- 2:01Speaker 7: Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody, y'all listening
- 2:06Speaker 7: to the voice, Come on deep me now, one and
- 2:08Speaker 7: only Steve Harvey man oh man, got a radio show. Yeah,
- 2:12Speaker 7: I do. God so big to me, man, I just
- 2:15Speaker 7: have to tell you about it. I can't help it.
- 2:18Speaker 7: It's rather obvious to me how big, how good God is.
- 2:23Speaker 7: He's absolutely tremendous. He's off the chain. He owned one,
- 2:30Speaker 7: he'd be clowning, he'd be just showing out.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Man.
- 2:34Speaker 7: I'm just over here, just on the receiving end. You know,
- 2:38Speaker 7: if you're out there, start your mission today, Start your
- 2:43Speaker 7: mission today? What are you waiting for? Why do we
- 2:49Speaker 7: as people delay what we want or delay the process
- 2:58Speaker 7: to begin what we want? Our hopes, our dreams, our desires.
- 3:03Speaker 7: Why won't you start your mission today? Why don't we
- 3:07Speaker 7: all decide together that just individually. Look you listening, you
- 3:14Speaker 7: got something that you've been dreaming about. You got an
- 3:17Speaker 7: ambition of yours that's not yet fulfilled. You got goals
- 3:20Speaker 7: you haven't accomplished yet. Everybody has them. Everybody's got them.
- 3:25Speaker 7: Everybody's got something that's on the table that they haven't
- 3:29Speaker 7: yet attacked yet. What are you waiting for? Start your
- 3:33Speaker 7: mission today? Stop the procrastination.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Now.
- 3:37Speaker 7: The procrastination is only hurting you yourself. If you got
- 3:42Speaker 7: a goal of aspiration to dream and you fall off
- 3:45Speaker 7: track momentarily, you can get back to that because God
- 3:50Speaker 7: knows where you left off.
- 3:52Speaker 6: Now.
- 3:52Speaker 7: You may have to accomplish a few more things since
- 3:54Speaker 7: you stopped for a long period of time, but God
- 3:57Speaker 7: know where you left off, you can get back on track.
- 4:00Speaker 7: I look, man, this dream of being on TV since
- 4:02Speaker 7: I was a kid, and it got off track. Now
- 4:06Speaker 7: it got off track. I just kept it as one
- 4:09Speaker 7: of the dreams, and in some real dog moments when
- 4:12Speaker 7: it looked like it wasn't gonna happen, all I was
- 4:15Speaker 7: hanging on to was just the hope that one day
- 4:18Speaker 7: it could. But that's what faith is really about. Faith
- 4:22Speaker 7: is the belief in things that you cannot see. But
- 4:25Speaker 7: faith gives you the confidence to keep hoping. Man, Sometimes
- 4:30Speaker 7: it just keep hope alive. Sometimes you heard Jesse Jackson
- 4:33Speaker 7: say it, just keep hope alive. Sometimes, man, it's just
- 4:36Speaker 7: the hope. I was hanging on a hope, And I'm
- 4:41Speaker 7: talking about when it got real ugly and funky out
- 4:44Speaker 7: there for me, when it looked like I wasn't gonna
- 4:46Speaker 7: ever make it, and all of the facts was in
- 4:50Speaker 7: and everything pointed in the direction you not gonna make it.
- 4:53Speaker 7: You done really messed up this time. Then I sat
- 4:57Speaker 7: there and I just hung on to the hope. But man,
- 5:01Speaker 7: that's what I'm saying. If you got a dream on
- 5:04Speaker 7: aspiration of vision or something, when you fall off track
- 5:08Speaker 7: and you want to go get back in line, God
- 5:11Speaker 7: holds your place.
- 5:12Speaker 1: See.
- 5:13Speaker 7: He held on to that for me. He knew I
- 5:15Speaker 7: was off tracking, out of line, but he said, okay,
- 5:18Speaker 7: here's where we stopped. You want to be on TV. Now,
- 5:21Speaker 7: when you get it together and you quit tripping and
- 5:23Speaker 7: you come and your turn to me, I'm gonna hold
- 5:25Speaker 7: your place, put you back in line. Then we're gonna
- 5:27Speaker 7: finish the journey that took me a lot longer to
- 5:29Speaker 7: get here than I wanted to. But then it was
- 5:32Speaker 7: necessary because I needed all of them mishaps to happen
- 5:35Speaker 7: to me along the way. So when I got on
- 5:37Speaker 7: the radio one day, which I did not see coming,
- 5:39Speaker 7: Steve Harvey got a radio show, y'all. That's why I
- 5:42Speaker 7: say it every day. See, because of this radio show
- 5:45Speaker 7: that I didn't see coming. Now I have stories to tell,
- 5:49Speaker 7: I got experiences to share, and I can tell you
- 5:52Speaker 7: about me better I can tell you about anybody. And
- 5:56Speaker 7: I done been through enough whereas relatable, where enough people
- 6:00Speaker 7: can go. Man that happened to me. Appreciate you saying that,
- 6:03Speaker 7: that's what it was for. See, I get it now.
- 6:05Speaker 7: See at the time, no, I didn't like what was
- 6:08Speaker 7: happening to me. At the time, I was really in
- 6:11Speaker 7: total disagreement with God on a lot of stuff he
- 6:13Speaker 7: was pulling off on me. But in essence I was
- 6:16Speaker 7: really pulling it off on myself. But through his grace
- 6:19Speaker 7: and mercy, he kept me through all of my mistakes,
- 6:22Speaker 7: all my bad decisions, all my miscalculations, all my misfires,
- 6:27Speaker 7: all the times I knowingly stepped out there and did wrong.
- 6:32Speaker 7: He forgave me. He said, because, man, if you ever
- 6:36Speaker 7: come to me, I have a plan for you that
- 6:39Speaker 7: is going to be far and above. It will supersede
- 6:43Speaker 7: everything you've ever dreamed of. That's what I did. I
- 6:47Speaker 7: just got sick of me, good and sick of me,
- 6:50Speaker 7: and I turned it over to God. And then God
- 6:53Speaker 7: started working and here I am today.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Now.
- 6:57Speaker 7: He threw with me. Yet Nope, yet, nope. But guess
- 7:02Speaker 7: what the journey is cool? You know. It's like I
- 7:06Speaker 7: was talking to this young brother the other day about
- 7:09Speaker 7: comedy and he's a really good stand up. You know,
- 7:11Speaker 7: this young dude's really good. He said, Man, what is
- 7:15Speaker 7: this I feel every night before I go on stage.
- 7:18Speaker 7: I don't know what it is. I just want it
- 7:20Speaker 7: off me, I said, sir, listen to me, you young dude.
- 7:24Speaker 7: This thing that climbs on my back every night before
- 7:28Speaker 7: I go on stage. I don't know what it is.
- 7:31Speaker 7: It's got something to do with pressure, It's got something
- 7:34Speaker 7: to do with anticipation. It's got a whole lot to
- 7:37Speaker 7: do with the fear of falling. He said. What you
- 7:39Speaker 7: mean by that, I say, every night I walk out
- 7:42Speaker 7: on stage, it's like I'm about to go and step
- 7:44Speaker 7: off of cliff. I say, it's a sickening feeling. He said, man,
- 7:48Speaker 7: but you do so well. I said, that's because the
- 7:51Speaker 7: parachute opens. I say, but I want you to understand something.
- 7:54Speaker 7: When I first walk out there, it's just stepping off
- 7:57Speaker 7: the cliff. Now these jokes provide a parachute which slows
- 8:03Speaker 7: my descent when I jump off the cliff, and I
- 8:06Speaker 7: turned it into a glide. And then I take the
- 8:09Speaker 7: audience this way and I swung them back over to
- 8:11Speaker 7: that way. We might swing out to the Colorado Rockies.
- 8:15Speaker 7: We may go down to Miami with this joke. We
- 8:18Speaker 7: may take it on out to LA and I just
- 8:20Speaker 7: swing back and forth till I land softly. The crowd cheers.
- 8:24Speaker 7: The night is over with, I said, but it's been
- 8:26Speaker 7: too many nights though. When I walked off that cliff
- 8:29Speaker 7: and I pulled the cord and the parachute didn't open,
- 8:32Speaker 7: I said, Now I'm just free falling out there for
- 8:34Speaker 7: thirty minutes. Ain't no jokes working. Ain't the parachute didn't open?
- 8:39Speaker 7: I said, So see, that's what it's like for me.
- 8:42Speaker 7: And then you know what I found out. If you
- 8:44Speaker 7: done walked off the cliff in life, and you ain't
- 8:47Speaker 7: got no guard in your life. It's like not having
- 8:50Speaker 7: a parachute. You step off the cliff and you just
- 8:54Speaker 7: free falling. Now see we all now that fog gets
- 8:58Speaker 7: you closer to the grave, right, see, we all heading
- 9:01Speaker 7: to the grave from the moment we're born. But the
- 9:03Speaker 7: cool thing about a relationship with God is when you
- 9:06Speaker 7: step off the cliff and you got God here a parachute.
- 9:09Speaker 7: You still going down, but it's a nice ride, and
- 9:13Speaker 7: God just helps your descent appear more like a rise
- 9:17Speaker 7: and the more like a euphoric fall, instead of not
- 9:21Speaker 7: having no God in your life and you just walking
- 9:24Speaker 7: off that cliff every day, free falling. Ain't got no cord,
- 9:28Speaker 7: you steady pulling, you hollering the whole way because you
- 9:31Speaker 7: to mess around with yourself and ain't let God come
- 9:34Speaker 7: into your life and provide a parachute for you. I
- 9:38Speaker 7: would rather have a parachute since I got to jump
- 9:41Speaker 7: every day, than to not have one. God has been
- 9:44Speaker 7: like a parachute for me. Ask me where that came from.
- 9:49Speaker 7: I can't tell you. But like I always say, most
- 9:52Speaker 7: good things that happen in my life that I can't
- 9:54Speaker 7: explain is usually him. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 9:58Speaker 7: Morning Show,
