- 2:05losing yourself.
- 2:07And on day two of this set, strength
- 2:10without force, series three, series five, excuse me,
- 2:15show three, and yes, episode number two.
- 2:21So it is so great to be with
- 2:23everyone.
- 2:23So hello, and welcome back to Inspirations for
- 2:26Your Life.
- 2:27This is the daily motivational show.
- 2:29It's created to help you grow stronger, wiser,
- 2:33from the inside out.
- 2:35Hey, I'm your host.
- 2:36I'm John C.
- 2:37Morley, serial entrepreneur, and it is a privilege
- 2:40and pleasure to be with you guys.
- 2:42Not only that, I'm also an engineer.
- 2:44I'm a marketing specialist.
- 2:45I'm a video producer.
- 2:46I'm a podcast host, coach, and of course,
- 2:50a graduate student and a passionate lifelong learner.
- 2:53And it is my privilege and pleasure to
- 2:54be with you here this evening.
- 2:56Everything shared on this show comes from real
- 2:59-world experience that I've had, building businesses, leading
- 3:03teams, navigating pressure, and learning that real success
- 3:08is built through clarity, control, and consistency, not
- 3:14force.
- 3:15Today, as I said, is day two of
- 3:17our quiet power series, strength without force.
- 3:22Some people say, how is that possible?
- 3:23It's very possible because the strongest people in
- 3:27the room don't need to prove it.
- 3:29Nope.
- 3:30They can quietly coexist and easily commandeer the
- 3:35room without even saying anything.
- 3:37They don't dominate.
- 3:39They don't rush.
- 3:40They don't do anything crazy.
- 3:43They outlast everyone.
- 3:45Number one, guys, real strength doesn't need to
- 3:48dominate real people.
- 3:53Real strength stands firm without intimidation and confident
- 3:59without aggression.
- 4:00I think a lot of people secretly try
- 4:04to put aggression in there.
- 4:06And I think that's a very, very big
- 4:09problem for a lot of people, like what's
- 4:13going on and why things are going on.
- 4:14So I think that's a very, very important
- 4:16thing to understand that life is not about
- 4:20aggression.
- 4:22Number two, guys, calm confidence is unshakable.
- 4:30Confidence built on calm doesn't crack under pressure.
- 4:35That's the most important thing.
- 4:36You don't win by overpowering.
- 4:39You win by outlasting endurance wins where force
- 4:44fails.
- 4:45Number four, strength shows up quietly.
- 4:49True strength is, well, restraint, patience, and it's
- 4:54about composure.
- 4:57Number five, guys, being grounded is stronger than
- 5:01being loud.
- 5:03A lot of people want to be loud,
- 5:05and they get people's attention.
- 5:08But guess what?
- 5:11They get their attention for a split second,
- 5:15okay?
- 5:19That's the important thing to understand.
- 5:23Very important to understand.
- 5:26Grounded presence will always last longer than any
- 5:29noise.
- 5:29So if somebody gets your attention because they're
- 5:32being rude and obnoxious and assertive in a
- 5:35wrong way, they'll get your attention, but then
- 5:39you'll quickly dismiss them.
- 5:42And maybe next time you won't pay so
- 5:45much attention because you know the kind of
- 5:47games they play.
- 5:48Number six, guys, controlled energy beats emotional reaction.
- 5:53Control keeps your power.
- 5:56So when we have control, we're calm, we're
- 6:00peaceful, right?
- 6:02But if we're not calm and we're not
- 6:04peaceful, how do we even move forward?
- 6:09We can't.
- 6:10We just keep chasing our own tail.
- 6:13Number seven, you don't need to raise your
- 6:16voice to raise your value.
- 6:19Authority comes from presence, not volume.
- 6:22So let me give you a perfect example.
- 6:24So many of you know that I do
- 6:25a lot of social media.
- 6:27Well, there was this one particular group that
- 6:30I was posting lots of value all the
- 6:32time, but I wasn't really getting traction.
- 6:37Now, I wasn't trying to sell anything, but
- 6:39I was just trying to go for likes.
- 6:41I mean, that's not a hard thing, right?
- 6:46And so what I discovered after being in
- 6:51this group for, oh, gosh, over nine years
- 6:53or more, it's a private community group.
- 7:01And I think a lot of people don't
- 7:03realize, like, what goes on or why things
- 7:07happen.
- 7:08So I create a post, all right?
- 7:10I wanted to create a post about the
- 7:14history of our community and having no other
- 7:18purpose than just to get pure, integral, honest
- 7:22engagement.
- 7:24So I discovered a photo back in the,
- 7:28oh, gosh, the 1920s.
- 7:30I wasn't even born yet.
- 7:32And I put a little caption that says
- 7:35I came across this photo, and I asked
- 7:38a question about some things in the town
- 7:40and how this affected some of the homes.
- 7:45And it just made me curious if anybody
- 7:47has ties that go back to this or
- 7:51even earlier.
- 7:53Share below.
- 7:55And I got a lot of engagement.
- 7:58Right now, the post has got 12, let's
- 8:02say, either likes or loves, and it's got
- 8:0423 comments.
- 8:10That's pretty impressive, guys, pretty impressive.
- 8:21And I'm sure I'm going to get more
- 8:23people that are going to comment, I'm sure.
- 8:30I think what I learned is that in
- 8:34these groups, you have to put yourself last.
- 8:40Now, even mentioning my name or doing a
- 8:43motivational tip or something, and I wasn't selling
- 8:46anything, it was still not capturing people.
- 8:51It wasn't resonating enough, so people were ignoring
- 8:54it.
- 8:54They were scrolling past it.
- 8:59And I discovered that you have to post
- 9:02about what the community is focused on, and
- 9:08that's community things.
- 9:09I wasn't loud, but I am showing an
- 9:16authority and building integrity in this community, in
- 9:20this group, because all these people are commenting,
- 9:25and my status will eventually get raised.
- 9:28I'm a rising contributor in this group, but
- 9:30eventually I will get even more than that.
- 9:35So that's interesting, right?
- 9:45It's important to understand this, guys.
- 9:48It's important to know what's happening.
- 9:52And when I found out that my post
- 9:57took off, not because, again, I never tried
- 10:01to sell anything, but the post was not
- 10:03about me.
- 10:05The other thing I did is I didn't
- 10:07jump on everybody's comments.
- 10:09When they made a comment and it was
- 10:11in the route to me directly, I would
- 10:15thank them for the comment or make some
- 10:17kind of very great remark, thanking them in
- 10:21a very unique way.
- 10:22And I always liked their comment.
- 10:25But when somebody else would make a comment
- 10:26on somebody else, I would just like it.
- 10:30I would not jump in and reply to
- 10:32it.
- 10:33So being a person with integrity is not
- 10:36easy, guys, I've got to tell you.
- 10:37This group has over 2,500 people, and
- 10:41to get that many interactions, okay, that's interesting,
- 10:48guys.
- 10:48It's a very interesting thing.
- 10:52It's interesting because people don't always realize what
- 11:01they're doing, okay?
- 11:06They don't always realize it.
- 11:11And that's important, guys.
- 11:14It's very, very important to understand, all right?
- 11:23Very, very important.
- 11:27And when we do something with integrity, we
- 11:31connect with the true core meaning of what
- 11:33people are behind in the group, not what
- 11:37I'm behind, but what the core of the
- 11:40group is behind.
- 11:40So you have to make sure that you
- 11:42approach that properly.
- 11:45Number eight, stability is strength, consistency, and it
- 11:49builds trust.
- 11:50What's happening in this post right now?
- 11:54I'm being consistent.
- 11:56I'm laying back.
- 11:57Guess what?
- 11:59Oh, people are responding.
- 12:02They are responding, okay?
- 12:10I think that's something that a lot of
- 12:12people miss, like what things are about, right?
- 12:23I think sometimes we don't realize what integrity
- 12:28is until we know, okay?
- 12:45How do we do it?
- 12:47We do it by being full of integrity.
- 12:54And when we can get other people to
- 12:56see that we're truly about that, in a
- 12:58soft way, without blasting and being loud, we
- 13:03are loud in a way, but in a
- 13:04respectful way, a way that's about truth and
- 13:07integrity.
- 13:09Number nine, guys, power that lasts doesn't rush.
- 13:14Rushing is panic disguised as progress.
- 13:18Number 10, soft doesn't mean weak.
- 13:20Okay, that's important.
- 13:21Compassion requires strength.
- 13:24Number 11, self-control is elite strength.
- 13:27Composure separates the leaders from the reactors.
- 13:33When you create a post or when you
- 13:35interact with somebody, do you really think about
- 13:38what you're going to post, or do you
- 13:39just like throw something up there and just
- 13:40hope it sticks?
- 13:42That's what most people do.
- 13:44And that's kind of why they get banned
- 13:46or why they get a lower reputation.
- 13:50Number 12, you don't need to win every
- 13:52argument.
- 13:53Peace is more valuable than your ego.
- 13:58But the ego seems to be something that
- 14:00a lot of people, well, they miss.
- 14:10They miss.
- 14:13So let's put our ego aside, and let's
- 14:17operate from our pure core values.
- 14:20Number 13, stillness intimidates chaos.
- 14:24Calmness removes the chaos's fuel.
- 14:27Not instantaneously, but it does remove it.
- 14:30Number 14, guys, strength is staying when it's
- 14:32easier to quit.
- 14:34Persistence is quiet courage.
- 14:36Number 15, force breaks things.
- 14:41Strength builds them.
- 14:43One destroys the other, and it compounds.
- 14:48And once it gets destroyed, people don't even
- 14:51know how to rebuild it.
- 14:53I think that becomes the problem, not just
- 14:54what to rebuild, but they don't even know
- 14:56how to rebuild it.
- 14:58Number 16, calm people scare insecure systems.
- 15:04Stability exposes weaknesses.
- 15:07Number 17, power is knowing when not to
- 15:10act.
- 15:10Restraint is wisdom.
- 15:13So choosing not to act is a wisdom.
- 15:18I think that's a very important thing for
- 15:23us to think about.
- 15:25Very important thing to think about.
- 15:28Number 18, you don't need to prove dominance.
- 15:32Confidence doesn't announce itself.
- 15:35In the group and how I got all
- 15:36that attention, I didn't stand up on a
- 15:40building and shout or beg people to follow
- 15:43me.
- 15:44I posted something about real value, something that
- 15:48got people to want to engage, something that
- 15:52had a thread that would keep going even
- 15:54if I didn't.
- 15:57That's true leadership.
- 16:00Number 19, guys, true strength doesn't flinch.
- 16:06Strong people respond, not react.
- 16:11Number 20, guys, discipline beats intensity.
- 16:16Discipline always outlasts the motivation.
- 16:19Sometimes we falter on motivation, but our discipline
- 16:23is what's going to reengage the motivation.
- 16:25That's important to understand.
- 16:27Number 21, control creates freedom.
- 16:32Self-mastery equals freedom.
- 16:37So when we learn how to master that,
- 16:39our life sort of changes.
- 16:41Not overnight, but we do notice some subtle
- 16:44changes.
- 16:45Subtle changes are the best because those are
- 16:47the ones that stick for life.
- 16:49Number 22, guys, strength doesn't perform.
- 16:53Real strength exists without applause.
- 16:56Real strength exists without applause.
- 17:03That's powerful.
- 17:04Powerful words, guys.
- 17:06Number 23, peaceful people are dangerous in the
- 17:10best way.
- 17:12Calm focus is extremely powerful.
- 17:16Number 24, quiet resilience outlasts hype.
- 17:22Resilience will always endure.
- 17:25Number 25, strength isn't loud.
- 17:30It's consistent.
- 17:31Consistency builds momentum over and over and over
- 17:35again.
- 17:37Number 26, you don't need anger to be
- 17:40powerful.
- 17:43Clarity beats rage every time.
- 17:47Every time.
- 17:49It's those that become impatient that have the
- 17:53most challenges.
- 17:55They want everything basically tonight, okay?
- 18:04They can't wait for the moment.
- 18:07But those that can't wait for the moment
- 18:10are the ones that are going to lose
- 18:14the moment faster than they've gotten it.
- 18:20Number 27, guys, focus is strength.
- 18:27Focus is strength.
- 18:30Energy produces results.
- 18:34Everybody wants results now or they want it
- 18:37yesterday.
- 18:39But they're not willing to figure out what
- 18:41results is about.
- 18:43They just know that they've got to have
- 18:45it now.
- 18:46Got to have it now.
- 18:50And I know you're probably saying to me,
- 18:52John, well, that's not me.
- 18:54I'm not saying it is you or it's
- 18:55not you.
- 18:55All I'm saying is that you need to
- 18:58be aware, okay, of what's actually going on.
- 19:07You need to be aware of these things.
- 19:14That's important, guys.
- 19:19Very important.
- 19:25If you don't understand these things, guess what
- 19:27happens?
- 19:28You get lost.
- 19:32And when you get lost, you sometimes become
- 19:34frustrated.
- 19:35And when you get frustrated, some people even
- 19:40get depressed.
- 19:41I don't know if that's nice to say.
- 19:43But some people do get depressed because they're
- 19:46out of energy.
- 19:47They're out of resources.
- 19:48They don't know where to turn.
- 19:54They have no idea where they should turn.
- 20:01Where do they turn?
- 20:07Where should they turn?
- 20:16Where should they turn?
- 20:19I think they should turn to things that
- 20:26have to do with their core.
- 20:30Their core.
- 20:31Who is their real core?
- 20:32What is their core?
- 20:34If you don't know what your core is,
- 20:36you're going to keep getting lost.
- 20:39You're going to keep getting frustrated.
- 20:41You're going to keep getting, I'm going to
- 20:45say, so confused that you'll wonder where you
- 20:54should be next.
- 20:56Why you should be somewhere next.
- 20:59And if those things make sense to you,
- 21:06then you'll be able to grow in life.
- 21:11Not because you have to, but because you
- 21:13want to grow.
- 21:15Growing happens when we are in alignment with
- 21:18our core values.
- 21:21And core values, guys, don't just flip overnight.
- 21:24We take time to pick and make these
- 21:31core values part of our life.
- 21:34Everything we do centers around them.
- 21:37That's important, guys.
- 21:38Number 28, strong people don't chase chaos.
- 21:45They stay centered.
- 21:47Kind of like, you know, the yin and
- 21:49the yang.
- 21:50They have the balance.
- 21:53They stay centered.
- 21:55They don't get thrown off their track.
- 21:59They're not easily distracted.
- 22:02All right, guys, that's important.
- 22:05Number 29, calm energy wins long-term steadiness.
- 22:12And the decisions compound when you do that.
- 22:17If you understood just one of these things,
- 22:20you say, John, this makes a lot of
- 22:21sense.
- 22:22Number 30, power without ego is unstoppable.
- 22:27Humility multiplies the strength.
- 22:29I know a lot of people that you
- 22:33look at them and think they're humble.
- 22:35But then after you've been around them a
- 22:38while, it's like you're not humble at all.
- 22:43Okay?
- 22:44You're not humble at all.
- 22:52And by not being humble at all, you
- 22:55will lose a lot of people's respect.
- 23:04You'll wonder why you lost the alignment.
- 23:11I'm going to tell you why.
- 23:12You lost it because you lost the insight
- 23:18to what really matters to you.
- 23:21Everything we do, whether it's making money, whether
- 23:24it's relationships, everything we do is about our
- 23:29core values.
- 23:31And if something we do suddenly doesn't align
- 23:33with our core values, we're going to find
- 23:35ourselves stepping away from whatever we're doing, whether
- 23:38it's volunteering, whether it's a relationship.
- 23:40I don't care what it is.
- 23:47Your core values stay with you for a
- 23:50long time.
- 23:53So we need to be kind and we
- 23:56need to be compassionate to ourselves because, guys,
- 23:58that's where the core values are.
- 24:03That is where the core values actually –
- 24:09very, very important thing.
- 24:11But I know a lot of you are
- 24:13saying to me, John, but my values keep
- 24:17changing day by day.
- 24:18No, they don't.
- 24:20They keep changing.
- 24:22Those are not your core values.
- 24:27Those might be some type of things that
- 24:29are attached to you, but they're not your
- 24:30true core values.
- 24:37They're not your true core values.
- 24:40They are not your true core values.
- 24:50Am I making sense?
- 24:51Am I hitting home with you?
- 24:53I hope I am.
- 24:59When we take a moment to ponder our
- 25:06core values, let me give you one of
- 25:07mine.
- 25:08One of mine is integrity.
- 25:10I'm not going to do something if it
- 25:13conflicts to not being an integral thing.
- 25:19Other people will because, oh, you know what?
- 25:21It'll make money.
- 25:22It'll do this.
- 25:22It'll do that.
- 25:23It'll get me a popularity contest, one.
- 25:31If integrity is in your core values, you're
- 25:34not going to do it.
- 25:35Some people will, but you're not going to
- 25:38do it if it's part of your integrity.
- 25:40Ladies and gentlemen, this has been Inspirations for
- 25:44Your Life.
- 25:45That's right, guys.
- 25:46It's the daily motivational show.
- 25:48On this show, I share with you how
- 25:55you can make changes in your life.
- 25:57I show the people in the world how
- 26:03they can get real strength without force.
- 26:09Strength is not about how strong you are.
- 26:13We're talking about strength from a resilience standpoint,
- 26:17from a mindset perspective.
- 26:20That's the kind of force we are talking
- 26:22about.
- 26:22Not how many pounds of weight you can
- 26:28lift.
- 26:29That's not what I'm talking about.
- 26:31Ladies and gentlemen, I am John C.
- 26:36Morley, serial entrepreneur.
- 26:37I want to remind you that being calm
- 26:43and staying in control and being consistent are
- 26:49the strongest forms of power anyone can have.
- 26:57People that walk softly and carry a big
