- 0:04Speaker 1: Hi, and welcome back to Country Weekly, where we dive
- 0:08into news and gossip from the world of country music.
- 0:11I'm your host as always, Ken Dawkins, and I will
- 0:14be reading from various sources found online. As a reminder,
- 0:18RADIOI is a reading service intended for people who are
- 0:21blind or have other disabilities that make it difficult to
- 0:23read printed material. We'll begin with the first article day
- 0:27of July fourteenth from americansongwriter dot com. Darius Rucker refunds
- 0:34all tickets after struggling through Atlantic City concert. Looking to
- 0:38have a great show on Saturday night in Atlantic City,
- 0:41New Jersey, Darius Rucker found himself in a difficult spot
- 0:45as he took the stage. Like countless singers before him,
- 0:49especially recently, Rucker started to notice his voice was going out.
- 0:54Hoping he could power through the show. With each new song,
- 0:57his voice cut out more and more. Wanting to give
- 0:59his fans the best performance possible, he decided to end
- 1:02the concert early, but not without making sure he made
- 1:06it up to fans. Barely making it three songs into
- 1:09the concert, Rucker knew he needed to end the show.
- 1:12He told the crowd, you all, I can't sing anymore.
- 1:15I'll play one more song. I promise you we're going
- 1:17to figure this out. This never happened to me. I
- 1:20physically can't sing. I will make this up to you.
- 1:24Before heading off stage, Rucker performed his hit song wagon
- 1:27Wheel for the audience. Although he needed a little bit
- 1:29of help from the fans, already stating he wanted to
- 1:32return to make the concert up. The country singer revealed,
- 1:35I feel awful. I'm so sorry. I have never lost
- 1:38my voice in all my years of performing. We looked
- 1:41at every option to reschedule, but unfortunately it's just not
- 1:44possible this year, so we're issuing full refunds. While doing
- 1:49the best he could with his strained voice, Rucker explained
- 1:51how the venue would reach out to those who purchased
- 1:53a ticket with information pertaining to the refunds. At the time,
- 1:57the singer appeared visibly upset over having to end the show,
- 2:00but when sharing the latest news on his Instagram stories,
- 2:03he focused on the love and support he received from fans.
- 2:06Thank you so much for all your kind messages, wishing
- 2:09me well, love you all, see you soon. Although each
- 2:12person ended up with a refund, one fan commented on
- 2:15how distraught Rooker looked on stage. He looked so upset
- 2:18when he left the stage. Another fan responded, Yeah, he
- 2:21really did. As for Rucker's upcoming performances, the singer will
- 2:24head to Florida for two concerts on July nineteenth and twentieth.
- 2:28For the show, on the nineteenth, he'll perform in Hollywood,
- 2:31and on the second night, the singer will travel to Tampa.
- 2:35Now we move over to countrynow dot com with the
- 2:37first article dated July fourteenth, More concert problems. Lup Bryan
- 2:42swarmed by mayflies at Hershey Park show. A country boy
- 2:47through and through, Lup Bryan is no stranger to bugs,
- 2:50but nothing could prepare him for the swarm of mayflies
- 2:53that surrounded him during his concert at Hershey Park Stadium
- 2:56in Pennsylvania over the weekend. The bugs were flying through
- 2:59the air throughout the concert, but the situation seemed to
- 3:02get worse when the Georgia native made his way to
- 3:05the front of the stage to deliver a few songs
- 3:07on a piano. As the spotlight shone down on him,
- 3:10bugs could be seen swarming all around in the light.
- 3:13In true Loop Brian fashion, he handled it with humor.
- 3:17What the hell's going on? He said, as he looked
- 3:18around the stage. The crowd began to laugh, and he quipped,
- 3:22I think I've breathed in four of these dumb idiots.
- 3:25As he played a few notes on the piano, Brian
- 3:27continued to laugh at the situation as he yelled out, shoot,
- 3:30they're everywhere. Before starting the song, he got one more
- 3:33singer as he questioned, can you put these on pizza?
- 3:37Fans captured the hilarious moment on video and quickly shared
- 3:40it to TikTok, of course, where it didn't take long
- 3:42for the comments to pour in. I thought it was
- 3:45glitter confetti until he said something. One user joked they
- 3:48almost carried him away another edit. Another points out the
- 3:51obvious no one has more fun at a concert than
- 3:54lup Bryan. Brian returned to the stage this weekend following
- 3:58several canceled and rescheduled concert due to illness. Thankfully, his
- 4:02longtime friend and fellow superstar Eric Church was on hand
- 4:06to fill in for him at several festivals before his
- 4:09tour picked back up. Brian took to social media to
- 4:11thank fans for sticking by him and for sending well
- 4:14wishes his way. It really really gets frustrating getting sick
- 4:19and losing my voice and having to take a couple
- 4:21of weekends off, he admitted, but thank you guys for
- 4:23supporting me. I love you all and we'll see you
- 4:25all in the shows to come. The five time Entertainer
- 4:29of the Year, we'll head back on tour this week
- 4:31with shows in Greenville, South Carolina, Charleston and Birmingham, Alabama.
- 4:36His summer tour features a rotating lineup of special guests
- 4:39including George Burge, Avery, Anna, Ashland, Kraft, may Estes, Cole
- 4:44Goodwin Braxton, Keith Randall, King, Vincent Mason, Drake Milligan, Adrian Nunez,
- 4:50and Owen Riegeling unselected dates. Brian named the tour after
- 4:54his newest single, country song Came On, which is climbing
- 4:57the country charts. Next, George Straight rallies Country Stars for
- 5:02Texas flood relief benefit dinner and concert as Texas Hill
- 5:07Country works to recover from the recent catastrophic flooding. George
- 5:11Strait is rallying friends and fellow musicians to step up
- 5:14and offer support where it's needed most. The legendary Texan
- 5:17has announced that he, along with Tom Cusick businessman and
- 5:21Vagos Adel Marr partner of fifteen years. They're organizing Straight
- 5:25to the Heart and an intimate benefit dinner and concert
- 5:28set to take place Sunday, July twenty seventh at the
- 5:31Astancia at Thunder Valley Indoor Arena in Boorn, Texas. The
- 5:36destruction and loss in our community from the recent flood
- 5:38is hard to wrap your head around. Shares Straight, our
- 5:41hearts and prayers are with you all. The goal with
- 5:44this event is to raise meaningful, immediate support that can
- 5:47put directly into the hands of flood victims without delay,
- 5:50while also honoring the first responders that work tirelessly to
- 5:54save lives. The exclusive event will host one thousand guests
- 5:59and feature performances from Straight himself, of course, along with
- 6:02a powerhouse line up of talent including William Beckman, Ray Benson,
- 6:06Wade Bowen, Dean Dylan, Riley Green, Randy Howser, Jamie Johnson,
- 6:10Kyle Park, Hudson Westbrook, and members of Strait's Ace in
- 6:14the Whole Band. Special thanks to our friends and fellow
- 6:17troubadours Beckham, Benson, Bowen, Dylon Green, Hawser, Johnson, Hudson, Westbrook,
- 6:23members of My Ace Band for joining me on stage
- 6:25to lend their talent and their hearts to this mission. Cusick,
- 6:29co founder of the the Karistell mar Organization, alongside Straight,
- 6:33emphasized the urgency behind the benefit due to the heartbreaking
- 6:36toll the recent catastrophic flooding is taken across Texas Hill Country.
- 6:42CNN's latest update as of this recording reveals that, according
- 6:45to officials, at least one hundred and sixty people still
- 6:48remain unaccounted for. One hundred and fifty of those are
- 6:51in Kerr County, one of the area's hardest hit by
- 6:54the flooding. USA Today further reports that at least one
- 6:57hundred and twenty people have been confirmed dead since the
- 7:00devastating rainfall struck on the morning of July fourth. Moving On,
- 7:05Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton deliver timeless duet with a
- 7:09Song To Sing. Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton have teamed
- 7:13up for their first true duet with a Song To Sing,
- 7:16a soul stirring collaboration that captures the power of music
- 7:19and everlasting love, written by Lambert and Stapleton, two of
- 7:23country music's most compelling voices, alongside Jesse Fraser and Jennie
- 7:27Fleeiner and produced by Grammy winner Dave Cobb, A Song
- 7:31to Sing paints a picture of love that runs as
- 7:33deep as the music itself. The dreamy tune is filled
- 7:36with rootsy instrumentation, with gentle acoustic strums and the timeless harmonies,
- 7:41thus creating a nostalgic sound that, with the core message,
- 7:44offers a testament to the kind of love that can
- 7:46withstand every high and low, and the kind that doesn't
- 7:49just inspire the music, but it becomes the music along
- 7:52the way. They unite to share the story about two
- 7:56people whose connection is strong enough to guide them through
- 7:58the noise and chaos of life in a world that
- 8:01often moves too fast. The song serves as a reminder
- 8:04to slow down and cherish the power of companionship, training verses,
- 8:08and then blending harmony seamlessly. On the chorus, Lambert and
- 8:12Stapleton bring a new level of emotional weight to the
- 8:14track as they reflect on the beauty of everlasting love
- 8:17and the power of getting to share a story through song.
- 8:21They sing, you are part of me, Baby, You're the
- 8:23heart of me. Together we can write a song to sing,
- 8:26and in that melody, baby You're the harmony that you
- 8:29just can't find anywhere. It's clear that the release, which
- 8:32is set to impact country radio or did actually on
- 8:35July fourteenth, is destined to join the list of most
- 8:39cherished duets in the country music business. Together, they channel
- 8:42the timeless spirit of classic country duets among legends like
- 8:45the iconic pairing of Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. The
- 8:49Country Acts have racked up an impressive combined total of
- 8:52fourteen Grammys, thirty three CMA Awards, and fifty nine ACM Awards,
- 8:57each leaving a lasting impact the genre, not only with
- 9:00their distinct voices, but also their combined legacy and award
- 9:04winning storytelling. The Story to Sing brings their shared musical
- 9:07legacy full circle, as it gave Lambert, who handed over
- 9:11her ACM Entertainer of the Year crown to Stapleton in
- 9:13twenty three, a chance to join forces where a fellow
- 9:16trailblazer in a whole new way. Chris Stapleton will continue
- 9:20his extents of All American Roads show through the summer.
- 9:23The trek includes two upcoming shows in New York City's
- 9:26Madison Square Garden along with Lambert. Stapleton's recent collaborations include
- 9:30California Sober with Post Malone, Think I'm in Love with
- 9:34You with Dua Lippa, oh Well with Slash and Honkey Talk,
- 9:38Hall of Fame with George Strait. Plus he's released a
- 9:41version of Tom Petty's I Should Have Known for the
- 9:44new Tom Petty tribute album. Meanwhile, Miranda Lambert is several
- 9:48upcoming dates across the US and Canada where she will
- 9:51serve as supporting act for Morgan Wallen's twenty twenty five
- 9:54I'm The Problem to her. In between those shows, she
- 9:57will appear at a few fairs and festivals around the
- 9:59co country. Next, Priscilla Block reimagines nineteen seventy Simon and
- 10:06Garfunkel hit. Priscilla Block is serving up her signature sass
- 10:11and fierce confidence in her new song You're Breaking My
- 10:13Heart Cecilia. After teasing the catchy tune on social media,
- 10:18Block gave into the pleas of fans and released the
- 10:20story that finds the song trists putting her own spin
- 10:23on Americana folk hero or folk duo Simon and Garfunkel's
- 10:27beloved nineteen seventy hit simply called Cecilia. Block flips the
- 10:32narrative and reclaims the story from the perspective of the
- 10:35other woman. Her unmistakable vocals lend a modern, gritty edge
- 10:38while channeling the bold storytelling of Dolly Parton's Joelene in
- 10:42a playful yet piercing anthem. The writers behind Your Breaking
- 10:46My Heart Cecilia include Chris Tompkins, Jesse Frasier, Jesse Joe Dillon,
- 10:51Hailey Whitters, and the original writer of Cecilia, Paul Simon.
- 10:55Their creativity led to a narrative that has Block prepared
- 10:58to take part in a full on showdown of the
- 11:00woman dubbed Cecilia doesn't stop flirting with her man. She
- 11:04admits to seeing right through the woman's kind act, and
- 11:07while she will strut right up and hug me, Block
- 11:10makes it clear she's going to keep her distance, knowing
- 11:13that Cecilia will stab her in the back at the
- 11:15first chance she gets. I know you're getting used to
- 11:18getting whatever you want, girl, twirling them blonde curls and
- 11:22boys around your finger. And now he ain't the cheating kind.
- 11:25I'm usually not the jealous type, but you're stirring trouble
- 11:28up tonight, and I don't like it. Priscilla Block delivers.
- 11:31Upon reaching the chorus, the North Carolina native dives the
- 11:34same message home, while infectious upbeat tone with a classic
- 11:38country twang brings the energy up. She sings, Cecilia, you're
- 11:42breaking my heart. You're shaking my confidence crazy. I can
- 11:45feel you Joline again, but you ain't getting him, so
- 11:48you best get out of my way. I see you
- 11:50come walking in here, batting them lashes, making them passes,
- 11:54hook line, and sinker. In celebration of today's release, one
- 11:58of the creatives behind the track, Hayley Whitner, shared a
- 12:00post congratulating Block on dropping the fiery new anthem. She
- 12:04also gave high praise to her fellow songstress, calling her
- 12:07the perfect artist to cut the song and deliver the
- 12:10unapologetic message. Block added, thank you for letting me cut this.
- 12:14I'm obsessed. You're breaking my heart. Cecilia follows the rising
- 12:18country star's first release of twenty twenty five, the catchy
- 12:21Yard Sale. The infectious song once again tackles heartbreak in
- 12:25a hilarious way as she sings about selling her ex's
- 12:28belongings and an impromptu yard sale where everything is half priced.
- 12:33After gaining traction on social media and at her live shows,
- 12:36Block revealed that the song was on its way to
- 12:38becoming a staple in her catalog. Honestly, I didn't know
- 12:42that I was going to put out Yard Sale. I
- 12:44thought it was kind of two out there, But every
- 12:46single time I would show this song to people there
- 12:48like Priscilla, you have to put out yard Sale. It's
- 12:51so fun, she previously told Country Now. Both songs give
- 12:55fans a glimpse into Priscilla Block's next musical chapter that
- 12:59she yet to be announced. This project will serve as
- 13:01the follow up to her PB two EP that dropped
- 13:04last summer, along with her debut album, Welcome to the
- 13:07Block Party. In addition to her slew of solo dates
- 13:12scheduled throughout twenty twenty five, Block has also been tapped
- 13:15to serve as an opening act on Coleswindell's Happy Hour
- 13:18Sad to Her next Ashley Cook unleashes a storm of
- 13:24emotion in fiery breakup anthem the hell You Are. Ashley
- 13:28Cook is done dealing with men who can only offer
- 13:31empty promises. She hones in on a relatable topic well,
- 13:35taking her sound in a whole new direction on her
- 13:37fiery new anthem, the Hell You Are leaning into her
- 13:40ability to take emotional chaos and turn it into something beautiful.
- 13:44Cook delivers a catchy anthem that calls out the frustrations
- 13:47behind inconsistencies in a relationship. This tune is sure to
- 13:51hit home for everyone who's ever been strung stung by
- 13:54someone who says all the right things but never follows through.
- 13:58This song is that moment of clarity when you finally
- 14:01put your foot down on what you deserve. It's calling
- 14:03someone out for their actions not matching their words, and
- 14:06deciding to be done, believing that it'll be different this time.
- 14:09Cook shared of the song's powerful narrative. Cook co wrote
- 14:13this track along with seth Ennis, Joe Fox, Chase McGill,
- 14:17and Emily Weisband. This powerhouse team of songwriters combine their
- 14:21talents to bring the story to life, while award winning
- 14:24producer Dan Huff worked his magic to make the song complete.
- 14:28The lyrics indicate that Cook has found herself in a
- 14:30situation a few times before and is finally ready to
- 14:33end her a streak of falling for a relationship that
- 14:36will only leave her heartbroken. Cook continues to send a
- 14:40message loud and clear with her warm, textured vocals, cutting
- 14:42straight to the heart while reliving all the lives she
- 14:45was told. Cook explores a double meaning in the chorus
- 14:48by flipping the phrase the hell you are into a
- 14:50deeper description of the person's destructive character, claiming you don't
- 14:54even know the hell you are. Today's release was accompanied
- 14:58by a heated visualizer that finds Cook setting up a
- 15:00candle at dinner for her and her other half. One
- 15:03minute she's lighting the candles and plaiting the dinner, and
- 15:06the next she's on the phone with a knowing and
- 15:08frustrated look on her face. Instead of enjoying a date
- 15:13night with her love interest, she calls her friends and
- 15:14gets her revenge by tearing photos apart, breaking his belongings,
- 15:18and causing some therapeutic chaos. At the very end, the
- 15:22mystery man shows up at the door and claims he's
- 15:24sorry and lost track of time. Luckily, her friends are
- 15:27there to make sure she doesn't give in to the
- 15:29empty apologies anymore. The Hell You Are follows a string
- 15:33of honest and emotionally charged tracks from Ashley Cook, including
- 15:36The F Word and All I Forgot featuring Joe Jonas.
- 15:39With each new release, Cook further cements herself as one
- 15:42of country music's most relatable storytellers who's not afraid to
- 15:46speak the truth. She's currently on the road with Parker McCollum,
- 15:49Brentley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Dustin Lynch, joining each act
- 15:53on select dates through the fall, in addition to also
- 15:56headlining select shows and appearing at major festival next. Riley
- 16:02Green covers Tim McGraw debut's new song on Acoustic Midtown
- 16:06Sessions EP. Riley Green's surprise fans Friday with the release
- 16:11of a new acoustic EP, Midtown Sessions. The stripped down
- 16:14set features five tracks, including the solo written Song's Worst
- 16:18Way and Jesus Saves the fan favor Changed My Mind
- 16:21in the brand new track Bartender and Destined. The project
- 16:25also features a cover of Tim McGraw's classic The Cowboy
- 16:28in Me. This isn't the first time Green has put
- 16:30his own spin on a McGraw's song. On his twenty
- 16:33twenty three album Ain't My Last Rodeo, he recorded Damn
- 16:37Country Music, which originally served as the title track of
- 16:39McGraw's twenty fifteen release. Inspired by his love from nineties country,
- 16:44the EP takes things back to the basics, stripping away
- 16:47the noise and allowing Green's Alabama bread vocals to shine.
- 16:52Now he mowsy on down the river and around the
- 16:54corner to Saving Country Music with the first article dated
- 16:59July fifteenth, The biggest takeaways from the twenty twenty five
- 17:02Master Musicians Festival in Kentucky Neighborly. If you had to
- 17:08describe the thirty second annual Masters Musicians Festival with only
- 17:12one word, that would be it says saving country music,
- 17:15because that's exactly what it felt like. It's a family
- 17:18friendly event that's not yet been exploited by the big
- 17:20corporate machines, likely due to the careful curation by its founders,
- 17:25the Somerset, Kentucky based entrepreneurs Julie Harris and Tiffany Finlay.
- 17:30They operate the town's largest annual gathering under a non
- 17:33profit organization, along with a small army of neighborly volunteers
- 17:37who all chip in. Yet, when these neighbors decide to
- 17:40throw their annual music festival, not only do they keep
- 17:42it affordable so everyone can attend, they're still able to
- 17:45attract some of the best names in music. Every year.
- 17:48Festival organizers Herald a Master, term for which they lovingly
- 17:52designate to one of the festival's performers. The event also
- 17:56makes sure to give special emphasis to Kentucky artists. The
- 18:00twenty twenty five Masters was the legendary country blues and
- 18:03Southern rock band from the hills and farms of Edmonton,
- 18:06Kentucky that we spoke about a couple of weeks ago,
- 18:08the Kentucky Headhunters, who are recently profiled here. As we mentioned,
- 18:12over the years, artists and performers from all genres of
- 18:15music acrossed the stages of this quaint Kentucky music festival.
- 18:19Yet given the geographic region it's held in the foothills
- 18:22of Appalachia and the Cumberland River Valley, country, folk, Americana
- 18:26and bluegrass or styles of music that typically reign supreme here.
- 18:31Here's some of the best stuff witnessed by somebody attending
- 18:33the concert. There's first on Jamie Johnson. There's no sufficient
- 18:38way to describe how authentically stellar Jamie Johnson is not
- 18:41only as a songwriter and recording artists, but as a
- 18:44human being. He writes straight from his heart and can
- 18:47often deliver a song induced gut check that can hit
- 18:49like a ton of bricks. If you can make it
- 18:52through one of his live musical sermons without being tear
- 18:55jerked at least once, most likely from a stirring performance
- 18:58of in Color, then at may be questionable if you
- 19:01even have a soul worth saving. A staunch country traditionalist.
- 19:04Jamie's performance at Master Musicians Festival was exactly what Somerset
- 19:08had been waiting for for decades. That's how long organizers
- 19:12had waited for his tour schedule to open up to
- 19:14make his appearance possible. The Kentucky Headhunters can pretty much
- 19:19fit into any type of crowd or any festival event
- 19:21you placed them in, though when the crowd over with
- 19:24their signature high energy clash of Southern rock, blues and country,
- 19:28with a dash of added psychedelia thrown in to keep
- 19:31just a few hippies stirring around in the crowds Heralded
- 19:34by festival organizers as this year's Masters, the Kentucky Headhunters
- 19:39were in prime form on Saturday night in their home state,
- 19:42with rousing performances of all their signature hit songs like
- 19:45doomas Walker, All Lonesome Me, and covers of Spirit in
- 19:48the Sky and House of the rising sun. The Headhunter's
- 19:52age never once showed the young telecasters slinging outlaw country
- 19:57blue star from East Kentucky. That's Todi Lee Meese. He's
- 20:01the real damn deal, says, saving country music while he's
- 20:04still paying his dues. Some of his dues are being
- 20:07paid back. The hard living Troubadour admits that his backstory
- 20:11includes some drug use, homelessness, and he presumably lives the
- 20:14life that he sings, of which he terms as raunchy
- 20:17tonue while emitting whelan esks vibes both esthetically and sonically
- 20:22without really setting out to do that. He opened his
- 20:24set with cocaine and wine from his third album No Excuses,
- 20:28were leased back in twenty twenty three. After his performance,
- 20:31when asked for his perspective on what the state of
- 20:33country music is right now in twenty twenty five, he stated,
- 20:37the state of country music is in a few different states.
- 20:39I think mostly it's a mess. I see some artists
- 20:43in the Americana genre get labeled true country artists when
- 20:46in reality they fall short of what I consider true
- 20:48country music. The great at what they do. Though people
- 20:51are hungry for country heroes, they just don't seem to
- 20:53be making those folks anymore, or they're not getting discovered.
- 20:57I'm no purest in general, but I do believe in
- 21:00calling things what they truly are. And that being said,
- 21:03thanks to the folks like Jamie Johnson, true country music
- 21:06heroes still exists that keep the truth alive The Creakers.
- 21:11Every time music festivals decide to have multiple stages, there's
- 21:15always at least one artist on one of the smaller
- 21:17stages who makes an uncontested case for why they should
- 21:20have been on a bigger stage. The Creakers were that
- 21:23band at the twenty twenty five Master Musicians Fest, which
- 21:26seemed like half of a festival's total population suddenly descended
- 21:30into the little ravine where that stage sat as an
- 21:33impromptu happy hillibilly jam session commenced before them. In front
- 21:37of the stage, a bunch of porch stompers had gathered
- 21:40as the Creakers began to fire up their mini hillbilly orchestra,
- 21:44even though they had no porch to stomp on. The
- 21:46Creaker's fiddle player, Anna Blanton, decided she was going to
- 21:49be the one to do and steal the show, just
- 21:52like any decent fiddler player attempts to do with every performance,

- 23:53Several days after a full social media wipe and cryptic
- 23:56update about closing a chapter Zach Brown filling out bigger
- 24:01pictures with more details. The group announced their next album,
- 24:04Love and Fear, shared the project's full track list, cover art,

- 24:15they're bringing Love and Fear to life with a limited engagement,
- 24:18one of Las vegas most buzzed about venues the sphere.
- 24:22The cover of Love and Fear paints a dramatic picture
- 24:25showing two opposing forces, one kneeling in red, one and white,
- 24:28one winged angelike presence hovering in the air, and their meeting.
- 24:32Smoke billows against the dark black drop and backdrop. That is,
- 24:36and both the figures wield what appear to be staffs
- 24:38as they come together, two sides of the same truth,
- 24:41the band wrote in the caption, underscoring the contrasting themes
- 24:45at work both in the imagery and in the title

- 25:11features a depiction of Snoop and frontman Jack Brown riding
- 25:15on horseback together through the desert and what appears to
- 25:18be a blunt hanging from Snoop's lip. The rumors have
- 25:21been buzzing around the Zach Brown Band for weeks are true.
- 25:24The band is planning to play shows in Las Vegas

- 26:22moments that they've shared together. In it, they signaled the

- 26:28left some wondering if it was more than just the
- 26:31end of tour posts, and some fans tossed around the
- 26:33theory that the Zach Brown Band could be breaking up
- 26:36or radically restructuring their band. From every hand, we shook

- 27:22Gonna Do. And we finally close with a quick list
- 27:26from Taste of country artists who started out in country
- 27:29music but aren't anymore. Traditionally, music artists tend to stick
- 27:33with one genre for their entire career. However, lately we've
- 27:36seen a rise in singers hopping from format to format,
- 27:39trying their hand at anything that speaks to them. Country
- 27:42has been a popular genre for music makers across the
- 27:44country to dip their toes into, and there have been
- 27:47a few singers who have made Nashville their permanent home.
- 27:50And then there are a few country crooners who have
- 27:51left music city to pursue careers focused on other musical influences.
- 27:56The short list Casey Musgraves a staple in country music.
- 28:00Earlier in her career, the band Perry began as a
- 28:03sibling trio with country music in their hearts Marin Marris.
- 28:07Some singers have let their country music colors fade over time.
- 28:11Leanne Rhymes. Not everyone has a grand moment of leaving
- 28:14the genre, but LeAnn Rhymes just kind of faded into
- 28:16the background. Taylor Swift, we know her story, of course,
- 28:20and Granger Smith. That concludes the reading of Country Weekly
