- 0:05Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the right time. My name
- 0:09Speaker 1: is Balmati Jones. Thanks for listening wherever you get your podcast.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Thanks for watching us on YouTube. Subscribe, like, rate us,
- 0:14Speaker 1: review us, give us five stars. You only give us
- 0:16Speaker 1: four stars. I'm inclined to believe you are a hater. Oh, man,
- 0:21Speaker 1: we got a lot going on here. We're going to
- 0:22Speaker 1: get to the NCAA or the NBA, giving the Clippers
- 0:26Speaker 1: the death penalty.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Hard to tell which is which these days. A few
- 0:29Speaker 2: other stories. First, Saturday night. Ryan, I'm not going to
- 0:34Speaker 2: lie to you, man. I ain't watched this shit. It
- 0:37Speaker 2: was a two hour East coast rain delay.
- 0:39Speaker 3: I don't believe it.
- 0:40Speaker 1: It was LSU and Clemson. And look, I generally like
- 0:44Speaker 1: I go places. I don't really talk about it, but
- 0:45Speaker 1: you can see it all in my face. You understand
- 0:47Speaker 1: what I'm saying? You can tell I've been, I've been
- 0:50Speaker 1: amongst the world, right?
- 0:51Speaker 2: I was out of here for 16 days.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I took an 11 hour flight back on Friday and
- 0:59Speaker 1: that seven 30 came.
- 1:00Speaker 2: I was like, Oh, better seven 30 kickoff. That's perfect.
- 1:04Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? Then they said that thing
- 1:06Speaker 1: was delayed till 940. I was like, I don't have
- 1:11Speaker 1: much optimism about where.
- 1:12Speaker 2: This is going to go. I woke up on the couch.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I want to say it was 28 to 3, maybe.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I know it got to 31 to 3. I remember
- 1:20Speaker 1: seeing 31 to 3 with my own eyes. But I
- 1:23Speaker 1: was like, damn, what quarter is it? And I looked
- 1:25Speaker 1: down and it said the second. LSU was beating the
- 1:28Speaker 1: brakes off of Clemson. The breaks off of that. I
- 1:33Speaker 1: saw that Clemson was unranked. Ryan, I'm also going to
- 1:36Speaker 1: be honest with you. In this new day and age,
- 1:39Speaker 1: I don't spend no time doing no preseason analysis and
- 1:43Speaker 1: no college football team no more.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Because why?
- 1:46Speaker 3: Why?
- 1:46Speaker 1: Nobody knows who, nobody knows what anything is going to be.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Nobody knows who anything is. I'm showing up. I'm going
- 1:51Speaker 1: to be just as surprised as everybody else. But I
- 1:54Speaker 1: was like, Clemson is unranked.
- 1:56Speaker 2: That seems... a bit unfamiliar.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Um, LSU is right, but I did see earlier in
- 2:02Speaker 1: the day where Boise state almost got Oregon.
- 2:06Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? Like, so I was like, Oh, okay.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Anything's possible.
- 2:10Speaker 1: And in the end, no matter what anybody wants to
- 2:12Speaker 1: say about college football, I don't know how many years
- 2:14Speaker 1: it'll take Indiana to win a goddamn national championship for
- 2:16Speaker 1: anybody want to watch them play.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Right?
- 2:18Speaker 1: Like it's a, it's, it's, it takes like Clemson. It
- 2:21Speaker 1: took a while for them to get there, but they
- 2:22Speaker 1: got there.
- 2:23Speaker 2: It's a brand thing. That's how it goes. LSU Clemson.
- 2:26Speaker 2: That sounds like my type of party.
- 2:28Speaker 1: And God, it's going to be so difficult. So for
- 2:31Speaker 1: those of you who don't know, Ryan is from Lafayette, Louisiana.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Ryan is an LSU grad. And so now Ryan's coach
- 2:42Speaker 1: is fucking lame. Like, like this is, this is, I'm
- 2:46Speaker 1: just going to watch every week as the way we
- 2:48Speaker 1: used to talk about Lane shifts into the way that
- 2:51Speaker 1: I talk about Lane. And your glass half full ass
- 2:54Speaker 1: trying to figure out these other ways that we deal
- 2:56Speaker 1: with Lane that don't involve Lane just being Lane.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Look, I understand. I'm not going to say I don't
- 3:05Speaker 3: understand the frustration. I just... I can't say I agree
- 3:09Speaker 3: for certain reasons.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I just, I never thought like, what's it like when
- 3:17Speaker 1: that guy shows up and he coaches your team. And
- 3:20Speaker 1: then after he does that, because he's laid players start
- 3:24Speaker 1: showing up.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Some of whom have been in NFL training camps.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I get all this and it's, and it's just all
- 3:30Speaker 1: lane and vanity fair brand.
- 3:32Speaker 2: The excerpt from the book was in John Talty or Talty.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I don't know how you say it, But anyway, he
- 3:37Speaker 1: got a book with a quote with somebody saying that
- 3:39Speaker 1: Nick Saban wore. The thing about Lane is you just
- 3:42Speaker 1: got to keep him off the girls on campus. This
- 3:46Speaker 1: drops right before the game.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Right.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Like the week of the game. It is clear this
- 3:52Speaker 2: year is going to be about Lane.
- 3:54Speaker 1: And if it's not going to be about him this year,
- 3:58Speaker 1: this month will be about him the same way September
- 4:03Speaker 1: of 2023 is.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Was about Deion Sanders, right? And why? This is where
- 4:09Speaker 2: it gets a little bit different.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Deion was kind of working this out on the basis
- 4:13Speaker 1: of it was a bit of a boring season.
- 4:15Speaker 2: They were playing them Friday night games, right? Next week,
- 4:19Speaker 2: they play Louisiana Tech. But that's not going to matter.
- 4:23Speaker 1: And college football will be all about Ohio State, Texas, right?
- 4:28Speaker 1: After that, it's the game going back to Ole Miss.
- 4:31Speaker 2: That's the next week.
- 4:32Speaker 1: And then the week after that, home for Texas A & M.
- 4:37Speaker 1: That's going to be this Clemson game. LSU-Clemson, that's the
- 4:41Speaker 1: game of the week, right? Ole Miss-LSU, obviously. That might
- 4:46Speaker 1: be the game of the year in terms of pregame hype.
- 4:50Speaker 2: A & M- LSU, that's going to be the game of
- 4:53Speaker 2: that week, though.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Somewhere, somehow, A & M is going to have to find.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Those four or five losses. So they might start early.
- 5:03Speaker 2: You never know. It's going to happen. They're going to
- 5:06Speaker 2: be there.
- 5:07Speaker 1: That eight wins, somehow, someway, that's where it winds up.
- 5:14Speaker 1: But Lane's going to be it, and I'm going to
- 5:17Speaker 1: hate this because he's such a jerk. Here's my problem
- 5:20Speaker 1: with him being a jerk, okay? This is my issue
- 5:23Speaker 1: with it. If you're going to do it, do it.
- 5:26Speaker 1: He doesn't lean into it. He dabbles in it. He
- 5:30Speaker 1: does his trolling and then comes on the, I just
- 5:33Speaker 1: don't understand why people don't like me. You know goddamn
- 5:36Speaker 1: well why people don't like you, right? Like, here's what
- 5:39Speaker 1: he creates, right? It is very difficult in this world.
- 5:43Speaker 1: And this is, Ryan, you tell me if I'm wrong,
- 5:46Speaker 1: but I don't think I am, okay?
- 5:50Speaker 2: What happens when a word.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Is both a classification and an insult, right? Where you
- 5:59Speaker 1: can call somebody something and it simply be a statement
- 6:02Speaker 1: of fact and you're not saying it to be mean,
- 6:05Speaker 1: but that's the technical definition of a thing or a
- 6:09Speaker 1: person like that, okay? I bet you know what word
- 6:12Speaker 1: I'm thinking of right now.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Troll.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Asshole. I mean, asshole, all right?
- 6:20Speaker 1: Some people are just assholes, right? But they can be
- 6:25Speaker 1: your friend to be an asshole. Have I ever been
- 6:28Speaker 1: the asshole friend? Much of the 20th century.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Yes, I was.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I felt like I worked on it down the line.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I'm just telling you, I understand this, right? He's an asshole,
- 6:38Speaker 1: but he's my friend. And then there's some people, when
- 6:41Speaker 1: you call him an asshole, it comes from here. It
- 6:43Speaker 1: comes from your chest, right? It comes from your gut.
- 6:46Speaker 1: It is not coming from the nasal palate. It is
- 6:48Speaker 1: coming from your heart. You're saying that shit like you're Tupac, right?
- 6:53Speaker 1: Both of these are the case with Lane.
- 6:56Speaker 2: He's an asshole. But that's just, that's what you call somebody.
- 7:00Speaker 1: That's what those things are called.
- 7:03Speaker 2: That's just what it's called.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Like on my vacation, I was riding a horse and
- 7:12Speaker 1: it was a horse in front of me. And that
- 7:15Speaker 1: horse began to defecate. I mean, just a big asshole
- 7:23Speaker 1: just right there. And all it was missing was a
- 7:26Speaker 1: purple and gold visor.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Now, I know.
- 7:30Speaker 1: That if somebody came on and said, hey, nobody, they
- 7:34Speaker 1: call you this.
- 7:35Speaker 2: They call you an asshole.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I'd be like, yeah, it's going to go either way.
- 7:38Speaker 1: If Lane finds out that I called him an asshole,
- 7:41Speaker 1: he's going to be offended.
- 7:42Speaker 2: And that's what my problem is. You know what you are.
- 7:48Speaker 2: You know what it is. Right.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Are you saying slightly leaning in? to the mic as
- 7:54Speaker 3: you pretend that they can't hear you as you clearly
- 7:57Speaker 3: talking in the mic as you get in your slides
- 7:59Speaker 3: like I guess I wonder if they can't hear me
- 8:01Speaker 3: yes you saying that's.
- 8:02Speaker 1: That's that's that's his whole that that's the part that
- 8:04Speaker 1: I don't like right that's the part that I don't
- 8:06Speaker 1: like but now he jazzing up these expectations because they
- 8:09Speaker 1: won the game 51 to 10 like the that sounded
- 8:17Speaker 1: like what is the most dominant game that I think
- 8:21Speaker 1: I have recalled seeing a team play in September, and
- 8:24Speaker 1: it was also LSU, and it was also at that stadium.
- 8:28Speaker 1: And it was also in 2007 against Virginia Tech where
- 8:31Speaker 1: it looked like LSU had 13 dudes on the field
- 8:34Speaker 1: on defense. It looked like dudes were jumping up off
- 8:37Speaker 1: the ground. They had white boys making interceptions. White boys
- 8:40Speaker 1: with long hair looking like interviewing a vampire.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Making interceptions and taking that shit back the other way.
- 8:46Speaker 2: That was a wild.
- 8:48Speaker 1: It was the first of two straight years of Virginia
- 8:50Speaker 1: Tech burned Tyron Taylor's red shirt.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Because otherwise, oh baby, this shit just ain't gonna work.
- 8:55Speaker 2: We're gonna have problems if we don't do this. They
- 8:58Speaker 2: did that.
- 8:59Speaker 1: And I don't know how much that has to do
- 9:02Speaker 1: with LSU from the little bit of that game that
- 9:05Speaker 1: I watched because Clemson clearly has a problem. And their
- 9:09Speaker 1: problem cannot be solved by the coach that they have.
- 9:13Speaker 1: And everybody there needs to be honest with themselves about
- 9:16Speaker 1: this fact. And the fact that I believe that this
- 9:18Speaker 1: cannot be solved by the coach that they have is actually,
- 9:22Speaker 1: for me, a compliment to this coach, Dabo Swinney, that
- 9:26Speaker 1: I have long been very critical of and have now
- 9:29Speaker 1: come to like a little bit because if nothing else,
- 9:32Speaker 1: what Dabo has shown me is he believes the stuff
- 9:35Speaker 1: he says.
- 9:36Speaker 3: I think believer is a great word to describe Dabo.
- 9:40Speaker 2: It is, yes, yes.
- 9:41Speaker 1: There is the old high believer situation with him, right?
- 9:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:46Speaker 1: But the truth is, when it comes to the NCAA
- 9:49Speaker 1: and all of those things, he is a true believer
- 9:53Speaker 1: in the power of college sports to transform lives under,
- 9:58Speaker 1: even if it's under the monarchy.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Of amateurism, right?
- 10:01Speaker 1: The thing I say about Dabo all the time, that
- 10:04Speaker 1: man was so poor when he got to college that
- 10:07Speaker 1: him and his mama shared a bed together.
- 10:10Speaker 2: He walked on to the football team.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I saw something in the wiki I was checking out
- 10:14Speaker 1: here that he had to like take out a Discover
- 10:17Speaker 1: card to pay off the rest of whatever it would
- 10:20Speaker 1: have taken for him to get into school and then
- 10:22Speaker 1: pay the rent.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Like he he did this right. He figured it out.
- 10:26Speaker 2: He made it. He got to the other side of it.
- 10:29Speaker 2: And he truly believes like, how are you going to
- 10:30Speaker 2: tell that man America ain't great?
- 10:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Right.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Like I was up here all the time. He wanted
- 10:34Speaker 1: white people. You're going to try to explain to him
- 10:36Speaker 1: why we deserve reparations. He's like, why do you think
- 10:39Speaker 1: life is so easy for white people?
- 10:42Speaker 2: Right. And I'm like, hey, when you put it like that,
- 10:45Speaker 2: I understand. I understand it all. Right.
- 10:47Speaker 1: And so Dabo had that line a bunch of years
- 10:50Speaker 1: ago where he said, if this turns into pro football,
- 10:52Speaker 1: then I don't want to do it.
- 10:54Speaker 2: And his argument, what he said, I thought was interesting.
- 10:57Speaker 1: In retrospect, he was like, I didn't say I had
- 10:59Speaker 1: a problem with the players getting paid. I truly don't
- 11:02Speaker 1: think that any actual coach has a real problem with
- 11:04Speaker 1: the players getting paid because they go into those houses.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Right.
- 11:08Speaker 2: They go see these people that they have.
- 11:10Speaker 3: They know where they're getting these players from and what
- 11:12Speaker 3: their lives are like and have for the last 30 years.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Honestly, if any guy in that position that doesn't want
- 11:16Speaker 1: those players to get paid is cruel and a bad person, right,
- 11:20Speaker 1: given the circumstances that they've seen. So anyway, I don't
- 11:23Speaker 1: think that Dabo had a problem getting paid. But what
- 11:25Speaker 1: he said was, if this starts feeling like I'm coaching
- 11:28Speaker 1: in professional football.
- 11:30Speaker 2: then that's not what I came here to do.
- 11:32Speaker 1: He clearly wants, with the spirit of Jesus Christ, to
- 11:35Speaker 1: raise better men and to win games.
- 11:38Speaker 2: He has clearly made decisions in terms.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Of how they recruit and structure a program with a
- 11:43Speaker 1: great emphasis toward their own players, staying away from transfers,
- 11:46Speaker 1: all of those things. There's a way in which he
- 11:49Speaker 1: wants to do this that is very idealistic, right? And
- 11:55Speaker 1: I think there's a certain irony to the fact that
- 11:58Speaker 1: the same week that people were piling on Lane Kiffin
- 12:00Speaker 1: for his willingness to bring in guys who were in
- 12:04Speaker 1: NFL training camps last week, with the same fervor, we
- 12:08Speaker 1: will attack Dabo Swinney for not wanting to play the
- 12:11Speaker 1: transfer portal game in any of those things, right? But
- 12:15Speaker 1: the bottom line is those attacks on Dabo are fair.
- 12:19Speaker 1: And the reason that they're fair is this. This reminds
- 12:22Speaker 1: me of the end of the aughts when things weren't
- 12:26Speaker 1: going so great for Maryland basketball with Gary Williams. And
- 12:30Speaker 1: as somebody who covered recruiting at the time told me,
- 12:34Speaker 1: are you the.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Veracity of this statement? I'm just telling you what he said.
- 12:37Speaker 1: He was like, look, guys, everybody's cheating except Tom Izzo,
- 12:43Speaker 1: Roy Williams, and Gary Williams. Now, obviously, North Carolina had
- 12:47Speaker 1: a unique situation. that it had going on there, right?
- 12:51Speaker 1: But that was the line, right? I say all that
- 12:53Speaker 1: to say, Gary's the one that nobody thought was cheating.
- 12:58Speaker 2: And Gary was the guy that was absolutely, I get.
- 13:01Speaker 1: My kinds of guys, I recruit my kinds of guys, right?
- 13:04Speaker 1: But while that was going on, you got Kevin Durant
- 13:08Speaker 1: in PG County, same county as the University of Maryland,
- 13:12Speaker 1: and Gary's now recruiting him. You get Ty Lawson, same,
- 13:16Speaker 1: you know, same thing. Gary doesn't recruit him, but the
- 13:18Speaker 1: year Gary doesn't recruit Ty Lawson, he does recruit Gravis Vasquez,
- 13:22Speaker 1: who is his guy and is a conference player of
- 13:24Speaker 1: the year, so forth and so on, right? But the
- 13:26Speaker 1: bottom line was, Maryland had reached the point of winning
- 13:30Speaker 1: national championships. And now they were not getting the caliber
- 13:33Speaker 1: of players that was necessary to even truly compete in
- 13:37Speaker 1: the ACC. And it's because Gary didn't want to do
- 13:40Speaker 1: it that way. And so Gary would come into all
- 13:43Speaker 1: those press availabilities. Well, you know, we won a lot
- 13:45Speaker 1: of games around here. Hey, you know, we won a
- 13:47Speaker 1: championship here, but hey, man, you can't do it like
- 13:49Speaker 1: that anymore. And so I commend you for trying.
- 13:52Speaker 2: To do it what you believe to be the right way.
- 13:54Speaker 1: But if you can't do it the right way and win, well,
- 14:00Speaker 1: we don't hire you to do it the right way.
- 14:02Speaker 2: We hire you to win.
- 14:05Speaker 3: It's really interesting. He said after the game that they
- 14:07Speaker 3: didn't have a player's problem. They had a football problem,
- 14:09Speaker 3: and he doesn't understand that those are the same thing.
- 14:11Speaker 1: There we go, right? He wants to do it that way.
- 14:16Speaker 1: And if you can do it that way and win,
- 14:19Speaker 1: bless you. If you can do it that way and
- 14:20Speaker 1: get Trevor Lawrence, right?
- 14:22Speaker 2: You can do it that way and have Deshaun White. Hell,
- 14:24Speaker 2: you have Todd Boyd, right?
- 14:26Speaker 1: Like, if you can do it that way and get
- 14:28Speaker 1: those guys, cool. Go ahead and do that. But the
- 14:33Speaker 1: bottom line with Dabo Swinney, for any of us who
- 14:35Speaker 1: remember what it was like when he first got there,
- 14:37Speaker 1: that man ain't no goddamn football genius. Remember when they
- 14:40Speaker 1: gave up 70 in the Orange Bowl that time? Like,
- 14:43Speaker 1: Dabo turning this into what it turned into is one
- 14:46Speaker 1: of the great shocks. The job that he did at
- 14:49Speaker 1: Clemson is one of the great jobs.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Of all time.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Went toe-to-toe with Nick Saban for four years. Yes. And
- 14:54Speaker 3: won twice.
- 14:55Speaker 2: And was their equal.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Hold on.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Won twice, and the two they lost were like by
- 14:59Speaker 2: this much.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Right.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Or I think it's the one. But either way, it
- 15:03Speaker 2: was he.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Did that, man.
- 15:05Speaker 5: Right?
- 15:06Speaker 2: But that shit don't work no more.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Like it's an entirely different game in terms of what
- 15:10Speaker 1: it is that you have to do. And so if
- 15:13Speaker 1: Clemson is satisfied going seven and six, eight and five,
- 15:17Speaker 1: whatever it is, they keep Dabo around forever.
- 15:21Speaker 2: But they're not going to do that.
- 15:23Speaker 1: They've never, even when they were an eight win school,
- 15:26Speaker 1: they wasn't cool with it. They don't want that. And
- 15:29Speaker 1: so for Dabo, to me, you got to look around.
- 15:32Speaker 1: There's a reason Coach K quit. Roy Williams quit.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Jay Wright quit. Nick Saban quit.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I feel like there's some other guys, I guess off
- 15:38Speaker 1: the top of my head, we could go through that
- 15:40Speaker 1: I just don't have for you right now.
- 15:41Speaker 2: But there's a reason why these guys quit.
- 15:43Speaker 1: They did not want to play the game as the
- 15:45Speaker 1: game is to be played.
- 15:47Speaker 2: The thing is, Dabo's younger than those dudes. He's older
- 15:51Speaker 2: than he looks. He's 56.
- 15:53Speaker 1: But he's younger than these guys. He still wants to
- 15:56Speaker 1: do it. But the whole paradigm shifted directly in front
- 16:01Speaker 1: of you. And to me, it's not about the money.
- 16:04Speaker 1: It's once you could transfer without cost. Once you could
- 16:07Speaker 1: just transfer, now this turned into something completely different, and
- 16:11Speaker 1: everybody else is going out every year and making their
- 16:13Speaker 1: team better, and Dabble's trying to make their team better
- 16:16Speaker 1: at practice.
- 16:18Speaker 2: And it's not going to work. It's not going to happen, right?
- 16:22Speaker 1: Meanwhile, the guy that coached the other team, shit, like
- 16:29Speaker 1: I said, he's trying to get into it. Are the
- 16:31Speaker 1: NFL boys going to be playing? I mean, they're not
- 16:33Speaker 1: NFL players, obviously, but they're going to be.
- 16:35Speaker 3: They're not on the roster. Currently.
- 16:36Speaker 2: But they're on the yard, right?
- 16:39Speaker 3: So as I understand it, they're at school but can't
- 16:42Speaker 3: practice because they're not on the roster. But that is
- 16:45Speaker 3: open to changing as the year goes on and the
- 16:48Speaker 3: courts figure this out.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Indiana got some guys back, right? I saw that. They
- 16:53Speaker 1: had a couple dudes. Coaches are going to get the
- 16:55Speaker 1: best players they can. Unless there are legitimate moral reasons
- 17:02Speaker 1: at play. you cannot afford in this game to not
- 17:06Speaker 1: get the best players that you can.
- 17:10Speaker 2: You just can't do it.
- 17:11Speaker 1: And by the way, Dabo was able to win without doing.
- 17:16Speaker 2: That all the way.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Part of that was generational quarterbacks, but he was able to.
- 17:19Speaker 1: It doesn't work anymore, man.
- 17:22Speaker 2: It doesn't.
- 17:22Speaker 1: So you have two choices here. Get fired or quit.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Because I don't think he's going to change.
- 17:29Speaker 2: And by the way, I would.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Respect him more for getting fired or quitting than I
- 17:34Speaker 1: would respect him if he decided to change up how
- 17:36Speaker 1: he did. Right? I told people, the thing I always
- 17:39Speaker 1: remember with him, 2016, when Deion Kane failed that drug
- 17:42Speaker 1: test going into the playoff, and he was suspended for
- 17:46Speaker 1: the semifinal game. That was the only game he was
- 17:48Speaker 1: required to be suspended for, and he still sat him
- 17:51Speaker 1: out for the championship game.
- 17:52Speaker 2: It was 15. He didn't have to do that.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Right? I don't think he should have done it. But
- 17:58Speaker 1: that's what you do when you believe it. Like, hey, man,
- 18:01Speaker 1: if we gonna lose, then we just gonna lose.
- 18:04Speaker 2: I had to respect it. And after so much of
- 18:07Speaker 2: it with him, I have to respect it.
- 18:09Speaker 1: But buddy, either get real or get gone.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Cause those are your two options. Okay. So the quiet
- 18:19Speaker 2: letter thing with the NBA, um, has been resolved.
- 18:23Speaker 1: And I have said from the very beginning that I
- 18:26Speaker 1: didn't think that this was much of anything and that
- 18:29Speaker 1: I did not find it to be particularly interesting that
- 18:31Speaker 1: I did not care.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Um, I still don't really care.
- 18:37Speaker 1: The idea of cap circumvention, I still don't find that
- 18:41Speaker 1: very interesting. Rich people being really stupid? Let me pull
- 18:49Speaker 1: up a chair.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Yeah, seriously.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Now we're in my zone.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Really stupid and very transparently, yes.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Yeah, what's that mean? My buddy pull out that folding chair? Like, oh, okay.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Now I have arrived. I do want to be clear
- 19:02Speaker 2: about something, though.
- 19:03Speaker 1: I am not going to get into the journalism of
- 19:05Speaker 1: it all for a number of reasons. One of them
- 19:08Speaker 1: being that I try to not get into the journalism
- 19:10Speaker 1: of much on this show.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I just don't think it's that place.
- 19:13Speaker 1: The other part is, obviously, I got a history with
- 19:15Speaker 1: the gentleman at the forefront of reporting this, Pablo. There's
- 19:20Speaker 1: a lot going on over there that I am not
- 19:23Speaker 1: the right person to discuss.
- 19:28Speaker 2: But the story itself.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Ryan, I was in Europe when the first thing came
- 19:42Speaker 1: out where ESPN had reported that Ballmer had no evidence
- 19:48Speaker 1: that Ballmer had funneled money and that the penalty was.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Not expected to be that harsh.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Right.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Now, I am very curious as to how much that
- 19:59Speaker 1: story affected the ultimate harshness of the penalty, which is
- 20:04Speaker 1: five first round picks.
- 20:07Speaker 2: And Uncle Dennis can't come back to the NBA no more.
- 20:09Speaker 3: And, you know, $ 30 million.
- 20:10Speaker 1: $ 30 million fine. Steve Ballmer suspended for a year. Lawrence
- 20:14Speaker 1: Frank suspended for six months. A woman that worked in
- 20:16Speaker 1: business being suspended for a year. And I don't know
- 20:19Speaker 1: if you've seen this thing where Draymond Green is like,
- 20:21Speaker 1: you could talk about how $ 30 million to Steve Ballmer
- 20:23Speaker 1: is like $ 20 to you, but it's still $ 30 million.
- 20:26Speaker 1: He is 100% correct about that. $ 30 million ain't that
- 20:30Speaker 1: much money is something that nobody has ever said about
- 20:33Speaker 1: their own $ 30 million.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Correct. right?
- 20:36Speaker 1: Like, it's, no, it's not going to end Steve Ballmer's world. Like,
- 20:40Speaker 1: people think that these punishments are supposed to destroy people. Nah,
- 20:43Speaker 1: it's just not supposed to feel good. Cutting a check
- 20:46Speaker 1: of $ 30 million doesn't feel good.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Look, here's the.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Thing about what they found in this report that jumped
- 20:56Speaker 1: out to me and just had me like, wow, these
- 20:58Speaker 1: rich people are really stupid. Or maybe not even that
- 21:03Speaker 1: these rich people are really stupid. How about, let me
- 21:06Speaker 1: raise it this way. I saw my buddy Ethan Strauss
- 21:09Speaker 1: had brought this up. I know I have talked about
- 21:11Speaker 1: this a little bit in other places. I don't know
- 21:13Speaker 1: how in depth I've gone into it here, but have
- 21:17Speaker 1: you ever read Steve Ballmer's wiki page from his time
- 21:20Speaker 1: at Microsoft?
- 21:21Speaker 3: I know where you're going with this.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Yes.
- 21:24Speaker 3: I've scanned it because you have told me this, but
- 21:26Speaker 3: I feel like we give away what happens.
- 21:29Speaker 2: It's not a success story.
- 21:30Speaker 3: No.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Like everything about his tenure at Microsoft is about late
- 21:35Speaker 1: to this, didn't do this, got this wrong, so forth
- 21:38Speaker 1: and so on. He's really rich because he was there
- 21:41Speaker 1: from the very beginning. I read somewhere that his dividends
- 21:44Speaker 1: make him $ 300 million every quarter. Because he'd been there
- 21:50Speaker 1: for so long. So, like, him being as rich as
- 21:53Speaker 1: he is is not necessarily a function of his brilliance
- 21:56Speaker 1: as a businessman.
- 21:58Speaker 3: And Microsoft started making a lot of this money the
- 22:01Speaker 3: second he stepped down.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Yes, it turned around. the second that he left, right?
- 22:07Speaker 1: Like they were slow to get on the internet. They
- 22:10Speaker 1: didn't get the MP3 player thing right. Like, you know,
- 22:12Speaker 1: the Zoom, like that was during his thing. It's a
- 22:15Speaker 1: whole bunch of this stuff, but it raises the question
- 22:18Speaker 1: about whether or not he's actually that good at.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Being a businessman. And after checking out that report, he
- 22:24Speaker 2: is not.
- 22:25Speaker 1: And the thing that makes me say that he is
- 22:28Speaker 1: not a good businessman is how did you afford.
- 22:32Speaker 2: All this leverage to Dennis?
- 22:34Speaker 3: Right.
- 22:35Speaker 5: Right?
- 22:35Speaker 2: And so, Dennis, a.k.a.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Uncle Dennis, I try not to call him Uncle Dennis
- 22:39Speaker 1: because I feel like he's Kawhi's uncle, but the dude
- 22:42Speaker 1: used to work at Merrill Lynch. Like, he an older
- 22:44Speaker 1: black man with gray hair that he brushed back with.
- 22:47Speaker 2: I'm just telling you, like, he's not.
- 22:49Speaker 1: I don't think the picture that people have in somebody's
- 22:51Speaker 1: mind when they be like, your uncle is handling your
- 22:53Speaker 1: business is in line with who the man is that
- 22:57Speaker 1: we're talking about here.
- 22:59Speaker 3: And clearly, Uncle... Dennis, good at business. Business for Kawhi.
- 23:06Speaker 1: But I also want to note that Uncle Dennis also
- 23:08Speaker 1: behaves exactly in the way that you would presume that
- 23:11Speaker 1: the man that we call Uncle Dennis would behave.
- 23:15Speaker 2: It all goes in together.
- 23:16Speaker 1: The part that jumped out to me is that Ballmer
- 23:20Speaker 1: was getting scammed by the Aspiration Dude. But I feel
- 23:25Speaker 1: like Ballmer was also getting scammed by Dennis. And I
- 23:30Speaker 1: know how he got scammed by Dennis, right? And this is,
- 23:33Speaker 1: I think it's very important to go back and think
- 23:35Speaker 1: about the context of 2019 when Kawhi Leonard signs there.
- 23:39Speaker 1: What happens in 2018? LeBron James signs with the Lakers, okay?
- 23:45Speaker 1: So the Clippers, who had spent that whole decade chipping
- 23:48Speaker 1: away and getting themselves some relevance in this city, okay?
- 23:53Speaker 1: Just for LeBron, the Lakers, who are a terribly run operation, right?
- 23:57Speaker 1: Now LeBron is showing up and he's demonstrated to us
- 23:59Speaker 1: for years that it don't matter how good the operation is,
- 24:01Speaker 1: he can make this happen.
- 24:02Speaker 2: So LeBron's there.
- 24:04Speaker 1: The Lakers are also trying to sign Kawhi in 2019, right?
- 24:08Speaker 1: The Clippers had the opportunity to sign arguably the best
- 24:13Speaker 1: player in the NBA. 2019 Kawhi Leonard is now two
- 24:19Speaker 1: times finals MVP, roundly considered to be maybe the best
- 24:23Speaker 1: perimeter defensive player in the league. So the best defensive
- 24:25Speaker 1: player in the league could carry a team to a
- 24:27Speaker 1: championship whose second best player was Kyle Lowry. OK, now
- 24:33Speaker 1: you got the chance to get the best player in
- 24:34Speaker 1: the league.
- 24:35Speaker 2: OK, cool.
- 24:36Speaker 1: And he's like, you got to go get Paul George
- 24:38Speaker 1: and you give up the world to get Paul George.
- 24:40Speaker 2: I don't care what anybody says. You do that every time. Right.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Keeping in mind that Paul George is like one year
- 24:45Speaker 1: removed from a top three MVP finish.
- 24:48Speaker 2: You've got these two giant wings, great defenders.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Paul George, who's been the best player on a team
- 24:53Speaker 1: that got to a game seven of a conference final before.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Right.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Yeah. You do that. You feel like you're here. You've
- 25:01Speaker 2: got that chance. You make that move. Got it. But
- 25:06Speaker 2: once you got them.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Do you really have to just bow down in every
- 25:11Speaker 1: way that they wound up doing? I watched Pat Riley
- 25:14Speaker 1: not bow down to LeBron James when he was in Miami, right?
- 25:18Speaker 2: But you know what? I think he kind of did.
- 25:21Speaker 2: And here's why.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Part of why I believe the NBA's penalties were so
- 25:28Speaker 1: harsh was that they went and told everybody in 2019, hey, man,
- 25:31Speaker 1: this Dennis.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Guy, Watch out.
- 25:37Speaker 1: He's out here asking people to do too much, do
- 25:39Speaker 1: things that are against the rules.
- 25:40Speaker 2: And so the.
- 25:41Speaker 1: NBA basically created a Crime Stopper snitch line where you
- 25:45Speaker 1: were supposed to call in or you were supposed to
- 25:46Speaker 1: let them know anytime somebody asked for, using NCAA terms,
- 25:51Speaker 1: an improper benefit. Because Dennis was asking for planes. Dennis
- 25:55Speaker 1: was asking for a share of the Maple Leafs.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Yeah, Dennis was asking for everything, right?
- 26:00Speaker 6: Okay.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Okay. Now you're supposed to tell the league about this.
- 26:04Speaker 1: And that's obviously something you can do if Kawhi doesn't
- 26:09Speaker 1: play for you. But if Kawhi does play for you,
- 26:14Speaker 1: you got to deal with this dude for as long
- 26:17Speaker 1: as Kawhi does play for you. Because he's Kawhi's guy.
- 26:23Speaker 1: You can't, in application... You can't turn in Kawhi's guy, right?
- 26:30Speaker 1: What you have to do is take his phone calls
- 26:34Speaker 1: and just try to shake that shit.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We're working on it, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Yeah, we're getting to some stuff and we'll figure it
- 26:39Speaker 3: out later.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll work it out.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Like, I just got done reading Joan Didion's book that
- 26:43Speaker 1: she wrote about Miami, which is really interesting. And Ryan,
- 26:46Speaker 1: off the heels of that other book I just read
- 26:47Speaker 1: about Miami that I was telling you about, that was amazing.
- 26:50Speaker 1: But anyway, she makes a point in there that the
- 26:53Speaker 1: thing about the Cubans was that They felt very betrayed
- 26:58Speaker 1: by the United States government, particularly after the Cuban Missile Crisis,
- 27:02Speaker 1: where Kennedy basically promises the Soviet Union, we will not
- 27:06Speaker 1: invade Cuba.
- 27:07Speaker 2: And so the government has always.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Got the CIA guy to try to send them guys
- 27:10Speaker 1: in to try to maybe do something, but always like, hey, hey, hey,
- 27:13Speaker 1: but we ain't got nothing to do with it, right?
- 27:14Speaker 1: That's the same thing with paying pigs. Like, you trade them,
- 27:17Speaker 1: you get.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Paid, hey, hey, hey, hey. That's not us.
- 27:21Speaker 1: And so they just feel like you act like you care,
- 27:24Speaker 1: but you don't care, right?
- 27:27Speaker 2: That's Dennis. That's Dennis. Dennis is like, hey, man, what's up?
- 27:32Speaker 2: Get us some money.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're working on it. No, that wasn't
- 27:35Speaker 1: going to work on Dennis. Dennis is like, yo, what's
- 27:38Speaker 1: up with this money, man? Not Kawhi's money. My money.
- 27:44Speaker 1: I gots to get paid. What are we going to
- 27:48Speaker 1: do about getting me this money? And the Clippers are.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Like, all right, cool. We'll go get you this money. Now,
- 27:54Speaker 2: I'll say again, I don't really care.
- 27:56Speaker 1: About the fact that the Clippers would be like, hey,
- 27:59Speaker 1: we have sponsors here.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Cool.
- 28:00Speaker 2: We'll talk to them. We'll like none of that stuff
- 28:03Speaker 2: bothers me.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Right. I don't think that any of that cuts at
- 28:07Speaker 1: the fabric of the competitive balance of the NBA because
- 28:10Speaker 1: the salary cap is not intended to create competitive balance.
- 28:12Speaker 1: is intended to increase franchise values, right? But this is
- 28:16Speaker 1: not a bedrock of the league or the idea that
- 28:20Speaker 1: a team could help a guy get sponsorships or whatever.
- 28:22Speaker 2: I just watched Oklahoma City win a championship.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Also, that was part of the reason that, like, very
- 28:28Speaker 3: publicly discussed that why Kevin Durant went to the worst.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Look at all these guys.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Look at all these head guys that you can meet.
- 28:35Speaker 3: And now he just made all this money. Yeah. When
- 28:38Speaker 3: Hugging Face sells. Right. How do you think that came about?
- 28:41Speaker 2: Right, right.
- 28:41Speaker 1: I'm just saying, I don't, like, This isn't to me.
- 28:44Speaker 1: This isn't something that I really care about. But for
- 28:47Speaker 1: the NBA, we told y'all not to do this. And
- 28:51Speaker 1: then the Clippers went out here and actually did it.
- 28:54Speaker 1: And it seems very clearly they did this because Uncle
- 28:58Speaker 1: Dennis is really.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Annoying, right?
- 29:01Speaker 1: The wildest thing in there, and it's the one that
- 29:03Speaker 1: really did the Clippers in, is the email from the
- 29:05Speaker 1: scammer from Aspire, okay?
- 29:09Speaker 2: Aspiration, rather. And he's like, hey, man, you trying to
- 29:14Speaker 2: get this deal done or not? Or am I going
- 29:16Speaker 2: to have to go tell.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Dennis that y'all ain't getting this deal done and that's
- 29:22Speaker 1: why he can't get his money?
- 29:23Speaker 2: And they're like, oh, no, don't tell Dennis. What are
- 29:27Speaker 2: you talking about?
- 29:29Speaker 1: That's why I'm saying Balmer got scammed by Aspiration and
- 29:33Speaker 1: Balmer's getting scammed by Uncle Dennis.
- 29:36Speaker 2: What leverage does Uncle Dennis have? Think about this. Maybe
- 29:39Speaker 2: you were afraid.
- 29:40Speaker 1: That Kawhi would go to the Lakers in 2019 because
- 29:43Speaker 1: they are the Lakers. But Kawhi was never going to
- 29:45Speaker 1: go to LeBron James' team.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Right.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Like I know for a fact that was never.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Going to happen where he was going to go play
- 29:52Speaker 1: second fiddle to LeBron James coming off the finals MVP. OK,
- 29:57Speaker 1: never was that going to go down. So now Kawhi
- 30:00Speaker 1: plays for your team. What a fucked up.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Knee and messed up everything else. And he wants to
- 30:06Speaker 2: live in California. He wasn't living in San Diego so bad.
- 30:09Speaker 2: He live in San Diego and try to drive to L.A.
- 30:11Speaker 2: every day.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Where is this guy going to go? He tears his
- 30:16Speaker 1: ACL and you give.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Him an extension. Where is this guy?
- 30:19Speaker 1: Where is this leverage that Kawhi and Uncle Dennis had
- 30:25Speaker 1: over you to where you felt beholden to them? I
- 30:28Speaker 1: do not understand this for the life of me, how
- 30:32Speaker 1: they had that much flex over the Clippers. And all
- 30:38Speaker 1: it got them was a trip to the conference finals,
- 30:40Speaker 1: which Ryan, correct me if I'm wrong, happened in a
- 30:43Speaker 1: year where Kawhi got hurt and didn't even play in
- 30:46Speaker 1: the conference finals.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Correct.
- 30:49Speaker 1: How did you wind up here? With Lawrence Frank, with notes,
- 30:57Speaker 1: as you say, on all these things that the league
- 31:00Speaker 1: told you not to do.
- 31:02Speaker 2: They said don't do this.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Now, is it possible that you can go around the
- 31:06Speaker 1: rest of the league and you'll find other people who
- 31:08Speaker 1: are walking.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Guys up to sponsors, right?
- 31:11Speaker 1: Guys who have sponsorships with whoever has the Jersey Pats sponsor?
- 31:14Speaker 2: You certainly can do that. But they told you specifically not.
- 31:19Speaker 2: that you can't do this, and you were afraid of,
- 31:23Speaker 2: what was Uncle Dennis, what was Dennis going to do
- 31:26Speaker 2: to y'all? That's all I want to know.
- 31:29Speaker 1: What was he going to do to you that left
- 31:31Speaker 1: you in this situation where now, they got those picks
- 31:34Speaker 1: from the Kauai trade. They got two first round picks
- 31:36Speaker 1: that are becoming from Toronto. I've, if I'm not mistaken,
- 31:42Speaker 1: when Minnesota got punished for the Joe Smith situation, they
- 31:46Speaker 1: took five first round picks in alternating years.
- 31:49Speaker 2: They're doing these straight. They didn't have to do that.
- 31:53Speaker 1: That's silver twisting the knife there.
- 31:57Speaker 2: That's silver being like, y'all not going to punk me.
- 32:01Speaker 2: And they're going to.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Do this through five straight years just because they have
- 32:07Speaker 1: idiots in charge.
- 32:08Speaker 2: And then Ballmer has to fire Lawrence Frank, right?
- 32:12Speaker 3: He apparently just got a big extension.
- 32:15Speaker 2: I understand this.
- 32:17Speaker 1: I understand this, but I also believe I saw Pablo
- 32:19Speaker 1: say in an interview that basically Lawrence, I don't know
- 32:23Speaker 1: what's going through this guy's mind. He apparently snitched on
- 32:27Speaker 1: Balmer to lessen his suspension.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Yes.
- 32:30Speaker 1: What does it matter if you still work for the
- 32:33Speaker 1: fucking Clippers?
- 32:36Speaker 5: What are you?
- 32:37Speaker 2: I'm going to tell on.
- 32:38Speaker 1: My boss so I can come back to work sooner
- 32:41Speaker 1: for the same boss. Remember when Jason Kidd was like, hey,
- 32:47Speaker 1: I got to get this cat out of here.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Can't have him on my squad.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Yes, he's singing like a canary.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Because let me tell you, if there's anybody that knows
- 32:55Speaker 1: you can't have nobody like that around, it's Jason Kidd.
- 32:59Speaker 3: Takes one to know one.
- 33:02Speaker 1: He understands what this all has to be. So, yeah,
- 33:05Speaker 1: all of this went. And, yeah, I tell you, I
- 33:09Speaker 1: didn't think that the offense was that big a deal.
- 33:12Speaker 2: I still don't think the offense was that big a deal.
- 33:15Speaker 1: But in terms of actual application of the league, obviously
- 33:19Speaker 1: it is a giant deal because they docked them five
- 33:22Speaker 1: first round picks and they did that thing where they
- 33:24Speaker 1: gave Kawhi no punishment so that Ballmer has no grounds
- 33:28Speaker 1: to appeal. And so what I also wonder in this
- 33:32Speaker 1: is if the reports are true that Ballmer would not
- 33:36Speaker 1: agree to the allegations of wrongdoing or whatever it is,
- 33:39Speaker 1: the NBA needed this done. I think the Clippers were
- 33:43Speaker 1: moving largely to try to convey the idea that, not
- 33:50Speaker 1: convey the idea.
- 33:51Speaker 2: The Clippers were like, you need to get this done.
- 33:53Speaker 1: We got the cards here because we didn't funnel this money.
- 33:57Speaker 2: You just need to go ahead and get this finished.
- 33:59Speaker 2: How about that?
- 34:00Speaker 1: Because you don't want us to go to arbitration, right?
- 34:04Speaker 1: Because that was the thing. You don't want us to
- 34:05Speaker 1: go to arbitration now, do you? And they were like,
- 34:07Speaker 1: how about I not go to arbitration because we're going
- 34:09Speaker 1: to find Kawhi Leonard $ 700, 000 or, in the previous discussion, $ 375, 000.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Like $ 3.
- 34:18Speaker 3: 75.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Right?
- 34:20Speaker 1: That's what they're going to do.
- 34:26Speaker 2: And now they're stuck. They are done. They are cooked.
- 34:32Speaker 2: And for what?
- 34:34Speaker 1: To give Did I even give to set up for
- 34:40Speaker 1: Kawhi Leonard to get more money even though he had
- 34:46Speaker 1: no leverage in the actual situation?
- 34:50Speaker 2: Can I tell you somebody I think that people owe
- 34:52Speaker 2: an apology to? Stephen A.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Smith. Do you remember when Stephen A. Smith said Kawhi
- 34:58Speaker 1: Leonard was the worst superstar in the history of the NBA?
- 35:00Speaker 3: I do, yeah.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Say he wronged. Say he's wrong, right?
- 35:10Speaker 1: Like, I've always thought before this that the Kawhi move,
- 35:14Speaker 1: the Paul George move, all of that, great moves for
- 35:16Speaker 1: the Clippers, no matter whether they won or not. Like,
- 35:18Speaker 1: all the sterling was off of the franchise. They built
- 35:20Speaker 1: a new arena. There's a relevance they had.
- 35:22Speaker 2: All of that stuff. All of that's there. Great for them.
- 35:28Speaker 2: But your owner is a mark.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Like a literal mark. That's the only way to look
- 35:34Speaker 1: at this. And by the way, people apparently like working
- 35:36Speaker 1: for him. I think he's apparently been great for the fans.
- 35:39Speaker 1: I thought that in a league where the real concern
- 35:42Speaker 1: is teams not trying to win, that a team trying
- 35:45Speaker 1: too hard to win wouldn't be such a bad thing
- 35:47Speaker 1: for people.
- 35:48Speaker 2: You know, I thought they.
- 35:48Speaker 1: That's not what happened, Brian.
- 35:53Speaker 2: That's not what happened at all. And they took notes
- 35:59Speaker 2: on the criminal... Fucking conspiracy. Wow.
- 36:06Speaker 3: We know you can't be on top of all the
- 36:07Speaker 3: news and information of the day. No need for the
- 36:10Speaker 3: social media feeds. We got you. Now, if you haven't heard.
- 36:15Speaker 3: All right, Bo, if you haven't heard, craziness at the
- 36:17Speaker 3: end of the Michigan-Western Michigan game. Michigan appeared to lose
- 36:21Speaker 3: to Western Michigan at home after a failed Hail Mary attempt. However,
- 36:26Speaker 3: refs put on one second. Back on the clock. Michigan
- 36:28Speaker 3: completes their Hail Mary attempt. They win 13-12. Bo, what
- 36:32Speaker 3: was your biggest reaction from this game?
- 36:34Speaker 2: It's not going to be the one that people think.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Because, I don't know, did you see the Big Ten's
- 36:37Speaker 1: explanation for why they put the second back on the clock?
- 36:39Speaker 3: Yeah, and did you see the weird statement? Like, did
- 36:44Speaker 3: it bizarre? Yeah, but I did read it.
- 36:45Speaker 2: But it makes sense, right?
- 36:46Speaker 1: The argument is somebody went from out of bounds, came
- 36:49Speaker 1: in bounds, was the first person to touch it. That
- 36:51Speaker 1: happened with one second. So we rolled the clock back.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Also, yeah, the explanation of The TV clock and the
- 36:58Speaker 3: clock are two different things.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:00Speaker 1: But if that's what happened, fine, that's what happened. But
- 37:02Speaker 1: you definitely need to explain that.
- 37:04Speaker 3: Yes.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Like in the real time. But that's not the big
- 37:07Speaker 1: deal to me. Kyle Whittingham has already come out and
- 37:12Speaker 1: done the.
- 37:13Speaker 2: Whole I don't have to hate Ohio State to beat them. Hey, buddy.
- 37:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:19Speaker 2: You do it. Like, it's not like, it's not like
- 37:20Speaker 2: this guy doesn't understand rivalries.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Right. But he's on, he's a BYU grad who coached
- 37:24Speaker 1: at Utah. Maybe he has to have a certain measure
- 37:26Speaker 1: of perspective or whatever it is. But all I'm saying
- 37:30Speaker 1: is that game was 12 to seven after they, they,
- 37:33Speaker 1: they won it with a 12, seven before, after the, uh.
- 37:36Speaker 3: It was 12, seven before the Hail Mary. Got it.
- 37:38Speaker 3: Got it.
- 37:38Speaker 2: So it's 14 to 12. Yeah. 13, 12.
- 37:39Speaker 3: Yeah. But they didn't get the extra point, but whatever.
- 37:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey, man, there's a great
- 37:44Speaker 1: room for this to be a really terrible season in
- 37:47Speaker 1: at Michigan. Um, I'm not sure what they've got here,
- 37:52Speaker 1: I guess is what I'm saying. And I do think
- 37:54Speaker 1: that if you could only put up 14 points against
- 37:56Speaker 1: Western Michigan, seven of them in a Hail Mary in
- 37:58Speaker 1: your first week, it is okay to start off with some, hey,
- 38:03Speaker 1: what do we have here?
- 38:06Speaker 3: Especially when you've been paying your quarterback $ 12 million to
- 38:09Speaker 3: go there.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Yes, but they have an interesting thing that doesn't happen
- 38:12Speaker 1: very often, man. They were in position to hire an
- 38:14Speaker 1: honest to God Hall of Fame coach.
- 38:18Speaker 2: You don't have a lot of experience with teams.
- 38:21Speaker 1: And hiring the guy, not because it fell apart in
- 38:24Speaker 1: the last place, right? They decided they were ready to
- 38:27Speaker 1: move on. So he seemed like a great hire. He
- 38:31Speaker 1: was probably the best coach anybody could hire. But what
- 38:34Speaker 1: if it's maybe best coach and best hire? Not necessarily
- 38:37Speaker 1: the same thing. And I wonder if they got one
- 38:38Speaker 1: of those situations here.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it'll be interesting to see as the year goes
- 38:43Speaker 3: on because they play Oklahoma next week.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Good luck with that, fellas.
- 38:47Speaker 3: Yeah. All right. Over the weekend, LeBron James put out
- 38:50Speaker 3: a teaser for a partnership with the prediction market, Polymarket.
- 38:55Speaker 3: Social media had a lot of fun. This is my
- 38:58Speaker 3: favorite tweet. This shows the difference between MJ and LeBron's games.
- 39:02Speaker 3: Michael Jordan was more of a score-first gambling addict. LeBron
- 39:04Speaker 3: was much more comfortable creating Inverse's gambling edition for others. Beau,
- 39:09Speaker 3: your thoughts.
- 39:11Speaker 1: So there seem to be two industries. that people are
- 39:15Speaker 1: really down on. One of them is artificial intelligence.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Yeah, and specifically creating data centers.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Yes, and the other one is, FSA.
- 39:26Speaker 1: I'd say even past data centers, just like, like when
- 39:29Speaker 1: we have my buddy Ted on here talking about like
- 39:30Speaker 1: the use of AI created images and stuff like that. Like,
- 39:33Speaker 1: especially with younger people, when they get a whiff that you're,
- 39:36Speaker 1: that you use AI, like.
- 39:37Speaker 2: People are doing that shit on the sneak.
- 39:39Speaker 5: Right.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Like, like, like they don't, they won't talk about it
- 39:42Speaker 2: no more. But the other one is these prediction markets.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Now, I mean, I'll tell you guys here, I don't,
- 39:49Speaker 1: And if you say this is a distinction without a difference,
- 39:51Speaker 1: I don't have a great argument against it. But I've
- 39:55Speaker 1: allowed us to take sponsorships from sportsbooks.
- 39:59Speaker 2: I will not from prediction markets.
- 40:03Speaker 1: And the big reason I drew the line on prediction
- 40:04Speaker 1: markets was I watched the Polymarket commercial when it came out.
- 40:08Speaker 1: And it was a guy at a cash register. And
- 40:10Speaker 1: it was these real quick shots to everything that he
- 40:12Speaker 1: could bet on. And it seemed to convey the anxiety
- 40:15Speaker 1: of addiction. And I was like, oh, this is cruel.
- 40:18Speaker 1: You know what I mean? You're not selling people on something.
- 40:21Speaker 1: You're literally trying to get them hooked right here in
- 40:23Speaker 1: real time. And I was like, nah, man, I can't
- 40:26Speaker 1: get down with that. That, for me, is the place
- 40:28Speaker 1: that I draw the line. Again, if you say it's
- 40:30Speaker 1: a distinction without a difference, I don't think you're making
- 40:33Speaker 1: an unfair point. I'm not trying to defend myself. I'm
- 40:36Speaker 1: just trying to be honest with you about where I
- 40:38Speaker 1: come from on this. I say all that to say,
- 40:41Speaker 1: even with LeBron selling the bonds on his endorsements that
- 40:44Speaker 1: people found out about, brother, you don't need this money
- 40:47Speaker 1: that bad.
- 40:48Speaker 2: It's just not possible.
- 40:50Speaker 1: This, to me, is just an incredibly problematic product that
- 40:54Speaker 1: is being put in front of people. And I just
- 40:56Speaker 1: don't understand how much more money LeBron James needs.
- 41:00Speaker 2: To where you've got to go do this. And what
- 41:03Speaker 2: are you going for?
- 41:04Speaker 1: Because this ain't winning you no fans. I'm just telling
- 41:07Speaker 1: you that now. It's not going to do it.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Right.
- 41:11Speaker 3: And finally, the US Open had an interesting... controversy as
- 41:15Speaker 3: the two-time defending champion arena, Salah link up complained about
- 41:19Speaker 3: weed smell. She gave a quote. I don't know if
- 41:22Speaker 3: it was like coming for the crowd or was from
- 41:24Speaker 3: outside because the wind blows in the stadium. I don't know.
- 41:27Speaker 3: They've just got to be a bit more aware of
- 41:28Speaker 3: that stuff. Bo you've been, you've been to the U
- 41:31Speaker 3: S open. Um, what was your thoughts on this issue?
- 41:34Speaker 3: All right.
- 41:35Speaker 2: So we're all friends here, right? Okay.
- 41:39Speaker 3: Okay.
- 41:40Speaker 2: The U.S.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Open is what I would call a semi-outdoor activity. It
- 41:46Speaker 1: is an outdoor activity, but they got their roof over
- 41:49Speaker 1: ash that can close or whatever. But it's an outdoor thing, right?
- 41:54Speaker 1: Something that people need to understand about New York is
- 41:59Speaker 1: that it is legal to smoke weed in New York
- 42:01Speaker 1: anywhere that it is legal to smoke a cigarette. This
- 42:03Speaker 1: is not the same as other places. Other places, people
- 42:05Speaker 1: may just be doing it. Here, generally, this city smells
- 42:09Speaker 1: like weed a lot. However, time and place, I think
- 42:14Speaker 1: everybody generally understands those ideas, okay?
- 42:18Speaker 2: I would not feel comfortable firing up at the U.S. Open.
- 42:26Speaker 2: At a concert at Forest Hills, right down the street?
- 42:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, let's do it, right? Game on, we got this.
- 42:33Speaker 2: The U.S. Open, to me at least, doesn't feel like
- 42:37Speaker 2: the place to fire up.
- 42:38Speaker 1: And here's why the U.S. Open doesn't feel like the
- 42:40Speaker 1: place to fire up. It feels like a place where
- 42:43Speaker 1: somebody would tell on you. And by the way, can't
- 42:49Speaker 1: really blame them, right? This isn't necessarily that place. Now,
- 42:55Speaker 1: this is my question about what Sabalenka's talking about.
- 43:01Speaker 2: Are people smoking like on the lower levels?
- 43:06Speaker 3: I would find that to be impossible.
- 43:08Speaker 1: I would find that not only impossible, but that's not
- 43:10Speaker 1: the smoke at.
- 43:14Speaker 2: The stadium crowd.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Typically, when you hear stories about people smoking in stadiums,
- 43:18Speaker 1: they're up there.
- 43:19Speaker 2: They're way up there.
- 43:21Speaker 1: And so I want to know where those people are
- 43:23Speaker 1: smoking that Saban Lincoln can smell it on the court.
- 43:25Speaker 2: Because even if the roof is closed, that is a
- 43:27Speaker 2: giant place, right? That is a giant place.
- 43:31Speaker 1: And all I'm saying is, if the weed is so powerful,
- 43:35Speaker 1: that Sabalenka can smell it from the court instead of
- 43:40Speaker 1: telling the umpire, come tell me so I can find
- 43:44Speaker 1: out where they got that shit from.
- 43:46Speaker 2: That shit sound like the bomb.
- 43:49Speaker 1: If everybody can smell it, you on the court and
- 43:51Speaker 1: you can smell it, you need to.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Be like, hey, come down here for a second. Let
- 43:55Speaker 2: me get some of that. Who your mans is? What
- 43:59Speaker 2: are they firing up? I have so many questions about
- 44:04Speaker 2: what's going on there. And I have.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Questions about who the person is that's like, were you
- 44:11Speaker 1: the first one to fire up at the U.S.
- 44:14Speaker 3: Open?
- 44:15Speaker 1: Like I've been places or concerts where like the concert.
- 44:19Speaker 2: You know, you know you're being inconsiderate, right?
- 44:22Speaker 1: But a concert comes with a certain expectation, especially like,
- 44:25Speaker 1: you know, you're not going to like a child, a
- 44:27Speaker 1: kid show or whatever. You know, like the concert come
- 44:29Speaker 1: with a certain expectation, but you can always tell the
- 44:31Speaker 1: looking around as everybody tries to decide who's going to.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Be the first, right? And then after one person does,
- 44:37Speaker 2: now it turns, it's like the wave. One person does
- 44:41Speaker 2: it and now it starts sounding like.
- 44:44Speaker 3: Especially in New York. Yes.
- 44:45Speaker 2: You hear everybody going, who's the person at the US Open?
- 44:48Speaker 2: I said, man, fuck that, man. You got a lighter.
- 44:50Speaker 2: All right, cool. Let's go. Who's doing this?
- 44:53Speaker 1: Or, or, or, Arita Sabalenka reminds a lot of fellas
- 44:57Speaker 1: of every other woman they've ever dated, which is to say,
- 45:00Speaker 1: she's just a bloodhound. Whatever it was that you weren't
- 45:05Speaker 1: supposed to be doing, don't you worry. She will follow
- 45:08Speaker 1: her nose right to the, right, right, right, right to
- 45:11Speaker 1: whatever it is.
- 45:12Speaker 2: Like, Salma Lake, I don't know if she got a husband,
- 45:14Speaker 2: a boyfriend, or whatever it is, but I'm going to
- 45:15Speaker 2: tell you this right now.
- 45:16Speaker 1: If you went to the strip club, you better tell
- 45:18Speaker 1: her because she's going to smell that body. She's going
- 45:20Speaker 1: to get that smell of too much body wash before
- 45:22Speaker 1: you even get out the car.
- 45:23Speaker 2: She out here smelling that weed on the court.
- 45:26Speaker 3: All right, Bo. A lot of good voicemails over our break.
- 45:34Speaker 3: Here's our first.
- 45:36Speaker 6: Hey, Bo, Ryan.
- 45:38Speaker 3: It's Al in Austin, Texas.
- 45:41Speaker 4: Man, I'm listening to you talk about how you fell
- 45:45Speaker 4: with Al Duncan.
- 45:46Speaker 3: I don't know about you, man.
- 45:49Speaker 4: I'm 41. I decided a long time ago I did
- 45:54Speaker 4: not want to fall.
- 45:56Speaker 3: Ever again.
- 45:57Speaker 5: I think the last.
- 45:59Speaker 4: Time I fell... I was living in Colorado, and I
- 46:03Speaker 4: must have been 35, and I slipped on some ice.
- 46:06Speaker 4: And I think that was the day I decided I
- 46:09Speaker 4: never want to fall again. So, when was the last
- 46:14Speaker 4: time you fell unexpectedly outside of the mountain bike incident?
- 46:22Speaker 3: Love the show. Always listening, man.
- 46:24Speaker 4: Y'all have a good day.
- 46:27Speaker 1: Well, if I'm not mistaken, I think it's when I
- 46:29Speaker 1: fell off that snowmobile in Iceland.
- 46:32Speaker 3: Did you tell them about that?
- 46:33Speaker 1: I don't know if I have, but I'll do it.
- 46:35Speaker 1: So this is actually one of the coolest things I've
- 46:37Speaker 1: ever done. I rode a snowmobile up on a glacier
- 46:40Speaker 1: in Iceland.
- 46:42Speaker 3: Sounds awesome.
- 46:42Speaker 2: The pictures are incredible. And so anyway.
- 46:47Speaker 1: I fell off the snowmobile a couple times because they
- 46:49Speaker 1: were like, it's like a motorcycle when you turn. And
- 46:51Speaker 1: I'd never ridden a motorcycle before. So, you know, they
- 46:54Speaker 1: would do it where you got to swing your weight
- 46:56Speaker 1: right when you make the turns. And I wasn't fully
- 46:57Speaker 1: getting that. And I fell a couple times. And one
- 46:59Speaker 1: of those times, man, I fell. And, man, I was
- 47:02Speaker 1: in February. My shoulder was a wreck for three, four months.
- 47:06Speaker 1: And at the end of, like, the third month, it
- 47:09Speaker 1: started coming around. I was down in Atlanta doing some
- 47:12Speaker 1: work for Turner. And I met Brendan Haywood. And I
- 47:16Speaker 1: went to dap him up. And, buddy, that powerful, my
- 47:20Speaker 1: shit was fucked up. It's like he popped my shit
- 47:23Speaker 1: right back out. It was like I went right, I
- 47:25Speaker 1: don't know if it was, whatever, it was like I
- 47:26Speaker 1: went right back to the beginning. It was like another
- 47:28Speaker 1: two months before I could get back. Hey, man, let
- 47:30Speaker 1: me tell you something. Brent Haywood, strong as a bull, dog.
- 47:33Speaker 3: I love that it wasn't even like a hard, like
- 47:35Speaker 3: you ran into him like it was a hard screen
- 47:36Speaker 3: in the hall. He just dapped you up.
- 47:37Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 47:38Speaker 1: He just, you know, he was just offering me salutation
- 47:41Speaker 1: and hospitality.
- 47:43Speaker 2: And I was, oh, yeah, nah, man, falling down. Falling down,
- 47:47Speaker 2: bad news, man. Falling down real bad news.
- 47:50Speaker 3: Alright, here's our next one. Hey, what's going on, Bo?
- 47:53Speaker 5: This is D calling from North Carolina. Just had a
- 47:56Speaker 5: question to ask you. I hadn't heard many people talking
- 48:00Speaker 5: about it. Is it a coincidence that the Lakers got
- 48:03Speaker 5: sold to essentially the Trump dynasty after they had a
- 48:09Speaker 5: whole offseason of just acquiring white players? I don't think
- 48:15Speaker 5: that's a complete coincidence.
- 48:17Speaker 6: So I just figured I'd ask.
- 48:19Speaker 3: Love the show.
- 48:20Speaker 5: Peace.
- 48:21Speaker 2: I mean, look, man. It's a lot of white dudes
- 48:25Speaker 2: on the squad. It's a.
- 48:28Speaker 3: I mean, Josh Kushner's apparently a limb, but, you know.
- 48:33Speaker 3: If you sign that many white players to a basketball
- 48:36Speaker 3: team in 2026, you have to ask questions.
- 48:37Speaker 1: I mean, didn't they sign Colin Sexton? And I saw that,
- 48:40Speaker 1: and I was like, wow, there must be some sort
- 48:41Speaker 1: of mistake.
- 48:43Speaker 2: I don't understand what's going on here.
- 48:45Speaker 1: Like, if The subtext of Lakers Celtics in the 80s
- 48:49Speaker 1: always was race. If it was Lakers Celtics again, the
- 48:54Speaker 1: homies wouldn't know who to root for.
- 48:57Speaker 2: What are we talking about? How does this go? I'm
- 49:00Speaker 2: going to tell you this, man. I'm saying this to
- 49:03Speaker 2: the Lakers.
- 49:06Speaker 1: Based on my knowledge of white people, not white basketball players.
- 49:10Speaker 1: You can go out there and hoop with a bunch
- 49:11Speaker 1: of white boys if you win. You out there hooping
- 49:14Speaker 1: with a bunch of white boys and you don't win,
- 49:16Speaker 1: everybody going to think you're not trying to win. Because
- 49:19Speaker 1: if you were trying to win, why would you be
- 49:21Speaker 1: out here hooping with all these white boys? I'm not
- 49:23Speaker 1: saying you can't win with those white boys. I'm just
- 49:25Speaker 1: saying don't nobody think less of white basketball players than
- 49:28Speaker 1: white people.
- 49:29Speaker 2: Now, when the white basketball player actually turns out to
- 49:31Speaker 2: be good, now white people get a little bit kooky
- 49:34Speaker 2: about that.
- 49:34Speaker 1: But up until that, the brother's always going to be like, no, man,
- 49:38Speaker 1: he can go.
- 49:39Speaker 2: It's white people that's out here like, uh-uh.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Look, white people only let black people do things that
- 49:44Speaker 1: they think white people are incapable of. And basketball is
- 49:47Speaker 1: at the top of the motherfucking list. Like, let me
- 49:50Speaker 1: tell you something. You realize how good Tom Brady and
- 49:52Speaker 1: them had to be to be throwing the ball at all.
- 49:53Speaker 2: Them white boys? You know why? Because you don't do
- 49:57Speaker 2: that by accident. It's not possible.
- 50:00Speaker 3: You're saying you don't walk into Chris Hogan?
- 50:03Speaker 1: I'm saying your team can't look that much different than
- 50:06Speaker 1: every other team unless somebody's got an idea, right? Now,
- 50:11Speaker 1: with Belichick, I think it was very clear. He's like, yo,
- 50:15Speaker 1: this white-skinned model, they be selling those for 50% off.
- 50:19Speaker 1: You know, like that's what I think he thought he
- 50:23Speaker 1: found a market inefficiency.
- 50:25Speaker 2: Ain't nobody wanted to save money that bad in basketball.
- 50:28Speaker 2: Hell no. I'll never forget this.
- 50:31Speaker 1: And it's really funny how it all turned out. But
- 50:33Speaker 1: in 2009, I was working on the radio in North Carolina.
- 50:38Speaker 1: And this is when Duke had gotten really white, right?
- 50:40Speaker 1: It's like after Ellie Williamson left, I think they only
- 50:41Speaker 1: had three black dudes on the team. Now, of course,
- 50:43Speaker 1: the next year they won a national championship.
- 50:45Speaker 2: But that whole year.
- 50:47Speaker 1: Everybody kept telling me, but they got some real good
- 50:49Speaker 1: recruits coming in in 2010. They got some real good
- 50:52Speaker 1: recruits coming in in 2010. Now, ultimately, Kyrie Irving came
- 50:56Speaker 1: in in 2010. He had not committed when they were
- 51:00Speaker 1: saying that. The three guys they were talking about at
- 51:03Speaker 1: the time were Andre Dawkins, Tyler Thornton, and Josh Harrison.
- 51:08Speaker 2: For those of you who don't know who those guys are, exactly.
- 51:13Speaker 2: That's the point. They were just black. That was it.
- 51:17Speaker 1: The year before was Ryan Kelly and Mason Plumlee, two
- 51:21Speaker 1: NBA players, one of.
- 51:22Speaker 2: Whom is still in the NBA. Just a little bit
- 51:26Speaker 2: too white to really get people nervous. All I'm saying is,
- 51:31Speaker 2: even at Duke, they were like, hey, I think this
- 51:34Speaker 2: shit's going a little too far.
- 51:37Speaker 3: All right, here's our last one.
- 51:39Speaker 6: Hey, Bomani. Hey, Ryan and or Mike. This is Brady
- 51:42Speaker 6: from Montana calling to let you know that it ain't
- 51:44Speaker 6: just the South. My wife's good friend is having a baby,
- 51:48Speaker 6: and recently her mother-in-law came up in conversation. As you
- 51:52Speaker 6: might expect, all parties involved here are white. It is Montana,
- 51:56Speaker 6: after all. But I'm sure you can understand my surprise
- 51:59Speaker 6: when it was revealed that the mother-in-law's name is Sharesa,
- 52:03Speaker 6: spelled like it sounds. And we could have even more
- 52:06Speaker 6: fun if I told you her children's names, but that
- 52:08Speaker 6: would incriminate me.
- 52:10Speaker 3: Y'all take care.
- 52:11Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know why you think that Sharesa
- 52:14Speaker 2: is it.
- 52:15Speaker 3: Yeah, you've given yourself away.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Yes, yes. Hey, man, I'm really glad that we've become
- 52:21Speaker 2: the safe space.
- 52:22Speaker 3: Same.
- 52:23Speaker 2: I really do.
- 52:25Speaker 1: And look, I know these white boys have been looking
- 52:26Speaker 1: around like, somebody's got to be someplace.
- 52:28Speaker 3: Someone's got to bring this up.
- 52:29Speaker 2: Right, right, right.
- 52:30Speaker 1: There's nothing wrong with it. They're like, am I allowed
- 52:32Speaker 1: to talk about this? Yes, because Bo Jones said so. Also,
- 52:35Speaker 1: shout out to our man in Urbana, Illinois. He told
- 52:38Speaker 1: us about how he went to Urban Fades to get
- 52:40Speaker 1: his cut for the first time.
- 52:41Speaker 2: And he said that they done got a little uptick
- 52:43Speaker 2: in business.
- 52:44Speaker 3: Look at us.
- 52:44Speaker 2: Yeah, man. We out here.
- 52:46Speaker 3: Boosting local economies.
- 52:48Speaker 2: Job creators. Job creators. Maybe we can create a job
- 52:52Speaker 2: for Lawrence Frank.
- 52:53Speaker 1: Let me tell you, Lawrence Frank going to go to
- 52:54Speaker 1: Urban Fades and everybody going to stop talking.
- 52:57Speaker 3: Well, Lauren first can come here and take notes. You
- 53:00Speaker 3: can be my PA. Yes.
- 53:01Speaker 2: Yeah, let me tell you, that'd be so funny.
- 53:03Speaker 1: Lawrence Frank went in there and came out with like
- 53:04Speaker 1: two fades on the side and cutting his eyebrow.
- 53:07Speaker 2: I would love that. But ladies and gentlemen.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Thanks so much for joining us here on The Right Time.
