- 0:40confidence, share experiences, and stay informed.
- 0:45Join us as we tackle the challenges, celebrate the winds
- 0:50and drive forward. Hello, everybody, welcome.
- 0:56I'm trucker mouth. Welcome to my underground studio
- 1:00and this is the road man. I've been trying here to I've
- 1:06been trying here to get this better back here added lighting.
- 1:12I've been messing with this camera all morning here and kind
- 1:19of make this I want to make it bigger.
- 1:25I don't have because I don't want to make it the biggest then
- 1:36it then it gets it gets blurry. So I'm trying some things here.
- 1:42We can see my backdrop, my backdrop better.
- 1:45It says trucker mouth on the wall, spray painting trucker
- 1:49mouth. And that's what it is.
- 1:53So, you know, I could have something superimposed back air
- 1:58this and that. But this, this is trucking my
- 2:00studio. You know, I mean, I had one of
- 2:02them little tick tockers telling me, well, would you have that,
- 2:05that nobody's going to nowhere to watch you.
- 2:07Hey, you like it or you don't. You know, I'd do more than I'd
- 2:11do more than take a ride on a roller coaster and and and and
- 2:15and stream for record for, you know, a minute or two.
- 2:19So, OK, well, let's get going here.
- 2:27Oh, by the way, this just this just in diesel prices that are
- 2:31all time high. The national average for diesel.
- 2:37Come on, I'm not going to sit everywhere is like 651 a gallon
- 2:44for diesel. I mean that's that's this this
- 2:48trucker can't win 651 a gallon. I'm sorry for all this and it's
- 3:00just just atrocious. I mean I don't know how to I
- 3:04don't know how the the owner rapper, the single owner rapper
- 3:08is going to ever make it man ever again.
- 3:10Now see if I make this full screen.
- 3:14What you know what that that didn't go the whole screen.
- 3:17That's good. I like it right there and I
- 3:20don't know. No one showed me how to do
- 3:22anything. I learned this stuff on my own,
- 3:23man. So thanks for tuning in
- 3:26everybody today. OK, what topic we want to talk
- 3:29about is the Build America 250 Act.
- 3:32It's the new highway bill and it's got a lot of good stuff in
- 3:40that that we need. We need to get this belt going.
- 3:46OK, straight here. I see that my, my lighting, my
- 3:49lighting in the back did good. OK, I did a light and I messed
- 3:53around with this thing. Peter.
- 3:56Anyway, the new highway bill incidentally, incidentally, the
- 4:02the first highway bill was was enacted July 11th, 1916 and it
- 4:08was the the Federal Aid Rd. Act, the first Federal Highway
- 4:14funding program in U.S. history was signed.
- 4:18Legislation was instrumental significantly extending and
- 4:21improving the nation's roads. So July 11/19/16 was signed.
- 4:28Farmers who need to travel to deliver goods were among those
- 4:32who sparked the growing interest in the better roadways.
- 4:36Supreme Court case OK Federal Aid Rd.
- 4:42Act was by ruling that the Commerce Clause authorized
- 4:45Congress to construct Interstate highways.
- 4:48By 1917, the highway agency to administer federal funds was in
- 4:51place in every state, OK and the World War One slowed the
- 4:58progress, but the Federal Highway Act of 1921 addressed
- 5:01those issues. So a little bit of history
- 5:05there. 1916 with the passage of the Federal Aid Rd.
- 5:11Act the national congression national government again man
- 5:19stated its interest in highway improvement manifested its
- 5:24interest in highway safety and within a year the grim traffic
- 5:27of a war proved the need of federal aid.
- 5:30OK just give you the history on the highway bill.
- 5:32This highway bill got a lot of good stuff in it man.
- 5:34We need to get it going now is this won't be able to be able to
- 5:41see me right now so. Didn't see me.
- 5:49All right, all right. So the current highway bill was
- 5:53was set to the current highway bill was set to expire on
- 5:57September 30th, but we bought some time Congress bought a
- 6:01little more more than time until December 11th.
- 6:05So we got to it was supposed to expire.
- 6:08The last one was postpired, like I said, September 11th, but we
- 6:11got it, We got it extension till December, December 11th.
- 6:21Yeah, September 30th, the current higher bill is going to
- 6:24expire September 30th, but we got now we got until December
- 6:2711th and we need to get this through Congress and need to
- 6:29pass. Here's some good things that
- 6:31that this bill has. There's a lot of good shit in
- 6:33here, $580 billion in infrastructure and safety.
- 6:41See, that's your bridges, that's your bridges, man, your
- 6:44highways. And that's a lot of work for
- 6:46people, man, that that's a whole lot of work for people.
- 6:51You know, they, they, they get, make a lot of money doing them.
- 6:55People do roads and highways and, and, and, and the bridges
- 6:57and that, man, they get a lot of scale money.
- 7:00I mean, that's, they make big money.
- 7:03We need to get that going. Expanding truck parking across
- 7:05the country. And you know what I used to tell
- 7:07people, right? Well, man, it's hard to find a
- 7:10place to park. What do you mean it's hard to
- 7:12find a place to park? Dude, this ain't 40 years ago
- 7:15when you could just park, you know, on a, on a, an exit ramp
- 7:21or something. Like even around here when I was
- 7:22younger. Let's just go back a little more
- 7:24than that. Maybe you always see a truck
- 7:27parked or parked, a truck or two parked or an off ramp or an on
- 7:31ramp somewhere. I don't understand why you can't
- 7:34do that, but states are not allowing it.
- 7:39I understand some situations, some of these big rural areas
- 7:42you get to, I mean, they got, there's just trucks everywhere
- 7:46and it people parked some of the places they got to do stuff all
- 7:50over. They don't.
- 7:52So then they've got truckers access to restrooms and shippers
- 7:55and receivers. And believe it or not, there's
- 7:58some inhumane bastards out there.
- 8:00They some sometimes they'll have porta potties out there for you
- 8:05and the truckers use them, you know, and other times don't just
- 8:11act like, you know, not you don't have to use a bathroom or
- 8:15something. I don't know, But that's just
- 8:16that's rare that you can't use the bathroom at all.
- 8:18I've been to places then one place up in Massachusetts, it
- 8:21used to act like you walked in the door and you were in a cage
- 8:27and the, and the desk over here through the the window in the
- 8:29cage and there was no access there at all to that one.
- 8:34That's and I had places already as little places.
- 8:36Ray, too. No, you can't use the bathroom.
- 8:38I wouldn't use them anyway. Telling trucker mouth can't use
- 8:41the bathroom, man. OK, so crack down.
- 8:44And then another thing it's going to do is crack down the
- 8:46predatory, predatory lease to own schemes.
- 8:51Yeah, we know who's doing that. Your big ones, your England's,
- 8:55your primes. Yeah, I'm naming this.
- 8:58Sue me. You ain't going to get nothing
- 9:01According to the American Trucking Association, only one
- 9:04trucking. I I said this before only one
- 9:06trucking spot for every 11 trucks out there, one safe truck
- 9:12slot out there for every 11 drivers, every 11 trucks on the
- 9:16road. Now I mean that that's that's
- 9:21sad. You know, you work all day long,
- 9:25you, your eyes are bleeding, you're starving, you need a
- 9:28shower, 'cause you're, you look like you're homeless and you
- 9:31can't even find a place to park to go take care of yourself and
- 9:36relax a little bit. But that, that's, that's the
- 9:38next segment here I'm doing today.
- 9:40Sorry. Then we got, let's say Congress
- 9:43bought a little more time until December 11th.
- 9:48Republican Mike Boast, Republican Illinois crafted the
- 9:53Truck Parking Safety Improvement Act, which would dedicate $755
- 9:59million for added truck parking. And it is needed, man, there's
- 10:05there's, there's, there's. Like I said, blame it on it's
- 10:09hard to find a good place to park.
- 10:10But I seen your big city areas, man.
- 10:12It's and you get to areas like Elizabeth, NJ and Newark and all
- 10:17up there around the porch. They ain't nothing but trucks.
- 10:20I mean, it's, it's, it's doggy it, it doggy dog is vicious.
- 10:25You step on someone's toes, man, They're out of the truck after
- 10:27you. The Build of America Act
- 10:32included, boasts his bill. So the Build of America Act is
- 10:36going to include this, this guy's bill and they're going to
- 10:39put 150 million, a 150 million a year for five years.
- 10:42And then that's the 750 million he's talking about.
- 10:49So that's some good shit there. That's some good shit there,
- 10:52man. We need that.
- 10:53We need this bill passed. So during the pandemic, reports
- 10:56of truckers being denied restrooms as shippers received
- 10:59prompted Republican Troy Nells, Texas, to introduce Truckers
- 11:03Bathroom Access Act, requiring shippers receivers to make
- 11:07available at the facility. You got, you know, you can't be
- 11:13inhumane to these drivers, man. You got to give them access to a
- 11:17bathroom proposal. The proposal struggled to fine
- 11:23transit transaction has a stand alone bill.
- 11:26What's included in the highway bill?
- 11:27So this trucker's bathroom restroom act, it is included in
- 11:33in the the build America act. You talk you talk Trump talk
- 11:37about the the big beautiful bill.
- 11:39This is the big beautiful highway bill.
- 11:43The build Act 250 build America 250 act.
- 11:47This is the big beautiful highway bill right here, man.
- 11:52So under the bill and Erica, 250 Act prohibits motor carriers
- 11:56from using predatory commercial motor vehicle lease.
- 12:01Yeah. So it's going to crack down on
- 12:02the predatory lease programs. Also lease purchase programs
- 12:05that promise you everything in the world.
- 12:07You don't get nothing. And they're just, you know, they
- 12:11promise you everything in the world and, and, and yeah, but
- 12:18they're, they're, they're far in between than anybody even renews
- 12:20or at least, or ever gets a truck real, real far.
- 12:22You know, I had this sharpie in my, I had this sharpie in my
- 12:27briefcase. It snapped me at it for years.
- 12:30And it, and it had the cap on it in my briefcase.
- 12:34And I poured out you know what? I've been using this now for a
- 12:37couple months. It's amazing.
- 12:40It really is amazing. Well worth the money about it.
- 12:45All right, so right, yeah, they're going to crack down on
- 12:49them and predatory leases, man, get, you know, then people, then
- 12:54people get into them leases, they, they, they lose their
- 12:57credit, everything. Some people lose their houses #3
- 13:00the highway bill involves numerous other things too.
- 13:02Here's the other things that the bill includes crackdown on
- 13:06freight fraud and other scams and trucking.
- 13:09Then they need that. That's your brought your brokers
- 13:12there and your and your cargo theft and shit like that there.
- 13:15Introduce entry level driver training standards.
- 13:19Man, you can't. I've seen some horrible drivers
- 13:23out there. I was in a guy's truck.
- 13:26He went to the New England school and he got into a lease
- 13:32program, told him not to. He driving down the road.
- 13:35He's the worst truck driver I've ever seen.
- 13:37Big soda in one hand, cell phone the other.
- 13:42He he was the worst truck driver I've ever seen and he became a
- 13:44trainer manage that. So then we got a crackdown on
- 13:50non compliant CDL schools. These CDL mills is pumping
- 13:53people out man. You know they're cracking down
- 13:55on them and that's included in the build America Act Build
- 13:59America 250, the new highway bill and then it addresses
- 14:06cabotage. OK crackdown on cabotage.
- 14:09Cabotage is when a driver from Canada or Mexico comes in the
- 14:14United States, OK and they're what they're supposed to do is
- 14:17deliver their load, get a load going back down to Mexico or
- 14:22Canada where we're coming from up or down.
- 14:24No, they're not doing that. They're coming in and they're
- 14:27running around the country that's capitize, OK.
- 14:30They're only, they're only supposed to by law with through
- 14:35the free trade agreement, Mexico Free Trade agreement or the
- 14:39Canada, yeah, one of them things like that.
- 14:42They're only supposed to come in and get a load going back as
- 14:48soon as they can. And they don't.
- 14:49They're running around the country stealing American
- 14:50trucking freight. So they're cracking down on
- 14:54that. And then also they're going to
- 14:57make EVs contribute to the highway trust fund.
- 15:00So they're going to make electric vehicles contribute to
- 15:03the highway trust Fund, which I guess now they weren't.
- 15:08Yeah, Yeah, that's that capitizes a big problem.
- 15:16You got these sides coming around there.
- 15:17They can't speak English. But first of all, they're
- 15:19violating the they're violating the English proficiency law and
- 15:23they're running around picking up freight from, you know, a lot
- 15:27cheaper than what, what American, you know, American
- 15:29trucking company can do for them.
- 15:32And they're still in America's freight.
- 15:34So Yep, this is the the the big beautiful Build America 250 act.
- 15:43We need to get it passed and we need to get it passed soon.
- 15:49So all right, what spot later on that?
- 15:53And what we're going to do is see, I don't know how to
- 15:58navigate through this damn thing all the time.
- 16:02No, I don't want that big one. And freak.
- 16:21Oh, I know. There we go.
- 16:28I'll say, OK, well, we're going to take a little break here.
- 16:32And when we come back, truck stops trucker's Oasis.
- 19:44Hello everybody, Welcome back Rule the Road.
- 19:53OK, so now we're now we're going to talk about truck stops,
- 20:00unnecessary Oasis. Actually says the necessity
- 20:04overlooked. That's when we'll call it so
- 20:08it's a man these truck stops, man.
- 20:11You know what now when you're driving all day and like I said,
- 20:15your eyes are bleeding, you're starving to death.
- 20:17You want to find a truck spot where you can go in there, man,
- 20:20and, and, and, and dust off the funk from the road of the day
- 20:24and you know, have, you know, clean up, have a, have a, have
- 20:28a, have a decent meal and talk to some nice people.
- 20:32And, and it just, it just man it, it's just, it's hard to find
- 20:36out there. And I'm going to read a little
- 20:39bit on truck stops. I got a whole lot of literature
- 20:41here. I'm going to take my goggles up
- 20:44and do this. Oh, break my damn glass.
- 20:47OK, so lack of truck stops, like I said, it's, it's a, it's a
- 20:52necessity overlooked. The lack of truck stops across
- 20:56the country is a serious issue and you know, it affects the
- 21:03safety and well-being the truck drivers.
- 21:05It also poses challenges for emergency preparations because
- 21:10there's going to be trucks everywhere.
- 21:11And if the fire trucks need to get through or something, or
- 21:13trucks every part they were, they might hold them up.
- 21:15OK. So in short, many areas lack
- 21:20enough truck stops and that's this area here I live in that
- 21:25includes regions of high risk for disasters, public policies
- 21:28off whatever looked the need for truck trucks of the truck
- 21:31drivers. Sorry I have a stumbling again.
- 21:40Despite the truck drivers, you know, being essential to
- 21:43maintain supply chains, you often often operate under
- 21:46conditions that lack basic respect for their time, safety,
- 21:49and well-being. Despite truck drivers being
- 21:53essential, which they, we are. Well, I was, they're, they're,
- 21:58they're, they're, they're looked at as, as, as an undesirable a
- 22:04lot of places. I mean, you're doing out there
- 22:06what you got to do to survive. And, and if you're parking
- 22:08somewhere else, supposed to be parked or I don't know, too
- 22:12close to somebody's house idling, that, hey, that's what
- 22:15it is. Researchers highlighted many
- 22:21problems with truck stop availability and quality.
- 22:25These issues worsened during the emergencies.
- 22:28OK, No, no. Stakeholders in the trucking
- 22:31ecosystem have a clear obligation to provide humane,
- 22:36humane treatment or sufficient infrastructure, researchers say,
- 22:39often led by drivers themselves. And I'm on workplace.
- 22:46What the hell am I doing? From my experiences,
- 22:52organizations such as under organizations such as OIDA and
- 22:57Real Women and Trucking, as well as independent voices in our
- 23:00interviews, have called for policies that prioritize that
- 23:03prioritize human dignity alongside operational
- 23:06efficiency. Yes, you got, you got, you got
- 23:11to do something to to make this industry out on the road more
- 23:14desirable or you're not going to.
- 23:16I mean, no one wants to do it. And when I was a little boy, we
- 23:20used to travel around with the the parents, you know, going out
- 23:23to visit people in Ohio. We run the Turnpike.
- 23:27I longed to be a road driver. Man.
- 23:30I remember seeing them old Mumfrees trucks come flying by.
- 23:32They were meat, meat haulers. I didn't know it.
- 23:36I actually forgot it, but I think my dad did tell me one
- 23:38time. But I during these podcasts I've
- 23:41seen that the Mumfrees was a big meat haulers.
- 23:45They're holding slabs of meat, beef in there.
- 23:49And I longed to be, I longed to be a road driver.
- 23:53Neither, neither have camaraderie out there.
- 23:57OK, Get the camaraderie back. Look out for each other, OK.
- 24:01And make the road desirable, safe and great again.
- 24:06And you know what they're giving CDLS to to inmates?
- 24:12Well, they're having inmate training program.
- 24:13CDLS nonviolent, nonviolent, OK nonviolent inmates, OK, I
- 24:18understand, but not a paper on it.
- 24:23But what trucker mouth got disqualified in in 2013?
- 24:28I can never drive truck again. The state of Pennsylvania
- 24:33stripped me in my CDL and they're giving CDLS to, to, to
- 24:38illegals, liberal immigrants to, to, to inmates, which I'm not
- 24:44saying they're all bad, but and, and any, any, you know, they're,
- 24:48he's pumping these CDLS out these, these CDLS schools and,
- 24:52and, and, and here's what I'm doing.
- 24:53I'm starting to go fund me for trucker mount to reinstate him.
- 24:58But his CDL, you're going to see it, you watch.
- 25:02So I mean, OK, let's get back here.
- 25:14The lack of truck stops and parking in high risk areas is a
- 25:17big problem. According to FEMA, HEART and 44
- 25:23counties are at relatively high or very high risk for natural
- 25:26hazards. Now these 29% lack rest areas or
- 25:30truck stops from the big three operators.
- 25:33Here's the big three operators and truck stops.
- 25:35Your Pilot and your Flying J are together and your truck stops in
- 25:39Merrick with your TAS. You can see the big, the big TA
- 25:42and the A and your Petros are together.
- 25:45The Big three provide half a nation's truck parking capacity.
- 25:50Excuse me. Many of these counties are
- 25:52hurricane or flood prone areas. Florida, North Carolina and
- 25:56South Carolina and Florida, five of the 28 high risk counties,
- 26:01black rest areas or big three truck stops.
- 26:04As part of its Pro Trucker package, the Department of
- 26:07Transportation in Steven, Florida, 180 million had more
- 26:11than 900 truck parking spots. Yeah.
- 26:19So again, 180 million to add 900 truck parking spots, stations.
- 26:25That's great. There are also trucks stop
- 26:28deserts like around here in crowded areas like Austin, New
- 26:31Orleans, New York, Philadelphia and San Francisco.
- 26:33Limited land may explain this. Truck parking is dense in the
- 26:37middle of the country but sparse along the coast.
- 26:39Yeah, there you get in the middle of country rock truck
- 26:41parking, you get in your, your, your big cities and along the
- 26:44coast, though, it's like around the ports down ain't nothing
- 26:47about trucks. Nothing about trucks.
- 26:50NBN truck stop deserts exposed drivers to safety and and
- 26:55regulatory risks, especially if they have exceeded daily driving
- 26:58times as defined by hours of service regulations and cannot
- 27:02find a place to rest, researchers point out.
- 27:04Yeah, Then you start, you start creeping around like say you
- 27:10have a a delivery in this part of town, you can't find a truck
- 27:14stop. You start creeping around that
- 27:15area. And like I did, I, I, I rarity
- 27:18planned. See, I ran New England a lot.
- 27:21So I knew it's going to say in here that places I've been
- 27:27familiar with. So I knew where to where to go.
- 27:31New England around here on these coasts here, I'm in
- 27:33Pennsylvania. You got when you run New
- 27:35England, it was from the bottom of Virginia to Maine and as far
- 27:40West as the in the in the Ohio, West Virginia, Ohio.
- 27:44That's but the the the money per mile paid better.
- 27:49The freight paid a lot better. And you knew pretty much knew
- 27:52where you were at as far as truck stops went.
- 27:56Yeah. So truck drivers need more than
- 27:59just a place to park. They need basic facilities also.
- 28:03Yeah, Richard shows the truckers prioritize availability and
- 28:07quality of truck parking. Food and restroom dispatched
- 28:10fines from recent truck. Yeah, no shit.
- 28:13Truck stops with large parking lots get better reviews.
- 28:18However, smaller lots or those with paid parking received
- 28:21negative feedback during the pandemic.
- 28:25Half of the negative comments were about paid parking.
- 28:29Most of your ones were your big huge lots with your big huge
- 28:34with the big huge lots have or the big truck stop to have
- 28:36everything in them, all your amenities.
- 28:39Any driver out there want to comment on truck stops?
- 28:42This is the trucker mouth and you're on the trucker mouth
- 28:44show. Come on.
- 28:50What truck stop do you like, man?
- 28:51What's the best one? Come on, get some feedback.
- 28:53The Trucker Mouth show. Man, you're live.
- 29:01So I have two radios here. I got them pumped up.
- 29:05I got to move the antenna from one to the other.
- 29:07I have a big Stardust over here, but I ain't never got it up for
- 29:11this. Since I run that off, it works.
- 29:14Ain't right there. I got a big Stardust right
- 29:15there. Anybody want to tell me what the
- 29:17best truck stop is? Come on.
- 29:19You're on the truck. I'm out of show.
- 29:20Oh, I don't know. You can do that.
- 29:27Keep locking it. It's not that rackets out, that
- 29:32base gets out pretty good. Yeah.
- 29:38All right, so there's a drug of flexibility, too.
- 29:54CBS are still the best way to talk to each other.
- 29:57CB radio is still the best way you can get on.
- 29:59You can get on these, these parking apps notice and your and
- 30:02your your CB is the best way to talk to people and ask them
- 30:06what's up with the with the area?
- 30:09I got that light blowing in here.
- 30:12What's up with the area that you're you're going to if they
- 30:16just come out of there or anybody, anyone knows a thing
- 30:18about it. And when everybody starts, when
- 30:22everybody starts with that negativity and then big truck
- 30:25stops at night time to turn the radio off.
- 30:28Drivers are frustrated with the rise of paid parking, especially
- 30:32surge pricing during peak times and also predatory towing out of
- 30:36trouble. So you go to these paid lots.
- 30:39I only came across paid lots a couple times.
- 30:42Most times if it was a paid lot, if you went in and patronized
- 30:46the, the, the, the restaurant or got fuel or something, then
- 30:51they, they just sewed them out and they let you go.
- 30:55Now out there, I guess there's all these, there's all these,
- 31:01all these damn paid parking areas that that see a lot of
- 31:07these paid parking areas or in inconvenient areas.
- 31:12They're they're in areas that they're out in middle of
- 31:19nowhere. There's no amenities, these big,
- 31:22big pig lots. So they don't like them and you
- 31:25got to pay like 1820 dollars to park your truck error and I
- 31:30guess you claiming the taxes, but that's the end of the year.
- 31:34That's not that's not getting the week.
- 31:37So I'm looking for now I'm looking for a story about this
- 31:39guy who who wanted to build a truck stop in Georgia and was
- 31:47turned down right here. Man's bid to build a truck stop
- 31:52in Georgia suffers near defeat. I got to see something once here
- 31:56man. She only got 1/2 hour.
- 32:12OK, so we are at I'm almost out of time live 33 minutes.
- 32:20I've been live 33 minutes. All right, well, you know what,
- 32:28this guy here, what, what it is this guy, I'm going to end with
- 32:31this, this guy here in Georgia. On May 7th, the 11th Circuit
- 32:38Court of Appeals denied William Corey's bid to construct a truck
- 32:42stop off Interstate 20 in Rockdale County, just outside of
- 32:46Atlanta. Atlanta has Atlanta needs those
- 32:49truck stops. Atlanta needs truck stops.
- 32:52I mean, there was this one place down there was a bar bar down
- 32:55there. You could park there for like I
- 33:00said, one of them deals where if you just went in the bar and
- 33:03squashed it out. But it was it was a bad area to
- 33:05park. It was it was it was, it was
- 33:08seedy. Of course, it's places like that
- 33:10that I I haunted out. But anyway, he the the, the in
- 33:161999 is when it started. OK, the the property he bought
- 33:21was owned C2, which permitted convenience stores and gas
- 33:24stations but implicitly prohibited truck stops were not
- 33:27included them on the list of allowable uses.
- 33:30So then he tried to say it was a travel Plaza, OK.
- 33:33And they didn't buy that. And then Corey bought more land.
- 33:37He bought more land to expand his property closer to the
- 33:40Interstate in hopes of building a convenience store which sold
- 33:43fuel to automobiles and heavy trucks.
- 33:45But according to documents, most notably not a truck stop.
- 33:49So he tried to pass it over to Travel Plaza, not a truck stop.
- 33:522018 Corey contracted with QuikTrip to construct the Travel
- 33:55Plaza Quick trip the big down South, which would indicate
- 33:59include up to 8 diesel pumps, truck scales and 10 parking
- 34:02spots. But he was denied there also.
- 34:08And 2018 Corey, I just read that Rockville County has evidence
- 34:17that truck stops OK lead to crime, more crime, environmental
- 34:23pollution, noise, trap traffic and lower property values.
- 34:30I don't know about that more crime, but it's more crime.
- 34:34If the area has more crime then it then it always had crime.
- 34:39And they say about, you know, truck stops need to, you know,
- 34:42prostitution, drugs and crime and all that, that means the
- 34:46area already had it. And if you have, if you have a
- 34:49truck stop with over 100 parking spots, you got 100 men out
- 34:54there. Just say, just say, man, 100 men
- 34:58carrying money around. You know, you're going to spend
- 35:00money out there. And well, I got all this, all
- 35:04this literature and, and I'll have time to read it.
- 35:07But my, but my, my deal is, is, is yeah, if you have a truck
- 35:15stop with more than hard spots, you used to have to have
- 35:16security, OK, for the lock. And you know, and I don't deter,
- 35:23I don't deter some of your shit. And showers during peak times
- 35:27should be limited to 15 minute turn around.
- 35:29You got these people getting out of their showers and the shower
- 35:34and clean for 1/2 hour for no it should be 15 minute turn around
- 35:37time when that person have that shower so the guy gets in there,
- 35:40cleans up so the next driver can get in there during peak hours.
- 35:45Get the camaraderie back on the road man.
- 35:48Make it great out there again. Drivers look out for each other
- 35:53coming in at my shower, look out for each other.
- 35:56OK Make the road respectful job out there.
- 36:00Everyone can do it. Have fun out there and make
- 36:02money. Yeah.
- 36:07So. OK, everybody.
- 36:09Thanks for coming along on the road.
- 36:14Which rocker? All right, What the hell now?
- 36:22Oh, I understand. I understand.
- 36:37Sorry guys. See you next time I'm out on the
- 36:46road. It's a wrap.
