- 3:49remains in Buffalo, New York.
- 3:56Now on to sports.
- 3:58Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are finding their rhythm after a tough start to the season.
- 4:05In a recent game against the Washington Mystics, Clark dazzled with five consecutive three-pointers,
- 4:11finishing with 30 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and four steals.
- 4:17Despite early struggles and intense media scrutiny, the Fever are learning to navigate
- 4:22the pressures and improve their gameplay.
- 4:25As Clark continues to shine, Indiana hopes this marks a turning point for a more successful
- 4:31season.
- 4:33In local sports, tonight, the Sox are back at it, taking on the Phillies at Fenway Park.
- 4:43In top news, Dr. Paul Tierstein of Scripps Clinic is the first in Southern California
- 4:50to use a drug-coated balloon to clear a clogged stent in a heart vessel.
- 4:55The procedure performed at Scripps Memorial Hospital utilizes the Agent drug-coated balloon
- 5:01from Boston Scientific, which was recently approved by the FDA.
- 5:07This innovative treatment targets in-stent rastinosis, offering a new option that reduces
- 5:13the need for repeat procedures and subsequent heart attacks by 50%, significantly benefiting
- 5:19patients with recurrent coronary artery disease.
- 5:24In business news, risky startups like Aptera Motors and Boxable are leveraging crowdfunding
- 5:33and digital marketing to raise millions from novice investors.
- 5:38Aptera, promising solar cars, and Boxable, touting tiny houses, have raised $170 million
- 5:46collectively.
- 5:48However, both have struggled with production and transparency.
- 5:53The SEC's regulation exemption, designed to help smaller companies, has enabled these
- 5:58startups to attract significant funding despite limited oversight, leading to potential risks
- 6:04for inexperienced investors who often receive less transparency and fewer rights compared
- 6:10to professional financiers.
- 6:13In crypto movement, Bitcoin is just under $67,000.
- 6:19Ethereum is $3,500.
- 6:22And Solana is $154.
- 6:28Moving on to a more local vibe.

- 7:12And now back to the show.
- 7:16Let's talk science.
- 7:18Supercapacitors, which combine battery design with capacitor physics, could soon surpass
- 7:23batteries in power efficiency.
- 7:26Unlike batteries, which deteriorate over time due to chemical reactions, supercapacitors
- 7:32store energy on the surface, preventing wear.
- 7:36New research by Ankur Gupta from the University of Colorado Boulder introduces a model to
- 7:41study supercapacitors more effectively, simulating thousands of charge-storing pores quickly.
- 7:48This advancement aims to enhance supercapacitor design, potentially revolutionizing energy
- 7:54storage with faster, more efficient energy release, ultimately improving the performance
- 7:59of devices from mobile phones to electric cars.
- 8:03And in entertainment news.
- 8:09Brian Steele, Young Thug's lead attorney, was held in contempt and taken into custody
- 8:14after accusing Judge Ural Glanville and prosecutors of an improper meeting with a key witness.
- 8:22Steele claimed the meeting with witness Kenneth Copeland involved coercion.
- 8:27The judge demanded Steele reveal his source for this information and, upon refusal, sentenced
- 8:33him to 20 days in jail to be served on weekends.
- 8:37The trial, already the longest in Georgia history, continues amidst these dramatic legal
- 8:42disputes.
- 8:43Well, alrighty folks, it's time for the quote of the day.
- 8:50And today, our quote comes from the award-winning director of ET, Steven Spielberg.
- 8:57And he said, Remember, science fiction's always been the
- 9:01kind of first-level alert to think about things to come.
- 9:05It's easier for an audience to take warnings from sci-fi without feeling that we're preaching
- 9:10to them.
- 9:12Every science fiction movie I've ever seen, anyone that's worth its weight in celluloid,
- 9:17warns us about things that ultimately come true.
- 9:22And that's a wrap for this morning.
- 9:24You can check out our Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok for some captivating aerial videos
