- 0:03Speaker 1: Well, let's do this second hour of the morning show
- 0:07Speaker 1: with Preston Scott Show, five thousand, two hundred and seventy nine.
- 0:12Speaker 1: And I'm pleased to be joined by.
- 0:19Speaker 2: The gun Rider ladies and gentlemen.
- 0:23Speaker 1: It's an honor to introduce to you a fellow Second
- 0:26Speaker 1: Amendment patriot.
- 0:28Speaker 2: He is Lee Williams. How you doing, brother?
- 0:34Speaker 3: I couldn't be any better man.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Thank How's that for an intro? Right?
- 0:38Speaker 1: That's walk up music, buddy, that is walk up music
- 0:41Speaker 1: instead of a baseball bat.
- 0:43Speaker 2: You've got your firearm?
- 0:45Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, absolutely for a few firearms.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Yeah. I like that.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Couple over the back, couple on the side, one at
- 0:54Speaker 1: the ankle. All Right, You've written a lot in as
- 0:59Speaker 1: you always do, but I want to go back a
- 1:01Speaker 1: little bit. Let's get your thoughts on the election of
- 1:06Speaker 1: Donald Trump, returning him back to the Oval office from
- 1:11Speaker 1: your perspective and the things that you.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Care most about.
- 1:16Speaker 1: What surprised you the most about the result of that election.
- 1:21Speaker 3: I knew Trump was going to win without a doubt.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I didn't know he was going to win by this
- 1:27Speaker 3: many votes. Okay, I mean he destroyed her, Harris, he
- 1:33Speaker 3: destroyed her. I had no idea Trump was going to win,
- 1:36Speaker 3: so handedly I thought it was going to be another
- 1:39Speaker 3: close you know, maybe we wait a couple of days
- 1:42Speaker 3: to get all the numbers. In No, I mean it
- 1:45Speaker 3: was over. It was over that night. Man. I'd never
- 1:50Speaker 3: seen anything like it. That is my biggest takeaway is
- 1:53Speaker 3: that the entire country has like sick of her crap
- 1:57Speaker 3: and the crap that her people are pulling. And I'm
- 2:00Speaker 3: using crap because I'm on the radio. But let me
- 2:04Speaker 3: tell you, it was amazing, amazing to see this happen,
- 2:09Speaker 3: to watch it, to be able to watch it live
- 2:12Speaker 3: without having to wait for a week, and like everybody
- 2:15Speaker 3: was saying, this was one of the best elections ever Preston.
- 2:21Speaker 1: It was clearly to borrow from the expression that became
- 2:24Speaker 1: real trendy in the final few months. It was too
- 2:28Speaker 1: big to rig, which is why I believe the results
- 2:30Speaker 1: came so quickly.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Lee.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Yeah, once it was established and you just kind of
- 2:35Speaker 1: sat down and went, Okay, here we go. Now you
- 2:41Speaker 1: outlined what you thought needed to happen. In the first
- 2:44Speaker 1: thirty days of his presidency beginning January twentieth, look, Joe
- 2:49Speaker 1: Biden famously ruined the energy policy of this country as
- 2:53Speaker 1: well as the border in his first day in office.
- 2:56Speaker 1: What does Donald Trump need to do in your estimation?
- 3:01Speaker 3: Number one is he has to secure our Second Amendment rights.
- 3:04Speaker 3: That's me, that's my take, and I think he can
- 3:08Speaker 3: do it. I think he wants to do it. I'm
- 3:12Speaker 3: sick of the Biden mentality in every federal agency in
- 3:18Speaker 3: most of these big blue states, where like New York
- 3:22Speaker 3: is saying, oh, we're going to do this, We're going
- 3:23Speaker 3: to do that. You look at you. You read these things,
- 3:26Speaker 3: like I've read some of these proposals. They're violently unconstitutional,
- 3:32Speaker 3: violently unconstitutional, and we just see them. You know, oh, well,
- 3:37Speaker 3: we're going to start doing this. We're going to start
- 3:39Speaker 3: doing that. You read them, You read them, and they're
- 3:42Speaker 3: exactly what you cannot do based upon the Second Amendment.
- 3:47Speaker 3: I've never seen anything like it. They just keep getting
- 3:49Speaker 3: away with it because the media or now anyway supports them.
- 3:55Speaker 1: When you say Trump needs to secure our Second Amendment rights,
- 4:00Speaker 1: obviously you're speaking nationwide. What can he do?
- 4:07Speaker 3: The number one thing that he should do, The number
- 4:10Speaker 3: one thing he should do is make sure that everybody
- 4:13Speaker 3: in the country has the same rights to carry and
- 4:17Speaker 3: to buy. Okay, that's what has to happen. Look at
- 4:20Speaker 3: what they're selling in California. Go buy an AR in California.
- 4:23Speaker 3: In New York, they're not like the guns that you
- 4:27Speaker 3: and I have access to here in Florida. They're designed
- 4:30Speaker 3: to be difficult to shoot. They have this built in
- 4:32Speaker 3: crap in the magazine, so you can't put a magazine in.
- 4:36Speaker 3: You got to load them rounds one at a time.
- 4:39Speaker 3: It's unfortunate, but that's the way it is. This is
- 4:42Speaker 3: becoming two countries. This has become two countries. And in
- 4:46Speaker 3: terms of second to memorize and carry. Look what you need.
- 4:50Speaker 3: You need to be a multi millionaire in certain parts
- 4:53Speaker 3: of California or a Hollywood star, same in New York.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Go to New York, move in and try and get
- 4:59Speaker 3: a permit to carry. You're going to make ten, twelve,
- 5:02Speaker 3: fifteen trips to the local gendarmerie to get you to
- 5:07Speaker 3: get your license if you can get one. Look, we
- 5:11Speaker 3: got to start base, make sure everybody can carry, and
- 5:13Speaker 3: make sure that guns are the same everywhere. And I
- 5:17Speaker 3: don't mean the California New York style ars. That crap
- 5:20Speaker 3: has to end. These guys are nuts. They've had it
- 5:23Speaker 3: their way for too long. You've even got major arms
- 5:27Speaker 3: companies manufacturing California variants which are disgusting. I mean, they
- 5:34Speaker 3: have things coming out of the grip so you can't
- 5:36Speaker 3: grip the thing. They're just a joke. Those things need
- 5:40Speaker 3: to end. We need to have one carry loaf throughout
- 5:42Speaker 3: the entire country.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I want to take advantage. You mentioned New York as
- 5:46Speaker 1: one of the two states that are just obscene. There
- 5:49Speaker 1: are others, but those are the two beacons on the hill,
- 5:53Speaker 1: if you will.
- 5:54Speaker 2: New York.
- 5:55Speaker 1: You wrote a new piece about what they're proposing in
- 5:59Speaker 1: New York, and it's horrifying.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it is. It's insane. It is literally insane. They
- 6:08Speaker 3: want officers to It would mandate officers to confiscate all
- 6:13Speaker 3: firearms left out during a domestic violence call. So I've
- 6:17Speaker 3: been to I don't know, a couple thousand domestics. Sometimes
- 6:21Speaker 3: they're called in by neighbor. You know, you ever yelled
- 6:23Speaker 3: with your wife, You ever had an argument where you
- 6:25Speaker 3: just yelled, It happens. You get over there, you figure out, okay,
- 6:30Speaker 3: nobody touched anybody. Let's go now. According to this new
- 6:33Speaker 3: law in New York, if it ever becomes a lot,
- 6:35Speaker 3: it's a bill right now. It would mandate that the
- 6:38Speaker 3: officers confiscate all firearms left out the open. I mean,
- 6:42Speaker 3: it's incredible, It is just nuts. It was tried in
- 6:47Speaker 3: twenty twenty and now they're repurposing it and repackaging it
- 6:51Speaker 3: for twenty twenty four. The thing will probably pass. Brother,
- 6:54Speaker 3: I mean, it's scary. It's a clear violation the Second Amendment,
- 7:00Speaker 3: the Fourth Amendment. All it is is harassment. They want
- 7:04Speaker 3: to harassed gun owners. They want gun owners temporarily disarmed
- 7:08Speaker 3: and then forced to make several trips to the police
- 7:09Speaker 3: station to get their property returned. Now New Yorkers, there's
- 7:14Speaker 3: about one hundred of them that had firearms seized during
- 7:18Speaker 3: after they passed the newly expanded red Flag law.
- 7:23Speaker 2: There.
- 7:23Speaker 3: They've contacted the president of the New York State Rifle
- 7:27Speaker 3: and Pistol Association, which bought us bruin. By the way,
- 7:31Speaker 3: he's bought loudly about this bill. Some of these people
- 7:34Speaker 3: paid more than ten thousand dollars in legal piece and
- 7:36Speaker 3: still don't have their guns back. Believe that these laws
- 7:40Speaker 3: will be enforced.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Okay, let me ask you about that, because in all
- 7:45Speaker 1: the years, besides my brothers being in law, enforcement one
- 7:48Speaker 1: still is. And the officers male and female that I've
- 7:53Speaker 1: known over the year's lead, they seem to fall into
- 7:55Speaker 1: three categories. The guys and the gals that are like
- 7:59Speaker 1: really hot up on the authority, the group that they're
- 8:04Speaker 1: they're kind of like.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Whatever, I'm going to do my job.
- 8:07Speaker 1: And then there's the group that's like, yeah, no, that's
- 8:09Speaker 1: not constitutional, I'm not doing that. If something like this
- 8:14Speaker 1: were to pass in New York, what what percentage you
- 8:17Speaker 1: think of officers, because no one's gonna know a guns
- 8:22Speaker 1: out there unless obviously they're reviewing and their body cams
- 8:25Speaker 1: are on and all that stuff. What what what percentage
- 8:29Speaker 1: do you think of the officers say, man, this is
- 8:31Speaker 1: just not right. Unless we suspect there's a danger, we're
- 8:34Speaker 1: not going there.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Yeah. When I was a cop twenty years ago, I
- 8:38Speaker 3: would say eighty percent would have been that way.
- 8:41Speaker 2: You know, no blood, no fouls, Yeah, gotcha, gotcha.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Nowadays, I'm thinking seventy eighty percent would would take the guns.
- 8:50Speaker 3: It's sad to say it, but you get in these
- 8:53Speaker 3: in these eastern or far western police departments, you get
- 8:57Speaker 3: that mindset, you get that mind said brother. I mean
- 9:00Speaker 3: I'm seeing cops do things I never ever, ever would
- 9:03Speaker 3: have done ever, But yep, they're doing it because that's
- 9:08Speaker 3: the mentality of these police departments on the East Coast
- 9:12Speaker 3: and the far West Coast. That's a great point, brother,
- 9:15Speaker 3: by the way, that you brought that I should add
- 9:17Speaker 3: that to the story.
- 9:20Speaker 1: There are things we get in our email box that
- 9:23Speaker 1: we just shake our head and immediately go to the
- 9:26Speaker 1: unsubscribe or the block or the spam notices, and you
- 9:30Speaker 1: just do everything possible to never see it again. Then
- 9:34Speaker 1: there is email that we want to get, and this
- 9:38Speaker 1: is what you want to get. It's the gunwriter dot
- 9:41Speaker 1: substack dot com. It will cost you nothing. You're welcome
- 9:45Speaker 1: to support the work, but it is information related to
- 9:50Speaker 1: the Second Amendment and our constitutional rights to bear arms.
- 9:54Speaker 2: And Lee Williams is with us this morning.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Lee, I know you wrote about Matt Gates and the
- 10:00Speaker 1: fun that we could have watched unfold. I would have
- 10:03Speaker 1: paid money just to watch his confirmation hearing, but it's
- 10:08Speaker 1: not going to happen. Pam Bondy, who you are well
- 10:10Speaker 1: acquainted with, is going to take the role of Attorney General.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I think she'll be confirmed. What are your thoughts about
- 10:17Speaker 1: Ms BONDI I.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Think she'll do a good job. She has been supporting
- 10:22Speaker 3: Trump throughout the years, supporting him hard. I mean, she's
- 10:27Speaker 3: the one that he chose to go to the media
- 10:29Speaker 3: when they've raised some serious allegations. She'll do well. I too,
- 10:34Speaker 3: wish Matt would have could have had his chance at
- 10:39Speaker 3: this position. I mean, my god, man, some of the
- 10:42Speaker 3: things that he has said over the years, some of
- 10:45Speaker 3: the things that I have yet to hear anybody discuss
- 10:49Speaker 3: the Second Amendment better than that gains. Yeah, Okay, not
- 10:52Speaker 3: only does he get it, he needs to get it.
- 10:55Speaker 3: He's from the part of Florida where they have two
- 10:59Speaker 3: things that they want, guns and guns. Okay, he would
- 11:04Speaker 3: never have been the Attorney General without having a tremendous
- 11:10Speaker 3: gun schedule, and I just you know, we're losing that
- 11:17Speaker 3: with Pam. I think she'll do a great job. I
- 11:21Speaker 3: know she'll do a great job, but I think Matt
- 11:23Speaker 3: would have been really fun.
- 11:25Speaker 2: What do you think happens with Matt Gates moving forward? Personally?
- 11:28Speaker 1: I think the whole ethics thing there was probably enough there,
- 11:32Speaker 1: though not criminal, that it warranted him stepping down from
- 11:36Speaker 1: his seat because there's nothing else that makes sense on
- 11:38Speaker 1: why he stepped down. But what do you think he
- 11:40Speaker 1: does moving forward?
- 11:42Speaker 3: I think he takes his seat and goes into the
- 11:44Speaker 3: next session. I think he goes right back to Congress.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Do you really do Yeah? I do. I think that's
- 11:52Speaker 3: where he should be, unless they want him to fill
- 11:55Speaker 3: in for one of these guys that they're yanking out,
- 11:58Speaker 3: yanking out of the Senate. But yeah, he needs to be.
- 12:02Speaker 3: He needs to play a role in our Congress as
- 12:06Speaker 3: a congressman or as a senator. We need we need
- 12:10Speaker 3: Matt Gates in there.
- 12:12Speaker 2: See.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I I fear that he stepped out and resigned his
- 12:16Speaker 1: post to make that ethics report die.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I've heard that, but I would love to see
- 12:27Speaker 3: him get back in. You know, there's no way they
- 12:31Speaker 3: should have brought that out. By the way, he is
- 12:34Speaker 3: not part of it, not part of the Congress, so
- 12:38Speaker 3: that thing should have died. However, you know, damn well,
- 12:40Speaker 3: there would have been copies that got emailed and they
- 12:43Speaker 3: would have gone right to MSLSD and all these other
- 12:46Speaker 3: groups too well.
- 12:47Speaker 1: As we talked about earlier in the program, you know,
- 12:50Speaker 1: there was no chance that there was anything criminal there
- 12:53Speaker 1: because had there been under Biden and Merrick Garland, he
- 12:58Speaker 1: would have been charged.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, no, I agree. There's nothing in there that's criminal.
- 13:03Speaker 3: There must have been something in there that he didn't
- 13:05Speaker 3: want me in public. I feel bad for him. Who knows,
- 13:09Speaker 3: Maybe it didn't happen. I don't know. I don't care.
- 13:13Speaker 3: I don't really care what he's done with his life.
- 13:17Speaker 3: He's got a great spouse. Now let's get him back
- 13:21Speaker 3: into Congress. We need him, we need his type of
- 13:25Speaker 3: mentality quite frankly, in Congress.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Tell me this as we take a break because we
- 13:32Speaker 1: will not get a chance to meet again until after
- 13:35Speaker 1: the new year, with the Christmas break coming up.
- 13:37Speaker 2: What are you working on?
- 13:39Speaker 1: What stories, without giving away too much are percolating there
- 13:43Speaker 1: at your laptop.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Well, I did a story on Mecklburgh County sure of
- 13:48Speaker 3: Gary McFadden in North Carolina. Let me just say that
- 13:51Speaker 3: has blown up. You'll read more about the Meckliburg County
- 13:55Speaker 3: sure of Gary McFadden, who is, by the way, in
- 13:59Speaker 3: my humble opinion, wor sure in the country. In this
- 14:01Speaker 3: from the Second Amendment point of view, you will read
- 14:04Speaker 3: much more on him.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Nice All right, sir, my friend, thanks for the time
- 14:09Speaker 1: this morning. As always, I love your insight, love your
- 14:11Speaker 1: work and have a great Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Ditto, Ditto, diddo, and you too. Take care brother.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Thank you. Sir.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Lee Williams with us this morning the gun Writer dot
- 14:21Speaker 1: substack dot com.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Go subscribe.
- 14:27Speaker 1: You will be better for it. It's The Morning Show
- 14:29Speaker 1: with Presto Scott
