Amen. Let's start in verse one.

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, to

the Saints which are at Ephesus and to the faithful in Christ

Jesus. So here this introduction, Paul

just goes straight to telling us that his Apostolic credentials

are based upon God's election. They're based upon God's
5:57
choosing. Paul was persecuting the early

church. He was on his way to Damascus to
6:04
arrest and imprison and to beat and to cause them to blasphemy.

And Jesus Christ wrecked him on the road and blinded him for

three days. And during that three days he
6:20
received his marching orders. And here Paul is letting the
6:26
Church of Ephesus. And he's also letting us for all
6:29
time's sake know that God chose him and that we are in Christ

Jesus. And that is like Noah getting in
6:43
to the boat. And that is what you need to
6:46
know if you want to be saved from the coming wrath.

You must be found in Jesus Christ to grace be to you and
6:59
peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

So this entire book here, Paul chooses not to give us lots of

spiritual platitudes. He doesn't try to make it super

personal. This epistle is in the highest

order of all of Paul's writings. This is the culmination of every

Pauline letter is held here in the book of Ephesians, and that

is what you need to understand. It is the totality of all of

Paul's writings in six chapters and he doesn't try to give any

kind of personal greetings. He's not trying to make it super
7:52
personal. This book is in the highest

order and it paints a beautiful masterpiece and it all points to

Jesus Christ. Every single bit of it.

Hide Paul and hide his style, hide all of his personality and

we exalt Jesus Christ in the highest during the reading of

this text and all of scripture points to Jesus Christ.

But you will see it more prominent and it reads exactly

what it says and it means it. And you can meditate upon each

of these sections and I admonish you to do so.

This is the culmination of our walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Verse 3. Blessed be the God and Father of

our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual
8:50
blessings in heavenly places. In Christ we are seated with
8:55
Christ in heavenly places and that is what you need to
8:58
understand your inheritance. If you are a blood bought, born

again believer, your inheritance is all the spiritual blessings
9:10
that are available to Jesus Christ.

It's like the prodigal son when he finally came to his senses

and he came out of the pig pen and he said, I'll just go to be

a slave. And the father ran out and put

his robe on him and put his ring on him and he slaughtered the
9:27
fattened cow. And that is what you need to

understand is that when you come home, when you finally come to
9:34
your senses, when you finally become a new creation, all of
9:41
the inheritance of Jesus Christ becomes yours.

And that is what we need to understand.

And so many of us are selling our birthright for a mess of

pottage every day. Whenever we slip desperately
9:57
down into sin, when we slip desperately down into our own
10:02
emotions and feelings, whenever we are trusting in the ways of
10:07
this world and we're not steeped and rooted and grounded in God's
10:11
Word, we will be dismayed and we will be cut down.

And we will be completely debased whenever we do not
10:20
understand our inheritance in Christ Jesus.

When we are only operating in the same ways that this world
10:29
operates in, you will find yourself in a deplorable
10:34
situation. And that is what we all need to
10:37
understand is Jesus Christ says come up here, come up into the
10:43
heavenly realm, come up into the holiest of holy places, come and
10:47
dine and come and suck and come and be here and seated with Him
10:53
in heavenly places. And we can have that inheritance
10:56
now. And it is not something that we
10:58
are waiting on, friends. He gives us it in part.

We can see dimly and darkly now, and one day we will see into the
11:07
fullness, but we cannot pretend as if we are still the old man,
11:14
because we are not. If you are in Christ, and Christ
11:18
in you, you are a new creation, and we need not keep going back
11:23
into our feelings and emotions and trusting our senses and
11:27
circumstances. We need not try to trust in
11:30
Mammon friends. We need not try to trust in our
11:34
own abilities and reasonings and ponderings and musings.

We must come up into the heavenly places with Him.
11:43
We must understand that we have the mind of Christ and we are
11:47
not in confusion, and that we are His and He is ours, and we
11:56
have all of the spiritual blessings and inheritance as our
12:01
own now. And we will have it completely
12:05
and fully after we take our last breath, or when He calls us up
12:10
into the clouds to meet Him in the air.

And there we will be with Him forever more and receive our
12:16
rewards which are with Him for according as He has chosen us in
12:24
Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy
12:30
and without blame before Him in love.

That's the whole key there, that love, peace.

You don't even know love unless you know God.

God is love, and what this world calls love is far from the love
12:46
of God. God is love and God is good and
12:51
God is holy. And if you are in Christ then
12:54
you can be holy because he is holy.

And look at how he's the Alpha and the Omega.

He's the beginning and the end, friends.

He chose you before the foundations of the earth because

he's already at the end. And that is the thing that we
13:12
humans struggle with the most is this little piece called time.

We cannot understand how God lives outside of time.

It is far beyond our comprehension.

Even the smartest person who has ever lived, is living, or will
13:36
ever live cannot wrap their finite minds the size of a soda
13:42
can. They cannot wrap their minds
13:45
around this omnipresent piece of God's personality of God's
13:55
being, this omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent person

of God. And that is what we struggle
14:06
with the most because we are still operating within our
14:12
carnality and mortality. And it is hard for us to try to
14:18
wrap our minds around the fact that God is at the beginning and
14:22
God is at the end. And He already knows what we're
14:26
going to do. And He gives us free will and we
14:29
must choose Him. But it brings Him the most
14:33
amount of glory when we choose to serve Him.

He could have created us to serve Him out of the gate.
14:41
From the moment of conception we could have been bent towards
14:47
serving Him and acknowledging Him and loving Him and obeying
14:53
Him. But He chose to give us free
14:56
will and we must choose Him, and that is what gives Him the

greatest amount of glory. But He already knows who is
15:06
going to choose Him. And there are many who want to
15:10
work their way into heaven. And they've done all these
15:13
great, wonderful, amazing things, and they're trying to
15:18
win God's love and favor. And they don't feel God's
15:21
presence. And they're searching and
15:24
seeking, and they are working for their salvation.

And God is distant from them, and they get offended and they
15:31
fall away. And God was distant from them
15:34
because He already knew that they would fall away.

What a thought. And there are those who care
15:46
nothing for God today, and they're going their own way.
15:49
And the love of God is pursuing them.

They are the one out of the 100 and God has left the 99 and he's
15:57
pursuing that one despicable Sinner who's in the pigpen,

who's squandering all of the inheritance.

And God is pursuing that person. And all they have to do is turn
16:11
around. And God is already there,

friends, because he already knows that they're going to
16:19
surrender. And aren't all angels
16:23
ministering spirits sent to protect those that will inherit
16:29
eternal life? God already knows who belongs to
16:32
Him. And you might get completely
16:36
turned around in this entire theology, but it is only because
16:43
all the collective minds and all of the computer programming and
16:47
everything put together cannot even scratch the surface of the
16:52
infinite wisdom of God and the infinite abilities of God to
16:59
know what is going to happen and to be able to do whatever He
17:04
pleases, Friends. And we cannot call God into the
17:08
courtroom. We cannot approach God from a
17:11
moralistic approach. We cannot tell God how to
17:15
behave. Friends, God has the ability to
17:18
know who is going to be there with Him in the end, and we
17:23
cannot even start to fathom this reality.

And He can predestine us, and He can choose us.

Before He even breathed life into the dirt clump called Adam,

before He even formed Adam, Before when the earth was void
17:43
and without form and the darkness hovered over the
17:46
waters, God already knew who was going to give their life over to
17:51
Him in the end. And He created man.

And it pleased God to create us in His own image and to make us
18:02
His masterpiece. And there have been times when
18:05
we've gone our own way and it grieved God that He had even
18:09
made us. But He hasn't given up on us,
18:12
friends. And you can see today that it is
18:16
exactly going. If you get into the scriptures
18:19
and you read the Scriptures, you'll see that every single bit
18:25
of the prophecies contained in the Good Book are all coming to
18:30
fruition today. Friends, you need to understand
18:33
that everything is moving in the exact accordance with how the
18:38
Scriptures have laid them out. And God is not in heaven walking
18:42
back and forth scratching His head, trying to figure out the
18:46
next chess move on the gigantic board of time.
18:50
It is not a cat and mouse game between Satan and God.
18:54
God is sovereign and He already knows what we are going to do
18:59
before we ever do it. And He can write about it as if
19:02
it has already happened. Prophecy is not God in heaven
19:09
trying to move all the pieces around to get His will done in
19:14
this earth. Prophecy is God pinning down
19:18
what has already happened as if it has already happened.

Friends, that is hard for us to wrap our finite minds around.

But God is infinite in His wisdom and power, and we should
19:36
not marvel that the demons are subject to us.

We should marvel that our names are written in the Lamb's book
19:44
of life. It should cause you to fall on
19:51
your face today and to work out your salvation with fear and
19:58
trembling. We must have love, friends, that

is the key. If you know Him, and if you are
20:11
known by Him, then you will know this love that covers a
20:16
multitude of sins. 5 Having predestined us unto the adoption
20:22
of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good
20:29
pleasure of His will. So God, he predestined us.

He knew that we would be there with Him in the end, and He
20:41
pursued us in our sinful, debaucherous behavior.

And there are many right now who are still stuck in addiction.

They're still stuck out there, but God is pursuing them, and
20:54
He's waiting for them to give their lives over to Him.

Friends And you can see that it pleases him, and it is his will

to adopt us. And this is not just a child in
21:11
a parent relationship. This is an air of a Kingdom.

This is an air of royalty. Friends, we are adopted and we
21:20
are given a heavenly inheritance, and we can have it
21:26
in part now, but we will have it in full then.

Six to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He has
21:38
made us accepted in the beloved, that is, in Jesus Christ.

He accepts us only by what Jesus Christ did for us.

We could never make ourselves holy.
21:51
We could never make ourselves pure.
21:54
We could never make ourselves blameless.
21:57
We could never make ourselves sinless.

We could never behave our way into God's presence.

It is only in the beloved, it is only in the blood of Jesus

Christ that we are made holy and spotless and pure before the
22:14
holy eyes of God Almighty, and we praise Him and we bask in
22:23
this glory of God. And the only way that we could

ever do that is by putting on Christ's righteousness so that
22:30
we can come boldly into the throne room of grace, into the
22:34
holiest of holy places, Friends, this sea of glass mingled with
22:40
fire. And we worship Him in spirit and
22:43
truth, in the beloved seven, in whom we have redemption through
22:53
his blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of
23:02
his grace. It is grace, friends.

It's unmerited. You did not earn it.
23:09
Christ earned it for us on the cross.

It's not about what we do. It's all about what He did.

And what you need to understand is He bought us back from sin.

He bought us back from death. He bought us back from all of
23:29
the sinful, carnal, natural, fleshy ways that Adam sold us
23:37
out to from the pits of hell. Friends, Jesus went down and
23:44
snatched the keys and now He has them and He can unlock every
23:49
chain that you wrap around yourself.
23:52
Jesus has the key to it. And we do not have to succumb to
23:57
fear. We do not have to succumb to
23:59
death. We do not have to succumb to all
24:02
of the depravity of humanity. We can come up into His glorious
24:09
presence and be seated with Him in heavenly places.

He redeemed us by His innocent blood spilled out for us.

And if we will get covered in the blood, not just dunked in
24:21
water, but if we will get covered in the blood of Jesus
24:24
Christ, then we can know that we know that we know that.

We know that none of the sins that we have ever committed, are
24:31
committing, or will ever commit will ever be counted against us.

8 where in He has abounded towards us in all wisdom and

prudence. So that is what we get when we

come to Him. When we truly pour out all of

our own selfish desires, all of everything that this world has

to offer, we completely stiff arm everything and we pour

ourselves out. We pour all of our passions,

desires, wants out, and we take in and drink in the oil, friends

of the Holy Spirit and we are filled with the Holy Spirit.

He will be well pleased to give you wisdom and prudence.

Friends, in the face of all of the temptations and accusations
25:31
that are all around us, that the enemy, the Prince of the Air,
25:39
loves to rail against us and to try to get us to believe that
25:43
God is mad at us and God doesn't want to have anything to do with
25:46
us, and that we're not truly saved.

If you will pour out all of yourself and drink deeply from
25:54
the well that never runs dry, the living water, then you will
26:00
see wisdom and prudence become your inheritance. 9 Having made
26:07
known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good
26:17
pleasure which He has purposed in himself, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,

Jesus, and Jesus over every syllable, Jesus Christ he made

known unto us the mystery of His will.

It's no longer mysterious because He reveals it to us.

It's always been there, but it is hidden from the natural man.

You must be regenerated and born again to be able to peek and to

peer into the spiritual realm. Friends. 10 That in the

dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together

in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and

which are on earth, even in Him. So at the fullness of times,

Jesus Christ is coming back and He is going to rule and reign
27:22
for 1000 years in the Millennium, and we will see the
27:26
mortal and the immortal all mixed together and intermingled
27:31
for 1000 years. And the Bible tells us that

those that die at 100 will be considered a babe.

But then we know that the Saints are coming back with Him,
27:41
because we will be with Him forever more once we are caught
27:44
up into the air to meet Him, friends.

And so you will see the mortal and the immortal together in one
27:52
place, heaven and earth coming together for 1000 year reign,

friends. And it is well pleasing to him,

and he is going to have a peaceful reign and it will be
28:07
glorious. And all the nations will flow

into that temple to learn the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,

the God of Israel in Jerusalem, friends.

And that is why there's such a hotly contested place on planet
28:24
earth, because the devil knows that his time is short.

Do not get let off a stray and deceived, friends.

Do not approach God from a moralistic way and try to tell
28:36
God how to behave. We just get out of our own way
28:41
and get out of our own understanding, and we submit to
28:44
His holy reverence, and we say yes and Amen to all the promises

in this book, friends, and you will be eternally blessed by
28:54
that obedience. 11 in whom also we have obtained an inheritance,

being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all
29:16
things after the counsel of his own will.

It is no wonder that those who do not understand the things of
29:28
the spiritual realm that they rail against all of the
29:33
principles of God's Word. But for those of us who have
29:37
stepped into the spiritual, this causes great excitement.

And you should not be surprised when those who do not care
29:48
anything for God, who are not full of the Holy Spirit, when
29:53
they do not understand the will of God and the things of God,
29:57
and they do not understand the Word of God.

And they might open it, but it is all just a jumble of hogwash

to them, and it is just a bunch of names and places, and they do
30:09
not understand it because they are not indwelled with the Holy
30:13
Spirit. But when God takes off the
30:15
blinders and he unstops the ears, and He gives you the down
30:18
payment of the Holy Spirit, all of it becomes crystal clear. 12

that we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted
30:38
in Christ. So that is what He is after.

God is after glory. God is after His own people

choosing Him and not going their own way.

God wants us to finally come to our senses, to finally

acknowledge that He is supreme, and to lay down all of our own

lives and to take up our cross and to follow Him into the

abundant life, into eternal life.

Friends 13 In whom you also trusted, after that you heard

the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also

after that you believed you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of
31:40
promise. So that is what you need to

understand. Here is when you finally came to
31:45
your senses, when you finally acknowledged your need for Jesus
31:48
Christ, when you finally acknowledged that you could not
31:51
save yourself and that your way was not working, when you
31:55
finally surrendered unto Him, God was well pleased to give you
31:59
the down payment of the Holy Spirit.

Friends, And now you are marked with his identity, and you are
32:09
with him in heavenly places. 14 Which is the earnest of our
32:17
inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession unto
32:23
the praise of His glory. One day we will get immortal
32:27
bodies. One day we will finally see in
32:32
the fullness of what we have tasted and seen in part, and
32:37
that is what we yearn for. We groan in these earthly tents.

Our spirit friends groans towards the fullness that we
32:49
know is available to us. God has placed eternity into the
32:54
hearts of man and we know that we were created for a world
32:58
beyond this one. And that is why we get so

incredibly upset with death, because it feels like such a
33:09
betrayal. Because we know that we were
33:13
created to live forever, friends, but we do not need to
33:19
fear the chosen chariot that God sends to take us into glory.

By and by. We can die to death today,
33:30
friends. We do not need to fear death.

15. Wherefore I also, after I heard
33:41
of your faith in the Lord Jesus and love to all the Saints, 16
33:51
cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my
33:56
prayers. So Paul is saying, when I heard

of your conversion, when I heard of the droves that were coming

to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, coming into a
34:05
relationship with Yahweh through Jesus Christ, I have rejoiced

and I have prayed for you earnestly. 17 that the God of

our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you
34:26
the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of
34:33
Him. So Paul is pleading, as we
34:37
should also, that we will receive the spirit of wisdom and
34:41
revelation, and that the Word of God will be quickened in the
34:45
inner man and it will be alive to us, friends.

And we will have a spiritual appetite and we will not crave
34:54
the things of this world, but we will crave God's Word.

Friends is what we yearn for. And I pray that God will give

you that spiritual hunger today, friends.

And it is the glory of God that encompasses us and surrounds us,

and we are undone and undignified in His presence,

Friends. 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened,
35:24
that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what
35:31
the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the Saints.

We will easily give up all the things of this world.

When we catch a glimpse of His glory, when we catch a glimpse
35:42
of the inheritance of the elders casting the crowns and only one
35:48
found worthy, the Lamb that was slain before the foundations of
35:52
the earth. Friends, we can easily give up
35:57
all of this life and all the riches and all the power and all
36:00
the greed and all of the authority and everything that we
36:04
could ever get down here. When Satan leads you into the
36:08
top, tallest, top place and he shows you all the kingdoms of
36:12
the earth and says, bow down to me and I will give you these.

We can stiff arm that pride and arrogance.
36:20
We can stiff arm all of our carnal, fleshy ways of thinking
36:25
when we finally catch a glimpse of the inheritance available to
36:29
us in Christ Jesus. This world pales in comparison.

This world is passing away. It's fading away.
36:39
It's being eaten up like a moth. And, clothing friends, far be it
36:44
from us to trade our inheritance for a mess of pottage. 19 And
36:56
what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us?

Word, who believe according to the working of His mighty power.

God is all powerful, friends, and He is able to make good on
37:12
all the promises that He gives us in this good book from
37:16
Revelation, from Genesis to Revelation.

We cannot look at the Bible as a book of rules.

You'll get turned around quick, but when you finally start
37:26
reading the Word of God, looking for Jesus on every page and
37:30
looking for the promises of God on every single page, then you
37:34
will finally start to understand that God is all powerful and He
37:39
can make good on all the promises that He gives us.

He is mighty in power, He's exceeding in greatness, and His
37:46
power is toward us. And if God is for us, then who
37:50
can be against us? And we need not fear those that
37:53
can kill the body, but we need to fear the one that can kill
37:56
the body and cast our soul into hell.

And what does it profit a man? To gain the whole world, but to

lose his soul? 20 which he wrought in Christ,

when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own
38:14
right hand in the heavenly places.

The same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives in
38:21
you and lives in me, believer. And he will raise us up in the
38:26
same manner. 21 far above all principality and power and might
38:38
and dominion, and every name that is named not only in this
38:43
world but also in that which is to come.

He is far above every government Jesus Christ exalted over every

single ruler, every single king, every single municipality,

principality over all entities, every name.

He is the name that is above all names, friends, and the only

name that can save Jesus Christ. Bring that name upon your lips

today and watch the darkness a spell watch it go, watch it
39:21
leave. Bring that name upon your lips,

friends. That is what you need to

understand is in the end, God wins period.

We need not fear all of the things that are happening in the
39:39
world today. We need to stand firm.

We need to increase our faith and we do not need to back down.
