Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: The Erica Show on G and I five. Y'all, Trevor
- 0:03Speaker 1: lied and that karma hit him right in the face.
- 0:05Speaker 1: We were in San Diego for radio morning show boot
- 0:07Speaker 1: Camp and which all.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Radio big conference.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Yeah, people from all over come together and so we
- 0:11Speaker 1: see people that we don't often see. But you lied
- 0:14Speaker 1: and got busted.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:16Speaker 3: So I was invited to dinner with I didn't want
- 0:20Speaker 3: to go to this dinner.
- 0:21Speaker 2: I just didn't.
- 0:21Speaker 3: I wanted to go to dinner with Erica and just
- 0:24Speaker 3: have a little date night the two of us, because
- 0:25Speaker 3: you know, we don't see each other enough.
- 0:28Speaker 1: No, it wasn't because we had been with so many people.
- 0:30Speaker 1: It was gonna be a nice just like, let's go
- 0:32Speaker 1: decompressed from the door.
- 0:33Speaker 2: To be able to crap talk with you. Yeah, them
- 0:35Speaker 2: get the tea.
- 0:36Speaker 3: And so I was like, no, you know, I can't
- 0:38Speaker 3: go to dinner, guys. I have so much work. I'm
- 0:40Speaker 3: on the phone with my boss and all the stuff.
- 0:41Speaker 1: These are guys that invited you to the pool.
- 0:44Speaker 2: It doesn't sound guys.
- 0:45Speaker 3: It doesn't sound anyway. So we went to dinner, you
- 0:50Speaker 3: and I. You called an uber. You made a reservation,
- 0:52Speaker 3: very nice restaurant.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Yeah, we were excited about the steak dinner. It was
- 0:55Speaker 1: gonna be so yummy, our one splurge for the weekend.
- 0:57Speaker 3: So the uber pulls up to this restaurant. I look
- 1:00Speaker 3: out the window with the Uber and who is sitting
- 1:02Speaker 3: on the patio of this very nice restaurant. The people
- 1:05Speaker 3: that invited me to dinner read I lied too. I
- 1:07Speaker 3: said I can't go to dinner.
- 1:09Speaker 2: So and before.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Y'all, before explaining anything, we're in this uber. He jumps
- 1:14Speaker 1: out of the uber, ducks down and says get down,
- 1:16Speaker 1: and he runs down the street and I'm like, wtf
- 1:19Speaker 1: is happening? Like, what is happening?
- 1:21Speaker 3: I ran down the block and around the corner so
- 1:22Speaker 3: they couldn't see me. Immediately saw this petty cab like
- 1:25Speaker 3: the bicycle with the carriage on the back. I hopped
- 1:27Speaker 3: in without even saying anything to the guy, and I'm like,
- 1:29Speaker 3: you need to take us to a steakhouse, but not
- 1:31Speaker 3: that one, and we have to go around this way.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Meanwhile, I'm limping down the street in high hills like
- 1:35Speaker 1: in San Diego, Like okay, I'm coming, just waddling down
- 1:38Speaker 1: and I.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Hop in this bike with you. It cost me over
- 1:41Speaker 2: sixty dollars of us. Yeah, it was not. It was
- 1:45Speaker 2: instant karma that I spent sixty dollars. It was a
- 1:47Speaker 2: fun ride though on the Uber would have cost like
- 1:50Speaker 2: seven dollars for that.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Which we had just paid for the Uber to take
- 1:54Speaker 1: us to the other restaurant.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Anyway, So that lie was instant karma for me. But
- 1:58Speaker 3: we did have a nice dinner. So what lie did
- 2:00Speaker 3: you tell? And you got instinct karma back at you?
- 2:02Speaker 3: Nine nine, eight, six one five one.
- 2:05Speaker 1: If I it's the Erica Show, when's the last time
- 2:07Speaker 1: you lied? And you ended up with instant karma? Like
- 2:09Speaker 1: Trevor over the weekend at radio boot camp, lie into
- 2:12Speaker 1: other radio people.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it was our conference that we were at.
- 2:14Speaker 3: I lied and said I couldn't go to dinner with
- 2:17Speaker 3: a group of people because I was too busy and
- 2:18Speaker 3: I just wanted to go with Erica.
- 2:20Speaker 2: So we pulled up. They were at the restaurant that
- 2:23Speaker 2: we had reservations at.
- 2:25Speaker 3: And so I had to duck and get into like
- 2:27Speaker 3: a petty cab and it cost me sixty dollars to
- 2:29Speaker 3: speed away anyway. So five one.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Elizabeth, when's the last time you lied? And it cost
- 2:36Speaker 1: you some karma?
- 2:37Speaker 4: So this guy one time I asked to like go out,
- 2:40Speaker 4: and I fled into that wasn't feeling well, so we
- 2:43Speaker 4: were gonna have to take a rain check. But I
- 2:45Speaker 4: ended up going out with my friends instead. I just
- 2:48Speaker 4: didn't want to go out with the guy, and we
- 2:50Speaker 4: went out downtown Raleigh and I ended up seeing that
- 2:54Speaker 4: guy at a bar with another girl. Oh, that was
- 2:59Speaker 4: kind of like instant karma, because it's kind of awkward,
- 3:01Speaker 4: but it also kind of worked out like in the
- 3:03Speaker 4: long run, because yeah, that is
- 3:05Speaker 2: Kind of instant karma, Like you were replaced like that.
