- 0:03Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn say.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Hester and Hester got it fine on a foe from
- 0:10Speaker 1: carrying each other to a natty to carrying each other on.
- 0:14Speaker 2: The air, there's Brock Control.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Live from the Raising Caine Studio. It's off the Bench,
- 0:56Speaker 1: all right.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Welcome back O t b Our number three here on
- 1:00Speaker 3: this Tuesday morning.
- 1:01Speaker 4: Tuesday Shows brought to you by friends over at.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Community Still Community steel co dot com is the website
- 1:07Speaker 3: right there in Gonzales, Louisiana.
- 1:09Speaker 4: I go check them out today, Taytay.
- 1:12Speaker 3: I know this is something you put in the doc
- 1:14Speaker 3: and wanted to hit on, and it's a good one
- 1:17Speaker 3: to talk about because last year, according to ESPN dot com,
- 1:21Speaker 3: the New Orleans Saints had the thirty second best roster
- 1:25Speaker 3: in the National Football League. Matt, how many teams are
- 1:28Speaker 3: in the National Football League? That would be thirty two.
- 1:31Speaker 3: They put them as the worst roster in football. This year,
- 1:36Speaker 3: they're not last. Okay, now, it's a step, it's not
- 1:41Speaker 3: a jump. They go from thirty two to twenty.
- 1:43Speaker 5: Six, Okay, respectable.
- 1:46Speaker 3: So it's not great. It's not saying that they're a
- 1:51Speaker 3: playoff team by any means. I would argue they're probably
- 1:54Speaker 3: somewhere more realistically like twenty two to twenty three range.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Still obviously work to do. But last year it was
- 2:02Speaker 3: a roster that just didn't have any juice to it.
- 2:05Speaker 3: It was a lot of unknowns. It felt like it
- 2:07Speaker 3: had aging stars, it felt like it didn't have, you know,
- 2:11Speaker 3: draft choices.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Ever living up to the hype a lot of different
- 2:13Speaker 4: things on this roster.
- 2:15Speaker 3: I will say I feel much better about this roster
- 2:17Speaker 3: coming into this year than I did a year ago.
- 2:20Speaker 3: You've got Tyler Shuck, who we all feel like is
- 2:23Speaker 3: about to take a big step forward.
- 2:25Speaker 5: All right. He showed that last year.
- 2:27Speaker 3: You have an h chan at running back that I
- 2:29Speaker 3: thought was a top twelve running back in the National
- 2:32Speaker 3: Football League. Last year, you have if healthy, big if
- 2:36Speaker 3: Jordan Tyson, who you drafted eighth overall to pair with
- 2:39Speaker 3: Chris Alave. You made one of the best free agent
- 2:42Speaker 3: signings on the offensive line, the best interior offensive line
- 2:45Speaker 3: signing maybe in the NFL.
- 2:47Speaker 4: You get Cam Jordan back now you lose to Mario Davis,
- 2:49Speaker 4: but you get Kaden Ellis, somebody that knows the franchise
- 2:52Speaker 4: incredibly well.
- 2:54Speaker 3: I think the roster without a doubt. I wouldn't even
- 2:57Speaker 3: say much better than a year ago. Now, again, I'm
- 3:00Speaker 3: not saying it's a top fifteen roster right now. You
- 3:04Speaker 3: can maybe make the argument maybe it's right there at
- 3:06Speaker 3: twenty somewhere in that range, but it is better. You
- 3:09Speaker 3: do expect to see strides. You are in a division
- 3:13Speaker 3: that is it's weak. Let's call it like it is.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Let's be fair to the conversation. Every team in the
- 3:19Speaker 3: division last year had a losing record. If you look
- 3:21Speaker 3: at the NFC North, every team had a winning record.
- 3:24Speaker 3: So I'm not going to pretend that the NFC South
- 3:26Speaker 3: is up for the best division. So there's still even
- 3:30Speaker 3: if the roster's not top fifteen, there's still a reason
- 3:33Speaker 3: for Saints fans to be optimistic about what this year
- 3:35Speaker 3: can be considering the growth that they've made and also
- 3:38Speaker 3: the teams that you're playing.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Yeah, it's man, I remember having those conversations last year
- 3:45Speaker 5: about wow, they are thirty second ranked thirty second in
- 3:49Speaker 5: the league, but maybe they should I'd put them around
- 3:52Speaker 5: twenty nine probably. I remember having those conversations last year.
- 3:55Speaker 5: So it is certainly better. And this offseason has been yea,
- 3:59Speaker 5: we all feel like been a really good offseason for
- 4:02Speaker 5: you know, what they started with to what they've ended with,
- 4:05Speaker 5: so they've certainly made the improvements. I'm looking at the
- 4:07Speaker 5: list right now and kind of seeing the immediate teams
- 4:10Speaker 5: that are ranked above them, Carolina Panthers sitting at twenty four,
- 4:15Speaker 5: yet the New York Jets sitting at twenty five, and
- 4:18Speaker 5: then the Saints sitting at twenty six. So, you know,
- 4:22Speaker 5: can you make the argument that they have a better
- 4:24Speaker 5: roster than those two teams? Certainly, absolutely, one dred percent
- 4:27Speaker 5: you can. So they're you know, I think that that's
- 4:30Speaker 5: you know, probably properly ranked. Does that mean it's the
- 4:35Speaker 5: twenty six best team in the league. No, because I
- 4:37Speaker 5: think they're going to be one of the teams that
- 4:38Speaker 5: makes the playoffs this year. Now it has to do
- 4:40Speaker 5: with them being in a weak division, but I think
- 4:43Speaker 5: that I'm I will predict that the Saints do make
- 4:47Speaker 5: the playoffs. Now, a lot of that is going to
- 4:50Speaker 5: not a lot of that. I say that it's hard
- 4:51Speaker 5: to put a lot of anything on a on a rookie,
- 4:54Speaker 5: But some of that success that I think they'll have
- 4:57Speaker 5: does include Jordan Tyson being help the and available for
- 5:02Speaker 5: at least a large portion of the season. It's starting
- 5:06Speaker 5: to kind of feel like it's certainly not going to
- 5:07Speaker 5: be seventeen games, but at least for a large portion
- 5:11Speaker 5: of him being certainly a factor. And they win where
- 5:16Speaker 5: they went four to five last five of the game,
- 5:18Speaker 5: a season with Tyler Shuck playing, and that was with
- 5:22Speaker 5: a bad roster to start the season and with a
- 5:25Speaker 5: lot a lot of injuries, found a way under a rookie, yeah, exactly.
- 5:30Speaker 5: And they found away with a rookie quarterback that is
- 5:33Speaker 5: not being talked about enough going into the season, frankly,
- 5:36Speaker 5: And I don't understand why maybe the NFL talk really
- 5:40Speaker 5: hasn't like kicked up, because you know, we've had Baseball,
- 5:44Speaker 5: we had the we've got the World Cup going on,
- 5:46Speaker 5: there's a lot of there's a lot of things distracting
- 5:49Speaker 5: national media right now. Maybe it just hasn't kicked up enough.
- 5:54Speaker 5: But the amount of times I've heard Tyler Shuck's name
- 5:56Speaker 5: mentioned on ESPN Big ESPN, I can count on one hand. Yeah. Probably.
- 6:03Speaker 5: I think I saw I heard I think the morning
- 6:06Speaker 5: show on the National that that I listened to driving
- 6:08Speaker 5: into work. I think that Michelle Small's I think I
- 6:12Speaker 5: heard her talk about I think Tyler Shuck's going to
- 6:14Speaker 5: be a surprise person this year blah blah blah, and
- 6:16Speaker 5: any of the other guys, what that's your pick, blah
- 6:18Speaker 5: blah blah, Like I don't understand, but I think that
- 6:22Speaker 5: what he did last year and going into second year,
- 6:25Speaker 5: you know, I keep saying it about the quarterbacks making
- 6:28Speaker 5: their biggest strides between their first and second year in
- 6:30Speaker 5: the NFL. I think he's going to be an X factor,
- 6:33Speaker 5: and I think he's going to deliver you some wins
- 6:37Speaker 5: that might look ugly and might look that they're going
- 6:41Speaker 5: to beat better teams, better better rosters. You know, it
- 6:43Speaker 5: might not happen consistently, but they're going to do enough
- 6:47Speaker 5: to win that division this year and sink into the playoffs.
- 6:50Speaker 3: The team in the division that has, according to again
- 6:54Speaker 3: ESPN dot Com, the best roster is Tampa Bay. They
- 6:58Speaker 3: come in at number eighteen on this list. So Tampa
- 7:00Speaker 3: Bay comes in at eighteen, You've got Carolina who comes
- 7:04Speaker 3: in at twenty four. The Saints come in at twenty six,
- 7:07Speaker 3: and then the Atlanta Falcons are tied for twenty ninth
- 7:11Speaker 3: with the Arizona Cardinals.
- 7:13Speaker 5: Now also too weird that they put a tie at
- 7:15Speaker 5: twenty nine on this list like.
- 7:17Speaker 2: That, you got to show the respect, mad, I mean,
- 7:19Speaker 2: they look if they're tied, they're tied.
- 7:22Speaker 5: They got a two in front of it. Let's put
- 7:24Speaker 5: them at thirty.
- 7:26Speaker 4: So it kind of tells you what what metric were.
- 7:28Speaker 5: They using, Like well, number zo numbers they're tied.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Tells you what people think of the the NFC South there.
- 7:36Speaker 3: If we're going to look at this list and it's
- 7:38Speaker 3: totality and not just look at the NFC South portion
- 7:40Speaker 3: of it, the Chicago Bears come in at number seventeen.
- 7:45Speaker 3: That one is a pretty surprising number for a team
- 7:48Speaker 3: that won their division a year ago, and again a
- 7:52Speaker 3: division that had every team have a winning record, And
- 7:55Speaker 3: when you look at what the Bears have, I'm a
- 7:58Speaker 3: little bit surprised at how far down the list they
- 8:01Speaker 3: are because like the other teams in this conversation for
- 8:04Speaker 3: the most part, or non playoff teams. Now, the Steelers
- 8:07Speaker 3: do come in at number nineteen. They made the playoffs
- 8:09Speaker 3: a year ago, But you're surprised at Chicago all the
- 8:13Speaker 3: way down there at number seventeen.
- 8:15Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, that is a bit surprising. I'm trying, I'm
- 8:18Speaker 5: looking at this roster and really trying to you know,
- 8:22Speaker 5: of course, I'm not going to have fifty per names here,
- 8:24Speaker 5: but I'm just trying to Kealeb williamspace quarterback. Yeah, kelb
- 8:27Speaker 5: Wenys space quarterback. I got that check mark on that one.
- 8:32Speaker 5: You know, you tell me, mister NFL guy.
- 8:37Speaker 4: I like DeAndre Swept.
- 8:38Speaker 3: I think him and Kalmannungai are a great one to
- 8:40Speaker 3: two punch at the running back position. I felt like
- 8:43Speaker 3: they had a good year a year ago that nobody
- 8:45Speaker 3: really talks about as far as what they did together.
- 8:49Speaker 3: I think Roma Dunda is going to have to play
- 8:52Speaker 3: at a high level for them to achieve where they
- 8:54Speaker 3: want to go. I'm gonna be honest and say that
- 8:56Speaker 3: I think Luther Burdens the best receiver on that team.
- 9:00Speaker 5: I really do.
- 9:00Speaker 3: And I know Rome Adomday was the first round pick,
- 9:02Speaker 3: and I think Rome's a good player.
- 9:04Speaker 5: I think Luther Burden could be special.
- 9:06Speaker 3: You've heard me talk about him ever since he was
- 9:07Speaker 3: a freshman at Missouri. I think he's going to be
- 9:10Speaker 3: the best receiver on that team. They've got two tight
- 9:12Speaker 3: ends that they like and Colston Loveland Nicole Comet. They
- 9:15Speaker 3: understand their roles on the team. They lost their center,
- 9:19Speaker 3: he retired a little bit unexpectedly early, right, not even thirty.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Yet they go make a move they trade for Brad
- 9:25Speaker 3: Burry to be their center from New England. So offensively,
- 9:29Speaker 3: I like a lot of who they are and what
- 9:30Speaker 3: they are. Defensively, I like some of the moves that
- 9:33Speaker 3: they've made. The thing they did not do that's going
- 9:35Speaker 3: to get them in trouble. They did not add a
- 9:37Speaker 3: pass rusher. They did not add an edge rusher. They
- 9:41Speaker 3: needed to through the draft and through free agency, they
- 9:44Speaker 3: didn't do it. The only thing they did in free
- 9:45Speaker 3: agency was they added defensive tackles. Some veteran guys there.
- 9:49Speaker 3: That's good. It's not what you needed. And there's still
- 9:52Speaker 3: some out there. And that's why I got a little
- 9:54Speaker 3: nervous whenever Cam was out there and the wilderness looking
- 9:57Speaker 3: for a team, because well, Dennis all def it's a
- 10:01Speaker 3: coordinator there in Chicago, knows him well, right, they know
- 10:04Speaker 3: each other well, and so he would have probably fit
- 10:06Speaker 3: in pretty easily into that Bears team. Glad he didn't,
- 10:09Speaker 3: but they got to. I don't know what they think
- 10:11Speaker 3: they have, but I don't see it. I think their
- 10:14Speaker 3: biggest weakness is their defensive front. And this article agrees
- 10:17Speaker 3: with it. It kind of talks about the same things.
- 10:19Speaker 3: But Pat and I talk about it all the time
- 10:21Speaker 3: on the NFL channel. Why did you not add an
- 10:24Speaker 3: edge rusher? You were a team that has a right
- 10:26Speaker 3: you made it, you made a run last year. You're
- 10:29Speaker 3: a team that has a roster that's closed already. Why
- 10:31Speaker 3: wouldn't you go add an edge rusher. They just didn't
- 10:34Speaker 3: because they got Dennis Allen the X factor. They don't
- 10:37Speaker 3: need good players, and you got that defensive coordinator calling
- 10:40Speaker 3: the shots. M Okay, you can take that, take the
- 10:45Speaker 3: afternoon radio if you want. Nah, that's okay. And if
- 10:49Speaker 3: they don't win, those those players under the bus.
- 10:52Speaker 4: He will do that.
- 10:55Speaker 3: But I was like, I was surprised Chicago was that
- 10:57Speaker 3: far down even with that, because like, the Cowboys are
- 10:59Speaker 3: four team. The Cowboys were a seven win team a
- 11:04Speaker 3: year ago. The Chiefs were a six win team. And
- 11:06Speaker 3: they come in a number twelve.
- 11:08Speaker 5: Who's got the best day has number ten on this list? Well, yeah, bro,
- 11:14Speaker 5: who's got the best defensive roster? Cowboys are the Bears?
- 11:18Speaker 5: Which one's better? Just from your opinion? Undefensively, he's got
- 11:22Speaker 5: the best roster on defense because I look at them
- 11:25Speaker 5: fairly similar. So the thing that pushes the Cowboys over
- 11:28Speaker 5: the edge would be they got two of the best
- 11:31Speaker 5: receivers on their team.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Yeah, Javonte Williams was really good at running back.
- 11:36Speaker 5: Man.
- 11:36Speaker 3: I look at the Cowboys traded for Rashan Gary from
- 11:40Speaker 3: Green Bay. That doesn't really do a whole lot for me.
- 11:43Speaker 3: They traded for d Winners. I do like him. During
- 11:46Speaker 3: the draft, Kobe Durant was added to this team. They
- 11:49Speaker 3: drafted Caleb Downs. I like all of you know, all
- 11:53Speaker 3: of those moves. I don't I don't know. I mean,
- 11:55Speaker 3: Cowboys were really bad on defense last year. I like
- 11:59Speaker 3: the high end moves better. For the Bears, they signed
- 12:03Speaker 3: Devin Bush from Cleveland. I thought he was a really
- 12:05Speaker 3: good player. Kobe Bryant comes over from Seattle. They spent
- 12:09Speaker 3: draft choices on the defense as well. Dylan Deneman, first
- 12:13Speaker 3: round pick out of Oregon. Liked him in the entire process.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Malik Muhammad out of Texas in the fourth round. I
- 12:20Speaker 3: still think. I think Chicago still has a better deal.
- 12:22Speaker 5: So if we're comparing, like I, the only thing that
- 12:26Speaker 5: is moving Dallas up is their receivers. Yeah, because you
- 12:29Speaker 5: look at it. I think Chicago's got the quarterback advantage,
- 12:33Speaker 5: and then you can make an argument for all the
- 12:35Speaker 5: other tied end you know, you know, Ferguson's a little
- 12:38Speaker 5: bit more established, but you can make a comparison. Yeah,
- 12:41Speaker 5: you can make a comp for all the positions on defense,
- 12:46Speaker 5: all the positions on offense except for receiver. Right, So
- 12:49Speaker 5: that's moving them up three four spot. Do some heavy lifting. Yeah,
- 12:53Speaker 5: so I feel like those two are comparable teams. I
- 12:58Speaker 5: just like Chicago's coach better and I like their quarterback better.
- 13:02Speaker 4: How about the Detroit Lions coming at number six on
- 13:04Speaker 4: this list.
- 13:05Speaker 5: I think I think that's correctly.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Yeah, the Baltimore Ravens coming at five on this list,
- 13:12Speaker 3: even though they didn't make the postseason a year ago.
- 13:16Speaker 4: There's some people that.
- 13:17Speaker 5: Love, and I mean love the race. Vegas loves the Ravens,
- 13:21Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying. Like we had that they have
- 13:22Speaker 5: the highest uh over under win uh WIND total in
- 13:27Speaker 5: the NFL, or at least tied with the highest, which
- 13:30Speaker 5: was like twelve and a half or something like that. Yeah,
- 13:33Speaker 5: crazy right, because what they went seven game? Eight games?
- 13:36Speaker 3: Yeah, losing record. Yeah hmm, I mean Zay Flowers is underrated.
- 13:46Speaker 5: He really is.
- 13:48Speaker 3: But like you're eleven personnel right now, you're rolling out
- 13:51Speaker 3: Zay Flowers, Rasha Bateman, and Jacoby Lane with Mark Andrews,
- 13:56Speaker 3: who I like, but getting a little bit older.
- 13:59Speaker 5: I don't know about that. It's funny to say, you know,
- 14:02Speaker 5: I think everybody can guess who number one on this
- 14:04Speaker 5: list is, and they're probably making this list and they
- 14:10Speaker 5: were probably like, yeah, they're number one. It's the Rams,
- 14:14Speaker 5: And I don't even think it's very close. And it's
- 14:18Speaker 5: incredible to even like think that that's that's part of,
- 14:22Speaker 5: you know, something that I would say. In the NFL,
- 14:25Speaker 5: when talent is supposed to be pretty equally spread, that's
- 14:27Speaker 5: pretty hard to make a list of the best roster
- 14:30Speaker 5: in the NFL. But this year it's hard to make
- 14:33Speaker 5: it from like two to thirty two. Number one is obvious,
- 14:35Speaker 5: and I don't think it's probably very close. The Jets. Yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 5: the Jets figured Denver at eight.
- 14:42Speaker 2: It's a little low for me because of the teams
- 14:45Speaker 2: that they're behind.
- 14:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm looking at it here.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Denver was good last year. Bottle is going to be
- 14:54Speaker 2: a sneaky Bottle is going to be awesome pair of
- 14:56Speaker 2: him with a six to four receiver in Courtland sudden.
- 14:59Speaker 5: Maybe not sneaky's what the right word to say, but
- 15:02Speaker 5: that I think that I think that move probably isn't
- 15:05Speaker 5: getting talked about enough. There's a couple of things not
- 15:07Speaker 5: getting talked about enough. I think that's that's one of them,
- 15:09Speaker 5: like Tyler shucks another one like legit and no, it's
- 15:12Speaker 5: not even with like a you know us being here
- 15:16Speaker 5: in South Louisiana. That's just like, look at what he did,
- 15:20Speaker 5: nobody's talking about him.
- 15:23Speaker 3: It feels weird the stuff that he did at the
- 15:26Speaker 3: end of last year and nobody's.
- 15:28Speaker 5: Talking about Doesn't it feel weird?
- 15:30Speaker 4: What people still don't even know how to say his
- 15:33Speaker 4: name right.
- 15:34Speaker 3: I'm not trying to find like literally like I will
- 15:37Speaker 3: hear people on major broadcast, major networks and they'll say
- 15:42Speaker 3: his name wrong and then be like ah, and they'll
- 15:45Speaker 3: try to fix it because they're not really sure how
- 15:47Speaker 3: you say it, yeah, and then like I don't know whatever,
- 15:49Speaker 3: and then just like kind of.
- 15:50Speaker 5: Movie they was just uncomfortable because it rhymes with a
- 15:52Speaker 5: curse word. Yeah, but they're uncomfortable. They don't want to.
- 15:56Speaker 4: Still like know the man's name, like he's he's done.
- 15:59Speaker 5: Heep ate less than half the year and he came
- 16:01Speaker 5: in second and Rookie of the Year voting. So yeah,
- 16:08Speaker 5: I guess you say it's pretty good. I give again.
- 16:11Speaker 5: It's gonna be fun. It'll because they're gonna be talking
- 16:15Speaker 5: about him come October. I mean at least November that
- 16:20Speaker 5: there's gonna be a lot more, a lot more talking
- 16:22Speaker 5: about him. So that's why you boys been buying some cards.
- 16:27Speaker 4: All right, we will step.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Away blocked in unless you football twenty four to seven
- 16:46Speaker 1: you're listening to off the bench.
- 17:21Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in no TV here live from
- 17:25Speaker 3: the Raisin Kine studio.
- 17:35Speaker 5: How are we doing? How are you like? Was this?
- 17:38Speaker 5: Has this been a good morning to like, get your
- 17:41Speaker 5: mind off of it a little bit? I'm sure you
- 17:42Speaker 5: didn't sleep a lot last night. Yeah, you're very angry
- 17:45Speaker 5: earlier earlier this show which you hit it well, you
- 17:48Speaker 5: did a nice job. Disappointed, but I have how are
- 17:52Speaker 5: we feeling? It's nuts third hour nine, I'm feeling better,
- 17:56Speaker 5: nerves a little bit better.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Look I have again. I am not an every four
- 18:01Speaker 4: year fan.
- 18:01Speaker 5: I am in every match, every.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Tournament, every whatever you want to call it, fan of
- 18:07Speaker 3: the United States men's national team. So I've been through
- 18:10Speaker 3: enough of these to kind of know what it is
- 18:12Speaker 3: how to cope with them not playing their best game
- 18:17Speaker 3: on the biggest stages.
- 18:18Speaker 5: So when is when's the next time I get to
- 18:21Speaker 5: cheer for USA.
- 18:23Speaker 3: So you'll have some tournaments, You'll have Nations League, you'll
- 18:26Speaker 3: have the Gold Cup, you'll have reports are that will
- 18:29Speaker 3: be in Copa America as well, which is going to
- 18:32Speaker 3: be okay, it's going to be between like if we're
- 18:37Speaker 3: in it now. It's usually a South American tournament, so
- 18:40Speaker 3: every country in South America it's their tournament, but every
- 18:43Speaker 3: so often they'll allow like multiple teams from CONCACAF, which
- 18:48Speaker 3: is you know, Canada, Mexico, US Panama, those teams, they'll
- 18:52Speaker 3: allow them to enter the tournament as well, And so
- 18:55Speaker 3: it would be kind of your confederation, not all of it,
- 18:58Speaker 3: but half the teams are the better team teams against
- 19:00Speaker 3: their confederation.
- 19:03Speaker 5: CEO part of CONKA CAF and COPA confederation. What that
- 19:09Speaker 5: is so funny, Like I don't think I've ever like,
- 19:11Speaker 5: what is COPA. That's the first thing that came to
- 19:13Speaker 5: my mind, Like what is COPA mean? What does good.
- 19:18Speaker 4: Calf you know what, it's so Confederation of North Central
- 19:23Speaker 4: America and Caribbean Association Football.
- 19:26Speaker 5: That's CONCA. CAF just rolls right off the town.
- 19:32Speaker 3: H It's funny, like nobody's ever asked, and I'm like,
- 19:38Speaker 3: you know what, I don't know, but I do know
- 19:44Speaker 3: that Copa America is the oldest international continental football tournament
- 19:49Speaker 3: in the world.
- 19:50Speaker 5: In soccer. Cope is the Spanish and poetry is word
- 19:52Speaker 5: for cup. Can't be it right, M Yeah it is.
- 20:02Speaker 5: So it's Copa America, would be the America Cup or
- 20:08Speaker 5: Copa Suda America. We're learning something, guys. Copa Wow, pretty
- 20:16Speaker 5: pretty imaginative. I mean it's old.
- 20:19Speaker 4: I mean and then you know, back then, it was
- 20:22Speaker 4: just like, hey, let's play for this cup.
- 20:23Speaker 5: We're South America. Cope America. Yeah, love that.
- 20:29Speaker 4: TATA.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Our guy Bill bender Over at The Sporting News predicts
- 20:34Speaker 3: his twelve playoff teams in twenty twenty six.
- 20:37Speaker 5: I had even looked at the list. Okay, we'll go
- 20:41Speaker 5: one thing.
- 20:41Speaker 4: Do I want to open the list?
- 20:43Speaker 5: Oh? You might.
- 20:48Speaker 4: I'm going to say that the Buckeyes are going to
- 20:50Speaker 4: be on this list.
- 20:51Speaker 5: Your hivestate Buckeyes are on this list.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Oh, weird, Yeah, weird. I am going to say that.
- 20:58Speaker 5: Gosh, it's the kind of tougher A thought.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Miami, Yes, all right, Miami's in this list.
- 21:05Speaker 5: Oregon, Oregon is on here.
- 21:09Speaker 4: Succeed succeed, okay, bils a big ten guy.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Indiana, No, Indiana right, No, I'm sorry, Indiana is on here.
- 21:24Speaker 5: He has them as a first round by.
- 21:26Speaker 2: So so back all right, Texas, yeah, Texas is He
- 21:36Speaker 2: actually has Texas. Ohio stayed in the quarterfinals against each other.
- 21:40Speaker 5: I'm like that. I gotta say, he's gonna put Georgia
- 21:42Speaker 5: in there.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Yes, Georgia is here. They're the two seed. Actually overall,
- 21:47Speaker 2: Indiana's one is one. Indiana is the one seed.
- 21:54Speaker 3: It's a national article. And I love my boy Bill
- 21:56Speaker 3: been there. But I'm gonna say he put Notre Dame
- 21:58Speaker 3: in there.
- 21:58Speaker 5: Yeah, notre names here. Boo, Wait, don't they have to
- 22:01Speaker 5: be put in? Isn't that a rule? Now? Didn't? Wait?
- 22:05Speaker 6: What was the thing that they came up with last year?
- 22:08Speaker 6: They as long as they have put in, Bill puts
- 22:12Speaker 6: it in here, he said. The changes this year automatic
- 22:15Speaker 6: bids obviously acc Big ten, Big twelve, sec highest ranked
- 22:19Speaker 6: group of six against a birth and Notre Dame will
- 22:21Speaker 6: be included in the field if they finish in the
- 22:24Speaker 6: top twelve of the rankings. So if they finished ranked
- 22:26Speaker 6: top twelve, they automatically make.
- 22:28Speaker 5: That's the rule. And they mean they will because they
- 22:31Speaker 5: played nobody because they're cowards. M can you say that
- 22:40Speaker 5: now that you don't do college radio, Notre names cowards?
- 22:44Speaker 5: Oh yeah, for sure. Okay, I still like Marcus, but yeah,
- 22:47Speaker 5: Notre Dame has been that. I mean Marcus, I like
- 22:50Speaker 5: him too, but he's the coach of a bunch of cowards.
- 22:55Speaker 4: It's going to have another SEC team.
- 22:58Speaker 2: He's got two more and they actually he actually has
- 23:02Speaker 2: the SEC playing against each other in the first round,
- 23:06Speaker 2: like the games that will be on campus.
- 23:08Speaker 5: Two more. We've said, you said Texas, and you've said, uh.
- 23:14Speaker 3: I don't think l she's in here because the way
- 23:15Speaker 3: you answered the first question, L.
- 23:17Speaker 2: She was not on here. Oklahoma to right back, Oklahoma's
- 23:21Speaker 2: on There is the nine seed.
- 23:25Speaker 5: They play.
- 23:26Speaker 2: They play an SEC team A m are Old Miss y'all, y'all,
- 23:34Speaker 2: all right, it is it is one of those teams.
- 23:36Speaker 5: I'm gonna say.
- 23:38Speaker 2: It's the Old Miss Rebels. The eight nine match up
- 23:41Speaker 2: Old Miss versus Oklahoma.
- 23:43Speaker 5: All right, Hey, look, I when when I when I
- 23:48Speaker 5: think of preseason rankings, when I think of how teams
- 23:52Speaker 5: are going to do and trying to predict on you know,
- 23:55Speaker 5: which team is going to do what and make a run,
- 23:58Speaker 5: I usually always do fault to the quarterback. And I'll
- 24:03Speaker 5: take the way Trinidad Chamblis was playing at the end
- 24:05Speaker 5: of the year, I'll take him over any quarterback in
- 24:09Speaker 5: college football going into the season. Now, I'll make change
- 24:11Speaker 5: my mind after the first couple of weeks, but the
- 24:13Speaker 5: way he played at the end of the year, I'll
- 24:15Speaker 5: take him over everybody, including the kid in Oregon got
- 24:23Speaker 5: Timore and that's that's favorite quarterback is back up. Yeah,
- 24:28Speaker 5: he just got there. He did. He just got there today.
- 24:31Speaker 5: Just transferred that broke yesterday. I think portals still open? Right?
- 24:37Speaker 5: I forgot about that. Does the portal open still?
- 24:41Speaker 2: I I made that joke to you the other day
- 24:45Speaker 2: and I was like, oh, yeah, you know, And and
- 24:47Speaker 2: Dylan really actually just transferred mad breaking news. I get
- 24:50Speaker 2: a text from Chris Marler, of all people, Jeess Tyler,
- 24:54Speaker 2: you didn't know he already transferred there. I'm like, Chris,
- 24:56Speaker 2: you're not part of the show. You don't get the joke.
- 25:00Speaker 5: I was like, no, inevitably, somebody lesson thought that as well,
- 25:03Speaker 5: and that probably should. I mean, you know, but what's
- 25:06Speaker 5: this deal. Obviously we're we gained thousands of listeners every day,
- 25:10Speaker 5: clearly across the world, no doubt also during the world. Yeah, well,
- 25:24Speaker 5: let me ask you that. Let me let me ask
- 25:27Speaker 5: you the question about what I just commented on turn
- 25:29Speaker 5: Out chamblis the way he played yesterday. Is there a
- 25:31Speaker 5: quarterback in college football you are taking over him to
- 25:37Speaker 5: start the year, start the year, to start the season
- 25:39Speaker 5: based on the performance last year.
- 25:43Speaker 4: Okay, so he man, gosh, he was so so good
- 25:46Speaker 4: last year.
- 25:47Speaker 3: But I think sometimes in a conversation like this, we
- 25:49Speaker 3: do forget some of the small and it's not really small,
- 25:52Speaker 3: the caveats of he's also going to be playing in
- 25:55Speaker 3: a new offense. And look, they can say it's the
- 25:57Speaker 3: same terminology, it's to shame this, that and the other.
- 25:59Speaker 3: They can say that, and it.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Would be true.
- 26:01Speaker 3: It would like we get that, but also like, not
- 26:05Speaker 3: just Lane Kiffin, but Charlie Weisser not there. So you
- 26:07Speaker 3: go when you bring somebody to that's going to try
- 26:10Speaker 3: to basically until look until we're proven wrong. Cosplay a
- 26:15Speaker 3: little bit of what that offense is because he was
- 26:18Speaker 3: there as an assistant to the assistant and then he
- 26:20Speaker 3: goes East Carolina, right is where he goes, and he's
- 26:23Speaker 3: a coordinator, and then he comes back and so you're
- 26:26Speaker 3: gonna be using the same terminology, the same plays. But
- 26:29Speaker 3: as you know, calling a play in a fields, it's
- 26:32Speaker 3: different than knowing what the offense is. I'm sure this
- 26:34Speaker 3: guy knows the offense backwards and forwards, no doubt about it.
- 26:37Speaker 4: But we have to see how that plays out.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Because to your point, I would be very excited if
- 26:42Speaker 3: Trinidad Champblis was my quarterback of my team coming back.
- 26:47Speaker 3: He's certainly a front runner for that conversation that you're
- 26:49Speaker 3: talking about MENSA for Miami, Like that's new for him too.
- 26:54Speaker 3: But like last year at Duke, he was really really good.
- 26:56Speaker 3: He's been going to Miami, so he's gonna have more
- 26:58Speaker 3: talent around him, so he'd be part of that conversation.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Julian Sayan would be a part of that conversation.
- 27:04Speaker 2: I think Julian Sayan might be the most overrated guy
- 27:06Speaker 2: going in the year Underrated.
- 27:09Speaker 5: He finalist.
- 27:11Speaker 2: He was a Heisman finalist a year ago, and like
- 27:13Speaker 2: people forget about that. Jeremih Smith, I went nowhere, Kyle
- 27:16Speaker 2: Parker's gonna be great. I think you know how to
- 27:18Speaker 2: stay like he's got weapons.
- 27:19Speaker 4: Yeah it is, yeah, my man.
- 27:22Speaker 3: The general Bobby Carpenter was like, man, Kyle Parkers gets
- 27:24Speaker 3: pretty good.
- 27:25Speaker 5: Like, yeah, I'm surprising. Left, he was great Left. I
- 27:27Speaker 5: thought he'd be one of the bigger weapons for Reil. Shoot.
- 27:29Speaker 5: Nobody did say Dante, though I would.
- 27:32Speaker 2: I would take Dante just because of the Yeah, just
- 27:35Speaker 2: going into the seasons safer I think, I mean he was,
- 27:37Speaker 2: he was pretty good at the end of the year.
- 27:39Speaker 2: He's back with Dan Lanning. It's safer because second year
- 27:42Speaker 2: of the program as a starter.
- 27:43Speaker 5: It's safer because of the stability around him, right, not
- 27:46Speaker 5: because of the kid.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Correct, Like player for player, I'm taking Trinidad, but situation,
- 27:51Speaker 2: I'm probably taking Dante more because he's more comfortable.
- 27:54Speaker 5: Yeah, And that's that's kind of the question for me.
- 27:56Speaker 5: The question is more like player to play, Like if
- 27:58Speaker 5: I'm building an offense around somebody, nobody played better, even Fernando,
- 28:03Speaker 5: Like Fernando looked like a pro out there playing and
- 28:08Speaker 5: my god, was he good? But I can't unsee the
- 28:14Speaker 5: last handfull of games Trinida played the throws that he
- 28:17Speaker 5: was making and the plays out of his make like
- 28:18Speaker 5: nearly single handedly took like a play away like one
- 28:21Speaker 5: one pass interference not call away from being the National
- 28:24Speaker 5: Championship game, right.
- 28:26Speaker 4: I mean I watched the I covered the sugar Bawl
- 28:29Speaker 4: was in the silence like game, and I was like,
- 28:31Speaker 4: oh man, this kid's heavy lifting here, like through a
- 28:35Speaker 4: back shoulder to on a seam route.
- 28:37Speaker 5: Yea like it, which is a big league throw and
- 28:40Speaker 5: meant to do it. Now, you see a lot of
- 28:42Speaker 5: passes that end up back shoulder that aren't necessarily meant
- 28:44Speaker 5: to it. Meant to be back shoulder in a seam
- 28:48Speaker 5: route in college tells me a lot about how much
- 28:53Speaker 5: a kid has grown and how much like how he's
- 28:55Speaker 5: seeing the field. So I'm just saying, watch out for
- 28:57Speaker 5: that guy. Like if I'm picking and I'm determining like
- 29:00Speaker 5: over under totals on teams, like doing a little Vegas bedding,
- 29:04Speaker 5: whatever you want to do, if you're looking at before
- 29:08Speaker 5: the season, if you're looking at placing or predicting, whatever
- 29:11Speaker 5: you want to do. I always always look at quarterback
- 29:15Speaker 5: and what they did at the end of last year.
- 29:17Speaker 5: So I take the quarterback every time? Why, Jacob, Because
- 29:24Speaker 5: it's the most important sports. Yeah, go ahead.
- 29:27Speaker 4: A couple of returning quarterbacks. Drew Messenmakers is going to
- 29:31Speaker 4: be at Oklahoma State now not North Texas. He led
- 29:33Speaker 4: the country in passing.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Yards last year by a lot, so going to be
- 29:38Speaker 3: a step up obviously in competition for him. Dariy Minsay,
- 29:41Speaker 3: as we said, goes from Duke to Miami. You've got
- 29:44Speaker 3: some others. Kevin Jennings is back for another year at SMU.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Somebody feels like he's been in college for seventeen seasons.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Josh Hoover going from TCU to Indiana. So it's a
- 29:53Speaker 3: couple of the quarterbacks that are going to be coming back.
- 29:56Speaker 3: Mayaba is coming back at USC, right, Yeah, so have
- 30:00Speaker 3: another year of him.
- 30:01Speaker 5: He was fifth in the country Taylor. Where do you
- 30:02Speaker 5: rank Marcel at A and M. Where do you rank
- 30:04Speaker 5: him in the SEC? He's killed l s U two
- 30:09Speaker 5: years in a row.
- 30:10Speaker 2: However, dude, you go look game by game at least
- 30:13Speaker 2: rushing wise, Helo, she's kind of in the outlier. You
- 30:16Speaker 2: get two games last year where he ran over seventy yards.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Only one with the one hundred yards and multiple touchdowns
- 30:21Speaker 2: that was LSU. I mean, it's like he's been great
- 30:24Speaker 2: against LSU, above average against everybody else. I don't know five,
- 30:30Speaker 2: not eight like you said earlier, but five or what
- 30:33Speaker 2: that list was.
- 30:33Speaker 5: Five. I guess maybe it's one of those times you
- 30:36Speaker 5: you're looking at something on the Instagram and you're really
- 30:38Speaker 5: interested in what you're reading, but it refreshes on you
- 30:41Speaker 5: and like you can't never find it again. That's what
- 30:43Speaker 5: happened yesterday. It's like, I don't know why I didn't
- 30:46Speaker 5: refresh earlier before I started scrolling. Kissed me. Yeah.
- 30:50Speaker 2: I mean here, you take above him March. I'm taking
- 30:52Speaker 2: Gunner Stocked and above him under Stock has won a
- 30:55Speaker 2: lot of games.
- 30:56Speaker 5: There, Georgia take Trinidad.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Taking Trinidad, I'm taking Sam because Sam's a better player.
- 31:02Speaker 5: Sam's a better player. So there's two years ago, so
- 31:04Speaker 5: there's four, right, there's what fifth Alabama?
- 31:08Speaker 2: You don't know. Kenny Minch hadn't played in the conference yet.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Missouri's got Austin Simmons. He wasn't great when he played
- 31:14Speaker 2: at all. Miss I mean, there's a lot of unknown
- 31:17Speaker 2: John Mattier maybe yeah, MATERI materir yeah.
- 31:20Speaker 5: So okay, so six, I'm sure some people are taking
- 31:23Speaker 5: South Carolina. I know you're not, but maybe so. I mean,
- 31:30Speaker 5: I guess eight. Maybe it's not because what that puts
- 31:32Speaker 5: a bit six or seven right there? Not out of
- 31:34Speaker 5: the question.
- 31:39Speaker 4: All right, we will take a break. Lshue basketball.
- 31:43Speaker 5: Got some news.
- 31:45Speaker 4: Maybe it's not what you're thinking, but it is news.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Tigers turn talkers. This is off the bench.
- 32:24Speaker 5: Hey, we're with some Nick Thunderhill this week out of town.
- 32:28Speaker 5: Then it's the Little Vaca. Yeah for like two weeks.
- 32:33Speaker 4: Yeah, somewhere, Yeah, somewhere abroad if I remember correct, my country,
- 32:39Speaker 4: if I remember correctly.
- 32:40Speaker 3: I always want to remind you of our friends over
- 32:42Speaker 3: at Rouses. They're cool, they're awesome, they're the best. Go
- 32:46Speaker 3: to rousses dot com, find the location that's most convenient
- 32:49Speaker 3: for you, and then you can be able to check
- 32:50Speaker 3: out the weekly specials over at your well. I want
- 32:54Speaker 3: to say, like your your local Rouses. But they kind
- 32:57Speaker 3: of got specials everywhere. Yeah, just depending on which one
- 33:00Speaker 3: that's gonna be continuing for you. So a little bit
- 33:02Speaker 3: different there, but always something going on. Like I went
- 33:04Speaker 3: in there the fifteen here, twenty percent off there. Even
- 33:07Speaker 3: when you know you have my high, that's a percentage offen.
- 33:11Speaker 5: Yeah, when I got the date trunk.
- 33:14Speaker 3: It still happens. So like it's always something going on
- 33:17Speaker 3: the Rouses. Like I walked in there the other day
- 33:19Speaker 3: and I was just blown away with some of the
- 33:21Speaker 3: what digit a lot of specials that they had, And
- 33:23Speaker 3: that's gonna be, you know, at every Rouses. So they're
- 33:25Speaker 3: gonna have those, you know, those broad ones that's gonna
- 33:28Speaker 3: be at every store, but also like your local rouse
- 33:30Speaker 3: are gonna have local specials for your store as well
- 33:33Speaker 3: to always give you the website Rouses dot com.
- 33:35Speaker 4: Go there today, get hydrated my high every Rouses right, Yes,
- 33:40Speaker 4: I'll say that wrong.
- 33:41Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah. I think there's one like little smaller like
- 33:47Speaker 5: or middle of downtown in New Orleans that's a little
- 33:51Speaker 5: bit smaller that it might not.
- 33:52Speaker 3: Be available there, But every other one, well, why you
- 33:55Speaker 3: hitting them the small one?
- 33:56Speaker 5: I'm not. It's great. It's a great little spot a
- 33:59Speaker 5: little well that one's kind of like smaller on purpose though,
- 34:05Speaker 5: because it's like right in the middle of the about.
- 34:09Speaker 5: You'll get it. Tell me more else dot com. Yeah,
- 34:17Speaker 5: go to Rosses dot com, Rosses dot com. I need
- 34:21Speaker 5: to stay true to myself for a little bit, just
- 34:23Speaker 5: for a couple of minutes here, Okay, I need to
- 34:26Speaker 5: give everybody because everybody's been waiting. They've waited. This is
- 34:29Speaker 5: in up over two and a half hours now for
- 34:31Speaker 5: a Tour de France update, So go ahead, got a
- 34:35Speaker 5: big change. It's no it's no secret. While we got
- 34:39Speaker 5: these yellow panels next to this obviously community steel, but
- 34:42Speaker 5: the best bike rider in the whole world is now
- 34:45Speaker 5: donning the yellow jersey. Todday, Pagacha takes the stage victory
- 34:50Speaker 5: yesterday Stage three victory and takes the yellow jersey away.
- 34:57Speaker 5: The Mao de Joan takes it away from his arrival
- 34:59Speaker 5: on then to Go, so they actually overall after three
- 35:03Speaker 5: stages they have the exact same time. So technically from
- 35:07Speaker 5: a time standpoint, they they're the same. But because of
- 35:11Speaker 5: the different rules, he wins the stage, so he gets
- 35:15Speaker 5: the yellow jersey. So it is up to his team.
- 35:18Speaker 5: It's up to his UA team to defend the yellow
- 35:22Speaker 5: jersey now, which is they've proven four times already in
- 35:25Speaker 5: their their career are in today's career that they are
- 35:28Speaker 5: very good at doing that so it's going to be
- 35:30Speaker 5: an exciting tour. They are in stage four today. They
- 35:34Speaker 5: got about twenty six point one miles left in today's race,
- 35:37Speaker 5: so it looks like the breakaway is going to get
- 35:39Speaker 5: away today. Jake, you definitely remember what the breakaway means.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Hold on, what's the big group of writers called the
- 35:47Speaker 5: main group? You remember anyways? US Postal Service? Yes, that's
- 35:54Speaker 5: what it was when.
- 35:57Speaker 3: As the peloton, So the breakaway is after nobody's kind
- 36:00Speaker 3: of used all their energy to get the main guys
- 36:03Speaker 3: slingshot into the front.
- 36:04Speaker 5: No, so the peloton is the main group of bike riders,
- 36:08Speaker 5: racers usually where the yellow jersey is usually, so it's
- 36:12Speaker 5: like the big group. They all ride together, so they're
- 36:14Speaker 5: all drafting it off to each other and everything. The
- 36:16Speaker 5: breakaway is a group of a smaller group of people
- 36:19Speaker 5: that go out in front and try to like sprint
- 36:21Speaker 5: at the beginning, try to do they break away from
- 36:24Speaker 5: the group and they try to go and they try
- 36:27Speaker 5: to get enough. Like usually a small group of like
- 36:30Speaker 5: two or three or four is not gonna make it
- 36:32Speaker 5: because it's not enough people to lead the way and
- 36:34Speaker 5: let everybody else draft. But if they get a big
- 36:36Speaker 5: enough group then they can a lot of times they
- 36:40Speaker 5: can survive, they can get out there, and sometimes a
- 36:43Speaker 5: peloton doesn't want to chase them down because they don't
- 36:44Speaker 5: need to. Well, today they had about I think about
- 36:47Speaker 5: almost thirty riders breakaway, so it looks like they are
- 36:51Speaker 5: going to crush it. The peloton's almost like eight minutes
- 36:53Speaker 5: behind them with like twenty twenty five miles left, so
- 36:56Speaker 5: it looks like the breakaway is going to win. Today
- 36:58Speaker 5: they got a couple of leaders. They're for position right now.
- 37:01Speaker 5: It's gonna be exciting. The peloton will chase down the
- 37:04Speaker 5: breakaway if somebody in the peloton thinks they have a
- 37:08Speaker 5: chance at winning the stage. That's like one of the
- 37:11Speaker 5: main GC teams ggc's General Competition. That's the guys that
- 37:16Speaker 5: go for the elegent, go for the overall win. But
- 37:20Speaker 5: like yesterday, the breakaway, everybody, all the announcers thought that
- 37:23Speaker 5: the breakaway was going to survive and win. So for
- 37:26Speaker 5: whatever is and Toddy Pagatcha's team, they spent a lot
- 37:29Speaker 5: of energy to attack and try to catch it because
- 37:32Speaker 5: they thought Todday had a good chance of winning. Todday
- 37:35Speaker 5: basically mid races like I feel great, let's go. I'm
- 37:37Speaker 5: gonna spend your energy, teammates, because I'm gonna go take
- 37:40Speaker 5: this victory. And they did it and they achieved it.
- 37:43Speaker 5: Like but the whole time they're like, I don't know
- 37:44Speaker 5: why this UA team's pushing so hard. Well they figured
- 37:47Speaker 5: out why because today is the man anyone, and he
- 37:51Speaker 5: took the oellow jersey, so it was all worth it.
- 37:52Speaker 5: But today you can tell, like when you have the
- 37:55Speaker 5: yellow jersey, pretty much it's your team's responsibility to lead
- 37:59Speaker 5: the peloton the whole time and defend it. Everybody wants
- 38:02Speaker 5: to just draft off to you, so you could tell
- 38:05Speaker 5: that they're not trying to do it. They're like eight
- 38:06Speaker 5: minutes behind right now, so there's nobody that is a
- 38:09Speaker 5: threat to the yellow jersey or in the breakaway. That's
- 38:12Speaker 5: why they don't chase him down. That's let him go
- 38:16Speaker 5: there you go. It feels like to kind of pair
- 38:20Speaker 5: this to soccer.
- 38:21Speaker 3: Sure, it feels like all these players are doing all
- 38:24Speaker 3: this work and like, you know, all these passes and
- 38:26Speaker 3: they make the run and they get they get fouled
- 38:28Speaker 3: in the box. It's like and then Rinaldo just says no, no, no, no, no,
- 38:33Speaker 3: I take my team, he grabs the ball, he takes
- 38:36Speaker 3: the penalty even exactly, and then he scores the goal.
- 38:40Speaker 4: It feels like a lot like that.
- 38:42Speaker 5: Yeah, kind of yeah. But what's exciting about the Tour
- 38:46Speaker 5: de France is there are some very key stages. There's
- 38:51Speaker 5: twenty one stages total. There's very key stages in this
- 38:53Speaker 5: thing where at the end of the day, your teammates
- 38:57Speaker 5: get you to a certain point on the mountain. But
- 39:00Speaker 5: at the end of the day, it's usually eye to
- 39:01Speaker 5: eye with your arrival. But the top writers in the
- 39:04Speaker 5: whole world, the one that everybody's fighting for and killing
- 39:07Speaker 5: themselves for, at the end of the day, it's those
- 39:10Speaker 5: two usually that look at each other and they're like,
- 39:12Speaker 5: all right, who can climb up this mountain? The back
- 39:14Speaker 5: and they attack each other and it's it's actually pretty cool.
- 39:16Speaker 5: Then you see like, oh, oh hell, those guys are
- 39:20Speaker 5: those guys are really good?
- 39:21Speaker 4: Right, yeah, all right, we will take a break.

- 40:53Speaker 3: movie that is just pure Americana.
- 40:56Speaker 5: Rocky four. God, I hate you cause that's where I
- 40:59Speaker 5: was gonna go. I mean there's a lot. I mean
- 41:01Speaker 5: there's it's a great answer though, Independence Day. I mean, yeah,
- 41:10Speaker 5: Rocky four, I mean that's the answer.
- 41:14Speaker 4: Another good one.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Ask the bench, what do you call the clothing you
- 41:18Speaker 3: wear in a pool, swim suit or bathing suit?
- 41:20Speaker 5: Really good question.
- 41:22Speaker 2: I think I kind of bounce back and forth, honestly,
- 41:24Speaker 2: Like I don't really have a It's.
- 41:25Speaker 5: Not like a snow snowball, snow Conesa.
- 41:28Speaker 1: No.
- 41:28Speaker 4: I think swim suit more, but go back and forth.
- 41:30Speaker 5: I do swim suit more as well, But I don't
- 41:33Speaker 5: think it's like the snowball snow cunt thing. You're like
- 41:36Speaker 5: you're one of the other on the other side. Like
- 41:39Speaker 5: this is like I think everybody kind of uses this
- 41:41Speaker 5: a little same. Somebody said Red Dawn, great movie original.
- 41:46Speaker 3: Asked the bench, are you glad you can rest now?
- 41:48Speaker 3: Like the United States Men's national team captain Polistic no.
- 41:52Speaker 5: He said that want to do a little bit more,
- 41:54Speaker 5: he said, he glad he said that.
- 41:57Speaker 4: Maybe I don't know, I missed that. If if he
- 42:00Speaker 4: did it, it's.
- 42:01Speaker 5: Not gonna surprise me, all right, really not gonna surprise
- 42:04Speaker 5: Mere's asked the bitch. Why has the United States men's
- 42:07Speaker 5: national team not reached the talent level of the elite
- 42:09Speaker 5: national teams that compete international play while the US women's
- 42:13Speaker 5: national team has.
- 42:14Speaker 3: I think the United States women's national team certainly was
- 42:18Speaker 3: a point of empsis before some other countries. And then
- 42:21Speaker 3: give them all their credit in the world for not
- 42:23Speaker 3: only like they did it before everybody and they were winning,
- 42:26Speaker 3: but then when everybody kind of caught up, they raised
- 42:28Speaker 3: their level of play to another level.
- 42:30Speaker 4: They didn't just stay there, right. They realized that teams
- 42:33Speaker 4: and countries were putting more resources and catching up to them.
- 42:36Speaker 4: And they had two choices.
- 42:37Speaker 3: We can be somebody's competitive but not maybe winning, or
- 42:40Speaker 3: we can raise our level of play and still be dominant.
- 42:43Speaker 4: And look, they're not gonna win.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Every tournament anymore, but they still win more than they lose,
- 42:47Speaker 3: and so give them credit for raising their level of play.
- 42:49Speaker 5: And I don't think they get pulled away like the
- 42:52Speaker 5: men do to other sports as much as they do
- 42:56Speaker 5: for the men, Like the right, wrong, or different, the
- 42:58Speaker 5: popularity of women's professional sports isn't as high as like
