Speaker 1: I think the most important thing is to continue the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: systematic destruction of the Iranian war making capabilities. So it'll
• 0:08
Speaker 1: continue them for some period of time. But I think
• 0:10
Speaker 1: we've got to stay the course here and now that
• 0:12
Speaker 1: we are engaging this and is he gonna achieve ours?
• 0:16
Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
• 0:20
Speaker 3: Good Wednesday morning. Nice to have you with us on
• 0:22
Speaker 3: the forty seven Morning Update, and we've got a big
• 0:24
Speaker 3: story for you. The world. Wall Street and even those
• 0:28
Speaker 3: around the White House are now reacting to the new
• 0:31
Speaker 3: news that President Trump is looking to wind down the
• 0:35
Speaker 3: war with Iran. He's trying to stay within the parameters
• 0:38
Speaker 3: of what he outlined, and that is making so many
• 0:42
Speaker 3: people very happy this morning. So what does a wind
• 0:46
Speaker 3: down look like? What does this mean for the strain
• 0:48
Speaker 3: of amus and what does it mean for the four
• 0:50
Speaker 3: to one K accounts that have been hit over the
• 0:52
Speaker 3: last few weeks and gas prices? We cover it all
• 0:57
Speaker 3: every day. Americans make choices that shape our country's future,
• 1:01
Speaker 3: right down to which cell phone provider we support. Here's

• 2:26
Speaker 3: the switch today. It's the forty seven Morning Update, and
• 2:30
Speaker 3: it starts right now.
• 2:31
  Speaker 2: Story number one.
• 2:33
Speaker 3: Over the last thirty days, the United States and Israel
• 2:36
Speaker 3: have carried out more than eleven thousand strikes against Iran
• 2:39
Speaker 3: military infrastructure. We're now learning from the White House translation,
• 2:44
Speaker 3: this mission the President is doing is working. The strikes
• 2:48
Speaker 3: have been against Iran's military infrastructure that include missile systems,
• 2:54
Speaker 3: naval assets, weapons depots, and systemically dismantling the regimes a
• 2:59
Speaker 3: bill to threaten the region and more importantly, threaten US.
• 3:03
Speaker 3: The US and now President Trump is signaling very clearly
• 3:08
Speaker 3: that this war is nearing its end. He said this directly,
• 3:13
Speaker 3: this won't last much longer. Why because Iran has been,
• 3:17
Speaker 3: in his words, significantly debilitated. Their military capability has been crippled,
• 3:24
Speaker 3: their ability to launch sustained attacks has been severely reduced,
• 3:28
Speaker 3: their leverage gone. And now because of the overwhelming show
• 3:32
Speaker 3: of force, something else is happening behind the scenes that
• 3:36
Speaker 3: matters just as much as the bombs and the strikes.
• 3:39
Speaker 3: Iran is really feeling the pressure. The White House is
• 3:43
Speaker 3: now saying negotiations are progressing quickly. That is something that
• 3:48
Speaker 3: the White House has said that the media can't believe,
• 3:51
Speaker 3: and Democrats don't want you to believe because they want
• 3:55
Speaker 3: this to be a quagmire. They want this to be
• 3:57
Speaker 3: a never ending war. They want to use it to
• 4:00
Speaker 3: hurt President Donald Trump. Now, after weeks of decisive military action,
• 4:05
Speaker 3: the regime, the chance death to America is now signaling
• 4:09
Speaker 3: they may be willing to come to the table. That
• 4:11
Speaker 3: doesn't happen, by the way, by accident, and it doesn't
• 4:14
Speaker 3: happen by weakness from President Trump either. This happens because
• 4:18
Speaker 3: Donald Trump made it clear the United States while he's
• 4:21
Speaker 3: in charge, leads through strength, not through appeasement or sending
• 4:25
Speaker 3: pallets of cash like the Obama administration did. And President
• 4:30
Speaker 3: Trump is also making it clear there is a deadline.
• 4:34
Speaker 3: Iran now has until early April to comply, and if
• 4:38
Speaker 3: they don't, the presidents also made it very clear what
• 4:41
Speaker 3: comes next will be even more devastating. Now, let's talk
• 4:45
Speaker 3: about the strategy a little bit more, because this is
• 4:48
Speaker 3: where this administration is drawing a very sharp contrast to
• 4:51
Speaker 3: the past. Number One, they've said they are not in
• 4:54
Speaker 3: favor of an endless war. And number two, the Trump
• 4:58
Speaker 3: administration has made it clear this is not nation building,
• 5:02
Speaker 3: this is decisive action, the White House says, with a
• 5:04
Speaker 3: clear objective to eliminate the threat, force a resolution, and
• 5:09
Speaker 3: then get the hell out. In fact, President Trump is
• 5:12
Speaker 3: already saying that once the job is done, the US
• 5:15
Speaker 3: can step back, and even the straight of Hormuz, one
• 5:18
Speaker 3: of the most critical shipping lanes in the world, will
• 5:20
Speaker 3: stabilize once Iran backs down. That's called understanding leverage, and
• 5:25
Speaker 3: that's called understanding power as well. Now let's also not
• 5:29
Speaker 3: forget this. Israel is fully aligned with a strategy. They
• 5:33
Speaker 3: see this moment for what it is a historic opportunity
• 5:37
Speaker 3: to eliminate what they've called next essential threat to them,
• 5:40
Speaker 3: and together the US and Israel now have total air superiority,
• 5:45
Speaker 3: and Iran's ability to project power is collapsing in real time.
• 5:49
Speaker 3: Even Israel is starting to put timelines on their own action,
• 5:54
Speaker 3: saying they believe that they have about two more weeks
• 5:56
Speaker 3: of strikes and then they will probably end up wrapping
• 6:01
Speaker 3: things up. Israel even said in another statement today they
• 6:05
Speaker 3: are prepared for strikes for several weeks to come, but
• 6:09
Speaker 3: they understand that the window is also closing, and this
• 6:12
Speaker 3: was not about actual invasion. Israeli's military spokesman saying on
• 6:17
Speaker 3: Tuesday that Israel is prepared to keep operating for several
• 6:21
Speaker 3: weeks to come. The Prime Minister hinted that the war
• 6:24
Speaker 3: against Iran was definitely beyond the halfway point, as it
• 6:28
Speaker 3: has now entered its fifth week. We are prepared to
• 6:31
Speaker 3: keep operating for weeks to come if need be. We
• 6:34
Speaker 3: have the targets for that, the munitions for that, demand
• 6:36
Speaker 3: power for that, and it's up to the leadership to decide,
• 6:40
Speaker 3: is what was said from Israeli's government. The Israeli Defense
• 6:44
Speaker 3: Force said on Tuesday that all of it's critical and
• 6:47
Speaker 3: essential targets in Iran will have been destroyed by Passover,
• 6:51
Speaker 3: which begins on Wednesday. The IDF to find critical targets
• 6:56
Speaker 3: as Iranian weapons that directly threaten Israel, including key elements
• 7:01
Speaker 3: of its nuclear program, while essential quote unquote targets are
• 7:05
Speaker 3: key elements of the Iranian military industrial complex that do
• 7:10
Speaker 3: not pose an imminent threat by themselves, such as satellite
• 7:13
Speaker 3: launch facilities. So you add all this together, and critical
• 7:18
Speaker 3: and essential targets make up about thirty to forty percent
• 7:21
Speaker 3: of the bombing objectives set by Israeli leadership before the
• 7:25
Speaker 3: operation began. The IDF said it would be possible to
• 7:30
Speaker 3: declare victory after eliminating the remaining critical and essential targets,
• 7:34
Speaker 3: but it would prefer to continue degrading Iran's military industrial
• 7:38
Speaker 3: complex to weaken the regime. This goal seems consistent with
• 7:43
Speaker 3: Israel's hint that a few more weeks of airstrikes are
• 7:46
Speaker 3: obviously being planned. Israeli warplaying struck major Iranian weapons factories
• 7:52
Speaker 3: in Tehran over the weekend, including plants that manufacture key
• 7:56
Speaker 3: ballistic missile components and drone engines. As well. The IDF
• 8:01
Speaker 3: said it was also able to destroy several of Iran's
• 8:05
Speaker 3: temporary command centers, eliminating high ranking officers who were inside,
• 8:10
Speaker 3: as well as some of Iran's remaining anti air weaponry.
• 8:14
Speaker 3: On Friday, the IDF set a massive attack involving over
• 8:17
Speaker 3: fifty warplanes, inflicted severe damage on their heavy water reactor
• 8:22
Speaker 3: and an uranium enrichment facility that produced yellow cake uranium
• 8:26
Speaker 3: powder for nuclear fuel. Netnyahu even set on Newsmax on
• 8:31
Speaker 3: Monday that the operation in Iran is beyond the halfway
• 8:35
Speaker 3: point in terms of mission success, although he did not
• 8:38
Speaker 3: say or wished to put a schedule on the remainder
• 8:42
Speaker 3: of the war. We've already degraded their missile capabilities, destroyed factories,
• 8:46
Speaker 3: and eliminated key nuclear scientists, he noted, praising the steady
• 8:50
Speaker 3: progress of the mission so far.
• 8:54
Speaker 4: We're into this war just over a month now. You're
• 8:57
Speaker 4: the war Prime Minister, and I think i'd like to
• 9:02
Speaker 4: understand what you feel you've achieved Israel and the United
• 9:05
Speaker 4: States working together so far in this war. And when
• 9:09
Speaker 4: do you think we might see light at the end
• 9:12
Speaker 4: of the tunnel mission accomplished.
• 9:15
Speaker 5: Look, if you remember what happened before the war, Iran
• 9:17
Speaker 5: was the great bully of the Middle East and the world.
• 9:19
Speaker 5: It was the prime sponsor of state terrorism across many continents,
• 9:26
Speaker 5: including in the Western Hemisphere, including by the way, with
• 9:29
Speaker 5: Venezuela and with others. And they killed and named more
• 9:34
Speaker 5: Americans than any other force in recent decades. Thousands and
• 9:37
Speaker 5: thousands killed and maimed in Afghanistan by Iranian IED's. They
• 9:42
Speaker 5: bombed your embassies. They tried to kill President Trump twice,
• 9:45
Speaker 5: and so trying to kill them. Most importantly is they
• 9:49
Speaker 5: chant death to America. They also say death to Israel,
• 9:53
Speaker 5: but they say America is the great Satan. They're religious zealots,
• 9:58
Speaker 5: and they have to wipe out Western culture led by America,
• 10:02
Speaker 5: and Israel is considered the little Satan because we're just
• 10:05
Speaker 5: standing in their way of conquering the Middle East, which
• 10:08
Speaker 5: is their preliminary step of getting to America and hitting America.
• 10:13
Speaker 5: So this is a regime that has been targeting America
• 10:16
Speaker 5: for forty seven years. It's their rezone detroits, the reason
• 10:21
Speaker 5: for being. They're completely you know, ideological fanatics who are
• 10:26
Speaker 5: not necessarily responsive to the careful calculation of costs and benefit,
• 10:31
Speaker 5: so they do things that other countries don't do. You
• 10:33
Speaker 5: have countries that are adversarial to you, but I don't
• 10:37
Speaker 5: hear North Korea chanting death to America. I don't hear
• 10:41
Speaker 5: China chanting both Korea. I don't hear Russia. You know,
• 10:44
Speaker 5: these are all countries which you have which are adversarial
• 10:47
Speaker 5: to you, but they're not seized by this fanaticism. But
• 10:51
Speaker 5: Iran is. So. Iran wants to develop nuclear weapons and
• 10:54
Speaker 5: the means to deliver them to every American city. And
• 10:57
Speaker 5: this is what this is about, preventing them from having
• 11:00
Speaker 5: this intercontinental ballistic missiles with nuclear weapons to tip them,
• 11:07
Speaker 5: which could threaten the life of every America. That's why
• 11:10
Speaker 5: President Trump chose to act to prevent them from doing this.
• 11:14
Speaker 3: Now, you can obviously hear there from Bennette Yahoo that
• 11:17
Speaker 3: he understands he has a mission that he's trying to accomplish.
• 11:20
Speaker 3: That mission is a little bit different than the US's mission.
• 11:23
Speaker 3: It may take a little bit longer for him to
• 11:25
Speaker 3: be able to do what he needs to do to
• 11:26
Speaker 3: protect his people, and clearly the President understands that. What's
• 11:30
Speaker 3: also interesting is what we said earlier today on Fox
• 11:33
Speaker 3: News Channel. Take a listen to Brian Mask. He's the
• 11:36
Speaker 3: Republican from Florida, the House Foreign Affairs Chairman, and this
• 11:40
Speaker 3: is what he had to say about what's happening not
• 11:42
Speaker 3: only on Wall Street, but also the price of crude
• 11:45
Speaker 3: oil and the Strait of Hormuz, as well as Donald
• 11:47
Speaker 3: Trump's outline for what he's trying to do.
• 11:50
Speaker 6: So let's bring in now our House Foreign Afairs Committee Chairman,
• 11:53
Speaker 6: Florida Republican Brian Mass. Welcome to you, sir. First, I
• 11:56
Speaker 6: want to ask you about the breaking news that seems
• 11:58
Speaker 6: to be sending markets much much higher at this moment.
• 12:02
Speaker 6: The Dow up nine and twenty points. It's a big
• 12:05
Speaker 6: turnaround for where it was earlier today, and it seems
• 12:07
Speaker 6: to be hinging on this report to reports, one from
• 12:11
Speaker 6: the Wall Street Journal, one from the New York Post. First,
• 12:13
Speaker 6: the Wall Street Journal reporting that President Trump is telling
• 12:16
Speaker 6: AIDS reportedly that he's willing to end the war without
• 12:20
Speaker 6: fully reopening the Strait of Horror Mooz. The concern, apparently
• 12:24
Speaker 6: from the President is that this would push the Epic
• 12:28
Speaker 6: Fury operation past its six week deadline. I'm going to
• 12:31
Speaker 6: get your thoughts in your reaction first to that.
• 12:34
Speaker 7: A couple of reactions. Just Number one, the President had
• 12:36
Speaker 7: outlined a goal from the beginning. He's trying to stay
• 12:38
Speaker 7: within the parameters of what he outlined. Number Two, you have,
• 12:41
Speaker 7: of course golf partners in the golf partners in the
• 12:44
Speaker 7: region that are unwilling to see the Straits of Horror
• 12:47
Speaker 7: Mouz be this toll road for around where they can
• 12:50
Speaker 7: simply charge for anything that goes in or out of there.
• 12:53
Speaker 7: They're not going to allow that to take place. And
• 12:55
Speaker 7: so there's conversations, debate everything going on with that as well.
• 12:58
Speaker 7: And if the United States accomplished is its mission of
• 13:01
Speaker 7: destroying every single piece of Iranian military hardware, the drones,
• 13:04
Speaker 7: the Navy, the Air Force, the ballistic missiles, everything that
• 13:07
Speaker 7: can reach out and touch us, as has been our goal.
• 13:10
Speaker 7: Then we've essentially controlled the straits and the way that
• 13:12
Speaker 7: we decided from the onset that we wanted to control this.
• 13:16
Speaker 3: It is very clear that Wall Street and also the
• 13:18
Speaker 3: rest of the world is reacting to President Donald Trump
• 13:21
Speaker 3: making it very clear he does not believe this war
• 13:24
Speaker 3: is going to last that much longer. He also believes
• 13:27
Speaker 3: that we are accomplishing our mission, and that is about
• 13:31
Speaker 3: safety and security. We'll see what happens in the days ahead,
• 13:35
Speaker 3: and we'll cover it all for you.
