- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: Is that 10, 10 person leagues?
- 2:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: 10, 10 per man.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to have to quit my job to manage fantasy leagues.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: So he's crazy.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_02]: That's, I just want to thank everybody who signed it.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's incredible for us.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think the first year we did this, did we have one or two?
- 2:56[SPEAKER_02]: two maybe two we had maybe two four the next year yeah and in the first year is ten two-person leagues and I bet you that second league at least a fourth if not half of that second league was people doing both but we had an over an over you know we had an odd amount of people who joined now we're up to ten in multiple dynasty leagues I mean so just
- 3:19[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you to everybody who's joined the dog pack and supported the show and they're going to play fantasy football with us.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's a ton of fun to do and it's a good way to just interact with Browns fans and meet people from all over the country and all over the globe.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_02]: So huge thank you to everybody who's joined 10 leagues.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: That's that's crazy.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: And I didn't want to throw this out there too.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: If anybody out there's looking for a draft guide, a fantasy football draft guide for your drafts.

- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think that'd be, it's not super expensive and it's a tiered based rankings.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: Really help you out during your fancy drafts this year.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: Awesome.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: So, as we move in here into the call it the meat and potatoes of our episode, initially we just kind of want to get into obviously the big topic of the Browns camp and in practice is the quarterback competition.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's all anybody's talking about locally.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, dominates a lot of our videos for an even national media.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_02]: That's the talk of the
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: up to this point.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's basically been a two man race between Shidorah Sanders and to Sean Watson.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_02]: This week we start to hear Dylan Gabriel's name starts creeping in there.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_02]: What are your guys' thoughts on that?
- 4:47[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I can tell you that I'm not buying the hype, man.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_04]: I know, you know what?
- 4:51[SPEAKER_04]: It's typical Cleveland, I don't know, fans media.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_04]: We always just want to be in love with the next guy.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_04]: And like I totally get it.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_04]: Like, I mean, obviously he's accurate.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_04]: We make fun of him being a super computer.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_04]: He does enough.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_04]: He's smart enough.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_04]: He's poised and he's done enough, but I'm not buying it.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_04]: And the biggest thing is, with him, it's just, I don't know, man, the fact that people, I think it's just re-overreacting to these clean practices and they're just not looking at the full picture.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_04]: And like I just said earlier, like he's accurate, he makes quick decisions.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_04]: His turnover numbers are, I mean, lower than the shans and I guess that's kind of positive.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_04]: But I mean, really, at the end of the day, like today, just took a step backwards again.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_04]: So in my opinion, I think that Sanders just has a much higher ceiling.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_04]: He plays with better anticipation, shows ability to extend plays.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he showed that last year.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know about you guys, man, but I'm super excited about this chemistry that I'm seeing with Denzel Boston looks fantastic.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_04]: And overall, I mean, the reps matter.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_04]: If you take a look at what Josh puts together for us, he still mid-bottom on that.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_04]: Like talent, green just getting the least amount of reps.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_04]: He's still the third.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_04]: worse in the getting those reps.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_04]: So through these six practices for me, I think Sanders is just heads and tails above him and it's just media wanting to talk about something else other than the other two guys.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, he's
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy flipping on, well, I don't even turn on the radio.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_01]: I just scroll Twitter in the morning.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I see 92-3 and Ken Carman.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_01]: These guys are talking about, well, Deshawn and Shador both suck.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: Then we got to look at Dylan Gibre on it.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's having great practices, blah, blah, blah.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: My first of all, I haven't, outside of, first of all, Ken Carman even said, I haven't been to training camps.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know where he's coming up with his stuff.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'll I see a lot of people that have said Shador Sanders has put together some pretty sharp practices out there.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: He was 21 of 25 today against the first team defense.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: Dylan Gabriel is going against third string.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, if people are saying, hey, this guy's been looking sharp, he's been in rhythm, he's completing his passes.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: There's a big difference between the Browns first team defense and their third stringers.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, just great point, man.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_02]: obviously there's a huge difference.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: I play a little bit of devil's advocate.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_02]: Last year we did a lot of hype of Shadoras who's going against trash cans and practice squad guys and practice.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_02]: My Dylan's numbers and practice against the ones were not good.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_02]: So if we did it for one guy, I can understand why people are doing it for Dylan now to be like, you know, look at his, you know, how he's playing against third stringers.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_02]: to me it's it's one of those things didn't talk monkey say something about the Gabriel playing well or is it all media?
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: I thought I saw something about time monkey saying something like maybe he needs more of a look because he's been it was a it was a leading question from a media member so basically ask him if he's he's looking good or you're going to give him next you know more of an opportunity and he was like yeah if he keeps stacking good practices well we'll have to give him a look or something you know I think it was his answer it wasn't so much he brought it up
- 8:04[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, I'm glad that like asset because the way I took it is like we will give him if he does better like I just kind of heard month and say or maybe this is the way I heard it, but he just didn't do enough to go backwards.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_04]: He's just even Stephen like he's not moving forward or back.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_04]: He's just stocking okay practices.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I kind of heard I take it so I came on here.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_02]: Today, expecting to be like, I don't know if any of these quarterbacks are playing well to be a starter for the Browns this year, and then Shador had to, you know, arguably his best practice so far today.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_02]: So it's like, well, there go, do I, do I, do I have to bring that up?
- 8:40[SPEAKER_02]: I, one thing that worries me about the entire quarterback competition.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, I, I think Shador should start.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_02]: I, I definitely don't want to watch Dylan Gabriel play for the Browns.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_02]: I definitely don't want to watch the Sean Watson take any steps for the Browns.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_02]: Shador Sanders should be the starter just for the mere, if everything's even,
- 8:58[SPEAKER_02]: He should be the starter just because we already know what we have with the other two guys.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: Let's give that let the guy play and see what we have and know what we have to do next year.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_02]: One thing that scares me a little bit about this is that we went from top monkey wanting to name a starter in OTAs.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: to now talking about, you know, we'll keep evaluating through the pre-season and, you know, we're not rushed to make a decision.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_02]: That tells me that nobody's taking charge of the competition.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_02]: If somebody was leaps and bounds better,
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: They, we would start, there would be talks of this guy's clearly going to be the starter.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_02]: He's clearly playing better.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_02]: He's starting to get more of the reps.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: So we're not seeing any of that.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_02]: And by all accounts from what I've heard is, like nobody's really been that good.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_02]: There's been some moments for everybody.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe Shador's been the best one, but he's just been the best of the bad guys.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_02]: again, I'm not at training camp.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_02]: This is just what I'm hearing from a whole bunch of places.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: That makes me a little bit nervous for the offense.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: Also being said though, we're on week two day two of a new offense of install with all new players.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_02]: all new offensive coaches.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of our all new players are first or second your players.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: And we're they're going against a defense that was just one of the best defenses in the league and I know they lost Miles Garrett, but this defense is still a very good defense.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: Of course they're going to be behind.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: you know, so I just think you have to take everything right now with a little bit of a green assault.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: I do, I don't know, I don't know which quarterback's going to win the competition right now.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: If you were to ask me like a month ago, I thought there was no change in anybody, but should door starts now, who knows?
- 10:46[SPEAKER_02]: I still think it should door.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like if I was betting, I would say should door is going to be the starter, and he should be.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: But, I just think like it's not crazy to believe that the offense is behind the defense right now, and maybe nobody's separating.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_02]: It just,
- 10:59[SPEAKER_02]: the skeptic, I mean, it's like, wait, we wanted to name a starter three months ago.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: Right, now we're talking about, we might see multiple preseason games and not have one picked yet.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: That tells me nobody's taking, taking charge.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_01]: So, one thing, and then give this is all speculation on my part, I've got nothing really to back this up other than, you know, back in, whatever it was during the season when Deshawn was able to go to practice and
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: You know, people within the organization were saying, man, he looks like the best quarterback out here right now.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, he's in shorts and stuff throwing the ball around.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_01]: I, I get the feeling in the sense that the Browns were expecting Deshawn Watson to be a little bit better than what he is.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think there, there was some hope that he would be able to at least start the season for them.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: And then as training camp has gone on, it's apparent he's done.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't think he can play football.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: So I will say this from when I've heard obviously I haven't I saw somebody say watch the film There's no there's no practice film of training camp.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_02]: There's there's highlight clips we see from the sideline But all you should do is he looks better at a lot of things.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_02]: You know, maybe it's He's better still isn't what they wanted to be but he's improved and what everything I'm hearing from to Sean is it's just more of the same
- 12:17[SPEAKER_02]: maybe one he'll make a throw in his next five or dirted or intercepted you know so like that alone tells you that should it should or should start yeah he's at least doing this you know i don't know if it my camera hands it yeah he's at least doing this okay and and to Sean has done this or even he's doing this
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: Well, when that QB and again, QB tracker, you know, take with a grain of salt and everything, but when it came out today, I kind of stopped in my tracks when I saw it because it was Shador 21 to 25, first of all, I'm like, Blackbird damn good.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: He was with the first team today, and then it was the next line, though, that really floored me to Sean Watson, five of 11.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: There's been no lopsidedness to this quarterback competition to this point.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's been one guy gets 21 reps, the other guy gets 20.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: One guy gets 19, the other guy gets 21 or whatever.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's pretty close.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: Not today, man.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_01]: Today it was very heavy in favor of Shador.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_04]: One thing I want to point out to about Deshawn Watson and I've said this several times on the podcast, I'm not sure if Blake's been on when I said it, but anytime we've ever had any information about Deshawn Watson, it's been about how he looks better, how he physically looks.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_04]: He looks like he's running faster.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_04]: There's nothing about he plays football better, he's reading a defense better.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_04]: There's nothing about that.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_04]: It's just all this cosmetic stuff about
- 13:42[SPEAKER_04]: him and the way he is on the practice field and nothing about reading plays except who's the one guy that's been telling us about how he's been reading plays.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_04]: So Zach Jackson and it hasn't been good because he's the only guy that seems to know other than Lance Reasling has been able to put together some kind of like this quarterback can put this protection in.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_04]: He's those are the only guys that I've been reading of late.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: I'm curious to see how the reps, so like today was a very unbalanced and favorite of Shador against the ones, is he committed to an every other day approach all the way through joint practices in a preseason game or is it like, oh, Shador is really good today.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: Tomorrow was supposed to be to Sean's time with the ones, but let's see, let's let Shodor get time with the ones again because he just had such a great practice.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_02]: Why take that momentum away?
- 14:36[SPEAKER_02]: You know, let him see if he can build on another.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I guess I wish I kind of knew like had some insight into what the approach was gonna be.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_02]: Is it like a nope?
- 14:43[SPEAKER_02]: There every other day until we pick a starter.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_02]: Or is it like a, no, he just had a great day.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna let him go out and try to have another great day.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_02]: And see if he can put some distance between himself and the rest of the guys because he played well.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: So I kind of wish like we were privy to that.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_02]: So it's I just would prefer less guessing.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_02]: I hate like speculation media speculated.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: I hate all that.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I just want to I just want some answers
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: Like Ron here in the chat says 92-3 keeps saying she doors messing up on the pre-snap.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: He's still taking too long to process today was a lot of dump offs.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's why it stats are good.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_01]: I saw Tony Grossy posted on Twitter too.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_01]: He said, you know, today a lot of short passes.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_01]: No highlight throws.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_01]: No highlight catches.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, I saw several.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like the one to Luke Floria down like where he dropped it in the bucket for on the deep throw.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like that was a highlight real like Daniel, if you he's like, that was the highlight of the day.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: And then he was hitting like Denzel Boston, you know, deep in her media, uh, uh, gauge.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: Larva Dan had a couple downfield targets and and completions from Shidorah.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: So the media, I don't really know.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know what they're installing.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: So like the first day of camp, Todd Munkin even said, like the next day, we were working on short throws yesterday because everyone was like, all over doing his check downs.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, because that's what we were working on.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: So it's really hard to tell because we we don't get the the practice sheet.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: We don't get the game plan.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: They're not given that to anybody.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: So we're just going off of video clips and what these guys are reporting from being there.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and it's one of those things too where like that's why you got to take the QB tracker.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's just any other team to a QB tracker for practice.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: They do.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: There are other ones out there.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just, I was curious about Eagles do for sure.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_04]: I think it came from like Carolina or something.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_04]: I can't remember.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_02]: I saw, I saw that he led, should do a led like a two minute drive, let a field goal, like we would have been like a game-winning field, or something, two minute drive by methodically moving down the, them down the field.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, we want to stretch the ball.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_02]: We don't want to be a Dylan Gabriel, Dinkin' Dunk Offence.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_02]: But the way defenses have adjusted to offense is in the last couple of seasons.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: You're not just chucking them all down the field every play.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, you have to stretch the wall sometimes, but you got to pick your spots.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: You got to be willing to be a little Tom Bradyish where he'd kill you.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_02]: He'd throw it to his running back six times in a row if you left him open.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: Because he knew if this guy got five yards every reception, we were never going to get off the field.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_02]: We were going to get our first down every two.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_02]: But he was the master of taking with the defense can give you.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: Now, if you're checking down because you're not making the right read,
- 17:10[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you're not reading the defense quick enough.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_02]: If you're not seeing stuff, that's one thing.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_02]: But if you're taken with a defense is giving you, and you're getting five yards on a checkdown, and you do that eventually, that's gonna suck up the defense.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_02]: They're gonna have to start playing up, and then that's where you hit them deep with Denzel Boston over the top.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: So we can't just be out here.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_02]: This isn't flag football, where it's tuck it, truck it, football, Hail Mary every single pass.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_02]: You gotta be able and willing to hit those checkdowns.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_02]: If you're not willing to throw it to them, they'll leave it open all day.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_02]: You know and you won't complete a pass down field and they'll just leave this guy if you're not willing to hit those guys And let your athlete make a plane space if you hit KC on a little three-yard out that could turn into a 35-yard game because He's electric with the ball in the sense we finally have athlete who can make plays at least we that's the way it appears in camp so far So like I'm not mad
- 18:02[SPEAKER_02]: if he's taking what the defense is giving him, if he's not seeing things, if he's not processing, if he's not seeing things, that's a different story.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_02]: But we don't know that because we don't know what the play is called and we don't know what coaches are telling them.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that's why like the the practice speculations kind of sucks.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, did you see the last play of practice yesterday where he hit Gage Larver Dan in the back of the end zone, but it touched down?
- 18:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that was a drop in the bucket.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: We're up in the bucket and they said that before that play should door set the protection.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: on that side of the line, what was it called to tight end in, to add some protection over there, and set himself up to build, make that throw, and I forget who posted it, and I had shout him out if I could see it, but it might have been Brown's film breakdown or whatever, and they were saying like, that was encouraging to see that he's out there, commanding the offense, putting protection in place, and then he hits the guy for the touchdown pass, and it's like, the only person who's had any downfield highlight throws at all has been
- 18:59[SPEAKER_02]: His accuracy still lead, like it's ball play.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: That means awesome.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_02]: If he figures out any just continues to get better at the mental side of the game, you know, seeing things quicker playing on time, on target.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_02]: That could, he could be really good.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's just that that we've talked about about a million times on here 90% of being a good quarterback is between the years a lot of us think that's why to Sean can't cut it anymore.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's too too much has gone on.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: The brains fried, you know, and so if Shidorah gets that part of it down, you know, and by all accounts he puts in the work.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: you know, he studies, he's there early, he works with people.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_02]: So for anybody else to start, man, it would be criminal, it would be so stupid.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: This episode is sponsored by Kaoshi.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Browns Vand, you know, we've all messed around with the sports books before right, and let's be honest, you're always kind of playing against the house.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: But with Kaoshi, it's different.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: You're not betting against some sports book.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: You're trading against other real-world people.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: There's no house trying to beat you Kaoshi just runs the marketplace.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: So if you think the public is wrong and the Browns can make the playoffs in Todd Munkins first year, or Casey Concepcion, Denzel Boston, one of those guys can win offensive rookie of the year.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: You can take the other side of the market and then if you're right, that's a big payout for you.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not just sports either.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: You can trade on other real-world stuff, interest rates, inflation, even wild weather outcomes.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: It works like this.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_01]: Simple yes or no markets, your risk is capped up front and your payout is locked in.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_01]: So if you trust your
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: So use our link in the description or just head over to calshy.com slash dogs, KAL, SHI.com slash dogs, DAWGS, to earn up to $500 when you trade $25.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: Calshy, because why shouldn't you guys get paid for being right?
- 21:00[SPEAKER_02]: that's kind of our take on the quarterback competition.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, I'm sure we'll talk about a little bit more as this episode goes.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_02]: We want to kind of get into the rest of the training camp.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_02]: Before we do though, we have a voicemail from Stacy.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_02]: Again, if you want to get your voicemails, it's the dogpodcast.com.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_02]: Just tap the voicemail to drop down menu.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, so we'll kick it over to our very own sideline reporter Stacey.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, guys, it's Stacey here.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to leave a voicemail because I actually just got done being at the Browns training camp for the day.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_00]: I did want to prep this any of my notes here with the fact that I am five to so.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: I was able to see as much as I could possibly see if I didn't get anything or miss something blame that people were standing in front of me.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_00]: Not me.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, the biggest thing I took from training camp that stood out to me was Stodore Sanders definitely took significantly more reps than any of the other quarter reps today.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: He was working with the first team offense alongside Elkton Jenkins at Center and Kevin's guy, Katie Leviston at guard.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: The starting offensive line was Fano, Johnson, Jenkins, Leviston, and Howard, and then Deshawn Watson was working with the second team offense most of the day with Railsford at Center.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: From what I saw, there were quite a few overthrows from both tail and green and Dillon Gabriel.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: They're definitely looking like
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: back of quarterbacks, third-trend quarterbacks, that's for sure.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_00]: Shador himself had a couple of really nice throws, including an absolute dime to wig for ya, that he dropped right in the bucket.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: Casey was limited to no contact work because of his shoulder injury and then Carson and Collea Davis were also not practicing from what I saw.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_00]: One thing that caught my eye on special teams was Denzel Boston was actually feeling kickoffs.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if that was just because Casey was limited or if they actually were giving Boston a look as a returner, but definitely something that was different.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: And then as far as defense, I thought as far as the corners go, Michael Coach Jr. and Ross both had absolutely great days.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: Coach Jr. was blanketing receivers and giving them almost no separation while Ross had some break-up so on with
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: an interception.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: And then another random observation I noticed was Isaiah Bond is absolutely built.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: And Taylor and Green is an absolute mountain of a human being.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: I know he's a quarterback, but can we please get that man to be a wide receiver?
- 23:21[SPEAKER_00]: Last thing I did notice Jack's soul was practicing with the full-backs as full-back number one during drills That was interesting as well and if anybody knows how I can become a brown-spong girl You let me know and I will be there.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: All right guys.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_00]: I hope you enjoyed my verse before.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll talk to you later.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_00]: Bye
- 23:39[SPEAKER_02]: we should get stacey on the payroll.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_02]: She just gave you a better breakdown of practice of anybody.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_02]: If any, half time I'm up at practice, I can tell what's going on.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_02]: No, that's something grossy or any of those guys.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, of course we enjoyed your poisonous stacey.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_02]: I like their her comment about Isaiah Bond.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's, he's kind of,
- 24:03[SPEAKER_02]: flying under the radar because we have Boston and KC and they're kind of popping in practice, but I think like I think between Boston and KC and Isaiah Barron, like I think Jerry Judy, I think I think I know Josh has put out a video about this going to be traded.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: I think Judy could be phased out pretty early in this thing.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_02]: He's I would say the lease
- 24:24[SPEAKER_02]: athletic of, you know, he's the least dangerous with the ball on his hand, at least in my opinion.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's the scientist too.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm like where I'm seeing out of there.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_02]: I saw a couple comments here.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_02]: I wanted to get to before we got too far.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: T-rays watching and listening from South Korea.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_02]: So that's like insane.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_02]: What time is it in South Korea?
- 24:44[SPEAKER_02]: Because that's crazy.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_02]: If it's late, get some sleep, bro.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well, this will be on YouTube tomorrow.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_02]: And then Casey and Boston haven't even been taking all the reps with the ones.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_02]: Correct me if I'm wrong.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_02]: Does it seem like they're kind of floating with where should doers go in?
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's I think that's telling.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yes.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: So as Spencer Fano.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 25:07[SPEAKER_02]: Like, because here's the, we might not know what the future is at quarterback.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_02]: We know Casey and Boston are, are, are planes.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_02]: We, you know, they didn't draft those dudes where they drafted him.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_02]: They're not, they're not riding the pint.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_02]: Like, those guys are playing.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: And you're not having, if you, if you really thought like, to Sean had the leg up or like, you really thought he's going to win this competition, you'd want him building rhythm with those guys right now.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's by time we get to preseason in the season, it's going to be should door who has the timing and stuff to out them.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that's really telling, I think that's what I want to do.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_04]: good.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I was going to say with Stacy, I got a couple more notes from her just because I was kind of like pushing her to give me some information.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_04]: Well, she was there, right?
- 25:49[SPEAKER_04]: And the one thing that I wanted to point out that she said, she said the amount of contact and physicality was super high compared to chemistry fansky practices.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_04]: And this is like a reoccurring theme that we've constantly heard.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_04]: The other thing, she made a mistake when she said,
- 26:04[SPEAKER_04]: Kevin's guy, supposed to be Kenny Max guy.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, KT 11 sense.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_04]: She made that mistake as well.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_04]: And then the worst part of practice other than the heat and sweatin' our ass off out there was basically the overthrowes by everybody but Shidorr.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_04]: The last but not least what she did point out though is that the Angela Ross guy has been, he's been trending up lately.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if you saw his interception today, but he basically kind of got beat caught up, punched the ball out and got it to himself on a long pass.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, a lot of people here saying Stacey was great and get her on the payroll.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: So, hopefully she does.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully she doesn't have a good agent.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_02]: We can get her on the cheap.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_02]: So, is there, I guess we can kind of talk about some risers and followers or some other guys who have noticed some camp, who has been like the most impressive for you guys so far?
- 26:58[SPEAKER_02]: Or I guess we can rule it into one most surprising guy, you've been the most excited to watch just kind of like in that general category.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_01]: Let me, I'm going to say a name and then I'm going to kick and straight over to Kenny Mac to talk about him because it's his dude and she talked about it.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think, uh, Kevin Jenkins, no word to be found.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: He's injured again.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't practice all OTAs.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: And if I remember correctly, he was injured and off to the sideline.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_01]: Not practicing now.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't know how you're going to build chemistry and fight for a starting job on the line when you're not practicing.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_01]: So Kenny tell everybody about KT Levston and why he's going to be okay at right guard.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, if you guys have been watching for the last couple of weeks, like basically KT is a guy that while he played tackle in college, he's played tackle for us.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_04]: You have to take a look at what his strengths are.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_04]: I'll tell you the main one right now.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_04]: One of the strengths in his draft profile is that he plays well in foam booth type areas.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_04]: Foam booth type areas is exactly what you want from a guard.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_04]: He's got short initial burst and he's a strong, big dude.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's 6, 4, 3, 35.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_04]: That's off the top of my head.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_04]: I can't find the stats right now.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_04]: But he is a guy that is built to be a guard and it's showing.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_04]: And he is getting his opportunity, whether it's with injury with Tevin Jenkins.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_04]: And he's going to seize the day.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_04]: And he's a guy for me that his stock is up and I am
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: Blake and Katie I know last year he was turned style but I know
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like that was a guy that, well, we did not enjoy watching play last year, but also, you know, like, there are some things he did well and something he didn't, and it was like he could be able to improve on some of these.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe, here's the thing, are you guys worried at all about the offensive line?
- 28:54[SPEAKER_02]: I know this supposed to be positive, but we've heard all camps so far about how the defensive line has just been dominating the offensive line.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_02]: And I know, obviously, I spent the first five minutes of this episode talking about how.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the defense is going to be ahead of the offense.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's like an execution I would say.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: It a lot up front, man.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's just, that's just about, you know, dudes on dudes, you know, without being gross.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's just no, but that's like that's just who wants it more.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and I know they weren't We'll be kidding.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of talked about this or when they weren't in pads yet and people were talking about like well The pads aren't even on so of course like these guys are living in the backfield and all this stuff I played offensive line.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously I didn't play in the NFL, but even when you don't have pads on it's basically full go
- 29:42[SPEAKER_02]: you know so if the defense is going hard enough that they can they can penetrate the offense can go hard enough to stop them so i it's a little concerning like that they've been swiss cheese early because we talked about this that's the offense is going nowhere if the offensive line doesn't play better like that you know i'll tell you i'll tell you if i didn't last year we're toast we're cooked from the rip i don't care how good any of the guys play
- 30:08[SPEAKER_04]: Dude, my main concern is this, who was the practicing today?
- 30:11[SPEAKER_04]: So listen to this, my call junior, Kalea Davis, Mason Graham, Malik Collins, and our defensive line is dominating these guys.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_04]: That's not good.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: I would say on my followers list, I have the defensive tackle position because everybody's there.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I might go up and try out.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, you might as well.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: You might make the roster at least for a day.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, so Mike Hall Jr. got a little bit of buzz last week.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, wow, this guy's flying off the line.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_01]: He's fast.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's in the backfield.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's looking good.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: You're three.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe this is finally the breakout.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: We kind of wait for Mike Hall.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: Week two.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: injured.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, every year, that guy, that guy, that guy, he gets shipped for a, like, hair at this point.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_02]: If we were deeper, he'd be on the block.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm like, yeah, it's crazy.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_01]: To Kenny's point, it was eight in Huntington and Elijah Chapman, Chapman, we were standing defensive tackles today.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_02]: which we'd like to a hunting can did last year.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm not, I'm not trying to like downplay hunting to him, but not as your main defense like your DT1?
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: No, no.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_02]: That too, we're rocking right now and you're right, the offensive line struggling real quick big shout out for the super chat from Cam V6 M60 he Love from South Africa incredible the the fact that we're reaching people from overseas is just crazy, but Yeah, that's an educate me.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: What is 30 what is ZAR what is what is that money I've never seen ZAR before
- 31:48[SPEAKER_04]: Well, you got some.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_02]: This is the first time I've ever gotten any ZAR.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, so, all right, that threw me off a little bit.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_02]: I got excited when I saw that.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: Um, well, I've got a couple other riser followers if you want them real quick.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, go ahead.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: So same position, I've got a riser and a follower.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: Riser at wide receiver for me is till and wall list.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: I've been seeing people that are at camp posting like, he's 100% making the roster, 100%.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's,
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, we know he's here for the special teams.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: He's here for the return game and the other units on special teams.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_01]: He's running with the first team off fence, but that's primarily because we have a lot of veterans.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: Our veterans are running with the first team, except for one, which is my father, but he's making plays.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: He's making big catches and I don't know if it was, uh, Baltimore just did not have a very high profile passing attack with their wider severs.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: Over the years, maybe Tullen Wallace is a little bit better of a receiver than what he was able to show in Baltimore.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but my faller definitely said to a gentleman who can't break away from the third string offense.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: not good.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not good.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_02]: He's toast.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_02]: If you had told me that like on his couple games stretch, we're like, it seemed like he was starting to ascend.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_02]: I would have said you're crazy.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_02]: But if you just can't the best ability, ability is dependability.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_02]: And if you're never on the, it's the reason why my call might not like you have to be able to be on the field.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_02]: with some kind of consistency.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_02]: And the dude just gets hurt so often that even went, he loved two good games in a row and then he misses six games.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's like when I was conditioning's out of whack, he hasn't played it in a month and a half.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_02]: And then it takes three games to get back into, well, three forces seasons done.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_02]: You've had two good games again.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_02]: So it's like he's, that's the question now is when Cedric told me and gets cut.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_02]: Does he get picked up anywhere?
- 33:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, man.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, a black acre white acre in the chases.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, I said, you're told, man, it's lazy.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's interesting.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder if there is other things going on behind the scenes as well with maybe work ethic and things like that because the what we've seen for the first bit of training camp here is the the veterans are being given the preference on the first team.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: So you've got Jerry Judy, Dylan Wallace.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, guys.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: I say a bond.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but now, and that's a second year, you know, veteran, not like a a tenured veteran, you got gauge larvadans running with the ones.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: The only like veteran who's not with the ones at all is, is Tillman.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: And it's, yeah, it's very strange, but I think it's the ratings on the wall there.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I mean, I would say, go ahead.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: No, go ahead.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_04]: No, go ahead.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_04]: I was going to say my stock down would be tied back up tight end because right now, I don't think Joel Royer has had any, um, practices whatsoever.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_04]: And now Stacey's telling us, uh, and we've said this last, last time I think Josh, uh, we saw stole might move to full back and he got those full back reps. Well, that means you just have my practice today.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: So there might have had something to do with that too.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_01]: Go ahead.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, good point.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_04]: Good point.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_04]: Well, he's there now.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_04]: So if he's hurt and gets an injury settlement, then, and you know what I mean?
- 35:06[SPEAKER_04]: So, but that's a good point and glad you brought that up, but then not leaves Carson Ryan and Lake Whitehart and Brendan Bates, right?
- 35:16[SPEAKER_04]: So I would like to have somebody a little bit more like a like a block and play and do something.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_04]: So when he's somebody there, let's let's do it.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_04]: What's going on with Roya?
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: Personal issue hasn't been the camp yet.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_01]: Don't know.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's a gift from Cincinnati, right?
- 35:34[SPEAKER_01]: I was excited about him, too.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_02]: That's like you can the Browns just like somehow avoid that maybe just one draft of my life.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_02]: One, you know, everybody shall up.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody participate.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_02]: Can we just have like a team of model citizens one time?
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: That would be pretty cool.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_02]: But I'll tell you, I saw a guy.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's going to be really good on these defenses, McNeil Warren.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_02]: That dude.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_02]: Good pick.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_02]: That dude's, I think that guy's gonna be, I think this defense has a chance, I think, if we were doing a hot tech episode, my hot take would be that, this defense might be better this year.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if it's that hot.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, other than we lost miles and gym shorts, that would be everybody's pushback on you, but,
- 36:23[SPEAKER_02]: It so much of the defense we weren't win games, especially once it became apparent we weren't going games.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_02]: So much of the defense was just get model sex.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and honestly like that's been basically what the defense has been like the last two years just get Miles sex.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't play the run hardly ever In fact, he was chasing sex so much we get gasped in the run game a lot.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's just I just think there's a chance this defense is young Jared versus hungry Carson Schweschinger's hungry Delpit just got an extension make Neil Warren's hungry.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_02]: I just think Quincy Williams
- 36:59[SPEAKER_02]: can play sideline to sideline I think Alex right hungry man Alex right hungry too.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_02]: If we can shore up the interior if we can get some guys healthy and shore up the interior I just I think if Mason Graham takes a leap.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's a he's a riser for me man.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_04]: He's been in the back field this entire camp.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_04]: So he's looking good didn't play today got some kind of undisclosed injury.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_04]: I guess, but you know, he's a guy that's he's made.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_04]: He's taken the next step.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_04]: And that's what we need for this defense to get going.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_04]: Like we said last year, somebody's got to collapse the pocket for miles.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_04]: Somebody's got to collapse the pocket for Jared verse and Alex right.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_02]: Um, somebody said CD-T-5 said Royale's personal leave is approved such support by coaching if that's the case.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_02]: I shouldn't have made fun of them for being a bad apple or something.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_02]: So, uh, yeah, I should have done all the information.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it was a death in the family like something really tragic.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know what it's going on.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess until we know, um,
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I take back my, I was being facetious.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_01]: I apologize.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: Another riser on the defensive side because again, another undisclosed minor injury is what we're being told to Carson Swesinger is not practicing.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_01]: Easton Masquerina's Arnold, can you remember we talked about him on the 53-man prediction show and I said, and he's definitely making the roster and he's like the first man up to replace Carson.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: So he's definitely in that line-backer room.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_04]: we need them on special teams.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, we're talking a lot about defense right now.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_04]: We want a quarter back, but our special teams are equally as bad.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_04]: And a guy like Talon Wallace, a guy like Daniel Thomas, these guys are all kind of on the rise right now because we need these gunners.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_04]: We need these guys to tackle the return, the returners that are coming up are blown us up, blown us up twice against
- 38:54[SPEAKER_04]: Keep those guys going, man.

- 41:42[SPEAKER_02]: When is our joint practice?
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: That would be the 20th, I think.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_01]: We played those in the 22nd, so I believe the joint practice is the 20th.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_02]: So, call me crazy.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_02]: I would call me crazy.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'd like to have some of the stuff sorted out by then.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_01]: We need to do a line figured out.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: The O-line, honestly, I'd love to have QB figured out.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'd love to, I'd love for, ever our number one QB is going to be, to get, to be able to get those reps against the defense.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_02]: And that, you know what I mean, just like, I'm hoping, I know like we were talking about some other stuff and it just popped in my head, but I mean, I hope we get some stuff figured out soon.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_02]: We're only a week and two days in, but like there's not a ton of time, like football pre-season's kind of quick, like it's like a month.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_02]: Now all of a sudden you got games.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_02]: You can't you can't waste three weeks, you know, this isn't NBA where you got summer league and all the stuff months leading up into the season and where you play 82 games.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_02]: You got 17 games.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_02]: So you can't you can't be wasting time figuring stuff out up until week one and then take five weeks of the
- 42:48[SPEAKER_01]: I agree with you like at the wide receiver spot, I do think it's I we are talked about tillman and stuff.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's out.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think till and wall else and I think gauge larva Dan probably locked down those last you know the fourth and fifth spots.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: If we err I'm sorry, fifth and sixth spots if we only keep six.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_04]: Do you think yeah no we were talking about.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_04]: go ahead.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_04]: Good, Kenny.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_04]: I said, we were talking about Corley, but at this point since last time we spoke Josh, I think he's also going to correlate this point.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_04]: So I like Robert and Wade better.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_04]: He's got returning skills, probably better than Corley at this point.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_04]: So we'll see what happens.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_02]: That's kind of crazy too, because I think we were all kind of like interest to see what he could do, because he flashed on an offense that didn't have anything.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_02]: He flashed a little bit last year for us.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, see how how long until Denzel Boston's are one is he already the one.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: Well, man, I don't would say so.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he's going to let anybody else take the one.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, black black acre white acre thing.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: You're dramatic thrash.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: I was another guy that I think was the veteran running with the ones until he got hurt.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, back to Boston, holy crap, man.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_01]: You talk about a riser.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: I obviously we drafted him.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's got first-round pedigree.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't get the capital, but he was projected to be a first-round pick and everything.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: He's just mossing everybody, catches everything.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: He's always open.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: And he's got all the just kind of written all over him.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'm very excited for it.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's, I wanted him when we took KC.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_02]: So the fact that we, I'm very happy that we still able to land him and then I'm even happier that he's kind of like at least in camps of our living up to the billing.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_02]: We have, we have not had a guy like that.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_02]: Josh Gordon.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_02]: That's it, in my life, one season of Braille and Edwards, you know, one season.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: He could catch the football and we have one season of Turrell prior and a little bit here and there with Donovan Peoples Jones or was like, hey, maybe, but, you know, that was.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_01]: getting our hopes up.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_04]: Well, man, this guy's completely made me forget about Carnell Tate.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, I want to Tate so bad.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I want to draft him so bad, not because I like the block guys because I thought he's really going to be good.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_04]: And all this guy does is come in ball out.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_04]: Like you said, he is Mr. uncontested catch man.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_04]: Like or contested catch.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_04]: He is.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_04]: unreal, like plucking the ball out of there.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_04]: He's so good.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, you don't even have to be that accurate with them.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_04]: He's got such an amazing catch radius.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_04]: He just catches everything.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_04]: It's like for him to go consecutive practice, after consecutive practice, the way he is, this is going to translate and I can't wait till what happens.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_02]: One thing I think it's telling about how good these rookie writers see Resort and how bad the room was that they were coming into was a Zack Jackson said The two rookies are Galaxies ahead of everybody else on this roster So I mean that kind of tells you what they were coming into but also how good they've been they've been as Afterties.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think my favorite thing about the wide receiver room now is it's so diverse
- 46:03[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we finally got a big body guy.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_02]: We got a guy that you just get the ball to and spacing is dangerous, you know, as they flowers ask.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_02]: We know a guy like Tom Munkin knows how to use.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that guy just got paid.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_02]: Tom Munkin just got saved as well as paid.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we have a legit receiving threat at tight end and fan in.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_02]: We have Isaiah Bond is kind of a chess piece and give behind the defense.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_02]: I just like that there's guys who
- 46:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's very diverse.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: It can do many different things well.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_01]: Did you see the play yesterday where KC was 10 yards beyond the secondary?
- 46:41[SPEAKER_01]: Just wide, filthy open.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, and CDT-5 was shouting out KC here in the chat.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_01]: And I agree because another thing, we saw during OTAs and the mini camp where there was a couple instances where he was dropping a couple passes.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_01]: or he was trying to go low for a catch and he didn't come up with it.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_01]: By all accounts, he's caught everything, I think.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_01]: So far in training, if I haven't heard anything about drops, I've heard that he scooped low passes and coming up with the grabs the tough catches like, he got that one that should have sailed over.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's head from Shador that he just went up, climbed the ladder and brought it down.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like,
- 47:18[SPEAKER_01]: this dude is awesome.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, his contested catch ratio is not like in Boston's round, but it's there.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_04]: Like he catches everything, man.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_04]: Like I think he had a we always talked about how what a high contested catch ratio we had for his size.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_04]: And it just translates for what we're seeing in practice right now.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_04]: And it makes absolute sense that these guys are miles ahead based on the
- 47:47[SPEAKER_02]: I'm old enough to remember when Jemar Chase couldn't catch so you know you know like that that four day period when he was a rookie where they said see he can he doesn't know how to catch okay so it's it's kind of like the same thing if you know some early drop troubles is a rookie whatever like you said that seems to be not an action not a real issue
- 48:12[SPEAKER_03]: safe flowers is overrated.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he maybe he is, but I do think he's pretty good.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_02]: And I think Todd Munkin just got him a pretty big paycheck.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'll say this.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_02]: You can say he's overrated.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_02]: The Ravens drafted a lot of wide receivers to try to get Lamar Jackson help, and he's the only one who could produce with Lamar Jackson.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I think Lamar is obviously a two-time MVP, great.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_02]: But they kept bringing in wide receivers for Lamar Jackson trying to get that going.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_02]: And there's only been one guy who could make it work and it was Dave Flowers, and he was electric.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_02]: So take what you want with that, I think he's pretty good.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think another guy that I just wanted to shout out on my risers, I've been reading about watching some stuff Daniel Thomas.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: or defensive back, I believe he played with the lions.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_01]: If I remember off top of that last year, defensive back, special teams Ace, and I've been seeing that he's the first, I think he's corner back, right?
- 49:13[SPEAKER_01]: He's first corner back to come in and rotation with the top guys.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_01]: And probably he was a safety.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I keep seeing D, I think you can kind of play both.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he has primarily a safety, but either way.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's he's locked into the roster and I think that Donovan McMillan definitely on this roster as at the safety position.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: For anybody who's not familiar, that's a UD, he was a UDFA last season that we signed.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's kind of following that Ronnie Hickman route man, just coming here, work and making the roster, he's going to play on defense, we're going to run a lot of three safety
- 49:55[SPEAKER_04]: So Daniel Thomas is on our lads behind Grant Delpit at strong safety.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_04]: That's what they have him, but you know those guys are interchangeable at this point.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_04]: So he's listed as a safety as the main thing.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you have a task to do from J.CO.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's by the way.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_02]: All right, I'm not a, I'm not a professional dancer.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_02]: He just dangle money in front of me and told me to dance.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm classy, but this, are you willing to start Shadore Week 1 if he still needs time to bake?
- 50:34[SPEAKER_02]: just yes and I guess the the biggest argument I've heard is if you start to shine it's a lot easier to go from to shine to should doer if you start to should doer and you're struggling and you move off of them that's you're basically sealing his fate you know you're not going to go back to him after that.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just, I'm just giving him the season, and unless it is just, unlike, which I don't foresee, unless he is just putrid, like this guy just should not be on NFL football field, just given the 17 games.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_02]: And let the chips fall where they may because here's the thing is if shit door doesn't play well We're not gonna win games anyways because Dilling Gabriel's not leading this team to any wins And to Sean Watson's not leading this team to any wins So you might as well let's should do or have the season and and just let it ride and Best case scenario.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_02]: He's great and we have our quarter back and we have two first-round picks next year and We're off to the races with all this young talent and we're the building blocks are there and we're ascending
- 51:35[SPEAKER_02]: worst case scenario.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_02]: He's terrible.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_02]: We don't win any games and now we've got two first run picks next year to try to get it right at the quarterback position.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_02]: It makes zero sense to anybody else take a snap at a quarterback this year in the regular season.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_01]: Preach at my agree with the 100%.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_02]: So, uh, did you have any other names you wanted to throw out there?
- 51:56[SPEAKER_02]: We, I don't want it to, I don't even, we don't want a lot of dead air here.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think as far as risers followers, that's pretty much it for my list, all that Kenny go here in a second.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_01]: I just wanted to shout out like, you mentioned our Andre Schmidt.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_01]: How nice is it not to have a kicking battle for a question in camp?
- 52:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, my mind don't even turn about kicker.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's great.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_01]: It feels so good to know that at least we believe that position is locked up.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_01]: We thought we'd do a dozen Hopkins do, but things happen.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_01]: Things changed, but I feel good about what I'm doing.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_02]: Some would say I'm not even worried about that Schmidt.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_01]: I like it.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_01]: I like it in my dad joke.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_01]: That's the only good.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_01]: That's the kind of dad joke only comes with having the second kid, right?
- 52:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_02]: I used to be able to think of that with only one kid.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_04]: Never.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_04]: So lack of sleep and like all that just turns your brain man.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_04]: So I would just say one more riser for me is that entire defense.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_04]: We just can't say enough of about how well they've done their turn.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_04]: They're creating turnovers.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_04]: The whole ball is air and breathe it in.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_04]: They're doing
- 53:05[SPEAKER_04]: enjoying seeing those highlights.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_04]: I would like to see a little bit more defensive depth, but right now gets the quality of offence that we have.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_04]: They don't need it, but we're going to need that for the regular season.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_02]: One name I guess we should throw out, and I think we did talk about Colton said it Mason Graham.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_02]: I think somebody mentioned his name, but he's been, if you can take note, make the leap this year like he has so far early in camp, that's huge for the
- 53:34[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_01]: So we just got tagged here in discord, um, Daniel, if you see just tweeted out, Todd Monk and said he's going to start the Sean Watson and Shador Sanders in each of the first two preseason games.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_01]: The next week of practice after that will decide, oh, no, I'm sorry.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_01]: The next week of practice will decide who starts which game.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess this next week will decide if it's going to be
- 54:02[SPEAKER_02]: So you didn't think of how much the better week of practice and starts that game in theory has the leg up?
- 54:12[SPEAKER_01]: Does he's getting the first crack at it?
- 54:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that would be the logical thinking here.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: Just I think this kind of goes against what you were saying earlier and what I think we all agree is make the decision soon and rather than later.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_01]: It sounds like we're not going to get that.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_02]: I guess in here's the thing is,
- 54:30[SPEAKER_02]: say should door wins you know he has a great week of practice it's next week right not this week not the rest of this week next week next Saturday is the first okay so the rest of this week of next week or whatever if should or has great practices and he gets to start in that game and he plays well
- 54:46[SPEAKER_02]: then why would you give the next guy the chances why you know like for what if the guy's playing well you know it's not like he's not get it it's not like the shun hasn't had opportunities to play well also you know so like
- 55:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like, just to just come out and blank it, say, he's going to get this one.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_02]: So what you're saying, he's going to get this one, he's going to get this one.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_02]: And then you'll make your decision for the third game after that is who the official starter is going to be.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_02]: What if, what if they both play well?
- 55:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like, I don't know.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like, are you worried at all that there's meddling?
- 55:25[SPEAKER_01]: trying to squeeze any last bit of value out of what they invested in Watson.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, personally, I don't see why they're messing around with them right now.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_04]: I think I don't need to see any more of the Sean that's I don't I don't need to see anymore I'm I'm good.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know why why this is such a hard decision I don't think they're trying to here's the thing Jimmy has no problem just lighting cash on fire He's been doing it forever.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you know, and He just he came out and said it was a swinging miss so It's one of the track that this year too, which I thought was weird
- 56:00[SPEAKER_02]: well what that's what scares me in terms of like that's why what I said at the beginning it scares me that neither guys taking the this by the rate you know and running away with it like I think you're only playing you're only messing with them if the other guys not separating
- 56:17[SPEAKER_02]: in my opinion.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_02]: So that's why I hope I'm wrong, you know, hopefully it's just a middle of the story is separating.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing to me is from what I see and from what I can gauge from people that are there.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_01]: And then obviously the reps today was like, whoa, okay, they're you tell me they're separation.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_01]: There's you can't tell me there's not separation, at least somewhat.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_02]: If there was, here's my things, I don't really care about Jimmy and I don't care about the media.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_02]: If there was really separation, Todd Munkin would be showing us that with the practice.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_02]: He wouldn't come out three weeks before the games and say, this quarterback is going to get a game and this quarterback is going to get a game.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_02]: And if you think Todd Munkin doesn't want to pick a starter, is it?
- 57:02[SPEAKER_02]: of course he would love to know who his quarterback is right now and start building game plans and building offenses around that guy.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_02]: So the fact that he just won't make a decision and he's already planning on not making one for three more weeks and tells me there can't be that much separation.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_01]: Well, just to reiterate based on this tweet, whoever
- 57:22[SPEAKER_01]: Whoever practices the best or whatever wins practice here in the next week will be named the starter for the first preseason game and then the other person will obviously then slot in to be the starter for the second game.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_01]: So that's how that's going to work.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I can wait where you think it might be better.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_04]: What get into what I said I can get why you can think it's meddling.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_04]: I mean like one guy has six intersections.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_04]: The other guy has what to and there's a lot less has a much higher percentage throwing has it like I don't I don't think it's as close.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_04]: I don't get it.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know why I can see why you would think that but I mean I don't know where they're going with that thought process that you just mentioned.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_04]: I just I don't get it.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_02]: This is real quick, Martha says he cut Watson's reps today.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_02]: At least it appears that way.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll see tomorrow.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_02]: I can't, like, I'm not going to speculate off one practice if it's the same way tomorrow in the next day.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_02]: The next day, okay, then now we're noticing a trend, but it's not a trend after one day.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_01]: And then I did see that
- 58:26[SPEAKER_01]: You know, yesterday, so Monday, Tuesday here were pads tomorrow's just going to be helmets and shorts and then there's day Friday, I think are back in pads.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_01]: Real football.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm like, I don't know, maybe that's an NFLPA thing.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, why are you going back to shorts?
- 58:43[SPEAKER_01]: Like, let's practice.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get ready for this physical game that we're playing.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I don't get it.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_04]: All right, these are two days, you know what I mean, anyways, it is what it is.
