  I'm going to this podcast. I'm going to reintroduce myself

  because hopefully we've got new people.

  I'm going to talk about some new stuff.

  I'm going to try to lay down what we're going to be doing
• 0:41
  schedule wise and everything else.

  So first and foremost, this year I'm going to try to get more
• 0:48
  guests on, do a little more interview type of stuff, talk
• 0:52
  about talk to different people, see, hear their story or try to
• 0:58
  at least, you know, hear their story, learn some new stuff from
• 1:02
  some different people. Hopefully we're always going to
• 1:06
  have a sports segment because this I'm just I love talking
• 1:09
  about LSU sports, college athletics.
• 1:12
  We're going to talk about that might throw some Super Bowl
• 1:15
  stuff in some play NFL playoffs might throw.
• 1:18
  I mean, it's too late now the playoffs are over, but hopefully
• 1:22
  this Wednesday I'll have wheel back and we'll talk about, you
• 1:25
  know, the play at what we thought of the college football
• 1:28
  playoffs, what we thought of the national champions, Miami versus
• 1:32
  Indiana. I think Indiana's going to put
• 1:36
  belt to ass and easily walk through that one.
• 1:38
  I just hope they put their, you know, their second string in
• 1:42
  maybe to start the game so we can get a little bit of a close
• 1:44
  game. Who knows?
• 1:46
  Miami's a good team. Miami's a good team.
• 1:49
  They fought in every game they went.
• 1:50
  But Indiana has just easily walked through this game.
• 1:55
  They could they could have had a blindfold on and be that it
• 1:58
  would look that easy for them and I wouldn't be surprised if
• 2:02
  they win it all this year. They're a good team, probably
• 2:04
  the most complete team in foot college football right now.
• 2:08
  You know, that being said, you know, coming next year, LS us
• 2:13
  got new head guy, new offensive staff, bunch of new faces and
• 2:19
  Sam Levitt, Landon Clark, I think I said that's his name.
• 2:23
  He's from Elon and I think that's his name.
• 2:26
  Got a kid, the kid from warehouse USC got a bunch of new
• 2:30
  lineman re stacked and rod receiver.
• 2:33
  You know, hopefully we get a bunch of offensive lineman
• 2:37
  because that was our weakest group last year and the weakest
• 2:40
  group the previous year. Although they were pretty
• 2:42
  strong, they were in running backs.
• 2:44
  We need to get our running back game going.
• 2:46
  I think Kiffin will do a good job.
• 2:50
  You know, he's a very offensive mind, offensive ball.
• 2:52
  He kept Blake Baker, which was give us a defensive mindset.
• 2:55
  Whole coaching staff is back for defense pretty much.
• 2:59
  We'll have a good defense. Hopefully we can compete.

  You know, there's a lot of talk about moving the playoffs to 12
• 3:07
  team play. I mean a 16 team playoff from a
• 3:09
  12 team playoff. Who said the big team was
• 3:12
  useless? They came up with a pretty nice
• 3:15
  2014 playoff, you know, I like that.

  But probably the main focus from the third podcast, probably the
• 3:27
  second podcast, be honest, probably the one coming
• 3:29
  Wednesday or Thursday that's going to drop.

  We'll record it Wednesday and it'll drop.

  Thursday will be probably a little bit about college
• 3:37
  football, majority college baseball.

  And I was previewed LSU season. Talk about new stuff, new
• 3:42
  different stuff every week, maybe throwing a little
• 3:45
  pickleball stuff, you know, tell stories until the season starts,
• 3:49
  you know, but that's where we're at.

  Like I said, I'm hopefully going to be able to get different
• 3:55
  guests on to talk about different things, talk about how
• 3:58
  they do things and they're, you know, everybody's at a different
• 4:02
  mindset. You can learn from everybody you
• 4:04
  talk to. Hopefully my goal is to get a
• 4:08
  bunch of different people on, tell a bunch of different
• 4:10
  stories, learn a bunch of new things. 26 be a The goal for
• 4:15
  2026 for this podcast is to at least put out 42 quality
• 4:20
  episodes. It's going to be the start of
• 4:21
  season 2, Season 2. We're going to do some new
• 4:23
  things, talk about different stuff.
• 4:27
  Like I said, I would love to get different guests on, talk about
• 4:31
  whose backgrounds are in different things.
• 4:33
  It doesn't have to be sports. I want to learn new things from
• 4:36
  anybody who would love to come on the show, want to come on the
• 4:38
  show and tell me, you know, we talked about stuff, talk about
• 4:42
  experiences. It doesn't have to be any, you
• 4:44
  know, anything profound. It could just be, you know,
• 4:48
  somebody in different field. I'm a teacher, could be somebody
• 4:52
  in a different field, you know, just anything.
• 4:55
  But we'll always talk about sports at some point.
• 4:57
  I'll always bring up sports. Maybe I'll do a 30 minute, it'll
• 5:01
  be a 30 minute interview and it's followed by another 15 to
• 5:05
  30 minutes talk about LSU baseball.
• 5:07
  They have a lot of games, you know, a lot of different things
• 5:11
  will happen. I think they have a good team.
• 5:15
  It's just, I heard somebody said, you know, the difference
• 5:19
  between this team and the 24 team after they won is I think
• 5:23
  they they think they figured it out.
• 5:26
  They'll figure it out faster, how to work as a team and
• 5:29
  everything. And that was the main thing
• 5:32
  holding them back. They have the talent.
• 5:33
  Some people say it's the most talented team Jay Johnson's had
• 5:36
  since he's been in Baton Rouge. We'll see.
• 5:39
  You know, hopefully they can come together and play as a
• 5:42
  team. That'll be something to look
• 5:43
  for, you know, but we won't talk about too much of that right
• 5:46
  now. I just wanted to do, and then
• 5:48
  I'm going to do a hopefully we'll get new people.

  I'm going to do a quick reintroduction.

  My name is Justin. I'm from South Louisiana,
• 5:57
  between New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

  It's been a wild ride as LSU Louisiana sports fan in general.
• 6:07
  But I'm, as you can see from all the stuff behind me, I'm a huge
• 6:10
  LSU baseball fan, grew up going to the games, you know, just
• 6:16
  love it. Been watching it.
• 6:18
  Probably missed a handful of games from earlier in the early
• 6:25
  2000 tens and early 2000s that weren't televised.
• 6:30
  But since every game has been on some streaming service or some
• 6:34
  way or another, I've pretty much seen every game that they have
• 6:39
  played since 2015. Maybe before that they LSU had a
• 6:46
  streaming service and it's the one that they showed, you know,
• 6:49
  those views that they show when they go, when you go to the
• 6:52
  concession stands and stuff on their TV, they had on their
• 6:56
  TV's, they had a streaming service back in early 2012, 2013
• 7:03
  that showed that. So I subscribe to that and watch
• 7:09
  the baseball games, you know, so I've seen I don't think I've
• 7:15
  missed a game or I've tried not to miss a game, even if it's
• 7:18
  listening to it on the radio. I've been lived through, don't
• 7:23
  remember much of it because I was I'm born, I was born in 93.
• 7:29
  So I lived through a lot of the golden era of LSU baseball.
• 7:33
  And to skip Bertman definitely went, you know, lived through
• 7:37
  Smoke Laval watch those games, all of the pulmonary, seen all
• 7:43
  of Pulmonary's games and definitely has watched almost
• 7:46
  every game that Jay Johnson has coached at LSU, not almost every
• 7:50
  game he's coached at LSU. You know, season ticket holder,
• 7:55
  season ticket holder for football.
• 7:58
  What a new exciting things coming up.
• 8:00
  You know, I go to gymnastics meets.
• 8:02
  I don't know much about gymnastics, but I think it's
• 8:05
  amazing what they do. I can never do that.
• 8:08
  I would probably die if I did that.
• 8:11
  It's just a lot of flipping and precise control of your body.
• 8:16
  And I mean, we're going to talk about a lot of stuff on this
• 8:22
  thing, but I will say this, you know, baseball players, football
• 8:27
  players, basketball players, they're amazing.
• 8:30
  But I think real athletes are the gymnast because I know for a
• 8:34
  fact there aren't too many people that can come off the
• 8:38
  football field or basketball court or baseball field and do
• 8:42
  it. Those gymnasts do it all the
• 8:44
  time and not get hurt. I mean, let's be honest, anybody
• 8:47
  can go do a flip. But this is the way they landed
• 8:50
  and make it look gracefully and not hurt themselves.
• 8:53
  But yeah, so that. So this year, you know, the
• 8:58
  goals for this podcast is to grow it, grow subscribers and
• 9:02
  listeners and everything like that.
• 9:05
  YouTube, same deal, grow the Instagram and the TikTok
• 9:09
  Facebook page. I have a Twitter, I hardly tweet
• 9:13
  anything on it, but I have that. But one big thing that I am
• 9:16
  going to try to push and ask everybody to join this year is I
• 9:21
  started a school page to have A, to just have a community base
• 9:28
  back in late November, early December.
• 9:31
  I haven't pushed it because I was still trying to figure it
• 9:33
  out. Honestly, I'm still trying to
• 9:36
  figure it out. But I would love for everyone to
• 9:39
  join me over there on school and just a place to drop your
• 9:44
  thoughts, you know, you have a comment about something we could
• 9:49
  talk about or a question, you know, that we can try our best
• 9:53
  to answer. Drop it on school.

  you know, but school is going to be a big part of how I would

  It's basically a way for me to reach out to you guys and hear

  as far as supporters go, but I'll answer questions over

  get the YouTube to grow, trying to get the podcast to grow on

  Spotify or Apple podcast, Whichever 1 you listening to is

  fine. Just want to grow.

  You know, I appreciate all your support, but you know, like I

  said, we'll talk a lot of baseball coming up from probably
• 10:50
  February to hopefully the end of June, beginning of July, you

  know, we'll have a lot to talk about baseball wise.

  Start of the season is February 13th and I'll pull up the
• 11:04
  schedule. The College World Series, the
• 11:06
  last day possible the College World Series would be June 22nd.

  So like I said, hopefully from February 13th to June 22nd we'll
• 11:16
  have a lot to talk about. Now I will be heading to
• 11:20
  Jacksonville to watch him play Indiana, Notre Dame and UCF.
• 11:25
  So hopefully we get I can get a bunch to talk about from them.

  You know, that's always a fun trip.
• 11:30
  I went to Frisco last year and so how I stayed at the team
• 11:33
  motel and got, well, I got to stay at the team motel and see
• 11:37
  how the players interacted with each other and see have it, you
• 11:40
  know, talk to some about some of them, meet some of them.
• 11:43
  It was a good time, good way to see what we've got and, you
• 11:48
  know, and how they interact with each other.
• 11:49
  And it was a great thing to see. Hopefully be able to do that
• 11:52
  again. That was fun.

  Going forward, what I plan to do is hopefully be able to drop the
• 12:00
  episode, record an episode every Wednesday.

  Yeah, I'm hoping to record an episode every Wednesday.

  And sorry, what I'm saying, what I'm trying to say is hopefully

  I'll record an episode every Wednesday, drop it that night or

  that Thursday and hopefully, you know, we'll have a consistent

  scheduling base with a different, you know, different

  stuff like YouTube shorts, YouTube videos from baseball.

  Like I said, I'm hoping to do pickle, but start with

  pickleball against real soon. So hopefully have some stuff on
• 12:32
  YouTube for that and then we could talk about pickleball too

  and podcast because pickleball is fine.

  Hopefully I'll get some get something where I can take some,
• 12:42
  you know, footage from that and get some stuff going just to
• 12:46
  have different stuff. You know, I'm a teacher.

  I know I'm it gets boring to sit here and listen to somebody for
• 12:53
  extended period of time. So hopefully I could throw in
• 12:55
  some more entertaining stuff, some clips from baseball games.

  Hopefully that I go to some different stuff.

  Just try to make this, I will say this, OK, Everything I save

  in sports I am not an expert on. I'm just a fan who has opinions

  in one way or another. I'm going to find a way to voice

  my opinion. So I thought, why not do a

  podcast, you know? But I'm also looking to make

  this something more than just sports, like talking to
• 13:23
  different people, having different people on as guest.

  You know, Will's always going to be one of the, you know,
• 13:31
  mainstays on here. Good friend of mine.

  I'm also looking to have other people on, hear different
• 13:38
  stories, learn new stuff, you know, that's what life's about.

  It's life's about is learning as much as you can, talking to
• 13:45
  different people, getting different people's outlooks on
• 13:48
  different situations. You know, that's what makes life
• 13:51
  fun and that's what I'm looking to do here.

  I'm looking to just have fun. Maybe hope not, maybe hopefully
• 13:59
  put out some really good content for you guys.

  You know, that's the main goal. Always want you guys to be

  happy, you know, like I said, any suggestions on what we can

  do? I do have a desk coming in
