  True riches. We all chase things we believe
• 0:13
  are valuable. Maybe it's money, success,
• 0:16
  grades, recognition, or the feeling of being admired and
• 0:19
  noticed. It can feel like if we just get
• 0:21
  one more thing, one more achievement, one more upgrade,
• 0:24
  one more win, we'll finally feel secure.
• 0:28
  But deep down, most of us have discovered that those feelings
• 0:31
  don't last. The excitement fades, the
• 0:33
  pressure returns, and we're left wanting more.
• 0:36
  That's because we were never meant to build our lives on
• 0:39
  temporary treasure. Proverbs chapter 3, verses 19 to
• 0:43
  20 reminds us who God is and how he works.
• 0:46
  It says the Lord by wisdom founded the earth by
• 0:49
  understanding. He established the heavens by
• 0:51
  his knowledge. The deeps broke open, and the
• 0:53
  clouds drop down the dew. Everything we see, every system,
• 0:58
  every rhythm, every detail of creation was built by God's
• 1:01
  wisdom. That means wisdom isn't just
• 1:04
  helpful advice, it's foundational.
• 1:06
  When you pursue God's wisdom, you're aligning your life with
• 1:09
  the very principles that hold the world together.
• 1:12
  Jesus takes this even deeper in Matthew chapter 6.
• 1:15
  He says, do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth,
• 1:19
  but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven.
• 1:21
  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
• 1:24
  Jesus isn't saying that material things are evil.
• 1:27
  He's saying they're unstable. Earthly treasures can be lost,
• 1:31
  broken, stolen, or outdated. But heavenly treasure, things
• 1:35
  like obedience, faithfulness, generosity, integrity, and love
• 1:39
  can never be taken away. What you value most will quietly
• 1:42
  shape your heart, your habits, and your direction.
• 1:45
  True riches aren't measured by what you own, but by who you're
• 1:48
  becoming. When you choose honesty over
• 1:50
  shortcuts, kindness over clout, and obedience over popularity,
• 1:54
  you're storing up treasure that lasts.
• 1:56
  When you invest time in God's Word, listen for His voice, and
• 1:59
  walk in His wisdom, you're building a life that's rooted,
• 2:02
  steady, and secure. The world will always push you
• 2:05
  to chase what looks impressive, but God invites you to pursue
• 2:09
  what's eternal. And when you do, you discover
• 2:12
  that His wisdom brings peace, clarity, and purpose that
• 2:14
  nothing else can offer. Let's pray.

  Heavenly Father, thank you for showing me that true riches are
• 2:20
  found in You. Help me not to be distracted by
• 2:23
  things that fade, but to treasure what lasts forever.

  Teach me to seek Your wisdom in every decision and to set my

  heart on what matters most to You.

  Shape my desires, guide my choices, and help me live for

  Isn't life more than food and the body more than clothing?

  See the birds of the sky that they don't sow, neither do they

  reap nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them.

  Aren't you of much more value than they?

  Which of you by being anxious can add 1 moment to his

  lifespan? Why are you anxious about

  clothing? Consider the lilies of the

  field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they

  spin. Yet I tell you that even Solomon

  in all his glory was not dressed like one of these.

  But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today
• 8:05
  exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much
• 8:08
  more clothe you? You have little faith, therefore
• 8:10
  don't be anxious saying, what will we eat, what will we drink,
• 8:14
  or with what will we be clothed? For the Gentiles seek after all
• 8:18
  these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all
• 8:21
  these things. But seek first God's Kingdom and
• 8:24
  His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as
• 8:27
  well. Therefore, don't be anxious for
• 8:29
  tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself.

  Each day's own evil is sufficient.
