- 1:38Speaker 1: Welcome to the show. Blow that whistle somebody, thank you
- 1:42Speaker 1: very much. We do have one of my favorite commentators,
- 1:47Speaker 1: Andy Staples coming up, who's great college football. And then
- 1:51Speaker 1: Eddie interviewed Kyle Larson, who's a two time NASCAR Cup winner,
- 1:55Speaker 1: and I don't know, I had to leave for I
- 1:59Speaker 1: think a dog's appointment. So you did it? How to go?
- 2:02Speaker 5: It was good man.
- 2:02Speaker 6: I mean I didn't really watch the race, but I
- 2:04Speaker 6: made it seem like I did.
- 2:05Speaker 1: There you Go, which is got the history of all
- 2:07Speaker 1: my interviews.
- 2:09Speaker 5: But I did get a recap of the race.
- 2:11Speaker 6: I saw like clips of the end, which was a
- 2:14Speaker 6: crazy ending, and.
- 2:16Speaker 1: He think it was weird that it was you.
- 2:17Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 2:18Speaker 1: I don't know if anyone told him that it wasn't
- 2:20Speaker 1: going to be you. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, did
- 2:22Speaker 1: he ever know that it wasn't? He never thought you
- 2:24Speaker 1: were me.
- 2:25Speaker 6: Never addressed a He never addressed it and you can
- 2:28Speaker 6: tell it was a long night before because.
- 2:30Speaker 1: He was tired. Yeah, but it was a good interview, man.
- 2:32Speaker 1: It was cool talking though a couple of things. One
- 2:35Speaker 1: I do want to start with the guy that Dallas
- 2:36Speaker 1: Cowboy player died. Do you know Marshawn Neeland?
- 2:39Speaker 7: No?
- 2:40Speaker 1: Okay, So Cowboys second year defensive end Marshawn Neeland dies
- 2:43Speaker 1: at twenty four years old.
- 2:44Speaker 5: He's currently on the team, right, Mike.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I believe he was. I didn't know him, but I
- 2:48Speaker 1: believe he was on the team.
- 2:49Speaker 8: I believe he was the one who returned the block
- 2:51Speaker 8: punt last game.
- 2:52Speaker 1: What the team did not disclose in details how he died.
- 2:56Speaker 1: He was a second round pick in twenty twenty four
- 2:58Speaker 1: out of Western Michigan. Wow. He scored a touchdown on
- 3:02Speaker 1: Monday Night versus the Cardinals when the Cowboys blocked a
- 3:05Speaker 1: punt a huge play. Yeah, and they're not saying what
- 3:08Speaker 1: they're not saying wire how I guess we'll figure it out. Oh,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I gotta put heapones, Kevin.
- 3:11Speaker 5: I know, I kind of have my headphones close.
- 3:13Speaker 7: I have.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I can't big headphones. Yeah, that's what I need, monster sized.
- 3:24Speaker 5: Head you can put them behind you.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I think we have to lose the stupid hats.
- 3:27Speaker 5: No, sorry, I know.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Okays off this week? Okay, so big, Yeah.
- 3:37Speaker 5: That's the joke Brandon.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Brandon's like, why are you taking it off? Don't you
- 3:45Speaker 1: get it? It's funny because it's so big.
- 3:48Speaker 5: What are they called? What are those hats called?
- 3:50Speaker 1: They have a name though, right, Yeah, I don't know
- 3:52Speaker 1: what they're called.
- 3:53Speaker 5: When they first came out.
- 3:54Speaker 1: We made these, We bought a generic shell and then
- 3:57Speaker 1: had Abby paint them.
- 3:58Speaker 5: Oh that's the one she painted.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Is that didn't make Arkansas win? She paid it two
- 4:01Speaker 1: for me. Dude.
- 4:02Speaker 6: When those first came out, like that was the funniest
- 4:04Speaker 6: thing ever to see people wearing that.
- 4:06Speaker 1: What do you think about the UFC and the suspicious betting?
- 4:10Speaker 1: Do you know about it?
- 4:10Speaker 7: No?
- 4:10Speaker 5: I don't.
- 4:11Speaker 6: I saw a headline, but I thought I just thought
- 4:13Speaker 6: he was Dana White was talking about the other stuff.
- 4:16Speaker 1: What's going on there?
- 4:17Speaker 5: Great? I bet on UFC every weekend. What is happening?
- 4:21Speaker 1: Suspicious betting activity before a fight last weekend has led
- 4:24Speaker 1: to an unlikely partnership. The UFC in the FBI are
- 4:27Speaker 1: now actively working together in an investigation of wagering prior
- 4:31Speaker 1: to a fight between Isaac Dulgarian and Steve Garcia. Yadi
- 4:37Speaker 1: or del Vall I don't know, Oh no, no, the
- 4:41Speaker 1: word and is close to Dulgiyan, So it looks like
- 4:45Speaker 1: Isaac Dulgarian and Yadi a del val who that sws up.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Dana White says UFC was alerted to the potential problem
- 4:56Speaker 1: by Sports Wagering Watchdog Integrity Compliance three six. He specifically
- 5:00Speaker 1: concerning abnormal betting interest. What I had heard was right
- 5:04Speaker 1: before the fight, the odds shifted tremendously and the guy
- 5:07Speaker 1: who was the favorite ended up losing. He was minus
- 5:10Speaker 1: two fifty, but he lost in the first round by submission,
- 5:13Speaker 1: and there was a massive shift right before even with
- 5:15Speaker 1: the odds. Did you bet that one?
- 5:16Speaker 5: I'm looking I got Steve Garcia, which that was a.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Huge win for me.
- 5:23Speaker 5: What is it? Arnie delG Guillon, Doulgary.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Isaac Dulgarian Nope, I might have been an Arnie Isaac Dulgarian. Yeah,
- 5:31Speaker 1: look look at me. I lost on that one. Oh,
- 5:34Speaker 1: look at that. You need to call you need to
- 5:36Speaker 1: call the FBI media.
- 5:37Speaker 6: After this, he was favored minus one sixty two, which
- 5:41Speaker 6: isn't a heavy favorite.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I think it was shifting. Did you bet that right
- 5:44Speaker 1: before the match?
- 5:45Speaker 6: That might have been a live bet because one sixty
- 5:47Speaker 6: two is odd, it's usually not like a two.
- 5:51Speaker 5: Dang, that's crazy, dude, they got me?
- 5:55Speaker 1: Who do we want to be in the triangle this week?
- 5:58Speaker 5: What do you mean?
- 5:59Speaker 1: Oh, oh, well who got it? Who lost it last week? Well,
- 6:02Speaker 1: Kevin lost lost it, but he has a good record.
- 6:05Speaker 1: He has a good record. Get give it to give
- 6:08Speaker 1: it to Brandon.
- 6:10Speaker 9: Anyone's no part at.
- 6:11Speaker 6: The feeling that I have when I lose my leg
- 6:14Speaker 6: of it, Like it's sometimes I just kind of want
- 6:16Speaker 6: to like.
- 6:19Speaker 5: End it, like it's it's it's that feeling.
- 6:21Speaker 1: It's you don't want to kill yourself feeling. No, it's
- 6:25Speaker 1: not you don't want to kill yourself because you missed
- 6:27Speaker 1: one of the triangle.
- 6:28Speaker 6: It is because I let you guys, down, and not
- 6:29Speaker 6: only just you guys, all are listeners who like bet
- 6:32Speaker 6: on that too, Like I, nobody wants to lose people
- 6:34Speaker 6: money and I did.
- 6:36Speaker 1: That when you don't want to kill yourself though, because
- 6:38Speaker 1: you're one of the angle.
- 6:39Speaker 5: I'm not saying. I'm not saying I want to kill myself.
- 6:42Speaker 1: It's the it's what you said, It's the feeling of
- 6:44Speaker 1: like that. Okay, do you guys want to do it?
- 6:48Speaker 5: Brandon?
- 6:49Speaker 1: Do you guys feel good? Brandon? You can go first?
- 6:52Speaker 1: What is your what is your bet? All right, I'm
- 6:54Speaker 1: gonna do uh.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Indiana minus fourteen and a half overpinn State, Indiana is
- 7:01Speaker 2: like the cop out.
- 7:02Speaker 1: They are going to Penn State Indiana mine fourteen and
- 7:06Speaker 1: a half. That's all, Okay. The reason I didn't pick
- 7:09Speaker 1: that is because I've been picking it every week and
- 7:11Speaker 1: I feel like Penn State's actually a better team than
- 7:13Speaker 1: people give them credit for. They don't have their starting
- 7:16Speaker 1: quarterback obviously, but they still have a bunch of dudes,
- 7:19Speaker 1: and Indiana's been killing folks. I think eventually that has
- 7:24Speaker 1: to end. I think they'll still win, right, but that's
- 7:27Speaker 1: why I didn't pick them. But fifteen isn't killing folks.
- 7:31Speaker 1: You know, yeah, fair enough. I'm in a zag week.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Everybody's zigging. I'm zagging, Kevin.
- 7:39Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm gonna go with Yes, it's Alabama. Oh I
- 7:45Speaker 9: do have my Vandy shirt on. Yeah. I thought about
- 7:48Speaker 9: Vandy for a second there, But I'm gonna go with
- 7:49Speaker 9: Alabama minus ten is the last time I saw it?
- 7:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it's LSU at number four. Alabama Alabama minus ten.
- 7:56Speaker 1: All right, so far two favorites. Now there is a
- 7:59Speaker 1: new narrative of that possibly Oregon is not good and
- 8:04Speaker 1: not near as good as we thought because their biggest
- 8:06Speaker 1: win is well, Penn State. They killed Rutgers, isn't they Yeah,
- 8:11Speaker 1: but again I think we could beat Ruggers with us three. Yes,
- 8:15Speaker 1: that's four with Mike, And so the narrative is that
- 8:19Speaker 1: maybe Oregon is not as good as we thought they were.
- 8:22Speaker 1: But I think that Penn State win was actually bigger
- 8:25Speaker 1: than people are given a credit for. It was a
- 8:26Speaker 1: night game, it was a wide out. Aler was still
- 8:28Speaker 1: the quarterback. They James Franklin was still the coach. There
- 8:32Speaker 1: was some unity, there was some consistency, and Iowa is
- 8:36Speaker 1: starting to be looked at as a team that has
- 8:38Speaker 1: a chance to make it like, I don't even think
- 8:40Speaker 1: Iowa was in the Apee Pole, but they were ranked
- 8:42Speaker 1: twenty ath whenever the CFP come out came out. So
- 8:46Speaker 1: I'm going Oregon minus six and a half because most
- 8:49Speaker 1: people are thinking the Oregon maybe isn't as good. So
- 8:52Speaker 1: I'm fighting the zig. I'm going to zag. I'm going Oregon.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Is that good? I like it.
- 8:56Speaker 9: I didn't realize Iowa was six and two.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Yeah, they lost by one point. I think to Indiana.
- 9:03Speaker 1: If you look back, you can correct me on this
- 9:05Speaker 1: because I do have in front of me.
- 9:07Speaker 9: Yeah, on like a last second or a last minute
- 9:09Speaker 9: player long past. I do remember that.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think that that when is starting to
- 9:13Speaker 1: look better and better the more the season goes by,
- 9:16Speaker 1: because we're seeing Indiana as a real team.
- 9:20Speaker 9: Five Oh they did was scored twenty to fifteen. Okay, yeah,
- 9:24Speaker 9: I know it's through Iowa's fashion. So okay, that's gonna
- 9:28Speaker 9: be our parlay. Everybody good on that.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Yep, it's going to be Indiana minus fourteen and a half.
- 9:35Speaker 1: It's going to be Alabama minus ten and then over
- 9:38Speaker 1: on my side, I'm going to have Oregon minus six
- 9:42Speaker 1: and a half at number twenty Iowa Boom. Your team
- 9:46Speaker 1: hitting pay Dirt pays out. That's our parlay presented by DraftKings.
- 9:51Speaker 1: They'll put it up on the app, right, Mike, yep. Okay,
- 9:54Speaker 1: your team hitting pay Dirt pays out. So download the
- 9:57Speaker 1: DraftKings Sportsbook app. Use the code Bobby Sports. That's Code
- 10:00Speaker 1: Bobby Sports for new customers to turn five bucks into
- 10:02Speaker 1: three hundred dollars in bonus bets. If your bet wins
- 10:05Speaker 1: in partnership with DraftKings, the crown is yours. Now, let's
- 10:10Speaker 1: go over and talk with college football writer for on
- 10:13Speaker 1: three Sports and Yahoo's Sports Andy Staples. I'm a big
- 10:16Speaker 1: Andy Staples fan. Andy's worked for The Athletic and Sports
- 10:19Speaker 1: Illustrated and he's great at talking about nil and portal
- 10:23Speaker 1: and coaching changes. Also, if you're looking for a great
- 10:25Speaker 1: sports show, he hosts a daily show called Andy and
- 10:29Speaker 1: Ari on three, which you can listen to wherever you
- 10:31Speaker 1: get your podcasts. You can also follow him on socials.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Andy underscore Staples here he is Andy Staples. All right,
- 10:38Speaker 1: we have Andy Staples on with us. One of my
- 10:40Speaker 1: favorites when it comes to college football. It's kind of
- 10:42Speaker 1: a college football holiday because as soon as they put
- 10:45Speaker 1: out that first, here we go. These are the twelve.
- 10:47Speaker 1: It used to be, you know, they put out all
- 10:49Speaker 1: right there, this is the rankings. We have four teams,
- 10:53Speaker 1: but now it's twelve. I love the playoff. Who do
- 10:56Speaker 1: you think is the big I don't want to use
- 10:59Speaker 1: the word fraud, so let me let me reverse. Who
- 11:01Speaker 1: do you think on the list now in those twelve
- 11:04Speaker 1: probably will not be there whenever it's time to actually
- 11:07Speaker 1: have the tournament.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Well, Texas is number eleven.
- 11:09Speaker 10: I think they've got to play at Georgia and they
- 11:12Speaker 10: got to play Texas A and M. I think they're
- 11:13Speaker 10: going to lose one of those, at least they might
- 11:15Speaker 10: lose both of them. So I think that's that's probably
- 11:17Speaker 10: the easiest one to just say they're probably not going
- 11:20Speaker 10: to be there now the way it's the way it's
- 11:22Speaker 10: actually ranked. Like now, Texas wouldn't be in any way
- 11:25Speaker 10: because you've got the highest ranked ACC team is below
- 11:30Speaker 10: twelve as well, so you've got to you've got to
- 11:32Speaker 10: pull them up, and then you've got to pull another
- 11:34Speaker 10: potential conference champ up. So I wonder if one of
- 11:40Speaker 10: Texas Tech or b YU drops out they play this weekend.
- 11:44Speaker 4: I suspect they're going to wind up playing twice.
- 11:46Speaker 10: I think they're going to play this weekend and then
- 11:48Speaker 10: probably play again in the Big twelve title game. The
- 11:50Speaker 10: way there's, the way they're ranked right now, suggests to
- 11:53Speaker 10: me that if it goes a certain way, like say
- 11:56Speaker 10: Texas Tech wins this one BYU wins out, they they
- 12:00Speaker 10: still might both make it. But that's one of those two,
- 12:04Speaker 10: and especially if Texa Tech loses the BYU this weekend,
- 12:06Speaker 10: I think you'll see them drop out.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I feel like the AEC is probably going to get
- 12:11Speaker 1: one slot unless there's again some magic that happens and
- 12:16Speaker 1: that Virginia is in. But I feel like that should
- 12:18Speaker 1: just a placeholder for acc You feel like that's accurate.
- 12:21Speaker 10: Oh yeah, yeah, because Virginia's live so dangerously all season
- 12:25Speaker 10: and you look at the rest of their schedule. They
- 12:29Speaker 10: it's not exceedingly tough, but they also could lose any
- 12:34Speaker 10: game on that schedule. They play Wake Forest at Duke
- 12:37Speaker 10: and then they play Virginia Tech at Duke is the
- 12:40Speaker 10: really key one there because Duke is also in the
- 12:42Speaker 10: mix for the AEC title.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Duke only has one conference loss.
- 12:45Speaker 10: They just happen to have two non conference losses, So
- 12:48Speaker 10: the glut at the top of the ACC is really
- 12:51Speaker 10: really weird because Virginia's undefeated in conference play though they've
- 12:55Speaker 10: lost to a conference team like they played NC State
- 12:58Speaker 10: and lost, but that was scheduled as a non conference game,
- 13:01Speaker 10: So very strange year in the ACC. And Louisville is
- 13:07Speaker 10: the one I think probably could wind up being the
- 13:10Speaker 10: best team in the ACC and could wind up being
- 13:13Speaker 10: in the playoff. I think that would make a lot
- 13:15Speaker 10: of sense. But the one I would watch out for
- 13:16Speaker 10: in the ACC is Pittsburgh. They they changed quarterbacks after
- 13:20Speaker 10: the Louisville loss. They only have one loss in conference play,
- 13:23Speaker 10: and Mason Heinscheal their freshman quarterback. They're five and oh
- 13:26Speaker 10: sin since they've put him in the starting lineup, so
- 13:28Speaker 10: they are a tricky one. And they play Miami and
- 13:31Speaker 10: Georgia Tech down the stretch, so they could have a
- 13:33Speaker 10: lot to say about this.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Is there a way because I haven't run through the
- 13:36Speaker 1: scenarios that Georgia Tech wins out but doesn't end up
- 13:41Speaker 1: in the AC Championship game. Therefore they could get in
- 13:43Speaker 1: with just a single loss. I feel like that would
- 13:45Speaker 1: be a possibility of a team not winning the championship,
- 13:49Speaker 1: the conference championship is still getting in.
- 13:51Speaker 10: Yes, that is definitely possible because it would depend on
- 13:54Speaker 10: tie breakers. You probably need Virginia to win out, so
- 13:57Speaker 10: Virginia would take one ACC Championship game slot, and then
- 14:00Speaker 10: because of tiebreakers, some other team with one loss in
- 14:03Speaker 10: the ACC goes in over Georgia Tech. But as you said,
- 14:07Speaker 10: in your scenario, Georgia Tech wins out, which means they
- 14:09Speaker 10: beat Georgia at the end of the season, and so
- 14:12Speaker 10: they'd have a win over probably a playoff team. We're
- 14:14Speaker 10: assuming Georgia will come into that game with only one loss. Still,
- 14:17Speaker 10: maybe they won't. They do play Texas next week, but
- 14:20Speaker 10: eleven to one, with a win at Georgia at the
- 14:22Speaker 10: end of the season, probably it's gonna get you in. So, Bobby,
- 14:27Speaker 10: I think that is a is a very plausible scenario,
- 14:31Speaker 10: and the Georgia fans are probably plausible guys.
- 14:34Speaker 4: They took you to eight overtimes in Alfens last year.
- 14:37Speaker 10: It's not completely out of their own possibility.
- 14:41Speaker 1: They have Memphis in again, I'm gonna put that as
- 14:43Speaker 1: a placeholder for whomever wins the and it doesn't have
- 14:45Speaker 1: to be the American obviously, like a James Madison or
- 14:48Speaker 1: somebody else could could squeeze in as well. But it's
- 14:51Speaker 1: like Memphis, it's a USF right, like one of those three,
- 14:55Speaker 1: who else am I missing that could possibly get that spot.
- 14:58Speaker 10: I think it's the American champ because I think that
- 15:00Speaker 10: the American is really deep at the top this year,
- 15:03Speaker 10: and so JMU has the one loss to Louisville.
- 15:06Speaker 4: They're the best team in the Sun Belt.
- 15:08Speaker 10: But I think if the committee is comparing the path
- 15:11Speaker 10: that they had to take, it's a lot harder to
- 15:14Speaker 10: get through the American this year than it is to
- 15:15Speaker 10: get through the Sun Belt.
- 15:16Speaker 4: So I do think it's an American champ.
- 15:18Speaker 10: You've got Memphis and Tulane playing this week, which feels
- 15:21Speaker 10: like an elimination game. Both have one loss in conference,
- 15:24Speaker 10: but you also have USF, which only has one conference loss,
- 15:27Speaker 10: North Texas only has one conference loss, and Navy only
- 15:30Speaker 10: has one conference loss. It's gonna be one of those
- 15:33Speaker 10: five that wins the championship. I think the American Champ
- 15:36Speaker 10: is the winner, but like you said, it's probably a
- 15:38Speaker 10: placeholder because I could not tell you which of those
- 15:41Speaker 10: five is gonna win.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I didn't send you anything ahead of time. Andy's like
- 15:44Speaker 1: one of my favorite guys to listen to just in general,
- 15:47Speaker 1: like across the board, even when you do your own show.
- 15:49Speaker 1: So I'm just gonna throw some stuff at you because
- 15:52Speaker 1: some guys want to know. But I'm gonna ask you
- 15:53Speaker 1: about Virginia specifically. This is this an example of a
- 15:56Speaker 1: team spending some money and actually getting good? And is
- 15:58Speaker 1: it a bit I would compare to Indiana how we
- 16:01Speaker 1: learn that Signetti he comes in a coach can win quick.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I feel like Virginia spent some money and got good,
- 16:06Speaker 1: and other teams if they just commit money, they can
- 16:08Speaker 1: also get good.
- 16:09Speaker 10: Your thoughts, well, there's two schools of thought on this,
- 16:12Speaker 10: and it is a fine line, I think.
- 16:15Speaker 4: So you're exactly right.
- 16:17Speaker 10: What Virginia did is they said, we can fire Tony
- 16:20Speaker 10: Elliott now and pay him buy out money, or we
- 16:23Speaker 10: can use that money to better the roster and give
- 16:26Speaker 10: him a better chance. So they went out, they get
- 16:29Speaker 10: Chandler Morris, they beef up that roster and they're clearly better.
- 16:34Speaker 10: So that's a case where that works. Now I'm looking
- 16:38Speaker 10: at Wisconsin right now, where there's a possibility they can
- 16:41Speaker 10: go too and ten this year they have said we
- 16:44Speaker 10: would like to bring Luke Fickle back. We just want
- 16:46Speaker 10: to give him more resources to donate to the roster
- 16:49Speaker 10: and see if that gets better. I don't know if
- 16:52Speaker 10: that gets any better. Because Tony Elliott was close, there
- 16:55Speaker 10: were games that were close, like Wisconsin doesn't feel competitive.
- 16:58Speaker 10: So I think you have to examine each in this
- 17:00Speaker 10: situation individually. And Tony Elliott is in it was in
- 17:03Speaker 10: a really different situation just because of everything that's happened
- 17:08Speaker 10: since he's been there. For those who don't remember, there
- 17:10Speaker 10: was a situation early in his tenure at Virginia where
- 17:13Speaker 10: a former Virginia player walked on a bus after a
- 17:16Speaker 10: school trip and murdered multiple other Virginia players, and Tony
- 17:21Speaker 10: elliotts had to deal with that and the fallout from that,
- 17:24Speaker 10: and so.
- 17:26Speaker 4: His tenure has been viewed a little bit differently.
- 17:29Speaker 10: It has not been a purely wins and losses kind
- 17:31Speaker 10: of thing, and so I think that's probably something that
- 17:35Speaker 10: was on their minds last year as they were trying
- 17:36Speaker 10: to figure out what do we do about this situation,
- 17:39Speaker 10: how do we best use our resources. But I do
- 17:41Speaker 10: think people are going to look at this and if
- 17:44Speaker 10: you feel like your coach is close. If you feel
- 17:46Speaker 10: like you like the culture that the coach brings, you
- 17:48Speaker 10: feel like the players like playing for that guy, and
- 17:52Speaker 10: you're just a few players away, then that's when you
- 17:55Speaker 10: do put more money toward the roster, when you feel
- 17:57Speaker 10: like it doesn't matter what the coach does. Like Auburn
- 18:01Speaker 10: and Hugh Freeze this past week, it didn't matter what
- 18:03Speaker 10: Hugh Freeze did. The same problems kept coming up over
- 18:06Speaker 10: and over and over again. You could have thrown a
- 18:09Speaker 10: bunch of more a bunch of more money at that
- 18:11Speaker 10: problem and it still wasn't going to change anything. So
- 18:13Speaker 10: you have to know as an ad what you have.
- 18:16Speaker 10: Are you actually close or is it somebody who's just
- 18:20Speaker 10: going to give you the same set of problems over.
- 18:21Speaker 4: And over again.
- 18:23Speaker 1: So I am a booster donor at Arkansas, but I
- 18:27Speaker 1: don't want to. I've chosen not to fly too close
- 18:29Speaker 1: to the sun, like I've had to learn, like I
- 18:31Speaker 1: don't want to not like people because I love it
- 18:33Speaker 1: so much and I've had it. You know, I'm not
- 18:35Speaker 1: going to like every coach we hire, and I don't
- 18:37Speaker 1: want to. So I've chosen to not fly so close
- 18:39Speaker 1: to the sun. But I have been privy to some
- 18:40Speaker 1: emails and I won't give specifics, but they have been
- 18:43Speaker 1: feeling out certain coaches, but not to the coach is
- 18:46Speaker 1: going to go from like a person to a person
- 18:48Speaker 1: that knows a person that over coach and you know
- 18:50Speaker 1: this better than anybody, and they would throw things out
- 18:52Speaker 1: like hey would they can They're in they're middle of
- 18:55Speaker 1: their season with a team that's winning, and they're going, hey,
- 18:58Speaker 1: would this person consider ten million a year? And it's
- 19:01Speaker 1: got to go through all these layers. That's happening a
- 19:03Speaker 1: lot everywhere right now, right where it's just media and
- 19:07Speaker 1: intermediaries talking intermediaries.
- 19:09Speaker 10: It absolutely is, and sometimes it's pretty cut and dried,
- 19:12Speaker 10: like search firm guy calls coaches, agent says, what would
- 19:17Speaker 10: what would it take to get this person to school X?
- 19:20Speaker 10: And that's why you hire a search firm. It's I
- 19:23Speaker 10: think people get it confused. They think these ads hire
- 19:26Speaker 10: these search firms to pick the coach for them or
- 19:29Speaker 10: to give them a candidate pool.
- 19:30Speaker 4: That's not what it is.
- 19:31Speaker 10: You hire them so you have cover so that when
- 19:34Speaker 10: someone says, have you contacted so and so you can
- 19:37Speaker 10: say and not be lying, no, I have not.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Did your search firm contact them. Yes they have, but
- 19:43Speaker 4: you don't have to say that.
- 19:44Speaker 10: And that's exactly what's going on right now, Bobby and
- 19:48Speaker 10: Arkansas is fascinating to me. I want to ask you
- 19:51Speaker 10: this because I watched what they did with John Calipery
- 19:54Speaker 10: and basketball, and they took big swings, but they also
- 20:00Speaker 10: when they went to him, they said, we are going
- 20:03Speaker 10: to make sure you are fully resourced in terms of
- 20:07Speaker 10: the roster that you can put together. And Tyson Foods
- 20:10Speaker 10: obviously donate quite a bit of money, and Arkansas has
- 20:14Speaker 10: big corporate backing. For those who don't know, I know
- 20:17Speaker 10: your listeners probably understand that completely because you talk about
- 20:20Speaker 10: him a little bit. But for the national audience, I
- 20:23Speaker 10: always try to explain, like, when you go to Northwest Arkansas,
- 20:25Speaker 10: it's not what you think it's going to be. It
- 20:28Speaker 10: is a place with a bunch of corporate headquarters, a
- 20:32Speaker 10: lot of new money, and Arkansas has access to that
- 20:37Speaker 10: in ways that other schools don't. And if you can
- 20:40Speaker 10: get your corporate money excited at Arkansas, you can make
- 20:43Speaker 10: a splash. And so that's what I wonder is because
- 20:47Speaker 10: we talk about the various candidates for this job, but
- 20:50Speaker 10: I kind of think that's one where you could get
- 20:52Speaker 10: the mystery person who you didn't think was movable because
- 20:57Speaker 10: they can get that corporate money excited.
- 21:00Speaker 1: So specifically, John Tyson and Calipari had a relationship like
- 21:04Speaker 1: that's how that's how basketball essentially happened is a relationship.
- 21:09Speaker 1: The human element of John Tyson, big Arkansas guy loves John.
- 21:13Speaker 1: They've been friends forever and Kentucky and Calipari were not
- 21:18Speaker 1: They were not good. They were going to couples therapy
- 21:19Speaker 1: at the time. Obviously, yes, yes, it was not going.
- 21:24Speaker 1: So because of that relationship, mister Tyson stepped in and said, Hey,
- 21:28Speaker 1: basically I got this. I'm gonna need a little help,
- 21:30Speaker 1: but I got this. So but what's happening now, m Roughly,
- 21:36Speaker 1: I'll be very generic about what's happening now is all
- 21:39Speaker 1: these big all these dudes or women with money, they
- 21:43Speaker 1: want to have so much control if they give so
- 21:45Speaker 1: much money, and that that ends up.
- 21:48Speaker 4: Business Texas for so so long.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's starting because there is a ton of
- 21:53Speaker 1: corporate money. You could go through trucking companies or Chicken
- 21:56Speaker 1: companies or Walmart and they all buy buildings up there
- 21:59Speaker 1: and they can own the building. The problem is it's
- 22:02Speaker 1: hard to pull in billionaire money if the billionaire is
- 22:05Speaker 1: not pulling all the strings. And I'm feeling thinking, knowing
- 22:10Speaker 1: a bit, that that's what's happening right now, that if
- 22:12Speaker 1: we could pull that money, we'd pull up Bear Bryant,
- 22:15Speaker 1: put them through the machine, he'd be alive again, he'd know,
- 22:19Speaker 1: it would all be We'd have the resources to do that.
- 22:21Speaker 1: But it's hard to combine all of it because all
- 22:23Speaker 1: of it wants to have control, and that's where the
- 22:25Speaker 1: issue lies.
- 22:27Speaker 10: Yeah, and that's the hardest problem. That was the problem
- 22:29Speaker 10: with Texas for so long. I remember talking to somebody
- 22:32Speaker 10: who worked there and they've gotten They've gotten everybody on
- 22:34Speaker 10: the same page at this point, which which is hard
- 22:36Speaker 10: to do. It's credit to their athletic director Chrystal Connie
- 22:39Speaker 10: for doing it. But I remember talking to somebody who
- 22:41Speaker 10: worked there ten fifteen years ago and they said, you
- 22:45Speaker 10: have these guys who are either multimillionaires in some cases billionaires,
- 22:49Speaker 10: that they are accustomed to whatever they say, everybody jumps
- 22:53Speaker 10: and does exactly what they want. But the problem is
- 22:56Speaker 10: when you have two billionaires and they want opposite things,
- 23:00Speaker 10: one of them is not going to go what they
- 23:01Speaker 10: want and then they freak out and they're not used
- 23:04Speaker 10: to that. So it is such a strange situation, And
- 23:08Speaker 10: like Arkansas is fascinating to me because I go back
- 23:11Speaker 10: to what Hunter Yurchik said when he fired Sam Pittman,
- 23:14Speaker 10: because he said, Hey, we are resourcing John Caliperry in
- 23:17Speaker 10: the way he needs to be resourced to compete at
- 23:19Speaker 10: the highest level. We were not resourcing Sam Pittman in
- 23:23Speaker 10: the way he needed to be resourced.
- 23:25Speaker 4: So that's the question I.
- 23:26Speaker 10: Would ask if I'm a candidate at Arkansas, is are
- 23:31Speaker 10: you going to give me the money.
- 23:33Speaker 4: To compete at the top of the SEC? Because I
- 23:35Speaker 4: do think you can. Bobby. I had a segment on
- 23:39Speaker 4: my show where we were talking about this.
- 23:41Speaker 10: This is before Sam got fired, and somebody had asked
- 23:45Speaker 10: me what I thought of the job, and I said, well,
- 23:46Speaker 10: I don't know, especially at a time when Missouri is
- 23:50Speaker 10: good and Ole miss is good, I just don't know
- 23:52Speaker 10: how many of those level of SEC programs can be
- 23:55Speaker 10: good at the same time. And a person in the
- 23:58Speaker 10: chat goes, Andy, what did you think of the old
- 24:00Speaker 10: miss job before before Lane Kiffin was hired, Like when
- 24:03Speaker 10: when it was Matt Luke and he was getting fired.
- 24:06Speaker 4: What did you say about the whole miss job? And
- 24:08Speaker 4: I'm like, you know what, I said the same thing.
- 24:10Speaker 4: So I'm wrong.
- 24:11Speaker 10: I'm wrong on this because if you make the right higher,
- 24:15Speaker 10: be it Lane Kiffin at ole Miss, Eli Drinquitz at Missouri,
- 24:19Speaker 10: you can change your fortunes.
- 24:22Speaker 4: In the SEC.
- 24:23Speaker 10: You can move now, maybe you don't move all the
- 24:26Speaker 10: way to the top, but you can move into the
- 24:28Speaker 10: upper echelon with the right higher. So Arkansas has a
- 24:32Speaker 10: chance here. And that's the thing that like, I'm not
- 24:34Speaker 10: sure in the old system pre and il pre transfer
- 24:38Speaker 10: portal that Arkansas would have had a chance to move up.
- 24:42Speaker 4: Now it does.
- 24:43Speaker 1: What about your school? What about Florida? What's happening?
- 24:48Speaker 10: That was crazy because the fan base wants Lane Kiffen.
- 24:52Speaker 10: They're hell bent on getting Lane Kiffin. They think he
- 24:54Speaker 10: is the spiritual successor to Steve Spurrier. That's all they
- 24:58Speaker 10: want that. They don't don't want anybody else. But the
- 25:01Speaker 10: fact of the matter is Lane Kiffin has a really
- 25:03Speaker 10: good job. Right now, Ole Miss may go eleven and
- 25:06Speaker 10: one al Miss may play for the SEC championship. It's
- 25:09Speaker 10: not fifteen years ago. Where if Florida or LSU wanted
- 25:13Speaker 10: the Ole Miss coach. They just snapped their fingers and
- 25:15Speaker 10: get him. It doesn't work that way anymore because the
- 25:18Speaker 10: ceilings are actually pretty similar and Ole Miss gives Lane
- 25:20Speaker 10: Kiffin everything they want, everything he wants.
- 25:23Speaker 4: He has almost complete control.
- 25:26Speaker 10: And I'm not sure going to get that at Florida
- 25:27Speaker 10: and I'm not sure going to get that at LSU.
- 25:30Speaker 10: And also, can you wait if Lane Kiffin is going
- 25:33Speaker 10: deep into the playoff, even if he wants to come,
- 25:36Speaker 10: can you wait on it? So that's a really interesting situation.
- 25:40Speaker 10: So then you talk about who would the other candidates be,
- 25:43Speaker 10: and I think it'd be Jeff Brahm at Louisville would
- 25:46Speaker 10: be a really good candidate for Flora's job, Eli Drinkwitz
- 25:49Speaker 10: at Missouri, Jed Fish at Washington's of Florida grad. I think,
- 25:52Speaker 10: you know, he did an amazing job rebuilding Arizona. So far,
- 25:55Speaker 10: so good in the Washington tenure. But it's not going
- 26:01Speaker 10: to make the fan base happy unless it's Lane Kiffin.
- 26:05Speaker 10: And so they'll have to do some massaging. If they
- 26:08Speaker 10: can't yet Lane, they'll have to deal with, oh, you know,
- 26:10Speaker 10: maybe don't win the press conference. I'm not a big
- 26:13Speaker 10: believer in. You have to win the press conference, you
- 26:15Speaker 10: have to win games. And the people I just named,
- 26:19Speaker 10: Jeff Brahm, Eli Drinkquitz, Jetfish, all of them are really
- 26:22Speaker 10: good coaches, all of them are good recruiters. They could
- 26:25Speaker 10: all succeed at Florida. I do think Lane would be
- 26:28Speaker 10: the best choice, but I'm not sure he's going to
- 26:30Speaker 10: be available. I think there's a chance. Lane's just he's
- 26:33Speaker 10: good at ol Miss.
- 26:35Speaker 1: We've seen extensions from Signetti from rule from these guys
- 26:38Speaker 1: mid season to go Hey, I'm saying we haven't seen
- 26:40Speaker 1: that from Lane. Is that an indicator of anything.
- 26:43Speaker 10: Yeah, it's either he's driving the price up still or
- 26:46Speaker 10: he is seriously considering a move. And the fact that
- 26:50Speaker 10: LSU's open changes the math on all this too, because
- 26:52Speaker 10: I think before LSU opened, the one he would consider
- 26:56Speaker 10: leading for is Florida. But I think you would probably
- 26:58Speaker 10: consider leading for LSU as well, And so if I
- 27:03Speaker 10: were him, I would milk this for all it's worth.
- 27:05Speaker 10: I would drive the price as high as human as possible.
- 27:08Speaker 4: And then do that.
- 27:09Speaker 10: Really it comes down to, like I just said, because
- 27:12Speaker 10: they can all pay about the same, I think you
- 27:14Speaker 10: can win the national title at any of the three.
- 27:16Speaker 10: If you do it right, it just comes down to
- 27:19Speaker 10: where you want to work, and so he's going to
- 27:21Speaker 10: have to decide that.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I was looking at the odds because they put him
- 27:25Speaker 1: out a Big Ten championship game, and I think Ohio
- 27:28Speaker 1: State is three and a half point favorite if they
- 27:30Speaker 1: were to play today over Indiana. Who's the better team
- 27:33Speaker 1: in your opinion.
- 27:35Speaker 10: I think it's Ohio State because they have the best
- 27:38Speaker 10: players in the country at certain positions. So Caleb Downs
- 27:44Speaker 10: and rvel Rees are the two best defensive players in
- 27:47Speaker 10: the country, like not just at their positions, they're the
- 27:50Speaker 10: two best in the country and they're on the same team.
- 27:54Speaker 10: Jeremiah Smith is the best receiver in he well, in
- 27:59Speaker 10: five years he will be the best receiver in the world.
- 28:01Speaker 10: He will be better than Justin Jefferson or Jamar Chase.
- 28:03Speaker 10: But he's definitely the best receiver in college football right now.
- 28:06Speaker 10: Carnel Tait, if he's not number two, he's top five
- 28:11Speaker 10: best receivers. And then Julian's saying, I gotta tell you,
- 28:15Speaker 10: he's evolved as the season has gone on, and I
- 28:17Speaker 10: think that they've handled his development really well.
- 28:19Speaker 4: Where if you go back to that Texas game.
- 28:21Speaker 10: They were not putting it in positions where he had
- 28:23Speaker 10: to be superman or do anything really drastic. I was
- 28:27Speaker 10: at the Penn State game last week in Bobby, and
- 28:29Speaker 10: this guy is awesome. Like they're taking the chains off
- 28:33Speaker 10: a little bit, letting him do some things, and he
- 28:37Speaker 10: may wind up being the best quarterback in the country.
- 28:39Speaker 10: I still think that's probably Ty Simpson right now in Alabama.
- 28:43Speaker 10: But the way Julian saying is developing week to week,
- 28:47Speaker 10: it's pretty scary, and so I think that's why I
- 28:50Speaker 10: would take Ohio State in that matchup that stead I
- 28:53Speaker 10: have a hard time picking against Kurt Signette.
- 28:55Speaker 4: I have a rule on the show now.
- 28:56Speaker 10: I think I picked UCLA to cover twenty four and
- 28:59Speaker 10: a half against a few weeks ago.
- 29:01Speaker 4: I'm done with that.
- 29:02Speaker 10: Like if Indiana's favored, I'm picking Indiana to cover. Like
- 29:05Speaker 10: they they just dominate people. They crushed people, and I
- 29:10Speaker 10: think they're gonna keep doing that. Like there are two
- 29:12Speaker 10: touchdown favorite at Penn State this week. Imagine going, you know,
- 29:16Speaker 10: into a time machine to the middle of twenty twenty
- 29:19Speaker 10: three when Indiana was busy going three to nine and saying, hey,
- 29:24Speaker 10: in two years the Hoosiers are going to go on
- 29:26Speaker 10: the road too Happy Valley and there'll be two touchdown
- 29:29Speaker 10: favorites the person would have had you committed.
- 29:32Speaker 1: That Indiana Team's interesting because again when he came over,
- 29:35Speaker 1: he brought a lot of jam you guys with him.
- 29:36Speaker 1: But it didn't feel like and again the headline just
- 29:39Speaker 1: could have buried the other, but it didn't feel like
- 29:41Speaker 1: it was a Virginia type situation where they just invested
- 29:44Speaker 1: a whole bunch more money. It's like they invested in
- 29:46Speaker 1: the guy and he brought some of his guys and
- 29:48Speaker 1: it wasn't a We're going to toss a ton of
- 29:50Speaker 1: NIO money out at least that first year. Am I
- 29:52Speaker 1: correct about that it was more of a coach u
- 29:54Speaker 1: ult thing.
- 29:56Speaker 10: Yeah, it's a coach culture thing, and it's an understing.
- 29:58Speaker 10: And the thing is they also did some stuff with
- 30:00Speaker 10: some of the guys they inherited. I don't think people realize,
- 30:04Speaker 10: like Carter Smith, their left tackle, was one of the
- 30:07Speaker 10: guys they inherited.
- 30:07Speaker 4: I believe he. I believe he's Simon Indiana out of
- 30:12Speaker 4: high school.
- 30:12Speaker 10: I'm trying to remember what they had one lineman who
- 30:15Speaker 10: had transferred in from Wisconsin that they ended up doing something,
- 30:18Speaker 10: but he had transferred in when Tom Allen was there.
- 30:21Speaker 10: So they've found ways to take these guys that were
- 30:26Speaker 10: not at another school, that were not at James Madison,
- 30:29Speaker 10: and they've gotten a lot out of them too. But
- 30:31Speaker 10: it also helps that they brought this core from James Madison.
- 30:34Speaker 10: Elijah Surratt, D'Angelo Pond's, you know, Aidan Fisher that knew
- 30:39Speaker 10: exactly what Kurt Signetti expected.
- 30:41Speaker 4: But it's funny because people now.
- 30:43Speaker 10: Make that the excuse when because I think I call
- 30:45Speaker 10: Kurt Signetti the destroyer of excuses. All these coaches that say,
- 30:49Speaker 10: well I need time, this is a bill, this is
- 30:51Speaker 10: a process. Well, Kurt Signetti has put the lie to
- 30:55Speaker 10: all of that. If you're good enough, you don't need time.
- 30:57Speaker 10: And they said, well yeah, but he brought his own players.
- 31:00Speaker 10: He brought his players from the Sun Belt, Like, you're
- 31:03Speaker 10: not supposed to be able to do this.
- 31:04Speaker 4: I think it's just he's a really good coach.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Final question, we were talking before he came on about
- 31:10Speaker 1: all the things that you're doing because you're in a
- 31:12Speaker 1: lot of different places. How are you not repeating your
- 31:14Speaker 1: same material in different places? Because I find it's difficult
- 31:18Speaker 1: for me to do too. But again, especially right now,
- 31:20Speaker 1: you're all over the place. How are you trying to
- 31:23Speaker 1: keep things independent of each other?
- 31:24Speaker 10: Well, So I have my show at on three, which
- 31:26Speaker 10: is me and Ari Wasserman together, and a lot of
- 31:29Speaker 10: it is so Bobby, you're your solo, which, God bless you.
- 31:33Speaker 4: I don't know how you do it.
- 31:34Speaker 10: I'm terrible solo and can't imagine just talking into the
- 31:38Speaker 10: void because I always wonder what people are thinking and
- 31:41Speaker 10: what there's If I can't get a reaction, I start
- 31:45Speaker 10: losing confidence.
- 31:46Speaker 4: So I like working with other people on shows.
- 31:49Speaker 10: So I have Ari Wasseron as my co hostedt on three,
- 31:51Speaker 10: and he is a lunatic and thinks differently than every
- 31:57Speaker 10: other human on earth. So anything I bounce off of
- 32:00Speaker 10: Ari on our show is going to go in a
- 32:02Speaker 10: completely different direction than any other conversation I have, whether
- 32:06Speaker 10: I'm a guest on somebody's show or I also do
- 32:08Speaker 10: a show at Yahoo called The College Football Inquirer with
- 32:11Speaker 10: Ross Dellinger and Stephen Godfrey. We can do the same
- 32:14Speaker 10: and we have done this where same day, same topic.
- 32:18Speaker 10: It's completely different because the way those guys interpret everything
- 32:22Speaker 10: and the way our interprets everything are completely different, so
- 32:26Speaker 10: they'll take me in different directions too. But yeah, it's
- 32:29Speaker 10: funny because there are times though, when it's a big
- 32:32Speaker 10: week and you're doing a lot of shows that you're like, Okay,
- 32:35Speaker 10: I wonder how many people like, what's the Venn diagram?
- 32:38Speaker 10: With people who listened to that last show I did
- 32:40Speaker 10: and who listened to this show. I got a good
- 32:42Speaker 10: joke off on it last show, so maybe I can
- 32:44Speaker 10: squeeze it out here.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Too, Andy underscore Staples. I'm a massive fan of what
- 32:49Speaker 1: you do and how you present it. I really appreciate
- 32:52Speaker 1: the time, and yeah we'll put in the notes we
- 32:54Speaker 1: were talking about before you came on how to catch
- 32:56Speaker 1: all your shows. But Andy, thank you for the time, man,
- 32:58Speaker 1: and hope you have a great rest of the week.
- 33:00Speaker 4: Thanks so much, Bobby, I appreciate it.

- 34:24Speaker 1: I'm surprised when looking at the men's basketball odds that
- 34:28Speaker 1: Arkansas isn't a top ten team, right. And I'm not
- 34:30Speaker 1: being a homer here because that last year I was like,
- 34:32Speaker 1: I don't think we have it to win at all,
- 34:34Speaker 1: and they would go pretty far. I think we have
- 34:37Speaker 1: a shot to win at all.
- 34:38Speaker 6: But they're being haters because nobody knows anything. It's like
- 34:41Speaker 6: they haven't played anyone. All these teams that haven't played.
- 34:44Speaker 1: None of them. But Purdue's gonna be great. Yeah, but yeah,
- 34:47Speaker 1: everybody loves Painter the coach, and Houston's probably gonna win
- 34:51Speaker 1: the Big Twelve and they're they're number one, a plus nine.
- 34:53Speaker 6: To fifty Perdue played like Memorial High School and they
- 34:56Speaker 6: didn't look great.
- 34:57Speaker 1: They did, but their guys came back. Yeah yeah, I know,
- 35:02Speaker 1: except for one I think, but their whole team came back.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Kentucky and Yukon Duke Michigan, Florida BYU Saint John's Louisville, Kansas.
- 35:09Speaker 1: I'm telling you, I don't ever say smart money, but
- 35:13Speaker 1: I would bet Arkansas because the odds one are going
- 35:15Speaker 1: to be so high and we're really good to win
- 35:18Speaker 1: it all, but yeah, but you can always cash out or.
- 35:23Speaker 6: Ken yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, how about like an Elite eight,
- 35:26Speaker 6: but again you can bet to win at all and
- 35:27Speaker 6: if they make the Elite A, you go and cash
- 35:28Speaker 6: out and get you money.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Okay, that's not bad. And then all of a sudden
- 35:31Speaker 1: they're playing in the Elite and get somebody who lost
- 35:34Speaker 1: their power forward and you're like, well, let's keep going
- 35:36Speaker 1: with this thing. But anyway, I saw that and as
- 35:38Speaker 1: a little shocked. How's kids sports going? Weird?
- 35:41Speaker 6: So right now, my twelve year olds trying out for
- 35:44Speaker 6: the middle school basketball team.
- 35:45Speaker 1: It's a two week long tryout.
- 35:49Speaker 6: Like I don't know about you guys, but when I
- 35:51Speaker 6: was in school, it was one day and it lasted
- 35:53Speaker 6: maybe an hour and they're like all right, you go
- 35:56Speaker 6: the sheet of paper the next day and you're like, oh,
- 35:58Speaker 6: my name's not on the list.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Cool, I didn't make it. But like my son's, this
- 36:02Speaker 1: is two weeks. It isn't for multiple teams, Like, are
- 36:04Speaker 1: they're multiple?
- 36:05Speaker 6: No, it's one team and they're gonna I think they're
- 36:08Speaker 6: picking twelve kids. Twelve is the number. I think there
- 36:12Speaker 6: are maybe twenty five trying out. I don't know the fact, dude,
- 36:17Speaker 6: every dad like we look at each other like every
- 36:19Speaker 6: time we drop off the kids and we're not we're
- 36:21Speaker 6: not allowed in.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Uh. They take Yeah, that's weird. You said that about
- 36:24Speaker 1: basketball too. They tape the windows, They send a note out.
- 36:27Speaker 1: What's doing to your kids?
- 36:29Speaker 5: I don't know what I'm saying, dude.
- 36:30Speaker 6: They send a note out and said no peeking through
- 36:32Speaker 6: the windows. Absolutely no parents invited to the tryouts.
- 36:35Speaker 1: And I understand why. I understand why, but two weeks
- 36:37Speaker 1: seems lot a lot. The taping of the windows feels weird. Yeah, yeah,
- 36:41Speaker 1: you're telling me. I'm the dad. I'm like, what are
- 36:43Speaker 1: they doing on there? So you have drop them off
- 36:44Speaker 1: for two weeks and you don't.
- 36:45Speaker 6: Know no, that today's the last, the last tryout day,
- 36:47Speaker 6: and then they find out next week if they made
- 36:49Speaker 6: the team or not, which pretty sure my son makes
- 36:52Speaker 6: the team. He's a good basketball player, but he's not
- 36:56Speaker 6: told this is basketball.
- 36:57Speaker 1: I said baseball, that was basketball? Got it? Yeah?
- 37:00Speaker 9: So does he feel about it?
- 37:01Speaker 1: He thinks he's gonna make it.
- 37:02Speaker 6: He's got a good gauge, he knows this is the
- 37:06Speaker 6: first this is for the school.
- 37:08Speaker 1: But didn't they have a tryout where you weren't invited, Like,
- 37:09Speaker 1: it's very similar.
- 37:10Speaker 6: This is like three years ago, and it was to
- 37:12Speaker 6: get into a league, got it, And that was like
- 37:14Speaker 6: we can sit out the doors, sit outside the gym
- 37:16Speaker 6: doors or whatever.
- 37:17Speaker 5: And I get it.
- 37:18Speaker 6: You don't want you don't want the parents in there
- 37:20Speaker 6: yelling at the kids, or the kids getting distracted by
- 37:23Speaker 6: looking at the parents to make sure they're doing good
- 37:24Speaker 6: at the tryouts. I understand that part. But the two
- 37:28Speaker 6: weeks of an uninvited closed door tryout is bizarre to me.
- 37:33Speaker 1: But you understand why not the two weeks, but the
- 37:37Speaker 1: no parents.
- 37:38Speaker 5: No parents, I understand, I do.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Two weeks that seem like a long time. There are
- 37:41Speaker 1: some parents that are too much. Do you think you're
- 37:44Speaker 1: too much of Nope, you say sometimes.
- 37:46Speaker 6: That you not on practices, No, But I think it's
- 37:49Speaker 6: just in general games. Yeah, sometimes when you're watching a game,
- 37:53Speaker 6: you don't realize how much you're yelling, you know, like
- 37:57Speaker 6: and then my wife, my wife and I kind of
- 37:59Speaker 6: help each other with it, like settle down, you're yelling
- 38:01Speaker 6: too hard, or she'll tell me, like, you're yelling too
- 38:03Speaker 6: hard and you don't even notice it.
- 38:04Speaker 5: Dude, you're just in it.
- 38:06Speaker 6: It's almost like if you're in an NBA game, you're
- 38:07Speaker 6: just yelling, like what are you doing?
- 38:10Speaker 1: Except I know, I know I'm not getting paid a
- 38:13Speaker 1: little bit different. I know, I know. I saw the
- 38:14Speaker 1: clip you brought in from Coach Stark. Dude, I couldn't
- 38:17Speaker 1: agree with him more. Set it up.
- 38:21Speaker 6: Coach sarks On at the podium talking about just schools
- 38:23Speaker 6: firing coaches, and he's just saying, like, you know, you
- 38:28Speaker 6: keep firing coaches, who are you going to hire? Like
- 38:30Speaker 6: there's a problem when you do this, who are you
- 38:32Speaker 6: going to hire? And there's also a culture of like
- 38:35Speaker 6: school's not giving the coach then enough time to build
- 38:38Speaker 6: a team, and just getting rid of coaches.
- 38:41Speaker 11: Everybody wants to fire their coach.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Who are you going to hire?
- 38:43Speaker 11: There's all these jobs out there right now, who's everybody
- 38:46Speaker 11: going to hire? I don't know, we'll find out we're
- 38:49Speaker 11: somebody's got to be the head coach. The amount of
- 38:51Speaker 11: you know, one week you're hero the next week year
- 38:54Speaker 11: zero mentality that that fan bases and people want to have.
- 38:58Speaker 11: Surely coaches want some security to what they signed up
- 39:01Speaker 11: to go do. We work really hard and I get it.
- 39:03Speaker 11: We all want to win, and we're all busting our
- 39:06Speaker 11: tails to try to win, and sometimes things don't go
- 39:08Speaker 11: your way, especially in our conference.
- 39:11Speaker 5: It's tough.
- 39:12Speaker 1: What do you think?
- 39:14Speaker 5: I think?
- 39:14Speaker 1: I was talking to Brandon Marcelo about this last week,
- 39:17Speaker 1: and Stark may have heard me talking and taken my theory.
- 39:20Speaker 5: That's got to be what happened.
- 39:21Speaker 9: Knew I heard it before because I said that exact
- 39:24Speaker 9: same thing.
- 39:24Speaker 1: You're gonna have a lot of teams look back and go, dang,
- 39:26Speaker 1: we shouldn't have fired a coach because now everybody's losing more.
- 39:29Speaker 1: And had we fired them five to seven years ago
- 39:32Speaker 1: would have made more sense because we had worse non
- 39:35Speaker 1: conference games. There were only four teams making the BCS playoff. Now,
- 39:42Speaker 1: if you don't make the tournament, like everybody wants their
- 39:44Speaker 1: coach gone.
- 39:45Speaker 6: And that's what he's saying too, right, Like he's saying
- 39:47Speaker 6: partly what you said, and he's saying always a lot
- 39:50Speaker 6: of what you said. But he's also saying too like
- 39:53Speaker 6: this whole okay, you don't make the playoffs and you
- 39:56Speaker 6: fire your coach like you're not always going to win well.
- 39:59Speaker 1: And also so when you fire a coach, the worst
- 40:01Speaker 1: thing that's gonna happen for a fan bases go, we
- 40:03Speaker 1: don't want to retread. But there are all these great
- 40:05Speaker 1: coaches that were fired for reasons that probably were a
- 40:08Speaker 1: bit irresponsible to be fired for, and now they're considered
- 40:11Speaker 1: a retread and fan bases aren't happy. But I would
- 40:14Speaker 1: love there are a couple of retreads that I would
- 40:16Speaker 1: love to have in Arkansas. But like that Jane Franklin
- 40:19Speaker 1: will be awesome. Yeah, like you want a Vanderbilt, he
- 40:22Speaker 1: went up and want a bunch of gains and pens
- 40:23Speaker 1: day like average ten a year. He seems like a
- 40:26Speaker 1: smart dude too.
- 40:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:28Speaker 1: I don't know him.
- 40:29Speaker 6: I don't I don't either, but he seems like someone
- 40:31Speaker 6: who knows what he's doing. There are some coaches that
- 40:33Speaker 6: look like they're probably smart, but they don't look like
- 40:36Speaker 6: they know what they're doing.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Another one Sandusky, Nope.
- 40:43Speaker 5: Where where is he?
- 40:44Speaker 1: Jim? Yeah, he's in jail.
- 40:46Speaker 5: He's in jail.
- 40:47Speaker 1: I don't know. Can you watch football in there? I
- 40:52Speaker 1: don't know what they do in jail. I hope everything
- 40:53Speaker 1: bad happens him. I was just using that as an
- 40:55Speaker 1: example of like the worst possible redread anyone.
- 41:00Speaker 5: I wasn't going to playing too much golf. No, like
- 41:02Speaker 5: you Freeze.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Yeah, no, like I was going to the absolute worst
- 41:07Speaker 1: coach the fan base could possibly have.
- 41:09Speaker 8: It he could get out in twenty forty two at
- 41:11Speaker 8: the age of eighty one.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Hey, I'm gonna tell you what, We'll probably hire him
- 41:13Speaker 1: if I know us we have, if we have this
- 41:16Speaker 1: same administration, we'll probably put a floater in there and
- 41:18Speaker 1: see he's available. Yeah, I think the retread thing gets
- 41:24Speaker 1: I did see where it's been rumored that possibly Kevin
- 41:28Speaker 1: Did you see this Lane Kiffin? No, no, not Lank Kiffin,
- 41:32Speaker 1: Lincoln Riley.
- 41:34Speaker 9: Oh no, I have not seen that at all.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe Lincoln Kansas LSU.
- 41:39Speaker 9: Wait, Targans are LSU not Arkansas?
- 41:43Speaker 1: Too liked he said to l s U. And if
- 41:46Speaker 1: you remember when he was at Oklahoma, they were doing
- 41:49Speaker 1: the press conference and the LSU job was open, and
- 41:51Speaker 1: they kept asking him, are you taking the LSU job?
- 41:54Speaker 1: And he said, I'm not taking the l U job,
- 41:56Speaker 1: and the bails off USC, and that that was his
- 41:59Speaker 1: way to around it. Was nobody asked them about the
- 42:01Speaker 1: USC job, and they didn't say are you leaving? They
- 42:03Speaker 1: were like, there's a lot of rumors about you in
- 42:05Speaker 1: the LSU job. He's like, I'm not taking the LU job.
- 42:06Speaker 9: Would you if you're an LSU fan, would you want
- 42:09Speaker 9: him that bad?
- 42:13Speaker 6: He's not a bad coach, He's I think he's a
- 42:15Speaker 6: really good coach, especially if he has the right defensive coordinator.
- 42:20Speaker 1: I would like Lincoln Riley. I don't think they're gonna
- 42:22Speaker 1: get unless they get Lane Kiffin. They're going to be upset.
- 42:25Speaker 9: Yeah, agreed.
- 42:27Speaker 1: So I think Lincoln Riley is a great fallback if
- 42:31Speaker 1: you don't get Lane Kiffin.
- 42:33Speaker 6: Is ole miss cool with all Lane Kiffin talk like
- 42:37Speaker 6: they can't do anything about it.
- 42:38Speaker 5: They can't.
- 42:39Speaker 1: It's weird because these coaches signed contracts, but it doesn't matter.
- 42:42Speaker 1: It's actually, instead of a contract contracting their services for
- 42:46Speaker 1: a certain amount of time, it is a contract that
- 42:50Speaker 1: says how much another school has to pay to hire
- 42:52Speaker 1: your coach as a buyout. That's basically what it's turned into.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Like I am in the middle of a contract with
- 43:00Speaker 1: our company and another company couldn't come and just be like,
- 43:03Speaker 1: hey like to hire you, and I'm like, allright, them out.
- 43:05Speaker 1: I have a contract. Yeah, there's no buyout clause in it.
- 43:08Speaker 1: If there was a buyout clause. That awesome. Maybe you
- 43:12Speaker 1: should be It'd be crazy if we get traded, because
- 43:15Speaker 1: I trade a couple of those fools, like right.
- 43:17Speaker 5: Now, we would just trade people.
- 43:20Speaker 1: I would get some good I would get some good value.
- 43:22Speaker 6: Yeah, you know what, though sometimes I would be asked
- 43:25Speaker 6: to be traded, get me out of here.
- 43:27Speaker 5: Give me, trade me as leverage. I don't know. You
- 43:30Speaker 5: hear that in sports, how they go to the coach
- 43:32Speaker 5: or trade me.
- 43:34Speaker 1: Like there's a couple of folks i'd trade for, like
- 43:35Speaker 1: a couple of good cameras, you know how they do
- 43:37Speaker 1: like pcassion incentives, not even people. I don't even you
- 43:40Speaker 1: know what, I don't need people at this point. I yes,
- 43:43Speaker 1: we need some technology so that and yeah, i'd be
- 43:49Speaker 1: crazy if we could trade people. That would be cool.
- 43:51Speaker 5: And a buyout clause, you should just propose it.
- 43:55Speaker 1: If somebody pays ten million dollars, they can hire me
- 43:58Speaker 1: as long as they pay you the money to the company. Yeah.
- 44:00Speaker 6: I don't really want that though, like like a A
- 44:04Speaker 6: and M guy, you know, Jimbo Jimbo.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Yeah, well that's a buyout seventy million. But also it
- 44:11Speaker 1: works both ways with those coaches, meaning if a school
- 44:13Speaker 1: wants to come and hire them. They can at any point,
- 44:16Speaker 1: but they got to pay the buy out or right
- 44:20Speaker 1: if at the school that currently owns that contract. And uh,
- 44:24Speaker 1: you know, the coach works for them. If they want
- 44:26Speaker 1: to fire then that they have to pay out the
- 44:27Speaker 1: buy out to the coach. So either way, you know,
- 44:30Speaker 1: the coach makes some money.
- 44:31Speaker 6: Is there another job where you get fired as much
- 44:34Speaker 6: as coaches do?
- 44:35Speaker 1: Oh? Yeah, that's a good question. Though. Let's think about that, hmm,
- 44:40Speaker 1: because like coaches, Like, sorry, dude, I think I don't
- 44:44Speaker 1: think that coaches are getting fired a lot. Well this
- 44:46Speaker 1: year they are this year more than ever. But I'm
- 44:49Speaker 1: saying it's like people winning the lottery. I don't have
- 44:52Speaker 1: a lot of time.
- 44:52Speaker 6: Put the theory together, so I know and I just
- 44:54Speaker 6: threw this out, so follow me here.
- 44:57Speaker 1: We hear a lot of stories about people want a lottery.
- 44:59Speaker 1: They're very high profile stories. Yeah, it's like only if
- 45:02Speaker 1: somebody wins a billion five hundred million. Most people aren't
- 45:05Speaker 1: winning the lottery. Okay, I see what you're saying. And
- 45:08Speaker 1: so whenever a big time coaching job is open, it
- 45:11Speaker 1: is all over the news all the time. There are
- 45:14Speaker 1: probably and Mike, you could look up how many Division one,
- 45:16Speaker 1: Division two schools, Division three schools. There are probably hundreds
- 45:20Speaker 1: and hundreds of total college schools. Yeah, and this is
- 45:23Speaker 1: a big year because there are three hundred possibly, But
- 45:27Speaker 1: there's what and it turns up being twenty jobs open
- 45:29Speaker 1: in a big year, and a lot of that's carousel too,
- 45:33Speaker 1: so there's really only a certain amounts. And then all
- 45:34Speaker 1: these other jobs open because other coaches took other jobs.
- 45:37Speaker 1: So I don't think it's that there are so many
- 45:38Speaker 1: jobs open. I think they're just high profile jobs that
- 45:40Speaker 1: we hear about.
- 45:41Speaker 5: But then is.
- 45:44Speaker 6: Alcorn State firing their coach because they didn't win?
- 45:48Speaker 5: Yeah, possible games?
- 45:49Speaker 1: Possibly are they?
- 45:51Speaker 6: Because I feel like the smaller schools they're just like,
- 45:53Speaker 6: you know what, like we lost four games, We'll give
- 45:56Speaker 6: you two more years, three more years.
- 45:57Speaker 1: I think smaller schools are a feeding system to bigger
- 45:59Speaker 1: school or they have longer to build. They're given man
- 46:07Speaker 1: four to seven years at smaller schools.
- 46:10Speaker 6: And there's less lightballs on them, less pressure to win.
- 46:13Speaker 1: And also when you say coaches getting fired, there are
- 46:15Speaker 1: also forty coaches on every staff.
- 46:17Speaker 5: True, I guess we're talking about head coach.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm just saying we know a lot of them
- 46:21Speaker 1: because it's a high profile job that makes the news.
- 46:24Speaker 1: So it's a job whe people get fired a lot.
- 46:25Speaker 1: But I bet people get fired in business every day
- 46:27Speaker 1: all the time. Sales people get fired all the time.
- 46:30Speaker 1: So we just it's just in the news. It's like
- 46:33Speaker 1: plane crashes.
- 46:33Speaker 6: It's kind of harder to get fired though in the
- 46:35Speaker 6: corporate world, right like in there like a lot of
- 46:37Speaker 6: paperwork to fire people.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Well there's also a lot of college you got to
- 46:40Speaker 1: make to donors and boosters to get money to fire coaches.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah, so I remember the whole plane crash thing
- 46:45Speaker 1: where there was a new store by a plane crashing
- 46:48Speaker 1: or smoking out or something, or when there are fights
- 46:50Speaker 1: all the time. Yeah, I don't think that was something
- 46:53Speaker 1: that was happening all the time or in a lot
- 46:55Speaker 1: of places. But when it did, man, it was highlighted
- 46:56Speaker 1: and talked about a lot. I think that's basically what
- 46:58Speaker 1: it is now. It's more this than ever before, especially
- 47:01Speaker 1: the big jobs. But I don't think generally speaking, it's
- 47:05Speaker 1: a profession where a lot of people are just getting
- 47:10Speaker 1: fired WILLI nilly, because there's real money involved. But it
- 47:14Speaker 1: does seem like it's fine, it is, I mean fun
- 47:17Speaker 1: for us, it's fine. Yeah, it's fine.
- 47:20Speaker 8: Turnover rate is kind of comparable to CEOs or politicians.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Yeah, you can fire politicians, yeah, not relect them. Oh
- 47:28Speaker 1: yeah yeah, I would assume that would be what a
- 47:31Speaker 1: firing of a politician is like, not re electing him.
- 47:34Speaker 9: Yeah, serve a term and you're done.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Well. You could also serve a term and be done
- 47:39Speaker 1: and do what most I feel in that world should
- 47:42Speaker 1: do is do your couple of terms then get out
- 47:44Speaker 1: and not be a lifelong politician. But most don't do that.
- 47:46Speaker 1: They just want to get re elected. Okay, I want
- 47:48Speaker 1: to get over to this interview Eddie did Oh.
- 47:50Speaker 6: It's a fantastic interview, one of the best, one of
- 47:53Speaker 6: the best we've ever done on the podcast.
- 47:54Speaker 1: Really, I'm excited to not hear it with new.
- 47:59Speaker 5: Why not?
- 47:59Speaker 1: And I know ever will.
- 48:02Speaker 5: Great.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Now you're telling everyone listening don't listen to it. I
- 48:05Speaker 1: didn't say that, But why would I listen to it?
- 48:07Speaker 6: I don't know, just because you and this is one
- 48:09Speaker 6: thing you you like texting me like, hey, how did
- 48:10Speaker 6: the interview go?
- 48:11Speaker 5: And I was like, do you want to hear it?
- 48:13Speaker 5: I was thinking to myself like.
- 48:14Speaker 1: Or you haven't heard it. If you want me to
- 48:16Speaker 1: hear it, I would listen.
- 48:18Speaker 5: I would like, I would like for you to hear.
- 48:19Speaker 1: But I've got I've got my secondary years making sure
- 48:23Speaker 1: that it's good, which is mine.
- 48:24Speaker 5: Oh what did you hear? What did you hear?
- 48:26Speaker 1: There? No, what I hear is if it makes it,
- 48:27Speaker 1: it's good. Oh okay, good. He's not gonna put something
- 48:30Speaker 1: on it's not good. I just didn't get any feed
- 48:31Speaker 1: back even with a show. If like, there's something that's
- 48:35Speaker 1: not good, Mike didn't tell me. He'll just pull it.
- 48:38Speaker 5: Yeah I know that, or he'll or he'll.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Edit something in a way that I don't have to
- 48:42Speaker 1: worry about it. And if Mike's like, no, it worked,
- 48:45Speaker 1: let's go.
- 48:45Speaker 8: Yeah, it wouldn't be on that sheet if it wouldn't good.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I know.
- 48:48Speaker 5: But you guys understand this thing.
- 48:49Speaker 1: You can say, hey, listen to it, and I'm happy
- 48:50Speaker 1: to listen to it. I don't know what you want.
- 48:52Speaker 5: Don't have to it's okay, no, no, no, no.
- 48:54Speaker 8: If you want him to critique it, yeah no, actually
- 48:56Speaker 8: I really don't know.
- 48:59Speaker 1: I'm happy to give you feedback. Oh no, I'm good.
- 49:01Speaker 9: You'll get a two minute voice message later.
- 49:04Speaker 1: But that's the thing. You will get it. I'm good, dude,
- 49:08Speaker 1: I'm good. Did you ever send the Kenny Chesney interview
- 49:10Speaker 1: on Yeah? Oh you did?
- 49:12Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 49:12Speaker 1: Okay, sent to read forgot you haven't gotten that? No.
- 49:14Speaker 1: I was thinking about it last night, but I went to bed.
- 49:17Speaker 5: What about that?
- 49:18Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, No, I got it off about Eddie and Kenny.
- 49:21Speaker 1: I was just asking Eddie for this Kenny Chesney interview.
- 49:23Speaker 1: I don't why I brought it up right now, but
- 49:25Speaker 1: I was thinking about it last night and I was like,
- 49:27Speaker 1: I'm too sleepy to grab my phone.
- 49:30Speaker 5: If you would have had to tell me three times,
- 49:31Speaker 5: agot problem?
- 49:32Speaker 1: Well, No, I was emailing Eddie to the wrong email address. Yes, yes,
- 49:34Speaker 1: because Eddie's very responsive. And I sent an email and
- 49:38Speaker 1: I was like, hey, will you send me the Kenny
- 49:39Speaker 1: Chesney interview. I want to find a couple of clips
- 49:41Speaker 1: for socials. And I got no response, so I sent
- 49:44Speaker 1: it again. I was like, hey, don't forget send me
- 49:46Speaker 1: that interview and nothing. So I text him. He text
- 49:49Speaker 1: me about something and I text him back and I
- 49:50Speaker 1: was like, Hey, what's up with that Kenny interview? And
- 49:52Speaker 1: he's like, what are you talking? About so I screen
- 49:54Speaker 1: shot out a couple of emails and he was like, dude,
- 49:56Speaker 1: is that like my Eddie sixty nine at gmail dot com.
- 50:00Speaker 1: I don't know. I just hit your name up there
- 50:01Speaker 1: and it sent it and that's what it was.
- 50:03Speaker 5: I found it later after the best Biro.
- 50:06Speaker 1: That's on me. I literally just type ed and the
- 50:08Speaker 1: Eddie populates into the thing. But yeah, yeah, yeah, here
- 50:12Speaker 1: we go. Let's get over to this talk. Hey Brandon,
- 50:16Speaker 1: those hats are funny, but were wearing thing? Yeah, those
- 50:18Speaker 1: are so funny, they're big, They're funny. Let's get over
- 50:23Speaker 1: to uh Eddie with NASCAR Cup Champion Kyle Larson.
- 50:26Speaker 5: I've heard this interview is great.
- 50:28Speaker 6: Shut up, I'm just playing the thing.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Anybody listening right now? Will you send me your notes
- 50:37Speaker 1: on Eddie's interview like dm me and Instagram your notes? No,
- 50:45Speaker 1: be kind, guys, No, I want to know what they
- 50:48Speaker 1: really think. It may be Eddie did great, Amy did
- 50:51Speaker 1: an interview with what Andy Bosco. Yeah, that we put
- 50:54Speaker 1: up on the Bobby Bone Show because it was for
- 50:55Speaker 1: women to buy our country and we only use parts
- 50:58Speaker 1: of it, and so we put the whole thing up
- 50:59Speaker 1: and for the most part, people were positive about it.
- 51:01Speaker 1: I don't think people are going hard for the sake
- 51:03Speaker 1: of going hard.
- 51:04Speaker 5: Okay, well, I feel that with this setup you're setting
- 51:06Speaker 5: them up.
- 51:06Speaker 4: I'm not.
- 51:07Speaker 1: I'm just asking give us a few critique lines.
- 51:10Speaker 6: Yeah, three, yeah, and be be real, be real or
- 51:15Speaker 6: oh this could hurt See this is what I'm worried about.
- 51:18Speaker 1: So these are the two things I would say one
- 51:20Speaker 1: either DM me or two. If you're listening on Spotify,
- 51:24Speaker 1: there's the comment section. Oh oh no, right, but write
- 51:31Speaker 1: us a critique of Eddie's interview here.
- 51:33Speaker 5: But would this hurt our streaming?
- 51:36Speaker 1: No, it would help it.
- 51:36Speaker 5: We love the even it was just like, this is
- 51:38Speaker 5: the worst thing interview I've ever heard in my life.
- 51:41Speaker 1: Nope, we just love engagement. Okay, all right, here we go.
- 51:44Speaker 1: Kyle won the championship on Sunday, and some people say
- 51:47Speaker 1: it was kind of a cheap win because he didn't
- 51:50Speaker 1: actually win the race. Is something we find out about here.
- 51:53Speaker 1: Not really how did not win the race if he
- 51:55Speaker 1: won the.
- 51:55Speaker 6: Race, because it's not how it works, like you don't
- 51:56Speaker 6: have to actually win the race that he was right,
- 51:58Speaker 6: Oh yeah, of course know how that works.
- 52:01Speaker 1: So I don't know how he's got enough points and
- 52:02Speaker 1: you finished in a high enough spot. And you'll hear it.
- 52:04Speaker 1: It's not a cheap one.
- 52:04Speaker 6: You'll hear in the interview he took two tires instead
- 52:08Speaker 6: of four. Denny Hamlin, who could have won as well,
- 52:11Speaker 6: took four tires. That was on him. So it takes
- 52:13Speaker 6: longer to put four tires on and it takes two.
- 52:15Speaker 6: That's why they think you want.
- 52:16Speaker 1: You can now follow Kyle on social media at Kyle
- 52:19Speaker 1: Larson Racing. Here he is the great Eddie with Kyle Larson.
- 52:23Speaker 6: We're here with two time NASCAR Cup Series champ Kyle Larson. Dude,
- 52:28Speaker 6: this yesterday was crazy, man like that. That race was nuts.
- 52:32Speaker 6: So run me through the end of that race where
- 52:38Speaker 6: William Byron goes out he hits the wall. You've got
- 52:41Speaker 6: a decision to make. You're in the caution and you
- 52:45Speaker 6: decided to go with two tires. Who decided to go
- 52:47Speaker 6: with two tires? Was that you or who made that call?
- 52:50Speaker 6: Because obviously it was the right call.
- 52:52Speaker 12: Yeah, I think it was just a team decision.
- 52:54Speaker 7: We were all kind of on the same page there,
- 52:57Speaker 7: you and the caution came out. We have our own
- 53:01Speaker 7: little code words for what you know means what for
- 53:03Speaker 7: whether it's four tires or two tires, and uh, I
- 53:06Speaker 7: kind of like threw it out there like hey, what
- 53:07Speaker 7: are you guys thinking about this? And they're like, oh,
- 53:10Speaker 7: we're definitely doing that, Like all right, let's let's go.
- 53:12Speaker 7: I think that's our only shot to win here. And yeah,
- 53:15Speaker 7: we just exeued a good pit stop and yeah I
- 53:19Speaker 7: was able to uh do we had to do there?
- 53:22Speaker 7: So yeah, as you mentioned, just a crazy finish for us.
- 53:25Speaker 7: You know, we were pretty average all day at best,
- 53:28Speaker 7: and you went a lap down in the third stage
- 53:32Speaker 7: and just uh never gave up and and I think
- 53:35Speaker 7: that was that was it and that's what you know,
- 53:38Speaker 7: got us got us at championship.
- 53:40Speaker 6: Are you saying that you have code words because everyone
- 53:42Speaker 6: can hear the radio talk, Yeah.
- 53:45Speaker 7: Every team kind of has code words because yeah, you're
- 53:49Speaker 7: you're you're trying to decoy a little bit, you know
- 53:51Speaker 7: what you're gonna do because yeah, all the all the
- 53:54Speaker 7: teams are scanning the radio of all the other race cars.
- 53:57Speaker 7: So yeah, you just try to keep keep things a
- 54:00Speaker 7: little bit of a secret. And that's how you do
- 54:02Speaker 7: that with with the code words.
- 54:04Speaker 6: And when did you know that Denny took four tires?
- 54:06Speaker 6: And that immediately you're like, this is gonna this could work.
- 54:09Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 54:10Speaker 7: So you know, my pit stall was like on the
- 54:12Speaker 7: complete opposite side of the racetrack as his. So we
- 54:15Speaker 7: did our pit stop, our two tires, and I came
- 54:17Speaker 7: out and the pit road kind of goes around turns
- 54:20Speaker 7: three and four, so you curve around.
- 54:22Speaker 12: He was in the number one.
- 54:23Speaker 7: Pit stall, so I was just trying to look as
- 54:25Speaker 7: far around as I could and just praying that he
- 54:27Speaker 7: wasn't taking two tires as well. And when I saw
- 54:30Speaker 7: they were taking four, and then as many people that
- 54:33Speaker 7: I have between him and I, you know, a few people,
- 54:36Speaker 7: I was like, man, we got a good shot here,
- 54:38Speaker 7: we got a little buffer, and I'm gonna try and
- 54:41Speaker 7: you rip hard on this restart through one and two,
- 54:43Speaker 7: and it just all worked out.
- 54:45Speaker 6: I think what was so cool is as soon as
- 54:47Speaker 6: you want, when you crossed the finish line, you start
- 54:49Speaker 6: yelling like thank you, team, like we did it. How
- 54:53Speaker 6: many people go into this because obviously we watch and
- 54:55Speaker 6: we watch you race and we're like, this is Kyle.
- 54:57Speaker 5: He does he's in charge, he he deserves to win.
- 55:01Speaker 6: But there are so many people behind the scenes, Like
- 55:03Speaker 6: how many people are actually involved in this win.
- 55:05Speaker 7: Well, I think there's like close to five hundred people
- 55:08Speaker 7: at hundred Motorsports, so and every single person has you know,
- 55:14Speaker 7: has a part in the four cars, the four hundred
- 55:17Speaker 7: Motorsports cars getting to the racetrack and and racing. So yeah,
- 55:21Speaker 7: it's a huge team win, but especially you know the
- 55:24Speaker 7: team of people at the racetrack or your core core
- 55:27Speaker 7: group and that you know, championship yesterday took every single
- 55:31Speaker 7: person there. So I was just blown away and shocked
- 55:35Speaker 7: and surprised and all of it, and just so proud
- 55:37Speaker 7: of the team for then they never give up attitude
- 55:41Speaker 7: and and do what we had to do to make
- 55:44Speaker 7: the the gutsy calls the right moment and then take
- 55:46Speaker 7: advantage of the moment.
- 55:47Speaker 6: You said the car was like average at best. I've
- 55:51Speaker 6: heard you guys like I like to I like to
- 55:53Speaker 6: bet on NASCAR.
- 55:54Speaker 1: It's one of my favorite things to do.
- 55:55Speaker 6: So like sometimes i'll bet before the race starts, and
- 55:59Speaker 6: then it's as soon as I hear like you or
- 56:01Speaker 6: anyone on the radio say like, man, the car is loose,
- 56:03Speaker 6: this is not feeling right, immediately, well I lost that bet.
- 56:07Speaker 6: What what do you mean by that when you say
- 56:09Speaker 6: like the car's loose.
- 56:11Speaker 7: Uh yeah, So when when you hear a driver saying
- 56:14Speaker 7: the car is loose, that means like the rear end
- 56:16Speaker 7: of the car wants to come around. When you say
- 56:19Speaker 7: you're tight, that means like the front end of the
- 56:21Speaker 7: car wants to hit the wall. So yeah, and then
- 56:25Speaker 7: you're just trying to find that right balance.
- 56:27Speaker 12: Of where you got.
- 56:29Speaker 7: You know, it's just kind of free and natural and
- 56:32Speaker 7: going around the corner easy. But yeah, my car yesterday
- 56:37Speaker 7: was it was all of it. I was tight and
- 56:39Speaker 7: loose and slow and frustrated and all of it.
- 56:43Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 56:44Speaker 6: But see as soon as I hear that, I'm like,
- 56:45Speaker 6: that's lost. But that's not always the case. Is that
- 56:48Speaker 6: what you're telling me, Kyle? Is that not always the
- 56:50Speaker 6: case that even though it doesn't feel right, you could
- 56:52Speaker 6: still win.
- 56:53Speaker 12: Yeah, And that's just the way NASCAR racing is.
- 56:55Speaker 7: Because you get a late caution like we did yesterday,
- 56:57Speaker 7: and then you get you get strategy them into play
- 57:00Speaker 7: and you never know, you know what the clear cut
- 57:04Speaker 7: answer is, You don't know what other teams are going
- 57:06Speaker 7: to do.
- 57:06Speaker 12: So it just gets wild and crazy.
- 57:08Speaker 7: And and yeah, I would say more often than not,
- 57:11Speaker 7: I feel like in the Cup Series, the fastest car
- 57:14Speaker 7: doesn't always win. You know, there's so many elements into racing,
- 57:19Speaker 7: you know, with pit stops and and other competitors on
- 57:22Speaker 7: the track and and and like I mentioned.
- 57:24Speaker 12: The strategies.
- 57:25Speaker 7: It's just it gets wild and you got to be
- 57:28Speaker 7: prepared for those wild moments.
- 57:30Speaker 6: Now we're recording this the day after your win. What happens?
- 57:34Speaker 6: What happens after you win? After the TV goes out,
- 57:37Speaker 6: we don't see you anymore, Like, how do you celebrate
- 57:40Speaker 6: this win?
- 57:40Speaker 7: Well, for the championship, it's a lot of pictures, like
- 57:45Speaker 7: tons of pictures. My cheeks hurt today from smiling so much. So,
- 57:50Speaker 7: but yeah, it's it was about I don't know, close
- 57:53Speaker 7: to five hours or so of of you know, celebration
- 57:57Speaker 7: at the track and.
- 57:58Speaker 12: Pictures like I mentioned in interviews and.
- 58:00Speaker 7: All that, and then hurry home, shower and go go out.
- 58:04Speaker 7: You know, we went out in old town Scottsdale last
- 58:06Speaker 7: night and that was a blash. You know, the whole
- 58:09Speaker 7: team was able to come and and celebrate the championship. So, uh,
- 58:14Speaker 7: just really proud of everybody and cool to celebrate. You know,
- 58:17Speaker 7: we had a our team looked a lot different, you know,
- 58:20Speaker 7: from our first championship, so it was cool that, you know,
- 58:23Speaker 7: it was a lot of their first championships and hopefully
- 58:25Speaker 7: not their last.
- 58:26Speaker 6: When you say you go out, what do you tell
- 58:27Speaker 6: the kids, Like, all right, guys, dad's got to go celebrate.
- 58:30Speaker 5: That'll be back.
- 58:31Speaker 7: I think they understood, they knew what we were going
- 58:34Speaker 7: to do last night. So yeah, we we brought a
- 58:38Speaker 7: nanny out with us this trip.
- 58:40Speaker 1: So smart, helpful.
- 58:42Speaker 6: Yeah, it's funny because like my kids, you know, they
- 58:45Speaker 6: think every dad's on the radio or has a podcast
- 58:47Speaker 6: or whatever, and it's not the case. Like, no, man,
- 58:51Speaker 6: not every kid's not. Not every dad's like this. What
- 58:53Speaker 6: about you? Do your kids know what you know? Do
- 58:56Speaker 6: they know what you do in the sense of like
- 58:59Speaker 6: you're one of the best race car drivers out there?
- 59:02Speaker 12: That's a good question. I don't know.
- 59:05Speaker 7: I don't know that. I think I think Owen probably is.
- 59:10Speaker 7: He's he's my oldest. I think he gets an idea,
- 59:15Speaker 7: which I got to remind him sometimes because he's ra
- 59:17Speaker 7: He races himself and I'm like, dude, you got to
- 59:20Speaker 7: listen to me.
- 59:20Speaker 12: Don't get real.
- 59:21Speaker 5: Knows what he's talking about now.
- 59:25Speaker 7: So I think he's starting to realize, but I'm not sure,
- 59:29Speaker 7: you know, and I don't. I don't want I mean,
- 59:31Speaker 7: I guess you know, his dad.
- 59:32Speaker 12: You you want to be that superhero.
- 59:34Speaker 7: But I also don't want them to think that I'm
- 59:36Speaker 7: above anybody, because I am just a normal person and
- 59:39Speaker 7: I'm and I'm I'm their dad and and they get
- 59:42Speaker 7: to see a side of me that nobody else gets
- 59:44Speaker 7: to see. So uh, yeah, that probably makes me seem
- 59:49Speaker 7: more down to earth to them. But yeah, it's just
- 59:53Speaker 7: cool having your family at the racetrack and getting to
- 59:55Speaker 7: celebrate moments like that.
- 59:56Speaker 12: It's uh, it's pretty pretty amazing.
- 59:58Speaker 6: I'm sure you you know lot of celebrities, a lot
- 1:00:01Speaker 6: of you've met a lot of people in your career
- 1:00:04Speaker 6: when you win, like last night, Who's what's the coolest
- 1:00:08Speaker 6: text you get from?
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Who?
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: And and do you does your phone blow up too
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: after a win?
- 1:00:14Speaker 12: Yeah, yeah, it definitely does.
- 1:00:15Speaker 7: I think I had probably some of the mid four
- 1:00:18Speaker 7: hundreds last night. So yeah, I've been able to get
- 1:00:23Speaker 7: through most.
- 1:00:23Speaker 12: Of them, which is which is good.
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: It takes time, but yeah, I don't know, I think
- 1:00:28Speaker 7: for me, yeah, there's definitely you know, some celebrities that'll
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: text you, But for me. It's it's the people that have,
- 1:00:35Speaker 7: you know, meant the most to me throughout my life.
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: I would say, going back to like my childhood, having
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: a lot of my childhood friends that I maybe don't
- 1:00:42Speaker 7: get to stay in touch with much anymore because I'm
- 1:00:45Speaker 7: you know, outraced on the East Coast a lot. You
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: have my friends and supporters that have been there from
- 1:00:50Speaker 7: the beginning. I think those are the ones that mean
- 1:00:51Speaker 7: the most to me.
- 1:00:52Speaker 6: So when you text back, say to the four hundred replies,
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: is it kind of the same thing, like thanks dude,
- 1:00:57Speaker 6: thank you, thanks, appreciate it.
- 1:01:00Speaker 12: It's a lot of that.
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: Yeah, for sure, just because man, it would if you
- 1:01:04Speaker 7: got real personal with it, it would I don't know
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: how long it would take, but it would take a
- 1:01:09Speaker 7: very long time. And I don't like seeing the the
- 1:01:12Speaker 7: unread you know, the red number text message on there.
- 1:01:16Speaker 12: I like my phone pretty clean.
- 1:01:17Speaker 6: So so you don't have anything to get through it
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: with me, So you you make sure they're all red.
- 1:01:23Speaker 7: Yeah, well, I mean I respond to them too, so
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: but yeah, I just don't like the little red bubble
- 1:01:29Speaker 7: on there saying my email. I make sure I've at
- 1:01:33Speaker 7: least open it to where I don't have any unread
- 1:01:36Speaker 7: emails because I just don't like the cluttered nest.
- 1:01:38Speaker 6: I'm looking at mine. I have twenty three and sixty
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: five unread emails.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. We're very different, man, very different.
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: Yeah, dang, is.
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: That is that kind of the way you are with
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: your with your race car? Like does everything have to
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: be exactly the same way every time you get in there?
- 1:01:58Speaker 7: I think with sure, Like with how I my morning
- 1:02:02Speaker 7: routine would go, or the way I buckle myself into
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: the race car, like all of that is, yes, very
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: much the same every time, you know, even putting the
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: what order you put your shoes on, your gloves on?
- 1:02:16Speaker 12: So a little bit OCD.
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: I don't know if all race car drivers are like
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: that or not, but I just yeah, I don't know.
- 1:02:22Speaker 12: I've just always been like that, just kind of muscle memory.
- 1:02:25Speaker 6: Are you sock sock, shoe shoe or are you sock shoe,
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: socks shoe?
- 1:02:30Speaker 12: I'm socks and shoes.
- 1:02:32Speaker 6: Okay, all right, just making sure I didn't know you
- 1:02:34Speaker 6: were a psychotic or not.
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: I just wanted to make sure.
- 1:02:36Speaker 12: You're some Yeah, I would say that sounds very psychoic.
- 1:02:40Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what I thought. That's what I thought.
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: What one more question I was going to ask you
- 1:02:44Speaker 6: about just kind of you know, pre pre erace odds
- 1:02:47Speaker 6: and stuff. Before you race, do you look at the
- 1:02:49Speaker 6: odds to see if you're a favorite to win or
- 1:02:51Speaker 6: do you kind of know you already know where you're at.
- 1:02:54Speaker 7: I don't look, but a lot of times, you know,
- 1:02:57Speaker 7: because I'm in it right, Like I know what tracks
- 1:03:00Speaker 7: are good, I know how practice kind of went, and
- 1:03:04Speaker 7: and a lot of times we're the favorite, you know,
- 1:03:06Speaker 7: the five, like Kyle Larson and the five team, because
- 1:03:09Speaker 7: you know, we we run up.
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: Front a lot. But there's a lot of tracks.
- 1:03:12Speaker 12: I'm like, man, I don't know why they have me
- 1:03:13Speaker 12: the favorite.
- 1:03:14Speaker 7: I know I'm gonna suck. But uh yeah, we're not
- 1:03:18Speaker 7: allowed to talk about it.
- 1:03:19Speaker 12: We can't. We can't offer any insight.
- 1:03:22Speaker 6: Yeah, do you uh, what's what's another sport?
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: What do like? What sport are you into?
- 1:03:25Speaker 6: You?
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: Do you like football?
- 1:03:26Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:03:27Speaker 12: I like football? I mean I like all sports.
- 1:03:29Speaker 7: I would say I'm not I don't have the time
- 1:03:31Speaker 7: to get fully invested in it, you know, and and
- 1:03:35Speaker 7: know the players and who's on the injured list and
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: all that, or who just got traded but I enjoy
- 1:03:43Speaker 7: watching all sports. I'm you know, I'm a competitor, so
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: I like to see, you know, athletes compete at a
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: high level and just get a glimpse into what their
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: mindsets might be.
- 1:03:51Speaker 12: And but yeah.
- 1:03:53Speaker 7: Right now it's football season, so I'm enjoying watching some
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: some football.
- 1:03:57Speaker 6: I mean, I love watching you guys on the weekends.
- 1:03:59Speaker 6: But I always think, you know, like, man like Kyle
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: can't watch football today, like he's got a race today.
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: You know, do you feel like your weekends are just
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: shot because of what you do?
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean our life routine is much different than
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: a normal person like our I feel like our weekends,
- 1:04:15Speaker 7: you know, our Tuesday Wednesday, Thursday, Tuesday Wednesday really and
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: that's everybody's working. So it's like you don't really get
- 1:04:23Speaker 7: a chance to hang out with people or go on
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: vacations or whatever.
- 1:04:26Speaker 12: So it's a bit odd.
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: But yeah, football, I mean we miss all the games,
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: but yeah, I'll watch Usually our race gets done in
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: time to like when Sunday night football's turned on, which
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: is cool, we can sit on the plane and.
- 1:04:40Speaker 12: Watch some football.
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: So what now, man, how long do you celebrate this
- 1:04:44Speaker 6: win and enjoy this win and then move on to
- 1:04:46Speaker 6: the next.
- 1:04:48Speaker 7: I would say, I mean the banquet we have here
- 1:04:51Speaker 7: in Arizona tomorrow, So I think that makes the celebration
- 1:04:55Speaker 7: much shorter before, you know, we used to have the
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: banquet at three or four weeks, probably after the final race.
- 1:05:01Speaker 7: So it's I would think that the celebration seems longer.
- 1:05:05Speaker 7: But I think it'll be good. I I I think
- 1:05:07Speaker 7: it's good that we're having it right after. It's fresh,
- 1:05:09Speaker 7: you're excited still and all that. So yeah, I look
- 1:05:13Speaker 7: forward to celebrating with the team again tomorrow night and
- 1:05:16Speaker 7: celebrating this the year that all of us teams had,
- 1:05:20Speaker 7: and then yeah, getting.
- 1:05:21Speaker 12: Focused for for next year.
- 1:05:23Speaker 7: I'll get to I do a lot of dirt track racing,
- 1:05:25Speaker 7: so I'll do some some dirt track stuff this offseason,
- 1:05:27Speaker 7: and then yeah, just get ready for for Daytona in February.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Lastly, where does the where does the trophy go?
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: Because when I won my first CMA award, I was like,
- 1:05:37Speaker 6: I'm this is going my living room.
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: My wife's like, no, it's not it.
- 1:05:41Speaker 7: I have a nice trophy case in my house, like
- 1:05:44Speaker 7: a game room, so glass, you know, lit up trophy case.
- 1:05:49Speaker 7: It's really nice and that's where I have all my
- 1:05:51Speaker 7: big wins. But yeah, I'm gonna have to kind of
- 1:05:55Speaker 7: re lay out the shelving and I and I think,
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: you know, probably gonna have to pull a trophy out
- 1:06:02Speaker 7: of there because they're all big ones and uh yeah,
- 1:06:05Speaker 7: I don't think all of the space for everything.
- 1:06:07Speaker 6: That's a good problem to have, dude. Congratulations, man, it's
- 1:06:09Speaker 6: really awesome. It was a great race, it was a
- 1:06:13Speaker 6: good season. And just congrats do and thank you so
- 1:06:16Speaker 6: much for making time to hang out with us with
- 1:06:18Speaker 6: us today.
- 1:06:19Speaker 12: Yeah, thank you, thanks so much, Bud.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: All Right, that's gonna wrap us up. I hope everybody
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: has a great weekend. You too, man. I was just
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: looking at games like, we're screwed our money league this week,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: no matter what, because our teams are playing each other
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: and we gotta buy. We're gonna be down in the
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: whole bout a thousand bucks again we always had that
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: time we were up a thousand in ear league. Is
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: that bad? It could? Yeah, it could. Yeah. I thought
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: it was gonna be a good week because the Cowboys
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: aren'tna buy too many teams on buying. Yeah, yeah, it
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: sucks for us. Okay, big college game of the week.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: I think the BYU Texas Tech game is super interesting
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: because I think it's kind of, as Andy Staple said,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: a playoff game, but they may meet each other again.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: I think that's a fun one. I think LSU at
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Alabama's fun. Orgon eye organ and I it's a pretty
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: good weekend for college football. That's all. You're just gonna
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: be sitting around watching football. Probably did you actually have
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: a good reason. Yeah, but I really don't get any
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: pressure to not sit around watch football anyway. We don't
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: have a baby yet, and I think with the baby,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna be sitting around even more watching football. Yeah,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: because you're gonna be. My wife's not like nagging me
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: to go do crap. I think for the first few
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: years she wanted to do stuff, and now she's like,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: I ask, screwt, where Mary do it? Ever? You want?
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: I know who I'm married.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like you do your thing. Yeah, you guys
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: have a good Uh Well, I mean this is Thursday
