Transcript
- 0:07Speaker 1: The Season with Peter Schrager is a production of the
- 0:09Speaker 1: NFL in partnership with iHeartRadio. All Right, what's up, everybody?
- 0:25Speaker 1: This is The Season with Peter Schriker. Greetings from Detroit,
- 0:28Speaker 1: Michigan in a hotel room. Still, Aaron wan Kaufman is
- 0:32Speaker 1: joining me. We are literally two inches away from each other.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Aaron, this is the closest we've ever been.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Yeah, we've been away from each other for a long time.
- 0:40Speaker 1: A lot of remote ones, had a lot of remote podcasts.
- 0:43Speaker 1: All right, So part one was me emptying the notebook,
- 0:45Speaker 1: and I think there's a lot of good information in
- 0:47Speaker 1: that one. If I still was writing and I was
- 0:49Speaker 1: on a website, I would have done a huge article
- 0:53Speaker 1: with all that stuff and it would have gone bananas
- 0:55Speaker 1: because I think there's a lot of good information. So
- 0:57Speaker 1: go find that and it will help inform you on
- 0:59Speaker 1: how your team is going to look. And then this
- 1:01Speaker 1: is going to be a separate podcast. This is my
- 1:03Speaker 1: mock draft. And I think if we simply put the
- 1:06Speaker 1: title of this one as Peter's final mock draft and
- 1:10Speaker 1: then parentheses for now in parentheses, Yeah, how about Peter's
- 1:19Speaker 1: final twenty twenty four mock draft? Parentheses for now. I
- 1:24Speaker 1: think that's what it is. Because we're recording this at
- 1:26Speaker 1: four o'clock Eastern, and I promise you I have you
- 1:29Speaker 1: guys were here, I have multiple multiple g I'm gonna
- 1:36Speaker 1: show you, Aaron. This is just from a this. Look
- 1:37Speaker 1: at this list of names. These are big names here.
- 1:40Speaker 1: These are guys these texting me. What do you got?
- 1:42Speaker 1: What do you think? What do you So? This is
- 1:45Speaker 1: at a four o'clock but it might change. Am I
- 1:47Speaker 1: allowed to do that? This is content moment in time? Yeah?
- 1:51Speaker 1: All right, So it's two point zero final at Asterix.
- 1:55Speaker 1: All right, number one. The Bears will select Caleb Williams
- 2:00Speaker 1: USC quarterback. I think this one is a done deal,
- 2:03Speaker 1: the same way Trevor Lawrence, Andrew Locke, Peyton Manning have
- 2:07Speaker 1: been done deals in the past two As I described
- 2:10Speaker 1: in my previous part one of today's two podcasts. I
- 2:15Speaker 1: think it is Jaden Daniels. I said I'd put my
- 2:18Speaker 1: name on it. I don't know. If I put it
- 2:20Speaker 1: an ink, I'd probably say I'm ninety ten On this one.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna say Jaden Daniels to Washington. Everything smooths over,
- 2:26Speaker 1: and he is the next quarterback of the Commanders. Number three,
- 2:30Speaker 1: the New England Patriots. I go, Drake May. The analogy
- 2:35Speaker 1: once again, if you don't listen to the first part.
- 2:37Speaker 1: The analogy for me with the Patriots is this, You've
- 2:39Speaker 1: got a beautiful house at the end of the block.
- 2:42Speaker 1: It's a gorgeous mansion, and it has a for sale
- 2:44Speaker 1: sign on and people do. You'd see cars pulling up
- 2:48Speaker 1: and seeing this mansion, and they've walked through it and
- 2:50Speaker 1: they never sell the house. But they like being flattered.
- 2:53Speaker 1: They like being told how much they can sell the
- 2:55Speaker 1: house for. They like hearing the They're not selling the house.
- 2:57Speaker 1: It's their dream house. They spent the last three years
- 2:59Speaker 1: building this thing. They're not going to just sell it.
- 3:02Speaker 1: And they get a new mortgage and figure it all
- 3:04Speaker 1: out and refinance. No, it all right. That was really
- 3:07Speaker 1: deep cut real estate talk there. I've got the Patriots
- 3:11Speaker 1: that can, Drake May. At three four, the Arizona Cardinals
- 3:14Speaker 1: select Marvis Harrison Junior, three picks in the top thirty five.
- 3:19Speaker 1: At some point you have to start fielding a team.
- 3:21Speaker 1: What you've heard is right that Maniasapfort said he doesn't
- 3:24Speaker 1: want to hear any trade offers. Is he even engaging
- 3:26Speaker 1: in that stuff until the day of which is tomorrow.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Well that's good because I don't know if there's any
- 3:33Speaker 1: pick or package that is worthy of them getting out
- 3:36Speaker 1: of taking Marvin Harrison at four. Now we get interesting.
- 3:39Speaker 1: All right, this could all change. I'm telling you by
- 3:42Speaker 1: the time I put my final final, final thing is
- 3:45Speaker 1: going to be whatever goes online tonight and whatever's on
- 3:48Speaker 1: Good Morning Football in the morning. But as of right now,
- 3:53Speaker 1: fifth overall, I have the LA Chargers taking. I'm going
- 4:03Speaker 1: back and forth on what I would say. Right now,
- 4:06Speaker 1: all the Chargers do not trade, the Chargers keep the pick,
- 4:11Speaker 1: and the Chargers select J. C. Latham. I love that
- 4:15Speaker 1: out of Alabama.
- 4:17Speaker 2: I didn't say it on the first episode, but I
- 4:19Speaker 2: love all the JAC Latham talking.
- 4:21Speaker 1: It's out of nowhere. It's why the process is so good.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I've got him going fifth overall to the Chargers. Okay,
- 4:30Speaker 1: we've got to change my right I'm doing this for
- 4:32Speaker 1: my word doc, and I got to change the right Oak.
- 4:33Speaker 1: So you know, screw it. I've heard enough JC Latham rumors.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Let's go with it. Six giants, This WI knock you
- 4:39Speaker 1: on your ass now. Andrew Siciliano, my dear former colleague
- 4:44Speaker 1: now donfl network. But still my friend came out with
- 4:47Speaker 1: this beauty. JJ McCarthy just told the Rich Eyesen Show
- 4:51Speaker 1: that he spent his most time in the pre draft
- 4:53Speaker 1: process with the Giants. Okay, so Giants fans realize they're
- 4:57Speaker 1: not wasting your time. They're doing it. But I don't
- 5:00Speaker 1: have them taking JJ McCarthy. That means Joe Alt is
- 5:02Speaker 1: on the table that is a perfect fit for the Giants.
- 5:05Speaker 1: But Joe all one side, take Andrew Thomas on the other.
- 5:08Speaker 1: You move Evan Kneel inside and you've got a brick wall.
- 5:11Speaker 1: They're not taking Joel Okay, Well, then they're gonna take
- 5:13Speaker 1: Melik Neighbors, who is in many eyes, the best wide
- 5:16Speaker 1: receiver in this draft he can compete with. They're not
- 5:19Speaker 1: taking Molik Neighbors with the sixth overall pick. I got
- 5:22Speaker 1: the New York Giants tacking Roma Dutensay out of Washington.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Let's go. I don't have a single person at the
- 5:27Speaker 1: Giants organization telling me they like Roma dounsay. I don't
- 5:29Speaker 1: even know if they've met with Roma Donsay. This is
- 5:32Speaker 1: from various connecting of dots and that they need a
- 5:36Speaker 1: wide receiver and I don't think they're a neighbors team.
- 5:38Speaker 1: I just don't, so I'm gonna go roma dunsay. And
- 5:41Speaker 1: that's one where Giants fans live and die by my word,
- 5:43Speaker 1: because I had a lot of Giants picks right over
- 5:45Speaker 1: the last couple of years. I'm telling you, guys, I'm
- 5:47Speaker 1: guessing here and until I update it tonight or change it,
- 5:51Speaker 1: this one, to me is one of those where you
- 5:52Speaker 1: connect the dots and you say, a dounsay is all world,
- 5:56Speaker 1: all everything. He can be a number one wide receiver.
- 5:58Speaker 1: He checks every box person wise, checks every box health wise.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Giants get a cornerstone. They get their wide receiver. A
- 6:04Speaker 1: dounsay at six, which leads to seven. The Tennessee Titans
- 6:10Speaker 1: do like Joe Alt. I can tell you that the
- 6:12Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans really like Malik Neighbors. I could tell you
- 6:16Speaker 1: that Tennessee Titans also might really like J. C. Latham.
- 6:22Speaker 1: You have three different players right there. You're sitting there
- 6:25Speaker 1: at seven. I currently have the Tennessee Titans as the
- 6:29Speaker 1: team that trades out of the seventh overall pick, and
- 6:34Speaker 1: I have them moving back just four spots, and I've
- 6:38Speaker 1: got the Minnesota Vikings moving up to seven Minnesota selecting
- 6:42Speaker 1: JJ McCarthy. My connection there the gms ran Carthon and
- 6:47Speaker 1: Quaciadofo Mensa. They have a long history together. They worked
- 6:50Speaker 1: at San Francisco together. There's a relationship there. Tennessee does
- 6:54Speaker 1: not have to move back all the way. They could
- 6:56Speaker 1: still get one of these top offensive alignment or potentially
- 6:58Speaker 1: a wide receiver if they fall, and they also get
- 7:02Speaker 1: to trade with a team that's outside the conference, so
- 7:04Speaker 1: I don't have to face this guy in the playoffs.
- 7:06Speaker 1: And if you're Minnesota, what would the compensation be. So
- 7:09Speaker 1: this is where it's interesting. I think if you move
- 7:11Speaker 1: up four spots, it's the eleventh pick, and it's not
- 7:15Speaker 1: the twenty third pick. It's a bunch of future things.
- 7:18Speaker 1: And I say that as like whatever, we could figure
- 7:21Speaker 1: that out first round or second round or whatever it is.
- 7:24Speaker 1: It's probably a first round pick over the next two drafts,
- 7:29Speaker 1: but it's at least the eleventh and it's not the
- 7:32Speaker 1: twenty third. That's the key thing. Minnesota holds on to
- 7:35Speaker 1: the twenty third, they still get JJ McCarthy. I said
- 7:41Speaker 1: this earlier today. I think that the Vikings like Drake
- 7:44Speaker 1: may more than JJ McCarthy I think they like Michael Pennix.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I think they've got McCarthy above Penix. I think the
- 7:51Speaker 1: order would be Drake May bit of a gap, JJ McCarthy,
- 7:56Speaker 1: less of a gap, Michael Pennox. That's how I see it.
- 7:59Speaker 1: So do they have the courage to just sit and
- 8:01Speaker 1: hold tight at eleven and take Pennix if McCarthy's off
- 8:03Speaker 1: the board. Maybe, And that might be how my mock
- 8:07Speaker 1: draft finishes up, no joke. I might have the Raiders
- 8:10Speaker 1: or the Broncos trade up and get McCarthy when it's
- 8:13Speaker 1: all said and none. But for now, let's go seven
- 8:15Speaker 1: Minnesota to McCarthy. Eight Atlanta Dallas Turner, defensive end Alabama.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I don't see them taking another wide out and Neighbors
- 8:24Speaker 1: is on the board. I don't see them taking another
- 8:25Speaker 1: tight end Bowers on the board. I don't see them
- 8:27Speaker 1: going offensive line. I see them taking the best pass
- 8:29Speaker 1: rusher Dallas Turner to Atlanta. Now we get real crazy.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Number nine is the Chicago Bears. They've already taken Kayleb
- 8:36Speaker 1: Williams that do not have a second round pick. I
- 8:38Speaker 1: have a trade, all right, this is hard to follow, Aaron.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I've got the Indianapolis Colts moving up from fifteen to nine,
- 8:46Speaker 1: and you're thinking it's neighbors, it's actually Brock Bowers. Ooh,
- 8:50Speaker 1: I love that.
- 8:51Speaker 2: A great, like incredible pass catcher for your young quarterback
- 8:57Speaker 2: who has shown promise but probably needs a little bit
- 9:00Speaker 2: more of a reliable receiver than just Wow, Pitman, Pittman,
- 9:04Speaker 2: piers right, Josh Down.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Yeah, nice job. And I was gonna forard about Josh Downs. Yeah,
- 9:09Speaker 1: I so did the Colts late in the season. Yeah, okay,
- 9:12Speaker 1: you must have had it on your fantasy team. We
- 9:14Speaker 1: go Brock Bowers here. I'm a fan, that's the thing. Like,
- 9:18Speaker 1: I'm a fan of football. I've been hearing about Rock
- 9:20Speaker 1: Bowers for three years. He's the cleanest prospect. Everyone tells
- 9:22Speaker 1: me this. It's Doonsay and Bowers are the cleanest, meaning
- 9:25Speaker 1: no red flags, medical, no red flags the tape, no
- 9:29Speaker 1: red flags, any of the workouts, nothing. Brock Bowers goes
- 9:33Speaker 1: top ten and they get him before the Jets, which
- 9:35Speaker 1: everyone tells me the Jets are like the backstop for
- 9:38Speaker 1: Brock Bowers. So then what number ten? The New York Jets.
- 9:43Speaker 1: And I've had the New York Jets pick right the
- 9:44Speaker 1: last several years. So everyone is listening, like, who's he
- 9:47Speaker 1: got for the Jets, I said brock Bowers the first
- 9:49Speaker 1: time around. Aaron, here's where the New York Jets, with
- 9:55Speaker 1: the tenth overall pick, take Maleek Neighbors out of LSU.
- 9:59Speaker 1: So the Giants go with Donsay, the Jets go Neighbors
- 10:03Speaker 1: with all these offensive line and like, look, Joe Douglas
- 10:06Speaker 1: might want to trade back, they might want to take
- 10:07Speaker 1: fu Wanga. They might do. I'm gonna go New York Jets.
- 10:11Speaker 1: At the end of the day, Woody Johnson and Aaron
- 10:15Speaker 1: Rodgers say, if that Malik Neighbors is on the board,
- 10:20Speaker 1: get me Mylak Neighbors. Tennessee's at eleven, they're sitting there.
- 10:25Speaker 1: They take Joe Alt, who might be the best prospect
- 10:27Speaker 1: in this entire draft, the cleanest prospect. Now we're all
- 10:30Speaker 1: over the board, right, I mean, Tennessee still gets Joe
- 10:33Speaker 1: Wall at eleventh overall and picks up a future first.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Sounds pretty good. I'll have to update my right up there.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Bronco's at twelve. I'm tempted to just give them bo
- 10:44Speaker 1: Nicks here, but I'm gonna go offensive line. I'm gonna
- 10:47Speaker 1: go Tali. That's what I'm told. Tali fu Wanga out
- 10:49Speaker 1: of Oregon State. Tally is what Field Theates told us.
- 10:52Speaker 1: He goes by right, Tali, Tali Fuanga. It doesn't make
- 10:56Speaker 1: a lot of sense on paper because they already have mclinchy.
- 10:59Speaker 1: But mclinchy's contract is nearly up and they signed him
- 11:03Speaker 1: last year. I'm sorry, Bowls is nearly up. So whatever
- 11:05Speaker 1: it is, I just add him. You move Fuwanga to
- 11:07Speaker 1: guard and you get one of the top guys, and
- 11:10Speaker 1: that's that. Now the question is do I change that
- 11:13Speaker 1: between tonight and tomorrow? Do I have them moving up
- 11:16Speaker 1: and going and getting JJ McCarthy instead of the Vikings.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Maybe I've got to do more calls on this. Do
- 11:23Speaker 1: I have them taking bo Nicks? Maybe? Whatever? For now,
- 11:27Speaker 1: Fuaga to the Broncos Raiders at thirteen, I don't know
- 11:41Speaker 1: what the hell to do with them. None of my
- 11:42Speaker 1: sources in Vegas can confirm that they like Michael Pennox,
- 11:45Speaker 1: but everyone else around the league tells me they love
- 11:47Speaker 1: Michael Pennix. I've got relationships with guys in Vegas. I've
- 11:50Speaker 1: asked them. They won't tell me. So what do I do?
- 11:53Speaker 1: Raiders take Michael Pennix fourteen Saints. I go with offensive
- 11:58Speaker 1: tackle Olu Fashanu penn State fifteen is now the Bears.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I have them going defensive tackle Byron Murphy out of Texas.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I told you in the last podcast and the Empty
- 12:11Speaker 1: and the Notebook. I think his stock is rising at
- 12:14Speaker 1: the right time. Bears trade out of nine. They miss
- 12:17Speaker 1: out on Neighbors, they miss out on Bowers, they miss
- 12:20Speaker 1: out on a lot of these tackles, including Joe Alt.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Now that we're looking at it, which is crazy. Wow,
- 12:26Speaker 1: Maybe I wouldn't have them trade if Joe Alt on
- 12:28Speaker 1: the board. Ooh, that's tempting. Anyway, they got a second
- 12:32Speaker 1: round pick, and instead they pick up Byron Murphy out
- 12:35Speaker 1: of Texas. Sixteen. We got a trade Aaron Seahawks trade out,
- 12:41Speaker 1: Eagles trade up. Eagles take Terry and Arnold out of Alabama.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Cornerback seventeen Jaguars. This one's fun Jaguars. I've got the
- 12:52Speaker 1: Jaguars going with Xavier Worthy, the burner. He's the fourth
- 12:56Speaker 1: wide receiver off the board. At one point, I was like,
- 12:58Speaker 1: I don't know if he's still the first round pick.
- 13:01Speaker 1: I've got Worthy going to the Jaguars. They were left
- 13:03Speaker 1: at the altar when Calvin Ridley left. They picked up
- 13:05Speaker 1: a big boy and Gabe Davis. Now they get a burner.
- 13:08Speaker 1: I think this is higher than anyone else has. Xavier Worthy.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I got them going seventeen to the Jaguars.
- 13:14Speaker 2: And is the fourth wide receiver.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Fourth wide receiver taken. All right, eighteen is the Bengals.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I've got them going Quinion Mitchell Corner out of Toledo.
- 13:23Speaker 1: They stay local, they get an outstanding athlete, and Mitchell
- 13:26Speaker 1: stays in the state of Ohio and plays for coach
- 13:29Speaker 1: loua and Roumo, who is one of the best defensive
- 13:32Speaker 1: backs coaches in the history of the game. All Right,
- 13:34Speaker 1: now we're at nineteen. This is where we get more trades.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I said it multiple times. I think the Rams are
- 13:43Speaker 1: going to take an offensive player at their first pick.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Chean McVay has never made a first round pick. I
- 13:47Speaker 1: don't think it comes here. I think the Rams trade out.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I have a trade partner. I've got the Kansas City
- 13:52Speaker 1: Chiefs moving up and going from thirty two to nineteen,
- 13:57Speaker 1: swapping their second rounder. Also, they give their first and
- 13:59Speaker 1: their second. I tell me, let's stop right here before
- 14:02Speaker 1: I tell you what they're taking. Are all these trades
- 14:04Speaker 1: annoying you think if you're listening, or all these trades fun?
- 14:07Speaker 2: I love this, and especially because I think there's been
- 14:10Speaker 2: a lot of talk over the past couple of weeks
- 14:12Speaker 2: about trades in the top ten. And yes, you know,
- 14:16Speaker 2: like the Cardinals not even wanting to engage in trade
- 14:19Speaker 2: talks until tomorrow morning means maybe nothing happens there. And
- 14:23Speaker 2: so the idea of there being so many trades from
- 14:26Speaker 2: nine to twenty five is incredible because usually like the
- 14:30Speaker 2: middle of the first round, like it might slow down
- 14:33Speaker 2: a little bit. But if there's this much movement, I
- 14:35Speaker 2: mean you saw you can't see me because it's a podcast,
- 14:38Speaker 2: but I am perking up every time you say a trade,
- 14:41Speaker 2: because here I am in this fantasy of this you know,
- 14:45Speaker 2: final mock draft for now of like, oh, are the
- 14:48Speaker 2: Bills moving up for Bryant's job? So like and maybe
- 14:53Speaker 2: you know the fact that like there's so much movement
- 14:55Speaker 2: in late again and.
- 14:56Speaker 1: And I'm gonna interrupt you, I might have the Broncos
- 14:59Speaker 1: moving up to nine instead of it. It might all change.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I'm just telling you there's gonna be trades and there's
- 15:03Speaker 1: gonna be maneuvering and the JJ McCarthy thing is a
- 15:08Speaker 1: huge trigger. But also all of these kind of spots
- 15:11Speaker 1: in the corner. So like I have the Eagles trading
- 15:12Speaker 1: up to get Terry and Arnold, Well, that's because he's
- 15:14Speaker 1: the top corner on the board and he's falling in
- 15:16Speaker 1: this mount draft to sixteen.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's that's part of it, is like so
- 15:20Speaker 2: much talk about quarterbacks, so much talk about wide receivers,
- 15:23Speaker 2: and there's gonna be great offensive line guys who are falling.
- 15:25Speaker 2: There's gonna be great cornerbacks like Quiney on Mitchell at eighteen.
- 15:29Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know. I think this is oh
- 15:32Speaker 2: and yeah, I love how many trades you have sort
- 15:35Speaker 2: of going in this middle of the red.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Thank you nineteen Chiefs. They take Amarus Mims, offensive tackle
- 15:41Speaker 1: out of Georgia, just a monster. Zeus Brown obviously has
- 15:46Speaker 1: moved on. They've had a lot of different movement at
- 15:48Speaker 1: the tackle position over the last several years. Amarius Mims
- 15:53Speaker 1: is an absolute monster. And if I'm being honest, I
- 15:57Speaker 1: could see the Rams being not only a trade back
- 15:59Speaker 1: team at nineteen, a multiple trade back team. The Rams
- 16:02Speaker 1: they love, love love to score on Day two in
- 16:06Speaker 1: Day three, and if you look at their success rate
- 16:08Speaker 1: over the last couple of years, they have nailed a bunch.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Their whole team has been built that way. I don't
- 16:12Speaker 1: think it's out of the question that they just trade
- 16:14Speaker 1: out of the first round. So let's have the Rams
- 16:17Speaker 1: trading out, the Chiefs trading up, which leaves the Steelers
- 16:20Speaker 1: at twenty our fifth wide receiver, take and I go.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Brian Thomas wide receiver out of LSU. Excellent player. And
- 16:29Speaker 1: the one thing I would say with Pittsburgh, and I've
- 16:30Speaker 1: noticed before when they made that trade to get Russell Wilson,
- 16:34Speaker 1: and then they made that trade, they signed Russell, they
- 16:39Speaker 1: traded traded Russell and also traded for Justin Field and
- 16:41Speaker 1: they signed They signed Russ They've traded for justin Field.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Everyone in the league was like, all right, what are
- 16:47Speaker 1: they doing at wide receiver? They've done anything wide receiver.
- 16:49Speaker 1: So Brandon and I and Brandon Eyuk is the name
- 16:53Speaker 1: everyone's watching. Brian Thomas twentieth overall would make a lot
- 16:57Speaker 1: of sense a wide receiver. Twenty one. We got another
- 17:00Speaker 1: trade pal Dolphins trade out, Lions trade up, Lions trade up.
- 17:05Speaker 1: In the Lions a pass rusher to go with in Hutchinson.
- 17:08Speaker 1: They take Jared Verse out of Florida State at twenty one,
- 17:12Speaker 1: and this place will go electric, like, oh, who we
- 17:14Speaker 1: take it and say Jared Verse since we want of those?
- 17:16Speaker 1: Like okay, great? Uh twenty two I have Seattle now
- 17:23Speaker 1: because they made a trade with the Eagles and they
- 17:25Speaker 1: go with Fatanu, the big tackle out of Washington. Boring,
- 17:30Speaker 1: but the offensive coordinator, Ryan Grubb was with Fatanu there
- 17:35Speaker 1: might be medical stuff there. That's one of those where
- 17:37Speaker 1: like there's like a little asterisk. I'm not sure exactly what,
- 17:39Speaker 1: but I've heard like it's not as it's not as
- 17:41Speaker 1: clean as everyone wants. So I dinged him a little bit.
- 17:44Speaker 1: He goes down to twenty two, which is the lowest
- 17:45Speaker 1: I've seen him drafted. This is the offensive tackle out
- 17:48Speaker 1: of Washington. Twenty three. The Vikings kept their pick. The
- 17:51Speaker 1: Vikings take kool Aid McKinstry, defensive back out of Alabama.
- 17:56Speaker 1: It's kind a ton of swag. He is I think
- 17:59Speaker 1: either the first, second or third corner taken in this draft.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I've got him in this simulation as the third gone.
- 18:05Speaker 1: He goes twenty three to minutes, which means the Vikings
- 18:08Speaker 1: would get JJ McCarthy and kool Aid McKinstry a pretty
- 18:10Speaker 1: good haul in the first round for those guys. Cowboys.
- 18:15Speaker 1: At twenty four, we go with Tyler Geiton, offensive tackle
- 18:18Speaker 1: out of Oklahoma. Cooper Dejeen out of Odebolt, Iowa, town
- 18:32Speaker 1: of nine hundred. He's going to go to the Green
- 18:35Speaker 1: Bay Packers. Do you think he'll be a fan favorite?
- 18:37Speaker 1: I think he will. Twenty six Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They
- 18:41Speaker 1: go interior offensive line. I got them going Graham Barton
- 18:44Speaker 1: out of Duke twenty seven Cardinals. They keep the pick,
- 18:48Speaker 1: they go Darius Robinson defensive line at a Missouri twenty eight. Aaron,
- 18:53Speaker 1: you're Buffalo Bills. Let's see, let's put you on the clock.
- 18:55Speaker 1: A lot of guys out there. Is there anyone in
- 18:56Speaker 1: particular you're looking at?
- 18:57Speaker 2: You know? The one name that I have sort of
- 19:01Speaker 2: sneakily wanted for the Bills is Cooper Dejeen. So I'm
- 19:03Speaker 2: a little bummed he's gone, But I think at this
- 19:06Speaker 2: point I'd love to see the Bills take eighty Mitchell.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Despite all the potential problems in red flags we've got
- 19:11Speaker 2: with him, I think he would be a nice addition
- 19:14Speaker 2: to the autum.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Twenty eighth overall, the Buffalo Bills select ad Mitchell. That's
- 19:17Speaker 1: what I have awesome. Twenty nine the Dolphins traded down,
- 19:21Speaker 1: they still get Chop Robinson, okay, which leads to thirty.
- 19:26Speaker 1: And there's a player that I had in the top
- 19:27Speaker 1: twelve last mock draft who's now going thirtieth overall. I
- 19:30Speaker 1: feel terrible. I think a Lot too out of UCLA
- 19:33Speaker 1: goes to the Ravens all the way down there at thirty,
- 19:35Speaker 1: I think he's like twenty to thirty as opposed to
- 19:39Speaker 1: ten to twenty, which is where I think most people
- 19:41Speaker 1: had him. So Lot two to the Ravens. And then
- 19:43Speaker 1: we finished with the forty nine ers. I keep them
- 19:45Speaker 1: having Lad McConkie. I love that one. I think that's
- 19:47Speaker 1: just perfect. And then thirty two. I told you I'm
- 19:51Speaker 1: would have a team trade up into the end of
- 19:53Speaker 1: the one. I've got the Rams to thirty second pick
- 19:55Speaker 1: and have them trading out of it again. And I've
- 19:58Speaker 1: got the New England Patriots trading up to thirty two
- 20:01Speaker 1: to jump the Carolina Panthers, who will likely take a
- 20:03Speaker 1: wide receiver at thirty three. And I've got the Patriot
- 20:06Speaker 1: taking Xavier leget out of South Carolina, meaning the Patriots
- 20:11Speaker 1: would have quarterbacks Drake May and Jacoby Brissett and their
- 20:15Speaker 1: wide receiver would be Xavier Leaguet out of South Carolina.
- 20:20Speaker 1: That's how they would do it. The Rams guys too
- 20:23Speaker 1: busy partying at their draft house in Hermosa Beach, they
- 20:25Speaker 1: fall asleep, they end up trading out and they do
- 20:28Speaker 1: not have a first round pick. So that is how
- 20:31Speaker 1: we have it. Do you want me to rattle through
- 20:33Speaker 1: it one last time? Yeah, let's go. Okay, so we
- 20:36Speaker 1: did all that explanations. If you're listening at.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Home as of four o'clock and it's going to.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Change, guys, well, this is how the exercise was done.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I've been on the phones the last couple of days
- 20:46Speaker 1: and here's where we're at. Bears Caleb Williams, Commanders, Jaden Daniels,
- 20:50Speaker 1: Patriots Drake May, Cardinals Marvin Harrison. Chargers no trade take
- 20:55Speaker 1: JC Latham fifth overall, Giants take Roma Doonesay wide receivers
- 21:02Speaker 1: sixth overall. Seven Minnesota Vikings trade up with the Tennessee Titans.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Minnesota takes JJ McCarthy. Eight, Atlanta takes Dallas Turner nine.
- 21:13Speaker 1: We have another trade. Indianapolis trades up to get brock Bowers. Ten.
- 21:19Speaker 1: The New York Jets trade up to stay the same
- 21:22Speaker 1: and they take Malik Neighbors, which I haven't seen anywhere,
- 21:25Speaker 1: and I don't know if he's gonna be around at ten,
- 21:27Speaker 1: but that's fun. Eleven. Tennessee, they traded down. They still
- 21:31Speaker 1: get Joe Alt twelve, Broncos Tali Fuaga Raiders thirteen, Michael
- 21:36Speaker 1: Pennix Saints fourteen, Olufashanu fifteen. The Bears had traded down.
- 21:40Speaker 1: They get Byron Murphy sixteen. Eagles trade up, they get
- 21:44Speaker 1: Terry and Arnold seventeen, Jaguars take Xavier Worthy eighteen. Bengals
- 21:50Speaker 1: take quine On Mitchell out of Toledo. Nineteen. The Chiefs
- 21:53Speaker 1: make a trade. They go and get Amarius Mims twenty
- 21:56Speaker 1: Steelers Brian Thomas twenty one. Lions trade up, they get
- 22:00Speaker 1: Jared Vers twenty two. Seahawks. They go and they trade back.
- 22:04Speaker 1: They get Fatanu out of Washington, the offensive Town Vikings,
- 22:08Speaker 1: kool Aid McKinstry twenty third. Overall, Cowboys stay where they're at.
- 22:12Speaker 1: They take Tyler Geiton Offensive Tackle Project out of Oklahoma.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Packers at twenty five take Cooper dejen out of Iowa.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Twenty sixth Tampa Bay takes Graham Barton interior offensive lineman
- 22:25Speaker 1: at a duke. Twenty seven Arizona Cardinals take Darius Robinson
- 22:29Speaker 1: out of Missouri. Twenty eight Buffalo Bills take a d
- 22:33Speaker 1: Mitchell wide receiver out of Texas. Twenty nine Dolphins trade
- 22:37Speaker 1: back they take Chop Robinson out of Penn State. Thirty
- 22:40Speaker 1: Baltimore Ravens take a lot To out of UCLA, forty
- 22:43Speaker 1: nine Ers, thirty one take Lad McConkie out of Georgia,
- 22:46Speaker 1: and thirty two the Patriots trade back into the first
- 22:48Speaker 1: round and they take Xavier Lagette wide receiver out of
- 22:51Speaker 1: South Carolina. A couple names not on this thing, the
- 22:54Speaker 1: Big Boy Newton out of Illinois. Not in this thing.
- 22:59Speaker 1: We no longer have Jordan Morgan out Arizona and the
- 23:02Speaker 1: Big One. I don't have bo Nicks going in the
- 23:05Speaker 1: first round.
- 23:06Speaker 2: One name you mentioned in the episode but was not
- 23:09Speaker 2: mentioned anywhere on here, and sort of the teams who
- 23:12Speaker 2: have taken wide receivers makes me think that nothing will happen.
- 23:15Speaker 2: But with the forty nine ers taking Lad McConkie do
- 23:17Speaker 2: you think that means they're they're keeping AYUKH.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Don't know insurance policy. Maconkie could play a million roles. Yah, yeah,
- 23:25Speaker 1: it makes sense. That is what I have As a
- 23:28Speaker 1: four o'clock I will not be clicking submit. I've got
- 23:30Speaker 1: a lot of phone calls to make. It's actually, in
- 23:33Speaker 1: a lot of ways exhausting exercise. But you know where
- 23:36Speaker 1: my brain is scrambled eggs wise when I've got a
- 23:39Speaker 1: mock draft and I'm trying to project ten different trades
- 23:42Speaker 1: just to try to hit the right teams and the
- 23:43Speaker 1: right guys.
- 23:44Speaker 2: And I love, I personally love hearing you do things
- 23:47Speaker 2: like oh, yeah, so the Titans are going to move down?
- 23:51Speaker 2: Oh wait no, actually if still there, they wouldn't have
- 23:54Speaker 2: moved out.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Yeah. I loved hearing that, or the other Bears Bears,
- 23:58Speaker 1: like does Joe Alt from Notre Dame not make a
- 24:02Speaker 1: ton of sense for the Bears. Yeah? Yeah. Anyway, guys,
- 24:05Speaker 1: I would say we do another one tomorrow. Maybe we can,
- 24:08Speaker 1: I don't know, but for now, post this, let's get
- 24:11Speaker 1: it up there. Mock draft final Final, Final with an
- 24:15Speaker 1: asterisk because it's final for now. Aaron, Thank you. Everybody
- 24:18Speaker 1: enjoyed the Draft. The Season with Peter Schrager is a
