- Lucas: Välkommen tillbaka, Swedish learners! This is Learn Swedish with Fexingo. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Lucas, my hands are warm from those gloves we bought last episode, but now my apartment feels so dull. Lucas: Oh, I know what would cheer it up — some fresh flowers! Let's head to a flower shop and learn how to buy flowers in Swedish. Luna: Yes! Blommor! I love flowers. So, what's the first thing I need to say? Lucas: Walk up to the florist and say: Jag skulle vilja ha en bukett blommor. That means 'I would like a bouquet of flowers.' Let's break it down. Jag skulle vilja ha — 'I would like to have.' En bukett blommor — 'a bouquet of flowers.' Listen once more: Jag skulle vilja ha en bukett blommor. Luna: Jag skulle vilja ha en bukett blommor. Hmm, that's a mouthful. Let me try again. Jag skulle vilja ha en bukett blommor. Lucas: Perfect! Great job, Luna. Now the florist might ask: Vilka blommor har ni? — 'What flowers do you have?' Actually, you can ask that yourself: Vilka blommor har ni? Luna: Vilka blommor har ni? Vilka means 'which' or 'what kind'. Blommor is flowers. Har ni — 'do you have'. That's a good one. Lucas: Exactly. Then you can point to a bouquet and ask: Hur mycket kostar den här buketten? — 'How much does this bouquet cost?' Den här means 'this', and buketten is 'the bouquet'. Repeat after me: Hur mycket kostar den här buketten? Luna: Hur mycket kostar den här buketten? That's a little tricky. Hur mycket kostar... I think I've got it. Hur mycket kostar den här buketten? Lucas: You've got it! And if you like it, you can say: Den är vacker. — 'It is beautiful.' Vacker is a lovely word. Den är vacker. Luna: Den är vacker. I can definitely say that about these imagined flowers. Vacker sounds like 'vacker' — very nice. Lucas: Then to buy, you say: Jag tar den, tack. — 'I'll take it, thank you.' Jag tar — 'I take', den — 'it', tack — 'thanks'. Simple. Luna: Jag tar den, tack. That feels straightforward. So overall: first ask for a bouquet, then ask about types, then price, then compliment, then buy. Lucas: Let's run through a mini scene. Imagine I'm the florist. You walk in. Luna: Hej! Jag skulle vilja ha en bukett blommor. Lucas: Hej! Vilka blommor har ni? Luna: Uh, I say: Vilka blommor har ni? Actually, you're the florist, so you ask me that. Lucas: Right, let me redo. I'll be the florist. So you say: Jag skulle vilja ha en bukett blommor. Luna: Jag skulle vilja ha en bukett blommor. Lucas: Vilka blommor har ni? Luna: Oh, I ask you? Okay. Vilka blommor har ni? Lucas: Good. Then I, as florist, say: Vi har rosor, tulpaner och liljor. How much would you like to spend? But you ask: Hur mycket kostar den här buketten? Luna: Hur mycket kostar den här buketten? And I point to one. Lucas: Exactly. I say: Den kostar 200 kronor. Then you say: Den är vacker. Jag tar den, tack. Luna: Den är vacker. Jag tar den, tack. Perfect. I feel ready to buy flowers in Swedish. Lucas: You are! And hey, you know what? This podcast is all about helping you make real progress with Swedish. Now, let's practice one more time with all the phrases together, Lucas. Lucas: Good idea. Lucas: Fantastic. Now you can brighten up any Swedish home. Practice these till we chat again. Hej då from both of us. Luna: Hej då! Glöm inte att öva! Don't forget to practice!
