- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: Not a lot of news today, but I don't know if you saw this.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_02]: This is kind of old news.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_02]: Jonah Coleman making the rounds at the rookie premiere last week where in the sunset orange uniform full on decked out with helmet and everything looks dope.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I actually tweeted about that not long before the podcast and I thought that was one of the hardest rookie premiere videos I can recall and I'm not just saying that because he's a brako or because I like the player I just think it was tremendous production, but it's really cool seeing him rock the number rock the jersey chat and it gave me more positive vibes for Jonah Coleman in his rookie season.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_02]: Me too, man.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_02]: And there's a lot of hype surrounding Jonah Coleman.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_02]: And I think for the most part it's deserve, but we're going to talk more about that here in a little bit tonight first things first.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_02]: We have a great superstar segment for everybody.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to be speaking with here in just a moment.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: Michaela aka the Duchess Parker who's been a key member of this community dating back What's that six seven years how long's it been coming up on seven years it's something like that as long as we've been doing the YouTube live stream thing Michaela's been a part of it in a huge huge part of why we're still here and so let's bring her on and talk to her right now in the flesh here She is Michaela Parker in the house.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: How are you Duchess?
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: Doing good
- 1:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's it's great to see you guys.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_02]: We're doing good first things first.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_02]: How you feeling about the meet and greet being week three against the Rams I'm stoked.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: I like it's a little game too.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the night game.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: Something difference been a while since we had a late game.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's been a minute.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: But let's let's get to the elephant in the room.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: We're talking about this.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: Well, first Sam Ben jumping in.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for the great to see another dear members.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_02]: Sam's going to be on the show a few weeks.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_02]: He's got a message saying, even in guys, hope it's a great week for everyone.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back to the show.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: McKayla the Duchess.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_02]: Great to have you on the podcast as always.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_02]: He says go Broncos.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Sam.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_02]: good to see you pal.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_02]: But let's talk about the elephant in the room and that is the schedule drop.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: You've in the chat, you know, we were live the night it dropped and then so Thursday night and then yesterday, you've expressed some misgivings, a little anxiety.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_02]: How are you feeling about things now that it's been a few, you know, you've had a few days to kind of chew on it.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I had a few days to chew on it.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if I think of it, I mean, it is kind of, we knew who we gonna play.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: So that was a give me.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: The question was when, right?
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: and at least I mean, maybe it's incentive for us to get a good start instead of starting slow like normal.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if we get past that initial six games and I mean, we should be good,
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I have to ask you you brought up the first six games the one that jumps out to me like everybody else is that week one game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Kansas City Monday night How do you see that game going personally and how do you see the Broncos opening the season?
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think we actually gonna win that game, happy.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I really like that.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's actually in Arrowhead.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: Instead of going late in the season, it's a normal place for bad weather, a swirling winds.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: At least you get a good weather.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: It'll be my home's first game back.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: at a barocos win.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think I mean, it's going to be a close game and because it keeps yeah, I've achieved regardless, but I think we're going to win it.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, even last season, late.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: Right, when we were at Arrowhead and they didn't have Patrick Mahomes still a close game.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's always going to be a close game against games, but how are you feeling about this NFC West Slay to Games, especially with three of them?
- 4:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, three of them, well, wait, when's the Arizona Cardinal Games week seven?
- 4:59[SPEAKER_02]: Are all four NFC West games is just hit me now?
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: Are all four games in the first eight weeks?
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_02]: Brutal, Brutal, I mean, you get the reprieve of the Cardinals week seven, but how are you feeling about the way they arranged the order in which, you know, you got the, the rams in week three, and then it just gets kind of continues getting tougher from there.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, honestly, I, the game really concerns me is the rams.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they're high powered.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there are the favorites to win the Super Bowl, according to most sites and stuff.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'm not too scared about the sea hawks.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not concerned about the rest of them.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not really too worried about it.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_02]: What which which which game is more get your dander up for this one boys and girls the home game against Seattle defending world champs or on the road at the Niners.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: Seattle.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, I'm kind of actually looking forward to the 49ers game.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it is.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's almost like a family game, you know?
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: So true.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: And also another thing about that game, 49ers are always hurt.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't worry about it.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we know what that feels like.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_02]: We went through that for a lot of years.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_02]: We got the lady D checking in here with a message for you, Michaela.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, dee.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_02]: Great to see Diana, Hendry checking in.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_02]: She was just on the show last week.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_02]: She says hi Chad Zach and Michaela with a very generous super chat.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_02]: She says super happy the Michaela is on again.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: Got my tickets for the meet and greet super excited.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_02]: Can't wait to see everyone.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: Hashtag image is for life.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_02]: really looking forward to that.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be fun.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_02]: A night game, uh, and against a quality opponent.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's going to be a good game.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'm scared about it, but that's a out of a whole schedule.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's the game that scares me the most.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the Rams more so than the
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I was going to say we'll have all the royalty there.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: At least we'll have Michaela.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: We'll have Diana.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: We'll have all the superstars out of the mean group.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_01]: I can't wait to see you guys out there.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: Winter lose.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think the brokers are going to win, but I think it's going to be a very, very entertaining game.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: I I wasn't a bring up Seattle though, Chad, just because of the Broncos recent history against them.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's to me would be the game that I'm circling, but also game against Kyle Shanahan NFC favorites every year.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know though, Michaela, did I get your schedule prediction?
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like what's your final record prediction for the Broncos?
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: Given everything.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_02]: I might way too early prediction and I'm going to, you know, I reserve the right as always each and every year to tweak this when it gets a little bit closer the season as we see how things are shaping up not only with the Broncos, but just other teams on the sketch, but way too early prediction 13 and for that's maybe a little bullish.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_02]: I admit, am I being too optimistic, Michaela, you're saying 12 wins.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm saying 13.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: The good thing about getting the top of the steams out of the way, you know, El Pushus, if we can get through it, we can be there anybody.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: The refiner's fire, I mean, even if they come out of those, let's just call it the first eight weeks.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: Because really, the only reprieve the Broncos get in the first eight weeks is that week seven trip to the desert for the Cardinals.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_02]: And it's a road game.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_02]: So, you never know.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I got that as a pretty handy win for the Broncos, but still by the time they come out of those first eight weeks, even if they come out of it, you know, under 500.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to be a sharp tool by that point ready to make the most I think of that middle stretch of their schedule, which, you know, Panthers, then you got a buy, then all the games against the Raiders, you got the jets, you got the dull things.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_02]: Go from there.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: Michaela, why have you on here?
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure I'll talk to you about it at the meet and greet, but tell me how you feel genuinely about Bonaix.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: Are you worried about his comeback?
- 10:11[SPEAKER_01]: Are you nervous?
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: Are you confident that he'll be a, okay, come a week one?
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not worried about it.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, honestly, looking at it whenever you, you have anything broken and that puts screws and a plate in, you have to go back in, especially if you are an athlete, you know, clean up, remove the screws, because otherwise you end up having further issues
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, when my mother broke her leg, she had to have a plate put in, and she had to have follow-up surgery to remove the screw and stuff like that.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think he'll be fine.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_02]: I'm looking forward to it.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about the draft.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: I know by this point, you know, it's a few weeks in the rear view mirror, but still, how are you feeling about the draft class?
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: No first round pick.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: No second round of this year.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_02]: How are you feeling about it overall?
- 11:15[SPEAKER_02]: And who was your favorite pick?
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: Well, uh, get this out of a way.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: First, being first.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: We did have a first round pick that was, uh, wild.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: Second wrong pick doesn't bother me.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: There was really nobody worthy to them as over for second wrong pick.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: Why not get extra pick, you know, and I mean, I don't mind our fur wrong pick, I forget his name.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's definitely a pig for the future.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to be an impact.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to be an immediate impact, but he's going to be maybe next year.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_02]: You never know.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I don't know.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think it, uh, Jonah Coleman then, uh, read, uh, read, uh, read Murdoch.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be fun.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know if the read Murdoch will make the team, but he's like a tricky player.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, for sure.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is all the straps.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he said a record.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, football is football.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_02]: FBS record.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_02]: The X-17's force fumbles.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_02]: You were saying.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this kind of ties in what I wanted to ask you, Michaela, obviously aside from jail and water, what's up?
- 13:10[SPEAKER_01]: One player that you're excited to see in 2026.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: Bounix doesn't count, but, uh, damn.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think I'm excited to see him, I mean, injuries outside.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's a quality running back.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and he just has such a bum deal, right?
- 13:39[SPEAKER_02]: So it's such unfortunate injury.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: I'm lucky, I guess.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_02]: but he says this is the year I'll I'm done with all the unfortunate stuff you watch.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_02]: How do you feel about that?
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, hopefully maybe he'll stay healthy, but at least we have a backup plan this year.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_02]: True.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_02]: True.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_02]: Jonah Coleman ready to rock and roll.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: And he looks good in orange.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he looks, yoke.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: That's for sure.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_02]: That's for sure.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Michaela, as always, we love having you on the show.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: And thank you for bringing your insights live with us here tonight and being part of the show.

- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: Bye.

- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: Zach, Deacon Scott, and the Duchess, great to see royalty on the screen.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, she's, she sounds right now, Zach, very kind of even killed about the schedule.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: Like whatever anxieties
- 15:43[SPEAKER_02]: washed over initially now it's like okay well hey it is what it is now it's time to just take it one game at a time
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's kind of why I wanted to ask her face to face so to speak.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_01]: How she feels about the brakos and bonyx and it does she have any genuine concern because she's aired some of that in the comments and I know she's going to listen back to this if she's not already right now.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just so happy that she doesn't feel worried or nervous about the season.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: She's I think genuinely confident for what I know about her and it's so great to hear from a Kayla as always.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: I want to say again, thank you so much for all you do.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: Amen.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: Amen to that guys.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, we see a lot of stuff stacking up here in the chat real quick a shout out to George Fox.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you, buddy.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you being on YouTube with us tonight, brother.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_02]: He's a traditionally a Facebook or making the move over.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_02]: David Youngkin to dear member and he's saying that we'll depend on the play calling and we're going to talk more about that.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_02]: David here in just a few moments.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_02]: the things that need to go right in order for the Broncos to weather this early season schedule Kirsten Bailey drummer what's going on at dear member of Superstar and she says I'm excited to see miles given the mile high salute after we see six points.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_02]: with water.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for the great show as always boys.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Kirsten.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_02]: And hope the beats are going well for you and everything's rocking and rolling in your band.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: So great to hear from you tonight.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, we got a lot, lot more, lot more to get to.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_02]: But first things first real quick, listen up you guys, when we first started the MHH March Store way back in 2019,
- 17:19[SPEAKER_02]: guys, we were not sure if it was the right call, everyone has the thoughts like, hey, you know, what if this doesn't work, what if nobody buys anything, or if it fails?
- 17:27[SPEAKER_02]: And it's never easy to overcome such uncertainty, but choosing to make the leap and launch the merch store was one of the best decisions MHH has made.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_02]: And when we were launching the MHH merch store, you've heard us talk about it before, but we're bringing it back to your attention, Shopify, help ease so many of those
- 17:46[SPEAKER_02]: and easy to use platform.

- 18:52[SPEAKER_02]: All right, we go back to the conversation at hand.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_02]: Zach, I want to, for we get back to some more halos, let's get to some more content here.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_02]: And,
- 19:03[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Zach, last night I wrote an article that published this morning that was basically hey, man, let's take a look at this six week schedule, the first six weeks, really the first day weeks, let's say the first half of the season.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_02]: What has to go right for the Broncos in order for them to overcome that early onslaught?
- 19:23[SPEAKER_02]: And I want your thoughts on this first things, first
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: Sean Payton, it was o and three with Russ.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: So it was first year in Denver, o and three.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_02]: And this slow start things act stretches back to obviously a lot of his years in New Orleans, but keeping it with the Broncos, o and three and twenty twenty three and then one and two each season with Bonyx.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_02]: How do you feel about the Broncos being able to start faster this time around?
- 19:47[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think as we talked about yesterday, I think you brought it up, which was a good point that having quality opponents will like you say get their dander up and they really can't afford to take their foot off the gas pedal as opposed if it if they got like a Raiders match up week one or dolphins and week two.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: knowing they're going to be on the grand stages in primetime, knowing they're facing the elite of the lead and the best of the best, and they're going to be measured up against them.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think we'll help them in that respect, but that problem is also not unique to the Broncos.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of teams around the NFL struggle to start fast early in the season, but it's a problem that Sean Payton has had, and I think this year will be different because the quality of the opponent off the bat is just so strong.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's, uh, oh, here we go.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_02]: We got Michaela jumping in on super chat.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: Amazing.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Michaela.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: Open us with the content.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_02]: Helping us keep the lights on in more ways than one.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_02]: She says, thank you for having me.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: I had a blast.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: Love you all.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we love you too.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_02]: That's a fact.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_02]: And we had we hadn't really looking forward to this this episode with you in our conversation.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_02]: So great having you and looking forward to seeing you.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_02]: It feels like it's a long time from now.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_02]: Zach, but it'll be here before we know it.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: These podcasts will help us kind of pass the time.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I say it every year, but I mean that this year genuinely, it could be the best meet and greet yet.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_01]: It certainly could be the best game yet we've hosted for the meet and greet.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: Although, I don't know, it's tough to top all the giants come back from last year.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: Regardless, we're going to have, like I said, all the royalty, McKayla, Danna, all of you guys out there.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: I can't wait to see you all.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: I can't wait for the fall.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: And thank you so much, McKayla.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_01]: Again, as always.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's weird when we circled giants on the schedule last year, it was simply a matter of convenience.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_02]: As early in the schedules, we could get the actual event and then also kind of around when we could get the most number of staff members podcast host available for the event.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: And it just worked out to be the giants in guys.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, sitting through that first three quarters
- 21:49[SPEAKER_02]: The MHH meet and greet, the winning juju is we're going to be looking at maybe two losses in a row because we lost the year prior with the Steelers game is like, oh, man, and then out of nowhere is that could that epic historic fourth quarter come back that is just etched in my brain forever and I'm sure everybody else is, but if you were there, especially it was like,
- 22:10[SPEAKER_02]: absolutely electric.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_02]: It was magic.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like that was like myelhyme magic is officially restored re-conjured.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks to Bonax, John Peyton, and everybody in Denver.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: And nothing will ever convince me that demerious Thomas.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: God rest his soul Chad didn't have something to do with that.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know what they're honoring him and everything.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: It was two who went to that old with the numbers, aligning and everything.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_02]: What a game.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_02]: What an experience.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_02]: Demerious and then of course honor in the entire Super Bowl 50 team who came out at halftime and yeah, a little thing.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_02]: So a lot of juju like you could tell they were trying to, even though it was the Giants game and again,
- 22:46[SPEAKER_02]: Sitting here at this time last year, it looked like an easy win for the Broncos.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, but still, when they schedule those alumni games, Zach, man, you really hope the team shows up better than the way the Broncos did.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_02]: And then all of a sudden, just when you were like sure, not this, they failed to bow up and meet the, meet the challenge, all of a sudden, kaboom.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there was like three times in the fourth quarter where I set myself all this games over.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: And then I saw, oh, we're going to win this game and this game's over.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: It was, again, I'll never forget that while this football game I have ever attended by far my life.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_02]: Ever.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: All right, real quick here.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_02]: We'll come back to the chat.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: But Zach, keeping it on the things that need to go right to start this season.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_02]: We talked about a faster start.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_02]: Zach, I think one of the keys here is Davis Webb as a first time play caller and a guy
- 23:35[SPEAKER_02]: a proven known kind of legend, play caller, Sean Peyton.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_02]: Davis Webb has to be a hit.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think in order for the Broncos to withstand this onslaught, what do you think?
- 23:47[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, for the sake of coverage, I don't want to seem like I'm contradicting you, Chad, because I agree with the premise and ultimately overall, I don't think he has to be a hit, though, just to like, for the sake of conversation like I said, I just think he has to not be a failure.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: I just think he has to not fall flat on his face and just keep the offense of float, let Bonyx do his thing get jailed and waddle the ball, stapples the run and everything will be okay.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's the only amendment I have to that point.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_01]: Otherwise, I agree.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's why we do the podcast like if we always agreed on every, you know, period and punctuation point and everything, it would be boring content for everybody.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: So no, that's that's perfectly fine and I think you got a fair point, but
- 24:28[SPEAKER_02]: against this step up and competition, you got the first place schedule like, I just don't think, yes, you got the old line coming back and you've got what is likely to be against that could top defense.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't think status quo's gonna be enough.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_02]: Like I think the offense, bonics, we'll talk more about him in a minute, but just generally speaking, Davis Webb was a big move.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_02]: Even though I don't think it boiled down to an ultimatum like where it was like, oh, we got to give him play calling duties that we're going to lose him.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_02]: Champagne had his reasons and just the fact that he's given him the opportunity.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_02]: As I talked about last night's act is a huge boat of confidence, like just the fact that Champagne sees someone else in the league, let alone a guy on his staff that he would rather have calm plays on offense than him.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's huge, huge boat of confidence, but man, I think going against these quarterbacks on this slate, like him and Bonaix, baby,
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: I do wonder what the status quo would have looked like, because that's the only thing we can empirically draw on right now, Chad is the 2025 film.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't seen the 20216 Broncos in action.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_01]: So I wonder what the status quo would have looked like if they had a running game like McHale was talking about, or they had a receiver like Jalen Waddle, or they had another tight-end like Justin Jolie, for example.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: So the status quo, and we don't know what that looks like it, that might be enough to compete against these teams, but it might not be, that's something that will be determined
- 25:51[SPEAKER_02]: Fair point, I think status quo still would be the Broncos just like we saw to end last season like, and throughout the season, not just to end the season, like they can contend with anybody they can go up against anybody and come out on top, have a good chance of coming out on top.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_02]: But like, this schedule, man, it's a tough cookie to open things up.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_02]: All right, the other thing here, there's a few more, but Zach, how important is Jalen Waddle impacting early to the Broncos, really weather in the onslaught?
- 26:19[SPEAKER_01]: huge.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_01]: You don't give up a first round pick for receiver.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: Take on that contract chat, make them the focal point of your passing offense and then have like 25 30 yard receiving efforts.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: I understand he's going to have some of those games.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: You can't have 300 yards every game, but you brought him into be that playmaker to be the explosive game changer.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he better be that considering, again, the price that you paid.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that's a very fair point.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's not all on him, but he's a major major piece of what the Broncos hope to do on offense.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_02]: All right, just some halos real quick in the chat to the members.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_02]: We got the Papa Bears in good evening.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos Country and McKayla, 13 and 4 plus plus plus plus plus plus.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_02]: Like we're winning the World Baby World Championship is what Papa Bears talking about here.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_02]: And I love it.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_02]: Shout out Sue Gibson's in the house.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_02]: Glenn Ashley, the rock is in the house.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: Glenn says, good morning, everybody.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_02]: In special guest, of course, McKayla.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_02]: Rock saying this is why Broncos Country best fans in the NFL
- 27:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, sir.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: Sam Bam again.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for that super chat.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_02]: Lady D. Legendary figures.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_02]: Roy Osmore and good to see you big dog and other member M. Blacks.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: Always here to party.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: Love it, dude.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you pal.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: will come we'll look for some topics and questions in the chat here in a second and by the way Sam this was we figured it out this was the fourth time Michaela had been on the show superstar segment so number four overall for the Duchess which I think might be currently the record most most appearances on the show.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_02]: All right Zach in terms of what also needs to go right for the Broncos to whether the
- 28:02[SPEAKER_02]: I contend Zach Run game has to step up and this is not just you know running back thing offensive wine thing is a scheme thing a play calling thing from Davis website so they're multiple moving parts and aspects to this particular point or key Zach but really we need to see JK Dobbins return to the form that we saw before he got hurt last year and then also man RJ you got to show I mean Eric wrote about this today.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_02]: He had a very poor, as much as he succeeded as a pass catcher out of the backfield, very good goal line, find the end zone running back as well, Russia.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: From a down to down perspective, he had one of the worst rushing success rates amongst NFL running backs last season, just from a down to down basis.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: Now sometimes he would go boom for you, right?
- 28:51[SPEAKER_02]: He'd give you the 50 yard, big player, the 40 yard, big play on a carry and I mean,
- 28:58[SPEAKER_02]: Defenses have to worry about keeps him on their heels a little bit, but RJ Harvey's got to take a step forward and then we'll see exactly how Jonah Coleman factors into what he's already styled Zach a three headed monster.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I like the way you put that there step up and not just take over the offense or put all the pressure on the running game, they do need to be better and more consistent.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's the best word reliable.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: Again, they don't have to break off 10 yards of carry, but I don't want two yards in the cloud of dust either.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of that is JK Dobbins staying healthy.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of that too chat is the offensive line being consistent and reliable and opening up those holes.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of linemen, I'm not naming any names.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_01]: I've been powers, but they struggle sometimes in run blocking.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see more consistency out of that group as well.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_02]: Fair, Clayton, good to see you, palies, reminding everybody, smash the like button and share guys while you're with us, especially hit that like button, good to see.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, Skull Zapata checking in on Facebook too.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_02]: And finally, get to catch you guys live.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_02]: I work third shift and always catch the show while I'm working.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: Y'all have become my favorite Broncos podcast show.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_02]: dude, great to hear.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks, buddy, awesome to have you with us tonight.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_02]: Shout out bigger and who I saw at a different point here.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos Country only 15 and 2's bigger and prediction.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I like it.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: I like it dude.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_02]: Clayton says I'm not worried at all.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_02]: Bottom line, we have the best roster in depth in the NFL.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: 14 to 15 win season he's saying.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_02]: of man from your lips to the ears of the football gods big dog let's hope that is exactly how it shakes out Glenn says 13 of fours the floor fam this season we run the scores up and most victories are double digits love the finish to the schedule running into the playoffs to lock him load he says that it's time to hunt.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I almost feel guilty for not sharing the, uh, overt optimism and Broncos country, at least in the in the audience tonight, Chad and I'm not trying to crap on it.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: Not at all.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: I love seeing it.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: It feels me with, uh, with just energy for the season.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I don't know that I'm quite there yet.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_01]: Glenn is saying 13 and four is the floor.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: It might be the ceiling.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: Considering how how much parity reigns supreme in this business.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_01]: I have 12 and 5.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen 11 and 6 predictions, but nothing really worse than that.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_01]: And again, this I'll repeat the point as I made yesterday.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: If the worst we can conjure up for the Broncos in a modern Broncos season is 11 and 6.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: God, they've come a long way and that feels good in itself.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's for sure.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, how long did this team go without double digit wins?
- 31:27[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, what was it nine years 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 eight years.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_02]: So the exact same number of missed playoffs after the Super Bowl without double digit wins.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_02]: And you know what if it's 11 wins if it's 12 wins.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think that could still be enough to win the F.C.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_02]: West this season, guys.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_02]: Bec, it might not be enough to get the number one seed like they had last year, but it would be enough to guarantee a spot in the playoffs as division champions in my opinion, just because F.C.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_02]: West does not have it easy this season.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the two divisions that the F.C.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_02]: West is playing, F.C.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_02]: East and NFC West put five teams in the playoffs last year.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and listen, I don't want to say the Broncos shouldn't shoot for the one seed because they should every single season, but I don't necessarily think they have to get it in order to make some noise in the postseason or maybe even make the Super Bowl advanced where they ended this past season, as long as I feel like they have that clutch gene bone mixes healthy everything is humming just get in to the postseason and anything can happen from there.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: William check it in from London says give me a small roundup of this week, anything exciting, not much exciting brother other than the schedule drop.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that was that was big.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: That's happened inside the past week.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_02]: That was Thursday night other than that.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_02]: Just kind of some sensationalism.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_02]: We talked a little bit about this last night, but Colin cow herd of fox sports in the herd.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_02]: uh... postulating a conspiracy theories act that the NFL because you look at that just how tough that schedule is i mean again we knew the opponents like me kala talked about at the top of the show we've known since january's hack who the opponents are we just didn't know which order the broncos would have to face them and calling cowherd talking about how he thinks
- 33:15[SPEAKER_02]: the order in which the schedule makers shook out for the Broncos is evidence that they got it out for Sean Payton, like they're trying to punish him basically, which to me, like I understand the sentiment, Zach, but I just don't know how you structure that within the petty, that pettyness within the demands of trying to structure and balance a schedule for 32 teams over
- 33:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's going to come off crazy that I'm saying it just sounds too hyperbolic to conspiratorial chat.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't buy too much into that.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_01]: William though we also did an ounce.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you heard at the meet and greet date this season week three brocos versus Rams.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's on around the corner for you, but we'd love to see you out there if you could make it.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_02]: Wrong.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_02]: See this is awesome.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_02]: He says I still have my Broncos for breakfast mug with Scott and Nick's names on it.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_02]: That's a vintage piece baby.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's something that is a piece of mhh and therefore Broncos history.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_02]: So that's really cool man.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: Hold on to that bad boy.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_02]: The Dutch is jumping in again, Michaela Parker with a second super chat.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_02]: After joining us, she says, I'll have a good thing about the schedule.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_02]: The chargers have just as hard a schedule as we do, we can do it.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, the chargers have it pretty, pretty gnarly.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_02]: We went over it a little bit last night, Zach, but the chief schedule.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_02]: is not easy either.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: And I mean, they're drawn a third place schedule, right?
- 34:37[SPEAKER_02]: They finished third in the AFC West and what's different about their schedule compared to the Broncos, like the Broncos, they're playing a first place schedule, but because they're getting the AFC East just like all the other AFC West teams and the NFC West is at, you know, they got to play the Patriots.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_02]: uh... they got to play the bills and then on top of that they got to play do the chiefs uh... the bangles and i thought i saw ravens last night right ravens aren't they on here somewhere maybe i'm thinking of the chargers schedule uh... yet chargers got the ravens the chiefs that have the uh... bangles who could be good this year
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: And we have to also keep in mind that chargers are always going to charge or the raiders are always going to be the raiders.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, really, you only have to worry about my homes and the chiefs.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_01]: But even then, the Broncos prove last season and even in parts of 2024, they can conquer the mighty Kansas City chiefs.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I expect them to do that starting in week one.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: Keep the faith, Michaela, and thank you again.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, beyond the AFC East and NFC West teams, the Chargers also have to play the Ravens.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_02]: They got to play the Houston Texans, and then they also have to play Tampa who could end up being a good team again this year.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_02]: Like they were a good team last season that just under achieved, but they could be one of those bounceback teams with Baker in 2026.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_02]: So, good points.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Michaela.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_02]: All right, guys, we go back to the conversation at hand and Zach, there's one last thing here that I wanted to talk about in terms of what has to go right and we could even go way beyond this like we could break it down to the micro level right but terms of the big ones the last thing that has to go right.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_02]: Michaela kind of hinted at it when we were talking about an opponent on this schedule earlier, but that is Brocco's got to stay healthy, you know, and this season, I think it's even more important because of how things ended for the Brocco's last year with two key guys going down and how it really
- 36:37[SPEAKER_02]: affected the product on the field.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_02]: And the first one, of course, being JK Dobbins, losing him in week 10.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos were able to still kind of forge ahead because they were so strong everywhere else and they were so good in the clutch.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_02]: They were able to overcome that.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_02]: But again, RJ Harvey.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_02]: was not ready Zach to be the bell cow and they have some insurance this time in the form of Jonah Coleman and they do expect RJ to take another step forward, but that definitely affected the bottom line.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_02]: So to speak, and then of course, the ultimate dagger, bone next, losing bow, everything went up and smoke right on the doorstep of the Super Bowl.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_02]: So kind of goes without saying when you're talking about Zach, I acknowledge when you're talking about a team's outlook and how they succeed.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: It kind of goes without saying that Stan healthy's got to be a big part of that,
- 37:21[SPEAKER_02]: Here's to hope in that the Broncos good fortune on this front for the most part.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_02]: They've had their moments, but since Sean Peyton arrives at...
- 37:29[SPEAKER_02]: they, he's turned around that aspect of this team, which for the preceding four years, walking wounded, right?
- 37:35[SPEAKER_02]: One key player after another, not just like out for a gamer to out for the season.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_02]: So stay healthy this season is my point here.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: And that in and of itself, like even if none of the other points we talked about tonight, go perfectly according to the ideal potential outcome, stay in healthy, give them every chance to win each and every one of these games.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: And that's largely out of their control.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: So much of the NFL and success in the NFL is about lock and staying healthy and the war of a trisha and all that shed.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, that's an obvious point and it's true.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_01]: And the Brock was have done better with staying healthy.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_01]: But if there's going to be an injury, I feel like I would rather get it out of the way in the first six weeks, four weeks, whatever of the season to give a player a chance to come back as opposed to happening after.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: We got Lady D, jumping in again off the top row.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, geez, that almost startled me, Mr. Perdius, or I'm like, what's going on here?
- 38:30[SPEAKER_02]: Lady D, much love and respect.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much for a second very generous super chat.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we love you.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_02]: She says, I'm thinking that we win five of the first six games.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: Then we're off to the races.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_02]: Till we're in the Super Bowl.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_02]: I have faith in this team.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_02]: She says, I'm saying 12 and five.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_02]: My opinion, we've got the chiefs, but the chargers are who I worry more about.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: hit like, share, and subscribe.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: Hashtag images for life.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for that last message there.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_02]: And reminder, lady D. And I think she's she's got a fair point here, Zack.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like the Broncos swept the chiefs last season.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_02]: And then they split with them in each of the preceding two seasons since Sean Peyton arrived.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_02]: But Jim Harbaugh is three and one against Sean Peyton.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_02]: As the chargers head coach and the only loss was the one game he chose to sit just in Herbert.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_01]: the good thing is for Deanna and thank you so much as always lady D you have as many trophies in your trophy case as the Chargers do so again I'm not too concerned about them they're always going to charge you in the end people can hype up just in Herbert and Jim Harba but they're always I think going to just choke it all choke it away in the end so we have to focus on what we focus on whoever's in front of us and not worry about the teams around us
- 39:50[SPEAKER_01]: massive success.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like considering everything, considering the schedule and how difficult these teams are going to be and how much every other team improved around the Broncos as well.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: But I also have faith and I just find myself nodding in agreement once more with one of your insights.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Deanna.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_02]: How much, I mean, what are the odds that you really think that last season was just turning of the tide and the chiefs are just on the downturn?
- 40:14[SPEAKER_02]: Or do you think it wasn't out by
- 40:17[SPEAKER_02]: Are the chiefs going to kind of return back to the mean in which they've existed over the preceding several years with my homes as the guy which drafted in 17, but the guy since 2018.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the problem is they set such a high bar in the first couple of years in the Mahomes era that anything they do short of winning a Super Bowl dominantly chat at that is considered a failure.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: So I think it's going to end up a little bit in the middle.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they're going to return to their diagnostic state anytime soon, but I don't think they're going to be a four-wind team with Mahomes under center either.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be competitive each and every season, each and every game against the Broncos and the Broncos are going to have to bring it for all fourth quarters, both times.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, baby.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_02]: And let's not forget, Bonyx has yet to lose to Mahomes in Denver.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_02]: Finally got a win at Arrowhead last year, first one since 2015.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: Do you guys remember that week two game, 2015, when Brandon Marshall popped the ball out on Jamal Charles and there was the scoop and Broncos managed to basically come from behind and were it not for that.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_02]: face palm fumble on Charles part, they were probably losing that game.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: That was the last win the Broncos had at Arrowhead until Christmas day just barely in December.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_02]: But let's not forget that it was without my homes.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_01]: That was Broncos legend Bradley Roby scooping it up and scoring wasn't not Chad.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, chiefs came.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_01]: What a team man.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's 2015 team was absolutely loaded so many likeable characters and we look back on them finally.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_01]: But we're in a new era now and I think the Broncos are going to keep it going starting in week one at Arrowhead and I'm getting that dope.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you again, Diana.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: And again, the Broncos earn this.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_02]: They're getting exactly what they deserve.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: And that is a shot to measure up against the best of the best.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_02]: And this year just so happens just by not so much luck, but just the way the schedules rotate, they're getting the AFC East and the NFC West.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_02]: So Phil jumping in as well again, lady D, we love you.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_02]: Phil saying, guys, with Dobbins, Harvey, and Coleman sharing the handoffs, what do you think will be the rotation count?
- 42:28[SPEAKER_02]: Dobbins averaged basically, you know, when he was in the line up, he averaged 15 carries per game.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_02]: And then RJ would come in and usually somewhere between three and seven before Dobbins got hurt and so I think Coleman, you know, yeah, he's the ultimate insurance policy, but you don't want to just keep him on ice, right, you don't just want to wait until you absolutely have to use him to use him, they'll be using him out of the gates.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_02]: The question is as Phil Sane here, Zack, how much, how do you see that unfolding?
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have an exact number yet.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_01]: I would say though that I see JK getting the lion share of the carries as the lead back and Coleman getting the lion share carries as the RB2.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think RJ Harvey Chad is going to be used more as a third down Darren Sproul's pass catching back kind of a gadget player.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_01]: and leaving the backup rushing duties to Jonah Coleman.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know about the exact count.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_01]: Phil, I do know that as long as he's healthy, J.K. will be getting the majority of the touches.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_02]: That's for sure.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_02]: Feel good to see on Facebook and then check in and also I've seen over the last week or so on on X and including tonight.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: So good to see it tonight, brother.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_02]: I want to grab this from a storm blast who says football season couldn't get here any sooner.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: It's so boring when there's no Broncos football on also Jonah looking good in the orange uni at the rookie premiere.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, let's just.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_02]: Let's just pull it up for everybody guys.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_02]: In case they haven't seen it, we have an article up on it at MHH and then also, you know, if you're following him on social media, he's been, he's a good follow.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_02]: I will say like he's been pretty active as a Bronco rookie, so highly recommend you find him on socials.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_02]: Let me, let me do a little share screen action.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody can check this out real quick.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, but here is Jonah Coleman at the rookie premiere, uh, Zach, tell me if this pulls up the whole picture, there we go.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_02]: You can see it, right?
- 44:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_02]: So there he is.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_02]: No helmet in the sunset orange as they call it.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_02]: There is with a helmet and the ball that like touchdown baby, I just scored, uh,
- 44:48[SPEAKER_02]: pointing at the camera, looking tough.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: As Michaela said, yoke, that's for sure.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_02]: That's probably my favorite one, even though he doesn't have his helmet on.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_02]: That one's dope.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, really cool stuff.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, he's looking good in the orange and blues.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: He's looking like he's going to be a day one contributor, Chad.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't mind going to say, RB, what out of the gates, but I think he's going to see the field a lot more than some of the skeptics are realizing.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Deanna fell or at least a large part of the NFL's there know his name by the end of the season.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, again, you got guys like Justin mellow over it NFL draft on SI one of our sister sites on SI who is a big and he's a draft guru guy kind of like Eric and Nick except not team specific he's just all NFL draft.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_02]: and man, he's probably hit me up Zach three or four times just since the draft with content featuring Jonah Coleman predictions, projections, things like that.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_02]: And what's the latest one that he's a mid-round, a mid-round pick with star potential?
- 45:55[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's, again, it's hype because he's yet to take a single step onto an NFL regular season field, but it's good, it's encouraging
- 46:08[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you're also getting what could have been a second round running back in the fourth round, you're putting a men's Sean Peyton system where he's pretty much guaranteed touches in a pretty damn good offense as far as on concerns.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I understand the optimism and I share it with you on a comment.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_02]: Kirsten says the run games definitely going to step up with web calling plays and Coleman now the third back rather than but day.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think Harvey is who he is and he was great.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Dobbins was carrying the rock.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's an awesome number two, you know, especially I hate to call him change a pace because I think that relegates him.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_02]: kind of minimizes him too much.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_02]: But like, you know, if dobbins is your grinder, not so much a power back, but your grinder, the guy that sees the the lanes open up, the patience, he's got the vision, always just consistently Zack finds a way to get to the second level.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_02]: But he needs to get his break every once in a while.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_02]: He's not a guy that's going to so much be a threat to take it to the house anytime he touches it and then all of a sudden Harvey comes in with that burst
- 47:12[SPEAKER_02]: So, I still think you could be right, Kirsten, that Harvey is who he is, but the Broncos remain adamant that we're just kind of scratching the surface with Harvey, so we'll see.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't I don't think it's a slight to call him a change of pace back.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of running backs and NFL history.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_01]: Chad Darren's pros, as I mentioned earlier, he was considered a cop back and he's one of the best to ever do it in that regard.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_01]: He is who he is.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think every backfield though needs a thunder and lightning kind of ying and yang and we have the thunder and dobbins and Harvey and Coleman and we have the lightning and RJ Harvey.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_01]: That's the compliment that we want to achieve.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, yeah, no doubt about it, dude.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_02]: Anthony Johnson very nice to see on Facebook.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_02]: Big dog.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go Denver, indeed.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_02]: Nice to have you with us.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_02]: grab this William again saying no international games this year.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_02]: So you guys remember he's checking in from London.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_02]: So to fans like him that aren't in the US of A, it's kind of a bummer if the Broncos don't come across the Atlantic or like I can't remember which who was a dizzy
- 48:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no international games this season for the Broncos, which to me is, I mean, I'm sorry, William, but to relief that they don't have to add those extra miles to their itinerary and then, you know, they'll be back at it.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure next season they'll be on a slate somewhere, but he wants some thought Zach on the charger sign and David and Joku, which happened obviously after the draft, like a week and a half after the draft.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was going to say the same thing as you kind of like sorry, not sorry.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm happy the Broncos aren't going international this year.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we covered Nijuku signing pretty extensively.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_01]: I was a great move for the chargers on paper anyway.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: C.F.E.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: State's healthy, but another weapon in that offense to give to Justin Herbert's work under Mike McDaniel, how do you not like that pairing in terms of regrets, though?
- 49:07[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, those went out the window when I realized the Broncos weren't going to sign David Nijuku.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: And that was weeks and months ago when they signed Adam Freak and Troutman to a three year extension and they drafted Justin Jolie.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_01]: So then to Joku to Denver dream has been dead for a long time.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_02]: Phil wants to know, I saw that we signed a young veteran, but a veteran nonetheless.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_02]: Why does he ever Michael Woods the second?
- 49:30[SPEAKER_02]: And then the undrafted rookie cornerback, Paul Manning, Zack.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_02]: He wants to know, do either of them make the team or even the practice squad?
- 49:38[SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't know, maybe like in a best case scenario, they'll be on the practice squad and maybe Michael Woods, but even then like receiver, the receiving room chat is so like flush right now, who you get rid of to keep Michael Woods who was brought on literally as like the 90 if man on the 90 man offseason roster.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, they can make an impression and I wouldn't be surprised if they made some noise, but I don't see them sticking around for the entire summer.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll see.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's just a really tough roster to crack.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_02]: And that includes the practice squad.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's just the bitter truth for some of these younger guys and more on proven guys unheralded like Michael Woods, for example, trying to, I mean, it's better to have a job than not have a job, especially in the offseason being on a 90 man roster.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_02]: But Denver's just tough back to get to get a rep in edge wise, but never count them out just because we've seen it.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_02]: over the history of the Broncos.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you think bags act to some of those Peyton Manning teams.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_02]: And you had undrafted guys cracking the roster and going on to star like CJ Anderson.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_02]: So it really ends up being as much as the roster effects the odds and the overall outlook on an individual level manned guys can turn it on or they don't.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_02]: And if they turn it on NFL and that includes the Broncos are always going to find a place for them.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, there's two different conversations to have here.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_01]: Do I think there are unheralded players, undrafted players that can make the Broncos 53, or make the Broncos practice?
- 51:06[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 51:06[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_01]: We've covered that quite a bit.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think either of those scenarios applies to Michael Woods or Paul Menning.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see though.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_02]: Phil, again, buddy, thanks for jumping in.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_02]: Glenn says Harvey is developing nicely this year.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_02]: a conformer quarterback converted.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_02]: He's still learning so much upside.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_02]: Great tools already.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see improved north south running from him.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll see.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_02]: And I agree that, you know, it's kind of like with Garrett Bowles.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_02]: It took him a little time to ripen on the vine because
- 51:43[SPEAKER_02]: he literally had one year only of division one college football experience playing left tackle and even though he started that whole year at Utah and showcased just how powerful and raw he was but also athletic you know took him times act to really kind of come into his own and as a first round pick all those expectations and the Broncos started him right out of the gates and so he had a
- 52:04[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he had to sink or swim out of the gates and it wasn't easy for him, but Harvey a little bit different situation because he's not someone per se's act the Broncos are necessarily expecting to start and rely on out of the gates, although he will have obviously a role in this offense.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it's not solely, I mean, to be fair to RJ, the offensive line, like I mentioned earlier, they were a little inconsistent, I think, in the second half of the season after Dobbins went down in opening up the holes up front on a consistent basis, but then again, RJ missed a lot of the holes himself there with his vision issues.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I agree, Glenn, I want to see better running from him better vision, but north south, I don't think is ever going to be his game.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: He is a change of pace guy, he's a zigzagging horizontal runner and if you let him cook like that, I think you'd have something.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_02]: a shout out real quick.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_02]: We got Q Quentin's in the house.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_02]: Another deer member taught Austin Dwarf in the house.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_02]: We'll come to you in a sec.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_02]: Todd, but Pearl says the big thing survive the first six games, which are brutal, baby.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, chiefs on the road, home against the jags, home against the Rams, Niners on the road, chargers on the road, Seahawks at home.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's about, I mean, the one thing
- 53:20[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know that I've ever seen a schedule for six games like that ever.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_02]: And then if you widen the scope just a little to eight games, the first date is that week seven on the road cardinals, a little bit of a reprieve, but it is a road game.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_02]: And then back home for the second matchup with the chiefs at mile high.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_02]: So, I mean, that's one thing I will all agree with cowardice.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to go so far as to say conspiracy theory and the Broncos or the NFL's trying to punish Peyton and the Broncos.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_02]: I can't think of just at least keeping it with the Broncos.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_02]: His point was NFL wide.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a nerd on these things.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_02]: I follow schedules and from a Bronco perspective, even going back to some of these epic teams over the years, I like that.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_02]: The key L way years late, the manning years.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember a schedule like that ever.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_01]: To me, his whole argument loses its weight when you realize the other teams in the division are going to be playing the same teams on the Proco schedule.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: They all kind of share the same docket and we looked at the chief schedule chat on camera last night.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_01]: The charger schedule.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_01]: Those were pretty tough too.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_01]: We said the same things the Broncos also get a reprieve in the middle of the season There's two ways of looking at it.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I would rather get these six games out of the way to start then to end the year I'd rather the Broncos have the buy where they gave it to him right in the middle of the year Look at the chiefs buy for example.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_01]: What was it week five?
- 54:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's tough man That's really tough.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know that the NFL was punishing them.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_01]: This is what happens when you're a good team with a first play schedule Simple as that
- 54:51[SPEAKER_02]: yeah chargers got a week seven by chiefs just to verify I'm pretty sure it was week five but real quick uh yeah week five's that so you know a lot of season left to be played after that yeah that's for sure but uh yeah so all right pearl and then I'm trying to find the one from Todd here that I wanted to grab I think you put down a schedule of 13 and 4
- 55:17[SPEAKER_02]: but the the chat did a jump on me.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_02]: So now I can't find what the one I should have started.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_02]: But oh well, Todd, good to see you.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_02]: Let's grab this one in steady.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_02]: So the offense just needs some consistency moving the ball.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_02]: And this is the one I was looking for.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_02]: I'm saying 13 and 4 for the Broncos and a Super Bowl appearance.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, this is again, it's an inconvenient truth.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_02]: But the first half of the season in particular, bonics in the offense, were inconsistent.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_02]: That doesn't mean they sucked.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_02]: They didn't suck.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_02]: They were inconsistent, and especially for the most part, really slow starters, where things didn't really start coming together till...
- 55:54[SPEAKER_02]: second half, halfway through the third quarter.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_02]: He'd start seeing the sea change, but I think for them to really weather this storm, whatever the kinks are that we're kind of holding things back.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure part of it's act is just the development of a young second-year quarterback within the 20-25 context, but now going into year three, baby, it's time to, you know, we need unfettered
- 56:19[SPEAKER_02]: That combined with how good this defense is, the specialists that you have, the return game that you have, like, all in the coaching, the line, you know, it's all lining up.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's why you bring in jail and water to be your number one receiver.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's why you bring back JK documents and then draft Jonah Coleman.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's why you bring in players like Jolie and down in Bentley, for example, because you want to be more consistent.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think the Broncos have the fire power chat last season.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_01]: At least in the second half of the year after JK, Dobbins went down.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_01]: But this season, they're well balanced and I think as the comments said there, they're going to be more consistent week to week.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_02]: All right, guys, we got a couple of messages for you.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_02]: So real quick though, but before we get to those and while Zach's going through them, I'm gonna look at the last couple things to get to from the chat, so don't go anywhere.
