- 0:11Speaker 1: God bless football.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Mike, Yay, God bless football, Taylor.
- 0:17Speaker 3: God blessed football?
- 0:18Speaker 4: Is he god bless football?
- 0:20Speaker 2: Sto?
- 0:21Speaker 1: Yeah, Well listen, First off, is he welcome to God
- 0:27Speaker 1: bless football?
- 0:29Speaker 2: And secondly, Teylor what the fuck was that?
- 0:32Speaker 5: Man?
- 0:33Speaker 2: Nothing?
- 0:34Speaker 6: I mean, so I'm a little depressed. I know this
- 0:36Speaker 6: is God blessed football. But Max Fred left the Yankee
- 0:39Speaker 6: game yesterday after three innings with a sore Elboy, it's not.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Looking good for him, right, all right, so you did
- 0:45Speaker 2: add on that.
- 0:45Speaker 1: But the Knicks are in the Eastern Conference finals, just
- 0:47Speaker 1: waiting around for you know, pistons and calves.
- 0:49Speaker 2: You should be happy. This should be a happy time
- 0:51Speaker 2: for you.
- 0:51Speaker 1: God bless the next there's a podcast I go I'd
- 0:56Speaker 1: go on to Kyle Long is going to join us
- 1:00Speaker 1: towards the end of this episode of looking forward to
- 1:02Speaker 1: speaking with him. We are friends with his brother Chris Long.
- 1:05Speaker 1: We will get to that in a little bit.
- 1:08Speaker 2: But is he.
- 1:08Speaker 1: I can't imagine anything, and I mean anything on the
- 1:12Speaker 1: planet interest.
- 1:14Speaker 2: You less than schedule release day in the NFL. Wow,
- 1:20Speaker 2: there's a few things.
- 1:21Speaker 7: There's a few things in sports that interest me less,
- 1:23Speaker 7: like pitchers and catchers reporting.
- 1:27Speaker 4: As a handful of things.
- 1:29Speaker 7: Recently, NFL teams made it slightly better than zero when
- 1:33Speaker 7: they put out these funny videos and yeah, I.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Remember I watched, I rewatched it. Titans released videos.
- 1:41Speaker 7: He knows which teams is which, except of course for
- 1:43Speaker 7: the Tennessee Titans.
- 1:44Speaker 1: But by the way, speaking of the Titans, Mike, you
- 1:46Speaker 1: said yesterday Jets Titans Week one, Robert Sala revenge game,
- 1:50Speaker 1: and he was right. It is Jets and Titans Week one.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Again that no one cares about. No one cares about
- 1:54Speaker 1: his revenge.
- 1:55Speaker 8: I mean, so it's it's interesting you bring that up
- 1:57Speaker 8: because I have a question for Taylor about that that
- 2:00Speaker 8: particular game. Taylor, is this the rare Week one must
- 2:05Speaker 8: win game or become a laughing stock?
- 2:08Speaker 2: Wow?
- 2:09Speaker 1: The Commissioner of Sports, Just so you know, I've made
- 2:11Speaker 1: him the Commissioner of sports.
- 2:13Speaker 2: He u He eliminates teams.
- 2:14Speaker 1: From from postseason contention in the Major League fourteen games
- 2:19Speaker 1: into the season. He is the ruler of all fakes sports.
- 2:22Speaker 1: That's why Mikey's asking him.
- 2:23Speaker 3: So, Mikey, bring that, bring that back to my table.
- 2:26Speaker 3: What what is the ruling?
- 2:27Speaker 8: Okay, so it's Jets at Titans Week one Jets facing
- 2:31Speaker 8: Robert Sala. Okay, is it the rare Week one must
- 2:36Speaker 8: win game or become a laughing stock.
- 2:39Speaker 6: So this is my approved stamp. I'm taking that. I
- 2:42Speaker 6: see the filing.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Approved.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Wow, I mean a fake that he had a fake
- 2:47Speaker 1: pen and a fake piece of paper and now he's got.
- 2:49Speaker 2: A fake stamp and a fake thing that he's stamping
- 2:51Speaker 2: it on, which is.
- 2:52Speaker 7: Steadying because he holds the stamp the way you should
- 2:55Speaker 7: a penner pencil, and he holds the penner pencil the
- 2:57Speaker 7: way you.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Should have stamped.
- 2:59Speaker 4: But you know it's neither here nor there.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Taylor put it on the poll.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Does anyone care about Robert Sala's revenge? Because I aint
- 3:08Speaker 1: that no one was. I don't think we were done
- 3:10Speaker 1: with Is these thoughts on schedule release? Where were you?
- 3:12Speaker 5: No?
- 3:12Speaker 2: Well?
- 3:13Speaker 7: Almost, because I had a question for you guys, because
- 3:16Speaker 7: they now have a Thanksgiving Eve game?
- 3:20Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 3:21Speaker 4: Is this the first of its kind?
- 3:23Speaker 5: It is the first of its kind.
- 3:24Speaker 7: Do you think the NFL is trying to create another holiday?
- 3:28Speaker 7: Because I don't know when Christmas Eve started, but it's
- 3:32Speaker 7: not Christmas. It's the day before Christmas? So why was
- 3:35Speaker 7: that a holiday?
- 3:35Speaker 2: In our minds?
- 3:36Speaker 7: I feel like thirty years from now, we're going to
- 3:38Speaker 7: look back to twenty twenty six and say, yeah, the
- 3:41Speaker 7: NFL they started this Thanksgiving Eve thing.
- 3:43Speaker 6: Correct me if I'm wrong, though, Thanksgiving Eve is a
- 3:47Speaker 6: pretty big holiday where you go out to your hometown bars.
- 3:50Speaker 6: I think this is a day where the NFL is
- 3:52Speaker 6: seeing that people are already gathering and if you put
- 3:55Speaker 6: football on, they're already at bars.
- 3:57Speaker 2: They're gonna watch these No, it's a big day. It is.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Everyone knows. Wednesday night, go out, get hammered, you can
- 4:03Speaker 2: sleep in.
- 4:04Speaker 1: You're gonna have You're gonna watch football and any turkey
- 4:07Speaker 1: for for the remainder of the day. I think what
- 4:08Speaker 1: is he is saying, though, is it doesn't have an
- 4:10Speaker 1: official tight.
- 4:13Speaker 5: They'll give it one.
- 4:13Speaker 8: They'll give it one and and honestly, the NFL came
- 4:17Speaker 8: out swinging. I don't know, Stu, have you seen what
- 4:20Speaker 8: the Thanksgiving schedule, the Thanksgiving week schedule is Because the
- 4:25Speaker 8: NFL went big and they did it. Also, Okay, okay,
- 4:29Speaker 8: Thanksgiving Eve Packers at Rams.
- 4:33Speaker 2: That's big.
- 4:36Speaker 5: Game.
- 4:36Speaker 1: That's a good game on a Wednesday. Wait and Wednesday
- 4:42Speaker 1: or they they have to be playing. They get a
- 4:44Speaker 1: bye week before.
- 4:44Speaker 8: Right, My guess is they have a bye week the
- 4:46Speaker 8: week before, or they'll play Thursday night the week before.
- 4:49Speaker 5: Something like that. Anything.
- 4:52Speaker 8: Yeah, then you get to Thanksgiving. Okay, you wake up,
- 4:55Speaker 8: you start your day.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Because it's huge holiday where everybody gets wasted.
- 5:01Speaker 5: I did not know this.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Yes, Bears go out, you go out, you get hammered,
- 5:06Speaker 1: you sleep in, you wake up to what Mikey, what's
- 5:08Speaker 1: the first game?
- 5:09Speaker 5: Bears at Lions?
- 5:10Speaker 2: Bears?
- 5:11Speaker 5: Wow?
- 5:12Speaker 1: Wow, Wow, that's football. That's I mean really, Bears and
- 5:17Speaker 1: Lions put it on the pole tailor.
- 5:20Speaker 7: But this is where the schedule release gets me, Like,
- 5:23Speaker 7: would you be shocked if the Lions were terrible this year?
- 5:26Speaker 2: No?
- 5:27Speaker 1: And I wouldn't be shocked if the Lions made it
- 5:28Speaker 1: to the Super Bowl this year.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Yeah, they got us.
- 5:32Speaker 2: You're right.
- 5:33Speaker 1: The Bears are my super Bowl team out of the NFC,
- 5:35Speaker 1: they are. Yes, I'm announcing it now.
- 5:37Speaker 8: Okay, uh, your your your middle of the your mid
- 5:41Speaker 8: game on Thanksgiving Eagles at Cowboys.
- 5:45Speaker 2: You're right, that is mid Yeah, the NFL went big. Yeah.
- 5:49Speaker 8: Well, listen, everybody needs time to be with family and
- 5:52Speaker 8: sit down and eat and just have one eye on
- 5:53Speaker 8: the on the television because Sunday night.
- 5:56Speaker 5: Because Thursday night Chiefs at Bills.
- 6:00Speaker 7: Oh wow, oh oh wow, oh wow. Alright, NFL settle down.
- 6:05Speaker 7: This is why I'm telling you this is going to
- 6:07Speaker 7: be a new holiday. Because this we're gonna look back
- 6:10Speaker 7: and say, what a ridiculous great, ridiculously great week of games.
- 6:14Speaker 7: This has to happen every year. Boom Thanksgiving. Even now,
- 6:17Speaker 7: everybody's gonna have a half a day off.
- 6:19Speaker 1: I mean, all the good teams. We get to Sunday,
- 6:21Speaker 1: it's gonna be Jets Dolphins.
- 6:22Speaker 6: I mean, so Chiefs Bills. Sounds good right now. But
- 6:27Speaker 6: there's a chance we get to that game and it's
- 6:30Speaker 6: Josh Allen versus Garrett usmar.
- 6:31Speaker 4: No way, there's a chance.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Put it on the poll. By the time we get
- 6:35Speaker 1: to Thanksgiving. Is there a chance it's Josh Allen versus
- 6:37Speaker 1: garrettnus Meyer.
- 6:39Speaker 3: There the Christmas game was Chris Oldokin.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Yeah, that's Christmas.
- 6:44Speaker 5: Yeah, that's Christmas. Yeah.
- 6:45Speaker 8: This Thanksgiving, everybody's still in it. They were trying to
- 6:48Speaker 8: trade for Priest Hall just before this.
- 6:50Speaker 4: He's still in the MVP conversation around Thanksgiving.
- 6:53Speaker 2: That guy. So is there a Friday game?
- 6:57Speaker 5: There is? And I almost wish I relent.
- 6:59Speaker 2: It's it's a little bit of a letdown, letdown. Now
- 7:03Speaker 2: I have to guess, Wait, i't me to give you
- 7:06Speaker 2: a hint.
- 7:06Speaker 7: I don't think it's that big of a letdown. I
- 7:08Speaker 7: think Mike you oversold that letdown.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Chargers.
- 7:12Speaker 5: No, that's not a letdown. That's that's a that's a
- 7:15Speaker 5: that's an awesome game.
- 7:15Speaker 2: All right.
- 7:16Speaker 1: So now I have to think about what Mikey would
- 7:17Speaker 1: deem a letdown and what is he saying?
- 7:19Speaker 2: Yeah, not so bad.
- 7:21Speaker 4: I'm also surprised that he called it a letdown.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Raiders, right conference, you said, right Texans.
- 7:31Speaker 5: No defense? No, I love this game.
- 7:35Speaker 4: Bengals No, No, right, right Division?
- 7:38Speaker 2: Who the hell is it?
- 7:40Speaker 4: It's the Steelers.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Oh, it's a letdown.
- 7:44Speaker 7: It's Aaron Rodgers. It's Thanksgiving. They could be on their
- 7:48Speaker 7: third quarterback by then, is he?
- 7:51Speaker 1: What do you make of a Chan getting four years,
- 7:53Speaker 1: sixty eight million dollars from the Dolphins. I think there
- 7:56Speaker 1: was a time of the radio show where you said, ah, Chan,
- 7:58Speaker 1: get out of Miami if you can.
- 8:00Speaker 7: Well, I mean this is the reason why he didn't, right,
- 8:02Speaker 7: because he's gonna get paid and you know not the
- 8:05Speaker 7: greatest amount of guaranteed money. It's in the thirties, right,
- 8:09Speaker 7: thirty two to thirty four, somewhere in that range.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I don't really understand if you're.
- 8:13Speaker 7: Gonna make a commitment on a team that's not really
- 8:16Speaker 7: or not really definitely not trying to do anything and
- 8:19Speaker 7: won't do anything, why you make a commitment to the
- 8:21Speaker 7: running back position, especially when you're most likely going to
- 8:26Speaker 7: use his prime years, which is probably the first couple
- 8:28Speaker 7: of years of this deal, on a team that's not
- 8:30Speaker 7: doing anything. You're just gonna waste his runs, waste his touches.
- 8:33Speaker 7: And so I don't really understand the thinking on this.
- 8:37Speaker 7: If they feel like maybe they're gonna be surprisingly good
- 8:39Speaker 7: and they have this one gem of an offensive piece, great,
- 8:42Speaker 7: but I don't see that thinking.
- 8:43Speaker 4: I don't really get it, to be.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Honest, Mikey.
- 8:46Speaker 1: There was a time we had mostered on if you remember,
- 8:48Speaker 1: when he was leading the nfball and touchdowns and we
- 8:51Speaker 1: asked him who's the fastest guy on that team, and
- 8:54Speaker 1: he said, it's not me, it's not Hill, it's not Waddle,
- 8:58Speaker 1: it's this kid, a chit. And we were like who,
- 9:00Speaker 1: and he was like, a chan, He's going to be
- 9:02Speaker 1: a great football player. He's now the third highest paid
- 9:05Speaker 1: running back in the NFL, which is amazing to me.
- 9:08Speaker 8: Well, I think Mostard said he was, and then a
- 9:11Speaker 8: Chan would be second, and Tyreek was looking at their backs.
- 9:14Speaker 5: Yes.
- 9:14Speaker 1: No, so Mostard said that even while ah Chan beat
- 9:17Speaker 1: him in one hundred yard dash, he still thought he
- 9:20Speaker 1: was faster. Yes, Kyle Long next stick outs here from

- 11:24Speaker 1: Very excited about this, his brother has become a friend
- 11:27Speaker 1: of mine, a friend of the show.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Chris Long.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Kyle Long is with us though, and I'm very excited
- 11:32Speaker 1: he's with us to promote Generation Fine. We have a
- 11:34Speaker 1: game for him at the end. He loves games, which
- 11:36Speaker 1: I get very excited about. Uh, tell us about what
- 11:39Speaker 1: you're doing with Generation Fine, Kyle.
- 11:41Speaker 5: All right, So I partner with Johnson and Johnson on
- 11:44Speaker 5: the Generation Fine movement, which is really having an attention
- 11:48Speaker 5: to the fact that we all deal with mental health.
- 11:51Speaker 5: You know, we all have it's a spectrum, so we've
- 11:53Speaker 5: all got a different thing going on. But one thing
- 11:55Speaker 5: we can all have a unifying conversation over is the
- 11:58Speaker 5: fact that talk about this stuff is good. And when
- 12:02Speaker 5: I played, everybody would always text me during the season.
- 12:04Speaker 5: You know, nobody sees you during the season, but they
- 12:06Speaker 5: text you. How you doing. I'm fine, I'm good. That
- 12:09Speaker 5: doesn't have to be the benchmark, right Like, we should
- 12:12Speaker 5: be striving for better than that, And in order to
- 12:15Speaker 5: do that, you're gonna have to have some tough conversations.
- 12:18Speaker 5: Look yourself in the mirror, and a great place to
- 12:21Speaker 5: start if you feel like you're somebody that's dealing with
- 12:23Speaker 5: this is Generation Dash. Fine dot com, there's tools, resources, information.
- 12:30Speaker 5: But being in a football family, I know how important
- 12:32Speaker 5: mental health is. It doesn't affect just me, but my wife,
- 12:36Speaker 5: my children, the people I work with, and it goes
- 12:39Speaker 5: for players, coaches, scouts, support staff, trainers in the NFL,
- 12:44Speaker 5: and I would imagine it permeates everywhere on Earth. People
- 12:49Speaker 5: have to deal with mental health. So this is a
- 12:51Speaker 5: good starting point. I want to destigmatize that conversation.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I was going to ask, why is this a personal
- 12:57Speaker 1: thing for you? Why is this so important to you?
- 12:59Speaker 5: Well, when I was playing, I started to notice that
- 13:02Speaker 5: there were some days that were harder than others to
- 13:04Speaker 5: get out of bed. I mean even when I was
- 13:05Speaker 5: an All pro, and it wasn't because I was sore.
- 13:07Speaker 5: It was because I had something going on between the
- 13:10Speaker 5: six inches between my ears, and I had to take accountability,
- 13:14Speaker 5: take ownership and realize that, Like if I sprain my ankle,
- 13:18Speaker 5: I'm going to go and take care of that and
- 13:19Speaker 5: I'm going to do the treatment that I need. Why
- 13:22Speaker 5: wouldn't I do the same thing if I'm dealing with
- 13:25Speaker 5: depression or anxiety or anything along those lines. There's a
- 13:28Speaker 5: lot of us that do, and I promise you We've
- 13:31Speaker 5: all got a little bit of poundage that's sitting on
- 13:33Speaker 5: our shoulders and on our chest because of things that
- 13:36Speaker 5: we didn't say, conversations we haven't had, regrets we may have.
- 13:41Speaker 5: So I would urge you guys to step up. And
- 13:46Speaker 5: you know, I want to say, you know, be a man,
- 13:49Speaker 5: and I want to rebrand that too. I mean, being
- 13:52Speaker 5: a man's looking out for yourself and the people that
- 13:54Speaker 5: love you and you love And what better way to
- 13:56Speaker 5: do that than to have these conversations.
- 14:00Speaker 7: Hey, Kyle, I'm curious. Hello, by the way, are you doing?
- 14:03Speaker 7: What do you suggest when somebody doesn't know?
- 14:05Speaker 5: Like?
- 14:06Speaker 4: What does that feel like?
- 14:08Speaker 7: What if I don't know if having a bad day
- 14:10Speaker 7: actually just means anything, if it's weighing on me. Isn't
- 14:13Speaker 7: that the conversations that they have to have?
- 14:15Speaker 5: Right? I would say that you learn about yourself in
- 14:18Speaker 5: comparing and contrasting with others. And while you and I
- 14:23Speaker 5: may not have the same things, I'm sure that in
- 14:27Speaker 5: a five to two minute conversation you and I can
- 14:30Speaker 5: find something that's like common ground this ven diagram, And
- 14:35Speaker 5: if you talk to enough people, or if you have
- 14:37Speaker 5: enough conversations with that person, you should be able to
- 14:39Speaker 5: identify some of the things that maybe, you know what
- 14:41Speaker 5: I thought I was doing great, But this I can
- 14:43Speaker 5: tweak the margins on this, I can be even better
- 14:45Speaker 5: than great.
- 14:48Speaker 2: You know.
- 14:48Speaker 5: It's it's applicable for anybody on this spectrum.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Kyle, I'm wondering you and your brother do such great
- 14:55Speaker 1: work off the field, Like, who instilled that into you?
- 14:57Speaker 2: Guys?
- 14:58Speaker 1: Was that from your parents? Was that dad who told you, hey,
- 15:00Speaker 1: use the platform, use it for good, for good use.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Well, my dad's obviously always been a you know, a
- 15:06Speaker 5: model citizen, but it's it's my mom, Diane, who is
- 15:10Speaker 5: just on you know, she's on dozens of boards for
- 15:13Speaker 5: nonprofits and charitable organizations. I think that using your platform
- 15:20Speaker 5: and helping other people is something that we got from
- 15:23Speaker 5: our dad, but we definitely got from our mom, Diane,
- 15:26Speaker 5: and she's an all star. And you can see it
- 15:28Speaker 5: with Chris. I mean, he's been a man on a
- 15:30Speaker 5: mission for a long time.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Kyle.
- 15:32Speaker 6: I saw a funny story about you and Matt n
- 15:37Speaker 6: Aggie's first day with the Bears. Could you could you
- 15:41Speaker 6: tell these guys about that story.
- 15:43Speaker 2: He's rubbing his heads, I'll do his face. What is
- 15:47Speaker 2: going on on?
- 15:47Speaker 5: Good research, by the way, good research. So I had
- 15:51Speaker 5: just moved into a new house in Lake Forest, Illinois.
- 15:54Speaker 5: Beautiful house, beautiful house, and I knew that the first
- 15:58Speaker 5: day was this. This was like a Sunday night. I
- 16:01Speaker 5: go to bed, I plug my phone in, I set
- 16:03Speaker 5: my alarm. I'm a early guy. I'm their way early.
- 16:06Speaker 5: I bring like a sixty degree wedge and I'm out
- 16:08Speaker 5: there hitting it. You know, you got to tell me
- 16:10Speaker 5: to get out of the building. Well, I plugged my
- 16:14Speaker 5: phone into a dead outlet and I used white noise
- 16:17Speaker 5: and white noise on Spotify. It drains your battery unless
- 16:20Speaker 5: you're plugged in. I woke up peacefully at about seven
- 16:24Speaker 5: thirty am, which was about an hour and a half
- 16:27Speaker 5: after my alarm was supposed to go off. And I'm
- 16:30Speaker 5: I'm like one of the guys on this team, and
- 16:32Speaker 5: we have a brand new coach. Well, I slept through
- 16:36Speaker 5: that meeting and the first meeting and in the video
- 16:40Speaker 5: in the presentation was like we need guys that are
- 16:44Speaker 5: accountable and do things, and it's like I'm all over
- 16:47Speaker 5: the presentation. I'm like the guy and I'm nowhere to
- 16:52Speaker 5: be found. I just remember the head of security, John
- 16:58Speaker 5: Tarpy called me, and I'm in my kitchen like scrambling
- 17:03Speaker 5: to get out the door, and Tarpy called me. He's like,
- 17:05Speaker 5: you missed the first meeting. And I'm like, this is
- 17:08Speaker 5: not what it looks like. It wasn't a contract situation
- 17:11Speaker 5: or anything. It was just a dead outlet. And here
- 17:13Speaker 5: I am talking about it nine years later. I'll never
- 17:16Speaker 5: forget that, so I always make sure my stuff is charging.
- 17:20Speaker 1: You're scarred by that. I mean it's like that was
- 17:22Speaker 1: painful for you. I mean, yeah, you need that though.
- 17:25Speaker 5: You got to need that, like fear right, if you're
- 17:28Speaker 5: going to be in the National Football League.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Would you be surprised if I told you during Super
- 17:33Speaker 1: Bowl Week your brother invited me out on a lawn
- 17:36Speaker 1: to take mushrooms and just stare at the Golden gate Bridge.
- 17:39Speaker 5: This is like the least surprising thing I've ever heard.
- 17:43Speaker 5: You know, Chris is always on his journey of discovery,
- 17:47Speaker 5: and I think that did you take him up on
- 17:49Speaker 5: that invitation?
- 17:51Speaker 1: Also not surprising? Stucats No, no, no, Chris did not.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Chris Taylor told the story Chris never showed up to
- 17:58Speaker 1: the lawn.
- 17:58Speaker 2: I think he took him. He was too bad an'noid
- 18:00Speaker 2: to leave the house something like, you know.
- 18:02Speaker 5: What, it sounds like an overwhelming evening. And I'm you know,
- 18:07Speaker 5: me and Chris are so we're so alike, but we're
- 18:09Speaker 5: so different. I mean, I'm so happy to know him. Man,
- 18:12Speaker 5: he exposes me to so many crazy things. I'm just
- 18:15Speaker 5: I'm just happy. He's a nice guy. Is he?
- 18:17Speaker 1: We're gonna play a game here of Chris or Kyle,
- 18:20Speaker 1: and then we'll have Chris on to get his answers
- 18:22Speaker 1: and we'll match him up against Kyle's answers.
- 18:24Speaker 2: How does that sound? Are you like games? You said right?
- 18:28Speaker 5: Love games? Big game guy?
- 18:30Speaker 2: Okay, Uh, Mom's favorite, Chris my favorite.
- 18:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm gonna say Kyle.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Huh really why?
- 18:43Speaker 5: I just I don't know. I got a gut feeling here.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Here's the deal.
- 18:48Speaker 5: So my mom and I have a lot of overlap.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Like obviously, people look at me and they're like, Oh,
- 18:53Speaker 5: that's how he's kid. He's huge, he's a football player.
- 18:55Speaker 5: My mom was like musical theater. I did that in
- 18:58Speaker 5: junior high drama. Cl I was into that. There's a
- 19:01Speaker 5: lot of the things that my mom that makes up
- 19:05Speaker 5: her personality that I find in me. Chris and my
- 19:08Speaker 5: dad are very similar in terms of just like type
- 19:11Speaker 5: a squarehead, great hair.
- 19:15Speaker 8: Kyle, I could tell you from somebody who is absolutely
- 19:18Speaker 8: not the favorite. If you're the favorite, you know, in
- 19:21Speaker 8: my house there were more pictures of my brother with
- 19:23Speaker 8: his lacrosse coach than there were of me.
- 19:25Speaker 5: That's unbelievable.
- 19:27Speaker 8: The lacrosse coach gets more, the lacrosse coach has more wall.
- 19:32Speaker 5: Chris would be the first guy to say that I'm
- 19:34Speaker 5: the favorite, Like, Kyle is definitely the favorite, and I'm like,
- 19:38Speaker 5: I have to think about it.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Yeah, But Chris says that knowing that everyone else knows
- 19:43Speaker 1: that Kyle is the favorite, right, I feel like, Yeah,
- 19:46Speaker 1: he's too serious. Chris or Kyle dad's favorite.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Me didn't even.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Hesitate that one didn't hesitate, okay.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Chris or Kyle. Best gift giver, Uh.
- 20:00Speaker 5: Chris is probably a really good gift giver because he's
- 20:03Speaker 5: pre CBA, so he can give big gifts, huge gifts. Yes,
- 20:10Speaker 5: what kind of gifts do you like?
- 20:11Speaker 2: Just go pick one out right, go to Uncle Chris.
- 20:15Speaker 5: Like all my gifts. I put him on layaway.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Oh my god, best singing voice Chris or Kyle.
- 20:26Speaker 5: I like to sing. I like to sing, and it
- 20:28Speaker 5: goes back to that musical background stuff. I really do
- 20:31Speaker 5: enjoy singing anything.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Okay, what's your go to? Like, what's the song you'll
- 20:35Speaker 2: sing out loud in the shower?
- 20:36Speaker 5: Well, right now, it's a lot of the Disney princess stuff. So,
- 20:41Speaker 5: but you know with these Disney movies. By the way,
- 20:44Speaker 5: watched Tarzan yesterday, Yeah, the original Phil Collins have a day.
- 20:51Speaker 5: Hats off to Phil Collins. Unbelievable. And my kids aren't
- 20:54Speaker 5: big like movie buffs. They listen to all the music
- 20:57Speaker 5: where yesterday was like thunder and lightning in South Forest.
- 21:00Speaker 5: We put the kids on the couch, we put Tarzan on.
- 21:02Speaker 5: I've never seen more locked in people than watching Tarzan.
- 21:06Speaker 5: And then when Phil Collins come come on, this is
- 21:09Speaker 5: nothing better.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Yeah, all off, hammer go ahead, Mikey.
- 21:12Speaker 5: I got a two parter here. Who is the funniest
- 21:14Speaker 5: and who thinks they're the funniest. Chris is probably the funniest.
- 21:18Speaker 5: I definitely think.
- 21:19Speaker 2: I'm the funniest, but you know you're not funny.
- 21:23Speaker 5: But that's what makes it funny. It's like I will
- 21:26Speaker 5: swing the bat, I will swing hard, I will swing
- 21:28Speaker 5: hard one time, so I was I'm friends with like
- 21:31Speaker 5: Will Compton and those guys. And I ran into Will
- 21:34Speaker 5: outside of a super Bowl party one night and we
- 21:37Speaker 5: had all had a couple of pops. I think Drake
- 21:39Speaker 5: was playing. It was a very cool venue. We weren't
- 21:41Speaker 5: supposed to be there. And we walk outside and you know,
- 21:44Speaker 5: you see the light of like the ubers and everything
- 21:47Speaker 5: when you leave. And I saw Will with Shane Gillis,
- 21:50Speaker 5: who I'm a huge fan of Shane Gillis, and I
- 21:52Speaker 5: walked up and I cracked the joke. I cracked the
- 21:55Speaker 5: joke to Will Compton, like making fun of him, and
- 21:57Speaker 5: Shane looks at me and he goes, good joke, idiot,
- 22:01Speaker 5: Like it was a terrible joke, and he called me
- 22:04Speaker 5: on it. But that's an example of like, but I'm
- 22:06Speaker 5: not afraid if I'm coming again with it.
- 22:09Speaker 4: But for a comedian, that also wasn't a great retort
- 22:11Speaker 4: by Shane.
- 22:12Speaker 5: He looked at me like, good joke. Oh that killed
- 22:16Speaker 5: me for a couple of days.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Most likely to attempt to pay for dinner Chris or Kyle.
- 22:23Speaker 5: Most likely to attempt to play for pay for dinner.
- 22:26Speaker 5: That would be Chris, so he could leave as soon
- 22:28Speaker 5: as he's done eating.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Wait what does he do?
- 22:32Speaker 1: Soone the second he's done chewing, he gets up, pays
- 22:35Speaker 1: for the meal, and leaves.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Yes, well, you know what, I just.
- 22:38Speaker 5: Think he's a homebody and if you don't, if you're
- 22:41Speaker 5: not grilling at his house, he is in a track
- 22:43Speaker 5: meet to the door to try to get home. He's
- 22:46Speaker 5: one of those guys.
- 22:47Speaker 1: All right, final one here, Taylor has a question and
- 22:50Speaker 1: then we'll promote what you're doing one more time on
- 22:51Speaker 1: the way out.
- 22:52Speaker 2: We appreciate the time. I want to do this more.
- 22:53Speaker 2: I want to have you with Chris. Yeah, I want
- 22:57Speaker 2: to have you and Chris saw it together. The guy
- 23:00Speaker 2: who gives the biggest tips Chris.
- 23:02Speaker 5: Or Kyle biggest tips? Yeah, yeah, I think I tip
- 23:07Speaker 5: pretty well because most of the time when I tip,
- 23:10Speaker 5: it's at the golf course. And for example, there's a
- 23:14Speaker 5: public course down here in South Florida called Osprey Point.
- 23:17Speaker 5: It's like the best public course in the state.
- 23:19Speaker 2: And I played a number of times.
- 23:21Speaker 5: It's fantastic, fantastic, right, throw the starter a couple bones.
- 23:27Speaker 5: Make sure you take care of the people that clean
- 23:29Speaker 5: your clubs in your car, because when you show up
- 23:32Speaker 5: on a random day and you say, man, maybe I'd
- 23:34Speaker 5: go out and play eighteen. Those are the same people
- 23:36Speaker 5: that make the decision. Now, I'm not saying treat people
- 23:38Speaker 5: well so you can get things, but if you want
- 23:41Speaker 5: to be a good tipper, it pays to do it
- 23:44Speaker 5: at the golf course that people take care of you.
- 23:47Speaker 2: All right, how about me and you around at osbrey Point.
- 23:50Speaker 2: How does that sound.
- 23:52Speaker 5: What's your handicap?
- 23:54Speaker 2: My handicap's like a fifteen fifteen.
- 23:56Speaker 5: We'd have a hell of a day.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Okay, let's do it. Yes, but I tend to uh,
- 24:01Speaker 2: I tend to dabble on some of Chris's things more
- 24:03Speaker 2: so than yours.
- 24:04Speaker 5: Just so yeah, free zone, Okay, I.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Dabble right third hole, every hole, Taylor, go ahead, Kyle.
- 24:16Speaker 6: So, I played football at UNC and I once dropped
- 24:18Speaker 6: a pass and on my way back to the sideline,
- 24:21Speaker 6: my coach said, don't worry. The world needs average people too.
- 24:25Speaker 6: And I'm wondering, from your experience in locker rooms and
- 24:29Speaker 6: around coaches, what's the meanest thing a coach has ever
- 24:31Speaker 6: said to you?
- 24:33Speaker 5: The meanest thing a coach ever said to me? So
- 24:37Speaker 5: flashback to the Matt Naggie first year. Okay, and I
- 24:40Speaker 5: finally got to the building and we started doing our practices.
- 24:43Speaker 5: We did our first practice and again I met with
- 24:47Speaker 5: Naggie after the missing the meeting, and I'm back in
- 24:50Speaker 5: the good graces as one of the guys. Vic Fangio
- 24:54Speaker 5: is our defensive coordinator. I love Vic Fangio. Him and
- 24:58Speaker 5: my dad are type. They text a lot. It was
- 25:00Speaker 5: just strange, but I love Vi. It is so we'd
- 25:03Speaker 5: break down that. At the end of practice, they bring
- 25:06Speaker 5: all the guys into a little like nucleus and they say,
- 25:08Speaker 5: break them down. Seventy five, you got them, that's me.
- 25:11Speaker 5: I'm seventy five. So I go up there and I say,
- 25:13Speaker 5: you know, one two three bears, I'm not giving speeches
- 25:15Speaker 5: the one two three bears. And I walk away and
- 25:17Speaker 5: then I get grabbed on my arm when I'm leaving
- 25:19Speaker 5: the huddle. It's Vic Fangi. He looks me right in
- 25:21Speaker 5: the eyes. He said, you didn't fucking deserve that.
- 25:26Speaker 10: Classic fangs I mean, And you know what, it's the
- 25:31Speaker 10: same guy that when a Keem Hicks would play sixty
- 25:35Speaker 10: plays and tap his helmet to get a breather.
- 25:37Speaker 5: At three hundred and fifty pounds, Vic Fangio would remind him.
- 25:42Speaker 5: I remember hearing these conversations like my dad would. On
- 25:47Speaker 5: a Monday or Thursday game, my dad could be there,
- 25:49Speaker 5: so he'd be in the tunnel after the game, and
- 25:51Speaker 5: me and a Chem are super tight, and we'd walk
- 25:53Speaker 5: out of the locker room together, but we bash each
- 25:55Speaker 5: other's faces in all week. But on Sundays we were
- 25:58Speaker 5: going at somebody else and we're leaving the locker room
- 26:01Speaker 5: at the same time, and me and a Key walk
- 26:04Speaker 5: out and Vic and my dad are talking. And Vic
- 26:06Speaker 5: loves my dad because he's old school. He never came out,
- 26:09Speaker 5: He played all he played all the positions, he two gaps,
- 26:12Speaker 5: he never bitched. I remember he Vic goes, hey, Keing,
- 26:18Speaker 5: come here. I want you to talk to Howie for
- 26:20Speaker 5: a second. Then he goes, Howie, how many times did
- 26:24Speaker 5: you leave the field when you played? And I remember
- 26:26Speaker 5: my dad knew what a Key or what Vic was
- 26:29Speaker 5: trying to do to a Keeing, and he was like,
- 26:30Speaker 5: I'm not doing this here. And it just made me
- 26:33Speaker 5: realize these coaches are just trying to crawl up under
- 26:36Speaker 5: your skin and live inside of your brain and get
- 26:39Speaker 5: inside of your heart and make you feel less than
- 26:41Speaker 5: But that's what it takes, okay, because who else is
- 26:45Speaker 5: going to motivate at sixty six, three hundred and fifty
- 26:47Speaker 5: pound monster savage to go do stuff because the rest
- 26:50Speaker 5: of it's easy for him. You need somebody to push
- 26:53Speaker 5: you over the edge. That was Vic Fangio for me,
- 26:55Speaker 5: and Aaron Cromer was the guy that really dug his
- 26:59Speaker 5: nails into me.
- 27:01Speaker 2: All right, we'll get you out of here in a second.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Chris Simms is a friend of the show.
- 27:04Speaker 1: He's always telling me that his dad, Phil Simms, who
- 27:07Speaker 1: won two Super Bowls, is always reminding him, Hey, I'm
- 27:09Speaker 1: the one who has the rings in the family. I
- 27:11Speaker 1: know all you guys have some rings, but Howie Long,
- 27:14Speaker 1: How often does it remind the kids, Hey, Dad's a
- 27:17Speaker 1: Hall of Fame fucking football player.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I'm better than both of you. You know what.
- 27:20Speaker 5: It's funny. It makes it easy. It makes it easy
- 27:25Speaker 5: because he wasn't just a guy that played, and I
- 27:28Speaker 5: didn't have to like measure up to him, and he
- 27:30Speaker 5: doesn't have to deal with how close are my kids?
- 27:33Speaker 5: It is obvious that he is the north Star. I'm
- 27:38Speaker 5: just trying to spacexit a little bit, okay, I'm just
- 27:40Speaker 5: trying to get out of the lower Earth orbit a
- 27:43Speaker 5: little bit and navigate those potholes. He did a great
- 27:48Speaker 5: job of putting street lamps at every corner for one
- 27:51Speaker 5: hundred miles, and there will not be a crossroad that
- 27:54Speaker 5: I meet that hasn't been traveled by him. And that
- 27:57Speaker 5: gives me incredible peace. And I'm thankful for him.
- 28:01Speaker 4: Do you want poetry because that was great?
- 28:03Speaker 5: No?
- 28:04Speaker 1: Thank you, though, yes, it was really good. We are
- 28:07Speaker 1: thankful for you in your times. Are we appreciate it?
- 28:09Speaker 2: Tell us one more time on the way out here again.
- 28:12Speaker 2: What you're doing. It's great. It's great work you guys
- 28:14Speaker 2: are doing with Generation Fine.
- 28:15Speaker 5: Yeah, Johnson and Johnson and I have partnered on Generation Fine.

- 28:23Speaker 5: and all the people on this call today to reach

- 28:33Speaker 5: all affected by it, so let's hold hands about it,
- 28:36Speaker 5: talk about it a little bit.
- 28:37Speaker 2: All right, man, keep up the good work. I look
- 28:39Speaker 2: forward to around of golf me.
- 28:41Speaker 5: And you soon. Thanks guys, all right for you soon?
- 28:44Speaker 2: All right? That was perfect? Thanks gotf that was great.
- 28:49Speaker 5: When did you play there.
- 28:51Speaker 2: I've played there, so I played Ausbrey. I played on.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Taylor where you played at North Carolina.
- 28:56Speaker 2: He has nothing.
- 28:56Speaker 5: He doesn't care anything about your golf.
- 28:59Speaker 6: Get that in keep it, uh twenty thirteen, twenty sixteen.
- 29:02Speaker 6: So Mitch, Mitch was our backup quarterback my last You.
- 29:05Speaker 5: Had Mitch, and you had the white receiver whose dad.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Plays, Uh Pearl, awesome, Pearl love that guy.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, the white receiver.
- 29:14Speaker 5: Hey, the white receiver play.
- 29:15Speaker 2: I knew exactly who he meant, the fast, white wide receiver.
- 29:20Speaker 5: Okay, guys, it's called dichotomy. We gotta figure out if Hey,
- 29:26Speaker 5: thank you, guys, have a great one.
- 29:28Speaker 2: I hope you guys kept that in me thinking that
- 29:30Speaker 2: he was talking to me.
