Hi everyone, welcome to Mini Scroll, the daily Internet
• 0:03
culture podcast bringing you the biggest stories from social
• 0:06
media, the creator economy and the digital space every Monday
• 0:10
through Thursday. I'm your host, Lauren Meisner,
• 0:13
the founder of the youth digital media brand Centennial World.
• 0:17
Welcome back to Mini Scroll, everyone.
• 0:19
Happy Tuesday. I guess it is.
• 0:22
Anyways, let's just get straight into the stories because I told
• 0:26
you guys all my life updates yesterday in the intro, so I
• 0:29
have nothing to tell you guys today.
• 0:31
OK, so the first story that I have for you guys is that
• 0:34
Rosanna Pansino has been revealing the reality behind Mr.
• 0:38
Beast's Mr. Beast games alleging unsafe work conditions.
• 0:43
This sounds like a throwback. This sounds like a story that I
• 0:46
should have reported on like a year ago, but I promise there is
• 0:49
new developments. So, Rosanna Pansino, longtime
• 0:53
YouTuber known for her baking content, is speaking out about
• 0:55
the conditions surrounding a new Mr. Beast competition video,
• 0:59
which could be linked to his upcoming show with Amazon Prime,
• 1:02
Beast Games. However, according to Rosanna,
• 1:05
the exact connection to the show remains unclear.
• 1:08
So, on July 27th, Rosanna posted a video sharing messages that
• 1:12
she had received from various participants in the competition
• 1:15
  show. Rosanna reveals that the
• 1:17
messages have come from a variety of people connected with
• 1:20
Beast Games, some who were competing in the challenges and
• 1:23
have since been eliminated, and others who are still in the
• 1:26
competition. She notes that many have
• 1:29
expressed concern for their own safety and for those involved.
• 1:33
Rosanna says that she has ten stories from 10 different people
• 1:36
where she goes on to say that quote, I have personally worked
• 1:39
in entertainment for almost 2 decades and what is going on
• 1:42
here is extremely disgusting and dangerous.
• 1:45
Rosanna goes on to read one of the messages from a contestant
• 1:48
alleging unsafe work conditions where the basic needs of the
• 1:51
contestants were not being met and contestants were being
• 1:53
denied access to medicine and food.
• 1:56
The author of the message notes that people were quote, having
• 1:59
seizures because they were not getting medication before
• 2:02
revealing that the competition was quote, 100% rigged and
• 2:05
favored young and athletic men over women and other
• 2:08
contestants. To make things worse, men
• 2:11
started realizing they could take out the women without being
• 2:14
eliminated. The message ads guys started
• 2:16
tackling and hitting women. 2 girls were tackled and passed
• 2:19
out on the field and dragged off to continue filming.
• 2:22
I saw people with broken bones, stitches, etcetera and most were
• 2:26
women. Among the claims, the author of
• 2:28
the message also claims that the game show set up unfair
• 2:31
expectations quote they presented it as though the game
• 2:35
would be like Squid Games people who went signed up for Squid
• 2:38
Games, not for American Ninja Warrior and Survivor.
• 2:41
So they also said that the contestants were offered $1000
• 2:44
to quote, sign away their rights to join any kind of class action
• 2:48
lawsuit, which is T. She has since gone on to share a
• 2:52
number of follow up videos expanding on the claims, many of
• 2:55
  which have allegedly been suppressed.
• 2:58
In one of the videos, Rosanna claims that the international
• 3:00
allegiance of theatrical stage employees categorized Beast
• 3:03
Games as a, quote, unfair production, meaning that no
• 3:07
union members are permitted to work on the production quote.
• 3:10
This shows that Jimmy never planned to make Beast Games a
• 3:13
union show. He wants to hire union workers,
• 3:16
he wants the quality, but he doesn't want to pay for them.
• 3:18
Rosanna says. So, as I mentioned, this sounds
• 3:21
like a bit of a throwback because this is not the first
• 3:23
time that Rosanna has spoken out against Mr. Beast and his
• 3:26
competition shows. Last year, Rosanna came forward
• 3:29
about her experience in Mr. Beast's Creator Games, a series
• 3:33
where social media personalities compete against each other for
• 3:36
A1 $1,000,000 prize. Among a number of claims, she
• 3:39
alleged that Mister Beast edited her out of the video early,
• 3:43
revealing that she had finished in 3rd place instead of 5th as
• 3:46
it appeared in production. Quote despite Jimmy editing out
• 3:49
the only female in the top three.
• 3:51
I was proud of what I achieved. Rosanna wrote in a statement on
• 3:54
Twitter at the time. I followed the rules of the
• 3:56
game, gave it my all, had fun and never gave up.
• 3:58
They can't take that away from me.
• 4:00
She also revealed that other female creators had contacted
• 4:03
her, sharing that they have had similar experiences with Mr.
• 4:06
Beast. There is a bit of a tide turning
• 4:10
on Mr. Beast on TikTok. I have started to get fed quite
• 4:13
a few videos of people speculating that his downfall is
• 4:17
coming, and we obviously spoke a little bit about that at the
• 4:21
beginning of this year. He's still widely beloved
• 4:24
because he's been able to play this philanthropic character
• 4:28
where if you don't think about it too critically and you just
• 4:32
kind of listen to like what he tells you about himself and his
• 4:35
motivation, then it seems like he's using his content, his
• 4:40
platform, his fame, his money to do way more good than not.
• 4:45
And I think the kind of House of Cards is starting to fall.
• 4:49
The mystique around Mister Beast is slowly kind of fading away.
• 4:53
And I think in the next year, we might see some type of big
• 4:56
blowback against Mr. Beast. But we will see.
• 5:01
All right. And the next story that I have
• 5:02
for you guys is well, part of the story I didn't cover last
• 5:07
week because I honestly just forgot to cover it.
• 5:09
As you can imagine, when I'm like scrolling on TikTok and
• 5:11
social media, like all throughout the day, I will find
• 5:15
stories, I'll save them, I'll like them, I'll screenshot them,
• 5:17
whatever to like come back for a mini scroll the next day.
• 5:20
And sometimes I just forget what I have screenshotted, what I
• 5:24
have liked. I just kind of miss it so I
• 5:27
missed half of this story but the other half is new.
• 5:29
So Queens of TikTok exposes Madeline Argie and brooks
• 5:34
Schofield have reunited. So since Madelines expose about
• 5:38
her on again off again relationship with UK rapper
• 5:41
Central C, social media users have been urging her to appear
• 5:44
on the cancelled podcast. Recently, Brooke has been
• 5:48
posting tik Toks with Madeline and it seems like their wish
• 5:51
might be coming true. Under their videos together,
• 5:54
users have expressed excitement that the two are together.
• 5:57
Quote is Mads on the next episode of the pod?
• 5:59
Please say yes, get Mads on the podcast ASAP.
• 6:02
Wrote another. I mean, this is just a general
• 6:04
sentiment, but I think because they know that people really
• 6:06
want to see them together, like they really want Mads to go on
• 6:09
cancelled. I think Brooke posting all of
• 6:11
this like it makes total sense that she would go on cancelled
• 6:13
and that they would both kind of capitalize on this moment right
• 6:16
now for them. So all of this came off the back
• 6:18
of Ice Spice last week, shading Madeline.
• 6:22
So for context, Madeline alleged that she was being used in APR
• 6:25
stunt amid rumors that Central C was seeing Leah Holton and Ice
• 6:29
Spice all while he was allegedly dating Madeline.
• 6:32
This was in the lead up to Ice Spice and Central C releasing a
• 6:35
song together. While Ice Spice hasn't responded
• 6:37
directly, she did post a TikTok last week with the caption mood
• 6:41
after taking her man's and Madeline even commented on the
• 6:45
TikTok writing Why that is some serious shade, even though it's
• 6:52
like kind of funny, like it is objectively like shady and
• 6:57
funny, obviously, like just so savage.
• 7:00
Obviously what happened to Madeline was very upsetting,
• 7:03
very traumatic. I'm sure it's not funny to her,
• 7:06
but she's handling this very, very well.
• 7:10
All right, And the last thing that I just wanted to touch on
• 7:12
was that I have seen that the times who published the
• 7:16
ballerina farm article, which is like not dying down.
• 7:19
It is like blowing up even more since it came out like my whole
• 7:22
for you pages of stuff about Ballerina farm.
• 7:25
Like people cannot stop talking about this article.
• 7:28
I saw that they actually published a podcast episode
• 7:31
where they share clips of the audio that Ballerina Farmer,
• 7:35
like Hannah and her and Daniel, you can hear them talking in it
• 7:38
and like answering the journalist questions and stuff.
• 7:41
And I guess it's giving a little bit more insight into the
• 7:43
context of the interview, the questions being asked, how they
• 7:47
were answering them, their tone, things like that.
• 7:51
I haven't listened to the full episode.
• 7:52
I've just heard clips here and there on TikTok.
• 7:55
Obviously there's a lot of people that are like, now taking
• 7:57
that and saying, Oh my God, it's so obvious now.
• 7:59
Like she's saying that she loves this life.
• 8:00
It's so obvious now that, you know, the journalist had some
• 8:03
type of agenda when publishing this and reporting on this.
• 8:07
I am not in that camp. I think the journalist reported
• 8:11
on something that she was given. Like you can't report on
• 8:14
something that you're not given. They she reported on what
• 8:17
directly came from their mouths, the exact interactions that she
• 8:21
had. Of course she's going to, you
• 8:23
know, infer certain things based on, I guess her own biases or
• 8:27
opinions. But it's also from context clues
• 8:29
of like being on the farm and seeing how everything works and
• 8:33
the interaction that she had with them and watching them
• 8:35
interact together and all of this.
• 8:37
So I just thought I would mention that I haven't listened
• 8:40
to the podcast, but if you guys are interested in more of this
• 8:42
ballerina farm stuff and want to kind of, I guess, I don't know,
• 8:45
dive into a deeper, there is a podcast episode now.
• 8:48
All right, guys. Well, that's it for Mini Scroll.
