- 1:18Speaker 2: To get the most out of your spiritual journey, use
- 1:20Speaker 2: Pray.com every day and make prayer possible. a priority in
- 1:23Speaker 2: your life. Again, our goal for today's meditative prayer is
- 1:26Speaker 2: all about enjoying life. And so maybe in this time
- 1:29Speaker 2: of sorrow, let's just take a second to breathe. Maybe
- 1:34Speaker 2: look for a comfortable and serene place, a place where
- 1:39Speaker 2: your focus today can be on this moment with God.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Close your eyes and take a deep breath. And as
- 1:49Speaker 2: you exhale, envision the pressure releasing around your heart And
- 1:54Speaker 2: meet the Holy Spirit and rest in his presence right now.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Today we'll be meditating on Psalm 37 verse 4 from
- 2:02Speaker 2: the King James Version. It reads, Now take a moment
- 2:05Speaker 2: just to pour out your adoration to God. God, I
- 2:08Speaker 2: praise you for you are my portion on this earth.
- 2:11Speaker 2: You satisfy my soul. and satiate my spirit. There is
- 2:25Speaker 2: nothing I will ever need that you cannot provide. I
- 2:30Speaker 2: worship you, Jesus, for you died that I may have
- 2:33Speaker 2: life abundantly. You don't give of yourself sparingly, but instead
- 2:39Speaker 2: you provide more than enough for me. I exalt you,
- 2:42Speaker 2: for you are good, Father, and you hold my life
- 2:45Speaker 2: in the palm of your hand. The word we'll be
- 2:48Speaker 2: focusing on today is priorities. Sometimes we put the gifts
- 2:54Speaker 2: above the giver. We forget to appreciate God for who
- 2:58Speaker 2: he is and instead focus on what he does. However,
- 3:01Speaker 2: if you want to enjoy this life, you must give
- 3:04Speaker 2: God first place in your heart. You see, God is
- 3:08Speaker 2: the source of all blessings. But seek him for his
- 3:11Speaker 2: own sake because you love him, not because he can
- 3:14Speaker 2: give you things. Give God your priority. Give God preeminence
- 3:20Speaker 2: in all things. Seek him and obey him with joy.
- 3:25Speaker 2: And as you do this, God will transform your life
- 3:28Speaker 2: and he will give you what your heart longs for.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Don't fret or worry about getting what you want. Rather,
- 3:35Speaker 2: focus on aligning yourself to God. Trust in him to
- 3:39Speaker 2: provide all you need and to give you that which
- 3:41Speaker 2: your heart desires. You see, God knows what you are
- 3:45Speaker 2: thinking before a word is even in your mouth. You
- 3:48Speaker 2: don't even need to verbalize your wishes. He already knows them.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Yet God delights in hearing you call to him and
- 3:56Speaker 2: in meeting you exactly where you are. So my friends,
- 3:59Speaker 2: right now, come before God and maybe confess your sins
- 4:03Speaker 2: to him in this moment. And rejoice in the knowledge
- 4:08Speaker 2: that he hears you. Now take a moment just to
- 4:14Speaker 2: thank God for his gifts in your life. Think of
- 4:17Speaker 2: past seasons of growth. Moments of victory, joy, new beginnings.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Thank God for delighting in you and for partaking in
- 4:26Speaker 2: your pleasure. Recollect the times of happiness that you've experienced.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Thank God for the ability to be content. Thank him
- 4:36Speaker 2: for every blessing, great and small, past, present, and future.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Do not forget, God is present and he is listening
- 4:45Speaker 2: to you. God is your portions. And he has great
- 4:49Speaker 2: joy in store for you. Jesus promised to be with
- 4:53Speaker 2: you every step of the way. So pray to him.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Ask him to help you to see his beauty around you.
- 5:01Speaker 2: In his creation, in his provision, and in his restoration.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with expectation. And
- 5:10Speaker 2: ask him to fill you with hope and endurance. Remember,
- 5:14Speaker 2: rejoice in serving God every day. He will give you
- 5:19Speaker 2: what brings you pleasure. And just know that God wants
- 5:22Speaker 2: to see you happy. He wants you to enjoy the
- 5:25Speaker 2: hope in the future he has planned. So choose this
- 5:28Speaker 2: day to seek God and know that he has wonderful
- 5:31Speaker 2: things in store for you. My friends, thank you for
