  Speaker 1: New International version, and it reads, dear child, let us

  Speaker 1: not love with words or speech, but with action and

  Speaker 1: in truth. The King James version says, my little children,

  Speaker 1: let us not love in words, neither in tongues, but
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: indeed and in truth. The English Standard version says, little children,
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: let us not love in words or talk, but indeed
• 4:36
  Speaker 1: and in truth. And the New Living Translation says, dear children,
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: let's not merely say that we love each other. Let
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: us show the truth by our actions. And this verse
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: simply encourages the believer to express love not just in
• 4:52
  Speaker 1: what they say, but through their actions and sincerity. True

  Speaker 1: Christians love, True Christian love is demonstrated through what we

  Speaker 1: I want you to speak this word of affirmation over

  Speaker 1: focus is a transformative truth.

  Speaker 2: Love is much more than just words.

  Speaker 1: It is fully realize that it is truly realized in

  Speaker 1: our action and in the world full of empty promises

  Speaker 1: and fleeting affection. Jesus caused us to love in a

  Speaker 1: way that makes tangible That makes a tangible difference. Let's
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: explore how we can move from saying I love you
• 6:19
  Speaker 1: to showing I love you in every single day. So

  Speaker 1: the backstory on one John three and eighteen, John knows

  Speaker 1: as the Apostle. John is known as Apostle Love writes.

  Speaker 1: He writes these words to the early church, wrastling with

  Speaker 1: how to live out their faith in practical terms. He

  Speaker 1: knew that love isn't just a sentiment. In a time

  Speaker 1: when the world was mostly hostile to Christians, he urged

  Speaker 1: believers not to simply talk about love, but to live it,

  Speaker 1: meeting practical needs and showing kindness and serving sacrificially. Y'ad,

  Speaker 1: that's something that we should be doing today. We see

  Speaker 1: so many times that there is so much hatred, so

  Speaker 1: much division, so many things that definitely does not go

  Speaker 1: go along with the will of God, but goes against

  Speaker 1: the word of God. There's a powerful lesson from one

  Speaker 1: John three and eighteen. It is easy to say that

  Speaker 1: I love you, but the genuine love is proven.

  Speaker 2: By what we do. That's our action.

  Speaker 1: Jesus was not content, but he was given motivational he

  Speaker 1: always he was given. He was given motivational talks. He

  Speaker 1: demonstrated his love and every step from feeding the hungry

  Speaker 1: and Mark six thirty four and forty four to Washington

  Speaker 1: Disciples feet and John thirteen, twelve and fifteen to land

  Speaker 1: down his life for us all y'all. He laid down
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: his life for all of us so that we may
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: have the right to eternal life.

  Speaker 2: He laid it down for you. Ni. The world sees

  Speaker 2: faith most clearly, not when we preach, but when we practice.

  Speaker 1: media streets, and when I'm out here in these streets

  Speaker 1: showing love, when I'm out here feeding the homeless, when

  Speaker 1: I'm out here doing the things that some of you

  Speaker 1: may not see me do. It is those things that
• 8:20
  Speaker 1: shows love. It's those those things of action that shows love.

  Speaker 1: John James underscores this truth. If you go over to

  Speaker 1: James two and fifteen and sixteen and say, suppose a
• 8:32
  Speaker 1: brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If
• 8:36
  Speaker 1: one of you says to them, go in peace, keep warm,
• 8:39
  Speaker 1: and what and we're fed and well fed? But does
• 8:43
  Speaker 1: nothing about the physical need? What good is it? What
• 8:47
  Speaker 1: good to say that I'm gonna pray for you? But
• 8:49
  Speaker 1: you see someone in need and you do you do nothing.

  Speaker 1: We're supposed to act. If we see a need, we're
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: supposed to meet that need, if we have the means
• 8:57
  Speaker 1: to meet that need. And if we don't have the
• 8:59
  Speaker 1: means and meet that need, then we should be trying

  Speaker 1: to find ways to meet that need, y'all in our action.

  Speaker 1: It don't when some of us our actions don't match

  Speaker 1: our words. And when your action don't match your word,

  Speaker 1: that means that you is hillow. Your love is high loow,

  Speaker 1: real love inner messy situation. They roll up their sleeves

  Speaker 1: and they get involved. When you see something wrong, when

  Speaker 1: you see there's a need out there in these in

  Speaker 1: these streets, when you see those sleeping up under the

  Speaker 1: bridge in the tents, you get out there and you

  Speaker 1: help you get out there, You fee you get out there,

  Speaker 1: and you provide a blanket, You provide something that can

  Speaker 1: help them to transition. Y'all were gonna dive a little deep,

  Speaker 1: and I'm gonna give you three things that you should

  Speaker 1: take away from this lesson, Three things that you can

  Speaker 1: ponder over your life. The first thing is authentic love.

  Speaker 1: The Man's more than words, it say. Let us not

  Speaker 1: love with words or speech, but with actions and in truth.

  Speaker 1: Look around you, see who may be in need, See

  Speaker 1: who is in need of something, and act upon that

  Speaker 1: and be genuine and your doing. Don't do it for

  Speaker 1: for likes, don't do it.

  Speaker 2: For views, don't do it so that you can be seen.

  Speaker 1: Because it is a commandment. It is something that he

  Speaker 1: has commanded us to do. He says love is out loud,

  Speaker 1: it's witness huh love. I'm gonna say that again for

  Speaker 1: or the person just coming in the room. It say,

  Speaker 1: love is all loud, it's weird. By this, everyone will

  Speaker 1: know that you are my disciple if you love one

  Speaker 1: And consider what do your actions say about your faith

  Speaker 1: to those watching? How can you show Christ love more boldly?

  Speaker 1: Ask yourself these questions. Ponder these questions throughout the day. Again,

  Speaker 1: about your faith to those watching you? Because believe it,

  Speaker 1: there are somebody watching you. That's somebody, somebody's trying to

  Speaker 1: the world. How can you show Christ love more boldly?

  Speaker 1: you allow it to come forth more that other people

  Speaker 1: asking for change or selling something, and we don't even

  Speaker 1: want to consider offering them something, y'all, he say, consider

  Speaker 1: consider these things. Consider how you can be compassionate. What

  Speaker 1: opportunities around you today that will allow you to be

  Speaker 1: an agent of God?

  Speaker 1: Sometimes somebody may just need to talk, somebody may just

  Speaker 1: a living extension of God's love and Jesus love. Remember

  Speaker 1: need it, but as regular as a regular way of life.

  Speaker 1: Make it something that you do daily. Encourage others deliberately

  Speaker 1: and often remind them that they matter. Celebrate their wins,

  Speaker 1: and stand with them when they lose. The steady stream

  Speaker 1: of support, plant seeds of hope and belonging. The Scripture
