- 0:35Speaker 1: We have a great show for everybody today. We'll we
- 0:36Speaker 1: have a Crystal.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Indeed we do. Once again.
- 0:38Speaker 2: We're going to be covering the Iran war from every aspect.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Trump out with some new comments saying that it will
- 0:43Speaker 2: be a mutual decision between US and Israel when this
- 0:47Speaker 2: war ends.
- 0:48Speaker 4: So that's pretty interesting.
- 0:50Speaker 2: We've also got Trump's disrespectful display at the dignified transfer
- 0:54Speaker 2: of service member remains. We'll show you that and how
- 0:56Speaker 2: Fox News try to cover it up. Water sources are
- 0:59Speaker 2: now being attacked. This is extraordinarily dire for a region
- 1:03Speaker 2: that does not have sufficient freshwater there locally, so we'll
- 1:07Speaker 2: break down what that means for the war and escalation.
- 1:10Speaker 2: We're also going to have an analyst oil analyst on
- 1:13Speaker 2: to take a look at what skyrocketing oil prices mean
- 1:17Speaker 2: for the entire economy. Extremely dire warnings from a very
- 1:21Speaker 2: sober minded analyst, so you definitely want to listen to
- 1:24Speaker 2: that one. A new Supreme leader has been chosen, true
- 1:27Speaker 2: to Parsi, is going to join us to break down
- 1:29Speaker 2: what that means and also what happened with Ron's attempted
- 1:32Speaker 2: de escalation in the region. Jeffrey Sachs believes we are
- 1:35Speaker 2: already in a world war. We will discuss and debate,
- 1:38Speaker 2: and Lindsey Graham is a psychopathic warhawk and also apparently
- 1:42Speaker 2: a trader according to new reporting, So definitely want to
- 1:45Speaker 2: know about that one.
- 1:46Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Even the Iranians are like, hey, man, if somebody did
- 1:49Speaker 3: this over here, we would just you know.
- 1:50Speaker 1: We would put them on trial for treason.
- 1:52Speaker 3: So there you go, all right, Thank you to everybody
- 1:54Speaker 3: who's been supporting signing up for the show Breakingpoints dot com.

- 2:17Speaker 3: If you cannot afford it, no worries, or if you

- 2:26Speaker 3: with a friend who really helps other people find the show,
- 2:29Speaker 3: especially if they want to know what's going on with Iran.
- 2:31Speaker 3: But as you said, let's start with these new comments
- 2:33Speaker 3: from Donald Trump, the President, onboard Air Force one on
- 2:36Speaker 3: returning from that dignified transfer of the fallen American service members.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Here he is talking about boots on the ground, refusing
- 2:44Speaker 3: to rule it out.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Let's take a listen.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Think the map of Iran will look the same the.
- 2:48Speaker 6: Worst complicated enough without having getting the currents in.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Both And do you think the map of Iran looks
- 2:54Speaker 2: the same after this is all done, and.
- 2:57Speaker 5: I can't tell you probably not circumstances.
- 3:00Speaker 1: You said it ground troops. How are you thinking about that?
- 3:02Speaker 5: Why don't you want to talk about it now? I
- 3:04Speaker 5: mean that I don't think it's an appropriate question. You know,
- 3:09Speaker 5: I'm not going to answer it. Could there be possible
- 3:12Speaker 5: for a very good reason, have to be a very
- 3:14Speaker 5: good reason, And I would say if we ever did that,
- 3:18Speaker 5: they would be so decimated that they would be able
- 3:20Speaker 5: to fight at the ground level. Them negotiating leverage maybe maximum,
- 3:24Speaker 5: but we're not looking to settle. They'd like to settle.
- 3:28Speaker 5: We're not looking to sell. If they're on their third
- 3:30Speaker 5: or fourth level of leadership, and they have leaders right
- 3:34Speaker 5: now that nobody even knows who they are. That they're
- 3:36Speaker 5: being decimated now, you know, at some point, I don't
- 3:39Speaker 5: think there'll be anybody left maybe to say we surrender,
- 3:44Speaker 5: but they're being decimated.
- 3:45Speaker 4: From Uranians are concerned that the Kurds will carve out
- 3:48Speaker 4: kind of an autonomous region if they did in Syria.
- 3:51Speaker 5: Any rock we're not having.
- 3:52Speaker 6: We're not looking to the Kurds going in. We're very
- 3:56Speaker 6: familiar with the Courags, as you know, but we don't
- 3:58Speaker 6: want to make the war anymore complex, and we don't
- 4:03Speaker 6: want Yeah, I have ruled it out. I don't want
- 4:05Speaker 6: the Curds going in. I don't want to see the
- 4:07Speaker 6: Kurds get hurt, get killed. We've had a good relationship.
- 4:12Speaker 6: They're will need to go in, but we really I've
- 4:14Speaker 6: told them I don't want them to go in.
- 4:16Speaker 3: So completely all over the map comments, but the most
- 4:19Speaker 3: noteworthy one is not ruling out boots on the ground,
- 4:21Speaker 3: saying if we did do, I mean, you can see
- 4:22Speaker 3: it's it's probably going to happen now at this point.
- 4:25Speaker 3: But secondary to that are these imperial comments at the
- 4:29Speaker 3: very top that we showed you Crystal, him saying that
- 4:31Speaker 3: the map is not going to look the same. And
- 4:33Speaker 3: even though he is talking there about quote ruling out
- 4:36Speaker 3: the Kurds, he didn't rule out the Kurds. The Kurds
- 4:38Speaker 3: ruled it out themselves. The Iraqi Kurds were like, hey man,
- 4:41Speaker 3: we want no part of this. And I'll say why,
- 4:44Speaker 3: Because they're right in the range of all of these
- 4:47Speaker 3: short range missiles. The Iranians have already been firing stuff
- 4:50Speaker 3: at them, including the US bases. They have no appetite
- 4:54Speaker 3: for some Irani rock war reducts remember at one point
- 4:57Speaker 3: was that I think, what are the bloodiest conflicts in
- 4:59Speaker 3: human m Almost nobody ever pays any attention to it,
- 5:02Speaker 3: but over a million people died in that conflict. They
- 5:04Speaker 3: want nothing to do with any sort of incursion which
- 5:07Speaker 3: will put them at risk. But that doesn't mean that
- 5:10Speaker 3: we're not going to have all kinds of CIA sponsored
- 5:13Speaker 3: groups inside of the country. Potentially the Iranian courage who
- 5:16Speaker 3: were already there could be armed if the Turks obviously
- 5:20Speaker 3: would get involved. But the comment there, I mean, at
- 5:23Speaker 3: every turn, all this man does is make it even
- 5:26Speaker 3: more existential for the people of Iran. The map is
- 5:29Speaker 3: not going to look at what would you do if
- 5:30Speaker 3: somebody said that imperially decided we're going to redraw your
- 5:34Speaker 3: borders like it's some Syke's Peako time, which, by the way,
- 5:36Speaker 3: they're talking about in Israel. In Israel, they're like, hey,
- 5:38Speaker 3: psychs p CO again, it's an opportunity to redraw the
- 5:41Speaker 3: maps of the Middle East. You will fight to the death,
- 5:43Speaker 3: will you not. I mean, that's if we're going to
- 5:45Speaker 3: burn your oil supplies. So we're going to talk about
- 5:47Speaker 3: here in a bit, we are going to drop bombs
- 5:49Speaker 3: all over you know, collapse, the police forces kill the
- 5:53Speaker 3: Ayatola sponsor, some third party groups, and the president says,
- 5:57Speaker 3: we're going to redraw your map. What do you think
- 5:59Speaker 3: that the going to do as a result of this?
- 6:01Speaker 3: Is an attack on the polity itself, not just on
- 6:03Speaker 3: the regime, on the entire nation state of an idea
- 6:07Speaker 3: of Iran. So yeah, they're almost certainly going to just
- 6:10Speaker 3: continue to use this, especially Iranian state propaganda.
- 6:13Speaker 1: There's been no.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Widespread protests, despite the fact that everybody promised it, and
- 6:17Speaker 3: at every turn, all he is doing is turning the
- 6:20Speaker 3: switch up for escalation, which of course is disastrous for them,
- 6:24Speaker 3: disastrous for US. I'm another American Service member was just
- 6:27Speaker 3: confirmed Kia in the operation. Not to mention for the
- 6:31Speaker 3: Iranian people and especially for everybody else in the region,
- 6:35Speaker 3: it just means wider wars even more.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Like, Yeah, and you've had in addition to those seven
- 6:38Speaker 2: officially Kia, you have two others who have died, one
- 6:41Speaker 2: allegedly of a medical episode, the other allegedly of an accident.
- 6:44Speaker 2: And then you know there are a number of injuries.
- 6:46Speaker 2: There's a hospital that's been closed for labor and delivery
- 6:49Speaker 2: to handle the wounded. US Service members coming out of Iran,
- 6:53Speaker 2: so that's already where we are. I also have to
- 6:55Speaker 2: just say, you know, for these like diaspora Iranian monarchist
- 6:59Speaker 2: what like, you thought that Trump really cared about freedom
- 7:03Speaker 2: for the Iranian people. You know, the people were the
- 7:05Speaker 2: biggest critics of the Iranian regimer in Tehran, and now
- 7:09Speaker 2: they're have an oil rained down on them, apocalyptic fires
- 7:12Speaker 2: like it genuinely looks like a literal movie of a healthscape.
- 7:16Speaker 2: That's your you know, your Iranian freedom. I'm sure the
- 7:19Speaker 2: women are really grateful for their kids breathing in toxic
- 7:22Speaker 2: fumes that are probably going to cause them to have
- 7:25Speaker 2: cancer ten or twenty years in the future. And meanwhile
- 7:28Speaker 2: you have Trump coming out and saying, yeah, Ron will
- 7:31Speaker 2: probably break apart, like I mean, just absolute, absolute insanity.
- 7:36Speaker 2: And it speaks to the fact that the goal now
- 7:39Speaker 2: is Israel' skol. It's civil war, it's regime collapse, it's chaos.
- 7:42Speaker 2: The only reason, as you said, the Kurds aren't getting
- 7:44Speaker 2: involved also is not only are they worried about the danger,
- 7:46Speaker 2: but they're like, listen, you people have, especially Trump in particular,
- 7:50Speaker 2: have screwed us over multiple times in the past, like
- 7:52Speaker 2: how many times are we gonna have to get the
- 7:54Speaker 2: Felfer It again award before we say, you know what
- 7:56Speaker 2: this battle is yours go good luck, We'll see what
- 7:58Speaker 2: happens on the other side of it. So that's where
- 8:00Speaker 2: things stand as of right now. I want to go
- 8:03Speaker 2: ahead and play this next piece, which is extraordinarily significant.
- 8:06Speaker 4: So it has now been.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Confirmed that it was the US that struck that girls
- 8:10Speaker 2: school and murdered those one hundred and sixty eight children,
- 8:13Speaker 2: mostly girls ages seven to twelve. There have been multiple
- 8:16Speaker 2: analyzes and now we have actual video of the Tomahawk missile.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Those come from US, not for Israel, not from Iran,
- 8:24Speaker 2: those come from US. Okay, Tomahawk missile that was dropped
- 8:28Speaker 2: on that school. And recall also there's reporting this was
- 8:30Speaker 2: a double tap strike. So in any case, this is
- 8:33Speaker 2: now incontrovertible, you know, as much as you can learn
- 8:37Speaker 2: anything definitively in war. We now though this is the case,
- 8:41Speaker 2: Trump gets asked about it and what he did, what
- 8:42Speaker 2: does he do?
- 8:43Speaker 4: He just outright lies. Let's take a listen.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Did the United States bomb a girls elementary school in
- 8:48Speaker 1: southern Iran on the first day of the war and
- 8:50Speaker 1: kill one hundred and seventy five people.
- 8:52Speaker 6: Based on what I've seen, that was done by i Ran?
- 8:56Speaker 1: Is that true, mister, except it was Iran who did that.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Certainly investigating, but the only side that targets civilians is Iran.
- 9:07Speaker 1: We think it was.
- 9:08Speaker 6: We think it was done by Iran's very inaccurate. As
- 9:12Speaker 6: you know, with their munitions, they have no accuracy whatsoever.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Who's done by Iraq disgusting, So you saw Pete Hegstath
- 9:20Speaker 3: won't back them up on that investigation since we're investigating it. Look,
- 9:23Speaker 3: I mean, as you said, there's a video, it's literally
- 9:25Speaker 3: a Tomahawk missile. There's only one person in the entire
- 9:27Speaker 3: conflict that uses a Tomahawk missiles. So the last time
- 9:29Speaker 3: I checked, that's the only time that it could have happened.
- 9:32Speaker 3: And all of the background on the strike makes sense
- 9:34Speaker 3: not to devolve too much, but it shows you the danger.
- 9:37Speaker 3: And also I've always warned about this with air campaigns
- 9:40Speaker 3: and everything was, oh, the most sophisticated military. I'm not
- 9:42Speaker 3: denying that, but also there's a lot of error. So
- 9:45Speaker 3: let's say you have this IRGC base which has a school.
- 9:49Speaker 3: We attached to it, right and years ago it was
- 9:52Speaker 3: only IRGC and it wasn't a school. It's very obvious
- 9:55Speaker 3: that they didn't update whatever their strike package was. And
- 9:57Speaker 3: whoever's programming these coordinates into the Tomahawk, they have no idea.
- 10:00Speaker 1: They're can passed on by the Pentagon.
- 10:02Speaker 3: So whoever it is that put that you know, coordinate
- 10:05Speaker 3: into the strike package sent it along to the Tomahawk,
- 10:07Speaker 3: they're the ones who are responsible. In the old times,
- 10:10Speaker 3: this is a massive scandal. I covered the Kundu's hospital
- 10:14Speaker 3: incident in twenty fifteen. I mean that was front page
- 10:19Speaker 3: news of every paper in the country. The military, look,
- 10:23Speaker 3: you know, hated Obama and all that, but there were
- 10:25Speaker 3: still at least some rules and all that at the time.
- 10:27Speaker 3: And at the Pentagon, I mean, their feet were held
- 10:29Speaker 3: to the fire whenever that hospital in Afghanistan was struck.
- 10:33Speaker 3: This time around, it's like Tomahawk missile video. You've got
- 10:37Speaker 3: multiple geolocated pieces of evidence. By the way, the military
- 10:41Speaker 3: themselves are leaking to Reuters into everybody else, they like, yeah,
- 10:44Speaker 3: it was probably US, okay, and now if they never
- 10:46Speaker 3: confirm it, and Trump is like, oh, it was Iran,
- 10:48Speaker 3: which was some Israeli claim. Just so everybody understands that
- 10:51Speaker 3: was a claim grown around by Israel literally completely fake.
- 10:54Speaker 3: It's Gaza level stuff. Oh a rocket that come that
- 10:59Speaker 3: bingo exactly, misfire that came down and that killed them.
- 11:02Speaker 3: This is this is like a serious shameful and even
- 11:05Speaker 3: Laura Ingram is like, Hey, somebody's head needs to roll
- 11:08Speaker 3: for this, right but this, you know, this is the gods,
- 11:10Speaker 3: this is what happens when we get in bed with
- 11:12Speaker 3: the Israelis. We're going to adopt their talk, their tactics,
- 11:15Speaker 3: and their talking points. We're literally eroding our entire national
- 11:18Speaker 3: sense of honor in the Iraq War. I can tell
- 11:20Speaker 3: you this right now, this might have happened, but seriously,
- 11:23Speaker 3: something actually would have happened at the military command level.
- 11:25Speaker 3: You think Hegseth and Trump are going to do anything?
- 11:27Speaker 1: Zero course? Okase disgraceful.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Yeah, the moment that the media stops asking them those
- 11:31Speaker 2: questions will never hear bout.
- 11:33Speaker 4: We'll never know that's what's going to happen.
- 11:34Speaker 2: And one last piece on this, because it's important something
- 11:36Speaker 2: we've been focused on. Very very possible that Ai anthropics
- 11:40Speaker 2: Claude in particular, was involved in picking this target.
- 11:44Speaker 4: And so you know, and I mean, which.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Opens up a whole other basket of questions about the
- 11:49Speaker 2: way AI is being utilized. We know that AI continues
- 11:53Speaker 2: to hallucinate, you know, obviously this uh you know, begs
- 11:56Speaker 2: the question of who then, who is responsible if it
- 11:59Speaker 2: was AI that it and there wasn't sufficient human involvement
- 12:02Speaker 2: in review. So just I mean just horrifying.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Well, you can see how it happens. You're like, hey,
- 12:07Speaker 3: give me a list of IRGC bases.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Here you go. Yeah, it just pills from an old
- 12:11Speaker 1: data map. You don't radar whatever, right exactly, and.
- 12:14Speaker 3: That what you've got fifty different strike power how many
- 12:16Speaker 3: they said in the first day of the campaign that
- 12:19Speaker 3: they did double the amount of strikes that they didn't
- 12:21Speaker 3: shock and on Iraq it's a one strike was bad.
- 12:23Speaker 1: But this is the problem.
- 12:24Speaker 3: This is why you're supposed to have people with, you know,
- 12:27Speaker 3: some actual intelligence and others looking it over, because as
- 12:30Speaker 3: Tomahawk missile doesn't just fly somewhere without a serious level
- 12:34Speaker 3: of checks in terms of people who are like, let's
- 12:37Speaker 3: do the intelligence. Here we go, here's the picture of it.
- 12:40Speaker 3: This is why it needs to be struck. Here's its impact.
- 12:42Speaker 3: And this I mean seriously, a massively shameful incident. Honestly
- 12:46Speaker 3: a huge smirching on the entire honor of the United States.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Let's put a three up here next on the screen,
- 12:54Speaker 3: just to show you everything is rolling towards ground trips
- 12:57Speaker 3: right now. I just I don't see a way out
- 12:59Speaker 3: of it. And news Trump has a privately shown interest
- 13:02Speaker 3: in US ground troops in Iran. His comments have been
- 13:05Speaker 3: focused on the idea of a small contingent of troops
- 13:08Speaker 3: that we use for specific purposes. Let's go to the
- 13:10Speaker 3: next one, just to continue to fill this out. This
- 13:13Speaker 3: is from A four. There's been a cancellation of an
- 13:16Speaker 3: Army exercise, quote fueling speculation about Middle Eastern troop deployments.
- 13:20Speaker 3: The elite eighty second Airborne Division, which specializes in ground
- 13:24Speaker 3: combat and other fraud missions, is now awaiting new orders.
- 13:27Speaker 3: After an unexpected change of plans, the Army abruptly canceled
- 13:32Speaker 3: this major training exercise. This station at Fort Bragg in
- 13:35Speaker 3: North Carolina, brigade combat team of four to five thousand
- 13:38Speaker 3: soldiers ready to deplore on an eighteen hour notice for
- 13:41Speaker 3: missions as varied as seizing airfields and other critical infrastructure.
- 13:45Speaker 3: So you could see paratroopers now who are getting involved here,
- 13:49Speaker 3: and in fact, what we see initially is that some
- 13:52Speaker 3: shape of what this strike would look like or for
- 13:55Speaker 3: ground troops. Let's put a six please on the screen.
- 13:57Speaker 3: This is from friend Shelby Talcott over at Semaphore. Trump's
- 14:01Speaker 3: Iran options include a special Operations raid on nuclear sides.
- 14:06Speaker 3: So what it would do is a special unit mission
- 14:08Speaker 3: has long ready to quote counter MWMD mission where their
- 14:13Speaker 3: job is to go in and get loose nuclear like
- 14:17Speaker 3: loose nuclear material, fissile material centrifuges, destroy them. And this
- 14:21Speaker 3: is part of the folly of the entire thing. We're
- 14:23Speaker 3: told that this is all about nuclear sites. Well, we've
- 14:25Speaker 3: bombed some of the nuclear sites, but by US intelligence's
- 14:28Speaker 3: own admission, it's all now underground and they can't get
- 14:31Speaker 3: to it. They can't continue to bombit. So to go
- 14:34Speaker 3: and get it, what do you have to do? Boots
- 14:35Speaker 3: on the ground. And so in this instance, you can't
- 14:38Speaker 3: just have some special Operations team insert when the Iranians
- 14:42Speaker 3: know you're probably coming. That's why you would have the
- 14:44Speaker 3: eighty second airbords. They're gonna have to send thousands of
- 14:46Speaker 3: troops in, so you know, the special operation can do it.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Those guys have to provide security, you know, to be
- 14:51Speaker 3: able to come in if anything goes the rod to
- 14:53Speaker 3: airlift them out of here. You can easily see how
- 14:56Speaker 3: much of a disaster that this could easily be inside.
- 14:59Speaker 3: What you think that the Iranians don't read the news?
- 15:02Speaker 3: What do you think they're gonna do right now? They're
- 15:03Speaker 3: going to surround that thing and turn it into, you know,
- 15:06Speaker 3: a death trap. And I'm not saying that we're not
- 15:09Speaker 3: capable of doing something like this, but perhaps it would
- 15:11Speaker 3: cost a lot of lives. And what's shocking too is
- 15:15Speaker 3: the cavalier nature that they're already talking about death, not
- 15:19Speaker 3: just of but not just of Iranians, but of Americans.
- 15:21Speaker 3: With Iranians, I mean, heg sad, he's a psychopath. He's
- 15:24Speaker 3: like anybody's still alive, they may not be alive. I
- 15:26Speaker 3: mean that he's literally like a video game character. And actually,
- 15:30Speaker 3: I do think it's worth meditating here on the White
- 15:32Speaker 3: House is propaganda. Everything is like Iron Man Tropic Thunder,
- 15:36Speaker 3: like they're trying to mean this into existence. It's some
- 15:39Speaker 3: of the worst aspects of like two thousand and three,
- 15:42Speaker 3: you know, raw raw Americanism, which south Park used to
- 15:45Speaker 3: do such a good job of parroting. But to show
- 15:48Speaker 3: how insane things are in the White House, they will
- 15:51Speaker 3: not even rule out a draft. Okay, so a five.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Let's take a listen.
- 15:56Speaker 7: Mothers out there are worried that we're gonna have a draft,
- 15:59Speaker 7: that they're going to their sons get and daughters get
- 16:02Speaker 7: involved in this. What do you want to say about
- 16:04Speaker 7: the president's plans for troops on the ground. As we know,
- 16:08Speaker 7: it's been largely an air campaign up until now.
- 16:13Speaker 8: It has been and it will continue to be. And
- 16:16Speaker 8: President Trump wisely does not remove options off of the table.
- 16:20Speaker 8: I know a lot of politicians like to do that quickly,
- 16:22Speaker 8: but the president, as commander in chief, wants to continue
- 16:25Speaker 8: to assess the success of this military operation. It's not
- 16:30Speaker 8: part of the current plan right now. But the President
- 16:33Speaker 8: again wisely keeps his options on the table.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Wisely keeping his options on the table for a draft.
- 16:39Speaker 3: I mean, it's it's first of all politics wise, think
- 16:42Speaker 3: about that. That's going to rocket to every mom of
- 16:45Speaker 3: a seventeen year old in the entire country.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Voted for Trump.
- 16:49Speaker 3: All these young and who voted for Trump. I mean,
- 16:54Speaker 3: I have no words. By the way, I mean, I've
- 16:56Speaker 3: given you my counterintuitor to take. I support a draft
- 16:58Speaker 3: for exactly this reason. I'm like, hey, if you want to,
- 17:00Speaker 3: you know, if you want to send America's sons and
- 17:02Speaker 3: daughters to the war, the whole population better be bought
- 17:05Speaker 3: in or people should riot over the In the First
- 17:10Speaker 3: World War, the Prime Minister of the UK, his son
- 17:13Speaker 3: was killed on the front line. The entire highest echelon
- 17:17Speaker 3: of society, all of their sons were killed and like
- 17:19Speaker 3: actually thrown into combat, not some rear, you know, reaction.
- 17:23Speaker 3: And that showed that the society as a whole was
- 17:26Speaker 3: actually into the war. And I'm saying the war was good,
- 17:28Speaker 3: but that's the last time that we've ever seen anything
- 17:31Speaker 3: like that.
- 17:31Speaker 1: From that point.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Forward, the elite of the elite, they always get in
- 17:34Speaker 3: the rear echelon. And of course since Vietnam in particular,
- 17:38Speaker 3: the way we got around that one is all poor
- 17:40Speaker 3: young and black, young black and white men are the
- 17:43Speaker 3: people who went and fought and died in the war.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Same thing, unfortunately happened with the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.
- 17:48Speaker 3: They all volunteer military force. They have primarily targeted. I mean, look,
- 17:52Speaker 3: it was a military culture in the South and a
- 17:54Speaker 3: lot of these working class communities literally across America, and
- 17:57Speaker 3: they're the ones who predominantly suffered while people like me,
- 18:00Speaker 3: you know, got to go to college. Is shameful actually
- 18:03Speaker 3: that they're allowed to perpetuate something like that.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, my daughter's a senior in high school.
- 18:06Speaker 2: The recruiters are at the high school all the time,
- 18:08Speaker 2: you know. And who is interested in that? The people
- 18:11Speaker 2: who yeah, they're not on the college track. They're looking
- 18:13Speaker 2: at the economy. They're you know, this is a way
- 18:15Speaker 2: to be able to have a stable job, and next
- 18:18Speaker 2: thing you know, you're being sent off, sent off to
- 18:19Speaker 2: fight some war for Israel in the Middle East. Just
- 18:22Speaker 2: to I just want to drill down a little bit
- 18:24Speaker 2: on why there is increasing likelihood, if not certainty, that
- 18:29Speaker 2: US ground troops are going to be on the ground,
- 18:32Speaker 2: because you know, I think part of why we're in
- 18:35Speaker 2: this place at this point. And Robert Pape, Professor Pape
- 18:38Speaker 2: has been doing a lot of this analysis in predicting
- 18:40Speaker 2: this for a while, which is why it's worth listening
- 18:42Speaker 2: to what he says is, you know, you are not
- 18:45Speaker 2: going to be able to accomplish either a regime change
- 18:48Speaker 2: or destroying the nuclear material from the air. So you know,
- 18:53Speaker 2: in a rock it took a year of searching the
- 18:55Speaker 2: country to figure out there were no w MD. Okay,
- 18:59Speaker 2: so you are not going to be able to figure
- 19:01Speaker 2: out where it is. You are not going to be
- 19:03Speaker 2: able to vomit into oblivion or have confidence that you've
- 19:06Speaker 2: bombed it into oblivion without being there on the ground.
- 19:10Speaker 2: So option number one is you fail, right, Trump Tacos,
- 19:14Speaker 2: That's what I'm hoping for. Trump Tacos, you know, bombs
- 19:17Speaker 2: something or kills the next Supreme leader and it is like, Okay,
- 19:19Speaker 2: we're done, great job, everybody, let's go home.
- 19:22Speaker 4: In that scenario number one.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Israel of course not going to be satisfied with that.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Number two, it's not clear that Iran would accept that
- 19:29Speaker 2: at this point because they're looking at this Their new
- 19:32Speaker 2: Supreme leader just had his father, mother, wife, and son
- 19:36Speaker 2: murdered by the US and Israel. So I don't think
- 19:40Speaker 2: he's going to be in like a really conciliatory mood
- 19:42Speaker 2: here number one. Number two, their strategic calculus now is
- 19:47Speaker 2: that they have to hit us hard. They have to
- 19:49Speaker 2: make us pay and suffer so that we don't do
- 19:52Speaker 2: this again. So even if Trump Taco's at this point,
- 19:55Speaker 2: it is no guarantee that the thing is going to
- 19:57Speaker 2: be over. So that's option number one. Of of course Trump,
- 20:00Speaker 2: you know, he wants to save face, et cetera. So
- 20:02Speaker 2: and you've got a lot of forces from Israel that
- 20:05Speaker 2: are continuing to push in this direction. Number two is
- 20:08Speaker 2: that you have some sort of ground invasion to try
- 20:12Speaker 2: to obtain and destroy this nuclear material so that you
- 20:15Speaker 2: can have your mission accomplished moment there. Number three, I
- 20:20Speaker 2: guess is that you like deploy a nuke or something
- 20:22Speaker 2: completely insane like that, which we're going to talk about
- 20:24Speaker 2: a little bit more of the possibility of that in
- 20:26Speaker 2: World War three, which quite frankly, at this point, you
- 20:28Speaker 2: can't put anything with Netanyahu and Trump in charge. You
- 20:30Speaker 2: cannot put anything off the table because the level of
- 20:34Speaker 2: death and destruction that these men are comfortable with is
- 20:36Speaker 2: completely insane. I think Trump thinking about his legacy, I
- 20:41Speaker 2: don't think he cares whether that legacy is like as
- 20:44Speaker 2: a good leader or as as like notoriously evil leader.
- 20:49Speaker 2: I think he's just more interested in leaving a gigantic
- 20:52Speaker 2: mark on the world and wanting to be remembered, and
- 20:55Speaker 2: so listen, if you're going in that direction, being the
- 20:58Speaker 2: you know, first president since World War Two to drop
- 21:00Speaker 2: a nuke again. I'm not saying that's what's gonna happen,
- 21:02Speaker 2: but I don't think that you can fly.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I wouldn't rule it out the table.
- 21:05Speaker 3: I actually wouldn't rule it out, not just because of Trump,
- 21:07Speaker 3: but really because of Baby. Let's put a seven up
- 21:09Speaker 3: there on the screen. Trump says to the Times of
- 21:11Speaker 3: Times of Israel, it'll be a mutual decision with Netna
- 21:14Speaker 3: who regarding when the war ends so America literally, you know,
- 21:17Speaker 3: we're giving up all of our sovereignty. It's a mutual
- 21:19Speaker 3: decision with bby netnya who literally a client state, not
- 21:23Speaker 3: exactly somebody who's an equal ally slash partner in this
- 21:26Speaker 3: entire thing. But he's the one who's gone all in.
- 21:28Speaker 3: We're gonna talk later about those oil strikes. It was
- 21:30Speaker 3: Israel apparently, and they're saying, oh, the US, they would
- 21:33Speaker 3: be very upset about the strike, fake whatever. If you're
- 21:35Speaker 3: not gonna do anything about it, don't don't. Don't leak
- 21:37Speaker 3: it to baracra V, just like Joe Biden's entire presidency did.
- 21:40Speaker 3: But their level of barbarism which we all sawt Remember
- 21:45Speaker 3: it's not just Gaza, because Gaza was barbarism at it
- 21:48Speaker 3: like a humanitarian level, but their barbarism in terms of
- 21:52Speaker 3: their like gangster action in the whole region is really
- 21:55Speaker 3: what showed. It's like, oh, these fuckers will do anything,
- 21:57Speaker 3: ye like Doha, Qatar, Jordan's or Lebanon, like all.
- 22:02Speaker 4: Over the Lebanon right now.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Literally, I mean they're saying we're going to turn Dahia
- 22:08Speaker 3: area of Beirut into communists. This is smoke trick. They
- 22:12Speaker 3: say this stuff out loud. How they're going to level.
- 22:15Speaker 3: I've seen, you know, hotels, buildings just completely collapsing in
- 22:19Speaker 3: the middle of that city. So that is why I
- 22:22Speaker 3: actually wouldn't rule out anything, because you never know where
- 22:25Speaker 3: Israel will force your.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Well, and especially when you layer on the number of
- 22:29Speaker 2: like religious fanatics who are wanting to bring about the
- 22:33Speaker 2: end times, Like, how can you rule anything out? And
- 22:36Speaker 2: that's you know, that's an Israel and that's here too.
- 22:38Speaker 2: So I again, I sort of feel like I had
- 22:41Speaker 2: a blind spot for how much that ideology is significant,
- 22:46Speaker 2: both in terms of the some of the base of
- 22:48Speaker 2: the Republican Party, but more importantly in terms of the leadership.
- 22:51Speaker 2: I mean, you think about how couldy you think about
- 22:53Speaker 2: heg Seth, you think about the you know, Trump's spiritual advisor,
- 22:56Speaker 2: and then he has this messianic vision of himself. This
- 23:00Speaker 2: scary stuff that we're playing with, very scary stuff that
- 23:02Speaker 2: they're playing with.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Let's turn out to Donald Trump here. This should be
- 23:05Speaker 1: a national scandal. You know.
- 23:07Speaker 3: I thought that the remember what the tan suit Latte salute,
- 23:11Speaker 3: all that stuff under Obama?
- 23:12Speaker 1: That was Fox News fair.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Here was Trump at the dignified transfer literally dead American
- 23:18Speaker 3: serviceman where he's supposed to be saluting, and he's wearing
- 23:21Speaker 3: a baseball cap.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Take a look at this.
- 23:24Speaker 3: I mean, every other person is not wearing a baseball cap,
- 23:27Speaker 3: because that's not what you're supposed to do in this
- 23:29Speaker 3: type of situation. The USA cap apparently it's the exact
- 23:31Speaker 3: same USA cap that was worn whenever he announced that war,
- 23:36Speaker 3: remember in the middle of the night, literally at what
- 23:39Speaker 3: two am, and then we didn't hear from him for
- 23:41Speaker 3: like twenty four hours on what the hell was going
- 23:44Speaker 3: on there. What's even crazier is this Fox News and
- 23:47Speaker 3: the way that they covered it, where they actually played
- 23:50Speaker 3: old footage of the dignified transfer, apparently to cover up
- 23:53Speaker 3: the baseball cap. Let's go ahead and put this up
- 23:55Speaker 3: here on the screen so as you guys can see
- 23:58Speaker 3: all here.
- 23:58Speaker 1: They used old footage of.
- 24:00Speaker 3: A previous dignified transfer, apparently to mislead the audience about
- 24:04Speaker 3: the fact that he did wear a baseball cap during
- 24:06Speaker 3: that's so I mean, that is so crazy now, Fox News,
- 24:10Speaker 3: I guess, to their credit, did eventually apologize after this
- 24:13Speaker 3: was pointed out.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Let's take a listen.
- 24:15Speaker 9: Before we move on, we want to acknowledge a mistake
- 24:17Speaker 9: made earlier on our program. During our coverage of yesterday's
- 24:20Speaker 9: dignified transfer, we inadvertently aired video from an older dignified
- 24:24Speaker 9: transfer instead of this ceremony that took place yesterday. We
- 24:28Speaker 9: deeply regret the error and extend our respecting condolences to
- 24:32Speaker 9: the service members' families. We honored the sacrifice of those
- 24:35Speaker 9: six American heroes.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Yeah, sure, I'm sure that's an Inverton, just a little
- 24:41Speaker 2: oopsie editing together a clip with a previous dignified train.
- 24:44Speaker 3: I mean, especially, here's why I actually don't believe it,
- 24:46Speaker 3: because did none of the hosts, like everyone saw the
- 24:49Speaker 3: pictures and then they played that immediately. If you and
- 24:52Speaker 3: I were doing that, I'd be like, hey, that's the wrong.
- 24:54Speaker 3: How did something like this happen? Nobody in the control room? Nothing, Yeah,
- 24:58Speaker 3: not buying it. That only happen and because it got
- 25:01Speaker 3: leaked out there. But what's even worse. Look, I mean,
- 25:04Speaker 3: as people know, I'm an dress code fanatic. But you know,
- 25:07Speaker 3: it's not just about that. It's also about what it represents,
- 25:10Speaker 3: which is about it's called a dignified transfer. It's about
- 25:13Speaker 3: respect for the people who are dead. What's even more
- 25:15Speaker 3: disrespectful is Trump basically saying, yeah, this is probably going
- 25:19Speaker 3: to be the first of many. I hate to do it,
- 25:21Speaker 3: but that's part of war. Whatever, right, literally, Lord farquad mean,
- 25:25Speaker 3: let's take a listen.
- 25:26Speaker 9: I'm going to end up coming back to Dover for
- 25:28Speaker 9: more of these such dignified transfers.
- 25:33Speaker 5: Sure, I hate to do but it's a part of war.
- 25:38Speaker 5: Who are you with at Washington Post? What do you say?
- 25:41Speaker 5: It's a part of war?
- 25:44Speaker 9: The deaths are.
- 25:46Speaker 5: Part of Warrio, it's a part of war. It's a
- 25:48Speaker 5: sad part of them.
- 25:49Speaker 1: It's the bad part of one, sad part of war,
- 25:52Speaker 1: bad part of war.
- 25:52Speaker 3: I mean, it's just so comfortable with the deaths of
- 25:55Speaker 3: American servicemen, you know another thing, and we shouldn't let
- 25:57Speaker 3: this one go on. Knows anyone noticed Tulsi Gabbard there
- 25:59Speaker 3: in full doing her salute. How many times had her
- 26:02Speaker 3: on the program talking about, Oh, I never want to
- 26:04Speaker 3: see Americans come back. You know, my time as a
- 26:07Speaker 3: medic really informed my views. There she is sitting in
- 26:11Speaker 3: front of coffins coming back from this now war with
- 26:14Speaker 3: Iran again. One of them literally a twenty year old
- 26:17Speaker 3: kid born four to five years after nine to eleven.
- 26:19Speaker 1: It's so disgusting.
- 26:21Speaker 2: She and Jad have been very quiet having me on
- 26:24Speaker 2: the very quiet. I mean it is utterly shameful and insane.
- 26:28Speaker 2: I mean, we're now at a point where they're actively floated.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Now we can't rule a draft out where it's almost
- 26:34Speaker 2: certain that we're going to have boots on the ground,
- 26:36Speaker 2: where they're so cavalier about the death that is going
- 26:40Speaker 2: to come to US service members and additional injuries and casualties,
- 26:45Speaker 2: just really wild stuff. And then in terms of you know,
- 26:48Speaker 2: the costs for everyday Americans, we're going to talk more
- 26:51Speaker 2: extensively about the price of the pump, what that's going
- 26:54Speaker 2: to mean, not only there, but we all live through COVID.
- 26:56Speaker 4: We know the way this ripples.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Surround the economy, that we know the level of disruption
- 27:00Speaker 2: and how much ordinary people suffer when you have these
- 27:05Speaker 2: kinds of supply shocks. So Trump got asked, hey, are
- 27:07Speaker 2: you worried about gas prices? And so cavalier about this
- 27:11Speaker 2: as well. Very easy when you're a billionaire, I guess
- 27:13Speaker 2: let's take a listen to that.
- 27:14Speaker 1: What about gas prices?
- 27:16Speaker 5: Right now?
- 27:17Speaker 10: This is a short excursion into something that should have
- 27:21Speaker 10: been done for forty seven years. Forty seven years it's
- 27:25Speaker 10: taken to do this, and no president had the guts.
- 27:27Speaker 5: To do it.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Short excursion, No big deal.
- 27:30Speaker 2: There's a new talking point from his lackeys, his administration lackeys,
- 27:35Speaker 2: which is like short term pain for long term gain.
- 27:38Speaker 2: That's what they're selling to the American amount.
- 27:40Speaker 3: What for some fake threat from Iron exactly? Bullshit exactly.
- 27:44Speaker 2: And also the pain what they're projecting is not going
- 27:46Speaker 2: to be short term either.
- 27:48Speaker 4: Let's be clear about that too.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Even then, I mean, people spent like two hundred million
- 27:51Speaker 3: dollars more on gas last week than they would have previously.
- 27:54Speaker 3: That's a lot of money. Last time I checked. I mean, look,
- 27:57Speaker 3: just we're gonna talk to Rory Hearin a bit. This
- 27:58Speaker 3: just came across the Why are four ninety nine a
- 28:01Speaker 3: gallon today for diesel five dollars a gallon? I mean,
- 28:05Speaker 3: does anybody else for how many segments we do here
- 28:06Speaker 3: on this show about diesel and trucking and food inflation.
- 28:10Speaker 3: This is where it all comes from. And apparently they
- 28:12Speaker 3: don't give us, They do not care at all about us. Okay,
- 28:15Speaker 3: let's get to water desalination, because that's very important and
- 28:18Speaker 3: a major escalation in the war.
- 28:22Speaker 2: We have now had multiple attacks on regional desalination plants,
- 28:27Speaker 2: including a strike on a significant one within Iran. This
- 28:32Speaker 2: is obviously a war crime, but it's also opened up
- 28:35Speaker 2: a new escalatory front. That's actually some of Professor Jang
- 28:37Speaker 2: talk to us about how vulnerable this entire region is.
- 28:41Speaker 2: And actually the GCC countries outside of Iran, they're the
- 28:44Speaker 2: ones who are more reliant on these desalination plants because
- 28:48Speaker 2: they lack freshwater sources within their own countries. Let's go
- 28:52Speaker 2: and take a listen to Trump getting asked about a
- 28:55Speaker 2: US attack on an Iranian desalination.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Plantanesday, hitting with a desalidation plan in and they said no, no,
- 29:04Speaker 1: I'm I open the door of other strikes on.
- 29:06Speaker 5: Infrastructure, not must also open the door to other strikes
- 29:10Speaker 5: against seven.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Look responds to that allegation at the US head of
- 29:13Speaker 1: den Run.
- 29:14Speaker 6: They are among the most evil people ever are They.
- 29:17Speaker 5: Cut babies heads off, they chop women in have what
- 29:21Speaker 5: they did? Take a look at October seventh, take a
- 29:23Speaker 5: look at what they've done over the last forty seven years.
- 29:27Speaker 5: So I know nothing about a desalinization plant, other than
- 29:31Speaker 5: to say, if they're complaining about a desalinization plan, we
- 29:35Speaker 5: complain about the fact that they should be chopping babies
- 29:38Speaker 5: heads off.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Okay, So complete deflection there, and then just uses some
- 29:42Speaker 2: of the Israeli like atrocity propaganda.
- 29:45Speaker 1: What does he mean talking about what's what's.
- 29:48Speaker 4: The October seventh?
- 29:49Speaker 2: Yes, and he's claiming that Iran is now behind which
- 29:52Speaker 2: you know, all of the reportings suggests Run had nothing
- 29:54Speaker 2: to do with October seven outside of Hamas obviously being
- 29:57Speaker 2: you know, allies of Theirs. But the yeah, just complete deflection,
- 30:02Speaker 2: uses all of this debunked atrocity propaganda, tries to make
- 30:06Speaker 2: it so that Iran is directly responsible for October seventh,
- 30:09Speaker 2: et cetera. And we're already seeing the consequences of this
- 30:12Speaker 2: new escalatory front. Let's put B two up on the screen.
- 30:15Speaker 2: We now have Iran struck cause material damage to a
- 30:19Speaker 2: desalination plant in Bahrain. First time they say an Arab
- 30:23Speaker 2: country has reported Iran striking a desalination plant. So just
- 30:27Speaker 2: to be clear, US strikes an Iranian desalination plant.
- 30:30Speaker 4: And then they say, okay, all right, game on.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Let's go two can play this game as well. Let's
- 30:36Speaker 2: put B three up on the screen, just so we
- 30:38Speaker 2: can take a measure of how impactful this is. So
- 30:41Speaker 2: these are the countries in the region, listed out here
- 30:45Speaker 2: by their level of dependency on these desalination plants, which
- 30:50Speaker 2: of course convert salt water into fresh water. Okay, the
- 30:54Speaker 2: most dependent ninety percent of their water coming from desalination
- 30:58Speaker 2: plants is Kuwait, then at eighty six percent, Oman, then
- 31:02Speaker 2: it's seventy five percent, Israel, then it's seventy percent, Saudi
- 31:06Speaker 2: at sixty percent, Bahrain, which was just struck, fifty percent,
- 31:09Speaker 2: Katar forty two percent. The UAE and Iran, now they
- 31:14Speaker 2: have some water issues, but it is not nearly the
- 31:17Speaker 2: level of the GCC or Israel only two percent Iran
- 31:22Speaker 2: is The tweet here says three percent dependent on desalination.
- 31:26Speaker 2: The chart says two percent US allies in the region
- 31:28Speaker 2: at forty to ninety percent.
- 31:31Speaker 4: Think about that. Think about that.
- 31:33Speaker 2: If you are whole like Kuwait is basically wholly dependent
- 31:37Speaker 2: on these plants, which are vulnerable at the US, you know,
- 31:40Speaker 2: running out of interceptors and not doing a good job
- 31:42Speaker 2: of defending these allies anyway, and your move is to
- 31:46Speaker 2: attack an Iranian desalination plant, just completely opening up that front. Yeah,
- 31:51Speaker 2: this is extremely dire for these centuries.
- 31:53Speaker 3: I will also raise another one, Are we sure it
- 31:55Speaker 3: was us? Are we sure it was in the Israelis?
- 31:57Speaker 3: Because this is something that they love, right to see
- 31:59Speaker 3: the broad war and then immediately the strike that happened
- 32:02Speaker 3: back on the GCC countries. As we've been talking about,
- 32:05Speaker 3: they don't care at all about the GCC. They would
- 32:07Speaker 3: be happy to see them collapse. Also, if you know,
- 32:09Speaker 3: it's funny, and when I lived in Qatar, all of
- 32:12Speaker 3: the Americans we would always joke because gas was literally
- 32:15Speaker 3: cheaper than water than water, So gas would be like
- 32:18Speaker 3: eighty nine cents a gallon, whereas water would be a
- 32:21Speaker 3: dollar a gallon if you wanted to buy it from
- 32:23Speaker 3: CBS or like some sort of grocery store. That is
- 32:25Speaker 3: how different like things actually are over there, especially for
- 32:29Speaker 3: fresh water. So you can think and just talk about
- 32:32Speaker 3: how you've got only a certain amount of runway whenever
- 32:34Speaker 3: it comes to water desalination. But the bigger point is
- 32:37Speaker 3: about civilian infrastructure. So this strike on the water desalination
- 32:42Speaker 3: plant and the closure of the Straits of Hormuz literally
- 32:45Speaker 3: is a choke point for every single person who lives
- 32:48Speaker 3: in the Gulf, because think about it, You've got everyone
- 32:51Speaker 3: talks about the Straits of Hormos just for oil, but
- 32:54Speaker 3: it's not Remember they have huge you know, food, like
- 32:57Speaker 3: all their food comes in from there. Everything if you've
- 33:00Speaker 3: ever been to these countries, everything is imported.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Literally, there's nothing out there. It's a desert. Yeah, for fresh.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Flood food, so non water sufficient, everything has to be.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Everything is either flown in or shipped in.
- 33:12Speaker 3: And if you two weeks is all they have for
- 33:15Speaker 3: runway whenever it comes to food or water. I mean,
- 33:18Speaker 3: it is a disastrous situation, especially for the civilian populations
- 33:22Speaker 3: of a lot of the not to mention what a
- 33:24Speaker 3: million plus Americans who are all living in the country.
- 33:27Speaker 3: Good luck getting out right now, look to do buy airport.
- 33:29Speaker 3: You know, we're going to show you some of that
- 33:31Speaker 3: stuff later on. I mean, the civilian infrastructure attacks, this
- 33:33Speaker 3: is designed to inflict maximum damage on all of the population.
- 33:37Speaker 1: So it's really dangerous.
- 33:39Speaker 4: And to your.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Point about who did this, so put B six up
- 33:43Speaker 2: on the screen. The Israelis blamed UAE okay Ua is
- 33:48Speaker 2: completely denying this, that they struck this desalination facility, and
- 33:53Speaker 2: they also hit back at what they described is inappropriate
- 33:58Speaker 2: is really conduct, So you know it definitely there is
- 34:02Speaker 2: a full scale disinformation campaign coming from the Israelis. Why
- 34:08Speaker 2: because they don't want this to be a limited conflict.
- 34:12Speaker 2: There incentives are all in the direction of dragging as
- 34:16Speaker 2: many countries into this thing as they possibly can. So
- 34:20Speaker 2: you know, I think given the breadcrumbs here, I think
- 34:23Speaker 2: you're probably right, the most likely suspect here is Israel.
- 34:27Speaker 2: But ultimately it doesn't matter from a you know, whether
- 34:30Speaker 2: it's the US or Israel, because certainly the Iranians blame
- 34:34Speaker 2: us for everything that's being done to them right now,
- 34:37Speaker 2: and you already had We're going to talk to Trita
- 34:39Speaker 2: more about this, but you've already had you know, the
- 34:42Speaker 2: Iranians made this sort of outreach like okay, regional Arab countries,
- 34:47Speaker 2: if you don't attack us, we're not going to attack
- 34:49Speaker 2: you back. Trump immediately comes in and undermines that.
- 34:53Speaker 4: And now you know that very fragile sort of accord.
- 34:57Speaker 2: To limit this and contain the conflict and step back
- 35:00Speaker 2: from escalation chain that has already been completely destroyed. And
- 35:04Speaker 2: clearly Israel here trying to keep that regional escalation going
- 35:08Speaker 2: by saying oh it was UAE. They're denying it and saying,
- 35:11Speaker 2: you know, basically you all are outrageous for the you know,
- 35:16Speaker 2: the disinformation that you're spreading. We can put B seven
- 35:19Speaker 2: up on the screen here as well to see you
- 35:22Speaker 2: know this This analysis senior analyst on Israel, the Crisis
- 35:25Speaker 2: Group says much of what Israel Israeli media is reporting
- 35:28Speaker 2: in Golf States's disinformation appears to be part of an
- 35:31Speaker 2: effort to escalate the war further between Gulf and Iran
- 35:34Speaker 2: and the the you know, I think that's just like
- 35:37Speaker 2: undeniable at this point what they are up to. But
- 35:41Speaker 2: last thing here, put before up on the screen. You
- 35:43Speaker 2: can see the way that the Iranians are reacting. So
- 35:47Speaker 2: this is the Foreign Minister of Iran. He says, the
- 35:50Speaker 2: US committed a blatant and desperate crime by attacking a
- 35:52Speaker 2: freshwater desalination plan on Cusham Island. Water supplying thirty villages
- 35:57Speaker 2: has been impacted. Attacking Iran's infrastructure is dangerous with grave consequences.
- 36:01Speaker 2: The US set this precedent not a run.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why. That's why they already attacked in what
- 36:08Speaker 1: is it in Bahrain?
- 36:09Speaker 4: Bahrain?
- 36:09Speaker 1: And just I mean Bahrain.
- 36:11Speaker 3: Remember where are all those Americans who are in the
- 36:13Speaker 3: Gulf in Bahrain, like in Kuwait? And all of these
- 36:16Speaker 3: countries are massively dependent on these water desalinations. So I
- 36:20Speaker 3: actually think, look, this is a broader war theory, Like
- 36:23Speaker 3: what do you do? Let's go back to the history
- 36:25Speaker 3: of all warfare. It starts out just troop on troop.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Then it's like, well, when you get gridlocked, what do
- 36:31Speaker 3: you do?
- 36:31Speaker 1: Oh?
- 36:32Speaker 3: Well, now we have to wage war on the enemy's
- 36:34Speaker 3: ability to sustain the front. So what do you do?
- 36:37Speaker 3: You no longer care as much about that airpower is
- 36:40Speaker 3: going to go and attack. Remember ball bearing factories and
- 36:43Speaker 3: all of these places of infrastructure that sustained the war effort.
- 36:46Speaker 3: This is what if you think back to World War One,
- 36:48Speaker 3: what do they do? Why did they have unrestricted suburb
- 36:51Speaker 3: or U boat bombing back then to literally make sure
- 36:54Speaker 3: that the Britons couldn't continue the war effort on their
- 36:57Speaker 3: home island, so that they couldn't continue to send food
- 36:59Speaker 3: or supplies to the people who are on the front.
- 37:02Speaker 3: The same things that the Allies did to the Germans.
- 37:04Speaker 3: We would attack their food supplies and all these other
- 37:06Speaker 3: things again same thing. We wanted to cause mass famine
- 37:09Speaker 3: to make sure that the population would stop supporting the war.
- 37:11Speaker 1: This is what total war looks like. The Civil War?
- 37:13Speaker 1: How did it end? Go through Atlanta? Burn everything to
- 37:17Speaker 1: the ground.
- 37:17Speaker 3: This is the problem with sustaining these types of conflicts,
- 37:20Speaker 3: and it's literally a fight literally to the death. And
- 37:22Speaker 3: then you have to say who has the ability and
- 37:25Speaker 3: the will or at the very least the will to
- 37:28Speaker 3: want to fight to the death. I don't even want
- 37:30Speaker 3: to pay fifty cents more per gallon. The number of
- 37:33Speaker 3: American dead for me is already it's seven too high.
- 37:36Speaker 3: Who are confirmed? Who knows what the real number is?
- 37:38Speaker 3: So for the rest of us, we're out here being like, oh,
- 37:40Speaker 3: diesel five dollars a gallon, huge disruption to our life.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Jet fuel is going up. Anybody who wants to fly
- 37:46Speaker 1: by the way.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Our Asian allies are getting hammered, you know, the South
- 37:49Speaker 3: Korean and the South Korean index is down fifteen percent
- 37:52Speaker 3: over the last five days. They're getting destroyed because all
- 37:55Speaker 3: their oil comes from the Straits and hormones. The Japanese
- 37:58Speaker 3: ninety percent of their oil comes from the Middle East.
- 38:00Speaker 3: The n K two twenty Vivee I checked this morning
- 38:02Speaker 3: is down like nine percent over the last five days.
- 38:04Speaker 3: They're getting hammered the entire world for what for literally nothing,
- 38:08Speaker 3: And then you've got interceptor stocks that are all following
- 38:11Speaker 3: civilian infrastructure.
- 38:13Speaker 1: This is textbook for how a war.
- 38:14Speaker 3: For any war which doesn't initially find smashing success in
- 38:18Speaker 3: the first couple of days, it has to expand it
- 38:20Speaker 3: doesn't have a choice by strategic logic, I mean theoretically
- 38:23Speaker 3: you do, which is to say, oh my god, this
- 38:25Speaker 3: is a horrible idea.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Trump's not going to do that.
- 38:27Speaker 3: And even if you wanted to do that, Israel is
- 38:29Speaker 3: not going to let him at this point. And even
- 38:30Speaker 3: if they did, then what are the Iranians just going
- 38:32Speaker 3: to say, yeah, okay, they're like no, no, no, We're not
- 38:34Speaker 3: done with you yet.
- 38:35Speaker 2: And normalizing those attacks on civilian infrastructure. That is to
- 38:40Speaker 2: Aron's benefit because this is the sort of stuff that's
- 38:43Speaker 2: very easy to attack with the drone, right and you know,
- 38:46Speaker 2: so this is a game they can play all day long.
- 38:50Speaker 2: And so what have you accomplished so far in this war?
- 38:52Speaker 2: You have a you know, decapitated the head of the regime.
- 38:57Speaker 2: Now you've got a harder line person who has been
- 39:00Speaker 2: named as the supreme leader, the son of the previous
- 39:03Speaker 2: iatola who just had his whole family murdered by you.
- 39:05Speaker 2: So congratulations, You've got another company who is more hardline
- 39:09Speaker 2: than the previous one who's now in charge. Okay, you've
- 39:11Speaker 2: likely unified actually the Iranian people behind this government, given
- 39:15Speaker 2: that they are under siege and under attack. You have
- 39:18Speaker 2: now your economy being destroyed in real time, I mean
- 39:22Speaker 2: true threat of like a global depression situation already, just
- 39:27Speaker 2: with the closure of the Strait of Hormus you are
- 39:29Speaker 2: now in. You have failed to accomplish whatever the goals are,
- 39:33Speaker 2: not that you've been real clear about what those goals,
- 39:35Speaker 2: even are, so it kind of makes them unaccomplishable. But
- 39:38Speaker 2: you have not collapsed the regime. There isn't civil war.
- 39:42Speaker 2: There is not certainly a regime change. You do not
- 39:45Speaker 2: have control of the nuclear materials. They continue to be
- 39:48Speaker 2: able to, you know, to strike within Israel. I'm seeing
- 39:51Speaker 2: lots of reports this morning about attacks from Iran in
- 39:54Speaker 2: Israel and also on GCC member states as well. So
- 39:59Speaker 2: and now you're in sort of this bind where you're
- 40:02Speaker 2: very likely to end up sending ground troops in and
- 40:04Speaker 2: having many, many more Americans dead. That is what's been
- 40:08Speaker 2: accomplished quote unquote so far in this war. It could
- 40:12Speaker 2: not be more of a cluster like it's just an
- 40:15Speaker 2: absolute disaster and very hard to see how we get
- 40:19Speaker 2: out of this anytime soon because Trump, you know, there
- 40:23Speaker 2: are no good options for Trump to walk away. And
- 40:24Speaker 2: as I said before, even if Trump tried to walk away,
- 40:27Speaker 2: not at all clear that the Iranians would be like, Okay, good,
- 40:30Speaker 2: let's let's go back to the way things were, because
- 40:32Speaker 2: they know that they would just be courting another attack
- 40:34Speaker 2: yet again in the future.
