A summer cookout at Keach Park brought young folks from Concord together to talk about mental health in a space of food, music, and basketball — sparked by the tragic loss of 19-year-old Mohamed Mohamed. His friend Augustine Twite, who felt he could’ve done more to help, created the event to build support for young African Americans facing mental health struggles, especially when family conversations are hard.
