- 1:05Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So Voices for Voices TV show and podcast, how's that sound?
- 1:14Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Voices, sharing, expressing, communicating, sharing, expressing, communicating, sharing, expressing, communicating, sharing, expressing, communicating.
- 1:34Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: That's what a voice is.
- 1:38Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: We all have it, and we'll go back, maybe a little bit, to the roots of this organization and why it is imperative.
- 1:53Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Like the Tom Petty song, don't back down, don't back down, don't back down, don't back down, don't back down.
- 2:27Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: The United States Constitution, freedom of speech, free to express our voice, free to express, no matter what side of the aisle, politically here in the United States or anywhere across the world, it doesn't matter.
- 2:40Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: But here in the United States, we do have a thing called the United States Constitution and there is something called freedom of speech.
- 2:54Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: We're all, we're all able to exercise that as US citizens.
- 3:07Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You have opinions, you have thoughts, you have ideas.
- 3:18Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So do we, so do I?
- 3:24Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So is Voices for Voices.
- 3:29Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So to think, to have an inkling that we'll stop sharing, talking, expressing our opinion, expressing what we believe, sharing information, sharing stories.
- 4:04Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So don't think for one millisecond that Voices for Voices will back down, will stop using our voice, stop inspiring you, you, others, past, present, future.
- 4:49Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You know we all have ways, maybe some structure, maybe some structure, maybe some processes that make us feel comfortable, make things maybe a little bit easier, a little bit less stressful.
- 5:23Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: One of those, for me, for Voices for Voices, is sharing our voice, talking, sharing, expressing.
- 5:45Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So, yes, yes to all you, voices for Voices, followers, donors, sponsors, subscribers and all other people, whether you know Voices for Voices, whether you don't, whether you believe what we believe and you want to tune in for this episode and not for another Baby that is called free speech.
- 6:47Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You have the ability to do that.
- 6:50Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You have the ability to change, change shows, change episode number, to watch, to listen, to do none to neither, to some.
- 7:08Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So that's your right.
- 7:35Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: But don't you, don't you dare think for a half of a millisecond, a tenth of a millisecond.
- 7:40Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: It because of whatever.
- 7:45Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: We don't read minds, we don't have crystal balls, we're here one moment, we're gone the other, but don't for a second, a millisecond, think that somebody with mental illness like myself.
- 8:19Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I've spoken and I've spoken and I've shared and I've shared and I will continue to share my experience, our guest's experience Trauma we have all gone through trauma.
- 8:45Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: We have all gone through trauma.
- 8:46Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Small, big, medium, large, minor, major, whatever you want to call it.
- 8:55Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: We've all been through some event, some moment in time, where we look back and go, wow, I didn't realize that bothered me.
- 9:14Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So we go into whatever topic we want to go into.
- 9:32Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So you don't control, you don't control, you do not control.
- 9:36Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You do not control Voices for Voices.
- 9:39Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You do not control our board of directors.
- 9:43Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You do not control Justin board of directors.
- 9:45Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You do not control justin allen hayes, you do not control anybody.
- 9:55Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: And so, because of whatever reason or thought goes through your mind or thought goes through your mind that by that very fact that we'll be silenced, that we won't be voices, that we'll be voiceless, that we won't be voiceless, that we won't have a career, we'll give all our money to you.
- 10:34Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: No, no, see that it doesn't quite work like that.
- 10:45Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: But making words and putting words and concepts together, that we're protected, I'm protected, voices for Voices is protected, all our guests are protected.
- 11:15Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: And that freedom of speech Because you don't like what you heard or what you saw, so what?
- 11:31Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So what?
- 11:36Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Like Metallica, like Bob Seger, turn that page.
- 11:47Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Because anybody who's seen any type of entertainment, any type of movie, heard any type of song, participated in any type of sporting event, participated in any type of sporting event and, as we have mentioned, nobody's perfect.
- 12:16Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You're not perfect and you don't get the right to control us, and that's really something that is very powerful and yet Not understandable.
- 12:55Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: And so, yeah, this episode, as we have in all of our episodes, we share information, we share opinions, and it's up to you, it's up to others, it's up to individuals.
- 13:19Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Everybody can make that decision.
- 13:22Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: They can take it.
- 13:25Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: They can take conversations that we have here, conversations that we have here.
- 13:32Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I can take a conversation between our opinions mental health, trauma from me or another guest topics, big and small.
- 13:48Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You can take it or leave it.
- 13:51Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Anybody that's ever known what a television is.
- 13:55Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Is there just one channel On the radio dial, is there just one?
- 14:12Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: One station For phones Is there only one option?
- 14:22Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: One option.
- 14:24Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I think Apple and Google, samsung, so many choices would pretty much tell you that there's not just one option.
- 14:49Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Somebody in your family or somebody that's helping you goes to the grocery store, says, hey, pick, pick me out a dozen donuts.
- 15:09Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Is there only one?
- 15:14Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Only one kind of donut.
- 15:16Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: A dozen donuts, is there only one?
- 15:18Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Only one kind of donut.
- 15:18Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Go to that grocery store.
- 15:23Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I've yet to see a grocery store donut shop have just one.
- 15:28Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Maybe there are, there could be, but when you look at the world, get that world view, there's not just one kind of donut.
- 15:41Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Now maybe I decide that out of all the varieties of the available varieties, I may decide that I want a dozen of the same.
- 15:58Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I may decide that, and guess what?
- 16:05Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: That's a decision.
- 16:07Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: That's a freedom of speech there.
- 16:10Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: That's a decision.
- 16:12Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: That's a freedom of speech there that I get to decide the dozen of donuts.
- 16:21Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: If I go to grocery store one and I don't like the option options, I have the free speech and the free ability to go to another grocery store, another donut shop, and if yet still I don't bind what I'm looking for, I can go to a third.
- 16:56Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So our Voices for Voices TV show and podcast.
- 16:59Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: It's not the only one out there.
- 17:02Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: There's not just one option, there's not just two options, there's not just three or four or five options, there's dozens and dozens and probably even thousands of choices.
- 17:26Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So if you don't like what you see, you don't like what you see, you don't like what you hear, turn that dial.
- 17:35Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: That's your choice and it's our choice.
- 17:47Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: What we want to share, what we want to talk about, and, yes, even what we want to share, what we want to talk about, and, yes, even we are able to bring Information, which we do From time to time.
- 18:08Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: We do, we bring information, we bring, we do, we bring information, we bring a screenshot.
- 18:15Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: We might have an audio recording for an episode or a part of an episode, and you may not like what is being shown.
- 18:31Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: And you may not like what is being shown, like maybe you in a picture of you and another person that you say you don't know.
- 18:46Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Okay, you're right to say I don't know this person.
- 19:04Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: It's also our right to have a counterpoint and have that freedom of speech to maybe show oh, hmm, wait a minute, I see a picture, maybe one, maybe 10, maybe 100.
- 19:25Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: And the person is right next to, and their arms around, that other person that they don't know.
- 19:40Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: There's no hands up like this, like paparazzi, or get out of my face, I don't know this person.
- 19:48Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Don't take this picture.
- 19:50Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: No, there's none of that.
- 19:54Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Again, that's your choice.
- 19:57Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: If the picture's there, what do we do?
- 20:04Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Maybe we show it, and then what?
- 20:11Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: And then we let the people decide, the people of this great nation, the United States of America, and people all across the world decide.
- 20:33Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I get to formulate an opinion, a thought on that.
- 20:39Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So from time to time, there may be information that's shared, that you might not like, that you may wish was not being shown or shared, or communicated, or communicated.
- 21:10Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: And I tell you, it's the freedom of speech.
- 21:20Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Again, we're not the only show in town or in our city, in our state, our province, our nation, our province, our nation, our hemisphere.
- 21:30Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: We're not, and we know that.
- 21:33Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: We have lots of analytics that show that.
- 21:41Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So turn the dial, go somewhere else.
- 21:46Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: And if something bothers you, so be it.
- 21:56Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: There's a lot of things that bother me and have bothered me and are probably going to bother me tomorrow and the next day and next month.
- 22:09Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: There's going to be something else that's going to bother me tomorrow and the next day and next month there's going to be something else that's going to bother me.
- 22:15Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: But I do not have that right to tell somebody you're not allowed to exercise your freedom of speech.
- 22:30Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I am, but you're not.
- 22:31Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: No, no, no, it doesn't work like that.
- 22:36Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You don't get to have free reign and silence.
- 22:44Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Attempt to silence, to continue to silence.
- 22:48Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Attempt to silence, to continue to silence Individuals voices, maybe.
- 23:05Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Individuals communicate through sign language.
- 23:06Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: That's their freedom of speech.
- 23:07Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: They're allowed to do that.
- 23:12Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Again, when you turn on Netflix, when you turn on Amazon, hulu, roku, whatever I think I said those correctly Disney Plus, youtube, tv Spectrum, at&t, directv, and these are not plugs for these, the ones I'm renaming, just showing there's options.
- 23:41Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: And you know what I do when something bothers me and I'm might not agree with a new story or what is being talked about on the show, I turn that dial, I change that channel.
- 24:08Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I change that movie.
- 24:09Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I change that channel.
- 24:09Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I change that movie.
- 24:10Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I change that show.
- 24:11Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I change that song.
- 24:14Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I change that Netflix series, that Netflix documentary.
- 24:23Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I go outside for a walk.
- 24:27Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I get something to eat, take a drink of water.
- 24:34Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I take a deep breath.
- 24:41Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: What do all those things have in common?
- 24:45Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Freedom of speech.
- 24:47Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You got it and I got it, and Voices for Voices has it, and our guests have it, and other shows and other news outlets got it, have it too.
- 25:08Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So you see something you don't like.
- 25:13Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Maybe think about that for the next time.
- 25:17Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Next time you're in an experience, in a position, think about that in a position.
- 25:32Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Think about that.
- 25:38Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You don't continue on a conversation, on a communication, that it might be recorded, and you say I got a question, is this being recorded?
- 26:00Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: And the other person says oh yeah, it's being recorded.
- 26:05Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You have a decision to make.
- 26:10Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You can continue that conversation.
- 26:14Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You can say I do not consent to this, I can.
- 26:18Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: If it's a phone conversation or a video call, I can press that end button, I can hang up.
- 26:32Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: But if you continue to talk and spout off and say something or some things, you continue to stay on that communication, wherever that is.
- 26:54Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: However, that is Phone, in person, video call, whichever.
- 27:03Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Whatever way that is, you stay on that.
- 27:06Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: That's your freedom of speech.
- 27:28Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Yes, sir, yes, you don't get the.
- 27:29Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You don't.
- 27:33Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You're not God.
- 27:34Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You don't get that.
- 27:35Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You don't got.
- 27:37Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You don't have, god, that power to then say oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, hold on Months later and say I didn't consent to it.
- 27:56Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Okay, how long was the call?
- 27:58Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Oh, I think like maybe an hour.
- 28:02Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Okay, did you ask if it was recorded and what that brought up?
- 28:07Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Yeah, I did actually.
- 28:08Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: When did you ask if it was recorded and was that brought up?
- 28:09Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Yeah, I did actually.
- 28:10Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: When did you ask?
- 28:12Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: After 15 minutes or so?
- 28:14Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: And what was the answer?
- 28:17Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Oh, yeah, they said this was being recorded.
- 28:23Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: And then what did you do?
- 28:27Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, conversation lasts about an hour, gordon.
- 28:33Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: And then what did you do?
- 28:33Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, you know, conversation lasts about an hour.
- 28:35Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So we, we talked to about an hour and you knew it was going to be.
- 28:40Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You knew it was recorded at that point.
- 28:41Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, yeah, I had asked and they said that it was.
- 28:48Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: And you didn't hang up and you didn't say I do not consent to this.
- 28:55Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: And you continue to talk, talk, talk.
- 29:01Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Your freedom of speech.
- 29:04Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So your freedom of speech.
- 29:12Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So we have the freedom of speech that when Somebody does never gives the do not, I don't consent for talking further, that the phone doesn hang up, that the video call doesn't end when that doesn't happen, and they talk and talk and talk.
- 29:37Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: I just realized, you know, got to get them teeth better.
- 29:43Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: So yeah, freedom of speech, united States of America Constitution.
- 29:54Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: You have the right to free speech, so do we.
- 29:55Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: We'll see you next time.
- 29:57Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you for joining us on this episode of the Voices for Voices TV show and podcast.
- 30:04Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: Please be a voice for you or somebody in need.
- 30:08Voices for Voices Founder, Justin Alan Hayes: We'll see you next time.
