- 0:39Speaker 3: Nothing much, man, nothing much?
- 0:40Speaker 2: You have your Team USA shirt?
- 0:42Speaker 3: Yep? Ye go get that gold.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Yeah, shout out to them. They smoked Japan today? Yo?
- 0:51Speaker 2: How crazy was it? I felt? I felt like it
- 0:52Speaker 2: was kind of crazy. The Angel and Kaitlin Clark didn't
- 0:55Speaker 2: make the team.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's like it's like a it's like a
- 0:58Speaker 3: whole process.
- 1:00Speaker 2: I feel like to we forget their rookies and like
- 1:02Speaker 2: not there's not many like NBA rookies that make the
- 1:06Speaker 2: yea you know what I mean, make the USA team.
- 1:07Speaker 1: So yeah, but I think like for them, like I mean,
- 1:12Speaker 1: I feel like both of them could play on that
- 1:13Speaker 1: team right now for sure?
- 1:15Speaker 3: For sure.
- 1:15Speaker 2: I mean watching like I mean that the w NBA
- 1:17Speaker 2: All Starts beat Team USA.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Yeah it was crazy. Yeah, I was right, of course,
- 1:23Speaker 3: it was going nuts.
- 1:24Speaker 2: What was it like for you, like just because obviously
- 1:27Speaker 2: like you were a part of like kind of what
- 1:29Speaker 2: I would say, like the pivotal moment of what is
- 1:32Speaker 2: kind of captivated the world and having eyes on female
- 1:36Speaker 2: basketball again. Yeah, well I guess for the first time
- 1:39Speaker 2: really in this way, right, Yeah, So what was it
- 1:43Speaker 2: like for you to kind of just like see your
- 1:44Speaker 2: girl Angel out there going crazy? I think she said
- 1:46Speaker 2: that I think she's the only rookie to ever get
- 1:48Speaker 2: a double double in the in the All Star Game.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I don't know, but yeah, that that was crazy.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I was right there like this is what you do though, like.
- 1:56Speaker 2: And that shit felt like I got a club out
- 1:57Speaker 2: in a z and like that ship felt like right,
- 2:00Speaker 2: I'll start weekend.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Though, you got a club in Arizona. But I love Arizona, everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I love Arizona. If it wasn't two hundred.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Degrees, like it's two hundred degrees though, that's the problem.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Yeah, like that's the only problem. But Arizona's a vibe.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I was just telling my friend that, like, I could
- 2:13Speaker 1: have moved there if it wasn't two hundred degrees.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Yeah, you were there in July, which is a problem.
- 2:18Speaker 2: So when you walked outside, you were.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Like blow drying. What's to blow drying?
- 2:24Speaker 2: Definitely feels that. Yeah, but if you could deal with that,
- 2:27Speaker 2: you could you could live anywhere.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Yeah fast.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Yeah. People be complaining about Florida being human, and I'm like,
- 2:33Speaker 2: I lived in Tampa for two years. I'm like, this
- 2:35Speaker 2: is nothing I lived in. Like hell yeah, you know
- 2:37Speaker 2: what I'm saying is definitely that. And I saw you
- 2:40Speaker 2: perform too, right, you performed during.
- 2:41Speaker 3: I performed a couple of times.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I performed at the Boardroom party. I perform for Candice
- 2:47Speaker 1: Parker and at the Fincy party.
- 2:49Speaker 3: So I was making my rounds.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Out there Boardroom. That's KD right, Yeah, that's.
- 2:52Speaker 3: His new k It's a dope company too. I've been
- 2:56Speaker 3: to the office in New York. It's crazy.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Yeah. Does Katie give you any like a because he's
- 3:02Speaker 2: a real hip hop head. Yeah, Like he's like a
- 3:04Speaker 2: super tapped in dude. Does he did he give you
- 3:07Speaker 2: any like love on the bars?
- 3:08Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah on Instagram a couple of times when I dropped.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Katie always been supporting though, but he definitely let me
- 3:16Speaker 1: on his platform a lot.
- 3:18Speaker 3: They really be promoting my music.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I actually got to meet his mom at w NBA
- 3:23Speaker 1: Austin the Real MVP, the real MVP.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I was.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I was on real MVP, Yeah for real, I was.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I was like shell shock, So it was it was
- 3:31Speaker 1: dope to see her. But now Katie always show love.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Most of a lot of NBA player has been showing
- 3:34Speaker 1: love to my.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Music for Yeah, for sure, I've been seeing it. Walk
- 3:37Speaker 2: me through what it's like obviously kind of being like
- 3:40Speaker 2: the focal point of the sports world when you guys
- 3:43Speaker 2: had that crazy run and ended up, you know, winning
- 3:45Speaker 2: the women's championship while also being like a bubbling hip
- 3:50Speaker 2: hop artist.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Yeah, it was dope. It was.
- 3:53Speaker 1: It was dope to be at like the pinnacle of basketball,
- 3:56Speaker 1: like really at the top, and then even in music
- 3:58Speaker 1: still having like being like up and coming artists, you
- 4:01Speaker 1: know what I'm saying.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Because you're like in school at that time, You're still
- 4:03Speaker 2: going to class and stuff, and then like when are
- 4:05Speaker 2: you recording at that like you got practice? Like are
- 4:07Speaker 2: you recording in your dorm room.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Yeah. I literally bought a set up.
- 4:10Speaker 2: And I was you recording yourself?
- 4:12Speaker 3: Ye, I was recording myself in my career.
- 4:14Speaker 1: They showed me how to set it up, showed me
- 4:16Speaker 1: how to do the little engineer stuff, and I was sick.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Yeah, were you able to take it? I forget because
- 4:20Speaker 2: that was two years ago? Was the n il full
- 4:24Speaker 2: of fact?
- 4:24Speaker 3: I got my first n Io do when I came
- 4:25Speaker 3: out of high school.
- 4:26Speaker 2: So you were getting a bag?
- 4:27Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 4:28Speaker 1: From since since my high school year. I got my
- 4:30Speaker 1: shoe deal in high school. So before I came to college.
- 4:33Speaker 2: What shoe deal did you like? Oh? You had a Puma?
- 4:35Speaker 2: You and DeAndre Ayden shout out the d A DA's
- 4:38Speaker 2: got Pumas. Who else is on Puma? Mellow yb In
- 4:42Speaker 2: Corda Corday, Nipsy, Rest in Peace, Brianna Stewart, that's a
- 4:50Speaker 2: Brianna Stewart. Yeah, so you're fresh out of high school,
- 4:53Speaker 2: you get a shoe deal? What's your what's like?
- 4:56Speaker 3: Like?
- 4:56Speaker 2: That's got to be kind of crazy.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure.
- 4:59Speaker 1: I didn't think it was real because I'm going to
- 5:02Speaker 1: a Nike school and they give me all this money
- 5:04Speaker 1: to wear Puma's you know what I'm saying, Just.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Do they trip on you if you don't wear Nike
- 5:08Speaker 2: at the school? The school trip because the jersey has
- 5:11Speaker 2: the Nikes.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Yeah, like in the game. That's why I was like,
- 5:13Speaker 3: I feel like that's going that's gonna be a.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Rude that get changed, like kids, because a lot of
- 5:17Speaker 1: kids go to Nike schools, but they got other kinds
- 5:19Speaker 1: of shoe deals, you know what I'm saying. But you know,
- 5:21Speaker 1: the Nikes contracted with l s U, so you got
- 5:24Speaker 1: to wear it on the court.
- 5:25Speaker 2: But because I think, like NBA post games, you can't
- 5:28Speaker 2: have like Prime on the table. It has to be
- 5:31Speaker 2: it has to be.
- 5:32Speaker 3: It has to be the partners or the NBA. That's
- 5:35Speaker 3: how it is.
- 5:35Speaker 2: That is like eventually the schools are probably be like no, no, no, no,
- 5:38Speaker 2: no no, you gotta deal with Nike. We gotta deal
- 5:41Speaker 2: with Jordan's.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean I hope it changed, Like because I'm
- 5:45Speaker 3: real lawyer or whoever. My partner is like, I got it.
- 5:48Speaker 1: You know, we gotta wear Nike. I don't like, wear
- 5:49Speaker 1: no bigger than Nike on my forehead like Pool was back. Yeah,
- 5:52Speaker 1: most definitely, Yeah.
- 5:55Speaker 2: For sure for you like was it because you know,
- 5:59Speaker 2: it's so funny because this last when this last season
- 6:02Speaker 2: ended of women's sports or women's basketball, I was like,
- 6:06Speaker 2: you would think with the way that the w NBA
- 6:11Speaker 2: grossly underpays their players, that it would be more financially
- 6:17Speaker 2: beneficial for players of like Kaitlyn Clark or Angels stature
- 6:22Speaker 2: for yourself to stay in as long as possible because
- 6:26Speaker 2: the NIL deals, in theory, should be more lucrative than
- 6:29Speaker 2: what a w NBA contract would be. Is that wrong
- 6:32Speaker 2: or right? Yeah?
- 6:33Speaker 3: But it's not like the deals stop, right, It's like.
- 6:36Speaker 2: So if you leave college, the deals might just get bigger. Yeah,
- 6:39Speaker 2: now you can go by katelinclark sneaker.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Literally you ain't subject to just can't wear this on
- 6:44Speaker 1: the court. So really, that's the thing I think people
- 6:47Speaker 1: forget about is that like these deals and these relationships
- 6:49Speaker 1: that you build these companies just like because it's not
- 6:51Speaker 1: a nil deal no more, it's still endorsement deal. Now
- 6:55Speaker 1: it was just not nil, it's just endorsement. So that's
- 6:58Speaker 1: why it's important to bill relationships with the people. You you
- 7:00Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, building in college because it transcends
- 7:02Speaker 1: and it even get bigger.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Yeah, when you win the national championship, you get a ring. Yeah,
- 7:08Speaker 2: where is your ring?
- 7:10Speaker 3: Mine is in my mom's house.
- 7:11Speaker 2: She did she wear it?
- 7:12Speaker 3: No, she don't wear it. She's just like her little
- 7:15Speaker 3: trophy case that you just.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I mean, I just feel like that would be something
- 7:19Speaker 2: like if I was I would just pop that thing
- 7:20Speaker 2: out once a month.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I do.
- 7:22Speaker 1: When I had it at school in my dorm, I
- 7:25Speaker 1: used to just I got like this whole set up.
- 7:27Speaker 3: But I don't even have it no more because I
- 7:28Speaker 3: don't want to see it.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Are you still in school?
- 7:30Speaker 3: I want to win another one?
- 7:31Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, so you're still so damn so you're full
- 7:34Speaker 2: full fledged artists doing songs a little Wayne and Alie
- 7:38Speaker 2: Chappa and everybody.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Yeah, in college, No, it's crazy.
- 7:41Speaker 2: I'm going to college. Literally, what is your gp A
- 7:43Speaker 2: right now? I don't even know.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Everybody keep asking me that.
- 7:45Speaker 2: I mean it's summertime technically, right, so, like you're about
- 7:47Speaker 2: to go back to school soon.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Fat.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I'm really trying to be at I'm trying to get
- 7:51Speaker 1: like Stroughent Athlete of the Month a couple of times
- 7:53Speaker 1: this year. Really lock in on that. But yeah, like
- 7:57Speaker 1: I'll be doing a little bit of everything.
- 7:59Speaker 2: How hard is it to juggle, like juggle the school,
- 8:02Speaker 2: the music.
- 8:04Speaker 3: It's hard. It's hard. I ain't gonna lie, and it's
- 8:05Speaker 3: to be the communication for me.
- 8:07Speaker 1: My academic advice is mad at me right now because
- 8:09Speaker 1: I don't be you know, talking to every day. But
- 8:11Speaker 1: it's just be hard because it's just so much going on.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I'd be like, as long as I'm getting the work done, Like.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Like, what's your hardest class? Like last year, what was
- 8:19Speaker 2: your hardest class? Like the class that just was just
- 8:22Speaker 2: a thorn in your side?
- 8:23Speaker 3: Accounting was hard? Accounting you know I take I'm in
- 8:26Speaker 3: business or accounting.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Accounting sounds terrible.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Accounting it is hard.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Well, you're going to just pay someone to do that
- 8:31Speaker 2: for you when you get out of school.
- 8:33Speaker 3: No, because I want to. I want to. Well yeah,
- 8:34Speaker 3: but like I want to know what's going on.
- 8:36Speaker 2: No, you'll know what's going on. It's good because you're
- 8:37Speaker 2: able to kind of you know, yeah, have an accountant.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Facts, Yeah for sure, But I want to know what's
- 8:41Speaker 1: going on. Like that's only the reason why I take
- 8:43Speaker 1: my business courses. Like you know what I'm saying, Because
- 8:45Speaker 1: I want to.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I want to own businesses.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I want to own, you know, properties and things like that.
- 8:49Speaker 1: So I think it's just like learning that and knowing
- 8:51Speaker 1: what's going on. It's cool too because you can hire people,
- 8:54Speaker 1: but I want to know what they're talking about.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Have you been able to kind of like dive into
- 8:58Speaker 2: the business side of like learning a little bit more
- 9:00Speaker 2: about the music industry because it's definitely a very predatory
- 9:03Speaker 2: like shaky, Yeah, you don't know you can get taken
- 9:06Speaker 2: advantage of quick. Yeah.
- 9:07Speaker 3: I've been learning a lot about it, just even the.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Business behind working with producers, publishing. It's a whole another
- 9:13Speaker 1: side that people don't understand. And it's good for me
- 9:16Speaker 1: because I got a distribution deal, so like I own
- 9:19Speaker 1: all of my stuff, so like when I'm doing deals
- 9:22Speaker 1: with these people, I'm able to incorporate.
- 9:24Speaker 2: My muses Equte Rock Nation, Okay Nation.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:28Speaker 1: So yeah, Like so it's like I've been learning a
- 9:31Speaker 1: lot about it since I was sixteen. The way my
- 9:34Speaker 1: deal set up is just you know, I basically run
- 9:37Speaker 1: my label.
- 9:38Speaker 3: My label is distributed with.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Eq that's fire. How does little way a little way
- 9:43Speaker 2: into a big sports head? So I'm sure, I mean, look, yeah,
- 9:46Speaker 2: that's a crazy future to get crazy legendary while in college.
- 9:52Speaker 1: On my first EP like yeah, so, I mean it
- 9:55Speaker 1: happened how I was supposed to happen. And I was
- 9:57Speaker 1: always trying to get people to take me serious because
- 10:00Speaker 1: I felt like because I did basketball people did.
- 10:02Speaker 2: It's hard for sure. I feel like if once you
- 10:04Speaker 2: become known for something first, yeah, no matter what happens
- 10:07Speaker 2: after that, like it's hard to break out of the
- 10:10Speaker 2: shadow of what they know you for.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Right, But people knew me for music first because I
- 10:13Speaker 1: was on The Rap Game, which the pre I was
- 10:16Speaker 1: on America's Got Talent, Got the Golden Buzzer, and so
- 10:18Speaker 1: for all right, now I'm.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Like you you was like famous like the bat like
- 10:23Speaker 2: you win the national championship and probably the most like
- 10:26Speaker 2: televised like crazy ever, like not even just women's like that.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Like I can't think of a national championship game that
- 10:35Speaker 2: I've like paid more attention to or care more about
- 10:37Speaker 2: it than that, Yeah, because the rivalry it was just
- 10:40Speaker 2: so it was insane.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Yeah, but it was like it was like at the
- 10:43Speaker 1: same time, like people was like I already had like
- 10:47Speaker 1: motion going into college, like just being like all Americas
- 10:51Speaker 1: Got Talent on the Rap Game, and stuff like that
- 10:53Speaker 1: for music, So people was knowing me.
- 10:55Speaker 3: But when the basketball hit, people didn't.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Like put two and two together, Like I didn't really
- 10:59Speaker 1: thought I was two differ people like I was like
- 11:01Speaker 1: just the same girl, and I'm like, yes, I'm the
- 11:02Speaker 1: same person.
- 11:03Speaker 3: But it was just so Yeah, I think it's just crazy,
- 11:05Speaker 3: like how I be doing both? People were like, wow,
- 11:07Speaker 3: that's insane.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Not for sure, it's definitely interesting. What was Were you
- 11:12Speaker 2: in the studio with any of it? Because you got
- 11:15Speaker 2: two Air, you got Chop on there, you got Wayne.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Were you able to get in the studio with any
- 11:19Speaker 2: of them? No?
- 11:20Speaker 1: I only got in again me and me and two
- 11:21Speaker 1: Were We made that song in the studio, but he
- 11:23Speaker 1: did his verse with me in the studio and Choppo
- 11:26Speaker 1: I sent it off to him and Wayne I sent
- 11:28Speaker 1: it to him. Yeah, it took it took some time
- 11:31Speaker 1: to get Dwayne verse back. Chop was in his back
- 11:33Speaker 1: pretty fast.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like it would take some time to
- 11:35Speaker 2: get a Wayne versus back. Did you have to tap
- 11:37Speaker 2: him a couple of times?
- 11:38Speaker 3: I tapped him one time.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I don't forget about me, bro.
- 11:40Speaker 3: No I had I ain't want to text something like that.
- 11:42Speaker 1: I just went on Sway and I did this freestyle
- 11:44Speaker 1: to six foot seven foot yeah, and I posted.
- 11:48Speaker 3: That and went viral and he saw it. He saw it, Yeah,
- 11:52Speaker 3: he saw it. Then he hit me up and I
- 11:53Speaker 3: was like, Oh, the playwork perfectly.
- 11:55Speaker 2: What was it like when you got the Like when
- 11:56Speaker 2: you first heard the vocals?
- 11:58Speaker 1: I was going crazy, bro, I was yelling, running, screaming
- 12:01Speaker 1: up around the house.
- 12:02Speaker 3: I was like ma, like like ma. The vocals came
- 12:05Speaker 3: in and I didn't listen to it that much because
- 12:07Speaker 3: I was like, I don't want to. I don't want
- 12:09Speaker 3: to ruin it, like because you know, like after I
- 12:10Speaker 3: got the verse, I'm like, okay, now it's the business part,
- 12:13Speaker 3: you know.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Yeah you're independent.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm independent.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Like I ain't knew how much support we was gonna
- 12:19Speaker 1: get or if the label was gonna do all of it.
- 12:21Speaker 3: So it was crazy.
- 12:22Speaker 1: So I didn't like to get too happy about it
- 12:23Speaker 1: because I know how this music stuff go. But once
- 12:26Speaker 1: everything got clear, that's what I was like, Wow, like
- 12:28Speaker 1: this is real.
- 12:29Speaker 3: I ain't I ain't think it was real too.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Was shooting the video, you know what I'm saying, Because
- 12:32Speaker 1: once you shoot the video, that's like, you know, people
- 12:34Speaker 1: do it.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Ultimate.
- 12:37Speaker 2: So yeah, it was crazy to say. Has there been
- 12:39Speaker 2: like a big homie that you that's like embraced you
- 12:42Speaker 2: in the music game, giving you advice that you can
- 12:44Speaker 2: kind of like.
- 12:45Speaker 3: I gotta say, y Cloff shot out.
- 12:48Speaker 1: White cloff Man, he's been like the person that I
- 12:52Speaker 1: could call like, hey, I need some advice, like what
- 12:54Speaker 1: should I do in this pendicular?
- 12:56Speaker 2: Also one of the best live performers ever, ever ever.
- 12:59Speaker 1: He gave me, you know, his blessing, you know, with
- 13:01Speaker 1: the Ready or Not record that I did, did the
- 13:03Speaker 1: freestyle that went crazy too, and when it performed that
- 13:06Speaker 1: again on America's Got Tellent, it was crazy. And so
- 13:09Speaker 1: he just always been there for me anything I haven't needed.
- 13:11Speaker 1: And my uncle Bootsy for sure, like Boosy has.
- 13:14Speaker 3: Been there for me my whole life.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Shot too, your little uncle. No, he's just he's all
- 13:19Speaker 2: of our uncle.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Yeah, everybody that's that's like un for real.
- 13:22Speaker 2: That's shout out. Yeah. Just don't ever go to a
- 13:25Speaker 2: Boozy party.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Oh no, I don't go to those pool parties.
- 13:29Speaker 2: One of those fools. They'll be like, yo, it's a problem. Yeah.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Shots to Boosy though, Yeah, him and his uh, he's
- 13:37Speaker 2: somehow become like his blad interviews are like legendary. They're
- 13:42Speaker 2: like the CNN of like rap Glad just once a
- 13:45Speaker 2: month brings Boozy in and they just go over everything,
- 13:47Speaker 2: all the happening. And then I don't say he's the
- 13:52Speaker 2: only person that you can't cancel.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Boozy boy gave me canceled, even though he'd be wild sometimes.
- 13:57Speaker 2: What has been advice he's given you.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Man Boots Bootsy, Like I just used to stay with
- 14:06Speaker 1: him and just watch how he move, Like that's like
- 14:08Speaker 1: the best advice that I could get from him.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Like he a real person that takes care of everybody.
- 14:12Speaker 2: No, you see it, like he's building everybody everyone like
- 14:16Speaker 2: exactly like.
- 14:17Speaker 1: And so like him even trying to help me, Like
- 14:20Speaker 1: you know how many people knew my dad and like
- 14:22Speaker 1: after he died, they ain't extended hand or nothing. Boosie
- 14:26Speaker 1: was always there, like you need anything, like I got you.
- 14:28Speaker 1: He called Jermaine dupri and was like, my niece need
- 14:31Speaker 1: to get on that show on the Rap Game, right,
- 14:32Speaker 1: make it happen, like you know what I'm saying.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Like, so he really been like one of my latle guardian.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Angels out here in the rap game.
- 14:39Speaker 3: I was on The Rap Game when I was twelve.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Jesus Christ.
- 14:41Speaker 3: It was a long time ago, but that was one
- 14:43Speaker 3: of the biggest.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Shows ever came back then, like Lotto was on for yep.
- 14:49Speaker 3: I think Ji to Prince New York.
- 14:53Speaker 2: What's the girl who's with Ethhica from New York starts
- 14:59Speaker 2: with the s I usually know everybody my tripping was
- 15:05Speaker 2: she not on The Rap Game? She was on one
- 15:06Speaker 2: of them? Yeah, I forget it. Oh no, it's not her,
- 15:12Speaker 2: but yeah, but nah, I know a lot it was
- 15:14Speaker 2: and she was long on there as a kid, right, yeah,
- 15:16Speaker 2: she was like sixteen. So what's the difference between like
- 15:19Speaker 2: your experience, like going on the show like that and
- 15:21Speaker 2: then going on the show like America's Got Talent, which is.
- 15:23Speaker 3: It's totally different.
- 15:24Speaker 1: It's only different because of the demographic, right, you know,
- 15:27Speaker 1: mostly black people Watchual rep Game. Like, you know what
- 15:29Speaker 1: I'm saying. It's a big, culturally influenced show. You know
- 15:32Speaker 1: what I'm saying, just being what it was, But America's
- 15:35Speaker 1: Got Talent. I knew that I wanted to be the
- 15:37Speaker 1: type of rapper that was diverse, and I wanted everybody
- 15:40Speaker 1: to be able to listen to my music. And you know,
- 15:43Speaker 1: I knew how to I knew how to make that transcend.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Like you know what I'm saying, a lot of people
- 15:49Speaker 1: can't only perform in the club and can't go perform
- 15:51Speaker 1: at like a festa arena.
- 15:53Speaker 3: So so I always wanted to be that type of artist.
- 15:56Speaker 1: And you know, doing that on America's Got Talent at
- 15:59Speaker 1: that early age a kind of just set me.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Up for the success.
- 16:02Speaker 2: I was gonna say, America's Got Talent. Who were the
- 16:04Speaker 2: judges because they've had so many different cast judges.
- 16:07Speaker 1: My judges was a Simon Kyle, Heidi uh.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Howie and the spice girl mel.
- 16:16Speaker 2: And that's like the show where if you go they're
- 16:18Speaker 2: looking at you as like an act. Yeah, like you
- 16:21Speaker 2: have to translate. Their thing is like could you be
- 16:23Speaker 2: a Vegas actor? Could you like tours? Yeah?
- 16:26Speaker 3: So yeah. And then you know.
- 16:27Speaker 2: There's been like puppeteers and all kind of crazy people.
- 16:30Speaker 1: That's why I wasn't too mad when I lost anyway, Bro,
- 16:33Speaker 1: Like I knew that I ain't want to come on
- 16:35Speaker 1: this show and be like, no, gimmick, Like you know
- 16:37Speaker 1: what I'm saying, Like rappers come over there and no.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I was like, Bro, I'm about to bring the streets
- 16:41Speaker 1: so got talent. I'm aout to bring a rap to
- 16:43Speaker 1: America's got talent. And that was so different because everybody
- 16:45Speaker 1: who came forward was all gimmicky and stuff like that.
- 16:48Speaker 1: But I really came on there with a real story.
- 16:50Speaker 1: That's how I got the golden buzzer.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Have you been able to link up with lotto and
- 16:53Speaker 2: share being rapping children's stories with each other? Nah Na
- 16:58Speaker 2: shouts a lot of her new album I got to
- 16:59Speaker 2: hear the other night is fine.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Yeah, she got it. She got a dope pin. She
- 17:03Speaker 3: wanted a female rappers like really rap?
- 17:05Speaker 2: Yeah? Is it like interesting for you? Because I just
- 17:07Speaker 2: saw someone tweet this recently. Somebody just tweeted this was
- 17:11Speaker 2: another oh coiler. Ray said, all this female, all these
- 17:14Speaker 2: female dishes all each other are usually written by grown
- 17:18Speaker 2: ass men. But I'm saying for you like bringing like
- 17:21Speaker 2: actually like being behind your lyrics because you know, listen,
- 17:25Speaker 2: I don't care if someone writes I'm over that shit
- 17:27Speaker 2: at this point, if the song's dope and you deliver
- 17:30Speaker 2: it whatever, like you know what I mean. But for you,
- 17:33Speaker 2: like having pride in your pan and stuff. Yeah, are
- 17:38Speaker 2: you open or receptive to like help on songs or
- 17:41Speaker 2: hooks or melodies.
- 17:42Speaker 1: I'm open the hooks for show. Like, if somebody want
- 17:44Speaker 1: to send me a hook, you can send them all day.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Like I'm with that, like because I know that, uh,
- 17:49Speaker 1: you know, it's areas and music where you could just
- 17:52Speaker 1: you know, have people to help make your music better.
- 17:55Speaker 1: I really like writing my verses, Like I don't really
- 17:57Speaker 1: like help writing my verses because I just feel like
- 17:58Speaker 1: I killed verses with hooks.
- 18:00Speaker 3: I'm definitely open to even like song structure.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Right, strong structure, maybe a.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Bridge, yeah, maybe, Like I loved that because even if.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Someone gives you like a dope melody, like if the
- 18:08Speaker 2: moment you feel in the lyrics. Yeah, So I.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Think it's just about being creative and who you create with,
- 18:13Speaker 1: Like that's really the vibe. But anybody feel just sit
- 18:15Speaker 1: there and write my whole verse and tell me to
- 18:17Speaker 1: recite it.
- 18:18Speaker 2: When you named your album, did you have any sort of,
- 18:22Speaker 2: uh call back to R Kelly and jay Z? No,
- 18:28Speaker 2: because this is I think there's the best of both worlds, right,
- 18:31Speaker 2: nothing to do. You don't remember the R Kelly jay
- 18:33Speaker 2: Z albums.
- 18:34Speaker 3: No, I'm born in two thousand and three. Album came out.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I don't know, but there was two. There was the
- 18:40Speaker 2: Best of Both Worlds one, which was jay Z and
- 18:42Speaker 2: R Kelly, and then they did the Best of Both
- 18:45Speaker 2: Worlds two, and then they did a tour together. But
- 18:48Speaker 2: in the middle of the tour they beefed out and
- 18:52Speaker 2: like I think something happened to R Kelly on stage
- 18:55Speaker 2: or something. There's like a fight. So there's two full
- 18:59Speaker 2: Like I'm not talking about like like imagine, like listen,
- 19:02Speaker 2: obviously R Kelly is a horrible human being who deserves
- 19:05Speaker 2: to be in prison for however long they keep him there.
- 19:08Speaker 2: He should be under the prison, but he's R Kelly,
- 19:10Speaker 2: like he's arguably one of the greatest, if not the greatest,
- 19:14Speaker 2: are gonna be artists world time. So there's two full
- 19:18Speaker 2: Like jay Z is the goat and R Kelly at
- 19:21Speaker 2: a certain point in time is the goat in his world.
- 19:22Speaker 2: They did two whole albums together. That's crazy world.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I'm never I'm not old enough for a for like.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Like I'm not even you're a junior in college. It's
- 19:31Speaker 2: a it's okay, yeah, but yeah, there's there's just so
- 19:35Speaker 2: you know, no, I.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Don't even know.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I was just thinking like I wanted to come up
- 19:39Speaker 1: with something that was kind of like catchy, and I
- 19:40Speaker 1: was like.
- 19:41Speaker 2: I get it. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. The
- 19:43Speaker 2: album is dope to the car. The artwork is fired.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Whoever did that's fucking nailed it now.
- 19:47Speaker 3: He killed it.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 19:48Speaker 3: He put what I had in my head right on
- 19:50Speaker 3: the paper.
- 19:50Speaker 2: It was amazing. Talk to me like, for you, once
- 19:54Speaker 2: school starts back up, once basketball starts back up full time,
- 19:57Speaker 2: are you going to have time to are you gonna
- 20:01Speaker 2: take a little you got the project out, Yeah, you
- 20:03Speaker 2: can breathe on the music a little for a while.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm definitely gonna breathe, but no, not super breathe.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Like I'm trying to keep I'm trying to stay consistent
- 20:10Speaker 1: because I think that it's it's a shocking that consistency.
- 20:12Speaker 3: People like, how the heck is she doing It's like
- 20:14Speaker 3: how she dropped for music? How is she doing that?
- 20:16Speaker 1: And that's the reason I've been working so hard this
- 20:18Speaker 1: summer so that I could just drop without having to work.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Well, and then you got this stuff, take some of
- 20:23Speaker 2: that that brand, and you know, get an assistant. You
- 20:25Speaker 2: know what I'm saying.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Yeah, literally, I did just put out were about to
- 20:30Speaker 1: do interviews on the systems now because it's a lot
- 20:32Speaker 1: going on, But I'm definitely gonna stay consistent, like I'm
- 20:34Speaker 1: about to drop the Deluxe for best of both worlds?
- 20:37Speaker 2: And how many how many songs?
- 20:38Speaker 3: Four more songs?
- 20:39Speaker 2: Any any other features or just.
- 20:41Speaker 1: You If I get the big future feature that I
- 20:43Speaker 1: want to get in times, gonna go in there.
- 20:45Speaker 2: But just having for fruity and fruiting and Freudian slip
- 20:48Speaker 2: when you said future instead of future.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Yeah, no no, no no no no.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I get the future, you know what I'm saying.
- 20:56Speaker 3: But if I get the big feature that I won't,
- 20:58Speaker 3: then it's gonna go in there. But if I don't,
- 20:59Speaker 3: it ain't no pressure.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Random question. As someone who's in college actively, I'm not
- 21:04Speaker 2: sure I could have went to school in twenty twenty
- 21:07Speaker 2: four without using Chat GPT to do all of my homework.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Do people in I'm not saying you do, yeah, but
- 21:15Speaker 2: do people in college use chat GPT for homework?
- 21:19Speaker 1: Bro?
- 21:19Speaker 3: I'm not finna snitch on my game. What are you
- 21:21Speaker 3: talking about? I got a whole lot of college students
- 21:23Speaker 3: that love me. I don't know, I mean personally, I
- 21:25Speaker 3: don't use it.
- 21:26Speaker 2: I use that ship for everything, like if I use
- 21:28Speaker 2: it too, for.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Like I'd be like, I'd be like a chat like
- 21:30Speaker 1: how do you how do I like you make a
- 21:33Speaker 1: test list for my way?
- 21:34Speaker 2: Yes? Or I'll be like, yo, I need an agreement
- 21:37Speaker 2: for this, this, this, this, and I'd be like, why
- 21:39Speaker 2: do you need a lawyer?
- 21:40Speaker 3: For real? Like it's crazy, like it's really crazy. But
- 21:44Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 21:45Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 21:46Speaker 3: They might be out there using it, but I don't.
- 21:47Speaker 3: I don't because if you could.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Get caught like that they got like AI Checkers, Like
- 21:53Speaker 1: every time it's a loophole, it's something to stop that loophole,
- 21:55Speaker 1: like they got AI Checkers.
- 21:56Speaker 3: So you might as well just write your own paper.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Game, Yang, What is your is your major business?
- 22:00Speaker 3: That's business? My miner is entrepreneurship.
- 22:03Speaker 2: That's sick, all right. So you got to walk me through.
- 22:07Speaker 2: How serious was the rivalry level with the Caitlin Clark
- 22:16Speaker 2: Yourself an Angel? It was almost like it felt it
- 22:19Speaker 2: felt like it was like some wrestling shit, and then
- 22:23Speaker 2: it felt like that again, and then to watch them
- 22:26Speaker 2: playing together on Team WNBA and Caitlyn addition, the Angel
- 22:31Speaker 2: reads this shit was so fire.
- 22:33Speaker 1: I think it's more so the fans that be coming
- 22:35Speaker 1: up with stories and making stuff up in their head
- 22:37Speaker 1: because they really think we all hate each other, and
- 22:40Speaker 1: it's not the case, Like that's far from it. Like
- 22:42Speaker 1: I'm a fan of both, like Angel and Caitlin, Like
- 22:46Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Like everybody think it was such a big rivalry when
- 22:48Speaker 3: it wasn't. It was really the media that was making
- 22:50Speaker 3: it like what it was. It wasn't it was.
- 22:53Speaker 2: I feel like that's the case with just like everything else,
- 22:57Speaker 2: media just sets it on fire and just walks off and.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Then the fans go, oh, and like you know what
- 23:01Speaker 1: I'm saying, you got they tried to make it a
- 23:03Speaker 1: white black thing, which was lame, Like you know what
- 23:05Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 23:05Speaker 2: I feel like that is the main thing.
- 23:07Speaker 1: That's the only thing you can do to make it
- 23:09Speaker 1: like not the fire. So I felt like that's lame already,
- 23:11Speaker 1: like you know what I'm saying. So, but it was
- 23:13Speaker 1: never like that. It was it was it was the media.
- 23:15Speaker 2: It's just like yo, it's just everyone.
- 23:17Speaker 3: It's just who Like you know what I'm saying.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Yeah, and both of them are breaking records.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Yeah, No, it's crazy.
- 23:22Speaker 2: It is kind of like I swear, like I give
- 23:25Speaker 2: it up because all them young ladies who are n
- 23:29Speaker 2: the w n B A. The game has changed and
- 23:32Speaker 2: the money is finally feels like it's coming in right.
- 23:36Speaker 1: No, I mean yeah, the money game changed, but the
- 23:39Speaker 1: game game ain't never really changed.
- 23:41Speaker 2: I mean just like the game of like overall, like yo,
- 23:44Speaker 2: like shit has switched up now. Like now there's like
- 23:47Speaker 2: a you know, a shout to Asia and shout to
- 23:50Speaker 2: Caitlin having Nike deals like that.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Shit's crazy, like spotlight on it.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's like good basketball.
- 23:56Speaker 1: I mean been like that. That's what I'm telling y'all.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Like folks think like this, Oh they just started playing
- 24:00Speaker 1: good nah.
- 24:01Speaker 2: You know what it needed. Though. It was like when
- 24:03Speaker 2: I was growing up, it was like Lisa Leslie Shell Swoops, uh,
- 24:07Speaker 2: Rebecca Lobo, yeah, you know all them, like like the
- 24:11Speaker 2: first I watched the WA when it first came out,
- 24:13Speaker 2: you know, but it was just there was like a
- 24:15Speaker 2: I don't know if it's just there, Like y'all, what
- 24:18Speaker 2: y'all did in college is making this ship hot because
- 24:21Speaker 2: everybody was watching the draft.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Yeah, like that shit's crazy. Yeah, that is crazy.
- 24:25Speaker 1: I said that too though, But it's a new time
- 24:27Speaker 1: and it's it's like the moment now for the w NBA.
- 24:29Speaker 3: So it's just gonna it's gonna for me.
- 24:31Speaker 1: It's gonna be dope to see the business behind it
- 24:33Speaker 1: and how they conduct themselves as a league to make
- 24:34Speaker 1: it better.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Do you plan on going to the league and doing
- 24:37Speaker 2: both like music and the and the w NBA.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna stop this.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:41Speaker 1: I've been doing this since I was seven eight years old,
- 24:44Speaker 1: so this is all I really know.
- 24:45Speaker 2: That's fire. Yeah, I mean a lot of people and
- 24:47Speaker 2: Damian Lillard is obviously one of the goats and has
- 24:52Speaker 2: a very you know, decently successful music career. They have you,
- 24:57Speaker 2: Dame done any music?
- 24:58Speaker 3: No, we're all gonna go do podcast, Get on my podcast.
- 25:01Speaker 2: He could rant his ass off, Yeah he can rot.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Dame is special lyrically. He is uh top tier for sure.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Shack too though, you guys happen with Shack. I got
- 25:11Speaker 2: l s U great by the way.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I gotta listen to Shack. I heard you got
- 25:14Speaker 3: a song with Biggie. Had listen to that.
- 25:16Speaker 2: J Z and j Z and he has a jay
- 25:18Speaker 2: z a song with jay Z and Noads together. He's
- 25:21Speaker 2: got big I mean, yeah, listen, with all due respect
- 25:23Speaker 2: to Damien Lither that Neil is the greatest rapper ever
- 25:28Speaker 2: to come out of the NBA. He is fired. He
- 25:31Speaker 2: just put out a new feature with a group called
- 25:33Speaker 2: Coyote Out in l A and Shaq was barring the
- 25:35Speaker 2: fuck out you guys have to do.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Yeah, we definitely got to make something happen because you
- 25:43Speaker 1: guys are from the same school.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Yeah, he went to l s U. Yeah, how is
- 25:48Speaker 3: I always here?
- 25:49Speaker 2: Like what is it like going to school L s U?
- 25:51Speaker 2: Because I always feel like, you know, like at least
- 25:55Speaker 2: something from the football side, Like it's so crazy, like
- 25:59Speaker 2: the way they worship like L. S U or Alabama,
- 26:03Speaker 2: It's like that. It's like that for real.
- 26:05Speaker 3: It's like a coach and I'm a part of it.
- 26:06Speaker 3: I love L s U. Bro, the Tigers.
- 26:10Speaker 1: They don't play and our fans don't play like we
- 26:13Speaker 1: take this series when we bleed.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Purple and gold for real.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Yeah, and like basketball and football, I mean women's basketball.
- 26:19Speaker 2: I don't know what.
- 26:22Speaker 3: They getting there.
- 26:23Speaker 1: They getting there, but it's a rebuilding their program, Like
- 26:26Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Coach, I told coach mokey, like, Bro,
- 26:28Speaker 1: you set in the bar crazy high, Like she.
- 26:30Speaker 3: Came in second year and won Natty Like that's crazy.
- 26:32Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 26:33Speaker 1: It's heard of really her first year if you think
- 26:35Speaker 1: about it, because the first year she was actually there,
- 26:37Speaker 1: those were players that she didn't recruit.
- 26:39Speaker 2: I'm just glad Yukon got knocked off because I was. No.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I was just you got to understand how boring it
- 26:45Speaker 2: is that every year the same person. It's Yukon winning
- 26:48Speaker 2: the championship, going undefeated.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Every year it's Dominans. That's greatness.
- 26:52Speaker 2: No, it's greatness.
- 26:54Speaker 3: Ready for a new, a new.
- 26:55Speaker 2: But something like something new.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like Lebron in the conference fin those every.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Year exactly, I feel, which I was okay with because
- 27:02Speaker 2: I'm a big Lebron fan.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Yeah me too.
- 27:04Speaker 2: So I have a Lebron toy up there, show Lebron
- 27:07Speaker 2: by the way, shout out to Lebron Captain America. God
- 27:09Speaker 2: damn it the way he's wigving that fucking flag.
- 27:12Speaker 3: We love we love Lebron over here. K.
- 27:16Speaker 2: I should say I'm a Son's fan, so I said, NERK,
- 27:18Speaker 2: but h, what is your basketball team like in the NBA.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Oh, I guess the Pelicans. I'm in New Orleans. I
- 27:26Speaker 3: go to games all the time.
- 27:28Speaker 1: We got we just got, uh Murray traded.
- 27:31Speaker 3: All our people got murried. So I'm excited to see
- 27:34Speaker 3: them play together. B I, Zion Murray's crazy?
- 27:37Speaker 2: Wait which Murray did they get? Oh? Did you from
- 27:40Speaker 2: from the Hawks? At Y? Yeah? Yeah, I forgot all
- 27:42Speaker 2: about that trade. Jeesus.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Yeah, so we got a big three. But I love
- 27:47Speaker 3: my favorite players, like Anthony, you.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Have a medium three. You got to relax throwing that
- 27:51Speaker 2: big three out there. You gotta you gott a fucking
- 27:53Speaker 2: real medium chill like you.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Okay, okay, b I.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, yeah, if Kenny stay on the on the court. Next, Zion,
- 28:04Speaker 2: can't you stay off the buffet?
- 28:07Speaker 1: Bro?
- 28:08Speaker 2: Murray good, he's good. Not a perennial All Star by
- 28:12Speaker 2: any means, but he's good. He has that all star
- 28:15Speaker 2: potential big three. Look, you also have CJ. McCollum, who's
- 28:19Speaker 2: an also all star level player in his career at
- 28:21Speaker 2: certain points.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Yeah, but he's like.
- 28:23Speaker 2: On the tail end of his career. Yeah. So like
- 28:26Speaker 2: the Sons have a big three. Okay, we could say
- 28:28Speaker 2: the Sons have a big.
- 28:29Speaker 3: A potential big.
- 28:30Speaker 2: They could be. Potentially they have a potential big Okay
- 28:33Speaker 2: Noll if everything lines up. I love the Pelicans roster
- 28:36Speaker 2: because they got herb Jones mothers so nice a d No.
- 28:41Speaker 2: I love their shots. Look, I'm do you root for
- 28:45Speaker 2: the Chicago Is it the Chicago Sky? Yeah? Yeah, you
- 28:49Speaker 2: root for the Sky because Angels? Is that your That's
- 28:51Speaker 2: not my team until you.
- 28:53Speaker 3: I don't have a.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Team because you're about to get drafted to what. I
- 28:55Speaker 2: really like the Dream, the Dream. I'm from Georgia, but
- 28:59Speaker 2: you're about to be on a team, so once, I
- 29:01Speaker 2: hope you go to the Mercury because I'm happy to
- 29:02Speaker 2: live in Phoenix.
- 29:03Speaker 3: Oh, I love the Mercury. I love DT.
- 29:06Speaker 2: I love Yeah, shout out to uh Like I don't obviously,
- 29:12Speaker 2: I follow the w NBA pretty surface level. I've gotten
- 29:15Speaker 2: a lot more into it this year, just like the
- 29:16Speaker 2: rest of the world. But it is Tarassi the goat
- 29:21Speaker 2: of women's basketball? Is she like the goat? Is she
- 29:24Speaker 2: the Jordan?
- 29:25Speaker 3: Yeh? She one of the goals for sure?
- 29:26Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure. It's like, you know, we got Jordan
- 29:30Speaker 2: and Lebron right, Is she is she the one? Is
- 29:33Speaker 2: she that to so far?
- 29:36Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 29:36Speaker 3: I mean you got her, you got Sue, Yeah, but you.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Got like Cheryl Miller, you got like cheroh swoops like
- 29:44Speaker 1: you got like you know what I'm saying.
- 29:47Speaker 3: But DT is She's.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Legend like Jesus for sure.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I gotta I gotta figure out the hierarchy. I'm
- 29:54Speaker 3: gonna ask on Twitter, like, what's what is it?
- 29:56Speaker 2: Yeah? For you, is it like when you departmentalize your
- 30:04Speaker 2: time for your priorities? What is music? Obviously school school, right,
- 30:10Speaker 2: You're gonna handle your school ship. Yeah, but between music
- 30:13Speaker 2: and sports, what are you focused most on?
- 30:15Speaker 1: It's just like time period. So yeah, during the season
- 30:18Speaker 1: on basketball.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Right, summertimes, I'm gonna get this music take the back.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Seat for the next nine months eight months?
- 30:25Speaker 2: Do you already obviously talked about the deluxe album? Are
- 30:28Speaker 2: you recording stuff just in case? Like Heyl mid season?
- 30:30Speaker 2: I got it surprising.
- 30:32Speaker 1: I literally got drops lined up all the way until
- 30:34Speaker 1: January right now, so I'm gonna still be flooding throughout
- 30:37Speaker 1: the season. I got a whole campaign set up for
- 30:39Speaker 1: January through March March Madness EP.
- 30:41Speaker 3: I got a lot.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Is there somebody who's tapped in with you on the
- 30:43Speaker 2: music side? That you haven't necessarily worked with, but you'd like.
- 30:46Speaker 3: To Jacob be crazy. I mean, you know what I'm saying,
- 30:50Speaker 3: that's like my favorite rapper.
- 30:51Speaker 2: I think he's he made a very smart business decision to.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Step back. Yeah, he did.
- 30:59Speaker 2: My name's been and.
- 31:00Speaker 4: I was like, at first, I was like, what's going on?
- 31:03Speaker 4: Cold a man, smart move and the right move for
- 31:09Speaker 4: him as like a human being.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Yeah, they say, they say it was like on Twitter,
- 31:12Speaker 1: they was like j Cole got a praying Grandma was
- 31:16Speaker 1: even spiritual.
- 31:17Speaker 2: I'm just so glad because we because I don't. I
- 31:20Speaker 2: feel like I feel like if Cold had stayed.
- 31:23Speaker 3: In it, but that's not even his energy.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Though, no, it's not his energy, and him and Kendrick
- 31:28Speaker 2: are actually friends. But if you have stayed in it,
- 31:30Speaker 2: I feel like the battle would have been a lot different.
- 31:32Speaker 2: And the way it played out, we got some of
- 31:35Speaker 2: the best shit ever we got not like us like
- 31:39Speaker 2: it was the better that they was just focused on
- 31:41Speaker 2: those two as opposed to like Kendrick throwing I got
- 31:45Speaker 2: a third verse for Cold.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:46Speaker 2: Yeah, And like you said, when it felt right like
- 31:48Speaker 2: dream Ville and TD are so synonymous and that a
- 31:51Speaker 2: lot of the artists are friends and family. I mean,
- 31:54Speaker 2: fans don't want to choose sides. Ye, smart move shot
- 31:58Speaker 2: the cold Man? Yeah what did you think of just
- 32:00Speaker 2: from being a hip hop fan? I'm sure you enjoyed Drake.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Uh what'd you think to watch The Fall of Drake?
- 32:06Speaker 3: The what?
- 32:06Speaker 2: The fall?
- 32:07Speaker 3: That's not a real thing?
- 32:08Speaker 2: The Fall of Drake?
- 32:09Speaker 3: The Fall?
- 32:10Speaker 2: Yeah, what do you mean by that? I just mean
- 32:13Speaker 2: he got just picked apart and destroyed it.
- 32:17Speaker 3: I think it was a lapse, you know what I'm saying.
- 32:19Speaker 2: But I don't He's gonna be fine.
- 32:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean he was.
- 32:22Speaker 2: He's Drake.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Drake could drop another album and it ain't even go.
- 32:25Speaker 2: It just will never hit the same. You don't.
- 32:27Speaker 3: Come on now, are you dragging it? You're dragging it?
- 32:30Speaker 3: Come on, Drake will never hit it. Come on, bro,
- 32:32Speaker 3: We're gonna come back with classics after this.
- 32:34Speaker 2: He got to well, I'm gonna say this. Since the battle,
- 32:38Speaker 2: he's been shooting air balls.
- 32:39Speaker 3: He's been in turns of Keko. You know what I'm saying.
- 32:41Speaker 3: He's probably been in Turks.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Just that com Camilla, what's the Camilla Cabeo ship? That
- 32:46Speaker 2: ship missed the Sexy Red record?
- 32:49Speaker 3: What Sexy Red Record?
- 32:50Speaker 2: Were he where he talked about BBL drizzy, Uh you
- 32:54Speaker 2: my everything?
- 32:55Speaker 3: Oh no, that's fire?
- 32:57Speaker 2: Yeah is it?
- 32:59Speaker 3: I said, who I like Sexy ra.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Oh, sexy is amazing. She's in my opinion, like I
- 33:06Speaker 2: shared one of my favorite albums last year. She's her
- 33:09Speaker 2: ear for Beats is crazy, sexuy reds fucking sick. Yeah,
- 33:12Speaker 2: and she's cool as fuck.
- 33:13Speaker 3: She seemed like it.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think it's like at the end of
- 33:16Speaker 2: the day, like I just think it's dope nowadays, Like
- 33:19Speaker 2: you know, because like when I was growing up, we
- 33:21Speaker 2: have like a dope I feel like a real ill
- 33:23Speaker 2: female hip hop class where it was like twenty chicks
- 33:29Speaker 2: were popping. But I feel like in then, like two thousands,
- 33:32Speaker 2: it was really just NICKI yeah, you know, for a
- 33:35Speaker 2: long time and so and then because of that, it
- 33:38Speaker 2: kind of made it to where there was so much
- 33:41Speaker 2: like weird competition and people were really approaching that like
- 33:44Speaker 2: there could only be one at a time that was cracking.
- 33:46Speaker 2: And it's like now it's like, yo, the females are
- 33:48Speaker 2: running rapt crazy and it's been like that for like
- 33:51Speaker 2: three or four years. Like I say that, I always
- 33:53Speaker 2: say this, like, dudes, don't even try in the studio anymore.
- 33:56Speaker 2: All the women who are actually like they're making real record,
- 34:00Speaker 2: they're actually applying themselves to like trying to make hits, they're.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Making real records. And then the marketing is they're actually
- 34:06Speaker 1: care about the rollouts.
- 34:07Speaker 3: They're caring about the marketing and they can.
- 34:09Speaker 2: And there's so many, so much dynamic between like a
- 34:11Speaker 2: girl like rap City or yourself or like Sexy Red
- 34:14Speaker 2: or like Loto.
- 34:15Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just so many.
- 34:16Speaker 1: It's so I think everybody gives you a different taste
- 34:18Speaker 1: of what you were like for sure.
- 34:20Speaker 3: So's it's like so much to go around.
- 34:22Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, Who's your favorite? Like if
- 34:24Speaker 2: you like you say J Cole all time is your goal?
- 34:26Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 34:26Speaker 2: Okay, who else is in that conversation for you? Like
- 34:28Speaker 2: whold you grow up listening to? Besides Cool Park?
- 34:31Speaker 3: My father? For show number one?
- 34:33Speaker 2: Who's your dad?
- 34:34Speaker 3: Camouflage?
- 34:35Speaker 2: What the fuck from Fuy' it's crazy?
- 34:38Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 34:38Speaker 2: I had Camouflages album when I was a kid, No
- 34:41Speaker 2: Way the Street, the big one. It was on what
- 34:46Speaker 2: fucking label? Was it on?
- 34:47Speaker 3: Universal?
- 34:48Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 34:48Speaker 3: I probably strictly for the Street.
- 34:50Speaker 2: I'm trying to remember the artwork I have the artwork.
- 34:52Speaker 2: In my head, it was like real classic.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Are you having a bandana?
- 34:55Speaker 2: Yes?
- 34:55Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Is a camouflage bandana? Yeah? That's crazy? What the fuck?
- 35:00Speaker 2: Yeah that's you know what's crazy? Is I feel like
- 35:02Speaker 2: I heard that. I'm glad. Yeah yeah that's crazy.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Your dad was like a fucking he was like that.
- 35:08Speaker 2: He was one in one for sure.
- 35:10Speaker 3: I'll be telling people that didn't want to listen.
- 35:11Speaker 2: So when you were growing up, like you were like, really,
- 35:13Speaker 2: how were you when your dad passed away? He died
- 35:15Speaker 2: before I was born, So okay, so you didn't know
- 35:17Speaker 2: your dad like that.
- 35:18Speaker 3: He died in May. I was born in November.
- 35:20Speaker 2: So when you're growing up, like does your mom put
- 35:23Speaker 2: you on like this is this is your dad shit?
- 35:25Speaker 1: So like you gotta think in Savannah he was basically
- 35:27Speaker 1: a legend, you know what I'm saying when he died,
- 35:29Speaker 1: So people was telling me about it. But then when
- 35:31Speaker 1: I got around six or seven, my mom really gave
- 35:33Speaker 1: me the whole gi just about you know everything. She
- 35:36Speaker 1: let me listen to his music and since then like
- 35:38Speaker 1: that was my favorite rapper.
- 35:39Speaker 3: Like you couldn't tell me nothing, like you know you
- 35:41Speaker 3: try to.
- 35:41Speaker 2: I feel like you have you tried to sample one
- 35:43Speaker 2: of his old records.
- 35:44Speaker 3: No, not yet.
- 35:45Speaker 1: We actually I'm actually trying to were pulling his like
- 35:47Speaker 1: lyrics and stuff so we could try to do a
- 35:49Speaker 1: song together and stuff like that.
- 35:50Speaker 3: It's gonna be crazy, but.
- 35:52Speaker 1: I'll be trying to, like, like everybody want me to
- 35:54Speaker 1: everybody want me to remix like cut friends and all
- 35:56Speaker 1: of that, and I'm like, I ain't doing it. It's
- 35:58Speaker 1: certain like for me, I put my dad on such
- 36:00Speaker 1: a high pedestal.
- 36:02Speaker 2: I'm telling you, I think it'd be hard. Though, Like
- 36:04Speaker 2: my boy struggled, he did a his dad. His grandpa
- 36:07Speaker 2: was a dude named Whalen Jennings who's like a big
- 36:09Speaker 2: country singer. So he read he did like a hip
- 36:11Speaker 2: hop version of his song Outlaws ship the show so far.
- 36:15Speaker 2: But you only get you gotta do it if it
- 36:16Speaker 2: feels right. But what's cool is like, even if you
- 36:19Speaker 2: don't have the access to the masters and the A
- 36:22Speaker 2: cappellas nowadays, you could like, yeah, you strip the beat out,
- 36:27Speaker 2: that'd be fire.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Yeah, But I definitely want to do something nobody ever
- 36:29Speaker 1: heard before. And I got like a lot of the
- 36:31Speaker 1: A debts and stuff like that, so.
- 36:32Speaker 2: You have like unreleased stuff from the pops. That's super crazy.
- 36:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Yeah, like he always been my favorite rapper. If you
- 36:39Speaker 1: listen to my songs, I try to just mimic his cadence.
- 36:41Speaker 1: I literally try to do everything he do from t.
- 36:45Speaker 2: That's super dope. Damn, that's crazy. So for you like ship,
- 36:50Speaker 2: this ship's in you, it ain't on you.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I'll be trying to tell people. That's
- 36:53Speaker 1: why I hate when they try to put me in
- 36:54Speaker 1: that category of like a rapper hooper and I'm just
- 36:57Speaker 1: like no, I literally just do both like his music
- 36:59Speaker 1: in my blo.
- 37:00Speaker 3: It's deeper than just me wanting to, you know, saying
- 37:03Speaker 3: do music.
- 37:04Speaker 1: I got a reason, Like I always just wanted to
- 37:06Speaker 1: fulfill my father's legacy because I felt like his life
- 37:09Speaker 1: is cut short and they ain't get to hear him.
- 37:11Speaker 1: And so you know, through me doing what I do,
- 37:13Speaker 1: it's just like it's just a represent.
- 37:14Speaker 2: That's super dope. Or you should at least like I
- 37:17Speaker 2: feel like you did a mixtape or something. You gotta
- 37:20Speaker 2: pay how much somehow on the art or is this
- 37:21Speaker 2: something I mean just like like like his like that
- 37:25Speaker 2: album cover in my it's so funny because like that
- 37:27Speaker 2: album cover sticks out of my head.
- 37:29Speaker 3: And it's crazy.
- 37:30Speaker 2: I remember back in the day, I used to buy
- 37:32Speaker 2: albums based on what the source magazine and ad look like. Yeah,
- 37:35Speaker 2: and I remember your dad had the full size the
- 37:38Speaker 2: that's crazy.
- 37:39Speaker 1: No, I just told my mom I want to redo
- 37:42Speaker 1: the strictly for the streets.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Uh cover art keeping a real one.
- 37:46Speaker 1: He's actually if you go look at Best of Both World,
- 37:48Speaker 1: if you like look by my head, his face is
- 37:50Speaker 1: in there.
- 37:50Speaker 3: It's just like in like the Stars.
- 37:51Speaker 2: That's super dope. Yeah, for sure, that's super far. So
- 37:55Speaker 2: your album is out now was a mixed tape people
- 37:58Speaker 2: EP EP A lot of albums, a lot of songs
- 38:00Speaker 2: for EP.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Yeah, a couple now. A lot of them were pre
- 38:03Speaker 3: out previously, Like.
- 38:05Speaker 2: You got a little Wayne on there, you got Anie
- 38:07Speaker 2: Choppa Deluxe on the.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Way, YEP Deluxe were crazy too rare.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Try to get you to dance.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Yeah, he tried to teach me if I don't do
- 38:14Speaker 3: dancing too much?
- 38:15Speaker 2: Too rare. Fucking this guy, man, this guy's so underrated
- 38:19Speaker 2: when it comes to influencing what these kids be doing.
- 38:21Speaker 1: This guy he just dropped that vegetable song. I got
- 38:24Speaker 1: like twenty million views in like a month.
- 38:27Speaker 2: I don't open TikTok.
- 38:30Speaker 3: No, no, it's not on TikTok. It's the craziest thing.
- 38:33Speaker 3: I haven't heard it me either, But are my little brothers.
- 38:37Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. Whatever whatever bubble that those types
- 38:41Speaker 2: of songs existed, you.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Yeah, that's facts. But I think it's so smart because
- 38:46Speaker 1: a lot of artists wouldn't even do anything like that.
- 38:48Speaker 1: But I'm thinking it changed my perspective. It's like, but
- 38:51Speaker 1: I could do a song like this, these kids go
- 38:53Speaker 1: stream at twenty million times, nobody in my fan base
- 38:55Speaker 1: gonna listen to it for real.
- 38:56Speaker 2: But that's still it's crazy because like TikTok and people forget,
- 38:59Speaker 2: like there's some artist who fee like they're too good
- 39:00Speaker 2: for TikTok or it's corny. It's like, yo, it's the
- 39:02Speaker 2: number one music discovery app in the world.
- 39:04Speaker 3: I love TikTok. The only thing the only down five
- 39:06Speaker 3: is on downside.
- 39:07Speaker 1: I don't like that it could kill your songs so quick,
- 39:09Speaker 1: Like if your song go viral TikTok, you probably got
- 39:12Speaker 1: like a month like to like really basket that glory
- 39:16Speaker 1: for people, Like Okay, I'm over.
- 39:17Speaker 2: It and then they go to the next you know
- 39:19Speaker 2: what I'm.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Saying, Like, that's why I would hate that, like have
- 39:21Speaker 1: a TikTok hit if I'm not like an established artist,
- 39:23Speaker 1: because so many songs I'm listening to, I'm.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Like, bro, that's his song?
- 39:27Speaker 2: Happened to that guy?
- 39:28Speaker 3: Yeah? Literally, you know what I'm saying.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Trust me, it happens all the time. I see like
- 39:31Speaker 2: people all the time will catch like a little TikTok
- 39:34Speaker 2: wave and then they'll get signed to a shitty single
- 39:36Speaker 2: deal and then as soon as the wave is over,
- 39:38Speaker 2: it's like, yeah, next, but like you said, you gotta
- 39:41Speaker 2: build a cattle or you build your family.
- 39:42Speaker 3: Yeah, and then like you know it all have come
- 39:44Speaker 3: back around.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Damn. That's crazy. Well listen, I appreciate you pulling up.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Thank you for when when school start back up next month?
- 39:50Speaker 2: August twenty fifth, She got a month left.
- 39:53Speaker 3: I'm so excited.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Are you going on a vacation or n?
- 39:55Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 39:55Speaker 1: Me and my team about to go to Croatia on
- 39:57Speaker 1: like a ten day trip Croatia.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Yeah, what's there?
- 40:01Speaker 1: I don't know that's where unless you wanted to go
- 40:03Speaker 1: this year. It's like a study abroad trip.
- 40:05Speaker 2: That didn't sound like a vacation. That sounds like Croatia.
