- 0:01Ephesians chapter 3. Let us pray our God and our King
- 0:09and our Master, our Lord Adonai, Father of all, we are so
- 0:17incredibly thankful for another day to come and to worship you
- 0:22in spirit and truth. Today, God, we are coming in to
- 0:26the throne room of grace. God, we are grabbing a hold of
- 0:30the hem of your garment. Today we're receiving our
- 0:33healing and our forgiveness. Today, Father, in the mighty
- 0:39name of Jesus Christ, we plead the blood.
- 0:42Father, we speak a better word. God, over this generation, over
- 0:49all the lies and the schemes of the enemy, of all the
- 0:52entanglements, God, of all the traps and the snares, Father,
- 0:57the briars that come and try to choke out all of the
- 1:00fruitfulness, Lord, that you have for us.
- 1:04Lord, I pray in the name of Jesus that you will bind the
- 1:08enemy today, that you will shut the mouths of the lion today,
- 1:12God, and that you will come and get your glory.
- 1:16Father, I pray in the name of Jesus that you will help us Lord
- 1:19to love you more and to be sold out and to be laid down.
- 1:23Lovers of you, Yeshua, you are holy and you are mighty and you
- 1:29are the king of the universe. So, Lord, we purge out all of
- 1:34the impurities and the dross of all of the carnality, Father,
- 1:40and we're asking for a filling today.
- 1:43Holy Spirit, come and find this temple completely emptied of the
- 1:49world and fill us. And the Holy Ghost overflow us
- 1:56into the streets and the highways.
- 2:00Help us to love and to love well.
- 2:03Help us to see all of mankind on every continent as made in your
- 2:09image. Father, we thank you, Lord, for
- 2:13your spoken word. We thank you for the complete
- 2:16work. God, we thank you for the
- 2:19authority over all governments, the authority over all lands.
- 2:24The authority over all people groups.
- 2:27We thank you that we can know you Father, and be known by you,
- 2:32Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
- 2:37You are Israel's God and you are our Father.
- 2:41And so Lord, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ that you will be
- 2:46here and be our guide and show us what it is that You want us
- 2:50to know today. Let this word become alive and
- 2:54active, Father, let it discern us and correct us and discipline
- 2:59us. Father, I pray as we read your
- 3:02words and it goes out and reverberates through the
- 3:05rafters, God, and goes out into the entire world.
- 3:08God, I pray in the name of Jesus that today will be the day of
- 3:12salvation, that we will work out our salvation with fear and
- 3:17trembling. God, because you are so holy and
- 3:21it is your glory that encompasses us, Your Shekinah
- 3:24glory, Father, and we are undone in your presence.
- 3:29We thank you, Father, for all of the many blessings that you've
- 3:33already poured out upon us today of waking us up and giving us
- 3:37another day to come and to worship you.
- 3:40Father, we love you. King Jesus, heal our broken
- 3:43bodies, heal broken marriages. Bring the prodigals home.
- 3:47Father, let cancer and let disease and diabetes and let
- 3:52epilepsy fall off. God, in the name of Jesus, I
- 3:56pray let Alzheimer's and dementia and heart disease fall
- 4:01off. God in the name of Jesus, make
- 4:03us whole, make us complete. Father, heal us today.
- 4:07Lord, for you are incredible. You are our everything.
- 4:12We love you. Father, give us a good judgment.
- 4:15Father, I pray as we're taking to taken to task, taken into the
- 4:22Gentile courtrooms, God, I pray that you will be there and you
- 4:26will give us the words to speak and let us speak truth in love.
- 4:31Father, let us stand on the truth.
- 4:33Let us live the right way. Let us have peace.
- 4:36Let us run this race. Let us remember our salvation
- 4:39story. Let us raise our faith level up
- 4:42higher than our circumstances. And God, help us to rightly
- 4:46divide the word today so that we can go out, Lord, and snatch
- 4:50those out of the fire, Father, and do war with all of the
- 4:55principalities in the heavenly God, all the realm of the fallen
- 5:01angels. God, I pray in the name of Jesus
- 5:04that you'll help us to resist and help us to flee.
- 5:08God, in the name of Jesus, I pray you are our master, You are
- 5:14our guide, You are our everything.
- 5:16We love you, Father, and it's in your holy and precious and
- 5:19powerful and glorious and holy name that I pray Jesus.
- 5:25Amen. Let's start in verse one for
- 5:32this 'cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you
- 5:38Gentiles. What's he talking about here?
- 5:41Well, we know that Peter had the ministry of hanging out and
- 5:45witnessing to the Jews and here Paul is reminding his readers of
- 5:53this letter he's writing from prison and he's letting them
- 5:57know that the ministry entrusted to him was specifically for the
- 6:01Gentiles to. If you have heard of the
- 6:07dispensation of the grace of God, which is given to given me
- 6:11to you word. So he's saying that God has
- 6:17chosen Paul as his instrument to take the story of salvation, the
- 6:24good news of the Lord Jesus Christ, and what he wrought for
- 6:28us on the cross. Whenever He won our salvation,
- 6:31He took on all of our sins, and then he imputed into us His
- 6:37righteousness and holiness. His perfection and innocence is
- 6:42ours if we will wear His righteousness, friends, if we
- 6:47will receive. Our salvation is a free gift,
- 6:51friends, and it is grace that abounds towards us, friends, and
- 6:55it is faith that we take a hold of His righteousness and
- 7:00innocence and we are clothed with the Holy Spirit.
- 7:04And one day we will stand before an Almighty God and He will not
- 7:08see any of our sins that we have ever committed, friends, because
- 7:13we have the righteousness and the perfection and the purity of
- 7:19Jesus Christ. Hallelujah, praise the Lord.
- 7:22And when you have that reality and when you let it sink in,
- 7:26friends, you will live differently.
- 7:29You will live completely on fire for the Lord.
- 7:32And when you sin, not if, but when you sin, you will know that
- 7:36it is all under the blood of Jesus Christ.
- 7:39And you will not let the enemy, you will not let the devil come
- 7:43and rail accusations against you and tell you that God is mad at
- 7:49you and doesn't want to have anything to do with you.
- 7:52And you have lost your salvation, of you have fallen
- 7:55from grace. Far be it from us to give in to
- 7:58the trickery and the deception of the evil. 1 And that is what
- 8:02you need to understand is that if you were clothed in the
- 8:07righteousness of our Lord Jesus Christ, then his blood is enough
- 8:13to cover all of the sins that you have ever committed, are
- 8:18committing, or will ever commit. But by and large, you will not
- 8:23abuse that grace, friends, if someone is abusing grace.
- 8:27And this is where so many theologians and so many teachers
- 8:32and so many people who have come before us.
- 8:36This is where they have aired friends because they are afraid,
- 8:40Friends just like the one with the one talent and he was
- 8:43afraid. We cannot operate in a spirit of
- 8:46fear. And there are many who will not
- 8:49teach the plain truths of the Bible because they believe that
- 8:53there will be many who abuse grace and they will use it as a
- 8:59license to sin, knowing that all the sins that they've ever
- 9:03committed are under the blood. But here is the caveat.
- 9:08If you truly know the Lord Jesus Christ, you will not want to
- 9:13break His heart. You will not want to sin against
- 9:16Him, friends, and to grieve the Holy Spirit.
- 9:19And that is what you need to know.
- 9:21We cannot our consciences and that is a true mark of a
- 9:26believer is someone who has conviction, someone who can see
- 9:32whenever they are grieving the Holy Spirit.
- 9:36And if you are indwelled with the Holy Spirit, then He will
- 9:39empower you to be able to overcome all of the sins that
- 9:44are coming your way and you will not be comfortable in that sin.
- 9:49Verse 3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the
- 9:53mystery as I wrote before in a few words.
- 9:57So Paul is going to start talking about this mystery that
- 10:00was hidden from all of the Old Testament prophets and even
- 10:04during Christ's earthly ministry.
- 10:06And he alluded to it but once whenever he talked about the
- 10:10church. And he told Peter that he was
- 10:13going to build the church on him.
- 10:16And that is not a literal building upon the actual body of
- 10:24Peter. That was Peter was going to be
- 10:27the Forerunner. He was going to be the one on
- 10:30the Day of Pentecost to get the whole movement started.
- 10:33And we know that it was the Holy Ghost in dwelling them that
- 10:37caused them to speak in tongues and to cause them to have the
- 10:41fire that was over their head. And we know that God Almighty is
- 10:47glorified in the highest, and it all started there on the day of
- 10:50Pentecost. And the Church was born,
- 10:53friends. And here we are 2000 years
- 10:56removed from that event and still the gates of hell have not
- 11:00prevailed and will not prevail against it.
- 11:03But it was still shrouded and clouded.
- 11:06It was still a mystery, and it was only alluded to once, but it
- 11:11was given to the apostle Paul to expound upon what the church is
- 11:16to be. And that is what you need to
- 11:19understand. That is referenced here, verse
- 11:224, whereby when you read, you may understand my knowledge in
- 11:30the mystery of Christ. So Christ gave it to Paul to
- 11:34give it to us, 5 which in other ages was not made known unto the
- 11:38sons of men, as it is now revealed unto the holy apostles
- 11:43in the prophets by the Spirit. So go and search the Scriptures
- 11:48and you can see that this mystery was hidden prior.
- 11:54It is not a mystery that the Gentiles would come in to the
- 11:59fold. That is not the mystery.
- 12:02The mystery that was revealed to Paul is they would become a
- 12:06completely new thing. And that it is not that the Jews
- 12:10must become like the Gentiles, and it is not that the Gentiles
- 12:17must become like the Jews, but they all, Jews and Gentiles
- 12:23alike, would have to come through Jesus Christ to become
- 12:28Christian. And that is what is referenced
- 12:30here. 5 which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of
- 12:40men, but now is revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets
- 12:44by the Spirit. 6 That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs
- 12:49of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the
- 12:55gospel. The good news of the Lord Jesus
- 12:58Christ is that all can come. Every nationality, every single
- 13:09person, no matter how despicable and wicked, no matter how
- 13:14debased, no matter how incredibly far, no matter if
- 13:20you're literate or illiterate. The good news of the Lord Jesus
- 13:25Christ it is. It is for every single person
- 13:29who will believe will come to him, and that is what you need
- 13:35to know. It is not that all will come,
- 13:40but it is for every single nationality, every people group,
- 13:45every race, every background, and that is the good news of the
- 13:50Lord Jesus Christ. It is not just for the Jews.
- 13:54It is not just for the lineage of Abraham and they must come
- 14:01the same way as the Gentile, and that is through Jesus Christ,
- 14:06who is the way, the truth and the life. 7 Where have I was
- 14:14made a minister according to the gift of the grace of God-given
- 14:19to me by the effectual working of his power.
- 14:23So that is what you need to see here in verse 7 is that Paul was
- 14:27entrusted with this beautiful gift of grace.
- 14:30And that is what it's all about, friends.
- 14:32This grace is how we get there. It is a free gift.
- 14:37It is unmerited. We did not earn it.
- 14:40It's nothing that we did. It's nothing that we do.
- 14:44It's all of what he did on the cross for us.
- 14:48Jesus Christ, the author, He's the perfector of our faith.
- 14:52And Jesus Christ is offering to anyone who will come to him,
- 14:56honestly, anyone who will be clothed in his righteousness.
- 15:00He's offering eternal salvation to be saved from the hell fires,
- 15:06from the damnation and the eternal separation from God
- 15:11Almighty. But we must come through Jesus
- 15:14Christ, this carpenter's son. We must come through this Jewish
- 15:20rabbi. We must come through this
- 15:23obscure St. preacher. And that is why it is so
- 15:30offensive, because He did not come in pomp and circumstance,
- 15:35He did not come in His Royal Train, He did not come and usurp
- 15:41His authority. He came lowly and meek and mild.
- 15:45And He is the rock of offence to those who are in disbelief.
- 15:51And there are many. By their words they are
- 15:54justified, and by their words they are condemned.
- 15:58And there are many who are blasphemous against this Jewish
- 16:06man. Far be it from us to trample
- 16:13upon this grace. It is His power that is
- 16:20effectual, and it works in and through US Saints, and we are
- 16:25just the wild branch that is grafted into the natural.
- 16:29Never forget that the ethnic Jews are His chosen people.
- 16:34Period, End of story. You cannot explain it away.
- 16:38You cannot try to absorb the Jewish nation into the Church.
- 16:43It does not work that way. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac
- 16:50and Jacob and Jesus Christ is the son of David friends, and
- 16:58this is how we come to the Creator of the universe and it
- 17:03is His chosen way. But this is what you all need to
- 17:09understand is just because they were attached to the genealogy
- 17:14and the lineage of Abraham did not guarantee their eternal
- 17:21position. It did not save them to be a
- 17:26Jew. The Jews must come through Jesus
- 17:29as well and that is what is referenced and so many people
- 17:33get turned around on. But this replacement theology of
- 17:36thinking that God is done with the Jews and the whole land and
- 17:39all of Israel is nothing but a satanic attack.
- 17:45And it you can see it with Pharaoh throwing the babies in
- 17:49the Nile, and you can see it with Herod killing all the 2
- 17:53year olds. And then now you can see it in
- 17:58the 1940s whenever we had the Holocaust.
- 18:02And now you could see that His peculiar people, anytime that
- 18:08they are persecuted, it is a satanic attack, because the
- 18:11enemy knows that his time is short and his head is going to
- 18:15be crushed, and he's still writhing in agony, and he's
- 18:19still trying to work around his head getting crushed, but it is
- 18:24coming and he knows it. 7 Whereof I made minister
- 18:32according to the gift of the grace given unto me by his
- 18:35effectual power. 8 Unto me, who am less than the least of All
- 18:40Saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the
- 18:44Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.
- 18:48So here Paul is saying that he's not even worthy to tie Jesus's
- 18:53shoes, that somehow, someway, God chose him on the road to
- 18:57Damascus. It wasn't that Paul was thinking
- 19:00in his mind that he needed to be some kind of useful tool for
- 19:04Jesus's ministry. No, Paul was set out to
- 19:08persecute and to cause the Saints to blasphemy.
- 19:11And he was set out to throw him in prison and to kill them.
- 19:16And here God chose him. And he's saying because of his
- 19:19background, he is the least of all the Saints.
- 19:22And he's saying that somehow through God's wonderful, amazing
- 19:28wonder, working grace, that he was chosen to preach to the
- 19:33Gentiles all of the unsearchable riches of Jesus Christ.
- 19:38Imagine that, friends. Imagine how Paul was given all
- 19:42of these unsearchable riches that all the prophets of old
- 19:46long to see these days. And now they're entrusted unto
- 19:50this learned man, this Pharisee of the Pharisees, Paul the
- 19:54apostle, and he is making them known to us. 9 And to make all
- 20:00men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the
- 20:04beginning of the world has been hidden in God, who created all
- 20:09things by Jesus Christ. We see the triune nature of God
- 20:14in the beginning, whenever everything was being created.
- 20:17And he said, let us make man in our image, friends.
- 20:21And we see that Jesus Christ, everything was made by him and
- 20:25for him, and to him and Paul. Is given this wonderful
- 20:30fellowship of the mystery and it was hidden in God up until he
- 20:36made it revealed through the apostle Paul.
- 20:40Praise God tend to the intent that now unto the principalities
- 20:45and the powers in the heavenly places might be known by the
- 20:49church. The manifold wisdom of God.
- 20:52So all of the mysteries coming down the pipeline and being
- 20:56spoken of through Paul about Jesus Christ, this multifaceted
- 21:04personality of God, all of the attributes of God that is being
- 21:10made known to mankind so that we can have in the house and so
- 21:14that we can possess what is the plan for the ages.
- 21:18And it is all culminated in Jesus Christ, who is our
- 21:22salvation. He is our everything.
- 21:25He is the way to the Father. And it's all being made known.
- 21:30This mystery that was hidden prior is now being made known to
- 21:34us and we hold and we house the complete authority of God
- 21:39Almighty has spoken word here for us to come and to meditate
- 21:46upon and to marvel at friends. And verse 10 is showing us the
- 21:54grave responsibility of the Saints that we actually are
- 21:59examples unto all of the heavenly host of all the angelic
- 22:05host are looking upon us friends, and we are naked and
- 22:09laid bare before their eyes, friends and all of our actions
- 22:15as they are looking upon us to see how these lesser beings that
- 22:20are mortal beings that house the Holy Spirit, they house part of
- 22:27the triune nature of God inside of them.
- 22:30How will they behave, how will they act, how will they live?
- 22:38And we are examples unto all of the angelic hosts.
- 22:42And what a grave responsibility that is for mankind. 11
- 22:49according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ
- 22:53Jesus our Lord. So it is an eternal purpose that
- 22:57God chose to reveal to Paul, and it is through the Holy Spirit
- 23:06and it is all for Jesus Christ, every bit of it. 12 in whom we
- 23:12have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
- 23:16Think about it, friends, the church, the capital C Ecclesia.
- 23:21Friends, we are His bride and we wait upon the groom and Jesus
- 23:29Christ desires to make a spotless and He wants us to
- 23:33adorn ourselves and listen to what we have.
- 23:38In Christ Jesus we have boldness.
- 23:42In Christ Jesus we have access. In Christ Jesus, we have
- 23:48confidence. It is by the faith of Him.
- 23:54Jesus Christ gives us confidence, access and boldness.
- 23:59Friends, we are bold and our witness not shrinking back in
- 24:03fear. We are confident that he is
- 24:07completing the work that he'd begun.
- 24:10We have access into the throne room.
- 24:13We have access into the holiest of holy places.
- 24:16We can know that. We know that.
- 24:18We know that our prayers are being heard and our prayers are
- 24:22being answered in Christ Jesus. Praise God for these realities.
- 24:2813 Wherefore I desire that you faint not at my tribulations for
- 24:34you, which is your glory. So Paul here is a prisoner in
- 24:38Rome awaiting trial, and he is chained up to these guards, and
- 24:43he has a wonderful ministry unto the guards there in Rome.
- 24:49But he's letting us know, He's letting the Gentiles know that
- 24:52it is for our glory that he is apprehended because now he can
- 24:59it and he's not on the move. And he can sit and pin down
- 25:04these wonderful, wonderful high attributes and high regards and
- 25:14high lessons and wonderful eternal words inspired by the
- 25:20Holy Ghost for our building up, our edification, for our good.
- 25:26Paul was sat down and God desired for him to pin these
- 25:31eternal words that will last forever.
- 25:34Heaven and earth shall pass away, but not one of these words
- 25:37will ever pass away. Friends, 14 For this, 'cause I
- 25:43bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- 25:47Perhaps Paul knew the gravity and the responsibility that he
- 25:52housed with the Holy Spirit coming and inspiring these words
- 25:58for all of mankind and all of history to be glorified and for
- 26:04all of history to be pointed towards God Almighty. 15 of whom
- 26:12the whole family in heaven and earth is named is for Jesus,
- 26:16Jesus Christ, Yahweh, Everlasting, Yeshua, Hamasiya.
- 26:23And we know that Paul here is being inspired, and it is all
- 26:28for the glory of God Almighty. 16 that He would grant you
- 26:33according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with
- 26:38might by His Spirit in the inner man.
- 26:41Think about verse 16. Paul is asking that God through
- 26:50Jesus and dwelled by the Holy Spirit according to all the
- 26:54riches of God's glory, that He would strengthen us with might
- 27:01by the Holy Spirit indwelling us inside of our inner man.
- 27:05That is all of our senses hijacked, friends. 17 that
- 27:10Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, that you being rooted
- 27:16and grounded in love. That's what it's all about,
- 27:19friends. If we're just going around and
- 27:22we're just speaking all of the truth and we don't have the
- 27:25love, then it is not effectual. If it is nothing more than just
- 27:32us making a point and being right.
- 27:35But we don't change people's direction.
- 27:39Then what is it all for? It profits us nothing if we have
- 27:42not love. Friends, love covers a multitude
- 27:46of sins. And here Paul is wanting us to
- 27:49know that we must be rooted and grounded in this love.
- 27:53And it is by faith that we believe that we're in dwelled
- 27:56with the Holy Spirit and that Jesus Christ is the King of our
- 27:59hearts. It is faith friends, that takes
- 28:02a hold of his hem of his garment.
- 28:05It takes a hold of his righteousness and purity and
- 28:09puts it on 18 May be able to comprehend with All Saints what
- 28:20is the breadth and the length and the depth and the height.
- 28:23So he's saying it is incomprehensible, it
- 28:28encapsulates, it envelops all of the entire galaxies and
- 28:35universe. It is limitless.
- 28:39It's unlimited, friends. There is no cap.
- 28:45There is no end. It's love without end.
- 28:52Friends. It is God's unsearchable,
- 29:00unthinkable love for us that is scandalous, friends, because we
- 29:07have done nothing to earn it, and it is all his grace and his
- 29:12mercy that we can be housed with the Holy Ghost. 19 And to know
- 29:19the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be
- 29:24filled with all the fullness of God.
- 29:27That's what He wants for us, friends.
- 29:30He wants us to have His fullness and to walk in the Spirit.
- 29:34To not satisfy the lust of the flesh, to not have the pride of
- 29:39life in the lust of the eyes is not from God.
- 29:43He wants us to have the fullness of the Holy Spirit in dwelling
- 29:47us so that we can live the victorious life in Christ and
- 29:51that we do not have to be debased and reprobate, friends,
- 29:55that we can have victory in Christ Jesus.
- 29:59And it is love, friends, that is our weapon against all of the
- 30:06evil in this world. 20 Now unto him that is able to do
- 30:14exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according
- 30:20to the power that works in us. Now it is Jesus Christ that we
- 30:29put on, and it is the Holy Spirit that indwells us, and it
- 30:35is all for God's glory in the highest.
- 30:39And it is more exceeding and more abundant than anything that
- 30:43we could ever comprehend, anything that we could ever ask
- 30:47for, friends. And that is why it's necessary
- 30:50for the Holy Spirit to intercede it on our behalf and to make
- 30:54intercessory prayer for us to God the Father of the things
- 30:58that we cannot even articulate in human language.
- 31:02It is far beyond our intellect to know the mind of Christ and
- 31:08the will of God. And so we must rely on the Holy
- 31:11Spirit to speak for us when we pray.
- 31:15We'll end on 21. Unto him be glory in the Church
- 31:19by Jesus Christ throughout all ages, world without end.
- 31:25Amen. That is what you need to know.
- 31:27We are going to bust heaven wide open.
- 31:30We're going to be in the New Jerusalem.
- 31:32We're going to be with him in the thousand year reign, ruling
- 31:36and reigning with him. Friends, thank God, Hallelujah.
- 31:40And he said that the least in the Kingdom of God is greater
- 31:43than John the Baptist, who was greater than anyone born of
- 31:47woman. And we must be born of the
- 31:50Spirit, friends. And I pray that that is your
- 31:52inheritance. I pray that all of this is not
- 31:55just hieroglyphics and hogwash to you, friends.
- 31:58I hope that it is not a bunch of bibble and Babble.
- 32:02I pray in the Holy Spirit, I pray in the name of God, I pray
- 32:06in the name of Jesus Christ that you will understand the riches
- 32:11available to you when you put on the regenerated man, when you
- 32:16put on the blood of Jesus Christ, when you no longer have
- 32:20to worry about your eternal destination.
- 32:23When you can know that you know that you know that you know that
- 32:26you are His and you belong to Him and that He indwells you and
- 32:31you are full of the Holy Ghost. I pray that that is your
- 32:34inheritance friends, and when you have that you do not have to
- 32:40go back to your vomit. You do not have to keep going
- 32:44back to the ways of this world. You can have victory in Christ.
- 32:50I hope you've been blessed by this chapter.
- 32:52I know I sure have. What an amazing chapter in God's
- 32:58word. How incredibly blessed mankind
- 33:05is to have this chapter that we can go and we can read and we
- 33:12can meditate upon spending an entire lifetime on just thinking
- 33:18about all of the things that God has revealed to us.
- 33:27Stay prayed up today. I love you.
- 33:33So does God. God bless you.
- 33:41We'll see you back here tomorrow.
