- 0:31Speaker 3: Yes, she's coming for a third time in studio.
- 0:35Speaker 2: We love her so much. You may have known her well.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I grew up watching her on The Vampire Diaries and
- 0:42Speaker 2: then we became just close friends. And she's here promoting
- 0:47Speaker 2: her new show, We Were Liars, which is going to
- 0:49Speaker 2: be out on Prime very very soon on June eighteenth.
- 0:51Speaker 2: So please everybody welcome Candace Key.
- 0:57Speaker 4: We're so happy to have you back on Scrubbing In.
- 1:01Speaker 5: I am so excited to be here.
- 1:04Speaker 6: This is truly I'm like, I mean, I'm excited to
- 1:06Speaker 6: be part of the show, but I think I just
- 1:07Speaker 6: filmed the show so I would have a reason to
- 1:09Speaker 6: do pr and come here and hang out with you guys.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Let's be on it.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I missed you. I miss you, guys. I haven't seen
- 1:16Speaker 2: you since we went to Nashville. We were there for
- 1:19Speaker 2: Ben and Jess's wedding. So what year was that? Twenty
- 1:21Speaker 2: twenty three, one, twenty one, Oh my gosh, yeah, twenty one.
- 1:24Speaker 2: A while the sum I saw, No, you came here
- 1:26Speaker 2: one other time. I've seen you one other time since, yeah,
- 1:28Speaker 2: but still long distance, I know, far away in like miles,
- 1:34Speaker 2: but always close to my heart, always close.
- 1:35Speaker 6: Well, that's the beauty of social media is I can
- 1:37Speaker 6: always be like, I know exactly what you guys are
- 1:39Speaker 6: doing all the time.
- 1:40Speaker 5: I know watching all the time that.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Too, I know, like I know what you're up to.
- 1:45Speaker 3: I'm following your social media.
- 1:47Speaker 4: I know. The last time we had.
- 1:49Speaker 3: You on it was over Zoom, but I think we
- 1:51Speaker 3: talked about social media and you were just like.
- 1:54Speaker 4: I don't know what I'm doing here.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:56Speaker 3: I'm just like, well, she's crushing it, doing all the trends.
- 2:00Speaker 5: I'm really trying.
- 2:02Speaker 6: I do work with someone who helps me, because otherwise
- 2:06Speaker 6: I even just like I truly had to have a conversation.
- 2:09Speaker 6: Was like, Mallory, but how do you make the words
- 2:11Speaker 6: like pop up and then disappear like that? I'm on
- 2:13Speaker 6: like that level of figuring it out. The green screen
- 2:16Speaker 6: thing was like mind blowing it.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I can't even do the green screen myself, So you
- 2:20Speaker 2: want to step ahead.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Yeah, you have to realize, like, all of a sudden,
- 2:23Speaker 3: it was expected that we're all just editors.
- 2:26Speaker 4: You know, and I've I've always loved.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Editing videos, so it was I just once I learned
- 2:31Speaker 3: how the apps worked. But I'm like, this was not
- 2:33Speaker 3: a fair thing to throw onto people that all of
- 2:35Speaker 3: a sudden, we're supposed to be able to film.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Direct, produce and edit our videos.
- 2:40Speaker 6: Yes, and then also like be clever enough to be
- 2:43Speaker 6: like funny with the video.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Funny.
- 2:47Speaker 6: It's a very stuff, but you know, we're all in
- 2:51Speaker 6: it together. And and I like to give credit where
- 2:53Speaker 6: credit's due. But I do work with someone awesome in Nashville,
- 2:56Speaker 6: and her name is Mallory and so she she is
- 2:59Speaker 6: the to my my yang.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yes, Okay, so you were here because you have a
- 3:04Speaker 2: new show called We Were Liars. We're going to jump
- 3:07Speaker 2: into it, but I want to talk about last time.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I feel like last time you were on our podcast,
- 3:13Speaker 2: I met you and I was like freshly dating my
- 3:16Speaker 2: now husband, and you were so sweet to me, and like,
- 3:20Speaker 2: I think you gave me your number because I reached out,
- 3:23Speaker 2: So either I like hunted it down somehow or you
- 3:26Speaker 2: gave it to me.
- 3:27Speaker 5: We I think it was even before that.
- 3:28Speaker 6: We sat down at like that, like there was like
- 3:31Speaker 6: a luncheon or something, and we might have even wore
- 3:33Speaker 6: the same outfit.
- 3:36Speaker 5: Yeah, bring your bestie, and we were.
- 3:38Speaker 6: Like sitting next to each other and we talked about
- 3:40Speaker 6: like especially being in a relationship or dating someone, or
- 3:43Speaker 6: the when you were potentially dating someone who has kids,
- 3:47Speaker 6: and I was like, call me, yeah, and it's a
- 3:50Speaker 6: different you know, It's just it's nice to have someone
- 3:53Speaker 6: who understands because it's a whole new thing to navigate.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I can't even explain to you, Like I call you
- 3:58Speaker 2: my stepmom savior. She did say that, yeah, because you
- 4:02Speaker 2: don't realize when you're like newly in that phase of
- 4:06Speaker 2: life you and none of your friends, Like you go
- 4:09Speaker 2: to your friends for guidance, but none of them you
- 4:11Speaker 2: can't really understand unless you've been through it and you've
- 4:13Speaker 2: done it. And so it's like I was getting guidance
- 4:16Speaker 2: from my friends, love them all, but like you not helpful,
- 4:20Speaker 2: and I feel like you really took the time and
- 4:23Speaker 2: like you were so helpful with me and just shared
- 4:25Speaker 2: so much, and like I will literally never forget it,
- 4:28Speaker 2: and I always want to be that for somebody else. Now, well,
- 4:32Speaker 2: thank you for saying that.
- 4:33Speaker 6: And I really like you know, I we were saying
- 4:36Speaker 6: before we got on it, just like it's I feel
- 4:39Speaker 6: like I've been watching like on social media and all
- 4:41Speaker 6: these exciting things. I'm just so happy for you. And
- 4:44Speaker 6: and it's funny, it's like you don't especially at the beginning,
- 4:47Speaker 6: it's kind of a hard thing to navigate and dance through.
- 4:50Speaker 6: And then now especially I've got, you know, having had
- 4:53Speaker 6: children of my own, and then you know, seeing my
- 4:57Speaker 6: you know, step children become adults and realizing like, oh
- 5:01Speaker 6: a lot of it just also takes time. And then
- 5:03Speaker 6: we think that, you know, when you do have like
- 5:05Speaker 6: a child that you've known since birth, you have this
- 5:08Speaker 6: like patience and understanding, and it kind of it's a
- 5:11Speaker 6: different process, like we expect to fall in love with someone,
- 5:14Speaker 6: like with a partner's children, the same a rate at
- 5:17Speaker 6: which you fall in love with your partner, and that's
- 5:19Speaker 6: just not how it works. Like you have to make
- 5:21Speaker 6: space and time to build a different relationship with their
- 5:24Speaker 6: children as well, for both parties, not just for the children,
- 5:28Speaker 6: but for you as well. Yeah, and but it's just, uh,
- 5:32Speaker 6: it's a really you know, unique and magical experience when
- 5:35Speaker 6: you have the time to experience at all. So I'm
- 5:37Speaker 6: just I'm just so happy for you. And that's also
- 5:39Speaker 6: very kind of you.
- 5:40Speaker 2: To say no, Like I honestly like want to be
- 5:43Speaker 2: that for anybody that I come in contact with, Like
- 5:46Speaker 2: I offer my phone number to anybody and say, like,
- 5:48Speaker 2: if you have any questions, I'm here, because it was
- 5:50Speaker 2: so helpful, especially in the beginning when you like have
- 5:53Speaker 2: no idea what you're doing. And so I just like,
- 5:56Speaker 2: I love you, and it's like so crazy because I've
- 5:59Speaker 2: loved you. I was a fan of Vampire Diaries, so
- 6:01Speaker 2: I was like, oh my gosh, Like it was was
- 6:05Speaker 2: like and now she's giving me like step mom advice.
- 6:07Speaker 5: I was really crazy.
- 6:08Speaker 2: And then I've like watched you go through so much
- 6:10Speaker 2: in life and like you're newly engaged. So I feel
- 6:12Speaker 2: the same way about you. I just love you, and
- 6:14Speaker 2: I will support everything, like I will watch We Were
- 6:17Speaker 2: Liars on repeat and I'll just have it, thank you,
- 6:19Speaker 2: I'll have it refeeding on my TV even after we
- 6:21Speaker 2: finish watching it, just to support you because I just
- 6:24Speaker 2: love you so much.
- 6:25Speaker 6: Well in life, I feel like you kind of need
- 6:27Speaker 6: like unless you're in it, it's hard. Unless your friends
- 6:30Speaker 6: are in it. You need that kind of camaraderie community,
- 6:33Speaker 6: like whether someone's experiencing grief or whether someone's experienced like
- 6:37Speaker 6: you know, if someone is watching Secret Lives of normal
- 6:40Speaker 6: wives and someone else is not, you are not having
- 6:42Speaker 6: the same conversation, like you need to be in that
- 6:44Speaker 6: world together to really get it.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Do you watch it?
- 6:47Speaker 7: So?
- 6:47Speaker 6: Yes? Of course I do.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Oh man, season is so good.
- 6:50Speaker 4: You're watching it?
- 6:51Speaker 2: I just started the second season, but I never watched
- 6:53Speaker 2: the first season.
- 6:53Speaker 5: Oh, I know that's a hard jump in.
- 6:56Speaker 6: Yeah, I feel like I brought your whistle in the
- 6:58Speaker 6: first season. That is, you're in the deep end his
- 7:02Speaker 6: ice cold water.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Did I get here?
- 7:04Speaker 7: Yes?
- 7:04Speaker 4: That's how cool Ton.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Yeah. So it's a lot, it's a lot right now.
- 7:08Speaker 6: I I yeah, Well, I'm here for you in that space.
- 7:13Speaker 3: I'm curious about jumping into a new show. Do you
- 7:16Speaker 3: be cause you are so beloved from being on the
- 7:19Speaker 3: Vampire Diaries, and I've always had I've always wondered as
- 7:23Speaker 3: an actress, obviously, being on a long running show is
- 7:25Speaker 3: like dream and the goal, right if you're acting in TV.
- 7:28Speaker 3: But at a certain point, is there that feeling of
- 7:31Speaker 3: like I'm ready to move on and be known as
- 7:34Speaker 3: someone different, as a different character, or is there that
- 7:37Speaker 3: part of you that is just like, that is what
- 7:40Speaker 3: it is and this is just my new project.
- 7:42Speaker 6: I think if you would have asked me ten years ago,
- 7:44Speaker 6: I would say, I want to be known for something else,
- 7:47Speaker 6: in a different character. And now I'm so happy that
- 7:50Speaker 6: like to be part of a character in a series
- 7:53Speaker 6: that people that they kind of hits that point in
- 7:56Speaker 6: a lot of people's hearts, because I have shows and
- 7:58Speaker 6: I have characters that are like that for me, and
- 8:02Speaker 6: and I would be devastated if someone was just like, oh,
- 8:04Speaker 6: it's so annoying you know that someone would associate me
- 8:09Speaker 6: with that, and and and so I love it. I'm
- 8:12Speaker 6: fine if someone wants to call me Caroline till the
- 8:15Speaker 6: Sun comes up. I love that the show has meant
- 8:19Speaker 6: so much to other people, So it doesn't like I'm
- 8:23Speaker 6: thrilled to have been part of.
- 8:24Speaker 3: That well, and I also think it it has spanned
- 8:27Speaker 3: generations like it was like Tanya's favorite show.
- 8:30Speaker 2: When I was like a teenager and now and then
- 8:32Speaker 2: it was.
- 8:33Speaker 4: My younger sister's favorite show when she was a team.
- 8:35Speaker 2: And I'm actually trying to rewatch it with my husband
- 8:39Speaker 2: because he's never seen it, and I'm like, I think
- 8:41Speaker 2: he liked it, but it's been so long since I've
- 8:42Speaker 2: watched it that I like, don't know, But.
- 8:45Speaker 4: I mean you can't. You never know when you're on
- 8:47Speaker 4: a show like.
- 8:48Speaker 2: That, is it going to spand the test of time?
- 8:50Speaker 6: And it has stood the test of time. I stood
- 8:52Speaker 6: the test of time. I think there's also the shift
- 8:55Speaker 6: in this industry, like the way that we consume entertainment.
- 8:57Speaker 6: It looks very different, you know. I think had this
- 9:00Speaker 6: show come out in the nineties, I think it would
- 9:03Speaker 6: have a different feeling right now.
- 9:04Speaker 4: But this is.
- 9:05Speaker 6: Something that came out where people were watching it every week,
- 9:09Speaker 6: and then suddenly when it was able to be streamed,
- 9:13Speaker 6: there was a global pandemic and the world shut down,
- 9:16Speaker 6: and everyone was home watching TV and either rewatching shows
- 9:20Speaker 6: that they loved yeah or made them feel sudden yes,
- 9:23Speaker 6: or suddenly we're old enough and wanting to watch it
- 9:25Speaker 6: rewatch it with their own kids, or watch it with
- 9:27Speaker 6: new friends, and it kind of took on a life
- 9:30Speaker 6: of its own in a whole new way in the
- 9:31Speaker 6: pandemic to the point where I feel like I get
- 9:33Speaker 6: recognized more now. I do more like fan conventions now,
- 9:38Speaker 6: like it feels like there is a relevancy around the
- 9:40Speaker 6: show more. Yeah, and there was then it is very.
- 9:45Speaker 2: And Julie's Plack, right, she created the Vampire Diaries.
- 9:49Speaker 6: Yes, she So, Julie Plack and Kevin Williamson created the Vampire.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I remember her name like it was like very prominent
- 9:55Speaker 2: on all the yes, yes, all the intro. So the
- 9:58Speaker 2: name like for me as a fan, like it out
- 10:00Speaker 2: and she did. She created We Were Liars.
- 10:02Speaker 6: So Julie Pleck and Kreena McKenzie co created We Were Liars.
- 10:05Speaker 5: And so Rina was a.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Writer a relationship with her from back then that she
- 10:09Speaker 2: was like, I want to do something else.
- 10:10Speaker 6: At D And Karina was a writer on the Originals.
- 10:13Speaker 6: So I've known Karna forever. So they and they've they've
- 10:19Speaker 6: wanted to bring We Were Liars to the screen for
- 10:22Speaker 6: like ten years, but it's just been happenstance for maybe
- 10:25Speaker 6: like the book was already optioned and then fell through
- 10:27Speaker 6: and then the book got reoptioned and then fell through,
- 10:29Speaker 6: so they truly uh and then they got the option
- 10:33Speaker 6: and then there was a strike, you know what I mean.
- 10:35Speaker 6: So this has been We had this lovely dinner that
- 10:40Speaker 6: they hosted. It was this big lobster dinner in Nova
- 10:43Speaker 6: Scotia where we filmed, and and truly when they made
- 10:47Speaker 6: you know, Julie made a speech and Karina also made speeches,
- 10:50Speaker 6: and there's like we we've wanted this for like a decade,
- 10:53Speaker 6: like this means so much to have everyone here, and
- 10:58Speaker 6: Emily Lockhart as well, who with the book has like
- 11:01Speaker 6: wanted to see the story come to life. And so
- 11:03Speaker 6: it's really it's just I think this is just exciting
- 11:07Speaker 6: for all of it. But I mean I told them
- 11:08Speaker 6: I would come. I just was excited that what they've
- 11:12Speaker 6: been chasing after to like put onto the screen actually
- 11:14Speaker 6: is like made it to the screen. I would have
- 11:16Speaker 6: done catering if they if that was like what I
- 11:18Speaker 6: got to do on the show. I was going to
- 11:20Speaker 6: come visit them and bug them anyway.
- 11:22Speaker 4: That's so cool. So have you read the books?
- 11:25Speaker 3: Yes, the goal would be that there's multiple seasons per book,
- 11:29Speaker 3: is it?
- 11:29Speaker 6: We would love to have multiple seasons of this show.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Is there a lot of pressure doing a TV show
- 11:36Speaker 3: or a movie that's based off of a book where
- 11:38Speaker 3: it has such a huge fan base, Like, do you
- 11:40Speaker 3: feel the you know, because when you do something off
- 11:43Speaker 3: you know as a viewer or reader, when you see
- 11:45Speaker 3: the movie and it totally strays from the book where
- 11:48Speaker 3: it's an opinion.
- 11:50Speaker 5: Yeah, everyone has.
- 11:51Speaker 3: An opinion, but the book, the book world has a
- 11:55Speaker 3: lot of opinions, and especially when it's a book like
- 11:58Speaker 3: this where there's like a cult following.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Did you feel any of that going on?
- 12:01Speaker 6: Yes? Is there a books that I've said, Like I
- 12:03Speaker 6: remember reading Something Borrowed in a day and like being like, so,
- 12:07Speaker 6: being like this was my like book and I want
- 12:10Speaker 6: to now it's a movie, and like I had it
- 12:12Speaker 6: in my mind a certain.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Way to live up it.
- 12:14Speaker 6: It did. It was you know what I mean, Okay, I.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Don't read much, but Something Borrowed I read. I read
- 12:22Speaker 2: that whole. It was like something borrowed, something blue, something whatever,
- 12:25Speaker 2: something something. Yeah, And so I was a big fan.
- 12:29Speaker 2: And I remember watching the movie adaptation and I was
- 12:31Speaker 2: like the book, they didn't live up to them.
- 12:34Speaker 6: It didn't live up to the book from in my opinion,
- 12:36Speaker 6: Gone Girl, I think crushed the book because I read
- 12:39Speaker 6: Gone Girl. In my opinion, reading Gone Girl, I remember
- 12:42Speaker 6: when the when the flip happened and I was on
- 12:44Speaker 6: a plane and I like audibly gasped, and I was like, oh,
- 12:48Speaker 6: I am in because everyone said give it one hundred pages.
- 12:51Speaker 6: And I thought that the movie did the same thing.
- 12:55Speaker 5: But so you never know.
- 12:55Speaker 6: I mean, as far as for this book, I think
- 12:58Speaker 6: there's more pressure. And I say this with great li
- 13:00Speaker 6: of there's definitely more pressure on the writers.
- 13:02Speaker 5: And I think that like they wanted to.
- 13:03Speaker 6: Serve not only the book lovers, the og book lovers,
- 13:09Speaker 6: because there's like this viral thing on book talk and
- 13:13Speaker 6: a lot of people, a lot of the readers of
- 13:15Speaker 6: the book will post a video of them crying when
- 13:18Speaker 6: the book is over, and so it's a whole thing talk. Yes,
- 13:22Speaker 6: it's very big in book talk, and so they there
- 13:25Speaker 6: is definitely like a very passionate community behind this book
- 13:31Speaker 6: that you know, of course all of us hope that
- 13:33Speaker 6: they're happy with it. And there's also characters that are
- 13:37Speaker 6: expanded upon. I mean, the character I play best, Sinclaire,
- 13:40Speaker 6: is you know, not as prominent in this book as
- 13:43Speaker 6: she is in you know, the second book, but you
- 13:47Speaker 6: get to know the the other family members a little
- 13:50Speaker 6: bit more than you would But the core of the book,
- 13:54Speaker 6: as like someone who did read the book, is very
- 13:56Speaker 6: much there.
- 13:57Speaker 2: If you had a summarize, if you had to kind
- 13:59Speaker 2: of say.
- 13:59Speaker 6: Like elevator, elevator, elevator culture.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Which but yeah, if somebody who has never read the
- 14:03Speaker 2: book doesn't know what it's about, how would you like
- 14:06Speaker 2: blank meets blank.
- 14:10Speaker 6: It is a.
- 14:13Speaker 5: It's a story about the story within a story.
- 14:17Speaker 6: I know, my elevator pitch is so hard for this
- 14:19Speaker 6: to me.
- 14:21Speaker 2: What you did last summer?
- 14:23Speaker 6: Well, did you read the book or did you watch
- 14:25Speaker 6: the whole thing? Okay, so it's it's a little There
- 14:28Speaker 6: is a psychological thriller element to this story. It's about
- 14:32Speaker 6: this family, the Sinclair's and the Sinclairs or if you
- 14:34Speaker 6: think of like you know, Kennedy esque, murdoch esque and
- 14:39Speaker 6: of wealth, very very old money, wealthy family. And they
- 14:44Speaker 6: escape their cities and go to their private island, Beechwood Island,
- 14:49Speaker 6: every summer and that's where everything is perfect and magical
- 14:52Speaker 6: and there is not a towel unrolled, There is not
- 14:56Speaker 6: a you know, muscle not wait or a oyster not
- 14:59Speaker 6: waiting to be you know, eaten, and a whine not
- 15:01Speaker 6: waiting to be sipped. Everything is just perfect there of
- 15:04Speaker 6: this perfect family and their perfect children, and there is
- 15:08Speaker 6: a summer in which something really bad happens, and so
- 15:12Speaker 6: the story goes back and forth between the summer before
- 15:15Speaker 6: the bad thing happened and the summer after the bad
- 15:17Speaker 6: thing happened, because no one will say what the bad
- 15:19Speaker 6: thing was, and our central character, Kaden Sinclair, is trying
- 15:23Speaker 6: to figure out what happened to her and why she
- 15:26Speaker 6: was left alone on a beach to wake up by herself.
- 15:30Speaker 6: So it's a lot of secrets, it's a lot of
- 15:33Speaker 6: family history, and it's also this beautiful young love story
- 15:38Speaker 6: where she's trying to figure out was it my family,
- 15:41Speaker 6: was it like my first love, my boyfriend?
- 15:44Speaker 2: Was it this?
- 15:45Speaker 6: And and it's all set in this insanely gorgeous backdrop.
- 15:50Speaker 2: I mean, it's kind of like the summer I Turned
- 15:53Speaker 2: Pretty meets a perfect couple. Well, a little bit of that,
- 15:57Speaker 2: a little bit of that meets I Know what you
- 15:59Speaker 2: did like summer. I don't know, I keep going back.
- 16:01Speaker 4: I think that's a slasher movie and yeah, I know
- 16:04Speaker 4: you did.
- 16:04Speaker 6: Last Summer is a slasher movie, and I'm not gonna
- 16:06Speaker 6: I feel like we're not closed to give spoilers. But
- 16:09Speaker 6: it's not a slash It's not a slasher movie. There
- 16:13Speaker 6: is no man dressed up in a Fisherman outfit with
- 16:16Speaker 6: a hook.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Every time she kept singing and I'm like picturing, I'm
- 16:19Speaker 3: like listening to the wrong movie.
- 16:24Speaker 6: So it's like Summer Retern, Pretty meets the Exorcis. The
- 16:30Speaker 6: era's tour needs Taylor Swift. Sure, Yeah, we've got crazy
- 16:35Speaker 6: Abrams singing in one of our trailers.
- 16:37Speaker 8: So yeah, it's a summary turned pretty thriller meets happy.
- 16:58Speaker 5: Gilmore me.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Well, I watched the trailer and at first I was
- 17:04Speaker 3: like oh, and then I go oh, I love something
- 17:07Speaker 3: with like a twist or trying to get.
- 17:09Speaker 2: I think I'm going to be very into this.
- 17:10Speaker 6: It's very I like the book I read very very quickly,
- 17:14Speaker 6: and the show I got a sneak peek and I
- 17:17Speaker 6: pinched it very quickly, even though we were already there
- 17:19Speaker 6: filming all of it.
- 17:20Speaker 2: But how many episodes? Is the first eight eight seasons
- 17:24Speaker 2: and they're all great to be episodes episodes.
- 17:26Speaker 3: And they're all coming out at the same time, so
- 17:28Speaker 3: they'll be able to be benched. Yes, do you like
- 17:31Speaker 3: a binge worthy show or do you like to saber
- 17:33Speaker 3: a week week drop? You know, like, if you're watching
- 17:36Speaker 3: a show, what do you prefer?
- 17:37Speaker 5: I prefer a week.
- 17:41Speaker 6: A week, But I also think that that's really hard
- 17:44Speaker 6: with spoilers. I like the one episode a week for
- 17:46Speaker 6: like a like the Studio I've loved for like one
- 17:49Speaker 6: episode a week, and Hacks I think is great. But
- 17:52Speaker 6: with this kind of show, I think it's really hard
- 17:55Speaker 6: for spoilers. And I do just kind of want to
- 17:58Speaker 6: live in the world like a good book and just
- 18:00Speaker 6: kind of like make that my main focus.
- 18:03Speaker 5: Like the Mormon Housewives, it all comes.
- 18:05Speaker 7: Back, you have range, comes back to mom talk. That's
- 18:10Speaker 7: how they say it. I'm interested because you're you're an actress.
- 18:13Speaker 7: So when you watch shows or movies, is there a
- 18:17Speaker 7: feeling of I know that they're acting?
- 18:21Speaker 4: Like you know what I'm saying?
- 18:22Speaker 2: Is it hard to watch like reality shows?
- 18:25Speaker 3: Sometimes I'll garden, which is me getting high, and I'll
- 18:30Speaker 3: watch the show and I'm like, I feel like I
- 18:33Speaker 3: know that they're acting, but I'm like, is this how
- 18:35Speaker 3: actors feel watching a scripted show, nonscripted show.
- 18:41Speaker 5: Well, I mean I think that we all know that
- 18:43Speaker 5: they're acting. I want to hang out.
- 18:45Speaker 6: I want to garden with you and watch some TV.
- 18:47Speaker 6: I this sounds and this could be a whole show
- 18:50Speaker 6: in itself that I would watch. I No, I mean,
- 18:54Speaker 6: I think the hope is that you feel people can
- 18:57Speaker 6: get lost enough in the entertainment that they don't feel that.
- 19:00Speaker 6: I think inevitably in all TV shows. You're like, you know,
- 19:03Speaker 6: when I was watching Hot Frosty over the holidays, I
- 19:06Speaker 6: was like, oh, he is acting like a snowman. Believe.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I believe all of it. I literally believe all of it.
- 19:13Speaker 2: And then whenever I'm watching something, I think I see
- 19:15Speaker 2: these people in my real life. So I'll like be
- 19:17Speaker 2: at like the coffee shop, like our local coffee shop,
- 19:19Speaker 2: and if I'm watching like Breaking Bad or something, I'll
- 19:22Speaker 2: be like, Tuco's here, Tuco's uncles here, And my husband's like, no,
- 19:25Speaker 2: he's not like you think every you think you see
- 19:27Speaker 2: everybody from every show that you're watching. I'm like, yeah,
- 19:30Speaker 2: it's like.
- 19:31Speaker 4: A man with a mustache and You're like, I know
- 19:33Speaker 4: who that.
- 19:34Speaker 6: Is, La, right, thank you?
- 19:38Speaker 5: You know, like that's always the crazy.
- 19:40Speaker 6: That's why I thought was so weird about living here,
- 19:42Speaker 6: is just like because that's how my brain works too,
- 19:44Speaker 6: Like I'm never like, oh my gosh, that's uh, like
- 19:48Speaker 6: I would always think it's like the character from the
- 19:51Speaker 6: show always yeah yeah yeah. But then that's the fun
- 19:53Speaker 6: thing about like seeing Housewives out in the wild, because
- 19:55Speaker 6: I'm like, oh, that really is Lisa.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Van Yes, right, like I know her.
- 19:59Speaker 3: I yes, yeah, well that's what I'm That's what I
- 20:03Speaker 3: was gonna ask. Is it more fun for you to
- 20:05Speaker 3: watch reality television because it's almost just like so far
- 20:09Speaker 3: off from your world?
- 20:10Speaker 6: I think that I think that the way like the
- 20:13Speaker 6: storytelling in reality TV now is really it's so good,
- 20:19Speaker 6: like it is. These are not like obviously it is,
- 20:24Speaker 6: these are such reality but like you know, these players,
- 20:29Speaker 6: these women predominantly are just there come in to work
- 20:32Speaker 6: and give story serve storylines, and but even the way
- 20:37Speaker 6: that they are edited is just I mean, it's really
- 20:40Speaker 6: it's it's a good storytelling. And I stand by that.
- 20:43Speaker 6: I stand by that so firmly.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I'm just laughing because I tried to watch the Mormon
- 20:50Speaker 3: Mormon Wives the first season, and I was like, I
- 20:53Speaker 3: can't get past the fact that they know that they're
- 20:56Speaker 3: being filmed and being produced.
- 20:58Speaker 4: To ask these crazy questions.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Like I can remember the first episode they sit down,
- 21:04Speaker 3: they just had like sat down, they hadn't.
- 21:06Speaker 4: Seen each other, and she's like, so have you had
- 21:09Speaker 4: a threesomes?
- 21:11Speaker 6: Like to act given the people what they want?
- 21:18Speaker 5: So you've but you've also.
- 21:20Speaker 6: Seen behind the curtain. You know what I mean, you've
- 21:22Speaker 6: seen behind the curtain. You've done interviews like that where
- 21:25Speaker 6: and like that's where like I have to block that out.
- 21:28Speaker 6: Like of course I know that they get to get
- 21:31Speaker 6: like all the trips are coordinated by action. We know that,
- 21:34Speaker 6: Like you know, even on like the Valley, we know
- 21:37Speaker 6: Kristen Doty's just coming up in there being like, oh,
- 21:40Speaker 6: well you take your wedding ring off.
- 21:42Speaker 5: We need a storyline this week.
- 21:44Speaker 2: I just have to say I'm very impressed with your
- 21:46Speaker 2: like it's embarrassing no versatility and your plethora or what
- 21:51Speaker 2: is your your range? Do you watch everything and and
- 21:56Speaker 2: you watch book talk and like you read all these
- 22:00Speaker 2: books and I'm just like, like, I'm just very impressed
- 22:02Speaker 2: with all of it. You Thank you.
- 22:04Speaker 6: I think you're the first person to use the word
- 22:07Speaker 6: impressed and my fiance is like a little like concerned.
- 22:10Speaker 5: He's like blink twice, like you don't know where you are?
- 22:13Speaker 6: Because does he secretly like it? No, No, I've gone
- 22:17Speaker 6: him into a few of them, like what he loves traders,
- 22:19Speaker 6: like give me give Alan Comming every award. We should
- 22:25Speaker 6: just make up awards to give him at this point.
- 22:28Speaker 5: And uh.
- 22:29Speaker 6: And then my kids and I love shows to we'll
- 22:33Speaker 6: do we do movie jars. So that's where just for
- 22:35Speaker 6: like anyone who's like, what about the scripted? Uh, we
- 22:37Speaker 6: watch a lot of movies, like I love a movie
- 22:40Speaker 6: jar with the kids where we'll pick a you know,
- 22:43Speaker 6: something that they haven't seen.
- 22:45Speaker 5: And uh.
- 22:46Speaker 6: But for TV we do like the Masked Singer, and
- 22:48Speaker 6: we do Dancing with the Stars, and we like Vote.
- 22:50Speaker 6: We get very very into it. So he, you know,
- 22:54Speaker 6: he's also gotten into those a little bit. He's like,
- 22:56Speaker 6: Mass Singer is a pretty entertaining show. I'm like, yes,
- 22:59Speaker 6: it is, sure is.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Who would have thought a bunch of so I've never
- 23:03Speaker 2: ran it, but I've been wanting to feel a show
- 23:05Speaker 2: I would love.
- 23:05Speaker 6: But I just want to go on record to say,
- 23:08Speaker 6: whoever makes the rules they change every season, I don't
- 23:11Speaker 6: understand them, but God love you.
- 23:13Speaker 5: I am in Like there is always.
- 23:15Speaker 6: Like a very show that I would like and none
- 23:17Speaker 6: of it makes sense. I Like every time he's like, well,
- 23:20Speaker 6: why who are these characters now, I'm like, I don't know,
- 23:23Speaker 6: but they're a whole new group of people this week
- 23:25Speaker 6: and he's like, well, they're from two weeks ago.
- 23:27Speaker 4: It's like, I don't know about the mess singer. Yeah,
- 23:29Speaker 4: they changed the rules on the I watch it now in.
- 23:32Speaker 5: A couple of years in a row.
- 23:34Speaker 6: And every season there's like a new twist of like
- 23:37Speaker 6: a lucky duck or like a competition, like we're bringing
- 23:39Speaker 6: this back from five years ago.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Well yeah, but canvas they have to keep the audience,
- 23:44Speaker 2: like guessing, I Love Island does that too? Yeah, Like
- 23:46Speaker 2: they're always adding in like these new things. I'm like
- 23:49Speaker 2: that you did not do that last season.
- 23:50Speaker 6: Yes, but I'm in mita now I'm in so I'm
- 23:53Speaker 6: locked in.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Wait, I do want to Okay, So I you mentioned
- 23:58Speaker 2: your fiance. I didn't know, so I knew you were
- 24:01Speaker 2: dating somebody for a long time, and like you told
- 24:04Speaker 2: me his name and it just loo was in one
- 24:06Speaker 2: of year out the other, Like I didn't even connect
- 24:08Speaker 2: the dots. And then I was in my pilates class
- 24:10Speaker 2: and I was talking to Mary, our mutual friend, and
- 24:12Speaker 2: she was telling me that he's the guy from Yellow Jackets,
- 24:16Speaker 2: and I was like.
- 24:17Speaker 9: I love that guy, Coach Bensah, I love him, do
- 24:25Speaker 9: you too.
- 24:27Speaker 2: I don't know him personally, but I love him in
- 24:29Speaker 2: the show, and I love how happy you are, and
- 24:33Speaker 2: I just I'm so so happy for you that you're
- 24:36Speaker 2: just like thank you showing the things.
- 24:39Speaker 6: And his joke is that this is just my long
- 24:41Speaker 6: game as a fan girl, because I too love Yellow Jackets,
- 24:44Speaker 6: and so he So Stephen worked on The Originals, which
- 24:49Speaker 6: was a spin off of The Vampire Diaries. So there
- 24:51Speaker 6: were times when we probably lived on the same block
- 24:54Speaker 6: or we're in the same rooms and would just say
- 24:56Speaker 6: like oh hi, But no, never had a conversation. Did
- 25:00Speaker 6: not register who he was. He was very much in
- 25:03Speaker 6: his you know world. I was in my world. And
- 25:06Speaker 6: it truly wasn't until a couple of years ago and
- 25:10Speaker 6: I just had gone to a convention and our mutual
- 25:14Speaker 6: coworkers were like, oh, yeah, Krueger's coming to dinner and
- 25:18Speaker 6: and I was like who, and then and I was
- 25:22Speaker 6: just like yeah, I'm single and on a trip and
- 25:24Speaker 6: just like trying like hanging catching up with friends. Definitely
- 25:27Speaker 6: not single and ready to mingle, but just like was
- 25:29Speaker 6: there and I was just like who And then he
- 25:31Speaker 6: he gets there and he like everyone's talking to him
- 25:35Speaker 6: like I should know him too, and then suddenly they're
- 25:37Speaker 6: asking him about this show where he's on this island
- 25:39Speaker 6: and I finally was like, you're coach Ben and he's
- 25:42Speaker 6: like yeah, and we also like worked together and were like.
- 25:48Speaker 5: But also your coach Ben.
- 25:50Speaker 6: But it wasn't until another year or two where we
- 25:53Speaker 6: ended up going on our first date and kind of
- 25:55Speaker 6: got to know each other better.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Whilst you like an invisible string.
- 25:59Speaker 6: There's very much and the invisible string was very invisible
- 26:03Speaker 6: until it was very visible.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it happens like that. It really like whacked you
- 26:09Speaker 2: in the face.
- 26:10Speaker 6: It was like home alone, like tripping over the string
- 26:12Speaker 6: and it was like set up by Kevin McAllister back
- 26:15Speaker 6: in the day. The string was like couldn't see it
- 26:17Speaker 6: like a ghost like Casper.
- 26:19Speaker 4: Yeah, does he have the same story or he sees.
- 26:22Speaker 5: That we've met.
- 26:23Speaker 6: He remembers multiple times, but he like, you know, I
- 26:27Speaker 6: was married. He he also was in long term relationships
- 26:30Speaker 6: and so there truly.
- 26:31Speaker 5: Was no recollection.
- 26:33Speaker 6: But he's like, you know, I remember meeting you like
- 26:35Speaker 6: a read through and like in the hallway work being
- 26:38Speaker 6: like o hey, and I'm like, yeah, no idea, you know,
- 26:42Speaker 6: but I'm like the.
- 26:43Speaker 5: You were just focused, very busy, but yes.
- 26:48Speaker 6: And it wasn't until yeah, uh, you know, just getting
- 26:52Speaker 6: to know each other later and then being like huh,
- 26:54Speaker 6: it's funny though, when the light turns on.
- 26:56Speaker 2: It's just there.
- 26:58Speaker 4: The moment of how did I'll reconnect? Was it text?
- 27:01Speaker 6: Was it a d dinner? It was just it was
- 27:04Speaker 6: a different dinner. Oh, totally different dinner.
- 27:07Speaker 2: I got to do more dinners.
- 27:08Speaker 6: It was, yeah, just a dinner that you forget, like
- 27:11Speaker 6: if you've especially friends that need. Even at that point,
- 27:14Speaker 6: I wasn't trying to like it was very much. I
- 27:16Speaker 6: was very happy and in my own world and I
- 27:20Speaker 6: was just like and yeah, I was like huh. And
- 27:23Speaker 6: I told her mutual friend. I was like, you know,
- 27:25Speaker 6: I'm so happy I'm never dating again, happily. Yeah, my
- 27:30Speaker 6: my ventures into dating was just like one comic relief
- 27:33Speaker 6: moment after the next, and I just.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Was very hard.
- 27:37Speaker 6: Yeah, I somehow set my like when I like tried
- 27:40Speaker 6: online dating, I somehow sent set up my account as
- 27:43Speaker 6: like mail for mail, and so I kept like looking
- 27:45Speaker 6: on the first day being like man like, like dudes
- 27:48Speaker 6: are really into like short shorts, these like cut off
- 27:50Speaker 6: dead him. It's really like popular right now, How did
- 27:54Speaker 6: you do that?
- 27:55Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 27:56Speaker 6: And it took it twenty four hours to like fix
- 27:59Speaker 6: and caliberry because I swiped on a few.
- 28:00Speaker 9: Of them and I was like, oh, quite flat, like
- 28:03Speaker 9: they're like oh I I was just like all my
- 28:10Speaker 9: pictures were like me and like sensible trousers and like
- 28:13Speaker 9: my friends like you have to post a bikini photos
- 28:15Speaker 9: Like I cannot do that.
- 28:17Speaker 6: I'm not a bikini photo gal.
- 28:19Speaker 4: Yeah, what were your prompts? What were your like dating app?
- 28:23Speaker 6: Oh god, I didn't have anything, Like I didn't even
- 28:25Speaker 6: write anything because I was too scared to like say anything.
- 28:28Speaker 5: So it was just photos and it was like smile
- 28:31Speaker 5: and love.
- 28:31Speaker 6: Yeah, like sensible leather trousers, you know me and like
- 28:36Speaker 6: like a caftan like you know, a giant moomoo holding
- 28:40Speaker 6: a glass of wine, you know. And yeah it was
- 28:45Speaker 6: not I did not get many swipes on on that,
- 28:49Speaker 6: so yeah, I quickly deleted them and was like, I
- 28:52Speaker 6: think I just need to heal myself and not like
- 28:55Speaker 6: be searching too much, and that was much better. And
- 28:58Speaker 6: then I ended up at dinner and was like the
- 29:00Speaker 6: lights turned on and I was like, well, that's funny.
- 29:03Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I when you go through something publicly, like
- 29:06Speaker 3: obviously going through you, you have to announce the process
- 29:10Speaker 3: of splitting up, and it's you were with someone who
- 29:12Speaker 3: is in the industry you can't like prepare for how
- 29:17Speaker 3: did you navigate that of going through that and having
- 29:19Speaker 3: to like share it because it's one of those things
- 29:21Speaker 3: that if you're going to move on, people need to
- 29:24Speaker 3: know that one chapter has ended so that you're moving
- 29:28Speaker 3: It's a clear cut of like.
- 29:29Speaker 4: Okay, now you're moving on to the next. Yeah, I didn't.
- 29:32Speaker 6: There wasn't really much of an announcement. I think that
- 29:35Speaker 6: I think that this is something that we all have
- 29:38Speaker 6: to deal with, is that we've all done to ourselves
- 29:41Speaker 6: for the most part, because we you know, between social
- 29:45Speaker 6: media and even if you aren't on Instagram, I'm sure
- 29:47Speaker 6: you're probably on a Facebook page. It's very rare that
- 29:49Speaker 6: someone's just not on anything right right, and so beyond
- 29:52Speaker 6: just like you know, experiencing that process for yourself. I
- 29:56Speaker 6: think we, you know, so many have experienced, you know,
- 29:59Speaker 6: having to have some sort of like how do I
- 30:02Speaker 6: navigate this in this like you know, online world that
- 30:06Speaker 6: we're all living in. And I don't think that there's
- 30:09Speaker 6: necessarily one right answer, except that we're all kind of
- 30:13Speaker 6: this guinea pig generation figuring out how we navigate, you know,
- 30:17Speaker 6: whether it's like jobs or relationships or friendships or you
- 30:22Speaker 6: know that we put on that people are like watching
- 30:26Speaker 6: and when there is like a change that happens, and.
- 30:29Speaker 2: That's like the best advice because I feel like everybody,
- 30:32Speaker 2: like everybody's so quick to you know, say somebody is
- 30:36Speaker 2: doing something wrong, or like you should do this and
- 30:39Speaker 2: you should do that, and it's like you should just
- 30:40Speaker 2: you're so right. There's no right or wrong way to
- 30:43Speaker 2: really handle anything. And I feel like I discovered that
- 30:46Speaker 2: so much in this in my like current relationship, because
- 30:49Speaker 2: I was such like a what's right and wrong and
- 30:51Speaker 2: like I need to do everything the right way, and
- 30:53Speaker 2: I'm like, there's really not. It's like everything's like a
- 30:56Speaker 2: blur of just like what feels right to you, you know.
- 31:00Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean I often I feel like the big conversation.
- 31:04Speaker 6: Even that happens with a lot of my friends right now,
- 31:07Speaker 6: especially in Nashville as are like older kids get older
- 31:10Speaker 6: and having nine year olds is like what about phones?
- 31:12Speaker 6: What about technology? And how do we have these kids
- 31:16Speaker 6: be you know, how do we introduce them to technology?
- 31:19Speaker 6: Keep technology away from them, you know, the young generation.
- 31:23Speaker 6: And I think we also have to look at ourselves.
- 31:25Speaker 6: And you know, we've kind of been this like our
- 31:28Speaker 6: own guinea pig of announcing things, which it used to
- 31:32Speaker 6: be like you do an announcement in the paper, you
- 31:34Speaker 6: know what I mean, people, or you send out like
- 31:36Speaker 6: a happy card every once in a while. But we're
- 31:39Speaker 6: really keeping everyone up to date, not just professionally, but personally.
- 31:43Speaker 6: And we also started all of this when you would
- 31:45Speaker 6: put all personal. I mean I remember on the Vampire
- 31:48Speaker 6: Diaries we had contracts that would say you don't take
- 31:50Speaker 6: one photo or post one photo of behind the scenes.
- 31:54Speaker 6: You don't like do any nothing. Whoa yes, so it
- 31:59Speaker 6: is complete, completely flip flopped.
- 32:01Speaker 2: So yeah, just I want you to do that.
- 32:03Speaker 6: Social media was like personal, let's get to know you,
- 32:06Speaker 6: and now it is like professional, like we want all
- 32:10Speaker 6: the behind the scenes content. Make sure you're taking pictures.
- 32:13Speaker 6: I mean even going into filming. We were liars last summer.
- 32:16Speaker 6: It was just it was just I had to giggle
- 32:18Speaker 6: to myself where they were like, we want you guys
- 32:20Speaker 6: to just take as many videos and photos as you want.
- 32:23Speaker 6: You could just be videoing everything like and save it for,
- 32:26Speaker 6: you know, to next year, because you're gonna want something,
- 32:29Speaker 6: which is so true. You're gonna want to like post
- 32:32Speaker 6: and like celebrate and remember it and share it with people.
- 32:36Speaker 6: But it is just so fin I have to remind
- 32:38Speaker 6: myself that wasn't that long ago, when like social media
- 32:41Speaker 6: was just a different vehicle than.
- 32:43Speaker 2: It is now.
- 32:44Speaker 6: Yeah, I think we're all figuring.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Yeah, it's so true though, Like I watched people now
- 32:49Speaker 3: and the way that these younger in their like early
- 32:52Speaker 3: twenties go and just talk about their breakup and talk
- 32:56Speaker 3: about things that they're going through. They come out there's
- 32:58Speaker 3: like this confidence of like their mentality is like we're
- 33:02Speaker 3: on this tiny spec on this on this earth, and
- 33:05Speaker 3: we're we're gonna be gone. Who cares? And I'm like
- 33:08Speaker 3: I don't have that at all. I care about everything.
- 33:10Speaker 6: No, I am still like Paris filter check, like let
- 33:14Speaker 6: me make sure everything is spelled right, let me name
- 33:17Speaker 6: everything I'm doing, and like, let me record ten videos
- 33:20Speaker 6: just to say like.
- 33:20Speaker 9: Hey, I can't stop.
- 33:26Speaker 5: I can't stand on the side.
- 33:28Speaker 4: I can't stop.
- 33:31Speaker 2: I can't either.
- 33:32Speaker 6: I literally like we're doing we have the big premiere
- 33:35Speaker 6: for We Were Liars next week, and I was like, fitting,
- 33:37Speaker 6: I'm getting real fancy with a stylist. She's going glam
- 33:40Speaker 6: and and I was like, I need you guys to
- 33:43Speaker 6: tell me how to stand, Like how do people hold
- 33:45Speaker 6: hands now? Because now they do? Like was it this
- 33:47Speaker 6: Selena Gomez?
- 33:48Speaker 4: Like you put this?
- 33:51Speaker 5: Everyone does this.
- 33:52Speaker 4: That's that's hard.
- 33:53Speaker 5: That's a hard yeah in Korea from South Korea.
- 33:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I just.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Discovered this like two days ago.
- 33:59Speaker 5: Yeah, no, I know.
- 34:00Speaker 6: I went to Soul and I remember everyone was doing this.
- 34:02Speaker 6: I was like, do we need a tip?
- 34:03Speaker 5: And I was like no, it's just the heart symbol.
- 34:07Speaker 3: So I've been noticing the pose everyone's standard, but like with.
- 34:13Speaker 6: A limp hand, like a delicate it's like if your
- 34:15Speaker 6: hold the hands with someone, you hold hold your hands
- 34:19Speaker 6: in front of you. That's like, this is the new move.
- 34:22Speaker 6: Not not that this was our move. This is move
- 34:25Speaker 6: Like was you you do this and you poke it
- 34:27Speaker 6: out and then you do a little red tilt collar
- 34:30Speaker 6: bone and head tilt. Skinner and head tilt is what
- 34:32Speaker 6: we called it back in the early.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Ons and now and now it's.
- 34:36Speaker 6: The you clutch, a tiny a tiny limp wristed clutch. Yeah,
- 34:41Speaker 6: it's good, it's good. Good word, really good.
- 35:02Speaker 3: We obviously your ring is so beautiful. Thank you you
- 35:05Speaker 3: announ So you got engaged? Did you was there any
- 35:09Speaker 3: expectation of that coming?
- 35:12Speaker 4: Did you have any idea?
- 35:13Speaker 5: Well, yeah, I'm an adult. We definitely talked about it.
- 35:16Speaker 4: I hope the proposal.
- 35:21Speaker 7: No, I will say I think right though anyone el
- 35:24Speaker 7: says I had no idea.
- 35:28Speaker 4: I did not talk about, Oh did y'all talk about
- 35:30Speaker 4: getting married? I'm talking about did you have any idea?
- 35:32Speaker 4: When he surprised?
- 35:35Speaker 6: Yeah, he surprised me. I'll leave it at that. He
- 35:37Speaker 6: definitely surprised me. And it's been nice. We've had we've
- 35:41Speaker 6: had we had some time before like I posted anything online,
- 35:44Speaker 6: So it was a good like month and a half
- 35:45Speaker 6: almost two months.
- 35:46Speaker 2: So do you know what I'm not going to ask
- 35:47Speaker 2: you when you're getting married or how you're getting married
- 35:52Speaker 2: and who you're inviting?
- 35:54Speaker 4: Why?
- 35:54Speaker 2: Because that was my biggest pet peeve.
- 35:57Speaker 5: Because it becomes your whole. It becomes like and I
- 36:01Speaker 5: like talking.
- 36:01Speaker 2: I loved talking about it, but it was I just
- 36:03Speaker 2: didn't know, and so anytime somebody would ask me would
- 36:05Speaker 2: make me feel like I don't know, and so then
- 36:07Speaker 2: I would feel like I'm behind, Like I always feel
- 36:09Speaker 2: like I was behind on the planning because I just
- 36:12Speaker 2: didn't know.
- 36:14Speaker 6: Well, I mean, I would have no answers for you anyway. Yeah.
- 36:17Speaker 4: See, yeah, it's very easy answer.
- 36:20Speaker 5: It's a very easy answer.
- 36:22Speaker 6: But no, we're just we're It's been nice to enjoy it,
- 36:26Speaker 6: but it was also nice to have some I know,
- 36:28Speaker 6: I had a girlfriend just take some pretty pictures. So
- 36:30Speaker 6: it's been you know, just but yes, he surprised me,
- 36:34Speaker 6: but it was not a surprise coming. I think everyone
- 36:37Speaker 6: should at least have a conversation and not be totally surprised.
- 36:41Speaker 6: Not that I'm your mother and you should listen to me,
- 36:44Speaker 6: but I'm just saying.
- 36:46Speaker 3: How has it been because you stepped into the step
- 36:50Speaker 3: parent role? How has it been watching your fiance step
- 36:54Speaker 3: into a role?
- 36:55Speaker 6: It's been great? Yeah, I mean and again, like everyone,
- 37:00Speaker 6: it's just such a unique experience to each family and
- 37:03Speaker 6: it's really. You know, it's a personal and unique experience
- 37:05Speaker 6: to each family. There's a different dynamic for everyone, just
- 37:09Speaker 6: like kids have completely different dynamics. Yeah, you know, my
- 37:13Speaker 6: oldest like lives in like gym shirts and T shirts,
- 37:17Speaker 6: and I mean she did get dressed up for Harry
- 37:18Speaker 6: Potter last night. She was very excited and like is
- 37:21Speaker 6: obsessed with linage, and my.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Four year old like what's lineage?
- 37:27Speaker 5: That like lip masks, it's all the tiny thing.
- 37:31Speaker 6: And my four year old wants to only wear like
- 37:33Speaker 6: sparkles and princess dresses. And you know, it's like every
- 37:37Speaker 6: every kid is different, every situation. But it's been it's
- 37:41Speaker 6: been really great and special, and you know that's one
- 37:44Speaker 6: of the things.
- 37:45Speaker 2: That's the one thing I get asked all the time, like, oh,
- 37:47Speaker 2: I haven't met as kids and it's been three weeks.
- 37:50Speaker 2: I'm like, girl, I've had nine months of that. So
- 37:55Speaker 2: like it's like everybody has their own Every relationship I
- 37:58Speaker 2: feel like has its own like time timeline, and like
- 38:01Speaker 2: there again, there's literally no right or wrong. It's whatever
- 38:04Speaker 2: is like right for you. And I feel like that's
- 38:06Speaker 2: like there's so much like beauty and freedom in that.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Yes, it's so true, have your kids process because the
- 38:12Speaker 3: well I'm assuming the nine year old that you are
- 38:14Speaker 3: a celebrity and in the industry.
- 38:16Speaker 4: Does she get it?
- 38:17Speaker 6: My nine year old gets that. They're like, there's people
- 38:20Speaker 6: know who I am. My four year old is like,
- 38:22Speaker 6: I think, just starting to get it. Usually everyone's pretty
- 38:26Speaker 6: chill and so it's not too obvious. But there was
- 38:29Speaker 6: someone who, like, not aggressively, but it was like a
- 38:32Speaker 6: mom and daughter I think, who like followed us in
- 38:34Speaker 6: a parking lot and while I was like walking my
- 38:36Speaker 6: kids to the car, and my four year old was
- 38:38Speaker 6: very confused, like why because you know what what just happened?
- 38:44Speaker 6: And I usually when I'm with my kids, I politely go,
- 38:46Speaker 6: you know, I'm in mama mode. It's so nice to
- 38:49Speaker 6: meet you, not right now. But so my nine year
- 38:53Speaker 6: old thinks I'm very mean. Yes she she's I say that, Yeah,
- 38:58Speaker 6: she's told me. She was like, you know how you
- 39:00Speaker 6: like Taylor Swift, Well, to some people you're like meeting
- 39:05Speaker 6: it's like them meeting you is like you would be
- 39:08Speaker 6: you meeting Taylor Swift, and it's just really sad that
- 39:10Speaker 6: you won't even take a picture with them, and you
- 39:13Speaker 6: don't even like say, hi to them, and I'm like,
- 39:16Speaker 6: mommy takes pictures of people, but when I'm with you,
- 39:19Speaker 6: Mommy's in mama mode and Mom's a mama bear, and
- 39:23Speaker 6: like I'm not.
- 39:25Speaker 2: It's funny that she's able to like.
- 39:28Speaker 6: Process, Yes, she she just doesn't like when people are
- 39:33Speaker 6: like filming when I've asked, like, yeah, she that weirds
- 39:37Speaker 6: her out appropriately too, But again it doesn't happen very often.
- 39:40Speaker 6: My running joke is that everyone usually that everyone usually
- 39:44Speaker 6: recognizes me when I'm ovulating, like there's just something about
- 39:46Speaker 6: like I'm extra sparkly and I'll just get stopped all
- 39:49Speaker 6: day long and I'll check my app and be like, yep, yeah,
- 39:52Speaker 6: it's just those pheromones.
- 39:54Speaker 5: Because it's the fan pheromones.
- 39:57Speaker 2: There is something too that I know, Yeah, you're like
- 40:00Speaker 2: peak are when you're like flowing and.
- 40:03Speaker 6: Apparently just looks super Caroline Forbesy that day.
- 40:06Speaker 4: When you go to the fan conventions, is there anyone
- 40:10Speaker 4: that you.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Get to see that you don't normally see from the
- 40:12Speaker 3: cast or the you know, working in the because I
- 40:15Speaker 3: know a lot of those fan conventions.
- 40:16Speaker 4: There's different shows, Like we did one and it was
- 40:18Speaker 4: all like.
- 40:18Speaker 2: A First Responders, But I don't know for y'all, is
- 40:23Speaker 2: it just just the Vampire Diaries and the Originals to.
- 40:27Speaker 6: Be The European ones are usually a lot of different people. Okay,
- 40:30Speaker 6: so there's like European comic cons where a lot of
- 40:33Speaker 6: us go and it's a whole bunch of different people
- 40:35Speaker 6: and usually a few cast mates. And yeah, there was
- 40:39Speaker 6: like there was one that I went to and it
- 40:40Speaker 6: was like a lot of people from a Viking show
- 40:44Speaker 6: and so every once in a while you just hear like, ah,
- 40:46Speaker 6: like these chants and I think like someone had like
- 40:49Speaker 6: one of the actors like cut his ponytail off and
- 40:51Speaker 6: like wave it around, and I was just like.
- 40:54Speaker 5: Ooh, I can't imagine.
- 40:56Speaker 6: There was a little interesting time. And then a lot
- 41:00Speaker 6: of the ones here locally are more geared towards like
- 41:04Speaker 6: just usually the Vampire Diaries or Originals, and yeah, and
- 41:08Speaker 6: Legacy's crew. But there is a fun one that happens
- 41:11Speaker 6: like where we used to film in Covington, and I
- 41:14Speaker 6: think they're doing it in Conyer's later this fall. But
- 41:17Speaker 6: it's wild because it's like back where we were filming,
- 41:19Speaker 6: and everyone goes and so usually there's like a big
- 41:22Speaker 6: dinner and it's it is really nice to see everyone
- 41:25Speaker 6: because we don't see each other that often to live
- 41:27Speaker 6: all over the place, but where we were together for
- 41:29Speaker 6: eight years, so we pick up just like family, and
- 41:33Speaker 6: we all know, like you know, it truly feels like
- 41:36Speaker 6: we're all cousins. And there's always that like one crazy
- 41:39Speaker 6: uncle where you're like, ah, there you are, you know,
- 41:42Speaker 6: and we just it's it's really fun to see everyone.
- 41:45Speaker 4: Well, I was gonna say, because you you do.
- 41:46Speaker 3: A show like that and you're all you're young, you're
- 41:49Speaker 3: in this like kind of just not trapped together, but
- 41:52Speaker 3: you're it's a work.
- 41:54Speaker 6: I called it the traveling circus that never traveled anywhere.
- 41:57Speaker 5: Traveling circus.
- 41:58Speaker 3: So obviously when there's that many people, there's and be
- 42:00Speaker 3: like little dramas and whatever. But at this point now
- 42:03Speaker 3: when you'll see each other, is it just like all
- 42:05Speaker 3: that's behind you and everyone just like is happy to
- 42:07Speaker 3: catch up and get along.
- 42:08Speaker 6: Yeah, we're all grown ups and we're all there working
- 42:11Speaker 6: as well, but it is just yeah, it's nice to
- 42:15Speaker 6: just be able to kind of giggle and hang out
- 42:17Speaker 6: and it really is lovely to see everyone.
- 42:20Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, yeah, those are long days. I know,
- 42:25Speaker 5: it is. It is always tough. The dinner is always
- 42:27Speaker 5: really really fun.
- 42:28Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, Yeah.
- 42:29Speaker 6: That's where we all get to like actually catch up
- 42:31Speaker 6: because in between you're just I mean, it is fun
- 42:34Speaker 6: to be there with fans of the show. Because it
- 42:38Speaker 6: was eight seasons, people usually have like rebinge it or
- 42:42Speaker 6: have watched it multiple times. And so the other funny
- 42:45Speaker 6: thing is you'll go to like a lot of these
- 42:46Speaker 6: panels and these meet and greets and with like smaller
- 42:49Speaker 6: groups of people, and they be asked all these questions
- 42:52Speaker 6: that like you have no idea what the answer is. Yeah,
- 42:54Speaker 6: where they're like why in episode fourteen of season three
- 42:58Speaker 6: did you put the moonstone here and not here? And
- 43:00Speaker 6: I'm like it's time.
- 43:05Speaker 5: I'm like, we had I mean, we were all babies.
- 43:10Speaker 6: I was twenty one when.
- 43:11Speaker 5: I got that job, so it took crazy just before.
- 43:13Speaker 6: My thirtieth birthday, so we all really came up together
- 43:19Speaker 6: and and a lot of we were in Atlanta, Georgia
- 43:22Speaker 6: for nine months out of the year.
- 43:23Speaker 5: We would you know, we would.
- 43:25Speaker 6: Film all day on a Friday and wrap at midnight
- 43:29Speaker 6: and all as a crew as well, about probably like
- 43:32Speaker 6: fifty to seventy five of us usually go to like
- 43:34Speaker 6: a wine bar and all hang out and.
- 43:37Speaker 5: Decompress from the week and be like see Itt four.
- 43:39Speaker 6: Am on Monday. You know, we hung out all the time.
- 43:42Speaker 2: So cute, so cool.
- 43:45Speaker 3: Do you have any like in terms of next projects?
- 43:49Speaker 3: I know that you're you have this show coming out.
- 43:52Speaker 3: Do you have any dream castmates like opposite of you
- 43:59Speaker 3: that you would love to work with?
- 44:00Speaker 6: Oh? Man, I mean usually I know I never have
- 44:05Speaker 6: a very good answer for this, but I'd love to
- 44:08Speaker 6: just be around funny people. But then i'd have to
- 44:10Speaker 6: be Maybe I could just be like a pa on
- 44:12Speaker 6: a funny set. I don't know if across from a
- 44:15Speaker 6: funny person, but I could get them coffee and laugh
- 44:18Speaker 6: at all their jokes really really well.
- 44:20Speaker 4: I'd love to see you in a rom com.
- 44:22Speaker 6: I would love to do a rom com.
- 44:24Speaker 4: D give me Kate Hudson how to Lose a Guy?
- 44:29Speaker 5: Thank you, Thank you very much.
- 44:31Speaker 6: My dream is just to be in any Emily Henry
- 44:34Speaker 6: movie that's coming out, because I know all of her
- 44:36Speaker 6: books are going to be turned into movies.
- 44:38Speaker 5: Like I love Book Lovers.
- 44:39Speaker 6: It's one of my favorites. And like you know, Happy
- 44:43Speaker 6: Place I know is already coming. I love It's a
- 44:45Speaker 6: funny story. I just finished reading not that long ago,
- 44:47Speaker 6: and it's so good.
- 44:49Speaker 5: I really don't I really don't read that much.
- 44:53Speaker 2: To me, I haven't.
- 44:56Speaker 8: Overwhelmed with the amount of books.
- 45:00Speaker 2: I'm like, I am so behind Candice right now.
- 45:02Speaker 6: No, I don't sleep, like it's a real problem. It's
- 45:06Speaker 6: funny coming here. I knew I had to sleep. So
- 45:07Speaker 6: I was at the store. I was like, oh, I
- 45:09Speaker 6: should get something to help me sleep, but I want
- 45:11Speaker 6: like a vitamin, even though those don't like in my brain,
- 45:14Speaker 6: I'm like, oh, they don't work. You know, I'm doing
- 45:16Speaker 6: air quotes for those who can't see me.
- 45:18Speaker 5: And so I got melatonin and I was like, well,
- 45:20Speaker 5: I got it. Just so I got the.
- 45:21Speaker 6: Mega one and that's like ten milligrams. I guess that's
- 45:24Speaker 6: a big deal. I don't know that just popped and
- 45:27Speaker 6: I finally slept.
- 45:28Speaker 2: Oh let me sleep works really well too? Yeah, not
- 45:31Speaker 2: sponsored just a fan.
- 45:48Speaker 4: Are you not sleeping? Because do you never like you've
- 45:50Speaker 4: never slept?
- 45:51Speaker 6: I do. I did ever since I had kiss a
- 45:53Speaker 6: vampire I am a vampire obviously, and ever since I
- 45:57Speaker 6: had kids. I think I always have that little voice
- 45:59Speaker 6: that's like I have to be prepared so somewhat conscious,
- 46:04Speaker 6: somewhat conscious, like always listening for like the cry on
- 46:06Speaker 6: the other end of the of the wall or something,
- 46:09Speaker 6: but uh if someone wakes up. But I yeah, and
- 46:12Speaker 6: I just want like my time, like a TV's my
- 46:14Speaker 6: best friend. I want to hang out with her at
- 46:16Speaker 6: night and and then if I can't sleep, I should
- 46:19Speaker 6: pick up a book and and then you know, and
- 46:22Speaker 6: then yeah, too much, too many things.
- 46:25Speaker 3: Okay, what's your favorite Housewife season? If someone's never watched
- 46:28Speaker 3: a Housewife.
- 46:29Speaker 6: Oh, if you've never watched it, I would do I
- 46:33Speaker 6: would do I would do Salt Lake City or Potomac.
- 46:36Speaker 6: Oh wow, oh wow, expected, unexpected. I would do Salt
- 46:39Speaker 6: Lake City because it just comes out the gate running
- 46:42Speaker 6: with like Mary Cosby, you know, and in Genshaw when
- 46:46Speaker 6: we know what's come in a couple. Genshaw getting arrested
- 46:51Speaker 6: is like a perfect hour of television. It plays like
- 46:53Speaker 6: an hour of twenty like an episode of twenty four.
- 46:56Speaker 6: And I would love for anyone to try to argue
- 46:58Speaker 6: me that it's not like Emmy words television just saying perfectly.
- 47:03Speaker 5: Like no notes. And then Potomac it just it also
- 47:07Speaker 5: like the.
- 47:08Speaker 6: First like four seasons are crazy like the season I
- 47:11Speaker 6: want to say, like season three four gets really really good.
- 47:14Speaker 4: Are you still watching The Bachelor at all?
- 47:16Speaker 2: No?
- 47:17Speaker 6: I know, I feel like I just like there's too
- 47:19Speaker 6: much and and I was like, come along. I feel
- 47:22Speaker 6: that's where my daughters I watched, Like that's the TV
- 47:25Speaker 6: they replaced that time.
- 47:26Speaker 4: I see you know what I mean?
- 47:27Speaker 2: Yeah, your family TV.
- 47:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I took over.
- 47:32Speaker 2: We have.

- 47:34Speaker 6: I promise we eat meals without any televisions. I cook
- 47:38Speaker 6: a lot, We go on family walks, we go to
- 47:41Speaker 6: the playground, we went.
- 47:43Speaker 1: To the theater last night. Cookies, we make ice cream.
- 47:50Speaker 1: Stephen time and a day there is Yeah.
- 47:53Speaker 6: He's obsessed with the Ninja Creamy. Do you guys known
- 47:57Speaker 6: about this Ninja creamy?
- 47:59Speaker 4: Like no, sure, creamy dog.
- 48:02Speaker 5: Yes, that's the thing.
- 48:04Speaker 6: It's this whole world of people that like love the
- 48:07Speaker 6: Ninja creamy. And this is not sponsored by Ninja Creamy,
- 48:10Speaker 6: but I would love to be sponsored by Ninja Creamy.
- 48:12Speaker 6: And and he like goes on deep Reddit threads to
- 48:15Speaker 6: find new recipes and ice cream.
- 48:18Speaker 5: Yes, but you can make it like super healthy, so
- 48:20Speaker 5: you can.
- 48:20Speaker 4: Use your homemade almond milk.
- 48:22Speaker 6: Yes, yeah, and it tastes like real ice cream, so
- 48:25Speaker 6: my kids think that they're having this like crazy decadent
- 48:28Speaker 6: treat and then like it's just like Steven in the
- 48:30Speaker 6: corner being like, yeah, nailed another recipe. Ninja creamy yes,
- 48:34Speaker 6: dates and almond milk yes yes, and like protein powders,
- 48:39Speaker 6: but like, oh yeah, he's obsessed, Like he keeps like
- 48:41Speaker 6: a catalog of the flavors.
- 48:42Speaker 5: He's rating them, he's trying different, Like you know, yeah.
- 48:46Speaker 2: Different, something up my alley.
- 48:49Speaker 6: I think you'd get into it, Yeah, get into it.
- 48:51Speaker 6: But there's a serious Yeah. The TikTok of the Ninja
- 48:55Speaker 6: creamy community is they're no joke.
- 48:57Speaker 3: No, That's That's what has almost got me into it
- 49:00Speaker 3: because I'm like, I think I could do this with
- 49:01Speaker 3: the help of the TikTok community, but I didn't know
- 49:04Speaker 3: there were subreddits.
- 49:07Speaker 4: Yes, I haven't gone that deep. Careful.
- 49:11Speaker 5: Apparently it's a slippery slide.
- 49:13Speaker 3: After I was on The Bachelor, I had gotten on
- 49:16Speaker 3: Reddit and before the season aired, people were so nice.
- 49:20Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, beca.
- 49:21Speaker 3: I think because they had already seen spoilers that I
- 49:23Speaker 3: made it further, so they were.
- 49:24Speaker 4: Already so nice to me.
- 49:26Speaker 3: By the end, of the season, I was like, I'm
- 49:28Speaker 3: never getting on Reddit again, because you know, if they
- 49:31Speaker 3: were rooting for someone else, they just automatically didn't like
- 49:35Speaker 3: didn't like me if they were rooting.
- 49:36Speaker 4: For someone else.
- 49:37Speaker 3: So far, so Reddit has been I've stayed off Reddit
- 49:40Speaker 3: since my Bachelor days.
- 49:42Speaker 6: I mean, I can't do the Reddit. The Reddit stresses
- 49:44Speaker 6: me out. I've never been on Reddit. I don't, I don't,
- 49:47Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 49:48Speaker 4: I don't recommend it.
- 49:49Speaker 6: Yeah, I know, even with the show coming out next week,
- 49:51Speaker 6: everyone was like, the fans will really jump in on Reddit.
- 49:54Speaker 6: So Reddit community, if you're listening, friend, I love you,
- 50:00Speaker 6: I will make you Ninja creamy ice cream. Yes, I
- 50:03Speaker 6: support you, I'm rooting for you. Yes for me.
- 50:06Speaker 3: But to be honest on something like that, obviously you shouldn't.
- 50:10Speaker 4: Read things like that.
- 50:10Speaker 3: I don't feel like anyone who's a part of the
- 50:12Speaker 3: show should read things, but someone should be reading it
- 50:14Speaker 3: because when it's a show or something, any attention that's
- 50:18Speaker 3: going to get people to watch it is good.
- 50:21Speaker 6: Well that's why I know, there's always like the worst
- 50:23Speaker 6: thing that anything can be as and anyone can feels
- 50:25Speaker 6: indifference like you want them to love it or.
- 50:28Speaker 2: Yeah, passion.
- 50:28Speaker 5: Yes, And I will say like.
- 50:31Speaker 6: There is no indifference to the to the storytelling and
- 50:35Speaker 6: this show like you you're going, it's going to make
- 50:37Speaker 6: you feel one way or the other. And I think
- 50:39Speaker 6: again the viral book talk videos like say it all
- 50:44Speaker 6: like you will have a feeling, it.
- 50:47Speaker 5: Will make you will have an opinion.
- 50:49Speaker 4: Wow, are there any.
- 50:50Speaker 3: Site list from on the show that are different from
- 50:56Speaker 3: the book?
- 50:58Speaker 6: No?
- 50:58Speaker 5: Oh, there are no, no, not that I can remember.
- 51:02Speaker 6: I know that. I feel like I should probably fudge
- 51:04Speaker 6: that answer and like you never know. Yeah, but no,
- 51:11Speaker 6: if you're a reader of the book, I truly feel
- 51:15Speaker 6: that the things that are different are just that, you know,
- 51:18Speaker 6: some logistical things that but really it's just that you're
- 51:23Speaker 6: expanding upon characters and maybe finding out some of the
- 51:26Speaker 6: things you would have learned about certain characters and later
- 51:31Speaker 6: on you kind of get to know them a little
- 51:32Speaker 6: bit better early on. But other it's really, you know,
- 51:35Speaker 6: it's I don't know. I have a good feeling that
- 51:38Speaker 6: the readers of the book will feel good.
- 51:40Speaker 3: I'm so excited show. So I'm very excited about this.
- 51:45Speaker 2: So it's called We Were Liars. It is coming out
- 51:49Speaker 2: June eighteenth, and you can watch it on Prime yep.
- 51:51Speaker 6: All at once, all and then you can watch it again,
- 51:54Speaker 6: and you can watch it again.
- 51:55Speaker 2: I will watch it again. I'm one of those people
- 51:57Speaker 2: like I if there's anybody that I love, I will rewatch.
- 52:00Speaker 2: They're like, I'll just have it on. I'll watch it
- 52:01Speaker 2: once and like actually pay attention, and then I'll just
- 52:04Speaker 2: have it on the TV for the support it.
- 52:08Speaker 6: I will say it is a beautiful like it's also
- 52:11Speaker 6: a very it's a very fun show to watch. It's
- 52:13Speaker 6: like it grips you. And then I've obviously I'd watched
- 52:18Speaker 6: many I'd watched the episodes a handful of times before,
- 52:20Speaker 6: and so when we got the screeners to watch them again,
- 52:25Speaker 6: I just found myself still being like, man.
- 52:27Speaker 5: It's so pretty there, gosh, Like I want to be there.
- 52:29Speaker 5: I want to be running on that beach.
- 52:31Speaker 6: And I was like, I did do that, but I
- 52:32Speaker 6: want to go back and do it again. Like it's
- 52:34Speaker 6: just so it is just esthetically this like magical dream world,
- 52:39Speaker 6: and the escapism is real and it's not just like
- 52:42Speaker 6: the whole thing is also it's an escapism for the characters.
- 52:45Speaker 6: They kind of run off to their own island, but
- 52:47Speaker 6: as a viewer. You kind of get to go on
- 52:49Speaker 6: that journey with them and escape like life, and escape
- 52:54Speaker 6: from your couch and just be like, I want to
- 52:56Speaker 6: be drinking wine next to this family and listen to
- 52:59Speaker 6: them just crazy.
- 53:02Speaker 4: Did you how long were you filming?
- 53:04Speaker 6: We filmed for five months in Nova, Scotia.
- 53:07Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, that's far away for a long time.
- 53:10Speaker 2: Yes, I know.
- 53:11Speaker 5: I road tripped up there.
- 53:12Speaker 6: I brought my car and like just packed it all
- 53:16Speaker 6: up and road tripped up there. I got this like airbnb.
- 53:19Speaker 6: It was this old it used to be an old
- 53:22Speaker 6: bed and breakfast from the eighteen hundreds. Like it was
- 53:25Speaker 6: like by the water, and it was close to a
- 53:26Speaker 6: lot of the locations and just kind of like had
- 53:29Speaker 6: this whole little summer life that was just And my
- 53:32Speaker 6: kids came up for a few months too, which is great.
- 53:34Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's fun.
- 53:35Speaker 2: Yeah, that's so nice.
- 53:36Speaker 4: Idea of driving your You drove your car up there.
- 53:40Speaker 6: It was, it was.
- 53:40Speaker 5: It was very nice.
- 53:41Speaker 6: It was nice to like have those I'd never done
- 53:43Speaker 6: a road trip like that by myself and I live
- 53:45Speaker 6: in Nashville, so it's quite it's quite a drive, but
- 53:49Speaker 6: it was it was nice to kind of quiet the
- 53:52Speaker 6: mind especially was like, I don't know, I'm a working parent.
- 53:55Speaker 6: It's and there was of course like inevitable mom guilt
- 53:58Speaker 6: that I have and you know, the oh, you're leaving
- 54:01Speaker 6: your children. I was like, well, now if I'm providing,
- 54:06Speaker 6: thank you. But yeah, it was nice to kind of
- 54:09Speaker 6: be able to collect my thoughts, and I think it is.
- 54:11Speaker 6: I think as women, it goes often like a box
- 54:17Speaker 6: unchecked that we for us to prioritize time for us
- 54:19Speaker 6: just to be alone and adventurous and curious and quiet
- 54:25Speaker 6: and weird and just like in that mode a little bit.
- 54:29Speaker 6: I think we always have like a trip plan with
- 54:30Speaker 6: friends or like a couple's thing or like something that's
- 54:33Speaker 6: always like structured. But just to kind of get in
- 54:36Speaker 6: your car and be alone with yourself for a few
- 54:39Speaker 6: days is intimidating and then also really healing on the
- 54:42Speaker 6: other side.
- 54:43Speaker 2: I love that interesting.
- 54:45Speaker 4: We love you so much.
- 54:47Speaker 3: You're beautiful, you're kind, you're so talented, you're literally everything.
- 54:51Speaker 4: Yeah, you're just you've got it all.
- 54:53Speaker 6: I'm like the ninja Creamy, the subreddit ninja Creamy have
- 54:59Speaker 6: all of the recipes.
