- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with iHeartRadio.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Hey everybody, it's the almost famous The Ogs podcast. Bob
- 0:09Speaker 2: Guiney here joined by my lovely co host, the very
- 0:13Speaker 2: godmother of the Bachelor franchise, Trista Sutter, and today we
- 0:19Speaker 2: are very excited.
- 0:20Speaker 3: We are joined.
- 0:22Speaker 2: It's our Special Forces edition episodes, and we are joined
- 0:25Speaker 2: by a former Bachelor Nation superstar. I say Ali manno
- 0:32Speaker 2: neee Ftatowski in the spirit of how I say Trista
- 0:37Speaker 2: Sutter nay Wren.
- 0:39Speaker 1: So we are so.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Excited to have Ali on.
- 0:41Speaker 2: I have personally not seen Ali since we did our
- 0:44Speaker 2: Was it US Weekly or People magazine?
- 0:46Speaker 3: The Favorite Bachelors of All times? Spread?
- 0:49Speaker 1: It was either US Weekly or Life and Style.
- 0:52Speaker 3: I think it was US Weekly. Then, yeah, it was
- 0:53Speaker 3: a long time ago.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I probably I probably could conjure up a copy and
- 0:57Speaker 2: I'll pop it up on the screen.
- 1:00Speaker 3: But very excited.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I'm in the room that has all of the Bachelor
- 1:05Speaker 2: uh propaganda mem mesh that it just might be something
- 1:12Speaker 2: I could grab.
- 1:13Speaker 3: But we're very excited.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Ali came onto Special Forces with a force, no puns intended,
- 1:21Speaker 2: and we are very excited to have her on. So
- 1:23Speaker 2: let's bring her in ladies and gentlemen, Ali Mano, Nay Fedatowski,
- 1:28Speaker 2: Hi Alli.
- 1:29Speaker 4: Thcom, Thanks, how are you great?
- 1:33Speaker 3: Now to see you.
- 1:35Speaker 1: We're so excited to have you. We've been I think,
- 1:38Speaker 1: you know, but we've been talking to some of the
- 1:42Speaker 1: recruits and we got to talk to Q earlier. This week,
- 1:46Speaker 1: I'm going to be talking to Rudy, Bob, I thank you. Well,
- 1:49Speaker 1: maybe you can't be there, but Rudy and Billy will
- 1:51Speaker 1: be on. So we're trying to get, you know, everybody
- 1:56Speaker 1: to come on and talk about the experience because it
- 1:59Speaker 1: was you know, very I don't know what would you say,
- 2:03Speaker 1: intense and so, but what I want to get to
- 2:10Speaker 1: initially is that I, you know, everyone wants to know
- 2:16Speaker 1: I feel like and I want you to be able
- 2:20Speaker 1: to explain what happened in your experience when you had
- 2:25Speaker 1: to leave the show, because you, as with me, as
- 2:29Speaker 1: with everything, you only get to see like a teeny
- 2:32Speaker 1: tiny part of what actually went down. And so I
- 2:36Speaker 1: want you to be able to share your truth and
- 2:38Speaker 1: talk about your exit on the show.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:41Speaker 4: I don't know what you guys have talked about so
- 2:44Speaker 4: far on here, but like the it's just so mind
- 2:49Speaker 4: boggling and just saying, no, you get this so much,
- 2:52Speaker 4: how little like they show and how easy it looks.
- 2:56Speaker 5: As a viewer, like totally I remember watching.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Not easy, but I remember watching like the first season
- 3:03Speaker 4: in the second season and being like, why are they
- 3:06Speaker 4: like crying like it's there's not that hard now, And
- 3:11Speaker 4: then now that I've done it now, I'm like, oh
- 3:13Speaker 4: my gosh, you see nothing right, Like you know, we'll
- 3:18Speaker 4: get to the finger thing, but like the bee hive
- 3:20Speaker 4: when we were in that pool treading water. The way
- 3:24Speaker 4: I described that to like my husband Kevin and my
- 3:27Speaker 4: friends when I got home was like, it was so terrifying.
- 3:30Speaker 4: It was the scariest moment of my life. I thought
- 3:33Speaker 4: I was going to drown. I thought other people were
- 3:34Speaker 4: going to drown. It was so physically hard. And when
- 3:38Speaker 4: I watched it back, I was like, that looked like
- 3:41Speaker 4: nothing and it was so horrible, And so yeah, I
- 3:46Speaker 4: want people, I guess like when they're watching, to keep
- 3:49Speaker 4: in mind, like you keep seeing people like I noticed
- 3:51Speaker 4: on the show, like Landon Donovan. You know a professional
- 3:54Speaker 4: soccer player who's like clearly had some very physically grueling
- 3:58Speaker 4: things in his life, right, He's like, after we swam from.
- 4:01Speaker 5: The boat to shore. He's like, it's not gonna get
- 4:03Speaker 5: harder than that, right, get harder than that?
- 4:08Speaker 3: And that was and you know.
- 4:10Speaker 5: Minutes we were there. So yeah, I guess everyone watching
- 4:14Speaker 5: just like, keep in mind the show is so much
- 4:17Speaker 5: harder than it looks. I guess to say.
- 4:18Speaker 2: That, but I will say this, I think it looked
- 4:22Speaker 2: pretty damn hard. I was watching that first episode, and
- 4:26Speaker 2: obviously you know, I don't I don't talk to you
- 4:28Speaker 2: Ali as much as I talked to Trista.
- 4:29Speaker 3: We haven't talked in a few years.
- 4:30Speaker 2: But I know you, you know, and I feel like I
- 4:33Speaker 2: know you, and I'm watching the show and I'm watching
- 4:35Speaker 2: these people go through this stuff, and I'm just like
- 4:37Speaker 2: blown away at you guys challenging yourself like this, stepping
- 4:41Speaker 2: up to the plate and delivering.
- 4:43Speaker 3: And Ali, you, I mean.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Oh my god, you looked like you were gonna literally
- 4:48Speaker 2: you could have taken down Cam Newton in a given
- 4:50Speaker 2: second if you want to.
- 4:52Speaker 3: You look so strong she was.
- 4:56Speaker 5: When they sent me home, I was like, who do
- 4:58Speaker 5: I need to fight? Like, I don't care how broke
- 5:00Speaker 5: in my hand.
- 5:01Speaker 4: I was like, I was like putting me in part
- 5:04Speaker 4: of Camp Newon, like that's how I got so first,
- 5:08Speaker 4: thank you for saying that.
- 5:09Speaker 3: You look so fit.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Absolutely, and I wanted to say this too real quick.
- 5:13Speaker 2: What a difference between watching and again, we've interviewed him.
- 5:16Speaker 2: So I don't mean this in a bad way, but
- 5:18Speaker 2: interviewing Stephen Baldwin, you know, in the way that he
- 5:21Speaker 2: left the show and then you're like, no, I'm not going,
- 5:24Speaker 2: you know. And so I'm so excited to see where
- 5:26Speaker 2: they pick up because I don't feel like they've I
- 5:28Speaker 2: feel like they teased you leaving.
- 5:30Speaker 3: I'm assuming you know.
- 5:32Speaker 5: No, I'm gone. I mean, that's it.
- 5:34Speaker 4: And you know, I'm just gonna say I actually left
- 5:39Speaker 4: the morning of the third day. I didn't relieve the
- 5:41Speaker 4: night of the second day. So it's a little confusing
- 5:44Speaker 4: on the show. I think like for editing purposes, they
- 5:47Speaker 4: just probably needed, like you know, to end the show
- 5:50Speaker 4: on like someone going or something.
- 5:52Speaker 5: But I did. I did spend two nights there, no.
- 5:55Speaker 1: One for sure for me. Yes, no, you can't take
- 5:59Speaker 1: away from that for sure. Ye say it, speak it.
- 6:03Speaker 5: I said to the producers.
- 6:05Speaker 4: I was pretty I was very upset the next morning.
- 6:08Speaker 4: I was upset with the medic I was upset with
- 6:12Speaker 4: the producers. I was upset all around, right sure when
- 6:16Speaker 4: I was up, So what happened?
- 6:19Speaker 5: I actually don't know exactly when I hurt my finger.
- 6:22Speaker 4: I always up until basically I rewatched the episode last
- 6:26Speaker 4: night with my girlfriend who was out of town when
- 6:28Speaker 4: it aired. She wanted to watch with me, and that
- 6:30Speaker 4: was the first time I realized, Oh, did I hurt
- 6:32Speaker 4: my finger on the drop on the bridge? When I
- 6:36Speaker 4: was trying to crank like the thing the blet to
- 6:39Speaker 4: get me down? Mine was like twisted and upside down
- 6:42Speaker 4: like something weird happened, Like I don't know if they
- 6:46Speaker 4: do it on purpose where they put some people's carabineer
- 6:48Speaker 4: hooks on upside down and backwards. Mine were mine were
- 6:52Speaker 4: not right when I fell down, So I remember like
- 6:55Speaker 4: squeezing so hard. I'm like, so, did I hurt my
- 6:57Speaker 4: finger on the drop down or did I hurt it
- 6:59Speaker 4: trying to.
- 6:59Speaker 5: Get myself down? I actually don't know.
- 7:01Speaker 4: I just know what happened on that sometime during that
- 7:05Speaker 4: challenge on the bridge.
- 7:07Speaker 5: And I had a really.
- 7:11Speaker 4: I hate gloves kidding, I had some bad luck with
- 7:17Speaker 4: gloves on the show.
- 7:18Speaker 5: The helicopter challenge.
- 7:19Speaker 4: They gave me two left hand gloves, so one side
- 7:22Speaker 4: was like leather, on the other side had actual grip.
- 7:24Speaker 4: So that's why I couldn't like hold on once I
- 7:26Speaker 4: got up there.
- 7:27Speaker 5: My hand clipping.
- 7:29Speaker 4: When we got our burgins, my are rucksacks or burgins.
- 7:33Speaker 4: My burgin didn't have an one glove, so I was
- 7:36Speaker 4: down a glove. So it was two glove issues on
- 7:38Speaker 4: the show. And then the third glove issue was on
- 7:39Speaker 4: the second challenge where everyone had like, Trista, your gloves
- 7:43Speaker 4: they were like fitted black gloves.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Right, they weren't fitted. I mean, my hands are super small,
- 7:48Speaker 1: but still.
- 7:49Speaker 4: But everyone said like or most people who I spoke
- 7:52Speaker 4: to said like, oh my gosh, no I had.
- 7:53Speaker 5: Like new black gloves.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Good.
- 7:56Speaker 4: Well mine were like these like really old, crink brown,
- 8:01Speaker 4: way too big for my hands gloves.
- 8:04Speaker 5: So what happened when I come down? You see me
- 8:06Speaker 5: walk up to the other recruits.
- 8:07Speaker 4: And go like this, And that's because all my fingers
- 8:09Speaker 4: had fallen out of the gloves for the drop. So
- 8:11Speaker 4: that's what I thought the thing happened. So the medic
- 8:14Speaker 4: basically thought I went. Actually I never went to see him,
- 8:18Speaker 4: so the medic was coming in to check on people.
- 8:20Speaker 4: Poor Trista. I mean, you don't see this had a hypothermia.
- 8:24Speaker 4: I know it was so cold. Marion had hypothermia. Kyla
- 8:30Speaker 4: had a hypothermia and low blood blood sugar. We were
- 8:33Speaker 4: taking care of her in the barracks. Kyla didn't know
- 8:35Speaker 4: her name, she couldn't remember.
- 8:37Speaker 5: Who she was.
- 8:39Speaker 4: There was some like really scary stuff going on, and
- 8:42Speaker 4: I had the issue. I did not go to the
- 8:44Speaker 4: medic He came to like our barracks, and all I
- 8:47Speaker 4: said to him was like, I busted my finger. Can
- 8:50Speaker 4: I have somebody tape and some ivyprofn Like I just
- 8:53Speaker 4: wanted some ibuprofne because I knew I needed to get
- 8:55Speaker 4: the swallow under control. And he looks at it and
- 8:57Speaker 4: he goes come with me too, because I would have
- 9:02Speaker 4: hit it from him, Like I just I literally felt
- 9:05Speaker 4: like oh just a little little yeah, no big deal.
- 9:09Speaker 4: Like I went and did the Navy seal training. I
- 9:11Speaker 4: had put one hundred pound logs over my head. I
- 9:13Speaker 4: ran back and helped other people with their logs, like
- 9:16Speaker 4: I was not going home. And then he took me
- 9:19Speaker 4: in a thing that night night at night too, and
- 9:21Speaker 4: he's like, look you, there's a worst case scenario. I'm
- 9:26Speaker 4: gonna have to medically withdraw you. And I was like,
- 9:28Speaker 4: oh my gosh, no, please, please, please don't. And he's like,
- 9:30Speaker 4: best case scenario, it's just a sprain. He's like, I'll
- 9:32Speaker 4: look at it in the morning and we'll make a
- 9:35Speaker 4: decision then.
- 9:36Speaker 5: So I go to bed that night.
- 9:37Speaker 4: I'm very upset at the thought of even getting medically withdrawn.
- 9:41Speaker 4: But I go to bed that night, you know, have
- 9:44Speaker 4: a horrible night's sleep, like we all do. What is
- 9:46Speaker 4: it two hours that we get I.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Mean, it's totally nothing.
- 9:50Speaker 4: And so then they wake us up with like a
- 9:53Speaker 4: barrel in the room of putting firecrackers in it, so
- 9:57Speaker 4: it sounds like gunshots.
- 10:00Speaker 5: Oh gosh, it's terrifying.
- 10:01Speaker 4: I mean, you know, Tristy, we woke up that morning
- 10:04Speaker 4: in a really rough mindset.
- 10:06Speaker 5: It's horrible.
- 10:07Speaker 4: So then at that point they call us we have
- 10:10Speaker 4: to pack our bags really quick, and I'm taking my
- 10:12Speaker 4: bad hand and I'm punching my bag down to try
- 10:14Speaker 4: to waterproof it and all this stuff and running around
- 10:17Speaker 4: and we go out on like the parade square and
- 10:19Speaker 4: Rudy goes number four to the medic And that's when
- 10:22Speaker 4: I went into the medic that morning and they were like,
- 10:25Speaker 4: and the medic wasn't there. It was just one of
- 10:28Speaker 4: the DS, and he said, we're medically withdrawing you. And
- 10:31Speaker 4: I was so pissed off. I started punching the table.
- 10:34Speaker 4: You don't see it because I don't show it, but
- 10:35Speaker 4: I'm punching the table saying I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine.
- 10:38Speaker 4: And the medical I'm like, where's the medic and he's like,
- 10:41Speaker 4: the Medic's not here yet.
- 10:42Speaker 5: I'm like, so you're telling me the medic wasn't even
- 10:44Speaker 5: gonna look at it again.
- 10:45Speaker 4: So I was so mad because not only did I
- 10:49Speaker 4: spend another night there when I didn't have, but I
- 10:54Speaker 4: just I wanted the medic to look at it. I
- 10:56Speaker 4: knew it, I knew I felt in my heart it
- 10:59Speaker 4: was broken and like it was okay.
- 11:01Speaker 5: I just needed some tape and some might be broken. Yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Yeah, and it already had looked a little better in
- 11:07Speaker 4: my opinion that morning. But yeah, Ultimately they said he
- 11:14Speaker 4: was like, there's nothing we can do, like for like
- 11:16Speaker 4: this show.
- 11:17Speaker 5: People can really get hurt on this show. It's intense.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Like I don't filming in America because I honestly don't
- 11:22Speaker 4: think it's legal to film here what they do.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Yeah, well you know you see you see that when
- 11:29Speaker 2: they're showing like you like all you know, pissed in
- 11:32Speaker 2: the in the medical room and everything. Then they go
- 11:34Speaker 2: to you know this season on you know, Special Forces,
- 11:37Speaker 2: and you see you doing sit ups in the water
- 11:39Speaker 2: with the log. But you see that, you you know,
- 11:42Speaker 2: and I was like, that's why. I was like, no,
- 11:44Speaker 2: she must not go home. They must be just like
- 11:45Speaker 2: baiting us, like you know, and and I was. I
- 11:48Speaker 2: was so bummed when I found out that you did
- 11:50Speaker 2: go home because I could tell you had the drive
- 11:52Speaker 2: and you were you had physically prepared, and you know,
- 11:56Speaker 2: that was that was tough to watch when it's you know,
- 11:58Speaker 2: when you got your little vested interest. I I got
- 12:00Speaker 2: my best at interest in two people on that show.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Man like let's go.
- 12:04Speaker 4: You know. It's just I we had a big legacy
- 12:07Speaker 4: to fulfill, and I was like, this legacy really.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Did not achieve that goal. So I have to give
- 12:16Speaker 1: a little background. So, as Ali said, I haven't talked
- 12:20Speaker 1: a lot about the hypothermia on here, but the hypothermia
- 12:23Speaker 1: definitely got me. We talked earlier to Christy and she
- 12:26Speaker 1: reminded me that I was turning blue and lethargic and
- 12:30Speaker 1: all of these things, and it was really freaking scary.
- 12:35Speaker 1: And finally get back to the barracks where everyone was,
- 12:38Speaker 1: I was like delayed. Everyone was already taking showers and
- 12:42Speaker 1: eating and all this stuff, and I'm just like, you know,
- 12:44Speaker 1: moving along like a teeny little inchworm. And I get
- 12:48Speaker 1: to the medic told me to go warm up and
- 12:52Speaker 1: get some food, and so I walked into the warming
- 12:54Speaker 1: room and it's got three little stoves, and I just
- 12:57Speaker 1: like there were a bunch of people, including Allie, and
- 13:01Speaker 1: and I was like, I'm not even gonna talk to anyone.
- 13:03Speaker 1: I'm just going next to the stove. I was facing
- 13:06Speaker 1: the wall, like I just wanted to. You can't be
- 13:08Speaker 1: by yourself anywhere, like you just you basically can't, like
- 13:12Speaker 1: you're with at least one person all the time. You
- 13:15Speaker 1: have to be And I was like, this is my
- 13:18Speaker 1: way of just being by myself and just getting right
- 13:20Speaker 1: with my thoughts and getting warm. And I'm like, I'm
- 13:23Speaker 1: not gonna bother anybody. I'm already feeling like a burden.
- 13:27Speaker 1: And Allie was like, I hear you go, is that Trista?
- 13:31Speaker 1: And she came and sat next to me and we
- 13:34Speaker 1: just talked about what was going on. Foxy actually came in,
- 13:39Speaker 1: which Alli was like, Okay, I feel like I'm really
- 13:42Speaker 1: honored to be sitting next to you because they don't
- 13:44Speaker 1: come in the warming room like they're not opposed to.
- 13:47Speaker 1: And I was like, that's really sweet that he came
- 13:51Speaker 1: in to check on me. She went and got me
- 13:52Speaker 1: food like she was my caretaker. So thank you, Allie
- 13:56Speaker 1: for taking care of me. It meant a lot. And
- 14:00Speaker 1: then I went to bed after I had a mirror
- 14:03Speaker 1: room interview that they don't show, and then I went
- 14:06Speaker 1: to sleep and just was kind of at peace, and
- 14:09Speaker 1: we all wake up to the explosions going off, and
- 14:14Speaker 1: at that point, you know, I can talk about this later,
- 14:16Speaker 1: but at that point I was just like, okay, it's
- 14:19Speaker 1: my time. And Ali was still in it. She was
- 14:22Speaker 1: running around like getting like all everybody, all the recruits
- 14:25Speaker 1: were running around like crazy because you have like five
- 14:28Speaker 1: minutes to make sure that you have your your ruck packed,
- 14:32Speaker 1: your water is full, your you've got, you know, everything
- 14:35Speaker 1: that you need from the warming room if there's anything warm,
- 14:38Speaker 1: and so everyone was running around like chickens with their
- 14:41Speaker 1: heads cut off, like it was it was chaos.
- 14:44Speaker 4: And what people don't realize in those moments is that
- 14:48Speaker 4: we have a wet working suit, like so working gear,
- 14:52Speaker 4: and we have dry gear. So anytime we're in our
- 14:54Speaker 4: dry gear like what we sleep in, and they're like
- 14:56Speaker 4: out here in five minutes, you're like, oh, five minutes,
- 14:58Speaker 4: that's that's a long time, ny time. We have to
- 15:01Speaker 4: completely change and it's a lot like bill you know, fleece, undershirt, pants, sap.
- 15:08Speaker 4: You have to switch out everything.
- 15:10Speaker 1: So it's stressful, right, and and everyone was doing it
- 15:15Speaker 1: at the same time. So everyone has their stuff in
- 15:18Speaker 1: the warming room and it's like there's three racks, like
- 15:21Speaker 1: it's not a huge room and there's only three like
- 15:24Speaker 1: stove things, so you want your stuff close to the stove.
- 15:27Speaker 1: But Ali, I still I lost a pair of like
- 15:30Speaker 1: you know how you wear those biker shorts underneath. I
- 15:33Speaker 1: brought like biker shorts. I still they they couldn't find them.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I left them there. They got mixed up. I think
- 15:39Speaker 1: someone grabbed mine and I ended up with somebody else's.
- 15:41Speaker 1: So you're trying to get your clothes and like everyone's
- 15:45Speaker 1: scattered everywhere and it's not like it's labeled. It's all
- 15:48Speaker 1: the same. It looks all the same, and then.
- 15:51Speaker 4: You're so paled because someone steals your sock and you're like, oh.
- 15:54Speaker 1: No way, it's chaotic. It's hey yos like and that
- 16:01Speaker 1: morning was chaos. But she went out like I was
- 16:04Speaker 1: saying my goodbyes and handing like I think I gave
- 16:07Speaker 1: my watch to cam and my pillow to somebody, and
- 16:10Speaker 1: I think socks to somebody and a snack to land
- 16:12Speaker 1: in and and she's running around and still doing this,
- 16:17Speaker 1: and I felt bad because I was like, I'm so
- 16:20Speaker 1: at peace, and she was like, no, I don't want
- 16:21Speaker 1: to leave. This is not fair, And it wasn't. It
- 16:25Speaker 1: really wasn't. I feel like, you know, they do pull
- 16:28Speaker 1: you for medical reasons, and seeing your finger afterwards, you know,
- 16:33Speaker 1: like you should just shared a picture of how swollen
- 16:35Speaker 1: it was. Denise and I had both we were at
- 16:38Speaker 1: the hotel and we called Ali when we afterwards, and
- 16:45Speaker 1: we were just trying to talk you through being like
- 16:47Speaker 1: we just heard that they fought today, So can you
- 16:50Speaker 1: even imagine your finger could have been permanently damaged? So
- 16:53Speaker 1: we're trying to like get her through it, but I can't.
- 16:57Speaker 1: I can't imagine that, Like frustration because you worked so
- 17:02Speaker 1: so hard leading up to it and then to be
- 17:05Speaker 1: taken out by what was like you didn't even want
- 17:08Speaker 1: to tell them, you know, because it was your finger.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I don't know. It's frustrating.
- 17:13Speaker 4: So when they pulled me out, I saw Triss outside
- 17:15Speaker 4: right like we like saw each other for a minute,
- 17:17Speaker 4: and I.
- 17:18Speaker 5: Was so mad, Like trist Is all like, oh, I
- 17:21Speaker 5: just said peace.
- 17:21Speaker 6: Yeah, and I'm like, so I punched a steel door
- 17:29Speaker 6: at that point, a steel door with my bad hand
- 17:32Speaker 6: because I was trying to the producers.
- 17:34Speaker 4: I was okay, so my mid was broken. I'm like,
- 17:36Speaker 4: I think I might have broken it at this point.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Oh maybe that's why I was so swollen. It wasn't
- 17:43Speaker 1: from the damage from before.
- 17:44Speaker 5: I think it got worse.
- 17:46Speaker 4: I was so mad and the producers this is a
- 17:48Speaker 4: thing I will say. They felt so bad for me,
- 17:50Speaker 4: and they just kept saying they're like, Ali, we feel horrible,
- 17:54Speaker 4: like the ds even did, Like DSQ reached out to
- 17:56Speaker 4: me after. He's like, we really thought you were going
- 17:58Speaker 4: to make it far, like the D like he said
- 18:01Speaker 4: all of us like really thought you could make it
- 18:03Speaker 4: to the end.
- 18:03Speaker 5: Like we're so sorry.
- 18:04Speaker 4: And that meant a lot to me like him reaching
- 18:06Speaker 4: out and saying that gave me a lot of validation
- 18:08Speaker 4: that I think I needed, But the producers just kept saying.
- 18:13Speaker 4: I was like, look, I'm fine, and even after I
- 18:14Speaker 4: went to a welshy ar, they took me right to
- 18:16Speaker 4: emergency room because they wanted it, like that was in
- 18:19Speaker 4: my contract that like they tell me you got to go,
- 18:21Speaker 4: you got to go. And so after it ended up
- 18:24Speaker 4: not being broken, the producers then still were like back
- 18:30Speaker 4: at the hotel, they're all like, we're so sorry, We're
- 18:32Speaker 4: so sorry.
- 18:33Speaker 5: But the way it works, once the.
- 18:35Speaker 4: Medic says you have to go, there's nothing the producers
- 18:39Speaker 4: can do. So it doesn't matter if they want you
- 18:41Speaker 4: to say. If the medic says you have to leave,
- 18:43Speaker 4: you have to leave. And that's in place, from what
- 18:45Speaker 4: I understand, for insurance purposes, this show had not get
- 18:49Speaker 4: insured because it's so dangerous. They follow like extremely strict
- 18:55Speaker 4: safety protocols, and one of those safety protocols is the
- 18:59Speaker 4: medic and the medics decisions. So given that I know
- 19:03Speaker 4: there was like nobody had a choice, I'm still a
- 19:05Speaker 4: little bit mad at the medic for not coming the
- 19:07Speaker 4: next morning and looking at it again, right.
- 19:10Speaker 5: He didn't.
- 19:11Speaker 4: I think it's because we woke up at like five
- 19:12Speaker 4: am that morning and went to bed at three, and
- 19:15Speaker 4: he went to bed at like three to two. The
- 19:16Speaker 4: medic Like, that's the last time I saw him was
- 19:18Speaker 4: at like two am. So I'm guessing he like didn't
- 19:21Speaker 4: want to have an early call time at.
- 19:23Speaker 5: Five am before.
- 19:26Speaker 1: But yeah, yeah.
- 19:28Speaker 2: It was in his contract to get like a five
- 19:29Speaker 2: hour sleep night or something, you know exactly.
- 19:31Speaker 5: But I was so heated.
- 19:32Speaker 4: Like most people go back to the hotel and shower
- 19:35Speaker 4: and sleep forever. I went back, showered and immediately got
- 19:38Speaker 4: on a train to London and then an airplane home
- 19:40Speaker 4: to la.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, you were just done, I was.
- 19:43Speaker 5: I would like, get me so upset. I was like,
- 19:47Speaker 5: but I mean, I don't know, I'm like begging.
- 19:49Speaker 4: The producers to do a redemption season. I want a
- 19:55Speaker 4: redemption season. I want another chance.
- 19:57Speaker 5: If they do one and they don't include me, there's
- 20:00Speaker 5: to be words.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Well, you are so scrappy. I love it.
- 20:03Speaker 2: I you know, I've always loved your personality, but I've
- 20:07Speaker 2: never seen this side of it where you're just like
- 20:08Speaker 2: a scrapper man.
- 20:09Speaker 3: I think that's amazing.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Most people would have probably been like, oh, thank god,
- 20:14Speaker 2: I'm out of here, you know.
- 20:15Speaker 3: I mean I probably would have been like that.
- 20:16Speaker 4: I would do it again, not on TV, not get paid,
- 20:20Speaker 4: and just do it to do it like that's I
- 20:24Speaker 4: wanted the experience like I really wanted. And look like
- 20:30Speaker 4: just a I'm ten years younger than you, right, Someone
- 20:34Speaker 4: ten years younger than me is going to have a
- 20:36Speaker 4: different experience someone ten years younger than Like I know,
- 20:39Speaker 4: at forty, I cannot do what I did at thirty.
- 20:42Speaker 4: So I don't want to undermine in any way in
- 20:44Speaker 4: this conversation what you completed for yourself. Like, look, in
- 20:47Speaker 4: ten years, I'm not doing this, like I commend you
- 20:50Speaker 4: so much.
- 20:52Speaker 5: For doing you like you.
- 20:53Speaker 4: It's like my body just isn't what it was when
- 20:56Speaker 4: I was thirty, you know, And I'm sure you will
- 20:59Speaker 4: say to me, my body is what it was when
- 21:00Speaker 4: I was, you know, like you don't know like you're
- 21:04Speaker 4: there were you know the O g's for a reason.
- 21:07Speaker 5: Like our parts exactly.
- 21:11Speaker 4: Yeah, but you know it's so for me, like I
- 21:14Speaker 4: just I really felt I was at the best shape
- 21:18Speaker 4: of my life. I know from here it's only you know,
- 21:21Speaker 4: going to be harder to get in the shape.
- 21:22Speaker 1: No, no, keep up your hard work.
- 21:25Speaker 5: I know that's the one thing I did get from
- 21:27Speaker 5: the show.
- 21:28Speaker 4: I will say, like I'm obsessed with like physical fitness now,
- 21:31Speaker 4: like I love pushing my body to the limit. And
- 21:34Speaker 4: that's just not who I was before. I used to
- 21:36Speaker 4: work out like painstakingly before because like I wanted.
- 21:39Speaker 5: To look good. You know, it was panity.
- 21:42Speaker 4: I was like, I want to I want to look
- 21:43Speaker 4: good at my jeans, so I'm going to do squats.
- 21:45Speaker 4: Whereas now I'm like, I want to do squats because
- 21:47Speaker 4: I want to see how I want to do a
- 21:48Speaker 4: thousand squats and you know, ten minutes, can I do it?
- 21:52Speaker 4: Let's see, Like now my mindset has changed, like like
- 21:56Speaker 4: I have a pull up bar in my bathroom door
- 21:58Speaker 4: and my bedroom or am I bathroom that I had
- 22:02Speaker 4: there for the show because every time I walk into
- 22:04Speaker 4: my bathroom, I would like try to do some pull ups,
- 22:06Speaker 4: and I kept it there since the show because now
- 22:08Speaker 4: it's like I just randomly woild jump up on it
- 22:11Speaker 4: and like work on pull ups and like I love
- 22:13Speaker 4: that that, like love of fitness has stayed with me.
- 22:15Speaker 5: So I'm grateful.
- 22:16Speaker 3: That's awesome. You know, I think it was crazy, was
- 22:29Speaker 3: you know.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Trista had told me she's like, oh my god, wait
- 22:31Speaker 2: till you see Ali on the show.
- 22:32Speaker 3: She's ripped, and it was like it was you could
- 22:36Speaker 3: definitely tell that.
- 22:37Speaker 2: I mean, even when you guys were standing on parade
- 22:39Speaker 2: and I don't know why I noticed this, at one point.
- 22:42Speaker 3: There was like a side like swiping shot.
- 22:44Speaker 2: I think you guys were outside even maybe and you
- 22:46Speaker 2: were called to attention. You're all staying there, and you
- 22:48Speaker 2: were like rigid and like you were in it to
- 22:51Speaker 2: win it.
- 22:52Speaker 3: You could tell, you know, I remember that ang like,
- 22:54Speaker 3: oh my god, Allie's like great to kill somebody out there.
- 22:57Speaker 2: You were like, you know, I remember the whole sweeping shot,
- 23:00Speaker 2: and I was like, oh, you know, and it's just
- 23:03Speaker 2: crara easy because you know, I feel like I know
- 23:05Speaker 2: everyone on that show, even though I've never met ninety
- 23:07Speaker 2: percent of them, and you can see that they're tired
- 23:10Speaker 2: at least maybe in the way that ith you didn't
- 23:12Speaker 2: even look You didn't even look tired to me, like
- 23:15Speaker 2: you looked like you were as you're ready to climb
- 23:16Speaker 2: another mountain. Let's go, you know, I'll do this, I mean,
- 23:19Speaker 2: And that had to feel so good because you know,
- 23:22Speaker 2: you're being pushed to the brink of your of your
- 23:25Speaker 2: physical and your mental capabilities.
- 23:27Speaker 3: It had to feel so good knowing.
- 23:28Speaker 2: That, Okay, they're not going to get me from the
- 23:30Speaker 2: physical side of thanks cause I'm doing it right.
- 23:32Speaker 3: I mean, you had to feel that confidence.
- 23:33Speaker 4: I would think, thank you so much for saying that,
- 23:36Speaker 4: for you're welcome, that like means so much to me.
- 23:41Speaker 7: Yeah, I I could, Like when we were in the
- 23:45Speaker 7: water and people were getting hypothermia, like I wasn't even
- 23:49Speaker 7: shivering half the time because I.
- 23:51Speaker 4: Had trained in a thirty three degree coal plunge every
- 23:54Speaker 4: single day months, Like I was my body.
- 23:57Speaker 5: I can't even explain to you, like what a machine.
- 24:00Speaker 4: And it was at that point in my life, like
- 24:01Speaker 4: I'm not even close right now to where I was
- 24:04Speaker 4: then because of how I had trained, and I felt
- 24:07Speaker 4: so strong, Like you don't see but that that pool
- 24:11Speaker 4: episode where we're all in the pool doing the beehive,
- 24:14Speaker 4: everyone but five people went to the edge at some point,
- 24:17Speaker 4: right like because it was so difficult.
- 24:20Speaker 5: The people that didn't go to the edge was the Olympic.
- 24:23Speaker 4: Swimmer, the professional surfer Rody Jenner, who's essentially a professional
- 24:27Speaker 4: surfer like he served time. Christy Romano, which good for her.
- 24:32Speaker 4: She she kicked so hard she kicked a boot off
- 24:35Speaker 4: one of her book she did I didn't know, Oh
- 24:38Speaker 4: my gosh, what which I think ended up helping her
- 24:43Speaker 4: because she had one boot off then because those boots
- 24:44Speaker 4: when they can read.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Ready, Yeah, I guess.
- 24:48Speaker 5: That person was me.
- 24:49Speaker 4: I never left that And I can't even swim. I'm
- 24:52Speaker 4: a horrible swimmer. Like I just I really, I just
- 24:57Speaker 4: can't explain to you, like how you're like, thank you
- 25:01Speaker 4: for what you said.
- 25:01Speaker 5: And yes, I was in the top of life. I
- 25:03Speaker 5: was at that.
- 25:04Speaker 4: I was always in the front of the pack when
- 25:05Speaker 4: we were running. I just I was there. I always
- 25:12Speaker 4: said like like I joked after, I was like, could
- 25:15Speaker 4: someone just have Ronnie locked my finger?
- 25:16Speaker 5: Like, I don't know if you know Ronnie Lock.
- 25:19Speaker 4: Football player who had his finger like cut off mid
- 25:22Speaker 4: football game.
- 25:23Speaker 5: It's actually my friend's dad.
- 25:24Speaker 4: Funny enough, no way, yeah, yeah, you know, I don't
- 25:28Speaker 4: know if you know my friend Willa, but Willa her yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 25:31Speaker 4: her husband is Ronnie Luck's son.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that so funny.
- 25:35Speaker 5: But I'm like, why didn't they just Ronnie lock me
- 25:37Speaker 5: just cut it off? I wanted to say, and.
- 25:43Speaker 4: I wanted to be there so bad in the moment,
- 25:47Speaker 4: I was like willing to sacrifice my finger to say.
- 25:50Speaker 5: Like that's how I felt. Wow, I was like I
- 25:54Speaker 5: was crazy person.
- 25:56Speaker 1: No, I don't think you're crazy.
- 25:58Speaker 2: No, I don't either. I think like Trista says, she
- 26:00Speaker 2: was driven too. I mean, you guys were just in
- 26:01Speaker 2: a different mind space.
- 26:04Speaker 1: It's just it's just a goal. And when you're there,
- 26:07Speaker 1: if you truly want to be there, then you want
- 26:10Speaker 1: to be there. Like it's it's like, you know, you
- 26:12Speaker 1: want to go until the end. There. You know, there
- 26:15Speaker 1: are certain people who do this show in the past whatever,
- 26:17Speaker 1: and I feel like they just they come and they're like, Okay,
- 26:20Speaker 1: I need to stay for five minutes to collect my
- 26:22Speaker 1: paycheck and then I'm fine to go. But you know,
- 26:26Speaker 1: like you clearly clearly had a purpose and a goal
- 26:31Speaker 1: to get to the end, and to have that taken
- 26:33Speaker 1: away it's hard.
- 26:34Speaker 5: I would have given then my paycheck. I literally would
- 26:37Speaker 5: have been like, take all the money you're paying me
- 26:38Speaker 5: to be here and let me say. Wow, I love
- 26:41Speaker 5: that it was about.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Something that's saying something. Yeah, No, I totally get that.
- 26:46Speaker 1: What was the hardest moment, Well, never mind, we already
- 26:50Speaker 1: answered that what the hardest moment was maybe take away
- 26:54Speaker 1: the the finger in your exit. Prior to that, what
- 26:58Speaker 1: was the hardest moment for you?
- 27:00Speaker 5: It was the living conditions? Ah yeah, what I also
- 27:05Speaker 5: don't think people.
- 27:06Speaker 4: I think we, out of all the seasons, got completely
- 27:09Speaker 4: screwed with living quarters.
- 27:14Speaker 5: Our everything once smelled like manure.
- 27:17Speaker 4: Everything, Like I remember being in like the cars and
- 27:19Speaker 4: smelling my fleece and it just being manure.
- 27:22Speaker 5: Did you smell the manure? Twists up? Because Golden Tage
- 27:24Speaker 5: told me he didn't smell the manure. I'm like, that's
- 27:27Speaker 5: all I smelled.
- 27:28Speaker 1: I mean a little bit. But I really truly think
- 27:31Speaker 1: that this is because you're smelling it, because it was
- 27:35Speaker 1: put in your mind, because didn't a producer tell you,
- 27:38Speaker 1: like right before that our room had been full of
- 27:41Speaker 1: two feet of manure, like two weeks before me after
- 27:45Speaker 1: Oh okay, I'm like, well, maybe it was in your
- 27:47Speaker 1: head because it was planted there.
- 27:49Speaker 4: Maybe I have a good sense of smell because it
- 27:52Speaker 4: was like I remember pulling up to the place and
- 27:55Speaker 4: smelling the.
- 27:55Speaker 5: Fields around it just be like, oh my gosh, it's
- 27:59Speaker 5: so bad. And then like I remember just smelling it
- 28:02Speaker 5: all over my clothes.
- 28:04Speaker 4: And yeah, the living quarters we lived in, the producers
- 28:07Speaker 4: told me when we left it had had pun piled
- 28:10Speaker 4: high two.
- 28:11Speaker 5: Feet from animals living in there two weeks ago.
- 28:16Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 28:17Speaker 5: I believe somebody didn't go home with some sort of like.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Bacterial I agree, Yeah, I agree.
- 28:25Speaker 4: And like when we got home from that Navy seal training,
- 28:28Speaker 4: which looked like it was fifteen minutes on the show,
- 28:30Speaker 4: but it was literally like two plus hours of intense
- 28:34Speaker 4: training basically waterboarding is what it felt like when they
- 28:37Speaker 4: put us.
- 28:37Speaker 5: Back in that water. They After that, we go back.
- 28:42Speaker 4: And I was the first one to shower, and I
- 28:44Speaker 4: remember thinking, like, yay, I get to be the first
- 28:46Speaker 4: one to shower, but I so badly wish I was
- 28:48Speaker 4: the last, because what happened is I get in there
- 28:51Speaker 4: and everyone wants to get in. So I think I
- 28:53Speaker 4: had thirty seconds I came out, I still had clumps
- 28:56Speaker 4: of sand all in my hair.
- 28:57Speaker 5: Oh no, barely coming out. I didn't even get to
- 29:00Speaker 5: rinse off.
- 29:00Speaker 4: Really, I was so covered, like, and what I didn't
- 29:04Speaker 4: realize is that people were jumping in the pig trough
- 29:07Speaker 4: to rinse off first and so there's like a pig
- 29:10Speaker 4: trough there which smells and is disgusting, where they had
- 29:13Speaker 4: everybody jump in with their manure boots and then you're
- 29:16Speaker 4: supposed to jump in after them to wash off.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I mean, it was Bob's face.
- 29:23Speaker 5: In the toilets.
- 29:24Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, the toilets. We have to talk about those,
- 29:27Speaker 4: so I always, oh, they're porta potties. Yeah, they're gross.
- 29:30Speaker 4: That sucks that, like people are watching you pooh and
- 29:32Speaker 4: pee and like whatever, and not that anyone even can
- 29:37Speaker 4: go poop on the show. I mean it's I definitely
- 29:41Speaker 4: didn't in the days I was there, but I've heard
- 29:42Speaker 4: that people don't the whole ten days because it's just
- 29:44Speaker 4: so horrible.
- 29:46Speaker 5: But the seats were like splintered wood. It wasn't even
- 29:51Speaker 5: like nice wood.
- 29:52Speaker 1: It was like it was plywood plywood.
- 29:55Speaker 5: It was all splintered.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Like I remember being like, I can't even hit on
- 29:57Speaker 4: this with sand all over it and dirt, and I.
- 30:01Speaker 5: Think they must have had like the farmers that owned
- 30:04Speaker 5: the farm.
- 30:05Speaker 4: We were on using them for like a month before
- 30:08Speaker 4: we got there, because they were.
- 30:11Speaker 5: Very very hute. That first day, weren't they dressed up?
- 30:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it was not it was not like, you know,
- 30:18Speaker 1: it's not the fantasy world a Bachelor and Bachelorette.
- 30:22Speaker 4: Those porta potties made a ported potty on July fourth
- 30:25Speaker 4: in the middle of Times Square look like a five
- 30:27Speaker 4: star bath.
- 30:29Speaker 1: I was literally just gonna say, a porta potty is
- 30:31Speaker 1: way better, Like, you know, those were Yeah, they left
- 30:36Speaker 1: something to be desired, that's for sure.
- 30:38Speaker 2: I love that they've been like using them before you
- 30:40Speaker 2: guys even got there.
- 30:41Speaker 1: I'm sure. I mean, because this was like a working farm.
- 30:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I remember looking at it and being like, where
- 30:47Speaker 4: did all this poop and pecome from? Like what?
- 30:54Speaker 2: It was? No kidding, God forbid they dig a fresh
- 30:57Speaker 2: hole of you guys.
- 30:58Speaker 1: You know, it is forbid.
- 31:00Speaker 4: Even when there's like downtime, people are talking for two seconds.
- 31:03Speaker 4: It's like two seconds, so you're getting information and then
- 31:06Speaker 4: you're filling up your water bottle, and then you're making
- 31:08Speaker 4: sure your bergen's packed, and then you're switching at your
- 31:10Speaker 4: gear and making your stuff.
- 31:12Speaker 3: It was just never a moment, right, Yeah, yeah.
- 31:15Speaker 5: It was crazy, but I want to do it again.
- 31:19Speaker 1: I want to do it again. So this experience, obviously,
- 31:33Speaker 1: I know, being in Bachelor Bachelorette, like having the world
- 31:37Speaker 1: of social media. You know, people are not always nice,
- 31:40Speaker 1: and I know that in times. You talked recently on
- 31:44Speaker 1: Caitlyn's podcast about your experience with Ellen and feeling like
- 31:48Speaker 1: she was laughing at you instead of laughing with you,
- 31:52Speaker 1: and kind of that she made you feel stupid. And
- 31:55Speaker 1: then after this show, I'm wondering, like, I know, you know,
- 32:00Speaker 1: Ellen's not on anymore and you're not we're not necessarily
- 32:04Speaker 1: doing like those big talk show interviews. But how has
- 32:08Speaker 1: the response been. I mean, you can talk talk about
- 32:11Speaker 1: Ellen and that experience too, if you want to elaborate out.
- 32:15Speaker 4: Of proportion too, by the way, like the media picks
- 32:18Speaker 4: that and like, you know, I saw an article like
- 32:21Speaker 4: Ellen doesn't plan to apologize to Allie, which was like,
- 32:25Speaker 4: so stop, really it was some random article that some
- 32:30Speaker 4: I'm sure some random person like told that story.
- 32:33Speaker 5: Ellen hasn't Ellen doesn't care about me, like this is
- 32:37Speaker 5: not on her radar, Like yeah, yeah.
- 32:40Speaker 4: Ellen, Ellen's I feel horrible that I even re brought
- 32:45Speaker 4: up that like drama for her, because she's been through
- 32:48Speaker 4: enough in my opinion, Like I feel for Ellen, actually,
- 32:52Speaker 4: but yes, I didn't have the best time, but I
- 32:54Speaker 4: didn't know making that like one comment was.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Gonna like blow right.
- 33:00Speaker 4: I'm like, oh my gosh, I'm so sorry because I
- 33:03Speaker 4: I feel like sometimes on the meat with the media
- 33:05Speaker 4: stuff and you know the Tressan Bob you too, like
- 33:08Speaker 4: things can just be blown out of proportion or like
- 33:11Speaker 4: people can be dragged through the mud and it's it's horrible.
- 33:15Speaker 4: It causes you stress at home, and.
- 33:16Speaker 5: Like, yeah, and that blew up.
- 33:18Speaker 4: I was like, I really hope Ellen doesn't know about this,
- 33:20Speaker 4: because I don't want to be another person causing her.
- 33:23Speaker 5: Pain, you know what I mean, So like, yeah, that
- 33:26Speaker 5: that happened.
- 33:27Speaker 4: But but yeah, I mean with this, honestly, everything's been
- 33:33Speaker 4: pretty positive. I mean I try to avoid Reddit, like
- 33:36Speaker 4: the plague. I'm sure there's negative stuff on there, but
- 33:39Speaker 4: I don't go on there. I accidentally went on there
- 33:46Speaker 4: a while back, Like I someone asked me for like
- 33:49Speaker 4: my Instagram like Instagram website URL, and so I'm like, oh,
- 33:56Speaker 4: I know my handles ali dot mano, but let me
- 33:58Speaker 4: go look like let me couid. I didn't know if
- 34:00Speaker 4: it was like http dot w yeah, copy and paste
- 34:04Speaker 4: my Instagram. So I typed in Ali mano and I
- 34:07Speaker 4: was going to type in Instagram, So it just like
- 34:09Speaker 4: went to my Instagram on the computer, so I copy
- 34:11Speaker 4: and paste my URL.
- 34:12Speaker 5: And email it to somebody. And when I did that,
- 34:14Speaker 5: like Alimano weight loss.
- 34:16Speaker 4: Popped up, because that was like a thing because people
- 34:18Speaker 4: are like, how did you lose all this weight? Because
- 34:20Speaker 4: they didn't know I was training for Special Forces, So
- 34:22Speaker 4: there was all these like whatever, and so I like
- 34:26Speaker 4: clicked on it because I was curious. I was like, oh,
- 34:28Speaker 4: this is like one of the top things people are
- 34:29Speaker 4: searching about me. And then like these Reddit threads come
- 34:32Speaker 4: up and I clicked on one, and I will never
- 34:34Speaker 4: do it again. I will never ever ever credit thread
- 34:37Speaker 4: about me ever again. That the hate on Reddit is
- 34:41Speaker 4: so just horrendous, Like I feel one horrible for anyone
- 34:47Speaker 4: who's there's a thread about on there because they're like
- 34:49Speaker 4: almost all negative.
- 34:50Speaker 5: I would I mean maybe not, yes, one's about me.
- 34:56Speaker 3: Us.
- 34:56Speaker 1: I don't think it's just you. It's definitely not like
- 34:59Speaker 1: the I.
- 35:00Speaker 4: Mean, it's just it's just such a negative spot of
- 35:05Speaker 4: the internet. So I'm avoiding that. I assume that there's
- 35:08Speaker 4: a lot of and I actually think when I tapped
- 35:11Speaker 4: on that thread, there was like one comment that said
- 35:13Speaker 4: something like oh, yeah, she's I know she's doing Special Forces,
- 35:16Speaker 4: because it was like people knew before you know, yeah,
- 35:20Speaker 4: we're on it, and someone's like, oh, I bet she
- 35:22Speaker 4: goes home injured, and I at that point had already
- 35:24Speaker 4: known I went home injured.
- 35:25Speaker 5: So I was like, like.
- 35:27Speaker 4: Like I made me feel sad about myself and then
- 35:30Speaker 4: I was so unhealthy, like I will never ever ever
- 35:34Speaker 4: go on read a thread about me ever again. Yeah,
- 35:37Speaker 4: because it just it hurts your soul. And I know
- 35:40Speaker 4: I'm a good person. I actually think that I got
- 35:43Speaker 4: a really good edit. I'm Special Forces.
- 35:47Speaker 7: Good.
- 35:49Speaker 4: I feel like like I was worried that they were
- 35:50Speaker 4: only going to show me like crying about falling off
- 35:53Speaker 4: the bridge when I was upset about that, like such
- 35:55Speaker 4: a whim.
- 35:56Speaker 5: I was so strong and people see that.
- 35:59Speaker 4: And I actually think that people did see how strong
- 36:02Speaker 4: I felt and like I take care of others, and
- 36:06Speaker 4: like I was happy that that part was shown.
- 36:09Speaker 3: I guess, yeah, I think it definitely was.
- 36:12Speaker 4: I was upset that, like I felt that I didn't.
- 36:17Speaker 4: I was upset that your struggle wasn't shown in the
- 36:19Speaker 4: way that, like I felt.
- 36:21Speaker 5: That deserved to be shown, because thank you.
- 36:25Speaker 4: There was such a vulnerability that you showed on the show,
- 36:30Speaker 4: and it like those conversations I had with you. I
- 36:32Speaker 4: remember being in the warming room and talking to you,
- 36:36Speaker 4: and you were really beating yourself up in those like
- 36:41Speaker 4: you really and I remember them when the DS came
- 36:43Speaker 4: in and they were worried about you, Like I said
- 36:45Speaker 4: to him, like, see, like they care about you. And
- 36:48Speaker 4: then you know, and like I just thought that vulnerability
- 36:50Speaker 4: you had and you were opening up about how you felt,
- 36:52Speaker 4: like I thought that that would resonate with so many people,
- 36:54Speaker 4: and I was.
- 36:55Speaker 5: So upset that they didn't show that.
- 36:58Speaker 4: And you know, they can't show up everything, but like,
- 37:00Speaker 4: how do you feel about your journey?
- 37:03Speaker 1: It's hard because you know you saw me that day
- 37:06Speaker 1: when we both left, when we were doing like our
- 37:09Speaker 1: exit interviews. I was so at peace, like I truly
- 37:14Speaker 1: was just a piece came over me that morning. And
- 37:17Speaker 1: I've told people this that before we went on, the
- 37:21Speaker 1: night before I saw the number four four four, and
- 37:24Speaker 1: I love angel numbers, and I looked that up, like
- 37:27Speaker 1: what does four four four mean for angel numbers? And
- 37:30Speaker 1: it was like your guardian angels are watching over you.
- 37:33Speaker 1: And I went into it thinking, Okay, they're with me.
- 37:36Speaker 1: They're going to let me know, like you know, when
- 37:38Speaker 1: it's time or whatever. And I woke up that morning
- 37:41Speaker 1: and I just had this piece over me after being
- 37:43Speaker 1: able to have the mirror room interview, you know, and
- 37:47Speaker 1: kind of getting to that point and connecting with them
- 37:49Speaker 1: more on like a human level and sharing like who
- 37:51Speaker 1: I am really and knowing that they saw that I
- 37:55Speaker 1: was trying my hardest meant so much to me. So
- 37:58Speaker 1: when I went to bed that night for the two
- 38:01Speaker 1: or three hours that we slept, I was kind of like, Okay,
- 38:05Speaker 1: I'm just going to see how it goes in the morning,
- 38:06Speaker 1: like we're going to see what I wake up to.
- 38:08Speaker 1: And we woke up to explosions, and I was like, Okay,
- 38:11Speaker 1: I think I've learned, you know, enough from this. I've
- 38:15Speaker 1: gotten enough out of this experience. Yeah, exactly. It was
- 38:19Speaker 1: a sign. It was literally like, Okay, I think it's
- 38:21Speaker 1: time to get back to family. You have pushed your
- 38:24Speaker 1: body to the extreme and you survived and maybe the
- 38:29Speaker 1: next time you wouldn't, and so I think it's time.
- 38:32Speaker 1: So thank you for asking, because I do like I don't.
- 38:35Speaker 1: They didn't show me off the bridge, they didn't show
- 38:37Speaker 1: me like jumping to the helicopter. They didn't show a
- 38:40Speaker 1: lot of me, But that's not why I did the show,
- 38:42Speaker 1: you know. I did it because I wanted to challenge
- 38:44Speaker 1: myself have this once in a lifetime opportunity meet everybody
- 38:48Speaker 1: who did it with us.
- 38:49Speaker 4: It's also like not about other people you do it,
- 38:53Speaker 4: like yeah, for me at least, like I needed to
- 38:57Speaker 4: see me jump off the bridge, I needed to see
- 38:59Speaker 4: me jump to Like for me, I wanted to see
- 39:04Speaker 4: what I went through, Like I I was so upset
- 39:06Speaker 4: when I wasn't seeing you. I remember thinking about you,
- 39:09Speaker 4: like we talked about this on the phone. I was
- 39:11Speaker 4: like I thought that like.
- 39:14Speaker 5: You were not even going to see me.
- 39:15Speaker 4: But I was so grateful that I got to see
- 39:17Speaker 4: some of my stuff for my own healing process and
- 39:19Speaker 4: to know I didn't.
- 39:21Speaker 5: Like I want that raw footage.
- 39:24Speaker 4: For you, like I want, like te me, I want,
- 39:26Speaker 4: I want to just have that to see and I
- 39:30Speaker 4: think it's part of the healing process and like the
- 39:32Speaker 4: journey is like to see it back of what you did.
- 39:36Speaker 5: You know, so I think that's got to be hard
- 39:38Speaker 5: for you, like.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Not yeah, yeah, I would love that. I would love
- 39:42Speaker 1: the raw footage just for closure, just to be able
- 39:44Speaker 1: to show like I really did do this, like to
- 39:47Speaker 1: remind myself, I really did do that and I and
- 39:50Speaker 1: I did pretty well. I felt like in those moments,
- 39:53Speaker 1: you know, you said in the Beehive that you guys
- 39:55Speaker 1: were the five or whatever, and I literally went to
- 39:58Speaker 1: the wall like seconds before I think it was like
- 40:01Speaker 1: three four five seconds before they ended. So I really
- 40:05Speaker 1: surprised myself in that the bungee jump. I never thought
- 40:10Speaker 1: I would ever bungee jump, just because of my back problems,
- 40:12Speaker 1: and I did that and almost passed except for my
- 40:15Speaker 1: stupid grunt that I made, you know, so like, yeah,
- 40:18Speaker 1: I really would love to see their off footage, but
- 40:22Speaker 1: it is what it is. And you know, like I
- 40:24Speaker 1: told you at you know, when you were having a
- 40:27Speaker 1: hard time after the exit, was there's a reason. Like
- 40:30Speaker 1: we don't know the reason now and maybe we'll never know,
- 40:33Speaker 1: but I feel like there were reasons that our journeys
- 40:38Speaker 1: were what they were on this show, and I know
- 40:41Speaker 1: you feel the same way. I feel so grateful for
- 40:44Speaker 1: just the opportunity to have done it, you know.
- 40:48Speaker 4: Absolutely one hundred percent grateful for the opportunity.
- 40:52Speaker 5: I do think there's a chance if I had stayed.
- 40:55Speaker 4: That I would have permanently damaged my hand, like the
- 40:57Speaker 4: fact that they were by being that night.
- 40:59Speaker 5: And that's what the medic, you know, basically said. He
- 41:01Speaker 5: wrote me this letter.
- 41:02Speaker 4: And the letter said, well, it was a letter for
- 41:04Speaker 4: my doctor in Nashville because I went to a hand
- 41:06Speaker 4: surgeon when.
- 41:06Speaker 5: I got back here.
- 41:08Speaker 4: But it basically said, like my fear for you, if
- 41:10Speaker 4: you had stayed and punched someone with that hand, you
- 41:14Speaker 4: would lose permanent function of your hand, like.
- 41:17Speaker 3: Nerve damage or whatever.
- 41:18Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 41:19Speaker 4: Like and to this day like this, So this is
- 41:22Speaker 4: the finger that I happened to and I can't put
- 41:24Speaker 4: my ring over this finger anymore. So like my knuckle, Yeah,
- 41:28Speaker 4: it's something's messed up in my finger. If I if
- 41:31Speaker 4: I push on this knuckle, it hurts. So it is
- 41:34Speaker 4: there is permanent damage. It's not like anything to worry
- 41:37Speaker 4: about it. I can still I have function in my hand.
- 41:39Speaker 5: I'm fine. But there, you.
- 41:41Speaker 4: Know, I understand now why the medic did what he did.
- 41:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I just wish I had the rights.
- 41:53Speaker 3: The short end of the stick. With all the glove issues, man,
- 41:56Speaker 3: it can be a.
- 41:57Speaker 5: Glove endorsement.
- 42:00Speaker 4: Brims, so it can be like tired of gloves not
- 42:04Speaker 4: fitting well.
- 42:06Speaker 3: Try on these.
- 42:08Speaker 5: I'm tired of.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Try on these alley gloves made of real dealer.
- 42:14Speaker 3: So I have a question for you.
- 42:16Speaker 2: So I was reading about someone you just you just
- 42:19Speaker 2: told a story recently.
- 42:21Speaker 3: We were laughing earlier.
- 42:22Speaker 2: I was laughing earlier about how my son, my six
- 42:26Speaker 2: year old son, reacts to people knowing me from The Bachelor,
- 42:29Speaker 2: Like he has no idea what The Bachelor is, he's
- 42:31Speaker 2: never watched it. But like, we'll be at McDonald's playland
- 42:34Speaker 2: and trist I think I told you the story, but like,
- 42:37Speaker 2: I'll order, you know, two happy meals for him and
- 42:39Speaker 2: his little brother, and the little fourteen year old girl
- 42:41Speaker 2: will come over to deliver the tray and he'll be like,
- 42:44Speaker 2: he's the Bachelor.
- 42:45Speaker 3: He'll sign it for you. What do you want? Yeah,
- 42:46Speaker 3: he'll get a picture.
- 42:47Speaker 2: I'm like, he's in the playland, like he's yelling from
- 42:49Speaker 2: the top of the playland.
- 42:50Speaker 3: I saw a.
- 42:51Speaker 2: Really funny story about you and your son with respect
- 42:54Speaker 2: to him talking to Alexa.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Can you share that with us?
- 42:57Speaker 4: Yeah? So well, I posted this on TikTok a while back.
- 43:02Speaker 4: It's like my one TikTok that's going viral. I'm too
- 43:05Speaker 4: old to understand the talk. Same ye in my son Riley,
- 43:11Speaker 4: he's six, I think he was five at the time.
- 43:13Speaker 4: Maybe he went over to Alexa and he's like, let's say,
- 43:15Speaker 4: show me a picture of mommy.
- 43:17Speaker 5: You know, nothing comes up. Alexa, show me a picture
- 43:18Speaker 5: of Ali man Ou nothing comes up.
- 43:21Speaker 4: And then I think Molly, my daughter said something like
- 43:23Speaker 4: say Ali the bachelorette. And because my daughter's eight, she
- 43:27Speaker 4: knows that I was a bachelorette. She understands now. So
- 43:30Speaker 4: he's like Ali the becherette, and this picture of like
- 43:32Speaker 4: me and Roberto pops up, like right off the engage.
- 43:35Speaker 5: He's like, what's that.
- 43:38Speaker 4: It's like when your six year old son discovers your
- 43:41Speaker 4: on reality Oh my gosh, oh yeah, but now they
- 43:46Speaker 4: so and then the funny bar in the clip. My
- 43:48Speaker 4: husband Kevin then goes up to Alexa and goes and
- 43:50Speaker 4: plugs in and it's like, all right, kids, say bye
- 43:52Speaker 4: to Alexa. And the funny thing is now my kids
- 43:58Speaker 4: know that like oaking Lee, that that like affects him,
- 44:01Speaker 4: like my husband doesn't really care like I right right,
- 44:04Speaker 4: Roberto could be sitting right next to me chatting right now,
- 44:07Speaker 4: and my husband want to care. But my kids now
- 44:12Speaker 4: love to go up to Alexa and try to get
- 44:14Speaker 4: that picture to pop back up.
- 44:15Speaker 5: So they're like Ellie the best, right, Alli and Roberto like.
- 44:18Speaker 4: They're like, Alexa, show me a picture of Allian Roberto cute?
- 44:23Speaker 5: They like my husband by hearing that to him now.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Love it.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Trista reverse hazes me.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Not too long ago, we were in Tahoe together and
- 44:32Speaker 2: her son Max was there, and you know, I've never
- 44:35Speaker 2: heard Trista say anything like this before, so caught me
- 44:38Speaker 2: way off guard. But Max was like busy on his phone,
- 44:40Speaker 2: He's not really paying attention to us. You know, he's
- 44:42Speaker 2: like sixteen or fifteen at the time. And Trista goes, oh, Max,
- 44:47Speaker 2: do you remember you know Bob And he's like you know,
- 44:50Speaker 2: he's like okay, and she goes my ex boyfriend and
- 44:53Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, like.
- 44:55Speaker 4: Whoa hold on, dude.
- 44:57Speaker 3: You know, it's like a really funny moment. She starts laughing,
- 45:00Speaker 3: walks away, and I'm all stressed up.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Oh they don't care, Yeah, they don't care.
- 45:07Speaker 3: Max still doesn't care. Max. He run into me on
- 45:09Speaker 3: the street and be like, who's this guy? I have
- 45:10Speaker 3: no idea?
- 45:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I totally isn't care.
- 45:12Speaker 5: Well speaking and stuff like that.
- 45:13Speaker 4: My daughter and I have a have to have a
- 45:15Speaker 4: lot of conversations about what it means, like what thing
- 45:20Speaker 4: means right. Like she's at this age now where she's like, Mom,
- 45:22Speaker 4: are you famous? And I'm like, well, no, honey, I'm like,
- 45:24Speaker 4: I was on a show one so people know who
- 45:27Speaker 4: I am, Like I had a level of fame at
- 45:29Speaker 4: one point in my life. Yes, I have my five
- 45:31Speaker 4: minutes like I was like, but no, And she's like, well,
- 45:34Speaker 4: what does it mean to be famous? And I'm like, okay, well,
- 45:37Speaker 4: usually famous people are like on TV or in movies.
- 45:40Speaker 4: She's like, you were on TV, you were in movies
- 45:43Speaker 4: because I did one movie. But I'm like okay, well normally,
- 45:47Speaker 4: you know, famous people are like doing red carpets and
- 45:50Speaker 4: people ask for their picture and she's like, we.
- 45:53Speaker 5: Went to Taylor Swift.
- 45:54Speaker 4: She's like what she was like counting how many people
- 45:56Speaker 4: came up and asked for a picture and she's like
- 45:58Speaker 4: seventeen people.
- 45:59Speaker 5: Mom, you're famous.
- 46:00Speaker 4: I'm like, well, no, it's like this, and then she
- 46:02Speaker 4: goes no one talks about it, and I'm like, it's.
- 46:05Speaker 5: This weird conversation. Right now, I'm having with her.
- 46:08Speaker 4: But the reason I'm up is because then this did
- 46:11Speaker 4: not help my cause because then she's like, I'm like, moll,
- 46:15Speaker 4: you can't talk to kids about that and not, you know,
- 46:17Speaker 4: let's not talk about fame and it doesn't matter. Then
- 46:20Speaker 4: the special Forces errors, okay, and it's like sixteen celebrities take.
- 46:25Speaker 3: On, did I just got past this?
- 46:31Speaker 4: I know, I'm like, all this worked to try, And
- 46:33Speaker 4: then she looks at me and she goes, so you're
- 46:35Speaker 4: not a celebrity.
- 46:36Speaker 1: And smarty pants. No, I feel like you need to
- 46:43Speaker 1: just face the music. You were a celebrity ally just
- 46:46Speaker 1: gonna share that. And and I know that it's hard
- 46:50Speaker 1: because your kids are, you know, at younger, but you know,
- 46:55Speaker 1: just continue to have those honest conversations with them. And
- 46:58Speaker 1: do you know she's gonna call you out. She knows
- 47:00Speaker 1: how it is. She's smart, Riley smart. They're smart, they
- 47:04Speaker 1: know what's up. So I think, just doing what you're doing,
- 47:07Speaker 1: you're a great parent.
- 47:08Speaker 3: And at least you can just be ali with her.
- 47:10Speaker 2: My son thinks that I'm Bob the Builder or basketball
- 47:13Speaker 2: you can't figure out which one. Yeah, no, yes, it's
- 47:19Speaker 2: so cute, Bob.
- 47:20Speaker 3: I mean, i'd take that one for sure, six.
- 47:24Speaker 5: Year old eyes. That is a celebrity.

- 48:25Speaker 4: I wore them with dresses two events I was wearing.
- 48:28Speaker 4: I never took them off.
- 48:30Speaker 1: It's so amazing.

- 48:33Speaker 4: a dress because I refuse to put on heels.
- 48:35Speaker 5: I need to break in these boots. But anyway, that's
- 48:37Speaker 5: so good.
