Romero’s WBA Title Test Against Lopez | Boxing News
Rolando Romero is back in the ring this Saturday to defend his WBA welterweight title against Teofimo Lopez, calling himself a “boogeyman” and claiming top fighters like Haney and Garcia avoided him. He names Ismael Barroso as his toughest opponent — not Davis or Cruz — praising Barroso’s ferocity despite a controversial stoppage. Though he respects Lopez and calls him a friend, Romero sees this as a destiny-driven showdown, ready to prove he’s the division’s most dangerous threat.
