- 0:21Speaker 1: morning from Larson Keeney Home Services. They won the only
- 0:25Speaker 1: Andrew Larson of Larson Keeney Home Services. Andrew, how you
- 0:27Speaker 1: doing this week?
- 0:29Speaker 2: Just as good as always, my friend.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Just doing absolutely fantastic. Where did I see you recently? Oh,
- 0:36Speaker 1: I was watching YouTube and I saw you and your
- 0:41Speaker 1: buddy doing the, why am I drawing a blank on?
- 0:44Speaker 2: Josh.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Why am I drawing a blank on you and Josh?
- 0:47Speaker 2: It's okay. He's not quite as cool as me.
- 0:50Speaker 1: We do have to get him on the show one
- 0:51Speaker 1: of these days because I saw the YouTube. You guys
- 0:55Speaker 1: are standing, I think he's like in the road and
- 0:58Speaker 1: And that stuff, you guys are talking about some fun
- 1:00Speaker 1: stuff and doing fun stuff. Maybe you have to have
- 1:02Speaker 1: him join us one of these mornings.
- 1:03Speaker 2: It's a great idea.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Yeah, just to check in. Hey, I'm looking out the
- 1:06Speaker 1: window here. I know the leaves here in Madison are
- 1:09Speaker 1: currently green, but we do talk to Kevin Hamm of
- 1:12Speaker 1: Hamm's Arbor Care. And last week, he started noticing north
- 1:15Speaker 1: of town, starting to see some fall colors. And correct
- 1:18Speaker 1: me if I'm wrong, Andrew, fall is inevitable.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Isn't it? It happens every year, and the worst part
- 1:23Speaker 2: about fall is what comes after it, but we're not
- 1:25Speaker 2: going to go that far today. That's not what we're
- 1:27Speaker 2: going to talk about. You know what I wanted to
- 1:29Speaker 2: talk about fall for? I mean, look, football's on. The
- 1:33Speaker 2: Packers play this weekend. The Badgers played last weekend, didn't
- 1:38Speaker 2: go the way we wanted, and we don't need to
- 1:39Speaker 2: get into it, but I think there's a lot of
- 1:42Speaker 2: good things happening. We just happened to play Notre Dame.
- 1:46Speaker 2: They're really, really good. But I was back up in
- 1:50Speaker 2: my hometown area of Baldwinwoodville, if anybody knows where that is.
- 1:55Speaker 2: It's northwestern Wisconsin, close to Hudson, only 30-ish miles from St. Paul.
- 2:02Speaker 2: And I had my annual fantasy football draft. So it's
- 2:06Speaker 2: my annual, I call it my annual class reunion. So
- 2:10Speaker 2: I get to go back and hang out with a
- 2:13Speaker 2: dozen of my buddies from high school. And it's fun.
- 2:18Speaker 2: But on the way home, look, I drove up there
- 2:22Speaker 2: from here and drove back in the same day. So
- 2:26Speaker 2: it was a lot of driving. So on the way back,
- 2:28Speaker 2: I was like, man, I just cannot drive on the
- 2:30Speaker 2: interstate for three hours again. I can't do it. There's
- 2:34Speaker 2: some times where I'd rather take four hours and just
- 2:36Speaker 2: take the scenic back roads. So I did. And I
- 2:40Speaker 2: noticed a lot of trees turning color, leaves blowing across
- 2:44Speaker 2: the road. And I'm like, man, it is that time.
- 2:47Speaker 2: It is that time. We're going to start seeing the
- 2:49Speaker 2: leaves turn color and, and this isn't a urgency you
- 2:53Speaker 2: better call, but let's be honest. If you're thinking about it,
- 2:58Speaker 2: it is getting to be that time. We've had a
- 3:01Speaker 2: fantastic year for, for installing gutter shutter and helping a
- 3:05Speaker 2: lot of people get to the point where they don't
- 3:07Speaker 2: have to worry about it anymore. And we're busy right
- 3:09Speaker 2: now and we'll get busier as the fall comes. So look,
- 3:13Speaker 2: This is a put it up and don't worry about
- 3:16Speaker 2: your gutters anymore type of thing. And you're probably not
- 3:19Speaker 2: thinking about it right now, but heaven forbid the Packers
- 3:22Speaker 2: or the Badgers or, you know, God help you if
- 3:25Speaker 2: you're a Bears fan and you're listening. It is what
- 3:28Speaker 2: it is. I get it. We're close. You know, I
- 3:30Speaker 2: got some buddies who are Bears fan and I don't
- 3:32Speaker 2: tease them too bad. Always hard to tease them last year.
- 3:36Speaker 2: But look, if you're watching the game and it's raining
- 3:40Speaker 2: and you're overflowing, the last thing you want to have
- 3:42Speaker 2: to do is worry about that stuff. Worry about getting
- 3:44Speaker 2: out and cleaning out your gutters. Worry about your foundation.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Stop having to worry about that stuff. We put this
- 3:52Speaker 2: product up. We guarantee your gutters are never going to
- 3:55Speaker 2: overflow for water volume or clogging. They're never going to leak.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Ice or snow is never going to damage them or
- 4:02Speaker 2: pull them off your house. Any of those things happen.
- 4:05Speaker 2: We will fix it. We will clean it or we
- 4:07Speaker 2: will replace them for free. I don't care what company
- 4:11Speaker 2: you call, what product it is. There is absolutely nobody
- 4:14Speaker 2: else that will give you that sort of peace of mind.
- 4:18Speaker 2: That's the way we've always done it. We have a
- 4:21Speaker 2: model that we service to a fault. And what servicing
- 4:25Speaker 2: to a fault means that sometimes we service stuff for
- 4:27Speaker 2: free that wasn't our fault. But sometimes we understand that
- 4:31Speaker 2: stuff happens. Mr. Homeowner runs over the downspout extension, happens
- 4:36Speaker 2: all the time. Is that our fault?
- 4:38Speaker 1: No.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Do we fix it? Yeah, pretty much.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yep.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Every single time, just because we care. And once you
- 4:44Speaker 2: get gutter shutter or a roof, ultimate roofing solution or
- 4:47Speaker 2: an ultrathetic solution from us, you're part of our family
- 4:50Speaker 2: and we take care of you. So if it's something
- 4:52Speaker 2: you're considering or are considering now after listening to me,
- 4:56Speaker 2: just give us a call and get a free estimate.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Andrew, as you mentioned that phone number, I did want
- 5:01Speaker 1: to ask you a little bit more about gutter shutter
- 5:03Speaker 1: as well. A telephone number, great day to get that
- 5:04Speaker 1: free estimate and have the team from Larson Keeney Home
- 5:07Speaker 1: Services come out 608-535-4343. That's 535-4343 for Larson Keeney Home Services.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Sorry to interrupt you, Andrew, but I did want to
- 5:16Speaker 1: ask about, and I think this is important as people say, well,
- 5:19Speaker 1: you know, maybe they've had different types of of gutter
- 5:23Speaker 1: protection in the past or other caps or screens or
- 5:27Speaker 1: these types of things, gutter shutters is uniquely different, isn't it?
- 5:31Speaker 2: It's very different. So, I mean, look, we're going to
- 5:34Speaker 2: start off by, here's what we know. In order to
- 5:37Speaker 2: give you those guarantees that I just said, no clogging, leaking, overflowing,
- 5:41Speaker 2: ice damage, you name it, fix it, clean it, replace
- 5:42Speaker 2: it for free. This is a whole system, right? It's
- 5:45Speaker 2: not a cover. It's not a screen. It's not a,
- 5:49Speaker 2: you name it. We've seen it. We've taken it out.
- 5:51Speaker 2: People always... Try, typically try something cheaper. I can do
- 5:57Speaker 2: that myself. I can put this foam brush in my gutter.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I can put this sponge in my gutter, you know,
- 6:02Speaker 2: cause they sell stuff like that and they work great
- 6:05Speaker 2: for germinating seeds and growing stuff in your gutters. Been there,
- 6:09Speaker 2: done that, seen it all. Look, there are some screen
- 6:12Speaker 2: systems that can work, no doubt, but eventually the screen
- 6:15Speaker 2: clogs and then the screen has to be cleaned, which
- 6:18Speaker 2: kind of defeats the entire purpose of of having maintenance-free gutters.
- 6:22Speaker 2: So we're going to start by taking off your existing gutters.
- 6:25Speaker 2: If you've got issues where water's going in spots where
- 6:29Speaker 2: you don't like it, look, it's a perfect opportunity. We
- 6:31Speaker 2: can redesign. We're not going to just replace the gutters,
- 6:34Speaker 2: put the downspouts exactly where they were. We're going to
- 6:36Speaker 2: check the grade in your yard. We're going to make
- 6:38Speaker 2: sure that the water will flow away from your house
- 6:40Speaker 2: when it comes off the gutters. We see it way
- 6:43Speaker 2: too many times where the gutters are... Oh. their basement
- 6:48Speaker 2: because the water's coming up downspout goes back to the
- 6:50Speaker 2: same spot so this is an entire system everything is
- 6:53Speaker 2: covered by us it is a one and done you
- 6:56Speaker 2: get it and you don't worry about it ever again
- 6:59Speaker 2: with the six inch uh our larger six inch gutters
- 7:04Speaker 2: um we have nothing has i could look i could
- 7:07Speaker 2: ramble on and on and on and on forever but
- 7:09Speaker 2: the bottom line is it is a big strong maintenance-free
- 7:13Speaker 2: gutter that you never have to touch again.
- 7:15Speaker 1: And you use that term maintenance-free, and I want people
- 7:17Speaker 1: to understand what that means. You're not just talking about,
- 7:20Speaker 1: you know, these are going to hold up and they're,
- 7:23Speaker 1: you know, you don't have to worry about leaves getting
- 7:24Speaker 1: in them. Not only that part of them, they literally
- 7:27Speaker 1: require no work on your part. It's not like, you know,
- 7:29Speaker 1: think about like we talked a little bit about like
- 7:31Speaker 1: screen systems and other things. folks that haven't maybe installed
- 7:34Speaker 1: those in the past, climbing up on their ladder, rather
- 7:37Speaker 1: than cleaning the gutter, they're cleaning off the screen or
- 7:40Speaker 1: the filter, anything like that. Literally, maintenance-free means maintenance-free, like
- 7:44Speaker 1: this is no longer a thing you need to even
- 7:47Speaker 1: think about because it's covered and it does all the
- 7:51Speaker 1: work for you.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Correct. But I would actually say this. To say that
- 7:57Speaker 2: it's never going to require maintenance, some of it does. Sometimes,
- 8:01Speaker 2: depending on the type of trees, but it's not maintenance
- 8:04Speaker 2: for you. It's maintenance for us. You pick up the phone,
- 8:09Speaker 2: we call, we come take care of it. You don't
- 8:12Speaker 2: have to get up there. Look, look, we even have
- 8:16Speaker 2: ladder accidents and we're professionals. So the average homeowner shouldn't
- 8:21Speaker 2: be on a ladder. It's just, you know, anything more
- 8:25Speaker 2: than like changing a light bulb. It's just not safe.
- 8:28Speaker 2: And when you start putting ladders up around the house,
- 8:30Speaker 2: you're setting them on rocks, you're setting them on uneven ground,
- 8:33Speaker 2: like bad things happen. I think I'd mentioned a few
- 8:35Speaker 2: years ago, busted my leg up having surgery. Surgeon found
- 8:38Speaker 2: out who I was and he was like, man, I
- 8:39Speaker 2: should be on your show because I make a living
- 8:43Speaker 2: off of people cleaning their gutters. Ladder accidents in the fall,
- 8:47Speaker 2: he goes, man, it's bad. Nobody should ever be on
- 8:50Speaker 2: a ladder unless they're a professional. And even at that,
- 8:53Speaker 2: we see those accidents too. So I can't stress enough
- 8:57Speaker 2: the amount of people that I've heard that have had
- 8:58Speaker 2: debilitating injuries, deaths, like it's bad. And I'm not trying
- 9:02Speaker 2: to scare you, but it's just, it's just facts that
- 9:06Speaker 2: it's dangerous.
- 9:07Speaker 1: And one of the things, Andrew, a couple of years ago,
- 9:09Speaker 1: I still remember you telling this story and, and, and
- 9:12Speaker 1: I think it's, it's worth reiterating because that had never
- 9:14Speaker 1: dawned on me before. I think a lot of times
- 9:16Speaker 1: we think about injuries of, you know, I've got like
- 9:18Speaker 1: a two story house or things like that. You pointed
- 9:21Speaker 1: out a lot of times, and it may have been
- 9:22Speaker 1: part of that conversation you had with your surgeon is, People,
- 9:25Speaker 1: because if they've got like a single story house or
- 9:28Speaker 1: maybe they're just, I'll just do the lower level, they
- 9:31Speaker 1: assume that they're safe. That fall from 10, 15 feet,
- 9:35Speaker 1: it can be quite traumatic is a lot of these injuries.
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's not you. I think a lot of us think
- 9:40Speaker 1: of like second story falls. A lot of times it's
- 9:43Speaker 1: the person that's that first floor just thinking, oh, this
- 9:45Speaker 1: is something I can handle myself and not realizing that
- 9:48Speaker 1: is that is super dangerous as well.
- 9:52Speaker 2: It's very dangerous. And the other thing is, is that
- 9:54Speaker 2: if you're doing first story, a lot of times people
- 9:56Speaker 2: are less careful.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Look, if you're on second story. a, we're not going
- 10:01Speaker 2: to hear about your injury because you're probably not going
- 10:03Speaker 2: to make it if you fall off the roof there.
- 10:06Speaker 2: But on first story, people are typically less careful and
- 10:09Speaker 2: they just get up on the roof and they bend
- 10:10Speaker 2: down and they just start cleaning them out. And unless
- 10:12Speaker 2: you're like a parkour champion and you can just tuck
- 10:15Speaker 2: and roll when you hit the ground, which I know
- 10:18Speaker 2: I can. I tuck and roll like a cinder block.
- 10:22Speaker 2: It's very ungraceful. You're going to get injured. And yes,
- 10:28Speaker 2: I have had customers that unfortunately have called us after
- 10:31Speaker 2: the fact where they've gotten severely injured in the prime
- 10:34Speaker 2: of their retirement, getting ready to go golf every day
- 10:37Speaker 2: and do the great things in life. And they screwed
- 10:39Speaker 2: up their ankles, the bottoms of their feet, their back.
- 10:42Speaker 2: It's just not worth it. And again, I'm not here
- 10:44Speaker 2: to scare people. That's not what I'm trying to do.
- 10:48Speaker 2: It's more for me, it's protecting your home, making sure
- 10:51Speaker 2: you have a gutter system that the water comes, it
- 10:52Speaker 2: goes in and water goes out on the bottom and
- 10:55Speaker 2: you don't have to touch it. But the byproduct of
- 10:58Speaker 2: that is that the homeowner does not have to get
- 11:00Speaker 2: up on the ladder and clean out those gutters. The
- 11:02Speaker 2: homeowner can stay safe, stay on the ground. Look, there's
- 11:05Speaker 2: plenty of other things you could be doing. Yes, there are.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Mow the grass yourself. But getting up on the ladder
- 11:11Speaker 2: and cleaning out the gutters is just not something that Basically,
- 11:14Speaker 2: I don't care who you are. I don't care how
- 11:15Speaker 2: young you are. It's just not something that you want
- 11:17Speaker 2: to do. So, I mean, now is the time. Give
- 11:20Speaker 2: us a call. Get an estimate. Look, it's a free estimate.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Whether you buy today, tomorrow, never buy, it doesn't matter.
- 11:25Speaker 2: At least you know what it would cost you to
- 11:28Speaker 2: have it done.
- 11:29Speaker 1: All you got to do this morning, pick up the phone,
- 11:31Speaker 1: give them a call, 608-535-4343 for Larson Keeney Home Services. Again,
- 11:36Speaker 1: their number, 608-535-4343. Online, LarsonKeeneyHomeServices.com. Of course, if you go
- 11:44Speaker 1: and still go to LarsonHomeServices.com, that'll still get you to
- 11:46Speaker 1: that same website as well. The important thing to do, though,
- 11:48Speaker 1: this morning, give them a call, 608-535-4343. Andrew, it's always
- 11:53Speaker 1: fantastic chatting with you. Thanks for all the great work
- 11:55Speaker 1: you do, and we'll talk real soon, my friend.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Talk to you next week.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Andrew Larson, Larson Home Services. Kevin Hamm comes your way
- 12:01Speaker 1: next year on 1310 WIBA.
