- 2:01listening is just one part of the process and i always appreciate that i'm all
- 2:05over i'm all over the podcast we're a deconstructing type podcast and when you're
- 2:09waking up once again i'm inspired because today as i'm recording this.
- 2:14It's a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful morning podcast. Let's go.
- 2:19As I'm recording this, I've noticed that for back-to-back Fridays in the morning,
- 2:27I do my thing and I want people and I want this episode to be,
- 2:31I want you to listen to this because it's a little bit of one of those inspirational
- 2:34reminder kind of life stories.
- 2:37Have you woken up? Am I saying it right? Woken?
- 2:42I'm woke. Let's go. where you wake up and you say to yourself,
- 2:46I'm doing everything and everything. I started this discipline,
- 2:49but yet something happened.
- 2:51There's a word out there that they use, and I believe in the military,
- 2:55SNAPFU, which is S-N-A-F-U, SNAPFU,
- 3:01which stands for situation normal or the F you already know, F of.
- 3:08Meaning that when something seems normal, something
- 3:12kind of rattles that then it just goes mayhem and
- 3:15that's what i've been feeling on back to back mornings
- 3:20and i'll be more exactly as i'm recording this it's a beautiful friday morning
- 3:25me me me me hey listen something happened but it's my throat let's go but anyways
- 3:32back to back fridays where i wake up this discipline i'm a disciplined type
- 3:36of person i wake up very early,
- 3:38And sometimes 3.30, 3.40 o'clock in the morning.
- 3:42So I wake up, do my thing, get ready, you know, take the drink,
- 3:48go to downtown, hit the gym.
- 3:50Nice workout for at least one hour or so or 45 minutes, depending on how I'm feeling.
- 3:56Do my thing, do the shower, you know, freshen up, go to work.
- 3:59You know, I repeat that. And it's a good discipline because I am doing something.
- 4:04But you see, I leave my house at 4.25. People are like, damn,
- 4:06they're even like 4.25. Jesus, 425 in the morning?
- 4:11I did tell you that. I was born in Puerto Rico. If you ever been in El Campo,
- 4:15those, you know, countryside kind of thing, mountains in Puerto Rico,
- 4:19you're going to hear roosters at 4 o'clock, like, coo-coo-coo-coo-coo.
- 4:25You know what I'm saying? So relax.
- 4:27I got that El Gallo thing in me. No, I'm not Jake Paul. Relax.
- 4:31Well, you get the gist. I wake up in that routine, and I want people to understand it.
- 4:35It's this, and listen to what I'm saying, because I am telling you a story or
- 4:39my story or my experience, But I want you to take this because I want you to imagine this.
- 4:44You wake up, you got a routine. And not just a routine, a discipline.
- 4:48There's people that got this dip. I want to wake up. I'm going to say my prayers,
- 4:51eat my vitamins, something to that effect, right?
- 4:54For those who enjoy resting, you know what I'm talking about.
- 4:57But you want to do something. You know what I mean? You got this discipline.
- 4:59You do this every day. And you feel good about it.
- 5:02But sometimes there are things that are outside of the scope.
- 5:07Or let's say things that are not in our control. And what have happened to me
- 5:12in these last two Fridays, I wake up at, I leave my house at 425.
- 5:16I take the train on time. Then I don't know whether there's a delay and I'm
- 5:21already awake at 330 in the morning.
- 5:25Taking the train 425, I'm leaving my house.
- 5:29Yet I'm in New York City to give you an idea. By the time I head to the gym,
- 5:34It's already an hour, two hours that pass because of delays in the train and
- 5:39something happened that is beyond your control.
- 5:44And it hit me that in this morning, once again, on the same Friday,
- 5:48again, there's nothing happening.
- 5:50Warnings there's nothing that's you know normally in the train system here the
- 5:53mta there are times that say hey listen there's going to be delays uh because we fixing this,
- 5:59nothing just something that just happens that has no control and you start to
- 6:03think wow back to back fridays the same thing and it's like god and you start
- 6:09to think they might i did everything right and raise your hand raise your hand
- 6:13how many times have we done everything right everything that we have done,
- 6:18but if there's something that
- 6:20happens out of our control and we say to ourself, we start to get rattled.
- 6:24And it starts to kind of push us from what that thing or that discipline,
- 6:29it starts to kind of push us to the edge.
- 6:33And that's the way I was feeling, questioning myself, okay, what to do?
- 6:36Okay, my energy is depleting because I'm up early. I don't drink coffee in the
- 6:40morning, but I do take supplements in the morning before I work out.
- 6:44So it gives me that little buzz that's why i'm a little bit hyped right about
- 6:46now like you know what i mean.
- 6:51But it's one of those things that I'm in the training. I'm going back and forth.
- 6:57Delays here, they say, and I see some people frustrated. Hey,
- 7:00listen, it's New York City.
- 7:02Again, when it comes to delays in the training, it happens. Not constantly,
- 7:06but I always said that it's sometimes a little bit too much.
- 7:11There's people, there was a young gentleman, and I guess he was kind of complaining
- 7:15to some of the MTA workers who came.
- 7:18They were fixing their track, and he's like, hey, listen, you guys work? and I appreciate it.
- 7:22But you guys in the train making some delays here, I don't know what the hell
- 7:25is going on. But the fact is this, I got to get to work. You're at work.
- 7:31But the train is impeding me to get to work and I'm going to get a write-up
- 7:34or something to that effect.
- 7:36But you see, even that gentleman, he did his thing and he's one of the records.
- 7:41I've seen him a couple of times.
- 7:42He was a little bit frustrated because sometimes in life, and this is a lesson
- 7:47in life, It's that there are times that there are things that are beyond me.
- 7:52We have no control whatsoever.
- 7:54But don't let that dictate or even change the way you do things.
- 8:00I'm going to still wake up in the morning. I mean, whatever it is when I wake
- 8:04up, I'm still going to leave my house.
- 8:06Sometimes I like to check that MTA app, where the train is at,
- 8:09you know, so I can have an idea. Am I leaving at 425?
- 8:12Am I leaving at 430? You know, when am I leaving? You know what I mean? set myself up.
- 8:18See, that's BS. I got that little routine, that discipline.
- 8:22So don't let anything, anything stop you from what you're doing.
- 8:28Because for that one day, and again, it's going to be back-to-back Fridays.
- 8:32It just seems to be out for me.
- 8:34Friday is my last day of my work week. That means I'm going to enjoy the weekend.
- 8:39And sometimes Fridays is that feel-good day.
- 8:43You know, you get the, your bank account looks a little bit more bulky.
- 8:46You know, payday and so on and so forth.
- 8:50But you still wake up, hey, listen, I got bills to pay. You understand?
- 8:53You still got to do those things. You still got to follow that routine.
- 8:58And what happened is that for me, and one of the lessons is that it was throwing
- 9:03me off. And I was in the train. And I was feeding.
- 9:05I saw all the passengers frustrated, griping. And I'm like, I'm feeding their energy.
- 9:11There's a train station. I sound our name a little bit notorious.
- 9:15You got preachers in the morning talking about jesus you got others talking about allah,
- 9:22you got people asking for money asking for help and it's only 5 45 in the morning,
- 9:32and if you're in new york city you already know maybe well there's some couple
- 9:36of stations that might sound like what i'm saying but this one right here this
- 9:39one right here it's up there amongst everything that you can find in New York City is there.
- 9:45And there's a dude over there selling his freight Rolex. Not that they're used
- 9:49to, but it's 5.45 in the morning and the thing is like, wow, it's lit, like, wow.
- 9:56The lesson is, once again, sometimes we're not going to end.
- 9:58When we happen, what does that mean, David? Okay.
- 10:01So if there are things that's outside of our hands, what shall we do?
- 10:07And that's when I say, do not do nothing. Don't change it because of what's happening.
- 10:14Continue to do what you do.
- 10:16Continue to wake up, do that same routine, because it's not a routine. It's a discipline.
- 10:21Don't question yourself as in, well, maybe I'm not fully motivated.
- 10:24Maybe I got to find an alternative.
- 10:27No, you build something and you continue to build on that.
- 10:32Don't stop what you're doing.
- 10:35Again, in life, I always say 99% of life is going to be bad.
- 10:39People are going to get sick. People are going to pass away.
- 10:42The economy is going to be high.
- 10:45Food prices are going to be, you know, skyrocketing. Everything,
- 10:48everything and everything is going to happen.
- 10:50What should not have happened is that you should not stop what you're doing
- 10:54if you are already in the position where you build something,
- 10:58where you do something, you got to make it happen.
- 11:02And yes, it is frustrating. And listen, I was in that train station.
- 11:06I was a little bit frustrated, but it didn't dawn on me.
- 11:08Now, when I got off, it's when I said to myself, you know what?
- 11:13From here to the gym, I can just find a little nice spot in the gym or whatever
- 11:18it is in silence. And you know what?
- 11:21A little content. And that's where I'm at.
- 11:23That's what I'm at doing now at this moment. I'm seizing the moment and the
- 11:28opportunity that it gave me, despite the fact that the opportunity seems to
- 11:33be like not where I wanted to be at or nor I wanted to be in this place.
- 11:38But it's out of my hands. It's out of my control. But guess what?
- 11:41I'm seizing the moment Because I'm doing this podcast I'm doing this content
- 11:46And I'm educating my beautiful people My beautiful legendary people,
- 11:51That once you listen to this You're going to stop You're going to stop whoever's
- 11:56next to you On your left, right, front of your back Whatever it is And you're
- 11:59going to say Hey, my friend, I just listened to Deconstructed Topics Why are you so mad?
- 12:04Well, you know, because I got a flat tire And I wasn't expecting this you know
- 12:09what, that's exactly what D. K. Strzokin said.
- 12:13Expect the unexpected, but do not stop believing on what you expect of yourself
- 12:19to do. You expect to fix that.
- 12:22You expect to do something. And you expect yourself to move on and continue
- 12:26to get yourself even better than what you did two, three hours before.
