The Pope has appointed Apostolic Nuncio Mark Miles to Costa Rica. The Gibraltarian Archbishop has been the Apostolic Nuncio in the Republic of Benin. Previously he was the papal ambassador to the West African country, and became the first Gibraltarian priest to hold such a senior diplomatic role and to be ordained an Archbishop.
