- 0:04Let's talk. What's good weirdos?
- 0:06Welcome back. It's episode 29.
- 0:09So close to 30, so close to 30. I cannot believe romance at 30.
- 0:13So I just wanted to take some time to say thank y'all for
- 0:15watching. We appreciate y'all.
- 0:17Thank y'all for listening. Thank y'all for subscribing on
- 0:20YouTube and Spotify and Apple. And also, if you're not like,
- 0:24why aren't you? That's just me.
- 0:26I feel like you should push that button.
- 0:28Hello. But we love y'all.
- 0:30We thank y'all. Y'all are the best.
- 0:32And First things first, I want to get into the story.
- 0:35We have a story submission from last week.
- 0:37Thank y'all for submitting those stories.
- 0:39By the way, if you don't know how to do so, if you're watching
- 0:41on YouTube, please go into the description.
- 0:43It's right there. If you're listening, go to
- 0:45our2gens.com to submit a story. But just a warning on this one,
- 0:51it gets pretty intense. Oh my goodness, you ready?
- 0:53I'm ready. OK so we got a story submission.
- 0:57My cousins are dating in secret and no one is doing anything
- 1:00about it. Take a breath.
- 1:03Let's get into it. I am OK, I can handle this, OK?
- 1:07She said. I Female 17, found out that my
- 1:11cousin male 19 is dating our cousin female 15 and I'm not
- 1:16sure what to do. Before you ask, yes, they are
- 1:20related. Let's call my male cousin Ace
- 1:24and my female cousin Rose. They're not real names.
- 1:27I've always noticed that they've had a weird relationship going
- 1:29on. They are weirdly close, like
- 1:32speaking for hours on the phone, sharing 1 bed, hanging out all
- 1:35the time. But I ignored it since Rose's
- 1:38mother kept bragging about how cute the relationship is and how
- 1:41sweet it is that Rose is looking up to Ace.
- 1:45We're in it's tense in here. One day Rose decided to spend
- 1:50time with me because Ace blew her off.
- 1:51We were watching a movie on her phone.
- 1:54I was losing my patience since he was interrupting the movie by
- 1:56texting all the time. She would stop the movie to
- 1:59respond. After a while she left the room
- 2:02and he kept on texting her and I grew annoyed so I grabbed her
- 2:05phone and I wanted to turn it on do not disturb but as I did he
- 2:09texted at the same moment. She had text previews on and all
- 2:13I saw was quote, baby, you're so lot, send more.
- 2:19I'm going to admit to the next part what I did was wrong, but I
- 2:23clicked on the text. Yeah, yeah, I scrolled through
- 2:26the text. All I saw were inappropriate
- 2:28comments about what he's going to do to her, him begging for
- 2:31inappropriate pictures and her sending them.
- 2:34Also a text with them planning on running away together as soon
- 2:37as she turns 16 because yes, let's remember she's 16.
- 2:41She's 18. This did lead me to freak out.
- 2:45OK, I scrolled. I know I scrolled far enough to
- 2:49find out that they were dating for 16 months at this point.
- 2:52Whoa. I took some pictures of the
- 2:56chat. Not not the pictures that she
- 2:58sent, but just a text and acted as if nothing had happened.
- 3:02When she returned later on, I showed those pictures to Rose's
- 3:06mom. She was shaken, thanked me
- 3:08profusely and promised to do something about it.
- 3:11The time passed and her mom told me they broke up.
- 3:14She blocked and deleted his number, and her mom threatened
- 3:17to tell Ace's apparent about it if they ever contacted her
- 3:20again. Apparently Ace's parents are
- 3:22abusive too, so a few months have passed since then and
- 3:26obviously they did not keep their distance.
- 3:29I caught them exchanging numbers again and they rekindled their
- 3:32relationship again. I did tell Rose's mom again but
- 3:35she's not doing anything. They're obviously together again
- 3:38and holding hands in front of me and I have to pretend to not
- 3:41know anything about it because the mom isn't doing anything.
- 3:44I'm pretty much helpless since obviously my cousin is grooming
- 3:48her and he's obviously a predator but no one seems to
- 3:51care. Please help me out and tell me
- 3:53what to do. So before we go into this, I
- 3:59just want to say you're a very brave girl for submitting this,
- 4:05for admitting that this is happening, and for first telling
- 4:09the parents what's going on. So you're asking us what to do.
- 4:12But I feel like you did the best thing already.
- 4:15You already told the parents what's going on.
- 4:17You made them aware of the situation and I feel like, babe,
- 4:22you're 17. Whatever's going on in this
- 4:24relationship does not lay on your shoulders.
- 4:28So it's not whether or not I do this or not, whether or not
- 4:32yadda, yadda, yadda, this relationship will continue and
- 4:35not. That's a lot of pressure to put
- 4:36on yourself. You told the important people,
- 4:39which is their parents and what they do is not on you.
- 4:43But I do respect and appreciate the fact that you were
- 4:46acknowledging that this is a weird situation and that you're
- 4:49like, can I? I get some help.
- 4:52I am a little speechless because I'm not sure what type of advice
- 4:57you know, We're not licensed in any type of thing.
- 5:00As a mom, I agree that you should have.
- 5:05You did what you needed to do. You brought this to the parents,
- 5:09the adults in the relationship here in the situation.
- 5:12And one parent did the right thing at first, but now, even
- 5:16after knowing that it has rekindled, they've decided not
- 5:21to continue doing the the right thing.
- 5:24And this isn't on you. You know you can't hold on to
- 5:28this burden, man. I am speechless, speechless,
- 5:32really speechless over this one because I can't imagine the kind
- 5:36of pressure that is on you right now be especially trying to
- 5:40pretend like you don't see it or you don't know what's going on.
- 5:43And the only reason you're doing so is because you feel like
- 5:46everyone else is doing so. The parents aren't saying
- 5:48anything, so you feel like you don't have to say anything
- 5:50either. Yes.
- 5:51And that's a lot of pressure. And that's not fair to you.
- 5:53No, But I feel like you've done everything that you can do.
- 5:57Yes, and just. It's not on you.
- 6:01It it really isn't. And oh man.
- 6:04I know I'm sorry to like lay it out there on that first one, but
- 6:08whoa, this is an inappropriate relationship in in several
- 6:13cousins 19 and 15. Yes, the grooming is 100% there.
- 6:18The fact that your family is. Also inappropriate, you know,
- 6:23it's just, there's so many layers to this and I, I'm not
- 6:26speechless often, but this one does feel like if there's maybe
- 6:33another adult, an auntie, you know, somebody in the family
- 6:36that you can maybe talk to that might have a little bit of
- 6:40something to say to your cousin, the female cousin, to be able to
- 6:45make her see the light a little bit better.
- 6:47Since mom, a lot of times the, the mother child relationship
- 6:51and the parent child relationship can be really like
- 6:54this. Don't talk to me because you're
- 6:56my mom. You don't know what you're
- 6:57talking about versus having an aunt or an uncle or another
- 7:00cousin, an adult. You know that they was able to
- 7:03come into this and, and speak a little bit more to the
- 7:06situation. But if you don't, I literally
- 7:10agree with Trinity that this is not on you.
- 7:13You have done what you should. Yeah.
- 7:16And we don't, we don't know the situation.
- 7:18We don't know what relationships are going on between you and
- 7:22their parents and your parents and their parents.
- 7:25Like, we have no idea. But yeah, again, you've done
- 7:29everything that you were supposed to do.
- 7:31I feel like you were responsible in that manner.
- 7:33You didn't tell anyone that you were like, I disapprove of this.
- 7:36This is angry. That's not what you did.
- 7:38You were just like, I brought the information to their
- 7:41parents. That was the most that you could
- 7:43do. I think you're fine.
- 7:44It doesn't less, you know, rest on your shoulders.
- 7:48Breathe. Yes.
- 7:49And it is inappropriate, but it's not on you.
- 7:53Yeah. No, no, they're true.
- 8:00They are. So it may not technically be
- 8:02illegal, and I know in some states it's not illegal.
- 8:05To be with your cousin, I know and and some others, you can get
- 8:09the what is it the Romeo and Juliet situation where you can
- 8:14make it a legal situation. So it's just there's so many
- 8:17factors going on here, but based off the information that you
- 8:20provided, I think you've done enough and you can take a bit of
- 8:26that pressure off of you. Yeah.
- 8:28Thank you so much for writing in.
- 8:30Thank you for feeling like this was a safe enough space for you
- 8:32to submit that. We hope that maybe some people
- 8:35might be able to help out in the comments as well.
- 8:38Add some advice in the comments. If y'all know anything about
- 8:41this, put it in the comments, please.
- 8:43So. Just.
- 8:44And be kind and be very kind. We don't know the situation and
- 8:47this is a child writing in yes, but thank you, we really
- 8:51appreciate it. You, hey, you just, you're like,
- 8:55let's just go, right? Right in there.
- 8:59I know. I'm sorry.
- 9:00Let's breathe. We are going to breathe.
- 9:02All right, All right, so I have another update.
- 9:07Yes, am an update. Am I overreacting for calling a
- 9:11divorce attorney after my husband lied about who he was
- 9:13with? So y'all, this was a hot button
- 9:17on our TikTok. People were so pressed and we
- 9:23were all so sure we we were 100% sure.
- 9:26So let me do a little recap. First of all, if you're on
- 9:28YouTube, click the card. If you're watching this on
- 9:30TikTok, just scroll back on our page a little bit.
- 9:32You'll be able to find this, but the original idea was the a
- 9:36woman wrote in because her husband was trying to go camping
- 9:40on a weekend when their six year old daughter had a ballet
- 9:44recital or something along those lines.
- 9:48And if he was not there, she would have to also bring his her
- 9:51six year old brother so she'd to be responsible for both kids.
- 9:55He was going to go camping with his brother and he prefaced the
- 9:59trip by saying that Verizon was going to have outages and he
- 10:03probably wouldn't have cell phone.
- 10:04I'm sorry, but red flies. It's like, are you going to like
- 10:07ruin the lot? Like that's insane.
- 10:10And when the wife didn't hear from her husband, she got
- 10:13nervous. She called her sister-in-law,
- 10:15his brother's wife, and said, hey, have you heard from the
- 10:19boys? They're camping.
- 10:21And the sister-in-law said, I don't know what you're talking
- 10:23about. He's sitting right here next to
- 10:25me. Y'all.
- 10:26So he lied about who he was with.
- 10:28By the time he got back, she had already called a divorce
- 10:31attorney and he was sleeping in the basement.
- 10:34Well, I'm ready for this one. I'm ready for this one.
- 10:37OK, so she's a little feisty too.
- 10:40I will. I will preface this, she says.
- 10:43I know this isn't the update any of you want, but it's the
- 10:45updates you're going to get. Oh, I'm nervous.
- 10:47He was truly camping alone in the woods.
- 10:52That's crazy. He truly had no service.
- 10:58He did mention it prior specifically because we both
- 11:01were in SOS mode all day the Tuesday before he left because
- 11:04of the Verizon Nationwide outage.
- 11:06I don't want to hear this. I don't want to hear it.
- 11:10I don't. Oh my God.
- 11:11OK, for everyone who thinks I'm a naive moron.
- 11:15OK, she put a little shrugging emoji.
- 11:17So that leads me to believe something that this is just what
- 11:22she chooses to believe. OK.
- 11:24So we will continue from here. He's being all distracting, I'm
- 11:28pretty sure being all distracting dancing and.
- 11:30Everything because he believed that he was truly camping.
- 11:34He just did not want. And there was a lot of comments
- 11:37that came through saying, you know, he just didn't know how to
- 11:40say that he needed time away. OK, so for everyone who thinks
- 11:43he just needed a break from the pressures of a high stakes job
- 11:46and two young kids, let me tell you, this man has felt zero
- 11:50stress from having two young kids.
- 11:52I do their homework with them. I do the bedtime routine.
- 11:55I register for them them for everything.
- 11:57I take them to all practices and performances.
- 12:00I coach when it's a sport I'm familiar with.
- 12:02I volunteer at their school and at every event I can before
- 12:06they're old enough that my face there won't be humiliating.
- 12:09I mow the lawn. I shovel the snow.
- 12:12When the sink leaked, I fixed it.
- 12:16Like there isn't a honey do list here that I'm not giving credit
- 12:19for. I told him I contacted an
- 12:21attorney and he had no reply. The next day he asked if we
- 12:26could talk. He admitted that he's been a
- 12:27real shitty partner and dad for the past two years.
- 12:30He says he cited very specific examples of him being a shitty
- 12:34dad. Not knowing our son's teacher's
- 12:36name, Never seeing a single performance from our daughter in
- 12:39a cheer or dance. Not doing anything around the
- 12:41house. Constantly being mad at me for
- 12:44having emotions. Punishing me for anything that
- 12:46he's viewed as an indiscretion by ignoring me for a week until
- 12:52he thought enough time had passed when he would resurface.
- 12:55Pretending everything was fine. That's insane.
- 12:57He had all those on deck. So you know, he's been here,
- 13:01he's been listening. Not one apology, not one thank
- 13:05you for taking such good care of my family while he wasn't there
- 13:08mentally. No ask for therapy which I was
- 13:11grateful for since last time requested therapy.
- 13:13He then attended every session stone faced and gave me no
- 13:16response after I begged for any acknowledgement of anything.
- 13:20I said Oh my God, Oh my God, this took a turn.
- 13:24I was not expecting this. We are voyeurs in this, these
- 13:28people's relationship. She ends by saying anyway, wish
- 13:32me luck on the rest of my life. I will never be with a man ever
- 13:36again. Zero stars do not recommend.
- 13:39Stop. Zero stars do not recommend.
- 13:41That is iconic stop. That's not what I expected, She
- 13:46said You're right, I was wrong. He actually didn't have any
- 13:50service. But that's not the reason I'm
- 13:52divorcing him. I'm divorcing him because he was
- 13:54a terrible husband, period. I'm not mad at that.
- 13:59OK? Like we said on the first video,
- 14:02this was not the first straw. This was the last.
- 14:04The last. Yes.
- 14:05Oh my God. OK, so I could admit we were
- 14:08wrong. We were wrong because I said
- 14:09straight up he was cheating. We were wrong.
- 14:13But we weren't wrong in assuming that he.
- 14:15Was a little. Sketchy as a person?
- 14:16Yes, exactly because you knew that there was something going
- 14:21on. She also had mentioned that it
- 14:23was A and these other five year olds.
- 14:26It's not a huge like a huge dance recital or anything like
- 14:29that. Stake championships.
- 14:30But what it was is you couldn't be there to help your spouse who
- 14:35would need to now watch both children.
- 14:37He had said something in the original post about I'll hire a
- 14:42like daycare a babysitter and she's like so I still have to
- 14:45get him ready and drive him the opposite direction to go to a
- 14:47babysitter and so. In addition to you not caring
- 14:51enough to be like, I want to be there for my child anyway.
- 14:55Like people think that your kids don't remember things like that.
- 14:59It's like, oh, but they do. They do.
- 15:01They do. So you're affecting your kids.
- 15:02And then you're not even trying or attempting to help your wife.
- 15:06And then, you know, you're doing bad things.
- 15:08You're keeping tally of all the things that you're failing at as
- 15:11a husband and as a father, and you're choosing to do nothing
- 15:14about it. That part, that's insane.
- 15:17So she was like, let me just set the record straight here.
- 15:21She put it in the comment section too.
- 15:22She made me search for this. OK, She's hilarious.
- 15:27She is hilarious but she's like 0 stars I'll never do.
- 15:30This again and honestly, I don't blame her.
- 15:33I don't blame her. That's why that's not what I
- 15:36That was a good update. Wow.
- 15:39That is not what I expected at all.
- 15:42I was been like, OK, yeah, we're wrong.
- 15:43I was ready to be like, I apologize.
- 15:47Absolutely not. I don't think we owe anybody an
- 15:50apology here. Oh my God, that's phenomenal.
- 15:55That was a good one. Thank you for that.
- 15:57Of course. Thank you.
- 16:02Basically, there's a little some something going on in Minnesota.
- 16:05There's a bill if we can go to my screen, this woman on my
- 16:09screen is Anita Lebrun, and she basically went in front of a
- 16:13judge to basically say, hey, I think we should allow senior
- 16:17homes to serve alcohol. That part.
- 16:20I'm with her and I'm with her because they said basically the
- 16:24bills still following the standard rules of alcohol
- 16:27serving anywhere, just in bars, not allowing anyone over 21 to
- 16:31drink and now not allowing anyone over 18 to serve drinks.
- 16:34Naturally responsible drinking. Just in senior homes, I don't
- 16:40see the difference. I don't see a problem here
- 16:42because why not? You know, they just want to be
- 16:44able to have a little, a little snack with their some some they
- 16:47do all the other things. They get to have their picnics
- 16:50and get togethers and all that stuff.
- 16:52And it's like, why? Just because I'm in this home,
- 16:54can I not have a little, a little sip, a little some, some?
- 16:57OK. And we all know she mentioned
- 16:59the good part too. She's like, we all know that if
- 17:01you prevent somebody like say a teenager, for example, prevent
- 17:05them from doing something, all they're going to go is go out
- 17:08and do it, but in an irresponsible and harmful way.
- 17:11So these these old folks are going out trying to get dressed.
- 17:16Oh my God, get dressed. They sneaking out to go get
- 17:19dressed on ice. And you know, right, because she
- 17:21said, because now we have to go out and we could slip on ice,
- 17:24break our hips, break our hips. When you can just serve them
- 17:26responsibly inside the comfort of the nursing and you know,
- 17:31senior living homes and just let them enjoy themselves.
- 17:33I see no issue here. I see no problem here and I hope
- 17:36it passes same. Because what they're calling it
- 17:39what the grandparents happy hour bill period, let them enjoy
- 17:43themselves because it's not about getting blackout drunk.
- 17:47It's not the point. They're just like, let's enjoy
- 17:50our lives, enjoy each other's company.
- 17:53We live memories like. Come on, just with a little sip.
- 17:57Like I understand not everybody drinks alcohol, but it is a
- 18:02social thing, you know, it can be a social thing.
- 18:04So a glass of wine, a little cocktail.
- 18:07Nobody, like you said, nobody's talking about getting blackout
- 18:09drunk. But I saw a quote there.
- 18:10It said living here shouldn't mean fewer freedoms than anybody
- 18:13else. Thank you.
- 18:14And so if I would like a drink, I should be able to have a
- 18:18drink. Thank you.
- 18:19I am a grown ass person, period. Lived a life.
- 18:23And So what? Because I'm living here, I can't
- 18:24have that. Nah, they doing everything else
- 18:28apparently. That part, that part.
- 18:31If y'all don't know about that, don't worry about it.
- 18:34You too young anyway. Don't worry about it.
- 18:40Oh my goodness, that's amazing. That's so funny.
- 18:44So I was able to find out which region in the American states
- 18:50have the sexiest accent. I'm about to be really mad
- 18:54because I I briefly looked at the list.
- 18:56Please go ahead. So this is actually it was
- 19:00posted by Babel, the language learning site, and they asked
- 19:032000 single people. So I wrote them down from least
- 19:06sexy to sexiest. OK, top ten.
- 19:10OK, all right, so #10 they say is least sexy.
- 19:15Also, let me say while we're reading this, if you have
- 19:17feelings about this, put it in the comment section and also let
- 19:20us know which region you feel no and which you feel is the
- 19:24sexiest. I want to know what you think is
- 19:26the sexiest. Our own region.
- 19:29Then let's do it. Let's do it because I don't.
- 19:32The one I think is the sexiest is not the one I live in.
- 19:35OK, so it might be might surprise you.
- 19:38OK, All right, So the least sexiest #10 is the Appalachian
- 19:42region, which is Pennsylvania to North Alabama.
- 19:46Yeah, all. Right #9 Philadelphia they just
- 19:51was like just surrounding areas and Philadelphia the.
- 19:56Hate. 8 #8 inland northern slash Great Lakes, which is Chicago,
- 20:03Minneapolis, Cleveland and Milwaukee.
- 20:06I don't think I agree with that. Yeah #7 New England, which is
- 20:11Boston, and parts of Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine
- 20:14and New Hampshire. They don't like Boston.
- 20:18Why? Not.
- 20:19I don't know. I'm sitting here gonna try to
- 20:20prep one. Do not let me do accents.
- 20:22I'm horrible at it. The Boston.
- 20:25You know what? You better than me.
- 20:29All right, number six California, specifically
- 20:32southern Cali they some haters that we didn't make top five
- 20:36they're haters. They just they they want to find
- 20:40any chance to try to win over California, so they're going to
- 20:43take their little. We have the sexier accent.
- 20:46Fine, take it, we'll win it. Everything else, bye.
- 20:48Uh. Oh, somebody's pressed.
- 20:52Bye. OK, these are the top five.
- 20:56All right #5 is General American, which is considered
- 21:00the Midwest, mountain states, Pacific Northwest and parts of
- 21:03the West Coast. So it's like general, a general
- 21:08American accent. OK #4 Miami and South Florida,
- 21:14Latino influenced American English.
- 21:18I can. Yeah.
- 21:20Cross for sure #3 New York City and surrounding metro areas all.
- 21:27Right. Yep, all right.
- 21:29So #2 Louisiana slash Cajun. They do have fire accents.
- 21:35I like that. Yeah.
- 21:41And the number one sexiest accent, according to these
- 21:44people, is Southern American, which is Texas, Georgia,
- 21:49Alabama, Mississippi, the Carolinas, Tennessee and
- 21:52Arkansas. I disagree.
- 21:54I'm sorry, I passionately disagree.
- 21:57What I. Why?
- 22:00I don't know, Southern accent. I don't, I don't dig that.
- 22:04It actually, like, irks me. It's kind of like it.
- 22:06Just like, yeah, it's too aggressive, too specific, I
- 22:12think. Well, I think my favorite is New
- 22:15York. New York.
- 22:17I really love a New York accent. I think it's great, but I want
- 22:20to know what you all think Yes about this list and what's your
- 22:24favorite sexiest act. Please put it in the comments.
- 22:26We're we're so curious. I'm gonna keep Reverend Callie,
- 22:30but that's just me. Oh yeah, for sure.
- 22:32Top three. That is just.
- 22:33For sure, y'all are just some haters all right.
- 22:39So to get a little bit on the more passionate side, I'm on the
- 22:43younger side. So this is a discussion that I'm
- 22:45really interested in and just like let's get into it, we can
- 22:48go to my screen. So the woman on your screen is
- 22:51McKenna Simmonson, I think her name is, and she is a special
- 22:55needs graduate from Washington State.
- 22:57Essentially she graduated with the 3.87 GPA but with a first
- 23:02grade reading level. We need to like repeat that.
- 23:06So she graduated with honors with honors with a 3.87 GPA, but
- 23:12her reading level was at a first grade level.
- 23:15Amazing how that can happen. That's insane.
- 23:18So basically her family is now suing the school district and
- 23:23saying that it is benevolent discrimination.
- 23:25And so in case you are unaware of benevolent discrimination, I
- 23:29have it on here, just so you know.
- 23:31It's basically a. Unique sort of discrimination
- 23:33that like references the actions that appear to be
- 23:36well-intentioned towards mostly marginalized groups, but in
- 23:41reality, they're still perpetuating like a stereotype
- 23:44and keeping those specific marginalized groups down.
- 23:48For example, the token black friend in every movie and TV
- 23:52show that you've ever seen. Well then I want to use that one
- 23:55as a specific example because we all know what that is, right?
- 23:58Forever condoned to be the comedic relief or the nerdy side
- 24:02friend, but never good enough to be the main character or the
- 24:05love interest. But we're there for diversity
- 24:07just so you can see how diverse it is, right?
- 24:09It's good, but it's not good. That's what it means.
- 24:12So basically she graduated, got a diploma, and her goal was to
- 24:18go go to this vocational program that's basically going to allow
- 24:20her to trans, like transition from high school to later on in
- 24:24life. And it would have been a free
- 24:26program. But since she got a diploma, it
- 24:30cost money, so she was not eligible to go for that program
- 24:33so. Even though she didn't earn it
- 24:35technically. Exactly.
- 24:36So now she had to go to an alternative which was like a
- 24:40Community College and now she has to pay $40,000 a year.
- 24:44For this education, education which she would have gotten for
- 24:47free if she just didn't get this diploma or, or well, The thing
- 24:54is to get to this level because she was super excited to
- 24:58graduate and she's just like, yes, I earned this.
- 25:00This feels great. So she's going to this, you
- 25:03know, secondary level and realizing how far behind she is.
- 25:08She's working her ass off in this program to be able to just
- 25:12get to the level that she should have gotten to.
- 25:14Before she graduated. Thank you.
- 25:16A first grade reading level. How does that happen?
- 25:19It's essentially A participation trophy that she was getting.
- 25:22That's what her lawyers were saying.
- 25:23This is a participation diploma essentially that just sent her
- 25:26through but is doing her no good in the long run anyway because
- 25:30one, she still can't get the free vocational program that she
- 25:33would have needed in the 1st place and 2nd she's playing
- 25:36catch up the entire time. So now she's in school, three
- 25:40years in school, 22 years old now, and she is 100 and.
- 25:44And $60,000 in student debt if if she needed more time to be
- 25:50able to get these things or more education more look they should
- 25:53have given it to her instead of being like OK cool see you in
- 25:56the next grade pushed you. Through which was the benevolent
- 25:59discrimination part that we were talking about.
- 26:02It was the we're going to help you out because of a certain
- 26:06thing. She is a special needs student.
- 26:08Remember, we're going to, yes, we're going to, we're going to
- 26:12push you through because we think that you need the extra
- 26:15help, but we're not going to give you the extra help.
- 26:17But we think that you can make it.
- 26:19So here's the diploma without actually helping you get to that
- 26:23point, right? And so it's doing more harm than
- 26:26it's doing good, way more harm than good.
- 26:28But since she was special needs, she should have been given
- 26:32certain. Help and she was not given that
- 26:35help and she was passed along. She was just pushed on to the
- 26:39next and pushed on to the next thing, and that's where the
- 26:41problem is. Yeah, and she legitimately
- 26:44thought she was learning. They were bringing her to school
- 26:47as normal. She was like, I'm doing it.
- 26:49She doesn't know what level she's supposed to be because
- 26:51they're giving her this amount of information and saying you
- 26:54earned it, but comparatively, she learned nothing and you're
- 26:59sending her out unprepared. So this is the school's fault.
- 27:02And I do not like fault the parents and her family for suing
- 27:07them because the school's job is to prepare the kids to go on,
- 27:11right? That is what the job is, right?
- 27:13So you guys are just pushing her through.
- 27:15It's stupid because you wouldn't give a kid a driver's license
- 27:20and say, hey, go out there and drive because the first thing
- 27:22they'll do is crash, right? Exactly.
- 27:25Exactly how a comparison teach these kids how to do certain
- 27:28things. That is the purpose of school.
- 27:30So what was she doing there? Right.
- 27:33It was like babysitting or something.
- 27:35And that's why I keep going back to it's like, give her the tools
- 27:39she needed or like there is no org give her the tools she
- 27:44needed because what you, you weren't giving her that, but you
- 27:46were still promoting her without she her even knowing that she
- 27:50wasn't getting what she needed exactly until she went out into
- 27:53the quote UN quote real world. And now they're like, Oh no.
- 27:56Sweetie, you don't even know how to do ex-wife basic things.
- 27:59But yeah, this was her in high school.
- 28:01This is her now more grown up. She's at college.
- 28:04She says she's thriving. She said she's doing well.
- 28:06That's great. But like also that point too,
- 28:08because she's thriving, she's doing well because when Facebook
- 28:12with these challenges that you think these certain types of
- 28:14people aren't able to live up to, they do fine and they thrive
- 28:19well when given the right tools. So don't assume, provide the
- 28:24information. Do your best as a school to give
- 28:28that information to give the tools for these kids to move on.
- 28:31So it's not fair and I don't blame them for suing.
- 28:35Oh yeah, I hope they take them. They take the bank, get all of
- 28:38it. You know, but, yeah, good for
- 28:39her for like, thriving and doing what she's got to do.
- 28:42But that $160,000 instead of debt, Yeah, the school owes for
- 28:45that at the very least, you know?
- 28:48Yeah, Thank you. Sorry.
- 28:50I just, you know, she's like, I need it to education is
- 28:53education OK, like. Yeah.
- 28:58All right. So I have the four health
- 29:00benefits of being short. Oh God, oh God.
- 29:09So this is all data from the National Center of Health
- 29:11Statistics. And I had to look up what short
- 29:14means, right? Because, because, like, what
- 29:16does that mean? At what level are you considered
- 29:18short and at what level are you considered tall, right?
- 29:21OK, so short for a man is under 5.
- 29:23Seven. OK.
- 29:25OK. And short for a woman is under
- 29:2753. Really.
- 29:30That's what it said? OK.
- 29:32I feel like that's changed over the last couple of years.
- 29:34You think so? I I think.
- 29:36So yeah, that's crazy. I've never really thought about
- 29:38it, you know, because you'd be like, oh, he's short and she's
- 29:41short, but like, what does that mean?
- 29:42Right. Like what are the.
- 29:43Yeah, what's the parameter? So apparently that's what it is.
- 29:46All right. So the number one health benefit
- 29:48of being short is a lower cancer risk.
- 29:52OK. Yeah.
- 29:53So they say basically for every 10 centimeters, you're lowered
- 29:57risk by 18% in women and 11% in men.
- 30:01Really. Yeah.
- 30:03Based on these statistics and these different things that
- 30:05they've. Why is it right?
- 30:08That's not fair. I know.
- 30:11So we're all tall in this family.
- 30:12So we're like, wait a minute, hold on.
- 30:16So #2 less likely to get a blood clot, so 65% lower risk than a
- 30:23man over 6 two and a 69% lower risk than a woman over 6 feet.
- 30:31Interesting. Yeah, very interesting.
- 30:35Again, Why? Given the short kings and Queens
- 30:38a little boost, yeah, like confidence.
- 30:41So #3 less likely to break a hip.
- 30:43Now. This made me laugh because just
- 30:45because we're tall. Like if we fall?
- 30:47We break a hip. But yes, that's exactly what it
- 30:49said. It said we have a, they have a
- 30:51lower center of gravity, so it's like less.
- 30:53Yeah, that's what I was about to say.
- 30:56That actually makes sense. It does, and the last one is
- 31:00more likely to live. Longer, just like in general.
- 31:03In general and what they did is they had these two test groups
- 31:06and they separated him. He was the short group and here
- 31:08was a lot the tall group and the short group on average lived
- 31:12longer. Why see the tall guy?
- 31:17He said in battle you can see this, the tall guy.
- 31:20No, we were in battle. Hold on, that's insane.
- 31:25Man, so I thought that would be fun to add because there is a
- 31:28lot of judgment on people who are shorter and it's like, there
- 31:32are benefits to everything, so why not?
- 31:35Yeah, we're not just be like, well, I'm gonna live longer.
- 31:39Yeah, that's a nice little like, because God forbid I am shorter
- 31:43or taller, that's like I can't change.
- 31:45That you can't. I mean, you can.
- 31:48People are changing it. Yeah.
- 31:50Isn't that kind of crazy? That's wild.
- 31:52That's a lot of pain. I know.
- 31:54Don't do that please. Thank.
- 31:56You and the last little story we wanted to squeeze in there is
- 31:59that sharks in the Bahamas are full of cocaine, caffeine and
- 32:03prescription drugs. They're getting high in the
- 32:08ocean, OK, And it's our fault, just like everything, right?
- 32:12And so blood samples, they took it from 85 sharks off the shores
- 32:15of the Bahamas and over a third tested positive for one or more
- 32:19of these things, right? It's insane.
- 32:22And it's like we're going to the Bahamas.
- 32:25The biggest reason they said is because we're going to the
- 32:26Bahamas, get in the water and peeing and peeing out all of
- 32:29these things because you put it in your body, but it has to
- 32:32leave somewhere, OK? And so obviously that's what
- 32:35they're. Absorbing that, that's nasty and
- 32:40peeing, that's nasty, right? So there's a.
- 32:42Bathroom, right, and then also sharks are what they call
- 32:48opportunistic feeders. And so if something's there,
- 32:51they're going to eat it. And in the in the trafficking
- 32:54routes, if when you know, Burke of cocaine happens to drop off,
- 32:57the shark is like, I got you. That's insane.
- 33:02But they said they were tests or watching these sharks and with
- 33:05the ones who had contaminated blood, they were having shifts
- 33:08in their behavior. So these things were affecting
- 33:11how they were feeding, like their routes that they take, you
- 33:14know, when they are hunting or whatever it is they do in the
- 33:17water that they were having effects.
- 33:20Wow. Honestly, humans need to stay.
- 33:23Out the ocean. Well I'm going to go in the
- 33:25ocean, but like to hear. You know, they're like, stop
- 33:29doing things that affect the ocean like enough.
- 33:32That with, with the way the runoff, you know, also with the
- 33:36rainwater runoff and all sorts of things.
- 33:37So there's lots of stuff that people, they flush their, their
- 33:40drugs down that like their prescriptions too down the
- 33:42toilet. Those can end up in the ocean.
- 33:44So there's lots of ways that these poor sharks are ingesting.
- 33:48Stuff. We need to stop.
- 33:50It's wrong. It's wrong.
- 33:52I was at CVS the other day. They have a little dispenser.
- 33:54You can put your your old drugs in there.
- 33:56Seriously. Yeah.
- 33:57You don't have to to flesh them. In case y'all didn't know that,
- 33:59Well, I didn't know that, but like come on yeah let's not put
- 34:03it in the ocean. I'm not trying to be all like
- 34:06save the turtles. I got my metal straw.
- 34:08But like I. Do have a metal straw.
- 34:09I do have a metal straw but they they started teaching us to cut
- 34:13the rings of our 6 packs so they didn't get stuck on the turtles
- 34:17and now they have breakaway ones and so I feel like that's in the
- 34:19same realm right? Just.
- 34:22Little things that add up over time that don't damage our
- 34:25environment. You got high sharks out there
- 34:28that because that's insane. That's insane.
- 34:30I know they were like. What is this?
- 34:33But it's feeling good you. Didn't have fun at a time in the
- 34:40water. It's in the water.
- 34:43All right. Getting back to the reddits.
- 34:45I got a Reddit today. I effed up by building an app to
- 34:50track how many times my Co worker says circling back in
- 34:53meetings. Now the whole office uses it.
- 34:57I could use that. So there's this guy at work,
- 35:00let's call him Kay, Kay says, circling back constantly in
- 35:04every meeting, sometimes twice in the same sentence.
- 35:08So just circling back on that before we circle back on the
- 35:10main point. No, stop it.
- 35:14I started noticing it maybe four months ago and now I cannot
- 35:17unhear it. It has ruined meetings for me
- 35:20entirely. So as a joke.
- 35:22Purely from my own own amusement, I vibe coded a mini
- 35:25wobby app in 10 minutes. Every time Kay says circling
- 35:28back, I tap the screen. It tracks daily counts, shows me
- 35:32a weekly graft and gives me a personal best notification.
- 35:36I showed 2 colleagues mistake. They immediately wanted to use
- 35:40it too. I shared the link.
- 35:42Not a big deal, right? Within two days there were nine
- 35:45of us silently tapping our phones every time Kay spoke.
- 35:49We have a group chat now. Someone made a weekly week
- 35:52leaderboard for the highest count.
- 35:54Amazing. Someone else added a feature
- 35:56request for To Be Honest because apparently Kate from Finance
- 35:59says at 11 * a meeting and felt left out recently.
- 36:06Kay said, circling back 23 times at a 56 minute sink.
- 36:10Oh my God, we nearly lost it. Someone had to fake a coughing
- 36:13fit. The problem is I now look
- 36:19forward to meetings. Like genuinely.
- 36:21I checked the group chat during calls.
- 36:23We celebrate new personal best, Kay said, circling back at 9:07
- 36:27AM yesterday. And I got 3 notifications within
- 36:29seconds. Within seconds.
- 36:33I built an app to cope with an annoying habit and accidentally
- 36:37made meetings the best part of work day.
- 36:39Kay will never know. I feel both terrible and
- 36:41completely at peace with this. I love that.
- 36:45I don't understand how you say circling back that much once in
- 36:49a meeting, maybe going around in.
- 36:51Circles. So we're going to circle back.
- 36:53We circle it back, put a pin in it.
- 36:55Oh my God. And Kate from stock financing to
- 37:00be honest, to be honest. But we all have our verbal
- 37:03ticks. I mean, I know I say a lot of
- 37:06things over and over and over again for sure, but not circling
- 37:09back. Circling back is so annoying,
- 37:11but also if. People in the meeting were like
- 37:14that. Every time I said a certain
- 37:16phrase, I would know, no, he's not paying attention.
- 37:18He is circling back. He is not.
- 37:21He's not focused on that at all. That's hilarious.
- 37:26When you were talking about what he did to create the app, I was
- 37:29like, what was that? I am so old because say it again
- 37:35what he created because I was like what is that?
- 37:37What did he do? It sounded like fake words, he
- 37:42said. I vibe.
- 37:43Coded a mini WAPI app in 10 minutes.
- 37:47What? Like what is that?
- 37:50He said it's another language. It is another language that I
- 37:54don't understand I. Vibe coded was basically like
- 37:57off the jump just impulsively. I vibe coded a mini wabi app.
- 38:03Which is the app OK a mini version?
- 38:05Mini wabi app. Of the app.
- 38:08Mini wabi app you're going to give me a new verbal?
- 38:12Tick. Yeah.
- 38:12No, let's wrap it up. Yeah, when you said that, I was
- 38:17like, I don't know what these words are.
- 38:18What is that the purpose was? He did this.
- 38:21Thing he did amazing. Amazing.
- 38:24I love that. Am I the asshole for sneaking my
- 38:27mom some alcohol when she was in Hospice?
- 38:31It depends. My mom is in her 50s and dying
- 38:35from liver cancer. She is terminal and currently
- 38:38undergoing in home Hospice care. My mother has always lived an
- 38:42unhealthy lifestyle. She was an extremely heavy
- 38:45smoker for years and luckily quit between 10 and 15 years
- 38:48ago, and she's very proud of that.
- 38:50But she's been morbidly obese her whole life.
- 38:52She hasn't treated her type 2 diabetes well enough, and for
- 38:55years she was drinking four to six 5% alcohol drinks per day
- 39:00for about four to five days per week.
- 39:02All this compounded and she ended up with liver cancer.
- 39:06By the time it was caught, it was terminal.
- 39:08When she started feeling sick, she stopped drinking.
- 39:11Except for rare occasions. I visit my mom two to three
- 39:14times per week. I talk to her, we watch TV and
- 39:17I'll bring her what she asked for.
- 39:19She recently talked about how she missed her drink of choice
- 39:22she wanted a couple to have. I got a list of her meds and
- 39:26made sure there was no or minimal interactions.
- 39:28And when she had a really good day with no pain meds, I brought
- 39:31her a six pack of her favorite drink.
- 39:33She was very happy and drank 2 and then went to sleep.
- 39:36I told my siblings about this when I was.
- 39:38When I updated them a few days later they got really mad at me
- 39:42because she has liver cancer and her liver isn't right but I
- 39:44still gave her alcohol. This was weeks ago and she still
- 39:48has four cans out of the six pack leftover and she hasn't had
- 39:51them. But even if she did, she's going
- 39:53to die. Let her enjoy her time.
- 39:56They think I was harming her and causing her to die faster by
- 39:59giving her the alcoholic drinks. I think I gave her a evening of
- 40:03enjoyment when she doesn't have many left.
- 40:05I've been catching flak for them from weeks and now it's
- 40:08spreading to other family members.
- 40:09So am I the asshole for giving my mother alcoholic drinks when
- 40:13she is on Hospice for liver cancer?
- 40:14This one was. Hard while I can see both
- 40:17perspectives, I can see the siblings perspective like why
- 40:20are you like furthering her illness?
- 40:23And then I can see her perspective.
- 40:25Let's make the last moments of her life enjoyable.
- 40:29What I know is that a lot of times people were like, you're
- 40:34going to die in a week. You make it past a week, things
- 40:37happen. You never know.
- 40:39And I feel like just being like you're going to die.
- 40:43So let me help it along. Like I know that's not her
- 40:45intention, but like, let's not. I feel like that was doing more
- 40:49harm than good. I mean, I know she wanted that,
- 40:52but like, come on. I feel you.
- 40:55But I have a completely different perspective on that.
- 40:58I'm like. She is there's is not might is
- 41:04going to pass away from the way that she treated her body.
- 41:07Yes, you can argue, you know all of that, but she's here now and
- 41:12if she wants a little drink, I'm like, why not let her have a
- 41:16little bit of happiness or peace or whatever.
- 41:19There was this story that I had saved from years ago I had found
- 41:22somewhere online and this guy was arrested because he went on
- 41:26this spree with his wife who was also on Hospice.
- 41:29They went to strip clubs, they went to the the alcohol, you
- 41:33know, store. They were drinking, they were
- 41:35partying, they were having a great time.
- 41:36And it probably was not good for her, but that's what she wanted
- 41:40towards the end of her life. And he was like, I'll give it to
- 41:42you, baby. You know what I mean?
- 41:44That's fair. That's fair.
- 41:45Like I, I understand that perspective too.
- 41:47I just, maybe the part of me is like, no, let me try to keep you
- 41:51as long as I can, but that's from a selfish perspective.
- 41:55And I can acknowledge that, but I want to be selfish in this
- 41:59because it's like, I don't want to lose you.
- 42:01True, true. But you are and she's already
- 42:03there, but she goes over, she visits her all the time.
- 42:05You know, she's spending this time with her mom, and if her
- 42:08mom really wanted something that I don't know if it's going to
- 42:13hurt her at this point, right? Versus it's more of a mental
- 42:17thing. And it's just like, I just had a
- 42:18little sip and now I'm I feel better.
- 42:20Yeah. It's not like she's drinking,
- 42:21no. She still has some.
- 42:23I was about to say that. Yeah, she still has some.
- 42:25She's enjoying it. She's not like abusing it.
- 42:28So, yeah, I can see your perspective.
- 42:31And I'm like, she may not be, but the part of me that wants to
- 42:34be selfish is like, keep her here.
- 42:36So I get it. Yeah.
- 42:38Yeah, I get that totally. I don't know.
- 42:39That's a tough one. I know.
- 42:41I don't really know if there's a solid answer for that.
- 42:44I don't think it's fair that his siblings are like coming at her
- 42:46like that, especially if the mom asked.
- 42:49It's not like I just was like, and she asked her like she
- 42:52didn't say how often her siblings go and visit or
- 42:54anything like that, but she's there all the time.
- 42:56So I don't know. I don't know.
- 42:58That was a tough one. I don't know.
- 43:03All right, I have a Reddit relationship advice.
- 43:06I think my new friend is perfect for my boyfriend.
- 43:09How do I let this go? Let me read it again.
- 43:15I think my new friend is perfect for my boyfriend.
- 43:19How do I let this go? This is interesting.
- 43:21Yeah, OK. So for the purpose of this post,
- 43:25I-27 female am going to call my boyfriend, 27 male Jake and my
- 43:30new friend 26 female Stephanie. Jake and I have been together
- 43:34for four years. About nine months ago, I met
- 43:36Stephanie through work and we hit it off immediately.
- 43:39But looking back on it now, maybe she reminded me of Jake in
- 43:42some subconscious way. But we became fast friends.
- 43:46One night I invited her over to make a dish for a potluck at
- 43:48work, since we both love to cook and bake.
- 43:51While we were there, Jake came home and I introduced them and
- 43:54he sat with us while we worked. They clicked instantly.
- 43:58They're not similar in terms of interest, but they have the same
- 44:01sense of humor and the same kind of energy.
- 44:04I don't know how to describe it. It was like 2 puzzle pieces
- 44:06slotting together and I like that at first I don't see it how
- 44:10I see it now. The closer I've gotten was
- 44:13Stephanie because I really do like her, the more she's
- 44:16ingratiated herself into her friend group and the more I have
- 44:19noticed how Jake is around her. I've got to say, it's not
- 44:22inappropriate. It's more things you can't
- 44:24control or even notice. He blushes around her
- 44:27constantly. When she says something funny,
- 44:30he does this hoarse laugh that I've never heard him do before.
- 44:34Sometimes he will see something while we're out and say I should
- 44:37tell my friend Stephanie about it.
- 44:39Your friend? I collected my friend in the
- 44:43room. You know the sequels in that one
- 44:46movie? Mine.
- 44:47Mine mine. If someone brings her up, he
- 44:52remembers insane things like about her like her favorite
- 44:55brand of vodka. He talks to her in a tone of
- 44:58voice that's similar to how he talks to his mom, just gentle.
- 45:02He doesn't talk to her one-on-one or even follows her
- 45:05on socials. AS0 worries about him cheating
- 45:08but when I see them together it freaks me out.
- 45:10And how they seem to gravitate towards each other in Group
- 45:12settings. How he goes out of his way to
- 45:15explain things to her in detail. How she asked him questions that
- 45:18always seem to get him to open up in a way that he didn't with
- 45:21me for years. And even now I have to tell them
- 45:24explicitly that I want him to be emotional before he does.
- 45:27They just seem to get each other.
- 45:29The way he acts with her is a way that I didn't even know he
- 45:32could act. For his birthday.
- 45:34I was stumped for a gift and I asked Stephanie for suggestions.
- 45:38She picked the perfect thing. I'd never seen Jake as happy as
- 45:42when he opened it. He said he couldn't believe I
- 45:44thought of it and looked at me like he never felt so understood
- 45:47by me as he did then. But I didn't think of it.
- 45:50She did. Oh no.
- 45:52I feel like I'm going crazy because nothing I can see is
- 45:55concrete. It's not like he's super close
- 45:58with her or she's asking about him.
- 46:00There are boundaries and then there's just me noticing vibes.
- 46:03But it's so real, I just know it.
- 46:06I don't know if he knows it or she does, but knowing both of
- 46:09them, sometimes they just say something and I know it's
- 46:11something the other would want to hear.
- 46:13I need to let this go. I can't bring this up to either
- 46:16of them but it's consuming me. I'm getting short and depressed
- 46:18every time I say something to Jake and he doesn't immediately
- 46:21light up. Every time Stephanie asked me
- 46:23how my weekend was or date night went.
- 46:25And I feel like I don't want to tell her.
- 46:27Like I'm hoarding my relationship.
- 46:29I love Jake and I like Stephanie.
- 46:32I don't want this to affect my relationship with either of them
- 46:34or even their friendliness with each other.
- 46:36How do I just chill out about this without consuming any more
- 46:39of my energy? This is a tough one because I
- 46:45don't know if y'all should be together exactly because you see
- 46:50this already. They're not doing anything
- 46:52wrong. No, they aren't being
- 46:53inappropriate. They aren't, you know, going
- 46:55behind your back. Pray your words.
- 46:57And so for you to just see, like, if my husband vibed with
- 47:02another woman, I would be inconsolable.
- 47:06Yeah. In that way.
- 47:07Yeah. That I would really have to
- 47:09check myself. Like, I would be like, OK, what
- 47:12am I not doing? I mean, the fact that she
- 47:15couldn't even think of the birthday gift and she got it
- 47:18like that. I.
- 47:19Don't know, girl girl. I know, I know because that's
- 47:25interesting. It's like maybe you guys are
- 47:30soul mates but platonic soul mates, but then he happened to
- 47:33find his romantic soul mate and it's OK.
- 47:38And there are multiple forms of soul mates.
- 47:40But if you're seeing that they're vibing like that, I feel
- 47:43like it's worse to try to force a situation or like, again, the
- 47:48selfishness. You can't be selfish in that
- 47:51moment. You kind of got to like talk to
- 47:53them and be like, how are you feeling?
- 47:55How is she feeling? I know what I'm feeling.
- 47:58I know what I'm reading off of you guys.
- 48:00That would just be a conversation you have to have.
- 48:02Like you guys found each other. You guys have been together for
- 48:05four years. No one can take that shared
- 48:07experience that you guys have already had.
- 48:09But trying to force something that's just not continuing like
- 48:14that, yes. Or being like, I'm going to keep
- 48:17him so that doesn't happen. Yes, that part that can't
- 48:20happen, you know what I mean? Or.
- 48:22Ending your friendship for her, from her.
- 48:24So she's no longer around. Right.
- 48:26So now you're taking this away from your boyfriend.
- 48:30Exactly. And Stephanie and Stephanie,
- 48:32Yeah. I just don't know.
- 48:33I've never come across something like this before where the vibe
- 48:37like they are really just connected in that way.
- 48:40And you seem like you're in the way and that.
- 48:42Sucks oh God that would hurt. Hurt my feelings but at this
- 48:48point it hurts more to stay in this relationship knowing that
- 48:51it's not clicking then to be like let's all do what we got to
- 48:55do. And just like you said,
- 48:56conversation, a lot of these things we read would be fixed if
- 48:59people just had conversations. And this one, I think she's
- 49:04afraid to have the conversation because she doesn't want to hear
- 49:07what might come out of somebody's mouth.
- 49:09But I think in this situation, you have to because you're just
- 49:12stressed out. Like she's getting depressed and
- 49:14feeling all these ways when you just got to bite the bullet, as
- 49:18they say, circle back. No is K gonna be a reference
- 49:24again? Yes K short for Kevin or not?
- 49:26Oh no, Kevin. But yeah, that that's a tough
- 49:30one, but I really do think like you just have to go for it.
- 49:32You have to look at it and just say maybe this is what I'm
- 49:35saying. Am I crazy right.
- 49:38You know, and I wouldn't I won't be mad at you, but and it's this
- 49:41is what I need to bring so respectful too.
- 49:43It doesn't seem like they have each other's phone numbers, if
- 49:46they're even added on each other on social media.
- 49:49They don't hang out when it's not with the the OP.
- 49:53It's insane, and to know that that that much and know somebody
- 49:58that well after those little bit of interactions, that's tough.
- 50:02I don't know, girl. You in danger, girl?
- 50:06I'm just saying a conversation needs to be had.
- 50:08No one's saying I need to break up with him.
- 50:11Y'all just date each other. Just a conversation.
- 50:13Just talk. But yeah Lord.
- 50:17Oh no. Don't have nobody come and
- 50:19looking at my man like that. Am I the asshole for getting
- 50:30upset at my girlfriend for mocking me when I cried?
- 50:34Yes. So hello.
- 50:38He said hello, he's very sweet. I'm 23, male, my girlfriend is
- 50:4224, female. We've been living together since
- 50:45the new year of 2026 but in a relationship for a year and a
- 50:48half. I'm an emotionally sensitive
- 50:50person since childhood but I was taught not to cry or at least do
- 50:54it alone thanks to the boys don't cry type of upbringing I
- 50:58had. My girlfriend never saw me
- 51:00crying until yesterday. I never watched Breaking Bad and
- 51:04Better Call Saul. Now let's side note.
- 51:06OK yes I love me some Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
- 51:10OK and Saul finished and I finished the last episode
- 51:14yesterday as the ending of Better Call Saul was emotionally
- 51:17heavy. I couldn't control myself and
- 51:19cry. OK, it's valid.
- 51:21It's a very good ending. I was really invested in the
- 51:24show. My girlfriend had already
- 51:25watched them though. But instead of comforting me or
- 51:28at least leaving me alone, she started making fun of me for
- 51:31crying over media. It wasn't some playful banter.
- 51:35She didn't stop until I was totally pissed and had to stop
- 51:37crying to make her go. She made me feel like I'm weak
- 51:40and stupid. I immediately told her how bad I
- 51:43felt but she wasn't concerned at all and carried on with her
- 51:46routine. Girl, I'm extremely upset and
- 51:51disappointed in her. This is the first time she saw
- 51:53me crying and that was her reaction.
- 51:56Around an hour later before bed, I told her that if she doesn't
- 51:59truly feel sorry for what she did yesterday, then don't blame
- 52:02me in the future if I become emotionally distant from her and
- 52:05start hiding things whenever I get vulnerable.
- 52:08She reacted strongly and we had a fight.
- 52:10Am I the asshole? Absolutely not.
- 52:13I yes, I'm glad he said that at the end too because that was
- 52:16about to be my point. OK where it's it's the fathers
- 52:20telling their sons not to feel these things because they were
- 52:23not validated with their feelings.
- 52:25And then their parents telling them because they weren't
- 52:28validated in their feelings and they didn't feel like it was a
- 52:30safe place. And women not making men feel
- 52:32comfortable enough to show these feelings and when they do making
- 52:35them feel bad. It's like how can he be mad at
- 52:38men? They're not crying when every
- 52:40time they do cry it's like ridiculed made into a meme.
- 52:44It's like laughed at. It's like that's.
- 52:46Not fair. It's not fair.
- 52:48And I wrote this down because I was like, don't forget to say
- 52:51this, but the patriarchy damages everybody.
- 52:54People think only women are damaged by the patriarchy, but
- 52:56this shows that this damages everybody, right?
- 52:58Because the only acceptable emotion for men is anger.
- 53:04And that's not fair because they're human beings and they
- 53:08have all the emotions, and so they should be able to express
- 53:12them in the way that feels natural to them.
- 53:14Yeah. And if we ridicule them and make
- 53:16them feel horrible for doing that, then we get the.
- 53:20Complete opposite thing that we want and we can't even be mad
- 53:24that we got exactly what was the result of what we did.
- 53:28That's not fair. It's not fair and it's.
- 53:32It's it's like a double edged sword where you are sitting
- 53:35there and you're like be a man, blah, blah, blah.
- 53:37But then like he said, if I come back and I'm super closed off
- 53:40from you, she's going to tell everybody.
- 53:43He's so closed off. He never talks to me.
- 53:45He never says anything. It's like, well, when he opened
- 53:47up to you, you laughed in his face.
- 53:49So what did you expect him to do?
- 53:52Because if the you know, if the roles were reversed, what would
- 53:56it be different? She would expect it to be he and
- 53:59but then also he would have to comfort her if she's crying
- 54:02because that's also a part of his job that is expected for men
- 54:05to do. Yes, but it's not our job to
- 54:07comfort them when they are feeling emotional.
- 54:11That doesn't make any sense to me.
- 54:12I don't think you are. I think your girl is a jerk.
- 54:15Yes, I'll say that with my chest.
- 54:17She is a jerk. And also it is OK to cry over
- 54:20media. I cry over media all the time.
- 54:22What do you say about a? Commercial the other day I was
- 54:25like this is great. That's so stupid.
- 54:29It's ridicule him. It's like is that your
- 54:31insecurity girl, because now I'm a come for you.
- 54:34That's gross. It is.
- 54:36It's just really disgusting and to have that, you know, I can
- 54:40cry, but you can't. That's not fair and it's your
- 54:42job to comfort me and and be there for me, but I'm not going
- 54:45to do the same for you. Actually, no emotional bullies.
- 54:51That's not fair and I don't think you are.
- 54:53You deserve better than that, you really do.
- 54:57Yep. And I'm I'm not frightful enough
- 55:00to be like we are not. No, your girl gets a red flag.
- 55:04Yes, she does. It is what it is.
- 55:08It goes both ways. You deserve better, babe.
- 55:11Here you go. All right, I have a semi long
- 55:15one, but this is my last one. So you ready?
- 55:17I'm ready, Slightly raged babe. So you ready?
- 55:19All right, Reddit relationship advice My husband faked feigning
- 55:24after I gave birth. My my husband, 23 male and I-23
- 55:31female, have been together for five years.
- 55:34I want to start by saying that despite his quirks, my husband
- 55:37is genuinely sweet and hard working.
- 55:39I truly believe he loves me deeply, tries his best, and has
- 55:42always dreamed of being a husband and father.
- 55:45That's why this whole situation has left me confused and
- 55:47conflicted. We got pregnant a bit sooner
- 55:50than expected, though it wasn't entirely unplanned.
- 55:53In the first trimester, I was lucky to avoid nausea, but the
- 55:56fatigue hit me hard, especially during my final university
- 56:01exams. I had to take a nap for one to
- 56:03two hours every afternoon just to function.
- 56:06At the time, we didn't know that this was the exhaustion that was
- 56:09normal during pregnancy symptoms, and I was focused on
- 56:12school that I didn't think much of it.
- 56:15Meanwhile, my husband quietly started resenting me.
- 56:18He thought I was being lazy because I wasn't keeping up with
- 56:20the housework, which, except for dishes, was mostly my
- 56:23responsibility. Thankfully, a friend asked that
- 56:27I've been hit by the tiredness and explained that it's
- 56:29important that I rest. He seemed to understand, but I
- 56:32guess it bugs me that by being faced with his wife being
- 56:35utterly exhausted, his first reaction was to think of me as
- 56:38lazy and be annoyed rather than concerned.
- 56:42Throughout the rest of my pregnancy, his attitude often
- 56:45fell off. He would get annoyed by what I
- 56:47thought were small requests like bringing me water before bed,
- 56:51and complained about the size of my pregnancy pillow.
- 56:54What? While he always apologized later
- 56:58on if I let myself get sad about it, I felt like there was
- 57:01something he wasn't saying. Friends told me to enjoy the
- 57:04pregnancy pampering, but I didn't experience any of that.
- 57:07He treated me the same as before and seemed irritated when I
- 57:10couldn't keep up. Despite everything, I had a
- 57:13fairly easy pregnancy physically and emotionally.
- 57:17During this time, he started getting really into those men's
- 57:20experiences during pregnancy podcasts.
- 57:23And would. And would vent about how no one
- 57:26considers what fathers go through, which I sympathize
- 57:28with. Let's note that for later.
- 57:32Then came the birth. After a long and sleepless
- 57:35labor, I needed an emergency C-section.
- 57:38I gave birth around big night, and since partners couldn't stay
- 57:41overnight, he went home. I stayed awake with our newborn
- 57:44for a fourth night in a row. When he returned the next
- 57:47morning, he told me he had fainted on the way home, showing
- 57:50me how dirty his jacket was after following.
- 57:53I was concerned, but I was so depleted I could barely process
- 57:56it. During our hospital say, he
- 57:59brought food and held the baby while I slept, but his attitude
- 58:02still felt annoyed. I chalked it up to stress.
- 58:05Then came the newborn phase. Our son was colicky.
- 58:09Was that? Yeah, colicky.
- 58:11I was exhausted and we argued constantly.
- 58:14I couldn't be my usual sweet self, and I desperately needed
- 58:17emotional support. He, on the other hand, seemed to
- 58:20want sympathy too. At one point it had been five
- 58:23days since the baby had a bath and he asked why I was annoyed.
- 58:27I didn't turn my filter on and said and I said why don't you
- 58:30give him a bath? Then he responded with that he
- 58:33didn't know how I was upset and I told him to Google it.
- 58:39He said he felt overwhelmed working 3 to 4 hours a day and
- 58:42microwaving meals twice. Daily, 3 to 4 hours a day.
- 58:50Thank you. I'm so tired of this man.
- 58:55And microwaving deals meals twice daily so researching baby
- 58:59baths was apparently too much. I ended up taking our baby to
- 59:02all of his appointments alone because my husband looks so
- 59:05irritated and tired. When nurses started asking
- 59:08questions I could say a lot more.
- 59:10But here's my main concern. Recently we visited the topic of
- 59:14pregnancy in my son's birth. I told him that I felt
- 59:17unsupported during that time. That's why he confessed that he
- 59:20lied about feigning after the birth so that I would feel bad
- 59:23for him. He apparently only slipped on
- 59:26the ice. He felt ignored and unimportant
- 59:30during the pregnancy. Every time he talked to the
- 59:32friends, they told him to focus on supporting me and that he
- 59:36started to feel invisible. While I understood the desire to
- 59:41feel seen, to lie about something like this when I truly
- 59:44needed support feels deeply hurtful.
- 59:48I explained that being a supportive partner is not
- 59:50meaningless, it's actually a vital, important role.
- 59:54He was remorseful but I don't know if this is expecting too
- 59:57much from him. I don't think so, no.
- 1:00:01Things are better between us today, but honestly I don't
- 1:00:04think if I want him with me the next time I give birth.
- 1:00:07I feel like it would be easier to mentally prepare for doing it
- 1:00:10alone than to split my emotional focus between giving birth, the
- 1:00:14baby, and managing his feelings again.
- 1:00:17How do we move forward from this?
- 1:00:19So I have a very serious question.
- 1:00:22This may seem rage like I'm raging, but I'm very serious.
- 1:00:25Why would you consider giving birth to another child from a
- 1:00:30partner who has already proven himself to be unsupportive?
- 1:00:33That's the. Question, isn't it?
- 1:00:34Yeah, because what makes you think he's going to change?
- 1:00:38Thank you. He couldn't even recognize the
- 1:00:40fact that you were exhausted. Like, pregnancy exhaustion is
- 1:00:44like no other exhaustion you've ever felt in your life.
- 1:00:47And then now you have another baby at home that needs you.
- 1:00:50So you can't just nap for an hour or two in the middle of the
- 1:00:53day unless you have support and help.
- 1:00:56And so and then we're going to go back to what the title was.
- 1:01:00He faked fainting because he's like, this is the only way I can
- 1:01:03get attention. I was about to cuss you.
- 1:01:07She, your wife, is giving birth right now.
- 1:01:12And you're like. Me, me, me, me, me.
- 1:01:13Where's my attention? I I don't know why, the first
- 1:01:18thought in his mind when she was passing out from exhaustion, was
- 1:01:20she being lazy, Right? I don't what.
- 1:01:23Meanwhile, get up and go do the the chores and everything.
- 1:01:26Yeah, you have chores to do, get your pregnant self out, but you
- 1:01:30work 3 to 4 hours a day. You microwave.
- 1:01:34I want to say microwave. He didn't cook.
- 1:01:35He didn't. He microwaved 2 meals a day.
- 1:01:39And this was way too much for you to do.
- 1:01:41I can't Google how to go wash a baby.
- 1:01:44What are you talking about? That's a lot of work.
- 1:01:46Am I going to get paid for this? Yeah, like I don't what?
- 1:01:50EW. I got the the entire time
- 1:01:53reading that because are you kidding me?
- 1:01:55No, he's not kidding. And here's the thing.
- 1:01:57So we've all seen these videos of boys and men being put the
- 1:02:01the the stimulator like you're. For having period cramps, I feel
- 1:02:05like stuff like that should be required at a young age because
- 1:02:10men have no idea what it feels like to be a woman and how and
- 1:02:13go through these problems and then also have a baby.
- 1:02:17And so, you know, we have sex education and all that stuff,
- 1:02:20but it's very it's lacking in my opinion.
- 1:02:22But to have no empathy for the person who's carrying your
- 1:02:26child. This is your child and she it
- 1:02:29has given of her body to this baby to make sure that it's
- 1:02:35healthy. Thank you.
- 1:02:36But you're making microwave meals and get this baby out of
- 1:02:41my body and then after that I have to nurse this baby, keep
- 1:02:44the baby alive, and you're acting like you can't give the
- 1:02:47baby a bath exactly like. Figure it out.
- 1:02:51It's insane. He refuses, he's refusing, and
- 1:02:54he's not even seeing it from her perspective at all.
- 1:02:57Because the first part is the physical stuff.
- 1:03:01Even if she wanted to continue doing all this stuff, she
- 1:03:04cannot, can't do it. And then afterwards is all the
- 1:03:07emotional changes, the physical changes after the surgery,
- 1:03:11because yes, it is surgery and he's still trying to being like
- 1:03:16me, me, me, me, me. I can't.
- 1:03:18I can't even any other surgery. You would not be required to do
- 1:03:22anything afterwards. You have recovery time, but you
- 1:03:24have to keep a baby alive alive. You're nursing a baby, you're
- 1:03:27caring for a baby. You have you have to have that
- 1:03:29closeness. Why is it so hard to assume that
- 1:03:34the other partner would take care of all the other things to
- 1:03:37make it so mom can recover and also have that time with baby,
- 1:03:41right? I I like we are doing this
- 1:03:43together, yes, apparently not, but this type of relationship
- 1:03:48not to, you know, go completely off topic, but this feels like
- 1:03:51it ties to the guy who went to the woods.
- 1:03:54Like if you don't nip this type of behavior in the butt now it
- 1:03:58becomes a partner who literally does nothing around the house to
- 1:04:01help and you have two kids and you are doing all the things
- 1:04:04right. So I would just personally
- 1:04:06reconsider what what the future is, right?
- 1:04:10You know, depending on whether you want to be the person who
- 1:04:12takes care of literally everything, literally
- 1:04:14everything. You guys are so so young still
- 1:04:16like 2324. I mean, I don't know y'all.
- 1:04:21It's a long life. It's a long life, so slow down
- 1:04:25and just also God you. Your actions speak a lot louder
- 1:04:30than your words. And again, like you said, he's
- 1:04:33telling you exactly what he's about right now.
- 1:04:37I feel like you should take that and maybe to start evaluating
- 1:04:41for the future. Yes I know.
- 1:04:44Well then good luck girl. Oh, not the good luck.
- 1:04:47Yeah, am I the asshole for cussing out my son's teacher?
- 1:04:54I. Mean.
- 1:04:57I don't think so. So I 38 male have a son 10.
- 1:05:02My son has always hated his teacher Miss Lopez.
- 1:05:05According to my son. She is always yelling at
- 1:05:08everyone, she humiliates people and she's really strict for no
- 1:05:11reason. My son is a good kid so she
- 1:05:14usually leaves him alone, but if she ever did something I would
- 1:05:17jump into action. What happened recently was my
- 1:05:20son really had to use the restroom in her class Miss Lopez
- 1:05:23has a rule where you can only go to the bathroom once a day.
- 1:05:26In her class, you'll have to wait till lunch or recess to go.
- 1:05:31My son had already gone so she wouldn't let him go again.
- 1:05:35I told my son beforehand that if she ever tries to enforce this
- 1:05:39dumb rule on him, just go anyway and me and his mother will take
- 1:05:42care of it if he gets in trouble, period.
- 1:05:44So he went anyway. This.
- 1:05:46My son told me that by the time he got back, the teacher was
- 1:05:49making fun of him in front of the entire class saying how he
- 1:05:53was about to have a pee pee accident.
- 1:05:55She started yelling at him and telling him that she was going
- 1:05:58to call his parents later. I was appalled to hear this all
- 1:06:01from my son as soon as he got home.
- 1:06:04He's not a liar. By the time Miss Lopez called, I
- 1:06:07picked up the phone and I let her have it.
- 1:06:09Period. How dare she humiliate a 10 year
- 1:06:11old boy in front of the entire class and try to bully him.
- 1:06:14She should be ashamed. She hung up in my face.
- 1:06:17About 40 seconds into the rant. My wife told me I shouldn't have
- 1:06:21cussed her out. She agreed to take the steps to
- 1:06:23get him moved out of Miss Lopez class, but me cussing her out
- 1:06:27was uncalled for according to her.
- 1:06:29Am I the asshole? No, you're not.
- 1:06:33What do you mean? Why can't I cuss her out?
- 1:06:36She was basically cussing him out.
- 1:06:38Thank you. I'm saying why can't I?
- 1:06:41I don't see any issues here. Why I also take my side take
- 1:06:46your sun side yes. What do you mean?
- 1:06:49Because he was calling you with a pee pee.
- 1:06:51He's going to have a pee pee accident and cussing him and
- 1:06:54also with a dumb ass rule. Thank you on addition in
- 1:06:56addition because I don't think you can do that technically
- 1:06:59right? I don't know, I feel like
- 1:07:00there's a rule or a block you have to.
- 1:07:02Go to the bathroom. You have to.
- 1:07:03Allow those children to go to the restroom also.
- 1:07:06Mind you, he's 10. He's 10.
- 1:07:07Come on, that is a stupid rule and then you decided to be more
- 1:07:12childish than the 10 year old and make fun of him for
- 1:07:15something that he couldn't control.
- 1:07:17Like he has to use the restroom. He wants to peek on himself.
- 1:07:20I don't. Are you kidding me?
- 1:07:21Like that would have been any more embarrassing than me peeing
- 1:07:24on myself and please and then bring it to the house.
- 1:07:28I would have hung up on me. I would have drove to school.
- 1:07:32I would have drove to the school because I was not finished.
- 1:07:35I wasn't stopped. More to say I wasn't done like I
- 1:07:42was saying that part. Are you kidding me?
- 1:07:48Yes, in. Addition, I expect my wife to be
- 1:07:50right there supporting me because this is about our son.
- 1:07:54Yes, He doesn't get to be bullied at school By the
- 1:07:57teacher. By the teacher?
- 1:07:59Yeah, absolutely not. I'm not standing for that.
- 1:08:02So no, I think everyone around him is wrong.
- 1:08:06Everyone except for Dad. Thank you.
- 1:08:09Dad did the right thing. I rock with Dad.
- 1:08:11He was sitting there waiting for that phone call.
- 1:08:12He was like on an answer. I got this.
- 1:08:15Let's go. I'm for the smoke when it comes
- 1:08:17to my. Child and like I go back, why
- 1:08:19can't I cuss her out? Because she was talking crazy to
- 1:08:22my kid in front of everybody. It's not like she pulled him
- 1:08:25aside and was like, I have a rule.
- 1:08:28When I have a rule, you follow it.
- 1:08:30She felt some type of way because a kid embarrassed her in
- 1:08:32front of the other kids. He just walked out because he
- 1:08:36had to go to the bathroom. I have a rule.
- 1:08:38Are you not the adult in this situation?
- 1:08:40No. And who knows how long she was
- 1:08:42on there talking shit in front of the kids.
- 1:08:43Oh my God. Because by the time he got back,
- 1:08:45she was already in the middle of her thing.
- 1:08:47Yeah, Absolutely not. Absolutely not.
- 1:08:49I expect when I send my child to school that is in a safe
- 1:08:53environment with the kids around them and the teachers that are
- 1:08:55responsible for my kids and the responsible for all the kids.
- 1:08:58Kids in the class, Right. Grow up.
- 1:09:01Literally. Who cares if this kid went over
- 1:09:03there? If you had a problem with them,
- 1:09:04we could have discussed that with the parents present.
- 1:09:07But you decided to pick on my child?
- 1:09:10No. In front of all the other kids,
- 1:09:12No. We have smoke, fire her, all of
- 1:09:14it. Fire her.
- 1:09:15But after I go there. Yeah, after I've already.
- 1:09:17Said what I needed to say, thank you.
- 1:09:19Drove to the school apparently, and finished what I was driving
- 1:09:22to that school. That's the first thing.
- 1:09:23I thought I was like, I'm not done.
- 1:09:24That is insane. Wow, yeah, not no, my blood
- 1:09:28pressure is right. It's.
- 1:09:29Like. Oh yeah, there's just some
- 1:09:31things that you just expect your school to be fine, fine with,
- 1:09:35and you send your kid, you're like, OK, they're going to be
- 1:09:38fine. It's hard enough sending your
- 1:09:41kid to a place, having these other adults and trusting them
- 1:09:46to take care of your child. Yes, I don't need the added
- 1:09:49bullying and all that stuff. I didn't.
- 1:09:50No, no, no, no, no. You will be taken from the
- 1:09:53classroom after I say what I have to say and then go talk to
- 1:09:56the principal. Absolutely.
- 1:09:57Because what you're not going to do is do that, period.
- 1:09:59And that's clearly not the first time she's done it if she felt
- 1:10:02that comfortable. Thank you.
- 1:10:03Thank you. And let's talk to the other kids
- 1:10:05too. What kind of experiences have
- 1:10:06you had with Miss Lopez? Yes, bye.
- 1:10:12Bye. All right.
- 1:10:13Trinity was hot. I was.
- 1:10:15Yeah, I was. Right.
- 1:10:20That's it. Yeah, we got.
- 1:10:22We made it. Next episode is episode 30.
