- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawkerel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:22Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:24Speaker 1: the Hawkerel Energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:27Speaker 1: Happy Wednesday, Welcome back to another episode. We are focusing
- 0:31Speaker 1: on the holiday season this episode because we are just
- 0:36Speaker 1: a week away from December, which is so crazy that
- 0:40Speaker 1: we're at the end of twenty twenty five. And you
- 0:43Speaker 1: guys know that I always try and make at least
- 0:45Speaker 1: one episode dedicated to the holiday season. Typically I do
- 0:48Speaker 1: a episode about like getting into like the holiday spirit,
- 0:52Speaker 1: how can we prep for it. I also love to
- 0:54Speaker 1: talk about like holiday gift guides and all that. So
- 0:56Speaker 1: I thought I would just make this episode all in
- 0:58Speaker 1: one because I feel like I could definitely just kind
- 1:00Speaker 1: of chat my ear off when it comes to things
- 1:03Speaker 1: to do for December, kind of like a mini bucket
- 1:06Speaker 1: list of things that I personally want to do just
- 1:08Speaker 1: to really get myself in the festive season and truly
- 1:11Speaker 1: just enjoy December to the max, along with sharing some
- 1:15Speaker 1: gift ideas because I love just to share some feedback
- 1:19Speaker 1: and some ideas that I have that I'm going to
- 1:20Speaker 1: be either gifting my loved ones or just ideas if
- 1:24Speaker 1: you guys are kind of like in a rut and
- 1:25Speaker 1: don't really know what to get your significant other or
- 1:29Speaker 1: your family members, whatever the case may be. So I
- 1:32Speaker 1: have created gift guides and I'm actually posting them today.
- 1:35Speaker 1: So I will make sure to put the link in
- 1:38Speaker 1: this description for anyone that's interested in some of the
- 1:40Speaker 1: things that I'm talking about in today's episode. But let's
- 1:44Speaker 1: get into today's holiday mood board, the bucket list, gift
- 1:48Speaker 1: guides and more. Okay, so for starters, you guys know
- 1:52Speaker 1: that I love to romanticize anything when it comes to
- 1:54Speaker 1: a new season. When it comes to my life in general,
- 1:57Speaker 1: I truly find it's the definition for being in the
- 2:00Speaker 1: best mood. Like you truly allow yourself to be your
- 2:04Speaker 1: happiest self when you romanticize the little things. Picture your
- 2:08Speaker 1: life as a movie. When it comes to the holidays.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I feel like there's so much stuff that you see
- 2:13Speaker 1: going on and like the holiday movies that you're like, Oh,
- 2:15Speaker 1: I wish I could do things like that in my
- 2:18Speaker 1: town during the holiday season. Well, you absolutely can. There's
- 2:21Speaker 1: ways to make yourself feel like you're living in a
- 2:24Speaker 1: movie by actually romanticizing them. So I'm going to share
- 2:27Speaker 1: twelve different things that I plan on doing this December
- 2:30Speaker 1: to really feel like I'm getting into the holiday season,
- 2:34Speaker 1: really having a good December, and just feeling like my
- 2:38Speaker 1: life is a Pinterest board. So the first one being,
- 2:40Speaker 1: and this is an obvious if you haven't decorated your
- 2:43Speaker 1: house yet, this is your sign to do so. Find
- 2:45Speaker 1: a mini Christmas tree, decorate your bedroom. If you don't
- 2:48Speaker 1: have a house, just put little decorations in your room.
- 2:51Speaker 1: If you have a home, make sure to get a
- 2:52Speaker 1: Christmas tree and decorate it, because it truly does feel
- 2:56Speaker 1: like Christmas in the holiday season when you actually decorate
- 3:00Speaker 1: your home and just add a little festive touch to it,
- 3:02Speaker 1: maybe it's adding some lights all that. It truly feels
- 3:06Speaker 1: so cozy having those little things set up in your home,
- 3:10Speaker 1: and it just brings so much joy and happiness. I
- 3:13Speaker 1: truly love having my Christmas tree up. I could have
- 3:15Speaker 1: it up all year round. I'm not even over exaggerating.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I find turning it on in the morning and just
- 3:21Speaker 1: seeing the house allt up. Having my fireplace on having
- 3:23Speaker 1: the stockings up like it's a feeling that cannot be described,
- 3:27Speaker 1: and I feel like it just makes the home feel
- 3:30Speaker 1: so much more cozy. I feel so happy with it
- 3:32Speaker 1: all on. So it's a small little detail, but it
- 3:35Speaker 1: does make a huge impact on how you feel going
- 3:38Speaker 1: into the holiday season. Another thing that I'm making a
- 3:40Speaker 1: non negotiable as part of my holiday December bucket list
- 3:44Speaker 1: is going to visit a holiday market. Wherever you live,
- 3:47Speaker 1: figure out where there's a holiday market going on. I'm
- 3:50Speaker 1: sure there's something going on that you can go attend
- 3:53Speaker 1: that has some cute, little, you know, Christmas shops that
- 3:56Speaker 1: you can go shop at. Maybe find some cute little
- 3:58Speaker 1: Christmas decorations Orristmas ornaments. Maybe you'll be able to find
- 4:02Speaker 1: some Christmas gifts that will inspire you to gift to
- 4:04Speaker 1: someone else. Get a cup of coffee while you're at it,
- 4:07Speaker 1: make it a whole experience. I'm actually doing this on
- 4:10Speaker 1: Sunday with my sister and Zach, which I'm very excited
- 4:13Speaker 1: about because it is the first day of vlog miss.
- 4:16Speaker 1: If you guys want to follow along, I am doing
- 4:18Speaker 1: it again like what I did last year, twelve days
- 4:20Speaker 1: of v log Miss where I'll also be doing twelve
- 4:23Speaker 1: days of giveaways.
- 4:24Speaker 2: So if you want to win a giveaway.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Please please please follow me on TikTok and Instagram because
- 4:29Speaker 1: I want to give back to you guys as well,
- 4:31Speaker 1: and we're going to be doing that on TikTok and Instagram,
- 4:34Speaker 1: so make sure you're following me there. But the start
- 4:36Speaker 1: to the vlog miss will be a very festive touch
- 4:39Speaker 1: by us going to a Christmas market, doing a little
- 4:42Speaker 1: bit of Christmas shopping all that, getting ourselves in that mood,
- 4:45Speaker 1: maybe getting some hot cocoa, all that, just doing all
- 4:47Speaker 1: the festive things. It's also fun to do this at
- 4:50Speaker 1: night when there is like a Christmas tree up and
- 4:52Speaker 1: there might be some like Christmas vibes going on when
- 4:56Speaker 1: it comes to like maybe a band's there to play,
- 4:58Speaker 1: or they have just like Christmas themed events going on,
- 5:02Speaker 1: anything like that. It's just so important to see what's
- 5:05Speaker 1: happening in your city and go attend it because it
- 5:07Speaker 1: really does get you in the holiday mood. So that
- 5:10Speaker 1: is an absolute non negotiable for me to go do
- 5:13Speaker 1: this holiday season. Another thing I love to do and
- 5:16Speaker 1: I did this last year as well, is make a
- 5:18Speaker 1: list in my phone of all the holiday movies that
- 5:20Speaker 1: I want to watch throughout December, because there is so
- 5:23Speaker 1: many good Christmas movies. I literally can't even watch all
- 5:26Speaker 1: of them. I know last year I didn't get to
- 5:28Speaker 1: finish my list. I think I had like three or
- 5:30Speaker 1: four movies that I still wanted to watch soon as
- 5:32Speaker 1: January hits. I'm just like not thinking about Christmas obviously,
- 5:35Speaker 1: I'm thinking about the new year. I'm thinking about my goals.
- 5:38Speaker 1: So I definitely want to try and get all the
- 5:40Speaker 1: movies out throughout December, whether it's watching too every weekend,
- 5:45Speaker 1: finding time to watch movies while I'm wrapping gifts, whatever
- 5:47Speaker 1: the case may be. But make a list of all
- 5:50Speaker 1: the Christmas movies that you want to watch this month. Again,
- 5:52Speaker 1: there's so many good ones that it's going to be
- 5:55Speaker 1: really hard to watch all of them. But some of
- 5:57Speaker 1: my non negotiables that I love to watch that I
- 5:59Speaker 1: have in my phone currently is I love The Grinch,
- 6:02Speaker 1: I love Santa Claus and watching like all the Santa
- 6:06Speaker 1: Claus movies. I think there's like three, and then Christmas
- 6:09Speaker 1: Vacation Home Alone ELF is a non negotible for me.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I still don't know how we don't have a second movie.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I wish Will Ferrell would do another one because it's
- 6:17Speaker 1: truly my favorite Christmas movie of all time. I watch
- 6:20Speaker 1: that every single year. I also love Christmas with the Cranks.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I also love the holiday movies. So those are just
- 6:27Speaker 1: a few that I can name right now that I'm
- 6:29Speaker 1: making a non negotiable to watch throughout December. But this
- 6:33Speaker 1: is your sign to go through all the movies that
- 6:34Speaker 1: you want to watch this December, because it is the
- 6:37Speaker 1: most important time to write a list and just make
- 6:40Speaker 1: sure you want to see every movie that you want
- 6:41Speaker 1: to watch. You would hate to get to January and
- 6:43Speaker 1: be like, oh my god, I forgot to watch this movie.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Like I love this movie. How did I forget it?
- 6:47Speaker 2: Blah blah blah.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Like just write in your phone, write the ones that
- 6:50Speaker 1: you love, and I promise you you'll probably be able
- 6:52Speaker 1: to watch all of them as long as you find
- 6:54Speaker 1: time throughout your weekend to turn.
- 6:56Speaker 2: It on again.
- 6:57Speaker 1: It's like an hour and a half or two hours
- 6:59Speaker 1: of your time, just like cozy up on the couch
- 7:01Speaker 1: watch your favorite movie, or if you're folding laundry or
- 7:05Speaker 1: trying to do something productive at the same time, whether
- 7:06Speaker 1: it's cleaning the house or whatever, cooking dinner together, turn
- 7:10Speaker 1: on a Christmas movie. It will get you in the
- 7:11Speaker 1: holiday spirit and again you'll be able to watch all
- 7:15Speaker 1: the movies that you want to watch before the end
- 7:17Speaker 1: of the year. I also want to be making a
- 7:18Speaker 1: lot of baking a priority this holiday season, because I
- 7:22Speaker 1: love so many holiday treats, especially during this time of
- 7:25Speaker 1: the year, Like I love cinnamon buns, I love sugar cookies.
- 7:29Speaker 1: One thing that I actually tried for the first time
- 7:32Speaker 1: last year that I'd never made, but I tried it
- 7:34Speaker 1: at a holiday party, which is that nutella Christmas tree.
- 7:37Speaker 1: It's almost like a croissant dough and then you put
- 7:41Speaker 1: nutella all over it and you wrap it like in
- 7:43Speaker 1: a Christmas tree, and then you put it in the
- 7:45Speaker 1: oven and it grows and you have like this stuffed
- 7:48Speaker 1: nutella croissant essentially, and it was so so good. So
- 7:52Speaker 1: I really want to attempt to make that myself. I've
- 7:54Speaker 1: seen a lot of people post like tutorials on TikTok
- 7:56Speaker 1: on how to make this, and I think it would
- 7:59Speaker 1: just be such a fun thing to do.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Again.
- 8:01Speaker 1: You could bake, you could watch a movie at the
- 8:02Speaker 1: same time. You can do this with your husband or boyfriend,
- 8:05Speaker 1: or you can do it with friends. Like such a
- 8:06Speaker 1: fun little thing to do at night. This is actually
- 8:09Speaker 1: the best time of the year to make the effort
- 8:10Speaker 1: of seeing your friends or spending time with your boyfriend
- 8:13Speaker 1: more of like doing cozy nights in just as simple
- 8:16Speaker 1: as baking together, watching a Christmas movie. Or Another idea
- 8:20Speaker 1: that I had on here is having a gingerbread house competition.
- 8:22Speaker 1: So you guys both order gingerbread houses, and you know
- 8:26Speaker 1: you have one and he has one, and then you
- 8:27Speaker 1: spend the night like decorating your own, he decorates his,
- 8:30Speaker 1: and then you can see who's did.
- 8:32Speaker 2: A better job.
- 8:33Speaker 1: And anyways, just kind of like fun ideas like that
- 8:35Speaker 1: you can make more enjoyable. And it's also just like
- 8:37Speaker 1: fun date nights you can do at home. So that's
- 8:40Speaker 1: another one. My sister and I actually did this with
- 8:43Speaker 1: Zach last year, and Zach was on his own. Me
- 8:46Speaker 1: and my sister were on our own, and we decorated
- 8:48Speaker 1: our gingerbread house, and obviously ours looked better than Zach,
- 8:51Speaker 1: because Zach is not very good actually know what Zach
- 8:54Speaker 1: is good at the structure aspect of keeping the gingerbread
- 8:58Speaker 1: in like good found, whereas me and my sister we
- 9:01Speaker 1: did a really good job decorating it, but the house
- 9:04Speaker 1: was like falling apart.
- 9:05Speaker 2: So I will give Zach.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Credit to being good at like the construction side obviously
- 9:11Speaker 1: to the gingerbread house, but me and my sister were
- 9:13Speaker 1: better for decorating, so I'll give him a bonus point
- 9:16Speaker 1: for that.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Another thing I.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Love to do during the holiday season is go see
- 9:20Speaker 1: the Christmas lights. I don't know if anyone else has
- 9:22Speaker 1: this in their city, but we have like a drive
- 9:25Speaker 1: through that you could pay to go see a bunch
- 9:27Speaker 1: of different Christmas lights and like this forest. I think
- 9:29Speaker 1: it's like ten dollars. It's not that much, and all
- 9:32Speaker 1: the donations actually go towards a charity, and it's like
- 9:36Speaker 1: a fifteen minute drive through. Actually, you know what, that
- 9:38Speaker 1: might be a fun thing to do with my niece
- 9:40Speaker 1: because she's finally at the age where she kind of
- 9:42Speaker 1: understands Christmas. She's turning three in a few months, and
- 9:47Speaker 1: she's just at like the best age. But I think
- 9:48Speaker 1: that'd be such a fun thing to do with her.
- 9:50Speaker 1: But honestly, just going with friends again, going with your partner,
- 9:54Speaker 1: just like something really small but kind of fun to
- 9:57Speaker 1: do on like a Thursday night or something like that.
- 10:00Speaker 1: There's also areas that you could go to that are
- 10:03Speaker 1: like walkable where they have a bunch of houses that
- 10:06Speaker 1: go full out for the Christmas lights and decor and
- 10:10Speaker 1: all that for the X year of their house, and
- 10:11Speaker 1: that's totally free that.
- 10:13Speaker 2: You could just go walk around and go see that.
- 10:15Speaker 1: So really look around your city and see what's going on.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I'm sure there's some stuff going on when it comes
- 10:21Speaker 1: to Christmas lights. I feel like that's a pretty typical
- 10:23Speaker 1: thing that people do, but it's a fun little thing
- 10:26Speaker 1: to do during the holiday season. Another fun idea is
- 10:29Speaker 1: going holiday shopping in person, going to buy some Christmas
- 10:32Speaker 1: gifts for people, spending the day wrapping the gifts, maybe
- 10:35Speaker 1: watching a movie at the same time wile doing it.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I think obviously a lot of people order their gifts
- 10:40Speaker 1: online now, which I'm a victim to that. I love
- 10:43Speaker 1: just an online shop and get a few gifts there,
- 10:47Speaker 1: and I probably will do the same this year. But
- 10:48Speaker 1: I do also love going to the mall, seeing the
- 10:51Speaker 1: Christmas decorations up, seeing the tree, seeing the Santa like.
- 10:55Speaker 1: There is a bit of joy and excitement when you
- 10:58Speaker 1: go to a mall to get a bit of Christmas
- 11:00Speaker 1: shopping done.
- 11:00Speaker 2: So I do want to make the.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Effort to go to the mall and definitely get a
- 11:04Speaker 1: few small gifts that I could pick up for some
- 11:08Speaker 1: people and then you know, gift wrap them again make
- 11:10Speaker 1: a whole day out of it. So yeah, make sure
- 11:12Speaker 1: to go do some holiday shopping because there is some
- 11:15Speaker 1: cute fines in person versus just finding things online. I
- 11:18Speaker 1: feel like there are certain gifts that you like should
- 11:21Speaker 1: be buying in person verse certain gifts that you could
- 11:23Speaker 1: just order online. As I said, so definitely find the
- 11:26Speaker 1: time throughout the December season. I know malls are kind
- 11:29Speaker 1: of crazy around this time of the year, but it
- 11:31Speaker 1: is really enjoyable to get some holiday shopping done in person.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Another idea is having a little weekend trip, whether it's
- 11:37Speaker 1: going to a cabin, renting a cottage for a weekend,
- 11:41Speaker 1: or going to visit a snowy destination. It has always
- 11:45Speaker 1: been my dream to go to London to see the
- 11:48Speaker 1: Christmas lights. I went to London, I want to say,
- 11:52Speaker 1: last spring for my wedding walk through. I went to
- 11:58Speaker 1: London first with my mom, just because we wanted to.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I don't know, just like visit London for the first
- 12:04Speaker 1: time and I absolutely loved it, and then from there
- 12:06Speaker 1: we went to Italy to go do some like food tastings,
- 12:10Speaker 1: my makeup trial all that. But I've always said that
- 12:13Speaker 1: London is like one of the go to spots that
- 12:15Speaker 1: I want to go see during the Christmas time because
- 12:17Speaker 1: the decorations on the streets are just so beautiful.
- 12:21Speaker 2: There's so much fun things going on.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I actually went to New York City last December to
- 12:27Speaker 1: do my wedding dress try on or not last December, sorry,
- 12:30Speaker 1: The following December, I went to New York to do
- 12:33Speaker 1: a final dress fitting and I was able to see
- 12:37Speaker 1: all the Christmas decorations up all that, and New York
- 12:40Speaker 1: is definitely another spot to visit during the holiday season.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Maybe it might not be this year, but I definitely
- 12:45Speaker 1: recommend planning a trip in the future to go see
- 12:47Speaker 1: all the Christmas decor That.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Is something that I really want to do with zach. I.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Honestly, yesterday was like looking at like last minute flights
- 12:54Speaker 1: to see if we can make it work to go.
- 12:56Speaker 2: For the weekend. But I'm like, you know, there's so
- 12:58Speaker 2: much going on.
- 12:59Speaker 1: With work and with our house that I'm like, it's
- 13:02Speaker 1: not a good time to go to New York.
- 13:05Speaker 2: But that is just like the best idea ever.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I think it's such a fun little weekend trip to
- 13:09Speaker 1: go to New York and see all the Christmas decorations
- 13:11Speaker 1: and it's such a fun little spot.
- 13:13Speaker 2: But again, this is not like a mandatory thing.
- 13:15Speaker 1: I think this is just a nice little addition to
- 13:17Speaker 1: your December is booking a little weekend getaway. I'm actually
- 13:20Speaker 1: going to a cottage the first weekend of December. It's
- 13:23Speaker 1: my girlfriend's cottage. And every single year we always do
- 13:26Speaker 1: like a gals miss is what we call it, and
- 13:29Speaker 1: we all get together, we do a gift exchange, we
- 13:31Speaker 1: all bring some like festive treats, we knit blankets, we
- 13:35Speaker 1: go shopping in this small little town that's close by
- 13:38Speaker 1: to her cottage that has like a lot of cute
- 13:40Speaker 1: Christmas shops all that. So we're making a whole weekend
- 13:43Speaker 1: out of it and just having a fun little girl's
- 13:45Speaker 1: weekend and really getting in the Christmas spirit. So I
- 13:49Speaker 1: highly recommend doing that. It's been a tradition for my
- 13:51Speaker 1: girl group now for I want to say five years now,
- 13:55Speaker 1: and it's just something we look forward to every single year,
- 13:58Speaker 1: and we make a non negotiable because I think spending
- 14:00Speaker 1: time with friends is so so important and doing things
- 14:04Speaker 1: that are fun during the holiday season is very enjoyable.
- 14:08Speaker 2: So that's what we're doing, and yeah, it's going to
- 14:11Speaker 2: be a fun little weekend.
- 14:12Speaker 1: So as I said, doing a gift exchange with friends
- 14:15Speaker 1: or even hosting some tip of holiday dinner I think
- 14:18Speaker 1: is a really fun idea to do during December. I
- 14:20Speaker 1: think hosting around this time of the year is so
- 14:24Speaker 1: so fun and just kind of like planning of girls night,
- 14:27Speaker 1: maybe doing a secret Sanna like finding ways to make
- 14:31Speaker 1: the night more enjoyable. You could do gingerbread houses as
- 14:33Speaker 1: I said, you could nip blankets like, you can totally
- 14:36Speaker 1: find a little craft to do while watching a holiday movie,
- 14:40Speaker 1: and maybe making some festive cocktails. Like you could have
- 14:43Speaker 1: a whole fun night planned all around the holidays with
- 14:47Speaker 1: your friends. Another idea is visiting holiday themed bars. We
- 14:51Speaker 1: have a few themed bars here in Ottawa that literally
- 14:54Speaker 1: go full out, like they deck out the entire restaurant
- 14:57Speaker 1: with Christmas decor. Usually the servers are dressed up and
- 15:00Speaker 1: like elve outfits. There's some Santa clauses, there's the Grinch, Like,
- 15:04Speaker 1: there's so much going on, and it's kind of a
- 15:07Speaker 1: fun way to get out of the house and do
- 15:09Speaker 1: something with your friends again or with your boyfriend or husband.
- 15:14Speaker 1: We always try and do this every single year, and
- 15:16Speaker 1: we can never get in, Like these restaurants are always
- 15:19Speaker 1: fully booked, and usually you can't make a reservation for
- 15:23Speaker 1: obviously a Friday or Saturday night. So maybe we should
- 15:26Speaker 1: try and make it an effort to go on like
- 15:28Speaker 1: a Thursday night or something like that, maybe when it's
- 15:29Speaker 1: not as busy. But it's definitely a fun little date
- 15:32Speaker 1: night idea if you want to get out of the
- 15:34Speaker 1: house and again still have like a holiday night, it'd
- 15:37Speaker 1: be a really fun idea to go visit a holiday
- 15:39Speaker 1: themed bar. And then the last one is just figuring
- 15:42Speaker 1: out what's happening in your city. Is there a holiday
- 15:44Speaker 1: farmers' markets happening? Is their parades? Like I feel like
- 15:47Speaker 1: there's always things going on. Is there, like you know
- 15:51Speaker 1: concerts going on that are holiday themed. I know last
- 15:54Speaker 1: year we had the Nutcracker, and this is that's something
- 15:58Speaker 1: that I actually really want to do this year. I
- 15:59Speaker 1: need to see if there's tickets available because it might
- 16:01Speaker 1: actually be sold out, but going to see the Nutcracker
- 16:04Speaker 1: would be a really cute date night idea again with
- 16:07Speaker 1: girlfriends or with your husband.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I also just like love.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Doing anything that allows me to get out of the
- 16:13Speaker 1: house during the holidays. I think it's just the best
- 16:16Speaker 1: time of year to just like really take advantage of
- 16:18Speaker 1: things going on in the city. So yeah, just kind
- 16:21Speaker 1: of see what's happening, is their farmers' markets, is their parades,
- 16:24Speaker 1: Like usually there's a lot of stuff happening on the
- 16:26Speaker 1: weekend or like Friday nights, So you can definitely take
- 16:29Speaker 1: advantage of doing those things because it definitely makes the
- 16:33Speaker 1: holidays more enjoyable when you make the effort of making plans,
- 16:36Speaker 1: getting out of the house and just doing those things
- 16:39Speaker 1: to get yourself into the holiday season. So that's kind
- 16:42Speaker 1: of like my mini bucket list of how I'm getting
- 16:45Speaker 1: into like the holiday spirit and how I really want
- 16:47Speaker 1: to maximize my December of just really enjoying the holiday
- 16:51Speaker 1: season by making the effort of doing these little things.
- 16:54Speaker 1: And I truly find it makes a huge difference when
- 16:57Speaker 1: I romanticize and do these things during the holidays season.
- 17:00Speaker 1: So I hope this gave you some inspiration for creating
- 17:02Speaker 1: your holiday bucket list and give you some ideas of
- 17:06Speaker 1: how to spend your December. Okay, so now let's get
- 17:09Speaker 1: into holiday gift ideas because obviously holiday shopping can get
- 17:14Speaker 1: a little overwhelming. There's so many good gift ideas, but
- 17:17Speaker 1: I thought I would share some things that I truly
- 17:20Speaker 1: feel like are worth the investment. These are some things
- 17:23Speaker 1: that I either own or some things that I've heard
- 17:25Speaker 1: people talk about that are like ten out of ten
- 17:28Speaker 1: recommend like best gift idea all that. So I have
- 17:32Speaker 1: gifts for her, gifts for him, gifts for the bestie
- 17:35Speaker 1: slash under one hundred dollars, gifts for the parents or
- 17:38Speaker 1: in laws, along with my wish list of little things
- 17:42Speaker 1: that I want for Christmas from Santa of course, so
- 17:47Speaker 1: we're going to start off with gifts for her. So
- 17:50Speaker 1: one gift that I actually love the idea of gifting
- 17:53Speaker 1: to someone this could also be for a friend or
- 17:56Speaker 1: something that you can just ask from Santa is a
- 17:59Speaker 1: Monaga toiletry bag.
- 18:01Speaker 2: The thought of.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Having my name on something or my initials on something
- 18:05Speaker 1: I love, like, I really do love personalized gifts, or
- 18:08Speaker 1: even if it's like a monogram laptop case or a
- 18:11Speaker 1: monogram like jewelry travel pouch. I mean those like jewelry
- 18:15Speaker 1: travel cases that you could put your earrings in your rings,
- 18:18Speaker 1: all that with your name on it. It just looks
- 18:20Speaker 1: so high end in my opinion. There's this one brand
- 18:23Speaker 1: that I linked on my shop my which again all
- 18:26Speaker 1: this will be linked in my description for anyone that
- 18:28Speaker 1: wants to see what I'm talking about here. But I
- 18:30Speaker 1: think it's called Adbe and they do monogram everything. And
- 18:35Speaker 1: there's one specific item that I love, which is like
- 18:37Speaker 1: a leather crock material and it's got the initials of
- 18:41Speaker 1: your first and last name or could be your first
- 18:43Speaker 1: middle name and last name, and I just think it's
- 18:45Speaker 1: so so chic. I'm obsessed with it. And that's something
- 18:49Speaker 1: that I'm asking for from my mom, to be honest,
- 18:51Speaker 1: because I love it and I do travel a lot
- 18:53Speaker 1: with work sometimes, so I thought it would be a
- 18:55Speaker 1: cute little gift to give to someone else. Another thing
- 18:58Speaker 1: I love is jewelry.
- 19:01Speaker 2: I love a good.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Ear ring, especially when I'm going out.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I feel like I have like.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Good staple earrings that I'm wearing right now, which is
- 19:07Speaker 1: also a good gift idea to get, just like a
- 19:10Speaker 1: mini pair of hoops, a mini pair of studs, like
- 19:12Speaker 1: something that you're gonna wear all the time. You want
- 19:14Speaker 1: something that's good quality that obviously will last in the
- 19:17Speaker 1: shower all that. Some brands that I love when it
- 19:20Speaker 1: comes to good quality jewelry is Masuri. Honestly, Amazon sometimes
- 19:25Speaker 1: has some good fines too, And I also love just
- 19:28Speaker 1: like small local boutique jewelry companies here that I'll shop
- 19:33Speaker 1: at just to grab some jewelry pieces. But I also
- 19:37Speaker 1: love a good statement earring when I'm going out for dinner.
- 19:40Speaker 1: You know, I want my earrings to look a little
- 19:41Speaker 1: bit more, you.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Know, dressed up.
- 19:43Speaker 1: I don't want just like my basic studs and many hoops.
- 19:46Speaker 1: So I love the ear rings from Heaven Mayhem. Truly
- 19:51Speaker 1: such a beautiful earring. They have so many different styles
- 19:54Speaker 1: and it's honestly in a pretty good price point as well.
- 19:57Speaker 1: So that brand I adore, and I think they have
- 20:00Speaker 1: so many great staple pieces that are great for like
- 20:03Speaker 1: date nights or fancy occasions. They just have like such
- 20:06Speaker 1: a good assortment of different kinds of earrings. Now, this
- 20:09Speaker 1: next one is a little bit costly, but you guys
- 20:11Speaker 1: know me, I love my red Light Therapy mask, and
- 20:14Speaker 1: everyone has been talking about the Shark red Light Therapy mask.
- 20:17Speaker 1: I almost want to get it myself, even though I
- 20:20Speaker 1: don't need it, like I have my own, but everyone
- 20:23Speaker 1: has been saying amazing things about the Shark red Light
- 20:26Speaker 1: Therapy mass It's got like an eye massager, it's got
- 20:29Speaker 1: an area to cool your eyes apparently.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I love that it's.
- 20:33Speaker 1: A remote control so you can kind of control what
- 20:37Speaker 1: the face mask is doing for your skin. So it
- 20:39Speaker 1: has like different settings that you can do for like
- 20:43Speaker 1: the benefits of what you want the red light therapy
- 20:45Speaker 1: to do for your skin.
- 20:46Speaker 2: So if you have the.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Budget, I highly recommend getting this. I'm trying to convince
- 20:51Speaker 1: my sister to get it because she has been wanting
- 20:54Speaker 1: a red light therapy mask for so long, and I'm like,
- 20:56Speaker 1: if you're going to get one, I think you should
- 20:57Speaker 1: get this brand because I hear so many good things
- 20:59Speaker 1: about So if you're looking to splurge or get a
- 21:05Speaker 1: good gift for yourself, I highly recommend the Shark Red
- 21:09Speaker 1: Light Therapy Mask.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Again, I've never tried it.
- 21:11Speaker 1: I don't own it, but I'm just speaking on behalf
- 21:13Speaker 1: of reviews that I've seen people talk about on YouTube
- 21:17Speaker 1: and TikTok and everyone's just saying the Shark red light
- 21:19Speaker 1: therapy mask is so so good. Another thing is Road
- 21:23Speaker 1: Road Skincare Miss Haley Bieber. I will say I truly
- 21:26Speaker 1: love all over products. I use the blush, I use
- 21:30Speaker 1: the lipliners, I use a lot of the skincare products,
- 21:32Speaker 1: like the barrier cream and the glazing milk.
- 21:36Speaker 2: I love it. I always go back to it.
- 21:38Speaker 1: I'm a very sensitive skin girl, so for me, I'm
- 21:41Speaker 1: very picky about the skincare products that I use on
- 21:43Speaker 1: my face, and this is the one brand that I
- 21:45Speaker 1: would say is very consistent without me breaking out or
- 21:49Speaker 1: having any issues with my skin. So if you're someone
- 21:52Speaker 1: like me that has really sensitive skin, I'm telling you
- 21:54Speaker 1: right now, Road is so good. They have a lot
- 21:56Speaker 1: of good holiday discounts right now too. For like their
- 22:00Speaker 1: skincare package. It comes with a cute little toiletry bag,
- 22:03Speaker 1: it's got you know, the Road barrier cream, it's got
- 22:07Speaker 1: the glazing milk all that.
- 22:09Speaker 2: So definitely do your own research.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Obviously, every skin type is different, but this is by
- 22:13Speaker 1: far one of my favorite brands. And again her makeup
- 22:16Speaker 1: products are really good too. She's got the blush, she's
- 22:18Speaker 1: got lipliners. She just came out with a new black
- 22:23Speaker 1: It's a toiletry bag, but it's literally the size of
- 22:26Speaker 1: a laptop. They were so kind enough to gift it
- 22:29Speaker 1: to me, and I use it as my laptop case,
- 22:31Speaker 1: and I love it so much. They are selling it individually,
- 22:34Speaker 1: I believe, so I think I added that to one
- 22:36Speaker 1: of my gift guides just because I've been using it
- 22:38Speaker 1: a lot as a laptop case and I adore it.
- 22:40Speaker 1: And they also have really cute phone cases, So if
- 22:42Speaker 1: you're looking to get a new phone case, I.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Just got the Road.
- 22:47Speaker 1: It's like a little sticky part to put your lip
- 22:49Speaker 1: gloss on. But I like how it's not the full case.
- 22:52Speaker 1: It basically looks like the Octobuddy, which if you guys
- 22:54Speaker 1: know the Octabuddy, it's like that sticky part that you
- 22:56Speaker 1: guys might see on my phone and my Instagram stories.
- 22:59Speaker 1: It's essentially a tripod for me to just like stick
- 23:01Speaker 1: against a mirror or you know, a window whenever I
- 23:05Speaker 1: need to film stuff. It's very very practical for me personally,
- 23:09Speaker 1: But I do love the Road addition that you can
- 23:12Speaker 1: just stick on like a nice phone case, and like
- 23:15Speaker 1: having the option of like putting on your lipstick.
- 23:17Speaker 2: I think it's also magnetic.
- 23:19Speaker 1: As well, which is so great because you could take
- 23:21Speaker 1: it off and not have to like ruin your phone case,
- 23:24Speaker 1: because the optobuddies like a sticker, so once it's on,
- 23:26Speaker 1: it's not coming off, whereas like the magnetic one, you
- 23:29Speaker 1: can obviously take it off and not have to worry
- 23:32Speaker 1: about it ruining the phone case, and you don't have
- 23:33Speaker 1: to have it on all the time, which I love,
- 23:36Speaker 1: so really really love that brand, and I feel like
- 23:38Speaker 1: it's a great gift to give, you know, for someone
- 23:40Speaker 1: else or for yourself. To ask for the last thing
- 23:43Speaker 1: I'm going to put here for a gift for her,
- 23:45Speaker 1: especially if you want to like send this to your
- 23:46Speaker 1: boyfriend or your husband is a walking pad. I'm gonna
- 23:50Speaker 1: tell you guys right now, you guys know how much
- 23:52Speaker 1: I love my walking pad. It is truly the best investment.
- 23:55Speaker 1: I think Zach actually got it for me. I keep
- 23:56Speaker 1: thinking that I bought it for myself, but I think
- 23:58Speaker 1: Zach got it for me for my birthday, and I
- 24:01Speaker 1: adore it. I use it every single day, especially in
- 24:03Speaker 1: the winter. It's been such a great way to get
- 24:05Speaker 1: some movement in I've been reading my book a lot
- 24:08Speaker 1: on there, just spending like thirty to forty minutes in
- 24:10Speaker 1: the morning, just getting my movement in, getting some walks in.
- 24:13Speaker 1: I love that I can just fold it up, put
- 24:15Speaker 1: it in the corner, not have to stress about it.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Like it is again a little bit of an investment piece.
- 24:20Speaker 1: But if you're looking to, you know, be able to
- 24:23Speaker 1: get your steps in but not have to like go
- 24:25Speaker 1: freeze in the freezing rain or snow, you know, having
- 24:29Speaker 1: the walking pad is a great, great alternative if you
- 24:31Speaker 1: live in the colder climates like myself.
- 24:34Speaker 2: All right, let's get into gifts for him.
- 24:36Speaker 1: I love the idea of investing in a really good
- 24:39Speaker 1: quality black sweater, whether it's from Aloe or Lululemon. I
- 24:43Speaker 1: don't know about your man, but Zach really loves to
- 24:45Speaker 1: wear just like really basic things. Like he loves a
- 24:47Speaker 1: good basic shirt, he loves a good basic pant, like
- 24:49Speaker 1: he always wears like the three same colors either gray,
- 24:53Speaker 1: black or white or sometimes like a green. But he's
- 24:57Speaker 1: pretty neutral when it comes to his outfits. So I
- 25:02Speaker 1: really love shopping on like Lulemon or Alo Yoga for
- 25:06Speaker 1: a good quality sweater because it's going to last him.
- 25:08Speaker 2: For such a long time, and the.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Quality is just really good, so you don't have to
- 25:11Speaker 1: worry about like it getting ruined or anything. So really
- 25:15Speaker 1: really recommend that. If you're looking to like elevate your
- 25:17Speaker 1: man's fashion and you want him to have like a
- 25:19Speaker 1: good staple sweater, I definitely recommend checking out those brands.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Another idea is just gifting him tickets to some type
- 25:26Speaker 1: of sports related game, whether it's a hockey game or
- 25:29Speaker 1: a football game, or you know, obviously baseball is not
- 25:32Speaker 1: happening right now, but maybe buying tickets to a game
- 25:35Speaker 1: for next season. Like I know, Zach loves experienced gifts,
- 25:39Speaker 1: like when we do stuff together, and he loves when
- 25:42Speaker 1: it's obviously sports related. So if you know your husband
- 25:44Speaker 1: or boyfriend's favorite sports team, maybe you look at getting
- 25:48Speaker 1: some tickets to a game. I think that's a really
- 25:50Speaker 1: fun gift idea. Another idea is investing in new luggage
- 25:54Speaker 1: or even like a backpack for your husband. I feel
- 25:57Speaker 1: like this is something that men never put the effort
- 25:59Speaker 1: in buying them themselves, like Zach never, I don't think
- 26:03Speaker 1: he's ever bought in himself a nice suitcase or toiletry
- 26:05Speaker 1: bags like I've always gifted it to him as a
- 26:07Speaker 1: Christmas gift or a Birthday gift, and now he has
- 26:10Speaker 1: a full travel set that he's been using for years
- 26:13Speaker 1: that he loves. And I don't know, I just think
- 26:15Speaker 1: it's something that makes your man look more put together.
- 26:18Speaker 1: When he has a good travel set, a good you know,
- 26:21Speaker 1: a good suitcase, a good toiletry bag, Like, he just
- 26:24Speaker 1: looks very put together, if that makes sense. Or even
- 26:26Speaker 1: just having a good backpack if your husband works in
- 26:29Speaker 1: the business field or if he's a construction worker, like
- 26:31Speaker 1: obviously men need something to carry their stuff in, so
- 26:34Speaker 1: having a good backpack is a really good idea. So
- 26:37Speaker 1: I've linked a few options from a bunch of different brands,
- 26:40Speaker 1: but just like a simple black luggage or a black
- 26:43Speaker 1: backpack would go a really long way and something that
- 26:46Speaker 1: you'll have for a really long time. So I feel
- 26:47Speaker 1: like it's a really good gift if you're looking to, yeah,
- 26:51Speaker 1: upgrade his luggage or backpack. Something small that I always
- 26:56Speaker 1: love to get Zach usually every single year, maybe not
- 26:58Speaker 1: every single year, but every two years is either a
- 27:01Speaker 1: new water bottle or a travel mug. I love the
- 27:04Speaker 1: brand Yetti when it comes to a coffee mug because
- 27:06Speaker 1: Zach is always waking up early, he makes his coffees
- 27:08Speaker 1: out the door, and just having a good travel mug
- 27:11Speaker 1: I think is essential. And then obviously a good water
- 27:13Speaker 1: bottle as well, But these are things that you could
- 27:15Speaker 1: find on Amazon. Again, it's just kind of like a
- 27:17Speaker 1: little gift idea to add on to maybe another gift
- 27:20Speaker 1: that you want to get him. So maybe it's the
- 27:21Speaker 1: sweater and a water bottle, or the sweater and the
- 27:24Speaker 1: travel mug. I love that type of gift to receive,
- 27:27Speaker 1: so I feel like it's a good gift to give.
- 27:28Speaker 1: And the last one, again, if you want to splurge,
- 27:30Speaker 1: is maybe getting your man a new coffee machine. I
- 27:33Speaker 1: know Zach adors coffee, and I think you know, investing
- 27:37Speaker 1: in an espresso machine or a good coffee machine is
- 27:41Speaker 1: another great gift idea. Okay, Next is gifts for the
- 27:44Speaker 1: bestie or gifts under one hundred dollars. When I'm gifting
- 27:47Speaker 1: to someone else, whether it's a gift exchange or something
- 27:51Speaker 1: that I'm getting for a friend, I always look at
- 27:54Speaker 1: the Sephora holiday gift sets. I will say Sephora has
- 27:57Speaker 1: the best discounts when it comes to the holiday gift sets.
- 28:01Speaker 1: There are so many good brands that are doing such
- 28:03Speaker 1: cute gift sets like Rare Beauty, you know, Summer Fridays
- 28:07Speaker 1: Again Road, There's a bunch of cute holiday gift sets
- 28:10Speaker 1: that you could find at such a good price point
- 28:12Speaker 1: you get so much. Sephora also does like Sephor themed
- 28:16Speaker 1: gift baskets where they basically include a bunch of different
- 28:19Speaker 1: brands and it's like under you know, eighty dollars and
- 28:23Speaker 1: you get like two hundred dollars worth of product or
- 28:25Speaker 1: something like that. So I always resort to that whenever
- 28:29Speaker 1: I'm gifting for like a secret Sanna or for someone
- 28:33Speaker 1: that loves makeup or skincare. I just feel like it's
- 28:37Speaker 1: such a good place to find really affordable gift sets.
- 28:40Speaker 1: I also love the Anthropology mugs. I'm sure you guys
- 28:43Speaker 1: know the ones I'm talking about, but Anthropology has such
- 28:47Speaker 1: cute iconic like clear glasses with cute little emojis on it,
- 28:51Speaker 1: so you can get one with hearts on it, you
- 28:53Speaker 1: can get one with bows on it. Some of them
- 28:55Speaker 1: also have like Christmas theme, Valentine's Day theme, all that
- 28:59Speaker 1: you can also find really cute like straight mugs.
- 29:02Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Just having a cute espresso cup or a very cute
- 29:05Speaker 1: coffee mug just makes me feel good when I'm drinking.
- 29:07Speaker 2: It at home.
- 29:09Speaker 1: And one thing that no one has mastered yet maybe
- 29:12Speaker 1: I need to start this, but a good iced coffee glass.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Like I feel like I'm always.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Using some type of like Mason jar or tall clear glass,
- 29:21Speaker 1: but I like a decent sized iced coffee and I
- 29:24Speaker 1: feel like those like many ones from Anthropology never satisfy
- 29:27Speaker 1: me because it's too small. So anyways, maybe Anthropology needs
- 29:31Speaker 1: to get on that. But I need at least like
- 29:32Speaker 1: a sixteen ounce glass for my iced coffee, unless if
- 29:36Speaker 1: I'm having a warm coffee, obviously I'm going to be
- 29:38Speaker 1: putting it in that cute little straight mug. But yeah,
- 29:41Speaker 1: just finding Anthropology mugs or cups are really cute. But yeah,
- 29:46Speaker 1: I have not been able to find a cute ice
- 29:48Speaker 1: coffee cup. Unless you have a good one, send it
- 29:50Speaker 1: to me. I'm just using literally Mason jars over here,
- 29:53Speaker 1: but it does the job and that's all I care about.
- 29:55Speaker 2: But I could have a better coffee cup.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Another idea is going to a ritzia and up like
- 30:01Speaker 1: mits and a hat or maybe a scarf. Again, we're
- 30:04Speaker 1: in that cold time, so investing in a good quality
- 30:08Speaker 1: scarf or hat or mits. I think it's such a
- 30:10Speaker 1: nice little gift. And I love a good par emits
- 30:14Speaker 1: or just like anything in a neutral color, whether it's
- 30:16Speaker 1: black or brown. I feel like it's just something that
- 30:18Speaker 1: I don't really want to buy myself, so I feel
- 30:20Speaker 1: like when someone else gives it for me, it's just
- 30:22Speaker 1: like a nice gesture and it will definitely be used,
- 30:25Speaker 1: especially when I'm going on my longer walks with Freddy.
- 30:28Speaker 1: But yeah, I thought that was a really good gift idea.
- 30:30Speaker 1: I also love this idea for someone that wants to
- 30:32Speaker 1: just add to a gift, Maybe that's an affordable option.
- 30:35Speaker 1: If you know a girl that's into pilates, I love
- 30:38Speaker 1: the idea of getting pilate grip socks. There's so many
- 30:41Speaker 1: cute grip socks that you can get at so many
- 30:44Speaker 1: different websites. But I think it's such a cute little
- 30:46Speaker 1: gift idea. The last one that I love is getting
- 30:49Speaker 1: a candle and a candle warmer. You can find so
- 30:51Speaker 1: many cute candle warmers on Amazon. Maybe get a cute
- 30:55Speaker 1: little designer candle or something from Sephora and then pair
- 30:59Speaker 1: it with a candle warm. I think that's such a
- 31:00Speaker 1: cute gift idea, And let's be honest, who doesn't love
- 31:03Speaker 1: a candle. I love candles so much. I think I
- 31:06Speaker 1: have like twenty five.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Around my house. I'm not even over exaggerating.
- 31:09Speaker 1: I love candles, and I think it's just a really
- 31:11Speaker 1: nice gift to give. Okay, the next one is for
- 31:14Speaker 1: the parents or the in laws. I feel like this
- 31:16Speaker 1: is always very difficult because I feel like you want
- 31:20Speaker 1: it to be like very gender neutral. Like I typically
- 31:23Speaker 1: give things to my in laws like as a set.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Like sometimes I'll do, like, you know, a gift card
- 31:28Speaker 1: to a restaurant for them to go on a date
- 31:29Speaker 1: and night. Everything I typically give them is for them together,
- 31:32Speaker 1: not separately. I don't get my mother in law something
- 31:35Speaker 1: and then my father in law usually just get them
- 31:37Speaker 1: a gift that they can use together. So I was
- 31:39Speaker 1: trying to think of ideas that we're kind of like
- 31:41Speaker 1: gender neutral that could be good to give or again
- 31:44Speaker 1: to your parents. Usually I do buy things separate from
- 31:47Speaker 1: my mom and my dad. But again, if you want
- 31:50Speaker 1: to keep it easy, you could do some more gender
- 31:53Speaker 1: neutral gifts that could be for.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Both of them.
- 31:55Speaker 1: But again going back to like the monogram thing, I
- 31:58Speaker 1: still love that aspect of having something customize and personalize,
- 32:02Speaker 1: but I've seen a few brands do like monogram cutting boards,
- 32:05Speaker 1: which I would love to receive that if my initials
- 32:09Speaker 1: or even if it was like KZ so like me
- 32:11Speaker 1: and Zach on a cutting board. I think that's such
- 32:13Speaker 1: a nice gift to give. Another gift that I would
- 32:16Speaker 1: love to receive but also give to my parents or
- 32:19Speaker 1: in laws is a throw blanket or weighted blanket.
- 32:22Speaker 2: I love weighted blankets so much.
- 32:24Speaker 1: It's so underrated. I feel like it's the coziest thing ever.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Especially when it's heated. Oh, it's the best. I also
- 32:31Speaker 1: love the throw blankets from the brand I think it's
- 32:35Speaker 1: called Lola. I could be pronouncing that wrong, but it's
- 32:38Speaker 1: an American based company. You cannot get them in Canada unfortunately,
- 32:41Speaker 1: but I did find a dupe on Amazon that I
- 32:43Speaker 1: did link for anyone that wants them. But they're so cozy.
- 32:47Speaker 1: I have them on my couch twenty four to seven,
- 32:50Speaker 1: and I feel like it's just like a really good
- 32:51Speaker 1: gift to give to a parent or an in law.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Another idea is getting an Amazon Alexa, so they have
- 32:57Speaker 1: like those new smart Alexas that are almost like an
- 32:59Speaker 1: iPad that you can use, you know, for the weather,
- 33:02Speaker 1: you can ask Alexi certain things. Like it's a really
- 33:05Speaker 1: really good smart device to have or to give to
- 33:08Speaker 1: a parent, especially for parents who are into like that
- 33:11Speaker 1: tech side of things. I feel like it's a pretty
- 33:13Speaker 1: affordable gift to give and I find it very useful,
- 33:16Speaker 1: especially if you want to place Amazon orders all that.
- 33:20Speaker 1: So I really love that gift idea. This one's a
- 33:22Speaker 1: bit pricey, but I feel like if I gifted this
- 33:25Speaker 1: to my mother in law, she would love it. The
- 33:26Speaker 1: hatch alarm clock. As you guys know, I love my
- 33:29Speaker 1: hatch alarm clock. I think it's the best thing ever.
- 33:31Speaker 1: And I feel like it's just a really good gift
- 33:34Speaker 1: to give to a parent, especially like for people who
- 33:37Speaker 1: wake up early for a job that you know, just
- 33:39Speaker 1: obviously want a better alarm clock versus an iPhone alarm clock.
- 33:43Speaker 1: So I definitely recommend that. And then the last one
- 33:46Speaker 1: is pretty small and simple, but again a little recipe
- 33:49Speaker 1: book for them to write recipes in when they're cooking dinners.
- 33:53Speaker 1: I want to actually get this myself because I am
- 33:57Speaker 1: so known to finding recipes online, making it, loving it,
- 34:01Speaker 1: and then two weeks go by and I'm like, oh,
- 34:03Speaker 1: what recipe was that?
- 34:04Speaker 2: Who is that? By? Like I always forget.
- 34:05Speaker 1: So if I have a recipe book and I actually
- 34:07Speaker 1: write down the recipe out entirely in a recipe book,
- 34:11Speaker 1: I can just like go back on my recipe book. Okay,
- 34:13Speaker 1: this is the dinner that we made two weeks ago.
- 34:15Speaker 1: We can remake it. Everything's there. I don't have to
- 34:17Speaker 1: stress about finding it on Pinterest again or whatever. I
- 34:20Speaker 1: feel like it's just hard to like keep track of
- 34:22Speaker 1: recipes that you find, whether it's through TikTok, you know, Pinterest, whatever.
- 34:26Speaker 2: I feel like I'm always losing it.
- 34:28Speaker 1: So having a recipe book and being able to write
- 34:30Speaker 1: everything out, I think is a good gift idea to
- 34:32Speaker 1: give to a parent or for someone who loves to cook.
- 34:35Speaker 1: So those are my ideas for gifts for the parents
- 34:38Speaker 1: or in laws. I feel like they're very gender neutral,
- 34:41Speaker 1: but I feel like they're good ideas. Again, you can
- 34:43Speaker 1: also pull other gift ideas from other things that I
- 34:46Speaker 1: talked about, like the candle and candle warmer would also
- 34:48Speaker 1: be really good for a parent or an in law again,
- 34:52Speaker 1: or the anthropology mugs like things like that could also
- 34:55Speaker 1: be a really good gift to give to a parent
- 34:57Speaker 1: or in law. Okay, last, but not least, let's talk
- 34:59Speaker 1: about wishless. My wishless this year is very different than
- 35:03Speaker 1: previous years, I think because I've reached the age where
- 35:07Speaker 1: I'm buying everything and anything for myself. If I see
- 35:10Speaker 1: something I want, I just buy it. I don't think twice,
- 35:13Speaker 1: and I feel like my Mom's like, what am I
- 35:15Speaker 1: getting you? Because you just buy everything yourself, which fair.
- 35:18Speaker 1: I'm at the age where I don't really need gifts,
- 35:20Speaker 1: but I did think of a few ideas when it
- 35:22Speaker 1: comes to the new house, because there is a few
- 35:26Speaker 1: things that I want to get. But I mean, obviously,
- 35:29Speaker 1: we have a house, we've lived here for four to
- 35:31Speaker 1: five years. We've obviously collected things like utensils, dishware, you know,
- 35:36Speaker 1: pots and pants. Like I do have a good assortment
- 35:38Speaker 1: of things that I don't really need for the next house.
- 35:41Speaker 1: But there is like certain things that I would love
- 35:43Speaker 1: to get if you know, Santa wants to give.
- 35:47Speaker 2: It to me.
- 35:48Speaker 1: But I would love a arumba. Does anybody have one?
- 35:51Speaker 1: Please tell me if you love it because to my
- 35:53Speaker 1: girlfriends have it. It's essentially a vacuum that goes around
- 35:57Speaker 1: your house through an app and you don't have to
- 36:00Speaker 1: do it yourself. It's cleans your floors for you, which
- 36:02Speaker 1: I think is amazing. My only concern is Freddy's going
- 36:05Speaker 1: to be terrified of it. But it only usually stays
- 36:08Speaker 1: on one floor, so it's not going to go up
- 36:09Speaker 1: the stairs. It's not going to go down the stairs,
- 36:11Speaker 1: and I feel like if Freddy's like on the top
- 36:13Speaker 1: of the stairs, she'll be okay. I don't know the
- 36:16Speaker 1: idea of something cleaning my floors for me twenty four
- 36:18Speaker 1: to seven. I don't have to stress about doing that.
- 36:20Speaker 1: You know, one chore would be a really nice thing
- 36:23Speaker 1: to have. It's all done through an app as well,
- 36:25Speaker 1: So if.
- 36:26Speaker 2: You have one, let me know. Would love your feedback.
- 36:29Speaker 1: If you have one and you hate it, please let
- 36:31Speaker 1: me know because then I won't ask it for Christmas.
- 36:34Speaker 1: But that's something that I've been kind of doing my
- 36:37Speaker 1: own research on figuring out if I want to ask
- 36:39Speaker 1: for that or not. Another thing I want for Christmas
- 36:42Speaker 1: is another house item, but I need more stainless steel
- 36:44Speaker 1: pots and pans, just some new cookware in general. I
- 36:48Speaker 1: feel like we've used ours pretty well these past few
- 36:52Speaker 1: years and we haven't really upgraded anything, so I feel
- 36:55Speaker 1: like we need to just you know, replen a few
- 36:57Speaker 1: things when it comes to baking needs and cookwear. I
- 37:01Speaker 1: also want to get a new kettle, So yeah, those
- 37:03Speaker 1: little things are currently on my wish list.
- 37:06Speaker 2: I also love the.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Idea of receiving some hosting gifts, so like serving were
- 37:11Speaker 1: I don't really have a lot of just like hosting
- 37:13Speaker 1: items in general when it comes to like, you know,
- 37:16Speaker 1: a nice serving plate to put like multiple things on
- 37:19Speaker 1: when people come over, you know, serving dishware, so like
- 37:22Speaker 1: a big fork and spoon, or like a dessert tray,
- 37:26Speaker 1: a dessert knife, like certain things like that I actually
- 37:28Speaker 1: do not own. So I definitely hope to do more
- 37:31Speaker 1: hosting in the next house, especially when it comes to
- 37:33Speaker 1: like family things. I think we're gonna have a lot
- 37:34Speaker 1: more family events happening at our house, which is exciting,
- 37:38Speaker 1: so I definitely feel like I need to have a
- 37:40Speaker 1: few of those things for the next house. Another thing
- 37:42Speaker 1: I want is leather gloves. I don't know why I
- 37:45Speaker 1: want leather gloves.
- 37:46Speaker 2: I don't own a pair.
- 37:47Speaker 1: I think It's because whenever I go out to like
- 37:49Speaker 1: a nice dinner or a nice event in the winter
- 37:52Speaker 1: and I'm wearing like my Amazon or Ritzia like cloth mits,
- 37:56Speaker 1: I just feel not really put together. So I feel
- 37:59Speaker 1: like if I have a leather for like the fancier occasions,
- 38:02Speaker 1: you know, I feel like that's just like a nice
- 38:04Speaker 1: little addition to a fancy outfit. So I really want
- 38:08Speaker 1: some leather gloves. I also think it's just something that
- 38:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna have for a really long time, So just
- 38:12Speaker 1: something that is a need more so than a want.
- 38:15Speaker 2: And then the last.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Thing I want is a jewelry item. I really want
- 38:19Speaker 1: those like diamond pinky rings. I think they're so cute.
- 38:23Speaker 1: I I'm just gonna say here because I don't think
- 38:25Speaker 1: my sister's gonna listen to this episode, but I would
- 38:27Speaker 1: love to get my sister and I those matching like
- 38:29Speaker 1: bestie pinky rings, and I feel like she would wear it.
- 38:32Speaker 1: I would wear it. We always talk about like either
- 38:34Speaker 1: doing like matching jewelry or like matching tattoos, like just
- 38:38Speaker 1: kind of like a little sister bond thing. So I
- 38:40Speaker 1: feel like that'd be a really cute gift to give
- 38:42Speaker 1: to your sister or your best friend is like matching
- 38:44Speaker 1: bracelets or matching pinky rings. But that is my current
- 38:48Speaker 1: wish list. I only listed about four to five things
- 38:51Speaker 1: from each category, so there is a lot more options
- 38:54Speaker 1: and ideas that I have under the gift guides that
- 38:56Speaker 1: I actually created through shot my So again, I willclue
- 39:00Speaker 1: the link in the description for anyone that's interested if
- 39:02Speaker 1: they want to check it out get some gift ideas.
- 39:05Speaker 2: I've put it all there.
- 39:06Speaker 1: But I hope you guys enjoyed this episode. I really
- 39:08Speaker 1: liked how I combined it with a bucket list on
- 39:10Speaker 1: top of the gift guides because I think it just
- 39:12Speaker 1: kind of really recaps the holiday season of everything I
- 39:15Speaker 1: wanted to share going into the festive season. But I
- 39:20Speaker 1: love you guys also much. I hope you guys enjoyed
- 39:22Speaker 1: this episode. Make sure to follow me on Instagram, TikTok,
- 39:25Speaker 1: and YouTube. As I said, I'm doing vologmiss there and
- 39:27Speaker 1: I would love to give a giveaway to one of
- 39:30Speaker 1: you listeners, so definitely make sure to follow along. It
- 39:33Speaker 1: starts next Monday, so that will be a very fun
- 39:37Speaker 1: and busy month for me for filming, which I'm excited about.
- 39:40Speaker 1: But definitely going to try and manage obviously recording the
- 39:43Speaker 1: podcast episodes as well, so it's going to be a lot,
- 39:45Speaker 1: but I always look forward to this time of year.
- 39:48Speaker 1: But again, I love you guys. Also much thank you
- 39:50Speaker 1: guys for listening to another episode, and I will see
- 39:52Speaker 1: you guys in.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Next week's episode
