- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: what's up guys guy here it is Sunday night just back from Levi Stadium and uh... i was feeling in back feeling in for Greg pop up again today and i will be again next week and in theapolis headed with the team in the on Saturday from Monday night game and then we'll see we'll see after that uh... that you got a great mentioned it so we can say that uh... there's a chance that he comes back we are rooting for that a hundred percent and uh... if that happens and i
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be involved probably in some capacity on the broadcast but it is his show and the possibility that he's going to be back on
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: a game at the end of this year or games or more is pretty great.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully that's what happens.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you saw him the day he mentioned it on he mentioned it on on his radio show.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see what happens.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: As you know, that's kind of like the will see what happens is the whole thing.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: Although the one thing I didn't need to will see what happens is I said it in the booth today.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: During a commercial break everyone's just kind of look at we're looking at the Rams Lions score we're looking at the Seahawk score going on what's gonna happen and I said I know it's gonna happen The Seahawks and the Rams are gonna win and then when it when Indie took a lead late Well, I less than a minute left.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: I thought oh, maybe Indie maybe Seattle is gonna lose.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: I cannot wait I cannot wait to go watch the tape of the colds game and just to watch Philip Rivers I'd be that'd be the first Game on my list even if that I was weren't playing Indianapolis this week, but
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: not planning anapolis this week.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: 49ers beat the Titans there was, you know, it was a, they won a foreigner row.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: They won a foreigner row.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: They have gotten to 10 wins.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: They're in sixth place.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: They're, you know, a game ahead of, or a half a game ahead of Green Bay, they maintain the pace.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: 11 and three rams 11 and three Seattle 40 that is ten and four still get the place Seattle at the end of the year so you know still opportunity If it sounds like I'm leading up to an annoyance that yes, I'm leading up to an annoyance, but cannot deny I thought offensively this is what they have to have
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: This is absolutely essential.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the titans are not a good football team.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: The titans are two and 12.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: They are fighting for the one seed.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: Again, back to back years.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: And they,
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: they, you know, or we're in addition to being not very good on defense and having like one or they got a couple sweat to Vandre sweat from Texas, Jeffrey Simmons, the defensive tackle, good players.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have a great secondary and on top of that, their secondary got beat up.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: So the nighters did with their supposed deal in offense.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was great to see Ricky Pierce all.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: I hope he's okay.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: Because he went, he was back looking like the guy that he was the
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: Whether you think he was playing like one of the best receivers in a league or, you know, it is one of the best, he was, he was putting up numbers like the best receivers in the league for the first month of the year.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: His yards per catch numbers were off the charts and he kept it going today.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: Nine catches for six catches for 96 yards.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: He was really, really good.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: Tighten stank.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: but the person else not good, but they could not guard that guy.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: So I think you see what the nighter's offense can be.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: Kittle, Jannings has hit his stride.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: Pierce all now back, hopefully the PCL didn't get worse again.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's enough.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: You sprinkle a couple of bones.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: You sprinkle a sprinkle a couple of the Marcus Robinson's, you know, as long as Christian's back is good, one catch is not gonna be the standard for him.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's gonna have more than that.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: And you sprinkle a few Bryan Robinson's, feel like a lot of Bryan Robinson, I'm curious today.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: And that's that recipe.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it's the Titans that you scored 37 against.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: But that recipe's good.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like you can win playoff games, especially if you're at home,
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: You can win playoff games with that offense, Brock making mostly excellent decisions.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think that the processing power and Brock's processing power has been the thing that I've always said.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: I thought was his best skill.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: I would say his ability to create when he's going forward, right?
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: When he is moving forward towards the corners of the line of scrimmage or towards the line,
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: He can make, he is, that creation ability.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: It is to me as good as his processing ability or it's right up there with his other great skill.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: Now when he's moving backwards, and there's heaps aren't exactly sure what to do and you're losing, I don't know what the rate, how many miles per hour you lose on the pitch with every five yards you go backwards, but it's a lot.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: but when he's moving forward he is he he can really stress the defense you know I thought the toe the the turf does not gonna totally go away but him being able to create again with his legs the nighters I think at the first seven third downs today just like in the browns game they were excellent third down brought was a big part of that
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: when they had six first downs, four of them were passing, two of them were running, like he was really good running.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was really decisive running.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: The 26-yard run, the longest of the year for the $40, that's a crazy stat.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, when you think about some of these stats, and it's kind of Kyle Shanahan's 46th birthday today, Sunday, December 14th.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: Kyle Shanahan turned 46th, which by the way, is two years older than Philip Rivers, who turned 44, like last week, think December 8th or something like that, Philip
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Kyle Shannon's been around forever.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: Two years older than Philip Revers, Robert Sala, like when you think about, they've had the longest run of the season, they've had two runs over 20 hours in the longest run of the season, 26 yards, Brock Perti.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's the longest run by a 49er's quarterback since Colin Kaepernick in 2016, by the way.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: But that's mind blowing and it's Tim Ryan said on radio is like that might be as long as run by yardage.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: That is not as long as run on the GPS tracker.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: It is right because Brock will go back and forth to all kinds of stuff.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: But good decisions on point for the most part, though his like run left and throw backside out over the middle.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: And enough weapons, like this is enough weapons.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the brand that I use situation is crazy.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like today, it's not crazy when you think about what it's been.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: But just like from beginning to end, the situation is just crazy.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: And you want from hope and he'd return this year to like him.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: No one's seen him for a month.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: And they just put him on the, I'm never heard of this list.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: They're like not going to come back list.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: The nighters think about this.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: You thought the Niners have had two players walk out and back to back years.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: Last year, Defundra Campbell did it during a game.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: And this year, Brandon, I, you did it.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know one.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: So, but Ricky, being healthy, plus kiddo, plus Jennings, there was a minute when it thought the Jennings thing would go the way the I, you think it didn't.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: And partly, maybe it's because he's got money to go on.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: But, but it didn't and he, you know, are you?
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: Is there best receiver?
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like, Pierce could be their best receiver, but he's got to stay healthy.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's got to availability.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: But, to one Jennings.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: So, the fact that it's been this long, the run game hasn't had a 26-year run this year, and Jennings was heard, and Pierce all was heard, and quarterback was heard, Brock,
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: kind of get things rolling, Jennings didn't come back in December, but you know, this is like, they got it going now.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: They better because, and I don't know if the stats will back this up.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: I was just kind of thinking about it.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: When I looked at the stats today, I thought after the game, like when I got home, like, oh, maybe I'm wrong.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: It felt like the worst defensive performance of the year.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: I'll just look that
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: Now, one of you might look at it.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, no, no, this game or that game yard edge or this, but when you account for opponent, it just felt the worst.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: Which?
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: I know when I look at the numbers feels crazy like 170 yards for Cam War and like okay, whatever.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: But miss but they missed like he's Cam War to had 170.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: He should have had another whatever it would have been 40 yards and a touchdown bomb the van Jefferson.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: He just moonballed it.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: They missed some huge plays.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: 20
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, who knows what would happen if hadn't been hurt in the first round of that divisional playoff game against the nighters three years ago.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: For the Cowboys.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: He was even better today than wasn't that way better today than wasn't that game.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: Seven yards a carry.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the nighters defense just is so severely lacking now in playmakers, they desperately need to take them to Thunback hit him with Thun.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: And Tim Ryan said he thinks he's going to come back.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: Tim this week, high ankle sprain week 11, he had five straight games to 10 tackles or more.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I know, somebody's got to get the tackles out there.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: But his absence has been impactful.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: Camorse has been sack 49 times entering play this week.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: And he gets back on the plan to Tennessee having only been sack only, most of the league.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: But still 49, he gets sack.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, they don't, for our defense, this is a, I know it sounds negative.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: Because there's a positive coming, I get, not because there has to be, but the fact they're in this position is crazy.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: Now, that said, I do think you look at the NFC, it's so deep, it's so deep, it's so deep.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's not, it's not top end great.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: To me, avoid the Rams in the postseason, and I know you beat the Rams,
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: They're one of two teams in the league that are top five in offense and defense.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: Now Seattle's kind of in that mix and you know how I feel about Seattle.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: Can they beat you 100% like here's a here's a shocking take for you.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: And right now after watching this defense of performance, it doesn't feel like the
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: If I said to you, what would surprise you more than honors in the conference championship camera Seattle, I'm going to be in the major minority here.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: I know and people are going to don't take this if this is not a night or homework take this is a Seattle take like.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see it happening.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I'll be wrong.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: But I said this several weeks ago when Richard Sherman said, Seattle's the best team in the league.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, we go through, we go through like five best teams
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think this, I think the season will end in the regular season with the Rams is the one seed and the Rams looking like the best team of league.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you what, go look at the AFC right now.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: If the bills, I don't care about what anybody's seed is, the bills should do an off-season like,
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: spiritual cleansing, if they don't come out of the AFC this year.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I know they were down big to to New England today.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: But like in the, oh, look at a list of teams and tell me which one would shock you if they're in the conference championship game or winning the Super Bowl, like these AFC is good.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying it's not good, but Denver's the one theater.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: They won the championship,
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: New England is the two seed right now.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: Are they one of the Super Bowl?
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody's got to Jacksonville Pittsburgh, the Chargers, I mean those are the top five seas in the AFC right now with the chiefs eliminated and patchable homes out with an ACL by the way.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: Now there's one thing to font is got a hamstring and it sounds like McFace says it's serious.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: big deals but you know to me the packers weren't weren't going to elevate their anyway.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't see even with a suspect defense and I feel like I'm just today I'm down on them because man it's just
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: I know the titans, I think, were surprised.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: Not surprised, but just like in person impressed with Kian White, who they got for a six, seven round swap.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's a good player, but the run, deep and Jonathan tailored this week, like, oh my God.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: But to me, like, there are just some teams, and the rent today was a great example.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, the Lions can score, but they don't stop anybody.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: And if you, I just think a shootout with the Rams
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's bad news.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: So I think the Niners, we'll see where they get see it.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: But I think the matchup is going to matter so much.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: The Bears Game is fascinating.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: The Bears Game is fascinating.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_00]: But I think you have to, like, you got to win that game.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care what the record is.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: You got to go, you got to beat the Bears at home in prime time.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: When that's like, first year head coach, Ben Johnson's good.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: First year head coach, young quarterback beat that team.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, but I had some matchups, so I like you can win a couple of games, but the defense had a bad day.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: had a bad day.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: I could be convinced I didn't do a deep dive into that under schedule on like was this the worst statistically like if you look at yards per play I think it was it may not even been worse five of the game and six point two then I was at three where their defense gave up seven plus but again you give up four to the ramps to me that is different than given up six point two six point three yards per play to the Titans.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: Tony Pollock got whatever he wanted.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: They were getting pushed around on the front, I feel like they were just kind of scattered defensively like, am I making a play or am I just going when I'm supposed to go, it was, it was a, all right, it was a frustrating effort, but they won't run it away because the Titans are bad.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: And also the Titans are bad and also, the pure soul thing, plus Jennings, plus Kittle is a, that's a real thing, man.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's a real thing and, you know, I thought Brock was good.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: This is why we talk about the schedule.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: We talk about the schedule because it matters.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: It matters.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: You play Cleveland and Carolina, Tennessee.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: That the late by the that effect was there any effect on the defense because of the
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how you would, it's supposed to be positive.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: So, especially when you're getting pushed up front and that team was just in Cleveland and other coming out here.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: So, the buy should only help your legs on defense, but they can be better.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen them be better, but that I came out of that defensively going like, oh my gosh, that's bad.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: In this NFC, to win enough games.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_00]: Now you got to win another game.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think 10 games right now you feel kind of okay two games up on Green Bay, but I don't think 10's enough.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: You got to win another game.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, is there an early line?
- 16:52[SPEAKER_00]: Something like night, cults, 49ers.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: I cannot believe Philip Rivers is the quarterback for the, I have cults for the, I don't know, let's see.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: favorites.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: This is what I'm seeing.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: But that is at a couple of days ago.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: Six and a half.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: It opened at three once upon a time.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: It is now six and a half.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that feels like a lot on the road.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think they shouldn't win the game, but after what I just watched Tony Pollard do.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: And here's the
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: Fill up.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: I've got to go back and watch the Seattle game.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_00]: You've got to think there's going to be a big jump for rivers from game one to game two.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: The other thing with rivers, that's different than camoard.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: I might as he can make camoard can make some special throws.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: He made a really good play that he's received or dropped, but fill up.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: He knows really go with the ball.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't set camoard.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: Can you sack fill up rivers?
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: more negative than I intend to be.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_00]: But, um, you know, that was a titan game that, you had a should have been, I felt should have been put away before it was, I was gonna agitated, uh, but I, um, gosh, who, if you guys knew right now, who's my, who's Super Bowl, I'm gonna ram's bills.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: But the bills are weird, like,
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: I, I'm probably being resist not probably.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm being resistant on Denver.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm being resistant on Seattle.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_00]: Who else am I being resistant on?
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: Resistant on New England for sure.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: Resistant on, that's it.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: Those are the teams that I think if you ask people they'd be like,
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I got to go look at like a this poly market.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's show me futures NFL who people think going to win this Super Bowl.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see here.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, here we go.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: Poly market not a sponsor, but we take it or calcium Super Bowl winner.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: Here's what people think.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_00]: 5% green bay, 4% 9% is 4% Jacksonville, 5% Baltimore.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, everyone thinks we're answering one of the two, okay.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's it for this.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks for jumping in.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: I, I wouldn't, I don't care.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't hope nothing.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: Get the win.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_00]: I said, I said a lot of stuff that I was, uh, made me sound annoying, but, um, it is a testament this year.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: It is a testament to Kyle Shannon, it is a testament to Robert Sala.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty pretty special with these guys have done.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_00]: The schedule is the schedule, yes, but it is, it is pretty special what they've done.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_00]: And they can do more.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: They've played better in this before.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: even with guys out.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: They played better than this.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: But they'll need to.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: They'll need to be a little bit better on defense.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_00]: Not a lot better, just a little bit better on defense because the offense is good.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: Offensive good.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_00]: In good shape.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_00]: So all right, that's the sun in that reaction.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes I wake up Monday and I'm like, oh, that was it.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: Was that harsh?
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: Was that too harsh?
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: So you guys will tell me, I'll see the thumbs down.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: Why are you being negative guy?
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I am though.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I am.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: Gold locks.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's just right.
