- 0:16Speaker 1: Welcome into this Thursday edition of jagsam Kay Nanni Stevens,
- 0:19Speaker 1: Brian Sexts, and John Osier w Withney. Today's we're getting
- 0:21Speaker 1: ready to talk about the Jaguars Raiders game gonna happen
- 0:24Speaker 1: on Sundays. This team heads to Las Vegas a little
- 0:26Speaker 1: bit early this week to get ready for a matchup
- 0:29Speaker 1: their first after the bye weeks. Let's talk about our
- 0:31Speaker 1: big Things today, brought to you by de EH Government
- 0:33Speaker 1: Employees Health Association Benefits for federal employees and retirees. Big
- 0:38Speaker 1: thing number one, bye by bye week last week for
- 0:41Speaker 1: the Jaguars, bye week last week for the Raiders. We
- 0:44Speaker 1: Liam Cohen talked a little bit yesterday about what he
- 0:46Speaker 1: wants to see from his team coming.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Out of the buy the teams that maybe identify I
- 0:51Speaker 2: guess you could say an issue right issue or somewhere
- 0:54Speaker 2: where you're underperforming, slash where you're what you're doing well,
- 0:59Speaker 2: and either coming into this week right of their next game,
- 1:05Speaker 2: addressing those tangibly.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Like all right, we want to improve in this area. Well,
- 1:10Speaker 3: if you just say it might not get done, you're
- 1:13Speaker 3: usually from players, you get what you emphasize very very often.
- 1:19Speaker 3: And so if there's areas where you're trying to show
- 1:22Speaker 3: and improve, not just talking about it or getting the
- 1:26Speaker 3: stats and showing it well, going out addressing it in
- 1:29Speaker 3: the meeting, showing the examples, but then applying it to practice,
- 1:34Speaker 3: applying it to the walkthroughs of Okay, guys, these are
- 1:38Speaker 3: the tangible areas where we need to improve and what
- 1:40Speaker 3: we want to improve upon and actually go attack it right.
- 1:45Speaker 1: We've seen a lot of behind the scenes what the
- 1:47Speaker 1: team's been working on addressing some of the issues. Penalties,
- 1:50Speaker 1: you know, mistakes, kind of self inflicted stuff. But the
- 1:53Speaker 1: Raiders are going to come out this week doing similar things.
- 1:55Speaker 1: We both had disappointing games going into the bye week.
- 1:58Speaker 1: What's it going to take for the Jaguars to actually
- 2:00Speaker 1: correct these issues?
- 2:01Speaker 4: Listen, what are the issues?
- 2:03Speaker 5: Right?
- 2:03Speaker 4: I mean it's a long list. Whether it's lack of
- 2:05Speaker 4: sacks or too many sacks given up for penalties or
- 2:08Speaker 4: third down. If you get the running game started on offense,
- 2:11Speaker 4: I think that changes the dynamic. You know, look at
- 2:13Speaker 4: the numbers. The last three games. The Jaguars have not
- 2:16Speaker 4: run the ball very effectively and they have found themselves
- 2:19Speaker 4: behind the six having to convert on third down. And long,
- 2:22Speaker 4: and that of course leads to holding penalties or illegal
- 2:25Speaker 4: man downfield penalties. There's been a lot of them if
- 2:28Speaker 4: you get the running game, and I suspect, especially after
- 2:30Speaker 4: watching practice on Wednesday, I suspect that is a major
- 2:33Speaker 4: area of focus for this football team. The ability to
- 2:36Speaker 4: run the football like they did the first four games.
- 2:39Speaker 4: It will solve a lot of problems. It will calm
- 2:42Speaker 4: down an offense that was out of sorts the last
- 2:45Speaker 4: two games in particular.
- 2:46Speaker 6: Yeah, I think what Liam said during his you know
- 2:51Speaker 6: the quote, we ran.
- 2:53Speaker 7: Coaches do believe that if you emphasize something hard during
- 2:57Speaker 7: a week, you're gonna see it on Sunday. He's been
- 3:00Speaker 7: talking about penalties and pre snap stuff all season. I'm
- 3:04Speaker 7: sure they've addressed it in practice all season, but you know,
- 3:09Speaker 7: his emphasis on it since the Rams game has been
- 3:12Speaker 7: so big. I think he'll be disappointed on Sunday if
- 3:17Speaker 7: we see a repeat of Seattle and the Rams, which
- 3:20Speaker 7: was so much pre snap stuff and so many avoidable issues.
- 3:24Speaker 7: So to me, that's the storyline this week and they
- 3:26Speaker 7: cut those things out. If they do, they can get
- 3:29Speaker 7: to all the things that Brian was talking about, playing.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Smart football, big thing number two is going to be
- 3:32Speaker 1: back in action. We're talking about the Raiders. Rock Bauer
- 3:35Speaker 1: is going to be back in there. He was dealing
- 3:36Speaker 1: with an injury previously. John Liam Cohen talked a little
- 3:41Speaker 1: bit earlier this week. Actually, let's hear from coach Cohen.
- 3:43Speaker 1: He talked a little bit about what rock Bowers does
- 3:45Speaker 1: in the field.
- 3:46Speaker 3: He gets in and out of break so well. I
- 3:50Speaker 3: know he was like forty something men's vertical coming out
- 3:52Speaker 3: of high school. He's a very good athlete. He's like,
- 3:56Speaker 3: what do you need to fine as a football player?
- 3:58Speaker 3: I mean, he just has a knock for getting open.
- 4:02Speaker 3: He's harder to tackle than maybe just looking at the tay.
- 4:06Speaker 3: He'll break tackles, drag people down. He knows how to
- 4:11Speaker 3: wiggle and separate and also the contested catchability. So very
- 4:15Speaker 3: good player.
- 4:16Speaker 8: Have a lot of respect for him.
- 4:18Speaker 9: John.
- 4:19Speaker 1: We saw firsthand what rock Bars can do when they
- 4:21Speaker 1: played the Raiders last year. Now with him back in action,
- 4:23Speaker 1: what kind of problems does he present?
- 4:25Speaker 7: Well, sometimes in this league we've seen it a couple
- 4:28Speaker 7: for the last couple of years. Sometimes Hall of Fame
- 4:31Speaker 7: skill players win games. Jamar Chase DeVante Adams. I'm not saying,
- 4:35Speaker 7: brock Bars is the Hall of Famers in his second year.
- 4:38Speaker 7: But he's got that level of talent, that level of ability,
- 4:42Speaker 7: and when he's been healthy in the NFL, that level
- 4:44Speaker 7: of production. Him being back makes this a dramatically different
- 4:48Speaker 7: Raiders offense. You know, he's the kind of guy that
- 4:52Speaker 7: you can play well on first and second down, and
- 4:55Speaker 7: then it's third and eight, and then it's first and
- 4:58Speaker 7: ten because they throw him the ball. Bran He's he
- 5:01Speaker 7: makes this a much different dynamic for the Raiders offense.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Two guys in the locker room yesterday, John and Kai
- 5:06Speaker 4: that were focused on rock Bowers. The first was Trayvon Walker,
- 5:10Speaker 4: who played with him at Georgia. He just smiled and said,
- 5:13Speaker 4: he's a great player. Don't matter what you ask him
- 5:15Speaker 4: to do, whether it's to stand up and get down
- 5:18Speaker 4: the field or whether it's to put your hand in
- 5:19Speaker 4: the ground and block someone, He's just a great player.
- 5:22Speaker 4: And the other was Jordan Lewis. Now, normally you don't
- 5:25Speaker 4: talk to a cornerback about a tight end, but this
- 5:28Speaker 4: is the main receiving threat for the Las Vegas Raiders,
- 5:31Speaker 4: and they will put him out wide, they'll move him
- 5:33Speaker 4: into the slot Jordan Lewis talked about how the cornerbacks
- 5:36Speaker 4: have to be very respectful because he's tall, he's got length,
- 5:40Speaker 4: he's got strength over most corners in the league. The
- 5:42Speaker 4: Raiders use him and will create mismatches, and he's the
- 5:45Speaker 4: type of guy that they will look to first, they'll
- 5:48Speaker 4: look to second, they will throw the ball even when
- 5:50Speaker 4: it appears he's covered. He's a tremendous football player and
- 5:53Speaker 4: changes the dynamic for a Raiders team that hasn't played
- 5:56Speaker 4: very well recently.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Our final big thing today is going to be no quit.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Look to the other side of the football. Max Crosby
- 6:02Speaker 1: is obviously the name that sticks out. Trevor Lawrence talked
- 6:04Speaker 1: him a little bit about his energy and the no
- 6:07Speaker 1: quit attitude.
- 6:09Speaker 9: Really good player, very good. He's just he's one of
- 6:13Speaker 9: those guys you know, there's a there's a handful of them,
- 6:15Speaker 9: I mean a lot of great players in this league.
- 6:17Speaker 9: But as far as just those defensive edge, you know,
- 6:20Speaker 9: defensive end, pass rusher guys that are he's just constant, NonStop.
- 6:24Speaker 9: I think that's what you know is admirable about his
- 6:28Speaker 9: play is that it is just such a high motor. Obviously,
- 6:30Speaker 9: he's athletic and he's skilled and strong and good instincts,
- 6:33Speaker 9: but he plays really hard, so and that's something where
- 6:36Speaker 9: he makes a lot of plays because of that.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Now, Brian, Max Crosby didn't practice yesterday. I have a
- 6:42Speaker 1: feeling he'll probably find his way onto the field this
- 6:44Speaker 1: weekend though, And that what Trevor was just saying there.
- 6:47Speaker 1: He doesn't quit, so you can't just block him once.
- 6:49Speaker 1: You have to continue and follow through on it.
- 6:52Speaker 4: He's a great player and when you talk to people
- 6:53Speaker 4: all around the league and they talk about the Raiders,
- 6:55Speaker 4: he's the first name that they go to. I asked
- 6:58Speaker 4: Robert Hainsey, the center, about him, and Robert will see
- 7:00Speaker 4: him over him very much. But he talked about communication
- 7:03Speaker 4: being the key with Max Crosby and everyone knowing where
- 7:07Speaker 4: he's at and what the blocking scheme is, and him
- 7:10Speaker 4: as the center identifying and be able to get the team,
- 7:13Speaker 4: the offensive line together to understand that ninety eight doesn't
- 7:17Speaker 4: ever stop, so they've got to know where he is
- 7:20Speaker 4: at at old times and they will be very aware.
- 7:23Speaker 7: Yeah, you need to run well and you need to
- 7:27Speaker 7: get a lead in this game to keep Max Crosby
- 7:29Speaker 7: from being as much as the factors. Otherwise it could
- 7:31Speaker 7: be if his game gets close late. The Raiders have
- 7:35Speaker 7: two guys they can depend on for big plays late
- 7:37Speaker 7: while one is Bours the Olwen's Crosby. You don't want
- 7:41Speaker 7: to be in an obvious passing situation late in the
- 7:43Speaker 7: game with Crosby knowing you got to pass because he's
- 7:47Speaker 7: as Trevor said, he's one of a handful of guys.
- 7:49Speaker 7: What you know that in this league Miles Garrett who
- 7:54Speaker 7: if you're up, even if you double team him late,
- 7:57Speaker 7: he can wreck your game. So be up more than Yes, that's.
- 8:01Speaker 1: A good plan.
- 8:01Speaker 6: I like it.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Stay with us, Sarah and jag Zam coming up after
- 8:04Speaker 1: the Brave Gay checking when Raiders were poor, Leevi Edwards
- 8:06Speaker 1: to get a more.
- 8:06Speaker 6: In depth, in depth look at the game.
- 8:08Speaker 1: For Sundays.

- 8:22Speaker 1: Zipchair is furniture for fans. Pocom intor Let's edition of
- 8:27Speaker 1: Behind Enemy Lines where we check in with a media
- 8:29Speaker 1: member from the Jaguars opponent team, and this week the
- 8:32Speaker 1: team is heading to Las Vegas, so checking in with
- 8:34Speaker 1: Levi Edwards from the Raiders. Levi, thank you for joining us.
- 8:38Speaker 1: It's exciting, exciting times. I hope you had a great
- 8:40Speaker 1: bye week like we did, but similar situations this team
- 8:44Speaker 1: was in last year. I remember when we played, both
- 8:46Speaker 1: teams were kind of figuring out where they were going
- 8:47Speaker 1: to be in the draft lottery and whatnot. And now
- 8:50Speaker 1: going forward kind of in the midst of a rebuild. Right, So,
- 8:53Speaker 1: you guys have Pete Carroll coming in. When you look
- 8:55Speaker 1: back at the first eight weeks or so, what's kind
- 8:57Speaker 1: of your reflection of what you've seen so far.
- 9:00Speaker 8: Really just a lot of things need to be cleaned
- 9:02Speaker 8: up for the Las Vegas Raiders.
- 9:04Speaker 5: That's been my reflection.
- 9:05Speaker 8: You definitely see us, you know, some good things happening,
- 9:09Speaker 8: and there's definitely been a culture change, which is good. Obviously,
- 9:12Speaker 8: Pete Carroll has come in and he has that, you know,
- 9:14Speaker 8: experience of being able to turn the locker rooms around
- 9:17Speaker 8: and get guys to play for him, and I don't
- 9:19Speaker 8: necessarily see that being a problem. However, I just believe
- 9:22Speaker 8: that execution has not been at full strength. I think
- 9:27Speaker 8: a lot of these guys are still trying to acclimate,
- 9:29Speaker 8: especially on the offensive side of the ball, trying to
- 9:32Speaker 8: acclimate to a new playbook, to a new play style.
- 9:35Speaker 5: I just think that there's been some things that need
- 9:37Speaker 5: to be cleaned up.
- 9:38Speaker 8: Also, injuries have also played a factor, and it also hurts,
- 9:42Speaker 8: you know, when you don't have the depth that you
- 9:44Speaker 8: would like on this team to where you can't afford
- 9:46Speaker 8: to lose guys like Rock Bauers and lose guys like
- 9:48Speaker 8: the Kobe Myers and lose guys like Holton Mill. You
- 9:50Speaker 8: just can't afford to lose those kind of guys on
- 9:53Speaker 8: a team like this with the depth not being as
- 9:57Speaker 8: strong as you would like. So that's just been my
- 9:59Speaker 8: reflection so far.
- 10:00Speaker 1: You guys had a tough loss kind of going into
- 10:02Speaker 1: the bye week. The Jaguars in a similar position moving
- 10:05Speaker 1: to the Rams. As practice goes on this week, what
- 10:08Speaker 1: are some bye week changes maybe you're expecting or hoping
- 10:11Speaker 1: to see coming out this week?
- 10:13Speaker 8: Really just guys coming back, guys getting healthy. You see
- 10:16Speaker 8: Jacob Meyers back on the field, You see Brock moving
- 10:19Speaker 8: around a lot faster, a lot better. And we all
- 10:22Speaker 8: know what Brock can do when he's fully healthy. We
- 10:24Speaker 8: know what he's capable of. I believe we saw that
- 10:26Speaker 8: first hand even last year when the Jaguars came to
- 10:29Speaker 8: the Allegiance Stadium.
- 10:30Speaker 5: So a dynamic player, Gino Smith. He gets one.
- 10:33Speaker 8: Of his receivers that he's best friends with, Tyler Lockey.
- 10:36Speaker 5: He just entered the building.
- 10:38Speaker 8: And signed his contract and went straight to the practice field,
- 10:41Speaker 8: already not wasting any time making sure that he gets
- 10:44Speaker 8: back on the same page with Gino Smith, and they
- 10:45Speaker 8: did some great things with each other in Seattle. So
- 10:48Speaker 8: really what I'm looking forward to coming out of the
- 10:50Speaker 8: bye week because guy's just getting healthy, Guy's getting back
- 10:53Speaker 8: on the field. Also another guy, Lonnie Johnson's safety, who
- 10:56Speaker 8: literally broke his leg in training camp and now seven
- 11:00Speaker 8: weeks into the season he's coming back, which is remarkable.
- 11:03Speaker 5: So I'm excited for that too.
- 11:04Speaker 8: He was a guy that was potentially in line to
- 11:06Speaker 8: be a starter coming into the season and now he's
- 11:08Speaker 8: back and hopefully he can get that spot back.
- 11:11Speaker 1: The Jaguars have a new offensive system here there. We've
- 11:14Speaker 1: seen the growing pains. I'm sure when you talk about
- 11:16Speaker 1: the growing pains as well, what are you hoping to
- 11:19Speaker 1: kind of see evolve as the season goes along. As
- 11:21Speaker 1: they're getting used to the new system.
- 11:24Speaker 5: Really, they just need to play faster.
- 11:26Speaker 8: I think everything just needs to look a lot faster
- 11:30Speaker 8: and a lot effortless.
- 11:31Speaker 5: I think guys are still out there thinking too much.
- 11:34Speaker 8: Whether it comes down to, you know, the right assignments
- 11:38Speaker 8: in terms of Ash of Gendi going through the right
- 11:40Speaker 8: reads you know when he's running the ball, or you know,
- 11:42Speaker 8: the blocking coming together and making sure that they're all
- 11:44Speaker 8: collectively doing what they got to do to make sure
- 11:47Speaker 8: that the pass blocking, you know, is syncd up with
- 11:51Speaker 8: Gino Smith and then the run blocking is synced up
- 11:53Speaker 8: with Ash and Raheem. I think there's a lot of
- 11:55Speaker 8: things like that that.
- 11:56Speaker 5: Just need to be cleaned up moving forward.
- 11:59Speaker 8: And it's still a lot of time left in this season,
- 12:02Speaker 8: so I'm looking forward to it. But it's gonna be
- 12:05Speaker 8: difficult against the Jags defense this week that I feel
- 12:08Speaker 8: is pretty impressive. Devin Lloyd, who's a Defensive Player of
- 12:11Speaker 8: the Year candidate right now. Strong defensive line with Josh
- 12:14Speaker 8: Allen and Eric Armstead and treymon Walker.
- 12:17Speaker 5: I really like those guys up front.
- 12:18Speaker 8: That front seven for the Jaguars are tough, so they're
- 12:21Speaker 8: really going to have to all be on the same
- 12:22Speaker 8: accord going into this game, or they can make life
- 12:25Speaker 8: really difficult for Geno and Ashen.
- 12:28Speaker 1: What have you seen from the defense so far? Obviously
- 12:29Speaker 1: Max Crosby is always a name that people key in on,
- 12:32Speaker 1: whether it's you know, rushing the passer or stopping the run.
- 12:35Speaker 1: But what have you seen from the defense so far
- 12:37Speaker 1: this season?
- 12:39Speaker 8: I think the defense has played fairly well in some parts.
- 12:44Speaker 8: I think that they've been kind of screwed over a
- 12:46Speaker 8: little bit with really bad field position at times. I
- 12:49Speaker 8: think offensively, you know, when you have so many turnovers,
- 12:52Speaker 8: you get on the field and you're just kind of
- 12:54Speaker 8: like straggling along, you know, in your territory or special teams,
- 12:58Speaker 8: whether a block punt or a bad field you know,
- 13:02Speaker 8: whether you allow a really big kicker punt return, that
- 13:05Speaker 8: can also factor in. So I think the defense have
- 13:08Speaker 8: been kind of like a ben but don't break unit
- 13:10Speaker 8: where they are still trying to figure out like, Okay, well,
- 13:14Speaker 8: you know we're putting these bad situations on the field,
- 13:17Speaker 8: but we still got to come out and we got
- 13:18Speaker 8: to do our job and limit it from.
- 13:19Speaker 5: The three or zero points at all.
- 13:22Speaker 8: I think there's only been a couple of times this
- 13:25Speaker 8: season the Colts and the Chiefs game that we saw
- 13:29Speaker 8: where the defense just did not come to show up.
- 13:31Speaker 5: They just did not play good football.
- 13:33Speaker 8: But I think every other game this year you could
- 13:35Speaker 8: point to young guys stepping up and really playing good ball. Obviously,
- 13:38Speaker 8: Max Crosby's doing his thing and he's going to continue
- 13:41Speaker 8: doing this thing.
- 13:41Speaker 5: He's Max Crosby.
- 13:42Speaker 8: But you see some other guys like Eric Stokes, Devin White,
- 13:46Speaker 8: Jonah Lalu, who's tied with Max for the team leading sacks.
- 13:50Speaker 8: You see some guys like that really stepping up and
- 13:52Speaker 8: doing some cool things. So I think the defense for
- 13:55Speaker 8: the most part, has played as well as they can
- 13:58Speaker 8: considering the circumstances put in.
- 14:01Speaker 1: All right, if you could give us one or two
- 14:02Speaker 1: X factors, who are two names that you kind of
- 14:04Speaker 1: have your eye on if the Raiders want to get
- 14:06Speaker 1: a win this weekend.
- 14:09Speaker 5: Well it has to start off with Geno Smith.
- 14:12Speaker 8: Obviously, Geno Smith is the head of the Snake and
- 14:15Speaker 8: he's a guy that is uncharacteristically not playing up to
- 14:19Speaker 8: the standard of what we know he can play at
- 14:21Speaker 8: what we saw in Seattle. And there's a lot of
- 14:25Speaker 8: factors behind it, you know, with the offensive line and
- 14:28Speaker 8: having young receivers who you know are not as experienced
- 14:31Speaker 8: as you're used to. But I think Geno Smith, if
- 14:33Speaker 8: he can come out and he can play the game
- 14:35Speaker 8: that he needs to play, then I feel like everything
- 14:39Speaker 8: else will take care of itself, especially with Broad coming
- 14:41Speaker 8: back and another guy on defense that I would name
- 14:43Speaker 8: as an X factor's a guy like Eric Stokes at corner,
- 14:47Speaker 8: because now you have to play lockdown on.
- 14:50Speaker 5: Brian Thomas Junior.
- 14:51Speaker 8: And I know Brian Thomas Junior hasn't been having the
- 14:53Speaker 8: most exceptional season compared to what we saw him do
- 14:56Speaker 8: his rookie year when he tore up Allegian had a great,
- 14:59Speaker 8: you know, rookie of the Rookie of the Year.
- 15:01Speaker 5: Finalist type of season.
- 15:04Speaker 8: But he's still a good receiver, and Eric Stokes is
- 15:07Speaker 8: going to have to make sure that he does his
- 15:08Speaker 8: job and really lock that down. Especially now on the
- 15:11Speaker 8: opposite side you have Travis Hunter, and so now it's
- 15:14Speaker 8: one of those things you just can't game plan for
- 15:16Speaker 8: this one receiver as much as you'd like because you
- 15:19Speaker 8: have another young boy on the other side that's going
- 15:21Speaker 8: to do his thing too, and Kye Blue Kelly is
- 15:23Speaker 8: gonna have to worry about that on the other side, So,
- 15:26Speaker 8: I think Eric Stokes has been playing really good football.
- 15:28Speaker 8: If you look at what he's been doing statistically, he's
- 15:30Speaker 8: been having a great season. And Brian Thomas Jr. Is
- 15:33Speaker 8: going to be another great challenge for him going into
- 15:35Speaker 8: this game. So I think those two guys are going
- 15:37Speaker 8: to be ex factors for us.
- 15:38Speaker 1: A lot of good stuff. Leeb I, thank you so much,
- 15:40Speaker 1: look forward to see you on Sunday.
- 15:42Speaker 5: Thank you. I appreciate it.
- 15:44Speaker 1: That was our behind enemy Line segment. We leave by
- 15:46Speaker 1: Edwards from Raiders dot Com. Stay with us here on Jagzam.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Coming up after the break, we will tell you what
- 15:50Speaker 1: our predictions for the headlines are going to be on Monday.
- 15:56Speaker 1: That is Moving and Steward as for his most trusted
- 15:58Speaker 1: and dependable moving companies, it's proud to be the efficient
- 16:01Speaker 1: moving company of the Jacksonville Jaguars. To get a guarantee quote,
- 16:03Speaker 1: visit sunneth dot com slash Jacksonville. Looking back into jag Dam,
- 16:10Speaker 1: We're going to do our best to predict the future
- 16:12Speaker 1: as we do on Thursdays. We're going to try to
- 16:13Speaker 1: figure out what the headlines will be on Monday morning.
- 16:16Speaker 1: After this game in Vegas on Sunday. Brian, what do
- 16:19Speaker 1: you think the outcome will be?
- 16:20Speaker 4: I'm going wild out West because you've got two teams
- 16:23Speaker 4: that are coming off four touchdown losses and the bye
- 16:27Speaker 4: week with first year head coaches. Pete Carroll obviously has
- 16:30Speaker 4: a long history, and we're just seeing the beginnings of
- 16:32Speaker 4: the Liam Cohen program here. I expect both teams to
- 16:36Speaker 4: have worked very hard to work on their deficiencies, Like
- 16:40Speaker 4: Liam alluded to earlier in the show. I think the
- 16:43Speaker 4: Jaguars will run the ball. I expect to see Travis
- 16:46Speaker 4: Hunter involved in a big way, and I think the
- 16:50Speaker 4: Jaguars win a close one, something like thirty one twenty eight.
- 16:54Speaker 4: I mean you'd like to think, Wow, they're two and
- 16:57Speaker 4: five and you're not playing all that well.
- 16:58Speaker 5: Hey, neither're the Jaguars.
- 16:59Speaker 4: So I think it's going to be a shootout, and
- 17:01Speaker 4: I expect the Draguars to find a way to win.
- 17:04Speaker 6: Yeah, I think it's gonna be close.
- 17:06Speaker 7: I think it's gonna be a little lower scoring than
- 17:07Speaker 7: that because the Jaguars haven't showed that they can get
- 17:09Speaker 7: to thirty. Uh so let's hope that they can. I
- 17:13Speaker 7: went with Viva Viva the run, and I wish that
- 17:20Speaker 7: I had gone with Viva the takeaway, but I wanted
- 17:23Speaker 7: to use Travis Atn as the picture, so I couldn't
- 17:25Speaker 7: go to takeaway because they're not gonna eat takeaways unless
- 17:27Speaker 7: something weird happened. No, I'm I'm talking about it a
- 17:32Speaker 7: lot more than I thought about it, thought a dozen exactly.
- 17:37Speaker 7: But they need takeaways and they need to run. Think
- 17:42Speaker 7: about the formula they had and how they checked every
- 17:45Speaker 7: box against Carolina in Week one coming out of the bye.
- 17:48Speaker 7: To me, they need another box check game where they
- 17:51Speaker 7: get what you know.
- 17:51Speaker 6: They need to be more physical.
- 17:53Speaker 7: They need to take the ball away, and I think
- 17:55Speaker 7: being more physical will get us to Viva a run.
- 17:59Speaker 6: Viva a run.
- 18:00Speaker 1: All right, here's my final. Las Vegas pun play their
- 18:03Speaker 1: cards right here we go.
- 18:05Speaker 6: Yeah, see cards.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I will not be anywhere near casino, So.
- 18:09Speaker 6: So say I stayed away from the game leads topic.
- 18:10Speaker 9: This way, Environ.
- 18:11Speaker 6: We already got the speeches.
- 18:12Speaker 1: We're not going anywhere near casino. I think the team
- 18:15Speaker 1: a lot of you know what they talked about self
- 18:16Speaker 1: inflicted blood. Right, If they go out there, they play
- 18:18Speaker 1: well on paper, they are a better team. They should
- 18:21Speaker 1: win this football game. There's a reason you play the games.
- 18:23Speaker 1: They go out there and they can limit their penalties,
- 18:26Speaker 1: like John said, get a takeaway, establish the run. They
- 18:29Speaker 1: should win this football game. Now we have to see
- 18:32Speaker 1: them do it. So if they can play their cards right,
- 18:34Speaker 1: I think they should definitely go out there, get a
- 18:36Speaker 1: win and start the second half of the season off.
- 18:37Speaker 6: Of the right foot.
- 18:38Speaker 5: Liam talked about it.
- 18:39Speaker 4: If you're going to do that, you better practice well, right.
- 18:42Speaker 4: You better have a really good day on the practice
- 18:43Speaker 4: field today and tomorrow. You better focus on those things
- 18:47Speaker 4: that they've talked about. But the practice field leads to
- 18:50Speaker 4: the playing field on Sunday, So hopefully he's getting what
- 18:53Speaker 4: he's asking from his players, which was the theme of
- 18:55Speaker 4: his press conference on Wednesday.
- 18:57Speaker 1: So an opportunity and hopefully it is a good one
- 18:59Speaker 1: that they take advantage of.
- 19:01Speaker 6: So stay with us here.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Coming back after break, we'll tell you what's going on
- 19:04Speaker 1: the rest of the week. Exam brought to by mister
- 19:13Speaker 1: Chubbies Here on your Jaguars as they traveled to Vegas.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Stick on the Raiders This Sunday, the official away game
- 19:18Speaker 1: watch party takes place at mister Chubby's West Side location.
- 19:23Speaker 1: This weekend and then also today's episode brought to you
- 19:25Speaker 1: by Field's Auto Groups, the Field first acting with Premier
- 19:28Speaker 1: Luxury Auto Group go to Fields Auto dot Com. So
- 19:32Speaker 1: it's a little bit different this week because it's Flora, Georgia.
- 19:35Speaker 1: So the team's gonna head out early on Saturday, very early,
- 19:38Speaker 1: and get to Las Vegas. And Liam Cohen was pretty
- 19:41Speaker 1: upfront about the schedule. When they get there, there will
- 19:43Speaker 1: be no trips to the casino, staying far away from that.
- 19:45Speaker 6: They're gonna do.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Walk through at a local high school and team meetings
- 19:48Speaker 1: all day. But Brian, as you mentioned, a lot of
- 19:50Speaker 1: the focus has to be on today's practice and kind
- 19:53Speaker 1: of Friday a little bit as well as just getting
- 19:55Speaker 1: on the same page.
- 19:55Speaker 4: Well, I do think that's the case, and I also
- 19:57Speaker 4: think that's Saturday. The advantage to going out there and
- 20:00Speaker 4: getting a walk through out there is a little more
- 20:03Speaker 4: acclimatization and a little bit more focus on those things
- 20:07Speaker 4: that we've all talked about this week, and you know,
- 20:12Speaker 4: running the ball and knowing where Max Crosby is, I mean,
- 20:15Speaker 4: all of them. It gives you one more opportunity as
- 20:17Speaker 4: opposed to practicing here, getting on the plane, losing your distraction.
- 20:20Speaker 4: I think it's a perfect week for.
- 20:22Speaker 5: Them to go early.
- 20:23Speaker 7: Yeah, you hope, And I don't know why they wouldn't
- 20:28Speaker 7: field real urgency. This is you know, there's a big
- 20:31Speaker 7: difference in this league between five and three and.
- 20:33Speaker 6: Four and four.
- 20:33Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, in other sports, not a big deal.
- 20:36Speaker 7: Seventeen games get to five and three. It's me a
- 20:39Speaker 7: huge difference coming back five and three and.
- 20:41Speaker 6: Four and four. This is a big one.
- 20:42Speaker 4: I also think this is a game where you prove
- 20:44Speaker 4: to everybody not the same old Jacks, right. I've heard
- 20:47Speaker 4: that the last two weeks since the loss in London
- 20:49Speaker 4: and how it seemed like it was the same old Jacks,
- 20:51Speaker 4: and those of us who are around here and understand
- 20:53Speaker 4: what Tony Boselli and James Gladstone and Liam Cohen have done,
- 20:56Speaker 4: understand that it's a different program entirely. This would seem
- 20:59Speaker 4: to be a game where you could prove that to
- 21:00Speaker 4: people by going and winning a game that most people
- 21:03Speaker 4: think you should win but won't be an easy game
- 21:05Speaker 4: at all.
- 21:06Speaker 5: So I think that this is bigger than just that.
- 21:08Speaker 4: I think this is about winning, and it's about the
- 21:11Speaker 4: effect of the win being confidence.
- 21:13Speaker 5: In your fan base.
- 21:14Speaker 1: A huge opportunity to instill some confidence in the fan base. Also,
- 21:17Speaker 1: if you want to make a playoff push, you bet
- 21:19Speaker 1: you definitely need this win. So we will be out
- 21:22Speaker 1: in Vegas for the game. Of course, we'll have your
- 21:23Speaker 1: post game coverage on Jaguars dot com Jaguars YouTube. Will
- 21:26Speaker 1: be back here in jag XAM on Tuesday to enjoy
- 21:28Speaker 1: the game.
- 21:28Speaker 6: Enjoy your weekend.
