- 0:00New podcast Welcome to a new podcast.
- 0:02We said that the last one would be the final in the current
- 0:08version of the studio, which is true.
- 0:10It is. True.
- 0:11Here we are. We're this is a temporary
- 0:13studio. Although I I kind of like it.
- 0:15Yeah, it's not bad. I don't know what it looks like,
- 0:18I can't see the screen, so maybe it's appealing.
- 0:20It's not bad. Yeah, actually let me flip it
- 0:22around so I can make sure we don't have any technical
- 0:25difficulties. OK, now we're good so.
- 0:28It kind of shook. So do you like the settings
- 0:30still? Oh.
- 0:30Yeah, sure, sure. So anyways, tell me about the
- 0:35progress on the new studio that you're you're building out,
- 0:38you're kind of spearheading. Yeah, First off, I need my Zen
- 0:42cans right there and then second, I need my cup.
- 0:47I'm sure the audience is just very.
- 0:49In they're revited by this right now, yeah.
- 0:55So anyways, it's a, it's a work in progress, but it'll
- 0:59definitely be done by the time you get back from this little
- 1:02work endeavour trip. You're taking, you know,
- 1:062:00-ish out of three walls, almost complete.
- 1:10I wouldn't call them complete because it's still missing a
- 1:12little bit of wallpaper. What was that little giggle
- 1:14right there? Because they're 2:00-ish
- 1:16complete. So they're not actually complete
- 1:18at all. You know, you get, come on, pal,
- 1:21he's being needy. Come on.
- 1:23Up. Go ahead.
- 1:25OK. But I like where the theme is
- 1:29going thus far, the decor and whatnot, the colors and
- 1:33everything. Yeah, got to get a lot of the
- 1:35neon lighting up and unfortunately the room will be
- 1:41done, but still waiting on some, you know, Boning said.
- 1:44They're making a a neon sign for us to be able to put up in the
- 1:47room. Shout out to boning.
- 1:49They'll they'll go ahead and be the sponsor of this portion of
- 1:52the episode. Phenomenal Veins.
- 1:54Yeah. And you could actually buy Bo
- 1:57Disciples veins, both Blazers and alphas on bodisciples.com
- 2:04and I believe six different colors and with actually 2, two
- 2:09different logos. So you can get the Bo Disciples
- 2:11text or the logo itself across all the veins.
- 2:17And we got all sorts of cool colors, red, green, white,
- 2:20orange did. You get the new colors already
- 2:22up on the website. No, they're still not up.
- 2:24Yeah, so maybe I'll add that to the task list.
- 2:27Don't let me forget so I can put them on the website.
- 2:29But anyways, shout out to boating.
- 2:31And then another thing I want to touch on is because of sort of
- 2:36rearranging the studio, which is going well, but it's largely
- 2:41sort of unusable right now, other than my office space, my
- 2:44desk. But you're also building out a
- 2:48new section sort of in the corner of the living room here.
- 2:53Yeah, a nice Arrow station where you have everything you need
- 2:59including a mod. Saw you got a new mod Saul.
- 3:02Shout out to them for sending it for you to play.
- 3:04With hero clue how to use it, but I'm going to watch some
- 3:07Youtubes because I'm guaranteed there's probably about 100 out
- 3:10there that would tell me how to use the thing.
- 3:13But it looks, it looks really, you know, it looks good.
- 3:17Unfortunately, it is right in smack dab in our living room.
- 3:20But you know the price of condo life.
- 3:22But it's coming together. Well, the mod saws there.
- 3:26We do have to find somewhere. Paper tuner might just come up
- 3:31and go down, come up and go down.
- 3:32Because I'm not hanging that from my ceiling in the living
- 3:36room. No, it's I don't love.
- 3:37Archery that much? It's meant to go up and down.
- 3:39That's the whole purpose of it. Like it's meant to be like a
- 3:42quick. Release, yeah, but we don't have
- 3:43the stand. You know you don't need a stand.
- 3:46Josh has you. You do magnets from the like the
- 3:49ceiling. It's pretty simple.
- 3:51What do you get? A magnet to the ceiling?
- 3:52There's some metal strings. Or whatever you know you but.
- 3:55There's no metal in the. Ceiling, well, I know, but the
- 3:57strings you you you screw in to the ceiling and then from that
- 4:02strings come down. That Oh yeah, I'm not putting
- 4:04hooks in my in my living. Room you put holes in your walls
- 4:07all the. Time for decor.
- 4:09You do love decor, I do. Look at all these Knick knacks
- 4:12in the foreground. Yeah, they're fantastic.
- 4:14And it's autumn. It's fall time, even though you
- 4:16can't tell in California. Probably a bit too many Knick
- 4:19knacks. I bet I won't.
- 4:22But anyways, we'll go back to my Aerostand.
- 4:24So once we get back from, well, you'll get back from your trip,
- 4:29but then about the time you get back on yours, I think I have
- 4:32like maybe a week and then I leave for my trip.
- 4:36So once we get back from that, we'll start the aero
- 4:40experimentation. Good.
- 4:43Yeah, I'm excited for it. I think doing.
- 4:45Some lighting I think and whatnot over there, but.
- 4:47I think that'll be very good for you.
- 4:49You've always kind of been interested in, you know,
- 4:51fletching arrows cutting you. When she back in the day, but
- 4:56never to the point of like cutting my own arrows, you're
- 4:58putting in my own inserts. You're intrigued by Arrows, So I
- 5:01think it'll be kind of a fun process for you to take on and
- 5:06could also be some some, you know, additional content to the
- 5:09channel that we haven't really delved into a whole lot.
- 5:13And your broadhead penetration test really did quite well when
- 5:16the comments are very positive that people liked it from
- 5:19someone of your size and stature.
- 5:21And now you could kind of bring that to the arrow building a
- 5:24little bit. And who knows, maybe like we
- 5:26could do fun video idea where I want to try a different build
- 5:29and then you kind of put it together like it could be fun,
- 5:33you know, So we'll have. Some, maybe one day you build.
- 5:35Maybe, probably not, but. Probably not.
- 5:38But I can probably fill. Yeah, so lots of projects and
- 5:42new chairs, of course. Yeah, you love the chairs so
- 5:46much. I wish they were recliners.
- 5:48And also you do have an extraordinarily high furniture
- 5:52budget. Over the years we've been
- 5:53together, I can't even count the amount of chairs, couches, beds.
- 5:57I'll have fun once I like shells and I have these ones.
- 6:01I think other men probably know my struggles listening to this.
- 6:04Probably, yeah. So also we just did a double
- 6:08summit hike. Yep, Alby's over there dying
- 6:11right now. He's tired.
- 6:12That was fun though. Why don't we talk a little bit
- 6:15if you would like? We did actually touch on it in
- 6:18the video. That'll be out Sunday, but it's
- 6:19not out yet. Very fun. 3D shoot competitive,
- 6:2322 competitive battles in the video is very good.
- 6:26It's funny, 20 minutes, believe it or not, 20 minute video,
- 6:30Yeah, it's really good. But in the video we talked about
- 6:33it a little, but we never have on a pod, I don't believe.
- 6:36But you are down. You said 21 lbs in that video.
- 6:41Yes, I am. Why don't you talk about that?
- 6:43That's a big accomplishment because you are not, you weren't
- 6:47big to start with. So you percentage wise you've
- 6:50lost a lot of weight, so. Not maybe big, I mean you
- 6:57weren't within your. Eyes, you weren't 300.
- 6:59Pounds No, no. So you know how how to say it
- 7:06One, it's not an Ozempic everybody.
- 7:08I wish I'd be a lot faster and a lot easier.
- 7:13That's that's better to do. It yeah, yeah, it's a struggle.
- 7:16But no, at five, 1 1/2 inches tall, I, I, you know, I touched
- 7:24some weights in, you know, in college and whatnot that were on
- 7:28the heavier side for me, but nothing to what I got to.
- 7:31And you know, this is also my long standing relationship, you
- 7:34know, like I've never made it to four years before.
- 7:37Yeah. So basically you kind of.
- 7:38Yeah, I kind of just got lazy. Here's what happened.
- 7:41Let me, let me. It's kind of a phase.
- 7:42And then you can go back to your story.
- 7:44You were single, so obviously you got in good shape to court a
- 7:48man. Then you courted me and stayed,
- 7:50you know, stayed on it for a while.
- 7:51And then we dropped anchor into what I call the the complacent.
- 7:56Well, so it go, we'll go all the way back, but not really because
- 8:00like prior to coming out here, I had gotten ready for OCS officer
- 8:05candidate school, which I think I went into officer candidate
- 8:09school at about 1:00, low one 20s and I came out at 1:18, but
- 8:16gained a lot of muscle there. I mean, you do sit ups, planks
- 8:19and core workouts every day and then you run a mile and then I
- 8:23think once a week we ran 3 miles, but you ran a mile at
- 8:27least a mile every day. And so you just you do you know,
- 8:32if you go in relatively in shape, you come out really in
- 8:35shape. And then from there, it was
- 8:38COVID. And so I was going through as a
- 8:42junior officer going through, you go through a lot of schools
- 8:45in the beginning, after you get out of officer candidate school,
- 8:48that's more of like a training and then you go to schools.
- 8:51And for schools during COVID, you couldn't go to the
- 8:55classroom. So I was sent to Rhode Island
- 8:58for two months to live in a hotel and one class.
- 9:03We would go in the first class before I think COVID really got
- 9:07serious. We would go in in person for
- 9:09like half the day and then the other half you did from your
- 9:13hotel room and then the second class the next month, the
- 9:15entirety of it was from a computer in your hotel room.
- 9:21Government spent a lot of money. All those schools, just FYI.
- 9:24So you all know also exist in San Diego.
- 9:28So I could have just done it and stayed in my own home and not
- 9:31cost the government like $20,000 in a hotel fee.
- 9:35But nonetheless, they sent me to Rhode Island.
- 9:37So what else do you do? But like I did gym workouts in
- 9:41my hotel room every day. And so I came out of there, 2021
- 9:50or 2020 very in shape and then kind of held that for like a
- 9:57year or two till about I met you And I was probably and I was in
- 10:01the one teens when I met you and then just, you know, slowly over
- 10:07time fell off the bandwagon. Drop anger.
- 10:12Drop anger hard. Well, I think that happens often
- 10:17in in relationships and for I know it's more stereotypical
- 10:22that it happens to women, but it does happen to men as well.
- 10:24But I think that over a long enough period of time, you
- 10:30probably were like, OK, I I now am personally not happy with
- 10:37what I'm feeling like looking like, I'm assuming.
- 10:41Yeah, so at at my peak it was either 1:45 or 1:47 like that
- 10:53when it's not muscle 'cause I'm not saying that weight is bad
- 10:56for someone my height. I'm sure there are people near
- 10:59my height that do weigh about that, but they probably look
- 11:04like Dang bodybuilders because it's muscle.
- 11:07Mine was not muscle, so it was just heavy to carry around on
- 11:13the mountain on hikes. It hurt my knees to run.
- 11:18And that was part of a big part of, you know, prior to you
- 11:22through OCS and onward. It got to the point where I was
- 11:27probably running about 5 miles a day and between probably that's
- 11:32not good for my biologically bad knees and genetically bad knees
- 11:36and and ship life up and down and what not and boots for five
- 11:40years of your life, steel toed boots.
- 11:44They just got bad and so running was not really in the question.
- 11:48I think we're going to start to work into that.
- 11:50We could get into our challenge later and upcoming ones.
- 11:55But so anyways, about end of May, before we headed to Hawaii,
- 12:02I said this is too much, this is too much.
- 12:08And so that's when I quit vaping, which was a struggle and
- 12:14that helped significantly just in some weight loss like you do,
- 12:18you do inhale a lot of sugar when you vape as much as I did.
- 12:22And then it was just healthy dieting.
- 12:27I'd say the primarily just that, like I'm on and off getting
- 12:32better at going to the gym and doing exercises and whatnot.
- 12:38Way better than I had over the last two years, but still not
- 12:42doing it other than our challenge, not doing it daily.
- 12:46Oh yeah. So I like when people say like
- 12:50Diathong and do it. Oh yeah, fake news, fake news.
- 12:54I went. To 85%.
- 12:56One, yeah, 95% of yeah, 1:45 at the end of May will give or take
- 13:02a couple pounds, probably give not take 'cause it was for sure
- 13:06at least that to right now. I didn't weigh myself today for
- 13:11reasons, you know, Still nothing.
- 13:15But 124 was that 124.3 was the last day on the scale.
- 13:23So that's somewhere around 21 to 23 lbs down since June, July,
- 13:31August, September, four months, four months, the average is
- 13:36losing like what, a month? Would you say like 3 lbs.
- 13:42Usually a pretty good goal for weight loss like depending how
- 13:44heavy you start. For like 1 a week.
- 13:47Between like one to two, 2 lbs a week would be aggressive.
- 13:50So yeah, 1 LB a week. Yeah, so is that 4 lbs.
- 13:53And then of. Course, over time, that's gonna
- 13:55slow down. Four day, 1216.
- 13:57So I'm a little bit above average and that's just
- 14:00primarily from dieting. Like there's a whole not heavy
- 14:04nice, not heavy exercising or anything like that.
- 14:07And I'm still above average. Well, you know, diet, I mean,
- 14:11they always say like one of the old adages from bodybuilding,
- 14:15weightlifting is ABS are made in the kitchen.
- 14:19So like it don't matter if you're training your tail off,
- 14:23you know, that's that's all a diet thing.
- 14:25And your diet has been really good and it's helped me a lot
- 14:27too, because my training has always been on point.
- 14:31I, I love to train, you know, I love to train.
- 14:33It's just something that I enjoy doing and I need it in my life.
- 14:37But you, and you've definitely been, I would say probably 90%
- 14:42disciplined, maybe even 95% disciplined on your diet.
- 14:46And I would say, but you've helped me go to probably 8080
- 14:51percent, 7580%, which is really good.
- 14:54I mean, I would think about the shit I was eating before we were
- 14:57doing any, you know, any sort of watching our food intake and it
- 15:04was so much garbage. Chips and bread and pastas on
- 15:08the like. Just.
- 15:10So I guess to, to get into that, like just the basics of what is
- 15:13this quote UN quote dieting. I don't even like using the word
- 15:17diet 'cause I feel like it's such a sad word for like cutting
- 15:21your, your food and it's, it's a healthy lifestyle change.
- 15:26So like one I do not and I'd say I'm pretty much I'd say 95 to
- 15:3298% successful at this is no sugar whatsoever.
- 15:40I'll give myself that 2 to 5% in like sugar alternatives.
- 15:44Like if I have coffee, I'll have sugar free, you know, which is
- 15:49just like studio sugar free flavor.
- 15:51I think you have to preface that a little bit by like saying you,
- 15:54you ate a shit load of sugar, right?
- 15:58You had a whole. Love sugar?
- 16:00Because you were eating, I mean, pastries and ice cream and cold.
- 16:05And shit doughnuts. Coffees that literally are like
- 16:09a frozen. Coffee that yeah, I mean when
- 16:12you look at those horrible like, I mean just like you're
- 16:17consuming 1000 calories, which like if people are on like our
- 16:21true like bodybuilders and they're on a cut or something,
- 16:24they'll intake fifteen 1500 calories in a day.
- 16:27You're having that yeah while training, you're having that in
- 16:29just your coffee and not draining and that's 30 plus
- 16:33grams of sugar just in your coffee.
- 16:36No way it's just nuts. And like sugar was really my big
- 16:40kick was that was what I wanted to kick and what I contribute to
- 16:44the majority. Sugar in.
- 16:46I was like. Breads and.
- 16:49Yeah, which also were sugary pastries, AKA they combined both
- 16:53the carbs and the bread. So the second one would be the
- 16:57carbs. I'd say this one is where you
- 16:59could say I'm 90 to 95% successful now, which, sure, I
- 17:03could probably see just as fast of a weight loss continuation if
- 17:07I kept them out completely. So prior to like we go going on
- 17:12that hunt at the end of August, it was strictly Carnival.
- 17:17Carnivore's such a great like reset.
- 17:19Don't you feel like like if you're if you just need to
- 17:22figure stuff out and I still would.
- 17:24If you want your gut to feel good and determine what makes
- 17:28your gut not feel good, that's it.
- 17:30Do carnivore for a month. Yeah.
- 17:32And then start introducing things one at a time.
- 17:35And I what? I mean one at a time.
- 17:36I literally mean like have bacon in the morning for five days
- 17:40straight. You will know if you can have
- 17:42pork or not. For sure.
- 17:44And and I think that I mean even now I would call our both of our
- 17:51eating for the most part, I would call it carnivore ish.
- 17:57Like it's mostly animal products that we're eating now.
- 18:00Might we have some zero net carb tortillas with our stuff?
- 18:04Might we have? Might we have an onion or like
- 18:07some vegetables here and there? Yes, but I mean are we having
- 18:11any sort of sugar or bullshit? No, and honestly, I don't miss
- 18:15it ever. It's so weird.
- 18:16I never have the desire to go like have a cheesecake or
- 18:20something. Now, if I'm at a wedding or
- 18:22something and they have a cheesecake, well, I probably
- 18:24slam a piece. I might, but I have no desire to
- 18:27go to the store and buy that. Yeah, I just.
- 18:29Don't like today was supposed to be a cheat meal before you leave
- 18:34for the trip and I'm just, I'm just literally not interested in
- 18:37it. Like I'm not hungry.
- 18:38So I'm like why would I make a cheat meal just to make?
- 18:41A cheat. I think we might have a pizza.
- 18:43But we will have a cheat meal. But like, we're gonna go all
- 18:47out. And when's the last time we had
- 18:48a pizza? I mean, it's probably been 3-4
- 18:52months, yeah, we're gonna have a share a pizza, you know what I
- 18:55mean? So.
- 18:56Stuff like that. But yeah, things like that, like
- 18:58light vegetables mixed in and like we'll try to do like we
- 19:02will have white rice occasionally prefer to have like
- 19:07cauliflower rice, like keeping it just vegetables and meat.
- 19:12But I think you can live in at least a 90% carnivore diet.
- 19:16Like in the morning, you don't need to turn your breakfast,
- 19:20your egg, cheese and bacon into a bagel sandwich.
- 19:25Exactly. Just keep the bagel off.
- 19:27You just don't need the bagel. Have a zero carb.
- 19:29Tortilla and you will have more when you're intaking more
- 19:33protein and then this. Feel better too.
- 19:36Yeah. The third thing I would say that
- 19:39contributes to it, so I would go number one is the sugar cut
- 19:43completely #2 would be the the removal of most carbs out of the
- 19:51diet and #3 would be my water intake, which is key I think
- 19:57along with the protein for the energy levels.
- 20:01Like you noticed the other day when I said I had not had water
- 20:04all day and I have increased my water intake one hundredfold,
- 20:09literally. I used to have no water.
- 20:11I would have coffee all day long, every day.
- 20:14Now I drink two to three of these a day.
- 20:17This is 64 ounces. Granted it's filled with ice
- 20:20because I hate warm water. So I count it as like I think or
- 20:24no, this is 40 oz. So I think I count it as like 20
- 20:28ish because this thing holds the ice so well it doesn't melt.
- 20:30So I'm not drinking the whole thing.
- 20:32I'm just drinking the water in it.
- 20:34So I count it as like 20 oz and then I just refill it two to
- 20:37three times. I should be getting about 64
- 20:39ounces. So I'm still even a little light
- 20:41on my water, but without the water my energy level is just
- 20:49atrocious. I mean I'm needing naps by noon.
- 20:52Like it's just bad. And it I mean remember prior to
- 20:58May when I'm just like sleeping on the couch 24/7?
- 21:01And stand in bed all day not getting any sunlight.
- 21:06Yeah, no, for sure. I mean, it's, it's been, it's
- 21:09been cool. One thing, obviously I'm not a
- 21:11dietitian or anything, but, you know, and I know a little bit,
- 21:15just some shit I've learned over the years.
- 21:18But I think the quickest way that someone can lose weight, if
- 21:24that's like what they're trying to do is just lose fat.
- 21:27I think that if you are drinking regular soda, like the easiest
- 21:34thing you can do is switch to diet soda cuz it's got no sugar
- 21:40is no calories. And there are people that have
- 21:43these like soda addictions sort of like you had sugar addictions
- 21:46that are pound like 12 packs of sodas a day.
- 21:49I mean you're talking brutal for you.
- 21:52Whereas if you just switch to zeros way better.
- 21:56That's one thing. The other thing would be just
- 21:59try to always, it's such like a simple one, but try to whenever
- 22:04you eat out or cook at home, try to make sure that protein's like
- 22:07the main thing. Yeah, on your meal.
- 22:10Yeah, You know what I mean if you do those two things.
- 22:12Protein and water and water at minimum, the amount of protein
- 22:16that your body weight is supposed to have a day and the
- 22:20amount of water your body weight is supposed to have a day.
- 22:24You will, you will see. And if you can stick to it,
- 22:27that's the thing, 'cause people everything want, everybody wants
- 22:31it fast nowadays. I wanted it fast and, and I
- 22:33think 21 lbs in four months is very fast.
- 22:38The, the expectation to be what I want to be at by January 1st
- 22:41is now more than achievable. And then it's all like to me
- 22:47then just about like toning and things like that, 'cause I don't
- 22:49want to be a flabby old lady, but, but you know, even if you
- 22:52don't desire that, you just want the weight loss simply because
- 22:55it's like you think the mountain's just hard, but the
- 22:58mountain's just hard because you're carrying more weight than
- 23:01you need to. Like Head noticed it on this.
- 23:05He literally was behind us. And when he finally got to the
- 23:07vehicle, he was like, you were skipping behind James.
- 23:11You were pushing him. And, and I was like, granted, my
- 23:15knees can't do that for weeks on end, but the energy level to be
- 23:20able to do it, one is there and the stamina is better because
- 23:27I'm carrying 20 less pounds out there.
- 23:29Like that's half some of these people's weight pads.
- 23:32And you're probably a lot more hydrated, better hydrated and
- 23:37you're eating better foods. I mean, think about it.
- 23:39All that stuff adds up to being to being better.
- 23:42It's kind of interesting this pot ended up being sort of just
- 23:45like a, you know, health talk. But I think it's, you know, that
- 23:49shit's important for hunting or even for archery because even if
- 23:53you just shoot your bow and you want to shoot for a long time,
- 23:59you know, it's pretty wearing on your joints and you got to be in
- 24:02good shape. And joints, like, inflammation
- 24:06is huge for joints. Oh, yeah.
- 24:08And a lot of that bullshit we're talking about in diets like, you
- 24:11know, heavy, you know, processed carbs and sugars and stuff like
- 24:15that are terrible for inflammation, which is really
- 24:20bad for your joints. So I mean, that's not good for
- 24:23even just artery and then hunting.
- 24:25I mean, like you said, you're talking about hiking up a
- 24:28mountain for, you know, 20 minutes straight to get on the
- 24:33top and glass and then go hike down and all.
- 24:37And cross three of those same ones you know, and.
- 24:40That's what I'm saying like that's that's wearing on your
- 24:42body and and being heavy, heavier than you should be or
- 24:48need to be is all that's going to do is make it even harder to
- 24:54to do. Yeah, Yep, that's what I was,
- 24:57you know, ranting about it at the grocery store the other day.
- 25:00Comment below if you have any like Natural Home treats, I
- 25:06guess you know snacks that is not please do not leave in the
- 25:10comment peanuts. I freaking hate a peanut.
- 25:14I First off, I don't eat nuts other than and I haven't had
- 25:18nuts since this diet started. I do love pistachios.
- 25:20That's the only nut I will eat, but I don't I don't want to eat
- 25:25nuts and granola like I just it's always everyone's go to and
- 25:31I don't know why, but if you have anything else you have like
- 25:33you make it home. Beef jerky is good.
- 25:35Yeah, beef jerky is fine. I want to try dehydrating
- 25:40bananas. Lot of sugar I think, but but
- 25:43it's natural sugar at least. That's the thing though, like I
- 25:47want to get to the point where natural sugars are acceptable.
- 25:51Like back in the day people ripped bananas off the trees and
- 25:54ate them and they weren't fatty mcfat fats.
- 25:57That's probably not good to say. I don't care all that, that
- 26:04doesn't make me nervous. But like things like that, like
- 26:06D, I'll eat an apple, you know, if you want to talk about
- 26:09sugars, like I'll eat an apple that has natural sugar in it,
- 26:14but I don't. You go to the store and you see
- 26:17dried. We looked at them yet the other
- 26:19day and that's what got me on that rant is you see all these
- 26:23products on the shelf that are like 0 sugar or healthy snack or
- 26:28whatever. And you look at the look at the
- 26:30back of the two seconds to flip the bag around, skip straight
- 26:35down to the sugar section. And when you see 32g per serving
- 26:41of added sugars on a dried banana chip, that is insane. 30
- 26:48and there's probably four or five servings in a bag and you
- 26:51sit there and munch the whole bag.
- 26:53You just in took over 100 grams of sugar.
- 26:58Can you imagine for a banana you could have cut up and dried at
- 27:01home? You know.
- 27:03Just don't put the sugar. On it one thing that I, I don't,
- 27:07I think to me it really makes a food like, for example, like a
- 27:12snack bag, right? Like, you know, I love popcorn.
- 27:14It's like the one carb that I'll have relatively consistently,
- 27:18but popcorn has almost no calories and it has no sugar,
- 27:25right? No sugar, almost no calories.
- 27:26And here's what I really like about it.
- 27:29A lot of these popcorns that you can buy in the bags, they, you
- 27:35look at the ingredient list and there's literally like 2 to
- 27:39three things. It's popcorn oil and salt.
- 27:44Like usually that's it. I think that items that have
- 27:47fewer ingredients often times are the better choices than some
- 27:53shit that's got like 40 things. You don't know how to read half
- 27:57of them. Yeah.
- 27:58Like, that shit makes me a little nervous over time, you
- 28:01know, as I've gotten a little older.
- 28:03But. But yeah, no, I'm proud of you.
- 28:05I think you're doing really good.
- 28:06I'm down in weight as well. Not as much, but but yeah, I
- 28:11mean, I've been good. Yeah, I've been training, been
- 28:14feeling really good. And well, so with that we
- 28:17started this. I told What did I say on our
- 28:20trip? I.
- 28:21Think yeah, you said I want to do this when we get back, I want
- 28:23to do 100 sit ups a day, which by the way you have to do still
- 28:27yet today. I already did mine at the gym.
- 28:29But yeah, 100 sit ups a day which doesn't sound super hard
- 28:35but I also don't generally do sit ups so.
- 28:39Or just core workouts. No, not really.
- 28:41Not really no. So anyways, it's been good.
- 28:44I think I'm, I think today was my maybe my 9th, 8th or 9th day
- 28:48in a row cranking 100 and I I really.
- 28:51Haven't today we started last Monday.
- 28:55Today's Tuesday so Monday would have been 8 and today would be
- 28:599. So today's my 9th day.
- 29:01So 900 sit ups. Look at that just by adding a
- 29:04challenge. And for me it's great because I
- 29:06do it in the gym, you know, like I do it between sets or
- 29:11whatever. And then if by chance I'm not
- 29:13training that day, like right now, we got a Yankees Blue Jays
- 29:17playoff game on a sit down between innings and crank sit
- 29:21ups. And they've already gotten much
- 29:23easier from day like 2 to 3 till now.
- 29:27And I can actually see like a little more just like a little
- 29:29more tightness in my core already, so.
- 29:32You'll definitely see a lot less bloating when you do more core
- 29:36workout because you are tightening those core muscles
- 29:41and which is also beneficial for archery when you go to draw and
- 29:45tightening those core muscles. So I think it's going to be very
- 29:47benefit. We roped Ted into doing it.
- 29:49He's doing it at his own pace, but you know he's doing it every
- 29:53day and we started a little group chat.
- 29:55So I think accountability is always key, especially if you're
- 29:58someone who is not good, we'll just say it not good at
- 30:02accountability like myself. Like if I don't have a personal
- 30:06trainer telling me what to do in the gym, you can bet your behind
- 30:10that my gym workout looks so easy.
- 30:15Be home over there. Like with a 5 LB number like.
- 30:20Luckily you have me to hound your ass.
- 30:22Yeah, and even then, you know, it doesn't push the limits of
- 30:25what I I should be doing, you know, like 3 to 5 reps at like
- 30:29my heaviest weight. I'm over there like doing 8 to
- 30:3312, which is there's benefits to both.
- 30:36It just depends on what you're trying to get out of it.
- 30:38But. Yeah, set up challenge.
- 30:40Is right. So we're running that for 30
- 30:43days, yeah. Day 9 today.
- 30:45And then I thought about this because you were laughing back
- 30:48when I was doing my Pilates at home workouts about me moaning
- 30:52and groaning out here like we should put this on a live or
- 30:54something next month. We wanted to start a one mile a
- 30:59day challenge for 30 days plus 100 plus continue 100 day or 100
- 31:06sit ups a day, 30 day challenge. So what I think we should do is
- 31:11kind of throw that out there on a live or on a story or whatever
- 31:14and people can message if they want to join.
- 31:17And you know how you can start those like community groups that
- 31:21come in like a message in your inbox on on Instagram.
- 31:25So then. I like that.
- 31:28You know, we're one holding ourselves accountable by just
- 31:30putting in our own group chat, but by putting on there, we can
- 31:34help whoever else wants to join be accountable.
- 31:37And, you know, you could post videos on there if you're doing
- 31:40them or on the run or whatnot, or do them as a live while
- 31:43you're out there running so people can join in or say, like,
- 31:46hey, doing a run at 5:00 PM today, whoever wants to run at
- 31:49the same time, you know, we'll go live with it.
- 31:52Which sounds so, like Goofy, but I like the accountability of
- 31:57just holding the average Joe and Jack and Jill.
- 32:02That's sort of how everyone hold each other accountable.
- 32:04Yeah. I I.
- 32:05I like it I think. That's because they're such
- 32:07easy. We say easy, but like my knees
- 32:09suck at running nowadays, so that's going to be a hard
- 32:12challenge for me and I know that's a hard challenge for
- 32:16other people too. Well, and I like that it's like
- 32:18free and just anyone can do it. Yeah, just for fun.
- 32:21Like literally go to. You can watch me moan and groan
- 32:23while I do 100 sit ups and do them with me.
- 32:26Yeah. But yeah, super excited.
- 32:29I think it's been really good. And shoot, other than that, I
- 32:34mean, yeah, we shot last weekend.
- 32:35Like I said, that video will be out.
- 32:37You could see the results. That'll be out on Sunday.
- 32:40And I did, I did a podcast with Knock Performance yesterday.
- 32:49Great conversation. I would say he mostly stuck in
- 32:52kind of business and motivation on the talk, which I always
- 32:56love. So it was really good.
- 32:57That should be out, I think maybe when this is out.
- 33:00So anyways, head over to Knock Performance and check out that
- 33:04podcast with his name is Tyler. Good guy.
- 33:08We're the same age. So that was fun.
- 33:10And then I'm doing a podcast. I'm not sure if I want to leak
- 33:13this one yet. Maybe I won't, maybe wait.
- 33:16I'm doing a podcast in the Midwest though, so stay tuned
- 33:18for that one. And then?
- 33:22You're going to go meet up with your buddy Ethan.
- 33:25Yeah, we're going to see Ethan, Ethan Burnham, which will be
- 33:27fun. He just got his stuff stolen at
- 33:30camp, which is a real bummer. What a bunch of bastards.
- 33:33But that'll be fun. And then I come back from that
- 33:37and you you'll head off. Yeah.
- 33:40I got that a week, just do some pheasant hunting as we've talked
- 33:43about and some deer hunting. So it'll be fun.
- 33:45And just applied to a couple of states to hunt in the guess we'd
- 33:51call it winter, fall, something like that.
- 33:55So, you know, but but yeah, stuff's exciting.
- 33:59Stuff's really exciting right now.
- 34:02Yeah, finally coming to a post the end of October, a nice
- 34:07little low. Unless we get to go to NASCAR,
- 34:11which I'm really crossing my fingers for.
- 34:14Oh and I also saw check this out.
- 34:16So NASCAR I think is the 9th. Of November.
- 34:21I think Aldean is playing a show right there.
- 34:24The 8th, like right nearby could do both.
- 34:30We could. Could do both, could do I won't
- 34:33have any tall boys that either. Oh.
- 34:35That's the other one. When we go back to dieting real
- 34:38quick, my alcohol intake has become next to 0.
- 34:42It's basically zero. It's basically 0.
- 34:47I my favorite drink of choice is Jack and Coke and that's so much
- 34:51sugar. So any dark liquor mixed with
- 34:53Coke, obviously I can do Diet Coke, but the, the Jack's still
- 34:58not good for you. So, you know, my that basically
- 35:03cut my drinking down to nothing, which is another factor.
- 35:09So we could say 4, you know, and sugar gone, carbs next to 0,
- 35:15water intake increase completely, no alcohol.
- 35:21Yeah, I mean, and you can live just as fun of a life.
- 35:23Oh, sure, sure you can. Yeah, absolutely.
- 35:26That's that's facts. I mean, even me, I've reduced
- 35:28like the my intake a lot this year and I'm going to do more,
- 35:32more of a reduction next year. But I still love to tie one on
- 35:35and have fun. Don't get me wrong.
- 35:37But you, like you said, you could have fun without booze as
- 35:39well. So it's just like it is what it
- 35:42is. Everyone likes different shit,
- 35:44you know. But all things considered,
- 35:47again, shout out to boning, this week's sponsor along with
- 35:52podiumarcher.com. Or you can, it's hunting season
- 35:56and almost everywhere other than kind of work, I guess it's
- 35:59season here, but it's not the same as whitetail season where
- 36:02it's like everybody's in the trees.
- 36:04So yeah, if you need any gear, I mean any archery gear, head to
- 36:07podiumarcher.com. Use code team BD.
