- 0:56Speaker 1: goes live this Friday.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Wednesday.
- 0:59Speaker 1: I got mine.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I beat one of y'all this week.
- 1:01Speaker 4: Actually the last three weeks I beat y'all.
- 1:05Speaker 2: What was your, what was your record?
- 1:07Speaker 4: This is my worst week. I was six of 10
- 1:09Speaker 4: last week. I was eight of 10 week before I
- 1:10Speaker 4: was seven of 10. So I'm searching for that 10
- 1:12Speaker 4: of 10.
- 1:12Speaker 1: What was a, uh, Jeremy club. Do you have the
- 1:15Speaker 1: standings of last week?
- 1:16Speaker 5: I don't have the results, but I have your picks.
- 1:17Speaker 5: If we want to go through a quick, we can
- 1:19Speaker 5: do that. Uh, you guys both had Nebraska seven. You
- 1:22Speaker 5: guys both.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Had Nebraska seven and a half. So that's a way.
- 1:24Speaker 4: I had that.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Uh, we'll head block.
- 1:27Speaker 5: Will had Missouri minus three and a half. You had
- 1:31Speaker 5: Texas A & M plus three and a half, Taylor.
- 1:33Speaker 5: So Will's two and O. North Carolina plus three and
- 1:35Speaker 5: a half for both of you.
- 1:36Speaker 3: So there we go.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Got a dub there.
- 1:38Speaker 5: Will had South Carolina plus 13 and a half. So
- 1:40Speaker 5: you are four in a row right now.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Oh my word. I'm cooking right now.
- 1:45Speaker 5: Then we had a little problem here with Texas eight
- 1:46Speaker 5: and a half for Will. Oklahoma eight and a half.
- 1:49Speaker 3: So Taylor, there you go. You made your ground back.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Both of you had Oregon minus 11 and a half.
- 1:54Speaker 5: Oh, shit.
- 1:54Speaker 3: That's not the best.
- 1:56Speaker 5: Taylor, you had Houston plus two and a half. Will,
- 1:59Speaker 5: you had Kansas State minus two and a half.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Light work with Houston.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Wegman.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Both of you.
- 2:03Speaker 5: Had LSU minus nine and a half, so that's an L.
- 2:06Speaker 5: You both had Penn State minus one and a half,
- 2:08Speaker 5: so that's an L, and then you both had Georgia.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I had Penn State. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I find it weird in my brain. I mean, it
- 2:13Speaker 1: must be because it's Monday and the week just happened,
- 2:15Speaker 1: but I feel really confident about USC in my brain
- 2:18Speaker 1: right now.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:19Speaker 1: As I would have last week this time.
- 2:21Speaker 2: It's interesting. Who do you feel confident about in the
- 2:24Speaker 2: Big Ten?
- 2:26Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, man. I don't know who Penn
- 2:28Speaker 1: State plays this week, but whoever they're playing, you got
- 2:30Speaker 1: to watch out for the wounded animal theory.
- 2:32Speaker 2: For sure.
- 2:33Speaker 1: A team that's ready to go in, hoping they're home
- 2:35Speaker 1: because maybe their fans gave up on them. But if
- 2:37Speaker 1: you're a team that's playing Penn State this week, buckle up.
- 2:40Speaker 2: We can find out right here.
- 2:41Speaker 1: You can find out who does Penn State play this week.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Oh, shit. Ooh.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Oh, God. Buckle up, boys. Ann Arbor, Michigan. It's a
- 2:52Speaker 2: dog fight coming in. It's an old fuck. We got
- 3:00Speaker 2: to get an L. All right. That's okay.
- 3:02Speaker 3: You like Penn State this week.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Hold on.
- 3:04Speaker 1: There's been a lot of talk about who the starting
- 3:05Speaker 1: quarterback's going to be. And I'm sure the coach came
- 3:08Speaker 1: out to do what it's going to be this week.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Who's it going to be, Klump? They are rolling with
- 3:12Speaker 1: Bryce Underwood.
- 3:12Speaker 4: All right.
- 3:13Speaker 2: We're rolling with Bryce. Come on, boys.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Hell of a bye week this past week. This is
- 3:18Speaker 1: the perfect week to have a bye week. If there
- 3:20Speaker 1: was any better week to have a bye week, it
- 3:21Speaker 1: would be this week because there's such a great slate
- 3:24Speaker 1: of college football in week seven. But to be able
- 3:26Speaker 1: to sit down and watch the games with my happiness
- 3:28Speaker 1: intact in my heart, even though it is hanging by
- 3:30Speaker 1: a thread at this point with the way the Michigan
- 3:32Speaker 1: Wolverines have been, it was nice to sit back and
- 3:35Speaker 1: enjoy ball.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Must win for both squads. Must win for both squads.
- 3:41Speaker 1: I will say. As I'm talking about my heartstrings holding
- 3:44Speaker 1: on by a thread, I look over at Will Compton.
- 3:48Speaker 1: And dude, I don't know if we want to get into,
- 3:51Speaker 1: do we want to get into it right away? I
- 3:54Speaker 1: have never, and I will just speak for me and
- 3:56Speaker 1: then everybody else who was at the game, you're more
- 3:58Speaker 1: than willing to chime in before we give the floor
- 4:00Speaker 1: to Will Compton because we know that'll be the bulk
- 4:02Speaker 1: of this conversation. I've never pulled for a team as
- 4:07Speaker 1: much as I did emotionally that wasn't mine to have
- 4:13Speaker 1: in my entire life than I did for the Nebraska
- 4:14Speaker 1: Cornhuskers this week. It felt like we went to war.
- 4:17Speaker 1: It felt like all of us were staying there, 10
- 4:19Speaker 1: toes down, all of us aligned, shields in hand, spears
- 4:23Speaker 1: in the other, ready to take on a giant, the
- 4:26Speaker 1: defending national champions. And boys, we, I will say we,
- 4:31Speaker 1: we were this close to pulling it off. Some of
- 4:35Speaker 1: the most incredible things to ever happen to Buster and
- 4:36Speaker 1: the boys happened during that game while kids were playing
- 4:39Speaker 1: while the infamous point took place. While they were able
- 4:42Speaker 1: to go up, the play calling by Hogerson, unbelievable. The
- 4:46Speaker 1: black shirts were flying around. Other than just a handful
- 4:51Speaker 1: of X plays, truly the Nebraska Cornhuskers looked like a
- 4:55Speaker 1: top 25 team to the point where I saw this
- 4:57Speaker 1: morning that they got like 60 some votes to be
- 5:00Speaker 1: in the top 25, even after a game like that,
- 5:02Speaker 1: which is the most they.
- 5:03Speaker 6: Got all year.
- 5:04Speaker 1: So as much as Nebraska feels the way they do,
- 5:09Speaker 1: My hope and optimism as a mercenary or an individual
- 5:12Speaker 1: that kind of came in, I feel really excited about
- 5:15Speaker 1: where Nebraska is headed. Boys, do you have anything before
- 5:20Speaker 1: we give it to Will?
- 5:21Speaker 5: One of the other cool things was when they went
- 5:23Speaker 5: to you before the game, I don't know how everyone
- 5:25Speaker 5: else felt, but. like the juice that you were bringing,
- 5:28Speaker 5: I was literally getting goosebumps as I was sitting there.
- 5:30Speaker 2: It was so sick.
- 5:32Speaker 5: And then you hit the go big red and I'm
- 5:35Speaker 5: not going to like say who's louder, who's not louder,
- 5:37Speaker 5: but it was probably one of the loudest pops I've
- 5:39Speaker 5: heard in a stadium.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Maybe ever. It was sick.
- 5:41Speaker 1: What was interesting too, was like right before that they
- 5:45Speaker 1: did lineups and clump, you and I were saying, Oh,
- 5:48Speaker 1: we're going to see who gets the most pop. Kalanji
- 5:49Speaker 1: got the most pop, but it really wasn't, there wasn't
- 5:52Speaker 1: like a, this is our guy kind of thing by
- 5:55Speaker 1: like 90,000, 90 screaming fans, 90,000 fans. Then some guy
- 5:59Speaker 1: comes up. No disrespect to this individual that was doing
- 6:01Speaker 1: the pregame speech. I don't know. Who is this guy?
- 6:05Speaker 3: Eric Crouch.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Oh, you're talking about the Eric Crouch video? That's it.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Some guy. He's a trophy winner. Okay.
- 6:14Speaker 1: That's a younger cat that was walking around the stadium?
- 6:16Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. That's a Heisman Trophy winner. Yeah. All right.
- 6:20Speaker 1: If it was a dog on the field, I would
- 6:22Speaker 1: say stage presence-wise, it wasn't what I was getting from
- 6:24Speaker 1: Will Compton. It wasn't juice. I wasn't feeling the juice.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I'm with you on that.
- 6:28Speaker 1: And the fans also, if that's Eric Crouch, we're going
- 6:30Speaker 1: to giggle and laugh at Taylor. The fan base, too,
- 6:33Speaker 1: was also like, oh, yeah, Eric Crouch is here.
- 6:35Speaker 2: All right, Eric, very cool.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Will Compton comes on the screen. Before he even says
- 6:38Speaker 1: a word, the fans start losing their minds. Okay? So
- 6:42Speaker 1: what has more weighted value in this world? Living and
- 6:45Speaker 1: dying by your team or a piece of metal? And
- 6:48Speaker 1: as it stands with me and the Nebraska Cornhuskers, it
- 6:50Speaker 1: seems like an individual that lives and dies with his team.
- 6:52Speaker 1: When he hits the go big red, you're right, dude.
- 6:54Speaker 1: That pop was incredible. Then it goes right to will.
- 6:56Speaker 1: And if there could be more of a pop, it
- 6:58Speaker 1: would even higher.
- 6:59Speaker 2: It was sick. There's a lot to be proud of.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Goosebumps on the legs even.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Like it was like a full like, holy shit, this
- 7:06Speaker 2: is unreal. The Husker Nation was ready to fucking go
- 7:08Speaker 2: on Saturday. They were ready to go. Like I was
- 7:11Speaker 2: even taken back because I'm sitting there, either Cody, whoever,
- 7:15Speaker 2: whoever had like their kind of their first experiences. And
- 7:18Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm ready to see this first third down.
- 7:20Speaker 2: And honestly, every down defensively, 90,000 was on their feet.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Like loud the entire game. It was incredible. You talk
- 7:30Speaker 2: about shields and everything else. Like everybody was so fucking
- 7:33Speaker 2: ready and dialed in for that game. You felt it.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Nebraska took the fight to Indiana. It sucked. What sucks
- 7:42Speaker 2: is the last 10 years. It's the last 10 year thing.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Cause it felt like that day was, that was going
- 7:47Speaker 2: to be the day.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Right.
- 7:50Speaker 2: And so I get the pain that ensued when it didn't.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Go our way. Like Calandria, the stat line, the performance
- 7:57Speaker 2: after the point. People are talking, hey, after the point happened,
- 8:01Speaker 2: that might have been the curse that took them down. Yeah,
- 8:02Speaker 2: the Willie C curse. Nebraska, they have a lot to
- 8:07Speaker 2: be fired up about. I watched every snap last night.
- 8:11Speaker 2: I held a Nebraska fans only meeting last night at
- 8:14Speaker 2: about 11 p.m. Is that the post you made? On Instagram, yeah,
- 8:17Speaker 2: on Instagram and X.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Out of respect for you, by the way, I did
- 8:20Speaker 1: not watch that. It said Nebraska, I was like, all right,
- 8:23Speaker 1: this is them.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Appreciate that. This is for them.
- 8:25Speaker 1: So I actually didn't even watch the clip.
- 8:27Speaker 2: There are people commenting, I'm like, I don't know why,
- 8:29Speaker 2: like this is for Nebraska fans only. But dude, we
- 8:32Speaker 2: have so much to be fired up about. It's truly like,
- 8:36Speaker 2: it's the 10 year ghost. it's the 10 year curse
- 8:40Speaker 2: thing that just has us, has us a little bit down,
- 8:43Speaker 2: but man, we are, we're this fucking close. Like I
- 8:46Speaker 2: was talking about, here's how I separated it. Like we
- 8:49Speaker 2: were five and one, we were this record last year,
- 8:51Speaker 2: but we were more of like a pig with lipstick.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Like we had glaring vulnerabilities, stopping the run. Uh, we
- 8:58Speaker 2: had glaring vulnerabilities, uh, on the line of scrimmage pass protection.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Like we had all of those things and we were
- 9:04Speaker 2: kind of just like, a big loss and a sputter
- 9:07Speaker 2: waiting to happen. For this game right here being 5-1,
- 9:11Speaker 2: we just simply lost in the details over the weekend.
- 9:14Speaker 2: You lose four X plays, about 200 yards, two plays
- 9:17Speaker 2: there in the fourth quarter, the fourth and one, and
- 9:20Speaker 2: then the marsh play, the slant that went to the
- 9:23Speaker 2: house right after the Calandria point. Um, we, we simply
- 9:27Speaker 2: lost in the details. We haven't been in this spot
- 9:29Speaker 2: where it's like, you, you look at the totality or
- 9:32Speaker 2: we're in a position where do we are competing in
- 9:35Speaker 2: the details? Like that is why Indiana was a national
- 9:38Speaker 2: champion last year. Like they win in those little elements
- 9:42Speaker 2: when you're battle tested, when things just aren't They aren't
- 9:44Speaker 2: going your way throughout the entire game because we played
- 9:46Speaker 2: well defensively. We are moving the ball on them offensively.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Like you look at our third down percentage on offense,
- 9:53Speaker 2: you look at their third down percentage on offense. Uh,
- 9:55Speaker 2: they weren't playing well, but when they needed to make
- 9:58Speaker 2: those plays and get out of those situations, like they
- 10:00Speaker 2: were able to, they played in a way to where
- 10:02Speaker 2: they didn't fully beat themselves at all times. Um, and
- 10:06Speaker 2: those are the details that when you, a fucking national title,
- 10:11Speaker 2: but you know, it's like, this game is big coming
- 10:13Speaker 2: up this weekend. Now you're You have that entire emotional dump.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Like we went, we walked down the tunnel after the
- 10:19Speaker 2: game and dude, you just felt the disappointment because we
- 10:24Speaker 2: knew that game was ours to win. Coaches just, you
- 10:27Speaker 2: heard the fuck, fuck, fuck. the old buddy walking up
- 10:30Speaker 2: after people just quiet. Like we know what, we knew
- 10:33Speaker 2: what just happened in that game. Like we, we pissed
- 10:35Speaker 2: down our leg. Like those couple plays bit us in
- 10:38Speaker 2: the ass. There's plays offensively. Like as well as we
- 10:41Speaker 2: felt like Calandra in this offense played, there are plays
- 10:43Speaker 2: offensively that I know players and coaches they're awake at
- 10:47Speaker 2: night because there was missed opportunities, especially even late in
- 10:51Speaker 2: the game. Like when Calandra's kind of forcing the ball
- 10:54Speaker 2: downfield where you just take some of the, you take
- 10:57Speaker 2: some of the plays underneath. This one against Oregon, like Oregon,
- 11:00Speaker 2: you talk about a wounded animal, like they are in
- 11:03Speaker 2: must win mode. And now you got to go out
- 11:05Speaker 2: to Eugene. 10 p.m. Central time game, late game, like
- 11:11Speaker 2: you got to stay up. You got to keep swinging
- 11:13Speaker 2: because this team that just competed against Indiana, this is
- 11:16Speaker 2: a team that can compete to be back in Indianapolis
- 11:20Speaker 2: this year. Like that might sound like that could be
- 11:22Speaker 2: a Willie delusional. I'm just saying what what I've witnessed
- 11:25Speaker 2: with this team this year, like we don't have those
- 11:27Speaker 2: deficiencies that we have had in the years past. to
- 11:30Speaker 2: where the potential is there. It's just, can you get up?
- 11:32Speaker 2: Can you block out the noise, all that tenure bullshit
- 11:35Speaker 2: that's going on? Because that's all I think about is
- 11:39Speaker 2: you lose an emotional game like that. You can't let
- 11:41Speaker 2: that loss turn it into two, three, four. And you
- 11:43Speaker 2: kind of just sputter like we have in the past.
- 11:46Speaker 2: You got to fucking get back up and you got
- 11:47Speaker 2: to get back to work. I feel like we have
- 11:49Speaker 2: the team to do that. So that's kind of like
- 11:51Speaker 2: where I'm at mentally. I'm fired up. I think Nebraska
- 11:54Speaker 2: should be fired up about this team, but you just
- 11:56Speaker 2: know it's all the fucking They can't get it done.
- 11:59Speaker 2: 0-30 something in the last however many years, 10 years
- 12:02Speaker 2: in ranked games.
- 12:03Speaker 1: It truly, you guys played so well. At some points,
- 12:07Speaker 1: almost you guys knew what Indiana was going to do
- 12:09Speaker 1: before Indiana even snapped the ball. That's how impressive that
- 12:12Speaker 1: defense was playing at certain points other than the X plays.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Was it like fourth? What was the last play? the
- 12:17Speaker 1: fourth and whatever that we were kind of on the
- 12:19Speaker 1: side with that receiver. It seemed like a catchable ball
- 12:22Speaker 1: from our vantage point when you watched the film.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Was that? You talking about quasi? I believe so.
- 12:26Speaker 1: On the fourth and 10, that was kind of in
- 12:27Speaker 1: the middle of the fourth quarter. Yeah, it was the
- 12:28Speaker 1: end of the game, fourth quarter. I think it was
- 12:30Speaker 1: when you guys went for it when we were kind
- 12:31Speaker 1: of like, why are we going for it here?
- 12:32Speaker 2: Yeah, why are we going for it instead of punting
- 12:34Speaker 2: the ball? I was asking about that. They talked about
- 12:36Speaker 2: the analytics to, that's why you, like I don't care
- 12:39Speaker 2: about the math there. I'm kind of thinking, fuck it.
- 12:40Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:41Speaker 2: I felt like you should have punted it.
- 12:42Speaker 1: That play clearly didn't hurt you guys because you guys
- 12:44Speaker 1: went and got a stop, had a punt anyway, but.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Was that a catchable ball? Did that seem like it was?
- 12:48Speaker 2: I feel like Quasi could have went after that ball. Okay.
- 12:51Speaker 2: All right. A little bit.
- 12:53Speaker 6: Are you talking about the ball where he got flipped?
- 12:56Speaker 2: No, that was the play right before. So it was
- 12:59Speaker 2: third and 10, he was coming over. He's got an
- 13:02Speaker 2: opportunity to catch the ball. He drops it before he
- 13:04Speaker 2: kind of gets hit. Yeah. You're like, fuck, you got
- 13:07Speaker 2: to make it. that's a play like that needs to
- 13:09Speaker 2: be made.
- 13:10Speaker 1: It's one of those ones, like if you're a receiver
- 13:12Speaker 1: going over the middle, you know, you're going to get hit.
- 13:14Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 13:15Speaker 1: And it's like, that's the difference sometimes in receivers is like,
- 13:18Speaker 1: you know, it's going to happen. You might as well
- 13:20Speaker 1: get the best results you can out of whatever punishments
- 13:22Speaker 1: you're going to take place from the body.
- 13:23Speaker 2: And he took the punishment.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:25Speaker 2: He just, he kind of dropped it before he got hit.
- 13:28Speaker 2: And then the next play, when they kind of went
- 13:29Speaker 2: scramble drill, Calandria lost it in a spot to where
- 13:33Speaker 2: I feel like quasi could go after it. The DB
- 13:36Speaker 2: is the corners kind of screaming like downfield up at him.
- 13:39Speaker 2: I don't know if that was like in his head.
- 13:40Speaker 2: It's like a shot he took right before, um, even
- 13:44Speaker 2: the last couple. Cause there, there was again, what sucks
- 13:49Speaker 2: is they got after us a couple times on three
- 13:52Speaker 2: man pressure. when they were, dude, there was, the op
- 13:56Speaker 2: was there, downfield. And then that fourth down, he was
- 13:59Speaker 2: either third down or fourth down when Jacory's coming over
- 14:02Speaker 2: the middle. Calandra tries forcing it downfield, I think in
- 14:04Speaker 2: the double coverage. When Jacory is just screaming, like it's,
- 14:08Speaker 2: he would have had nothing but green grass to at
- 14:10Speaker 2: least get in field goal range during that last drive.
- 14:13Speaker 2: So we even still had an opportunity there at the end. It, dude,
- 14:15Speaker 2: it just, that one ends the way it does. And
- 14:17Speaker 2: you're just like, fuck.
- 14:19Speaker 1: I know. There's so much like, You bring up the
- 14:22Speaker 1: last 10 years and the 0-30 and top 25 games,
- 14:25Speaker 1: and as much as like, hey, every year is a
- 14:27Speaker 1: new year, new culture, this coach, he wasn't here for
- 14:30Speaker 1: the last 10 years, this is his fourth year, all
- 14:32Speaker 1: the things. But dude, when you guys go down and score,
- 14:35Speaker 1: and Calandria has that Johnny Manziel-esque run where he winds
- 14:39Speaker 1: it back and points at you and scores in a
- 14:41Speaker 1: touchdown and goes to celebrate with you, but his teammates
- 14:43Speaker 1: kind of stop him. How lively that stadium was, where
- 14:47Speaker 1: it was like, It felt like, oh, finally. Oh, finally, Nebraska.
- 14:51Speaker 1: We're finally going to get over the hump. That's been
- 14:54Speaker 1: haunting us for so long. And then for the very
- 14:56Speaker 1: next offensive play on Indiana, for there to be that
- 14:59Speaker 1: RPO quick slant to Nick Marsh over the middle, 75 touchdown.
- 15:05Speaker 1: At that point, it felt like all 10 years of
- 15:09Speaker 1: 0-30 against top 25 teams was.
- 15:12Speaker 1: As heavy as it's ever been on that stadium. Because
- 15:15Speaker 1: I remember looking at you.
- 15:16Speaker 2: It got quiet. It got quiet.
- 15:17Speaker 1: It got quiet like, oh fuck, this is going to
- 15:19Speaker 1: happen again. It was like, it's a beaten dog. Like, oh,
- 15:23Speaker 1: here we go again. This is going to take place.
- 15:25Speaker 1: And I look at you and you have that look
- 15:28Speaker 1: on your face like, oh fuck, it's going to happen again.
- 15:30Speaker 1: To where I, when I said to you, I was like, hey,
- 15:33Speaker 1: you guys are in the same position you were before
- 15:35Speaker 1: those last two drives. There's more time has gone off
- 15:36Speaker 1: the clock. Like we're okay. It's all good. I'm looking
- 15:39Speaker 1: at club. I'm like, Hey, we're good.
- 15:41Speaker 2: The look on my face was that can't happen. That
- 15:44Speaker 2: can't happen right now.
- 15:46Speaker 3: The only thing that couldn't happen.
- 15:47Speaker 1: The only thing like let them, let them like drove
- 15:49Speaker 1: down the field, drove to the field, take five, six
- 15:52Speaker 1: minutes off the clock. And it's like, okay, now we're
- 15:53Speaker 1: in four minute. And what I've seen from that offensive
- 15:56Speaker 1: line is hell. Like you're like, Perimeter plays were winning
- 16:00Speaker 1: the game. The perimeter runs were everything. But there were
- 16:05Speaker 1: a few, a handful of times it was between the tackles.
- 16:07Speaker 1: It's good on good, muscle versus muscle. And Nebraska was
- 16:11Speaker 1: winning the line of scrimmage. So you kind of go
- 16:13Speaker 1: in there with a four minute, like, oh, I feel
- 16:15Speaker 1: good about the Huskers right now in this position. This
- 16:17Speaker 1: rule kid's pretty incredible. 6.7 after contact, all the things.
- 16:21Speaker 1: And for it to go down like that, man, just suck.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Because the stat line you just put up, Sherm, is not,
- 16:27Speaker 1: at all what happened in this game. Like, Indiana was
- 16:30Speaker 1: one for 10 on third downs.
- 16:31Speaker 2: My man, that, that, that.
- 16:33Speaker 1: And you look at Mars, he's got six receptions for
- 16:35Speaker 1: 187 and two yards. You got, uh, uh, Hoover, he's
- 16:40Speaker 1: got 287, two touchdowns, 12 for 22. Like, those things,
- 16:43Speaker 1: it's like, that, that, those stat lines, that's why stats
- 16:47Speaker 1: are liars. That did not tell the story of the game.
- 16:49Speaker 1: How much that Nebraska controlled this football game inside and
- 16:52Speaker 1: out throughout the totality.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I feel like every college football fan was tapped into
- 16:56Speaker 2: that game. was witnessing the same things we were witnessing.
- 16:59Speaker 2: And it's almost just like, oh, fuck, it happened to
- 17:01Speaker 2: the boys again. 80-something plays to like, we like doubled
- 17:06Speaker 2: their play rate. What did they have, 44?
- 17:08Speaker 8: Yeah, Indiana only had 44 plays, didn't even have 20
- 17:11Speaker 8: minutes of possession.
- 17:12Speaker 2: And you guys had over 80. All 90,000, including the
- 17:16Speaker 2: team like that, was right there. It felt like we
- 17:19Speaker 2: left everything on the field for that game. Like we
- 17:21Speaker 2: were exhausted after the game. We did everything we possibly could.
- 17:25Speaker 2: We're in Nebraska's tight end. What was his stats?
- 17:28Speaker 3: He's awesome.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Luke?
- 17:29Speaker 2: Yeah, dude.
- 17:30Speaker 3: I don't know if his stats were good, but he's
- 17:32Speaker 3: got some juice.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I like him.
- 17:33Speaker 1: He's got juice for sure.
- 17:34Speaker 3: He's awesome.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Let me see it.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Yeah. Luke, seven for 45, 6.4.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Seven catches, though?
- 17:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:42Speaker 1: He had some big first down catches. Dude, he was
- 17:44Speaker 1: the perfect outlet. He was the perfect outlet. Because Calandra,
- 17:49Speaker 1: if Calandra can figure out just processing a defense and
- 17:52Speaker 1: feeling comfortable in a pocket, that's a special boy right there.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Because he's got all the orange juice when we're walking
- 17:59Speaker 1: up the tunnel. He's coming out of the tunnel and
- 18:01Speaker 1: I just hear, whoa, yeah! And I'm like, oh shit.
- 18:03Speaker 1: He's like, where's Will? I'm like, he's down there somewhere. Like, hey,
- 18:06Speaker 1: I had this fucking kid away from me. I didn't
- 18:07Speaker 1: even know it was Calandria. What the hell is going on?
- 18:09Speaker 1: And as he's walking away, I see Ted. I'm like, oh,
- 18:12Speaker 1: that kid's got some fucking juice. And we got 90
- 18:13Speaker 1: minutes before this game starts. And I walked over to
- 18:16Speaker 1: Indiana sideline to watch them warm up. No one smiled.
- 18:20Speaker 1: There was not a human being that smiled. No one
- 18:23Speaker 1: was getting raw, raw, no juice. I go up to
- 18:25Speaker 1: the defensive line coach, by the way, great physique on
- 18:27Speaker 1: the defensive line coach. And I go, hey, you guys,
- 18:30Speaker 1: is it always like this in your warmups? You guys
- 18:32Speaker 1: don't like get hyped up or nothing? He goes, you
- 18:34Speaker 1: never win the warmups. I'm like, oh shit. And he's
- 18:39Speaker 1: like in this, we'll just call it a character. It's
- 18:41Speaker 1: probably who he is, but he breaks it just so
- 18:42Speaker 1: much to go, big fan of your guys' show, by
- 18:44Speaker 1: the way, and then walks away. And I'm like, holy shit, like-
- 18:48Speaker 1: These guys mean fucking business. And I look over the
- 18:51Speaker 1: minute that's happening and I see like four Nebraska Husker
- 18:54Speaker 1: fans like doing the newest TikTok dance. And I'm like,
- 18:57Speaker 1: oh my God, we might be in for a bloodbath today.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Sure enough, dude, juice was going. The juice played up
- 19:04Speaker 1: until the end.
- 19:05Speaker 2: We interrupt this episode to talk about the older one gets,
- 19:07Speaker 2: the more it becomes clear that sex is about quality,

- 20:14Speaker 5: Speaking of Indiana coaches, you guys want to talk about
- 20:17Speaker 5: meeting Sig, how that went?
- 20:19Speaker 1: It went how you thought it would. Yeah, it went
- 20:21Speaker 1: exactly how you thought it would. Saw him. I think
- 20:24Speaker 1: you pointed him out.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:25Speaker 1: You're like, oh, Sig's right over there. I was like, oh,
- 20:26Speaker 1: I'm going to introduce myself. Walked up to him, shook
- 20:29Speaker 1: his hand.
- 20:29Speaker 2: He hit you with the Mike Evans.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Like, oh, what's your name? Yeah, he did. And it
- 20:33Speaker 1: hurt the minute it was happening to you. I was like, hey,
- 20:34Speaker 1: good to meet you. My name is Terrell LeJuan. Blah, blah, blah.
- 20:37Speaker 1: And he's like, oh, nice. And he goes, what's your
- 20:39Speaker 1: name again? Grabs my lanyard, looks at it.
- 20:42Speaker 3: I panic.
- 20:42Speaker 2: I go.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Do a show with Will Compton and Josh Pate. I
- 20:45Speaker 1: just want to say I love what you've been able
- 20:47Speaker 1: to do. And then that's when Will comes up and
- 20:48Speaker 1: I'm thinking to myself, thank God I have reinforcements here
- 20:50Speaker 1: because I'm not handling this first impression well.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Say welcome to Nebraska.
- 20:53Speaker 1: And I'm thinking, I got to get this gun out.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I got to get this gun out. Who's going to
- 20:56Speaker 1: pull the trigger first? and he fucking blasts my ass, dude.
- 20:59Speaker 1: He gets me in a walk, boom, there it is
- 21:02Speaker 1: right there.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Got me. You see I hit him with the squirt
- 21:04Speaker 2: gun afterwards.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Yeah, go back, go back.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Let him get out of my vision.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Look at me, I'm smiling, there's pain in those eyes, dude.
- 21:09Speaker 1: There's so much pain in my eyes right there.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Did he end with a cool to you? Is that
- 21:13Speaker 3: what he said to you?
- 21:14Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Cool, cool.
- 21:16Speaker 1: It was all body bag central. All body bag. Here
- 21:20Speaker 1: comes the gun, bang, there's the shot. Will Compton sees it,
- 21:24Speaker 1: look at Will's eyes. You can zoom in on those
- 21:26Speaker 1: eyes a little bit, you can see.
- 21:28Speaker 6: You don't get my boy like that in Wilcox.
- 21:30Speaker 2: You're not going to do that.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Okay, here's where Will made a mistake. If we're watching
- 21:34Speaker 1: the film back, you got to pull the gun out
- 21:36Speaker 1: right there.
- 21:37Speaker 7: You have to.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Okay?
- 21:38Speaker 1: Because I just took.
- 21:39Speaker 2: One in the gut.
- 21:40Speaker 3: I just took one.
- 21:41Speaker 1: I'm bleeding out in the corner. He's not really going
- 21:42Speaker 1: to be able to save me at this point. Best
- 21:44Speaker 1: you can do is avenge me. Go ahead and play
- 21:46Speaker 1: it for just a second.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Bang.
- 21:49Speaker 1: That's my hand.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Hold on. Go a little longer. Bam! Right there. Will goes.
- 21:54Speaker 2: I can't even look at him. Tries to hit him
- 21:56Speaker 2: in the back.
- 21:57Speaker 1: I don't have the balls, Steven.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Tries to get sick in the back. I'm bleeding out.
- 22:00Speaker 1: I don't even see that.
- 22:02Speaker 2: You see my eyes. I'm blinking.
- 22:03Speaker 1: I'm looking at the camera going, yeah, I'm a dead
- 22:05Speaker 1: body right now. I'm no longer with us on this earth.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Will's trying his best, but he just saw his boy
- 22:11Speaker 1: get killed like that.
- 22:13Speaker 2: You can't blame him.
- 22:14Speaker 1: And he gets a ricochet shot. Some poor soul in
- 22:17Speaker 1: the corner, some ball boy just got killed. And look
- 22:20Speaker 1: at Will's face. He's like, he knows right there he missed.
- 22:23Speaker 1: He knows right there that he missed. Cowardice by me.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I couldn't even, I didn't have the stones. I didn't
- 22:30Speaker 1: have the stones to even look at him.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Let me try and sneak this one in there.
- 22:32Speaker 1: And we can go back in time. And we think
- 22:35Speaker 1: about how we talked about in the locker room, how
- 22:37Speaker 1: Sig sees everything. I think, was it Josh or you
- 22:40Speaker 1: that has a reference of like the- Josh was.
- 22:43Speaker 2: I was trying to say I'm not giving any rat
- 22:45Speaker 2: poison because I don't want the digital team to be
- 22:46Speaker 2: able to turn around. And then Josh was stamping it
- 22:49Speaker 2: by they do see everything. They do see everything. The
- 22:51Speaker 2: digital team came up to me pregame, introduced himself. And
- 22:55Speaker 2: he was like, I was laughing because you was talking
- 22:57Speaker 2: about not giving me the rap voice. So the digital
- 22:59Speaker 2: team couldn't turn it around. I was like, I appreciate
- 23:01Speaker 2: you seeing that. He was phenomenal, by the way.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Yeah, they're all a great team.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Great people.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I remember us saying like, we need to get sick.
- 23:09Speaker 1: We need to gun him before he guns us in that.
- 23:12Speaker 1: And I can't help. I can't help but feel like
- 23:15Speaker 1: he knew and he gunned my ass. The digital team said, hey,
- 23:20Speaker 1: your honor.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Just make sure you throw the finger at him.
- 23:22Speaker 1: The team goes, your honor, Wilcompton gave us nothing, but
- 23:24Speaker 1: I do want you to know if they come across you,
- 23:26Speaker 1: there will be guns pointed. I suggest you get the
- 23:27Speaker 1: gun out first. And he went, gotcha. And sure enough,
- 23:33Speaker 1: I'm dead.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Hopefully we see him again soon.
- 23:35Speaker 1: So multiple L's.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Could have seen a preview.
- 23:38Speaker 6: If he's watching right now, let us know in the
- 23:40Speaker 6: comments if you knew Cignetti.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I would love an opportunity for Cignetti to be on
- 23:45Speaker 1: either Bustin' with the Boys, The Locker Room, Bustin' and
- 23:47Speaker 1: Pain on Campus, any of them, right? And I would
- 23:50Speaker 1: love to just have another shot. to put a gun
- 23:54Speaker 1: in his face.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Respectfully, respectfully, not like a discipline.
- 23:57Speaker 1: No, no, no, like figuratively point the gun at him. Hey,
- 24:01Speaker 1: how you doing? And I just see how frustrated he gets.
- 24:03Speaker 1: And I love for us to interview him. And every
- 24:05Speaker 1: question we have, he rates it in one to 10
- 24:07Speaker 1: before he answers the question. I think that'd be a
- 24:09Speaker 1: fun little spin. It'd be a fun little spin.
- 24:12Speaker 2: We could get the D coordinator on. Yeah. He could be.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I'm going to know right now. I met him too.
- 24:18Speaker 1: You know, that dude's resting heart rate was 43 the
- 24:21Speaker 1: whole time before the game.
- 24:22Speaker 2: He was not, he didn't, he didn't care about it.
- 24:24Speaker 2: He knows a stud is 97 on their line of
- 24:27Speaker 2: scrimmage on their defensive line. Go ball player. Oh yeah. He,
- 24:31Speaker 2: he was, he was putting some hands on boys on Saturday.
- 24:34Speaker 3: You see the one that got hurt last year or
- 24:36Speaker 3: two years ago against Ohio state. No, he had two sacks.
- 24:39Speaker 3: That kid.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Kill what says, says the graveyard in the corner. Um,
- 24:45Speaker 1: More news. Three teams in the SEC, top 10 teams,
- 24:51Speaker 1: lost this past weekend. It was incredible. It was an
- 24:54Speaker 1: incredible series of events that took place. South Carolina Gamecocks
- 24:57Speaker 1: take down the Florida Gators. Florida Gators were once referenced
- 25:00Speaker 1: to just two weeks ago, just a mere 14 days ago,
- 25:03Speaker 1: as possibly being the 2019 LSU Tigers. That seems like
- 25:06Speaker 1: that has come and gone at this point. Shout out Summerall.
- 25:10Speaker 1: in his post game, he's telling everybody, Hey, everyone's telling
- 25:13Speaker 1: us we arrived. I think we have now, we can
- 25:15Speaker 1: all agree that we've been exposed.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Yeah. I, I did. I appreciated him even talking to,
- 25:19Speaker 2: he's like, even when we're, even when we were, when
- 25:22Speaker 2: we were winning and had that great win against Ole Miss,
- 25:24Speaker 2: he's like, there were some things that I was aware
- 25:26Speaker 2: that you're seeing that the moment you start getting patted
- 25:28Speaker 2: on the ass about it, like we had some of
- 25:30Speaker 2: these vulnerabilities and exposures, like that just hadn't gotten exposed yet.
- 25:34Speaker 2: And now you've seen it after a couple of weeks.
- 25:36Speaker 2: I actually, I did. I have a question for you.
- 25:38Speaker 2: This could be a fun exercise. Bama lost, LSU lost
- 25:41Speaker 2: in OT, Florida lost to South Carolina. And then let's
- 25:47Speaker 2: also throw in Tennessee surviving against Arkansas. And then Mizzou
- 25:52Speaker 2: is a one loss team right now. Out of those five-
- 25:55Speaker 2: Did we even bring up Texas, Oklahoma? Oh yeah, Texas.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Texas losing to Oklahoma. That's a good one as well.
- 26:00Speaker 2: So you got six teams there. Which of those teams
- 26:02Speaker 2: would you say is on fraud alert?
- 26:07Speaker 1: Those six teams. Is the ones that.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Won- There's a mix of losing and winning in there.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Okay, let's do a little process. So if I'm looking
- 26:16Speaker 1: at Georgia- Do you think Bama's on fraud alert losing
- 26:18Speaker 1: to Georgia? No, I think Alabama proved that they are
- 26:23Speaker 1: one of the top dogs in the SEC. They ran
- 26:25Speaker 1: the ball effectively. Keelan Russell had himself a decent game.
- 26:27Speaker 1: There were some hiccups here and there, but there's multiple
- 26:29Speaker 1: calls in that game as well that If they go
- 26:32Speaker 1: the other way, if Gunnar Stockson's interception that was called
- 26:35Speaker 1: an interception on the field then overturned was actually an interception,
- 26:38Speaker 1: I think we're looking at an Alabama W and a
- 26:40Speaker 1: Georgia loss right now because that was in the high
- 26:43Speaker 1: red or in that fringe area on the Georgia side
- 26:46Speaker 1: of the ball. So they come away with points there.
- 26:48Speaker 2: I agree. Yeah, Bama's a top 10 team. They're good.
- 26:51Speaker 1: To me, just to put it in a nutshell of
- 26:53Speaker 1: all this, I see Georgia and Alabama in the SEC
- 26:55Speaker 1: championship again after what was just displayed on Saturday night.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Both teams extremely well coached. Both teams played very well.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Georgia just happened to have the chalk glass, and that's
- 27:04Speaker 1: the reason why they win the game.
- 27:05Speaker 2: You know?
- 27:06Speaker 1: Gunner Stockton, also incredible. Kentucky, like, what's the conversation? Like,
- 27:10Speaker 1: LSU is clearly... in my brain, on Fraud Alert. This
- 27:14Speaker 1: is their worst start since 2023. Everyone's all on Lane Kiffin.
- 27:18Speaker 1: They love him to death. What happens against Clemson happens,
- 27:20Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, you drop one to Ole Miss,
- 27:23Speaker 1: you drop one to Kentucky. There's a lot of weird
- 27:25Speaker 1: things that take place in that game, too, that is
- 27:29Speaker 1: kind of leaving my brain at this moment, but got
- 27:31Speaker 1: to give a lot of credit to Kentucky. Do I
- 27:33Speaker 1: think they are contenders in the SEC? No, but I
- 27:36Speaker 1: think that's like everyone in Kentucky is like, we made
- 27:39Speaker 1: a hell of a hire with Will Stein. We felt
- 27:41Speaker 1: fired up about that.
- 27:42Speaker 2: I think LSU is, you know how A & M
- 27:45Speaker 2: last year, I think LSU is this year's Texas A &
- 27:48Speaker 2: M team.
- 27:49Speaker 1: The only problem with that analogy is that A &
- 27:51Speaker 1: M didn't get exposed because they were undefeated and they
- 27:54Speaker 1: played Texas at the end of the year.
- 27:55Speaker 2: I'm saying every A & M game last year, they
- 27:57Speaker 2: lost to any SEC team that had a winning record
- 28:01Speaker 2: in the SEC. but every team that was below 500,
- 28:04Speaker 2: they took care of and beat. Yeah. Because LSU, it's like,
- 28:07Speaker 2: you look at the couple wins that they do have,
- 28:09Speaker 2: it's like, what are their wins this year? It's Clemson
- 28:11Speaker 2: and A & M?
- 28:12Speaker 1: Yeah. Who does LSU play this week? I think it's...
- 28:22Speaker 1: Mississippi State. Mississippi State. I mean, it's in Baton Rouge.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a great matchup. This is one where.
- 28:30Speaker 2: This could determine either of their seasons. Right, right.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Because it's like both those teams are in that fringe. Like,
- 28:37Speaker 1: are you a team that's taking the next step or
- 28:39Speaker 1: are you a team that's going to falter and fall
- 28:41Speaker 1: into the abyss of what is the SEC? Like, that
- 28:45Speaker 1: is going to be an electric atmosphere.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Mississippi State coming off of a bye after getting...
- 28:50Speaker 2: They're asked to be by Alabama. Yeah. But Mississippi State, yeah,
- 28:53Speaker 2: I would put them both in the same category.
- 28:55Speaker 1: And the way like Kenny Minchie and the rest of
- 28:58Speaker 1: that Kentucky offense handled LSU to put 35 points on them,
- 29:01Speaker 1: like you got to assume Kamario Taylor and that speed
- 29:04Speaker 1: on the perimeter is going to be able to put
- 29:05Speaker 1: up some points. So can Sam Levitt. And they're without
- 29:11Speaker 1: Tredez Green, correct? Yeah, he's done for the season. I'm
- 29:16Speaker 1: looking at Cody and I'm looking at Klump.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Allegedly.
- 29:19Speaker 3: He might be back, right?
- 29:20Speaker 2: Okay. I don't know.
- 29:21Speaker 1: I don't know. We can definitely find that out. But
- 29:23Speaker 1: that's a very, very interesting game. Kind of give you
- 29:26Speaker 1: the feeling that just talking about it on Monday, not
- 29:29Speaker 1: looking at everything, like my brain kind of leans Mississippi
- 29:32Speaker 1: State in a lot of ways. Coming off a bye,
- 29:34Speaker 1: get your ass beat. It's a hard bye a week.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Lane Kiffin, a lot of people are now doubting him.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Baton Rouge, are they going to be as electric and
- 29:44Speaker 1: amazing as we saw in Clemson? The Clemson game, probably not.
- 29:48Speaker 1: It's going to be a very difficult place to play.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Must-win game for LSU. Must-win game. Must-win game for both.
- 29:52Speaker 1: We'll pull up the notes just again. I do love
- 29:56Speaker 1: this exercise.
- 29:57Speaker 5: Sam Levitt's the only quarterback in FBS to throw an
- 29:59Speaker 5: interception in every one of his team's games this season too,
- 30:02Speaker 5: which is tough.
- 30:02Speaker 3: It's a tough stat.
- 30:03Speaker 1: It's a tough stat, especially because that was my Heisman pick.
- 30:06Speaker 2: What are you doing with Texas?
- 30:08Speaker 6: Buddy.
- 30:10Speaker 1: I mean, it's not a national championship team right now.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Not the way that Arch Manning's playing. You can't have,
- 30:15Speaker 1: you cannot afford more talent than they have on the
- 30:20Speaker 1: offensive side of the ball. Maybe a little bit in
- 30:22Speaker 1: the interior offensive line, but like two great tackles. You
- 30:25Speaker 1: have three incredible wide receiver ones splattered all over the field.
- 30:30Speaker 1: You have two backs that rushed for 1,000 yards last year.
- 30:34Speaker 1: It's like, I don't know what the issue is. And
- 30:37Speaker 1: I don't like slandering a Manning name. I feel uncomfortable
- 30:40Speaker 1: about even having that conversation.
- 30:41Speaker 2: He had a bad fourth quarter. He's got to play better.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Turn the ball over like that.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Texas is going to go as far as Arch Manning
- 30:48Speaker 1: takes that team. That is kind of where I stand
- 30:50Speaker 1: with it. And what I saw against Oklahoma, it's like, well,
- 30:53Speaker 1: it seems like, it feels like not very far, like
- 30:55Speaker 1: not SEC championship, not a national championship. It's very interesting.
- 31:00Speaker 1: And then it goes into kind of what Quinn Uris
- 31:02Speaker 1: went through. People get over the Quinn Uris saga. He
- 31:05Speaker 1: ends up having to go to the NFL because they're
- 31:06Speaker 1: going to start Arch Manning. Pauly Stark has that conversation
- 31:09Speaker 1: with him. Now Arch, he has not necessarily played as
- 31:12Speaker 1: well as people expected him to play. He definitely has
- 31:14Speaker 1: not played as well as people expected him to play.
- 31:16Speaker 1: And now They probably have another quarterback that's sitting back there,
- 31:19Speaker 1: another five-star guy that everyone's kind of excited to see.
- 31:22Speaker 1: So as Texas now say, hey, we want this kid,
- 31:24Speaker 1: what does the conversation look like? Is Sark the head
- 31:27Speaker 1: coach of Texas next year? That's another question that kind
- 31:30Speaker 1: of has to be looked at if they falter. Let's
- 31:33Speaker 1: say they don't make the playoffs again or they make
- 31:34Speaker 1: the playoffs and they're one and done because that is
- 31:36Speaker 1: the conversation that we had during our futures or at
- 31:39Speaker 1: a locker room. It's uncomfortable to talk about because I
- 31:42Speaker 1: like Sark for end of the show. but like you
- 31:44Speaker 1: put that much money into a roster and the ego
- 31:47Speaker 1: that you mentioned of Texas where they expect to be
- 31:49Speaker 1: year in and year out. It's not another realm of,
- 31:52Speaker 1: of conversations.
- 31:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I mean, don't wonder that.
- 31:54Speaker 2: They have arguably the hardest schedule in college football and
- 31:58Speaker 2: the SEC.
- 31:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:59Speaker 2: If they drop a couple, if they drop a couple
- 32:02Speaker 2: more in there, three loss, three plus loss team. Yeah.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Sark will absolutely be on the hot seat.
- 32:08Speaker 7: They go Florida, Ole Miss, Mississippi state, Missouri, LSU, Arkansas.
- 32:13Speaker 9: A & M.
- 32:15Speaker 7: Yeah, they have a– That's a four to five game.
- 32:17Speaker 1: They have a gauntlet, man. They got Arkansas at least.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Rattle those off again.
- 32:22Speaker 2: You said it. Yep.
- 32:23Speaker 7: So next one is Florida, followed by Ole Miss, then
- 32:26Speaker 7: Mississippi State, then Missouri, then LSU, then Arkansas and A & M.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Who does Ole Miss play this week?
- 32:33Speaker 2: Missouri. Yeah, Ole Miss and Missouri. That's a game right there, man.
- 32:37Speaker 2: That's a game too. Trinidad, Austin Simmons.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Hey, Austin Simmons gave one up last week.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Hey, Peyton was talking shit. They're out there.
- 32:49Speaker 1: I've been talking about how they're out there. I'm a
- 32:51Speaker 1: big fan of Austin Simmons, but Peyton was talking shit,
- 32:56Speaker 1: and sure enough, an interception comes. So, crystal ball, Louie.
- 32:59Speaker 1: That's all I can say about that. Texas has to
- 33:02Speaker 1: beat Florida. Florida's in a very vulnerable position. As much
- 33:06Speaker 1: as we thought they were good, maybe... Florida has to
- 33:08Speaker 1: beat Texas, too. Like putting, what was their rushing yards
- 33:12Speaker 1: this past week? Like Jayden Ball, like they didn't perform
- 33:15Speaker 1: well in the running game again. Yeah, Ball had 59
- 33:17Speaker 1: yards rushing. And they had what, three turnovers?
- 33:20Speaker 2: Three turnovers.
- 33:21Speaker 1: The North Cellars, four touchdowns thrown.
- 33:23Speaker 7: Four touchdowns thrown, one rushed.
- 33:26Speaker 2: And the game plan on the Florida offense is out there.
- 33:29Speaker 2: Like you stop, obviously easier said than done, even though
- 33:32Speaker 2: it's been done the last couple of weeks. You slow
- 33:35Speaker 2: down this rushing attack for Florida and you have Aaron
- 33:38Speaker 2: Filo throw the ball. He's not... We got to watch
- 33:41Speaker 2: Gunnar Stockton be in a spot over the weekend against
- 33:44Speaker 2: Bama where he is dealing in tight windows and tight moments.
- 33:49Speaker 2: But yeah, the game plan is kind of out there
- 33:51Speaker 2: on Florida's offense right now.
- 33:52Speaker 1: And who rushes the ball really well? Tennessee rushes the
- 33:56Speaker 1: ball really well. Texas handled the rush offense of Tennessee
- 34:00Speaker 1: just a couple of weeks ago. So it's like Texas
- 34:03Speaker 1: could probably... Turned into, hey, we got to put the
- 34:05Speaker 1: game on Aaron Fowler's shoulders and make Wilson and Brown
- 34:08Speaker 1: handle business down the field. And what's shown the last
- 34:10Speaker 1: couple of weeks is if you make them do that,
- 34:11Speaker 1: just like you said. So it gives you the edge
- 34:13Speaker 1: on Texas right there.
- 34:15Speaker 7: With tons of these matchups this week, I don't say
- 34:18Speaker 7: this lightly, could be the most pivotal week in college football.
- 34:23Speaker 1: You did not say that lightly.
- 34:24Speaker 7: Because we drained the swamp.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Who the Cocks have this week, dude? Hey, let's give
- 34:31Speaker 1: a round of applause for Cocktober. As much as things change,
- 34:34Speaker 1: they stay the same, man. That's incredible.
- 34:37Speaker 2: No, it was a huge win. It was nice to
- 34:39Speaker 2: see Coach Beamer get the smile. Oh, no.
- 34:42Speaker 7: Oh, man, it was so deserved.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:44Speaker 7: It was so deserved. My favorite thing about the game,
- 34:47Speaker 7: and I hope they have this, they do this for
- 34:49Speaker 7: the rest of the season, Dylan Stewart, first player off
- 34:52Speaker 7: the bus right behind Beamer. I need him as the
- 34:55Speaker 7: face of the program for the last six or seven
- 34:59Speaker 7: weeks of the season because it shows the ownership. And
- 35:03Speaker 7: it sends a message to GMs like, hey, I know
- 35:06Speaker 7: I messed up, and now I'm owning it, and now
- 35:09Speaker 7: I'm going to go ball. He got himself a sack,
- 35:10Speaker 7: a forced fumble, caused problems all day, and that's what
- 35:14Speaker 7: I like to see.
- 35:14Speaker 2: I mean, look, Tennessee, Oklahoma, A & M, Arkansas.
- 35:22Speaker 7: That's why the beginning of the season pissed me off
- 35:24Speaker 7: so much is because you've got to beat Mississippi State.
- 35:26Speaker 7: You've got to beat Kentucky, even just one of them.
- 35:30Speaker 7: Then you have a little bit of, you're still in
- 35:32Speaker 7: the mix right now.
- 35:33Speaker 2: Right, you're still in the mix. Like, you guys are
- 35:35Speaker 2: in must-win mode throughout the rest of the year.
- 35:37Speaker 4: Right.
- 35:37Speaker 1: A Tennessee-South Carolina game is very interesting.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll be there. A Tennessee-South Carolina game. Jack, you
- 35:46Speaker 2: going to that game?
- 35:46Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 35:47Speaker 4: JP does say he has a ticket for me.
- 35:50Speaker 3: I told him I would be decided as of yesterday.
- 35:52Speaker 3: Still have not made a decision, so.
- 35:54Speaker 2: Here we are.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Might be a game called Darius Rucker.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Tennessee, not in a disrespectful way, I would say you
- 35:59Speaker 2: have to put them in that category of potential fraud alert. Yeah.
- 36:02Speaker 3: I mean, SEC road game, though.
- 36:04Speaker 4: SEC road wins and SEC road win. It was gross,
- 36:07Speaker 4: and our identity's lacking outside of defense in the run game.
- 36:10Speaker 3: But, yeah, I didn't like the performance on the field.
- 36:13Speaker 3: It was uninspiring.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Like, I got you on the road game, SEC road game,
- 36:18Speaker 2: but Arkansas.
- 36:19Speaker 6: Oh, I know.
- 36:20Speaker 4: I think that if they had beaten Tennessee, they would
- 36:22Speaker 4: have been the first— game in 14 sec games that
- 36:27Speaker 4: they had actually won one so i don't know this
- 36:30Speaker 4: is a huge week very scary week with bama coming
- 36:33Speaker 4: in oxville um they could come throttle us or we
- 36:36Speaker 4: could turn it around so this is kind of the
- 36:39Speaker 4: season for us.
- 36:40Speaker 1: What's the line on that game right now not sure.
- 36:42Speaker 5: Also backup quarterback tennessee not their starter yeah who knows
- 36:47Speaker 5: who's gonna start this week fazon's hurt he's not.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Benched yeah but who knows who's gonna be out there
- 36:53Speaker 2: this week Who knows? You got to keep the injury report.
- 36:56Speaker 2: You got to keep them guessing on the injury report.
- 36:58Speaker 2: How about the Bama-Georgia game?
- 37:00Speaker 1: Unreal.
- 37:02Speaker 2: Did that not live up to the hype? Absolutely. The
- 37:05Speaker 2: Kirby Smart speech. Kirby Smart's free game.
- 37:07Speaker 1: And I saw there was a post-game speech that might
- 37:09Speaker 1: have been more electric than the other one.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Dude, that one to go out. You get done with
- 37:13Speaker 2: the Lord's Prayer. There's nothing like it. You get done praying.
- 37:17Speaker 1: It's the funniest bit that you brought up early in.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Our Tennessee careers together. Go ahead.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 37:23Speaker 2: You get done with the Lord's Prayer and you immediately,
- 37:25Speaker 2: you start trying to talk. I need eyes on me.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Then you find the GA, shut the fucking door. And
- 37:30Speaker 2: then you just, you start getting in war mode. You
- 37:33Speaker 2: start getting in war mode.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Fuck all the F words you can possibly say right
- 37:36Speaker 1: after the Lord's Prayer. And then you finish up with this.
- 37:39Speaker 1: This is a him or me game. It's him or me.
- 37:41Speaker 1: And the way he says him or me five or
- 37:43Speaker 1: six different times, they all mean different shit. Like, that's why, hey,
- 37:47Speaker 1: you understand it's him or it's fucking me. And I'm like,
- 37:50Speaker 1: God damn, dude, I want to run through a brick wall.
- 37:52Speaker 1: I'm sitting there on my couch like, fuck. Yeah, and
- 37:54Speaker 1: he's like, fuck the scoreboard. I don't care about the scoreboard. Yes.
- 37:59Speaker 2: They want to run the football. They say they're the
- 38:00Speaker 2: more physical team. Oh, man, he just goes nuts, man.
- 38:03Speaker 2: They're talking about physicality, physicality. Oh, we'll show them fucking physicality.
- 38:07Speaker 1: They've been hearing all about their tight ends. Hey, listen,
- 38:09Speaker 1: that's a good group. I've been hearing all about their
- 38:11Speaker 1: tight ends. And they went in there, dude. The second half,
- 38:14Speaker 1: the way Georgia was able to run the football, that
- 38:16Speaker 1: was the game. That and a non-DPI call by Georgia.
- 38:21Speaker 2: That was a bad call.
- 38:22Speaker 1: That was a bad call. The interception as well that
- 38:24Speaker 1: Alabama had that was not that. We kind of brushed over.
- 38:28Speaker 1: That's bad. Can't have that. And then this young cat,
- 38:30Speaker 1: number five for Alabama.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Dijon Lee. Oh, bro.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Where Kalen DeBoer is screaming at him, you lost us
- 38:37Speaker 1: the game. I don't know if those are the exact words,
- 38:39Speaker 1: but I'm not a lip reader, not professional. It seemed
- 38:41Speaker 1: like he said, you cost us the game over and
- 38:44Speaker 1: over and over again. Did he cost him the game? No,
- 38:46Speaker 1: because you're in the position at the end of the game. Yeah,
- 38:47Speaker 1: DeBoer will go back and- Cost him the opportunity.
- 38:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:49Speaker 1: I actually, I mess with DeBoer getting that fiery on
- 38:53Speaker 1: the field because I'm in the middle of watching the
- 38:54Speaker 1: Saban documentary right now. And it's all belt to ass
- 38:58Speaker 1: on every single person that crosses Nick Saban the whole time.
- 39:00Speaker 1: And then it'll cut to Nick Saban being so calm
- 39:03Speaker 1: and collected, be like, I never lost my cool. And
- 39:04Speaker 1: then it shows him with his fucking headset flying and
- 39:07Speaker 1: all that. And he's like, everything was strategic the whole time.
- 39:11Speaker 1: And so I'm watching the board. I'm like, yeah, dude,
- 39:14Speaker 1: like that is the way you gotta handle it. You
- 39:16Speaker 1: have to, like that kid makes a massive mistake. Does
- 39:19Speaker 1: he cost you the game? No, you're in, there's five
- 39:21Speaker 1: or six plays in every game that like determines the
- 39:23Speaker 1: outcome when a game's that close. However, him getting his
- 39:28Speaker 1: ass chewed on the sidelines is, it sends a message
- 39:30Speaker 1: to the whole team that there's a standard there's a
- 39:33Speaker 1: discipline that you have to have and got me more
- 39:35Speaker 1: fired up for alabama in the future they ran the
- 39:38Speaker 1: ball effectively keelan russell is the only freshman quarterback or
- 39:41Speaker 1: the only young five star out of that class That
- 39:45Speaker 1: has been exactly what we expected them to be. He
- 39:48Speaker 1: is so impressive. Ryan Coleman Williams goes down as a weird,
- 39:52Speaker 1: did you see that play? He like, he has a
- 39:55Speaker 1: ball in the end zone. He like lands on his shoulder,
- 39:57Speaker 1: but he has like this weird twitch after. DeBoer said
- 39:59Speaker 1: in the post game, he's dealing with a head injury,
- 40:01Speaker 1: but he doesn't like, it's like a whiplash thing. So
- 40:03Speaker 1: hopefully he's all right, but I'm a huge fan. I'm
- 40:07Speaker 1: a huge fan of DeBoer and the way he handled
- 40:09Speaker 1: that situation. I just love seeing the fire. Yeah.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Especially with the DPI, him just fucking going nuts. Good thing,
- 40:16Speaker 2: and shout out to Dre Kirkpatrick. It's like when Dijon
- 40:19Speaker 2: Lee was coming to the sideline, he wasn't trying to
- 40:22Speaker 2: hear it from DeBoer.
- 40:23Speaker 8: Right.
- 40:23Speaker 2: And Dre is like grabbing him and he's like, hey,
- 40:26Speaker 2: stay in there and you need to look at the
- 40:28Speaker 2: head coach. It's HaHa.
- 40:29Speaker 3: HaHa Clinton Dix.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Oh, HaHa Clinton Dix.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Same draft class, 2014 draft class.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Yeah, same defense, same squad. HaHa Clinton Dix.
- 40:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:35Speaker 2: But him standing there like, hey, you need to stand.
- 40:37Speaker 2: You need to look at the head coach because when
- 40:40Speaker 2: you watch it, Dijon's not even trying to look and
- 40:42Speaker 2: hear what Coach DeBoer is saying, even though it's like, bro,
- 40:44Speaker 2: what the fuck are you doing? That was the most
- 40:47Speaker 2: selfish penalty to have in that moment. Right.
- 40:50Speaker 1: And it's like that kid makes a massive mistake. Millions
- 40:54Speaker 1: of people are watching this game. Millions of people are
- 40:55Speaker 1: watching Get Your Ass Chewed. Egos are flaring up right there.
- 40:58Speaker 1: So I don't blame, I don't even know how old
- 41:00Speaker 1: this kid is. Let's just assume he's between 18 and 21.
- 41:02Speaker 1: I'm sure we're getting slowly past the COVID era. He
- 41:04Speaker 1: doesn't have to be 27.
- 41:06Speaker 2: He's young.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Makes a mistake in a massive game. Clearly his ego
- 41:10Speaker 1: is going to be, I don't want to hear it.
- 41:12Speaker 3: I don't want to do that.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Totally normal for a kid of that age to have that.
- 41:15Speaker 1: But ha ha Clinton Dix being in that locker room before,
- 41:18Speaker 1: playing in the NFL, having the success he did and
- 41:20Speaker 1: to be able to turn him around, that's a huge
- 41:22Speaker 1: W for that team. Accountability all around, dude. We're probably
- 41:25Speaker 1: going to see that game again.
- 41:26Speaker 2: Oh yeah, man. I hope we get to it. And
- 41:28Speaker 2: it was awesome. Like we knew going into that game,
- 41:31Speaker 2: it was going to come down because Georgia was going
- 41:32Speaker 2: to come after Keelan Russell and all of the Cody,
- 41:35Speaker 2: you were talking about it before. the show started, but
- 41:37Speaker 2: kind of the delayed blitzing that was taking place. They're
- 41:40Speaker 2: sitting here doing, we would call it coffee house or
- 41:42Speaker 2: teacup blitz, where you kind of shuffle out and add
- 41:44Speaker 2: back in the speed of this Georgia front. Like, bro,
- 41:47Speaker 2: it was a physical fucking football game. We interrupt this
- 41:50Speaker 2: episode to tell you guys that Neutral is teaming up
- 41:54Speaker 2: with Bustin' with the Boys to give one lucky fan
- 41:56Speaker 2: and their crew the chance to experience the ultimate tailgate

- 42:30Speaker 2: perfect drink for you guys. It tastes better than any
- 42:33Speaker 2: other real vodka seltzer that is out there. And Neutral's
- 42:36Speaker 2: made for sharing with friends and enjoying all season long
- 42:39Speaker 2: during tailgates, watch parties, and game day celebrations. Enter for
- 42:43Speaker 2: your chance to win the ultimate tailgate experience in Las Vegas. Neutral.
- 42:48Speaker 2: Keep it tasty. And we knew it was going to
- 42:50Speaker 2: come down to Keelan Russell. Can he deal? Can these
- 42:53Speaker 2: receivers get open against, you know, that Georgia secondary littered
- 42:57Speaker 2: with potential first rounders. Man-to-man coverage. And it was, dude,
- 43:02Speaker 2: it was just, it was awesome. It was awesome.
- 43:04Speaker 1: It was awesome to watch Gunnar Stockton press the ball
- 43:06Speaker 1: down the field too, like multiple times, tight windows, tight coverage,
- 43:09Speaker 1: and just put a piss missile right through a guy's chest.
- 43:12Speaker 1: It was impressive.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Yeah, step up in the pocket, hang in there, wait
- 43:15Speaker 2: for a late dig, tight in over the middle when
- 43:17Speaker 2: they went down and scored that first one to go
- 43:19Speaker 2: up 10-0. Two plays back-to-back, kind of just putting it,
- 43:22Speaker 2: and again, it's like in the middle of the field.
- 43:24Speaker 2: You see that one on the sideline? where he just
- 43:26Speaker 2: puts it right in the only spot it can be caught.
- 43:29Speaker 2: It was, do Gunnar Stockton look good, man? The times
- 43:32Speaker 2: that he does have to throw the ball downfield. Because again,
- 43:34Speaker 2: that entire offense, we know, we've talked about it, is
- 43:38Speaker 2: built on efficiency. But when Gunnar's got to go out
- 43:39Speaker 2: there and win you a game or win you a drive,
- 43:42Speaker 2: he's got the ability to do so.
- 43:43Speaker 1: The thing that is concerning for me in Alabama, because
- 43:46Speaker 1: we're going to play crystal ball, and just assume at
- 43:49Speaker 1: this very moment that the SEC championship will be played
- 43:52Speaker 1: between Alabama and Georgia. Georgia ran the ball extremely effectively.
- 43:56Speaker 1: They didn't have Bowen. They didn't have Frazier.
- 43:58Speaker 2: Shout out Walker, dude.
- 43:59Speaker 1: Shout out Walker. Shout out that Phillips kid.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Yeah, Phillips.
- 44:03Speaker 1: That kid is a little spark plug. They gave him
- 44:06Speaker 1: the ball 20, 25 times that game. He's little. And
- 44:09Speaker 1: then Kirby Smart sat there. This is also what I love,
- 44:12Speaker 1: and I know I'm jumping around. Pre-game, post-game speech, Kirby Smart.
- 44:15Speaker 1: Piss hot, all the things. Fuck these guys. You see
- 44:18Speaker 1: a clip of him walking over to the small Georgia
- 44:20Speaker 1: student section and doing the belt-to-ass move in front of everybody.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Press conference immediately. First off, I want to give a
- 44:25Speaker 1: lot of credit to Alabama. They did a great job.
- 44:27Speaker 2: It's not personal. This is just football.
- 44:29Speaker 1: I don't look at the games as far as my
- 44:30Speaker 1: record goes against Alabama and Alabama. Same thing with Kaelin DeBoer,
- 44:33Speaker 1: which I love, like the tale of the Dr. Jekyll
- 44:36Speaker 1: and Mr.
- 44:36Speaker 5: Hyde.
- 44:37Speaker 1: But this Phillips kid to come in the game and...
- 44:41Speaker 1: Make the cuts he did, the burst, the X plays.
- 44:44Speaker 1: It was so impressive to see this kid get called
- 44:48Speaker 1: the way, his number get called the way it was
- 44:50Speaker 1: and to handle business, which brings us to the SEC championship, right?
- 44:54Speaker 1: Playing the game, let's just assume everything ends up Alabama, Georgia.
- 44:57Speaker 1: At this point, I'm going to assume that Bowen and
- 45:00Speaker 1: Frazier are healthy. How much stronger is that run game
- 45:03Speaker 1: against Alabama and Atlanta? That's the thing that concerns me.
- 45:07Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 45:08Speaker 1: But also, talking on both sides of my mouth last year,
- 45:11Speaker 1: Alabama beats Georgia in the regular season. And then Georgia
- 45:14Speaker 1: goes BTA in the, in the SEC championship. So there's
- 45:17Speaker 1: a lot to look forward to.
- 45:20Speaker 2: They look like the number one team in the country, right? Yeah. They,
- 45:23Speaker 2: they're physical. They have a lot of returning experience. Like
- 45:28Speaker 2: they are tough, man. Like, I don't know how you
- 45:30Speaker 2: beat them.
- 45:32Speaker 8: And you see like a lot of secondaries, even in
- 45:34Speaker 8: the SEC that, just aren't great tacklers, and you watch
- 45:38Speaker 8: this Georgia secondary fly around and just lay the wood.
- 45:43Speaker 8: It's so much fun to watch.
- 45:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:46Speaker 1: It's fun, dude. Well, Big Ten. I mean, the last
- 45:51Speaker 1: three national championships have come out of the Big Ten.
- 45:53Speaker 1: We assumed another one would come out. We all thought
- 45:55Speaker 1: it was going to be Oregon. They lose to Oklahoma
- 45:58Speaker 1: State week two.
- 45:59Speaker 2: Seven turnovers, bro.
- 46:00Speaker 1: And then they go and play a UCLA team. Bob Chizzi,
- 46:03Speaker 1: now he's got them boys absolutely rolling. 200 yards per
- 46:05Speaker 1: game right now. Both those running backs are awesome. Nico
- 46:09Speaker 1: is doing a great job taking care of the football
- 46:10Speaker 1: as well. Like that team is flying around.
- 46:12Speaker 2: In the backup to coming in and playing a hell
- 46:14Speaker 2: of a game to finish it out.
- 46:15Speaker 1: And we sat there on Wednesday and said, all of
- 46:18Speaker 1: us around the table, triple a stat. We said, this
- 46:20Speaker 1: is Oregon or Oregon's game. They figured themselves out. They
- 46:23Speaker 1: had themselves a bio.
- 46:23Speaker 2: We take a place.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Rayola. He has a whole game plan revolving around him. Rayola.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I don't know what the fuck was going on with
- 46:31Speaker 1: this kid. It was horrible to watch. The point where
- 46:35Speaker 1: a kid gets benched. Never want to see a kid
- 46:37Speaker 1: flounder and have that type happen. Now Oregon's in a
- 46:40Speaker 1: very interesting spot. And you were talking to me about,
- 46:42Speaker 1: what was it, 2012? Bo Pelini. You lose two early
- 46:45Speaker 1: games early in the season. Oh, yeah. What was that
- 46:47Speaker 1: conversation like for you guys?
- 46:49Speaker 2: Just being in must-win mode. It's like we dropped one
- 46:52Speaker 2: against UCLA. We lost to Ohio State. Bo comes in. Hey,
- 46:57Speaker 2: all the goals you kind of had before the season,
- 46:59Speaker 2: you want any shot at the postseason. We have to
- 47:01Speaker 2: win every fucking game now. Did we have seven second-half
- 47:04Speaker 2: comebacks throughout the rest of the year? Yeah, we did.
- 47:06Speaker 2: We ended up going 10-2. Oregon is in the spot
- 47:09Speaker 2: to where they cannot drop any more games if they're
- 47:13Speaker 2: going to even be talked about in the Big Ten
- 47:16Speaker 2: Conference title game or even be talked about for the
- 47:19Speaker 2: college football playoff.
- 47:20Speaker 1: They can't lose anymore.
- 47:22Speaker 2: Dante Moore's got to get back on the field.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Dante Moore's got to get back on the field. And
- 47:26Speaker 1: they play Nebraska next week, which is a scary game.
- 47:32Speaker 1: It's a scary game for both teams. Yeah. If you're Oregon,
- 47:34Speaker 1: you put that film on, you're like, oh, we're not
- 47:35Speaker 1: going to, this is not, we looked at the calendar.
- 47:37Speaker 1: We said, this is a W. We don't know anymore
- 47:38Speaker 1: if this one's a W or not. Nebraska, you got
- 47:40Speaker 1: up this high. The RPMs were rocking at the 10,
- 47:43Speaker 1: a little bit in the red. Now you had to
- 47:45Speaker 1: get up again just one week later at a night
- 47:47Speaker 1: game in Autzen. So there's a lot running on this
- 47:50Speaker 1: game as well. Go back to the notes real quick
- 47:53Speaker 1: for me. Let's see. USC, this is your game of
- 47:59Speaker 1: the year.
- 47:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Go ahead. What you got for us on that?
- 48:02Speaker 3: Nothing much. I just figured USC is just more talented.
- 48:05Speaker 5: No offense to Penn State. Penn State is a good
- 48:07Speaker 5: football team. I love Matt Campbell, but USC is just
- 48:10Speaker 5: loaded with dudes. I know the whole travel thing was
- 48:12Speaker 5: a big thing, but I just didn't think Penn State
- 48:14Speaker 5: could keep up with them, and they couldn't.
- 48:17Speaker 2: That's all I got. It'll be nuts if we get
- 48:18Speaker 2: to the end of the year. Let's just say Ohio
- 48:21Speaker 2: State is going to be in the Big Ten Championship.
- 48:24Speaker 2: USC and UCLA plan to get the second spot in
- 48:27Speaker 2: the Big Ten Championship.
- 48:29Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 48:30Speaker 2: Because they're at the end of the season. UCLA looks
- 48:33Speaker 2: good right now. USC is playing better. Obviously, when they
- 48:36Speaker 2: lose to Oregon, it's kind of like, okay, Lincoln Raleigh
- 48:39Speaker 2: is going to be on the hot seat. Could they
- 48:41Speaker 2: sputter here since they can't get their signature win? USC
- 48:44Speaker 2: looks good to where if they take care of their schedule,
- 48:46Speaker 2: we could be looking at USC and UCLA at the
- 48:49Speaker 2: end of the year playing to get in for Indianapolis.
- 48:52Speaker 2: Very interesting.
- 48:53Speaker 1: One thing we forgot about this week, Ohio State's got
- 48:58Speaker 1: to go to Bloomington. And play the defending national champs.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:03Speaker 1: That could be an interesting one. Let's say Ohio State
- 49:06Speaker 1: drops it. Indiana wins. We're the last week in November
- 49:11Speaker 1: watching Michigan play Ohio State and if Michigan beats them,
- 49:14Speaker 1: Ohio State is not in the playoffs.
- 49:16Speaker 2: Think about that.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Think about that.
- 49:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:20Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 49:21Speaker 1: They got to focus on Penn State right now.
- 49:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:23Speaker 1: They got to focus on Penn State. We got to
- 49:24Speaker 1: focus on looking at a defense and maybe not just
- 49:26Speaker 1: throwing it to a guy in double coverage. Probably do that.
- 49:29Speaker 2: We got to focus on running the ball a little
- 49:30Speaker 2: bit better.
- 49:30Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 49:31Speaker 1: But I'm just saying, could be interesting.
- 49:33Speaker 2: No bad ideas.
- 49:34Speaker 1: No bad ideas in the brainstorm.
- 49:35Speaker 5: It's crazy to think. It's crazy to think after this week.
- 49:40Speaker 5: Oregon and Ohio State could both be two lost teams.
- 49:42Speaker 5: I feel like at the start of the year, we
- 49:43Speaker 5: never would have thought something like that could happen.
- 49:45Speaker 2: Definitely not Oregon, man.
- 49:47Speaker 1: Crazy to think at the end of next week, Oregon
- 49:50Speaker 1: could be a three-loss team. Oregon could be a three-loss team.
- 49:53Speaker 1: Could be a three-loss team.
- 49:54Speaker 3: Who had more votes in the AP poll, Oregon or Nebraska? Sorry.
- 49:59Speaker 2: I'm not sure.
- 49:59Speaker 3: I just find that super interesting at this matchup.
- 50:01Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 50:02Speaker 5: I feel like we had some conversations in the offseason
- 50:04Speaker 5: of it being kind of a cupcake game for Oregon.
- 50:07Speaker 2: I mean, they were... Before the year started and you're
- 50:10Speaker 2: going through Nebraska's schedule, Oregon was a 23 and a
- 50:14Speaker 2: half point favorite at that time. Now the line, I
- 50:17Speaker 2: want to say going into this week when I saw
- 50:18Speaker 2: it yesterday, it was Nebraska plus seven and a half.
- 50:21Speaker 1: It's six and a half now.
- 50:22Speaker 2: Six and a half now.
- 50:22Speaker 1: I looked at it this morning in the pre-pro.
- 50:24Speaker 3: Six and a half.
- 50:25Speaker 1: Six and a half is the number.
- 50:26Speaker 5: That's a crazy just swing. Just even thinking about Oregon
- 50:29Speaker 5: not being ranked in this game.
- 50:31Speaker 1: With all the talent in the world.
- 50:33Speaker 2: We got a shot out there.
- 50:35Speaker 1: All the talent in the world makes that A-gap look
- 50:37Speaker 1: really shitty. The hottest conference in college football right now,
- 50:41Speaker 1: it's got to be the Big 12. It's got to.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Be the Big 12.
- 50:45Speaker 1: I just keep going back to us sitting there being like,
- 50:47Speaker 1: it's Texas Tech and everybody else.
- 50:48Speaker 2: And it's really not. Dude, you got BYU, huge game
- 50:52Speaker 2: this weekend for the entire conference against Notre Dame. Utah's undefeated.
- 50:57Speaker 2: Texas Tech undefeated. Oklahoma State is as sexy as ever
- 51:02Speaker 2: right now since that first Weak loss out on some
- 51:05Speaker 2: team down in Texas. Tulsa.
- 51:07Speaker 1: But now hold on now. Just a quick little point
- 51:09Speaker 1: on Oklahoma State. That score is 42-28. It was 21-21
- 51:13Speaker 1: at one point. UCF came to play a little bit.
- 51:16Speaker 1: They're running through. Oklahoma State's defense a little too much.
- 51:19Speaker 1: It got a little scary for a minute, but they
- 51:20Speaker 1: ended up pulling away, obviously, at the end.
- 51:22Speaker 2: And then you got Houston. They only have one loss
- 51:25Speaker 2: against Texas Tech. They beat the shit out of Kansas State.
- 51:28Speaker 2: And that's another score that doesn't tell the whole story.
- 51:31Speaker 2: It should be even farther apart because Houston was BTA
- 51:35Speaker 2: all day on that team. And you got Houston and
- 51:37Speaker 2: Oklahoma State this weekend.
- 51:39Speaker 3: It's going to be a good game.
- 51:40Speaker 1: It's going to be a great game.
- 51:41Speaker 3: I wish it was in Oklahoma State.
- 51:42Speaker 7: Same.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Same. Going out to Stillwater. That's where we would have
- 51:47Speaker 2: taken the show.
- 51:48Speaker 6: Still, he gets crazy.
- 51:49Speaker 2: Yeah. With all the paddles.
- 51:50Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 51:51Speaker 6: When the crowd gets into it.
- 51:53Speaker 1: I don't know shit about Oklahoma State. I got offered
- 51:55Speaker 1: by Oklahoma State in high school. And the biggest selling
- 51:58Speaker 1: point to my dad was the coach out there goes, Hey, listen,
- 52:01Speaker 1: I'll know where your son's at, at all points. It's
- 52:02Speaker 1: so flat out here. I'll stand in a corner. I'll
- 52:04Speaker 1: be able to see Taylor wherever he goes. He'll never
- 52:05Speaker 1: get into trouble out here.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Is Oklahoma State the campus too, where when Texas was
- 52:10Speaker 2: coming to town, they had like a steer, a steer head. Oh, that's,
- 52:14Speaker 2: I believe so.
- 52:16Speaker 6: Like, uh, the last year that Texas was in the
- 52:19Speaker 6: big 12, there was a fraternity that went to a
- 52:21Speaker 6: local farm.
- 52:23Speaker 2: They slaughtered.
- 52:24Speaker 6: Uh, it wasn't even a true Longhorn. It was just
- 52:26Speaker 6: a pool. Uh, the people did get arrested.
- 52:29Speaker 2: Yeah. Uh, it was a huge deal. Yeah. Huge deal.
- 52:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:34Speaker 5: That's one of those ideas that you, you talk about it.
- 52:36Speaker 5: No one has the balls. Just be like, maybe this
- 52:38Speaker 5: is a dumb ass idea, boys. And then you do
- 52:41Speaker 5: it and sit there and say that.
- 52:42Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 52:43Speaker 2: You know, a group of young men in an eternity
- 52:46Speaker 2: where the idea didn't get beyond their little group chat
- 52:49Speaker 2: thinking about it.
- 52:51Speaker 3: That's a tough one, boys. Bad ball there.
- 52:54Speaker 2: Bad ball.
- 52:54Speaker 1: Bad ball around. But yeah, the Big 12 is getting
- 52:56Speaker 1: spicier and spicier by the week. And the ACC, Louisville
- 52:59Speaker 1: beats Florida State 44 to 20. That's a nice little
- 53:02Speaker 1: deal right there. We got UNC getting their first top
- 53:05Speaker 1: 25 win. Bill Belichick, first top 25 win. Against Pitt, 21-17.
- 53:09Speaker 1: We're not going to mention the fact that Heinschel was
- 53:11Speaker 1: out for that game. The T's and B's to.
- 53:13Speaker 2: Pitt, man. They got ranked. They got their respect. They
- 53:16Speaker 2: were looking up and up, and Heinschel goes out for
- 53:18Speaker 2: the year. We knew that this was an A-gap situation.
- 53:22Speaker 2: North Carolina handles business.
- 53:23Speaker 1: Georgia Tech beats Duke. Undefeated Duke, 28-25. Hey, that sucks.
- 53:28Speaker 2: That does. And Duke fans.
- 53:30Speaker 1: That sucks, yeah. I would say it sucks for Florida State, Pitt,
- 53:33Speaker 1: and Duke that they all lost this week.
- 53:35Speaker 2: Yeah, but everybody, you know, when you're talking about showing
- 53:37Speaker 2: respect to the ACC and who's good, who's not, talk
- 53:40Speaker 2: about SMU, Louisville, Miami, and then to go, like, you
- 53:46Speaker 2: see them in the comments. Nate Shepard, who would lead
- 53:48Speaker 2: the league, lead the country in rushing yards and everything else.
- 53:50Speaker 2: And they're screaming for their respect. You can't get beat
- 53:54Speaker 2: by Georgia Tech. Just can't happen.
- 53:57Speaker 1: Can't have it. And I know we got to get
- 53:58Speaker 1: out of here. We got to get our fix of
- 53:59Speaker 1: the G6.
- 54:00Speaker 2: Oh, by the way, Wake Forest. Yeah. They got a
- 54:03Speaker 2: good ball club.
- 54:04Speaker 1: I need Louisville to figure their shit out a little
- 54:05Speaker 1: bit because they're way too good of a ball club
- 54:07Speaker 1: to be losing.
- 54:08Speaker 2: Here and there. All right.
- 54:09Speaker 1: Well, they got two losses on the year.
- 54:11Speaker 3: Three.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Three losses. Well, yeah, Ole Miss. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But
- 54:14Speaker 1: two in conference play. That's just crazy. I want to
- 54:17Speaker 1: give a shout out. I need to remember his name,
- 54:19Speaker 1: but you got to pull him up for me. That
- 54:20Speaker 1: Oregon State wide receiver.
- 54:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:23Speaker 1: This cat.
- 54:24Speaker 3: Jesse Legree.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Jesse Legree. He's got less catches than Jeremiah Smith right now.
- 54:30Speaker 1: More yards and more touchdowns. And it took him until
- 54:33Speaker 1: this week to hit the Heisman pose in a touchdown.
- 54:35Speaker 1: They hit him in a post-game press conference or on
- 54:38Speaker 1: the field rather. And they're like, hey, you hit the Heisman.
- 54:41Speaker 1: What do you think about that? He goes, oh, I
- 54:42Speaker 1: just want the rest of the world to know that
- 54:43Speaker 1: I'm a Heisman contender as well. This kid's over 100
- 54:46Speaker 1: yards a game right now. He is crushing it.
- 54:48Speaker 2: True freshman.
- 54:49Speaker 8: Leads the nation in receiving yards as a true freshman.
- 54:52Speaker 2: Just crazy. Stud.
- 54:54Speaker 1: Stud wide. This is a stud wide receiver. Just want
- 54:56Speaker 1: to give a little love right there.
- 54:58Speaker 2: Their quarterback's salty too.
- 55:00Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 55:00Speaker 2: Nice.
- 55:01Speaker 1: Was it Atkinson?
- 55:03Speaker 2: Atkinson.
- 55:03Speaker 1: Yeah, he can dish it a little bit too. Got
- 55:06Speaker 1: my eyes on the portal right now, fellas. Don't you worry.
- 55:08Speaker 1: Got my eyes on that portal. I know we're in October,
- 55:11Speaker 1: but I'm looking at that portal already. I like what
- 55:14Speaker 1: I see at Oregon State right now.
- 55:17Speaker 2: Can we get a fix with the G6?
- 55:18Speaker 1: Let me sit back. Move the mic out of the
- 55:21Speaker 1: way and get this fixed real quick.
- 55:24Speaker 3: Well, that's perfect.
- 55:25Speaker 8: The first one is San Diego State had 14 confirmed
- 55:28Speaker 8: cases of the mumps, which caused some issues leading up
- 55:30Speaker 8: to their game against Oregon State, who had to administer
- 55:33Speaker 8: booster shots to their players. Oregon State goes on to
- 55:36Speaker 8: put up 651 total yards and beat them 66-14. Jamarcus
- 55:42Speaker 8: Shepard may have been the winning head coach, but I'm
- 55:44Speaker 8: personally reaching out to Gavin Newsom to bump up San
- 55:47Speaker 8: Diego State head coach's Sean Lewis social credit score following
- 55:51Speaker 8: the CDC guidelines as far as social distancing recommendations on
- 55:56Speaker 8: that field when it came to guarding Oregon State's receivers.
- 56:01Speaker 8: Saying that, yeah, I had a shout out to Jesse Legree.
- 56:05Speaker 8: But beat me to the punch there.
- 56:07Speaker 1: Sorry, sorry, sorry.
- 56:08Speaker 2: I shouldn't even have brought him up.
- 56:09Speaker 8: Troy puts it to Southern Miss. Was a headline, but
- 56:12Speaker 8: it was also what I prompted Grok word for word
- 56:15Speaker 8: after watching High School Musical 2 in my Knoxville hotel room.
- 56:18Speaker 2: Hot.
- 56:21Speaker 8: All jokes aside, Troy did put up 55 points in
- 56:24Speaker 8: a fun Tuesday night game. The Sacramento State's FBS struggles
- 56:32Speaker 8: continue as they lose to Bowling Green 38-10. The only
- 56:35Speaker 8: green bowls those Northern California folk are used to are
- 56:38Speaker 8: the ones that make you very giggly or listen to
- 56:41Speaker 8: jam bands.
- 56:43Speaker 3: Or join a cult.
- 56:46Speaker 7: Bad, bad stuff.
- 56:50Speaker 2: Did you write down bad, bad stuff?
- 56:53Speaker 8: Everything I read is on air. Old Dominion head coach
- 56:57Speaker 8: Ricky Ronnie and his Monarch celebrated their first Sunbelt win
- 57:02Speaker 8: in a downpour by sliding down the muddy App State hillside.
- 57:05Speaker 8: Tough look for the Mountaineers, letting the Monarchy storm the gates,
- 57:08Speaker 8: seize the high ground, and claim their land on a
- 57:10Speaker 8: hard-fought battle in close quarters combat. Side note, I took
- 57:14Speaker 8: the over in that game. The score was 0-0 at half.
- 57:17Speaker 8: The score was 3-2 after the third And ended at
- 57:20Speaker 8: 10 to 3.
- 57:21Speaker 2: Oof.
- 57:23Speaker 8: From now on, the only over I'm taking involving Old
- 57:27Speaker 8: Dominion will be involving the amount of paid appearances by
- 57:30Speaker 8: Matt Ballone at Old Dominion's youthful indoor-outdoor Nashville bar, Odie's.
- 57:37Speaker 8: Here's the flyer. He flies private. He plays hockey. He's
- 57:41Speaker 8: your wife's favorite podcaster. He's hotter than John Mateer, and
- 57:45Speaker 8: he's coming to your favorite bar. Come meet Matt Bussin
- 57:48Speaker 8: with the boys' icon, Matt Malone, this Saturday. Ladies free
- 57:51Speaker 8: before 11 p.m.
- 57:55Speaker 7: Fine print.
- 57:56Speaker 8: Attendance is not guaranteed in meeting, conversation, photo, autograph, or
- 57:59Speaker 8: interaction with Matt Malone. Appearance times, duration, and access are
- 58:01Speaker 8: the sole discretion of Mr. Malone and the venue management.
- 58:08Speaker 8: There's no Mr. Hands headline this week. Research kind of
- 58:12Speaker 8: got too dark. found out his accomplice though his Mr.
- 58:17Speaker 8: Hand's right hand man he actually fled to Spring Hill
- 58:21Speaker 8: and yeah he fled to Spring Hill and he got
- 58:25Speaker 8: caught up with a Shetland pony yeah which so he
- 58:29Speaker 8: kind of stayed in the minor leagues he used his
- 58:32Speaker 8: buddy as a cautionary tale stayed smaller which kind of
- 58:36Speaker 8: like Sac State should be a cautionary tale for FCS
- 58:40Speaker 8: teams moving up to the FBS like stay with the
- 58:43Speaker 8: shetland ponies down there you.
- 58:45Speaker 2: Know yeah yeah you know.
