- 0:00Welcome to the Ignite with Barry McGuire podcast.
- 0:03How would you like to have the time of your life for the rest of your life?
- 0:07How would you like to defeat fear effortlessly, knowing for sure God is hearing and answering your prayers and directing your steps and making everything work for good?
- 0:17This is exciting.
- 0:18Here's the question.
- 0:19How would you like to ignite your life?
- 0:21Stay tuned.
- 0:26Hi, everybody.
- 0:26Welcome back to Ignite.
- 0:27We're back.
- 0:28Yes, we're back.
- 0:29My dear wife, Karen.
- 0:31And if you didn't watch the earlier segment, stop and go back and watch the earlier segment, okay?
- 0:38And we ran out of a guest.
- 0:40We needed a guest for today.
- 0:41And I looked at her and thought, hey.
- 0:44You want to be my guest?
- 0:45And we've never had Karen on our podcast before, and she is half my life or 60% of my life.
- 0:51And it is not my ministry.
- 0:53It's our ministry.
- 0:54It's our lives.
- 0:55Yes.
- 0:56We've lived this life together.
- 0:59When Karen married me, we were in college, Christian college.
- 1:05And when I graduated into the McGuire's family business, the business was doing $600,000 a year, 60 year old business doing $600,000 a year.
- 1:15And our business was buffing cars in body shops with a machine.
- 1:20And that's what I did every day.
- 1:21I went to the filthy dirty body shops all over the United States.
- 1:25And they were smoke filled and greasy.
- 1:28I mean, the shops back in those days, they were terrible.
- 1:32But I could buff a car and I was really good at doing it.
- 1:34I've been doing it all my life and I could make that car look perfect.
- 1:38I worked for General Motors.
- 1:40Oh, yes, she did.
- 1:41She did.
- 1:41She supported me.
- 1:43When we first got married, I was still in college and she supported me.
- 1:45She worked for General Motors.
- 1:47Yeah, I had the good job.
- 1:49But in the midst of all that, God inspired me to go retail.
- 1:53And I said to God, I don't know anything about retail.
- 1:56I know how to buff a car.
- 1:58And I kept hearing the message.
- 2:00And so I said, God, my favorite scripture coming out of college is Proverbs 3.5.
- 2:06Trust the Lord with your whole heart.
- 2:08Mm-hmm.
- 2:09and don't depend on your own understanding.
- 2:11And so I laughed.
- 2:12I said, God, this is easy for me because I don't have any understanding.
- 2:15I don't have a clue.
- 2:17I wouldn't know how to sell the smallest individual retailer.
- 2:20So I'm going to trust you with my whole heart.
- 2:23And that's worked out.
- 2:24I bet I could have.
- 2:25Pretty well.
- 2:26Well, you could have, of course.
- 2:27Well, you had, yeah, of course.
- 2:31And we did together.
- 2:32And how many times did I walk out the door with you and give me a scripture for the day?
- 2:36Oh, yes.
- 2:36I would be telling him a scripture as he went out the door, and I prayed and prayed for this company.
- 2:42And so, but I was making $5,000 a year.
- 2:47That was my income.
- 2:49That was really bad.
- 2:50The year was 1960.
- 2:531963.
- 2:55Yeah, I had $5,000 a year salary.
- 2:59And nobody respected me.
- 3:00I didn't respect me from a business standpoint.
- 3:02It was a grunt business.
- 3:05And...
- 3:10You can't get from there to where we are today, folks.
- 3:18We say every day, God, how did it happen?
- 3:21How?
- 3:22Why do we have what we have?
- 3:23Why do we, how?
- 3:25It just.
- 3:26We say that almost every day.
- 3:27We deserve nothing.
- 3:28We deserve nothing.
- 3:30When we pull up to our driveway, we stop, we say, we look and we have a nice house.
- 3:34We say, how is it possible?
- 3:38And our answer is always the same.
- 3:40We've been faithful.
- 3:42It's not very smart and anything about being smart or over anything or deserving and none of that.
- 3:50We've just been faithful.
- 3:52The simplest of scriptures.
- 3:54It wasn't heavy preaching.
- 3:55We've had great preaching all of our lives.
- 3:57But it's just simple.
- 3:59Just trust the Lord with all your heart.
- 4:01Don't depend on your own understanding.
- 4:04And he will direct your steps and give you joy and open doors.
- 4:08That's for sure.
- 4:09And the miracle of our business and how we become the number one selling brand.
- 4:13All that.
- 4:13I'm not here selling Coral Wax.
- 4:15It is quite amazing though.
- 4:17But it is an amazing story.
- 4:20Only the Lord.
- 4:21I've told that story so many times.
- 4:23When people turned me down, I was trying to get into the big box stores.
- 4:27I was turning me down.
- 4:29I really needed their business to grow.
- 4:30And I already spent ad dollars in anticipation they'd put me in and they didn't put me in.
- 4:36But I didn't walk away depressed because I walked away knowing I just moved closer to Jesus.
- 4:41And I know when I live to do that, it'll all work.
- 4:46So I eventually got them all.
- 4:49It was an amazing, it was an amazing trick that we shared together.
- 4:52We went to how many trade shows by ourselves, just the two of us.
- 4:55With a 10 foot table.
- 4:56With a 10 foot booth, yeah.
- 4:58And a little curtain around it.
- 5:01Anyway, we come from all that to where we are now.
- 5:03And the people that he has brought into our life.
- 5:06The incredible people that God has brought into our lives.
- 5:10David Wilkinson, the author of The Cross of Swiss Blade, the founder of Teen Challenge, he and Gwen, best friends.
- 5:15They changed.
- 5:16My life.
- 5:17Yeah.
- 5:17They literally changed my life.
- 5:19Pretty amazing.
- 5:20I know Gwen told me one time, she said she always carries money in her purse to give to people.
- 5:25Yeah.
- 5:26And I thought, well, that sounds pretty good.
- 5:28I'm going to start doing that.
- 5:29It's just everything you have, you just make it available in love on people.
- 5:33So it's a story you tell all the time.
- 5:35So many stories.
- 5:37So many.
- 5:38So many stories.
- 5:39So...
- 5:44I'm just, I mean, there's so many, I don't even know which one to get to.
- 5:49But we have this most recent story.
- 5:52So Karen, this is pure Karen, all right.
- 5:56I know she's at the doctor's appointment.
- 5:58This has just happened.
- 6:00I know she's at the doctor's appointment.
- 6:02And she comes home and she finds me.
- 6:04She says, well, I have some news.
- 6:07She said it with that exact intonation.
- 6:09I have some really good news for you.
- 6:12You didn't say really good news, but you said, I have some news.
- 6:16Well, I knew that couldn't be good news.
- 6:18She's just coming from the doctor.
- 6:20News from the doctor probably isn't good news.
- 6:24I said, well, what's the news?
- 6:26She said, well, I have cancer.
- 6:28Well, that's...
- 6:30When you hear that word, all of us, and a whole bunch of you watching right now, you know, I mean, that's pretty serious.
- 6:35You have cancer.
- 6:37And so it hit me.
- 6:40It's almost worse when it's for your mate, you know.
- 6:45But it was really interesting as they were doing the mammogram and they were taking longer and longer.
- 6:51Then the doctor said when I saw her the next day, you've got to go have another mammogram.
- 6:56And I said, I knew it.
- 6:57You know, you just.
- 6:59Oh boy.
- 6:59Here comes.
- 7:00Here comes.
- 7:01But you know, when you go through, it doesn't matter what you go through, when you know that God's in it.
- 7:05Well, I just told the Lord.
- 7:08I said, Lord, it's yours.
- 7:10Take it.
- 7:11And I never worried about it.
- 7:13Never.
- 7:14Zero.
- 7:14I've had the peace.
- 7:16Zero.
- 7:16The real peace that passes.
- 7:18All understanding, just like with Nicole when she passed away.
- 7:21It is.
- 7:22He took it.
- 7:23I posted pictures on my Facebook.
- 7:26If you go to Facebook and pull up my name, you'll see the pictures of Karen.
- 7:30And so here's how it unfolded right quick.
- 7:32So once she told me
- 7:37I was thinking about it later.
- 7:38We didn't talk about it very much.
- 7:41It wasn't a topic of conversation.
- 7:44We weren't avoiding it.
- 7:45We didn't even think about it.
- 7:46We weren't avoiding it.
- 7:47We just, it wasn't like, oh, cancer, cancer.
- 7:50It wasn't, there wasn't none of that.
- 7:52No, God had it.
- 7:53He already was taking care of it.
- 7:54Yeah, so she was in God's control.
- 7:56And so it's 5.30.
- 7:58She has a 5.30 appointment for the surgery, and I'm driving her, and she's doing her normal surgery.
- 8:04Karen talks, and she's happy, and she's just full of life.
- 8:08She's going, I said, do you know you're going to?
- 8:13Just 5.30.
- 8:14You do know this, right?
- 8:155.30 in the morning.
- 8:19So we get in there, and the scene's great, and I pray for them, and one of them's black and a Pentecostal, and she said, praise Jesus, you know.
- 8:28And I got pictures of all that.
- 8:30Again, I post them on Facebook.
- 8:33And she's supposed to be groggy for an hour and a half after, right?
- 8:38And so I went home, I was doing work at home.
- 8:41And I was asleep.
- 8:42And so finally they call, they say, you gotta come get her.
- 8:45She is bouncing, trying to get out the door.
- 8:48So I go, she's got all her bags back, man, she's ready to go.
- 8:52They said, just take her.
- 8:54My bags were just my clothes for the day.
- 8:57When she came in, yeah, because it was a one day deal.
- 9:01When she arrived, they said, you're, how old are you?
- 9:07They couldn't believe how old you were.
- 9:10I think they tell that to everybody Karen 85 year olds going in I brag to everybody she's celebrating her 20th anniversary of her 65th birthday wherever I go I announce to the crowds I'm very proud of that then they look at her and say are you kidding me then everybody knows how old I am oh shucks
- 9:30I'm proud of it.
- 9:30Getting ready to meet the Lord.
- 9:31Do you know the scriptures, I found them in Proverbs last week, that promise you when you're faithful to God, it is healthier bones, it's longevity of life.
- 9:41We're living examples of scripture.
- 9:44That's what we are.
- 9:46We're doing it.
- 9:46It's not because we're good.
- 9:48We just- That's because he's good to us.
- 9:50He's so good.
- 9:51So anyway, I get her in the car and we're driving home.
- 9:54She said, well, we're going to go eat.
- 9:57I said, you just had cancer surgery and you're talking about eating.
- 10:02She says, well, I didn't get to eat last night.
- 10:04They wouldn't let me eat before surgery.
- 10:06Oh, yeah, that's right.
- 10:06She says, I want to go eat.
- 10:08I said, where do you want to go?
- 10:08She said, I want to go for some pasta.
- 10:11A really light meal.
- 10:12I just discovered, yeah, just a light little snack.
- 10:16So I just discovered a local restaurant, been there a while, quite famous, but I just discovered it.
- 10:22Okay, it's called DiMaggio's.
- 10:24And it's Scottsdale, Arizona.
- 10:26And so I made a reservation there, and we went.
- 10:30And we had.
- 10:31Oh, it was such a beautiful restaurant inside.
- 10:34We had.
- 10:35Five minutes from our house.
- 10:37And so when I got home, I texted, I said, how many people go from cancer surgeries?
- 10:42to eating DiMaggio's and having a, it was like, it was a great day, you know?
- 10:47It was like, wow.
- 10:50No pain.
- 10:50This is our life.
- 10:52No, no, hold on a second.
- 10:53I don't want to offend anybody that's going through more serious surgery, okay?
- 11:00We know what that's like.
- 11:03We were with, I've talked about her often, Mrs. DiMotto, who had this
- 11:08incredibly horrible painful surgery and it was in the hospital for a couple of weeks before she died and I was mad at God I didn't understand he puts up with us But I was really bad at him until three different nurses got up and each one Said I didn't have anything to do with God and until I met mrs. D'Amato And I'd never seen so much joy in the midst of so much pain and
- 11:35Folks, if you're in pain right now, God wants to use you.
- 11:38Don't waste the pain.
- 11:41Don't waste the pain.
- 11:43I was with a friend last week, Amit Patel.
- 11:46He wouldn't mind me telling you the story.
- 11:49Since I'd seen him in July, he was diagnosed with cancer, and now stage four, and now metastasized.
- 11:58And when I got back to California, I ran to him and spent some time with him.
- 12:03And he lifted me.
- 12:06He lifted me.
- 12:07That's kind of hard to do.
- 12:09He was dancing to me.
- 12:11I woke up, yes!
- 12:12I just left this guy that's in the middle of the struggle.
- 12:16Thank you.
- 12:17And so this was a small old thing.
- 12:20Thank you, God.
- 12:20It was small.
- 12:21I was very fortunate.
- 12:23I was very fortunate.
- 12:23But there's a lot of you there that have a lot worse cancers.
- 12:27It's not...
- 12:28The point is you rejoice in everything.
- 12:31There's no excuse for shaking your fist at God.
- 12:34He's using you.
- 12:37I think of Ann, where she wasn't that strong a Christian until she got cancer, remember?
- 12:45And then- Our neighbor.
- 12:48From church, and I won't mention her last name, but-
- 12:53She really never shared her faith until she got cancer.
- 12:57That's right.
- 12:57And she knew God all her life.
- 12:59She was on her way to heaven, but she had a busy life.
- 13:01She's a socialite and whatever.
- 13:03And then she got serious.
- 13:04And then she started moving everybody every day closer to Jesus.
- 13:07At the end of her life, she didn't have a strong enough voice for the phone, so we emailed each other.
- 13:13She could still do that.
- 13:15And I said, and to your last breath.
- 13:17He's keeping you alive because there's still one more person.
- 13:20more personally, he wants you to talk to him before he takes you home.
- 13:24So, I mean, folks, when you live like this, we're living examples.
- 13:27This is what we are.
- 13:28It's so great to have Karen on.
- 13:30See, this is our life.
- 13:31It's just how life's supposed to be.
- 13:33These are the days of your life.
- 13:35These are the days of our lives.
- 13:37We're in our 80s and still going strong.
- 13:39Bad things happen to everybody, but we never have a bad day.
- 13:43Even when things happen, give it to God.
- 13:47Just give it to him.
- 13:49Don't let anything rob you of joy.
- 13:50Just don't let anything rub you of joy.
- 13:52And you won't if you use whatever is happening to you at that moment as your platform, as your pulpit to move everybody every day closer to Jesus.
- 14:02That's his promise to you.
- 14:04That's his promise to you.
- 14:06And it works.
- 14:07Yes, it works.
- 14:08How many times have you heard me say it in front of a crowd?
- 14:10Oh, yes.
- 14:11Who knew?
- 14:12Who knew?
- 14:12It works.
- 14:13The gospel is true.
- 14:14It actually works.
- 14:15You know, when you can look back on your life and just see all that the Lord has done for you and your family and your friends, it's miracles.
- 14:26It's just miracle after miracle after miracle.
- 14:29And I so thank the Lord for what?
- 14:34What a great inspiration he has been to me through the word.
- 14:39Oh my goodness, the Bible studies and everything that you learn from.
- 14:43You need to be in that Bible, everybody.
- 14:46I was reading scripture yesterday about people that I would describe as nominal Christians and the church is full of them.
- 14:55And it actually said to stay away from such people.
- 15:01They were breaking scripture.
- 15:04But I will tell you this.
- 15:08In Revelation chapter 2, the love of the church at Ephesus, God says, I know you're going to church.
- 15:15I know you're giving sacrifices.
- 15:17I know you're no good teaching from bad, but I have this against you.
- 15:22I'm no longer your first love.
- 15:26And when you think about it, whatever, whatever you're excited about, whatever you live for, whatever you're praying about,
- 15:36Whatever you're talking about, whatever you love, you talk about.
- 15:41Okay?
- 15:43And we can be excited about things.
- 15:47Quite frankly, there's a lot of ministries that are wonderful.
- 15:49We support a lot of ministries.
- 15:51But the people leading ministries that might be fighting abortion or fighting human trafficking or whatever, when you get close to someone, they're pretty militant.
- 16:01But the people on the other side of those issues...
- 16:05And they're praying firmly for God, come and help me with this, help me get in this battle.
- 16:10And it's kind of saying, God, help me with my God.
- 16:17Whenever you have anything in your life that's capturing your attention that's not God, it will disappoint you and let you down.
- 16:25But whatever your God is your God.
- 16:28and your joy is telling people about God, you're never disappointed.
- 16:32You're never, nothing can faze you, you're bulletproof.
- 16:36Nothing can happen to us.
- 16:37We will not die until God wants us to die and then it'll only be to bring him glory.
- 16:42Yes, you could try loving on some of those people that are doing these crazy things.
- 16:46Well, yeah, so you love on them.
- 16:48Unfortunately, I think people that are scoundrels are easier to reach.
- 16:51Oh, that's so true.
- 16:56Love talking to people with green hair and piercings and tattoos or whatever.
- 17:00And they think we're old white oppressors.
- 17:03We must be haters.
- 17:04They don't know what to do with us when we love on them.
- 17:07Oh, I love to go talk to them.
- 17:08I see Karen over with some guy and he's ethnic.
- 17:11And she's with him and laughing with him.
- 17:14And he's looking at her like, what?
- 17:16She's, Jesus.
- 17:19Right there in front of his face, the love of God is flowing through you to these people.
- 17:24I see you do that all the time.
- 17:26Yeah, he gets a... Karen...
- 17:34Way more fun than anything else in your life.
- 17:35I don't care what you do.
- 17:36It's exciting.
- 17:38Telling other people about Jesus.
- 17:40You know, even on the phone, like when you're on a business call or whatever, when you hang up, say, God bless you really, really good.
- 17:50Then say, watch for it.
- 17:52Then I put it on God.
- 17:53He has got to do something really good for that person.
- 17:55Well, you put it on your mind too.
- 17:56Now they're anticipating, right?
- 17:58Yeah, yeah.
- 17:58I love to do that.
- 17:59They start looking, okay.
- 18:01And you know what?
- 18:02We don't know the stories afterwards of how often God does something to them.
- 18:05They say, is that's how God works.
- 18:07Yeah.
- 18:07And all of a sudden, boom.
- 18:08In fact, we have people come up to us regularly and say, do you remember when you prayed for me here and here's the aftermath?
- 18:15And you walk away and say, I'm in the game.
- 18:17Thank you, God, for using.
- 18:18I don't even remember that conversation, but you used us at that moment.
- 18:23But you know, he hates for me to say this because it's such an easy thing to do.
- 18:27You're waitresses and waiters.
- 18:30Oh my goodness.
- 18:31You can, you know, you ask him if we can pray for you.
- 18:34Is there anything we can pray for you about?
- 18:37And.
- 18:38The stories will just blow you over.
- 18:42Yeah.
- 18:42What people are going through you cannot believe.
- 18:45Probably those in the most travail that need prayer the most are the ones.
- 18:48No.
- 18:49And so you just love on them.
- 18:49Well, we're going to pray for you anyway.
- 18:51We'll pray for you anyway.
- 18:52We'll just pray God will continue to give you a good life.
- 18:55If nothing else, they know these are Christians that love on them, you know.
- 18:59But how often do they break down in tears?
- 19:02Oh.
- 19:03We've had them just run out of restaurants crying.
- 19:07Say, nobody has ever prayed for me before.
- 19:09Think about that.
- 19:10Not running out of the restaurant crying, but coming to us after we walked out of the restaurant, coming up and saying thank you.
- 19:17Yeah.
- 19:17They've been in tears, too.
- 19:19People are starving for love.
- 19:22and nobody's loving them?
- 19:23No.
- 19:23And then when you come up and you love on them, and that love is God's love flowing through you to them.
- 19:29Do you understand that?
- 19:31When you have God flowing through, and you know it, and he's giving you the words to say, and the person in front of you is changing, there's no other experience like that.
- 19:40There's no other way you can have that kind of intimacy with God.
- 19:44And when they tell you, nobody has ever asked to pray for me,
- 19:49You know, you just want to crumble.
- 19:51How many times have you heard that?
- 19:53Can you imagine?
- 19:54Oh.
- 19:54Christians get busy.
- 19:56Mom on people.
- 19:57Here in America, nobody's ever prayed for me before.
- 20:01I know.
- 20:01People are around, they're hurting.
- 20:03You know, they can be smiling, and that smile will go to tears in an instant.
- 20:08Yes.
- 20:08In an instant, they have pain right under the facade.
- 20:12I was talking to one girl in a restaurant one day.
- 20:15We were in Colorado Springs, and we,
- 20:19Ask her if we could pray for her.
- 20:21And she said, oh, would you?
- 20:23She said, my fiancé died yesterday.
- 20:27You never know.
- 20:27You never know what's going on in somebody's life.
- 20:30And we said, why are you here?
- 20:31Well, she says, I've got to eat.
- 20:33I've got to work.
- 20:34She got to work.
- 20:35Can you imagine?
- 20:36She's back at work the next day.
- 20:37And the friend that was with me, she was a pastor's wife, and they took her in and just blessed her so abundantly that she would have never had, had we not asked her if we could pray for her.
- 20:50Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 20:51my only hesitation is talking about that is we have too many of you who know our message and you only do it with waiters and waitresses that's all you do I have some people come up and say oh yeah I did this waiter and this waiter how about the other 99% of your life you know you have a life you're surrounded all the time so love that you do it and we say that's the starter you can start it with waiters and waitresses but keep it
- 21:20do it with everybody else, I mean everybody.
- 21:24It's this idea of talking to one person a day, you know.
- 21:29Well, if you're gonna do that, then you won't, you'll never be able to pick out one.
- 21:32And one person, how do you pick one person out of all the people you're gonna be with today?
- 21:38And if you find that person at nine o'clock in the morning, are you off the clock the rest of the day?
- 21:44That means I'm already gonna be a,
- 21:46you know, a light to the world for a moment.
- 21:48I mean, no, that just...
- 21:50It's moved everybody.
- 21:51You're surrounded by people that are lost.
- 21:54And when you're loving everybody every day, you know what it's doing?
- 21:56It's just taking your joy.
- 21:57It makes it higher and higher and higher.
- 22:00You know how you...
- 22:01It's so incredible how you feel.
- 22:03after you've talked to somebody and there's a response.
- 22:07There's nothing like it.
- 22:08There's nothing like it.
- 22:10Every time, and a lot of you have done it once or twice.
- 22:13Try it every day.
- 22:14And you know that feeling.
- 22:15You could do this every day.
- 22:17All day long.
- 22:18Every day.
- 22:20Everybody who comes into your house, you know.
- 22:22They know what they're getting into when they come here.
- 22:24It's so easy.
- 22:24I was with George Barna yesterday, and he says less than 1% of people are actually doing it on a daily basis.
- 22:30Leave alone everybody every day.
- 22:33And the world is lost.
- 22:35And the rapture is coming.
- 22:36And we're running out of time.
- 22:40The world's waiting for us.
- 22:43They're not going to know they're going to stay lost.
- 22:46They are lost.
- 22:46They're going to stay lost unless we do something about that.
- 22:49Unless we tell them God loves them.
- 22:51So resolve today.
- 22:53Would you please at this moment, from this moment forward, if you'd like to have the joy we're having,
- 22:59Yes, the joy of the Lord is our strength.
- 23:01And bad things will happen to you.
- 23:03There's no question.
- 23:03Bad things happen.
- 23:04They happen.
- 23:06But you can keep smiling and having joy right on through them when you know that God's blessing you and using you and even using your pain.
- 23:14And he lets you go through it.
- 23:16Boy, does he ever.
- 23:18Wow, does he ever.
- 23:20Keeps you close to him.
- 23:22I guess I should not end this segment without talking about our Seeking God cards.
- 23:26You can get them off our website.
- 23:28But these cards are amazing, so we both carry them.
- 23:31Thousands of people around the United States are carrying them.
- 23:35And when you have these brief five-minute conversations, you say to them, Would you like to know more?
- 23:42Sounds like you'd like to know more about God.
- 23:43They'll always say yes.
- 23:45all these years, nobody's ever said no.
- 23:47They don't always say yes.
- 23:48They say yes.
- 23:48Well, they're excited to get it.
- 23:50I want that.
- 23:51And the Gen Zers, you really love the Gen Zers.
- 23:53They're our hope for tomorrow.
- 23:55I mean, they're really into it.
- 23:56They want to make a difference.
- 23:57And they take pictures of it because it's a QR code.
- 24:01And these cards are available to you.
- 24:02Go to our website.
- 24:04Shameless plug here.
- 24:05IgniteAmerica.com.
- 24:07Okay.
- 24:08Go there.
- 24:08It's a great website.
- 24:09But at the website, you can order these cards.
- 24:13There's no advertising.
- 24:14There's no request for money.
- 24:16There's no passwords.
- 24:18It's just immediate ministry.
- 24:20How do people get in sync with God?
- 24:22They're really wonderful.
- 24:23So we give these things out all the time.
- 24:24But it used to be you and me and Mike and Leslie and Katie.
- 24:28Now we've got thousands of people.
- 24:29Thousands of people.
- 24:30And pastors, these cards are available to you.
- 24:33And you can print your information on the back of that card.
- 24:36So that when they want to seek God, they start seeking God, they go to the back and here's the church they can go to.
- 24:42And that's available to you.
- 24:42Just go to our website, IgniteAmerica.com.
- 24:45Of course, we wrote a book.
- 24:46I wrote a book on our life.
- 24:48Yes.
- 24:48Ignite Your Life.
- 24:49Yes.
- 24:50We're ignited.
- 24:51Why didn't I say ignite our lives?
- 24:53I don't know.
- 24:53I missed it, I guess.
- 24:55No, it's for you.
- 24:56Ignite Your Life.
- 24:57Ignite Your Life.
- 24:58Yes.
- 24:59And you do that by moving everybody every day closer to Jesus.
- 25:04I mean, that's what life's all about.
- 25:07It'll change your life.
- 25:08And if you haven't done that, just think about this.
- 25:09It's a sobering thought, an exciting thought.
- 25:12When we get to heaven, the only thing that's going to matter is how many bottles of car wax you sold.
- 25:17Oh, no, it's not that, is it?
- 25:18No.
- 25:19The only thing that matters is how many people you helped across the street.
- 25:23The only thing that matters is how many days you went to church.
- 25:29The only thing, you get the point.
- 25:31No, no.
- 25:32The only thing that matters when you get to heaven is how many people, how many other people are going to be in heaven because of your influence?
- 25:39Souls.
- 25:39That's what you're after.
- 25:40Souls.
- 25:41Folks are running out of time.
- 25:43We're running out of time.
- 25:44We're going to talk about that a little more clearly in a future podcast.
- 25:47For the raptures, time for the raptures here.
- 25:51We have so little time.
- 25:55Don't lose this opportunity.
- 25:58Don't.
- 25:59Don't waste a moment.
- 26:01Can you imagine?
- 26:04A lot of all kinds of people that you talked to are there because you took the time to move them closer to Jesus.
- 26:10That's our call.
- 26:11Nothing else matters.
- 26:12Whatever you're doing today doesn't matter eternally.
- 26:16And you probably have a full day and lots of things to do.
- 26:18But in the midst of it, you know, in the midst of everything you're doing, you can move everybody you talk to today closer to Jesus.
- 26:25And it gets creative.
- 26:27It's fun.
- 26:27It is.
- 26:28You find ways to just work it into the conversation.
- 26:34It's a sport.
- 26:35It's a team sport.
- 26:37You're not responsible for leading anybody to the Lord.
- 26:39You're responsible for sharing.
- 26:41and leading, but you're not responsible for saving them, is my point, I should say.
- 26:46And it may take up to 20 times for any one person.
- 26:48You want to be at least one of those as really people as you can.
- 26:51And you may be the one lucky enough to lead them to the Lord.
- 26:54And that happens when that happens.
- 26:55Yes.
- 26:56And don't be the one.
- 26:59And I've had it.
- 27:01I've had it happen where they died before.
- 27:03I should have shared with them, but I didn't.
- 27:05And they died.
- 27:08And it's like the Watchman the Wall, that scripture, Watchman the Wall.
- 27:12He says, if you know the enemy is coming and you don't tell them and they die in their sins, that's on you.
- 27:17That's on you.
- 27:17Their blood is on your hands.
- 27:19That scripture is in the Bible.
- 27:20There's huge responsibility.
- 27:22Yes.
- 27:23But more importantly, there's huge joy.
- 27:25Because the top side of it is we cover everything.
- 27:30We cover all the law.
- 27:31We're satisfying all the law, not out of legalism.
- 27:33We don't pay attention to legalism.
- 27:36We just don't want to do anything that would separate them from God.
- 27:40Just love God and love your neighbor.
- 27:43Folks, if you're one of the majority of Christians that are going through life, you're saved, you're on your way to heaven, but you have no joy, you never think of sharing your faith, and yes, you've allowed things to come into your life that you probably wouldn't have done 10 years ago.
- 27:57And the way you dress and what you laugh at, what you talk about, the indulgences, the things you think you can get away with, you can.
- 28:07And you're in a grace, you're gonna go to heaven.
- 28:09Don't get me wrong, I'm not condemning anybody.
- 28:12I'm just saying, if you wanna lead people to Jesus, you wanna see Jesus through you.
- 28:18And so you ought to be as close to him as possible.
- 28:22Just having the smile.
- 28:23Isn't it crazy how many people come up and talk to you just because you're smiling?
- 28:27They want to talk to you.
- 28:30It's true.
- 28:30You know most Christians don't smile?
- 28:33When you're in church next time, look at the people walking into church.
- 28:37I was doing that the other day and I saw all these scowls.
- 28:40You know, just serious faith.
- 28:42They're walking into God's house to celebrate Him.
- 28:45They're a great message.
- 28:46And they're walking like it's the weight of the world.
- 28:48We should not be walking into church to be lifted up.
- 28:51We should be so lifted up.
- 28:52We're coming to church to God.
- 28:53Give God praise for what He's done for us this week and all the lives we touched, how He's used us for His glory.
- 29:00That's what life is all about.
- 29:01That is.
- 29:02That is.
- 29:03That's what our life is all about.
- 29:04That's what our life is about.
- 29:05That's what we do.
- 29:06Wow.
- 29:07Well, what do you do for a living?
- 29:08I sell Jesus.
- 29:10It is his business.
- 29:12We're about our father's business.
- 29:15Anyway, we're a testimony to God's favor, his grace, his love, and how he wants to use you, yes, you, to move everybody every day.
- 29:23It's so easy.
- 29:24Just try it.
- 29:25You want to have the time of your life for the rest of your life?
- 29:28Just lead people to Jesus.
- 29:30That's all it takes.
- 29:31That's all.
- 29:31And everything else falls into place.
- 29:34Thank you for watching.
- 29:36Thank you, babe.
- 29:37You're very welcome.
- 29:38This was fun.
