- 0:00- Without further ado, we bring in the one
- 0:02- and only Seth Grossman who, I wanna borrow
- 0:05- some of his frequent flyer miles
- 0:08- someday.
- 0:10- He's a world traveler.
- 0:12- Seth, good morning.
- 0:14- Good morning. Yes. I I will be traveling
- 0:16- in the next couple weeks, but the the
- 0:18- liberty and prosperity message will go out.
- 0:21- Of course, we meet every Saturday morning from
- 0:23- 09:30 to 10:30 at Sal's Coal Fired Pizza
- 0:26- in Somers Point.
- 0:28- Our
- 0:29- website is libertyandprosperity.com,
- 0:31- and what comes out of our discussions gets
- 0:34- posted on that website. We also send out
- 0:36- a free,
- 0:37- email update every week.
- 0:39- And if you're,
- 0:40- have trouble signing up through the website, just
- 0:42- contact us at info,info,@libertyandprosperity.com,
- 0:47- and we'll put you on a list. And,
- 0:49- of course, my latest personal project is that
- 0:51- book,
- 0:52- 1676
- 0:54- project, how New Jersey shaped America.
- 0:57- And, you, of course, you can pick up
- 0:59- the book for $20 at our,
- 1:01- breakfast meetings, but it's also popping up in
- 1:04- stores around the county.
- 1:06- You can get it at the rare bird
- 1:07- in Summers Point that, finds in Margate at
- 1:10- Georgia's in Ocean City.
- 1:12- It will soon be at the Beechwood Trading
- 1:14- in historic Smithville.
- 1:16- And, after our meeting this morning at 09:30,
- 1:19- I'll be doing a book signing at the
- 1:21- Cheetah Bagel Cafe
- 1:23- in Atlantic City on Arctic Avenue, same block
- 1:26- as the,
- 1:27- as the White House sub shop.
- 1:29- So that book is important because almost every
- 1:32- political issue,
- 1:34- we're dealing with today, including,
- 1:37- stuff like,
- 1:38- the terrorism by Iran,
- 1:41- was going on in 1676,
- 1:43- and it's interesting to see how Americans dealt
- 1:46- with it at that time.
- 1:49- Before I talk about,
- 1:50- the war in Iran,
- 1:52- it looks like I have become
- 1:54- a political issue in Atlanta County. And I
- 1:57- don't know if you've seen it or not,
- 1:59- but,
- 2:00- the Democrats
- 2:01- are
- 2:02- running a candidate named Lisa Bender
- 2:05- against Joe Jurallo
- 2:07- for a three year term as county clerk.
- 2:11- And, you know, just as a lawyer who
- 2:13- deals with recording documents at the county courthouse,
- 2:17- I could tell you personally that Joe Jurado
- 2:19- is probably the most efficient,
- 2:22- and,
- 2:23- you know, prompt clerk,
- 2:25- in recording deeds or documents or anything you
- 2:28- have to do. I mean, there was a
- 2:29- time when the the county clerk clerk's office,
- 2:31- It would take you two or three months
- 2:33- to to get a document filed, and that
- 2:35- we wreak wreak havoc with people trying to
- 2:37- do business.
- 2:38- But right now, everything is filed and,
- 2:41- and done the way it should be done
- 2:43- within a couple days.
- 2:45- So, you know, if you can't run against
- 2:47- somebody based on the job they're doing,
- 2:50- what what what will the campaign issue be?
- 2:53- Well, according to,
- 2:55- Joe Dorella's opponent, the Democratic opponent, Seth Grossman
- 2:59- is the big issue.
- 3:00- She posted something on her website that said
- 3:03- Seth Grossman,
- 3:04- leader of liberty and prosperity,
- 3:06- Atlanta County Republican candidate for congress in 2018,
- 3:11- an ally of, Joe Jurado
- 3:14- made a post
- 3:15- claiming that many vote by mail voters
- 3:18- are uninformed,
- 3:20- intoxicated,
- 3:21- dependent on government assistance,
- 3:23- and manipulated into voting.
- 3:25- And then she says,
- 3:27- it's worth noting
- 3:28- that Atlanta County Joe Jurado, get this, he
- 3:31- has appeared
- 3:32- and spoken before
- 3:34- liberty and prosperity meetings and with Seth Grossman,
- 3:37- and they have shared political circles and public
- 3:40- events for years.
- 3:42- So, basically, she's saying,
- 3:43- don't vote for Joe Giraldo because he talks
- 3:47- to Seth Roseman and comes to liberty and
- 3:49- prosperity meetings.
- 3:51- That is so ridiculous.
- 3:52- That is I mean, that's that's the most
- 3:55- ridiculous
- 3:56- thing I have ever heard in my life.
- 4:00- Joe Juralo
- 4:01- is one of the finest individuals, first of
- 4:04- all, I know.
- 4:05- Secondly, you are right, and people don't know
- 4:08- this. He's in his office. I I joke
- 4:10- with him every time he comes on the
- 4:12- show. I heard you were in late the
- 4:14- other day. You're going in the quarter to
- 4:15- seven.
- 4:16- He's in there at 06:30,
- 4:18- and he's all over the place. So, I
- 4:20- mean,
- 4:22- there is nobody better
- 4:24- than Joe Giraldo.
- 4:26- And and, you know,
- 4:29- leave it to the Democrats to make an
- 4:30- issue out of something that isn't an issue.
- 4:33- Well, you you see what they're doing. Yeah.
- 4:35- Yeah. They they wanna say, well, Seth Grossman
- 4:37- is radical and extreme.
- 4:39- And and so they they're really
- 4:41- trying to goad Joe into saying, oh, Seth
- 4:44- Grossman. I never heard of him. I I
- 4:45- don't support these things. But I just wanna
- 4:48- make it clear,
- 4:49- what I've been saying for years
- 4:51- about these,
- 4:53- mail in ballots that are collected over a
- 4:56- forty five day period
- 4:58- instead of one election day.
- 5:00- And I actually started talking about this back
- 5:03- in 2020
- 5:04- when when Trump lost that election,
- 5:07- and people were saying stolen election and stolen
- 5:09- ballots.
- 5:10- I was pointing out that,
- 5:12- no.
- 5:13- All of the ballots, or at least most
- 5:15- of them, were genuine,
- 5:17- but they were
- 5:18- harvested over a forty five year period or
- 5:21- forty five day period,
- 5:23- from people who were either, you know, drunk
- 5:25- or homeless or all these things.
- 5:27- And, yeah, there was a lot of,
- 5:29- fraud going on, but you couldn't prove the
- 5:32- fraud because when it's by mail, you don't
- 5:34- know who the people are or where they
- 5:36- are. You just know that they are real
- 5:37- legal names. So I've been,
- 5:40- proposing for years
- 5:42- that the only way to fix this is
- 5:44- to go back to one in person election
- 5:46- day,
- 5:47- where everybody shows no ID. And I just
- 5:50- wanna, make a list of the problems with
- 5:53- mail in voting.
- 5:54- Number one,
- 5:57- mail in voting encourages fraud.
- 6:00- I know as a lawyer
- 6:01- many, many times that people who are willing
- 6:04- to sign false papers or lie in an
- 6:07- affidavit
- 6:08- in a lawyer's office
- 6:10- are not willing to say that same lie
- 6:12- in person in front of a judge.
- 6:15- We know for a fact that with welfare
- 6:17- and unemployment claims,
- 6:19- you had a lot less fraud when people
- 6:21- had to go in person
- 6:23- and pick up the, you know, their check
- 6:26- and swear that they were looking for work
- 6:28- or swear that everything on their form was
- 6:30- true.
- 6:30- But when people just quietly lie on a
- 6:33- piece of paper, they're more willing to do
- 6:34- it. It's human nature.
- 6:36- Number two,
- 6:38- in person voting prevents electioneering
- 6:41- within 200 feet of a polling
- 6:43- place. In my my book, that 1676
- 6:47- project,
- 6:48- one of the greatest reforms
- 6:50- that the founders of New Jersey started in
- 6:52- 1676
- 6:54- was the idea of a secret ballot
- 6:56- where,
- 6:57- you you every every voter had to appear
- 6:59- in person and put his or her ballot
- 7:02- into a ballot box so that you knew
- 7:05- it was genuine. You knew the person was
- 7:07- real, and we've had that system for three
- 7:09- hundred and fifty years.
- 7:11- Now,
- 7:12- and of course, there's no electioneering within 200
- 7:14- feet of the polling place. But when you
- 7:16- have mail in ballots,
- 7:18- every kitchen table and living room becomes a
- 7:20- polling place. And we've all seen,
- 7:23- you know, bullying, intimidation,
- 7:25- undue influence, all sorts sorts of things. You
- 7:28- know, you you have grandma at the kitchen
- 7:29- table. Oh, grandma, we're we're going for this
- 7:31- one. You know, maybe grandma would do something
- 7:34- else if,
- 7:35- she were in a polling place and she
- 7:37- closes the curtain and does it in person.
- 7:40- So we we see that.
- 7:42- And then we also know that,
- 7:44- you know, do you think it's a good
- 7:45- idea for someone to vote,
- 7:48- when they're drunk or under the influence of
- 7:49- drugs?
- 7:51- Well, if it's if it's not safe to
- 7:53- to drive a car,
- 7:54- when you're drunk or under the influence
- 7:58- it should it you know, it should it
- 7:59- be disqualified from,
- 8:01- you know, deciding who's gonna run our lives
- 8:03- for the next three or four years?
- 8:06- When you have in person voting, you observe
- 8:09- if someone walks in there, if they're capable
- 8:11- of,
- 8:12- voting.
- 8:13- You don't have that with mail in ballots.
- 8:16- And, of course, elections should not just be
- 8:18- fair. They have to appear to be fair.
- 8:20- So when suddenly you have an election,
- 8:23- an election night, you know, one person is
- 8:25- up by a a few thousand votes.
- 8:27- And then you have three weeks of counting
- 8:30- ballots, and it turns out that 95%
- 8:32- of all the last minute ballots
- 8:35- go for one particular candidate.
- 8:37- You know something's not right. And the only
- 8:39- way to fix that is to have one
- 8:42- in person election day,
- 8:45- and that's what we have to do. So,
- 8:47- I'm not ashamed of what I said about
- 8:50- in person
- 8:52- voting with an ID is is a more
- 8:55- reliable way to elect people than this forty
- 8:57- five day,
- 8:59- you know, ballot paper ballot harvest season.
- 9:02- But if the Democrats want to,
- 9:04- say, well, well, any Republican who agrees with
- 9:07- that,
- 9:08- should should be disqualified or is a bigot
- 9:11- or a racist, you know, I think,
- 9:13- this is actually an opportunity for Joe Torrallo
- 9:16- to say how
- 9:18- as county clerk, he knows it would be
- 9:20- less expensive,
- 9:21- less complicated, more honest
- 9:24- if everybody votes in person on one day.
- 9:27- Just like the save act that's in congress
- 9:29- right now, we'd be better off, doing that
- 9:32- than what we have now. And, of course,
- 9:34- if anybody's genuinely
- 9:36- handicapped or sick or, you know, can't come
- 9:39- to the polls, we we for years, we
- 9:41- had absentee ballots with a doctor's note. And
- 9:44- there's no way we we there's no reason
- 9:46- not to go back to that.
- 9:48- I agree with you. I mean, this this
- 9:51- whole thing of
- 9:52- how many days they vote ahead of time,
- 9:54- It's it's ripe for fraud. You're absolutely right.
- 9:57- It is ripe for fraud.
- 9:59- And So so I think I agree. Yeah.
- 10:01- I agree. Definitely agree.
- 10:03- So so the question is, are the Republicans
- 10:05- going to back away and say, oh, no.
- 10:07- We we we we we don't have anything
- 10:09- to do with liberty and prosperity. But I
- 10:10- think if they lean into it, they'll get
- 10:12- a lot of support. And, it's time for
- 10:15- Republicans to really,
- 10:16- promote basic principles that are gonna make the
- 10:19- country better. So having talked about that, I
- 10:22- I don't have, time to to talk much
- 10:24- about,
- 10:26- the war in Iran, except I do wanna
- 10:27- talk about,
- 10:29- the the coverage that we're getting from The
- 10:31- Middle East. There are two things, to bring
- 10:33- up. Number one,
- 10:35- the fact that the, when you talk about,
- 10:38- you know, Israel,
- 10:40- the people who are you know, Israel basically
- 10:43- has the same enemies
- 10:45- that The United States has. Yeah. You have,
- 10:48- Islamists who wanna take over the whole world
- 10:51- for Islam,
- 10:52- and you have leftist, communist, socialist, whatever label
- 10:55- they they feel is convenient at the time.
- 10:58- They also wanna take over the world. And
- 11:00- when they see a normal country like Israel
- 11:03- or The United
- 11:04- States, they will try to claim that because
- 11:08- that normal country isn't perfect,
- 11:11- it's evil.
- 11:12- So, we we see in Israel, well, you
- 11:15- know, Israel did this wrong. Israel did that
- 11:17- wrong.
- 11:18- Yeah. In In in every country, there are
- 11:21- people who do you know, they make mistakes.
- 11:23- They do stupid things. They do careless things.
- 11:26- But to say a country
- 11:28- is,
- 11:29- bad because you have a handful of people
- 11:31- who do that,
- 11:32- that's exactly what they did to The United
- 11:34- States.
- 11:35- You know, you have to judge the overall
- 11:37- country. And, also, when you put the microscope
- 11:40- on one country
- 11:41- and completely ignore
- 11:43- what, you know, much worse countries are doing,
- 11:46- you get a distorted view of things.
- 11:48- And we actually see that with, you know,
- 11:50- in The United States, when they said,
- 11:52- oh, you know, America is an evil country,
- 11:56- because this happened or that happened. And what
- 11:58- you'll notice is even if nothing bad happened
- 12:01- this week, they'll say, well, you did something
- 12:03- bad two weeks ago. Oh, you did something
- 12:05- bad a hundred years ago.
- 12:07- And that whole Juneteenth holiday
- 12:10- that we had yesterday,
- 12:13- is is a re ridiculous example of that.
- 12:16- I mean, yes.
- 12:18- A hundred and fifty years ago or two
- 12:19- hundred years ago, we had slavery in America,
- 12:22- but then we had 310,000
- 12:24- white guys got killed to end slavery.
- 12:26- And you and I growing up in the
- 12:28- fifties
- 12:29- know, you know, what a wonderful place it
- 12:32- was for everybody Yes. In the fifties and
- 12:34- sixties. Yes. I I mean, we went to
- 12:36- school. Blacks and and whites went to school
- 12:38- together. We worked summer jobs together. We,
- 12:41- played on sports teams together. We, you know,
- 12:44- went into our own businesses. When we, you
- 12:47- know, went out, we didn't even lock lock
- 12:49- the door. We we didn't close the door.
- 12:51- In the summertime, you had a screen door.
- 12:54- You could walk into any neighborhood day or
- 12:56- night.
- 12:57- Was it a perfect society?
- 12:59- Of course not. There were some jerks. There
- 13:01- were some bullies. There were some ignorant people
- 13:04- out there, but you don't condemn a whole
- 13:06- society because of a handful of people.
- 13:09- And if you look at where America was
- 13:11- then,
- 13:12- by trying to say, well, America was bad
- 13:14- because we were not perfect,
- 13:16- it it was the same thing. So we
- 13:18- changed everything,
- 13:19- and we're in a much worse worse situation
- 13:22- now than we were fifty years ago. So
- 13:25- I think we have to remember that.
- 13:27- And and the other thing we have to
- 13:28- remember also, we keep saying, you know, Israel,
- 13:33- and and and America and Iran
- 13:35- as if there's nobody else in the region.
- 13:38- We keep forget forgetting
- 13:41- that,
- 13:42- there are
- 13:43- four major,
- 13:45- countries or movements,
- 13:48- in the Islamic world besides
- 13:50- Iran.
- 13:52- And,
- 13:52- you know, a lot of them,
- 13:55- have a have
- 13:56- a big, role in what's going on.
- 13:59- Now just to give you an idea, I
- 14:00- know it sounds ridiculous to most Americans,
- 14:03- but the Muslims think they are on the
- 14:06- verge of taking over the world.
- 14:09- They think they have the money. They think
- 14:11- they have the oil,
- 14:12- and their biggest weapon
- 14:14- are their babies.
- 14:16- They're saying, you Americans, you Europeans, you only
- 14:18- have one or two kids.
- 14:20- We're having seven, eight, nine, fourteen, 15 kids.
- 14:24- Kids. Now back in the old days, when
- 14:26- we used to have, you know, a a
- 14:27- a, you know, a dozen kids,
- 14:29- most of them would die before adulthood from
- 14:32- war, starvation, plague, all that stuff. But thanks
- 14:35- to the Western world,
- 14:38- with your wonderful
- 14:39- food aid and your medical help and all
- 14:41- these things you do for us, if we
- 14:43- have 12 or 15 kids, they're all gonna
- 14:45- live,
- 14:46- to be adults, and then they're gonna have
- 14:48- 14 or 15 kids. So they say, this
- 14:51- is how we,
- 14:53- took over French Algeria. This is how we
- 14:55- took over Christian Lebanon. This is how we
- 14:57- took over South Africa. This is how we
- 15:00- took over Rhodesia
- 15:01- just by having lots of babies. And,
- 15:04- whenever we we don't have enough food, we
- 15:06- just put a, you know, TV ads saying,
- 15:09- oh, the the horrible conditions. Give us more
- 15:11- money for our kids.
- 15:12- So they're they figured they're taking over the
- 15:14- world, you know, with the demographics.
- 15:17- And now the big issue is once they
- 15:19- do take over the world, in the Islamic
- 15:21- world, the question is who's gonna be running
- 15:24- it? Because they don't believe in nations, like
- 15:27- independent
- 15:29- nations. That's a European thing. That's a Western
- 15:31- thing.
- 15:32- They believe in what's called a caliphate
- 15:35- where one,
- 15:37- caliph or or as they call it, a
- 15:39- caliph
- 15:40- runs the entire Islamic world.
- 15:42- Now for five hundred years, it was Turkey
- 15:44- in the Ottoman Empire.
- 15:46- Before that, it was Arabs.
- 15:48- So right now, you have,
- 15:50- Iran is just one of four,
- 15:54- I guess, countries that is determined to be
- 15:56- running the entire world
- 15:58- once,
- 15:59- the West once Israel's destroyed, The United States
- 16:02- is destroyed, they take over Europe. And that
- 16:05- is Pakistan is one. Turkey is another one.
- 16:08- Saudi Arabia is another one. Iran is number
- 16:11- four. And number five is is a group
- 16:13- called the Muslim Brotherhood
- 16:15- that's sort of headquartered in Qatar.
- 16:18- So you have those five of them. And
- 16:20- what they're all doing, besides trying to take
- 16:23- over the world, they're fighting with each other
- 16:25- as to which one of them would be
- 16:27- running the world once the, the West collapses.
- 16:30- And so you'll notice that, Saudi Arabia is
- 16:34- depending on The United States for support,
- 16:36- and you'll notice that Iran,
- 16:38- or actually,
- 16:39- Saudi Arabia is depending on Republicans like like
- 16:42- the Bush Republicans
- 16:44- for their support
- 16:45- that, you know, the Democrats were leaning towards
- 16:48- Iran. So each of them is looking for
- 16:50- allies,
- 16:50- you know, outside the Islamic world to help
- 16:53- them take over. So if you just look
- 16:55- at it as The United States and Israel
- 16:57- against Iran,
- 16:59- you're sort of missing the point. There are
- 17:01- those other four players in there, and they're
- 17:04- all trying to use us and use the
- 17:07- communist,
- 17:08- to jockey for position to take over. And,
- 17:10- you know, you can't talk about this complicated
- 17:13- stuff,
- 17:14- you know, in a radio conversation,
- 17:16- but there's an excellent book,
- 17:18- called,
- 17:19- God's Terrorist by Charles Allen.
- 17:22- You know, it takes a couple hours to
- 17:24- read, but if you learn some of these
- 17:26- details, a lot of stuff that doesn't make
- 17:28- a lot of sense right now
- 17:30- suddenly makes perfect sense. And and this is
- 17:32- what we talked about at our Liberty and
- 17:34- Prosperity breakfast.
- 17:36- Well,
- 17:38- yeah, I I think you're out of time.
- 17:41- Yeah. Yeah. I I say I hope I
- 17:42- didn't put everyone to sleep on this one.
- 17:44- No. No.
- 17:45- It it it really is complicated.
- 17:47- And and just like a couple of details,
- 17:49- you say Pakistan. Well,
- 17:51- you know, how could Pakistan be serious? Well,
- 17:54- Pakistan is sending
- 17:56- millions of immigrants all having
- 17:59- five, ten, 15 kids
- 18:01- to England, to Germany, to United States. They
- 18:03- have a nuclear weapon. And and I'll give
- 18:05- you one other thing about Pakistan, why they
- 18:07- think they're a major player.
- 18:09- All their leaders come from this you know,
- 18:11- Pakistan is used to be India,
- 18:14- but the Hindus went to one section India.
- 18:16- The Muslims went to Pakistan.
- 18:18- But there's a school
- 18:20- that they say teaches the proper Islam called
- 18:23- the Diovan School in in India.
- 18:25- And, their students are running, you know, all
- 18:28- these countries.
- 18:29- Guess what the the, the Urdu word for
- 18:32- students
- 18:33- of that Diovan,
- 18:35- university is where they train all these people.
- 18:38- I I have no I have no idea.
- 18:40- It's called Taliban.
- 18:42- The the word for student is Taliban, and
- 18:44- that gives you an idea that that Pakistan
- 18:46- has a lot more influence,
- 18:48- than we think. But, anyway,
- 18:50- a lot to discuss and, enjoy the weekend,
- 18:53- and we'll talk, God willing, next week. Okay.
