- 0:14SPEAKER_05: Welcome to Surviving Ish, the show where we attempt to navigate adulthood while wondering if we were all just experiencing the long, weird fever dream together.
- 0:25SPEAKER_05: More on that to come.
- 0:27SPEAKER_05: But we have our friend Ginny.
- 0:29SPEAKER_05: Um, I claim her as my best friend, but throughout editing several of the Unholier Podcast episodes, Jean gives a title to Several Other People, which is a conspiracy that we'll talk about at a later date.
- 0:40SPEAKER_05: I do have that scheduled.
- 0:42SPEAKER_05: But Ginny, my love.
- 0:43SPEAKER_05: You know I love you, David.
- 0:44SPEAKER_05: Every time I go to edit an episode, she's like, How many told you about a best friend?
- 0:48SPEAKER_05: I'm like, oh, and that like I set up and I'm so excited.
- 0:51SPEAKER_05: She's like, my best friend.
- 0:53SPEAKER_05: And I'm like, no, I've not heard about this one, Jenny.
- 0:56SPEAKER_05: Tell me about this one, Jenny.
- 0:58SPEAKER_05: Let's have a whole episode about this person, Jenny.
- 1:00SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 1:01SPEAKER_02: You know what, David?
- 1:02SPEAKER_02: It's fine.
- 1:03SPEAKER_02: I told you the other night you have it in writing.
- 1:05SPEAKER_02: You're my number one besties.
- 1:07SPEAKER_05: So I found the clip to promote this episode.
- 1:11SPEAKER_05: I will put money into TikTok to make sure everyone hears what you just said.
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: My other besties are gonna text me and be like, WTF.
- 1:22SPEAKER_05: Your other who?
- 1:23SPEAKER_02: My other besties.
- 1:24SPEAKER_05: Uh your other friends.
- 1:25SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 1:26SPEAKER_05: I love that that has become like an ongoing joke with us as well as anytime I can throw up your age, which Here we go.
- 1:33SPEAKER_02: You know what, David?
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: You are such a motivation for me because every time I turn uh an older age, I'm just gonna make sure that I am fitter than I was the year before.
- 1:48SPEAKER_02: I have more Botox in my face than I did the year before, and I just look better and younger at the same time.
- 1:55SPEAKER_02: And so I'm just gonna be like, you know what?
- 1:57SPEAKER_02: I own it.
- 1:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm turning 47 this year, guys.
- 2:00SPEAKER_02: So I have a little bit of work to do.
- 2:01SPEAKER_05: And the fact that this is gonna blow up my face because you're gonna be able to say, I'm turning 47 this year, David, and you're turning 32, and you look 47, and I look 32.
- 2:13SPEAKER_05: And I'm pissed.
- 2:15SPEAKER_05: The fact that wait.
- 2:17SPEAKER_02: Would a bestie say that though?
- 2:20SPEAKER_02: You're supposed to be like my hype person.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: You're supposed to be like, oh no, no, no, that that was hopping you.
- 2:25SPEAKER_05: That's saying that you look 32 and I look 47 when I claimed to be 32 and you were 47.
- 2:32SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay.
- 2:33SPEAKER_05: You know, so you're welcome.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: 32.
- 2:37SPEAKER_02: Oh god.
- 2:37SPEAKER_02: Oh, I wish I was 32.
- 2:39SPEAKER_05: Could you imagine?
- 2:41SPEAKER_05: And like it goes back into the whole, like, if I knew now or if I knew then what I didn't know now, I would kick ass at 32.
- 2:49SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 2:49SPEAKER_02: But are we gonna be saying the same thing about our current age when we're like 60?
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: Are we gonna be like, God, I wish we were 46 or 45 again?
- 3:00SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 3:00SPEAKER_05: I mean, my grandmother turns 87 this year, and you know, I had mentioned, you know, my age to her, and she's like, Oh my god, you're such a baby.
- 3:08SPEAKER_05: And I'm like, really?
- 3:09SPEAKER_05: But then, but then like I talked to my like 23-year-old nephew, and I'm like, Oh, you're such a baby.
- 3:14SPEAKER_05: And he's like, What?
- 3:15SPEAKER_05: I just legally became an adult.
- 3:18SPEAKER_05: So yeah, I think I think I think it's ongoing.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I do too.
- 3:23SPEAKER_02: And now that I'm living in Florida, I'm surrounded with old people, so I you know it's kind of nice to be like the youngest one in the group now because typically I'm the oldest one in the group.
- 3:34SPEAKER_02: I mean, even my husband Smitty is younger than me.
- 3:39SPEAKER_05: So but men age differently, and yeah, okay, I think it comes with like where you're at, right?
- 3:47SPEAKER_05: Like people tell me that I'm cute and I look younger than I am.
- 3:52SPEAKER_05: They they never guess my age in Knoxville, Tennessee.
- 3:55SPEAKER_05: But if I went to California, people are like, Papa over here, you know, like he looks like the the corn, what is that corn thing on your foot?
- 4:04SPEAKER_05: What is that?
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: It's called a bunion.
- 4:06SPEAKER_05: A bunion.
- 4:07SPEAKER_05: He looks like the bunion on my foot, is what they would say about me.
- 4:10SPEAKER_05: Like, I might be almost okay here, but if I go to like somewhere else or like oh look at him.
- 4:18SPEAKER_02: Oh, David, did we just discover a new nickname for you?
- 4:23SPEAKER_02: Because it's gonna stick.
- 4:25SPEAKER_02: I'm calling you Papa from now on.
- 4:27SPEAKER_05: Luckily, I'm the one that does the edits, and it was okay.
- 4:31SPEAKER_05: So, other than me being the ish that you're surviving this week, um what other ish are you surviving?
- 4:38SPEAKER_02: Uh, so this is sort of uh an ish I've had my entire life, and David has become privy to it uh recently.
- 4:49SPEAKER_02: So my hair is my ish.
- 4:53SPEAKER_05: Do I get to show the picture?
- 4:54SPEAKER_02: You can do whatever you want, David.
- 4:56SPEAKER_02: I'm I am an open book.
- 4:59SPEAKER_02: I just do like I'm at the age where I'm just like, I just do not care.
- 5:04SPEAKER_02: Um, and this is who I am.
- 5:06SPEAKER_02: And you know what?
- 5:07SPEAKER_02: I guarantee you there are women out there who deal with the same thing that I do.
- 5:13SPEAKER_02: And so my so let me explain my ish um to those listening.
- 5:19SPEAKER_02: My ish is my hair.
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: I am predominantly Welsh and Scotch-Irish.
- 5:26SPEAKER_02: I am the only one in my family who has my type of hair.
- 5:31SPEAKER_02: Um I've had I got uh a grandmother who's deceased now, but she was a redhead, and my the only person in my family that became a redhead was my cousin Brett, who then had one daughter who also has red hair.
- 5:48SPEAKER_02: So he got the red-headed part of it.
- 5:51SPEAKER_02: Nobody else in the family has red hair.
- 5:53SPEAKER_02: I, however, got the curly hair part of it, and I know it doesn't look like it, but this is a process.
- 6:02SPEAKER_02: It's a can I say motherfucking?
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: Yes, we can say other than because this is a motherfucking process right here, as you see.
- 6:10SPEAKER_02: Um half of my hair is mine, and the other half has been purchased from Amazon Prime, so it's fine.
- 6:17SPEAKER_02: Um I recognize my limitations, and I just, you know, I do what I can to make myself feel good and normal like the rest of society, but my hair is so flipping curly, and I'm a white chick, okay?
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: Uh this is like, I feel like it's just um it's the cross that I have been given to bear.
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: And so I sent David a picture.
- 6:43SPEAKER_02: What was it last week?
- 6:44SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I was gonna say, like, this is all brand new information to me.
- 6:47SPEAKER_05: Like, I've only seen your hair straight and perfect and beautiful.
- 6:52SPEAKER_05: I mean, you had extensions.
- 6:54SPEAKER_05: I did not know.
- 6:56SPEAKER_05: And and kind of a sidebar, there were times that you would, what is it you call the room that you get ready in?
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: Like your little uh oh well, my husband calls it the bump and paint shop.
- 7:07SPEAKER_05: Okay, yeah.
- 7:07SPEAKER_02: So he used to work for like a car place where they would do like they would fix up cars and you know, paint and all that, and they would call it the bump and paint shop.
- 7:18SPEAKER_02: Well, he calls the bathroom my bump and paint shop because I've got like makeup everywhere and skincare and hair care and all this stuff everywhere, and he's like, it's the bump and paint shop.
- 7:28SPEAKER_02: So it just that's what it is.
- 7:31SPEAKER_05: Well, and you had first sent me that um uh in a text message one time, I mean months ago when we first started becoming friends.
- 7:40SPEAKER_02: And wait, we've been friends longer than a few months.
- 7:42SPEAKER_02: What are you talking about?
- 7:44SPEAKER_05: Well, well, no, no, no, yeah, but it but it yeah, I probably didn't use the right words, but there was a a time when you first used that verbiage with me, and I was like, I feel like I know what this means.
- 7:54SPEAKER_05: Um, but obviously it's some kind of like joke or whatever.
- 7:58SPEAKER_05: So I'm gonna ask any questions, and then you sort of would use it on you're like, oh yeah, you can call me now.
- 8:05SPEAKER_05: Like I'm I'm getting ready in the paint and buff shop or whatever, but then wouldn't be on the phone for an hour and a half, and and I wouldn't think anything of it.
- 8:12SPEAKER_05: And then you sent me a picture last week and you're like, Did you know about this?
- 8:16SPEAKER_05: And I was like, Oh, and you're like, This is what the buffet, what is it, buff and paint bump and paint shop, yeah.
- 8:24SPEAKER_05: And I was like, No wonder we're able to be on the phone for an hour and a half to two hours at a time.
- 8:29SPEAKER_05: Oh god, yeah, and you do it fucking daily.
- 8:32SPEAKER_05: And I had no clue.
- 8:34SPEAKER_05: Your other best friends probably did, but I didn't.
- 8:37SPEAKER_02: They did.
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: Well, my other best friend, Brenda, she's known me since college, and so has my other best friend Chrissy, who has also known me since college.
- 8:47SPEAKER_02: So it's like when you live in the dorm with each other, then you see the routines that y'all go through like on a daily, and it's just it's been a process, and you know, if it was the 80s, I would have maybe embraced it because everyone else would be paying money at the salon to have hair like this, but it is not the 80s, that hair is no longer in style.
- 9:11SPEAKER_02: Like, y'all, have you ever seen the movie Annie?
- 9:16SPEAKER_02: Because if you have, you know, the classic Annie, that is my hair.
- 9:20SPEAKER_02: No lie, David.
- 9:22SPEAKER_02: Can you confirm this?
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: Well, it's very close.
- 9:26SPEAKER_05: I mean, as far as the Jurassic curls, yes, but I feel like hers is very uh uh structured, uh like put there as to where yours is and and and I want to say, like, you're always stunning, you know.
- 9:42SPEAKER_05: Like no no doubt about that.
- 9:46SPEAKER_05: But your hair is like mid-bat, and then I'm getting pictures of it like an inch or two above your shoulder, like in between your ears and your shoulder, like once when it's natural.
- 9:58SPEAKER_02: But to be fair, so if I was to take it and pull it straight, it would be close to what not no no no.
- 10:08SPEAKER_05: I'm not saying it's because of extensions, yeah.
- 10:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's just crazy how you know.
- 10:15SPEAKER_02: I call myself a wizard because it truly is uh something that you have to, you can't just go into this hair and and think you know what you're doing.
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: Usually, if I go to a salon, they're like in their head, they're thinking, okay, we're tacking on a um a PIA at the end of this bill.
- 10:38SPEAKER_02: And if you don't know what a PIA means, it means pain in the ass, pain in the ass fee, because my hair is literally a pain in the ass.
- 10:47SPEAKER_02: So what I did was I'm scared to do it.
- 10:51SPEAKER_02: And if somebody could like maybe like comment or message us to tell me if I should be doing this or not, but I legit went on Amazon and I ordered like a bulk of relaxer, the whole damn box.
- 11:07SPEAKER_02: Like, I thought you were there's like several in a box because I'm like, I'm gonna try this, and it's for it's for African American hair.
- 11:15SPEAKER_02: But I'm like, I am a white girl that has that kind of hair.
- 11:19SPEAKER_02: I feel like I'm related to Stephen Bartlett.
- 11:22SPEAKER_02: Well, so it's my maiden name.
- 11:24SPEAKER_05: So like my younger brother, Brandon, he has darker skin.
- 11:29SPEAKER_05: Um, and he has what has been described as African American features.
- 11:35SPEAKER_05: He has the lips that I pay money for every six months.
- 11:39SPEAKER_05: And and he has um coarse hair that that that it that that's curly, you know, and and absolutely we mean that as a compliment, right?
- 11:49SPEAKER_05: But it's like, where did he get the features and things that I'm paying money for to have, you know?
- 11:58SPEAKER_05: And and he doesn't give a fuck about it.
- 12:00SPEAKER_05: He wakes up, he who cares?
- 12:02SPEAKER_05: He doesn't care if he even puts on the brand, he may brush his teeth and everyone just falls all over him.
- 12:08SPEAKER_05: I brush my teeth, I shower daily, my clothes are pressed, I make sure I'm gelled, and people are like, I wouldn't turn my head for you, but I don't look at you in repulsiveness, you know?
- 12:20SPEAKER_05: And so, so it but like we did like this family historical like tracking, and like our like 10th great grandfather, which is gonna happen in a lot of uh our ideologies, uh, but our like 10th great grandfather um was a black man, yeah, and my brother features him and looks like him when you put the pictures together than he does any of the the current um uh family members.
- 12:54SPEAKER_02: And you know, in like technology and everything shows that like you can um I pick up a gene from like I definitely must have done that somewhere along the line because no one else got this hair, except for me and now all of my kids.
- 13:09SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 13:11SPEAKER_02: Yes, all three of my kids had to straighten their hair?
- 13:15SPEAKER_02: No, they just Camden, you know, he keeps it short, so you can't really tell.
- 13:19SPEAKER_02: But if he were to grow it out, I mean he had very curly hair as a little baby.
- 13:23SPEAKER_02: Um, Ava and Paige both have very long hair and it's curly.
- 13:28SPEAKER_02: Um you know, if you look at pictures of me from high school, I had the long big hair.
- 13:34SPEAKER_02: I mean, it was in, it was in style.
- 13:36SPEAKER_05: That's what was in.
- 13:37SPEAKER_05: Because when you when you sent me a picture today, I was like, oh my gosh, like because you talked about your mom, right?
- 13:42SPEAKER_05: And you're like, my mom would have she made a lot of money to have hair like this.
- 13:45SPEAKER_05: I was like, yeah, like some of my favorite pictures of my mom was hair was frizzed to Jesus with some Aquanet and Oh, and and people were my parents had me, my mom was 14 when she had me.
- 13:59SPEAKER_05: And so growing up, like the neighborhood older boys, like my friends, um, brothers or fathers were like, Who's your sister?
- 14:08SPEAKER_05: And I'm like, that's my mama, yeah, yeah.
- 14:12SPEAKER_05: And honey, but that hair and and the the cheek makeup, it's like the bigger the better back then.
- 14:18SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, please bring that back so that I can just give my hair a rest, please.
- 14:23SPEAKER_02: But I the difference between me and like the typical like African-American hair, which is beautiful in its own right, right?
- 14:33SPEAKER_02: Right, but is their theirs is coarse, mine is super fine, very fine and soft, and so that's why I'm a little bit hesitant to use this relaxer because I'm like, is it gonna be is it gonna damage my hair to where I'd have to like cut it shorter and then I would have a str like a true afro?
- 14:55SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm already having a hard time, guys.
- 14:57SPEAKER_02: I'm in Florida now.
- 14:59SPEAKER_02: The humidity is crazy, and it's not even summertime right now when we're recording.
- 15:05SPEAKER_02: So I just I I just am thinking of all the ways that I can tame this main.
- 15:14SPEAKER_05: So the producer's emailing me, and by producer, I mean uh me.
- 15:17SPEAKER_05: But emailing myself saying we have to video document this all in real time.
- 15:23SPEAKER_05: Uh we're going viral, is what I've just said on here.
- 15:27SPEAKER_02: You know what?
- 15:28SPEAKER_02: We should do it.
- 15:29SPEAKER_02: We should do like a time lapse of me at the beach because every time I go to the beach, it's because you're getting that like ocean mist comes through.
- 15:38SPEAKER_02: Even if you can't feel it, you're still getting like my hair is still getting that like moisture, right?
- 15:45SPEAKER_02: From just being on the beach.
- 15:47SPEAKER_02: And so you can see like my extensions will stay nice if the top layer of my hair just gets it gets crazy, and I end up having to like pull it back real tight because I'm like, oh my gosh, this is people are gonna recognize uh what's up with her hair.
- 16:04SPEAKER_02: It doesn't look like that.
- 16:05SPEAKER_05: So, like if you went to sleep right now for the night and you woke up tomorrow, would your hair still look like that?
- 16:11SPEAKER_05: Or would you have would it does it only does it only get that curly like after you like wash it?
- 16:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:19SPEAKER_02: And also if I go outside in the humidity, it will get back like that.
- 16:24SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but um be woke up in the morning to take your kids to school, you'd have to put on like a ball cap or put your hair in a ponytail.
- 16:31SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, definitely, yeah, definitely, yes.
- 16:34SPEAKER_02: Um, so I usually do I usually wash my hair like every two to three days just because it it is such a process.
- 16:42SPEAKER_02: So when I wake up the next day, I will just do a blowout.
- 16:47SPEAKER_02: I'll turn my head over, you know, and do a blowout.
- 16:51SPEAKER_02: I have a big round brush that I do.
- 16:53SPEAKER_02: I learned that from the salon.
- 16:55SPEAKER_02: They do the blowout and then I'll take my straightener and straighten any pieces that maybe don't want to cooperate, and then I'll put my extensions in.
- 17:03SPEAKER_02: And my now I have learned that extensions from a salon are not something that I can do because I straighten my hair and then I put my extensions in.
- 17:13SPEAKER_02: If I left my hair natural, I know they have extensions for girls with natural curly hair, but I don't want my hair to look like that.
- 17:22SPEAKER_02: So if I want it to be nice and smooth and shiny and straight, I have to get the clip-on extensions.
- 17:28SPEAKER_02: And that's what I do.
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: I I just I get them from Amazon, it's a real hair.
- 17:33SPEAKER_05: And where I just said they look good, like I you can wash them, you style them.
- 17:37SPEAKER_05: I didn't know that you had extensions for the longest time.
- 17:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 17:40SPEAKER_02: So you can get them from Amazon for like 40 bucks.
- 17:44SPEAKER_02: And this is the thing, like, I don't want to gatekeep because I feel like girlies like me who deal with this, they need to know this information.
- 17:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: Um, because it's a struggle, it really is.
- 17:55SPEAKER_02: And so the girls that are or guys who go to the salon and get like the really high-end extensions and they pay like a thousand or two thousand dollars.
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: Oh, good for them.
- 18:06SPEAKER_02: They're beautiful, it's great.
- 18:08SPEAKER_02: I wish I could do that.
- 18:09SPEAKER_02: But the if I did that, I spent all that money and then I went and washed my hair, my actual hair, and then underneath where the extensions weren't, it would it wouldn't match.
- 18:22SPEAKER_02: It just would be really, really difficult to maintain and style and all the things.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: And I just know that, so I just don't even bother.
- 18:31SPEAKER_02: And my husband's happy about it because it's only 40-50 bucks on Amazon versus like a thousand or two thousand in NSL.
- 18:39SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 18:40SPEAKER_05: And as long as Spinny's happy, we're all happy.
- 18:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, exactly.
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: And I mean, I've done the whole, you know, bob cut, I've done all the things, and I just I don't know.
- 18:52SPEAKER_02: It's just not for me, at least not really.
- 18:54SPEAKER_01: No, I left your hair long, yeah, yeah.
- 18:57SPEAKER_02: I went through that phase, and maybe eventually I'll go back into it.
- 19:02SPEAKER_02: I do love a good bob, but again, my hair is super fine, so I really don't have like a ton of volume, you know, and I feel like the extensions give me that.
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: So, anyways, enough rambling about my hair.
- 19:16SPEAKER_02: That's my ish.
- 19:17SPEAKER_02: My hair is my ish forever.
- 19:19SPEAKER_05: Well, thanks for joining uh the episode today, guys.
- 19:22SPEAKER_05: That's all we that's all we got time for.
- 19:24SPEAKER_05: I'm just kidding.
- 19:25SPEAKER_05: Um, like I have this thing, like I like my hair when it's long.
- 19:29SPEAKER_05: Like I used to have like so back when I was a bartender 25 years ago, there was a movie called The High School Musical with Zach Efron that came out.
- 19:38SPEAKER_05: And he had a certain kind of like swish haircut, and so did I.
- 19:43SPEAKER_05: And people would always say that I looked like him.
- 19:46SPEAKER_05: And I like my hair when it's long, like and when I mean long, I've never had it like done on my shoulders or anything like that, but I mean like long on my face, but as long as it like comes down past my nose.
- 19:59SPEAKER_05: The in-between stage is not cute.
- 20:03SPEAKER_02: Oh, I know, yeah.
- 20:04SPEAKER_05: And so so I have baby, I have a lot of hair, but it's all baby fine, and it's very, very, very straight.
- 20:16SPEAKER_05: The straightest thing about me is my hair, you know.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: I'm so jealous.
- 20:21SPEAKER_05: Well, and and so it's like I have to have my hair short.
- 20:24SPEAKER_05: Um, and I even like the way that it looked in in a buzz cut.
- 20:28SPEAKER_05: Um if I wanted to grow my hair out, I there's just a middle stage that takes a year to fucking get through.
- 20:38SPEAKER_05: And and I can't do it.
- 20:40SPEAKER_05: And and but my hair isn't long enough or thick enough, and I'm a boy to where I can't really have put in enough extension.
- 20:50SPEAKER_05: Uh the the I can't find the extension place on my head to add it um to get me through that middle stage without it looking an extension.
- 21:02SPEAKER_05: So you have to keep my hair short.
- 21:04SPEAKER_02: You can always wear a wig.
- 21:05SPEAKER_05: I bought several.
- 21:06SPEAKER_02: Well, I was gonna say, I mean, a lot of people do wigs too, especially when they're like in the in-between stages, and uh but I know exactly what you mean because I went through a phase, you know?
- 21:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's true.
- 21:18SPEAKER_02: I know, but um, they have some like really legit wigs now that look super realistic.
- 21:24SPEAKER_02: I know um there's a trend going on right now, and I actually I'm not big on trends as far as like social media, but I did jump on this bandwagon because I started looking at old pictures and I was like crying the other day.
- 21:36SPEAKER_02: This like 2016 trend because it's a decade, right?
- 21:42SPEAKER_02: And oh my god, I'm just like, what was I thinking?
- 21:46SPEAKER_02: I cut so I had my son Camden the the fall prior to 2016, so in October of uh 2015.
- 21:55SPEAKER_02: And for whatever reason, right before I had him, I decided it would be a good idea.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: To cut bangs.
- 22:01SPEAKER_02: I don't know why I was pregnant and hormonal.
- 22:04SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 22:05SPEAKER_02: Um, so you know my hair, David.
- 22:08SPEAKER_02: So it's like curly girl hair doesn't go with bangs.
- 22:12SPEAKER_02: And so you're I was constantly fooling with them.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: I was always straightening them and I was always messing with them.
- 22:17SPEAKER_02: And then it's like then I was trying to get them to grow out, like you.
- 22:22SPEAKER_05: Because I guess, and forgive my ignorance, but I'm assuming that when you cut the bangs, you had your hair straight the way that you like it.
- 22:28SPEAKER_05: So if you cut it to your eyebrows, when it curls, it's going straight to your hairline.
- 22:33SPEAKER_05: Okay, okay.
- 22:34SPEAKER_02: You know it, yes.
- 22:36SPEAKER_02: But I had my trusty round roller brush and my, you know, my blow dryer and my straightener and all the things.
- 22:44SPEAKER_02: But still, if I was to go out in any kind of humidity whatsoever, it was like, oh, yeah, forget about it.
- 22:54SPEAKER_02: I mean, I'm looking like, you know, I'm looking like the bangs I had in high school where you would actually take bangs, you'd curl them backwards and have the big like, you know, that was me.
- 23:04SPEAKER_02: I'm like, I don't want to bring this back.
- 23:07SPEAKER_02: I'm not the one to do it.
- 23:09SPEAKER_05: What makes me so happy is I want you to remember this conversation because uh to the listener, I love, love, love, love The Real Housewives.
- 23:17SPEAKER_05: Um most of the franchises I like.
- 23:21SPEAKER_05: Um, a girlfriend of mine and I who has another podcast, um, she and I have been planning for a while to uh do an episode together where we talk about like our favorite like top 10, and we're scheduling that.
- 23:33SPEAKER_05: But Jeannie has made a friend who accidentally ran into a person who works for the Royal Housewives of Utah or Salt Lake City, which is one of my favorites.
- 23:47SPEAKER_05: They um this past week, um, at the time of the recording, uh, they uh I just finished watching um episode one of the reunion, and the reunions are always my favorite.
- 24:00SPEAKER_05: So but a season or two ago, there's uh um okay, so I got ahead of myself.
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: So you can't give me any spoilers though.
- 24:09SPEAKER_05: Well, well, this spoiler isn't gonna be like a spoiled spoiler.
- 24:12SPEAKER_05: Like it's not one of those.
- 24:14SPEAKER_05: Um, but to the listener, Ginny had never watched Salt Lake City.
- 24:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I've never seen Salt Lake City, yeah.
- 24:22SPEAKER_05: And uh so she told me about this a friend of hers and and their run-in connection.
- 24:26SPEAKER_05: I was like, oh my god, you never watch it, you gotta watch it.
- 24:29SPEAKER_05: And because of Ginny's Unholier Podcast, I was like, we've got to talk about Heather Gay, the the Mormon religion, her deconstructing her book.
- 24:38SPEAKER_05: Uh, we need to watch And Mary Crosby.
- 24:41SPEAKER_05: And Mary Crosby, are you kidding me?
- 24:43SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 24:43SPEAKER_05: Um, so uh, so so there's a little teaser for the future.
- 24:48SPEAKER_05: However, um, this is gonna be a funny thing for anyone who has watched it, knows what I'm talking about.
- 24:53SPEAKER_05: But there's a person on their name Meredith, and I have a love-hate relationship with Meredith, but they had this um, I can't remember what kind of like costume party it was.
- 25:03SPEAKER_05: They had to wear wigs, and Meredith wore this wig and it wasn't on properly.
- 25:08SPEAKER_05: And I think it was like, I think it was like maybe season four, three, or four.
- 25:17SPEAKER_05: And the wig wasn't styled beautifully, and and Meredith is a beautiful woman, but she's one of those where like her hair has to like me, like in order to be presentable, my hair has to be perfect.
- 25:29SPEAKER_05: Like your hair, like I'm the kind of person like my hair will make her break me.
- 25:33SPEAKER_05: If one hair is out of place, I look like a train wreck.
- 25:36SPEAKER_02: I hear you, yes.
- 25:37SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, I get it.
- 25:39SPEAKER_05: Meredith was trying to have this um this intense conversationslash fight where she was trying to be dominant with this wig.
- 25:50SPEAKER_05: Oh my god, the bangs, no way, dude.
- 25:55SPEAKER_05: I cannot wait for you to see it.
- 25:57SPEAKER_05: Oh so the minute.
- 25:59SPEAKER_02: I feel like I need to binge just to see that.
- 26:02SPEAKER_05: The minute you get to that one, we have to have a talk about it.
- 26:05SPEAKER_05: What I would love is um, so my friend Jenny, who is the host of Speculating Wildly About Crime, who's been a guest on on uh uh surviving ish, she and I and a group of people uh started out doing SWAC, speculating wildly about crime.
- 26:24SPEAKER_05: And just because like life and things happen, uh, and so many of us had our own podcast that we started going in different directions.
- 26:30SPEAKER_05: Well, Ginny, who is the founder of SWAC kept it, she brought in a new co-host.
- 26:35SPEAKER_05: Her co-host doesn't watch any of the housewives.
- 26:38SPEAKER_05: Ginny and I are obsessed with most of and hate the same ones.
- 26:44SPEAKER_05: Yeah, so when I was on there speculating Molly about crime, we had talked about uh introducing the housewives to her co-host and given our top 10 favorites.
- 26:57SPEAKER_05: How cool would it be, Jenny, if we involved you in that mix?
- 27:01SPEAKER_02: And oh my god, that would be so fun!
- 27:04SPEAKER_05: It would be so fun.
- 27:05SPEAKER_05: So you gotta watch, and they want to go live with us too.
- 27:08SPEAKER_05: So um they had they have a they have a nice following, they're lovely.
- 27:12SPEAKER_05: So we've gotta plan something.
- 27:13SPEAKER_05: Okay, so yeah, with that being said, I'm gonna get into my ish, Jenny, because my ish is going to be a story that I've been struggling with the past several weeks that I've shared with no one, and I'm the kind of person that I'm an open book.
- 27:27SPEAKER_05: But if someone finds something out about me, or if I share something with someone that isn't current relevant news in my life, there's a couple of different reasons why.
- 27:36SPEAKER_05: And it's usually because I'm terrified.
- 27:39SPEAKER_05: And um, because I'm I'm truly an open book, you know.
- 27:42SPEAKER_05: Um my ish is conspiracy theories.
- 27:45SPEAKER_05: It's never been an ish before until I feel like I'm now a part of one.
- 27:49SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 27:50SPEAKER_05: And so the listener knows, Jeannie and I we go live with Unholier um on TikTok.
- 27:56SPEAKER_05: Uh, we'll be branching out um on other nights, sometimes the same nights, um, follow all of our socials, but we go live um as of the time of the recording, mostly on TikTok on Tuesdays for Unholier Tuesdays, and we talk about cult-like stuff.
- 28:11SPEAKER_05: But sometimes we would do different topics and we would have like conspiracy theory, you know, Thursdays or whatever.
- 28:20SPEAKER_05: And you know, because of life and holidays, we kind of stopped doing that.
- 28:25SPEAKER_05: Um but so about two months ago, and I've literally never said this to anyone, about two months ago, I was driving home from work and I'm a fast driver, and I've got to this exit that I passed, and I know that it that it's time for me to get out of the fast lane and into the slow lane because it's about to be the next exit is for my home.
- 28:48SPEAKER_05: And as soon as I got over into that lane, I had this vision of my car rolling and that I didn't make it.
- 28:57SPEAKER_05: And I um have actually dreamed about it a couple of times since then.
- 29:02SPEAKER_05: And since that date, I won't think about this until I get to that exit.
- 29:07SPEAKER_05: And it's not just a dream that crosses my mind, it's a feeling.
- 29:12SPEAKER_05: And and within the mile from that exit that notifies me to get over because my exit's coming.
- 29:19SPEAKER_05: There's a mile.
- 29:20SPEAKER_05: And within that mile, I hear a car crash every time, every day.
- 29:26SPEAKER_05: I see my car tumbling.
- 29:28SPEAKER_05: I know that I don't make it, and I've been able to just ride it off, you know.
- 29:33SPEAKER_05: Um, and I'll even say, you know, when I was a child, I was in a horrific car accident.
- 29:38SPEAKER_05: I was, you know, my family was hit by a giant driver.
- 29:40SPEAKER_05: It killed three people in my car.
- 29:41SPEAKER_05: And it almost gave me this Superman syndrome of I can't die in a car accident now because that one didn't kill me.
- 29:49SPEAKER_05: So 20 years later, 30 years later, God, the universe, whatever is not gonna take me out via a car accident.
- 29:54SPEAKER_05: If they're if you if that was the plan, they'd have done it 30 years ago, you know, which is not a good syndrome.
- 30:01SPEAKER_05: I mean, syndrome is good, but that that I'm I'm not able to avoid and be reckless, right?
- 30:08SPEAKER_05: And I I just keep having situations in the past several weeks since that thought of of me being in a car accident.
- 30:17SPEAKER_05: Um I keep having thoughts of or or deja vues of things daily repeating itself, and it's not just around the car accident, but daily I'm like, I fucking did this yesterday.
- 30:33SPEAKER_05: I did this yesterday, I did this yesterday.
- 30:36SPEAKER_05: Now I will say that there a lot of them are things that I would have done yesterday or the day before because there's repetition with work, but but it's sending out to me more.
- 30:50SPEAKER_05: And then after a couple of weeks of this, I was like driving home and I got to that area, and something just hit me that that told me that that car accident happened and that I died, and that this is me reliving the things.
- 31:08SPEAKER_05: And I know it sounds silly, I know it sounds silly, right?
- 31:12SPEAKER_05: But it it's like just so many weird things keep happening.
- 31:15SPEAKER_05: Okay and I can be laying in bed in the middle of the night and be like, oh my god, and I'm back in the hallway, you know, like there's just something like I feel like this timeline of mine has collided with something.
- 31:30SPEAKER_05: Okay, and I know it sounds so silly, and this will this will be where either people will like me or hate me, and I get that, right?
- 31:37SPEAKER_05: But um I I will realistically say I I know that I'm probably just in my head with it, but then last night woke up from a dream and I couldn't sleep.
- 31:49SPEAKER_05: Uh I couldn't go back to sleep after the dream because the dream was this between these two exits.
- 31:54SPEAKER_05: I could see myself rolling the car.
- 31:57SPEAKER_05: I could I could see myself like um like I had this vision that I've had for multiple weeks of uh cops looking at my phone to see if I was texting because they wanted to tell my parents, well, he was texting this time, so it was his fault.
- 32:14SPEAKER_05: You know?
- 32:14SPEAKER_05: Um and I don't text and drive.
- 32:17SPEAKER_05: Uh so so I just keep I ha every time that I start to get close to this exit, something happens to my stomach.
- 32:24SPEAKER_05: And in the past like two weeks, when I get close to that exit, I have to turn the radio or podcast or whatever listening off.
- 32:33SPEAKER_05: I have to drive through in silence.
- 32:34SPEAKER_05: I slow down and I'm a fast driver.
- 32:37SPEAKER_05: We've had a podcast about I'm doing speed limit and I'm terrified.
- 32:43SPEAKER_05: And I can't figure out what the fuck.
- 32:46SPEAKER_05: Last night was I went to bed kind of early and um I woke up from a dream where it felt like I was hearing those sounds or whatever.
- 33:02SPEAKER_05: And I was like, all right, let me just turn on my TikTok and uh get it out of my head.
- 33:08SPEAKER_05: My TikTok was about a conspiracy.
- 33:10SPEAKER_02: About this type of thing.
- 33:13SPEAKER_05: The very first thing I swear to you, and Ginny, you know, I tell you everything.
- 33:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 33:19SPEAKER_05: And I've never mentioned this to you because it's one of those things where it's like it sounds too crazy, this can't be real, like I'm in my head like UTF.
- 33:28SPEAKER_05: You know, it's one thing to follow conspiracy theories, it's one thing to think that you're a part of, you know.
- 33:34SPEAKER_05: But then another conspiracy theory is that your iPhone listens to you.
- 33:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but have you you said you haven't told anyone, so no, but I've researched.
- 33:43SPEAKER_02: Okay, you have researched.
- 33:44SPEAKER_05: So I've Googled, I've researched.
- 33:46SPEAKER_05: I mean, what the fuck is because I can think about that mile exit and start and like tears will swell up in my eyes.
- 33:56SPEAKER_05: I feel nothing, I feel no pain, but but I hear, I hear, I hear the crash.
- 34:01SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I hear something.
- 34:03SPEAKER_05: Like I would almost at this point put money on the fact that the crash happened and I died.
- 34:09SPEAKER_05: Like that's how real it feels and sounds.
- 34:12SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and so but for weeks I've been googling things and like trying to find things, not necessarily using TikTok.
- 34:22SPEAKER_05: Um, but last night I opened up TikTok because I can go back to sleep, and the first thing that pops up is Project Looking Glass.
- 34:31SPEAKER_02: Oh, yes, I am familiar with this.
- 34:34SPEAKER_05: I wasn't.
- 34:36SPEAKER_05: I wasn't.
- 34:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 34:38SPEAKER_02: So I have a couple things to say first before continuing the series.
- 34:42SPEAKER_05: Please, because I've got a couple things to drink about.
- 34:44SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 34:44SPEAKER_02: First and foremost, um, it doesn't sound silly, and you're not like hallucinating or anything like that.
- 34:52SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 34:53SPEAKER_02: Uh secondly, uh, they have had thoughts like that too.
- 34:57SPEAKER_02: And Smitty and I have talked about this.
- 35:00SPEAKER_02: Smitty is my husband, uh, for those listening.
- 35:03SPEAKER_02: Um, he would have for the longest time, for years, I I want to say like at least a decade, he had the same dream over and over and over again, where he was swinging on some rope and hitting a red barn.
- 35:20SPEAKER_02: Once he hit the barn, he said he could tell all the details about the barn.
- 35:24SPEAKER_02: All he knows is once he hit the barn, he would wake up and he said that he would get jolted out of his sleep and it would every single time he had this dream, and he knew that when he hit the barn, that he died.
- 35:39SPEAKER_02: Like that was like his, you know, death, you know, so to speak.
- 35:43SPEAKER_02: And the weird thing is, is what I went to a medium once.
- 35:48SPEAKER_02: Uh, one of my really good friends was very much into that kind of thing.
- 35:53SPEAKER_02: And, you know, if you have listened to my story at all, you know that I was not raised around anything like that because that was considered demonic in the cult that I was raised in.
- 36:03SPEAKER_02: They would look at mediums, psychics, clairvoyance, any kind of mystical thing like that, or even like doing yoga was considered demonic.
- 36:14SPEAKER_02: Like you're inviting in yoga.
- 36:17SPEAKER_04: Okay, I've heard about that yoga, yeah.
- 36:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it could be meditating and you're like basically releasing all this.
- 36:26SPEAKER_02: They don't believe that you should, they considered it opening yourself up.
- 36:31SPEAKER_02: And so when you're like, I'm releasing all of this bad energy, they think you're opening yourself up.
- 36:37SPEAKER_02: It's like, no, bitch, I'm just releasing all the bad energy that I'm getting from y'all.
- 36:41SPEAKER_05: Like, I don't do the gems, I don't do the things.
- 36:44SPEAKER_05: So if there was one thing I had to pick out of everything that you just said that was demonic that I'm staying away from, it is the yoga.
- 36:50SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 36:51SPEAKER_05: Justified love at it's demonic.
- 36:53SPEAKER_05: I hate it.
- 36:54SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 36:55SPEAKER_05: I would want to see a sake tomorrow.
- 36:57SPEAKER_02: Yoga is so good though.
- 36:58SPEAKER_02: But, anyways, so I went to this medium um after I left the cult um with my girlfriend, and she was, I didn't even know what to do.
- 37:09SPEAKER_02: Like, I didn't know what to expect.
- 37:10SPEAKER_02: Is she gonna have like crystals everywhere?
- 37:12SPEAKER_02: Is there gonna be a seance?
- 37:13SPEAKER_02: Is there gonna be a Ouija board?
- 37:14SPEAKER_02: I have no idea.
- 37:15SPEAKER_02: I'm kind of freaked out.
- 37:16SPEAKER_02: I'm having a little bit of a panic attack.
- 37:18SPEAKER_02: And it literally was this cute old lady with her dog in a room in her house.
- 37:24SPEAKER_02: And we just I went in and sat down on the couch, and she said, you know, could my dog come over and like greet you and kind of get your vibe and everything.
- 37:35SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, sure, I love animals.
- 37:37SPEAKER_02: And so the dog was really sweet, and then the dog greeted me and then went back over to her, and then she did this really beautiful prayer type of thing that she said, and um, and then she just took a few deep breaths and then she just started telling me all this stuff.
- 37:56SPEAKER_02: She wasn't like speaking, like my grandmother's voice wasn't like coming out of her.
- 38:01SPEAKER_02: There was no weird sounds, there wasn't anything creepy about it, it was very beautiful, and she was a lovely person, and so I had a great experience.
- 38:10SPEAKER_02: Now, one of the things that she did tell me was this is my second life, uh, which I was shocked to learn.
- 38:17SPEAKER_02: I didn't even think we would go into any of that, and plus I wasn't, I wasn't exposed to any of this stuff, so I didn't even like reincarnation, multiple lives.
- 38:30SPEAKER_02: That was like something that was like, it's pretty much voodoo the in the way I was raised.
- 38:35SPEAKER_02: It was thought of as like wicked, don't think about that.
- 38:38SPEAKER_02: But there were questions, even in my upbringing, that I started thinking.
- 38:43SPEAKER_02: And my dad would say in a wedding ceremony, he would hold up like the wedding ring, and he would say, This wedding ring is a circle, and a circle represents eternity because there's no beginning and no ending.
- 38:58SPEAKER_02: And he was talking about marriage, right?
- 39:01SPEAKER_02: But he was also in, he didn't know this, but inadvertently, because my mind works this way, I started daydreaming off because I was like, I've been to a million weddings and I'm sitting here in this wedding ceremony, and he's saying this for like the 15th millionth time.
- 39:15SPEAKER_02: And finally, I'm like thinking, I started thinking about time, and I started thinking about well, if a circle is no beginning, no ending, then time has to be a circle.
- 39:29SPEAKER_02: And maybe we just go into this cycle and out of this cycle, and we've got this continuous cycle going on.
- 39:37SPEAKER_02: Now, none of that has been proven as far as I'm concerned or that I know of.
- 39:42SPEAKER_02: But when the medium told me that I had already had a life before that, she also told me how I died in my first life, which was a little creepy.
- 39:52SPEAKER_05: I want to hear it.
- 39:53SPEAKER_05: I want to hear it.
- 39:54SPEAKER_02: She told me that I died by drowning, which is crazy because I'm not a good swimmer and I really don't like what is your relationship with water?
- 40:03SPEAKER_02: I don't like water.
- 40:05SPEAKER_02: I will swim.
- 40:06SPEAKER_02: Smitty knows this about me.
- 40:08SPEAKER_02: If I go in the ocean, I'm going up to my knees, I'm not going any higher than that.
- 40:12SPEAKER_02: If I go in the lake, it's the same type of thing.
- 40:14SPEAKER_02: And also lakes are gross and broken.
- 40:16SPEAKER_05: I was gonna say I would never do a lake.
- 40:19SPEAKER_02: We used to live on a lake, but I was like, I don't I don't do the ocean.
- 40:23SPEAKER_02: Like yeah, I'll do the ocean up to my knees, maybe like right above my knees, but I ain't going any further than that.
- 40:30SPEAKER_02: No, um, I will do a swimming pool, but I I'm just not a good swimmer, and it's like I do have that thought of what if I have a cramp and I'm in the deep end and nobody's out here and I can't swim and I'm like dead.
- 40:46SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 40:47SPEAKER_02: I like think of all this stuff.
- 40:49SPEAKER_02: I'm like, I'm so morbid, it's crazy.
- 40:51SPEAKER_02: Well, then when she told me this, I was like, that totally makes sense.
- 40:56SPEAKER_02: It totally makes sense.
- 40:57SPEAKER_02: So I do think that I do think that time is a loop.
- 41:01SPEAKER_02: I think that we live multiple lives, and I think that we just go it just as a cycle over and over and over again.
- 41:09SPEAKER_02: And I think that we're supposed to learn lessons along the way.
- 41:14SPEAKER_02: And if we don't learn those lessons the first time, that we have to go back and do it again.
- 41:20SPEAKER_02: Well, and I think that's where I think deja vu comes from, where our where there are times where our the way back memory will remember and we'll be like, I've been here before, I've done this before, I know this person.
- 41:36SPEAKER_02: And I think that's why, too, where sometimes we have really strong connections with people because I think we have met them before.
- 41:45SPEAKER_02: I think we do know them from previous lives.
- 41:48SPEAKER_02: We can't explain it, but like, isn't that what everybody says?
- 41:52SPEAKER_02: Like when you meet somebody and you have such a strong connection, I'm not even talking about like romantically, I'm talking about even just a friend or a person you meet like randomly at a store, and you're just like sometimes I don't even speak.
- 42:06SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it's just you can see someone in past me, like, I feel like I know you without even talking to them.
- 42:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yes, exactly.
- 42:13SPEAKER_02: And I mean, I must have I feel like I've had more than two lives because I have so many people who have come up to me and been like, You look so familiar.
- 42:20SPEAKER_02: Do I know you?
- 42:20SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, it's kind of annoying, honestly, at this point, because I'm just like, I must have a really familiar face.
- 42:25SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, God, how many lives have I had?
- 42:28SPEAKER_05: Like, oh not only lives, but how many fans?
- 42:32SPEAKER_02: Like, like, was I famous in one of my old lives?
- 42:35SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 42:36SPEAKER_05: So to to relate to what you were saying, um, there has been an ongoing uh jokeslash story with several of my friends for many years.
- 42:47SPEAKER_05: I mean, like back to my bartending days years of me saying that I feel like um when you are reincarnated, you're reincarnated with either a privilege you didn't have or a lack of privilege that maybe you had and took for granted.
- 43:03SPEAKER_05: You know, it's like if if I'm racist as a white man next life, I'm gonna be the black man, I'm gonna be the black woman, you know what I mean?
- 43:12SPEAKER_05: And it just to experience that and how maybe there is that ending is when you have accomplished the the loving all and accepting all, you know.
- 43:23SPEAKER_02: Um I love that theory though.
- 43:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because to me, how can we ultimately okay, let's think of it.
- 43:31SPEAKER_02: I just I had this thought as you were saying this.
- 43:34SPEAKER_02: Let's just say heaven is real for those listening.
- 43:38SPEAKER_02: Just just consider it for a moment, whether you believe or you don't.
- 43:42SPEAKER_02: If heaven is real and God dwells within heaven and there is no evil in heaven, and everything in heaven is good and whole and perfect, how can we enter until we are perfect?
- 43:57SPEAKER_02: So, to me, I feel like we do have.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: To go through multiple lifetimes, and like you said, maybe the next lifetime you do come back as somebody that maybe like a type of person that you've wronged, or somebody you were prejudiced against, or whatever.
- 44:13SPEAKER_02: And so then you can experience that and then overcome that, and then you're learning all these lessons, and until you've learned the lessons, you can't ascend up into like the perfect place because heaven, there's no bad person in heaven.
- 44:30SPEAKER_02: It's just like Smitty always says to me, if heaven is a place where your ex is going to be, you don't want to be there.
- 44:40SPEAKER_02: But then maybe heaven isn't that place.
- 44:42SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I'm saying?
- 44:44SPEAKER_02: Maybe we all have to continue into these lives and reincarnate until we get to the point where we've made those wrongs, right?
- 44:51SPEAKER_05: And so, ladies and gentlemen, this is why I'm making sure that I have no prejudices.
- 45:00SPEAKER_05: I have no judgment.
- 45:01SPEAKER_05: I love everyone because in today's world, I am a man with privilege.
- 45:07SPEAKER_05: And I've heard stories of people that don't have the same privilege as me.
- 45:11SPEAKER_05: And that's even speaking of as a as a gay man, right?
- 45:14SPEAKER_05: Like I still have a different kind of privilege.
- 45:16SPEAKER_05: I'm making sure I honor, protect, support that because I am terrified to come back and to be reincarnated in a world where what little bit of privilege I have right now is less than.
- 45:29SPEAKER_05: And if if things are hard for me now, imagine if I was a different gender or or a different color, you know?
- 45:38SPEAKER_02: And but maybe you already were though in a past life.
- 45:42SPEAKER_02: And that is why you're so loving and accepting of people, because you maybe already went through that in past lives that you're not aware of.
- 45:52SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 45:53SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and I love that you said that because there have been times I've watched like news or videos or whatever, nothing, nothing scripted, nothing made up, but you know, true authentic people.
- 46:04SPEAKER_05: Um what one one of the things I love right now is when the there's a few um like uh creators that will go up to, you know, maybe an older person and and say, hey, in in today's America, um, with versus where where the world was when you were my age versus where you are now because there's a 40-year difference, right?
- 46:29SPEAKER_05: Like, yeah, what do you see different?
- 46:31SPEAKER_05: And and there are those people that have those asshole answers at 80 years old, and you're like, You fucking asshole.
- 46:39SPEAKER_05: And then, and then you have people that like want to say, well, it's just because of their time and their generation, but then you have the next person on the street that's the same age, and they're like, Oh fuck that, you know, like like I'm so glad that that there's not segregation any longer.
- 46:57SPEAKER_05: Like, my grandchild is gay, and I love my great-grandfather, he was one of my biggest supporters.
- 47:04SPEAKER_05: He was one of the first ones to know I was gay.
- 47:07SPEAKER_05: He lived to be 101, you know.
- 47:09SPEAKER_05: Like, um, like he fought in World War II, like he was in a generation of time where homophobia and racism was accepted, but not in his house.
- 47:20SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 47:20SPEAKER_05: Homophobia and racism was not accepted in his house.
- 47:23SPEAKER_05: Period.
- 47:23SPEAKER_05: That's awesome, you know, and yeah, and and so like those are the people that I'm when when we think about these analogies of like, are they lot years ahead?
- 47:31SPEAKER_02: You know, I'm like or you can say, like, even uh I know.
- 47:36SPEAKER_02: Well, you think about it, like I've I've had people say about um two of my kids, both of my daughters, people have said to me their whole life, she's an old soul, she's an old soul, she's and and it's like maybe she is, because it's it does seem like for whatever reason, my two girls are a little bit more with it when it comes to like their intuition and kind of seeing a person's character before they know them, and just being able to get like a feeling or a vibe from somebody.
- 48:11SPEAKER_02: Um, and uh it's interesting, you know, it's something definitely to consider.
- 48:17SPEAKER_02: And maybe our grandfather was somebody who had multiple lives before the life that you knew him in, where he was able to experience those hardships and then learn from them and bring them into the current, you know, timeline that you were in with him.
- 48:34SPEAKER_02: It's interesting.
- 48:35SPEAKER_02: And in fact, I'm I'm actually recording with the psychic next week um on the unhol on unholier, and uh I'm gonna ask a lot of things.
- 48:46SPEAKER_02: I am so excited about it.
- 48:48SPEAKER_05: I know.
- 48:48SPEAKER_05: Like I've seen a couple of psychics yes, I've seen a couple of psych of psycheds.
- 48:53SPEAKER_05: I I've seen a couple of or I have a couple of friends.
- 48:56SPEAKER_05: Um, but kind of like your story, uh, and I hate it because I have like three different stories in my head right now.
- 49:02SPEAKER_05: I'm like, should I finish this one first?
- 49:04SPEAKER_05: Um, okay, so my grandfather's story.
- 49:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:08SPEAKER_05: I always felt like the only reason my family knew, because I live in a very um southern state, a very You live in the Bible belt, David.
- 49:20SPEAKER_00: I mean you'd be living in the buckle.
- 49:24SPEAKER_05: Listen, you know, and I I truly do not not I truly did not know hate existed um in real life, right?
- 49:32SPEAKER_05: Until 11 years ago when my attack happened.
- 49:35SPEAKER_05: I think that one of the biggest blessings that I had is my great-grandpa, 190 years old, you know, however, he was was one of my best friends and made sure that my family knew that people like me don't go to hell.
- 49:52SPEAKER_05: People like me are deserved love and and that they would be kicked out of my grandpa's home before I ever would.
- 50:01SPEAKER_05: And that's coming from a 90-something plus year old man 20 years ago, 15 years ago.
- 50:08SPEAKER_05: Well, no, no, 20.
- 50:10SPEAKER_05: I made you myself, but I mean 20 years ago.
- 50:14SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you know, um, it's not like he it just happened today, where things are a little bit different, you know, a little bit more accepting.
- 50:22SPEAKER_05: This was 20 years ago when they were saying if you're gay, you have A's and you die.
- 50:26SPEAKER_05: If you if you think about a boy walking by and you're like, oh, I like his shirt that's gay and you have A's and you die.
- 50:32SPEAKER_02: That was 20 years ago.
- 50:34SPEAKER_02: Oh, I know.
- 50:35SPEAKER_02: I remember when we lived in Indiana at the time.
- 50:39SPEAKER_02: I was really young.
- 50:41SPEAKER_02: And the first, um, there was a boy in my brother's elementary school that got AIDS.
- 50:49SPEAKER_02: He was diagnosed, diagnosed with AIDS, and it was just panic everywhere.
- 50:55SPEAKER_02: And I remember it's like, don't touch the toilet seat, don't do this, don't do that, don't and it, I mean, you thought the person had lep leprosy, the way that they were treating this whole situation.
- 51:07SPEAKER_02: And it was really sad, and that was back in the 80s, of course, you know, and then you take like the church who likes to have themselves in their little bubble all the time and not be in society or really be a part of society because they're told not to.
- 51:26SPEAKER_02: And we had a guy come to our church, he was visiting with his mother, and it was chattered all over the church that he had AIDS.
- 51:35SPEAKER_02: And there was a point in the service, every single Sunday service, there would be a time of welcome, welcoming, you know, everyone where the piano or the instruments would play and everyone would greet each other with a handshake.
- 51:52SPEAKER_02: There were people all around him where he would go to shake their hand and they would not shake his hand.
- 51:59SPEAKER_02: And I purposely, I was a teenager at the time, and I purposely went would go up to him every Sunday and shake his hand.
- 52:07SPEAKER_02: Because I'm like, you know what?
- 52:09SPEAKER_02: If this is gonna end my life, you know, if you all think that I'm gonna contract this disease from shaking his hand, then so be it.
- 52:19SPEAKER_02: I am gonna make him feel welcome and like a human being because he deserves it just as any as well as anybody else that's in this church right now.
- 52:28SPEAKER_02: He deserves to be greeted like a normal person.
- 52:31SPEAKER_02: He is suffering with this disease, and we're acting like he's a leper.
- 52:35SPEAKER_02: Like, just thought to myself, I was a lot more spiritual back then, too, because I always put things into perspective like, what would Jesus do, type of thing.
- 52:42SPEAKER_02: And it's like, y'all are hypocrites because in the Bible, Jesus is the one that is hanging out with lepers and prostitutes and drunk people.
- 52:53SPEAKER_02: I mean, he's hanging out with those people.
- 52:56SPEAKER_02: And so I felt like I'm gonna, I wanna be like Jesus, so I'm going to greet him like everybody else.
- 53:04SPEAKER_02: And um, yeah, people thought I was crazy.
- 53:07SPEAKER_02: My friends were like, What are you doing?
- 53:08SPEAKER_02: Why would you touch him?
- 53:10SPEAKER_02: I'm like, he doesn't have leprosy, like, and of course, nothing ever happened to me.
- 53:14SPEAKER_02: Like, I didn't get the disease or anything like that.
- 53:17SPEAKER_02: But he was the sweetest, kindest man.
- 53:20SPEAKER_02: And I thought, you know, if I'm if I'm gonna be like accepting and loving like Christ is in the Bible, then I need to do this.
- 53:29SPEAKER_02: But it was really sad to watch that, that people would ostracize him because of a stigma attached to it.
- 53:36SPEAKER_05: And I don't have the stats at hand, so uh take this as you will, but we we can always look it up.
- 53:44SPEAKER_05: Um, and if anyone in the comments knows the answer, please, you know.
- 53:48SPEAKER_05: Um, but there was a time that is that I did some research, and because of heterosexual men having affairs on their wives, um, there's more heterosexual people with HIV than people actually realize.
- 54:04SPEAKER_05: We associate it with the with a gay thing, right?
- 54:07SPEAKER_05: Like you've got two gays having sex with the city.
- 54:09SPEAKER_02: Well, that was pushed in the 80s, big time.
- 54:12SPEAKER_05: Well, 100%, but but there's still the stigma that comes with that.
- 54:15SPEAKER_05: And the reason I'm saying HIV versus AIDS is AIDS isn't even really a thing anymore.
- 54:21SPEAKER_05: It it it is, but where medication is a thing, uh, that as long as you're medicated, the safest person to have sex with right now is someone that is medicated with HIV because they can't give it to you, versus someone that has no their status, you know, um, versus someone that thinks they're negative but is also promiscuous, right?
- 54:44SPEAKER_05: But like there there was also studies done where I read this article where white men hate to uh announce the stat because the study shows that HIV um and at 1.8, um, but in modern day HIV is predominant in black men and women because your semen without air contact has to get into the blood flow.
- 55:13SPEAKER_05: So it's harder to get HIV than people actually realize.
- 55:19SPEAKER_05: The reason was predominant in gay men is because with anal sex there's usually some tearing.
- 55:25SPEAKER_05: As to where with vaginal sex, in most cases, there isn't tearing, unless you're a black man, because black men have bigger penises.
- 55:34SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 55:34SPEAKER_05: So, so HIV was uh actually more predominant, and more black women was turning positive with HIV, um, and then black men and then gay, because with the black men, their penises are usually larger, which would involve tearing.
- 55:54SPEAKER_05: White men didn't love this because when a white man's like, well, I don't have HIV and I didn't give you HIV, well, you have a small dick, is what they associate with, right?
- 56:04SPEAKER_05: Like, I mean, this is the am I wrong?
- 56:07SPEAKER_05: But this is the ego of these white men, right?
- 56:09SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 56:09SPEAKER_05: And so if it this is deemed as the gay disease, when let's be honest, demon as a black disease would still play in the white man's favor.
- 56:20SPEAKER_05: And what stats and things show is, and there's even been some research done where um here recently they they have been deciding like, do we continue to fund uh does the government continue to fund um HIV research, um HIV preventatives, um condoms, uh HIV um medication?
- 56:45SPEAKER_05: And there's not been a lot of no, we shouldn't, because these men, mostly white men, that are like, we hate the faggots, kill the faggots, are the ones being fucked by faggots.
- 56:58SPEAKER_05: So of course they're like, no, we need a little bit of preventative here because they need their closet filled.
- 57:03SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that they need their closet to be safe, right?
- 57:07SPEAKER_05: And but there's this whole stigma of, I mean, the fact that, and I've told this story, I've told it to you on your podcast, I've said it in our lives, I've said it on my podcast.
- 57:17SPEAKER_05: A person came to my church to have a youth ministry session with me and other 12 and under-year-olds saying, if you've kissed a boy or touched a boy, you have AIDS.
- 57:31SPEAKER_05: I went home thinking I had AIDS.
- 57:34SPEAKER_05: Imagine if I go to school and tell my teacher, I found out I have AIDS.
- 57:37SPEAKER_05: Imagine if I told another student, don't be next to me, I have AIDS.
- 57:41SPEAKER_05: The destruction, the chaos that could cause.
- 57:44SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 57:45SPEAKER_05: And that's what this church allowed me to fucking do.
- 57:47SPEAKER_05: Luckily, I have some kind of sense where that didn't happen.
- 57:50SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 57:50SPEAKER_05: Don't know where the sense came from, maybe from a another life.
- 57:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's possible.
- 57:56SPEAKER_05: But it but it's like what I find very interesting is society did not have to put AIDS um with the black community because the black community was already shunned and ugly because they were a different color, and then now we can put AIDS in HIV to a different category to where there's gonna still be certain elites.
- 58:22SPEAKER_05: It's very it's it's very inside and interesting, which leads me to um a different.
- 58:27SPEAKER_05: So we're talking about who we might have been in past lives.
- 58:31SPEAKER_05: I had this experience with uh um someone uh years ago that she she has she still has um her uh house and door open where you can set appointments and and she will read you.
- 58:46SPEAKER_05: She's like 180 years old at this point, probably only 70, but you know, like she was 70 when I met her 20 years ago, you know?
- 58:55SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and but she's like right by the airport, and um, she's been in magazines, like she's famously known.
- 59:03SPEAKER_05: And here's what I need from you, Jenny is she told me many things that had previously happened in detail, as well as things that were gonna happen in detail.
- 59:14SPEAKER_05: She also told me that a blonde girl is going to make me famous in the in the in in the best way that I want to be.
- 59:23SPEAKER_05: So here's what I need from you.
- 59:25SPEAKER_02: Okay, I'm not blonde, but yeah.
- 59:28SPEAKER_05: I need you to do that.
- 59:29SPEAKER_05: I need I need us to order blonde extensions because I need this to happen quick.
- 59:34SPEAKER_01: That's funny.
- 59:35SPEAKER_05: But she told me, she said she she talked about past lives, and she said, she asked me, she said, do you sing?
- 59:43SPEAKER_05: And I immediately thought, oh fuck you, because we're gonna go into whole like you're gay, so you're you have all these amazing talents that gay people have that I don't fucking have.
- 59:55SPEAKER_05: I have no gay talents, other than some that will cannot be mentioned on this podcast, but like I can't act, I don't sing, I can't like I have no talent.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_05: Yeah, when every gay guy I know is like, oh, is it karaoke?
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_05: Like, you know, they say, Yeah, um, and and so I I was like, no, none.
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_05: And I was very like, she could see where I built a wall, and she didn't call it out.
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_05: She was like, Don't build a wall.
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_05: She said, because there's a reason.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_05: She told me that she believed that, and I have witnesses to this, they didn't hear it, but they were there with me getting their reading than we talked about on the way home 20 years ago.
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_05: She told me that I used to be a famous singer in slavery days, and I was a black woman, and I had the voice that would rule anyone in.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_05: But there was also a conniving side of me that may or may not have led into a presidential murder.
- 1:00:55SPEAKER_02: What?
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_05: And so part of my punishment is coming back as a gay man who wants nothing more to sing but can't carry a tune in a fucking bucket.
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_05: And all I could think about is that Abraham Lincoln was having an affair with me as a black woman and I was a part of his assassination.
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 1:01:17SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_05: I know that's a lot, and it is probably not none of it's probably real.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_05: But like, like whether she's real or not, like that's the shit that went through my head.
- 1:01:25SPEAKER_05: And there, if anyone asked me, David, what would you want more than anything in this world?
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_05: It would be to sing.
- 1:01:33SPEAKER_05: It would be to have the voice and the music and the lyrics that Reba had to me to another person.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_05: There's nothing in this world in the 30th years I've been alive where I have wanted nothing more than the sing.
- 1:01:47SPEAKER_05: And I will get, I will you if I died and people got into my shit, they will sing my iCloud, where I've recorded myself over and over and over thinking, I know I can sing the song good.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_05: It sounds so good here.
- 1:01:58SPEAKER_05: Passion, all this.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_05: And then I watch, I'm like, the fuck?
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_05: And and it's it's one of those things that like it eats me.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_05: It's like, this is what I'm I'm supposed to be a singer.
- 1:02:08SPEAKER_05: I'm supposed to be a performer.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_05: I'm that storyteller.
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_05: And I can't carry a tune, and I'm not that great at storytelling.
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_05: And I think this is part, I think this is what is that called?
- 1:02:20SPEAKER_05: Purgatory.
- 1:02:21SPEAKER_05: I think this is part of it.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_02: Oh man, that is definitely a theory for sure.
- 1:02:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you're probably gonna want to talk to the psychic that I talked to next week.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and when people tell me when they see my butt and they're like, okay, get a little bit of black girl in you.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_05: Now, granted, I paid money to have it put there.
- 1:02:40SPEAKER_02: However, oh man, I need that.
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_02: I need that.
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_02: I don't, I mine is very lackluster.
- 1:02:47SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_05: Uh you're stunning.
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_05: But but okay, but for there to be such detail in your story, right?
- 1:02:55SPEAKER_05: Of of what you may have known, what you've experienced, what someone is telling you that they can see.
- 1:03:00SPEAKER_05: And then one of the things that I have learned is when people go through traumas like we have gone through, there's a new thing that opens up inside us, right?
- 1:03:13SPEAKER_05: Like we we can look at someone and we can only have been through someone something.
- 1:03:19SPEAKER_05: We can look at someone and know if they're a safe place.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_05: I've seen I was taught through like church and society growing up that if you're holding up a sign on the street, then when you pull up to the red light and there's a man holding a sign up on the street saying, We'll work for food or I'm hungry, or what you lock the door, they're dangerous.
- 1:03:40SPEAKER_05: I've never seen, and I'm sure it's happened, but I've never ever seen any of them attack anybody.
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_05: But I've always been told they're dangerous.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_05: And then I've been told they're lazy or or or something.
- 1:03:53SPEAKER_05: No matter what is said about them, they're awful people.
- 1:03:58SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 1:03:58SPEAKER_05: Then I go through my trauma and I realize that I was one paycheck away, one beer away, one gunshot away.
- 1:04:06SPEAKER_05: Um to being on the side of the street.
- 1:04:09SPEAKER_05: And then I realized that none of those people has ever woke up and said, I'm gonna go do this.
- 1:04:14SPEAKER_05: And now I will say that I don't just hand out money to the homeless.
- 1:04:19SPEAKER_05: I wish I had money to do that.
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_05: Um, I I don't do that, but what I do not do is look at them in that harsh judgment any longer.
- 1:04:29SPEAKER_02: You know, yeah, because you don't really know like what your past life you could have come from that.
- 1:04:34SPEAKER_02: You don't know that, you know.
- 1:04:35SPEAKER_02: Um, I just think that none of us have any room to judge anyone else.
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because we don't know what kind of things we've been through or what we're going to go through in our next life.
- 1:04:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_02: So um I think it's just a matter of like really being uh conscientious conscientious of that to like say uh the moment you start feeling like you're judging somebody else to say, I'm not gonna judge this person because I could go through it in my next life and have to relive that or have to live that and then have to figure out what the lesson is.
- 1:05:13SPEAKER_02: I don't want to do that.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_02: I don't know about you, but I don't want to do that.
- 1:05:16SPEAKER_05: I don't want to, yeah.
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_02: Um, so you were saying something about Project Looking Glass, though, because Okay, well that's what I'm gonna say is we've already been talking for two hours.
- 1:05:25SPEAKER_05: Do we put a pin in the actual things and discuss it later?
- 1:05:29SPEAKER_01: Or do we just like a whole conspiracy?
- 1:05:33SPEAKER_05: So so maybe we could do a live on um these uh on this theory?
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_05: It might be a whole month because when I tell you, I have found movies connected to it.
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_02: Um Okay, give us give it do you have one movie you can give us in the meantime?
- 1:05:49SPEAKER_05: Back to the future.
- 1:05:50SPEAKER_05: And it's connected to not eleven.
- 1:05:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, with the clock and the yeah.
- 1:05:53SPEAKER_05: See okay.
- 1:05:54SPEAKER_05: So in the mall.
- 1:05:55SPEAKER_05: And then um what was it?
- 1:05:57SPEAKER_05: Uh ten so October 2015 when the movie or that there was that date mentioned, and that was also the date, obviously 20 years later.
- 1:06:07SPEAKER_05: Same producer, a new movie was released on that date.
- 1:06:11SPEAKER_02: What was the movie?
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_05: Um I haven't been following my nose.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, we don't have to go into it.
- 1:06:17SPEAKER_02: It's fine.
- 1:06:17SPEAKER_02: We can talk about it.
- 1:06:18SPEAKER_05: Um in a live.
- 1:06:20SPEAKER_05: So maybe we do this.
- 1:06:21SPEAKER_05: Maybe we um I can email you uh or text you or whatever the information that I have and we can discuss, but it probably it's probably gonna be a live or two.
- 1:06:30SPEAKER_05: It might be one of those, it might be one of those times where we might need to plan it where this episode comes out during the time that maybe we can actually go live multiple days um back to back to uh help that algorithm like we were talking about off the record, because yeah, there's a lot.
- 1:06:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, there is a lot.
- 1:06:50SPEAKER_02: Oh, I'm excited.
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_02: I do love this subject.
- 1:06:53SPEAKER_02: This is a good subject.
- 1:06:54SPEAKER_05: Yeah, um okay, but I have to tell you, okay, so okay, so and I will send it to you, but the Project Looking Glass, which is looking into the future, which was a software company, and there's Project Stargate, which is newer that is the AI technology that is the future and how they're linked.
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and you know there was a show called the Stargate or Stargate.
- 1:07:21SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:07:22SPEAKER_02: Where they go through portals.
- 1:07:23SPEAKER_05: Well, and I was gonna ask you, like, okay, so so working this as to a teaser to the end of the episode.
- 1:07:30SPEAKER_05: Is there a movie off the top of your head that you've watched and within months you've been like this movie was about this, like how do they know?
- 1:07:40SPEAKER_05: You know, where that movie was parts of that movie was almost like coming true.
- 1:07:44SPEAKER_05: It's like, how does Hollywood know?
- 1:07:46SPEAKER_05: Oh, they know yeah.
- 1:07:48SPEAKER_05: Well, then like Project Looking Glass was how the elite say the elite, they know the future because of Project Looking Glass.
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they know the future.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you got all the information, they're hiding it from the public.
- 1:08:04SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and so what scares me is what is that Julia Roberts movie, the new one?
- 1:08:10SPEAKER_05: I mean, it's been a couple of years, I guess, but the day after the first time.
- 1:08:12SPEAKER_02: Oh, this is the yeah, yeah.
- 1:08:14SPEAKER_05: Or the end of today.
- 1:08:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:08:17SPEAKER_02: Um I know what you're talking about.
- 1:08:19SPEAKER_05: It's not day after tomorrow, but um Yeah, I know what you're talking about.
- 1:08:23SPEAKER_02: It's on Netflix.
- 1:08:24SPEAKER_05: Julia Roberts um end of end of the world.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_05: Is it called End of the World?
- 1:08:31SPEAKER_05: Is that what it's called?
- 1:08:32SPEAKER_05: No, leave the world behind.
- 1:08:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, uh, yes, I think that's it.
- 1:08:37SPEAKER_05: Yeah, the Apocalypse Apocalyptic Apocalyptic.
- 1:08:40SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 1:08:41SPEAKER_02: The apocalypse.
- 1:08:42SPEAKER_05: Leave the world behind.
- 1:08:43SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and it's like I watched that movie and okay because they have all that technology, they've had it for a long time.
- 1:08:49SPEAKER_02: And part of that is like, are they prepping us?
- 1:08:54SPEAKER_02: Because according to things that I have listened to and read, that a lot of them are like in the occult, like occult, not a cult, the occult.
- 1:09:08SPEAKER_02: And so being part of the occult, you have to tell what you're going to do before you do it.
- 1:09:16SPEAKER_02: And so a lot of times they will use movies which seem like outlandish to the average person, because they don't think a lot of these movies, people don't realize that our governments have had this technology and the secret societies have had this technology for many years.
- 1:09:33SPEAKER_02: And so to the average person, they think it's a fiction, but it's actually them pre-programming us to accept a lot of this stuff.
- 1:09:42SPEAKER_05: Well, and it's like it's like the government had cell phones before it was ever even publicly oh yeah, available to the higher middle class public, right?
- 1:09:59SPEAKER_05: Like computers have been around since the 80s.
- 1:10:02SPEAKER_05: It was in the 90s, almost 2000s, before we had one in our house, you know?
- 1:10:07SPEAKER_02: Right, yeah.
- 1:10:08SPEAKER_05: We we think that our government should be for us and it should be to protect us and to provide, and I it should not be a business, it should be for.
- 1:10:19SPEAKER_05: Um, ladies and gentlemen, that is a lie.
- 1:10:22SPEAKER_02: I 100% agree with you.
- 1:10:23SPEAKER_05: But there are certain movies that I watched, I'm like, oh god, I hope this isn't true.
- 1:10:26SPEAKER_05: I hope that certain people don't see it.
- 1:10:28SPEAKER_05: And I watched The Hunger Games several years ago.
- 1:10:31SPEAKER_02: Oh gosh, yeah.
- 1:10:32SPEAKER_02: That I could totally see that happening.
- 1:10:34SPEAKER_05: Well, it's happening.
- 1:10:35SPEAKER_02: Well, I'm saying where they make it like a game show almost.
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_05: It's happening.
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_05: President, our now administration is um so in the process of selecting a male and female from certain states to fight each other in front of the White House.
- 1:10:47SPEAKER_05: It's happening.
- 1:10:48SPEAKER_05: You can look it up, it's happening.
- 1:10:49SPEAKER_02: What do you mean?
- 1:10:50SPEAKER_02: Like a fight, like a how what kind of a fight?
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_02: What do you mean?
- 1:10:53SPEAKER_05: Hunger Games.
- 1:10:53SPEAKER_05: It's supposed to be like a wrestling thing.
- 1:10:56SPEAKER_05: Okay, but but it it it it's smear image hunger games and it's happening.
- 1:11:00SPEAKER_05: That it's real time happening, been announced.
- 1:11:03SPEAKER_02: So it's not like a UFC type of thing, it's not like a There is gonna be a UFC type of thing.
- 1:11:08SPEAKER_02: Um, but then okay, so because Hunger Games, like when they are released into this basically the wilderness or whatever, the woods, and then they have to be they have to kill each other.
- 1:11:20SPEAKER_02: It's like a survival of the fittest type of thing.
- 1:11:22SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and so what is thought to be happening is certain things are are happening in front of our face right now to get us uh immune to desensitize to what's about to happen.
- 1:11:33SPEAKER_05: It says the Hunger Games White House refers to oh wait, no, uh let me see.
- 1:11:38SPEAKER_02: Your flames went away.
- 1:11:39SPEAKER_05: Your fire, you have it talking right to me.
- 1:11:42SPEAKER_02: Your fire's like, I'm out.
- 1:11:44SPEAKER_05: Listen okay, so he's calling it the Patriot Games.
- 1:11:48SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 1:11:48SPEAKER_05: Um playing 2026 athletic event for high schoolers to celebrate America's 150th birthday, which critics compare to the Hunger Games due to its uh due to its selecting one boy and one girl from each state to compete.
- 1:12:03SPEAKER_05: Though it's a non-lethal sporting event, not a fighting to death.
- 1:12:07SPEAKER_05: The comparison gained traction online and in the media with suggesting it mirrors um the mockery and political commentary of the Hunger Games.
- 1:12:18SPEAKER_02: So I hadn't heard of it.
- 1:12:19SPEAKER_02: I'll have to look it up.
- 1:12:20SPEAKER_05: Yeah, look it up.
- 1:12:21SPEAKER_05: Um White House like talking about it, you know, not AI shit.
- 1:12:27SPEAKER_05: Yeah, like when I was watching Hunger Games, like and when it first came out and Cody and I were together, I was like, oh god, because it was like during the time that like uh actually, no, it was The Purge came out first.
- 1:12:37SPEAKER_05: Oh god, do you remember those movies?
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_05: Or do you think that's yes, I do?
- 1:12:40SPEAKER_03: Okay, yeah, serious books.
- 1:12:43SPEAKER_05: Yes, and I was like, Oh god, I hope President Trump don't ever watch these movies, but yeah, there there's been things that I've watched, and I've been like, certain people don't need to see this because they don't even have these ideas, which leads me into is certain people like trying to tell us how to survive certain things if it happens.
- 1:13:02SPEAKER_05: Um because I would never know to stab a vampire in the heart with a stake.
- 1:13:08SPEAKER_05: Is that what is supposed to happen to vampires?
- 1:13:10SPEAKER_05: Like, I would never know that.
- 1:13:12SPEAKER_05: Um, I would never know when it comes to like apocalyptic movies that you have to like stab through the eye to get to the brain in order for it to actually kill them, or they get like you can't just shoot them or they keep going.
- 1:13:23SPEAKER_05: Like I wouldn't know that.
- 1:13:24SPEAKER_05: So it's like, are they are are there people that do in these movies warning us but also letting us know how to overcome?
- 1:13:32SPEAKER_05: And the ones that are gonna watch overcome are the ones that are becoming the elite that that are the troopers that they would want to survive because we haven't seen movies where grandmother in the nursing home happen to to survive, they're already gone, right?
- 1:13:49SPEAKER_05: They're not they're they're the they're they're the weak, weak links.
- 1:13:53SPEAKER_05: It's the 12-year-old boy, the 16-year-old girl, the motherfucker.
- 1:13:57SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it's like stranger things.
- 1:13:59SPEAKER_02: I think there's a lot of interesting things in that show, too.
- 1:14:03SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you've watched it.
- 1:14:04SPEAKER_05: I haven't.
- 1:14:04SPEAKER_05: I haven't I was never able to Cody tried when Cody and I were together.
- 1:14:08SPEAKER_05: He tried to get me into it and I just couldn't.
- 1:14:10SPEAKER_02: I think I got I got through season three, and then after that I was like, ooh, I just see I don't like stuff like that, but there's a lot of interesting things where they talk about the upside down, and there's like basically a whole realm underneath us.
- 1:14:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:14:29SPEAKER_02: Of it's just yeah, it's interesting.
- 1:14:32SPEAKER_02: I know, and that's what like and the government's involved, and you find all this stuff out, and these kids literally like stumble upon all this information.
- 1:14:40SPEAKER_02: They stumble upon this place where they're doing MKUltra type experiments on these children that were like either their parents died, or they were foster kids, or they were adoptees, and so they're the government they ended up becoming like wards of the state, or the guardian sent them off thinking almost like a TTI type of situation, they end up going to this institution that then uses them, the government uses them as like to experiment on.
- 1:15:11SPEAKER_05: I know it's crazy, and and you would think with it, you know, you knowing that me personally, I'm political, like I'm very loud.
- 1:15:21SPEAKER_05: Um sometimes not beautifully, you know, which I'm working on.
- 1:15:26SPEAKER_05: Um but I'm very loud on on where I stand, and so you would think like a show like this would intrigue me.
- 1:15:33SPEAKER_05: And it for whatever reason it hasn't captured me.
- 1:15:35SPEAKER_05: But you know what I find very interesting, Jenny?
- 1:15:38SPEAKER_05: When I first started ish, um like last quarter of 2025, you know, because I'm pre uh recorded, we've talked about this well before.
- 1:15:48SPEAKER_05: Uh, because I think I think um the process of healing was coming cl to a close in like June, and it was like uh two or three months before we started recording for ish because you know, I I I needed a break, things needed to die down.
- 1:16:03SPEAKER_05: So ish has been going on for several months, even though it might be brand new to the public.
- 1:16:09SPEAKER_05: You're one of my first guests, and when I did a rapid fire question, my question to you was if there was an apocalypse, would you be the first to die or would you be a fighter?
- 1:16:20SPEAKER_05: Do you remember that?
- 1:16:21SPEAKER_02: Um, I do, but I feel like you said it in a little bit of a different way.
- 1:16:26SPEAKER_05: Oh, 100%.
- 1:16:28SPEAKER_05: I'm not gonna remember it.
- 1:16:29SPEAKER_02: I'm just not remembering because of the conversation we're having.
- 1:16:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think you said um something about would you be something about zombies?
- 1:16:39SPEAKER_05: And I said, Oh, the zombies are the people who but either way, it like like I'm the rapture, yeah, because of course, like I'm truly having this thought in real time while we're recording right now.
- 1:16:51SPEAKER_05: Like we were talking earlier, I was like, Oh fuck, like this is one of the questions I was asking Jimmy out of the ish bowl, like episode one.
- 1:16:58SPEAKER_05: And so, of course, I'm not gonna remember exactly, but that but they it comes down to the fact of there was an apocalypse.
- 1:17:05SPEAKER_05: If if they were if there was these monsters, these big ass cockroaches or these zombies or whatever, would you put up a fight or would you be like, take me, I'm done, I die?
- 1:17:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and and you were like, Bitch, I dare like but you know what's funny is that I think I did say I did reference the Bible because um that was when like the whole rapture thing, like, oh the happen.
- 1:17:30SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:17:30SPEAKER_02: And I said, I wouldn't need to fight them because they're all gonna be sucked up into their rapture.
- 1:17:38SPEAKER_02: That's what happens.
- 1:17:39SPEAKER_02: Like the people who have already died before the rapture, their graves get open and they get sucked up into the air with Jesus.
- 1:17:47SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna have to fight any of them, they're gonna get sucked up, like kind of like this, David.
- 1:17:52SPEAKER_05: Okay, so I'm glad you pointed that out because I have never noticed that behind you, and then tonight, and I even like put in my notes like picture behind Jenny.
- 1:18:04SPEAKER_05: I've never seen it.
- 1:18:05SPEAKER_01: No, you did not no, I did.
- 1:18:07SPEAKER_05: I put Did you really no?
- 1:18:09SPEAKER_05: I sent it to myself in my notes because I wanted to make sure I never that I didn't forget about it because yeah, I've never seen that picture, and for it to be this visible tonight with tonight's conversation, I'm like, oh my god.
- 1:18:25SPEAKER_05: I was a gorgeous black woman who had the voice of an angel, and I am the woman that Abraham Lincoln had an affair with because I love a tall, skinny white man and with the top hat.
- 1:18:38SPEAKER_05: Don't judge me.
- 1:18:39SPEAKER_05: Like I saw that picture and I was like, oh fuck.
- 1:18:41SPEAKER_05: And it's not that the alien, the UFO or whatever, but it's just like if something's that far out there, then odds are I was a part of Abraham Lincoln and and uh the theater shooting, but I was gorgeous, I was a gorgeous black woman who could fucking sing, and then I get sent back to earth as a mediocre white boy who can't carry a tune in a goddamn bucket, and but thinks like I hear myself singing, and I'm like, Yeah, I hit that note.
- 1:19:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Smitty's Smitty thinks that too, but he never hits the note.
- 1:19:21SPEAKER_05: That's gonna be a whole other episode of what Smitty used to be in a past life.
- 1:19:25SPEAKER_05: And I tell you what, he wasn't your husband or your best friend.
- 1:19:27SPEAKER_05: And I feel like I feel like you played uh what is it called?
- 1:19:32SPEAKER_05: A tangerine.
- 1:19:33SPEAKER_05: What is that?
- 1:19:34SPEAKER_01: A tangerine, what is that tambourine?
- 1:19:37SPEAKER_05: Tambourine, and I feel like as a lovely black, gorgeous woman performer.
- 1:19:42SPEAKER_02: I was I in your band.
- 1:19:43SPEAKER_05: I think you're in my band playing the tambourine.
- 1:19:46SPEAKER_05: You you were of course um total backup, uh, not really seen.
- 1:19:51SPEAKER_02: Um oh, I was just doing like the beat with my tambourine.
- 1:19:55SPEAKER_02: I was just like, get it, girl.
- 1:19:57SPEAKER_05: You you were mediocre, if you will.
- 1:19:59SPEAKER_05: And I probably said I probably said that to you in my snootiness because I was better.
- 1:20:04SPEAKER_05: I thought I was better than you, and then in this life you come back stunning, and I come back as a mediocre guy who can't carry you see how the universe works, David.
- 1:20:13SPEAKER_05: You see, and how did I I just looked at my phone and somehow just sent you$40 and it says for hair extensions, like and I've been doing that monthly, and I did not even realize.
- 1:20:24SPEAKER_05: So it's some kind of curse, I guess.
- 1:20:26SPEAKER_01: You have it on subscription mode, David.
- 1:20:29SPEAKER_01: I appreciate it.
- 1:20:30SPEAKER_05: You're okay.
- 1:20:31SPEAKER_05: So our conversations go on, but you know what?
- 1:20:34SPEAKER_05: That's what a fucking love about the shit.
- 1:20:37SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you know, like I I I went into this with a bit of a bullet pointed, let's talk about this and this and this.
- 1:20:43SPEAKER_05: We hit none of them, none, and but but we still get seem to cover everything, yeah.
- 1:20:48SPEAKER_02: But I like a good old-fashioned organic conversation, yeah.
- 1:20:53SPEAKER_05: Yeah, so so I think what we need to do is I will figure out when I can get this episode live.
- 1:21:00SPEAKER_05: Um, because I've got a couple of our friend um has released a book and she was a guest, and then I had a famous doctor on, a psychiatrist on for the second time, which didn't even won't love because it was political, but uh but that's why it's your podcast and you guys.
- 1:21:19SPEAKER_02: That's why, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:21:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:21:20SPEAKER_05: And um, and I'm I'm not saying that you hate it, I'm just saying that you don't love those conversations, right?
- 1:21:26SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and so um, so there are things that so okay, so we're gonna find a date that this can be released, and uh, we're gonna go live the week it can be released.
- 1:21:34SPEAKER_05: That way, maybe people can it'd be fun.
- 1:21:38SPEAKER_05: Um, either listen to us before or after because I have a lot of notes and I'll save them all.
- 1:21:43SPEAKER_02: Yay! I love it.
- 1:21:45SPEAKER_05: Yeah, so okay.
- 1:21:48SPEAKER_05: I know you hate it when Schmidty's out of town, but you know what I love about when Schmidty's out of town?
- 1:21:53SPEAKER_05: You could be on the line with me for four fucking hours.
- 1:21:57SPEAKER_03: I know, right?
- 1:21:58SPEAKER_05: I know he's been texting me saying, hang up for my wife.
- 1:22:02SPEAKER_05: I want to call her.
- 1:22:04SPEAKER_05: And I'm like, fuck you, Smitty.
- 1:22:07SPEAKER_01: Has he really texted you?
- 1:22:08SPEAKER_01: No, no.
- 1:22:09SPEAKER_05: Well, I don't know.
- 1:22:10SPEAKER_05: I need to check.
- 1:22:11SPEAKER_05: I have received a couple threats, but I just figured it was from a different kind of person.
- 1:22:15SPEAKER_05: But love you, I love you.
- 1:22:17SPEAKER_05: Um, I love you.
- 1:22:18SPEAKER_05: Let's um let's figure out because I do miss our conspiracy uh I know they're fun discussions.
- 1:22:25SPEAKER_05: And and the fact that I mentioned this conspiracy, and you're like, oh, because we never talked about it.
- 1:22:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:22:32SPEAKER_05: It's the fact that you already know.
- 1:22:33SPEAKER_05: So so yeah, so let's figure out.
- 1:22:36SPEAKER_02: I don't really think there's a conspiracy theory I don't know about.
- 1:22:40SPEAKER_05: A fair, but I figured, yeah, I figured that we would have and this is one of the main ones that leads us into the very first, like, I'm not saying the first conspiracy theory, but the first time that the conspiracy theory was acknowledged as the Mandela Fact.
- 1:22:57SPEAKER_05: Like this conspiracy led us to the 2006 or three or whatever it was, um, that led us to the Mandela Fact, which where is where that title for these kind of things came into play.
- 1:23:13SPEAKER_05: So I think I think it's do we charge people$1.99?
- 1:23:17SPEAKER_02: I mean, I'm down for whatever.
- 1:23:20SPEAKER_05: Because odds are we're gonna have to cancel our weekend plans and we were not gonna go to sleep until either we've discussed all of it, or I have then become the gorgeous black woman that I used to be back in the Abraham Lincoln days when I could sing, and then we'll close out with sweet dreams.
- 1:23:41SPEAKER_05: See?
- 1:23:41SPEAKER_05: I love you, my friend.
- 1:23:43SPEAKER_02: I love you too.
- 1:23:44SPEAKER_05: Thank you so much for this.
- 1:23:45SPEAKER_05: Um, uh, we'll we'll figure out all the other details and advertising.
- 1:23:49SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 1:23:49SPEAKER_05: Um, I'll post all the links uh to Jenny and her extensions.
- 1:23:54SPEAKER_01: Um I wonder if I can become an extension influencer.
- 1:24:02SPEAKER_01: How do I make this happen, David?
- 1:24:04SPEAKER_05: I mean, I think I think you just did.
- 1:24:06SPEAKER_05: And so I'm gonna put on record that uh Ginny and Holier and Lau is uh see 40, I'm 60, she's 40.
- 1:24:13SPEAKER_05: Remember the other day when I was like, no, Ginny, you're always 100.
- 1:24:17SPEAKER_05: I was a liar.
- 1:24:18SPEAKER_05: I was a liar.
- 1:24:19SPEAKER_02: No, yeah, because you've seen my real hair.
- 1:24:21SPEAKER_05: I'm just kidding.
- 1:24:22SPEAKER_05: But no, we're gonna make it happen.
- 1:24:24SPEAKER_05: And then maybe we'll give us free botox.
- 1:24:26SPEAKER_02: Oh, I love that.
- 1:24:27SPEAKER_05: I love that.
- 1:24:30SPEAKER_02: No, we could fly out to Utah and go to Heather Gay's Botox bar.
- 1:24:34SPEAKER_02: What do you think of that idea?
- 1:24:36SPEAKER_02: Then we could like then we could like have a live and interview her.
- 1:24:39SPEAKER_05: I just bought plane tickets.
- 1:24:41SPEAKER_02: Instant booking.
- 1:24:42SPEAKER_05: I mean, my Siri said it is done.
- 1:24:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, now watch this, watch the ads we're gonna start getting.
- 1:24:50SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 1:24:51SPEAKER_02: The phone is listening to us, so we're gonna go.
- 1:24:56SPEAKER_05: And then they're just gonna span, hand over to me, and I'll be like, I'm so tired.
- 1:25:01SPEAKER_05: And then I'm gonna be like, spend all my money.
- 1:25:03SPEAKER_05: And I will still never look like them.
- 1:25:04SPEAKER_02: But don't lose faith, David.
- 1:25:06SPEAKER_05: But I used to be a gorgeous black woman that could sing, yeah.
- 1:25:11SPEAKER_05: And I have that, and these mediocre people, they don't.
- 1:25:15SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 1:25:16SPEAKER_05: They could probably sing now and they're cute now, but I was then, before before things were in color, probably.
- 1:25:23SPEAKER_05: Okay, they won again.
- 1:25:24SPEAKER_05: Bye.
- 1:25:25SPEAKER_05: Oh my gosh.
- 1:25:26SPEAKER_05: Okay, we had a lot of funny jokes.
- 1:25:27SPEAKER_05: Um, I love you so much.
- 1:25:29SPEAKER_01: I know, I love you too.
- 1:25:31SPEAKER_05: Um, enjoy your Saturday night and your Sunday.
- 1:25:34SPEAKER_05: We'll talk every five minutes.
- 1:25:35SPEAKER_05: Um, but thank you for doing this with me.
- 1:25:37SPEAKER_05: And uh seriously, like what I shared with you was a little nervy for me because I haven't said it out loud because I was it was one of those things where it's like, I'm probably silly, but then the moment I said out loud, it's gonna come true.
- 1:25:52SPEAKER_05: And then I was like, okay, well, if I said out loud to one person, and I'm like, oh well, David told me he predicted his own death, then everyone else will be like, you're just trying to like ride David's coattails because he's so famous and everyone loves him so much, and you're just trying to ride his coattails.
- 1:26:08SPEAKER_05: And I thought, okay, well, I'm just gonna say it out loud on the podcast.
- 1:26:11SPEAKER_05: I don't know if that is going to emphasize my curse.
- 1:26:15SPEAKER_05: Um is it a final is it a final death?
- 1:26:19SPEAKER_05: Am I okay?
- 1:26:19SPEAKER_02: I think it's something that already happened in your past life, but you gotta talk to the psychic to find out.
- 1:26:25SPEAKER_05: Hopefully, I live that long.
- 1:26:27SPEAKER_05: Um, I'm just gonna, of course, I'm going to say because my psychic did tell me that I will not die until I was 86.
- 1:26:36SPEAKER_05: And I said 86 gay time or straight people time, and she was like, No, just 86, which means I have another hundred years to go, probably.
- 1:26:46SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 1:26:47SPEAKER_05: I love you, my friend.
- 1:26:49SPEAKER_00: I love you too.
