- Miles: Hi there, welcome to today's episode of the Hospitable Hosts podcast. Today's episode is a recording from this week's town hall that we hosted live on Zoom. You can join our next public bi-weekly town hall by heading to hospitable.com forward slash town dash halls. You can always watch past event recordings too in the same place. That's hospitable.com forward slash town dash halls. Enjoy today's episode. Speaker 5: Okay, hello everyone and welcome to today's Town Hall. Thank you so much for joining us for this bi-weekly Town Hall. we're going to kick things off with some company and product updates today before moving on to some Q &A from audience. ⁓ So now I'm just going to briefly move on to our disclaimer, and then I'm going to hand it over to PC to get us started. PC. Speaker 1: Hello everyone and thank you so very much for joining us on this panel. And before we start on the main subjects of this panel, I want to start by telling you something that you already know, but probably don't hear enough. You are special. I mean that sincerely, but I also can't admit it literally today. You are, of course, very special to us. You are our customers and you are the very reason this company exists. Hopefully that doesn't change by the end of this tunnel. But you're also special in a statistical sense. You are, in fact, what would be called an anomaly. And what I'm going to show you is making that very clear. A study came out recently from the chief economist at RDNA whose name is Jamie Lane. And you can see his LinkedIn post on LinkedIn. And he was generous enough to share the results of their inquiry of their research publicly. RDNA has been pulling every entire home and apartment short-term rental in the United States that was available, that were available for bookings as of March 2026, that was just a few weeks ago, and that represents together nearly 1.5 million listings. Of those, as you can see, only 35.6 % of those listings are software connected. they use a property management platform of some kind, such as, for example, hospitable. And that means 64.4 % are not connected to any software at all. No PMS, no challenge manager, no automation, nothing at all. So those numbers have been shocking several people in the industry because either 35 % seems like a lot or 64 % seems like a lot. I think everyone is looking exactly what they're looking. what they were looking forward to see. But I want to say that in 2026, 64 % of US listings that are operating with no software at all is a really significant gap in this industry. And obviously, when you zoom in on self-managers or independent hosts, if move to the next slide, this is even more significant. In this case, 84 % of self-managed listings are not software connected. 84 % are not software connected. So that's hundreds of thousands of properties that may even be multichannels that are listed on Airbnb, Booking.com, and Verbo that are managed by a single person across multiple platforms with no property management software whatsoever. So imagine that, no calendar sync, no automated messaging, et cetera. So that is a little bit troubling as an industry. And it reflects very poorly on all of us, and I mean every software provider in this category. Because I believe it means we have failed to make our product accessible enough, affordable enough, and simple enough for the majority of operators to just simply say yes. You that are sitting here today on this tiny tunnel made the choice to professionalize. You are software connected. And that makes you very, very special indeed in the industry. Now, what's the problem? The world is not particularly standing still these days. And we live in an era of accelerated change. It's very hard to keep up. You have heard about AI. Some of you are living in AI as we are at split table. Just one number to give you a bit of an illustration on this. As we are right now, after the end of the first quarter of 2026, 90 % of the code that is released to our application is today AI generated. There is always a human loop. It's always being reviewed. And there is definitely a request to be creating that code. But that code is AI generated. And that is the pace of change on how software gets built today. Every function of our company lives in an AI workflow today. but not quite for short-term multiple operators. The compounding improvements, the automation, distribution, intelligence, all of that requires software. It requires being connected. If only a third of operators are software connected, then that means only a third have really a chance to benefit from what is coming and what is happening to the rest of the world. That is an opportunity for you, the software-connected third, and the other two thirds have locked out, not because it chose to be, but because this industry has not given them a way in. So today, that's what we're going to be talking about. We're calling this presentation about accelerating access. So everything you are going to hear in this panel today falls under one thesis. We are here at Hospitable to be accelerating the access to software and more importantly, to the opportunity behind it. So we're going to cover three things. First, we're going to cover an easier product. We need to be always a significantly easier product because if we don't take this intentional action, we are going to drown in a sea of complexity and you with it. So you're going to hear from Tim and what we call our product-led growth team on the improvements that we've made recently to make hospitable simpler to use, faster to navigate, and quicker to get set up. Second is about AI. Nikita will be joining us to share some recent developments in how we are opening a platform to the ecosystem for every user. Let me clear that up. For every user. And what that means is how you will move to change interacting with your data. And third, I'll be back at the end of this presentation to talk to you about something else that we're releasing today, but has been several years in the making. This is ⁓ a very dense tunnel. If I'm counting right, there will be two industry first. So please stay tuned for this. There will be something for everybody, including that your first time using a proper team management software, if you want to create applications on top of a speed table, or if you are already a power user. And to get started with this presentation, we're going to have an easier access with STEM. Good luck. Speaker 2: Thank you. Yes. So like PC mentioned, today I want to talk about an easier product and making hospitable easier to use. Our product has come a long way over the last few years. We started in 2016 as just a simple Airbnb messaging app. Today, we're a full-blown property management software with thousands of users. And we have launched so many. requested features in that time, dozens and dozens of them in the last two years alone. AI auto-reply, upsells, clean a marketplace, owner statements. This is far from an exhausted list. But let's be honest. Yes, we've built a lot of features, but usability, discoverability of those features and the app itself hasn't always kept up. And it's feedback that we hear a lot. So for example, here's a quote from a user. I don't like how complicated everything is. Some of the features are buried in unintuitive ways that I wouldn't expect. And so yes, we know the app can feel confusing. We know features aren't always easy to find. Access can feel restricted. And this means that you're leaving value on the table. Another piece of feedback. I know I'm not using the full capabilities of hospitable. I need to spend more time in there because I feel like it could make my life a lot easier. And this doesn't just apply to new users. Even experienced users don't always use hospitable's full capabilities. For example, another user said, I still do not fully understand all of my options and how to use the platform to its full advantage. This leads to features going unused, to work that gets done manually, and you don't get that full value from hospitable. And we completely agree that the app should be easier to use. We mentioned this in our roadmap in the first town hall of the year. It's very much aligned with our goals. We want to polish the app. We want to make features easier to find, make workflow simpler. Speaker 7: to Speaker 2: We want to not just build more, but make sure that what already exists works better. And ultimately, like I said, help you get more value from hospitable and get it faster. And so now the largest product and engineering team at hospitable is dedicated to doing just that. And there's a lot of us. And so for the last three months and for the rest of the year, We have been focused on and will remain focused on that goal of polishing that. We've been working very closely with support. We've been spending time in the support queue, answering your questions. We have been running live calls with hosts, with you guys, to really understand what the real problems are. And to be completely honest, we found a lot that we didn't like and a lot that we'd like to improve. And so since we have become obsessed with understanding how hospital actually gets used and trying to improve it. And so what are some of those highlights that we've been working on so far? Well, you already know about one of them. We've simplified the navigation menus in the app. The structure is now clearer. Features are grouped together in a more intuitive way. There's a lot less clutter than before. Almost 15,000 of you are now using this new navigation. And the feedback so far has been positive. Very few of you have actually opted back out of this new navigation. Next, we mentioned this new feature in the last town hall, search. So this is a new search bar in the menu. It lets you navigate to pages within the app, to search for help articles, even use commands such as adding a teammate or creating a new task. But over the last couple of weeks, we have been listening to you feedback and we've made some more improvements here. So you can now search for conversations with your guests via their email or their phone number. Soon, you'll be able to search for conversations via words or phrases from your messages. We've added some new commands as well, such as add new booking. And then finally, we now also allow you to search for specific settings. So for example, a specific property setting. It's still in beta at the moment, but we will be releasing it further once we're confident it is actually working for you. However, so I have mentioned navigation. I've mentioned search, features that make it easier to find things. But finding things is only part of the problem. Yes, you can now move around the product more easily. You can find what you're searching for more easily. But going back to getting more value from hospitable, it's not always clear what you should be doing next. It's not just where is that feature you can get value from, but what is that feature? And so we've built something that allows you to get more from hospitable. This is a new resource, a new page within the app that shows you what you should be doing next. It includes all of the features that high performing hosts actually use. And so it's tailored to focus only on the highest impact actions. There's no strict order. You need to move through it in. But the aim, as I keep saying, is to help you get that value faster, to help you understand the full capabilities of what hospitable can do, and help show you what you should be focusing on next. To go into it in a little bit more detail, So as of today, there should be a new page on your menu called Setup and Grow. We're rolling this out to everyone throughout the day. If it's not available to you yet, it will be by the end of the day. But you can explore areas like revenue or streamline operations. You can click on an item, learn more about it, and then jump straight to that feature. If you've already set it up, we've already marked it done for you. And you can mark any item as done at any point or even just dismiss and remove this page entirely. And we have a lot more planned for this new resource coming soon. So now then, these are some of the bigger feature releases. But like I said, when we were spending time answering your support tickets and speaking to you, we found a lot of smaller things that we didn't like too. So here are a few of those things that we have polished along the way. And we're going to keep doing this. We will keep polishing throughout the year. So first, we've improved the mobile calendar. Beforehand, there were a few things, as you can see, out of alignment. I'm sure it drove some people's OCD a little bit crazy. You could only see two days ahead before you needed to actually scroll. And now ⁓ we have improved the usability. It's more scannable. More dates are actually visible. four of them in fact, which is 100 % improvement. But ⁓ ultimately, it just looks a heck of a lot more polished and there's much more to come here when it comes to the mobile app. Second, previously, ⁓ when you'd connect a new Airbnb account, it could take upwards of six hours to actually import your pricing along with it. During this time, the calendar would show your prices as zero. This is something we saw in our live calls with users. It was a little bit scary, a bit confusing. We've made some changes. Now we import that pricing in around 30 seconds instead. So now the pricing should be a lot less confusing when you connect a new Airbnb account. Third, next thing we've polished. So if you're a user of the guest portal, you might have noticed that updating the guest's name on a reservation did not update the name or the validation attached to the guest portal. That could be confusing. You'd have a separate name on each. They were out of sync. So now updating the guest name on the reservation in the inbox will, in fact, update the name of the guest or the guest portal, keeps everything in sync, should reduce some confusion there. Penultimately, so another mobile app improvement. If you're on iOS, and you try to manage your hospitable subscription, we used to send you through a bit of an infinite loop between the app and the browser. And now we make it a lot clearer what it is that you actually need to do and where you need to go to manage your subscription. And then finally, previously, cleaners or owners could end up trying to log into the main app rather than the owner or the teammate portal. This meant often you kind of had to do some customer service yourself to help your teammates figure out the right place to log in. Instead, what we do now is if we detect a cleaner or an owner is trying to log into Hospitable, we will automatically redirect them to the right portal. Instead, should lead to a lot less confusing logging errors for the people that you work with. Okay, so my final slide. Before I pass over, Miles is going to throw up a quick poll on the screen. It is just one question long. If we could fix one thing for you in the app, what would it be? What is something that slows you down or even just in the app that annoys you? I've just mentioned some changes we've already made here across quite a wide area of the app, but this really is just the start. Like I said, we want to keep polishing. We want to keep making hospitable. easier to use. So yeah, it's on the screen now. I'll give you a couple of minutes to give your feedback, whilst Andrew provides some... Probably not a couple minutes, ⁓ a metaphorical couple minutes. ⁓ We're just doing this as a stunt, Tim, right? We're just going to take this feedback and then add, right? Straight in the bin, auto delete, yeah. What are we actually going to do with the time? Yes. So I will spend my afternoon going through this feedback for sure. The team slide that we showed earlier, we will be looking through all this feedback. We will be implementing the things that we see, that we recognize and know you. And then we'll also be reporting back on what we actually fixed in the next 10 more. And this is not the only time of the year that we actually take feedback. We're doing it live. ⁓ for a bit of drama. But yes, if you're listening on recording or after today and you still have more feedback for us, a lot of you do, you can obviously go to feedback.hospitable.com. honestly really, really try to be some of the best listeners in the industry. ⁓ My product team is in there every day of the week. have dedicated time that we're in feedback.hospitable.com, reading your suggestions. ⁓ putting them together with like things, putting projects together. When we actually go to be building projects, we absolutely rely on all of the comments that you guys have left there. ⁓ please keep going to feedback.hospitable.com, giving us great ideas, helping us improve the product. ⁓ Today's little survey is kind of a, I don't know, just kind of a special thing to let's really focus on what is top of mind right now for you guys that made the effort to be here for the town hall. And we'll see in two weeks if we can. make a bunch of you very, very happy. Is that been two minutes? Yeah, to Nick. Speaker 5: Thank Tim. Thank you, Andrew and PC. So as PC said, ⁓ you are special. And for this segment, I will repeat that. And what I mean by that is that you all have your own way of managing your short-term rentals. You have your own operational intricacies. ⁓ something to do with compliance, something to do with accounting, the way you manage your team, you communicate with your team, the way you communicate with guests. Everything is quite unique to you. And although we try to do a pretty good job at giving you the tools necessary to run a successful short-term rental business, I think we do a decent job. We cannot possibly accommodate every single kind of nuance out there. that every single person kind of does slightly differently. The web app would become completely unmanageable if we tried to build literally every possible configuration and option and different kind of UI element. But we want to. We want to be able to support that in some fashion, right? So there is this kind of paradox. We want to help you with that, but we also don't want to create this monster of a ⁓ mobile app. And also because it would just take us an unfathomable number of years and resources to actually make that a reality. But it turns out that in the last 12 months, something's happened in the world around us. And that of course is the way AI has just exploded on the scene and made things that were previously impossible, just magically possible all of a sudden. And in this new AI reality, there is indeed something that both we and you can do to actually make ⁓ this possibility, the ability to have your cake and eat it, right, as the saying goes, basically. So ⁓ we have built something and we hope that something helps you unlock the full potential of your data on your account because it is yours and you should be able to do with it as you wish. And so with that, I want to very quickly demo something, which I hope, fingers crossed, works as I intend. because this is a live demo. So give me just one moment here. You may have used AI agents such as what we're looking at here, Claude, ChatGPT is another one, Perplexity, you might be using some open source solutions like OpenClaw and so on. And as you might know, you're able to connect a wide variety of tools to those agents to do a lot of... knowledge work for you, do tasks for you, create documents, rewrite things, make pictures and so on. And ⁓ starting today, what you can also do is something like this. If you add a custom connector, we'll call it hospitable and a particular URL, which is now documented in our support docs, mcp.hospitable.com slash mcp. If I add this, will ask me to connect. And what's about to happen now is we are going to go through the normal kind of connection process on your account. So this is your hospitable account asking for access. ⁓ And if you're okay with this, if you're okay giving an AI agent like Claude or ChatDBT access to your account, it is now granted. We come back to Claude in just a second. It now has access. to your hospitable account. And let's see what it can do. So just as a sanity check, ⁓ what are my account details? And so just like you would chat with chat GPT or again, Claude, it will ask me for permission the first time you can configure it to always allow. and I'm logged in actually as Derek, one of our team members. ⁓ Let's see, let's do something like this. I don't want to go on and on with all sorts of use cases. You'll find many more than we can come up with, but something like, ⁓ look at my bookings, let's see, between March and ⁓ May, ⁓ check for ⁓ any ⁓ issues in guest communication. offer suggestions and to-dos. So what is it actually going to do is it will access your account. It will look at bookings within that time period. ⁓ And yeah, it will look through conversation histories and do the things that AIs do best, which is go through loads of data. ⁓ it actually, I'm sorry, live demo, something actually happened in the background. I do want to say, ⁓ Tim talked about Polish just now. As he was saying this, ⁓ we had a very big slowdown in the app right as he was saying this. I want to apologize. We're having issues in our infrastructure right now. And I think this is one of those things that you're seeing, unfortunately. But what I wanted to show you is that you can now connect ⁓ hospitable to an AI agent and ⁓ basically do whatever you want with ⁓ your accounts. ⁓ ⁓ So yeah, that also means that you can basically create the features and apps that are unique to you ⁓ and go beyond the current kind of limitations and opinionated way that we're choosing to build the hospitable mobile app. So the MCP server is available right now for host, professional, and ⁓ mobile subscribers. And yeah, as I showed you, it's pretty straightforward in your AI agents. mcpthehospitable.com slash mcp and the AI ⁓ agent will know what to do after that. Hopefully this gives you more access to do more things on your account. So PC back to you. Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you for the great demo with plenty of demo demons as usual. You didn't do the sacrifice. You needed to do that. Thank you very much. I think just one question that came up in the chat. Can you make changes ⁓ by interacting with the MCP? Speaker 5: Yes, ⁓ you can. Right now what the MCP server is, ⁓ it mirrors whatever the public API can do, which means it can send messages on your behalf. It can change certain things. What we intend for it to do, which is what we're going to be doing over the coming days really, is enabling it to change something in your messaging rules, something in your pricing settings, something in your tasks. Basically, anything that you have access to in the UI, you should also be able to do it through this MCB server and more actually. Speaker 1: Can you update the calendar? Yes. that means we are now very motivated on having more features accessible to the API. So you will see that coming and hopefully you get to refresh your MCP client. That can be cloud, that can be a vibe coded application platform. We are fans of Replet ⁓ and you can basically integrate with Ospitable in seconds and build your own application. And we're totally fine with that. We'll be coming back and we're probably going to talk back again about the impact of an MCP for Osprey Ball and probably for the industry later. ⁓ For now, we're going to continue on that. So, yeah, so we're going back to where we started a few minutes ago, which is we want to have easier AI for all. We want to have Accelerate, the access. to the industry, so you've heard from Tim and the product leg of Tim about the different initiatives that we've been taking to polish the application with a rebuilt navigation, a global search that really lets you act and really go into the nitty gritty of the settings much faster, a new onboarding that gets you connected and automated in minutes, and you, a checklist that stays with you until you're fully operational. You've heard from Nick. very succinctly about AI. This is actually an industry first. This is the first time that a property manual software is releasing an MCP server that allows you to connect your hospitable data directly to your multiple AI agents. That means your properties, your reservations, your guest communication, all of that you can query, you can action in English, which is the programming language ⁓ that is trendy these days. And so that is... and industry first. There's just one pillar left, which is for all. So we're gonna take you back where we started. Again, on that chart, about 64 % of listings that are not software-connected, and you guys are part of the top 35%. So what is everyone else doing? Really, that's a genuine question. And it's especially interesting since the property manual software industry has existed for 13 years. I've been at it for nearly 10. And with 13 years of building and shipping features, we as an industry have only been achieving 35 % of what I would call penetration in a space that is now more mature than ever. So there is something about the model that is not quite working. But that's probably because the software is complicated. A property management software is not the only software that's particularly complicated. You can just compare with those other software and you may use one of those, maybe without even realizing it. A CRM to manage relationship with your clients, that's 91 % adoption with businesses that have 10 or less employees, 91%. ERP, so that one is a bit higher grade, but think accounting software, that is 80 % to get started across small and big size businesses. An HR system, now that's definitely should be higher, but actually I find it was only 79 % adoption for small businesses. those are again, conservative numbers specifically for small businesses. And the PMS is really a bit at odd, it's almost the reverse. Nobody wants to buy a PMS. That's what it says. The industry has not made an effort to make it particularly accessible and we're not gonna be able to change that. situation if we don't take a clear look at the model. It's not about the product, it's not about the complexity, because those products are very complex too, is really the model that is at stake. So in time of this accelerated change, it's time to change the model of the PMS. We've been waiting, if someone else would do it, didn't. So now we're gonna take the matter into our own hands and we're gonna release a new plan. that is called essentials. So what is this new plan essential? So it's a new plan that's adding to Oath Professional and Mogul. We don't release plans every other month, so for us, it is a pretty big moment. Now, when it comes to the specs of this plan, here's the first thing. It's a zero dollar subscription plan. No recurring monthly charge for using Essentials. That's a clean zero dollar flat. So wait, there is no subscription. What's the catch? You're going to take a percentage on my Airbnb bookings, on my booking.com reservations. You will get your cut from the booking platform revenue. And you actually might be right. The junior plan in many alternatives is charging you on a fee based on your performance with your booking platforms. So if you make $1,000 on Airbnb, the PMS will charge you something like $90. That is smart. But if that worked, we would know. So no. these essentials as zero OTA fees, we will not take a percentage on your Airbnb booking of verbal reservations for the privilege of you yourself being successful. Your OTA revenue, your booking platform revenue is your own revenue. We don't touch it. OK, fine. That is probably capped. There is a limit to properties, maybe five. There's got to be a ceiling somewhere, and that would be smart. But if that worked, we would know. So Essentials is available for 1 to 1,000. There is actually no limitation of the number of properties you can use on the Essentials plan, one property or 1,000. It's still on the same plan, still the same price, which is 0. 0 should be easy to understand if you see what I mean. And there is indeed no cap. So now I can ⁓ The last feature of this essential plan is that you get paid. You get paid. Essentials is not just subscription free. It is designed so that you as a host can grow your ancillary income through HostPittable with direct cash payouts or cash back flowing through our platform. After all, we are a merchant of record. We facilitate upsells. We enable protection and when those protections transactions happen we do take a share not from your booking revenue not from a subscription but from the incremental value that hospitable helps create so you don't pay hospitable to use the software the software pays for itself and then it pays you now that's what I mean when I say Hospice Essentials is not free it's actually less than free It's a plan where the economics are aligned. We make money when you make more money, not before you make money, not us making money instead of you making money. Okay. Now you get the general vibe, but we have not yet shared what is included. There have been several attempts in the industry, in fact, for a free plan in the PMS space. So less than free might not be an industry first. The industry first, is that it is an actually useful plan. That is where we're going to now. So what is included in Essentials? I'm gonna go line by line because I think some of you will not believe me. First line, challenge management across all channels. Yes, it is included. Airbnb, booking.com, Verbo, Agoda, including your iCarly support, with full calendar sync, rate sync, availability sync on every platform, on Essentials. Next, unlimited secondary users. And the answer to that is yes. You can invite your co-host, your cleaner, your property manager, your partner. There are no seat limit, no per user charge on Essentials. What about the next one? A unified inbox? Yes, every guest message from every channel in one place on Essentials. What about the fourth one? Operations and hospitable tasks. Yes, we have released an update on this that's creating a cleaner application where cleaners can see tasks and you can get paid. So all the turnover coordination, cleaner scheduling, task management, and the cleaner marketplace are available on Essentials. Next, the guest portal, upsells, and trip insurance are available on Essentials, a branded portal for your guests with the ability to offer early check-in, late check-out, welcome packages, and trip protection insurance where you earn a commission on every policy that is sold on Essentials. Next one is dynamic pricing. And guess what? Yes, it's also included with our AI-powered Rate optimization that adjusts your pricing based on demand, seasonality and market condition. All of that is on essentials. Next, automated guest communication. Yes, that is the thing that Osprey Table is known for. You can have scheduled messages from booking through checkout, confirmation, check-in instructions, house rules, checkout reminders, review requests. The messages that protect your reviews, that's on essentials. And the last one. Coffee, we don't do coffee. We're working on it, that's a very big feature request, but no. Okay, so now I see some messages on the chat. This is all a joke, it's all free. So now you're all wondering, but wait, why am I paying a subscription? And it's all rational. That is normal, that's actually the spirit where we wanted to end. ⁓ Speaker 7: you Speaker 1: That is the model changing. So with that strong overvalue proposition, why would anyone want to use ICALS anymore? So Essential is very generous, but as you see, it is not everything. There are restrictions. First, some features are completely excluded. And this is a very important bucket, of course. First, you have integrations, APIs, and the MCP that Nikita has demoed to you bit earlier. All of that is excluded from the scope of essentials. If you want to build on top of SPT ball, you upgrade. If you're paying a subscription to another vendor, that is amazing. You are now on a path to be able to upgrade to a SPT ball too. Parent-child setup is not included. That's a more complex setup. Owner portal is of course not included. There are many features that are available for you on the mogul plan to support you on becoming a great property management business. Smart devices, no smart lock automation are not included, no thermostat scheduling, no device dashboard. You will need to upgrade to professional or mobile. And direct booking for now are excluded from Essentials. This will be coming later. Sites will always be a paid option, a paid plan option. Then we have some features that exist on Essentials. but we'll be having limitations and constraints. The first one is probably the most important. That's going to be support. Support for Essentials will be through AI chat with a very smart smarty, which is a very first class citizen for a support organization and community, which is a fantastic channel to talk to the entire company. I want to say, by the way, membership has benefits and we always value our paid plan customers for whenever they need assistance from us. The messaging automation, that's a big one. On essentials, you will have only three automated messages windows. That is booking confirmation on your reservation. That's messages based on check-in and check-out. ⁓ That's really going to be focused for messages sent from the booking confirmation, until the day of the check-out. Each message must also include a link to the guest portal, and that guest portal will be an opportunity for upsells and ancillary revenue. So on the plus side, we are aligned on this. We are aligned on getting you more traffic to your guest portal to create app sales across your OTAs. But if you want full control and full messaging sequences, that is on our paid plan. Last is AI suggested replies. There will be a generous allocation of 10 drafts per week. That is going to be limited if AI communication is, of course, a part of what you operate that will be on a paid plan. Last but not least. There are also features where we may charge a fee, and that fee will be more expensive on essentials. And that's how we keep essential subscription free while still offering real functionality. The first one is the dynamic pricing, which is available at $15 per property per month. On paid plan, it is included. And you can also use integration on those paid plans. So if dynamic pricing is essential, probably should be, the subscription plan is a better deal. Upsells carry a 10 % processing fee compared to 7 on paid plans and pay your own team, which is at 1.5 % on paid plan is moved to 2.5 % for essentials. Triple insurance, on essentials you earn cash back rather than cash payouts. That means those funds accumulate in a balance for payments to wordless payable rather than direct transfers to your bank account. So that's the answer to the question. Why would I stay on a paid plan? And the answer is simple. If you rely on integrations, API, and now soon you rely on MCPs, smart devices, direct bookings, and owner management tools, along with full messaging automation, you are now running a professional operation that needs professional tooling. That's OK. And you will remain very, very special to us. Essentials, replace. a connected tooling abyss, a connected void, and for them, every single thing on this plan is more than they ever had before. That is a great way to get started by lowering the level of the entry point. We made the product easier. We made the product more usable, more discoverable. It does not matter what it costs. If the product is hard to use, we are opening it up for the next generation of software development with MCP servers and AI first application. You can now build on top of a SPT ball like never before and it's becoming personal. And lastly, we made it for all with a lower entry point for everyone to join in where you're not asked to pay before seeing value. And there is a simple assumption behind it all. People who start using software tend to use more software. They connect one channel, then they connect two. They automate three messages, but they want 10. They see the occupancy data. They want more dynamic pricing that they control. They manage a loan. They want smart locks. They want a team. They want more direct bookings. And they want more owner reporting. And that's what we mean by accelerating access. We don't want to make software available. We want to make it inevitable. And that's the second bad joke of the day. OK, there will be more product updates from our connectivity team. Thank you very much for your attention. Now there are actual people that have fantastic things to be talking to you about. Marina? Go ahead, you have some great announcements. Speaker 8: Hi, PR. Super excited about. Speaker 4: the essential standard that we're launching. So let's get started with connectivity update. Speaker 8: We reach Speaker 4: Premier Plus status of Booking.com. We were already at their highest partner level and this is basically the new version of that. But what's more interesting is what's happening behind the scenes. Because over the past few months, we've been working really closely with Booking.com team, doing workshops together, getting feedback on our product and also sharing what we're seeing from hosts with them. So it's very much a two-way relationship. They're helping us improve what we've built and we're helping them understand what hosts actually need. And we're already seeing things come out of that. So for example, last year we were the first property management software to bring booking.com payment solutions to our hosts. And we're now working closely with them on things like requests to book and improving the onboarding. One example that I'm really excited about is new listings promotions. We know that today listings created through property management software, they don't get access to that, which makes it harder for hosts to get their first bookings. That's something that we pushed on with booking.com and they're now working with us to bring that into hospitable. And we're working to be the first ones to roll it out to our hosts. So yeah, this isn't just a badge. It's a much closer way of working together to build a better experience for our hosts. Now, I know a lot of you have been asking about it in the chat. Let's get into verbal official update. We onboarded our second group of verbal pilot users and it's been a strong start. We'll be onboarding a third group next week. Most hosts are up and running quickly, while others need a little bit more guidance, more help, which is exactly what we expected. We're also seeing that not all hosts are in the same place. Speaker 1: dates. Speaker 4: Some hosts we know are ready to jump in early, even knowing that this is new integration and there might be a quick few bumps here and there. While we know that other hosts, they run larger operations and they prefer something more stable and proven before they switch. We want to make sure that we're onboarding the right people at the right time. So next week, we'll send out a survey to understand how ready you are so we can onboard you at the right time and with the right level of support. Speaker 1: So. Speaker 4: So those are my updates from Verbo. Next, I'm inviting Abby to stage to talk about taxes. Close, it's Brandon, but that's okay. ⁓ So I'm gonna jump in to talk about tax remittance. And the reason why it's not Abby is because tax remittance actually affects a lot more now. So it's not just direct premium, it's also upsells. And as merchant of record for Verbo official, we will be managing tax remittance as well. So just wanted to highlight a few areas that we have been working towards for months now to be able to actually remit. So I just wanted to point those out. So now officially we do remit state and local pair sales tax in Louisiana. We do the state sales tax in Maryland. In Missouri, we do the state and local sales tax. And then in New Hampshire, which was months in the making, we actually do the meals and rooms tax. ⁓ We are expanding to the local jurisdictions as well. So I just highlighted a few areas such as Alabama. We've recently added both shores. California, we are working to expand to all of the cities that we can. So currently we're in Alameda, Palo Alto, Sacramento, and San Diego. So I know that that's a big area that we're trying to expand in as well. Colorado is another area. Florida, we just added Hillsborough County. And then in Texas, we also added, I believe it is, yeah, San Antonio. So generally we are posting our updates in our help articles as well as in the community. We are gonna try to be a little bit more frequent with our updates as we expand, because we are working to expand much more rapidly. So just keep an eye out and we will continue to expand. Like I said, it looks like we have two states left and I'm working to make sure we can turn this entire map colored. So just keep an eye out for more updates. And I think it is over to Emily actually for Mogul. Speaker 1: Yep. Speaker 4: Thank you. All right. Super quick update for me today. And really it's more of a reminder than anything. Today is April 1st. So this is your reminder that March statements and invoices are ready to publish. You can publish those. And if you have your bank account connected to your business, which we'd encourage you all to do, you can be scheduling owner payouts and issuing owner invoices that can be paid or paid out directly through the owner portal as well. So friendly reminder. And if you don't have any of that set up or if you're not on the mogul plan yet and you want to learn more, You can go to that QR code or that link. I will drop it in the chat and you can learn a little bit more about how we facilitate owner payouts and payments on your behalf so you never have to worry about it again. Now I'll pass off to Andrew for a few more updates on operations. Speaker 2: Yep, I've got the last updates from the company and then we'll get to Q &A. So on operations, the task app, still very new. now just last two town halls ago it was launched. So about four weeks in, we're closing in on about $50,000 of cleanings paid through the app. I think the most impactful change that we did since the last town hall is we made sure that a task or a job when you assign it, even if your teammate does not do the acceptance or the declining of the task, it still shows up on their calendar. So that's what you're seeing in the image there. Yeah, we knew that was the right take. That's a lot of your, I think your teammates, they want to auto accept tasks. We now make them as if they've been accepted. So they're on the schedule and they don't get missed. ⁓ We now are having push notifications working in the app. It's not an app on the app store. It is a web app, but we actually help you when you first log in on a device to add it. or basically install it on your phone so you can get push notifications. So there's nice instructions that are devices specific, sorry, helping your teammates get set up on the new tasks app and make sure that they get reminded of upcoming jobs. We made it now possible to sign in via your phone number. So by SMS rather than just email, I think that's gonna help us in a lot of areas outside of our primary market in the US where SMS is just much more common. So your teammates can now log in by their phone number, things that are coming up next. multiple payment accounts. So if you have different bank accounts for different properties and you need to pay out through those, that's actually internally live now. We're just doing some testing on that. So that's going to rolling out very soon. And you'll now be able to pay your teammates out through many different bank accounts. We're to be working on sharing a task with another teammate. If you want to have multiple cleaners on the same task, as well as transferring a task. If you have like a manager of your cleaning team, for example, and they need to be reassigning tasks, we're going to make that possible very soon. as well as the ability to set a payment schedule. So if you want to pay out bi-weekly or monthly, for example, you can do that. If you haven't gotten it set up yet, all you have to do is point your teammates to tasks.hospitable.com and they can basically get started and follow all the in-app instructions to get set up. And with that, I think we are done. Speaker 5: Perfect. OK, thank you very much, Andrew. OK, yeah, so we have some time here for some Q &A from the audience. So if you do have a question that you'd like to ask us on stage, now is your chance. So if you'd like to come on stage, you can go down to the React button at the bottom of your screen and click the Raise Hand. And then once a couple of people have raised their hands, I'm going to invite you on stage one by one, at which point I'll ask you to unmute yourselves so we can hear you ask your question. So don't be shy, folks. We have a good. seven minutes left. So happy to take some questions. Okay, Colin, hello. Inviting you on stage. Do you have a question for us, Colin? have to unmute first. Speaker 1: Yeah, we don't hear you. You need to unmute yourself. and other people can meanwhile raise their hands. Speaker 5: and that's a very cool hand right here. Speaker 1: questions. ⁓ Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, let's try Ravi instead. Hello, Ravi. Speaker 1: Hi. How can we help you today? Speaker 3: Can you hear me? Yeah, so first question. I'm trying to figure out whether the task could be like assigned to yourself. Like if there's something that I want to have it assigned to myself. that is that possible with the task measurement? Speaker 2: Yep, if you want to add yourself as a teammate in hospitable, you can have that role as well in addition to being a basically user of the property management software. You can also be a teammate. You can also use the task app. Yep. Speaker 3: ⁓ OK, got it. Yeah, because I did not add myself as a team. I was just trying to find it. OK, got it. Makes sense. And another quick question is, ⁓ I don't have a computer in front of me, but I think it's under the guest portal. There's a reminder to guests to do their activities, like signing the agreement and all that good stuff before the reservation is accepted. there is a reminder section in there, which after playing around, I figured out that if the direct booking reservation is pending, it does not send out those messages. It's only sent out after the reservation is accepted. So I was kind of confused because all those tasks reminders are there. Seems like the default messages, it looks like they are set. to remind guests to complete those tasks, but yet, you the reservation has to be accepted, ⁓ where I think they have to verify their identity and a question about, you know, there's a question about why they're making this trip. Those two questions seems to, needs to be answered, ⁓ and then only it gets accepted. And then those automated task reminders to guests are sent. ⁓ I do understand that the hospital does sent ⁓ automated messages by itself, which is great. But if I wanted to change a little bit of languages in the ⁓ messaging, that task reminder section seems to be a good tool, ⁓ it doesn't send out automatically. Or even when there are those two tasks, like where the guest needs to answer, what the trip is for, and also the verification before the verification is completed. Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I've got your feedback. ⁓ We are going to be looking at that. think definitely in Q2, we're starting to really start to hone in on what we get done. Guest Portal keeps coming up a lot, and I think we're going to be looking at that flow, not just for direct bookings, but for all platforms, and giving you more access to those onboarding questions. ⁓ What mode of communication would you prefer to communicate on? maybe what temperature would you like the thermostat to be when you arrive? There's a lot of neat things that we can do to kind of make that feel more personalized and special. And yeah, I'm hearing from you that it could help you with getting the things you need at the right time. feedback card, thank you. Speaker 5: Thank you very much for the questions, Robbie. Okay, moving on to ⁓ Fiona, welcoming you on stage, Fiona. Hello. Hi there, Fiona. It looks like you've been unmuted, but we can't hear you right now. Speaker 4: Is that better? Speaker 5: Yes, we can hear you. Speaker 4: Hi there. Hi, I'm from the UK. I'm a new user. I just wondered if you can help me. I'm struggling to use the task portal. Whenever I click on it, it says to send a verification code, but I don't get a code. Speaker 2: Okay. ⁓ Yeah, it probably means that you're not a teammate. For security reasons, we're not actually allowed to tell you whether or not you have an account that would allow an attacker to basically enumerate accounts. It's kind of out there, but we're not allowed to tell you. So unfortunately, it's not a great user experience, but all software is going to do this if they have a nice secure setting. you need to be added as a teammate. So if you go into hospitable and you go to the operations teammates, you add ⁓ a role for yourself as maybe a cleaner or a maintenance person. Anyone that has an email there, and now SMS as well, a phone number, you will be able to log in. If you're not, please create a support ticket. Speaker 4: Okay, and then does, so ⁓ one last question. On the devices, I can't see that you guys use Timostat, which is like a UK version of Thermostats. Is that ever going to be introduced or is there a way around it? Speaker 2: There's not a way around it. ⁓ What you can do is feedback.hospital.com. There's a lot of devices that are on the staging list. ⁓ We work with different integrators. Sometimes we have to wait for the integrator to have that. But we can, based on the number of people that are uploading and requesting that integration, we can escalate those to the integrator and see what we can do. Speaker 4: Okay, all right, thank you. Speaker 5: Thank you very much, Fiona. OK, we're almost at time, but we'll try and squeeze in a couple more questions, think. ⁓ Nisa, welcome to you on stage. Hello. Hey there, do you have a question for me? Speaker 4: Yes, I do. Thanks for being so awesome. You guys are great. I love your system. I've referred you guys out and everybody I've referred you guys to is happy. I love that you're always updating. My question is, on the mobile app, I cannot access the tasks under the calendar to look at them. So I have to be in front of my computer. Did I miss that? Is that changing or is this something you're going to be adding to the mobile app? Speaker 2: I hope that's not true. believe you, but I'm very embarrassed if that's true. So I'm going to go look at that after this call. Speaker 4: I'm in there right now with you. When I get in there, doesn't give me the option to show my tasks for my cleaners. I always have to go to my computer. when I'm not in computer, I'm not able to go in and see. Speaker 2: Okay. Yeah, you've got a couple of different places you can view it. mean, obviously we're going to make it work in the task calendar. But you can also go, there's like a brand new ⁓ table that we use to show it and kind of different statuses, which I think are super helpful. If you go to operations and tasks, I'm talking about the new UI. ⁓ There's four different tabs that you can see your upcoming tasks, tasks that need attention, past tasks, which we never used to show you. used to hide those. ⁓ As well as in progress tasks. Nick. is. Speaker 5: ⁓ Nisa, there is a very subtle button in that corner. It's very easy to miss. The very corner, top right corner of your mobile app calendar, it can switch to a task view. Have a go. Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm trying to look. Speaker 2: That's where we hide the right sidebar on mobile. Speaker 4: So what I mean, oh, up with a little home button up there. Is that what you're Oh, that's where it's at. Okay. Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, I know, we hear you. Speaker 4: Okay, so ⁓ yeah, but no, it's still just showing the reservation, but it's not showing who I signed to it. Speaker 5: ⁓ No, so this is what I was talking about. We're having issues with our infrastructure right now. Things are a little slower than we would like them to Speaker 4: Oh, there it goes. Yep, you're right. Thank you. Speaker 1: Yep. So that's a timeout out of the cloud provider that we should not be named because it's basically not something. Speaker 4: Sometimes on the mobile app, when I write a long message, the send button completely disappears unless I shorten the message. Is this something that you've ever heard happening? Speaker 1: Is that a recent occurrence? Like yesterday? Speaker 4: ⁓ no, not like yesterday. Probably, I haven't, it hasn't happened, I haven't tried anything in the last few days, so maybe that's something you updated. Speaker 1: Okay, because I think that's definitely one of the issues that Nick and the team have been working on. And Pedro in particular. Speaker 5: That sounds new, I will type it out right now to the front end team to. Speaker 1: I think there has been a few issues like that that have been generated with, for example, the button actually mutes, like it's in very muted tone, so it's not really visible. Speaker 4: It's too long of a message. It won't scroll down to the send button. It's sorting your message for it to appear on the mobile app. Speaker 1: I think we've had similar reports. This is not the first time I'm having it. So thank you for advocating and for that because there is definitely someone on the front-end team that is thinking and investigating this already. Thank you very much. Speaker 4: Thank you so much. Speaker 1: And yeah, I think we're going to bring this to an end, and it's fantastic thing because we have fantastic end because it's basically driven by customer feedback. So we are going to make more of that, asking you for basically what is the strategic thing that you would like us to be spending time on. It doesn't have to be those big features. I think the job that the product team is working on right now is really having a sense of polish, ⁓ fixing those kind of nail-bitters, the quality of life improvements. that get in the way, gets frustrated, but are often too small to get reported. And that's really the thing. We can know about the loud and big problems. And we obviously are working on those. What we want to attack is actually those kind of very frequent error messages that are poorly written or those kind of not quite adequate comments or user interface points. don't know. Andrew, you wanted to say something? No? OK, so I continue. I just really don't want to cut you off if you meant something. yeah, what you heard from us, we keep focusing on the user experience. That's something that we want to be differentiating a lot on. Second, you have an industry first, which is an MCP that allows you to access data from your AI assistant. And that allows you to vibe code your own application. So if you have a feature request, you can now give it a try to solve it for yourself. And we'll have more later for the creators of those applications because we want you to be participating in the hospitable ecosystem. And then third, a new plan, Essentials, that might not be a fit for you. And I'm quite happy with it. ⁓ But it's helping get more software connected hosts. You can join us on same day, same place in two weeks for another Town Hall. What is going to be the topic of the next town hall, Andrew? Speaker 2: Do we talk about it? Speaker 1: you on this part? Well, we're going to talk about the strategy of a split-a-ball is simple. It's a great platform, great payments, great people. We're going to be talking about that third part a little bit more in two weeks. So that's going to be helping owners and helping property managers in particular to be in touch. I hope that's going to be the subject. If there's not last minute changes, it can always happen. Thank you. I will take plenty of medication. Thank you so very much. Have a great and fantastic day. Bye bye.
