• 0:16
Speaker 1: lot of shit to talk to you guys about. I'm
• 0:18
Speaker 1: built up. I'm built up, all right, So I'm gonna
• 0:21
Speaker 1: start it in and then you can get into Can
• 0:22
Speaker 1: you get to start? Why don't we w because I
• 0:24
Speaker 1: always started that? God, okay, paper scissor, shoot scissors? Shoot
• 0:33
Speaker 1: covered that? Because mine's probably gonna be a downer? Go ahead?
• 0:41
Speaker 1: Why are go to be a downer? I don't got
• 0:45
Speaker 1: you got first? It's so beautiful. I get the sun. Man,
• 0:48
Speaker 1: this look at that sun on the orange tree. I
• 0:52
Speaker 1: am excited for what this afternoon has in store from
• 0:56
Speaker 1: my first Emily. Yes, this um this, um, this is um. Listen.
• 1:01
Speaker 1: This is a very funny episode. Let me just say
• 1:03
Speaker 1: that right off the bat, and I usually don't watch
• 1:05
Speaker 1: these scrubs. Is a good thing to watch first thing
• 1:07
Speaker 1: in the morning. I gotta tell you, because I woke up,
• 1:10
  Speaker 1: I'm a little grumpy. I have a coffee and then
• 1:13
Speaker 1: and but normally we you know, others thing. I usually
• 1:17
Speaker 1: watched right before we record, but today I was busy,
• 1:19
Speaker 1: so I had to make sure I watched first thing
• 1:21
Speaker 1: in the morning. I'm sitting there cracking up. It is
• 1:24
Speaker 1: funny this episode due this was a very funny episode.
• 1:26
Speaker 1: I mean, joke, choke, choke, joke. It's like a barrage
• 1:29
Speaker 1: of jokes, a lot of a lot of a lot
• 1:31
Speaker 1: of jokes that if you missed it, guess what you
• 1:33
Speaker 1: missed it and you have to kind of go back
• 1:34
Speaker 1: and listen again. This is a very this is a
• 1:37
Speaker 1: very joke. You know, some of the episodes are more
• 1:39
Speaker 1: jokey than others, and this one's like and I was
• 1:42
Speaker 1: cracking up at every single one. Um. I wanted to
• 1:45
Speaker 1: tell you, um that I posted. Disney made me take
• 1:48
Speaker 1: down this picture I posted of Cheaper by the Dozen
• 1:51
  Speaker 1: because I guess I wasn't such a such a cute picture.
• 1:54
Speaker 1: I know, and it's such a cute got you got
• 1:57
Speaker 1: freaking oh shit, they hit you with the dude, now
• 2:00
Speaker 1: you know you sound signed a confidentiality agree. Well, I
• 2:03
Speaker 1: didn't think they could. We wrapped tomorrow. It's exciting. We
• 2:05
Speaker 1: wrapped tomorrow after two months, and I took a selfie
• 2:08
Speaker 1: of all of us, and I understand they don't want
• 2:09
Speaker 1: pictures out yet, but I did it anyway. The funny
• 2:12
Speaker 1: thing is all my dms, every single person thinks they
• 2:14
Speaker 1: were have an original joke. They all have the exact
• 2:16
Speaker 1: same joke, why are you with all of Donald's kids?
• 2:27
Speaker 1: And then your wife never fails and then your wife
• 2:30
Speaker 1: hit me up. She's like, why are you hanging out
• 2:31
Speaker 1: with other biracial children? And that was one funny thing
• 2:40
Speaker 1: I wanted to tell you, And then the other thing
• 2:43
Speaker 1: is I want to I can't tell you enough. Everyone, listener,
• 2:46
Speaker 1: you have to watch this special Bo Burnham's special, and
• 2:51
Speaker 1: you watch it. I have not watched it. Yet another
• 2:53
Speaker 1: thing I'm slow on. Listen if you like my recommendations,
• 2:56
Speaker 1: I assume some of you do. Um. This is this
• 3:00
Speaker 1: is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen.
• 3:02
Speaker 1: This this this man is so talented and I think
• 3:05
Speaker 1: I mentioned it before, but he did it over the
• 3:07
Speaker 1: course of the pandemic. He shot himself doing his material,
• 3:11
Speaker 1: which is mostly comedic songs. Donald would love it in
• 3:14
Speaker 1: one room and he shot at himself. He litted himself,
• 3:17
Speaker 1: he edited it, he wrote all the music and at
• 3:20
Speaker 1: some points it's funny, and it's other points, it's heartbreaking,
• 3:23
Speaker 1: and it's just a beautiful piece of art and I
• 3:26
Speaker 1: wish I was as talented as he is. It's on Netflix.
• 3:30
Speaker 1: Please check it out, Daniel, you will absolutely love it great.
• 3:33
Speaker 1: What is what does Josh always say? No envy, no fear.
• 3:36
Speaker 1: Don't I have? You have a completely different set of
• 3:41
Speaker 1: tools that you use this way. I'm sure there are
• 3:45
Speaker 1: guys who are riding the bench and they're watching Lebron
• 3:49
Speaker 1: play right, and they go, Okay, I'm in the NBA,
• 3:52
Speaker 1: I'm decent, I'm made at the NBA, I'm on the team,
• 3:55
Speaker 1: And then they watched Lebron They're like fun. That's sometimes
• 3:59
Speaker 1: how I feel when I see great artists who do
• 4:02
Speaker 1: a similar thing to me and do what they do.
• 4:03
  Speaker 1: I go, fuck, I think I'm decent. I don't know
• 4:05
Speaker 1: if I'm not good. Well, dude, just think about me, man,
• 4:09
Speaker 1: just think about me. My whole life, all I've ever
• 4:11
Speaker 1: wanted to be was in the Star Wars or a
• 4:14
Speaker 1: fucking Marble movie. And look at all of these African
• 4:18
Speaker 1: American actors that are concrushing it run Star Wars and
• 4:23
Speaker 1: in Marvel movies. And you know whose name never comes up.
• 4:26
Speaker 1: And I know this because I always ask my agent, well,
• 4:28
Speaker 1: what did they say about me? And he's always like,
• 4:30
Speaker 1: they didn't. He keeps with me. But I mean, I
• 4:37
Speaker 1: even John Boyega might be like, oh my god, Donald
• 4:40
Speaker 1: Fazon has been in like multiple fucking and John Boyega's like,
• 4:44
Speaker 1: but I am in Star Wars, and he's right. I'm saying, Okay,
• 4:49
Speaker 1: when you use that analogy, I go, the grass is
• 4:51
Speaker 1: always greener. I mean, you've been in Clue the grass.
• 4:53
Speaker 1: If you can't get any greener in Star Wars, bro
• 4:56
Speaker 1: it can't get any greener, Well, you still have time, right,
• 4:58
Speaker 1: you got that? Being said? That being said, I have
• 5:03
Speaker 1: some news I try. I wish I tried. It would
• 5:07
Speaker 1: be an ass baby too. I'll try your baby. Oh
• 5:14
Speaker 1: my god, that's something I need. On the soundboard, by
• 5:19
Speaker 1: the way, Joel going, Oh my goodness, I got it
• 5:23
Speaker 1: right there, got it right there. So look, I tried, really, really,
• 5:28
Speaker 1: really hard to stick to this plant based diet. Are
• 5:33
Speaker 1: you already given up? I haven't necessarily given up, but
• 5:37
Speaker 1: it's not doing well on my gut like it does
• 5:40
Speaker 1: for everybody else, so much so that I went to
• 5:44
Speaker 1: a doctor and complained and had to get an ultrasound
• 5:47
Speaker 1: on my stomach because I was having issues with digesting
• 5:51
Speaker 1: some of this food. Turns out everything's fine, so people
• 5:56
Speaker 1: don't worry. But let's also just I we need to
• 5:58
Speaker 1: tell the audience that Donald is a bit of a
• 6:00
Speaker 1: hypochondriac in that and your wife told me this the
• 6:03
Speaker 1: other day and you acknowledged it when you were over
• 6:05
Speaker 1: at my house. That Donald can have a mosquito bite
• 6:08
Speaker 1: and be like, I have cancer. Yes, we need to
• 6:12
Speaker 1: rush to the emergency room because I have an itchy
• 6:14
Speaker 1: Can I like to stay on top of things, you
• 6:17
Speaker 1: know what I mean? But you will always go to
• 6:19
Speaker 1: the extreme? Absolutely? Okay. Can I gift you a month
• 6:24
Speaker 1: of of food that's prepared for you from a brand
• 6:28
Speaker 1: like let's say Kushi. Absolutely, And what they do is
• 6:31
Speaker 1: they um, they deliver a little cooler outside your door,
• 6:35
Speaker 1: and there's a fresh lunch and dinner in the cooler
• 6:38
Speaker 1: every morning. Yes, and before you run to the emergency room,
• 6:43
Speaker 1: it might be that you just aren't having the you know,
• 6:47
Speaker 1: it's hard to prepare stuff like that and without any knowledge.
• 6:50
Speaker 1: And if if I gift you this, let's say, I'll
• 6:53
Speaker 1: give you a month of it and you can see
• 6:54
Speaker 1: if you like the food. Okay, down there, you go down.
• 6:56
Speaker 1: That's that's your Hanaka present early thank you. Uncle's that
• 7:00
Speaker 1: being said. Last night, the wife and I and a
• 7:03
Speaker 1: few of our friends went to Salt Bay. Oh that's
• 7:09
Speaker 1: the story you really wanted. I was all lead up
• 7:11
Speaker 1: to say that you wanted. You went to his steak restaurant.
• 7:14
Speaker 1: Let me tell you something right now. I did. I
• 7:17
Speaker 1: forgot how good steak taste. It's good, it's pretty, it's
• 7:23
Speaker 1: it's it's pretty tasty. Yeah, we didn't get the gold
• 7:26
Speaker 1: meat I would hope not. No, we didn't get that.
• 7:30
Speaker 1: And also Salt Bay wasn't there, so it was like
• 7:34
Speaker 1: someone still come to his signature move. Somebody came and
• 7:37
Speaker 1: did the Salt Bay move and then and then even
• 7:39
Speaker 1: did the noise to the cameras that we all had out. Yeah,
• 7:44
Speaker 1: it was like it was like, hold up, I'm getting
• 7:46
Speaker 1: get easy. You all had your cameras out while he did.
• 7:51
Speaker 1: I didn't have my camera. Are you kidding me? Your cameras?
• 7:53
Speaker 1: That will Salt Bay's fucking understudy, but not understudy. It
• 8:01
Speaker 1: was his understudy, Joel, call it what it is. It
• 8:04
Speaker 1: was his understudy. Was there? You had fucking Salt Bay's understudy,
• 8:08
Speaker 1: and you're all like, let you get my camera anyway.
• 8:12
Speaker 1: That being said, uh, you know, my stomach was fine
• 8:16
Speaker 1: after I ate the meat, and that's when cowspiracy to
• 8:19
Speaker 1: see you pull it out. I'm not going to go down,
• 8:22
Speaker 1: I was asking me, I'm not going down that rabbit.
• 8:28
Speaker 1: Har rd. Let's get into it. Let's hold up before
• 8:30
Speaker 1: we before we go, before we go any further, I
• 8:31
Speaker 1: just want to say I am still sticking to my
• 8:36
Speaker 1: plan in uh and eating healthier and eating a lot
• 8:42
Speaker 1: less meat. But that is probably one time in a
• 8:44
Speaker 1: few months that I'm going to eat. Oh, I know
• 8:46
Speaker 1: what I want to tell you. The other thing that
• 8:48
Speaker 1: my dms blew up with I posted that picture of you,
• 8:51
Speaker 1: you know, grilling at my house on Memorial Day, and
• 8:56
Speaker 1: I thought you looked great obviously, but all the dms
• 8:58
Speaker 1: were like, damn Donald, oh John, Donald looks great. Donald
• 9:02
Speaker 1: cut wait, swore all this stuff. Okay, well I'll say this.
• 9:06
Speaker 1: It looks like it, but I've only lost about ten
• 9:10
Speaker 1: to maybe twelve pounds of weight. Well that's notice, especially
• 9:14
Speaker 1: in your head. Yeah, that's where that's where you're seeing
• 9:16
Speaker 1: most of it. The rights gone because you did get
• 9:18
Speaker 1: you went full, like you know you had went full.
• 9:21
Speaker 1: That was blo rerun for a second. I was bl yo, dude.
• 9:25
Speaker 1: I was eating very unhealthy, very very look good. I
• 9:28
Speaker 1: was telling you that the the random assortment of lovely
• 9:31
Speaker 1: people that slid into my dams only wanted to talk
• 9:33
Speaker 1: about that you looked like a dolph And I love
• 9:36
Speaker 1: them for that. I love them. I love being a dad.
• 9:39
Speaker 1: Somebody wants to fuck five six, seven, eight stories about
• 9:44
Speaker 1: show we made about a bunch of nurses, stories yeado around.
• 10:06
Speaker 1: Daniel has something he wants to add in to the
• 10:08
Speaker 1: food conversation. Daniel talking about that is what I'm talking about.
• 10:12
Speaker 1: Woo tank you forever or do not? There is no
• 10:15
Speaker 1: try go ahead, Daniel. All I wanted to add was that,
• 10:19
Speaker 1: you know, since I moved in with my wonderful girlfriend, Stephanie,
• 10:21
Speaker 1: who I love very much, we have you know, I
• 10:25
Speaker 1: have changed my diet significantly. I can tell you're skinnier.
• 10:29
Speaker 1: I appreciate that. But you know, I think about the
• 10:32
Speaker 1: three rs reduce, reuse, recycle, and the main one I
• 10:36
Speaker 1: want to talk about is reduce. I'm just saying it briefly,
• 10:39
Speaker 1: is that sometimes it feels like it's an all or
• 10:40
Speaker 1: nothing when it comes to treating your body healthier, it's
• 10:43
Speaker 1: like you have to cut this entirely, have to cut
• 10:44
Speaker 1: that entirely. And I have found that just reducing my
• 10:48
Speaker 1: going out to once a week or once every two weeks,
• 10:51
Speaker 1: cooking at home more, and reducing the amount of like
• 10:54
Speaker 1: prepackaged foods and just like eating whole foods, that has
• 10:59
Speaker 1: made a significant and significant like improvement to my diet
• 11:03
Speaker 1: and my overall health. And so while you know, I'm
• 11:05
Speaker 1: just saying, when it comes to these things like I
• 11:07
Speaker 1: don't want to eat meat anymore, I totally get that,
• 11:09
Speaker 1: and I totally get that the entire like you know,
• 11:12
Speaker 1: meat industry is like, on the whole, really fucking evil.
• 11:16
Speaker 1: That said, if you want to have a stake every
• 11:19
Speaker 1: once in a while, taking your time down from like
• 11:22
  Speaker 1: four times a month to once a month, that's a
• 11:25
Speaker 1: huge reduction for you on its own. And I just
• 11:28
  Speaker 1: I think, of course, and I think that's important. I'm
• 11:30
Speaker 1: just saying, you're I totally agree with you, sure, but
• 11:34
Speaker 1: I think when you go down the rabbit hole of
• 11:36
Speaker 1: of of factory farming, yeah, it's hard to It's hard
• 11:40
Speaker 1: for me to ever go back. I I totally get it.
• 11:44
Speaker 1: And you know what I'm saying. If you want to
• 11:45
Speaker 1: go kill a deer in the woods and eat venison,
• 11:47
Speaker 1: that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the
• 11:49
Speaker 1: whole factory you knowing agriculture farming totally. And I know
• 11:53
Speaker 1: that this is a privilege in its own way. But
• 11:55
Speaker 1: every Sunday, me and Stephanie we go to the Hollywood
• 11:57
Speaker 1: Farmers Market over on Ivar, right next to where I'm
• 12:00
Speaker 1: Eba Music used to be rip and we only buy
• 12:03
Speaker 1: meat from this sustainable farm where sometimes we'll go and
• 12:06
Speaker 1: they're like, we don't have any pork products this week
• 12:09
Speaker 1: because we're reducing how how many you know, pigs were slaughtering.
• 12:12
Speaker 1: It's like we they they deliver food in a way
• 12:15
Speaker 1: that is still sustainable to their farm, and I know,
• 12:18
Speaker 1: again it's like this is such a small drop in
• 12:21
Speaker 1: the bucket of the entire world of factory farming. But
• 12:24
Speaker 1: there was something about hearing these people will be like,
• 12:25
Speaker 1: we don't have that this week, not because we're sold out,
• 12:28
Speaker 1: but because we are actively reducing the amount that we
• 12:31
Speaker 1: offer this product to keep our farms sustainable. Like that,
• 12:34
Speaker 1: to me is a practice that is a lot more
• 12:37
Speaker 1: helpful to the earth in general. So I just think,
• 12:39
Speaker 1: you know, being thinking about it sustainably rather than a
• 12:42
Speaker 1: one or zero binary about how you eat food, I
• 12:44
Speaker 1: think will help your mindset when it comes to being
• 12:48
Speaker 1: healthier in general. It doesn't need to be all or nothing.
• 12:51
Speaker 1: It's if you just change your perspective to it, that's
• 12:53
Speaker 1: all I'm saying. Sure, Yeah, that's zach Za. Okay, Casey
• 12:59
Speaker 1: came down. We're trying to a showy. Hey, um, it
• 13:04
Speaker 1: was lovely to have you over my home from a
• 13:06
Speaker 1: me Memorial day that was family. Such a great uh.
• 13:09
Speaker 1: It was a treat to see Carrie Brothers and his
• 13:13
Speaker 1: wife and your little girl jumping rope while there was
• 13:17
Speaker 1: showing off her romandicludes. What a good jump ropeer she's become.
• 13:20
Speaker 1: And she's really good, dude, she's gotten really she was
• 13:23
Speaker 1: doing tricks. Yeah, you know, she's like, she's like, my
• 13:28
Speaker 1: daughter is one of those girls that one of I
• 13:31
Speaker 1: should say, one of those humans. I don't want to
• 13:33
Speaker 1: put a I don't want to put a anything on it,
• 13:36
Speaker 1: but she's one of those humans that goes out there
• 13:38
Speaker 1: and if she really wants to do something, she's not
• 13:41
Speaker 1: gonna quit until she gets it done. And that's a
• 13:44
Speaker 1: quality that when I watch it, I'm like, where did
• 13:46
Speaker 1: she get that from? You know what I mean? Like
• 13:49
Speaker 1: sometimes I think she must have got this from her mother,
• 13:52
Speaker 1: because I'm not this hardcore into it, And then I
• 13:55
Speaker 1: think about my animation and stuff like that and how
• 13:57
Speaker 1: I started from, you know, not knowing how to do it,
• 14:01
Speaker 1: and how I'm I'm getting all right, I'm getting better now,
• 14:04
Speaker 1: and like this girl when it comes to anything hula hoop, jumping, rope, swimming, basketball,
• 14:10
Speaker 1: base whatever, whatever it is, if she really wants to
• 14:13
Speaker 1: do it, she's gonna put one hundred percent into it.
• 14:17
Speaker 1: And it's really refreshing to see. Rocco has just started.
• 14:23
Speaker 1: You know, we talked about this whole leadership thing and everything.
• 14:26
Speaker 1: I'm thank you for giving me the opportunity to brag
• 14:27
Speaker 1: about my kids. We talked about this whole leadership thing,
• 14:31
Speaker 1: and it really is starting to come through with you
• 14:34
Speaker 1: know what I mean, just with that little pep talk.
• 14:37
Speaker 1: I'm noticing it in everything now and how he talks
• 14:40
Speaker 1: to his friends and how he you know what I mean.
• 14:43
Speaker 1: Like they were doing a scrimmage the other day and
• 14:46
Speaker 1: they were losing, and you know, they scored, and then
• 14:52
Speaker 1: they scored again, and without the coach saying anything. The
• 14:57
Speaker 1: coach said two minutes left, Rocco goes, guys, we don't
• 15:01
Speaker 1: have to score anymore, we just have to stop them
• 15:04
Speaker 1: from scoring. Wow. And he said this like a bunch
• 15:08
Speaker 1: of times. He was like, everybody played defense. And it
• 15:11
Speaker 1: just blew me away that this kid had to know
• 15:14
Speaker 1: it all to freaking be like, all right, I understand
• 15:17
Speaker 1: the situation. I'm gonna lead us to victory. Instead of
• 15:21
Speaker 1: them not scoring again, Rockle kicks another goal. He gets
• 15:24
Speaker 1: an opportunity and he kicks another goal to win the game.
• 15:27
Speaker 1: And it was like, wow, dude, you know, come to
• 15:29
Speaker 1: a game. I want to come to a game. He
• 15:30
Speaker 1: has a game on Saturday. If you want to come
• 15:32
Speaker 1: to a game and you're not working, it's never too far.
• 15:36
Speaker 1: It's always in the it's always in the Los Angeles
• 15:38
Speaker 1: theory is there is there any sort of um um,
• 15:41
Speaker 1: what do you call it? Halftime show? Yeah? I do,
• 15:45
  Speaker 1: I do. I do a show where I put on
• 15:48
  Speaker 1: a bikini. I don't know much about I don't know
• 15:51
Speaker 1: about non professional sports. Dude. Happy pride, first of all, guys,
• 15:55
Speaker 1: Happy motherfucking to all those Uh, all those who celebrate pride,
• 16:01
Speaker 1: I bust out my pride. Nikes. I love him nice
• 16:04
Speaker 1: and beautiful they have they have not only a rainbow,
• 16:06
Speaker 1: but also sparkles. All right, beautiful. Um, Hooch is back.
• 16:13
Speaker 1: Not only is Hooch back, but Turner has arrived. Now.
• 16:16
Speaker 1: Turner is Tom Hanks's actual brother. Yes, um, you can
• 16:21
Speaker 1: tell even more so than in how he looks, but
• 16:24
Speaker 1: in his voice. He is the exact same voice that
• 16:26
Speaker 1: kind of sound alike. Yes, and I think is didn't
• 16:28
Speaker 1: we learn that there's certain things that Tom Hanks doesn't
• 16:31
Speaker 1: have time to do that he does like you know,
• 16:34
Speaker 1: he has, he has, he has, he does the that's cool. No,
• 16:37
Speaker 1: I think for certain like Tom Hanks might do like
• 16:40
Speaker 1: the obviously he's gonna do Toy Story movies. But if
• 16:43
Speaker 1: it's like Toy Story or the audio book, he like
• 16:46
Speaker 1: hands it off to his brother. Oh, I did not
• 16:48
Speaker 1: know that. Yeah, I remember hearing that at the time.
• 16:50
  Speaker 1: I did not know that. I don't know. That's a
• 16:52
Speaker 1: hundred percent true. That's what I remember hearing back in
• 16:54
Speaker 1: the day. And I wouldn't be surprised because he sounds
• 16:56
Speaker 1: on Joel can google it. I don't even know it
• 16:59
Speaker 1: might it might be top Sea. Maybe I just build
• 17:00
Speaker 1: the beans. But he does sound exactly like him. They do.
• 17:06
Speaker 1: I have never seen Turner and Who, neither of Iye,
• 17:09
Speaker 1: I know it's about a dog and Tom Hanks. Tom
• 17:11
Speaker 1: Hanks and a big dog. Yeah. I've never been a
• 17:13
Speaker 1: fan of movies about a guy and a dog. Me either,
• 17:18
Speaker 1: I just never tuned into any of them. You name
• 17:20
  Speaker 1: a movie about a guy and a dog, I've never
• 17:22
Speaker 1: seen it. Yes, same here. Uh. James Matthew hanks Wikipedia
• 17:27
Speaker 1: page says that he does do voice over work for
• 17:30
Speaker 1: his older brother Tom Hanks, most notably for a shuff
• 17:32
Speaker 1: What are you on? Talking toys and video games? There
• 17:34
Speaker 1: you go, video games. That's pretty cool. So if you're
• 17:38
Speaker 1: listening to those video games going, oh my god, it's
• 17:39
Speaker 1: Tom Hanks, it's not. I'm literally trying to think of
• 17:42
Speaker 1: a movie about a guy and a dog that I watched,
• 17:44
  Speaker 1: and I was I've never seen a movie about a
• 17:46
Speaker 1: guy and dog. I've also never I've never saw any
• 17:48
Speaker 1: any person any movie that's like a guy in an animal,
• 17:50
Speaker 1: like like the DJ and a Bear or the dog
• 17:54
Speaker 1: sledding movie with what's his name? No, no dogs. I've
• 17:59
Speaker 1: never seen what was the Clint Eastwood and the monkey
• 18:01
Speaker 1: one I never saw saw Marley and me saw I
• 18:07
Speaker 1: saw Mary and I couldn't understand why everybody was crying.
• 18:11
Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, there, it's the whole life of
• 18:15
Speaker 1: the dog. And I'll take it back when I was
• 18:17
Speaker 1: a kid. Dog It's beautiful. I'll take it back when
• 18:20
Speaker 1: I was a kid. I did see Sounder, the black
• 18:22
Speaker 1: oh yellow back. What's the name of what's the name
• 18:29
Speaker 1: of the way with the orangon Tang and Clin Eastwood
• 18:31
Speaker 1: BJ and the bear. No, it would be be a bear,
• 18:34
Speaker 1: not a monkey. No, the bears. The bear is Clint
• 18:36
Speaker 1: Eastwood and BJ is the monkey or something like that.
• 18:39
Speaker 1: I thought it had a better title than when they're
• 18:41
Speaker 1: in the truck or something like the Truckersuckers is the orangon?
• 18:45
Speaker 1: Is the orangon haanng? And truck? I don't know. I
• 18:47
Speaker 1: don't every which way but loose which way? But lose
• 18:50
Speaker 1: every which way but lose. Yeah, those are the images
• 18:53
Speaker 1: I'm seeing here. What is there in a truck with
• 18:55
Speaker 1: an orangon tang? What is BJ and the bear? Then
• 18:58
Speaker 1: I want to type that in it. I'm trying anything
• 19:00
Speaker 1: I've ever seen a movie with a person Ye, dogs
• 19:03
Speaker 1: the Star. I didn't see the most recent Harrison Ford one. Yeah.
• 19:08
Speaker 1: BJ and the Bear is the same type of thing
• 19:10
Speaker 1: it's with, uh, somebody else and a monkey? Hell is that?
• 19:17
Speaker 1: And it's got all of the same things it's got
• 19:21
Speaker 1: would do too much, Greg V it's a teller. It
• 19:24
Speaker 1: was a television show. BJ and the Bear was a
• 19:26
Speaker 1: television show, and it had all of the fixings like,
• 19:28
Speaker 1: you know, the cop that looks like Jackie Gleason, the
• 19:33
Speaker 1: hot blonde girl, uh, and then the dude in the
• 19:37
Speaker 1: truck with the monkey. Okay, but it reared on NBC
• 19:42
Speaker 1: from February tenth, nineteen seventy nine to May ninth, nineteen
• 19:47
Speaker 1: eighty one. B J and the Bear created by we
• 19:49
Speaker 1: can't talk about because we don't have that much time.
• 19:51
Speaker 1: But maybe that's what we should do. We watch a
• 19:53
Speaker 1: BJ and the Bear. I found a genre. I found
• 19:57
Speaker 1: a genre that none of us have ever seen. An
• 20:00
Speaker 1: animal I don't know. And also the CGI animals that
• 20:12
Speaker 1: are starting to take over. I think they're so they're
• 20:14
Speaker 1: so weird. They don't look big thumbs down from me,
• 20:16
Speaker 1: you know. I saw Cruella and and I thought the
• 20:19
Speaker 1: CGI animals looked weird. What did you think of Cruella?
• 20:25
  Speaker 1: I don't want to. I don't want to talk about
• 20:26
Speaker 1: it on the air. We'll talk about it privately. I
• 20:30
Speaker 1: didn't not see you, Krula, But all I can say
• 20:31
Speaker 1: that they did not need to remake Lion King like that,
• 20:33
Speaker 1: despite the soundtrack being incredible, all of those like emotionless
• 20:36
Speaker 1: CGI animals to try and recreate the emotion you got
• 20:39
Speaker 1: from the original Disney movie was a waste of VFX money.
• 20:42
Speaker 1: In my personal I got to say that when I
• 20:43
Speaker 1: was on set the other day with my friend the rottweiler,
• 20:45
Speaker 1: I was I said, when he wasn't doing he was
• 20:48
Speaker 1: supposed to. I was like, you know, nowadays these are
• 20:51
Speaker 1: starting to become CGI dollars, and the trainer, the trainer
• 20:55
Speaker 1: was like, and I was sorry. And that was when
• 20:59
Speaker 1: the dog, bitch the dog, the dog was not doing
• 21:05
Speaker 1: as was supposed to, And I was like, haven't we
• 21:07
Speaker 1: learned a lesson about this? All right? So this was
• 21:10
  Speaker 1: very funny. I don't even I didn't understand why everybody
• 21:13
Speaker 1: hated hates Turk and JD. In the beginning, like we're
• 21:15
Speaker 1: walking down the hall trying to give high fives to
• 21:17
Speaker 1: people and they're getting well because we think we are
• 21:20
Speaker 1: king shit at the hospital, right. We are so feeling
• 21:22
Speaker 1: ourselves at this point, and we have all these jokes
• 21:25
Speaker 1: and we think we're the cool kids, and we have
• 21:28
Speaker 1: done so much. I mean, we put so much effort
• 21:31
Speaker 1: into just getting Turner and Hooch on the same surgical procedure.
• 21:35
Speaker 1: We've really gone out of our way just to be
• 21:38
Speaker 1: able to say turner and hooch and then fold our
• 21:40
Speaker 1: arms and put our backs back to back like we planned.
• 21:45
Speaker 1: I don't get these two. They plan so well, they're
• 21:50
Speaker 1: so strategic and just getting just to have that one
• 21:53
Speaker 1: moment where they can go turner and hooch and go
• 21:56
Speaker 1: back to back. And so Whoch is already sick of
• 21:58
Speaker 1: this ship and he he's like, everybody hates you guys,
• 22:02
Speaker 1: which is a really harsh thing to say. Who but
• 22:03
Speaker 1: he knows, he knows how to cut us where it hurts,
• 22:05
Speaker 1: because we really want to be liked. But then we're like,
• 22:08
Speaker 1: which is crazy. Yeah? Um? And then all right, so
• 22:11
Speaker 1: then we cut to you and carl it in therapy.
• 22:14
Speaker 1: Now this ship was hilarious. Carla reveals that you cry
• 22:16
Speaker 1: after you orgasm. Yeah, and and right away we answer
• 22:21
Speaker 1: that right away, we freaking U we call that joke back.
• 22:25
Speaker 1: I know it's so funny, but I have to say
• 22:28
  Speaker 1: that I remember a lie. I guess it's in a
• 22:29
Speaker 1: different episode where I go, there's no shame in crime axing. No,
• 22:35
  Speaker 1: I don't know how. I don't know how that line
• 22:37
Speaker 1: is not in this episode. But I guess you're crying
• 22:40
Speaker 1: after orgasming comes back up, because I do at one
• 22:43
Speaker 1: point say there's no shame in crime axing, right, but
• 22:47
Speaker 1: it happens right away. Dude. It's like I come out
• 22:51
Speaker 1: of we come out of the on call room, and
• 22:55
Speaker 1: you go, why are you crying? I go, no reason, Yeah,
• 22:58
Speaker 1: And it is so fun it's just so that joke
• 23:00
Speaker 1: pays off that I cry after I bust, Oh my god,
• 23:05
Speaker 1: after he bus, after he I'm talking about um. Listen,
• 23:09
Speaker 1: how about when I've announced that I'm gonna move out
• 23:12
  Speaker 1: and I'm consoling a couple, and I'm consoling a couple
• 23:17
Speaker 1: who's just lost their father, And I say, was he
• 23:20
Speaker 1: lucky enough to enjoy a washer and dryer and while
• 23:25
Speaker 1: he was alive in his unit? Yeah? And then any
• 23:29
Speaker 1: mention of any hot neighborgh JD is such a dick sometimes. Well,
• 23:36
Speaker 1: this is why they're not liked in the hospital. I'm guessing. Okay, now,
• 23:40
Speaker 1: how about Sam hitting his fucking bike on the entryway door.
• 23:43
Speaker 1: That was so funny and then he got tangled up
• 23:45
Speaker 1: in the frame. Sam that Sam had a lot of
• 23:50
Speaker 1: funny physical comedy, uh in this one, but that one
• 23:53
Speaker 1: was amazing. He he just fucking nails the door and
• 23:57
Speaker 1: then falls back. I guess onto him apps that you
• 24:00
Speaker 1: can't see because he gets tangled in the frame. That
• 24:03
Speaker 1: she was so funny. Um, Elliot's getting anxious. I didn't
• 24:07
Speaker 1: realize that she was horny. She's not anxious. She's horny.
• 24:13
Speaker 1: She could but she could fuck JD, can't she? Oh? No,
• 24:16
  Speaker 1: they have they're done. They're friends. That's finally they're finally
• 24:18
Speaker 1: back to to like copa set. Okay, and she wants
• 24:24
Speaker 1: the D. I'm just saying they're both single. If she
• 24:26
Speaker 1: wants the D, she knows where to look, dude. She's
• 24:28
Speaker 1: on the hunt for d she do you see what
• 24:29
Speaker 1: she does to the hot blonde check that tries to
• 24:32
Speaker 1: meet the guest star. She tells her that her mom died. Yeah,
• 24:39
Speaker 1: she says, Oh, it's Jake and played by Josh Randall,
• 24:41
Speaker 1: who was very good, by the way, and Josh Randall
• 24:44
Speaker 1: did a very funny job. But um, Sarah comes, Josh
• 24:49
Speaker 1: Randad walks in and then right before Sarah can even
• 24:51
Speaker 1: talk to him, the other woman comes in and she's like,
• 24:54
Speaker 1: I got this. And the woman's like, I'm good, and
• 24:56
Speaker 1: she goes, your mom's dead. Yeah yeah, runs off crying. Yes,
• 25:02
Speaker 1: that's how much Elliot is ready for some d Elliot
• 25:06
Speaker 1: wants that day. My kids are on their way home
• 25:11
Speaker 1: right now and they're crying because it was the last
• 25:13
Speaker 1: day of school. Oh yeah, Oh that's good. That means
• 25:18
Speaker 1: they love school, which is good. They do love school.
• 25:20
Speaker 1: Crying anyway, Um, what about when Todd goes nurse suction?
• 25:26
Speaker 1: She goes because no, patient's not even here yet, and
• 25:28
Speaker 1: he goes, yea, I know, I know. How is he
• 25:31
Speaker 1: not fired? How does he not get fired? How does
• 25:35
Speaker 1: he not get fired? Oh? No, And I guess you
• 25:36
Speaker 1: can't do that joke anymore. But it is funny. Come on,
• 25:39
Speaker 1: that's funny. I thought it was funny too. Hey. Speaking
• 25:42
Speaker 1: of funny, Scott Harris wants to come on the show
• 25:44
Speaker 1: after he heard about he said he needs to defend himself.
• 25:48
Speaker 1: He says, him getting hurt on set, I guess is defensible.
• 25:53
Speaker 1: And I'm not sure that Harris just wants to come
• 25:56
Speaker 1: on the podcast, because a lot of you want to
• 25:58
Speaker 1: come on the podcast. Someone told me that they walk
• 26:01
Speaker 1: Someone wrote in my DMS that they walk around the
• 26:03
Speaker 1: house singing Charles PEPPERD All Balls and No Shaft, And
• 26:08
  Speaker 1: I just I think it's so funny that they don't
• 26:10
Speaker 1: know Charles Pepper, they've never met Charles Pepper, and they're
• 26:13
Speaker 1: walking around singing that in their house. He's so proud
• 26:16
Speaker 1: of that song. Dude, I told you he didn't. Yeah,
• 26:18
Speaker 1: he's so proud of it. I went to work, Well,
• 26:20
  Speaker 1: he's proud to have a song. You know. I wouldn't
• 26:22
Speaker 1: have no idea if he's if he's all balls in
• 26:25
Speaker 1: the dude. I went to work and he was there,
• 26:27
Speaker 1: and he was like, there he is guys, Donald do it.
• 26:31
Speaker 1: And I was like, what he's like sing them the song?
• 26:34
Speaker 1: I was like, get the funk out of sing them
• 26:36
Speaker 1: the song? But and I was like, Charles pepperd all
• 26:40
Speaker 1: Balls and No Shaft And he's like, see, I told
• 26:44
Speaker 1: you there was a song. He was so happy about it.
• 26:47
Speaker 1: There you go, There you go. But how about our
• 26:50
Speaker 1: caller last week? That was insane? I can't get my
• 26:52
Speaker 1: out of my mind. Dude, I loved it. It was
• 26:54
Speaker 1: such funny, cringey radio. But I just can't stop thinking
• 26:58
Speaker 1: about that poor guy and how I don't know, I
• 27:01
Speaker 1: came away thinking bad for him. Well you know him, well,
• 27:07
Speaker 1: you know, he seemed to be very happy in his religion.
• 27:10
Speaker 1: Seem to mind it. But you know what the wind
• 27:12
Speaker 1: But I didn't ask is or didn't get into the
• 27:15
Speaker 1: next time they're on. I want to get into, like,
• 27:17
Speaker 1: maybe you're turned on by this. Maybe you know, some
• 27:20
Speaker 1: people aren't turned on by by this, and maybe he's
• 27:23
Speaker 1: one of them. Maybe because he it just seems like
• 27:26
Speaker 1: there's a missing piece. No, yeah, I mean it seemed
• 27:31
Speaker 1: like it seemed like the fact that he was all
• 27:33
Speaker 1: right with it and that the dude still comes over,
• 27:35
Speaker 1: you know, yeah, and and but there are dudes and
• 27:38
Speaker 1: gals who get turned on by seeing their partner have
• 27:42
Speaker 1: sex with a friend. Totally. Can I have to ask
• 27:47
Speaker 1: you a question? Why are you changing the subject? I'm
• 27:50
Speaker 1: not going to pitch this team in casey oh my,
• 27:57
  Speaker 1: that's what I'm talking about. No, I just didn't understand.
• 28:06
  Speaker 1: I just didn't understand why j D is such a moron.
• 28:09
  Speaker 1: Like j D's a moron in this entire episode, j
• 28:14
Speaker 1: D's a moron. You could dance your way from Old Zealand.
• 28:19
Speaker 1: It was funny, butphy. But by the way, I don't
• 28:22
Speaker 1: know geography either. I gotta say the American public school
• 28:26
Speaker 1: system and at least in the state of New Jersey,
• 28:29
Speaker 1: I think we spent two weeks on geography. I don't
• 28:31
Speaker 1: know geography at all. Dude, you went to Northwestern hard
• 28:36
Speaker 1: you don't take geography in Northwestern I can. I suppose
• 28:38
Speaker 1: you could, but I didn't. It never comes up. I really,
• 28:43
Speaker 1: if you gave me an empty map in the United States,
• 28:47
Speaker 1: could you draw? Would you legit know everywhere every state goes? No,
• 28:52
Speaker 1: not every state but Danel? Would you if you all right?
• 28:55
Speaker 1: Are the state lines drawn out? Yeah? Like I think
• 28:59
Speaker 1: I could get over forty for sure. Yeah, over forty.
• 29:03
  Speaker 1: I could probably get forty. I don't know if i'd
• 29:05
Speaker 1: get fifty. Yeah, But I say where it isn't that horrible?
• 29:09
Speaker 1: I mean, how is that possible? Have you been to
• 29:13
Speaker 1: every state? Have you been to every state? In me?
• 29:16
Speaker 1: But I feel like at forty six. I feel like,
• 29:19
Speaker 1: if you've been to every state in America IDJ for
• 29:23
Speaker 1: ten years, Donald, I've been to I've been to every
• 29:25
Speaker 1: state in the United States. He's like, I've done M
• 29:26
Speaker 1: DMA in every state. Okay, we'll knock that down a
• 29:32
Speaker 1: few states. But sure, um no I I but okay,
• 29:38
Speaker 1: I I know where New Zealand is. I certainly am
• 29:41
Speaker 1: not good with my European South American. I know Italy,
• 29:46
Speaker 1: I know Asia. I could sometimes get Asia and the
• 29:51
Speaker 1: USS are kind of confused because they're connected. There's no
• 29:54
Speaker 1: even not even a USSR anymore on a continent. Yeah,
• 29:58
Speaker 1: I would. I guarantee you all four of us would
• 30:02
Speaker 1: be humbled and embarrassed if we were given a world
• 30:06
Speaker 1: map with empty countries. Said, oh Jesus. Yeah. Now meanwhile,
• 30:12
Speaker 1: in other countries, they're like speaking four languages. They you know,
• 30:16
Speaker 1: we suck. But anyway, Todd did amateur porn. Oh my god,
• 30:22
Speaker 1: that was so funny. I wrote that town. Hold on,
• 30:25
Speaker 1: let me write the words. He goes, um, you're you're
• 30:29
Speaker 1: in therapy, and he goes, I don't know how. I
• 30:30
Speaker 1: don't know, I don't know how you do it? Make
• 30:33
Speaker 1: love with your lady while some old dude is filming
• 30:36
Speaker 1: you and you go, Todd, that's not a couple's therapy.
• 30:39
Speaker 1: And he goes, then what did I do? And you go,
• 30:41
Speaker 1: you did amateur porn and he goes, sweet, you're jumping
• 30:50
Speaker 1: all around. You gotta go back. Okay, Um, the thing
• 30:53
Speaker 1: is I laughed so much. I wrote so much shit down.
• 30:55
Speaker 1: It's like two shows worth of laughter. We'll be right
• 30:58
Speaker 1: back after these words, and we're bad translate this show,
• 31:11
Speaker 1: Joel into Russian. Um, yeah, okay, here's why why scrubs
• 31:18
Speaker 1: is huge in Russia. I don't know if you knew
• 31:20
Speaker 1: that is I heart huge Russian. No, but maybe they
• 31:23
Speaker 1: have an affiliate. And here's the thing. The percentage that
• 31:27
Speaker 1: are fluent in English, I think is I infer is
• 31:30
Speaker 1: lower than other countries where we are popular, like Germany
• 31:35
Speaker 1: or Australia or Italy. But my point is, um, I
• 31:40
Speaker 1: know we have so many Russian fans that would love
• 31:43
Speaker 1: to listen to this, but they don't speak English anyway,
• 31:46
Speaker 1: just an idea, Joel, let's I will investigate. I know
• 31:50
Speaker 1: we can do a transcription of it. No, I just wonder,
• 31:54
Speaker 1: I just wonder. I don't know how you do it.
• 31:55
Speaker 1: I guess you'd have to. You'd have to hire somebody
• 31:58
Speaker 1: to hire Russians. But that's what they do with scrubs
• 32:00
Speaker 1: sleeve in any show. They I hope they get the
• 32:03
Speaker 1: same guy that does my voice on the show that
• 32:05
Speaker 1: they do. They know that in every country. I don't
• 32:07
Speaker 1: know if we've mentioned this, in every country, once you're assigned,
• 32:09
Speaker 1: once you become a known actor, you're sort of assigned
• 32:12
Speaker 1: of a voice that's always you. Well, I truly hope
• 32:17
Speaker 1: that I'm getting that guy some work. Yeah, why why
• 32:24
Speaker 1: why did I laugh so hard at the Brown Hulk?
• 32:26
Speaker 1: That was hilarious, I know, but why did I laugh? So?
• 32:29
Speaker 1: That shit had me rolland for some reason, like I
• 32:32
Speaker 1: was Rolland you don't realize that you're punching me because
• 32:36
Speaker 1: you're still mad about the kiss, so you're just destroying
• 32:40
Speaker 1: my arm and I'm like, wow, you're like Brown Hulk.
• 32:43
Speaker 1: So um so now listen, um I I get every
• 32:51
Speaker 1: cotton ball in the entire hospital in this fantasy to
• 32:53
Speaker 1: make this woman comfortable. I thought this was a funny
• 32:56
  Speaker 1: plot line. She's she's, she's she's nearing the end of
• 33:00
Speaker 1: her life and trying to decide what to do. But
• 33:03
Speaker 1: she she can't remember that JD is her doctor, and
• 33:06
Speaker 1: she just wants her a handsome neighbor, to decide and uh,
• 33:11
Speaker 1: and it's kind to the point of like, we're gonna
• 33:13
Speaker 1: make it comfortable. What does that even mean? And they
• 33:14
Speaker 1: cut to her in a room full of cotton balls.
• 33:17
Speaker 1: I imagine that would be comfortable. It would be nice.
• 33:19
Speaker 1: Probably not a nice morphine, but right, morphine's probably betterphine.
• 33:23
Speaker 1: I worked with the young lady that played Betty. Uh,
• 33:26
Speaker 1: she did. She was in a lot of things, actually,
• 33:29
Speaker 1: but we did Clueless together back in a day and
• 33:32
Speaker 1: she played a nurse um and really, yeah, it was
• 33:36
Speaker 1: just really interesting that, you know, I didn't have any Ellen.
• 33:40
Speaker 1: Ellen Albertini is her name. Wasn't she a great job?
• 33:43
Speaker 1: Wasn't she also in h Adam Sandler movie? I don't know,
• 33:51
Speaker 1: but David Singer David Feinberg wrote this. It's another example,
• 33:57
Speaker 1: like the episode before of it not being one of
• 33:59
Speaker 1: the regular writers in the writer's room, and they farmed
• 34:01
Speaker 1: this one out to a man named David Feinberg, who
• 34:03
Speaker 1: neither of us have ever met. And it was directed
• 34:05
Speaker 1: by the legendary TV comedy director Ken Winningham. I love it.
• 34:10
Speaker 1: I love when Kenn directs, um, so, yeah, I say,
• 34:15
Speaker 1: the four hour trip to New Zealand and you don't
• 34:18
Speaker 1: even know where New Zealand is, And I say, you
• 34:21
Speaker 1: can dance your way there from Old Zealand, which is
• 34:24
Speaker 1: the dumbest fucking joke, but I laughed. But after the
• 34:28
Speaker 1: dude decides, you know, for the lady, her brother comes
• 34:32
Speaker 1: and sues him. Did you notice at the act break
• 34:35
Speaker 1: he's walking back into frame accidentally, the dude who played
• 34:40
Speaker 1: the brother if you look at if you look at it,
• 34:43
Speaker 1: he walks out and then with your ad lib when
• 34:48
Speaker 1: your ad lib is going, he's I guess maybe they
• 34:51
Speaker 1: said cut and you still probably thought the ken was
• 34:53
Speaker 1: over and I was riffing, and he came back and
• 34:55
Speaker 1: he's walking back into frame. Well maybe the character had
• 34:58
Speaker 1: more to say about um, oh my god, this was
• 35:02
Speaker 1: so funny. When the janitor comes in holding an old
• 35:06
Speaker 1: woman to try and get Elliott's attention, and he goes, Elliot,
• 35:10
Speaker 1: my neighbor fainted too, and she's like, hey man, I
• 35:14
Speaker 1: thought we were over this, and he goes, yeah, sorry's
• 35:15
Speaker 1: worth a try, and he goes, well, he will put
• 35:17
Speaker 1: her back in her room. He goes, she's not a patient.
• 35:19
Speaker 1: I got her at the mall and he goes. He goes,
• 35:23
Speaker 1: I better get you back to the food court. Your
• 35:25
Speaker 1: husband's probably about to come to by now, which means
• 35:28
Speaker 1: he not taught her husband. Yeah, with a bat because
• 35:35
Speaker 1: he's walking around the Janner's insane. This episode, he's collected
• 35:40
Speaker 1: rats from the roof and he puts a dead one
• 35:44
Speaker 1: in the bag amongst all the loving ones, so that
• 35:48
Speaker 1: all the living ones know that they should tow the
• 35:50
Speaker 1: line or they're gonna get killed by him. And they
• 35:53
Speaker 1: all escape the bag and run rampant through the hospital. Yes,
• 35:57
Speaker 1: and he starts chasing them all around with the metal
• 36:00
Speaker 1: a pink metal bat or an illuminum bat. Yeah. Elliott
• 36:05
Speaker 1: has a vo in the middle of nowhere in this episode.
• 36:06
Speaker 1: I forgot that sometimes Bill just gives the vo to
• 36:09
Speaker 1: to someone who's not voice over. In that episode, she
• 36:12
Speaker 1: even did the look away. Yeah, like d to remember
• 36:16
Speaker 1: what Cox told her about ignoring boys. Yeah, by the way,
• 36:20
Speaker 1: it works instantly the second Cox is like, you're you're
• 36:23
Speaker 1: playing it like you're playing wrong. Just ignore him and
• 36:25
Speaker 1: he'll like you. She ignores him for two seconds and
• 36:27
Speaker 1: then he's like, she's cute. I've laughed so hard at
• 36:30
Speaker 1: freaking the janitor. They're smart, they're organized, and they've got
• 36:34
Speaker 1: my keys. That shit, they're smart, they're organized and they've
• 36:43
Speaker 1: got my keys. Oh my god, Yeah, I'm gonna get
• 36:48
Speaker 1: what is this? Here's my Oh so, this was so funny.
• 36:51
Speaker 1: So then Sam comes to be to be the Josh
• 36:54
Speaker 1: Randall's character's lawyer. Here's my card, and he goes, this
• 36:58
Speaker 1: is a post it and he goes, I don't get
• 37:00
Speaker 1: real cards until I win a kise and then he
• 37:04
Speaker 1: reads the posted it says buy groceries, kill self. Yeah. Yeah,
• 37:10
Speaker 1: they're dark jokes. Dark joke. Sorry, guys. A long time ago,
• 37:15
Speaker 1: I laughed at Mustache Sunday and then you me walking up.
• 37:19
Speaker 1: I thought must that Sunday was on. I thought it
• 37:22
Speaker 1: was it was on next week, and you go, I did.
• 37:26
Speaker 1: I didn't do this, freaking Kelso did it. Wait a second,
• 37:28
Speaker 1: you invited Kelso to Mustache Sunday. We have so many games, yeah,
• 37:32
Speaker 1: so many. What do you think Mustache Sunday is? We
• 37:34
Speaker 1: draw mustaches on each other? Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, and
• 37:40
Speaker 1: we think really really hard all week of what type
• 37:43
Speaker 1: of stash the other person should have for Mustache Sunday.
• 37:46
Speaker 1: You know, we probably go to restaurants and order fancy
• 37:49
Speaker 1: drinks and shiites with with our fancy mustaches. Yes, they're smart,
• 37:54
Speaker 1: they're organized, and they've got my keys. That made me
• 37:58
Speaker 1: laugh so hard. The rats stole his keys. Joel um
• 38:03
Speaker 1: all here, Yeah, we should probably go to Break color.
• 38:06
Speaker 1: All right, we're gonna gona break and be right back
• 38:07
Speaker 1: with a really fun color. We promise you. It's not
• 38:09
Speaker 1: about wife swapping. And we're back. We're back, and so
• 38:19
Speaker 1: is the high pitched thing that Daniel is worried about.
• 38:23
Speaker 1: High pitched noise that Daniel can't get rid of, noise
• 38:27
Speaker 1: that Donald can't get rid of. All right, let's play
• 38:29
Speaker 1: the song, Daniel, we got a call, gave us all
• 38:35
Speaker 1: you can talk star watch show dudes, you know, like
• 38:37
Speaker 1: a bolla spoke some z maybe talking about the episode.
• 38:43
Speaker 1: So come on, Joe, let's get the show. I love
• 38:56
Speaker 1: that song, dude, I love the great song. It's not
• 38:58
Speaker 1: as good as high pitched noise that Dan can't get
• 39:00
Speaker 1: rid of. Let's bring him in. Say hi to Salvador Cruise,
• 39:08
Speaker 1: Salvador cru Bi Salvador. Hi. Oh my god, I'm very nervous.
• 39:24
  Speaker 1: Don't be nervous. It's just it's right. It's just Joel
• 39:30
Speaker 1: and Daniel, that's all. And the biggest deepcome ever that's true. Yes,
• 39:38
Speaker 1: bigger than bigger than friends. Cheers show Yessten the two thousands,
• 39:46
Speaker 1: you're the biggest, and I agree with Where are you
• 39:49
Speaker 1: calling us from? I'm from Mexico, Mexico, and welcome, sir.
• 39:55
Speaker 1: We're very glad you're here. And um, we're honored you
• 39:57
Speaker 1: joined us. Um. Do you have a question for us?
• 40:00
Speaker 1: Anything we can answer? I do. First, I want to
• 40:03
Speaker 1: say a little about me. I'm an English teacher. I
• 40:07
Speaker 1: wasn't an ESL teacher English second language teacher, so when
• 40:13
Speaker 1: I was studying university, I decided to become a teacher
• 40:17
Speaker 1: because I said, like, I really want to help people.
• 40:21
Speaker 1: Back in two thousand and five, two thousand and six,
• 40:23
Speaker 1: I was in high school and Scrubs was the biggest
• 40:26
Speaker 1: thing on television in the United States, not in Mexico,
• 40:31
Speaker 1: so I had to use internet to watch YouTube, sorry,
• 40:37
Speaker 1: to watch Scrubs illegally. And the dynamic between Jady and
• 40:43
Speaker 1: doctor Cox teacher student, father son, friend, friend, it's like
• 40:51
Speaker 1: an amazing thing. And I want to say, like, thank
• 40:53
Speaker 1: you so much for that relationship that helped me being
• 40:57
Speaker 1: a teacher and being like I want to be like
• 41:00
Speaker 1: Zach caring so much, and I want to be like
• 41:02
Speaker 1: Cox caring so much too. Like when you have to cry,
• 41:06
Speaker 1: you cry. When you have to be harsh, you have
• 41:09
Speaker 1: to be harsh and all that. So, Salvador, did you
• 41:12
Speaker 1: ever yell at your students like Cox yelled at me?
• 41:15
  Speaker 1: I haven't. But I haven't only been a teacher for
• 41:20
  Speaker 1: twelve years. I don't know what's going what's happening. And
• 41:23
Speaker 1: you're a young man, so you are you still teaching
• 41:27
Speaker 1: English now? Yes? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Now we're like
• 41:31
Speaker 1: we're having these zoom meetings like with my students too.
• 41:34
Speaker 1: And I'm working on my own project that is my
• 41:37
Speaker 1: own English school, and I'm working with all the material
• 41:40
Speaker 1: and all that, and I'm trying and I hope to
• 41:43
Speaker 1: use this as a like an activity that I can
• 41:48
Speaker 1: work with my students. That's amazing. Well, that's a great idea.
• 41:52
Speaker 1: By the way, it might it must have eventually come
• 41:54
Speaker 1: to Mexico, because Donald and I did a trip to
• 41:57
Speaker 1: Mexico that was season two Guadalajara, So it must have
• 42:00
Speaker 1: eventually been translated and come right, yeah, you wanted to
• 42:02
Speaker 1: watch it in English, that's what you're saying exactly, and
• 42:05
Speaker 1: like to and to be like cut up like in
• 42:07
Speaker 1: the United States because you watch the videos like next
• 42:10
Speaker 1: Week in the United States and it's like, oh, I
• 42:12
Speaker 1: want to be like cut up like now on Netflix,
• 42:15
Speaker 1: HBO and et that is like every day every week
• 42:19
Speaker 1: is like Worldwilde, Like you have to be like that
• 42:23
Speaker 1: like on the internet, like you must you must have
• 42:25
Speaker 1: noticed because you're fluent in both languages, you must have
• 42:28
Speaker 1: noticed some funny places where the things didn't translate perfectly
• 42:31
Speaker 1: and they had to adapt it, right, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, totally.
• 42:35
Speaker 1: I really really really, uh like I been bilingual like
• 42:40
Speaker 1: probably all my life, like since I was like eight
• 42:43
Speaker 1: or nine years old, so uh like that helped me
• 42:47
Speaker 1: a lot, like getting the punts, like the jokes like
• 42:51
Speaker 1: on scrubs, Like that's like very very very like it
• 42:54
Speaker 1: makes it funnier actually yeah right yeah right. Um well,
• 42:58
Speaker 1: that's awesome, man. We're very glad to have you and
• 43:00
Speaker 1: um and and we love hearing that was popular in
• 43:03
Speaker 1: uh in other countries and um and Donald and I
• 43:06
Speaker 1: have had a lot of fun in Mexico. Must ever
• 43:08
Speaker 1: times multiple times he gets hausy there because he drinks
• 43:11
Speaker 1: too much and he gets I got so drunk in Mexico.
• 43:14
Speaker 1: He doesn't know how to pay some one thing about Donald.
• 43:16
Speaker 1: He doesn't pace well in Mexico. He goes hard, he
• 43:19
Speaker 1: goes hard, and he's done by one. Oh my gosh
• 43:22
Speaker 1: PM like several times Mexico City, Icabo Son Lucas. No,
• 43:27
Speaker 1: it doesn't matter anyway. Yeah, I got oh dupe to
• 43:32
Speaker 1: choose my language. Teacher, don't curse in front of the
• 43:35
Speaker 1: teacher asks face, no, no, no. It's like, oh yeah,
• 43:37
Speaker 1: he said, it's okay. Listen, I haven't shina nose sorr
• 43:45
Speaker 1: swat ears whoa wow, take your ears and he called
• 43:59
Speaker 1: swat ears. You know, I call you twas because I
• 44:04
Speaker 1: want to take your ears And oh, oh, oh my god,
• 44:12
Speaker 1: I gotta tell you something. Remember I mentioned the eight
• 44:14
Speaker 1: year old on my on sher brother doesn't that loves what.
• 44:17
Speaker 1: He came up to me and he goes, thank you
• 44:19
Speaker 1: so much for mentioning me on the podcast. And it
• 44:22
Speaker 1: was the last it was last week's episode. I was like,
• 44:24
Speaker 1: you're listening to the bug and he's like, yeah, I
• 44:29
Speaker 1: love it so much. It's so funny. And I'm like,
• 44:34
Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. Children all right, Salvin, or what's your
• 44:38
Speaker 1: question please? For Donald or for me, mister Twatters, actually
• 44:42
Speaker 1: for like both of you. Like there was a Friends reunion,
• 44:46
Speaker 1: right and it was like super big broke the Internet
• 44:50
Speaker 1: and obviously and all that, Like is there going to
• 44:54
Speaker 1: be a Scrubs reunion like that? And if so, what
• 44:58
Speaker 1: are like some of the guests people like there have
• 45:01
Speaker 1: to be like there I must The problem with the
• 45:05
Speaker 1: problem with the Scrubs reunion is that the hospital doesn't
• 45:08
Speaker 1: exist anymore, Like the main character, one of the main
• 45:11
Speaker 1: characters of the show is completely gone, and so it
• 45:14
Speaker 1: would be really hard to recreate you know, the nurses station,
• 45:18
Speaker 1: the you know what I mean. They could build a set.
• 45:21
Speaker 1: That's not that's not what's stopping us from doing. No,
• 45:24
Speaker 1: but I'm saying that was a big thing, like the
• 45:26
Speaker 1: big thing about the from what I understand from because
• 45:29
Speaker 1: you know, I've never I'm not a huge fan of Friends,
• 45:33
Speaker 1: but my wife loved the show, and uh she said
• 45:38
Speaker 1: it was really emotional for her to watch them walk
• 45:40
Speaker 1: into the apartment and walk into the boys apartment and
• 45:43
Speaker 1: into the you know, and she said that was a
• 45:46
Speaker 1: big you know, those sets were huge for that show,
• 45:49
Speaker 1: and you know, I just feel like we'd be doing
• 45:53
Speaker 1: a disservice if we just sat in a room, a
• 45:56
Speaker 1: black room or whatever color room and talk about the
• 45:59
Speaker 1: show and we're not in the hospital anymore. Scrubs the
• 46:03
Speaker 1: Black Room Reunion, I am. Yeah, we can get the
• 46:05
Speaker 1: trip to Mexico. I I think, Salvador. What's more likely.
• 46:10
Speaker 1: What I'm actively working on is uh is me and
• 46:13
Speaker 1: Donald and Bill doing a project together. UM. I would
• 46:18
Speaker 1: love to do. We get asked this question a lot.
• 46:21
Speaker 1: I'd love to do something with the whole gang from Scrubs. Um,
• 46:25
Speaker 1: if we can, if someone can line it up. I
• 46:27
Speaker 1: think probably the biggest thing that impedes it is that
• 46:29
Speaker 1: Bill Lawrence, who would have to do the whole thing,
• 46:32
Speaker 1: is so busy. No, I'm saying that we could all
• 46:38
Speaker 1: as actors. We could schedule two months whatever to be
• 46:41
Speaker 1: in a Scrubs thing, of course, but Bill, who would
• 46:44
Speaker 1: have to create it, is so swamped that I just
• 46:46
Speaker 1: don't just be frank. I don't see it happening anytime soon.
• 46:50
Speaker 1: But I am really um working on this top secret
• 46:53
Speaker 1: project UM for me, Donald and Bill that I'm that
• 46:56
  Speaker 1: I'm really excited about. I think that's that's that's to me,
• 46:59
Speaker 1: that's more realistic to happening anytime soon, right, Donald, I
• 47:02
Speaker 1: agree with you. I think that would be I think
• 47:04
Speaker 1: that's probably the way you would see a reunion, whether
• 47:07
Speaker 1: it be you know, Zach and I putting together a
• 47:10
Speaker 1: show and then bringing everybody from Scrubs at one point
• 47:13
Speaker 1: onto the show, right or uh, or you know me
• 47:17
Speaker 1: maybe or us maybe guest starring on one of their shows.
• 47:21
Speaker 1: We're gonna do another UM live show though, and UM,
• 47:25
Speaker 1: and we could have we were thinking about having UM
• 47:28
Speaker 1: one of our co stars on. Who should we have on?
• 47:29
Speaker 1: Should it be Johnny C or Sarah? Who should we have? Donald?
• 47:32
Speaker 1: I mean if we could have them both on, that
• 47:33
Speaker 1: would be great one. Daniel, Yes, Timpany please all right,
• 47:41
Speaker 1: thank you, Timpany. M August six, We're gonna do another
• 47:45
Speaker 1: live show. Yeah, applause, Daniel, I got there. You go. UM,
• 47:54
Speaker 1: So we should let us know. UM. I know, I
• 47:57
Speaker 1: know what your answer is. If you're listening, you want both,
• 47:59
  Speaker 1: So we'll I for both. Let's see, let's see how
• 48:02
Speaker 1: many we can well, you know, no, I think I
• 48:04
Speaker 1: think I really feel like when you get too many
• 48:06
Speaker 1: people on on you know, a call, it's it gets
• 48:10
Speaker 1: it gets a little crazy, it gets a little calm.
• 48:12
Speaker 1: I think to two of them would be great, if not,
• 48:15
Speaker 1: if one of them is not a villa, maybe one
• 48:16
Speaker 1: of them. Yeah, um, but that's so So that's the answer,
• 48:19
Speaker 1: salad or it's the best answer we have. That's an
• 48:22
Speaker 1: amazing answer. What's what's your next question? I have a question?
• 48:26
  Speaker 1: I whoa I do? It's like a little improvising. I'm
• 48:30
Speaker 1: sorry for my English. I'm really English is perfect. We
• 48:34
Speaker 1: were just talking before before you got on about about
• 48:37
Speaker 1: how we're jealous of bilingual and trilingual people and your
• 48:40
Speaker 1: English is flawless, so don't so you should feel confident
• 48:43
Speaker 1: about it. Thank you, thank you, thank you very much.
• 48:45
Speaker 1: Now that everyone is working like an individual individual things
• 48:48
Speaker 1: already and all that, how difficult is like to find
• 48:53
Speaker 1: the same relationship that you have, like that you had
• 48:57
Speaker 1: on Scrubs, like obviously Zagan Donna, like your best friends
• 49:01
Speaker 1: like from the show that you met there, Like now
• 49:04
Speaker 1: that you're working, like, how do you find how difficult
• 49:06
Speaker 1: it is? Like? Oh maybe now now in this technology
• 49:10
Speaker 1: era that everyone's on Twitter on Instagram, like when they
• 49:13
Speaker 1: have free time, how difficult it is like to to
• 49:16
Speaker 1: get to know people like more naturally than when you're
• 49:21
  Speaker 1: I get what you're saying. I don't tell he's saying.
• 49:24
Speaker 1: He's saying when you go and do other shows and
• 49:27
Speaker 1: other projects, is it easy for you to make friends
• 49:30
Speaker 1: and are making when you do make those friends, is
• 49:33
Speaker 1: it lasting like you and I's relationship. That's a good
• 49:35
Speaker 1: question you want to answer first. Sure, you know, I've
• 49:38
Speaker 1: made quite a few friends through work. Um, nothing is
• 49:43
Speaker 1: strong as Zach and my bond, like we have something special.
• 49:48
Speaker 1: But you know, you don't expect that when you work
• 49:51
Speaker 1: with people. Um, justin Long is somebody whom I truly
• 49:55
Speaker 1: truly enjoy talking to, and when we're in the same city,
• 50:01
Speaker 1: I want to hang out with him. Um. There are
• 50:04
Speaker 1: a few other people that are like that, you know. Um,
• 50:07
Speaker 1: none so none like Zach though, Zach, that's a spec
• 50:10
Speaker 1: that's a special special situation. Like our parents have met.
• 50:14
Speaker 1: You know, we're kind of married in a way, you
• 50:16
Speaker 1: know what I mean. It's it's very much like Turk
• 50:19
Speaker 1: and JD in real life. Um, But as far as
• 50:25
Speaker 1: making friends, it's easy to make friends as long as
• 50:27
Speaker 1: you guys, you know, especially when you're all in it
• 50:30
Speaker 1: to win it, you know, Like I love Dove Cameron. Uh,
• 50:33
Speaker 1: I think she's a great young actress. And you know,
• 50:38
Speaker 1: I love Chloe Bennett. I think she's a great young actress.
• 50:41
Speaker 1: And and and Yana the girls that I did the
• 50:44
Speaker 1: Powerpuff Girls, uh, pilot wit and I hope we get
• 50:46
Speaker 1: an opportunity to do that, just so I can get
• 50:49
Speaker 1: to know them better, because you know, when you meet
• 50:53
Speaker 1: special people, you want to you want to cultivate the relationship.
• 50:56
Speaker 1: I will say to that, Salvador, this was such a
• 50:58
Speaker 1: rare experience because we spent nine years together and and
• 51:03
Speaker 1: it's just it just doesn't happen that many times in
• 51:06
Speaker 1: an actor's life that you spend that much time with
• 51:09
Speaker 1: the same people. Usually go If you do a movie,
• 51:12
Speaker 1: maybe it's two months. If you do a show, it
• 51:14
Speaker 1: might be a couple of seasons or something. But it's
• 51:17
Speaker 1: just very it's a very rare experience to be on
• 51:20
Speaker 1: a show this long and get to know people this well.
• 51:23
Speaker 1: And now it's bizarre and COVID is the crew is
• 51:26
Speaker 1: all covered not only in masks, but in face shields,
• 51:29
Speaker 1: so you don't even see people's faces. Yeah, it's very
• 51:32
Speaker 1: hard to get to know and and get close to
• 51:34
Speaker 1: the crew hoping that will that will end this year.
• 51:38
Speaker 1: But but you know where Donald and I talk about
• 51:41
Speaker 1: how close we got to the crew and how much
• 51:42
Speaker 1: we loved our crew, and we were all friends, and
• 51:44
Speaker 1: we'd go to bars together and we would be so
• 51:46
Speaker 1: social and love them. It's a bizarre experience as I'm
• 51:50
Speaker 1: doing Cheaper by the Dozen, where you don't even really
• 51:52
Speaker 1: know what people's faces look like. Ye like, you really
• 51:55
Speaker 1: they're behind a mask and then a face shield. You
• 51:57
Speaker 1: see their eyes. Our a camera operator pulled off his
• 52:00
Speaker 1: mass there day outside and I was like, you're a mustache,
• 52:03
Speaker 1: Like right, I just just never seen his face and
• 52:06
Speaker 1: I spent all day long with the guy. You would think,
• 52:09
Speaker 1: you know what they look like. That's that's the thing
• 52:11
Speaker 1: that I That's that's real talk right there, Zach. Like
• 52:14
Speaker 1: you see all of these cartoons where the ladies are
• 52:17
Speaker 1: covered from or you know movies where the ladies or
• 52:20
Speaker 1: maybe even your real life where the ladies covered their
• 52:22
Speaker 1: whole face and all you could see as their eyes
• 52:24
Speaker 1: and everything like that, you don't know what's under that.
• 52:27
Speaker 1: You fall in love with the eyes, and all of
• 52:29
Speaker 1: a sudden she takes it down and you could be like,
• 52:31
Speaker 1: that is not what I thought you looked like. I'm
• 52:33
Speaker 1: gonna be honest with you. Sometimes they eyes don't match
• 52:36
Speaker 1: with the mouth, with the rest not at all, or
• 52:38
Speaker 1: your brain made up what the rest of the face
• 52:40
Speaker 1: looks like. Yeah, and and and it could be like
• 52:43
Speaker 1: sometimes you're like, okay, I didn't know you look like that, right. Absolutely,
• 52:49
  Speaker 1: When I was doing I was I did the L
• 52:50
Speaker 1: word UH this year comes out in August for everybody
• 52:54
Speaker 1: who are L word fans um and we did uh
• 52:59
Speaker 1: or on set, everybody except for the actors had to
• 53:02
Speaker 1: wear a face mask and shield or face mask and goggles.
• 53:06
Speaker 1: And I saw one of the people that I talked
• 53:10
Speaker 1: to every day eating lunch without her face mask on.
• 53:15
Speaker 1: And the reason why I was able to recognize her
• 53:18
Speaker 1: was because I pretended I couldn't see the mouth and nose,
• 53:21
Speaker 1: and I just stared at her eyes for a really
• 53:24
Speaker 1: hard second, and I was like, oh shit, what's up.
• 53:28
Speaker 1: Its crazy as when crew members come up to you
• 53:30
Speaker 1: and they're like, hey man, remember me from that other
• 53:32
  Speaker 1: project and you're like, bro, I have I'm sorry I
• 53:34
Speaker 1: don't recognize your eyes like you feel like a jerk.
• 53:38
Speaker 1: You don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. But you're like,
• 53:40
  Speaker 1: I can't. I don't know who you're off from your eyes.
• 53:42
Speaker 1: Like when I have like a like a friend request
• 53:45
Speaker 1: on Instagram or Facebook or or whatever, I have liked
• 53:48
Speaker 1: to put up like my finger like in the bottom
• 53:51
Speaker 1: part of the pictures, they're like, oh, of course is
• 53:53
Speaker 1: that this this guy that I met? So crazy? All right, Donald,
• 54:05
Speaker 1: I think it's time for Mexico's favorite segment. It's time too,
• 54:17
Speaker 1: all right, salvat or go ahead? How can we fix
• 54:19
Speaker 1: your life today? Sir? Okay, So both of you, like,
• 54:23
Speaker 1: like through the podcast, I know that you're very nice
• 54:26
Speaker 1: people like. I like actor You're like no, I mean
• 54:30
Speaker 1: because you have like fans like all over the world,
• 54:32
Speaker 1: and you're like very nice, very supportive. We love our fans.
• 54:36
Speaker 1: So I would like you can and I know that
• 54:38
Speaker 1: you're very nice people like, and I think of myself
• 54:42
Speaker 1: as a nice person. You are I can tell, thank
• 54:44
Speaker 1: you very much. And also you dedicated your life to
• 54:46
Speaker 1: being a teacher, which says a lot about you. Thank you. Um.
• 54:49
Speaker 1: And and that's the thing, like when I tried to
• 54:51
  Speaker 1: meet a girl, I end up being like a I
• 54:55
Speaker 1: give like a friend buy and I always end up
• 54:58
Speaker 1: in the friend zone. Oh you get friend zone. Yeah,
• 55:00
Speaker 1: the classic friend zone problem. Yeah, so I was like,
• 55:03
  Speaker 1: how can I come across like I don't. I don't.
• 55:06
Speaker 1: I'm not a douchebag. But at the same time, I
• 55:09
Speaker 1: don't want to be like, oh, but I'm always a friend, right,
• 55:14
Speaker 1: I hear you. This is a perfect episode. Yeah, you
• 55:17
Speaker 1: picked a good episode because, uh, doctor Cox gives great
• 55:21
Speaker 1: advice to Elliott on how to do that. You know,
• 55:24
Speaker 1: maybe maybe don't be so accessible. Okay, you know, uh,
• 55:30
Speaker 1: you're giving him the same advice doctor Cox, because Eliot,
• 55:32
Speaker 1: I agree. There's there's just something about mystery that makes
• 55:37
Speaker 1: you more intriguing. And the more accessible, you know, the
• 55:41
Speaker 1: more you're accessible, the more the person has the opportunity
• 55:46
Speaker 1: to get to know you on your on uh their terms,
• 55:51
Speaker 1: and you want them to get to know you on
• 55:52
Speaker 1: your terms. I want you to know me as we
• 55:55
Speaker 1: go along. I don't want to give too much away. Um,
• 55:59
Speaker 1: at least seller there's a classic grouchow Marks quote. I
• 56:03
Speaker 1: would never want to be a part of any club
• 56:05
Speaker 1: that would have me as a member. And I think
• 56:11
Speaker 1: that that's a lot like dating. Is that we humans,
• 56:14
Speaker 1: uh we we when someone likes us, we're like what's
• 56:18
Speaker 1: following them? A matter with them that they're into me?
• 56:22
Speaker 1: You know what I mean? So I think, yep, that's
• 56:25
Speaker 1: why I have to say, like Gardens, I just broke
• 56:28
Speaker 1: up with a girlfriend. Oh dude, you had you do
• 56:32
Speaker 1: That's what That's what this really is. No, just broke
• 56:35
Speaker 1: up with somebody and now you got desperate, all, aren't you?
• 56:37
Speaker 1: When you meet all these other girls? He's holding up
• 56:41
Speaker 1: the Gardens date DVD. Donald, don't interrupt him, guy, that
• 56:46
Speaker 1: the thing that happened. Just put on them the soundtrack, dude,
• 56:48
Speaker 1: and then slowly do the yawn move with your arm
• 56:51
Speaker 1: that has held me. I really watched it two months
• 56:56
Speaker 1: ago and I was like, oh my god, that really
• 56:59
Speaker 1: really really like accept the happy ending part, but the
• 57:03
Speaker 1: rest of the movie is like really what happened? But
• 57:06
Speaker 1: she had like the losing a member of the family part,
• 57:11
Speaker 1: and I was like emotionally available, but a little damage
• 57:15
Speaker 1: in some other way like and that like that's the
• 57:19
Speaker 1: thing like took us apart. But how long have you
• 57:22
Speaker 1: been single? Uh? Seven months? Okay, Well, first of all,
• 57:27
Speaker 1: it's been COVID and it's been seven months, so you
• 57:29
Speaker 1: gotta give yourself some excuses. It's been very hard for
• 57:31
Speaker 1: any single person to get out there and meet people.
• 57:34
Speaker 1: But um, you know, my first advice is just give
• 57:36
Speaker 1: yourself lots of opportunities, because you can't just like have
• 57:40
Speaker 1: one opportunity to to flirt with a woman and then
• 57:44
Speaker 1: a week or something and then and then it works
• 57:46
Speaker 1: or it doesn't work, and then you're kind of you know,
• 57:48
Speaker 1: you need lots of chances, So you have to have
• 57:50
Speaker 1: to put yourself out there. Are you on dating apps
• 57:53
Speaker 1: and stuff like that? Not at the moment, because I'm
• 57:55
Speaker 1: an English teacher, so there are like some students in
• 57:59
Speaker 1: the apps too, So I don't want like, well, that's
• 58:02
  Speaker 1: not fair though, that's I don't I don't don't. I
• 58:04
Speaker 1: don'tn't think you should block yourself from the opportunity to
• 58:06
Speaker 1: meet someone because I'm sure there's plenty of teachers on
• 58:09
Speaker 1: the American apps. I'm not saying step to your students.
• 58:12
Speaker 1: I'm just saying, you know, of course, don't hit on
• 58:14
Speaker 1: your students. You sound like you're smart enough to not
• 58:17
Speaker 1: to know that. But I'm saying, like, you know, I
• 58:19
Speaker 1: don't think that should preclude you from allowing to participate
• 58:22
Speaker 1: in in the way that most young people are dating.
• 58:24
Speaker 1: These days, that's not fair to yourself. Okay, Yeah, And
• 58:27
Speaker 1: then I think when you do meet someone, Donald's right,
• 58:30
Speaker 1: I think you want to. I think people like mystery.
• 58:32
Speaker 1: They don't want to like I think if you might
• 58:34
Speaker 1: be getting friend zoned, if you're just like always available
• 58:36
Speaker 1: and always accessible and always texting right back and always
• 58:38
Speaker 1: like the buddy who's available. You know, even if you
• 58:41
Speaker 1: have to play a little bit of a game, it's
• 58:42
Speaker 1: a gentle game, and that people like like there to
• 58:45
Speaker 1: be a game. They like there to be a little
• 58:47
Speaker 1: bit of a challenge, they like there to be mystery,
• 58:49
Speaker 1: and and and I do think you do. It's it's
• 58:53
Speaker 1: like it's like fishing a bit. You gotta like throw
• 58:55
Speaker 1: it out and then reel in a little bit and
• 58:57
Speaker 1: then let it go and then reel it in a
• 58:58
Speaker 1: little bit, right Donalds? That A no, No, I love that.
• 59:01
Speaker 1: I love that you that that you agreed with me,
• 59:03
Speaker 1: because I think, you know, my wife played that game
• 59:08
Speaker 1: to a t on like she worked me like you know,
• 59:13
Speaker 1: she played me like a fiddle and made it so
• 59:17
Speaker 1: it was like I would be like I like you,
• 59:21
Speaker 1: and she'd be like I like you too, But not
• 59:24
Speaker 1: right now, we can't do this right now, maybe next time.
• 59:27
Speaker 1: I made him want her more, and it was like, okay, well,
• 59:30
Speaker 1: I know she likes me. Next time I see her,
• 59:32
Speaker 1: I'm gonna go harder. And she'd be like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa,
• 59:35
Speaker 1: calm down, calm down. But maybe next time I see you,
• 59:38
Speaker 1: it's gonna work. You know, um and you know. And
• 59:44
Speaker 1: that went on for about a year where every time
• 59:47
Speaker 1: I saw her, I pushed up and she told me no, no, no, no, no,
• 59:52
Speaker 1: now's not the right time. I'm I'm working. But next
• 59:56
Speaker 1: time I see you, I'm sure it'll be the right time.
• 59:58
Speaker 1: And it just worked and kept him thinking about her
• 1:00:03
Speaker 1: all the time. Now she calls me daddy. The thing is,
• 1:00:07
Speaker 1: oh wow, we went there. I love Hey. Another thing,
• 1:00:13
Speaker 1: Salvador is use your strengths. You are are Your English
• 1:00:17
Speaker 1: is incredible, You're fully bilingual. You have a great job.
• 1:00:20
Speaker 1: I mean, I think you can. You can find a
• 1:00:23
Speaker 1: way to to accentuate things that are special and unique
• 1:00:28
Speaker 1: about you. Um, you know, not a lot of people,
• 1:00:30
Speaker 1: I mean not a lot of people are are are
• 1:00:34
Speaker 1: fully bilingual like you are. I think that's a really
• 1:00:36
Speaker 1: cool thing. I don't know exactly how you use it
• 1:00:39
Speaker 1: for your best advantage. But but you know, and take
• 1:00:41
Speaker 1: what's good about, what you feel confident about in yourself,
• 1:00:44
Speaker 1: your interests, um things that you're good at, things you
• 1:00:48
Speaker 1: love doing and and and and use those. So for me,
• 1:00:51
Speaker 1: I I love the theater. So when I was dating,
• 1:00:54
Speaker 1: and in fact in my first dates with Florence too,
• 1:00:56
Speaker 1: I would take her to the theater because it was
• 1:00:58
Speaker 1: my happy place. It's what I love so much. I
• 1:01:00
Speaker 1: wanted to share something I loved so much with someone
• 1:01:04
Speaker 1: I really was was crazy about and then we connected
• 1:01:06
Speaker 1: over that, and then we had someone and then you
• 1:01:08
Speaker 1: go out for a drink after and you have so
• 1:01:10
Speaker 1: much to talk about. So find what that kind of
• 1:01:12
Speaker 1: thing is for you, where you feel you're most confident
• 1:01:15
Speaker 1: and your most ability to talk about it and be
• 1:01:17
Speaker 1: passionate about it. And I think passion in that way
• 1:01:20
Speaker 1: really lights people up. The It's attractive to watch someone
• 1:01:24
Speaker 1: so excitedly talk about something that they're interested in. Also,
• 1:01:28
Speaker 1: at the end of the day, dude, you're a handsome guy.
• 1:01:30
Speaker 1: You got a full head, you got a full head
• 1:01:32
Speaker 1: of hair, like you know, you know, you got a
• 1:01:36
Speaker 1: great smile. Go for yours, man, Be confident, don't don't
• 1:01:41
Speaker 1: it's seven months in COVID. Just remember that, you know,
• 1:01:44
Speaker 1: easy on yourself and and just put on Garden State
• 1:01:47
Speaker 1: and Fails DVD also remembered the Titans. But that's not
• 1:01:54
Speaker 1: that's not a good courtship movie. We don't, no, no, no,
• 1:01:57
Speaker 1: what are you talking about. It's a good gay courtship movie.
• 1:02:00
Speaker 1: If you're a gay guy. Wait a second, do you
• 1:02:02
Speaker 1: want to do? You want to do? You want to
• 1:02:04
Speaker 1: snuggle and watch Ryan Gosling's abs? Ryan Gosling, Ryan godslu
• 1:02:10
Speaker 1: doesn't show his abs. Isn't there a locker room scene
• 1:02:13
Speaker 1: where he's certain? No, I'm oh, yes, there you go.
• 1:02:19
Speaker 1: Now you remember I don't appreciate. I want you all
• 1:02:22
Speaker 1: to know. Ryan Gosling was a liability for the team. Okay,
• 1:02:25
Speaker 1: let's just put that out there. It was a liability
• 1:02:28
Speaker 1: for the team. Could snail right? And I stepped in
• 1:02:32
Speaker 1: and say, you're still you're still harping on this. There's
• 1:02:36
Speaker 1: such addition in Mexico that every Super Bowl Sunday, uh
• 1:02:40
Speaker 1: two or three networks TV like they put remember the
• 1:02:44
Speaker 1: tight ends before the game. And that's what's that. I
• 1:02:49
Speaker 1: watch it even though I know the dialogues, I know,
• 1:02:52
Speaker 1: like all of that is like, it's amazing. Donald's um,
• 1:02:55
Speaker 1: the Donald, the guy who dubbs Donald. Does he sound
• 1:02:58
Speaker 1: anything like Donald? I don't watch was in Spanish. Oh
• 1:03:01
Speaker 1: of course you don't. I would be so pissed off
• 1:03:04
Speaker 1: if the dude was like that happened. Yeah, by the way, there,
• 1:03:13
  Speaker 1: there's definitely it's a funny thing, like because I've traveled,
• 1:03:16
