• 1 00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:02,600 It's still real to me, damn it! 2 00:00:02,600 --> 00:00:13,000 What up, eee-oh! 3 00:00:13,000 --> 00:00:17,000 Ooh, welcome everybody! 4 00:00:17,000 --> 00:00:20,400 Welcome to this week's edition of the SoRealDest show, 5 00:00:20,400 --> 00:00:30,400 Episodes 789 for March 27, 2025. Welcome to this week's edition of S-R-T-U. 6 00:00:30,400 --> 00:00:36,400 I am one after the show, I am Jeff Packie, joined every single week from my coast, 7 00:00:36,400 --> 00:00:41,400 the one on the Dr. Dre Franklin. Dr. Dre, are you here to ruin rest, same my friend? 8 00:00:41,400 --> 00:00:49,400 I was gonna say something about that, but apparently from what I've been told, 9 00:00:49,400 --> 00:00:53,400 I've already done that by people who listen to this show. 10 00:00:53,400 --> 00:00:59,400 I already had people, I had something this week, tell me that basically I don't know anything about wrestling 11 00:00:59,400 --> 00:01:04,400 and I should just give up and quit. So apparently I have ruined wrestling for some people. 12 00:01:04,400 --> 00:01:15,400 Is anyone reacting to your thoughts on this podcast? Yes, actually, I don't want to have the full conversation yet, 13 00:01:15,400 --> 00:01:23,400 but because I don't watch AEW content from beginning to end, therefore I cannot talk about it. 14 00:01:23,400 --> 00:01:28,400 Was this like in a DM? Was this on Facebook? 15 00:01:28,400 --> 00:01:36,400 I actually want one of my friends sent me a message on Facebook, basically saying that since I don't watch stuff from beginning to end 16 00:01:36,400 --> 00:01:41,400 and that I shouldn't comment on it at all. And they were listening to this podcast? 17 00:01:41,400 --> 00:01:47,400 I haven't talked to him offline in months and so apparently that was where it all came from. 18 00:01:47,400 --> 00:01:53,400 Interesting, so that's a normal course of conversation on the internet. 19 00:01:53,400 --> 00:01:59,400 Yeah, so yeah, but so apparently me and John Cena, we're just going to ruin wrestling for everybody. I'm down for it. 20 00:01:59,400 --> 00:02:01,400 I'm good to go with ruining wrestling for people now. 21 00:02:01,400 --> 00:02:03,400 See, I didn't know it was in relation to watching AEW. 22 00:02:03,400 --> 00:02:10,400 I thought maybe you had created a title in Rocket City Championship Wrestling that was going to be used more for a toy as a toy than anything else. 23 00:02:10,400 --> 00:02:14,400 I don't know if you were doing any spin or spin. Can I create the ruin wrestling championship? 24 00:02:14,400 --> 00:02:20,400 I think you may have an action, this will probably be some sort of independent wrestling promotion at some point. 25 00:02:20,400 --> 00:02:25,400 Oh, now there's there's minus top for whatever I branch out and actually start my own promotion on my own. 26 00:02:25,400 --> 00:02:28,400 It's going to be ruin, ruin wrestling for everyone wrestling. 27 00:02:28,400 --> 00:02:37,400 Now is it ruin ruin, ruin championship wrestling? Is it RCW? Is it ruin wrestling council like RWC? 28 00:02:37,400 --> 00:02:41,400 Ruin wrestling alliance. Okay, RWI. 29 00:02:41,400 --> 00:02:46,400 Yeah, so that way I can group people into it because it's an alliance and that's what they do. 30 00:02:46,400 --> 00:02:50,400 The ruin wrestling council sounds fun too, that sounds official. 31 00:02:50,400 --> 00:02:55,400 Yeah, RWC, I don't think, I feel like we don't have a lot of C's at the end of wrestling promotions anymore. 32 00:02:55,400 --> 00:03:00,400 The only time we see that is when they talk about the IWC, the internet wrestling community speaking. 33 00:03:00,400 --> 00:03:06,400 I think Carlos Cologne, I mean the one down there in Puerto Rico was the WWC of I believe, was it it? 34 00:03:06,400 --> 00:03:08,400 I believe it was the WC or WC. 35 00:03:08,400 --> 00:03:10,400 Yeah, a world wrestling council. 36 00:03:10,400 --> 00:03:14,400 Yeah, so, and that was one of the most hardcore promotions there was. 37 00:03:14,400 --> 00:03:21,400 So if we go that route, I'm good with it. I'll, I'll take a page from the Cologne's there, they're back on the mainland now wrestling. 38 00:03:21,400 --> 00:03:24,400 So we're, we're going with that there. 39 00:03:24,400 --> 00:03:27,400 We got Cologne's in TNA and Cologne and WWE. 40 00:03:27,400 --> 00:03:30,400 There's just not a Cologne in AEW, so I guess it doesn't count. 41 00:03:30,400 --> 00:03:32,400 Or as Miss and Mora would say the Cologne's so. 42 00:03:32,400 --> 00:03:35,400 Cologne's. Yes. Welcome back. Welcome back. 43 00:03:35,400 --> 00:03:40,400 So another week, another week of build towards the WrestleMania 41 car, Dr. Trey. 44 00:03:40,400 --> 00:03:47,400 We have two matches that are now part of the WrestleMania car looking at the new and confirmed matches. 45 00:03:47,400 --> 00:03:50,400 The first being and they both were official following SmackDown. 46 00:03:50,400 --> 00:03:53,400 The first match was Kevin Owens taking on Randy Orton. 47 00:03:53,400 --> 00:03:56,400 That is now confirmed for WrestleMania 41. 48 00:03:56,400 --> 00:04:00,400 As KO tried to apologize and reconcile with Randy Orton on SmackDown. 49 00:04:00,400 --> 00:04:06,400 Randy Orton declines and makes a wrestle and you know challenges, challenges him to a match at WrestleMania 41. 50 00:04:06,400 --> 00:04:13,400 That match becomes official during the show and I'm still wondering if and how Samy Zayn makes his present felt in this one. 51 00:04:13,400 --> 00:04:16,400 So as it stands right now, Dr. Trey. 52 00:04:16,400 --> 00:04:21,400 And I always have to say this when it comes to WrestleMania matches, we will be getting Kevin Owens versus Randy Orton in WrestleMania. 53 00:04:21,400 --> 00:04:24,400 It is a first official, it is confirmed. 54 00:04:24,400 --> 00:04:34,400 And when you look at the resume of WrestleMania matches that Kevin Owens has had in his life, he may have the best opponent resume in the history of WrestleMania now. 55 00:04:34,400 --> 00:04:38,400 Yeah, the only one he's missing I guess it'd be either seeing it or takers. 56 00:04:38,400 --> 00:04:51,400 I don't think he's wrestled either one of those guys that many but if you can throw Randy Orton, Stone Cold, Usos, Daniel Bryan, Shane McMahon, I mean he's like, there's a really diverse list on there as well. 57 00:04:51,400 --> 00:04:52,400 Jericho. 58 00:04:52,400 --> 00:04:54,400 Jericho, I mean- 59 00:04:54,400 --> 00:04:55,400 Seth Rollins. 60 00:04:55,400 --> 00:04:58,400 Yeah, I mean the guys basically wrestled the who's who. 61 00:04:58,400 --> 00:05:07,400 I mean like I said, he's kind of just missing, you know, Rock, Cena and Takeer and I guess a match with Roman. 62 00:05:07,400 --> 00:05:16,400 So out of the four guys, he's had just about everybody else worth their stones because he's wrestled across generations at WrestleMania. 63 00:05:16,400 --> 00:05:19,400 He never got Vince but he got Shane at least. 64 00:05:19,400 --> 00:05:21,400 So I guess that's where we go with it. 65 00:05:21,400 --> 00:05:30,400 Then the other match that is now new and confirmed for WrestleMania 41, Dr. Dre and you have been vocal about this one my friend. 66 00:05:30,400 --> 00:05:37,400 It is official Roman Reigns versus Seth Freakin Rollins versus CM Punk in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 41. 67 00:05:37,400 --> 00:05:45,400 The match becomes official after a very fun segment and bra'll closes out Smackdown, pumpkin outs is on a contract signing for this Friday Smackdown. 68 00:05:45,400 --> 00:05:49,400 This is not how I envision all three of these men being used for WrestleMania 41. 69 00:05:49,400 --> 00:05:54,400 I would have figured Punk versus Rollins or Punk versus Reigns as a minimum but here we are. 70 00:05:54,400 --> 00:06:01,400 We get Reigns, Rollins and Punk and there's some rumblings right now that this may headline one of the nights at WrestleMania 41. 71 00:06:01,400 --> 00:06:04,400 Your thoughts on this match become unofficial. 72 00:06:04,400 --> 00:06:08,400 I can almost guarantee you it's headlighting night one. 73 00:06:08,400 --> 00:06:17,400 This is the way that you get that the main event WrestleMania monkey off of Seth Rollins, I mean off of a CM Punk's back. 74 00:06:17,400 --> 00:06:22,400 It still gets Roman Reigns, his main event match for WrestleMania which you want absolutely. 75 00:06:22,400 --> 00:06:28,400 Arguably the top star in the company not named Rocker or Cody right now. 76 00:06:28,400 --> 00:06:32,400 And Seth has history of both of them and he's arguably right now. 77 00:06:32,400 --> 00:06:40,400 He's the workhorse of WWE for the better part of the last 10 years outside of a couple of knee injuries. 78 00:06:40,400 --> 00:06:47,400 I mean he's been the go-to guy so this to me is kind of like the best way to kind of put them all together. 79 00:06:47,400 --> 00:06:51,400 Most fans love Triple Threat matches because anything can happen. 80 00:06:51,400 --> 00:07:00,400 And it also still saves the favor owed to CM Punk from Paul Heyman for Post-Restyl Maynays. 81 00:07:00,400 --> 00:07:04,400 So you still have that storyline to play out as well afterwards. 82 00:07:04,400 --> 00:07:11,400 It checks a lot of the boxes without having to give away all the secrets so to speak. 83 00:07:11,400 --> 00:07:15,400 You can still have a little bit of mystery post-Restyl Maynays coming out of this match. 84 00:07:15,400 --> 00:07:22,400 See I like you, I do believe that as of right now on March the 27th, this is the match that will headline night one. 85 00:07:22,400 --> 00:07:28,400 I would make a strong case especially if J.U.S. was winning over Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. 86 00:07:28,400 --> 00:07:37,400 That match should be the one that closes R.S.M.A.41 but I have a feeling that this entire thing we're already in a favor, Dr. Tray with Paul Heyman. 87 00:07:37,400 --> 00:07:43,400 That's what circles this back around where I could see the favor to Paul Heyman is to make this a main event match at R.S.M.A.41. 88 00:07:43,400 --> 00:07:50,400 However Paul Heyman is able to do that and that is the repaying the favor and this is the match that headlines R.S.M.A.41 night one. 89 00:07:50,400 --> 00:07:57,400 Yeah but I mean in real like and this is you know if you're going off K-Fabe we're going in the reality of the pro-Restyl World. 90 00:07:57,400 --> 00:08:00,400 Does Paul Heyman have that kind of stroke? 91 00:08:00,400 --> 00:08:05,400 Can he go to Nick Alderson go this has to be the main event match? 92 00:08:05,400 --> 00:08:06,400 I think he can. 93 00:08:06,400 --> 00:08:10,400 We saw that four years of the bloodline storyline. 94 00:08:10,400 --> 00:08:12,400 I mean but I don't think he actually demanded. 95 00:08:12,400 --> 00:08:25,400 We never saw him actually demand that it's the main event match but once again that could play out in the contract signing on Smackdown this week is that 96 00:08:25,400 --> 00:08:29,400 Paul Heyman refuses to sign the contract unless this is the main event match. 97 00:08:29,400 --> 00:08:37,400 So there's a way for the play-in but for me I think just off name recognition value like look I love J.U. 98 00:08:37,400 --> 00:08:40,400 So I think you know how much I love Goonther. 99 00:08:40,400 --> 00:08:47,400 Of name recognition though these three guys are bigger stars than Jane Goonther. 100 00:08:47,400 --> 00:08:54,400 I totally agree but I mean night one has always been that one since they started doing the two nights where you've had like 101 00:08:54,400 --> 00:09:00,400 really good debates as to the so we all know what the match will be that closes WrestleMania on night two. 102 00:09:00,400 --> 00:09:03,400 It's typically it's been a reigns lesnar, reigns Cody right. 103 00:09:03,400 --> 00:09:08,400 We know that with the exception of last year with the tag team match with that made a ton of sense to carry it over to night two 104 00:09:08,400 --> 00:09:12,400 with rock and reigns versus Rawls and Rhodes. 105 00:09:12,400 --> 00:09:21,400 Any other year I feel like it's been a match where it's what the wrestling fans are demanding to headline WrestleMania like they deserve that honor for night one. 106 00:09:21,400 --> 00:09:29,400 And it was K.O. and Sammy versus the O.S. Sasha Banks Mercedes Monet taking on Bianca Belair. 107 00:09:29,400 --> 00:09:35,400 It was always like those matches that were leading the charge for night one. 108 00:09:35,400 --> 00:09:44,400 And I think Gunther J.U. so could up end a triple threat with those three guys but it wouldn't shock me if those three guys 109 00:09:44,400 --> 00:09:51,400 and if the favor of Paul Heyman and all that stuff has to do with the main event match. If you're putting the title on J.U. 110 00:09:51,400 --> 00:09:58,400 so I would love to see WrestleMania and especially if night two is set to have let's say John Cena win the title. 111 00:09:58,400 --> 00:10:04,400 Then let them like you did with WrestleMania 39. Let them go home happy with night one. 112 00:10:04,400 --> 00:10:07,400 K.O. and Sammy raising the title up in the air do that with Jay. 113 00:10:07,400 --> 00:10:15,400 And then night two reigns retains John Cena wins. He's the heel. I could see that playing out that way also. 114 00:10:15,400 --> 00:10:23,400 I think that is the only match the only two matches outside of Rhodes and John Cena that I think could headline one of the nights of WrestleMania right now. 115 00:10:23,400 --> 00:10:28,400 And specifically night one is the triple threat match that we're talking right now and Gunther versus J.U. 116 00:10:28,400 --> 00:10:41,400 Yeah I think it comes down to once again how they viewed J.U. so and I mean that like if you go online if you go on the internet and you look at the fan people are still kind of you know, 117 00:10:41,400 --> 00:10:49,400 shitting on the J.U. so you know in the World title run leading in I mean I will tell you the rumble win heading into Mania. 118 00:10:49,400 --> 00:11:03,400 The World title isn't as strong as it has been the past which I can argue that but is merchandise sales is above almost everybody else's like I mean in the crowd the general populace loves J.U. 119 00:11:03,400 --> 00:11:17,400 So I think it kind of depends on where they view J.U. so as is he a legitimate a you know a plus level star is he a guy that you can build a company around or is he. 120 00:11:17,400 --> 00:11:28,400 To quote Stephanie and triple H about Daniel Bryan years ago is he a B plus player so I think that's where it comes down to anything else on the triple threat because I think this now bleeds in the guntha versus J.U. 121 00:11:28,400 --> 00:11:34,400 So obviously I think I think we're good on the triple threat I'm excited but I loved. 122 00:11:34,400 --> 00:11:45,400 Hey did you like punk's line of I work with children or did you think that he did that for the internet wrestling fans yeah yeah because the crowd didn't pop for it all but the marks all a 123 00:11:45,400 --> 00:12:01,400 bit up but then also the I brought you guys in I love that line also yeah I like that that's the build that they're going back with with you know 12 13 years ago he was responsible in air quotes for bringing the shield into WWE so I like that and I do like the little 124 00:12:01,400 --> 00:12:11,400 brother stuff that he does with Seth Ron so the dynamic of the triple threat is really good and I'm excited for yes getting to counter versus J.U. 125 00:12:11,400 --> 00:12:27,400 So J.U. So slips and Gunther catches him as they keep further in the storyline that J.U. So doesn't belong with Gunther on raw this past Monday I felt like that was really smart by creative to make his botch over the top rope the week before part of this storyline that Gunther is in J. 126 00:12:27,400 --> 00:12:45,400 He's had Gunther is now set to face Jimmy Uso on this Monday's raw Jimmy and J reunited for the first time in like a year and a half two years on raw I don't know why we didn't hype that up and why the mystery partner route because we all felt that was going to be Jimmy and J nonetheless I like the creative here Dr. 127 00:12:45,400 --> 00:13:01,400 Trey for covering up the botch from the week before and making it part of the storyline thoughts and takeaways from this week with Gunther and J.U. So so far. 128 00:13:01,400 --> 00:13:17,400 He's so passionate about it that he's not thinking like he's not like Gunther is a thinking man's wrestler he'll pick you apart where J.U. So emotional and so driven it's not just that he's in his hands that J.U. 129 00:13:17,400 --> 00:13:45,400 J.U. So he's got to prove that point and he's over anxious I guess is the way of playing but I thought it's coming off really well like this was a build that I thought would take some time to get fans to totally buy into it and I think they're getting there like it's literally with that rocky Drago stuff where J.U. is such an underdog and he keeps getting caught in these mistakes that he's just over anxious or over passionate about or he's just going off sheer emotion that Gunther is going to be there and then he's going to be there. 130 00:13:45,400 --> 00:13:49,240 You've got your own, my share of emotion that Gomther keeps catching them. 131 00:13:49,240 --> 00:13:51,440 And you know, well, that help him or hurt him, Aresselmy. 132 00:13:51,440 --> 00:13:57,740 I like the dichotomy and the contrast in that storytelling to make fans really just totally 133 00:13:57,740 --> 00:14:00,040 buy in to JB in that underdog. 134 00:14:00,040 --> 00:14:04,080 Let's go to the ladies with Cody Rhodes versus John Cena for the WWE Championship at Recess 135 00:14:04,080 --> 00:14:05,680 Manny, 41. 136 00:14:05,680 --> 00:14:09,160 Another great opening, seven Antti Raw, where John Cena continues to play mind games 137 00:14:09,160 --> 00:14:13,380 with Cody Rhodes and allows to be the last real world champion and bringing the title 138 00:14:13,380 --> 00:14:16,340 with him into retirement and ruining wrestling. 139 00:14:16,340 --> 00:14:21,020 The only thing that is missing is some sort of explanation on aligning with the rock. 140 00:14:21,020 --> 00:14:26,460 He really hasn't addressed that specific alignment, per se. 141 00:14:26,460 --> 00:14:32,100 You know, the break up and a toxic relationship with the fans, I get, I would like to see 142 00:14:32,100 --> 00:14:35,380 Cena explain the relationship with the rock a little bit more or have the rock come 143 00:14:35,380 --> 00:14:40,140 back to explain that relationship from both sides, a little bit of background, so that 144 00:14:40,140 --> 00:14:41,700 would be nice. 145 00:14:41,700 --> 00:14:45,180 They are set to have another face to face in London this Monday. 146 00:14:45,180 --> 00:14:51,300 According to some things that I read online, reportedly this is the last potential scheduled 147 00:14:51,300 --> 00:14:55,020 television date for John Cena heading into Recess Manny, 41. 148 00:14:55,020 --> 00:14:58,900 I can't imagine that's true if so. 149 00:14:58,900 --> 00:15:00,220 What do we do from here? 150 00:15:00,220 --> 00:15:02,900 Because the last two weeks have been pretty good. 151 00:15:02,900 --> 00:15:09,060 Another great opening segment and I like how we got a little bit more deeper into this 152 00:15:09,060 --> 00:15:12,060 new John Cena character, Dr. Try. 153 00:15:12,060 --> 00:15:13,060 Yeah. 154 00:15:13,060 --> 00:15:14,060 And that's one thing you're hoping for. 155 00:15:14,060 --> 00:15:15,060 You're hoping for layers. 156 00:15:15,060 --> 00:15:16,060 You're hoping for depth. 157 00:15:16,060 --> 00:15:22,900 I mean, we got a flare reference out of him as to why he's pushing for 17. 158 00:15:22,900 --> 00:15:27,660 You know, like I like that we're peeling back in and the other thing is this might, if John 159 00:15:27,660 --> 00:15:32,260 goes away and then the rock comes out to kind of cover for a couple of those weeks while 160 00:15:32,260 --> 00:15:34,900 Cena's away, that'll work well, too. 161 00:15:34,900 --> 00:15:37,100 I, because we don't remember. 162 00:15:37,100 --> 00:15:42,460 And we got, you know, rock him out that first time and we saw him hold up the three fingers. 163 00:15:42,460 --> 00:15:46,340 We do this throat slit, you know, and and a limitation chamber. 164 00:15:46,340 --> 00:15:47,340 He holds up two fingers. 165 00:15:47,340 --> 00:15:50,340 That means he's still got one more trick up his sleeve here. 166 00:15:50,340 --> 00:15:52,100 So we still haven't figured out what that one is. 167 00:15:52,100 --> 00:15:55,540 So there's, there's depths and layers to it. 168 00:15:55,540 --> 00:16:00,420 Also I know like Cody also dressed down a little bit more. 169 00:16:00,420 --> 00:16:03,020 You know, he had the shirt open, no jacket. 170 00:16:03,020 --> 00:16:08,020 He was just, you know, like a little more getting more to the people, I guess. 171 00:16:08,020 --> 00:16:13,020 Like it's weird when you have such a well dressed baby face and a heel who's dressed like the 172 00:16:13,020 --> 00:16:17,780 people in the crowd to kind of get that, you know, vibe from the people that go like, 173 00:16:17,780 --> 00:16:18,780 "That's my guy." 174 00:16:18,780 --> 00:16:21,460 Because people usually go with, "That's my guy." 175 00:16:21,460 --> 00:16:26,460 If they remind them of them, I don't know we have that yet because people like Cena 176 00:16:26,460 --> 00:16:30,820 still dresses like, you know, the kid in the crowd that he may fund up two weeks ago. 177 00:16:30,820 --> 00:16:35,820 We dress is still like your boss that's probably going to fire you at some point. 178 00:16:35,820 --> 00:16:41,740 It's a weird contrast to kind of work off of, but the more we get Cena laying in these deeper 179 00:16:41,740 --> 00:16:45,740 meanings and layers as to why he's doing what he's doing, the more people will get bought 180 00:16:45,740 --> 00:16:46,740 into it. 181 00:16:46,740 --> 00:16:49,940 Tiffany Stratton versus Charlotte Flair for the WWE Women's Championship. 182 00:16:49,940 --> 00:16:53,500 We had a good back and forth interview segment on SmackDown. 183 00:16:53,500 --> 00:16:57,660 Charlotte was punky Tiffany for a good portion of, until Stratton held her own towards the 184 00:16:57,660 --> 00:16:58,820 end. 185 00:16:58,820 --> 00:17:01,180 This has been a nice build so far, Dr. Trey. 186 00:17:01,180 --> 00:17:04,140 Thoughts or takeaways here from Stratton versus Flair so far? 187 00:17:04,140 --> 00:17:08,420 Yeah, I still feel like Charlotte controlled that back and forth. 188 00:17:08,420 --> 00:17:12,900 She kind of bullied her way through that, but, you know, Tiffany at the end standing up 189 00:17:12,900 --> 00:17:16,460 for herself was good because it's, once again, this is kind of the same thing we're talking 190 00:17:16,460 --> 00:17:18,460 about with, you know, with Cody being so well dressed. 191 00:17:18,460 --> 00:17:22,940 It's really hard to root for somebody that you have nothing in common with. 192 00:17:22,940 --> 00:17:27,300 And like Tiffany and Charlotte are basically like just mirror images of each other, so it's 193 00:17:27,300 --> 00:17:31,700 kind of hard to go, you know, we like Tiffany, we don't like Charlotte, but we don't like 194 00:17:31,700 --> 00:17:35,420 her because of this reason, this reason, they're kind of the same character in a lot of 195 00:17:35,420 --> 00:17:38,420 ways, just one's been around for 15 years and the other one hasn't. 196 00:17:38,420 --> 00:17:43,620 So Tiffany's got to get a little bit more depth in her character to really get people to 197 00:17:43,620 --> 00:17:45,860 buy in because it wasn't that long ago. 198 00:17:45,860 --> 00:17:51,980 She was a heel who cashed in a mind of the bank kind of cheapishly behind her opponents 199 00:17:51,980 --> 00:17:55,260 back to win a title, which is not typically how you want baby faces winning. 200 00:17:55,260 --> 00:18:02,100 So we need to say a little bit more grit to steal from Adam Copeland heading into us 201 00:18:02,100 --> 00:18:03,100 on May from Tiffany. 202 00:18:03,100 --> 00:18:04,420 I could not agree more. 203 00:18:04,420 --> 00:18:08,700 That's what I felt was the kind of takeaway there where it just felt like Charlotte was 204 00:18:08,700 --> 00:18:14,580 pulling away in regards to a build towards a WrestleMania match for verbally that she was 205 00:18:14,580 --> 00:18:19,540 a, you know, stronger opponent, more seasoned veteran than Tiffany Stratton. 206 00:18:19,540 --> 00:18:24,780 Tiffany looked to be off and trying to keep up for the most part of that segment, which 207 00:18:24,780 --> 00:18:30,740 I don't know if that's being done purposely or if that is legitimately how each character 208 00:18:30,740 --> 00:18:33,900 is in these types of moments. 209 00:18:33,900 --> 00:18:37,060 To your point, Dr. Trab, I would love to see a segment on Friday, SmackDown where we see 210 00:18:37,060 --> 00:18:39,740 a little bit more violence and toughness out of Tiffany Stratton. 211 00:18:39,740 --> 00:18:42,100 And those are things that you see from time to time. 212 00:18:42,100 --> 00:18:45,380 I always go back to Randy Orton versus Mick Foley. 213 00:18:45,380 --> 00:18:50,620 Orton was kind of just floundering a little bit in the upper mid card, mid card reign. 214 00:18:50,620 --> 00:18:53,380 And we all felt that he could break through as a top star. 215 00:18:53,380 --> 00:18:57,260 He had that hardcore match with Mick Foley and Mick Foley elevated his game to the level 216 00:18:57,260 --> 00:18:58,620 that you see today. 217 00:18:58,620 --> 00:19:01,340 And maybe that's the type of stuff that you could see with the Tiffany Stratton, Charlotte 218 00:19:01,340 --> 00:19:04,220 feud heading into WrestleMania. 219 00:19:04,220 --> 00:19:08,220 So I had very similar thoughts as you did. 220 00:19:08,220 --> 00:19:12,140 Moving on to the other women's match for the Women's World Championship, EO Sky versus Bianca 221 00:19:12,140 --> 00:19:13,140 Belair. 222 00:19:13,140 --> 00:19:18,380 EO is set to defend versus Rio this Monday in their title rematch with Bianca as the special 223 00:19:18,380 --> 00:19:20,340 guest referee. 224 00:19:20,340 --> 00:19:23,180 Banner will take on Bianca at WrestleMania 41. 225 00:19:23,180 --> 00:19:27,820 And as I watch this segment play out, Dr. Trey, I was thinking to myself, everybody's going 226 00:19:27,820 --> 00:19:29,980 to triple threat, triple threat, triple threat. 227 00:19:29,980 --> 00:19:35,540 And I'm like, could there be a scenario where let's say on night one, it's EO versus Rhea, 228 00:19:35,540 --> 00:19:37,260 EO versus Bianca. 229 00:19:37,260 --> 00:19:40,940 And the Winter Face is Bianca or Rhea on night two. 230 00:19:40,940 --> 00:19:43,020 Or are we headed to the triple threat eventually? 231 00:19:43,020 --> 00:19:47,060 I feel like we're headed towards triple threat, but I wouldn't mind seeing maybe like a 232 00:19:47,060 --> 00:19:50,500 two night storyline here with these three women. 233 00:19:50,500 --> 00:19:55,020 >> Yeah, I just also, there's part of me that goes, okay, if you do that, do you have, do 234 00:19:55,020 --> 00:20:00,380 you have EO pull the Jericho and B, Rhea, and I don't know why that works for me is if 235 00:20:00,380 --> 00:20:04,980 you have EO beat Rhea and then EO has to beat Bianca. 236 00:20:04,980 --> 00:20:10,780 Otherwise, you're just kind of feeding one person like, well, it's really beat me because 237 00:20:10,780 --> 00:20:12,700 I had a wrestle twice. 238 00:20:12,700 --> 00:20:19,260 So there's kind of like, I like it if you go to the old school Jericho, unified, championship 239 00:20:19,260 --> 00:20:20,260 or out. 240 00:20:20,260 --> 00:20:26,180 Otherwise, just make it a triple threat match and make it easy, but I fully expect Bianca 241 00:20:26,180 --> 00:20:28,460 to get involved in this match. 242 00:20:28,460 --> 00:20:32,580 And then Pierce comes out the following week and be like, look, you got involved, obviously 243 00:20:32,580 --> 00:20:33,580 you're involved. 244 00:20:33,580 --> 00:20:35,180 We'll just make this a triple threat match. 245 00:20:35,180 --> 00:20:38,540 So I guess Rhea signature does make it valid. 246 00:20:38,540 --> 00:20:42,580 So we do have six matches now confirmed for WrestleMania 41. 247 00:20:42,580 --> 00:20:46,140 We just went through each one of the six matches that is confirmed. 248 00:20:46,140 --> 00:20:50,740 We'll get to the rumored stuff now, Dr. Trey, and we'll see how the rest of this card is 249 00:20:50,740 --> 00:20:51,900 laying out. 250 00:20:51,900 --> 00:20:58,180 I expect this next match here to be announced as early as this Friday Smackdown. 251 00:20:58,180 --> 00:21:02,580 I made a case that I could see it being announced on last Friday Smackdown, but clearly they 252 00:21:02,580 --> 00:21:06,340 wanted to only save that for the spotlight of Kevin Owens, Randy Orton and the triple 253 00:21:06,340 --> 00:21:09,060 threat match with Reigns, Rollins and Punk. 254 00:21:09,060 --> 00:21:13,140 Drew McIntyre versus Damian Priest drew continues to lay out Damian Priest. 255 00:21:13,140 --> 00:21:14,980 And this looks to be very official soon. 256 00:21:14,980 --> 00:21:19,020 I would be surprised if you and I are not sitting here next week talking about this match 257 00:21:19,020 --> 00:21:21,900 in the new and confirmed section, Dr. Trey. 258 00:21:21,900 --> 00:21:27,060 >> Yeah, if it's not booked soon, I mean it will be, I mean that's where all the signs 259 00:21:27,060 --> 00:21:28,060 are going. 260 00:21:28,060 --> 00:21:29,900 And you got to have these two guys on your car. 261 00:21:29,900 --> 00:21:34,860 I mean these two guys basically were World Champions at your last WrestleMania. 262 00:21:34,860 --> 00:21:38,180 So you got to get them featured somewhere, so it does make a lot of sense. 263 00:21:38,180 --> 00:21:43,540 So, if they're trying to save some announcements, I mean, it honestly look, you and I are going 264 00:21:43,540 --> 00:21:47,700 to love this match, but on the pecking order of what's been announced so far, this is somewhere 265 00:21:47,700 --> 00:21:48,700 in the middle. 266 00:21:48,700 --> 00:21:53,620 So yeah, it's got to get kind of done soon, at least to keep building that interest for 267 00:21:53,620 --> 00:21:54,620 Mania. 268 00:21:54,620 --> 00:21:57,260 >> Another match that I see is rumored right now. 269 00:21:57,260 --> 00:22:02,740 I think we're starting to get a bunch of different equations laying out. 270 00:22:02,740 --> 00:22:06,400 So there's several of them in it started over the last couple of weeks of, could we be 271 00:22:06,400 --> 00:22:08,820 seeing Solosico versus Jacob Fattu? 272 00:22:08,820 --> 00:22:12,020 I'm starting to think that is a less likely scenario. 273 00:22:12,020 --> 00:22:16,900 Another one that is starting to play into this solo Jacob stuff is obviously the United States 274 00:22:16,900 --> 00:22:19,420 Championship at LA Night in Braun Strowman. 275 00:22:19,420 --> 00:22:24,140 So I think there's some scenarios here where you could see LA Night versus Jacob Fattu 276 00:22:24,140 --> 00:22:26,220 for the United States Championship. 277 00:22:26,220 --> 00:22:31,020 Or LA Night versus Jacob Fattu versus Braun Strowman versus Solosico in a fatal four-way 278 00:22:31,020 --> 00:22:32,540 match for the US title. 279 00:22:32,540 --> 00:22:36,900 I could also see a scenario and I think this is distance right now based on the current 280 00:22:36,900 --> 00:22:41,780 storyline for this upcoming, this past Monday and what we're seeing on Monday's RAW as 281 00:22:41,780 --> 00:22:42,780 well. 282 00:22:42,780 --> 00:22:47,060 But I could see Solos, Jacob Fattu and Tomatanga take it on LA Night, Braun Strowman and 283 00:22:47,060 --> 00:22:52,340 let's say Jimmy Uso in a three-way or a trio match. 284 00:22:52,340 --> 00:22:54,060 There's something here, Dr. Trey. 285 00:22:54,060 --> 00:22:55,860 I can't put my finger on it quite yet. 286 00:22:55,860 --> 00:22:59,540 It's not as clear as let's say the Intercontinental Championship picture. 287 00:22:59,540 --> 00:23:04,500 But I think Solo and Jacob Fattu storyline has to do with the US title at WrestleMania 288 00:23:04,500 --> 00:23:05,660 41. 289 00:23:05,660 --> 00:23:10,580 Your thoughts on some of the brainstorming here of where those folks are heading towards 290 00:23:10,580 --> 00:23:12,620 when it comes to Las Vegas? 291 00:23:12,620 --> 00:23:17,700 I mean, initially I thought of that and just having like a six-man tag but then we've 292 00:23:17,700 --> 00:23:22,420 had Jimmy talking about he's got to get on the card and the stuff was Solo and Jacob. 293 00:23:22,420 --> 00:23:29,220 You know what we haven't had recently is the big ladder match for the US title or Intercontinental 294 00:23:29,220 --> 00:23:30,220 title. 295 00:23:30,220 --> 00:23:33,500 And you got Sammy and K.O. stuff. 296 00:23:33,500 --> 00:23:37,300 We've had some great IC ladder matches at WrestleMania in the past. 297 00:23:37,300 --> 00:23:41,220 We got Zach Ryder winning one years ago. 298 00:23:41,220 --> 00:23:44,100 Why don't we just put all the, you know, hang the belt above the ring and do a six-man ladder 299 00:23:44,100 --> 00:23:45,100 match. 300 00:23:45,100 --> 00:23:48,180 And then you could have it to where basically Jacob's climbing the ladder. 301 00:23:48,180 --> 00:23:53,380 Solo pulls him off so Solo could win the US title and then that creates board of 302 00:23:53,380 --> 00:24:01,260 the stage between Solo and Jacob as well. 303 00:24:01,260 --> 00:24:03,300 Solo and Toma did cost Jacob a two shot at the United States Championship when they 304 00:24:03,300 --> 00:24:07,020 interfered in his number one contender's match against Braun Strowman. 305 00:24:07,020 --> 00:24:11,540 Strowman is now facing LA night this Friday on SmackDown for the US title. 306 00:24:11,540 --> 00:24:14,780 It definitely seems like I said before something has been brewing with all these guys being 307 00:24:14,780 --> 00:24:17,620 involved in the US title picture heading into WrestleMania 41. 308 00:24:17,620 --> 00:24:22,060 So we'll see which direction this is heading right now but we definitely feel that this 309 00:24:22,060 --> 00:24:23,820 is involving the US title. 310 00:24:23,820 --> 00:24:27,180 I mentioned the IC title while describing the US championship. 311 00:24:27,180 --> 00:24:30,860 I think this picture is becoming a lot clearer now, Dr. Trey. 312 00:24:30,860 --> 00:24:33,820 It is feeling like Braun Breaker is going to be defending the Intercontinental Championship 313 00:24:33,820 --> 00:24:37,940 against Finn Balor, Dominic Mysterio and Penta. 314 00:24:37,940 --> 00:24:41,700 You know, especially after how Raw ended this past week with Dom trying to get Penta to join 315 00:24:41,700 --> 00:24:43,300 the Judgment Day. 316 00:24:43,300 --> 00:24:46,620 Interferring in Penta's title match and Penta denying the Judgment Day offer only to be 317 00:24:46,620 --> 00:24:48,500 laid out by Finn Balor. 318 00:24:48,500 --> 00:24:52,620 It is looking like a fatal four-way is very likely for WrestleMania 41 for the IC title, 319 00:24:52,620 --> 00:24:53,620 Dr. Trey. 320 00:24:53,620 --> 00:24:58,820 And how, I mean, it's funny in a way because was it like just three years ago, four years 321 00:24:58,820 --> 00:25:02,820 ago, I absolutely hated Domic Mysterio on the show. 322 00:25:02,820 --> 00:25:04,220 Did not want to see him do anything. 323 00:25:04,220 --> 00:25:05,220 He has completely won me over. 324 00:25:05,220 --> 00:25:09,660 How awesome is going to be if Dom wins the Intercontinental title and you know, that creates 325 00:25:09,660 --> 00:25:12,740 the final dissension in the Judgment Day to cause a disc blancer. 326 00:25:12,740 --> 00:25:17,220 But yeah, I mean, to me, on paper, that makes the most sense. 327 00:25:17,220 --> 00:25:21,020 We've seen everybody have their own issues with each other in that because now Penta is 328 00:25:21,020 --> 00:25:26,220 tight in with the Judgment Day, bronze tight in, and then we've seen the dissent between, 329 00:25:26,220 --> 00:25:27,940 you know, Finn and Dom. 330 00:25:27,940 --> 00:25:31,780 So yeah, it makes a ton of sense to go ahead and put this one down for WrestleMania as well. 331 00:25:31,780 --> 00:25:35,220 Speaking of that WrestleMania match that Dr. Trey did not like, it was Domic Mysterio 332 00:25:35,220 --> 00:25:38,580 and Roman Mysterio taking on the Miz and Logan Paul. 333 00:25:38,580 --> 00:25:42,420 Speaking of Logan Paul, it still feels like AJ Styles versus Logan Paul is the direction 334 00:25:42,420 --> 00:25:43,820 for WrestleMania 41. 335 00:25:43,820 --> 00:25:46,020 Logan has been off the last couple of weeks. 336 00:25:46,020 --> 00:25:50,340 And Logan Paul is planning on calling out AJ style on this Monday's Raw in London. 337 00:25:50,340 --> 00:25:54,500 I think based on that, Dr. Trey and maybe the limited schedule Logan has heading in the 338 00:25:54,500 --> 00:26:00,020 WrestleMania 41, this could potentially be a likely move to the new and confirmed category 339 00:26:00,020 --> 00:26:02,780 on next week's podcast as well. 340 00:26:02,780 --> 00:26:05,900 Yeah, Logan's got a very limited schedule. 341 00:26:05,900 --> 00:26:08,060 AJ's got open availability. 342 00:26:08,060 --> 00:26:12,340 So I wonder if we'll do Logan then Logan just sends out guys for a few weeks heading into 343 00:26:12,340 --> 00:26:18,420 WrestleMania to take AJ down, whether it's Wall or Theory, somebody of that ilk to kind 344 00:26:18,420 --> 00:26:21,580 of keep messing with AJ heading into Mania. 345 00:26:21,580 --> 00:26:24,260 But yeah, this is one of those matches. 346 00:26:24,260 --> 00:26:31,180 No thing is, if we talk about KO's resume, AJ's resume is fantastic in a sense of the matches 347 00:26:31,180 --> 00:26:36,500 he's put on with people that may be not on his level to kind of elevate their stuff in 348 00:26:36,500 --> 00:26:37,500 the ring. 349 00:26:37,500 --> 00:26:41,620 This might fit in that category as well because he's had great matches with, I mean, he had 350 00:26:41,620 --> 00:26:46,820 the great match with Shinsuke, the match with Shane was actually pretty good. 351 00:26:46,820 --> 00:26:49,060 The Boneyard match with Takeer. 352 00:26:49,060 --> 00:26:53,380 I mean, AJ and Logan, like on paper, you think this might be okay, but it'll probably 353 00:26:53,380 --> 00:26:55,460 end up stealing the show. 354 00:26:55,460 --> 00:26:58,060 Next here is the WWE tag team championship. 355 00:26:58,060 --> 00:27:01,980 I still feel like it's the Street Profits defending against Motor City Machine Guns, DIY, 356 00:27:01,980 --> 00:27:04,180 pretty deadly and low scars. 357 00:27:04,180 --> 00:27:08,860 The Street Profits did defeat low scars in a non-title match and now we await a match 358 00:27:08,860 --> 00:27:13,740 with a number of contenders in pretty deadly, in pretty deadly this Friday on SmackDown 359 00:27:13,740 --> 00:27:14,740 in London. 360 00:27:14,740 --> 00:27:18,460 So pretty deadly versus the Street Profits in a title match. 361 00:27:18,460 --> 00:27:21,500 Nothing else really took place on this week's SmackDown that really advanced where I think 362 00:27:21,500 --> 00:27:26,340 the tag titles at Frescimany41 are going at this point, unfortunately, but I'm still resting 363 00:27:26,340 --> 00:27:28,500 my hat on in the Fatal 5-Way match, Dr. Tray. 364 00:27:28,500 --> 00:27:31,300 And I could see this being a ladder match as well. 365 00:27:31,300 --> 00:27:34,420 Yeah, I mean, they might do one on night one and one on night two. 366 00:27:34,420 --> 00:27:39,100 I mean, we're getting kind of mirror cards and we talked about it over the last couple 367 00:27:39,100 --> 00:27:44,500 years as well, where it's like sometimes the raw card and the SmackDown card might not be 368 00:27:44,500 --> 00:27:47,780 exact, but they do have kind of mirror personalities. 369 00:27:47,780 --> 00:27:49,700 And so this might be one of them. 370 00:27:49,700 --> 00:27:53,300 Because you know, look, Champa and Gargano are triple H guys, they're not getting left off 371 00:27:53,300 --> 00:27:55,300 WrestleMania. 372 00:27:55,300 --> 00:27:58,740 So they're going to be on the show somewhere, it's just a question of like, do you feel 373 00:27:58,740 --> 00:28:02,980 like the guards are still fit into the equation with their loss? 374 00:28:02,980 --> 00:28:08,540 And with pretty deadly going as a street profits in London, is there a chance pretty deadly 375 00:28:08,540 --> 00:28:13,780 walks out of London with the tag belts, which then leads into everybody being involved 376 00:28:13,780 --> 00:28:16,540 in the match or WrestleMania as well? 377 00:28:16,540 --> 00:28:19,940 Next one here is Jade Cardgill versus Naomi. 378 00:28:19,940 --> 00:28:24,500 Naomi helps lift Morgan if he'd Jade Cardgill and what I believe was her first singles loss 379 00:28:24,500 --> 00:28:26,980 as this continues to progress forward. 380 00:28:26,980 --> 00:28:28,860 First singles loss in WWE. 381 00:28:28,860 --> 00:28:32,580 Sidebar, Live deserves a higher role in the WrestleMania41 card based on everything 382 00:28:32,580 --> 00:28:35,140 she has done over the last six to nine months. 383 00:28:35,140 --> 00:28:39,140 Nonetheless, Dr. Tray, the direction certainly still seems to be Jade Cardgill versus Naomi. 384 00:28:39,140 --> 00:28:43,300 >> Yeah, now excuse me. 385 00:28:43,300 --> 00:28:48,220 I don't know if this will end up actually on the Mania card or on the SmackDown before 386 00:28:48,220 --> 00:28:49,220 Mania. 387 00:28:49,220 --> 00:28:50,220 That's my only question. 388 00:28:50,220 --> 00:28:53,660 I don't know if this is going to be, I mean, I know they love Jade Cardgill and they 389 00:28:53,660 --> 00:28:58,460 love Naomi, but when you're booking this show out and we know triple H doesn't like to 390 00:28:58,460 --> 00:29:03,820 have a ton of matches on pay-per-views if you go, hey, we're looking at maybe 12 matches 391 00:29:03,820 --> 00:29:04,820 top. 392 00:29:04,820 --> 00:29:06,060 Does this make the top 12? 393 00:29:06,060 --> 00:29:10,260 So this might be main event of SmackDown before WrestleMania. 394 00:29:10,260 --> 00:29:11,660 But I do think it's going to happen. 395 00:29:11,660 --> 00:29:14,940 In your opinion, right, like, Live needs a better spot. 396 00:29:14,940 --> 00:29:20,340 I keep hoping they bring Nikki back with Alexa to give them a really solid women's tag 397 00:29:20,340 --> 00:29:24,300 match with Liv and Raquel Bafriya for media. 398 00:29:24,300 --> 00:29:28,340 >> Speaking of Liv Morgan, so I have down now based on what I saw on Monday, 399 00:29:28,340 --> 00:29:29,780 is Raw Doctor Try. 400 00:29:29,780 --> 00:29:35,260 I could see Liv Morgan or Raquel Rodriguez defending the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship 401 00:29:35,260 --> 00:29:37,340 against Lara Valkyrie and Bayley. 402 00:29:37,340 --> 00:29:41,780 Is that something we think that could be taking place on WrestleMania 41? 403 00:29:41,780 --> 00:29:44,820 >> I think that's an option. 404 00:29:44,820 --> 00:29:50,940 And I know they don't want to bring back the Y at six until, you know, Bow Dallas, your 405 00:29:50,940 --> 00:29:56,940 Uncle Howdy is fully healthy, which might be throwing off the stuff with Alexa and Nikki. 406 00:29:56,940 --> 00:30:01,500 If they do Lyra and Bayley, I guess I'm fine with that, but that just to me seems like 407 00:30:01,500 --> 00:30:08,040 kind of a let down versus Alexa and Nikki who are, you know, two time former women's 408 00:30:08,040 --> 00:30:10,540 tag team champions. 409 00:30:10,540 --> 00:30:14,540 But I guess you're right, Bayley needs to be on the card too, it's WrestleMania. 410 00:30:14,540 --> 00:30:17,780 So it would kind of give a rub to Lyra as well. 411 00:30:17,780 --> 00:30:23,340 But yeah, that just for Liv Morgan to be in a tag match with two people who never have 412 00:30:23,340 --> 00:30:31,620 tagged up before, to now be featured in the women's tag match does feel like a let down. 413 00:30:31,620 --> 00:30:35,460 >> Ray Mysterio versus Chad Gable is another match that I feel like is starting to bubble 414 00:30:35,460 --> 00:30:37,500 up for WrestleMania 41. 415 00:30:37,500 --> 00:30:40,740 El Grande, Americana, which is something everybody's been using this joke. 416 00:30:40,740 --> 00:30:43,780 I feel like I ordered at Starbucks over the weekend. 417 00:30:43,780 --> 00:30:49,220 Fills in for the under the weather Chad Gable makes his raw debut by masking Dragon Lee and 418 00:30:49,220 --> 00:30:50,900 causing them to tap out. 419 00:30:50,900 --> 00:30:54,940 The storyline feels like something the old creative regime would have written honestly, 420 00:30:54,940 --> 00:31:00,900 as well, especially when he comes out from the golf of America as his location. 421 00:31:00,900 --> 00:31:04,700 Not sure if I'm necessarily liking this Dr. Trey, but it certainly feels like Mysterio 422 00:31:04,700 --> 00:31:08,060 versus Chad Gable could be something on the WrestleMania card. 423 00:31:08,060 --> 00:31:10,300 >> Yeah, I mean, it does. 424 00:31:10,300 --> 00:31:15,260 I'm wondering if we'll actually get Gable or El Grande Americana because I think there 425 00:31:15,260 --> 00:31:22,460 is an underwhelming part of the population that you love this. 426 00:31:22,460 --> 00:31:24,820 For me, it's wrestling. 427 00:31:24,820 --> 00:31:28,700 I don't take anything they do seriously when it comes to that stuff, but there are some 428 00:31:28,700 --> 00:31:31,300 people who, you know, totally buy in. 429 00:31:31,300 --> 00:31:33,700 It's still real to us, damn it. 430 00:31:33,700 --> 00:31:35,700 So I think it does cater to that as well. 431 00:31:35,700 --> 00:31:40,340 I mean, I would love to see Chad Gable and Rey Mysterio WrestleMania. 432 00:31:40,340 --> 00:31:44,460 I don't want to see El Grande Americana because I want Chad Gable to get as many of his moments 433 00:31:44,460 --> 00:31:46,180 as possibly can. 434 00:31:46,180 --> 00:31:49,620 So that on paper makes a lot of sense. 435 00:31:49,620 --> 00:31:57,060 It also makes a lot of sense to do just American made versus whatever incarnation of the LWO, 436 00:31:57,060 --> 00:32:02,220 you want to come up with as well to get everybody featured on the show. 437 00:32:02,220 --> 00:32:06,140 >> And then finally here, Dr. Trey, I feel like we're going to see the World Tag Team 438 00:32:06,140 --> 00:32:07,220 championship involved. 439 00:32:07,220 --> 00:32:11,260 The War Raiders defending against the New Day is a possibility because they look like 440 00:32:11,260 --> 00:32:14,460 they're starting to build towards something with the World titles. 441 00:32:14,460 --> 00:32:18,860 Being involved in the WrestleMania 41, New Day wants to be in that match. 442 00:32:18,860 --> 00:32:23,860 I could see War Raiders New Day at least at the start here being in the World Tag Team title match. 443 00:32:23,860 --> 00:32:27,540 >> Yeah, it just, to me, it still kind of depends on where you're going with the Creed Brothers 444 00:32:27,540 --> 00:32:33,020 because I mean that Creed Brother War Raider, a little many few they had last month was pretty good. 445 00:32:33,020 --> 00:32:39,820 So I can see them going, if you do Gable and Mysterio one on one, hey, bring the New Day, 446 00:32:39,820 --> 00:32:44,460 Creed Brothers, which would be ironic because you'd have consequences Creed who is not a 447 00:32:44,460 --> 00:32:50,060 Creed Brother, but he is a brother, like it gets the War Raiders who aren't brothers, 448 00:32:50,060 --> 00:32:51,900 but act like Brom so confused right now. 449 00:32:51,900 --> 00:32:56,300 But yes, any incarnation of those three teams I'm fine with because they're all enjoyable 450 00:32:56,300 --> 00:32:57,300 to watch. 451 00:32:57,300 --> 00:32:58,780 >> So that's a total of 15 matches. 452 00:32:58,780 --> 00:33:02,020 Six confirmed, seven rumored right now, Dr. Trey. 453 00:33:02,020 --> 00:33:04,820 Excuse me, eight rumored right now. 454 00:33:04,820 --> 00:33:10,740 Thought on how the Resuminate card is laying out right now. 455 00:33:10,740 --> 00:33:13,780 >> Like I think it's a solid card, I don't know. 456 00:33:13,780 --> 00:33:20,340 Do I have more anticipation this year than last year, probably not. 457 00:33:20,340 --> 00:33:23,860 >> I think last year's a lot was banking on Cody finishing his story. 458 00:33:23,860 --> 00:33:28,980 I don't know if we're all entirely bought in on everything else yet. 459 00:33:28,980 --> 00:33:32,580 Plus you had, I mean you had Seth doing double duty as well. 460 00:33:32,580 --> 00:33:37,380 Cody doing double duty, Roman doing double duty. 461 00:33:37,380 --> 00:33:41,940 So I mean it's, it was a little, I guess it would be heavier on the star power with having 462 00:33:41,940 --> 00:33:45,860 those three guys work twice than this year. 463 00:33:45,860 --> 00:33:50,860 But yeah, at the same time, I think it's a very, very solid card from top to bottom. 464 00:33:50,860 --> 00:33:54,940 And I do think like we said, if there's 15 rumored matches and 15's what they produce, 465 00:33:54,940 --> 00:33:59,220 I think three will end up over on the Smackdown before WrestleMania as well. 466 00:33:59,220 --> 00:34:04,020 I think, I think 12 is where we're headed for the two nights of WrestleMania total. 467 00:34:04,020 --> 00:34:09,060 >> Apologies for the botch, six confirmed, nine rumored right now, I cannot count. 468 00:34:09,060 --> 00:34:13,780 So you're thinking six and six for night one and night two. 469 00:34:13,780 --> 00:34:15,980 >> Yeah, I mean that sounds about right to me. 470 00:34:15,980 --> 00:34:21,140 I mean you're looking at three hours each that gives each match about 20 to 25 minutes 471 00:34:21,140 --> 00:34:26,060 if they want to go that route with time in between and then you can move three matches over on the Smackdown 472 00:34:26,060 --> 00:34:29,660 to give Smackdown a good show heading into WrestleMania. 473 00:34:29,660 --> 00:34:30,860 >> Okay, I could see that too. 474 00:34:30,860 --> 00:34:33,100 I would be fine with six and six. 475 00:34:33,100 --> 00:34:37,220 I feel like the cap here is probably 14, seven and seven each night. 476 00:34:37,220 --> 00:34:42,380 So that, I tend to think, and I agree with you because Meltzer reported this, 477 00:34:42,380 --> 00:34:46,860 I believe today, or on Wednesday and said that he feel, 478 00:34:46,860 --> 00:34:50,740 they're feeling his right now some of the matches that were earmarked as potential for 479 00:34:50,740 --> 00:34:56,380 WrestleMania will be playing out on most likely the Smackdown before WrestleMania. 480 00:34:56,380 --> 00:34:58,340 Maybe the loss for WrestleMania. 481 00:34:58,340 --> 00:35:03,140 >> I'm gonna say, because you still got a lot of guys that we haven't mentioned yet that have nothing to do. 482 00:35:03,140 --> 00:35:09,620 You don't have shame as kind of, there's a lot of people that don't have anything booked yet, 483 00:35:09,620 --> 00:35:12,100 that you're going to fill out Smackdown with as well. 484 00:35:12,100 --> 00:35:18,620 So there's still some undercard stuff that could develop as well before we even get to the WrestleMania. 485 00:35:18,620 --> 00:35:24,100 Since we're talking about Raw and Smackdown here and there's obviously brands and separate rosters, 486 00:35:24,100 --> 00:35:29,100 that is completely out the window for most of the storylines I didn't wrestle many right now, Dr. Trey. 487 00:35:29,100 --> 00:35:30,300 I'm fine with it. 488 00:35:30,300 --> 00:35:37,660 I mean, you have the Smackdown champion in Cody Rhodes carrying forth his storyline on Monday Night Raw with John Cena. 489 00:35:37,660 --> 00:35:46,700 You have a punk and Rollins who are raw guys going at the triple threat match with Roman Reigns on Smackdown. 490 00:35:46,700 --> 00:35:50,900 Do you have any issues with the brand extension basically being out the window so 491 00:35:50,900 --> 00:35:53,900 that we get a good build for WrestleMania 41 right now? 492 00:35:53,900 --> 00:35:57,380 >> Because this is kind of the norm for WrestleMania season. 493 00:35:57,380 --> 00:36:00,820 I kind of feel like they do this almost every year, where it's like, yeah, 494 00:36:00,820 --> 00:36:06,580 from about, after Rumble from February through WrestleMania, 495 00:36:06,580 --> 00:36:08,700 brand extension doesn't matter. 496 00:36:08,700 --> 00:36:14,340 And then we get the hard reset coming up in post WrestleMania where we kind of goes back to our side. 497 00:36:14,340 --> 00:36:23,540 It is weird to me that USA has no problem with Cody being on Netflix every single week and not being on Smackdown. 498 00:36:23,540 --> 00:36:30,060 So it is kind of one of those things, it was like, wait, your top guys not going to be on our show that we paid you a bunch of money for. 499 00:36:30,060 --> 00:36:31,900 He's going to be on the other show. 500 00:36:31,900 --> 00:36:32,940 That would be a red flag. 501 00:36:32,940 --> 00:36:40,020 Other than that, right now, give me brand extension once we get back into May. 502 00:36:40,020 --> 00:36:43,860 And so that way we can see who gets hot heading into next year's Rumble. 503 00:36:43,860 --> 00:36:45,780 I'll say who's so this year. 504 00:36:45,780 --> 00:36:49,620 But right now it's about like making the biggest and best matches possible. 505 00:36:49,620 --> 00:36:53,860 So if you have to mix and match brands right now, I think I'm okay with it. 506 00:36:53,860 --> 00:36:57,980 >> Keep in with WrestleMania 41 weekend, Dr. Trey is now become official. 507 00:36:57,980 --> 00:37:03,580 We talked about it about two weeks ago as your Facebook Fred, Fred Ottman also known as Typhoon. 508 00:37:03,580 --> 00:37:05,940 And now it's the non his personal Facebook page. 509 00:37:05,940 --> 00:37:09,820 The natural disasters have been added to the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2025, 510 00:37:09,820 --> 00:37:12,140 earthquake and typhoon, John Tenta, Fred Ottman. 511 00:37:13,780 --> 00:37:18,020 Thoughts on this one, Dr. Trey, to me these are two guys that are very deserving. 512 00:37:18,020 --> 00:37:24,060 I mean they've had different characters throughout their career, whether it be earthquake or shark. 513 00:37:24,060 --> 00:37:30,700 Typhoon was the shock master, tugboat as well. 514 00:37:30,700 --> 00:37:32,860 Any thoughts here about these guys? 515 00:37:32,860 --> 00:37:37,660 Other thoughts here about them joining the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2025? 516 00:37:37,660 --> 00:37:43,740 >> Yeah, to me they're one of the great, I think they're often overlooked when we talk about great tech. 517 00:37:43,740 --> 00:37:48,620 Like back in their prime as the natural disasters, they were nearly untouchable. 518 00:37:48,620 --> 00:37:50,980 Like there was nobody else that could match up them physically. 519 00:37:50,980 --> 00:37:58,740 It took the demolitions and the roadwires and teams like that to kind of come in to upstage them. 520 00:37:58,740 --> 00:38:03,180 But during their prime, I mean when earthquake first attacked Hulk Hogan, you're like, 521 00:38:03,180 --> 00:38:04,940 dear God, this man's massive. 522 00:38:04,940 --> 00:38:09,940 And then when they brought in tugboat, you're like, this is a joke of a character, but 523 00:38:09,940 --> 00:38:11,540 then he became typhoon, you're like, this is great. 524 00:38:11,540 --> 00:38:16,140 And then even the stuff they did in WCW over the years, it was so good. 525 00:38:16,140 --> 00:38:21,540 Even people really tend to came back as Golga in the oddities and try to make that work. 526 00:38:21,540 --> 00:38:25,820 I mean, these guys, not just their work as the natural disasters, but 527 00:38:25,820 --> 00:38:33,100 just as their work in general over wrestling over their 2025 years that they were in the business active for. 528 00:38:33,100 --> 00:38:34,860 They totally deserve it. 529 00:38:34,860 --> 00:38:38,260 I don't know, did you play the WWE Arcade game as a kid? 530 00:38:38,260 --> 00:38:38,980 >> Oh yeah. 531 00:38:38,980 --> 00:38:39,500 >> Yeah. 532 00:38:39,500 --> 00:38:41,140 >> Like earthquake was just like, 533 00:38:41,140 --> 00:38:48,820 I love using, I always use, I always use Jake the snake and earthquake as my tag team because I'd hit the DDT and then follow it up with the earthquake splash. 534 00:38:48,820 --> 00:38:52,540 >> Well, when earthquake would do is finishing move, he would bounce around in the ring. 535 00:38:52,540 --> 00:38:56,100 And I was in that like shaking on the screen, so that was always pretty cool. 536 00:38:56,100 --> 00:38:57,740 The good old days, the good old days. 537 00:38:57,740 --> 00:39:04,180 So congratulations to the natural disasters being added officially to the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2025. 538 00:39:04,180 --> 00:39:06,140 Well, we're on the subject, Dr. Trey. 539 00:39:06,140 --> 00:39:13,660 Do you find it odd that WWE has not formally announced that like the Hall of Fame is going to be airing on peacock this year? 540 00:39:13,660 --> 00:39:19,900 I know the roast of WrestleMania that they're doing is not going to be airing anywhere that that's just for ticketed events. 541 00:39:19,900 --> 00:39:28,100 But to me, so far, like you're seeing nothing where there are now to the Hall of Fame class and then you could see it on peacock live that night. 542 00:39:28,100 --> 00:39:29,140 Do you find that odd? 543 00:39:31,620 --> 00:39:38,580 A little bit, but it's also, I think they're trying to figure out which the best platform to place it on and when the best time is. 544 00:39:38,580 --> 00:39:45,740 I think they've ran into years past where maybe the audience wasn't up to the level you want to be or maybe the venue wasn't right. 545 00:39:45,740 --> 00:39:51,860 So I think they're trying to get all their ducks in the room and they still got five weeks, four weeks before media. 546 00:39:51,860 --> 00:39:54,180 So there's still a little bit of time to figure it out. 547 00:39:54,180 --> 00:39:59,220 They know who their core base is, they know who watches the Hall of Fame stuff. 548 00:39:59,220 --> 00:40:07,860 The Hall of Fame stuff typically isn't for general fans to tune in and watch three hours of people talking about their mommas. 549 00:40:07,860 --> 00:40:10,140 It's more for the hardcore fans like us. 550 00:40:10,140 --> 00:40:18,020 So I think the only ones they put it out there, people like you and me and our audience are going to matriculate to it no matter where it's at. 551 00:40:18,020 --> 00:40:22,620 So I think they just want to make sure it's in the right setting, the right venue and the right audience for it. 552 00:40:22,620 --> 00:40:23,740 Well, I think they have the right setting. 553 00:40:23,740 --> 00:40:27,420 They're going to be doing at that hotel that they have and the right venue and all that stuff. 554 00:40:27,420 --> 00:40:35,660 It's supposed to air I think at eight o'clock clock Pacific time, which would be 11 o'clock on the East Coast for you time fans out there. 555 00:40:35,660 --> 00:40:45,620 I'm getting the vibe that it's not airing on peacock and maybe airing after the fact, which I guess I'm fine with since it's down in Las Vegas and be airing so late. 556 00:40:45,620 --> 00:40:53,900 I know Friday going into Saturday of WrestleMania weekend is rough for the fans that are watching live myself included on all that. 557 00:40:53,900 --> 00:40:57,860 It's also feeling like WWE is on its way off of peacock. 558 00:40:57,860 --> 00:41:06,180 I think their contract runs until early next year or maybe the end of this year because not only that doctor tray, this is some I've wanted to bring up. 559 00:41:06,180 --> 00:41:14,420 But basically here we are 11 years later since the launch of the WWE Network in 2014, February 2014. 560 00:41:14,420 --> 00:41:21,860 And basically the WWE network is now up for free on YouTube and WWE and WCW Vault sections. 561 00:41:21,860 --> 00:41:27,780 So you can nearly see anything you want nowadays on YouTube for free. 562 00:41:27,780 --> 00:41:31,340 I'm just getting the vibe that the peacock air is coming to an end. 563 00:41:31,340 --> 00:41:35,060 >> Yeah, and that's not a bad thing in a lot of ways. 564 00:41:35,060 --> 00:41:43,940 You and I have talked many, many times about the user friendliness of the peacock, which was not that great. 565 00:41:45,460 --> 00:41:59,220 So this might be one of those things where they were just like, hey, if we slowly take everything down, then we can use it as a negotiating platform and see who wants to stream all of our content to the highest bidder. 566 00:41:59,220 --> 00:42:13,740 I mean, the Hall of Fame may not have been in any of the contract negotiations with anybody and they could just come back and say, hey, who wants to air our Hall of Fame ceremony as kind of a one off or a yearly thing going forward afterwards. 567 00:42:13,740 --> 00:42:22,340 So I'll be glad when they're off peacock because honestly, the only reason I have a peacock account is for WWE. 568 00:42:22,340 --> 00:42:27,420 And once they're finally gone completely, I'll be removing my peacock subscription. 569 00:42:27,420 --> 00:42:29,940 >> You and me both, Dr. Trey, that is exactly right. 570 00:42:29,940 --> 00:42:36,020 And yeah, I unfortunately cannot wait for that day because, yes, playback for peacock, nothing great. 571 00:42:37,540 --> 00:42:48,580 Moving over to AEW, Dr. Trey. AEW Wednesday night dynamite will become the longest running prime time weekly pro wrestling program in Turner Sports history. 572 00:42:48,580 --> 00:42:54,540 On Wednesday, April the 16th, I wonder who they're taking a shot at there. 573 00:42:54,540 --> 00:43:00,500 But taking shots at Eric Bishoff aside, that's like shocking to me, Dr. Trey. 574 00:43:00,500 --> 00:43:08,140 I would have never in my wildest dreams thought just because of like timeline sake that AEW would turn out to be the longest, 575 00:43:08,140 --> 00:43:16,180 AEW dynamite with the longest running weekly prime time wrestling show in Turner Sports history when it had WCW Nitro on it. 576 00:43:16,180 --> 00:43:18,260 But there we go, that's what we have. 577 00:43:18,260 --> 00:43:23,100 >> Yeah, prime time wise, I wasn't as surprised. 578 00:43:23,100 --> 00:43:27,260 This one of those things where like as you get older time goes by a lot faster than when you're a kid. 579 00:43:28,900 --> 00:43:31,180 Because it is weird, oh my god, man, they've been around that long ago. 580 00:43:31,180 --> 00:43:37,260 Yeah, they would like, Sammy was born right before dynamite really kind of took off in Sammy's now six. 581 00:43:37,260 --> 00:43:38,620 So yeah, it makes sense in that watch. 582 00:43:38,620 --> 00:43:47,340 And Nitro for as much fun as it was early on and then we had the interview years, it kind of crashed pretty hard, you know, post that. 583 00:43:47,340 --> 00:43:48,780 So it wasn't that long. 584 00:43:48,780 --> 00:43:52,620 I like that they use this as it's the longest running prime time. 585 00:43:52,620 --> 00:44:01,500 But you know, Saturday night or WCW Saturday night aired at 605, which was an hour before prime time starts. 586 00:44:01,500 --> 00:44:05,740 So that's where you can kind of get away with using that loophole. 587 00:44:05,740 --> 00:44:08,820 Although there's pardon me though that really does. 588 00:44:08,820 --> 00:44:15,180 I wish this was airing at the same venue the last Nitro aired from and Shane McMahon showed up. 589 00:44:15,180 --> 00:44:17,620 >> That would only, that would make it perfect. 590 00:44:17,620 --> 00:44:21,940 >> Yeah, and it's just kind of funny that like the theme of it is a spring break one. 591 00:44:21,940 --> 00:44:24,940 Which is another probably subtle shot. 592 00:44:24,940 --> 00:44:29,220 >> Can we get the ring inside of a pool again? 593 00:44:29,220 --> 00:44:30,660 >> I know those days. 594 00:44:30,660 --> 00:44:31,620 >> Those were awesome. 595 00:44:31,620 --> 00:44:36,100 Was it Scott Hall got pushed into the pool or something? 596 00:44:36,100 --> 00:44:40,580 >> Scott Hall did and I think I'm pretty sure was Scott Hall. 597 00:44:40,580 --> 00:44:43,900 I thought there was one that girls did also. 598 00:44:43,900 --> 00:44:44,860 >> Oh, that would be the camera. 599 00:44:44,860 --> 00:44:46,020 >> Which one is back there? 600 00:44:46,020 --> 00:44:48,100 >> Was it major guns? 601 00:44:48,100 --> 00:44:48,620 >> I don't know. 602 00:44:48,620 --> 00:44:49,460 >> I don't know. 603 00:44:49,460 --> 00:44:54,580 I mean that's for the last episode of Nitro was. 604 00:44:54,580 --> 00:44:57,460 Was that a resort in Panama City, Florida? 605 00:44:57,460 --> 00:44:58,460 >> Yeah. 606 00:44:58,460 --> 00:44:59,860 >> Dr. Trey, who's right? 607 00:44:59,860 --> 00:45:02,980 Because this is a direct shot at Eric Bischoff. 608 00:45:02,980 --> 00:45:05,260 Who's right in your mind during these situations? 609 00:45:05,260 --> 00:45:10,940 Is it, do you agree typically with Eric Bischoff or is he too harsh when it comes to AW in their creative? 610 00:45:10,940 --> 00:45:16,580 >> I think Eric's a little jaded and biased against it. 611 00:45:16,580 --> 00:45:20,660 I think sometimes he goes a little bit too far with stuff. 612 00:45:20,660 --> 00:45:25,660 He's not as bad as Jim Cornett as a times, but he does get, he's a little jaded. 613 00:45:25,660 --> 00:45:29,060 I mean, I remember like he was on their programming. 614 00:45:29,060 --> 00:45:37,660 Bischoff was on, you know, early edition of Dynamite with Conrad Thompson, and now they do a show together. 615 00:45:37,660 --> 00:45:44,700 And it's like, but Eric took the job at WWE and he said nothing but glowing things about WWE since he left. 616 00:45:44,700 --> 00:45:51,020 Even though he was fired from there, but he continuously takes shots at AEW. 617 00:45:51,020 --> 00:45:57,180 I do think AEW does try to jab him back at times, like this week's edition of Dynamite. 618 00:45:57,180 --> 00:46:01,940 But I do think Eric's a little jaded towards them. 619 00:46:01,940 --> 00:46:05,420 I don't think AEW is not as bad as Bischoff lays out. 620 00:46:05,420 --> 00:46:08,460 It's not as good as they lay out, but it's somewhere in the middle. 621 00:46:08,460 --> 00:46:09,860 And that's where I kind of landed. 622 00:46:09,860 --> 00:46:13,300 There's the, he said she said in the truth is usually in the middle. 623 00:46:13,300 --> 00:46:14,580 That's kind of where I lay where I just, 624 00:46:14,580 --> 00:46:18,660 I just think Eric's a little jaded towards AEW right now. 625 00:46:18,660 --> 00:46:21,820 >> I thought you were going to get into a limp-piscuit song as you said that there. 626 00:46:21,820 --> 00:46:22,540 He said she said it. 627 00:46:22,540 --> 00:46:24,980 >> I mean, I could, it's all about that. 628 00:46:24,980 --> 00:46:26,620 So I could go down that route. 629 00:46:26,620 --> 00:46:30,500 I mean, I did see a picture of Fred Durs and it is WrestleMania season. 630 00:46:30,500 --> 00:46:35,300 And he could come back out and do that crazy dance that was featured in video games for like eight years. 631 00:46:35,300 --> 00:46:39,860 >> Yes, yes, the WWE video game you play as Fred Durs. 632 00:46:39,860 --> 00:46:43,100 >> I agree with Eric Bischoff at times. 633 00:46:43,100 --> 00:46:49,100 I do think he's very harsh, but I also think Tony Khan can be like completely blind where he's like. 634 00:46:49,100 --> 00:46:51,220 >> He could be better than WCW. 635 00:46:51,220 --> 00:46:57,340 And yeah, okay, you've been on there episodically longer than WCW was, but I mean WCW. 636 00:46:57,340 --> 00:47:03,300 I mean that run from 96 to 2000 was phenomenal. 637 00:47:03,300 --> 00:47:09,840 I mean that was, if they did not have Turner running the company WCW would still be here today. 638 00:47:09,840 --> 00:47:10,840 In my mind. 639 00:47:10,840 --> 00:47:14,640 So I think they're both in the wrong if that's an easy way to put it. 640 00:47:14,640 --> 00:47:16,160 Dr. Trey. 641 00:47:16,160 --> 00:47:21,600 >> I mean, I look at it like when you factor, I mean how many people still talk about the mothership? 642 00:47:21,600 --> 00:47:25,940 You know, it's the mothership, 6.05, like people like us, that's ingrained into our memory. 643 00:47:25,940 --> 00:47:31,080 So, you know, NWA, WCW, it was not just the prime time stuff. 644 00:47:31,080 --> 00:47:37,860 It was must-fear watching for any wrestling fan as a kid or as a young adult growing up that you had to jump on. 645 00:47:37,860 --> 00:47:39,860 TBS on Saturdays of Ketchay. 646 00:47:39,860 --> 00:47:44,140 It just when Bischoff moved it to money nicely directly compete with Roy, it was great. 647 00:47:44,140 --> 00:47:45,140 I agree with you. 648 00:47:45,140 --> 00:47:50,340 If AOL time-owner had not bought out WCW from the Turner, it would have been or it still would 649 00:47:50,340 --> 00:47:51,340 have been around today. 650 00:47:51,340 --> 00:47:56,140 There was enough revenue coming in that it wasn't a big enough loss. 651 00:47:56,140 --> 00:48:00,580 And some of those people in those contracts, those albatross contracts that were weighing 652 00:48:00,580 --> 00:48:04,060 the company out were going to drop off before long anyway. 653 00:48:04,060 --> 00:48:05,580 That's why Vince just weighed them out. 654 00:48:05,580 --> 00:48:11,060 You remember, all those guys that had those great big AOL time-owner contracts that they're 655 00:48:11,060 --> 00:48:13,460 all waiting on to dry up? 656 00:48:13,460 --> 00:48:17,180 It was a year, maybe a year and a half, and they were all up. 657 00:48:17,180 --> 00:48:22,060 So it wouldn't have taken that long to actually stick it out to then get rid of those contracts 658 00:48:22,060 --> 00:48:23,060 and renegotiate them. 659 00:48:23,060 --> 00:48:28,940 So, yeah, I mean, it's a little bit of, like you said, you got one guy saying, "We're going 660 00:48:28,940 --> 00:48:29,940 to be better than this guy." 661 00:48:29,940 --> 00:48:32,900 And this guy, another guy saying, "Well, we were already pretty great." 662 00:48:32,900 --> 00:48:37,420 And the truth is, both companies laying kind of in the middle, like nobody outside of that, 663 00:48:37,420 --> 00:48:45,420 you know, 83, that year and a half run, nobody's ever really put WWE down for more than that 664 00:48:45,420 --> 00:48:46,420 time. 665 00:48:46,420 --> 00:48:53,500 So, I mean, Dynamite got close with beating NXT, but that's the extent of that run. 666 00:48:53,500 --> 00:48:57,980 Bishop had a year and a half long run, and then they folded two years later. 667 00:48:57,980 --> 00:49:00,660 So nobody's really right. 668 00:49:00,660 --> 00:49:01,660 Nobody's really wrong. 669 00:49:01,660 --> 00:49:07,540 This thing is kind of, it's too grumpy old men pulling out their penises and saying which 670 00:49:07,540 --> 00:49:08,540 is bigger. 671 00:49:08,540 --> 00:49:11,340 Yes, that's definitely what it is. 672 00:49:11,340 --> 00:49:15,980 I mean, WWE pushed WWE so much to the brink there that they were taking the water coolers 673 00:49:15,980 --> 00:49:18,980 out of the offices and stamp for to save money. 674 00:49:18,980 --> 00:49:20,980 So, yeah, there you go. 675 00:49:20,980 --> 00:49:24,860 AW Wednesday night Dynamite will become the longest running primetime weekly pro wrestling program 676 00:49:24,860 --> 00:49:27,420 in Turner Sports history on April the 16th. 677 00:49:27,420 --> 00:49:34,540 I find that shocking just because it feels like WCW was around a lot longer than, or WCW 678 00:49:34,540 --> 00:49:39,620 Nitro was around a lot longer than it actually was, which is mind blowing when you compare Nitro 679 00:49:39,620 --> 00:49:42,580 and Dynamite here at some point. 680 00:49:42,580 --> 00:49:47,420 Last thing I wanted to bring up, Dr. Trey, and we did not talk about it on last week's show, 681 00:49:47,420 --> 00:49:52,700 last Thursday, wrestling legend, retired. 682 00:49:52,700 --> 00:49:59,180 Homicide, who is a former R.A.T.R.O. champion, TNA Tag Team Champion, Champion Retired. 683 00:49:59,180 --> 00:50:02,780 Your thoughts on the career of Homicide? 684 00:50:02,780 --> 00:50:10,220 Arguably one of the most underrated wrestlers of the last 15, 20 years influenced a lot 685 00:50:10,220 --> 00:50:11,220 of the pro wrestlers. 686 00:50:11,220 --> 00:50:14,780 He was like one of those, he was like one of the cool guys, like the underground guys. 687 00:50:14,780 --> 00:50:19,100 Like he was Sabu before ECW, KBK Mainstream. 688 00:50:19,100 --> 00:50:24,380 He was on that level where people would literally, I don't say the tape training kind of went 689 00:50:24,380 --> 00:50:28,300 away the last 15, 20 years, but man, have you seen this guy homicide? 690 00:50:28,300 --> 00:50:35,700 I mean, the 1A7, the first time he ever dropped that on somebody, people lost their minds, 691 00:50:35,700 --> 00:50:41,980 just a tremendous influence across multiple lines of wrestling, especially upon the Hispanic 692 00:50:41,980 --> 00:50:43,980 population. 693 00:50:43,980 --> 00:50:48,700 I'm glad to see him kind of going out, and maybe not on his own terms health wise, but 694 00:50:48,700 --> 00:50:52,260 at least able to go out on his own. 695 00:50:52,260 --> 00:50:55,780 We've seen a lot of people recently pass, we've had a couple people on the independent 696 00:50:55,780 --> 00:50:59,020 scene pass away in the ring in the last few weeks. 697 00:50:59,020 --> 00:51:05,540 So getting his health taken care of and stepping away on his own accord is fantastic, but he's 698 00:51:05,540 --> 00:51:07,100 had a hell of a run. 699 00:51:07,100 --> 00:51:12,860 Just wish he could have gotten featured more promptly, some of the bigger capacities, but 700 00:51:12,860 --> 00:51:16,420 just a tremendous influence on the wrestling culture as a whole. 701 00:51:16,420 --> 00:51:20,860 The good old days of independent professional wrestling was when homicide was at his height, 702 00:51:20,860 --> 00:51:26,100 the good old days of ring of honor for our weight world champion, as I pointed out before. 703 00:51:26,100 --> 00:51:29,020 Final battle 2006 was a very memorable moment. 704 00:51:29,020 --> 00:51:33,140 I remember him winning the title over Brian Danielson in Manhattan Center. 705 00:51:33,140 --> 00:51:38,100 Everybody at the time that song We Fly High was very popular where everybody would do 706 00:51:38,100 --> 00:51:41,500 ballin like MVP does and shoot the shot. 707 00:51:41,500 --> 00:51:44,780 And I just remember him winning the championship, and they were playing that song because I think 708 00:51:44,780 --> 00:51:50,060 he was coming out to that song as his main entrance music at that point and the crowd was just 709 00:51:50,060 --> 00:51:51,760 loving it. 710 00:51:51,760 --> 00:51:54,860 That was a great moment him winning the R.O.H. World title. 711 00:51:54,860 --> 00:51:58,980 Had to see him become into prominence on television in the United States, on TNA, tagging 712 00:51:58,980 --> 00:52:03,140 with Hernandez, teaming with Conan with LAX. 713 00:52:03,140 --> 00:52:08,100 The best version of LAX was that version of the Latin American exchange. 714 00:52:08,100 --> 00:52:12,100 Yeah, you had to seem go out like this because of injury. 715 00:52:12,100 --> 00:52:15,860 I think he said he has a cyst on his brain, but his health is most important. 716 00:52:15,860 --> 00:52:20,340 So just a one of a kind wrestler, it is an end of an error. 717 00:52:20,340 --> 00:52:24,420 And I loved seeing all the tributes that were paid out there from people in AW and WWE, 718 00:52:24,420 --> 00:52:28,700 cross professional wrestling for homicide because he was definitely one of the best, one 719 00:52:28,700 --> 00:52:32,180 of the greats and influenced a ton of people that are in professional wrestling today. 720 00:52:32,180 --> 00:52:34,180 So salute to homicide, 1-8-7. 721 00:52:34,180 --> 00:52:43,060 I was there when he returned to R.O.H. in September 2009, to the last match for Tyler Blacken R.O.H., 722 00:52:43,060 --> 00:52:44,300 now known as Seth Rollins. 723 00:52:44,300 --> 00:52:46,660 He dropped the title to Roderick Strong. 724 00:52:46,660 --> 00:52:51,220 And at the celebration there, homicide made his surprise return to R.O.H. 725 00:52:51,220 --> 00:52:56,180 I was in the room for the Manhattan Center and the people went absolutely nuts, such a 726 00:52:56,180 --> 00:52:59,260 beloved star, all the best to homicide. 727 00:52:59,260 --> 00:53:03,100 As whatever he does next, I'm sure he will continue to be very, very successful. 728 00:53:03,100 --> 00:53:06,580 And a legit badass, folks. 729 00:53:06,580 --> 00:53:13,820 I used to hang out with a couple folks at R.O.H.
