- 0:05Speaker 1: Father Ripperger.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Sean, it's good to see you again. It's good to
- 0:08Speaker 2: be here. Welcome to our place. It's beautiful here. I
- 0:12Speaker 2: would love to get a tour here.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Oh, absolutely. Afterwards, we'll do it. Perfect.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Well, like I said, it's great to see you again,
- 0:22Speaker 2: and I've had a great couple of days here.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Got some heavy work done. And so... We got a
- 0:29Speaker 1: lot to talk about.
- 0:30Speaker 2: I've been highlighting a lot of evil the past couple
- 0:34Speaker 2: of years, and I haven't talked much about the good side.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Right.
- 0:38Speaker 2: And so I fully intend to do that today. But
- 0:42Speaker 2: before we get started, everybody gets a gift.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Oh, that's right. Yeah. Okay. Oh, so that's awesome.
- 0:56Speaker 2: This is the SIG MCX Spear 556 model with a
- 1:02Speaker 2: six-hour suppressor on it.
- 1:04Speaker 1: It's got SIG optics, SIG magnifier.
- 1:07Speaker 2: And since you're out here in Colorado, out on some
- 1:12Speaker 2: serious acreage, I thought, you know.
- 1:15Speaker 1: This would be a great gift. Thank you very much.
- 1:17Speaker 1: We'll have to test it out later this afternoon. We'll
- 1:20Speaker 1: definitely do that. Thank you very much. Your last gift
- 1:24Speaker 1: was well-received. Let's just put it that way.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Well, my friend Jason over at SIG's a huge fan
- 1:29Speaker 2: of you as well, and he wanted me to gift
- 1:31Speaker 2: that to you.
- 1:31Speaker 1: So there you go. Thank you very much. So before
- 1:39Speaker 1: we get started, if you don't mind, could you please
- 1:40Speaker 1: lead us in prayer?
- 1:41Speaker 3: Sure.
- 1:43Speaker 1: In the name of the Father, and of the Son,
- 1:44Speaker 1: and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Direct, O Lord, all
- 1:47Speaker 1: our actions by thy holy inspirations, and carry them on
- 1:49Speaker 1: by thy gracious assistance. so that every prayer and work
- 1:52Speaker 1: of ours may begin from thee and by thee, be
- 1:54Speaker 1: it through Christ our Lord. Amen.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Amen.
- 1:57Speaker 1: In the name of the Father, the Son, and the
- 1:58Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. Amen. So I'm going to be honest.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I actually came here originally, my plan was a completely
- 2:06Speaker 2: different agenda.
- 2:08Speaker 1: And I came here to attempt to eviscerate and destroy
- 2:15Speaker 1: two politicians within the current administration that I think are
- 2:19Speaker 1: going to over-exaggerate their allegiance to the Catholic Church to
- 2:24Speaker 1: try to sway the Catholic vote. And I'm not gonna
- 2:29Speaker 1: do that.
- 2:32Speaker 2: The last couple weeks I've just realized that the battle
- 2:36Speaker 2: maybe isn't over the country, not even over the world.
- 2:40Speaker 2: It's over our souls and over our mind. And I
- 2:44Speaker 2: don't think it matters who walks into that office. It
- 2:48Speaker 2: is going to be somebody under heavy diabolical influence, maybe
- 2:53Speaker 2: even straight Satanism. And I think what we're seeing today
- 2:58Speaker 2: is human sacrifice. I don't think it matters what side
- 3:03Speaker 2: gets in there. They're either going to send our youth
- 3:08Speaker 2: to war to die for another country, or they're going
- 3:10Speaker 2: to psychologically mutilate their brains and convince them to mutilate
- 3:15Speaker 2: their bodies and dismember themselves. And I think that it
- 3:18Speaker 2: all goes down to human sacrifice.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Do you believe that? I do. I think for
- 3:27Speaker 1: some time, this was about 10 years ago, I made
- 3:31Speaker 1: an observation in a public conference that this is no
- 3:34Speaker 1: longer a battle of ideas. It's no longer a battle of,
- 3:37Speaker 1: you know, do people have differences of opinions? This is
- 3:40Speaker 1: a battle of good and evil at this point. And
- 3:43Speaker 1: so many of the patterns which we see in the
- 3:47Speaker 1: psychological world of people who are diabolically influenced, you see
- 3:52Speaker 1: those same patterns in the people that are running the
- 3:54Speaker 1: government and, you know, in positions of power. And so,
- 3:58Speaker 1: for the longest time, I've known that this is ultimately
- 4:00Speaker 1: a battle over good and evil at this point. So,
- 4:05Speaker 1: regardless of what, as you mentioned, regardless of whichever political
- 4:08Speaker 1: party or whoever gets in there, you know, you can
- 4:11Speaker 1: shuffle the chairs on the deck of the Titanic, but
- 4:14Speaker 1: it's still gonna go down if people don't address this
- 4:16Speaker 1: in a spiritual manner.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I'll tell you one thing I've learned over the past
- 4:21Speaker 2: several weeks is I will never put my hope or
- 4:25Speaker 2: faith in another man ever again.
- 4:28Speaker 1: It says it right in scripture, right? It's better to
- 4:31Speaker 1: trust in God than in princes. Because they'll end up
- 4:34Speaker 1: selling you out every time. I actually saw this. Even
- 4:37Speaker 1: when the Jews said we wanted a king, they told
- 4:40Speaker 1: God they wanted a king, which is ironic because the
- 4:42Speaker 1: Jews were the only ones who ever had a theocracy,
- 4:45Speaker 1: an authentic theocracy in the entire history of the world,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and they still said they wanted a king. So then
- 4:50Speaker 1: he says, well, this is what he's going to do.
- 4:51Speaker 1: If I give you the king, this is what he's
- 4:54Speaker 1: going to do to you. He's going to send your
- 4:56Speaker 1: children off to war. He's going to take your best lands.
- 4:59Speaker 1: He's going to do this, that, and the other thing.
- 5:00Speaker 1: And they said, we still want a king. So we
- 5:05Speaker 1: never learn. We don't learn.
- 5:08Speaker 2: So before we get to the good stuff, I do
- 5:10Speaker 2: want to cover the alien topic again.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:14Speaker 2: I think it's a dark topic and I have an
- 5:17Speaker 2: inclination that's already been put out in messaging that the
- 5:24Speaker 2: aliens wrote the Bible to control humanity. That's already a
- 5:31Speaker 2: narrative that's being spread.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Right.
- 5:33Speaker 2: We have a timeline of events here that's going on.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I'll read them real quick. And the timeline seems to
- 5:45Speaker 2: be speeding up. Here's the last couple of months. March 2026,
- 5:50Speaker 2: Vice President Vance says publicly he believes UFOs are demons.
- 5:55Speaker 2: The spiritual read reaches the second highest office in the country.
- 5:59Speaker 2: May of 2026, the US government releases UFO files in
- 6:03Speaker 2: splashy headline grabbing fashion. Disclosure moves from fringe to official.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Late May, a group of charismatic pastors claims U.S. officials
- 6:14Speaker 2: met with them and warned them to prepare their churches
- 6:17Speaker 2: for the theological implications of disclosure. May 29th to June 3rd,
- 6:25Speaker 2: Stephen Rossetti posts a video. Most UFO sightings are in
- 6:29Speaker 2: fact demons. Cardinal Melroy removes him at Washington, D.C. 's
- 6:34Speaker 2: Exorcist within days. June 7th, Spielberg on CBS Morning frames
- 6:40Speaker 2: the faith question for a mass audience. Is our God,
- 6:44Speaker 2: is God our God only on this planet? June 12th,
- 6:48Speaker 2: Disclosure Day opens nationwide in a film which the government
- 6:52Speaker 2: releases UFO files mirroring real events three weeks earlier.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Right.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Why are we seeing this sudden fascination within our government
- 7:04Speaker 2: in a sped up timeline in UFO and disclosure release
- 7:07Speaker 2: along that coincides with Hollywood? Uh.
- 7:13Speaker 1: My only, you know, ultimately I don't know why they're
- 7:17Speaker 1: going to do it other than it's just another aspect
- 7:20Speaker 1: of trying to control people psychologically or to manipulate people.
- 7:27Speaker 1: And so that's, part of it is too, is that
- 7:31Speaker 1: they're playing on the fact that people generally are pretty
- 7:34Speaker 1: ignorant about history. Like, you know, as we were mentioning that,
- 7:39Speaker 1: you know, that the scriptures were actually written by aliens,
- 7:42Speaker 1: that type of thing, or that the aliens actually come
- 7:46Speaker 1: here to offer us a way to save humanity, so
- 7:49Speaker 1: they want to supplant Christianity and that type of thing.
- 7:52Speaker 1: And so my suspicion is, again, how much evidence I
- 7:56Speaker 1: would have for it, I don't really know, but my
- 7:58Speaker 1: suspicion is that a lot of the people that are
- 8:01Speaker 1: in government are actually anti-Christian, and so part of their way,
- 8:04Speaker 1: what their goal is, is to supplant Christianity by an
- 8:07Speaker 1: alternative explanation of our origins and things of that sort.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Do you think it is a possibility that the narrative
- 8:14Speaker 2: that they are going to try to destroy christianity by
- 8:18Speaker 2: by by by saying that aliens wrote the bible to
- 8:22Speaker 2: control us do you think that is a is an actual.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Possibility yeah actually if you look at the history of
- 8:27Speaker 1: like for example of um i mean the the supposed
- 8:31Speaker 1: alien communication with people other than say abductions but there's
- 8:35Speaker 1: also where people claim to have some type of communication
- 8:39Speaker 1: with aliens on another planet through astral projection or some
- 8:42Speaker 1: other form of communication. It's always to supplant Christianity as
- 8:48Speaker 1: the solution to man's problems. The demons, or not the
- 8:52Speaker 1: demons so much, because we can get into that too,
- 8:54Speaker 1: but the aliens always say, well, we're here, we're coming,
- 8:58Speaker 1: or this is what we want to communicate to you
- 9:01Speaker 1: to provide a solution to all of man's problems. We
- 9:04Speaker 1: can help you out with that. And then sometimes they
- 9:07Speaker 1: even will propose that human beings originated, that they were
- 9:14Speaker 1: basically just the spawn or the seeds from their having
- 9:18Speaker 1: visited our planet in the past. So it's basically a
- 9:21Speaker 1: whole supplanting of the Genesis narrative about man's origins and
- 9:25Speaker 1: things of that sort. So the whole idea is to
- 9:28Speaker 1: supplant Christianity as the actual understanding of, Um, reality, ultimately.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Would God have made another race somewhere else in the universe? Uh, well,
- 9:42Speaker 1: there's two... My view of all these things tends to
- 9:47Speaker 1: be very complex because of the fact that, um, as
- 9:50Speaker 1: an exorcist, I follow what's called the principle of evidence
- 9:54Speaker 1: very closely. And the principle of evidence says that the
- 9:57Speaker 1: certitude of our, uh, um judgment about something is based
- 10:02Speaker 1: upon the certitude of the evidence so if the evidence
- 10:05Speaker 1: doesn't give a certitude we can kind of arrive at
- 10:08Speaker 1: a conclusion but we don't have that same degree of
- 10:10Speaker 1: certitude that you would have of of you know if
- 10:12Speaker 1: you actually saw something or that type of thing and
- 10:15Speaker 1: so uh that being said the uh if you actually
- 10:21Speaker 1: look at the actual evidence for the possibility of them
- 10:26Speaker 1: living in other locations, then you have to address questions like,
- 10:31Speaker 1: is macroevolution, not microevolution, is macroevolution even possible? Is it
- 10:36Speaker 1: scientifically possible, which is very problematic. Theologically and philosophically, there's
- 10:42Speaker 1: all sorts of problems with it. And the reason for
- 10:46Speaker 1: that is because the theory is that if there was
- 10:49Speaker 1: evolution here, then that means there would be evolution in
- 10:53Speaker 1: the other parts of the universe. And so there would
- 10:57Speaker 1: be beings that would evolve maybe before us and therefore
- 11:00Speaker 1: be more intelligent, et cetera. And so that's kind of
- 11:02Speaker 1: the scientific background that they kind of give to it.
- 11:07Speaker 1: But the evolution question is obviously a whole kind of
- 11:10Speaker 1: an interview on its own. But that's one of the
- 11:16Speaker 1: questions that has to actually be answered first. The second
- 11:19Speaker 1: thing then is as I've read.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Top tier astrophysicists who actually are really serious about, you know,
- 11:27Speaker 4: not just because we see something in the sky that
- 11:30Speaker 4: we can't explain and therefore we conclude that they're from
- 11:32Speaker 4: another planet and that's where the principle of evidence is
- 11:35Speaker 4: actually violated because in point in fact, just because you
- 11:39Speaker 4: see something you can't explain doesn't mean there's people in
- 11:41Speaker 4: other planets.
- 11:41Speaker 1: That's a logical leap that's problematic. And then And then
- 11:48Speaker 1: the abduction questions, which are often linked to those things,
- 11:52Speaker 1: then also has another possible explanation, et cetera. So what's
- 11:56Speaker 1: happening is that people are not following the principle of
- 11:58Speaker 1: evidence closely, but when you read the astrophysicists, the top-tier astrophysicists,
- 12:04Speaker 1: they're all very adamant in saying that the energy requirements
- 12:09Speaker 1: to be able to travel, even from one of our
- 12:12Speaker 1: closest neighbors is so extreme that it's not reasonable to
- 12:18Speaker 1: presume that it's even possible. I mean, based upon the
- 12:21Speaker 1: science and the mathematics. I mean, why would God create
- 12:27Speaker 1: other beings anyways? I mean, he loves us so much. Yeah.
- 12:32Speaker 2: I mean, we see, I can feel the battle within
- 12:35Speaker 2: me of good and evil. I can feel it. I
- 12:38Speaker 2: think a lot of people can feel it.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Yeah, in a certain sense... And just a caveat to that,
- 12:44Speaker 1: I mean, we're the only species on the planet that
- 12:47Speaker 1: even is aware of its own death. That's correct. Yeah,
- 12:50Speaker 1: that's right.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Why wouldn't he make another super intelligence here on this planet?
- 12:54Speaker 1: Why would it? Why?
- 12:56Speaker 3: Well, so.
- 12:58Speaker 1: And therein actually lies a specific philosophical question. The.
- 13:05Speaker 1: If you actually look at, there's a principle called the
- 13:07Speaker 1: hierarchy of being, which basically means that when God created
- 13:10Speaker 1: the universe, he created it in a hierarchy from the
- 13:13Speaker 1: lowest thing, like the lowest elements, rocks, that type of thing,
- 13:15Speaker 1: all the way up through the highest, which is the
- 13:18Speaker 1: angels at the very top. And every single intermediate stage
- 13:22Speaker 1: has some kind of a being. This is why we
- 13:23Speaker 1: see all sorts of different kind of animals and that
- 13:26Speaker 1: type of thing up that goes up through the gradation.
- 13:29Speaker 1: And the human beings are, as we read in scripture,
- 13:32Speaker 1: a little less than the angels. So we're the ones
- 13:34Speaker 1: that bridge the gap between the angels and animals, because
- 13:37Speaker 1: we're a rational animal, right? So we're animals, but we
- 13:40Speaker 1: have rationality, and that's why we're the only ones that
- 13:42Speaker 1: have knowledge of that type of thing. And to put
- 13:46Speaker 1: it in philosophical terms, the specific difference that human beings
- 13:50Speaker 1: have from other animals is precisely the fact that we're rational,
- 13:53Speaker 1: we're intelligent, and we can know these things. So that's
- 13:57Speaker 1: what makes us specifically different. If you have other beings
- 14:01Speaker 1: and other planets, then you'd actually have a problem with
- 14:04Speaker 1: the principle, the hierarchy of being, because you'd have to
- 14:06Speaker 1: have two beings that have the same specific difference, but
- 14:10Speaker 1: they're not in the same species. The other part of
- 14:13Speaker 1: it is too, and this is where the real supplanting
- 14:17Speaker 1: of Christianity occurs. I know there's theologians who have tried
- 14:19Speaker 1: to argue contrary to this, but it never washed, which
- 14:22Speaker 1: is basically if Adam and Eve were created in a
- 14:25Speaker 1: state of perfection, and then there was a fall as
- 14:30Speaker 1: a result of that, Then when Christ came, he came
- 14:33Speaker 1: specifically to redeem Adam's line. In fact, the fathers say
- 14:41Speaker 1: that where the crucifixion took place is directly over the
- 14:44Speaker 1: tomb where Adam was buried, specifically to indicate that it
- 14:49Speaker 1: was the spilling of his blood to redeem the line
- 14:52Speaker 1: of Adam. And so original sin, which was committed, which
- 14:55Speaker 1: we're all messed up as a result of that, is
- 14:58Speaker 1: passed on through human nature, okay? If that was the case,
- 15:01Speaker 1: then you would actually, if that's the case theologically, which
- 15:05Speaker 1: we all believe, even Protestants recognize that there was this
- 15:08Speaker 1: sin that they originally committed and now we're all kind
- 15:10Speaker 1: of affected by it, then what happens is you would
- 15:13Speaker 1: actually have beings in the universe, intelligent beings, that were
- 15:16Speaker 1: not from the line of Adam, but were now subject
- 15:20Speaker 1: to the effects, because St. Paul says that, and which
- 15:23Speaker 1: we actually see, says the whole of creation groans under
- 15:25Speaker 1: the weight of the sin, basically of Adam, in other words,
- 15:29Speaker 1: all of the universe got affected as a result of
- 15:34Speaker 1: Adam's sin because he was the one that was placed
- 15:38Speaker 1: in dominion over the totality of the naturally created order.
- 15:41Speaker 1: And so when he fell, he took the whole created
- 15:44Speaker 1: order with him. And that's why we see death among animals.
- 15:47Speaker 1: This is why we see starvation even among animals and
- 15:51Speaker 1: things like that. So even they suffer as a result
- 15:53Speaker 1: of that. Well, you'd actually have a being that didn't actually,
- 15:56Speaker 1: wasn't in that line and still be somehow subject to it.
- 16:00Speaker 1: And so that creates a theological problem. There's all sorts
- 16:04Speaker 1: of other issues that actually arise in relationship to the
- 16:08Speaker 1: whole positing of those creatures in another location. The second
- 16:12Speaker 1: part about it is that if the fathers of the church,
- 16:17Speaker 1: so the fathers of the church are those that were
- 16:19Speaker 1: writing from right at the death of the last apostles
- 16:22Speaker 1: up until about 800 to 1,000. And the reason why
- 16:26Speaker 1: in the church, we tend to pay quite a bit
- 16:28Speaker 1: attention to them is because they were so close to
- 16:30Speaker 1: the time of the apostles that they actually had the
- 16:33Speaker 1: tradition and certain things from the apostles that was still intact.
- 16:36Speaker 1: So they actually understood, you know, when the apostles wrote
- 16:40Speaker 1: certain things in scripture, what those things meant, because they
- 16:42Speaker 1: had this proximity of people who were still alive and say, yeah,
- 16:45Speaker 1: this is what he said, and this is what we
- 16:46Speaker 1: understood by it. So that's why the fathers of the
- 16:49Speaker 1: church are so key. Okay. But the fathers of their church, uh,
- 16:55Speaker 1: you know, basically, um, uh, make it very clear that
- 17:00Speaker 1: we are basically human beings are the center of the
- 17:03Speaker 1: moral universe in the sense that, um, even the angels
- 17:08Speaker 1: that were created their entire battle, which we can talk
- 17:11Speaker 1: about later, their entire creation and their entire battle, we
- 17:14Speaker 1: all revolved around us ultimately in the end. And so
- 17:19Speaker 1: you would actually have a situation where there's beings on
- 17:22Speaker 1: other planets where, the whole totality of the angelic order
- 17:25Speaker 1: had nothing to do with them. So there's a lot
- 17:27Speaker 1: of theological problems. And so in the end, the idea
- 17:32Speaker 1: that there's beings on other planets, which by the way
- 17:34Speaker 1: is not new, this has been around for millennia, this
- 17:38Speaker 1: idea was wholeheartedly rejected by philosophers, theologians, and even scientists
- 17:45Speaker 1: in large part now.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Let me tell you guys a story real quick. Once
- 17:53Speaker 2: upon a time, there was a guy who joined the
- 17:56Speaker 2: SEAL teams. And then he went to CIA and he
- 18:00Speaker 2: did some contracting over there. And one thing he learned
- 18:03Speaker 2: is that when it comes to devices, cell phones, tablets, computers,
- 18:09Speaker 2: pretty much anything, there is no privacy. When he got
- 18:13Speaker 2: to Central Intelligence Agency, he had to be issued all
- 18:17Speaker 2: these special devices like black phones to help protect sensitive information,
- 18:24Speaker 2: so it wouldn't get out. And then this guy got
- 18:28Speaker 2: out of that, and he started a podcast. And when
- 18:31Speaker 2: the podcast started, he was just kind of talking to
- 18:34Speaker 2: former colleagues, people over at Central Intelligence Agency, former soft guys,
- 18:40Speaker 2: dev group guys, delta guys. And then it kind of developed,
- 18:45Speaker 2: and it turned into interviewing politicians. And then it turned
- 18:49Speaker 2: into interviewing presidents and vice presidents. And then it turned
- 18:54Speaker 2: into heads of state. And this guy, through the arc
- 18:59Speaker 2: of the podcast, started really becoming concerned, not only for
- 19:03Speaker 2: his own privacy, but also for the privacy of his team.
- 19:07Speaker 2: They're traveling all over the world. And so they went
- 19:11Speaker 2: on a venture, and they were looking for a black phone,
- 19:16Speaker 2: a black device that cannot be tracked. And they found it.
- 19:20Speaker 2: And when they found it, they realized how expensive that is.
- 19:24Speaker 2: It's almost unaffordable. So that guy in the story is me.
- 19:33Speaker 2: And so what I've done now is I wanted to
- 19:36Speaker 2: develop an app that's affordable for everybody to protect you
- 19:43Speaker 2: and your data. You see, you don't realize how much
- 19:48Speaker 2: information is being exposed out of your device to track you,
- 19:54Speaker 2: to sell your information, and destroy your privacy. And so
- 20:00Speaker 2: I partnered with a couple of former intelligence guys, NSA types,
- 20:07Speaker 2: and we developed an app called the Glacier app. What
- 20:11Speaker 2: the Glacier app is, is the first thing that I
- 20:14Speaker 2: wanted was burner numbers. I wanted numbers because I'm connected
- 20:18Speaker 2: to all these different people all over the world, state actors, politicians, people.
- 20:24Speaker 3: I don't trust, and my number gets leaked.
- 20:28Speaker 2: And then I start getting phone calls from people that
- 20:30Speaker 2: I don't want phone calls from. Maybe for regular people,
- 20:35Speaker 2: you're ordering a pizza, you're staying at a hotel, you're
- 20:38Speaker 2: donating to a political campaign, And then you start getting
- 20:41Speaker 2: all the spam calls, right? Well, now you don't have
- 20:45Speaker 2: to do that. You can get a burner number through
- 20:47Speaker 2: this application that we developed. The application's called the Glacier App.
- 20:53Speaker 2: And when the relationship's done, you just delete the number,
- 20:57Speaker 2: you pick a new one. You can pick any area
- 20:59Speaker 2: code you want. That way, when you burn the number,
- 21:04Speaker 2: there's absolutely zero way for them to get back in
- 21:07Speaker 2: contact with you. On top of that, We built a
- 21:10Speaker 2: secure DNS. So basically what secure DNS is, is it
- 21:14Speaker 2: allows you to surf the web without being tracked. You
- 21:18Speaker 2: know what I'm talking about. You talk about something with
- 21:21Speaker 2: your family, maybe a product. Maybe you want to buy
- 21:23Speaker 2: some new.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Piece of gear.
- 21:26Speaker 2: And then the next thing you know, you're getting advertisements
- 21:28Speaker 2: all over your phone for it because they're listening, they're
- 21:32Speaker 2: exploiting your data, and they're selling it. They're tracking you.
- 21:35Speaker 2: So that's what DNS kind of helps with. Then we
- 21:38Speaker 2: put an American owned us VPN company. So you see
- 21:43Speaker 2: a lot of these other VPN companies that you think
- 21:46Speaker 2: are American are owned by China.
- 21:48Speaker 3: They're owned by Russia. They're owned by Israel.
- 21:52Speaker 2: And a lot of these companies own several VPN, maybe 20, 30,
- 21:57Speaker 2: maybe 50, maybe a hundred VPN companies, but it's all
- 22:01Speaker 2: one company that owns it. And So we are an
- 22:05Speaker 2: all-American VPN company, and we store no data. All the
- 22:09Speaker 2: data stays on your device. It took a long time
- 22:15Speaker 2: to develop this. We put a lot into it. It's
- 22:18Speaker 2: been about a year, and it's finally here. You've heard
- 22:21Speaker 2: about me talking about it on the show. Once again,
- 22:23Speaker 2: it's called the Glacier app. It's available at theglacierapp.com or
- 22:29Speaker 2: on the Apple Store.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Right now, it's only available for iOS devices.
- 22:34Speaker 2: But soon it will be for Android as well, and
- 22:38Speaker 2: we'll send email updates on that. So I want you
- 22:42Speaker 2: to remember one thing. Privacy is not paranoia.
- 22:47Speaker 1: It's protection.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Once again, theglacierapp.com.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 22:56Speaker 2: I think a lot of people are tracking the wrong
- 22:58Speaker 2: things when it comes to health. They track steps, workouts,
- 23:02Speaker 2: body weight, all that kind of stuff. And that stuff
- 23:05Speaker 2: can be useful, but if you don't know what's happening
- 23:08Speaker 2: inside your body, you're still missing the bigger picture. That's
- 23:12Speaker 2: why I use superpower. Superpower gives you a real look
- 23:16Speaker 2: under the hood. One simple lab test gives you information
- 23:21Speaker 2: on over a hundred biomarkers. I'm talking about things like cholesterol, testosterone, cortisol,
- 23:28Speaker 2: and that's just the start. And the value is not
- 23:30Speaker 2: just the lab test. It's what superpower helps you do
- 23:33Speaker 2: with the information. You can track your results over time,
- 23:37Speaker 2: understand long-term trends, see your biological age, and get a
- 23:41Speaker 2: personalized protocol based on your results.
- 23:44Speaker 1: That's what makes it useful.
- 23:46Speaker 2: If you're serious about training, recovery, energy, longevity, or just
- 23:50Speaker 2: staying ahead of your health, you need more than surface-level data.
- 23:53Speaker 2: You need to know what's actually going on. Superpower is
- 23:56Speaker 2: the most affordable 100-plus biomarker lab test. Starting at $ 199 and.
- 24:03Speaker 2: It's HSAFSA eligible. Make this the year you stop guessing
- 24:07Speaker 2: about your health with Superpower. For a limited time, our
- 24:11Speaker 2: listeners get $ 20 off to unlock their new health intelligence.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Head over to Superpower.com and use code SRS for $ 20
- 24:19Speaker 2: off your $ 199 Superpower membership. And after you sign up,
- 24:24Speaker 2: they'll ask you how you heard about Superpower. Tell them
- 24:27Speaker 2: the Sean Ryan Show sent you to support the show.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Why are we so important to God? I mean, everything
- 24:38Speaker 2: He created is for us, to protect us.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Right. Ultimately, because... For us to live off of. I mean, everything.
- 24:48Speaker 1: It seems that human beings, we're everything to Him. Why?
- 24:53Speaker 1: Why us? Why are we so important? Why does he
- 24:57Speaker 1: love us so much? I think there's two reasons. One
- 25:00Speaker 1: is because we're made in his image. And that image,
- 25:03Speaker 1: the theological tradition is very clear, is because we have
- 25:08Speaker 1: intelligence and free will. So he made us that way
- 25:11Speaker 1: to be like him in that regard. Because his choice
- 25:15Speaker 1: to create us was purely free. He didn't have to,
- 25:17Speaker 1: but he made it. So when he created us, in fact, St.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Augustine makes the observation that one of the greatest people
- 25:24Speaker 1: signs of God's omnipotence is the ability to create something
- 25:29Speaker 1: and sustain it in being and even sustain its acts
- 25:32Speaker 1: in being that has the ability to choose between different goods.
- 25:35Speaker 1: And this isn't determined to one thing. That's a sign
- 25:38Speaker 1: of omnipotence. And so in us is his image and
- 25:43Speaker 1: the manifestation of his glory. So if you read the theologians,
- 25:48Speaker 1: especially like Thomas Aquinas, he makes the observation that Because
- 25:53Speaker 1: God is goodness itself, the proper object of God's love
- 25:57Speaker 1: and will is himself because he's goodness itself. The difference is,
- 26:02Speaker 1: is we aren't goodness itself. And so for us to
- 26:04Speaker 1: be make ourselves our own objects of our own love
- 26:07Speaker 1: basically is disorder because we're only good because we are
- 26:11Speaker 1: somehow participate in his good. Okay. But when he creates us,
- 26:16Speaker 1: it's called the principle of redundance. The good redounds to us.
- 26:19Speaker 1: And so we are good. in many ways, by virtue
- 26:23Speaker 1: of the fact that we manifest intelligence and will, we
- 26:26Speaker 1: can make choices, we can become virtuous. And so as
- 26:29Speaker 1: a result of that, he sees the good in us,
- 26:34Speaker 1: and then that's why he loves us, because we're like him.
- 26:38Speaker 1: And so his love for us, and even when he
- 26:40Speaker 1: shows his love for us, is directly proportionate to how
- 26:43Speaker 1: much we're like him. What was before everything?
- 27:01Speaker 2: What was before angels? What was before us? What was before,
- 27:08Speaker 2: was there always good and evil? Or was there just good?
- 27:12Speaker 2: There was just good. Because there was just God.
- 27:16Speaker 1: The difficulty with saying what was before us is the
- 27:19Speaker 1: fact that we're transposing time on God. So there's actually
- 27:24Speaker 1: three states that beings exist in. There's what's called eternity,
- 27:29Speaker 1: which has neither a beginning or an end. And there's
- 27:32Speaker 1: no sequence of events. It's just the eternal now. That's
- 27:35Speaker 1: what God is in. And so God actually sees what
- 27:38Speaker 1: you're doing now, what you did in the past, what
- 27:40Speaker 1: you're going to do in the future. He sees whether
- 27:42Speaker 1: you make it to heaven. He sees all of that
- 27:43Speaker 1: at the same instance, because there's no beginning or end
- 27:46Speaker 1: with him. And so in a certain sense, there's no
- 27:49Speaker 1: before or after with God. God, who was in eternity,
- 27:55Speaker 1: if we want to put it from our perspective, before
- 27:57Speaker 1: he created us, even though even that's not entirely accurate,
- 28:02Speaker 1: but God always existed. So in God, whose goodness itself,
- 28:05Speaker 1: there was only good. Then he creates the angels into
- 28:10Speaker 1: what's called the Avum, which has a beginning, but it
- 28:14Speaker 1: has no end. And so the angels will always exist.
- 28:18Speaker 1: When we die and go to heaven, we enter into
- 28:20Speaker 1: the avum because it will never end. So we'll either
- 28:23Speaker 1: be in heaven or we'll be in hell for all eternity.
- 28:26Speaker 1: So there's that. In this life, when he created us,
- 28:29Speaker 1: he created us in time, which is kind of a
- 28:32Speaker 1: law or a structure which regulates the passage of matter
- 28:37Speaker 1: through motion. It's basically the way the philosophers talk about it,
- 28:39Speaker 1: but it has a beginning and it will have an
- 28:41Speaker 1: end at the final judgment, okay? So before God created
- 28:46Speaker 1: the angels and us, he always was, and so there
- 28:50Speaker 1: was only good. When he created the angels, he created
- 28:54Speaker 1: them in a state of innocence, in a state of perfection,
- 28:56Speaker 1: and also what's called the state of grace, that there
- 28:58Speaker 1: was in their natures or substance a qualitative reflection of him,
- 29:04Speaker 1: a participation in his divine nature, as how St. Paul
- 29:07Speaker 1: describes it. But he created them in that state of perfection,
- 29:11Speaker 1: And then some of them, through their free choice, chose
- 29:14Speaker 1: to reject that, and that's when evil first entered. How
- 29:18Speaker 1: many angels are there? Do we know? We don't know
- 29:22Speaker 1: the exact number, obviously, but we know they're in the
- 29:25Speaker 1: order of billions. And the reason we know that is
- 29:29Speaker 1: because it is... In theology, we have various degrees of
- 29:36Speaker 1: certainty about theological propositions. So, for example, that Christ is God,
- 29:41Speaker 1: we know is part of divine revelation, so it's absolutely certain.
- 29:46Speaker 1: But then there's some other things like this particular question
- 29:50Speaker 1: of whether each person has their own guardian angel is
- 29:52Speaker 1: called theologically certain. It's not divinely revealed, but there's indicators
- 29:57Speaker 1: in scripture for it. So, and then also just through
- 30:00Speaker 1: the church's tradition and our experience with the church, we
- 30:03Speaker 1: know that each person was created for their own guardian angel.
- 30:06Speaker 1: So if that's the case, then that being the case,
- 30:10Speaker 1: the number of human beings that's generally speculated to have
- 30:13Speaker 1: lived is in the, about 20 billion. So we know
- 30:16Speaker 1: just in, and there's nine hierarchies, there's, sorry, nine choirs
- 30:22Speaker 1: of angels. of the lowest rank is the angels, and
- 30:27Speaker 1: each one of us got a guardian angel. So that
- 30:29Speaker 1: means just in that lowest rank, just one subset is
- 30:33Speaker 1: 20 billion. But there's more angels that also were given
- 30:37Speaker 1: other jobs. And so it's literally in the billions. As
- 30:40Speaker 1: you go up the hierarchy, it becomes less and less
- 30:43Speaker 1: number of angels in each one of the choirs. But
- 30:45Speaker 1: we know that there are literally billions. The fascinating thing is, um,
- 30:50Speaker 1: according to St. Thomas Aquinas, but then also to, which
- 30:53Speaker 1: he bases it off, um, Sutra Dionysius' writings in the, uh,
- 30:57Speaker 1: early church, very early church, within the first, uh, one
- 31:00Speaker 1: or two centuries of the church, that that entire hierarchy
- 31:04Speaker 1: of angels was created instantaneously all at once. Instantaneously. Instantaneously
- 31:09Speaker 1: all at once. So unlike human beings, which God, you know,
- 31:13Speaker 1: creates our souls and we, there's more of us that
- 31:15Speaker 1: are created over time, the whole nine choirs Were all
- 31:20Speaker 1: of them created instantaneously at once? Were our souls all
- 31:23Speaker 1: created at once? No. They're created at the time of
- 31:26Speaker 1: your conception. So your soul's created and infused in you
- 31:32Speaker 1: at the time of your conception. So human beings, there's
- 31:36Speaker 1: an ongoing creation and relationship to their souls, but angels,
- 31:40Speaker 1: the totality of them were created all at once. How
- 31:43Speaker 1: long before humans were there angels? Do we know that?
- 31:46Speaker 1: The fathers of the church, say that when he created
- 31:49Speaker 1: this totality of the angels, then he immediately after that
- 31:54Speaker 1: began the creation of, in the creation account in Genesis,
- 31:57Speaker 1: he began the creation. So he first, you know, creates
- 32:02Speaker 1: the light and things like that. So you have that
- 32:03Speaker 1: first day, it follows immediately upon that. And then human
- 32:07Speaker 1: beings follow after that. Can we talk about the hierarchy? Sure.
- 32:17Speaker 1: What is the hierarchy? So the angels were created in
- 32:22Speaker 1: a hierarchic structure, and there's nine choirs broken into what
- 32:27Speaker 1: they call ranks. So there's three ranks. So it's kind
- 32:30Speaker 1: of like almost like a military in that sense. The
- 32:33Speaker 1: very top rank is made of the seraphim, which is
- 32:37Speaker 1: the very top. And each angel is its own species.
- 32:43Speaker 1: And As an exorcist dealing with fallen angels, their personalities
- 32:47Speaker 1: are so distinct, much more distinct than human personalities. And
- 32:51Speaker 1: so you do get a sense of that they're each
- 32:53Speaker 1: specifically different. Part of that has to do with human
- 32:58Speaker 1: beings and also with other animals. A species is different
- 33:01Speaker 1: because of the fact that there's something about them called
- 33:05Speaker 1: the specific difference that makes this species different from another one.
- 33:08Speaker 1: That's called the specific difference. With human beings, We don't
- 33:12Speaker 1: have a difference. You and I don't. We're not specifically different.
- 33:16Speaker 1: In fact, in human beings, the specific difference is rationality.
- 33:19Speaker 1: You and I are both rational. We know we're of
- 33:21Speaker 1: the same species. What makes us different is what we
- 33:24Speaker 1: call accidental qualities. The fact that you're a bit taller
- 33:27Speaker 1: than I am, a bit bigger build, etc. You have
- 33:30Speaker 1: different facial structure, etc. Your race is a little bit
- 33:33Speaker 1: different than mine, etc. Those different qualities make us different
- 33:37Speaker 1: as human beings. Angels don't have that. They don't have
- 33:42Speaker 1: So it's matter specifically, bodies. It's the fact that I
- 33:46Speaker 1: have this body and you have that body, which makes
- 33:48Speaker 1: us different as human beings, even though by different in
- 33:53Speaker 1: the sense of you're one human being and I'm one
- 33:55Speaker 1: human being, but we're both of the same species. Because
- 33:59Speaker 1: angels don't have bodies, as a result of that, their
- 34:02Speaker 1: specific difference is in their nature, which we can talk
- 34:05Speaker 1: about that because that itself is fascinating. In fact, we
- 34:07Speaker 1: can get to that in relationship to their fall because
- 34:10Speaker 1: it plays a key role in their fall. of some
- 34:12Speaker 1: of them. But that basically means that every single angel
- 34:16Speaker 1: is specifically different. They're as different as, say, a grasshopper
- 34:22Speaker 1: is from a cow. That's how different they are. And
- 34:24Speaker 1: their difference, so each is different. So those differences are
- 34:29Speaker 1: then grouped into nine separate kind of categories, and that's
- 34:33Speaker 1: the choir. And what makes one angel different from another
- 34:39Speaker 1: is how intelligent they are. So the very top angel
- 34:42Speaker 1: is far more intelligent, and so he can understand things
- 34:46Speaker 1: much more universally, much more broadly, and also to much
- 34:49Speaker 1: greater depth than the one that's all the way at
- 34:52Speaker 1: the bottom, even though the lowest angel is far more
- 34:54Speaker 1: intelligent than us. Nevertheless, there's this hierarchy, and it's based
- 34:58Speaker 1: on intelligence. An important point of that also means that
- 35:02Speaker 1: their will is proportionate to how intelligent they are, so
- 35:05Speaker 1: they have a stronger will based upon how intelligent they are.
- 35:08Speaker 1: This is why in hell there's still a hierarchy based
- 35:10Speaker 1: upon how strong of a will that they actually have.
- 35:13Speaker 1: So Satan has the strongest will because he was from
- 35:15Speaker 1: the cherubim, which is the second. So the top rank
- 35:18Speaker 1: is the seraphim. And St. Thomas Aquinas says that their
- 35:21Speaker 1: primary function and role was to simply love God. Their
- 35:25Speaker 1: whole reason for being was to love him. What exactly
- 35:30Speaker 1: does that look like? What is that? If you were
- 35:33Speaker 1: a seraphim, what is your daily life? Yeah, so you're holding,
- 35:39Speaker 1: because he creates each angel with its own natural law,
- 35:42Speaker 1: its own natural set of inclinations. So just as us,
- 35:46Speaker 1: so for example, when a human being gets married, we
- 35:47Speaker 1: have a natural inclination around when they get married, there's
- 35:49Speaker 1: a joy that they have in the marriage, right? From
- 35:52Speaker 1: being married, if it's a good marriage, of course. Or
- 35:55Speaker 1: we have a natural inclination to eat. So when we eat,
- 35:57Speaker 1: we feel satisfied, et cetera. So they get a fulfillment
- 36:00Speaker 1: in just fulfilling the role or their task for which
- 36:03Speaker 1: they were created, which is their nature, right? So for them,
- 36:07Speaker 1: for the seraphim, it literally means just sitting around and
- 36:10Speaker 1: contemplating God for all eternity, just contemplate and then loving
- 36:15Speaker 1: him at the various facets of his goodness. Because God
- 36:19Speaker 1: is infinite, and even the angelic intellects are limited, It
- 36:29Speaker 1: means that for all eternity, they can be looking at
- 36:31Speaker 1: a variety of different facets in God and driving joy
- 36:34Speaker 1: and love and loving God, seeing that goodness in Him
- 36:38Speaker 1: for all eternity, and it's never exhausted. And that's what
- 36:41Speaker 1: it is for us when we get to heaven, once
- 36:42Speaker 1: we get to see God face to face. For all eternity,
- 36:45Speaker 1: we'll be learning something new about Him and the delight
- 36:48Speaker 1: that we'll get out of that. So for them, when
- 36:51Speaker 1: they see those good things in God, they're naturally inclined
- 36:53Speaker 1: to love Him from that perspective. Would a human being
- 36:56Speaker 1: ever have interaction with a seraphim? Yes, they can at times.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Not necessarily in this life. St. Thomas says that their
- 37:05Speaker 1: interaction with us is fairly limited and has to do
- 37:09Speaker 1: with the scope. So the top rank deals with God.
- 37:13Speaker 1: So the seraphim, their job is to love God. The cherubim,
- 37:17Speaker 1: their perfections that God gave them was to know God,
- 37:21Speaker 1: to know the various aspects of God. That's why if
- 37:23Speaker 1: you look at the patterns of the psychology of Satan,
- 37:27Speaker 1: formerly Lucifer, part of Lucifer II, which we can talk about,
- 37:31Speaker 1: his psychological patterns are that of a cherubim, which is
- 37:34Speaker 1: what St. Thomas talks about. And the reason being is
- 37:36Speaker 1: because for him, everything revolves around knowledge of beauty, ultimately,
- 37:41Speaker 1: which is what he was created for. But then, and
- 37:44Speaker 1: seeing the contemplating that beauty in God. And then the
- 37:48Speaker 1: next one is the thrones. So the thrones, their job is,
- 37:51Speaker 1: to take that knowledge about God and what his will is,
- 37:54Speaker 1: and then propagate that knowledge down through the middle rank.
- 37:58Speaker 1: And so the middle rank is actually, their job is administrative.
- 38:04Speaker 1: So as an exorcist, even when you get demons that
- 38:06Speaker 1: have fallen there from that middle rank, you rarely see
- 38:10Speaker 1: them because their job, that middle rank is really about
- 38:15Speaker 1: governance of those below them and making sure everything is
- 38:19Speaker 1: done right. So it's basically middle management type of thing.
- 38:22Speaker 1: And God created three different choirs for that. So you
- 38:26Speaker 1: have the thrones, principalities, powers, and dominations, which are in
- 38:30Speaker 1: the middle. And then below that then is the lowest
- 38:34Speaker 1: choir of them, and their jobs are the foot soldiers.
- 38:38Speaker 1: So the middle rank, the top rank contemplates God, the
- 38:42Speaker 1: thrones tell them this is what God's will is, that
- 38:45Speaker 1: governance process, the commands and stuff are propagated down through
- 38:48Speaker 1: the middle ranks, and then you have the lowest rank
- 38:51Speaker 1: that actually executes them. And so that lower ranks, which
- 38:55Speaker 1: also includes archangels and angels, that lower ranks, their job
- 38:59Speaker 1: is to actually execute. So those angels are the ones
- 39:03Speaker 1: that we will actually have interaction with more than likely.
- 39:07Speaker 1: God's special forces. Yes, exactly. Can angels advance in rank?
- 39:12Speaker 3: No.
- 39:13Speaker 1: No. Because their rank in the hierarchy is fixed. Well,
- 39:20Speaker 1: let me back up just a bit. How high you
- 39:24Speaker 1: are in heaven in that hierarchy is directly proportionate to
- 39:27Speaker 1: how holy you are. Human beings can actually take the
- 39:32Speaker 1: place of fallen angels up through that rank by becoming holy,
- 39:36Speaker 1: very holy, and then they can get a position that
- 39:38Speaker 1: would be higher in the ranks in relationship to that.
- 39:41Speaker 1: So for example, It is the tradition of the Catholic
- 39:45Speaker 1: church to believe that our lady underneath Christ, that underneath Christ,
- 39:49Speaker 1: the first one is our lady. Then underneath them are
- 39:52Speaker 1: the apostles. And then also in St. Joseph, St. John
- 39:56Speaker 1: the Baptist, there's kind of a debate of who's on
- 39:58Speaker 1: the top of that. Then the apostles and then the seraphim.
- 40:01Speaker 1: So they're even above, the apostles are even above the seraphim. Oh, wow.
- 40:05Speaker 1: And then other saints, because they become holy, take the
- 40:08Speaker 1: place of different locations. I've actually have a, I have
- 40:11Speaker 1: a case I'm working on right now that part of
- 40:13Speaker 1: the reason this woman's case is dragging out is because
- 40:15Speaker 1: she has to reach a level of holiness, which she's
- 40:17Speaker 1: getting there. She has to reach a level of holiness
- 40:19Speaker 1: to take the place of one of the possessors that
- 40:23Speaker 1: had fallen. So human beings can actually take that. Okay,
- 40:26Speaker 1: so what does that mean? Human beings, because in this
- 40:29Speaker 1: life we can perform actions that merit and therefore increase
- 40:33Speaker 1: and raise our place in heaven, we can actually get
- 40:36Speaker 1: a higher place in heaven than some of the angels.
- 40:39Speaker 1: But the angels, their holiness is directly proportionate to their nature.
- 40:43Speaker 1: It's fixed. They can't merit anything. And so that's why
- 40:47Speaker 1: they have one choice. And then if they make that choice,
- 40:50Speaker 1: their rank in heaven becomes fixed based upon that amount
- 40:53Speaker 1: of holiness that they have. So a human can become
- 40:57Speaker 1: an angel or they can go to the top? Yeah,
- 41:01Speaker 1: they don't become an angel. They get into the ranks.
- 41:04Speaker 1: They go up through the ranks or through the choirs.
- 41:07Speaker 1: in the sense of they become holier than an angel,
- 41:09Speaker 1: and therefore they get their amount of holiness that they
- 41:12Speaker 1: have would exceed those angels that are below them, and
- 41:15Speaker 1: so they're above them in the command structure in heaven,
- 41:19Speaker 1: the authority structure in heaven.
- 41:21Speaker 2: I've heard, and I may have this wrong, is there,
- 41:24Speaker 2: will God pick 300 humans for the end times to
- 41:30Speaker 2: do his battle against evil?
- 41:33Speaker 1: I've heard that theory, but I have not seen the
- 41:35Speaker 1: evidence to back it up. Okay. So it could be,
- 41:38Speaker 1: we'll find out. There are certain things we know about
- 41:40Speaker 1: the end, like John the Baptist, that St. Elijah and St.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Enoch are gonna return, that type of thing, so. Let's
- 41:48Speaker 1: talk about the fall. Okay. What happened? So when the
- 41:54Speaker 1: angels were created, so the whole hierarchy of angels is
- 41:57Speaker 1: created at once. Now the way angels know things is
- 42:02Speaker 1: the exact opposite of the way we know things. The
- 42:05Speaker 1: way we know something is we have to come in
- 42:07Speaker 1: contact with the thing we have to work with for
- 42:09Speaker 1: a little while, then eventually kind of gain a more
- 42:10Speaker 1: abstract knowledge of it, and eventually we can kind of
- 42:13Speaker 1: have a universal knowledge of the thing. So it takes
- 42:15Speaker 1: us a while to actually get to the point where
- 42:17Speaker 1: we fully understand something. And so, and we even see
- 42:20Speaker 1: this even when we wake up. You know, we wake up,
- 42:22Speaker 1: it takes us a while to get fully functioning. And
- 42:24Speaker 1: even when we're gonna make a choice, a lot of
- 42:26Speaker 1: times we have to go through a series of steps
- 42:27Speaker 1: to kind of consider various things before we make the choice. Okay.
- 42:31Speaker 1: That's because our knowledge comes through the senses. We have
- 42:34Speaker 1: to be in contact with something, and then from that,
- 42:35Speaker 1: we can actually know something about it. And we can
- 42:39Speaker 1: also infer knowledge based upon that about other things that
- 42:42Speaker 1: we don't necessarily see, et cetera. With angels, their knowledge
- 42:47Speaker 1: is infused by God. That's their mode of knowing, St.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Thomas says. So at the first instance of their creation,
- 42:55Speaker 1: God did two things. The first is He, in addition
- 42:58Speaker 1: to creating them and creating them in this state of
- 43:01Speaker 1: grace and state of perfection, He also infused in them
- 43:04Speaker 1: the knowledge of all of the essences of created things.
- 43:07Speaker 1: And basically what that means is they know exactly what
- 43:10Speaker 1: a human being is. They know what dogs are, cats are.
- 43:13Speaker 1: They know the natures of these things. Whereas human beings
- 43:15Speaker 1: take a while to finally fully understand those things, they
- 43:18Speaker 1: immediately exhaust everything there is to know about those just
- 43:21Speaker 1: by thinking about them. to the degree of their intelligence.
- 43:24Speaker 1: An infinite knowledge. It's not infinite, because it's still limited
- 43:27Speaker 1: because they're limited. But it's they instantaneously understand everything that
- 43:32Speaker 1: could be known about that thing to the degree of
- 43:34Speaker 1: their intelligence. Instantaneously. They don't have to think things through, okay?
- 43:39Speaker 1: So that's when it comes to the natures of things.
- 43:43Speaker 1: But that's distinct. That kind of knowledge of things is
- 43:46Speaker 1: distinct from knowing this thing is gonna happen at this
- 43:49Speaker 1: point in time. Those are called particulars. So the ones
- 43:51Speaker 1: are kind of called universal knowledge of things. The particulars
- 43:54Speaker 1: are infused in them as they actually occur by God.
- 43:59Speaker 1: So for example, the angels and the demons know what
- 44:02Speaker 1: we are talking about as we talk about it, because
- 44:04Speaker 1: it's infused in their minds. So for example, if they
- 44:07Speaker 1: want to know what's going on in another room, they
- 44:09Speaker 1: just have to think about that room and then boom,
- 44:11Speaker 1: they can see immediately what's actually there. Okay. When they
- 44:16Speaker 1: were created, um, they were created into an act of
- 44:21Speaker 1: knowing because they instantaneously exhaust what there is to know.
- 44:24Speaker 1: And in that act of knowing, they learned a few things. One,
- 44:29Speaker 1: who they are. They instantaneously saw their own nature and
- 44:32Speaker 1: their specific difference. They actually understood by that fact that
- 44:36Speaker 1: God had given them an assigned task. And that assigned
- 44:40Speaker 1: task that he had given to them is who they are.
- 44:43Speaker 1: It's their very nature of who they are. Then, which
- 44:48Speaker 1: we'll talk about what that means in the fall. Plus,
- 44:51Speaker 1: they were given knowledge of all the other angels, because
- 44:53Speaker 1: it's all infused. They give the knowledge of all the
- 44:55Speaker 1: other angels and their assigned tasks. They were also given
- 44:59Speaker 1: knowledge that God was eventually going to become incarnate through
- 45:02Speaker 1: Jesus Christ, and that there were going to be certain
- 45:05Speaker 1: human beings. Those who were created guardian angels were given
- 45:08Speaker 1: knowledge of the person that they were going to have
- 45:11Speaker 1: to guard and to protect and certain aspects of that
- 45:13Speaker 1: person's life. because they would actually be told, this is
- 45:16Speaker 1: the person you're gonna be protecting and that this is
- 45:21Speaker 1: God's will for him in certain respects. They didn't know
- 45:23Speaker 1: all of it, but they knew a lot of it.
- 45:27Speaker 1: So they understood who they are, who the other angels are,
- 45:29Speaker 1: what their assigned task was, these other particular things. And
- 45:35Speaker 1: then they also knew who God was. And they also, St.
- 45:39Speaker 1: Thomas says, were infused with faith, hope, and charity. So
- 45:41Speaker 1: they actually knew that God, the second person of the Trinity,
- 45:44Speaker 1: was going to become incarnate. And we actually know that
- 45:47Speaker 1: from Scripture, that they were given that knowledge in the
- 45:49Speaker 1: very beginning. Because when Christ first shows up on the scene,
- 45:54Speaker 1: they're like, is this the guy? Is this the guy?
- 45:55Speaker 1: Is this the guy? And then once they see he's
- 45:57Speaker 1: doing miracles and he's doing all this other stuff and
- 45:59Speaker 1: the nature of his teaching, they realize, guy. He's the only,
- 46:03Speaker 1: only Christ could explain that who this guy, you know,
- 46:06Speaker 1: cause we were told that he was going to become incarnate. Okay.
- 46:09Speaker 1: So they knew that Christ was going to become incarnate.
- 46:12Speaker 1: And then, um, uh, and they also knew that God
- 46:16Speaker 1: was going to create human beings, et cetera. So, but they,
- 46:19Speaker 1: they also knew God, they had a perfect knowledge of God.
- 46:21Speaker 1: They had knowledge that he was triune because of their
- 46:24Speaker 1: faith that God would control it, showed them that he
- 46:26Speaker 1: was trained, that there's God's son, God, the Holy spirit
- 46:29Speaker 1: and God, the father that he was trained. All of
- 46:31Speaker 1: that they saw in an instant. Wow. So they saw
- 46:37Speaker 1: all of that. And the resulting factor that they saw
- 46:40Speaker 1: that intellectually, the natural response of the will, St. Thomas says,
- 46:45Speaker 1: when they saw that was the light, the beauty of it,
- 46:48Speaker 1: the magnificent, the grandeur of it was just so magnificent
- 46:52Speaker 1: that they just, they were taken by it in their
- 46:54Speaker 1: first instance. And so their first experience in their will.
- 46:59Speaker 1: It wasn't their first choice because it was something which
- 47:01Speaker 1: the will just naturally gravitated for towards because it was
- 47:05Speaker 1: so beautiful. That's in their first instance of their creation.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Because remember, they're in the Avum, which has a sequence
- 47:12Speaker 1: of events. So they have, that's the first instance. Because
- 47:18Speaker 1: they saw that, they also were, in that same thing,
- 47:21Speaker 1: they also saw If they were faithful, they would get
- 47:24Speaker 1: to see God face to face and be happy for
- 47:25Speaker 1: all eternity. But if they rejected God, they would be
- 47:28Speaker 1: damned in hell and miserable for all eternity. So they
- 47:30Speaker 1: knew what the punishment was gonna be like. Then they
- 47:33Speaker 1: have absolute clarity about that. It's not like human beings
- 47:35Speaker 1: where sometimes it's a little hazy for us. It was
- 47:38Speaker 1: absolutely clear. The second instance is then in the second instance, St.
- 47:44Speaker 1: Thomas says, they looked at intellectually, they could see, the temptations,
- 47:51Speaker 1: what all the other angels were going through. Every single
- 47:54Speaker 1: intelligent being in order to be in the presence of
- 47:56Speaker 1: God has to go through a test. And the test
- 47:59Speaker 1: that the angels had is they were created with a
- 48:02Speaker 1: set of perfections, but they could see higher perfections above them.
- 48:07Speaker 1: And they could see that having those perfections would be
- 48:11Speaker 1: actually a really good thing, but in order to have
- 48:13Speaker 1: that perfection, they would have to reject their assigned task.
- 48:17Speaker 1: because it's not part of their nature, it's part of
- 48:20Speaker 1: something else. And so when they saw that perfection, that's
- 48:25Speaker 1: at that point that they had to perform an act
- 48:27Speaker 1: of sacrifice. They either had to sacrifice the desire for
- 48:32Speaker 1: that perfection that they saw that they would like to
- 48:34Speaker 1: have in order to remain faithful to the task that
- 48:38Speaker 1: God had told them that they had to do, But
- 48:42Speaker 1: if they were faithful to that task, what they would
- 48:45Speaker 1: get is the beatific vision, which is above any perfection
- 48:47Speaker 1: that they could possibly have. And so that was their
- 48:50Speaker 1: actual test. So that created jealousy? In a sense. Not
- 48:56Speaker 1: in the sense that they didn't have those kinds of
- 48:59Speaker 1: emotions that we have, but they saw that perfection and
- 49:02Speaker 1: what it would be like to have it would be
- 49:04Speaker 1: a wonderful thing. But they had to be willing to
- 49:06Speaker 1: sacrifice that lesser created good to ultimately end up seeing
- 49:11Speaker 1: God face to face, which is the greatest of the
- 49:13Speaker 1: highest good, the greater good. And we can kind of
- 49:16Speaker 1: return to it, because that's the same problem we have
- 49:18Speaker 1: as human beings, the same thing we live out every
- 49:20Speaker 1: single day. But we have to sacrifice every single day
- 49:23Speaker 1: in order to achieve the greater good. But they saw
- 49:26Speaker 1: that greater good, so that's what they saw intellectually. So
- 49:28Speaker 1: they even saw Satan's temptation, or Lucifer's temptation, and they
- 49:34Speaker 1: knew that if they chose to reject their assigned task
- 49:38Speaker 1: and choose to just desire this thing, they were never
- 49:41Speaker 1: gonna get it, but just to desire it, then they
- 49:45Speaker 1: knew they would be under Satan. So they saw that
- 49:47Speaker 1: whole complexity and then they made their choice. And so
- 49:52Speaker 1: with them, they're very different from us than human beings are.
- 49:57Speaker 1: The reason God has mercy on human beings is because
- 49:59Speaker 1: we're stupid. No, it's true. We, as human beings, we
- 50:04Speaker 1: make decisions and then, you know, afterwards, we're like, oh,
- 50:06Speaker 1: that was a mistake. I shouldn't have done that. And
- 50:09Speaker 1: that's why God has mercy on us. So if we're
- 50:10Speaker 1: sorry for it, God will actually, you know, have mercy
- 50:13Speaker 1: for us. But with the angels, they're not stupid. They
- 50:16Speaker 1: know exactly what they're doing and they know the full
- 50:20Speaker 1: ramifications of it. So when they make their choice, their
- 50:23Speaker 1: choice is all in and their will becomes completely fixed
- 50:27Speaker 1: on that choice, whether it's good or bad. And this
- 50:30Speaker 1: is why even in sessions, demons will say, yeah, it
- 50:34Speaker 1: was a bad choice, but I'd still do it again,
- 50:35Speaker 1: because their wills become fixed in that. So they make
- 50:39Speaker 1: their choice. And then the third instance, St. Thomas says,
- 50:42Speaker 1: is because unlike human beings, we can make stupid choices,
- 50:47Speaker 1: but then we can kind of start getting our act
- 50:49Speaker 1: together later. God gives us time to work through that process.
- 50:52Speaker 1: And then at a certain point when we die, it
- 50:54Speaker 1: becomes fixed. And then he either condemns us or he
- 50:57Speaker 1: brings us into heaven. So for us, it takes us
- 51:00Speaker 1: time to work out our salvation, as St. Paul says,
- 51:02Speaker 1: you know, fear and trembling work out your salvation. So
- 51:05Speaker 1: it takes us time. Whereas the angels, it's a one-shot deal.
- 51:08Speaker 1: And so once they make that choice, their will becomes
- 51:10Speaker 1: completely fixed. And so St. Thomas says in the third instance,
- 51:14Speaker 1: then God levies judgment. Just like all human beings have
- 51:18Speaker 1: to go before Christ and he judges us, all of
- 51:22Speaker 1: them were judged by the second person, the Trinity, as
- 51:25Speaker 1: to what their condemnation would actually be or their reward
- 51:28Speaker 1: in heaven. And so they're immediately damned or they're immediately
- 51:32Speaker 1: taken into heaven and see God immediately. How do we
- 51:35Speaker 1: know this? I mean, some of this is not in
- 51:38Speaker 1: the Bible, correct? Some of it, parts of it are not,
- 51:43Speaker 1: but parts of it actually have to do with two
- 51:46Speaker 1: forms of knowledge that the church has. The first is
- 51:51Speaker 1: saints who have had mystical experiences and also just the
- 51:54Speaker 1: general working out theologically of how these things actually work.
- 51:58Speaker 1: The second component has to do with the collective experience
- 52:02Speaker 1: of exorcists for 2,000 years. Because my experience as an
- 52:06Speaker 1: exorcist is not any different from the exorcists in the
- 52:09Speaker 1: first century AD. And so how demons talk and what
- 52:13Speaker 1: their psychology is and what they end up revealing is
- 52:15Speaker 1: consistent throughout those 2,000 years. So it's all of that
- 52:19Speaker 1: kind of taken together. So it's theological reasoning, So if
- 52:22Speaker 1: you read St. Thomas, it's all based on theological reasoning,
- 52:24Speaker 1: but it's also based on a lot of scripture, but
- 52:27Speaker 1: then also the mystical experiences, but then also just the
- 52:30Speaker 1: church's collective experience in actually dealing with them. It's recorded
- 52:34Speaker 1: information through time. Exactly. Let's go back into the fall. Okay.
- 52:42Speaker 1: Did they all fall at one time? Yeah, it's all
- 52:45Speaker 1: done at the instance. They all fall in that second instance.
- 52:48Speaker 1: What did that look like? Um... Do we know? Well, Scripture,
- 52:54Speaker 1: the description in the book of Revelation is, you know,
- 52:57Speaker 1: I saw Satan fall like lightning. So it was just
- 53:01Speaker 1: this boom, everything had shifted and changed instantaneously in the
- 53:06Speaker 1: experiences and the lives of the angels. So either the
- 53:10Speaker 1: angels that did the good, that chose to do their
- 53:13Speaker 1: assigned task, their will became fixed in the good. And then,
- 53:17Speaker 1: of course, they got to see God right away. But
- 53:18Speaker 1: then the angels, they fell And according to the Fathers
- 53:22Speaker 1: of the Church, and it's actually true, by the way,
- 53:24Speaker 1: in session, I've told demons, you know, I command you
- 53:27Speaker 1: to consider, to weaken them, I command you to consider
- 53:31Speaker 1: your first instance of delight that you had. Because that,
- 53:35Speaker 1: when they felt that joy and that delight that they had,
- 53:38Speaker 1: crushes them now because it's so painful for them to
- 53:41Speaker 1: consider how joyful it was in that moment. So you
- 53:44Speaker 1: actually see these things kind of paying out. But they
- 53:49Speaker 1: also will, some of them will actually, under certain circumstances,
- 53:52Speaker 1: God will compel them to reveal what their judgment that
- 53:56Speaker 1: they underwent by God. And so you find out what
- 53:59Speaker 1: those actual things actually are in relationship to it. So
- 54:02Speaker 1: it's this massive shift and like lightning falling. Did angels
- 54:10Speaker 1: from every rank structure fall? We know from the, lowest
- 54:17Speaker 1: eight ranks that there were ones that fell from those
- 54:21Speaker 1: there is some debate about whether one fell from the
- 54:24Speaker 1: the seraphim or not thomas aquinas says they didn't uh
- 54:28Speaker 1: a majority of the theologians said they that from that
- 54:31Speaker 1: top rank they didn't fall it was just the ones
- 54:33Speaker 1: from cherubim on down because there was nothing to look
- 54:36Speaker 1: up to other than god basically and say for saint
- 54:42Speaker 1: thomas it was that they saw God and their first
- 54:47Speaker 1: inclination was to love him, that they couldn't, that it
- 54:52Speaker 1: was because of the strength of their charity or love
- 54:55Speaker 1: for God that they just did what he asked. Are
- 55:00Speaker 1: there still angels falling today? No. So that all the angels,
- 55:05Speaker 1: since there's no more creation of any angels, and since
- 55:07Speaker 1: they all went through the first three instances together, none
- 55:11Speaker 1: of them are falling now. So they don't, It's not
- 55:13Speaker 1: like you have an angel that ends up later falling.
- 55:16Speaker 1: Do we have numbers on each side? According to the
- 55:20Speaker 1: interpretation of the Fathers, based upon what's in the Book
- 55:23Speaker 1: of Revelation, there's a reference where the dragon sweeps a
- 55:27Speaker 1: third of the stars down by his tail. That has
- 55:30Speaker 1: been interpreted universally by the patristics, that is the Fathers
- 55:35Speaker 1: of the Church, and also the theologians throughout time as
- 55:37Speaker 1: referring to a third of the angels fell. Can angels
- 55:40Speaker 1: redeem themselves? No. Demons, I mean. Yeah. Once their will
- 55:44Speaker 1: becomes fixed in evil, it's irreparable. It can never change.
- 55:48Speaker 1: Do you think they regret it? You know, it reminds
- 55:53Speaker 1: me of a politician, you'll remember who this is, when
- 55:56Speaker 1: he said, I did not have sex with that woman, so-and-so.
- 56:01Speaker 1: He regretted getting caught. He didn't regret the action. And
- 56:07Speaker 1: it's the same thing with them. They have remorse for
- 56:11Speaker 1: in the sense of it bothers them and they hate
- 56:13Speaker 1: themselves for it. And they're sad about the fact that
- 56:16Speaker 1: they committed the sin and that they, you know, that
- 56:22Speaker 1: they're going to be damned for all eternity and suffer
- 56:24Speaker 1: for all eternity, but they would still do it again.
- 56:26Speaker 1: In fact, I had a demon actually say that. So
- 56:28Speaker 1: I said, commanded him, because I was trying to weaken
- 56:30Speaker 1: this guy. I said, so let me get this straight.
- 56:32Speaker 1: And by the way, when I put it colloquially, you know,
- 56:34Speaker 1: in the interview, it's very structured. I'm saying, I command
- 56:38Speaker 1: you to tell me X, Y, and Z. But I
- 56:41Speaker 1: just said, so let me get this straight. You were
- 56:43Speaker 1: created to have the beatific vision. Yes. And you were
- 56:46Speaker 1: created with this phenomenal perfections and the ability to see this. Yes.
- 56:50Speaker 1: And you saw that beauty in the first instance. Yes.
- 56:53Speaker 1: And you knew that if you were faithful, you would
- 56:54Speaker 1: enjoy these things. Yes. And you knew if you weren't
- 56:57Speaker 1: faithful that you would suffer this and this. Yeah. And
- 57:00Speaker 1: you're suffering this now. Yes. And you do it again. Yes.
- 57:05Speaker 2: Most gear looks good until you actually start using it.
- 57:09Speaker 2: Then you find out pretty quickly what holds up and
- 57:12Speaker 2: what doesn't. That's why I keep coming back to Roka.
- 57:17Speaker 2: These aren't just lifestyle sunglasses pretending to be performance gear.
- 57:21Speaker 2: I've worn mine training, on the range, traveling, and outdoors
- 57:25Speaker 2: for long days, and they stay locked in place the

- 58:35Speaker 1: SRS. Did God know that was going to happen? Did
- 58:41Speaker 1: God know the fall would happen? Yes.
- 58:44Speaker 2: Because he's outside of time. Why did he allow the fall?
- 58:47Speaker 2: Is the fall ultimately the test of the human being?
- 58:53Speaker 1: Well, we are all tested. Because they're the ones that
- 58:55Speaker 1: influence our mind, correct? Let me ask you this. Would
- 59:00Speaker 1: you want to be around someone who you forced to
- 59:02Speaker 1: love you? No. No, you want someone who wants to
- 59:06Speaker 1: love you and chooses it on their own. It's the
- 59:08Speaker 1: same with God. God created us with free will. And
- 59:13Speaker 1: in order to have that free will, he allows us,
- 59:16Speaker 1: a certain percentage of people, to fall, both human beings
- 59:20Speaker 1: and angels, to fall and reject with him for the
- 59:23Speaker 1: greater good, which is those who are faithful, who voluntarily
- 59:28Speaker 1: chose to love him. How did they gain access to
- 59:34Speaker 1: our mind? Okay, so the basic way it works is
- 59:40Speaker 1: their very nature is designed, their wills are structured in
- 59:43Speaker 1: such a way that they can move matter by their nature.
- 59:47Speaker 1: And so that means that they can move things within
- 59:49Speaker 1: us because part of our brain, our intellect is material.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Not all of it, but part of it is actually material.
- 59:59Speaker 1: The brain, basically. And so they can actually act upon
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: it Let's go back to human sacrifice a little bit.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: I mean, spent a couple of days here. We talked
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: about my past experiences. We've done some serious work here
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: and I've realized that the battle is in your mind
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: for your soul. That's right. And I mean, Christ himself
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: was human sacrifice. That's right.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: And so if the battle is within your mind and
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: demons have access to your mind and angels have access
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: to your mind.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: Suicide is a human sacrifice. Abortion's a human sacrifice. Going
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: to war is human sacrifice. All these, I mean, all these,
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: everything seems to come down to human sacrifice. That's right.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Why is the human sacrifice so important? What does it represent?
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: Why is it happening?
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Thomas Aquinas makes an observation, which is right along what
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: you were saying. He said, the ultimate thing that God
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: wants from every intelligent creature, so this would include angels
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: and men, he said the ultimate thing that he wants
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: from every intelligent creature is the sacrifice of his will,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: that is ours, to his will, to God's will. And
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: the reason being has to do with this. So I'll
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: explain the theological structure of it, and then I'm going
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: to talk about a case I had that all revolved
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: specifically around sacrifice. So... the uh in every sacrifice there's
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: three components we learned god taught us what sacrifice was
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: in the old testament so in the with the jews
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: he said this is exactly how you're supposed to do
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: it so in relationship to god sacrifice which we offer
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: to him has to follow a very distinctive structure because
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: if any one of these elements are missing it's not
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: a true sacrifice and so he said this is exactly
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: how you're supposed to do it christ himself also said
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: you um when he's uh did the Holy Sacrifice of
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: the Mass on Monday, Thursday. He said, do this in
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: commemoration of me. So he's being very specific about how
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: they're supposed to do it. And that's because if we don't,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: human beings are stupid, and we're going to mess it up.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: So the first component of a sacrifice is offertory. basically
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: what the offertory is, it's a setting apart of what
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: I'm offering to God apart from me. I'm apart from
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: profane or sacred or profane use. And that has two components.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: The first is there has to be some good that
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: I have that I'm willing to be separated from. This
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: was the line of demarcation between the sacrifice of Abel
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: and the sacrifice of Cain. Abel gave the best that
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: he had. And so he retained everything. nothing for himself
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: in that process. Whereas Cain kept the best for himself
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: and gave God a sacrifice of something that was good,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: but not his best. And as a result of that,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: the second part of it is, so you have to
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: be willing to be separated from the particular good, and
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: you have to be willing to give it to God.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: In that very process, you are actually achieving the greater good, okay?
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: That is a key element of sacrifice. that in us
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: being willing to be separated from the lesser good and
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: giving it to God, a greater good is accomplished. And
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: just in that process itself, we become better as human
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: beings just in that offering of it to him. And so,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: but there has to be that perfect willing to detach
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: from that lesser good in order to for the greater good.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: So let me give you an example. The guy who
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: goes off to war, the lesser good ironically is his
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: own life. the greatest he's willing to offer his life
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: for what? For our good, the common good of the country.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: And in that process, the greater good that he achieves
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: in that, the excellence that he achieves in that is
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: perfection and justice. And as a result of that, he
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: gets honor. So that honor is one of the greatest
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: things that human beings can achieve. It's better to die
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: in honor than to die in dishonor, for example. And
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: so he has to be willing to give up his
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: own life for the sake of achieving the greater good.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: So that offertory component is really key. So you have
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: to be willing to give the lesser good in order
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: to achieve the greater good. That's the first element. The
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: second thing is there is the slaying of the victim.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: So if you look at Christ, let's back up in Christ,
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: his offertory was not my will but thine be done.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: So he did it at the Mount Olives. He was
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: willing to offer up his own life for the sake
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: of the greater good was our salvation. And so he
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: was willing to offer that up. And so that's why
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: he told God, not my will, but thine be done. Okay,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: so that's the offertory. Then there's the slaying of the victim.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: So in Christ's case, that's the passion and death of
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: our Lord. And then the last part of it is
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: the consummation. You actually, the victim has to be completely
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: consumed in the process, because if it's not, then there's
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: still something we're retaining for ourselves. So the person has
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: to be willing to completely die to themselves entirely. And
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: how do we know that Christ did that? Well, he
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: himself even said it right before he died, consummatum est,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: it is consummated. What did that actually mean? It meant that,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Isaiah talks about this, St. Paul also talks about it,
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: that the Messiah had to go through a series of
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: sufferings in order to merit for us what was necessary
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: for the perfection in all aspects of our lives. And
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: so he was, for example, the reason he wore the
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: crown of thorns is in order to undo Adam's sin
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: in relationship to eating the fruit when he should not have.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: And then God gave him the punishment of you have
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: to work in thorns and in pain. So Christ's suffering
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: was to undo all of that. Okay. So the sacrifice
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: then basically means that in the end, the reason God
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: wants sacrifice from all of us is because he wants
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: for us to achieve the greater good. and not be
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: satisfied with the lesser good. That's a call to the
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: greater good. That being said, so I had this case
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: where it kept revolving around Our Lady under the title
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: of Mirror of Justice. Now, the reason that the Mirror
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: of Justice, the reason that was so key and the
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: reason it had a correlation to sacrifice is because of
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: the fact that Under the virtue of justice is the
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: virtue of religion. So justice is where I render someone
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: their due. So if I say, hey, go mow my lawn,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: I'll pay you 50 bucks. If you mow the lawn,
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: and justice, I have to give you 50 bucks. Okay.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Underneath that is the virtue of religion where we render
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: God his due. Okay, what did God do for us?
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: He creates us, he keeps us in being. Everything that
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: we do, can do, all of that, he caused. And
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: so literally there is nothing in us to which we
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: don't owe back to him. So ultimately we have to
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: render ourselves in perfection before him. That's our goal. Okay.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: So that being the case, then in relationship to justice,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: underneath justice is the virtue of religion. Underneath the virtue
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: of religion are four acts. But one of those acts
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: is to offer sacrifice to God because that sacrifice is
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: doing what? giving the best that we have. So as
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: I mentioned, we have to render back to him everything,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: what is perfect. Well, what do we do? In order
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: to show that as a sign, we render back to
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: him the best in us, the thing that we love
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: the most, we have to give back to him, okay?
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: And so that's what he's ultimately looking for. Now, by
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: the way, it doesn't mean that in that process, when
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: we give it to him, that he doesn't reward us
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: or that he doesn't take care of the thing that
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: we offer to him, et cetera. It just means that
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: that's what he wants us to give it to him, okay?
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: In this case, so anytime this demon would manifest when
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: I was saying mass, because we'd start the sessions with
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: a mass, anytime the demon would manifest, it's because God
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: had told him he had to tell me something. So
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: during this mass, Beelzebub is the title, which is another
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: name for Satan. He manifests during mass. So I finished mass.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: So then we start the sessions. As soon as Beelzebub manifested,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: I said to him, he told me, He told you
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: you had to tell me something, didn't he? He was
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: so angry that he could not even look at me.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: He was so angry. So then I said to him,
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: shut up. You are not permitted to talk. Now there's
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: a reason I did that. One is because I don't
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: want him telling me based upon when he thinks it's time.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: He has to realize I'm the guy in charge. And
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: a lot of that is just to maintain the authority
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: structure because they're constantly trying to get into the driver's seat.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: The second thing is, it's normal spiritual warfare. This is
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: a stout adversary. And so just as we would in
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: normal warfare, you would just bomb them for a while
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: first to soften up the situation. Then you'd send in
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: the ground troops. He's the same way. If you try
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: and ask him the question right off the bat, he's
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: going to hold tight and you're not going to get anywhere.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: So you don't want to send the troops in first.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: You want to bomb him first. So what I did
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: is I basically punished him for 45 minutes. And at
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: the end of that 45 minutes, I said to him,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: I said, you have something you have to tell me?
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: And he said, he told me, I have to tell
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: you my nature. Now, what that means is, we already
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: knew what his assigned task was. It was to enlighten
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: both Our Lady and our minds, Lucifer's original assigned task.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: The reason he was called Lucifer is because that comes
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: from the Latin words, luc feri, which means to bear light.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: His job was to enlighten our minds, to get us
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: to see the necessity and the good in offering sacrifice.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: That was his original assigned task. And so when he
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: told me, he said, he told me I have to
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: tell you my nature. I said, let's hear it. Now,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: when they chose to reject their assigned task, you have
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: to remember that's who they are. And that meant that
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: in their choice, it was a perfect act of self-hatred.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: and they refused to do that function that God had
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: told them to do. So what they chose then is
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: the opposite of that assigned task. And so what he
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: does is to thwart sacrifice, but this is where it
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: becomes key. He just looks at me deadpan, which is
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: an indicator he's probably telling the truth. And then as
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: we started unpacking it later, theologically realized this is probably true.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: Because some people will say, well, demons lie all the time,
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: but not always. Sometimes they're compelled to tell the truth.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: And he said, I convince people. So this is part
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: of the cherubim. He's part of the cherubim, which is
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: an intellectual function. He says, I convince people. So in us,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: it's an intellectual conviction that he puts in our minds.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: I convince people that they cannot be separated from the
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: particular good. Okay. And so I stood back and I said,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: that's a whopper. Because he knew, I knew the structure
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: of sacrifice. Remember, in offertory, you have to be willing
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: to be separated from a particular good in order to
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: give it to God. And that means when he convinces people,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: I can't be separated from this thing. That's how he
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: subverts the remainder part of the sacrifice where we're willing
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: to die to ourself all the way to the end.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: And so he knew that. So I realized that's how
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: he ended sacrifice. And then he just looks at me
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: and says, it's how I took Adam and Eve out.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: That's how I'm taking your church out. It's how I
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: took your government out. He said, it's at the root
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: of every sin and every defect that every human being has.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: And later he said, it's the cause of mediocrity in
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: every single human being, which is absolutely true. Because in virtue,
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: when we're striving for virtue, which is the greater good
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: to perfect ourselves in some particular aspect, which is the
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: greater good, we have to be willing to be separated
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: from certain things. Just take temperance. If I want to
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: gain temperance to master the virtue of fasting, for example,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: I have to be willing to put aside the lesser
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: good of the pleasure I get out of food in
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: order to achieve this greater good. Makes sense. When do
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: they gain access to our minds?
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: We talk about the innocence of children and the pure
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: love that they can give us. And then at some
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: point in time, everybody loses it.
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: That's right. It's ultimately when God allows it. So in
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: the spiritual warfare, there's kind of a misunderstanding. People have
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: this idea that demons get you just to maraud and
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: do whatever they want. When St. Peter said, be sober
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: and watchful for the lion goes around seeking someone to devour,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: it doesn't mean he gets to hammer anybody he wants.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: It means he's constantly watching us. That's the going around.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: He's constantly watching to see where the weaknesses are and
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: where he could take us out. And then he might
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: test or probe. And if God lets him go in,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: then he goes in. But it means that the spiritual warfare,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: the entire battlefield is completely controlled by Christ. So even
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: the demons can't do anything in relationship to us unless
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: Christ gives them permission. So Christ is the one who
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: allows them access at certain points. And the reason he
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: allows us access to us is to test us. Will
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: you sacrifice for me? Is it through flaws in the world,
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: like pornography? Yeah. I mean, kids are seeing pornography at
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: age eight. Yeah. Probably earlier. Yeah, that's it. So he'll
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: use those as means. And then that creates some type
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: of a desire. That's right. A disordered desire for it. Yeah.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Part of it also has to do with the fact
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: that Demons can actually use that to inspire other people
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: to expose other people or kids or something like that
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: to things that are evil. I've actually had a case
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: where the demons would drive people around this woman in
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: order to victimize her. So they can actually, that type
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: of thing can happen, but it's not that common. Usually
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: what they'll do is they'll use other people to introduce
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: bad things into the person's life. And then the person,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: because of fallen human nature, we have a proclivity towards like,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: let's just take pornography, we have a proclivity towards what
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: we call concupiscence, which is a desire for pleasure that's
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: immoderate and disordered. And so if we don't do things,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: and this is where parental formation and virtue and getting
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: them the sacraments and things like that aids the children
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: in being faithful to that so that they can actually
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: combat that particular aspect of our fall or original sin
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: that we kind of inherited as a result of that.
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: then what the demons do is they can play on
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: that disordered inclination that we have and then start just
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: driving it.
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: Do you think that successful exorcisms could be miracles? I mean,
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: and the reason I ask is we talked about the
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: last several weeks of my life and some of the
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: things that I've experienced here that I don't want to
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: go into yet, maybe at another time. But, you know,
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: with what I did experience and how real it was,
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: in the end, no matter how terrifying it was, it
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: only strengthened my faith in Christ and God and the
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: Holy Spirit immensely.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Yeah. Immensely. One of the things that you learn as
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: an exorcist is what Christ said you, you know, he said,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: it's time to the apostles, count yourself as useless instruments.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: When you're as an exorcist, you can pray and pray
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: and pray until the cows come home. But if Christ
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: doesn't step in and actually cause liberation, nothing happens. Demons
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: have actually said to me, he says, you can't make
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: me do anything, which is actually true. As a human being,
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: I can't make any demon do anything. But then my
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: retort to them is, but he can. And so he
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: uses us as instruments to basically afflict the demon, to
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: punish him to a certain point. And then it's at
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: that point that Christ steps in and Christ causes the liberation.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: So one time I was asked in a public venue,
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: how many people have you liberated? And I said, none.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: But I've been in the presence of of liberations where
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: I've done my work as an exorcist, and then Christ
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: is the one who liberates. And so that liberation is
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: both an act of mercy, but also one of the
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: things that people very often don't quite understand about this
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: thing of possession is the worst thing. Actually, possession is
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: not the worst thing. The worst thing is sin, mortal sin,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: specifically where you've committed such a grave sin that you're
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: under the power of the demons from a legal point
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: of view. Whereas possession is not necessarily the worst thing.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: In fact, possession, especially if it kind of protracts for
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: any length of time, it actually, the people become holier
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: through the battle, through the struggle. You know, it's like
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: a guy who goes off to, you know, there's a
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: big difference between a soldier who's never seen combat and
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: one who has. And so this is the, and whereas
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: the guy who's seen the combat, he's much more fashioned,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: much more honed than the guy that maybe went through
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: a lot of good training and could be a good soldier,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: but he just didn't have that opportunity. Well, it's the
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: same thing here. When people go through just the brutal
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: battle and that type of thing, the amount of sacrifice
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: and self-denial and everything that they have to go through
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: and the virtue that they have to achieve in order
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: to conquer this thing is quite admirable. Do angels have
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: access to our mind? They do, God permitting. What does
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: that look like? So the angels can do actually two
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: things in relationship to us. The first is they can
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: put an image in our imagination and even put a
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: perspective on that image, just as the demons can do
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: the same thing. So the demons can not only just
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: put an image in your imagination, because we get these thoughts,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: where did this come from, right? But they can even
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: put a perspective on like, this would be really good, right?
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: And this is why sometimes people will come to me
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: like normal men, normal heterosexual men will come to me
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: and they'll say, I had this. Bizarre experience where I
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: was in this situation and I had this thought of
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: pedophilia and I had this kind of like inclination of
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: the good That's not your that's not your that's not
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: your junk. That's not you Demons can make anything Look
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: appealing one exorcist contacted me recently because he had kind
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: of gone through that type of thing He was working
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: with this one woman who by any stretch of the
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: imagination was not good looking whatsoever. But when she walked
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: in the door during one of the sessions, the demon
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: skewed his perceptions and his relationship to it. And he
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: said he looked at her and he felt this inclination
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: that she's just beautiful. And then he realized intellectually, he
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: was like, that ain't true. And so he just stopped,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: did some prayers, broke it. And then when he looked
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: at her again, he says, ugly as sin, right? So
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: the point being is, is they can get that perspective. perspective,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: the angels can also do the same thing, because perceptions
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: are either incongruity with reality or they're not. For example,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: let's just take transgenderism. People's perceptions about who they are
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: may or may not be, if you're, you know, if
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: you're a normal heterosexual male, you say, hey, I'm a male,
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: and this is, well, then my perceptions are incongruity with reality.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: But if I'm some dude who thinks he's a woman,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: your perceptions aren't incongruity with reality. And so demons are
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: constantly trying to put perspectives on it that either exaggerate
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: or skew or falsify your perception of reality, whereas the
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: good angels can actually do the opposite. They can put
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: perspectives on the imagination so that you get a greater
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: perception of this is the truth of the matter. This
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: is the reality of it. So one of the ways
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: that you'll notice that is you'll get a bit of
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: clarity in a situation. All of a sudden, you'll see
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: a perspective and realize, okay, that's how this is actually done.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: The one thing that angels can do, which demons never do,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: is the angels can then, so there's three parts of
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: our intellect. I'm not going to go into all three,
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: but there's two parts that I want to talk about.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: The first is the brain. That's the image part. And
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: they can put a perspective. They can affect that. But
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: then there's a part of our intellect that's entirely immaterial.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: And the reason we know that, for example, is when
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: we die, then people in heaven, you hear about these
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: with people who actually die and they actually go through
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: a judgment and they might see Christ and that type
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: of thing. Their intellect is functioning independently of their body.
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: So we know there's a part of the intellect that's
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: in part of that. There's also certain operations that we perform,
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: like the ability to self-reflect upon ourselves. That we know
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: that there's a part of our intellect that's purely immaterial,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: that can function independently of matter. This is why animals,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: even apes, don't have that same kind of self-reflection. Even
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: when they see themselves in the mirror, it's kind of
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: a fascination to them, but that's all at the level
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: of the material. But as human beings, we have this.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: But the angels can actually, that immaterial part of us
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: has the ability to make judgments about things, that something's
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: right or true or that type of thing. How do
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: we know that? We can have, I'll give you an example.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: A guy, his wife, when he first gets married, his
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: perspective on her is, she's wonderful, she's lovely, I love her,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: she's such a great wife, she's beautiful, et cetera. And
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: his intellectual judgment is the same as that. But then
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: what can happen is that over the course of the marriage,
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: bad things happen. And so his perspective on her begins
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: to change. And then also does his judgment changes. But
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: he can make a choice to change his judgment about that.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: Like if he starts thinking his wife is really bad
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: and nasty, she may or may not be. He can
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: start making a choice of, you know what? I'm going
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: to start. I'm not going to judge her that she's
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: that bad. I think she's ultimately a woman of goodwill.
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: It's just that I'm suffering a relationship to it. That
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: means I gotta shore up stuff on my part so
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: I can make a judgment or I can make a
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: choice to start looking at her, judging her differently. So
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: that's one of the things. Okay, why is that important?
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: Because angels can strengthen. It's called illumination. They can illuminate
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: the mind, that immaterial part, so that when we make
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: that act of judgment, we see it with much greater
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: clarity and strength and depth. And so they can enlighten
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: our minds. And so you can ask them, you know,
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: give me good images and then help me to see,
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: help me to enlighten my mind in relationship to it.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: The fathers of the church actually say it was the
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: angels who taught the Greeks philosophy, people like Aristotle and Plato.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: And that's why there's such a radical shift in their
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: philosophy from the materialists to Plato and then to Aristotle.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: What rank structure of the angels is putting images and
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: clarity into our mind? Primarily those of the rank of angel,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: the very lowest. The guardian angel? The guardian angels. Archangels?
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: The archangels can at times. They can also do it
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: as well. It depends. There are certain people, according to
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: the fathers of the church, that their stature in life
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: is so important that God intends for their particular life
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: that he actually not only, that he actually will assign
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: angels that are higher in the higher rank, because what
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: rank or what, how high In the hierarchy of angels,
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: your angel is directly proportioned to how important you're supposed
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: to be in human history, they say. But there are
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: certain people that God will actually assign an archangel to
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: guard them, at least while they're fulfilling that role. So
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: people in positions of political power are generally considered that. Priests, bishops,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: that type of thing are given a guardian angel, an archangel,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: in order for relationship to that. If there's a particular
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: function that they're going to play in relationship to us
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: as human beings that's extremely important, they come from the
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: rank of archangels. So Gabriel, Michael, Raphael were considered part
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: of the archangel. Let's take a quick break.
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: I'm excited to introduce to you the newest member of
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: my family.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: We call him Stanley.
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: We got Stanley this past Christmas and pretty quickly my
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: focus became making sure he was safe while still giving
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: him the freedom to actually be a dog. I went
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: looking for the top-rated GPS fence, the number one, and
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: that's how I found Spot On. Stanley wears their Nova collar.
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: With Spot On, I set up a GPS fence for
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: Stanley right on my phone. No physical fence, no leash,
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: I just walk my property line or draw it on
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: the map, and that's the boundary the collar recognizes. I
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: can create multiple fences, save them, and adjust them whenever
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: I need to.
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: So whether we're at home or traveling.
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: Stanley always knows where his boundaries are. Another thing that
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: stood out to me is these collars are designed right
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: here in the USA and assembled in New Hampshire by
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: a team that's been working with high precision GPS technology
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: for years.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: And you can tell.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: A lot of attention went into making this thing reliable.
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: The Nova Collar uses a dual-band GPS system connected to
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: more than 150 satellites, along with an antenna that's over
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: five times larger than typical GPS fence collars. That keeps
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: the boundary accurate, even around trees, terrain, and changing conditions.
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: SpotOn's True Location technology has been independently tested and delivers 99.3% containment.
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: which matters when you're trusting something with your dog's safety.
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: It's incredibly durable, and on top of that, I can
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: check his location in real time, send voice commands directly
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: to the collar, and track his activity through the day.
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: I use Spot On so Stanley gets the freedom to
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: run and explore, and I get the peace of mind
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: knowing he's safe. Let your dog roam with Spot On.
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: Go to spotonfence.com slash SRS and use code SRS for
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: $ 50 off the Nova collar. That's spotonfence.com slash SRS and
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: use code SRS for $ 50 off. All right, Father Ripperger,
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: we got a hot question for you. So I want
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: to understand why is Christianity the only religion in the
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: world that is acceptable to disparage?
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: Well, Satan is the prince of this world, and it's
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: pretty clear, at least it seems to me, but it's
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: pretty clear, I think, to a lot of people that
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: Satan and the demons are gaining much greater ascendancy over
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: the world, and as they influence the world more and more,
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: they will use people and they will use the things
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: of this world in order to go after the one
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: religion that they know is true. I often tell people that,
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: you know, in heaven, the demons actually, because the fact
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: that Christ was going to become incarnate, and they actually
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: watched Christ preach revelation, they know it perfectly. And so
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: as a result of that, and they know that he
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: was the Messiah that was bound to come, that he
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: was going to be the one that was incarnate. So
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: they know, not from faith anymore, because they lost their faith,
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: but they know just by deductive reason that this is
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: the true religion. All other religions have human beings who
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: started them. Whereas Christ, who's God, is the only one
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: who started this religion and they saw it. And so
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: they know the rest of the other religions don't wash.
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: And so you can, you know, as the demons gain
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: greater and greater control of the world and as evil
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: becomes more and more in place, there's two factors that
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: come into play. The first is the demons move people
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: to punish the Christians, which we saw in administrations even
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: in this country, where they were going after the Christians.
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: Look at these people, and you can tell these people
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: were not living good lives and were persecuting the Christians.
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: So the demons will inspire the people to go after
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: the Christians. We also see this in relationship to certain
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: religions attacking the Christians in different countries and that type
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: of thing. So you see that. The other part of
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: the dynamic has to do with the fact that St.
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: Thomas talks about it in a question in the Summa,
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: but there's a structure to how human beings go from
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: pursuing and seeing the good to actually pursuing things that
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: are evil. And it basically, it's a process in which
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: we have natural inclinations to things that are good. And so,
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: for example, he says, he gives the example, a guy
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: recognizes that fornication's immoral, right? So he recognizes that. But
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: then Bessie Sue walks in and she's just gorgeous. And
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: so he ends up falling with Bessie Sue and he
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: keeps saying, Thomas says, he thinks that it's, you know,
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: he kind of gives in like it's okay in this
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: one instance. And then, but he keeps hanging around Bessie Sue.
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: So he keeps falling with her. And eventually he starts
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: thinking that, well, fornication isn't wrong, you know? And then
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: as he keeps fornicating, then what he actually thinks is that, well, no,
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: fornication's actually a good thing. And then what happens next? Well,
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: people who tell me fornication's bad, they're evil people because
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: I know fornication's good. That is the exact progression we
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: actually saw in this country. The greatest generation knew that
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: fornication was immoral, but they started fornicating behind the scenes,
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: and that's where the fornication really started. And how do
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: we know? Because when the hippie generation started the fornication openly,
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: they didn't stop them. Because, hey, well, can't tell them
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: we did that because we did it, right? So it
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: goes from, no, they can't do it, but they fell
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: from time to time, to, okay, now they were openly
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: doing it. Then, by the time you get to the
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: 80s and 90s, you should live with your girlfriend before
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: you get married. which is a good thing, right? Because
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: you should fornicate, find out if it's going to work.
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: And then what's the last thing? Now you have people who,
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: when you say, hey, you need to be chased. The
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: guys need to stop doing this. They get attacked. And
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: so in addition to the demons driving this, now you
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: have people whose lives are so disordered that what they
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: see as good is bad. And what it is actually
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: they see as bad is actually good. And so they see,
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: and this is why we actually see Christ mention this,
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: He says there will come a time when they will
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: actually believe that by eradicating the people who follow him, eradicating,
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: they're actually doing the will of God. I mean, it's interesting.
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: I think all religions have been persecuted at one point
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: or another through time. If you talk bad about Islam,
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: you're a bigot. That's the same with multiple religions.
- 1:30:51Speaker 2: If you talk about Judaism, you'll be ostracized from.
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: Everything. That's right. It is the ultimate no-no. Correct. And
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: I don't understand, I mean, why are Christians.
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: Accepting this? You know, in all the other religions, you
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: see this righteous anger.
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: That's right.
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: You know, if their religion or their people are disparaged.
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: With Christianity, and I'm guilty of it too, we.
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: Let it slide. Why is that? I think we let
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: it slide because... Are we conditioned? Yes, I think that's it.
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: We're conditioned to actually believe that when Christ said, turn
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: the other cheek, that we just let people get away
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: with whatever they want. And that's not actually the case.
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: You basically, when he said he turned the other cheek or,
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: you know, you have to forgive even those who do
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: those bad things and give you, yeah, you have to
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: forgive them. But that doesn't mean that you extend the
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: effects of that forgiveness to them because that might be
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: bad for them, St. Thomas says. And so, for example,
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: he says, you know, you know, you should have charity.
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: You should have love of God and love of neighbor
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: for the sake of God for everybody. But that doesn't
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: mean that I'm gonna necessarily show the effects of that
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: love to somebody because then it would confirm them in
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: their sin and it's actually gonna be bad for them.
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: And so what's happened is, is Christians have gone to
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: excess and just thinking, you know, we just have to
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: let people walk all over us. And that's not what
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: Christ was saying. In fact, we have an obligation to
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: fight for and to protect the glory of Christ himself,
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: Christ the King. We have an obligation to fight for him.
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: And the fact that we actually don't do that is
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: based upon this kind of this effeminate, unwillingness to battle
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: because we think it's, you know, we're just being charitable
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: or we're just being, we're trying to be Christian and
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: be merciful. Look, sometimes being merciful to somebody is actually
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: bad for them. And so we have to, we have,
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: God is going to be merciful when we meet those
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: conditions always. But in relationship to us as human beings,
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: we can't extend the mercy to people if they're doing
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: evil and harm and offending God. I mean, we're, Do
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: you think this is just going to continue to get worse?
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: I do. What can people do?
- 1:33:14Speaker 2: I mean, in your mind or your idea, how do
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: Christians defend their faith? I mean, it's being ripped out
- 1:33:24Speaker 2: of government. This country was found on Christianity. It's being
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: ripped out of schools. Many people are offended if you
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: even bring it up in school. However, you know, all
- 1:33:34Speaker 2: these other ideologies... You know, we're forced to comply with LGBTQ, Islam, Judaism,
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: all of them, all of them. They're all accepted except Christianity.
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: I think there's two things. The first thing is that
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: a lot of Christians don't know their faith well. And
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: so a lot of times they get mopped up and
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: a lot of times they don't fight. Or if they
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: do fight, they fight badly because they don't know what
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: they're doing. They don't know how to disarm these people.
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: I'm thinking of a particular bishop and in his interview
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: with Ben Shapiro, I'm like, man, that was a missed opportunity,
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: because he really could have set the record straight on
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: a few things. So in addition to they have to
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: know what they're talking about and have to know this stuff,
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: they also have to know the other religions to know
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: where they're wrong, but then to be able to see this.
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: And also these other ideologies, they have to know why
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: these things are actually bad. But then the second part
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: of it is they just have to man up. They
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: just basically have to say, okay, look it, There's two
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: things that I think that they'd have to do in
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: relationship to that is they have to be willing to
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: suffer other people's, you know, chaffing at them and et cetera.
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: It reminds me of the allegory of the cave in
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: Plato where the people in the cave see these projections
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: and think that's reality. And that's not even reality. Reality
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: is outside. So the guy tried to drag him outside
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: and they're chaffing with him the whole way they're dragging
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: him outside. And even if they get outside and they
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: see the truth, they want to go back to this, right?
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: It's the same kind of a thing that you see here.
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: They're going to chaff at you. So you just have
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: to stay the course and be willing to tell the truth.
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: The second thing is we have to be willing to
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: wield the ax. And by that, I mean, we have
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: to be willing to clear the deck. We have to
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: start telling people, oh, I'm offended by that. I don't care.
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: I'm more concerned that you know the truth than your
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: emotions are hurt. We have to stop allowing people to
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: follow their emotions. We have to stop following our own
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: emotions in relationship. We have to be willing to follow reason.
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: And it doesn't mean you go around just being obnoxious,
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: but it means that we have to be willing to
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: fight with people. And if they just say, well, I'm offended, well,
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: you know, It's tough. That's just life. That's just reality.
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: If you want to know the truth, you're willing to
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: follow the truth. And the other side of it is
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: the hypocrisy of it all. We have to recognize that
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: when we give into these people, we're giving into their hypocrisy.
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: Because these people say, well, you're offensive to me. What
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: you believe is offensive to me. Well, so is what
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: you believe. is offensive to me and I think it's
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: offensive to God. So we just have to say, okay,
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: well then what we have to do is we have
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: to be willing to fight the truth, fight for the truth,
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: be willing to take the beating for it in order
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: to actually achieve what's, in order to clear the deck.
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: Now there's one reason why I tell people they have
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: to be willing to do this. Have you ever noticed
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: that nobody will talk about something, nobody will say anything
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: until one guy gets up there and says, This is
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: a bunch of bunk, and here's why. He makes it
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: safe for everybody else. Yes. He breaks the ice. I
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: know a couple guys like that. Yeah, yeah. But it
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: breaks the ice, and then from there, it becomes a
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: legitimate topic of discussion, and people can actually start talking
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: about it. But that's what we have to be willing
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: to do. We have to be willing to break the
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: ice or wield the action in relationship to this, because
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: Once the truth gets out there, then it starts dispelling
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: the darkness, and people start seeing it, and people that
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: are normally of good will will start signing off to
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: it and say, yeah, I actually believe that. So, I mean,
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: we actually see this even, you know, just recently, even
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: just politically, you were never allowed to talk or mention
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: Christianity whatsoever, but now once it's started talking about it,
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: now a lot of people are talking about it. So
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: it's that one guy's gotta break the ice, and so
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: people have to be willing to be that one guy.
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: But I tell them, guys, you may or may not
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: be that guy. You have to make sure, A, that
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: you have the virtue to do it, to sustain the beating,
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: and you also have to be the guy that knows
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: what he's talking about. And don't presume you know. You've
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: got to really know. I appreciate that. So if you're
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: willing to find the truth and follow the truth, then
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: you should be willing to defend the truth. That's right.
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: Break the ice, no matter what the consequences. That's right.
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: Personal cost. To go back to one of the points
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: that you have to be willing to be separated from
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: the lesser good in order to pursue the greater good.
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: Guys have to be willing to take the beating, to
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: be separated from the comfort and the adulation of other people.
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: They have to be willing to be separated from that
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: in order to pursue the good, regardless of the personal cost,
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: which is the greater good. Can we communicate with angels? Yes,
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: we can. How would we do that? So, I think
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: before I answer that, let me answer how actual angels
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: communicate with monks themselves. Basically, the way it works is,
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: because they don't have bodies, so we communicate because I
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: think of something, I make a set of sounds, and
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: then you hear the sounds, and then you interpret it
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: based upon that. So it's a physical kind of communication.
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: But because they don't have bodies, that means that their
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: communication is purely intellectual. So it's a kind of a telepathy.
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: And so the way that that works is one angel
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: thinks of the other angel and thinks to himself, I
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: want to communicate with that particular angel. Now, if you
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: remember what I was saying earlier, God infuses the particular
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: things as they're happening in the minds of the angels
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: as they're happening. And so the angel that's infused in
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: the other angel's mind that angel so-and-so wants to communicate
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: with you. Then if his, just like with us, we
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: can either listen to somebody or not. He can, if
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: he moves, he uses his will to turn towards that
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: angel in his mind, then all that angel has to
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: do is start, then he can start communicating what he
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: wants to directly with them. Okay. So that basically means
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: that they can use their mind to communicate with them.
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: That's not any different from the very nature of prayer.
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: In fact, the definition of prayer is lifting the mind
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: and heart to God. So we're actually, we're directing our
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: mind to Him. And then when we do that, and
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: then through our prayer that we communicate with Him what
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: we want, then when we do that, so obviously God
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: knows all our thoughts anyway, but that's how we actually
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: communicate with God is just by directing our thoughts to
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: Him directly and communicating Him with our thoughts. We can
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: do it verbally as well. It's verbally stronger than thought? Yeah,
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: it is in the sense that it's better for us.
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: And so God tends to, it doesn't mean that God
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: doesn't listen to the mental prayers or even if you're
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: talking to the angels. I mean, did you, I'm sorry,
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: did you just say God does not listen to mental prayers? No,
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: he does. He does. He listens to them. But a
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: lot of times the vote, when we vocalize it, it
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: helps our faculties become more focused and it's a stronger
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: prayer as a result. And so that's why. a lot
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: of times. There's also certain kinds of prayers he just
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: wants done vocally anyway. And because he made us as
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: human beings and made us with the ability to communicate
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: in that fashion, he also wants us to do that
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: from time to time. On the other hand, there's also
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: certain kinds of prayer that you want to be entirely mental. Okay.
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: With the angels, then what we do is it's the
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: same kind of a mechanism that they have. It's just
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: that we... Under certain circumstances, they are permitted to communicate
- 1:40:35Speaker 1: directly to us so that we hear their thoughts, but
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: that's extremely rare. But if we direct our thoughts to them,
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: the same mechanism occurs. So if I direct my thoughts, say,
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: to my guardian angel and ask him to do something,
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: in fact, I can tell a story behind that. But
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: if I mentally think of my guardian angel and tell him, hey,
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: I want you to do X, Y, or Z, then
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: It's the same mechanism it was with the angels. That's
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: infused in his mind that I want to talk to him.
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: And then when he turns his mind to me, he
- 1:41:06Speaker 1: hears my thoughts. Otherwise, he can't get access to my thoughts.
- 1:41:11Speaker 1: He can cause things in me, but he can't read them.
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: He can't know what I'm thinking unless either he's causing
- 1:41:19Speaker 1: it or he can kind of decipher it. And he's
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: probably thinking about X like you can with your wife,
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: you know? You can figure out what she's thinking just
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: by how she's reacting. But they actually, they can hear
- 1:41:31Speaker 1: our thoughts in that actual process. So to give an example,
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: I had a case where the woman was possessed. I
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: was in an airport, was just about to get onto
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: the plane. I was in line at the gate and
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: the woman I was working with calls me and she
- 1:41:49Speaker 1: was possessed and she calls me and she says, hey,
- 1:41:52Speaker 1: I'm pinned and I can't move. And so, which they
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: had done to her before, And then she hands the
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: phone to the assistants, because anytime I do a session,
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: there's always lay assistants that are present. And they said, yeah,
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: they took the phone, they said, yeah, we can't budge her,
- 1:42:07Speaker 1: we can't move her. And I'm like, well, I'm standing,
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: I'm literally handing the stewardess or whatever, the gate woman,
- 1:42:12Speaker 1: my boarding pass. So I just said, well, I can't
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: do it now, but my flight's only about an hour,
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: I'll call you in about an hour. And so then
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: I hung up. And then I just mentally said to
- 1:42:23Speaker 1: the guardian angel of my priesthood, go and take that,
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: go and help her. And then I just got onto
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: the plane, an hour flight later, I get off the plane,
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: and then I call her back and I said, are
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: you still pinned? She says, yes, I'm still pinned. So
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: then I just said a couple of binding prayers, boom,
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: the demon let loose for right away, and then she
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: just hangs up on me. And she says, I gotta go.
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: She hangs up. About five minutes later, she calls back
- 1:42:48Speaker 1: and she says, well, the reason I hung up is
- 1:42:50Speaker 1: because I hadn't been to the bathroom in five hours.
- 1:42:53Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, that's fair enough. And then she said,
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: and by the way, did you send the guardian angel
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: of your priesthood to me? And I said, yeah, how
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: did you know? He said, he appeared to me and
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: held my hand during this whole episode. So the fact
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: that I was able to mentally communicate that with my
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: guardian angel is an indicator that they can hear our thoughts.
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: And so we can start, we can ask them. The
- 1:43:15Speaker 1: way that our guardian angels work is their involvement in
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: our lives is based on two things. One, what God
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: tells them to do. Hey, you need to do this, this, this,
- 1:43:24Speaker 1: or this. or I don't want you to protect them
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: under this circumstance because I want them to go through
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: this test or I want them to suffer this for
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: the sake of their soul or whatever the case is.
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: So God communicates that to them. But the primary way
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: that they get involved in our lives is by our
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: asking them. So the more we ask them and the
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: more we invoke their intersection and working in our lives,
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: the more they become involved. And so sometimes people will say, well,
- 1:43:51Speaker 1: my guardian angel doesn't do anything. I'm like, well, how
- 1:43:53Speaker 1: much do you communicate with the guy? So if you
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: communicate with them every single day, then you'll find that
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: they'll be actually more involved in your life. Now, sometimes
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: people will say, well, how do I know my guardian
- 1:44:03Speaker 1: angel is even involved in my life? And it's very simple.
- 1:44:08Speaker 1: Because they love God and they see his divine plan
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: and relationship to us as human beings, they know that
- 1:44:14Speaker 1: God's will is for us to live a normal life
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: where we get to make free choices. That's what God
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: wants for us. And that means that When our guardian
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: angel is active, it means he's protecting us so that
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: there's nothing trying to skew us or block us or
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: do those things that would cause our bad choices. And
- 1:44:35Speaker 1: so we're causing problems or difficulties in our lives. That's
- 1:44:38Speaker 1: how you actually know. So in other words, the more
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: natural our life seems, that's actually an indicator the more
- 1:44:45Speaker 1: the angels are actually involved. Sometimes we'll get indication like, oh, no,
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: that was pretty, my guardian angel had to be protecting
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: me in that particular set of situations. But that's not
- 1:44:55Speaker 1: too common. But whereas, and the way we know that
- 1:44:58Speaker 1: that's how they work is that demons are the opposite.
- 1:45:01Speaker 1: Everything they do is contrary to our nature. It tries
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: to darken our intellect, make it harder for us to
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: make good choices. They mess with everything in our lives.
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: They try and mess everything up rather than just letting
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: us live a normal life.
- 1:45:16Speaker 2: Aging is inevitable. And if you're anything like me, you
- 1:45:20Speaker 2: feel it a little more every year. Sore knees, tight joints,
- 1:45:23Speaker 2: recovery takes longer than it used to. We can't stop
- 1:45:27Speaker 2: the clock, but we can take care of ourselves. That's
- 1:45:31Speaker 2: why I take Bubz Naturals Collagen Peptides. I mix it
- 1:45:34Speaker 2: into my tea every morning. It blends right in. No taste,
- 1:45:39Speaker 2: no gritty texture.
- 1:45:40Speaker 1: It's simple.
- 1:45:41Speaker 2: I've been using Bubz Collagen for a long time, and
- 1:45:44Speaker 2: I genuinely notice the difference.
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: My knees feel better.
- 1:45:47Speaker 2: My skin looks better. I recover faster after workouts. I
- 1:45:51Speaker 2: stick with Bubz because I trust the company. Their collagen
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: is NSF certified for sport and sourced from grass-fed cattle.

- 1:46:41Speaker 1: It's the only one you've got. Do you think most
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: human beings can differentiate the difference between a communication from
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: an angel and a demon? Um, no. And the reason
- 1:46:58Speaker 1: I say that is think there's some things that are
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: pretty overt and sometimes people know okay yeah i think
- 1:47:03Speaker 1: that was my guardian angel i mean i think that
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: there's some on the more uh kind of extreme kind
- 1:47:08Speaker 1: of levels but i think that most people's even understanding
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: of what is good and bad and how and how
- 1:47:13Speaker 1: the angels even communicate with and how the demons are
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: involved in our lives there's so much confusion out there
- 1:47:19Speaker 1: and so little understanding of this thing that people actually
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: believe that, you know, oh, I have these amorous feelings
- 1:47:27Speaker 1: for this person. It must be my guardian angel. No,
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: demons can give you amorous feelings for people. So you
- 1:47:33Speaker 1: have to be careful about that. Whereas the demons are
- 1:47:35Speaker 1: never going to give you inclinations to want to love
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: God more, to be more virtuous and things like that.
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: So there are principles of discernment about how you can
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: kind of sort these things out, but I don't think
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: most people know them.
- 1:47:47Speaker 2: I had a, I think I had a encounter with
- 1:47:53Speaker 2: an angel several years ago that I think that's what
- 1:47:55Speaker 2: honestly led me to Christ.
- 1:47:58Speaker 1: And it is the.
- 1:48:02Speaker 2: Only other time in my life where I really felt
- 1:48:06Speaker 2: that there was a true battle for my soul happening
- 1:48:09Speaker 2: in real time. And it was a very dark part
- 1:48:14Speaker 2: of my life. And I basically come to the, I just,
- 1:48:18Speaker 2: I had this intuitive feeling in my heart that I was,
- 1:48:24Speaker 2: transgenderism was really bothering me at the time and a
- 1:48:27Speaker 2: lot of other things that were going on in the world.
- 1:48:29Speaker 2: And I felt like maybe I was one of the
- 1:48:31Speaker 2: only people speaking out about it. And it was just
- 1:48:35Speaker 2: running rampant through the country. And so I had this internal.
- 1:48:39Speaker 1: Battle in my head happening.
- 1:48:43Speaker 2: And basically it was me convincing myself that maybe I'm
- 1:48:50Speaker 2: wrong here. Maybe I feel like I'm the only one
- 1:48:54Speaker 2: speaking out against it. I feel like maybe I should
- 1:48:59Speaker 2: just surrender.
- 1:49:00Speaker 1: What's the point? Why fight this? Why speak out against it?
- 1:49:04Speaker 1: Why do any of that?
- 1:49:05Speaker 2: Because, everybody's appears to be for the celebrities that I,
- 1:49:11Speaker 2: that I.
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: Respected started speaking out for it.
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: People I never would have expected speaking out about drag
- 1:49:25Speaker 2: shows in front of toddlers, you know, and all these things.
- 1:49:30Speaker 2: And these are people that I never would have expected
- 1:49:31Speaker 2: to do this. And then, and then one week later
- 1:49:34Speaker 2: after they announced that they're all for this, they get.
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: A massive TV show deal. Right. You know, and so
- 1:49:41Speaker 1: I think I know what that is. But at the time,
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: I didn't see that deal. And so I felt like
- 1:49:49Speaker 1: I was surrendering my soul to evil. And I was
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: just like, why even?
- 1:49:55Speaker 2: Who cares? Just give up. And I'd gotten to that
- 1:49:59Speaker 2: point where I was almost there. We had walked into this.
- 1:50:04Speaker 1: My wife and I had walked into this place.
- 1:50:07Speaker 2: We were vacationing in Sedona, Arizona, and there was a,
- 1:50:13Speaker 2: we walked through the gate guards, you know, that there
- 1:50:15Speaker 2: was armed guards there that were arming the property or
- 1:50:17Speaker 2: the guarding the property. And I'd seen, I've been there
- 1:50:20Speaker 2: for a week. I'd seen all these guys. A lot
- 1:50:22Speaker 2: of them watch the show. They'd say, hi, you know,
- 1:50:26Speaker 2: and this was the last night I was there. And
- 1:50:28Speaker 2: I walked through the gate and there's this old, Older
- 1:50:32Speaker 2: gentleman in there. I think he said he was an
- 1:50:34Speaker 2: Air Force Vietnam vet or something. And he started trying
- 1:50:39Speaker 2: to talk to me. I didn't want to talk to him.
- 1:50:41Speaker 2: Like I just told you, I was in a pretty
- 1:50:42Speaker 2: dark place. And my wife stopped to talk to him.
- 1:50:46Speaker 2: I'd never seen this guy. Been there for a week.
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: I pay attention to security because of my background.
- 1:50:53Speaker 1: Had never seen this guy at all, ever. And so
- 1:50:59Speaker 1: I'm kind of posturing like I don't want to talk
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: to him, looking at him over my shoulder.
- 1:51:05Speaker 2: My wife stops. I turn and I square up to him.
- 1:51:11Speaker 2: He immediately read my mind from front to back. And
- 1:51:15Speaker 2: he said, I only really remember the first thing that
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: he said because it scared me that he was inside
- 1:51:24Speaker 2: my head. And he said, you don't need to worry
- 1:51:27Speaker 2: about all this transgenderism going on with the kids and
- 1:51:32Speaker 2: just humans in general.
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: That's not your battle. And then he went on and
- 1:51:37Speaker 1: he started talking about, he said something about China because
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: China was really in my head because that was when
- 1:51:42Speaker 1: the spy balloons traversed the United States from Washington to
- 1:51:46Speaker 1: Florida or South Carolina or wherever. And he started going
- 1:51:49Speaker 1: into that.
- 1:51:50Speaker 2: And I just looked at this guy in the eyes
- 1:51:52Speaker 2: and I was like, How are you inside of my head?
- 1:52:00Speaker 2: And then a whole series of other events happened within
- 1:52:03Speaker 2: minutes right after that. And that's basically what saved my
- 1:52:07Speaker 2: soul and brought me to Christ. And so what I
- 1:52:13Speaker 2: want to ask you, is there a possibility that that
- 1:52:16Speaker 2: was my guardian angel or maybe an archangel?
- 1:52:20Speaker 1: Yes, it can be, actually. Usually when you see those
- 1:52:22Speaker 1: kinds of experiences which are not normally explained, One of
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: the other things that you'll notice is you'll never be
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: able to find that guy again. So that's actually one
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: of the indicators. It's a very similar story to a
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: priest who, the first pastor I was under, he had
- 1:52:39Speaker 1: to go to anoint somebody in a building, and when
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: he got there, this six-foot, big, burly police officer was
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: there and said, you can't go in there, Father. And
- 1:52:49Speaker 1: he just says, well, I have to. I've got to anoint.
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: He says, no, you can't go in. Leave. And so
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: the priest walks around the corner and then says, no,
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: I got to go do it. So he turns back around.
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: That police officer was nowhere to be found. He asked
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: the police department. They'd never had any of that guy
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: on there. But while he had walked around the corner
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: and came back, two people were shot in the building.
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: So that it's the same kind of a thing. They
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: sometimes intervene in such dramatic ways in order to correct
- 1:53:18Speaker 1: our path so that we don't end up going down
- 1:53:20Speaker 1: the wrong path. Why don't they do this more often?
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: Why didn't they do this to the celebrity that I'm
- 1:53:27Speaker 1: talking about? Well, part of it has to do with-
- 1:53:31Speaker 1: Or maybe they did. And maybe they did, yeah. I
- 1:53:33Speaker 1: think some of it is also, it's how much involvement
- 1:53:39Speaker 1: do we want to get them in our lives? I mean,
- 1:53:41Speaker 1: do they, if the guardian angel was appearing to them,
- 1:53:44Speaker 1: would they even listen to him? So it's largely a
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: matter of, as I mentioned, There are certain things that
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: God tells them that guardian angels, what they need to do.
- 1:53:54Speaker 1: But God's will for us is for us to get
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: them involved in our lives. You know, I've also heard that.
- 1:54:07Speaker 2: If you're in the presence of an angel, it's terrifying
- 1:54:11Speaker 2: would be the wrong word, but it is just an
- 1:54:15Speaker 2: overpowering sensation that no human being could fathom. Is there
- 1:54:21Speaker 2: any truth to that?
- 1:54:23Speaker 1: There might be certain experiences of people historically that would
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: account for those kinds of things. But generally speaking, angels
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: aren't that overt, and they tend to be much more
- 1:54:39Speaker 1: subtle in their inner presence. I mean, your guardian angel
- 1:54:41Speaker 1: is watching you all the time to keep watch over you,
- 1:54:45Speaker 1: and from time to time putting those thoughts in your
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: mind and that type of thing to help guide you
- 1:54:49Speaker 1: and that type of thing. So they have a lot
- 1:54:50Speaker 1: of presence to us that's not going to be that dramatic.
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: Do you have any other examples of human beings and
- 1:54:58Speaker 1: encountering angels? I mean, we hear miraculous things with car wrecks,
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: the car's been lifted off a body or it saved them. Yeah,
- 1:55:09Speaker 1: I mean, I've heard those kinds of stories too. Another
- 1:55:10Speaker 1: story that a priest friend of mine had a parishioner
- 1:55:14Speaker 1: who she was very elderly. And so there was a
- 1:55:20Speaker 1: woman who was like 17 who would take her to
- 1:55:23Speaker 1: Mass every day. But the 17-year-old didn't have her driver's license,
- 1:55:27Speaker 1: and the 80-year-old woman did. But she was very elderly,
- 1:55:31Speaker 1: so they went to Mass, and when they came back out,
- 1:55:33Speaker 1: the elderly woman says, I just can't hardly move my arms.
- 1:55:37Speaker 1: We're going to have to pray to St. Raphael to
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: come and to drive the car for us. So the
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: older woman literally said a prayer to St. Raphael. The
- 1:55:47Speaker 1: next thing you know, the car starts up, turns, and
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: then goes all the way to their house, shuts off.
- 1:55:55Speaker 1: There was, I'll admit that when I was younger, I
- 1:55:59Speaker 1: was not the best kind of an individual. So one
- 1:56:02Speaker 1: time I got, I got pretty schnaufered, right? I can
- 1:56:06Speaker 1: see that. So this was long before I got my
- 1:56:11Speaker 1: act together, but I got pretty schnockered. I was at
- 1:56:15Speaker 1: this friend of mine's house, which lived about 20 miles
- 1:56:17Speaker 1: from where my parents lived. And, I mean, I was
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: on the verge of blacking out. Got in my truck,
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: started driving home. I mean, all I remember is getting
- 1:56:30Speaker 1: in the truck and telling him, no, I'm going to
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: be all right. I start driving away. The next thing
- 1:56:35Speaker 1: I remember is pulling into my house, my parents' house.
- 1:56:39Speaker 1: I'm convinced that was my guardian angel, because there's no way.
- 1:56:42Speaker 1: I mean, I literally blacked out for that whole distance. Wow. Yeah.
- 1:56:48Speaker 1: So they do, I mean, to tell you, you know,
- 1:56:53Speaker 1: those of us who are trying to be good have
- 1:56:54Speaker 1: had bad pasts sometimes too, but you just have to
- 1:56:56Speaker 1: make sure that you're trying to do everything you can
- 1:56:58Speaker 1: to get the angels, your guardian angels especially, but all
- 1:57:02Speaker 1: the angels too, involved in your life. And there's not
- 1:57:04Speaker 1: just our own personal guardian angels. There's guardian angels of families. towns, countries, churches,
- 1:57:12Speaker 1: those types of things. And so corporations of a certain size,
- 1:57:16Speaker 1: there's just, God created a number of angels. And so
- 1:57:19Speaker 1: you can also pray to the guardian angels of your children. Hey,
- 1:57:23Speaker 1: make sure that Johnny, clue Johnny in to do this, that,
- 1:57:26Speaker 1: and everything. And that empowers them to actually be able
- 1:57:28Speaker 1: to go and do that more frequently.
- 1:57:29Speaker 2: I mean, actually, I have another example that just popped
- 1:57:33Speaker 2: in my head. I mean, several years ago, over a
- 1:57:36Speaker 2: decade ago, I had a suicide attempt. And same thing.
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: I was hammered, blacked out. Don't remember how I got home.
- 1:57:46Speaker 2: And reclined my, I don't remember doing this, I reclined
- 1:57:49Speaker 2: my seat in my garage with the car running. And
- 1:57:58Speaker 2: when I woke up in the morning, I woke up
- 1:58:00Speaker 2: in my room, my entire, I lived in a townhome.
- 1:58:04Speaker 2: And my entire townhome smelled like gasoline.
- 1:58:09Speaker 1: Or some type of fuel.
- 1:58:12Speaker 2: Woke up, ran downstairs, saw my pistol on the couch,
- 1:58:17Speaker 2: a pistol that I never, I don't carry every day.
- 1:58:21Speaker 2: So I think maybe there was two attempts or I
- 1:58:26Speaker 2: was thinking about doing it twice. because I would have
- 1:58:29Speaker 2: never accessed that pistol. Especially at three or four o'clock
- 1:58:34Speaker 2: in the morning when I've just tied on on. I
- 1:58:37Speaker 2: go out to my garage and the door handle was
- 1:58:42Speaker 2: like a little bit, like the door was a little
- 1:58:45Speaker 2: hot to the touch and I thought, holy shit, there's
- 1:58:49Speaker 2: a fire in there or something.
- 1:58:50Speaker 1: And I.
- 1:58:53Speaker 2: Opened the door, but before I opened the door, made
- 1:58:59Speaker 2: the decision that if I open the door, I'm probably
- 1:59:01Speaker 2: gonna get blown to smithereens because all the fresh oxygen's
- 1:59:04Speaker 2: gonna rush in and blow me away. So I made
- 1:59:07Speaker 2: that three times, I think I made the decision to die,
- 1:59:13Speaker 2: to kill myself. I went in the garage and I
- 1:59:16Speaker 2: saw my Audi with the seat reclined back and the
- 1:59:23Speaker 2: car was still running and it was, so hot in
- 1:59:28Speaker 2: there that the gas tank melted. And the gas tank
- 1:59:33Speaker 2: was leaking, it was a slow drip, but it was
- 1:59:36Speaker 2: dripping fire out of the gas tank onto the exhaust muffler.
- 1:59:42Speaker 1: Whoa.
- 1:59:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:59:46Speaker 1: I shouldn't be here. Yeah.
- 1:59:48Speaker 2: And that's just one example. Do you think that was
- 1:59:51Speaker 2: a guardian angel? Was that God that intervened?
- 1:59:53Speaker 1: Yeah. A lot of times they'll actually do that. So... Yeah,
- 1:59:59Speaker 1: they'll do it. Speaking of cars, I had an experience
- 2:00:03Speaker 1: once while I was driving. I was driving my truck
- 2:00:05Speaker 1: to go out to the seminary to teach a course,
- 2:00:09Speaker 1: and there was a car here and one here, and
- 2:00:12Speaker 1: then I was behind it. And an ambulance comes on
- 2:00:16Speaker 1: the other side, so this car right in the front
- 2:00:18Speaker 1: just locks up the brakes and stops right in the middle.
- 2:00:20Speaker 1: It's like a 40-mile-an-hour zone, just stops right in the middle.
- 2:00:23Speaker 1: So the guy in front of him just manages to
- 2:00:26Speaker 1: stop before it's getting, but by the time I hit
- 2:00:28Speaker 1: the brakes, I'm looking at the back of this guy's
- 2:00:32Speaker 1: thing like, I am just gonna plow into the back
- 2:00:34Speaker 1: of this guy's truck, right? And so, and I had
- 2:00:37Speaker 1: my hands on there. It was not me. Literally, all
- 2:00:40Speaker 1: of a sudden, the wheel just goes, I go right
- 2:00:43Speaker 1: between these posts, go right between the posts, and then
- 2:00:49Speaker 1: I literally, the wheel just goes, It goes right between
- 2:00:52Speaker 1: the posts, back down, around those two, and right back
- 2:00:55Speaker 1: up onto the road, and I'm driving. I'm like, yeah, okay.
- 2:01:00Speaker 1: I need hazardous duty pay. But the point being is
- 2:01:03Speaker 1: that I think that was my guardian angel. Wow. I mean,
- 2:01:07Speaker 1: even in more examples. I mean, I've stepped on unexploded HE, high-explosive.
- 2:01:13Speaker 2: Ordnance in Afghanistan that stepped on it. I took a
- 2:01:19Speaker 2: picture of it, because I was like, holy shit, I
- 2:01:21Speaker 2: should be dead. I just stepped on UXO, H-E-D-P round.
- 2:01:27Speaker 1: And it didn't blow.
- 2:01:29Speaker 2: And there's an example, my friend Eddie Penny, I mean,
- 2:01:31Speaker 2: he had a intuitive thought injected into his brain on
- 2:01:35Speaker 2: a target in Afghanistan. Something told him, I can't remember
- 2:01:40Speaker 2: the exact story, but something told him, don't go over there.
- 2:01:43Speaker 1: Two seconds later, the entire building is leveled. Yeah, yeah, exactly, yeah.
- 2:01:48Speaker 1: In fact, that's part of the fact that they can
- 2:01:52Speaker 1: put that kind of stuff into our imaginations. A lot
- 2:01:55Speaker 1: of times we can talk about the fact that they
- 2:01:57Speaker 1: actually can protect us spiritually, or protect us physically from
- 2:02:03Speaker 1: these particular things that happen to us. They can also
- 2:02:06Speaker 1: protect us spiritually by putting in our minds, you know,
- 2:02:10Speaker 1: you really probably should avoid that particular person. I'm not
- 2:02:13Speaker 1: suggesting that people should just be following their emotions and
- 2:02:16Speaker 1: things like that, but the angels can actually protect us spiritually,
- 2:02:21Speaker 1: you know, even sometimes from ourselves, protect us from the
- 2:02:23Speaker 1: wrong kinds of people. The other thing that I find
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: fascinating about the angels, which is something which I actually
- 2:02:30Speaker 1: use from time to time, is this is based upon
- 2:02:36Speaker 1: the inversion of souls. Tell the inversion of it and
- 2:02:38Speaker 1: then talk about why we know that the angels do it.
- 2:02:40Speaker 1: So demons can actually do this same mechanism, which is
- 2:02:44Speaker 1: because they can affect our imagination, The demons can actually
- 2:02:49Speaker 1: block people by affecting their imagination from focusing on things
- 2:02:54Speaker 1: that you would normally think that they would focus on.
- 2:02:57Speaker 1: This is how, like in our government, you can have
- 2:03:00Speaker 1: people who are engaging in bad behavior for decades, or
- 2:03:03Speaker 1: even years, but just for decades, and nobody even pays
- 2:03:07Speaker 1: hardly any attention to it. Like, why didn't anybody notice that?
- 2:03:10Speaker 1: And that's because the demons can actually affect that. They
- 2:03:13Speaker 1: said Hitler, he had this phenomenal ability to, at the
- 2:03:20Speaker 1: very last second, shift and change his schedule and just say, okay,
- 2:03:28Speaker 1: I'm not gonna, you know, we're gonna go over here.
- 2:03:30Speaker 1: All of a sudden, boom, they would change it. There
- 2:03:32Speaker 1: was actually a president here in the United States in
- 2:03:35Speaker 1: recent past that had the same phenomenon, that he would
- 2:03:37Speaker 1: just all of a sudden change his schedule out of
- 2:03:41Speaker 1: the blue. And then they would find out there was
- 2:03:43Speaker 1: an attempt on his life that was gonna occur. So
- 2:03:47Speaker 1: the demons can actually influence people that way too, but
- 2:03:50Speaker 1: they can also block our ability to focus on stuff that,
- 2:03:54Speaker 1: you know, why hasn't anybody talked about this particular kind
- 2:03:57Speaker 1: of fraud in the government when it was this rampant,
- 2:04:00Speaker 1: you know, that type of thing. And so they can
- 2:04:04Speaker 1: actually do that. Well, the same kind of mechanism, so
- 2:04:07Speaker 1: they can keep people hidden. And so the same kind
- 2:04:10Speaker 1: of mechanism the actual angels can do. So one of
- 2:04:13Speaker 1: the things I often recommend to people who are really
- 2:04:15Speaker 1: trying to really forge the good and do a lot
- 2:04:18Speaker 1: of good in the culture and that type of thing
- 2:04:20Speaker 1: is ask either Our Lady to send her angels down,
- 2:04:24Speaker 1: but ask your guardian angel or the angels to keep
- 2:04:27Speaker 1: you hidden from the wrong kinds of people. And it
- 2:04:31Speaker 1: has a phenomenally good effect. And it'll keep, so what'll
- 2:04:35Speaker 1: happen is the type, and it's even a mechanism I teach,
- 2:04:39Speaker 1: sometimes I'll teach people who run major corporations. And they'll
- 2:04:43Speaker 1: complain to me, like, we just keep getting the wrong
- 2:04:44Speaker 1: kinds of people in. You know, they just keep coming
- 2:04:47Speaker 1: in and they cause all this damage. I said, well,
- 2:04:49Speaker 1: ask the gangles to keep your corporation hidden from them.
- 2:04:52Speaker 1: But at the same time, ask them to keep it
- 2:04:54Speaker 1: known to the people that need to know. So they
- 2:04:56Speaker 1: can actually affect other people to where they don't, you know, decide,
- 2:05:00Speaker 1: you know, I'm going to go work for Sean and
- 2:05:02Speaker 1: then they come in and cause you all this damage.
- 2:05:03Speaker 1: You can actually keep those kinds of people away. Or
- 2:05:07Speaker 1: the types of people that, you know, that could cause
- 2:05:10Speaker 1: you harm or whatever the case is, just ask Our
- 2:05:13Speaker 1: Lady keep me hidden from them. I do it in
- 2:05:14Speaker 1: relationship to certain people just to keep me hidden so
- 2:05:17Speaker 1: that I don't have this, and it's been, Our Lady's
- 2:05:20Speaker 1: been very good to that, but the angels are the
- 2:05:23Speaker 1: ones that kind of execute that process.

- 2:06:52Speaker 2: we have any idea what their realm looks like? I mean,
- 2:06:56Speaker 2: they seem, the majority, I mean, almost all the time
- 2:07:01Speaker 2: invisible to us.
- 2:07:02Speaker 1: Yeah. You know, so.
- 2:07:05Speaker 2: Do we have any idea of what their realm, what
- 2:07:07Speaker 2: their perspective of this realm looks like? And how do
- 2:07:14Speaker 2: they transfer realms? Are they in another dimension that coincides
- 2:07:20Speaker 2: with this dimension? I mean, if you're driving down the
- 2:07:22Speaker 2: road and your car goes off and an invisible thing
- 2:07:25Speaker 2: throws your car back.
- 2:07:26Speaker 1: On the road, are they... Well, a dimension... Transferring from
- 2:07:32Speaker 1: one dimension to the other in a split second? I mean,
- 2:07:35Speaker 1: what is it? Yeah, that's actually a good question. They're
- 2:07:38Speaker 1: not in another dimension because a dimension is a physical
- 2:07:41Speaker 1: thing and they're not physical. They don't have bodies. They
- 2:07:44Speaker 1: can actually move physical things just with their minds. So
- 2:07:47Speaker 1: it's a form of telekinesis type of thing, but they
- 2:07:50Speaker 1: can have it. And so, in fact, it's actually, there's
- 2:07:53Speaker 1: a lot of theological speculation by certain theologians throughout history
- 2:07:57Speaker 1: that originally Adam and Eve had the power of telekinesis.
- 2:07:59Speaker 1: and then God restricted it to our bodies. Because when
- 2:08:02Speaker 1: we make a choice, I can make a choice to
- 2:08:04Speaker 1: think about something different. And that means that I'm using
- 2:08:07Speaker 1: my will, which is an immaterial thing to move my body, right?
- 2:08:10Speaker 1: So we do have some ability to do that. And
- 2:08:13Speaker 1: they also think that the saints have that capacity as well.
- 2:08:20Speaker 1: to do that God permitting. Okay, so all that being said,
- 2:08:23Speaker 1: but basically what it means is that because they don't
- 2:08:27Speaker 1: have any bodies, but in their minds, they see all
- 2:08:30Speaker 1: the stuff that's actually going on. Now their experience of seeing,
- 2:08:33Speaker 1: see for us, physical things have a much stronger impression
- 2:08:38Speaker 1: on us because that's the way God just kind of
- 2:08:40Speaker 1: designed us. Whereas with the angels, when they think of
- 2:08:44Speaker 1: a concept, it's far more intense of an experience than
- 2:08:48Speaker 1: we get even of a physical thing. And so they
- 2:08:50Speaker 1: see those things with great clarity. And then their wills,
- 2:08:53Speaker 1: they can actually move. Then if they want to affect
- 2:08:57Speaker 1: us in some way and God permits it, just by
- 2:09:00Speaker 1: their wills, they can actually move it. It's like a
- 2:09:02Speaker 1: form of telekinesis, but they can just move it, God permitting,
- 2:09:05Speaker 1: so they can apply their will to actually move those
- 2:09:07Speaker 1: particular things. Can they see our demons? Yes. They see
- 2:09:12Speaker 1: everything that is going on in the spiritual world. Can
- 2:09:15Speaker 1: the demons see them? Yes, they can. do they communicate?
- 2:09:22Speaker 1: Not usually. Although once in a while, they will. And
- 2:09:26Speaker 1: it's usually a one-way form of communication where the angels
- 2:09:31Speaker 1: are telling the demons, knock it off, you can't do this,
- 2:09:33Speaker 1: you can't do that. Because even if the other angels,
- 2:09:35Speaker 1: the lower angels know there's no point trying to communicate
- 2:09:38Speaker 1: with them because they're not going to listen because they're
- 2:09:40Speaker 1: following the will of God. The only time that that
- 2:09:43Speaker 1: seems to be different is in cases that protract of
- 2:09:48Speaker 1: possession There's six stages of liberation, and stage six is
- 2:09:54Speaker 1: actual liberation. Stage five is called the ascendancy phase, and
- 2:09:58Speaker 1: there's a part of that phase, it's in four parts,
- 2:10:01Speaker 1: and there's a part of that phase called the saints phase.
- 2:10:05Speaker 1: And basically, sorry, there's the saints phase so that sometimes
- 2:10:10Speaker 1: the saints will actually show up. I don't see them,
- 2:10:12Speaker 1: but the person who's possessed sees the saints, et cetera.
- 2:10:14Speaker 1: But then there's another part called the bargaining phase, And
- 2:10:18Speaker 1: basically that's just before the saints phase. And the bargaining
- 2:10:22Speaker 1: phase is the demons know they're losing. They've lost. And
- 2:10:27Speaker 1: so from time to time, the person who's possessed will
- 2:10:31Speaker 1: actually see the interchange. And so it's very similar to
- 2:10:37Speaker 1: the kind of like the interchange that Pope Leo saw
- 2:10:42Speaker 1: of Satan approaching God and asking him, give me a
- 2:10:44Speaker 1: hundred years, right? So it's a bargaining kind of a thing.
- 2:10:47Speaker 1: So the demon will actually approach Christ because they know
- 2:10:54Speaker 1: he's the guy that's got all the power. He said it,
- 2:10:57Speaker 1: all power on heaven and earth is given to me.
- 2:10:59Speaker 1: So they know he's the guy. They can't do anything
- 2:11:01Speaker 1: without asking him. So they'll actually go to him and ask,
- 2:11:04Speaker 1: give me this power. Give me this permission to do X, Y,
- 2:11:07Speaker 1: and Z. And he most always says no, but the
- 2:11:10Speaker 1: person who's possessed will see that interchange. So that's about
- 2:11:13Speaker 1: the only time that I've recognized that they'll communicate with,
- 2:11:17Speaker 1: you know, either the saints or Christ or whatever the
- 2:11:19Speaker 1: case is. That's when that communication goes that direction. But otherwise,
- 2:11:22Speaker 1: it's just a one-way communication. Oh, good. You know, I've
- 2:11:27Speaker 1: never really realized the power of prayer until in the
- 2:11:34Speaker 1: last couple weeks when I did another episode on this,
- 2:11:38Speaker 1: but we've been talking about it all week, my last
- 2:11:40Speaker 1: psychedelic experience.
- 2:11:41Speaker 2: And I said some of your deliverance prayers and had
- 2:11:47Speaker 2: intuitive experiences of demons leaving my body. And some of
- 2:11:52Speaker 2: the things we experienced yesterday here were extremely profound. What
- 2:12:05Speaker 2: is the power of the rosary?
- 2:12:10Speaker 1: Well, historically, Saint Padre Pio used to refer to it
- 2:12:13Speaker 1: as the weapon, especially in spiritual warfare. But it was basically,
- 2:12:18Speaker 1: the rosary was a sacramental that was given to a
- 2:12:20Speaker 1: particular saint in order so that those who would pray
- 2:12:25Speaker 1: the rosary that specific structure of prayer that God wanted
- 2:12:29Speaker 1: people to start saying, it was given by a lady
- 2:12:31Speaker 1: to a particular saint, was given to them as a
- 2:12:34Speaker 1: way of, if you continually say this, then it's going
- 2:12:38Speaker 1: to bring about the intention for which you're gonna say
- 2:12:41Speaker 1: the rosary. For example, the Battle of Lepanto. So the
- 2:12:46Speaker 1: church there, they're basically, the Christians, the Catholics are outnumbered
- 2:12:52Speaker 1: significantly in Lepanto. And so at a certain point, Pius
- 2:12:58Speaker 1: V orders that all the Christians start preparing the rosary
- 2:13:01Speaker 1: for the intention of the Christians to conquer the Turks.
- 2:13:06Speaker 1: And you have to remember, it was like 10 or
- 2:13:08Speaker 1: 20 to one, kind of outnumber kind of a situation.
- 2:13:13Speaker 1: So they literally, a large part of Christendom, and even
- 2:13:16Speaker 1: the people, the soldiers at Lepanto started saying the rosary,
- 2:13:19Speaker 1: asking Our Lady to invoke, or invoking her, you know,
- 2:13:25Speaker 1: intercession to conquer the Turks, they just destroyed the Turks
- 2:13:29Speaker 1: in the process. So the point being is that the
- 2:13:33Speaker 1: rosary is one of those particular things that a number
- 2:13:36Speaker 1: of the saints have said, for example, if there's a
- 2:13:37Speaker 1: particular vice you're trying to overcome in your life, start
- 2:13:40Speaker 1: saying the rosary every day for that intention and pretty
- 2:13:42Speaker 1: quick it'll go away. And so it's one of those
- 2:13:46Speaker 1: sacramentals that was given to the church which has a
- 2:13:49Speaker 1: pretty profound impact. So when you say the rosary, should
- 2:13:53Speaker 1: there always be an intention behind it? Yeah, you want
- 2:13:55Speaker 1: to offer it up for some intention. For example, given
- 2:13:59Speaker 1: your state in life, you can offer it up for
- 2:14:01Speaker 1: the spiritual well-being of your wife, your children, or whatever,
- 2:14:03Speaker 1: for your protection. Or if there's particular problems you're dealing
- 2:14:06Speaker 1: with in your corporation or whatever the case is you
- 2:14:09Speaker 1: can pray for, already need to start ameliorating those for
- 2:14:12Speaker 1: the rosary for that intention.
- 2:14:14Speaker 2: What are some other tools, prayers, tools that people can
- 2:14:19Speaker 2: use for spiritual warfare. I mean, we talked about at
- 2:14:25Speaker 2: the beginning of this, you know, we had brought up.
- 2:14:26Speaker 1: The UFO disclosure alien narrative and the possibility that the
- 2:14:34Speaker 1: US government is trying to disprove the Bible and steal
- 2:14:40Speaker 1: faith from people and destroy Christianity. What are We talked
- 2:14:46Speaker 1: a lot about the battle in your mind and for
- 2:14:48Speaker 1: your soul. I mean, what are things that people can
- 2:14:50Speaker 1: do outside of voting? As some friends of mine always say,
- 2:14:57Speaker 1: which we've kind of seen even in this last election
- 2:14:59Speaker 1: and the elections going forward is, you know, because I mean,
- 2:15:02Speaker 1: I think people should vote. But this idea that you're
- 2:15:04Speaker 1: going to solve the problem by voting. So their phrase
- 2:15:06Speaker 1: is we just have to vote harder. Right. Well, that's
- 2:15:09Speaker 1: just not going to ultimately change because this is a
- 2:15:11Speaker 1: spiritual battle. The main thing for people to remember, at
- 2:15:14Speaker 1: least in relation, so there's different categories of things that
- 2:15:16Speaker 1: people can actually make use of, but the primary thing
- 2:15:18Speaker 1: is prayer. And Christ actually laid out, he said it
- 2:15:23Speaker 1: in such a way to explicate a very specific kind
- 2:15:27Speaker 1: of principle or a mechanics of how the spiritual life
- 2:15:31Speaker 1: actually works. So he says, knock and it will be opened.
- 2:15:34Speaker 1: So there's two things. You have to do something if
- 2:15:37Speaker 1: you want the door open. He's not normally just going to,
- 2:15:39Speaker 1: I mean, once in a while he might open the door,
- 2:15:41Speaker 1: but Eventually, you've got to open up. You've got to
- 2:15:43Speaker 1: do your part for the door to actually open. So
- 2:15:47Speaker 1: the first is knocking the door will be opened, asking
- 2:15:51Speaker 1: you shall receive. So there's two. One, you've got to
- 2:15:55Speaker 1: do something. But the second thing is what you ask
- 2:15:57Speaker 1: for is what you're going to get. So that principle,
- 2:16:02Speaker 1: the mechanics of God is sitting there listening all the
- 2:16:06Speaker 1: time to everything that you're doing, everything you're saying, because
- 2:16:09Speaker 1: he sees it. And so he's listening. And I've actually
- 2:16:14Speaker 1: had that experience even in session where mentally I just
- 2:16:18Speaker 1: said to God, the Father punish this demon in a
- 2:16:20Speaker 1: way that you've never punished someone before. And he just, boom,
- 2:16:24Speaker 1: it's just as immediate. So you know that he's sitting
- 2:16:27Speaker 1: there listening. But what you ask for is what you're
- 2:16:31Speaker 1: going to get. And the principle is that prayer begets
- 2:16:34Speaker 1: what it signifies. That's part of the spiritual mechanics. That
- 2:16:37Speaker 1: means in the spiritual warfare, what you ask for is
- 2:16:41Speaker 1: what you're gonna get. And so an example in relationship
- 2:16:44Speaker 1: to the UFO situation, there's a book called The Alien
- 2:16:48Speaker 1: Delusion by Gates. And in that book, it's a bit dated,
- 2:16:52Speaker 1: but there's some key things in there which still even
- 2:16:54Speaker 1: apply even today. And there's actually, you can go online
- 2:16:57Speaker 1: and actually research this, and there's historical situations where people
- 2:17:02Speaker 1: have been being abducted by aliens And then they'll cry
- 2:17:06Speaker 1: out Jesus's name. You know, Jesus help me. That's the
- 2:17:10Speaker 1: prayer that they're crying out. And then all of a sudden, boom,
- 2:17:14Speaker 1: the aliens completely disappear, right? And so that's an indicator
- 2:17:20Speaker 1: that what they prayed for, they got. Christ helped them.
- 2:17:23Speaker 1: It's the same thing in the spiritual warfare. So if
- 2:17:26Speaker 1: you ask your guardian angel, hey, you know, if you,
- 2:17:29Speaker 1: you know, communicate with him and say, hey, look, I
- 2:17:30Speaker 1: need you to protect me, protect my children. That's what
- 2:17:32Speaker 1: he's gonna do. If you ask Christ, or also even
- 2:17:36Speaker 1: Our Lady, but if you ask Christ, you know, hey,
- 2:17:38Speaker 1: you know, protect my children or protect me, or there's
- 2:17:42Speaker 1: this particular problem, which I think is a spiritual issue,
- 2:17:44Speaker 1: can you bind any of the demons that are involved
- 2:17:47Speaker 1: in that? Then, you know, can you please just bind
- 2:17:50Speaker 1: them from being able to do anything in relationship to that?
- 2:17:53Speaker 1: So I actually put out a book called Deliverance Prayers
- 2:17:56Speaker 1: for the Lady, which people shouldn't feel restricted to that
- 2:17:59Speaker 1: book because a lot of times just asking Christ directly, hey,
- 2:18:03Speaker 1: this is what I need. That's what he's waiting for.
- 2:18:05Speaker 1: And then he'll give it to you. So, and then
- 2:18:07Speaker 1: that's true about spiritual warfare. It's also true about just
- 2:18:10Speaker 1: advancing in your own spiritual life and trying to become holier.
- 2:18:12Speaker 1: But the book Deliverance Prayers for the Laity has some
- 2:18:15Speaker 1: examples of, hey, this is how binding prayers work. This
- 2:18:18Speaker 1: is how, if you consecrate things to Our Lady or
- 2:18:21Speaker 1: to Our Lord, then as a result of that, they'll
- 2:18:23Speaker 1: start protecting them and things of that sort. So that
- 2:18:25Speaker 1: kind of gives an example of the things that they
- 2:18:26Speaker 1: can actually do. The main thing that people have to do, though,
- 2:18:29Speaker 1: is they have to understand how evil works. And when
- 2:18:32Speaker 1: they see the evil in their life, They have to
- 2:18:34Speaker 1: go and ask Christ for the specific things. So, for example,
- 2:18:39Speaker 1: if you have a child who's like, I think I'm
- 2:18:41Speaker 1: gay or I think I'm this, you have to start
- 2:18:44Speaker 1: asking Christ, you know, A, give him the grace to
- 2:18:47Speaker 1: see that that's not what the situation is, or give
- 2:18:50Speaker 1: him the grace to, you know, not want to be
- 2:18:52Speaker 1: transgender or whatever the case, but also Christ block any
- 2:18:55Speaker 1: demons that could be causing those kinds of thoughts in
- 2:18:57Speaker 1: this kid's mind. If they start asking for the very
- 2:19:01Speaker 1: specific things, that's when they're going to see the most
- 2:19:04Speaker 1: effect because what you ask for is what you're going
- 2:19:06Speaker 1: to get. So do we talk to our angels or
- 2:19:11Speaker 1: do we communicate? Do we talk to them or do
- 2:19:14Speaker 1: we pray to them? Yeah, you can talk to them
- 2:19:16Speaker 1: because they can see it in their mind when we're
- 2:19:20Speaker 1: talking verbally, but they can also, if we direct our
- 2:19:23Speaker 1: thoughts to them, they can hear our thoughts.
- 2:19:25Speaker 2: So we can pray to Christ first God, the Holy Spirit,
- 2:19:31Speaker 2: Virgin Mary, we talk to angels.
- 2:19:35Speaker 1: Yeah. How do we differentiate who we pray to?
- 2:19:38Speaker 2: Why wouldn't we just always pray to God if he
- 2:19:41Speaker 2: is the highest?
- 2:19:43Speaker 1: Well, it kind of has to do with this. Let
- 2:19:45Speaker 1: me ask you this question. Let's say for the sake
- 2:19:48Speaker 1: of argument, there was somebody who wasn't even, you didn't
- 2:19:51Speaker 1: even know and was outside your corporation, but they really
- 2:19:54Speaker 1: wanted for you to do a particular thing for them.
- 2:19:58Speaker 1: Would you be more likely to listen or grant it
- 2:20:00Speaker 1: if they just came up to you and said, hey, Sean,
- 2:20:02Speaker 1: would you do X? Or would they do it if
- 2:20:04Speaker 1: your favorite employee or one of your, like your wife,
- 2:20:08Speaker 1: they went to your wife and your wife says, you know,
- 2:20:10Speaker 1: I think that's good. I'll ask Sean and see what
- 2:20:12Speaker 1: he thinks. When are you more likely to give it? Direct. Well, okay,
- 2:20:16Speaker 1: that's because you are what? You're manly about the situation. Okay.
- 2:20:21Speaker 1: But most people would do what? But if your wife asks,
- 2:20:27Speaker 1: you're like, now the reason that you're not, you wouldn't
- 2:20:29Speaker 1: do it is because the reason you like to direct
- 2:20:31Speaker 1: is because you don't want people being obsequious going around
- 2:20:34Speaker 1: and trying to do that type of thing. But with God,
- 2:20:37Speaker 1: the way it kind of works is that, yeah, he'll
- 2:20:40Speaker 1: listen to us. So the direct stuff does work. And
- 2:20:42Speaker 1: so I'm not telling people they shouldn't do that. But
- 2:20:45Speaker 1: on the other hand, he set up certain saints and
- 2:20:50Speaker 1: even our angels, he sent them up. so that he
- 2:20:54Speaker 1: wants them, us to go to them, because then they
- 2:20:58Speaker 1: can go to him and ask him, and because he
- 2:21:00Speaker 1: likes them more, he's more likely to give it. That's
- 2:21:06Speaker 1: how basic intercession works. By the way, a lot of
- 2:21:09Speaker 1: Protestants will say, well, the saints can't pray for us.
- 2:21:13Speaker 1: We believe, even the Protestants believe in intercessory prayer. It's
- 2:21:16Speaker 1: just who can do it is the question, because they
- 2:21:18Speaker 1: pray for other people too, so they're interceding for other people.
- 2:21:23Speaker 1: And so the question is, can the saints do it? Well,
- 2:21:25Speaker 1: there's nothing in scriptures that says that they can't. Let's
- 2:21:33Speaker 1: talk a little bit more about the spiritual battle. Is
- 2:21:38Speaker 1: the battle happening right now between angels and demons, or
- 2:21:42Speaker 1: is this something that's coming? So they don't fight each
- 2:21:45Speaker 1: other direct. Well, they do kind of fight each other directly,
- 2:21:47Speaker 1: but it's, so then after their fall, there was a
- 2:21:52Speaker 1: short kind of period of time in which they still had,
- 2:21:56Speaker 1: they were still in the presence of each other. The
- 2:21:59Speaker 1: ones who had fallen and the ones who were faithful
- 2:22:01Speaker 1: and the ones who had the beatific vision, the ones
- 2:22:02Speaker 1: who were damped were in the presence of each other.
- 2:22:05Speaker 1: At a certain point, St. Michael, who's the guardian angel
- 2:22:09Speaker 1: of the elect, that's his assigned task, he's the guardian
- 2:22:12Speaker 1: angel of the elect, God gave him the power and
- 2:22:15Speaker 1: told him, separate them and go. so that they can't
- 2:22:20Speaker 1: be engaging in this battle with each other anymore. And
- 2:22:23Speaker 1: so that's, and we know about that separation because it's
- 2:22:27Speaker 1: right in scripture where the Lazarus, the guy that's damned says, hey,
- 2:22:35Speaker 1: can you send Lazarus down to tell my brothers? And
- 2:22:39Speaker 1: he says, well, first of all, we can't cross the abyss, right?
- 2:22:43Speaker 1: There's this separation. And the only time it's ever allowed
- 2:22:46Speaker 1: to go across that is God has to allow it. Okay.
- 2:22:50Speaker 1: So we know that that's actually happened. So there's this,
- 2:22:53Speaker 1: this kind of this, this actual abyss. That means that
- 2:22:58Speaker 1: in the spiritual warfare, the angels and the saints aren't
- 2:23:00Speaker 1: necessarily battling each other. And the reason being is because
- 2:23:03Speaker 1: there's this thing called pralation. Pralation is the ability of
- 2:23:07Speaker 1: one thing who's higher, a pralate, is able to command
- 2:23:11Speaker 1: a lower one to do something. All of the angels
- 2:23:13Speaker 1: in heaven and all the saints in heaven have prelation
- 2:23:16Speaker 1: in relationship to the demons. So all they have to
- 2:23:18Speaker 1: do is command them, leave, and they, boom, it has
- 2:23:21Speaker 1: an immediate effect. So they don't sit there and battle
- 2:23:23Speaker 1: back and forth. It has this immediate effect. That means
- 2:23:27Speaker 1: that the battle now is primarily in us, in this world,
- 2:23:31Speaker 1: in our minds, primarily in our bodies, where that's where
- 2:23:34Speaker 1: the primary field of the battle is that's actually occurring,
- 2:23:38Speaker 1: the primary theater, as they would say. And so... And
- 2:23:43Speaker 1: basically what it is is that that means that there's
- 2:23:46Speaker 1: two components to the spiritual warfare. One, we have to
- 2:23:49Speaker 1: get our guardian angels and the saints and God more
- 2:23:52Speaker 1: involved in our lives so that they drive them out.
- 2:23:55Speaker 1: So there's that. But then also we can combat them
- 2:23:59Speaker 1: to leave as well. And so we can actually command
- 2:24:04Speaker 1: the demons, you know, because Christ gave us the example, Satan,
- 2:24:06Speaker 1: get behind me, right? So we can tell the demons,
- 2:24:10Speaker 1: get away from me. And Because we have rights over
- 2:24:14Speaker 1: our body, they have to respect the natural law in
- 2:24:17Speaker 1: relationship to us. And so if we're persistent, they'll leave.
- 2:24:23Speaker 1: Do angels kill? I read somewhere that a single angel
- 2:24:28Speaker 1: killed 180,000 in one day. Yes, in the sense of
- 2:24:35Speaker 1: there has been some history. My understanding is that's part
- 2:24:39Speaker 1: of the mechanism in the Old Testament. They can, but
- 2:24:44Speaker 1: they only do it when God tells them to do it.
- 2:24:49Speaker 1: And it's the same kind of a thing in which
- 2:24:50Speaker 1: you saw in the Old Testament, God telling the Jews
- 2:24:54Speaker 1: in the Old Testament, hey, you gotta wipe out this
- 2:24:56Speaker 1: whole group of people. And the reason being is because
- 2:24:59Speaker 1: even the children, and to us, that's just pretty jarring.
- 2:25:03Speaker 1: But the part of the reason for that is because
- 2:25:06Speaker 1: you have to wipe out the adults because they're doing
- 2:25:08Speaker 1: the evil and they're gonna cause evil and you're gonna
- 2:25:10Speaker 1: get sucked into the evil. The problem is that the
- 2:25:14Speaker 1: demons that are afflicting the parents also start affecting the
- 2:25:16Speaker 1: kids and get attached to the kids. And so even
- 2:25:18Speaker 1: if you let the kids leave, you're gonna have a
- 2:25:20Speaker 1: problem with it later. And so that's why it was
- 2:25:22Speaker 1: done in the Old Testament. And I'm not suggesting that
- 2:25:25Speaker 1: we do that as a form of warfare today. It's
- 2:25:27Speaker 1: a different kind of a dynamic, but that's actually why.
- 2:25:30Speaker 1: But so in the past, the angels could kill entire
- 2:25:34Speaker 1: segments of population, God permitting. You brought up Michael. several times.
- 2:25:42Speaker 1: What about Gabriel? So Gabriel's assigned function was to announce
- 2:25:48Speaker 1: the coming of Christ, to actually the incarnation. So that
- 2:25:52Speaker 1: was his one assigned task. And so that's why he
- 2:25:55Speaker 1: actually appears to Our Lady to announce this is what the, actually,
- 2:26:01Speaker 1: that's what he was actually created for. Outside that context,
- 2:26:04Speaker 1: so each Not each angel, but a lot of the
- 2:26:06Speaker 1: angels have a primary assigned task for which they were given.
- 2:26:10Speaker 1: And then they have a secondary task that's usually connected
- 2:26:12Speaker 1: to that. And so the other thing that Gabriel actually
- 2:26:15Speaker 1: can do too is to encourage us and to get
- 2:26:18Speaker 1: us to be more devoted to Christ. What about Raphael?
- 2:26:24Speaker 1: So in the Old Testament, of course, he's the one
- 2:26:25Speaker 1: that heals. So you can invoke him for people who
- 2:26:30Speaker 1: might have cancer or whatever the case is, ask for
- 2:26:33Speaker 1: him to actually heal you. Are there any other significance? Well,
- 2:26:38Speaker 1: one other thing in relationship to Raphael, also Raphael sequestered,
- 2:26:43Speaker 1: he's one of the nemeses of Asmodeus, who's the demon
- 2:26:46Speaker 1: of homosexuality and men. He's also a demon of impurity.
- 2:26:50Speaker 1: But in the Old Testament, he sequesters him in the desert.
- 2:26:54Speaker 1: And so you can ask St. Raphael if you're dealing
- 2:26:56Speaker 1: with that particular demon, but you can ask St. Raphael
- 2:26:59Speaker 1: to be the one to help you in that regard.
- 2:27:06Speaker 1: What does the final battle look like? Basically, okay, so
- 2:27:14Speaker 1: the structure of it is the human beings' morals will
- 2:27:20Speaker 1: implode so badly that, and there'll be wars and ruins
- 2:27:24Speaker 1: of wars and all this other stuff to such a
- 2:27:26Speaker 1: degree that at that point the Antichrist shows up and
- 2:27:30Speaker 1: presents himself as the solution to human beings' problems. And
- 2:27:35Speaker 1: he gains significant control over the human population. But there's a...
- 2:27:40Speaker 1: part of it that he actually doesn't. When he shows
- 2:27:43Speaker 1: up on the scene, then there's kind of stages that
- 2:27:46Speaker 1: actually start to happen. There's still battling that's kind of
- 2:27:48Speaker 1: going on on a spiritual level. But then Enoch and
- 2:27:51Speaker 1: Elijah show up. They're put to death by the Antichrist.
- 2:27:55Speaker 1: Then at a certain point, St. Michael shows up, but
- 2:27:57Speaker 1: he doesn't actually He battles with the Antichrist, but he
- 2:28:01Speaker 1: doesn't actually put the Antichrist to death. And in the end,
- 2:28:04Speaker 1: Christ is the one who shows up and puts the
- 2:28:06Speaker 1: Antichrist to death. Will Gabriel come back to announce the
- 2:28:10Speaker 1: second coming? Not directly, is my understanding. And when it's over,
- 2:28:18Speaker 1: when we go to heaven or hell, are there levels
- 2:28:22Speaker 1: to each? There is. What do those look like? So
- 2:28:26Speaker 1: in hell, the level that you have in hell, which
- 2:28:28Speaker 1: is inverted over what is it in heaven, the lower
- 2:28:30Speaker 1: you are in hell, which basically means the more is
- 2:28:32Speaker 1: based upon how depraved you are, how evil you actually are.
- 2:28:36Speaker 1: But that evil then also gives you more power in
- 2:28:39Speaker 1: relationship to the other people in hell. So that's why
- 2:28:42Speaker 1: even Satanists are doing a lot of evil things in
- 2:28:45Speaker 1: order to raise their place in hell. And technically speaking,
- 2:28:48Speaker 1: they're lowering it. So there is based upon how evil,
- 2:28:53Speaker 1: whereas in heaven, It's how good you are, which basically
- 2:28:55Speaker 1: means the more approximate or the more you're like God,
- 2:28:59Speaker 1: the better you actually are as a human being, as
- 2:29:01Speaker 1: a person, as an angel, the more holy you are,
- 2:29:03Speaker 1: then that means that you'll have that place up in heaven.
- 2:29:06Speaker 1: So there's different levels in heaven. What are the levels? So, well,
- 2:29:12Speaker 1: the levels are actually based upon primarily the sanctifying grace
- 2:29:16Speaker 1: that's in your soul. St. Paul refers to In his letters,
- 2:29:21Speaker 1: he refers to the fact that sanctifying grace is basically
- 2:29:24Speaker 1: God indwelling in us, in our souls. It's a qualitative change.
- 2:29:29Speaker 1: So how much we have him indwelling in us determines
- 2:29:32Speaker 1: where we're at in heaven. Some of that is broken
- 2:29:35Speaker 1: down into the nine choirs of angels, so we're kind
- 2:29:37Speaker 1: of in that. But there's also like different parts of heaven,
- 2:29:41Speaker 1: so they call them parts. But it basically just means
- 2:29:44Speaker 1: that there are certain people that will enjoy certain things
- 2:29:46Speaker 1: more than others based upon the kinds of virtues that
- 2:29:48Speaker 1: they achieved in this life or the good actions that
- 2:29:51Speaker 1: they did in this life. They'll just find certain things
- 2:29:53Speaker 1: more enjoyable in heaven. All of us will have the
- 2:29:56Speaker 1: beatific vision that is to see God face to face.
- 2:30:00Speaker 1: And basically what that is, when you actually look at the...
- 2:30:07Speaker 1: how the saints talk about the structure of this beatific vision. St.
- 2:30:11Speaker 1: Paul talks about, I will see him face to face
- 2:30:14Speaker 1: and I will know myself as I am known. So
- 2:30:16Speaker 1: you actually see God inside God's mind. You actually see him.
- 2:30:22Speaker 1: And so the way that works is in order for
- 2:30:25Speaker 1: that to happen, there can't be any medium between us
- 2:30:28Speaker 1: and him. And so what he does is he takes him,
- 2:30:31Speaker 1: he infuses in our minds, for us, because we can't
- 2:30:34Speaker 1: see him right now, even though he's here. So what
- 2:30:37Speaker 1: God does is he infuses us another, what they call
- 2:30:40Speaker 1: the light of glory. He infuses in us, he strengthens
- 2:30:43Speaker 1: our mind so that all of a sudden everything can
- 2:30:46Speaker 1: just peel back and we're able to see spiritual realities
- 2:30:49Speaker 1: in what they actually are. And then, but that illumined
- 2:30:52Speaker 1: gloria basically means that he infuses that in our mind.
- 2:30:56Speaker 1: And at the same time, he presses his very nature
- 2:31:00Speaker 1: on our minds. So we see him literally face to face.
- 2:31:03Speaker 1: We see him. That means that once you see him,
- 2:31:07Speaker 1: you can see everything he causes, everything that he's done,
- 2:31:10Speaker 1: all the glory in the created order, all that, you're
- 2:31:13Speaker 1: able to see it. We can't comprehend it all at once,
- 2:31:17Speaker 1: but we can kind of look at it from different features.
- 2:31:18Speaker 1: And so that's what heaven is like. It's like spending
- 2:31:21Speaker 1: all our time looking at this from a variety of
- 2:31:23Speaker 1: different points of view. The holier you are, the more
- 2:31:26Speaker 1: illumined glory you get. And that means the more you
- 2:31:29Speaker 1: understand God and the better you see His glory and
- 2:31:33Speaker 1: His goodness. And as a result of that, the happier
- 2:31:35Speaker 1: you actually are. So how happy you are is how
- 2:31:37Speaker 1: whole you are and how good of a life that
- 2:31:40Speaker 1: you led in this life. So if we both die
- 2:31:44Speaker 1: today and go to heaven and we're at different levels,
- 2:31:48Speaker 1: will we be able to interact? Yeah, all those people
- 2:31:51Speaker 1: in heaven have perfectly interaction. And so let's just say
- 2:31:55Speaker 1: you get a higher place in heaven. So it's a
- 2:31:56Speaker 1: state of mind. A level of heaven is a state
- 2:31:58Speaker 1: of mind, kind of. Kind of. Yeah, it's a state
- 2:32:02Speaker 1: in the sense of- It's not a different location. Exactly, exactly.
- 2:32:06Speaker 1: So it just means that, like say you're higher in heaven,
- 2:32:08Speaker 1: it just means you understand more and you have a
- 2:32:10Speaker 1: higher degree of happiness than I have. I'm still perfectly happy,
- 2:32:14Speaker 1: but there can be degrees of perfection. And so the
- 2:32:17Speaker 1: people in heaven have done, and there's no envy. When
- 2:32:19Speaker 1: I see you enjoying the beatific vision, let's just say
- 2:32:22Speaker 1: for the sake of argument that you'd have a higher,
- 2:32:25Speaker 1: I'll actually see how good that is and how God,
- 2:32:28Speaker 1: and I'll take delight in seeing the fact that you
- 2:32:30Speaker 1: have a higher place than I do. So there's no envy,
- 2:32:33Speaker 1: there's no nothing. Do you think we will interact with
- 2:32:38Speaker 1: relatives here on earth after we pass? Yes, we actually do.
- 2:32:44Speaker 1: I mean, it depends. So if our relatives actually make
- 2:32:48Speaker 1: it to heaven, then there is some interaction. I'll give
- 2:32:51Speaker 1: you a couple of examples that I've had just recently.
- 2:32:54Speaker 1: My father died about three years ago. In fact, next week,
- 2:32:57Speaker 1: it'll be three years next week. And I was very,
- 2:33:01Speaker 1: had a very strong, good relationship with my father. And
- 2:33:06Speaker 1: in fact, he's the guy that just taught me, hey, look,
- 2:33:08Speaker 1: real men don't do this or that, you know, that
- 2:33:10Speaker 1: type of thing. But anyways, so when he passed, because
- 2:33:15Speaker 1: I worked as a mechanic with him twice, I've come
- 2:33:19Speaker 1: across a mechanical thing that I couldn't solve. So I
- 2:33:23Speaker 1: literally just said, hey, Dan, how do I solve this problem? instantaneously,
- 2:33:30Speaker 1: all of a sudden, boom, I get this clarity and
- 2:33:33Speaker 1: see all you have to do is put the wrench
- 2:33:35Speaker 1: on this direction. Literally like, even though I had been
- 2:33:38Speaker 1: working trying to fork this thing out for 45 minutes, boom,
- 2:33:41Speaker 1: the thing came right off. I've had two experiences of
- 2:33:44Speaker 1: that with my father. So I think there is an
- 2:33:46Speaker 1: actual interaction. There's also numerous people who talk about, like
- 2:33:51Speaker 1: I know one exorcist whose mother was a very holy woman.
- 2:33:56Speaker 1: And during his sessions, he'll actually call his mother down
- 2:33:59Speaker 1: and say, come down and be present to this. And
- 2:34:01Speaker 1: the person who's possessed can see the mother. So we
- 2:34:06Speaker 1: do have interaction with them. It's just, it's a one-way
- 2:34:09Speaker 1: kind of a communication. We can communicate with them. They
- 2:34:11Speaker 1: can do certain things with us. There are very, very
- 2:34:15Speaker 1: rare circumstances where they appear to people, but I've never
- 2:34:18Speaker 1: seen an authentic case in my life. I've just read
- 2:34:21Speaker 1: about them. Do we see our direct lineage when we die? Yeah.
- 2:34:28Speaker 1: Isn't everybody our lineage, though, if we all came from
- 2:34:30Speaker 1: Adam and Eve? That's right. We'll know it all. We'll
- 2:34:33Speaker 1: see it. We'll see what? We'll actually see the entire lineage,
- 2:34:38Speaker 1: both up and down the actual line. Did Christ have
- 2:34:48Speaker 1: a guardian angel? So that is a question which St.
- 2:34:52Speaker 1: Thomas Aquinas asks, and then after him, it was pretty
- 2:34:55Speaker 1: much the general belief of the theologians and saints after that.
- 2:35:00Speaker 1: And basically, we have a guardian angel because we're in
- 2:35:05Speaker 1: the process of trying to save our souls and get
- 2:35:07Speaker 1: to heaven, right? And so they guard us so that
- 2:35:10Speaker 1: we can actually get there. So that state, the process
- 2:35:16Speaker 1: of getting there, Historically, the saints from the patristics on
- 2:35:20Speaker 1: called that the wayfarer state or wayfarers. We're on the
- 2:35:23Speaker 1: process of, we're on the way to getting there. So
- 2:35:26Speaker 1: the difference though is, is that Christ, even though he
- 2:35:28Speaker 1: was alive in this life, he had the bigotific vision
- 2:35:31Speaker 1: from the time of his conception, according to the entire
- 2:35:34Speaker 1: tradition of the church. And that's one of the reasons
- 2:35:37Speaker 1: why we know that he had this because of the
- 2:35:39Speaker 1: fact that he would, you know, he would actually talk
- 2:35:43Speaker 1: about I and the Father are ones who could actually
- 2:35:45Speaker 1: see it. But he would also say things like, There
- 2:35:48Speaker 1: you would see in Scripture Christ knew their thoughts because
- 2:35:51Speaker 1: he could see it His human mind could see it
- 2:35:55Speaker 1: in his in his in his divine nature. He could
- 2:35:58Speaker 1: see because God was causing them So he could actually
- 2:36:02Speaker 1: see those things. So that's one of them. So we
- 2:36:04Speaker 1: know that he had the actual and beatific vision That
- 2:36:09Speaker 1: means that he's not a wayfarer. He's already his human
- 2:36:12Speaker 1: nature was already already in union with God, which is
- 2:36:16Speaker 1: the final goal. And so he wasn't on the way,
- 2:36:19Speaker 1: he was already at the end. And so St. Thomas
- 2:36:21Speaker 1: says he didn't actually have a guardian angel. It didn't
- 2:36:25Speaker 1: mean that there weren't guardian angels who assisted him at times.
- 2:36:28Speaker 1: It didn't also mean that he wouldn't necessarily, in his
- 2:36:31Speaker 1: divine nature, command certain angels to kind of keep certain
- 2:36:34Speaker 1: things at bay so that he could do certain things.
- 2:36:36Speaker 1: So for example, you'd read in the scriptures how the
- 2:36:39Speaker 1: Jews would try and lay hold of him. He would
- 2:36:41Speaker 1: just walk right through them, right? the angels can kind
- 2:36:44Speaker 1: of block them from being able to do that. So
- 2:36:47Speaker 1: the Jews from seizing them. So there was, so his,
- 2:36:50Speaker 1: and he had, he actually mentions this to Nicodemus. He says,
- 2:36:53Speaker 1: you know, you're going to see the angels ascending and
- 2:36:57Speaker 1: descending upon the son of man, because all of the
- 2:37:00Speaker 1: angels in heaven knew who Christ was. And they knew
- 2:37:02Speaker 1: that he also being God was who to whom they
- 2:37:06Speaker 1: must serve. And that's also when he said, all power
- 2:37:10Speaker 1: in heaven and earth will be given to me. So
- 2:37:11Speaker 1: even the angels in heaven, obey him and submit to him,
- 2:37:14Speaker 1: so they serve him. And so we know that, so
- 2:37:19Speaker 1: he didn't have a guardian angel, but they all served him. Interesting.
- 2:37:30Speaker 1: Last question. What is divine mercy? So mercy is defined
- 2:37:38Speaker 1: as loosening the bonds of justice for the good of
- 2:37:41Speaker 1: the individual. So in other words, somebody's done something bad. Now,
- 2:37:47Speaker 1: justice normally being served would indicate that the person should
- 2:37:51Speaker 1: have to suffer a proportionate evil in relationship to it.
- 2:37:55Speaker 1: It's called the Lex Taliani, so the law of the talents,
- 2:37:58Speaker 1: which is actually in the Old Testament. So an eye
- 2:38:03Speaker 1: for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. So the
- 2:38:05Speaker 1: punishment has to fit the crime, and it has to
- 2:38:06Speaker 1: be proportionate. But a lot of times, that's not good
- 2:38:11Speaker 1: for people. And especially with us as human beings, when
- 2:38:14Speaker 1: we're stupid and we realize, oh, man, I did something
- 2:38:16Speaker 1: really bad. If we suffered the effects of all of
- 2:38:18Speaker 1: our sins all the time, we would just be brutalized
- 2:38:21Speaker 1: from the process. So what God does is he loosens
- 2:38:24Speaker 1: the bonds of justice. In other words, he doesn't apply
- 2:38:27Speaker 1: the full punishment of the law because it's better for
- 2:38:31Speaker 1: our spiritual well-being in the process. And so his mercy,
- 2:38:36Speaker 1: he grants it to us because it's a manifestation of
- 2:38:39Speaker 1: his goodness. St. Augustine says it's the greatest manifestation of
- 2:38:43Speaker 1: how good God is, that he actually doesn't punish us,
- 2:38:46Speaker 1: that he actually doesn't extend the full extent of the
- 2:38:50Speaker 1: punishment to us for that. Now, mercy is, we get
- 2:38:53Speaker 1: mercy for two reasons, and this we know from the
- 2:38:54Speaker 1: Old Testament, and we also know it from the New Testament,
- 2:38:57Speaker 1: that mercy is for the stupid, you know, you're dumb, okay,
- 2:39:02Speaker 1: and so I'm gonna cut you some slack, right? But
- 2:39:04Speaker 1: he doesn't do it all the time. Once in a while,
- 2:39:06Speaker 1: he'll let us kind of suffer our stupidity so we
- 2:39:08Speaker 1: clue in, okay? But then the other one is when
- 2:39:11Speaker 1: we're sorry for it. And the reason his mercy, he
- 2:39:14Speaker 1: gives it to us because we're contract. We're sorry for
- 2:39:17Speaker 1: what we've done. It's because of the fact that the sorrow,
- 2:39:21Speaker 1: when we look at the evil that we've done, we
- 2:39:24Speaker 1: sorrow in that evil. Whereas when we committed the sin,
- 2:39:28Speaker 1: we were focusing on the good we were getting out
- 2:39:30Speaker 1: of it, and that was disordered. So when he sees
- 2:39:33Speaker 1: that order within the soul that, look, I've done a
- 2:39:35Speaker 1: bad thing, and that you're sorry to him because you've
- 2:39:39Speaker 1: offended him when he sees that sorrow, then he realizes
- 2:39:44Speaker 1: that's the order that I was looking for, that the
- 2:39:47Speaker 1: soul is rightly ordered. And there's a result that he
- 2:39:49Speaker 1: communicates to them his mercy. And that means he loosens
- 2:39:52Speaker 1: the bonds of justice and they're not bound by it.
- 2:39:55Speaker 1: And so God's mercy is for the stupid and the contrite.
- 2:39:57Speaker 1: And so divine mercy is specifically God's mercy is, which
- 2:40:03Speaker 1: he said in the Old Testament, look, if you're sorry
- 2:40:05Speaker 1: in the New Testament, if you're sorry for your sins,
- 2:40:07Speaker 1: this is what I'm gonna give you. So there's a
- 2:40:09Speaker 1: certain sense in which it's also his mercy is his justice,
- 2:40:12Speaker 1: because he is gonna be absolutely true to his word,
- 2:40:15Speaker 1: which is just, that if you meet these requirements, I
- 2:40:19Speaker 1: will loosen the bonds of justice, which is his mercy.
- 2:40:22Speaker 1: But if you're not, then I'm not going to. So
- 2:40:23Speaker 1: there's a justice element of it. But the point being is,
- 2:40:27Speaker 1: is that his mercy is something which, is he desires
- 2:40:32Speaker 1: for us to be under his mercy, which basically means
- 2:40:34Speaker 1: he desires that right over the soul for us to
- 2:40:36Speaker 1: be sorry for the sins that we've committed. And then
- 2:40:39Speaker 1: he basically, then at that point, he'll forgive us our sins.
- 2:40:43Speaker 1: And then he'll also confer to us good things because
- 2:40:47Speaker 1: of the fact that we're sorry. What's interesting is because
- 2:40:50Speaker 1: God's outside of time and he sees the totality of
- 2:40:55Speaker 1: time all the time and all at once, So he
- 2:41:01Speaker 1: sees what you've done in the past, and he sees
- 2:41:02Speaker 1: what you're doing now. That means that even though he
- 2:41:05Speaker 1: has loosened the bonds of justice with you in the
- 2:41:07Speaker 1: order of time, for all eternity, that is, and is
- 2:41:11Speaker 1: eternal now, he will see the offense that you've committed.
- 2:41:15Speaker 1: This is why Christ dying upon the cross has an
- 2:41:18Speaker 1: infinite effect, because it extends for the rest of eternity.
- 2:41:22Speaker 1: That's why it says in Psalms, his mercy endures forever.
- 2:41:26Speaker 1: Even though he looked at your offense for all eternity, Nevertheless,
- 2:41:30Speaker 1: he also sees your contrite-ness and then you place yourself
- 2:41:35Speaker 1: under his mercy. And then that's what he lets you
- 2:41:38Speaker 1: live under even though he sees it for all eternity.
- 2:41:40Speaker 1: So he's literally merciful even to the people in heaven.
- 2:41:44Speaker 1: The only ones who didn't get to enjoy his actual
- 2:41:46Speaker 1: mercy are the angels who were always faithful because they
- 2:41:48Speaker 1: never committed anything evil. But the rest of us, his
- 2:41:53Speaker 1: mercy endures forever. Beautiful. Well, Father, I feel really good
- 2:42:00Speaker 1: about this interview. Good. Would you like to end it
- 2:42:03Speaker 1: in a prayer? Sure. In the name of the Father, Son,
- 2:42:06Speaker 1: and the Holy Spirit, amen. Jesus, we give you thanks
- 2:42:09Speaker 1: for everything that you have given us during this and
- 2:42:11Speaker 1: for all the knowledge that you have communicated through divine revelation,
- 2:42:15Speaker 1: which has come down to us through the tradition of
- 2:42:17Speaker 1: the Catholic Church and that we have actually been able
- 2:42:20Speaker 1: to make use of. We also thank you for all
- 2:42:23Speaker 1: of the graces that you have given to all of us,
- 2:42:25Speaker 1: and we ask you to continue to give us the
- 2:42:27Speaker 1: grace to so that we may be faithful to your
- 2:42:30Speaker 1: call to become holier, but also that we may be
- 2:42:34Speaker 1: willing to follow the truth regardless of the personal cost.
- 2:42:38Speaker 1: And in that, then, God, we will finally arrive at you,
- 2:42:41Speaker 1: whose truth itself. In the name of the Father, the Son,
- 2:42:44Speaker 1: and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Amen. All right. Well, Father,
- 2:42:47Speaker 1: I hope the next time I see you is fly
- 2:42:51Speaker 1: fishing on the river. I hope so, too. All right.
- 2:42:54Speaker 1: God bless you. God bless.
