Transcript
- Shaun: Welcome back to episode 81 of the reset with me Sean Tucker. When is enough enough? How many times do you have to say you're gonna do something and then not actually follow through? How many times is it gonna take for you to really once and for all commit to your growth? commit to becoming the person, the being that you desire to be. How long is it gonna take you to stop pleasing everyone else and putting everyone else first before you realize they don't care? The only person who should care about yourself is you. The only person who's gonna come and take care of yourself, guess what? It's you. So maybe instead of trying to perfectly plan everything out, instead of thinking, what if this happens? What if that happens? It's good for some people that they plan out the worst case scenarios so that they can avoid them. For other people, it's better that they have an overall idea of what the goal is and the destination is. But don't be overly cautious. Don't be overly cautious on what might happen because when you start playing from the land of the mind, which I've heard it been referred to as the land of nowhere, you will get nowhere. You will continue to loop around and around and around and around because the mind loves to hold onto things. And so if you've done work on yourself, you you've gone and done all this mindset work and working on these blockages you've had since childhood or whatever the case. The fact of the matter is, if you keep on coming from that place of doubt, that place of thought, or even feeling, you know, being in the body or being in the mind, you're gonna keep on coming up against resistance no matter what. And should that stop you from taking action? For 99.9 % of people, yes it will. These statistics are made up by the way. It's probably even more than that. For most people, they won't take action because it doesn't feel right. They don't feel ready. They don't feel prepared enough. but the thing that will make you prepared is actually taking the action. The thing to take on board is the lesson that you're still writing. that you're still taking action on? Because how the hell do you plan for a ⁓ class that doesn't exist yet? You don't. You have some vague ideas and vague goals around the intention of the class. But if you don't adapt that and adjust that to the students who are with you, you're not gonna get anywhere. and they're probably not going to enjoy the process of learning what it is you have. And this is the thing, great visionaries, great leaders are able to sell really well because they can speak language and they can speak things into existence. They can use language to really speak the vision into existence, which is all just potential. It's funny because the imagination and I guess the thing we're all trying to attain. might be too far away from either it us reaching it ever us us ever reaching it doesn't mean we shouldn't chase it doesn't mean we can't move towards it I remember reading Mystic's Musings by Sadhguru and I was thinking when I was reading this particular paragraph it was along the lines of no one ever did anything great in one lifetime and this is wildly paraphrased. But essentially if you have a goal that is so big that you don't think you're going to reach it in this life form and you can pass it on to the next generation and the next generation, like that's what you should be striving for. If you have goals that you are going to meet easily in this lifetime, what's the point in trying to go for them? you're probably going to get bored. What do you move on to next? Whereas if you really strive for something that's so far-fetched, so massive, so big that most people call you crazy, That's the goal that I want to have part of my life. That's what I want to try and attain. Because it doesn't matter if we get it in this lifetime. What matters is we do everything we can in order to achieve what we set out to achieve. And that is so much cooler. But the thing that gets people stuck in their own ways is they start doubting. They start thinking, am I really worth chasing something so big? Do I value myself enough to have and hold this vision? And if I can't see it in this lifetime, well what's the point? That's not the point at all. These are all things coming just from the mind. The land of nowhere. The place that will continue to loop around if you let it. Because what happens when you do that inner work on yourself when it comes to anger or rage or whatever? Initially, you do the work, you're not triggered by it emotionally, and then, I don't know, a week or two later, you get the same level of trigger. And the response or reaction is exactly the same. And you're sitting there thinking, But I already cleared this, why am I reacting? Well, hell, why am I getting triggered? The truth that no one will probably tell you, or far fewer people will mention to you, is that there's always going to be work to do. And if you're coming from a place of the mind, you will be stuck in an infinite loop. Because the mind has a condition that it wants to hold on to experiences. It wants to hold and grab this thing that it's to be experienced. You can't actually hold it. Think about the time where you've been most happy. If you tried to make that your experience every single moment now, you'd be stuck in time. The feelings that we generate within ourselves in response to the experience that we had, that's what we should be seeking. Not the actual experience or the memory itself. It's being touched by something so deeply within our own being that we are joyful no matter what. We are ecstatic, we are loving from our own inner experience and that shouldn't be attached to anything. I shouldn't be attached to someone or something or whatever's happened in the past, whatever's gonna happen in the future. you have the ability to generate it right now. And this is the pathway of, I suppose, spirituality or religion to a certain degree. Is it seeking these inner experiences from yourself? Is being able to find something deep within yourself that can express itself or you can really open up to the experience of life as it is? Not as it ought to be. not as you think it should be like this. You know, if I achieve my goal, then I'll be happy. What if every step towards the goal you could smile and actually be happy? Wouldn't that be worth striving for? In my case, that's exactly what I'm striving for. And I would love for you to join me as well. You know, it's not for the plain hearted. You're constantly going to get tested. You're constantly going to have to take the curriculum again and again and again and again until finally what you speak, what you think, what you say. what you take action on is in the same direction. Because when all of that comes into the same direction Yes life will still surprise you, but you have mastery over how you respond. you can choose how to respond. I don't know about you, but choosing how to respond. Whether life is sad, angry, whatever happens. Whether we're in chaos, we're in bliss, the external situations are happening. Whether we are in war, whether we are in peace. It would be nice if we could generate our own experience to be the way that we want it. what I'm striving for. So, if you found value in today's episode, share it with one person. We would really appreciate it. It's how we grow the show organically, and that is how we get more reach and more impact on someone who needs to hear it. Thanks for tuning in. I look forward to seeing you in tomorrow's episode.
