- 1:00Speaker 4: All right, back here obviously talking Brian Kelly getting.
- 1:05Speaker 5: Fired at LSU.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Now searching for your next football coach in the next
- 1:09Speaker 4: couple of weeks, and probably in the next segment is
- 1:13Speaker 4: when we're going to start to maybe speculate and throw
- 1:16Speaker 4: out some names and who could.
- 1:18Speaker 5: Be the next head coach of the Tigers.
- 1:20Speaker 4: Will take another look here what the Brian Kelly tenure
- 1:24Speaker 4: look like. He comes in in twenty twenty two, ten
- 1:27Speaker 4: and four overall six and two in league play, of course,
- 1:30Speaker 4: gets to the SEC championship game, loses to Georgia the
- 1:33Speaker 4: next year twenty twenty three ten and three, six and
- 1:36Speaker 4: two in league play, twenty twenty four nine and four
- 1:40Speaker 4: overall five and three in league play, and this year
- 1:43Speaker 4: five and three, two and three in the SEC. A
- 1:47Speaker 4: total win loss record at LSU thirty four and fourteen
- 1:52Speaker 4: in conference play nineteen and ten. So like those numbers
- 1:56Speaker 4: in themselves, not up to the standard of what you
- 1:59Speaker 4: want to get done at LSU, but you know, certainly
- 2:02Speaker 4: not The worst record that you've seen where it goes
- 2:05Speaker 4: bad is versus top twenty five teams, five and eleven.
- 2:12Speaker 4: That's what cannot happen, is you going five and eleven
- 2:16Speaker 4: against the best teams that you play. You started twenty
- 2:20Speaker 4: twenty two not ranked and you got up to number
- 2:22Speaker 4: sixteen in the final poll.
- 2:24Speaker 5: Good job after that. You never replicated that.
- 2:27Speaker 4: In twenty twenty three you were number five preseason, You
- 2:30Speaker 4: finished number twelve in twenty twenty four preseason thirteen.
- 2:34Speaker 5: You finished not ranked this year number nine in.
- 2:37Speaker 4: The preseason, and a lot of people thought that was
- 2:40Speaker 4: maybe a little too low because of what you had
- 2:42Speaker 4: coming back, and you're not ranked right now and it's
- 2:44Speaker 4: going to take a lot for you to fight your
- 2:46Speaker 4: way back into the top twenty five. So you look
- 2:50Speaker 4: at like the overall record, it can be misleading because
- 2:55Speaker 4: even like the conference record, it's nineteen and ten.
- 2:57Speaker 5: It's not awful, but it's awful for LSU standards.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Right.
- 3:01Speaker 5: You want to be in the conversation.
- 3:03Speaker 4: You want to have a seat at the table, and
- 3:05Speaker 4: the seat is at the SEC championship game.
- 3:08Speaker 5: They're in Atlanta.
- 3:09Speaker 4: You get there your first year, and you had opportunities,
- 3:12Speaker 4: certainly last year, and you don't get back to play
- 3:16Speaker 4: for an SEC championship game. And again five and eleven
- 3:20Speaker 4: versus top twenty five teams.
- 3:25Speaker 2: It's not good, Jake, not good at all. Now look
- 3:28Speaker 2: at that overall record too. We talked about it, how
- 3:31Speaker 2: you know, certainly not nearly up to the standard that
- 3:34Speaker 2: has been set here at LSU. And it just seemed
- 3:38Speaker 2: like every year was a right. I don't know, they
- 3:43Speaker 2: kept getting a pass for excuses, right, whether it's talent
- 3:45Speaker 2: or whether it's whatever it is. But I look at
- 3:49Speaker 2: twenty twenty three season, seriously, if Jaydon Daniels didn't put
- 3:52Speaker 2: on a superman cape and play the quarterback position for
- 3:55Speaker 2: the LSG Tigers and be able to score at any
- 3:59Speaker 2: given time. I literally played probably one of the best
- 4:02Speaker 2: seasons at quarterback in college football history. What is that record?
- 4:07Speaker 2: They're a six and six football team.
- 4:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I'd agree with that.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 4:10Speaker 5: Yeah, there's games that Jaydon so bad with my leak
- 4:14Speaker 5: and with BTJ for sure.
- 4:16Speaker 4: But to your point, how many games did he just say, Hey,
- 4:20Speaker 4: I'm gonna go eighty five real quick on the ground,
- 4:22Speaker 4: Hey I'm gonna throw for three thirty.
- 4:24Speaker 2: You don't get that very often, like an offense that
- 4:26Speaker 2: it's like you feel come like once they step on
- 4:27Speaker 2: the field, no matter if they get it on their
- 4:29Speaker 2: own half yard line or they get on the fifth whatever,
- 4:31Speaker 2: it is like you were like, yeah, they're gonna score.
- 4:32Speaker 2: They're going to at least get three out of this thing.
- 4:34Speaker 2: So they don't get three a lot, theyll probably score
- 4:36Speaker 2: touch that most time. I'm just saying, you look at
- 4:39Speaker 2: the overall record and like, Okay, it's not up to
- 4:41Speaker 2: the standard, but it's still not bad. It could have
- 4:44Speaker 2: been what three games and six games in the opposite
- 4:49Speaker 2: direction too. Yeah, that Jaydon Daniels literally doesn't have a
- 4:52Speaker 2: supermank even No, you can't take that away, got it.
- 4:54Speaker 2: He got him to come there, great, but that was
- 4:58Speaker 2: a quite an anomaly of a player and an offense
- 5:03Speaker 2: in college football. So I think it just kind of
- 5:05Speaker 2: adds to what everybody's thinking that it's not a good
- 5:10Speaker 2: enough record and it probably should have been a little
- 5:11Speaker 2: bit worse.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Uh, you know, people already speculating in the chat like
- 5:15Speaker 4: maybe some names that they want there before we get
- 5:18Speaker 4: to names then, and it's going to be in the
- 5:20Speaker 4: next segment. I think you do have to take a
- 5:23Speaker 4: look at some of your established head coaches and how
- 5:26Speaker 4: it's gone for them in this new day and age
- 5:28Speaker 4: that we're in in college football, in college athletics. You
- 5:32Speaker 4: look at Dabo Sweeney, you look at coach Saban, who
- 5:36Speaker 4: he wanted, he didn't want any part of that wasn't
- 5:39Speaker 4: the game that he grew up loving and won multiple championships.
- 5:43Speaker 4: He still Saban still, No, he still he talks about
- 5:46Speaker 4: it often. Could he still go out there and you know,
- 5:49Speaker 4: be successful, Yeah, probably so, but I don't even know
- 5:52Speaker 4: to his standard if he could, uh, you know, Brian
- 5:55Speaker 4: Kelly and we could go Mike Gundy, we could go
- 5:57Speaker 4: on and on and on and get a list. Right, Like,
- 6:01Speaker 4: it's different. It is different now, and so when you
- 6:05Speaker 4: start to look at it, this can't be a look
- 6:11Speaker 4: at this resume higher now you got to have things
- 6:13Speaker 4: on your resume. But look, when you brought Brian Kelly in, like, yeah,
- 6:18Speaker 4: there was excitement because of all the wins that he
- 6:20Speaker 4: had had and what he had done at Notre Dame,
- 6:23Speaker 4: and he had played for a national championship. And at
- 6:26Speaker 4: the time, I think there was only three current coaches
- 6:27Speaker 4: that had national championships. So it wasn't like the list
- 6:30Speaker 4: was long as far as the people that you could
- 6:33Speaker 4: get here. And you know, Jimbo Fisher was one of them,
- 6:35Speaker 4: and Scott talked with Jimbo, and Jimbo decided to stay
- 6:39Speaker 4: at A and M. So you even talked to one
- 6:40Speaker 4: of those guys, right, and so like that was a
- 6:43Speaker 4: good resume and it can get you excited. And that
- 6:45Speaker 4: was really when college football was starting to change. Like now,
- 6:50Speaker 4: like you take a look at, man, this guy for
- 6:52Speaker 4: the last fifteen years has done this. I just don't
- 6:54Speaker 4: think it means as much because we're in a different time,
- 6:57Speaker 4: we're in a different landscape. I'm not saying like you
- 6:59Speaker 4: got to have something on your resume that is the
- 7:02Speaker 4: last four years relevant, like the last four years impressive.
- 7:09Speaker 2: And we have no idea what direction LSU is going
- 7:14Speaker 2: to go. I think we don't even know right now
- 7:16Speaker 2: who's going to be the final say in that decision
- 7:20Speaker 2: making process. Will it be Woodward? I don't know. There's
- 7:23Speaker 2: all sorts of gossip. There's all sorts of rumors happening
- 7:26Speaker 2: right now, and at this point in time, that's what
- 7:28Speaker 2: it is. I mean, it's speculation. Was Woodward involved in
- 7:32Speaker 2: the Brian Kelly deal? Was that they did the board
- 7:35Speaker 2: and the governor and all these different things happen. What
- 7:38Speaker 2: has actually taken place, That kind of truth will reveal itself.
- 7:42Speaker 2: But who is going to be in charge of making
- 7:46Speaker 2: this hire is the big question? And what will they
- 7:49Speaker 2: be looking for? We can sit here and say what
- 7:52Speaker 2: we hope, We hope it's you know this or that,
- 7:58Speaker 2: But I can tell you the one thing you cannot
- 8:00Speaker 2: do is handcuff yourself to another similar type contract. Right
- 8:09Speaker 2: that is something that can handicap a entire organization. I mean,
- 8:15Speaker 2: Jimmy Sexton right now has got to be licking his chops.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I mean, my god, the openings, the vacancies. He owns
- 8:22Speaker 2: half of them contracts in college. I personally like, we
- 8:25Speaker 2: don't go like the established, long term, established at one play,
- 8:29Speaker 2: like the James Franklin type route. That's that's something you
- 8:32Speaker 2: cannot do. I think it's gonna be a younger go
- 8:35Speaker 2: please say no, please, ain't not I know, And then
- 8:38Speaker 2: of course I know Lane Kiffin is everybody's Lankiff and
- 8:41Speaker 2: lang Kiff and link Kiffin. By do we really like
- 8:43Speaker 2: to get to get Lane kiffen? You know, you have
- 8:46Speaker 2: to do a similar type contract that you just did.
- 8:49Speaker 2: And you're going to be in a bidding war with
- 8:51Speaker 2: Ole miss You're going to be in a bidding war
- 8:53Speaker 2: with Florida. So I gotta be careful what you wish
- 8:56Speaker 2: for there. Not saying it can't work out, but there's
- 9:05Speaker 2: a lot of options out there, and this is one
- 9:08Speaker 2: where whoever's making the decision just can't take the flashy
- 9:11Speaker 2: first person. We've done that. We did that already, like
- 9:14Speaker 2: the guy that's going to be in the whole fame
- 9:16Speaker 2: and m established and okay, cool, Well, let's figure out
- 9:19Speaker 2: who's a really really good football coach, A guy that
- 9:23Speaker 2: knows Ball, a guy that is involved in every aspect,
- 9:27Speaker 2: the guy that his life is football.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Like Jim Harball type. I'm not saying Jim Harball. Look,
- 9:33Speaker 4: he's quirky, I know, but that type. Like when Jim
- 9:36Speaker 4: Harball speaks, it's only in football terms.
- 9:39Speaker 5: It is all he knows.
- 9:40Speaker 2: And I want a guy that comes in and is
- 9:42Speaker 2: going to command a room with respect, not with talk,
- 9:47Speaker 2: you know what I mean. The guy that comes in
- 9:49Speaker 2: and it's like, you don't want to mess with this guy.
- 9:51Speaker 2: You don't want to cross this guy because he's going
- 9:53Speaker 2: to establish boundaries. I want a guy that comes in
- 9:54Speaker 2: and establishes the boundaries with the administration on the front end.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Look into that office and you have an interview and
- 10:02Speaker 2: they're like, this is our guy. I don't know who
- 10:04Speaker 2: that is. That guy can come from a small school.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I don't care. Yeah, I don't care if it's not
- 10:09Speaker 2: the flashy guy. Oh No, I want a guy that
- 10:11Speaker 2: loves me ball there can commit to this state and
- 10:14Speaker 2: commit to those three letters on the Jersey attack, I
- 10:17Speaker 2: don't have the answer.
- 10:18Speaker 5: Every day with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind. It's Jim Harba.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Love that. Yeah, So we got a we got like
- 10:25Speaker 2: a gossip list. Uh.
- 10:27Speaker 5: Yeah, hots.
- 10:29Speaker 4: In the next segment, we'll spend some time on that.
- 10:32Speaker 4: There's some chat about like what the yel Su job
- 10:34Speaker 4: is inside our bout you four job.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Uh?
- 10:38Speaker 4: And the names now are like email addresses, so I
- 10:41Speaker 4: don't I don't know the name e MSA.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Is that in the midstream ads?
- 10:46Speaker 4: Uh? Okay, I put it together one two, three four.
- 10:50Speaker 4: I'll disagree with you that the Tennessee job is on
- 10:53Speaker 4: the same level as the LSU job. And look, you're
- 10:55Speaker 4: entitled to that opinion. Tennessee is a good job, So
- 10:57Speaker 4: I'm not disagreeing there. Here's why LSU is a top
- 11:02Speaker 4: three job. As we just were shown last night. There's
- 11:08Speaker 4: a deep desire to be great. Fifty three million dollar buyout,
- 11:12Speaker 4: We'll find a way.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Right.
- 11:15Speaker 5: You look at Tiger Stadium, it's.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Got whatever bell and whistle you have to add to
- 11:21Speaker 4: your stadium, it's got it.
- 11:23Speaker 5: When you look.
- 11:24Speaker 4: At what they spent on the roster this year, when
- 11:28Speaker 4: you look at the National Championship access, when you look
- 11:33Speaker 4: at outside of Alabama, it's Lshue and Ohio State that
- 11:37Speaker 4: are tied for the second most nat is last twenty
- 11:39Speaker 4: five years. Right, So if you're in a group with Alabama,
- 11:42Speaker 4: Ohio State. You're doing something right in college football. You
- 11:47Speaker 4: are without question the big dog in the state of Louisiana.
- 11:51Speaker 4: And look, there's some good football. Two's a great football team.
- 11:54Speaker 4: I got a great coach and they got they got
- 11:56Speaker 4: Jimmy's and Joe's for sure. So not going shade, but
- 11:59Speaker 4: that part is what it is. In per capita, Louisiana
- 12:03Speaker 4: has the most players in the National Football League. You've
- 12:07Speaker 4: got a talent pull to choose from, unlike anybody else,
- 12:11Speaker 4: right because Tennessee, Tennessee does not have that, Like the
- 12:15Speaker 4: state of Tennessee.
- 12:17Speaker 5: Doesn't have that. Now the state of Georgia it does.
- 12:20Speaker 4: But you've got teams that are certainly close enough, even
- 12:22Speaker 4: out of state teams that are going to pull themselves
- 12:25Speaker 4: into your state. And hey, Georgia, TeX's number eight team
- 12:28Speaker 4: in the country right now. So you have competition. Florida,
- 12:32Speaker 4: great high school football. You've got competition, I would say
- 12:35Speaker 4: Ohio and Ohio State is probably the only comp that
- 12:37Speaker 4: I would have in Ohio State.
- 12:39Speaker 5: Kind of a standard of college football.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Right.
- 12:42Speaker 4: So, like all those things paired together, the talent that
- 12:45Speaker 4: you have, the resources, you have, the proof.
- 12:47Speaker 5: And winning championships all of that.
- 12:50Speaker 4: Like, no matter where you go in this state, tell
- 12:53Speaker 4: a shoe fan Shreveport, Lafayette, Homa, New Orleans.
- 12:57Speaker 5: Baton, Rouge, Monroe, doesn't matter. There's LSU everywhere.
- 13:00Speaker 4: So with what the LSU job is, knowing that you're
- 13:04Speaker 4: going to have Tiger Stadium, and you're going to have
- 13:06Speaker 4: Louisiana to choose from, and you're going to have everything
- 13:09Speaker 4: that you want, need, desire. It's a top three job
- 13:13Speaker 4: in my opinion, top five no matter who you ask
- 13:15Speaker 4: in the country. So your job's not like other jobs,
- 13:19Speaker 4: and you should treat it as such. You should have
- 13:22Speaker 4: the confidence to go in and speak to whoever you
- 13:25Speaker 4: want to speak to, not in a cocky way, but
- 13:28Speaker 4: in a confident way, and knowing you should not settle
- 13:31Speaker 4: for anything, knowing that you should be able to compete
- 13:34Speaker 4: for whatever coach you want and the right coach. And
- 13:39Speaker 4: that's on the LSU brass to be able to decide.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Who that is. And there's a lot of rumors who
- 13:45Speaker 5: that's going to be. We don't know. You don't have
- 13:46Speaker 5: a school president right now. That's troublesome.
- 13:49Speaker 4: One's coming probably in the next couple of weeks.
- 13:53Speaker 2: That's the word say. We hadn't had a president for.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Since May, since May when when to announced he was
- 14:00Speaker 4: going to Rutgers. So you got an opportunity to do
- 14:08Speaker 4: whatever you want to do because you are LSU.
- 14:11Speaker 5: Now you got to go out there and do it.
- 14:12Speaker 2: You got to execute, and you got to get it right.
- 14:17Speaker 2: You got to get it right because like I mean,
- 14:19Speaker 2: there's there is already probably going to be a pretty
- 14:22Speaker 2: big exodus of talent and players this year. I would
- 14:27Speaker 2: think any that's any that's any program, that's any time
- 14:30Speaker 2: you get a coaching shift, a coaching change, because there's
- 14:33Speaker 2: going to be a window now that guys can transfer
- 14:36Speaker 2: with no repercussions or anything like that. But if you
- 14:41Speaker 2: get it right, you have an opportunity to mitigate that.
- 14:45Speaker 2: For one. But we got to see, we got to
- 14:50Speaker 2: see who's making that decision. Like you said, there's no
- 14:53Speaker 2: president at LSU right now. That's why they're at the board.
- 14:55Speaker 2: And the reports at least this is you know, not
- 14:59Speaker 2: not confirmed, and the reports at least that the governor,
- 15:03Speaker 2: Landry or supervisors they all met trying to figure out
- 15:07Speaker 2: everyone's trying to get the game plan. But there's gonna
- 15:12Speaker 2: be a lot of names. There's gonna be a lot
- 15:14Speaker 2: of rumors, there's gonna be a lot of speculation. This
- 15:15Speaker 2: thing isn't going to happen fast. Now, all we can
- 15:18Speaker 2: do is support Frank Wilson, who's the interim head coach
- 15:23Speaker 2: right now, and cheer for the boys wearing LSU on
- 15:29Speaker 2: the helmet the rest of the season, and then hopefully internally,
- 15:32Speaker 2: more stuff will come out every single day, more and
- 15:35Speaker 2: more information every single week. Hopefully we get that right,
- 15:38Speaker 2: hopefully the process. But to Jake's point, LSU is one
- 15:41Speaker 2: of the top three jobs in the country when it
- 15:44Speaker 2: comes to college football, because of the fan base, because
- 15:47Speaker 2: of the support, because of the talent pool, because of
- 15:50Speaker 2: being the only big school in the state that.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Has a deep desire to be great in football, deep desire,
- 15:57Speaker 4: a history, a recent history, a success, three national championship
- 16:05Speaker 4: since two thousand, another appearance, multiple Heisman.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Winners like that says the you know, multiple always having
- 16:14Speaker 2: one of the at least the top one, two or
- 16:15Speaker 2: three NFL guys, guys in the NFL from LSU, that's
- 16:20Speaker 2: all there. That's not at other places. That's not Tennessee.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Those two are not the same. Now Tennessee is a
- 16:25Speaker 2: great job, but LSU is an elite job. You should
- 16:29Speaker 2: be have that confidence to go and say we can't
- 16:33Speaker 2: we if we want it, we can go pull anybody.
- 16:35Speaker 2: But I just would warn them not always. Don't always
- 16:39Speaker 2: go for the flashy guy. Yeah, do your recruiting. You
- 16:44Speaker 2: gotta understand that you got to look into whoever, look
- 16:47Speaker 2: inside of them, look in their heart, see what they
- 16:48Speaker 2: want to like how they've run a program and has
- 16:51Speaker 2: to be somebody that comes in and resets the standard,
- 16:55Speaker 2: resets that grit that we talk about. You said it
- 16:59Speaker 2: on Twitter great last night. It's got to be changed.
- 17:03Speaker 2: The mentality we too many times in the last couple
- 17:07Speaker 2: of years since Kelly has been here, we have been
- 17:10Speaker 2: the nail and not the hammer. That has to change.
- 17:13Speaker 2: That's the embarrassing part. That's the part that pisss off
- 17:16Speaker 2: former players, pisses off fans that have seen it. Even
- 17:20Speaker 2: if we lost the game, that team was still beat up. Yes,
- 17:25Speaker 2: that team knew they played LSU. That team did not
- 17:27Speaker 2: have their fans overtake a student section. You know, while
- 17:32Speaker 2: you know why people are leaving. Yeah, okay, you got it. Traffic,
- 17:34Speaker 2: weather wasn't great, you know, the game day experiit like whatever,
- 17:37Speaker 2: TV is great, awesome, but at some point the games
- 17:44Speaker 2: became not fun to watch. It wasn't as good. It
- 17:51Speaker 2: wasn't as good as people expected it to be. Yeah, sure,
- 17:55Speaker 2: you're always gonna have people problem with people leaving early,
- 17:57Speaker 2: but people leaven that early. I can't blame him. Hell
- 18:03Speaker 2: I was I did it okay? Like the problem. I
- 18:06Speaker 2: sat there in South Carolina and I watched the first
- 18:08Speaker 2: half and I'm like, man, this isn't even fun to
- 18:11Speaker 2: watch like this, This is not like, this isn't us,
- 18:15Speaker 2: This isn't.
- 18:15Speaker 5: Who like I knows LSU.
- 18:19Speaker 2: So whoever we bring in has to reset that standard,
- 18:22Speaker 2: has to reset that mentality and let people know that
- 18:26Speaker 2: if we are if LSU is not the hammer, there's
- 18:30Speaker 2: an issue.
- 18:31Speaker 4: Changes need to be made. Yeah, and there's bright spots
- 18:34Speaker 4: on this roster. There really is. Like you go back
- 18:37Speaker 4: and even this tape, like there was finally some things
- 18:40Speaker 4: that change. It was strangely enough, there was enough. Yeah,
- 18:45Speaker 4: there was enough. Takeaways. Now you've got some issues and
- 18:48Speaker 4: some spots. Do not get me wrong, you have got
- 18:52Speaker 4: some issues, but there's bright spots. And whoever comes in
- 18:55Speaker 4: has got to try to save those bright spots, change
- 18:58Speaker 4: the culture and bring in some bright spots. Like think
- 19:02Speaker 4: about the guys you brought in the defensive backfield. Those
- 19:04Speaker 4: guys are that guys are giving you everything they got.
- 19:07Speaker 4: They've been in LSU for months, not years, months, and
- 19:10Speaker 4: it looks like it means more to them than almost
- 19:12Speaker 4: anybody out there. Like aj Halsey definitely got a stinger
- 19:17Speaker 4: in the first half.
- 19:19Speaker 2: He's an absolute dog.
- 19:20Speaker 4: He came back in the second half. I'm like, oh man,
- 19:22Speaker 4: he might he might have to play a little timid here.
- 19:24Speaker 4: First play he was involved in, he knocks the runner
- 19:28Speaker 4: three yards out of bounds.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Like that guy he may play on the goal line here,
- 19:34Speaker 2: save the touchdown. That guy gets it. Man, that guy
- 19:37Speaker 2: is a dog.
- 19:38Speaker 4: Like if he just gets here and he can do that,
- 19:42Speaker 4: that's that's who he is. But now you got to
- 19:45Speaker 4: demand that. Everybody's like that. Everybody has that right. The
- 19:51Speaker 4: next head coach has to non negotiable when you have
- 19:56Speaker 4: that meeting with him, Get.
- 19:57Speaker 5: That and bring that back LSU football.
- 20:00Speaker 4: All right, We'll take a break more OTV when we
- 20:02Speaker 4: come back live from the Raise of Kine Studio.

- 21:31Speaker 1: Rougees go to for all things Louisiana sports.
- 21:56Speaker 4: All right, welcome back, Yano TV Live f Arza Caines
- 21:59Speaker 4: Studi Koh reminds you about Pelican Roofing pelicanroof dot Com.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Remember they're giving away a roof to a veteran. So
- 22:07Speaker 4: if you want to nominate a veteran, very cool deal
- 22:09Speaker 4: they've got going on top right corner of the website.
- 22:12Speaker 4: Click on community, drag down to it. You'll see it
- 22:15Speaker 4: right there in that tab. Click on it, fill it
- 22:17Speaker 4: out and bless somebody, because Pelican Roofing is going to
- 22:21Speaker 4: bless somebody with a free roof for a veteran.
- 22:24Speaker 5: Very cool deal.
- 22:25Speaker 4: Again, they don't have to do that, but they want
- 22:27Speaker 4: to do that, and they want to be in the
- 22:29Speaker 4: local communities in Lafayette, in Baton Rouge boots on the
- 22:32Speaker 4: ground in both pelicanroof dot Com. All right, so look,
- 22:37Speaker 4: we'll certainly get back to talking about, you know, what
- 22:42Speaker 4: went wrong, how we got here in all of that,
- 22:46Speaker 4: and all the things that didn't happen that needed to
- 22:48Speaker 4: happen that just never did, and you know, fully being
- 22:51Speaker 4: bought into, what.
- 22:53Speaker 5: This job is, what this job deserves, and all of that.
- 22:57Speaker 4: But there's going to be speculation over the next couple
- 22:59Speaker 4: of days and weeks because not only is LSU open,
- 23:02Speaker 4: but there is a host of jobs that are open.
- 23:05Speaker 4: You have Florida, you have Penn State, you have Arkansas,
- 23:08Speaker 4: you have Oklahoma State. You have all these jobs, and
- 23:10Speaker 4: you're not in the same market as coaches that Oklahoma
- 23:13Speaker 4: State and Arkansas are in. That's not disrespectful, that's just
- 23:15Speaker 4: the truth. That's just cold hard facts. You are probably
- 23:18Speaker 4: gonna be in some of the conversations with whoever Penn
- 23:21Speaker 4: State and Florida.
- 23:21Speaker 5: Are in on now.
- 23:23Speaker 4: Do I have LSU one, probably, Penn State two, Florida
- 23:28Speaker 4: three in that I do, and I think a lot
- 23:30Speaker 4: of people would or you know, some version of LSU
- 23:33Speaker 4: one and Penn State Florida, depending on how you want
- 23:35Speaker 4: to put those in those spots. Okay, so you're gonna
- 23:41Speaker 4: have to have an ear to the ground. You're gonna
- 23:43Speaker 4: have to find out what all the movers and shakers
- 23:45Speaker 4: are saying. You're gonna have to find out, you know
- 23:47Speaker 4: your list, what's their list? And what does all of
- 23:51Speaker 4: that look like. Okay, what do we think they're looking for?
- 23:56Speaker 4: What do we think is realistic in their next hire?
- 23:59Speaker 4: I think we laid out You can't just go look
- 24:01Speaker 4: at the resume from fifteen years in the totality of
- 24:05Speaker 4: it and what they've done the last fifteen years. Last
- 24:06Speaker 4: fifteen years don't matter, They do not matter. The game
- 24:10Speaker 4: has changed, it changed four or five years ago. What
- 24:13Speaker 4: have you done for me lately is the conversation we
- 24:16Speaker 4: need to have because lately is what the game is now.
- 24:21Speaker 5: What can you do moving forward?
- 24:22Speaker 4: What have you adapted to because there's so many coaches
- 24:26Speaker 4: that have impressive resumes, but they have not adapted to
- 24:28Speaker 4: what you have to do now. That's not the only thing,
- 24:33Speaker 4: because like we said, like you got to come here
- 24:37Speaker 4: because you want to come here and make it better
- 24:40Speaker 4: and fully buy in, shut the door, lock it, and
- 24:43Speaker 4: throw away the key, like we said in our number
- 24:45Speaker 4: one and get ready to work your ass off. Just
- 24:49Speaker 4: because this is the best job doesn't mean it's an
- 24:52Speaker 4: easy job. That expectation is there because it was set.
- 24:58Speaker 4: This isn't a country club job. That's not what this
- 25:01Speaker 4: job is. This is a two gridded to be pretty job.
- 25:05Speaker 4: That's got to be your mentality. And if it's not,
- 25:08Speaker 4: don't come here. You don't need to be here. If
- 25:11Speaker 4: you don't want to be in the building past five thirty,
- 25:13Speaker 4: if you don't want to be here during the off season,
- 25:16Speaker 4: if you don't want to be here during the bye weekend,
- 25:19Speaker 4: this is not the job for you. You got to
- 25:23Speaker 4: want to be here and it's got to be family,
- 25:27Speaker 4: LSU football, those are it. Those those are the things
- 25:33Speaker 4: that are your priorities. So we when we think about it,
- 25:38Speaker 4: when we start to think about possibilities, is their names?
- 25:42Speaker 5: Is there just a general direction that you want to
- 25:45Speaker 5: go in.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Well, look, we kind of talked about we were talking
- 25:49Speaker 2: about a different job open and we were talking about
- 25:51Speaker 2: Florida last week after where was it two weeks ago,
- 25:55Speaker 2: after Billy and Navyer got fired. We were talking about
- 25:57Speaker 2: like the coaches that are doing so well and about
- 26:01Speaker 2: how those mostly coaches that you would look at right
- 26:04Speaker 2: now aren't even an option because they're so ingrained into
- 26:08Speaker 2: that school. You talked about Clark Lee, Like Clark Lee
- 26:12Speaker 2: is Vanderbilt, Yeah, through and through, no doubt. Brient Key
- 26:16Speaker 2: like Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech through and through.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Like that's what you know about that man from the
- 26:20Speaker 4: very first conversation you have about it.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Right, So you got all these guys that would be
- 26:25Speaker 2: great candidates. But in this day and age in college
- 26:27Speaker 2: football within I l like these schools that have not
- 26:32Speaker 2: been able to compete and be relevant now can with
- 26:36Speaker 2: the right leader, like sometimes our right leader, Like just
- 26:39Speaker 2: like the two examples we just gave, like those guys
- 26:43Speaker 2: more than likely. I mean, never say never, but like
- 26:46Speaker 2: Vanderbilt's gonna pay them, Georgia Tech, it's gonna pay yep.
- 26:51Speaker 2: And that place means something to this place means something
- 26:54Speaker 2: like so you're not going to find so yeah, I
- 26:56Speaker 2: mean there's I mean, you could start listening off names
- 26:59Speaker 2: and you're no one's going to be wrong right now.
- 27:01Speaker 2: If you start, let's leave. If you say Gruden, You're
- 27:03Speaker 2: not gonna be wrong. You say it just for fun,
- 27:05Speaker 2: You say you can.
- 27:07Speaker 4: But I don't need to see any more bad edits
- 27:10Speaker 4: of John Gruden in any college football.
- 27:13Speaker 2: GPT has been busy over the last making so many
- 27:17Speaker 2: different images.
- 27:17Speaker 5: My god, I love DoD love John Gruden. He's awesome
- 27:24Speaker 5: to listen to, like his football mind.
- 27:26Speaker 4: But no, no, it's not we're talking about We're not
- 27:29Speaker 4: talking about that.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean obviously right now that the names being
- 27:33Speaker 2: thrown out there, I mean, Liane Kiffin's at the top
- 27:35Speaker 2: of everybody's list being thrown out there. Whether he's going
- 27:37Speaker 2: to be interested or not. I know the price tag
- 27:39Speaker 2: is going to be high. I know his agent's slicking
- 27:42Speaker 2: his lips right now for sure. Other names being thrown
- 27:46Speaker 2: out there. Dan Lanning, we talked about you were you
- 27:49Speaker 2: were your guy from mis Zoo with two z's M
- 27:54Speaker 2: I Z, M I Z whatever. Don't you thank you?
- 28:01Speaker 2: I'll admit, probably decent coach.
- 28:04Speaker 5: You think, mm hmm, you think Dranks previs coach.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Yeah. I was trying to think outside the box a
- 28:09Speaker 2: little bit too, of course, all just like thinking, just
- 28:11Speaker 2: pulling stuff out out of the air. Coming off a
- 28:14Speaker 2: big win two weeks ago. About the about the cat
- 28:17Speaker 2: over in Louisville.
- 28:19Speaker 5: Jeff Brown played played there, you know, plays very Louisville.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he's going to be uh that is
- 28:27Speaker 2: solid after at some point he think he's I think
- 28:29Speaker 2: I looked it up. He's like the anti James Franklin.
- 28:32Speaker 2: He's four and one against top five opponents in his
- 28:35Speaker 2: career at Perdue in Louisville. Yeah, yeah, James Franklin. He
- 28:40Speaker 2: is obviously somebody that played at Louisville.
- 28:42Speaker 4: His brother Brian, who you know you played with with
- 28:44Speaker 4: teammates with uh, he's the off the coordinator. He played
- 28:47Speaker 4: at Louisville. So like it means a lot to them.
- 28:49Speaker 4: He's making five point six, I believe million this year,
- 28:52Speaker 4: so obviously like a place like Elas, she would give
- 28:54Speaker 4: him about double his money, you know, but that place again,
- 28:59Speaker 4: like Clark Lee played at Vanderbilt, Brent Key played at
- 29:03Speaker 4: Georgie Tech, Jeff Brown played at Louisville. And I'm not
- 29:05Speaker 4: saying it's the only way, because, like you know, we've
- 29:07Speaker 4: seen that not work in a lot.
- 29:08Speaker 5: Of places before.
- 29:10Speaker 4: But my whole point in bringing that up is it
- 29:12Speaker 4: would be very difficult, I think, to get them away
- 29:14Speaker 4: from their school for su ESPN dot Com gave out
- 29:20Speaker 4: some of who they think potentially could be the list,
- 29:25Speaker 4: and they gave out five candidates. Ole Miss coach Lane
- 29:31Speaker 4: Kiffin to Lane coach John Sumrow, Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman,
- 29:36Speaker 4: Georgia Tech coach Brent Key, Missouri coach Eli Drinkwoitz.
- 29:43Speaker 2: There we go.
- 29:44Speaker 4: I I don't know, like for Marcus Freeman, Like, I.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Just don't think we've gone down to Notre Day.
- 29:54Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think Marm's a hell of a football coach.
- 29:58Speaker 4: I think Marcus Freeman gets the times that we're in.
- 30:01Speaker 2: I do.
- 30:02Speaker 4: I think Marcus Freeman would do better than than what
- 30:04Speaker 4: you've been the last couple of years.
- 30:06Speaker 5: I do.
- 30:07Speaker 4: I just think Marcus gets it. But you just went
- 30:12Speaker 4: down that same path. Yeah, I just I don't think
- 30:15Speaker 4: the optics pretty happy a Notre Dame too.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think the optic is just going with
- 30:21Speaker 2: just the Notre Dame aspect of thanks certainly wouldn't be
- 30:25Speaker 2: great for me. I like Marcus things a hell of
- 30:28Speaker 2: a coach. Played against him? Do you run him over?
- 30:35Speaker 2: I mean you get him good pro? Probably? This guy
- 30:38Speaker 2: says this guy, this guy probably did he play on
- 30:43Speaker 2: the team I played against. Look, I had crushed him.
- 30:48Speaker 5: I had one trick in my bag and that's what
- 30:52Speaker 5: it was.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Okay, Hey, our chat is lighting up right now. For
- 30:55Speaker 2: Kelvin Shepard. Love him. He's been a decordinator for half
- 31:03Speaker 2: a season too far.
- 31:04Speaker 5: Love Kelvin Chef loves the NFL.
- 31:06Speaker 4: I just want to let y'all know good owner loves
- 31:09Speaker 4: the NFL, the National Football League, and that's the league
- 31:12Speaker 4: that he.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Wants to be a coach in.
- 31:14Speaker 5: Chef's awesome, He's incredible, and if he.
- 31:17Speaker 4: Ever wanted to be a head coach, anybody'd be lucky
- 31:20Speaker 4: to have him. But I think he really enjoys being
- 31:23Speaker 4: the defensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions a lot.
- 31:29Speaker 2: You can tell. Yeah, it's like he's having a little
- 31:32Speaker 2: fun out there.
- 31:33Speaker 4: So of these names, John Sumral obviously is different because
- 31:39Speaker 4: I mean, Lane's in the SEC Marcus rooms at Notre Dame.
- 31:42Speaker 4: Brin Key has Georgia Tech, is the top ten team
- 31:46Speaker 4: in the country at the ACC and drinks an SEC coach.
- 31:49Speaker 4: I look, I think a lot of Eli Drinkwitz. Y'all
- 31:52Speaker 4: know that you'all heard me talk about him before. I
- 31:53Speaker 4: think's the hell of a football coach. He's won double
- 31:55Speaker 4: digit games back to back years in Missoo, He's going
- 31:57Speaker 4: to do it again this year. So Thing Drink is
- 32:00Speaker 4: certainly a candidate that you should consider Brin Keys, somebody
- 32:05Speaker 4: that if you want to you want to get back
- 32:06Speaker 4: to the DNA of what L s U football was,
- 32:09Speaker 4: Brent Key is probably the best answer there. Uh, We've
- 32:11Speaker 4: already talked about Marcus Freeman and we'll continue to talk
- 32:14Speaker 4: about Lane Kiffen. But John Sumraw is certainly a name
- 32:20Speaker 4: to pay attention to because he's probably the biggest name
- 32:22Speaker 4: of the group of six guys right to make that
- 32:25Speaker 4: jump to the power for like, he's the hottest name there.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll just yeah, we're gonna be interested on who
- 32:36Speaker 2: is going to be making that decision, so we'll be
- 32:38Speaker 2: excited to figure it out for right now, let's go
- 32:42Speaker 2: Frank all right, those boys, Right.
- 32:46Speaker 5: We do have some more L s U news.
- 32:48Speaker 4: As we said at the beginning of the show, Matt said,
- 32:50Speaker 4: it's going to continue to come throughout the day.
- 32:51Speaker 5: We'll give you the latest and the greatest as we uh.
- 32:53Speaker 2: We're gonna get through. We're gonna break down the game
- 32:55Speaker 2: as well.
- 32:56Speaker 4: We find out a new nugget here in the the
- 32:59Speaker 4: L s U Football program, and we'll have that for
- 33:02Speaker 4: you when we.
- 33:02Speaker 5: Come back here on OTV.
- 33:04Speaker 4: Dofter bench you go to Golf Coast Office products, the
- 33:08Speaker 4: website there at gcop net dot com. We all know,
- 33:11Speaker 4: right if you're in that profession of having an engineering
- 33:14Speaker 4: firm or you got a law firm, schools, universities, banks, whatever,
- 33:18Speaker 4: like whatever it is, right, you need the document when
- 33:22Speaker 4: you need it. You don't need it five minutes, ten minutes,
- 33:24Speaker 4: You need it right now. And so like, if anything
- 33:27Speaker 4: happens with gcop on your side, you're gonna talk to
- 33:30Speaker 4: a human being who's gonna help you right then, right there,
- 33:32Speaker 4: make sure that everything is where it needs to be
- 33:36Speaker 4: and when it needs to be there at gcop net
- 33:38Speaker 4: dot com.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Right, Golf Coast Office products your Louisiana's leader and printers
- 33:42Speaker 2: and copy and service. And we know that paper trail
- 33:45Speaker 2: is a lifeline of any office. But what really sets
- 33:48Speaker 2: Golf Coast apart isn't the tech, it's the people. Their
- 33:50Speaker 2: award winning local service team responds fast, keeps you up
- 33:53Speaker 2: and running, and treat your business like it's around. When
- 33:56Speaker 2: you call them, you're not gonna get one of those robots.
- 33:58Speaker 2: You're gonna talk to an actual person that can get
- 34:00Speaker 2: at your office, get that paper trail back up and running.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Give them a call. They are the best gcop dot.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Com from the locker room.
- 34:17Speaker 1: To the airwaves, gets off the bench with Jacob Hester
- 34:20Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn.
- 34:50Speaker 4: All right, welcome back, Yeah no TV here live from
- 34:52Speaker 4: the Raising Kines studio. This just comes across the wire.
- 34:55Speaker 4: I saw DELI had it maybe first, doesn't really matter.
- 34:58Speaker 4: Pete Damill had it as well. Has dismissed the offensive coordinator,
- 35:03Speaker 4: Joe Sloan. The move comes with LSU ranked at number
- 35:07Speaker 4: twelve on offense in the SEC.
- 35:09Speaker 5: Of course, he spent four years on the staff.
- 35:12Speaker 4: A couple of quarterback coach and a couple as co
- 35:15Speaker 4: offensive coordinator, even though he was obviously the play caller.
- 35:18Speaker 4: Lshu's offense was among the top ten and passing offense
- 35:20Speaker 4: and top twenty five in total offense in the country
- 35:23Speaker 4: last year under Sloan. But of course those numbers have
- 35:25Speaker 4: dipped here this season, and it's been egregious some of
- 35:33Speaker 4: the things that we've seen on film. It's been some
- 35:36Speaker 4: elementary stuff, and it's been things that just can't happen
- 35:40Speaker 4: like the other night. And again, we're not gonna get
- 35:43Speaker 4: into the breakdown the game like we want to today
- 35:45Speaker 4: because obviously the newser head coach gets fired but at
- 35:49Speaker 4: some point, certainly with the bye week and us having
- 35:51Speaker 4: some extra time here, we'll get into it. When we
- 35:54Speaker 4: show you the passing chart of this game. You're not
- 35:56Speaker 4: gonna believe us. You're just not going to You're gonna say, no,
- 35:58Speaker 4: that's just. Oh you gave Harlowe your two year old
- 36:01Speaker 4: daughter a marker and said, hey, place dots on this
- 36:05Speaker 4: piece of paper.
- 36:06Speaker 5: But you can't do it in the middle. You can't
- 36:08Speaker 5: do it.
- 36:09Speaker 4: There's there's tape, crime scene tape in the middle of
- 36:12Speaker 4: the football field, and you can't.
- 36:13Speaker 5: You can't put a dot there. That's what it looks
- 36:15Speaker 5: like because.
- 36:18Speaker 2: It wasn't good.
- 36:19Speaker 4: The RPO stuff, the behind the stick stuff, the screen
- 36:24Speaker 4: passes on third and seven, the draws on third in
- 36:27Speaker 4: a country mile, just.
- 36:32Speaker 2: It.
- 36:32Speaker 5: He got into a point where there.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Was no like it was just the offense was you know,
- 36:38Speaker 2: I'm not even gonna say that he needs to be
- 36:39Speaker 2: more creative. It wasn't a creativity issue. It was a
- 36:44Speaker 2: it was an issue where it got into it. It
- 36:46Speaker 2: just wasn't they just run like real football plays up there.
- 36:51Speaker 2: I run normal passing concepts. The answers that we had
- 36:55Speaker 2: in big down and distances, the answers that we had
- 36:57Speaker 2: when it mattered were the same, and they were reused
- 37:01Speaker 2: and recycled, and everything was outside of the hash, outside
- 37:04Speaker 2: of the numbers. How many like every pass, even even
- 37:07Speaker 2: passes that were completed the other day in the game,
- 37:09Speaker 2: it all looked hard, like hitch routes to the far
- 37:13Speaker 2: side of the field versus versus a corner that's sitting
- 37:16Speaker 2: on a hitch route. Yeah, sure, we completed it sometimes
- 37:19Speaker 2: and it's great when you complete it and the things
- 37:21Speaker 2: get overlooked. But everything is just looked hard. We complete
- 37:25Speaker 2: one pass over the over the middle of field to
- 37:27Speaker 2: Aaron Anderson makes a big play, explosive play, exposed to gain. Great,
- 37:31Speaker 2: we didn't do it anymore. No, Now, a lot of it,
- 37:33Speaker 2: you know, a lot of it certainly has played design
- 37:35Speaker 2: and play calling, and you lack of creativity, and a
- 37:38Speaker 2: lot of your answers are like, we're gonna run hitch
- 37:40Speaker 2: routes and comeback routes to the outside, and our seam routes,
- 37:43Speaker 2: we're not even gonna look at them, our seam routes,
- 37:45Speaker 2: Like I'm watching our guys get vertical down the field
- 37:48Speaker 2: and it's they're not running them correctly. They're not being
- 37:52Speaker 2: being put in position to attack the middle field A
- 37:55Speaker 2: lot of time, we're not running inside breaking routes, just
- 38:00Speaker 2: not putting guys in a good position. And then of course,
- 38:02Speaker 2: like we all like we've I don't know how many
- 38:04Speaker 2: thousands of times we can say it on the show
- 38:06Speaker 2: and do film breakdowns, but like wide receiver screens and
- 38:09Speaker 2: just bad play calls on I mean, these are things
- 38:12Speaker 2: that get you beat. And I know there's been a
- 38:15Speaker 2: lot of rumors coming out recently about like did Brian
- 38:18Speaker 2: Kelly take over some of the play calling. Did he like,
- 38:20Speaker 2: would he chime in and be like, no, run this play,
- 38:22Speaker 2: run that play. I don't know, we're not on the headsets,
- 38:27Speaker 2: but he sure sure could have it disrupts it. And
- 38:30Speaker 2: you know, Joe Slan like, look, he's been a part
- 38:32Speaker 2: of some good offenses here. Last yearnus Meyer played great.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Nuss Meyer has been a shell of himself this year. Yeah. Now,
- 38:38Speaker 2: I could say that the plays have been also worse,
- 38:40Speaker 2: but he his play hasn't been great, so that protection
- 38:43Speaker 2: has been horrible. Protection has been bad. He hasn't been
- 38:46Speaker 2: able to read it out. I think he sees ghosts sometimes.
- 38:48Speaker 2: I think he's playing. But like, but as a coach,
- 38:52Speaker 2: it's your job to develop that, your job to get
- 38:55Speaker 2: him comfortable at your job to run passing plays where
- 38:59Speaker 2: you can get your quarterback rhythm, get him out of
- 39:01Speaker 2: the funk.
- 39:02Speaker 4: To me, it was a game plan that would have
- 39:08Speaker 4: been very hard for anybody to be successful at a
- 39:12Speaker 4: high level playing the quarterback position. Now, there's some things,
- 39:16Speaker 4: certainly that Garrett would come in here and he would
- 39:18Speaker 4: own up to certainly, But when you go back and
- 39:21Speaker 4: you watch the tape, the things that were designed for
- 39:25Speaker 4: only specific parts of the football field were troublesome.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Troublesome like.
- 39:32Speaker 4: Trick them high school Harry type stuff. M seven and
- 39:38Speaker 4: throw behind the line of scrimmage, and like, dude, you've
- 39:41Speaker 4: got you've got pros at receiver pros and you got
- 39:47Speaker 4: a tight end that's an alien. There's not many guys
- 39:50Speaker 4: walking the earth. It looked like Trede s Green that
- 39:52Speaker 4: had the skill set that he has. And you're running,
- 39:55Speaker 4: you're running stuff at the line of scrimmage and and
- 39:57Speaker 4: you don't use the middle of the football field at all.
- 40:00Speaker 4: And I'm not talking about your quarterback doesn't see it.
- 40:03Speaker 4: You didn't run there, you didn't attack there, like even
- 40:06Speaker 4: when when Van Buren comes in his first pass, like
- 40:10Speaker 4: he ripped it over the middle.
- 40:11Speaker 5: But like even that.
- 40:12Speaker 4: Was was kind of like borderline, like going down the hash. Yeah,
- 40:16Speaker 4: we're talking about the fastest way to the end zone
- 40:19Speaker 4: through the middle of the football field.
- 40:20Speaker 2: And look and and there's a lot of times where
- 40:23Speaker 2: you have you know, vertical routes, three vertical routes, whatever,
- 40:26Speaker 2: and guys are supposed to run, you know, they're supposed
- 40:29Speaker 2: to run across the hash, across to the other side
- 40:31Speaker 2: of the hat. And you got two receivers next to
- 40:34Speaker 2: each other just running down vertical That's that's that's that's coaching.
- 40:37Speaker 2: You got to you gotta have these guys understanding how
- 40:40Speaker 2: to run their pass routes, how to run across the
- 40:44Speaker 2: middle versus different coverages, and so you know, it's it's
- 40:48Speaker 2: it's a combination of everything, Like this is this is
- 40:50Speaker 2: building up. We could see this one coming from a
- 40:52Speaker 2: mile away. The offense has been bad, straight up. Defense
- 40:56Speaker 2: has been good for most part. Got they've been exposed recently, Okay,
- 41:00Speaker 2: got it. But the offense, you've been bad all season.
- 41:06Speaker 2: You've been even even in the wins. Like but you know,
- 41:09Speaker 2: to their credit. They actually did a couple of things
- 41:11Speaker 2: this past game that were a little bit better. We
- 41:13Speaker 2: can start showing you a little bit of that stuff
- 41:15Speaker 2: coming up, Like we cut a lot of the RPO
- 41:18Speaker 2: stuff out. We had receivers block, we had receivers to
- 41:21Speaker 2: the run side, dig out safeties that had created explosive games.
- 41:25Speaker 2: Why couldn't you figure that out earlier? Yeah, we ran
- 41:29Speaker 2: the ball, I think halland Berry averaging seven yards of carry.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Then he gets one carry in the third quarter. I
- 41:35Speaker 2: get it, maybe second half, well the fourth quart I mean,
- 41:37Speaker 2: is it's out of hand at that point, but like, like,
- 41:40Speaker 2: what are we doing? It's just it seemed like the
- 41:44Speaker 2: job was a little a little a little bo oh
- 41:47Speaker 2: for sure, Over said a little bit there. Sure, So
- 41:52Speaker 2: this one was obviously and he gets mass. Last year
- 41:54Speaker 2: you have a four thousand yard passer, right yep.
- 41:56Speaker 4: And so like you're like, okay, well it's not it's
- 41:59Speaker 4: not complimentary your offense, but hell, at least you can
- 42:03Speaker 4: do that at a at a very high level. Its
- 42:05Speaker 4: second leading passer in the country. But when that went
- 42:08Speaker 4: to hell, what do you have?
- 42:09Speaker 5: What do you have?
- 42:10Speaker 2: You don't have a.
- 42:10Speaker 4: Running game, because you wouldn't commit to it. You got
- 42:13Speaker 4: the running backs. I mean, Harlan Barry looks like he
- 42:16Speaker 4: is a star. I mean his patience, his suddenness.
- 42:22Speaker 2: And you can say like there's Lineman issues, blah bah blah.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Look around the country, there's people doing a lot more
- 42:26Speaker 2: with a lot less.
- 42:27Speaker 4: Yes, that is very very well said. So Joe Sloan
- 42:32Speaker 4: out as Offen's coordinator. He follows Brian Kelly out the
- 42:36Speaker 4: door there. So we'll update you. We'll take a break,
- 42:40Speaker 4: maybe find out who the play caller is. I know
- 42:42Speaker 4: Tim Ortay's name's being thrown out there Atkins as well.
- 42:45Speaker 5: We'll have all of.
- 42:45Speaker 2: It for you.
- 42:46Speaker 5: It is officially okay, all right, well there you go.
- 42:50Speaker 5: That gun's taking over the calling.
- 42:52Speaker 4: And that's you know, somebody that I don't believe has
- 42:55Speaker 4: play calling in his past. He's been a coordinator, but
- 43:00Speaker 4: at Floria State, no time like the president, Jacob. All right,
- 43:03Speaker 4: we'll take a break more to be off the bench.
- 43:06Speaker 4: All right, go to trash rangers dot com. On trash
- 43:08Speaker 4: rangers dot com, if you're signing up for residential commercial service,
- 43:12Speaker 4: you can do it right there on the website. Remember
- 43:14Speaker 4: they have roll off dumpster's three different sizes to choose from,
- 43:17Speaker 4: so make sure you have the right size on your project.
- 43:19Speaker 4: Call them, tell them, hey, here's what I got going on.
- 43:22Speaker 4: Here's what I expect at my home and my business.
- 43:24Speaker 4: They're going to know exactly what size you're going to need.
- 43:26Speaker 4: But don't worry if you undersell it. Got more than
- 43:31Speaker 4: you thought, more trash than you thought. Maybe you're cleaning
- 43:33Speaker 4: out of house, maybe you're looking for something. You got
- 43:35Speaker 4: to look for something new here coming up in the
- 43:37Speaker 4: near future.
- 43:39Speaker 2: Hey, get a bigger one.
- 43:41Speaker 5: They'll empty and bring it back to you.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Hey, you got a little bit of trash, they got
- 43:44Speaker 2: a little dumpster, got a lot of trash. They got
- 43:46Speaker 2: a lot of dumpster. So again we call they are
- 43:48Speaker 2: losing as a leader and trash removal whatever it is.
- 43:51Speaker 2: But also yeah, they have the trash Rangers Sanitation Apartment,
- 43:55Speaker 2: which is their portable toilet business. You can go there
- 43:57Speaker 2: in their new renovated website right there trash rangers dot com.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Check it out. If you have a festival at construction site,
- 44:03Speaker 2: whatever it is, make sure you go to trash Rangers Sanitation.
- 44:06Speaker 2: They are number one at picking up number two track.
- 44:14Speaker 1: From the locker room to the airwaves. Gets off the
- 44:16Speaker 1: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 44:40Speaker 4: All Right, welcome back, gain OTV here laugh from the
- 44:42Speaker 4: rads of King Studio. In the next hour, we'll give
- 44:44Speaker 4: you kind of some examples of what happened, what went wrong,
- 44:47Speaker 4: what went right. Although it wasn't a lot at least
- 44:49Speaker 4: in the run game, you had some right. In the
- 44:51Speaker 4: Texas A and M game, they did run the op
- 44:55Speaker 4: viube again. So LSU has fired off its coordinator, Joe Sloan,
- 44:59Speaker 4: so it is Brian Kelly and Joe Sloan. Titans coach
- 45:01Speaker 4: Alex Atkins will take over as offensive coordinator. And look,
- 45:06Speaker 4: you got a couple of weeks. That's why you do
- 45:08Speaker 4: it during the bye week. You got a couple of
- 45:09Speaker 4: weeks to prepare for Alabama. Last time that this happened,
- 45:13Speaker 4: remember you go to Alabama, you were like a three
- 45:16Speaker 4: touchdown dog and you throw the ball in the end zone,
- 45:18Speaker 4: you catch it, you would have won the game. Remember
- 45:21Speaker 4: Derante Jones came out with a hell of a game
- 45:23Speaker 4: plan defensively, Alabama had no idea what was going to happen,
- 45:28Speaker 4: and LSU got after them on defense. And it was
- 45:31Speaker 4: actually one of the only times I can remember like
- 45:34Speaker 4: even in a loss, like being like, man, that was
- 45:36Speaker 4: that was awesome.
- 45:37Speaker 2: That was great.
- 45:38Speaker 4: So like you're gonna have the ability to have something
- 45:41Speaker 4: that Alabama's probably not going to know what to prepare for.
- 45:44Speaker 4: So look, we're not even remotely close to getting ready
- 45:47Speaker 4: to start to talk about that game, but that is
- 45:50Speaker 4: going to be the situation.
- 45:51Speaker 5: So it is Alex Atkins. It takes over as you'r.
- 45:53Speaker 2: Oc interim bump baby coming.
- 45:55Speaker 4: We'll talk about it all and our number three of
- 45:57Speaker 4: OTV often bench
