- 0:15SPEAKER_01: What is going on, sports minds?
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: It's your boy MJ coming at you with another episode of the Fancy Fumble.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: I am here with my co-host Joe the Birdman.
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: Joe, how the hell are you doing today, brother?
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: I'm feeling awesome today, Manny.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: I actually only went three and three last week, and I am officially out of the Champions League.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: But every other league is looking great.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: So I'm pumped for the second half of the season.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: I I know the feeling I'm out of one of the leagues we're in in Joe's League.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: Uh Joe's league, you're Joe.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: I'm in James' league.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: Uh I'm out of that one.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: But uh in the other ones, man, I took losses all across the board, man.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: It was a rough week.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: All my teams are built similar.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: Uh, so that means that you know, when I take a loss in one, I'm probably taking a loss in all of them.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: So it wasn't a good week, but you know, it's not how you start, it's how you finish.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: And um don't hit the panic button, folks.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: If you had a bad week, just ride it out because you might have a beautiful week the next time around.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you got to keep fighting until it's over.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, and even if it is over, like you know, I I sent a message to the to the group this week that I hope I spoil it for a few other people and knock them out of the playoffs.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: So, you know, you don't make moves, uh, in my opinion.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: Don't make moves if you're out.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: Even if there's no rule against it, I feel like it's just kind of etiquette and common courtesy to understand that if you're out, let people that are actually still in playoff contention make moves.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: So don't don't be active on waivers until they all go through and then pick up the scraps.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, don't make any shady trades, just ride out the season and do the best you can.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, man, if if you're still in it, you know, even if you have six or seven losses, if there's a chance you can actually make the playoffs, keep fighting because you never know, man.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: I've there were there were a couple years where I started 0-3, and uh, you know, some sometimes I'd be one and four and make a comeback in a and a solid playoff run.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: So you gotta keep making moves until you're officially out.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: Keep fighting like Rocky.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: And they're actually um haven't been too too much action going on in the NFL this past week, but we're gonna get into that, uh, get into some news and notes.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: But first, a word from our sponsor.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: Hey there.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: My name is Manny James Gonzalez with PRB, and I'm a real estate agent here in Central Florida.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: I'm a U.S.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: Navy veteran, military relocation pro, and big supporter of 2A and veterans' rights.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: My specialty is VA transactions.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: I'm also experience in all parts of real estate.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: I've been living in Florida for over 20 years, and I can tell you we still believe in freedom down here.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: One of the greatest job markets, excellent economy, and no state income tax.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: When it comes to an agent, you want one that's gonna be honest, not afraid of a fight, and most importantly, willing to do the things that some agents aren't willing to do.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: And what's that, Manny?
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: Choose straight, Dan.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: If you ever consider buying in Central Florida, you need somebody you can trust, and I got your ticks.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: I'm Manny James Gonzalez, buying land for the free and home for the brave.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: So, like I said, not too much going on this week as far as the news.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is expected to miss at least two weeks after injuring his hamstring against the Falcons.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: And the New York Jets traded wide receiver Mike Williams to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: I'm not sure how I feel about that just because Mike Williams hasn't really done anything for the last few years.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: I know he has a lot of talent, but it's rarely showcased.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: So we'll see if that change makes any difference in his production.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: Well, to Mike, Mike Williams' defense, uh, he hasn't done anything this year and 14 games of last year because he tore his ACL after like three or four games, and he was balling the first few games of the season.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: So he he's been out for about a year.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: But uh he he, you know, the problem is coming back from the ACL, will you ever be the same player?
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: He obviously he's a big jump ball receiver type of guy, but uh uh I think Mike Wallace, Mike Wallace, uh who are we talking about?
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: Mike Williams.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: Mike Williams may bounce back, uh, but we'll see, right?
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, uh Russell Wilson is a good quarterback, though.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: I think he could help him out.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: And you're right, you know, there's those there's those situations where an ACL injury, you know, we've seen players like what didn't Brees Hall tear his ACO?
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: Um and then Todd Gurley and JK Dobbins.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: JK Dobbins had you know pretty much two years off, and uh they all came back and they look great.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: So I mean they're running backs, but still, you just never know if they're gonna come back to full strength.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: And and I feel like uh right now we're still waiting to see what he can do, and and I feel for it, man.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: I've torn both my ACLs.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: It sucks.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: It's a long, it's a long road to recovery.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: Oh wow, I I didn't know you'd done that, man.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: That sucks.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it sucks.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: It was never the same.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: I was one of those people that was never the same, but I was also not an elite athlete, so oh gotcha.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: Um but uh at running back, we actually don't have any injuries on the docket this year or this week.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: So all starting running back, all starting running backs should be good to go this week because there was no one on the injury report that did not practice.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: Uh maybe ETN.
- 6:31SPEAKER_01: He was questionable, but he was limited.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: There were they were all limited.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: There were plenty of people that were limited, but there was no one, no one as far as your starters that were listed as a as a did not practice.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: But for wide receivers, we got a handful.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Uh, we got two concussions, New Orleans Saints wide receiver, Chris Olave, and New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: They both did not practice with concussions.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: Uh Devonta Smith did not practice with the hamstring injury.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: Michael Pittman Jr.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: again on the did not practice list with his back and his finger.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: And then Bengals wide receiver that has been amazing.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: T.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: Higgins did not practice with the quad injury.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: Um, Carolina Panthers wide receiver, Adam Thielen, is back from IR.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: Is he is expected to play this week.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: They thought he could play last week.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: He is expected to play this week, and then also with a hamstring, Juju is still not practicing.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: And then wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills, Keon Coleman, wrist and arm.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: And Brandon Cooks is making progress, but did not practice today.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: And Nico Collins, he also did not practice, but is making progress as well and is expected to play this week.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: We know that can change.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: We've heard it so many times.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: So they're like, yeah, he's on track to play, and then they don't play.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: So keep an eye on Nico Collins.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: Don't just set it and forget it.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: Make sure you're checking that on Sunday morning.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: And then at tight end, we just have one guy listed there.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: That's uh Baltimore Ravens tight end, Isaiah Likely.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: He did not practice out with a hamstring injury.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: He's been kind of absent since uh he exploded at the beginning of the season.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: And then a couple new additions at quarterback.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: Again, Dak Prescott that I mentioned at the beginning, up at the top, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, Baker Mayfield with a toe injury.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: He should probably be fine though.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: Man, he has been impressive.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: I mean I've really enjoyed you know, I picked him up as a backup, and then he turned into my starter in like three leagues.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: So that's what we got for the news and notes and the injury report.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: Keep an eye on all those guys that did not practice and make sure.
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: Well, I got some here too, man.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: Uh, for the waiver wire pickups, right?
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I obviously in regards to that.
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: Um, Noah Brown.
- 8:57SPEAKER_01: So he is he's somebody that's really been coming on.
- 9:00SPEAKER_01: If you think about it, uh commanders have had a really elite offense, right, all year long with Jaden Daniels.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: That guy's the truth.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: And I'm an Eagles fan.
- 9:09SPEAKER_01: I can tell you, I you know, I was I can see a talented player, and Jaden Daniels is a talented player.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: So he his number one receiver is uh Terry McLaurin, but he doesn't have a clear-cut number two.
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: Like when you look at the games, he was throwing spreading it out to Zach Ertz certain games, you know, certain games he spread it out to Diane Diami Brown, and then uh recently he's been spreading it out to Noah Brown, who actually was pretty solid for the Texans last year.
- 9:37SPEAKER_01: But I think he was he was yeah, and I think he's gonna be even more solid as a number two option.
- 9:43SPEAKER_01: So that I think that offense is sustainable enough that they need a second receiving threat, and when he's healthy, which he looks healthy, uh, I mean, the last two games he has 12 targets, eight receptions for 133 yards and a touchdown.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: So that's not a lot, that's like 65 yards a game.
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: But I mean, the fact that he's getting you know uh 12 targets, I mean that that right there is starting to show you that hey, he's starting to get some trust, he's starting to get some chemistry, and it's only a matter of time before he has some blow up games.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: And if you remember last year, he had some pretty big games with CJ Stroud.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: He did, I mean, and and uh I totally agree.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: Like last year, he was he was a guy I I played for a few weeks last year as a fill-in, and he really put up some big numbers.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: And you know, in week eight, he had that Hail Mary pass that really skewed the um the numbers, you know.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: It gave him that product, it gave him the um, I'm looking at it now, he had 16 points in week eight, but the the majority of that was on that Hail Mary play, but that was just one target.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: He did have five targets before that, like you said, and then last week he had six targets as well.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: So six targets and back-to-back weeks, and then if you look at week six, he had eight targets.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: So he is clearly involved in the offense, and the last the for the last month he has been a lot more involved, and I expect that to continue.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: And um we have, like you said, we have seen him perform very well uh just last year.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: So I I expect him to be more involved as the year goes on for sure.
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and another guy too, uh Demario Douglas, uh wide receiver for the Patriots.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: He's somebody that's been widely regarded uh and available in multiple leagues.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: Um, I mean, in nine games this year, he has 48 targets, 35 receptions.
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: So he's getting some work, and Drake May is really developing as well.
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: So I think that they could use uh a you know, he won't be a number one, but he could be a nice little uh slot slot option for him, dump off for Drake May.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: So I could see him getting that type of target share, um, at least a five to seven target a game, you know, flex type of play.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: So right now I wouldn't start him, but he's somebody I would definitely stash.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: And it's funny that you mentioned him because he's a guy in many leagues I have stashed, and then even a couple times I played, and then he has a down week, and I drop him, and then he has a good week, and you're like, What am I what should I do here?
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: He is a good stash, keep him on your bench, see what he does the next couple weeks.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: He could easily be uh a reliable flex play for the rest of the season because he's involved.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: Drake May is looking his way for sure.
- 12:24SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: There are any other uh waiver ads.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: I know it's kind of slim pickings uh compared to other weeks, but is there anyone else you want to mention?
- 12:33SPEAKER_01: I mean, people were uh riding the Mike Goseki train.
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: I mean, he's um he's been looking like he has some chemistry with Joe uh Burrow, but you know, I'm not really big on tight ends like that, so I'm not gonna tell people if you're desperate, grab them.
- 12:48SPEAKER_01: Um otherwise, I'm not really like you know, too too uh impressed.
- 12:53SPEAKER_01: Like, like you look at, for example, Cole Komet has some blow up games now, he's not doing shit.
- 12:58SPEAKER_01: So like tight ends are so unpredictable that you know why even bother?
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: Gaseki has yeah, Gaseki's had a couple good weeks in a row, yes.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: Um, and he's one of those dudes that on any given Sunday he can play a really, really good game.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: We we've seen it in past years, and the same thing with Cole Komet and and a lot of other tight ends.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: You see them, you know, Hunter Henry's a perfect example.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: He'll have 20 one week and then two the next.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: And you know, it's just the tight end position.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: If you guys, yeah, if you do need a fill-in or you don't have a tight end, sure, pick up Giseki, but you it's peaks and valleys of tight end, you never know what you're gonna get.
- 13:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: It's hot in here, it's Fuego.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: It's time for that hot matchup of the week, ladies and gentlemen.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: Now, for my hot sweaty balls matchup, so we're calling it now, a hot sweaty balls matchup.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: Sure.
- 14:02SPEAKER_01: I just that's actually a pretty good name for a segment.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: All right, bring the big balls call back.
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we'll combine them.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: I'm just playing for my hot big sweaty balls matchup.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: Uh I got the Lions versus the Texans coming in as a great game for people to start.
- 14:24SPEAKER_01: The over-under or the spread, excuse me, is 48 and a half.
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: So I I mean you're looking at a pretty or the over-under is 40 and a half, excuse me.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: So you're looking at a pretty good game there.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: I mean, Vegas thinks it's gonna be high scoring.
- 14:37SPEAKER_01: So on the Texans side, obviously Joe Mixon, he's the number one option right now.
- 14:41SPEAKER_01: He's been blowing it up.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: So when he's healthy, he's killing it.
- 14:44SPEAKER_01: Um you should have Nico Collins coming back from injury.
- 14:48SPEAKER_01: So if he's back and healthy, that's gonna be a good game for him.
- 14:51SPEAKER_01: And obviously, that's gonna open it up for Tank Dell.
- 14:54SPEAKER_01: So you're gonna get a lot of you know openings there, some fun on the Texans side, which means CJ Stroud might actually be serviceable this week.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: Who knows?
- 15:03SPEAKER_01: Um, now on the flip side, when we're talking about the Lions, I mean, who isn't gonna pop off on the Lions?
- 15:10SPEAKER_01: Really, you know, running back Shamir and Montgomery, right?
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: They're freaking a two-headed monster, and then you got Amon Ra, he's he's consistently showing up.
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: I think J-Mo's still suspended, so that'll keep a possible workload for Laporta, but Laporta, man, he's you know, I don't know what's what's going on with their you know, his looks this year.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: They're not really drawing up plays for him, so it's strange.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: It's strange because they have this it's the same team as last year.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: That's why it's a little frustrating.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, oh yeah, and and that's why uh you look at it like why aren't you giving him the ball?
- 15:47SPEAKER_01: Like he's a stud tight end, he's open.
- 15:49SPEAKER_01: Like Jared Goff.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: When I watched the games, he isn't even looking his way.
- 15:53SPEAKER_01: Jared Goff has when he's looking doing his his progressions, he has Amon Raw, and then he's checking down to like another receiver, and then like by then, you know, it's a running back, right?
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: Because that's his outlet, you know, or his check down, and you know, he doesn't even like look Laporta's way, and Laporta's always working on the other side of the field, he's more of a diversion at this point, you know.
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: He's trying to look like Kyle Pitts a little bit.
- 16:21SPEAKER_01: Uh, not to get on a side ramble over here, but that you know, try to make a point there.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: Kyle Pitts, how about that Kyle Pitts, by the way?
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: He's really come on with your boy Kirk Cousins, man.
- 16:32SPEAKER_01: So yes, uh, and he's what what was that shit called?
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: The the wave?
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: What is he doing?
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: I don't know, but I'm just happy to I'm just happy for him on an individual level, you know, because people he's gotta obviously know, like I mean, you know, as a professional athlete, they always tell you, or just like as a celebrity, they'll they'll say, Don't read the comments, but you know, he's aware that people were talking shit, but it you know, it appears that it was not his fault.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: And with Kirk Cousins uh leading the team, he's come in come into play on pretty much I think three out of the last four weeks and looked really good.
- 17:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, agreed.
- 17:15SPEAKER_01: He's he's looked pretty awesome, man.
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: He's made Mooney look like a serviceable fancy start, you know.
- 17:21SPEAKER_01: Like, I mean, at the end of the day, and Drake London really he took out his potential, he's taken out the potential in Kyle Pitts and uh opening things up for Bijan under when they actually hand him the ball, you know.
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: Um, I I also don't like that split over there.
- 17:35SPEAKER_01: They need to stop giving Algier that many touches.
- 17:38SPEAKER_01: Um, but that's me personally how I feel.
- 17:41SPEAKER_01: When you have a back like Bijan, you don't not give them the ball.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: I agree.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: I understand that you know they want to they want to also keep them healthy, but it is frustrating uh for us.
- 17:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, for us.
- 17:53SPEAKER_01: Do it for us, you selfish bastards.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: Selfish bastards.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: No, but that I agree, that's gonna be a great game.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: Probably gonna be a shootout.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: And uh, you know, I think I know I know we're a broken record when we say things like this, but I think if Nico Collins is back, that should help tank Dell.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: Because when you've got two wide receivers and the defense doesn't really know where to go or who to cover, you know, it opens up more opportunities.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: And you know, you see the same thing on the Bengals when T.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: Higgins is on the field and Jamar Chase is on the field, they both will play at a higher level than if it's just one of them.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: So hey, I hope we see the same thing with the Ravens.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: You know, Zay Flowers has been going nuts too.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: Um actually this is a perfect segue into my hot matchup.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: I've got the bagels, the bangles, the bagels, the bagels, I've got the bagels and the ravens.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: What we were just saying about the wide receivers, you know, when they're both on the field, it does create more opportunity.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: So if Deontay Johnson's out there and Zay Flowers is out there, it'll probably make I was I was worried about it, but you know what?
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: It actually could help both of them.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: When that trade initially happened, I was worried that it was gonna bring them both down, but it actually might help them both elevate to the next level.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: And this week we're gonna be without T.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: Higgins, but this is a game we saw in week five.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: I used, I believe I said it was my hot matchup in week five when they played each other in Cincinnati.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: The final score of that game was 41-38 Ravens.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, what is that?
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: 79 total points.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: I think we can expect a lot of the same for this game in Baltimore, and the Ravens will try to focus on the run, and the Bengals will hope to focus on the pass.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: But, you know, it's we've seen that Chase Brown is the real deal.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Zach Moss is on IR, so expect Chase Brown to have a big game.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: Burrow's been up and down this year, but you should feel really good about starting him this week against Baltimore, even with T.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: Higgins likely sitting out.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: He's right now listed as doubtful.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: And obviously, Jamar Chase is a must-start, even with the lackluster week nine.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: You're gonna have him in your roster uh in your lineup every single week.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: And Chase Brown had 32 touches last week.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: I'm not expecting him to have 32 touches this week, but it's insane.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, Zach Moss is on IR with a neck injury, so expect another high volume day for Chase Brown.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: And, you know, on the other side of the field, um if it's close, expect another huge day for the number one running back, Derrick Henry.
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: Even if it gets carried away, expect at least a huge first half for Derrick Henry, and that's really all he needs.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: And Lamar is the number one quarterback, and Zay Flowers has been on fire too.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: So all three of those guys, in my opinion, are a must-start.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: I was worried, like I said, I was worried about Zay Flowers, but after seeing him the last couple weeks, I'm not worried about him anymore.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: And hopefully, Mark Andrews can find the end zone again because he's still not getting the volume to be considered a must-start, even at the tight end position.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm not sure you're gonna have a better option, but he is touchdown dependent.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: But as a whole, if that thing's if that game is anything like we saw in week five, it's gonna be fireworks.
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I definitely um agree with you on that.
- 21:40SPEAKER_01: It's it's gonna be a fun game, a lot of points.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: Um, I mean, I feel I'm very envious of anybody that drafted Derrick Henry this year, because you're right, they they are literally killing the league right now.
- 21:53SPEAKER_01: He's scoring at least, you know, tw high twenties, thirties a game.
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: And um I mean if you're going Up against that guy, like it it's not easy so far.
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: But um, on the other hand, Bengals, uh, Chase Brown, uh, they actually uh traded for Khalil Herbert.
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: So you might actually see a Khalil Herbert start to get some touches in there too.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: But Chase Brown did look pretty good.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: I'm actually very impressed with how undersized he is, but how big he plays for his size.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, true.
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: You know, um, so he he definitely has a really good skill set, but I think they're gonna want to conserve him.
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: And um, you know, that 32 touches, like you said, it's an anomaly.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: Uh they're not gonna do that again.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: So um I I could see Khalil getting some touches in there, you know, some handoffs.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: He'll be the their uh goal line guy, play the Zach Moss role.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: Um, and and that he actually should be serviceable.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: So if you got him, he should be a nice little stash.
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: Um, but not anything crazy.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: Uh but outside of that, um definitely high scoring should be fun.
- 22:55SPEAKER_01: I'm looking forward to it.
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: And I agree with what you said about specifically about his size with Chase Brown.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: You you can't have 30 touches a game and expect that to be a long-term solution to your run game.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: So yeah, they they were clearly thinking that same thing.
- 23:12SPEAKER_01: Um that's where they were.
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: They called me first before.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: They called you and said, Manny, what should we do here?
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: I was like, pick up Khalil Herbert.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: I said the Bears got too many running backs, man.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they do.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: Um, those guys, it's funny.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: The all those guys on the Bears are are kind of similar running backs.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean they're they're all like similar, similar size and and um build, yeah, running style.
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, they did except for Swift.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: He's the he's a different one.
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: He he's their full service back, yeah.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: Uh, what's your honorable mention for a hot matchup this week?
- 23:50SPEAKER_01: Honorable mention.
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: Uh, it's gonna be the Eagles versus the Cowgirls.
- 24:00SPEAKER_01: No Dak Prescott.
- 24:01SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be Cooper Rush and CeeDee Lamb.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: And CeeDee Lamb always cooks our ass, so I don't care how good our defense has been playing this year, he plays motivated and we play dumb sometimes.
- 24:13SPEAKER_01: So I I can expect there to be some exchanges.
- 24:16SPEAKER_01: So uh, but with the Cowboys getting cooked, uh as long as Devontae Smith plays, I could see that our side.
- 24:25SPEAKER_01: Well, as long as AJ Brown plays, we're good.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: Because AJ Brown's gonna be out there, it doesn't matter who's who's guarding him, he's gonna be open.
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: So that's what I love about the guy.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: And Saquon's gonna eat.
- 24:36SPEAKER_01: So uh that's gonna be some Saquon also is uh another guy I'm envious of because he's a league winner right now.
- 24:43SPEAKER_01: You know, he's averaging 26 30, you know, 26, 28 points a game in a PPR league.
- 24:49SPEAKER_01: So um easily.
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: Um, so he's uh what is he RB1 right now?
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: I I think he's I think he's two.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: It's it's funny because Derrick Henry and Saquon went around the they probably went around the same spot, like around eight or ten in most drafts.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: Maybe even maybe even a little after that.
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: Like you could have even possibly gotten one of those guys in the second round, like if at the beginning of the second round.
- 25:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you had to be picking late though.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's it's just crazy because you know, I'm in one league where this dude has uh Saquon and Derrick Henry, and I know he picked them back to back, yeah.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: Um, and it just you know he grabbed, I can't remember who he grabbed first.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: I think he grabbed Barkley first.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, and then he got Derrick Henry at the very beginning of the second round, and he was at the end of the draft.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: But yeah, dude, those are that's running back one and two.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: And you know what?
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: We did mention this when we were doing our our preseason rankings.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: We both mentioned that these guys have the potential to be on the highest level as running backs this year because of the teams they're on, you know.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: Derrick Henry on a run first offense like the Ravens, with that just that kind of a football team with that caliber of running back, and the same thing with Saquon, that caliber football team with that caliber running back.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: I mean, the recipes right there.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: I feel like I should have thought a little bit harder about it before the draft.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: But I mean, we were saying this, we just didn't expect him to be this good.
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: One more guy I do want to mention for that game, though, is Rico Daldo, who has been very impressive over the last couple weeks.
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: Well, actually, I shouldn't say because two weeks ago he had kind of a down game.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: But overall, over the last month, you can see when they started to kind of phase out Zeke and give him more touches.
- 26:43SPEAKER_00: Um, he's doing what we expected him to do, and I think that's gonna continue and get better over the second half of the season.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: So I think he's a solid flex play.
- 26:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, agreed.
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: Rico's coming out of his show, man.
- 26:58SPEAKER_00: Now, for my honorable mention, I have the 49ers versus the Buccaneers.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: As we said, Baker Mayfield has been playing at a very high level this year.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: And even without his top two wide receivers, Godwin and Evans, he's continuing to play at a very high level.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: We knew that Kate Otten was gonna come in and pretty much fill that gap at wide receiver, even though he's a tight end, he's playing like a wide receiver.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: He's looking awesome, he's getting a lot of volume over the last three weeks.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: He's gotten solid volume, and that will continue.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: And I think that one of those wide receivers is gonna have to step up.
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: Is it McMillan?
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: Is that his name, McMillan?
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: I think he's injured right now.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: Jalen McMillan.
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think he's injured right now, so keep an eye on that.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: But Sterling Shepard will probably step up if he doesn't play.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: The thing is, though, it Baker's spreading out the ball enough where I don't know who's gonna perform on that team aside from Kate Otten and Baker Mayfield.
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: Um, the running back situation is like you you don't want to start any of the Buccaneers running backs.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, they they might go off, but they they might not.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: Um, so I'm really not sure what to do with the with the running back situation.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: But as a whole, that team is going to put up points.
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: And Baker has proven that he doesn't need his top two wide receivers to stay productive.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: So, you know, if he's got a little toe injury, that turf toe can can really, really, from what I've heard, I've never had it, but from what I've heard, that can really, really be painful and nagging.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: But as long as it's just something mild, I expect Baker to be a full go on Sunday.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: And if he's got Kate Otten and a couple wide receivers and a couple running backs to spread the ball out, Baker should perform at a high level as he's been doing all year.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: I think he's like he's got to be in the top three at quarterbacks.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: And then on top of that, you've got on the other side of the football field the 49ers, they've got McCaffrey back.
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: I don't know if McCaffrey's playing this week, but they're saying he's going to play.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: You've got pretty much a solid tight end and wide receiver every single game.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: Because if one wide receiver is hurt, you know, if if I'm out, Debo steps up.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: And I think that uh Jennings is going to be playing this week, too.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: So if you've got uh Debo and Kittle and Juwan Jennings, Purdy's going to be playing well.
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: Purdy, in my opinion, is a must-start.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: Baker's a must-start, K Dotten's a must-start, Kittle's a must-start, Debo's a must-start.
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: That's five just right off the bat that I would plug in and not even think twice.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: And then you've got guys that you could put possibly put in at flex, such as Juwan Jennings.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: So keep an eye on all those injuries and make sure that uh, you know, I obviously if McCaffrey plays, you're gonna you're gonna put him in, but they might have him limited.
- 30:05SPEAKER_00: So, you know, he might only give you like 12 or 15 points, but if he actually is healthy, he could give you 25.
- 30:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's definitely gonna be a fun game.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: 49ers, Buccaneers.
- 30:20SPEAKER_01: Uh Buccaneers really stepped it up this past week when they played against the Chiefs.
- 30:24SPEAKER_01: They were really uh what an exciting game.
- 30:27SPEAKER_01: They it came down to the last possession, which was questionable as well, right?
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: It always rolls in the Chiefs' favor.
- 30:34SPEAKER_01: Um I mean, it never fails uh over the last three or four years, it's been that way.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: Um, I was shaking my head after that coin toss, man.
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: Just like, come on.
- 30:44SPEAKER_01: Well, not not necessarily the coin toss.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: There was a I know, but I'm just saying, like, of course, you know, they get the coin toss too, of course.
- 30:52SPEAKER_01: I I was like, they get the call and the coin, right?
- 30:55SPEAKER_01: I was like, why would Baker ever call tails?
- 30:57SPEAKER_01: What kind of man calls tails on a head or tails flip?
- 31:00SPEAKER_01: You always call heads, dog.
- 31:02SPEAKER_01: Always call heads because we got two of them.
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: That's right, that's right.
- 31:07SPEAKER_01: We think with one of them, all right.
- 31:09SPEAKER_01: And that's what we not to get sidetracked.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: Getting back on topic here.
- 31:14SPEAKER_01: Uh, but Buccaneers, man, they played a great game.
- 31:18SPEAKER_01: Um, actually, and I I really like if if you got to start a flex, man, I I love Rashad White, like as a flex, even Bucky Irvin, man.
- 31:26SPEAKER_01: Bucky Irvin, he's gonna get you if you got no other options and you're like, I want a solid floor, solid ceiling guy.
- 31:33SPEAKER_01: Bucky Irvin's getting you 12, man.
- 31:35SPEAKER_01: Like that guy's gonna be right at that 12.
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: But Buck uh just kind of give you some numbers for uh Rashad White.
- 31:41SPEAKER_01: His last game was 12, and then he had 16 before that, and then 30 before that.
- 31:46SPEAKER_01: So he's actually had like some pretty solid games so far.
- 31:50SPEAKER_01: The 30 is obviously two touchdowns, but uh he's had a touchdown each uh he's had four touchdowns in the last three weeks.
- 31:58SPEAKER_01: So the guy's been really coming on, uh, especially he's kind of filling in that extra role.
- 32:03SPEAKER_01: They've been dumping off a lot more screens to him.
- 32:06SPEAKER_01: So I I can see him continuing to feast off of that a little bit.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: Um, but on the 49ers side, Debo, obviously, you start him as a flex man, but I'm always worried about that guy.
- 32:17SPEAKER_01: Will he finish out the game?
- 32:19SPEAKER_01: You know, like he he gets injured so many during so many games, it's crazy.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean he's never played a full season.
- 32:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, full season, full game.
- 32:28SPEAKER_01: Uh, but obviously, if you have Debo, you're not leaving him on the bench, man.
- 32:31SPEAKER_01: You you're you're starting that guy without a doubt.
- 32:34SPEAKER_01: It's just uh that's why I don't draft people like that, because they always give me the you know, you can't you always start your studs, but you you know, you you got doubts in that guy.
- 32:45SPEAKER_01: But uh Purdy and Kittle, man, that's one of my favorite stacks there.
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: If you got them, congratulations.
- 32:50SPEAKER_01: That's a fun one to have.
- 32:52SPEAKER_00: Um, and then Kittle has been just an absolute monster this year.
- 32:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, tight end too behind uh uh what's the rookie's name from uh LA Raiders?
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: Bowers.
- 33:03SPEAKER_01: Uh Las Vegas, yeah.
- 33:04SPEAKER_01: Brock Bowers.
- 33:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's been killing it.
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: But you called that, you called that one, man.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he was he was a nice little uh sleeper pickup.
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: Um but another another guy that I like this week too, man, another sleeper, but uh Ricky Pearsall, I think he's gonna step it up because you you never know what's gonna happen with Debo.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: So one guy that I would rather have as like a stash is Ricky Pearsall, because I think he's gonna when Debo comes in and takes that number one defense, uh defender off of them.
- 33:39SPEAKER_01: That means that Ricky Pearsall is gonna be route running and open it up.
- 33:42SPEAKER_01: And he's really starting.
- 33:44SPEAKER_00: Would you rather have just for this week, Juwan Jennings?
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: Actually, we could even say the rest of the season, Juwan Jennings or Ricky Pearsall.
- 33:56SPEAKER_01: Juwan Jennings.
- 33:57SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's a tough one though.
- 34:00SPEAKER_01: I didn't think about it.
- 34:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean Jennings has had a couple good games, but he's just when when he's healthy, man, like he's he's just he has so much chemistry with Purdy.
- 34:10SPEAKER_01: Like, and he he like he's rarely ever not healthy.
- 34:14SPEAKER_01: He's just had a like a bad streak this year, or this, yeah, this year, like a few games.
- 34:19SPEAKER_01: But Jawan Jennings, man, he's like he all he did this shit in Miami, too.
- 34:25SPEAKER_01: You know, like this week, yeah.
- 34:28SPEAKER_01: So he he's he's done that where he just goes off, you know.
- 34:31SPEAKER_01: And if anybody dropped him, you know, yeah, pick him up for sure.
- 34:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 34:36SPEAKER_01: If anybody drops him back, so yeah, he's a nice little stash, even if he doesn't play, just put him on your bench, right?
- 34:42SPEAKER_01: He could be a nice little spot star for a week or two.
- 34:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you always know Debo's gonna be out.
- 34:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he could come up huge during playoffs.
- 34:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm gonna have to put up my hood.
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: It's time for a cold call of the week.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: All right, so for my cold call of the week, I have the Titans versus the Chargers.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: I picked the Titans last week too.
- 35:18SPEAKER_00: They actually came up with a win.
- 35:20SPEAKER_00: But I feel like this game's just gonna be a grind.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: And the Chargers are actually five and three, but there's a few other factors, specifically the defense, that I'm thinking about for this week.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: I believe Mason Rudolph will be starting for the Titans again, and he's been playing alright.
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, he's he's possibly a streamer, like if you know, if you had Dak and you need a streamer, maybe Mason Rudolph.
- 35:48SPEAKER_00: Um, I I wouldn't, but it's it's someone you could consider.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: Um Pollard, he's getting high volume, and the the offense will most likely operate around him again on Sunday.
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: And then the boom or bust wide receiver, Calvin Ridley.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: He actually turned in a mid-range game last week for the first time all year uh with 12 fantasy points.
- 36:07SPEAKER_00: You know, he's usually getting you three or four or twenty five.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: And last week he had 12.
- 36:14SPEAKER_00: So it was it was actually kind of nice to see that mid-range.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: You're like, oh, he can do it.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: It's not always boom or bust, but he's getting tons of targets, but he is always a risky play.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: And then Nick Westbrook and 9, he's actually had four touchdowns over the last four games, but he's only had 16 targets, so that means one out of four passes is a touchdown, which is clearly unsustainable.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: And the Chargers defense has looked awesome.
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: I mean, last week they had I think they had three interceptions, um, but they've looked really good all year.
- 36:47SPEAKER_00: So expect them to still play at a high level.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: And then on the other side of the field, you got Justin Herbert.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: He's been pretty good the last couple weeks.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: Uh, but the Titans D has also looked good.
- 36:58SPEAKER_00: Last week they looked great.
- 37:00SPEAKER_00: I would start J.K.
- 37:01SPEAKER_00: Dobbins because he's getting that above average volume, and he's had four touchdowns over the last four games.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: Uh Ladd McConkey, um, he's been pretty consistent over the last month, and he seems comfortable in this offense, but his ceiling is pretty low.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: And then Quentin Johnston, he had 120 yards last week.
- 37:20SPEAKER_00: But in my opinion, he's even uh a riskier play than Calvin Ridley.
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: That's just my opinion.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: Some people might say he's a better play than Calvin Ridley.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: We're gonna have to wait and see.
- 37:31SPEAKER_00: I know that like I'm I'm talking about these guys' stats, and these guys' stats sound pretty good, but what I'm saying is proceed with caution or stay away if you have a better option because the Titans are solid against the pass, and the Chargers Diaz look good all around.
- 37:49SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, I'm mentioning a lot of positives about these players, and I'm just trying to stress that they could all have an average or below average game compared to the last couple weeks, specifically because of the defenses that they're playing against.
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: So, this is a game that on paper you might see some of these players and think they're a must-start, but I I don't think this is a good week for any of these guys.
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: I think it's going to be an average week, average at best week for most of these players.
- 38:17SPEAKER_00: So I'm staying away from this game.
- 38:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, staying far away.
- 38:22SPEAKER_01: I mean, you you hit the nail on the head.
- 38:24SPEAKER_01: I mean, not really any player I want to start there besides Pollard, and you know, hesitantly, and they both have top defenses, so stay the hell away.
- 38:33SPEAKER_01: Very simple.
- 38:35SPEAKER_01: Now, for my cold call, I went ahead and picked the uh Giants versus the Panthers.
- 38:46SPEAKER_01: Two dumpster fire mess of uh teams uh going at each other, seeing, hey, who's the bigger shithead, you or me?
- 38:55SPEAKER_01: Um and I think they're gonna figure it out, right?
- 38:58SPEAKER_01: Um, Daniel Jones.
- 39:00SPEAKER_01: Uh what I what hate what let just go on a rant here.
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: What I hate about that guy, man, when he runs, he's always looking to stiff arm somebody into the ground because he can't really throw, he's not a good thrower.
- 39:13SPEAKER_01: So he's a quarterback that they run into options with, and he's consistently looking for a defender to just grab him by the helmet and just shove his face into the ground.
- 39:23SPEAKER_01: And it's always so satisfying to see somebody just still tackle him.
- 39:27SPEAKER_01: Uh, but still, that just drives me nuts.
- 39:30SPEAKER_01: That side note some stiff farming pupil, Daniel Jones.
- 39:33SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 39:34SPEAKER_00: It is it is got he's he's kind of like a goofy runner, too.
- 39:38SPEAKER_00: It looks funny when he does it.
- 39:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he catches you off guard and he puts your face in the ground.
- 39:44SPEAKER_01: He's that sneaky bastard.
- 39:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, he's like he is a good runner, but he it's just a little looks a little awkward to me.
- 39:51SPEAKER_01: But uh anyway, so um Giants side.
- 39:55SPEAKER_01: I mean, Malik Neighbors is like your your only guy that you're starring with comfort, and Tyrone Tracy actually looks really good.
- 40:02SPEAKER_01: Um, but outside of that, uh Wandell Robinson, you know, he's a lower end flex, right?
- 40:08SPEAKER_01: Um, nobody else on the Giants I really want to touch Daniel Jones' ass.
- 40:13SPEAKER_01: Um, and then you go on to the other side, the Panthers.
- 40:16SPEAKER_01: Uh Chuba Hubbard has been solid.
- 40:18SPEAKER_01: Uh but but you know, overall the team has a very low ceiling in general.
- 40:24SPEAKER_01: Um, wide receiver Xavier Legesse, their best receiver right now, which is not saying a lot.
- 40:30SPEAKER_01: So, you know, I'm not gonna start him with any confidence.
- 40:32SPEAKER_01: He's more of a lower end flex as well.
- 40:34SPEAKER_01: So you're gonna see these two teams kind of struggle, go it go at each other, and they're gonna hit each other over hand fist style until one of them taps out.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and dude, I mean, low end flex is pretty much that summarizes that that whole game.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: I feel like every player, aside from Chuba Hubbard, who's probably gonna give you better than that, um, Tyrone Tracy's kind of unpredictable.
- 40:59SPEAKER_00: I like the guy.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: I have I have him in every single league, and I do like him, especially this week against the Panthers.
- 41:07SPEAKER_00: Uh, but he had a down week last week, and it's you know, it's it's one of those things where if if you actually look over the like the last four or five weeks, he's like boom, a boom game, and then a bust, and then a boom game, then a bust.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: And it's unpredictable.
- 41:23SPEAKER_00: I would I would say low-end flex is is pretty much what you should expect from most players.
- 41:28SPEAKER_01: Well, Panthers is the worst rush defense in the league.
- 41:31SPEAKER_01: So that's why I like him this week.
- 41:34SPEAKER_01: Well, that's what I'm saying.
- 41:35SPEAKER_01: This is gonna be his game to to actually have a good game.
- 41:39SPEAKER_01: So he's not gonna not run against them, but that's why I was saying he's a good he's a solid start this week.
- 41:45SPEAKER_01: You're you're gonna start him and feel good about it.
- 41:47SPEAKER_01: You're gonna get a good 15 to 18 points because that's pretty much the only points the Giants are gonna score is gonna be on the ground through him.
- 41:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and Juan Dale is one of those dudes that'll get you know 10 targets, but he'll only get like 20 yards.
- 42:00SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
- 42:01SPEAKER_00: I mean PPR gets you 12 points.
- 42:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean PPR PPR, it's it's pretty he's got a pretty solid floor, but his ceiling is is pretty low.
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: Low floor, low ceiling, yeah.
- 42:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think Chuba and um Chuba and Tyrone Tracer are the only guys you're starting with confidence in that game.
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: And Malik neighbors.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: Of course, Malik neighbors.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: Fuck am I thinking?
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: Well, Manny, it's time for our shit call of the week.
- 42:40SPEAKER_00: Now, for my shit call, this is something I wanted to mention last week and I forgot.
- 42:44SPEAKER_00: It's actually not my shit call of the week.
- 42:47SPEAKER_00: Since we're past the halfway mark in the season, I want to revisit a call I made during preseason.
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: I said that Anthony Richardson had the potential to be a top three quarterback.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: Clearly, I was wrong.
- 43:01SPEAKER_00: And you and you cannot blame injuries for his poor for for his poor performance either.
- 43:08SPEAKER_00: Uh he's a total bust.
- 43:10SPEAKER_00: You know, that's all that's all there is to it.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: I mean, we had a small sample size, and I said that.
- 43:15SPEAKER_00: Hey, I know we're I know we only have three games, but man, those three games, he looked great.
- 43:20SPEAKER_00: Then he comes in week one, looks awesome, and then he just disappeared.
- 43:24SPEAKER_00: And yeah, he was injured for a couple games, but that's not why he's not playing well.
- 43:29SPEAKER_00: He's just not playing well.
- 43:31SPEAKER_00: And when you see those flashes of greatness that we saw last year, and you see that he's fully recovered from an injury, you think he's gonna come back and just pick up where he left off.
- 43:42SPEAKER_00: He did it for one week, that's all we got.
- 43:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and don't worry, I was there with you.
- 43:49SPEAKER_01: I thought he could also be really good.
- 43:51SPEAKER_01: I mean, he had the physical tools and he looked the part, he just doesn't have the heart, you know.
- 43:57SPEAKER_01: You could look the part, but if he ain't got the heart.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: You're nothing but a fart.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: That's a good one.
- 44:03SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 44:05SPEAKER_01: That was actually Mark Twain.
- 44:10SPEAKER_01: Yes, sir.
- 44:12SPEAKER_01: But, anyways, uh, for my shit call, um, it was a game that I picked.
- 44:18SPEAKER_01: I did pick an honorable mention of the uh Falcons versus the Cowboys.
- 44:23SPEAKER_01: I said that there's gonna be some fireworks.
- 44:25SPEAKER_01: Well, that show was a dud, ladies and gentlemen.
- 44:28SPEAKER_01: Um, Falcons won 27 uh to 21 to the Cowboys.
- 44:33SPEAKER_01: Uh, it was a shit show.
- 44:35SPEAKER_01: Cowboys were just like looking like bums, uh, completely choking, to the point where they actually caught Dak on the sideline saying, Damn, we suck.
- 44:45SPEAKER_00: No way, really.
- 44:46SPEAKER_00: I missed that.
- 44:47SPEAKER_01: They they got him on like you know how they have the like the the lip reading and stuff, yeah, yeah.
- 44:53SPEAKER_01: When it's clear as day with not the not the bad one, but you know, like they they they caught they recorded him, like and and if you take out the volume, take out everything, like, and you just lip read them, he goes, damn, we suck.
- 45:09SPEAKER_01: Like it's kind of like that other um the other day when T D got mad at Dak and he said that was a mediocre throw or something like that.
- 45:18SPEAKER_01: That was a a weak throw.
- 45:20SPEAKER_01: So when he was crit critiquing his uh his passes at the end of the game, so you could you could read lips on certain players because they're very expressive with the way they talk.
- 45:30SPEAKER_01: So that that's what I was saying there.
- 45:32SPEAKER_01: So um I think Dak just got paid, man.
- 45:35SPEAKER_01: He's done.
- 45:36SPEAKER_01: I mean he's right off into the sunset.
- 45:40SPEAKER_00: You know, it's similar, he's a similar quarterback to Tua, whereas you see so much talent and so much potential that and and I mean they both finished as as some of the the top receivers last year, but um they they're both injury prone and inconsistent, so it's hard to start them every week with confidence.
- 46:02SPEAKER_00: And what what are what is the what is the uh Jalen Cowboys record?
- 46:08SPEAKER_00: Oh the Cowboys record?
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: Um three and five.
- 46:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, man.
- 46:11SPEAKER_00: I mean, the Cowboys, even though like Daldo had a good game, it was sloppy, you know.
- 46:16SPEAKER_00: That that end zone uh catch that he made was pretty lucky, and overall that game was was pretty sloppy.
- 46:25SPEAKER_00: And yeah, the score, the total 48 points.
- 46:28SPEAKER_00: Um it's not bad, but when you're watching the game, it was not good.
- 46:33SPEAKER_00: Like none of none of that production looked good.
- 46:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 46:38SPEAKER_01: And and it gives me a chance to like talk shit about the Cowboys because their defense just isn't the same without that Dan Quinn.
- 46:46SPEAKER_01: Like their defense is just like getting blown up.
- 46:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Trayvon Diggs is great, he's great, but they're undersized at the linebacker position.
- 46:54SPEAKER_00: But it's been all year, it's been all year.
- 46:56SPEAKER_00: Like I I drafted them, you know, towards towards the end of the draft.
- 47:00SPEAKER_00: I picked them up in a couple leagues, and you know, you're hanging on to them for two, three weeks thinking, all right, they're gonna get it together, and they didn't.
- 47:11SPEAKER_01: Well, ladies and gentlemen, it's that time of the day that we all hate.
- 47:16SPEAKER_01: It's time to go.
