- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, call 104 right now. You get Disney tickets.
- 0:02Speaker 1: You got to know three of the magic words. Call
- 0:04Speaker 1: us at 877-937-1047. In the meantime, good morning, Maria. About
- 0:12Speaker 1: an hour and a half ago, we were talking about
- 0:14Speaker 1: annoying neighbors. You got an annoying neighbor story?
- 0:16Speaker 2: First of all, good morning. How are you guys doing?
- 0:20Speaker 3: Good.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Good.
- 0:22Speaker 4: Yes.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Yes. I didn't even think this was possible until I
- 0:26Speaker 2: heard Kyle's story. We are actually going through the same scenario.
- 0:31Speaker 2: So we bought a house just a little over a
- 0:33Speaker 2: year ago. And of course, brand new black, the backyard
- 0:36Speaker 2: is empty. So before we bought the house, we actually
- 0:39Speaker 2: went to the HOA and let them know everything we
- 0:42Speaker 2: wanted to do. Great. Once we got it all approved,
- 0:46Speaker 2: we submitted it, and our neighbor to the next door
- 0:49Speaker 2: of us, he said, oh, come look at my pool.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Come look at my backyard. Here's some ideas. Very, very
- 0:54Speaker 2: friendly to begin with. Once construction started, oh, kept complimenting, oh,
- 1:00Speaker 2: it looks nice. Gosh, that looks great. Meanwhile, people are
- 1:03Speaker 2: coming up and saying, hey, did you get it permitted? Hey,
- 1:06Speaker 2: did you get it permitted? And we're like, why is
- 1:08Speaker 2: everybody asking? We did. Everything's permitted. Everything has gone through.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Come to find out, he has been complaining about everything
- 1:17Speaker 2: we did, about our pool, about our outdoor kitchen, about
- 1:21Speaker 2: our shop we built, and he's even threatening to sue
- 1:24Speaker 2: the HOA.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh. That's such a pain.
- 1:28Speaker 5: That is a pain, Maria.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Yes, and he actually did plant some flowers because he's like,
- 1:34Speaker 2: I can look into your kitchen window, and I'm like, oh,
- 1:37Speaker 2: my God, how rude. So he planted flowers and stuff
- 1:41Speaker 2: all along, and now all of his flowers are are
- 1:44Speaker 2: coming into our yard and getting in the pool. I'm like, oh,
- 1:46Speaker 2: my God.
- 1:47Speaker 6: This is ridiculous.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Well, Maria, thank you for calling in. Thank you for listening.
- 1:52Speaker 2: You guys have a great day.
- 1:53Speaker 5: You too. Hey, what number are we at? Looking for
- 1:55Speaker 5: caller 104. Where are we at?
- 1:59Speaker 1: We're at caller 66.
- 2:01Speaker 5: Okay. Chris, good morning. You've got an annoying neighbor story?
- 2:06Speaker 4: I do, yeah.
- 2:07Speaker 6: I actually have two stories. One involves their pool and
- 2:10Speaker 6: another is their tree.
- 2:11Speaker 5: So what would you guys prefer? The better one. Yeah.
- 2:15Speaker 4: The better one.
- 2:16Speaker 6: Oh, they're both equally good. I'll go with the pool. So,
- 2:19Speaker 6: you know, I've been in my home now for about
- 2:22Speaker 6: 10 years and I try to be patient with my neighbors.
- 2:25Speaker 6: I typically help out when I can, especially like with
- 2:27Speaker 6: the yard and just trying to, at one point they
- 2:30Speaker 6: were going through some struggles. So, you know, I did
- 2:32Speaker 6: my best to be a good neighbor like anybody would.
- 2:34Speaker 6: And I've realized that they don't reciprocate. So their pool
- 2:39Speaker 6: typically is poorly maintained and I don't know, I don't
- 2:42Speaker 6: own a pool, but people that I do are pretty
- 2:46Speaker 6: adamant that they maintain like the corn content and just
- 2:48Speaker 6: try to avoid getting algae and things like that within
- 2:50Speaker 6: their pool. Well, my neighbor doesn't seem to really mind
- 2:54Speaker 6: to do that too much. So when they, uh, see
- 2:57Speaker 6: that their pool is becoming too like algae infested or gross,
- 3:00Speaker 6: they drain it. But the way they drain it is
- 3:03Speaker 6: they just, uh, turn their pool pump onto reverse. So
- 3:07Speaker 6: instead of actually like using a pool, um, like a
- 3:11Speaker 6: secondary pump to remove the water, they use a pool
- 3:13Speaker 6: pump because it's just easier for them, I guess, than
- 3:16Speaker 6: renting one or they don't own one, but they just
- 3:18Speaker 6: drain it directly into the side of their house. So
- 3:20Speaker 6: then it leaches underneath, uh, the fence into my yard.
- 3:25Speaker 6: So since they've been doing that, uh, two of my
- 3:28Speaker 6: walls have started to settle and you can see that
- 3:30Speaker 6: in like a stucco finish.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Backwash.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 6: Yeah, because they're just backwashing it directly into the side yard.
- 3:37Speaker 6: So I've had some settlement issues for a shed that
- 3:40Speaker 6: I have on that side of the house and the
- 3:43Speaker 6: fence of mine that faces the front of the property
- 3:45Speaker 6: that has stucco. When they would drain their pool to
- 3:49Speaker 6: the street, their pool is so algae infested that now
- 3:53Speaker 6: every time it rains, there's residue of algae everywhere.
- 3:57Speaker 5: Chris, let me rephrase that. I need you to tell
- 3:59Speaker 5: me the shorter story, not the better story.
- 4:01Speaker 4: They got themselves a pond is what they got.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I don't need to know the intricacies of how the
- 4:08Speaker 1: pool works.
- 4:08Speaker 4: We aren't the HOA. For God's sake, Chris. Okay.
- 4:12Speaker 5: So are they doing.
- 4:13Speaker 6: Anything about it? Absolutely not, no.
- 4:17Speaker 5: Okay.
- 4:17Speaker 6: All right.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Then you need to call the HOA.
- 4:19Speaker 4: All right, brother.
- 4:20Speaker 5: Thank you. What number are we at now?
- 4:22Speaker 4: We've got to be at 300 now.
- 4:26Speaker 5: You guys are the worst.
- 4:27Speaker 4: You're the worst.
- 4:30Speaker 6: Oh, 99.
- 4:30Speaker 1: You're caller 100.
- 4:30Speaker 3: That's why we're not members of our HOA. We don't want.
- 4:35Speaker 5: To hear that.
- 4:37Speaker 3: You're caller 102. Oh.
- 4:38Speaker 5: You're caller 103.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Caller 104 is on line four.
- 4:45Speaker 5: My stomach hurt. That was funny.
- 4:50Speaker 1: He's such a nice guy. This is a really nice guy.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It was such a long story.
- 4:54Speaker 3: You know, my wife told me, she's like, you're really
- 4:56Speaker 3: nice until you guys start doing butt slams. She's like,
- 4:58Speaker 3: then the mean bridge bearer comes out.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Oh my God.
- 5:01Speaker 5: What'd she say? Color four?
- 5:03Speaker 1: 104?
- 5:03Speaker 4: 104 is on 14 or four. Oh, exciting.
- 5:06Speaker 1: All right. So by the way, here's how this works.
- 5:09Speaker 1: If you are not color 104, do not worry. But
- 5:13Speaker 1: in exactly two hours, we're going to start giving out
- 5:15Speaker 1: magic words again. You got to write them down, memorize them,
- 5:17Speaker 1: and then we'll ask you for them tomorrow at eight. Oh,
- 5:19Speaker 1: let's see who this is.
- 5:22Speaker 5: Good morning, John Jane Rich. Who's this? Hello. Hello.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Hi.
- 5:29Speaker 5: Hello. Hello. Who's this?
- 5:32Speaker 2: This is Angela.
- 5:34Speaker 5: Angela, you're caller 104.
- 5:36Speaker 6: No, I'm not.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Yeah, Angela.
- 5:39Speaker 6: Are you kidding?
- 5:40Speaker 5: No.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?
- 5:42Speaker 5: No, no.
- 5:43Speaker 4: We would never lie to you, Angela.
- 5:45Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I listen to you guys all the time, and now
- 5:48Speaker 2: I'm talking to you on the phone.
- 5:49Speaker 5: Well, thank you. What part of town are you in?
- 5:52Speaker 4: I'm in Glendale.
- 5:53Speaker 5: When was the last time you went to Disneyland?
- 5:57Speaker 4: When I was a child.
- 5:59Speaker 1: That is fantastic. Okay, well, so far, you've made it
- 6:02Speaker 1: through step one. Now, step two is we need... Three
- 6:07Speaker 1: of yesterday's magic words. Three of the ten. If you
- 6:10Speaker 1: get those right, you get tickets to Disneyland.
- 6:14Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Okay.
- 6:18Speaker 5: Ready. I'm ready. What do you got? Give us one.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Okay.
- 6:23Speaker 3: One.
- 6:24Speaker 6: Fantasy.
- 6:25Speaker 5: Boom. Give us another one.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Boom. Joyful.
- 6:30Speaker 2: All right.
- 6:31Speaker 5: One more and you're going.
- 6:34Speaker 6: Pixie. Ah!
- 6:35Speaker 2: Yeah!
- 6:37Speaker 3: That's the winner!
- 6:41Speaker 6: Wow.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Wow.
- 6:42Speaker 3: You did it!
- 6:44Speaker 6: This is crazy.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Angela, you're going to Disneyland! She sounds like she's in shock.
- 6:50Speaker 2: I am in shock.
- 6:51Speaker 6: Look, I never get through.
- 6:52Speaker 5: This is.
- 6:54Speaker 5: I gotta breathe.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Yeah!
- 6:59Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 7:02Speaker 5: Well, you just won.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Thank you guys so much. I can't believe I got through.
- 7:06Speaker 1: You won four two-day, one park-per-day passes, and you qualify
- 7:09Speaker 1: for the grand prize, a Disney vacation, which is four three-day,
- 7:14Speaker 1: one park-per-day passes, and a hotel at the Disneyland Resort.
- 7:17Speaker 5: Angela.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Oh, I would love that.
- 7:21Speaker 6: It has been so long since I've been there.
- 7:22Speaker 5: And it's the best. It is the most wonderful place
- 7:25Speaker 5: in the world.
- 7:25Speaker 4: But they've made some changes since you were there, too.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Probably some new rides. Probably.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Wow.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Angela, hold on. Let me get your information, okay?
- 7:38Speaker 1: Hold on.
- 7:39Speaker 6: Okay.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Thank you guys so much.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Thank you for listening. Rich, kill him with the Disney jokes.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Another magic word's coming up.
- 7:46Speaker 5: 10.05. And then 11.05, 12.05. We're going to do it
- 7:49Speaker 5: every day. Like I said, we've got a lot going
- 7:51Speaker 5: on this morning, man. Disney, Harry Styles. We've still got Kanye,
- 7:54Speaker 5: Chance the Rapper. Harry Styles. Lots going on. Oh, man.
- 8:00Speaker 5: What a morn, huh?
- 8:01Speaker 4: What a morn. Just getting started.
- 8:02Speaker 3: What a morn.
- 8:03Speaker 4: Are we?
- 8:03Speaker 5: Because there's like two hours left of the show. I
- 8:05Speaker 5: would think most of the show is gone. We're like halfway.
- 8:06Speaker 5: We're like in the top. Yeah, we're way more than
- 8:08Speaker 5: just getting started, Rich. Unless you plan on staying until
- 8:10Speaker 5: noon or.
- 8:10Speaker 4: One or something like that. I'll hang out. What do
- 8:13Speaker 4: I got going on?
- 8:14Speaker 5: We're kind of winding down.
- 8:14Speaker 4: I can't walk anywhere. But I'll be here.
